Spokane’s getting a major lifeline after last summer’s wildfires — $1 million from the state and $500K from the county, all aimed at helping families recover. Goodwill Industries will distribute funds directly to those in need, with waived city fees and Goodwill’s own fees slashed to just 8%. Eligibility extends up to 120% of area median income, opening doors for more families still waiting on insurance.
