Luna: Ik zoek een cadeau. Ik zoek een cadeau. That's nice and simple. Lucas: Exactly. Now the assistant will probably ask: 'Voor wie is het?' — 'Who is it for?' Luna: Voor wie is het? Oh, that's like 'for whom is it?' Makes sense. Lucas: Right. You can answer: 'Voor een meisje van vijf.' For a five-year-old girl. Luna: Voor een meisje van vijf. So the assistant might show me some dolls or something. Lucas: Yes. Then you can ask about the price: 'Wat is de prijs?' — 'What is the price?' Luna: Wat is de prijs. Wat is de prijs. I like that one — very direct. Lucas: It is. And if you like something but want a different color, you can say: 'Heeft u dit in het blauw?' — 'Do you have this in blue?' Luna: Heeft u dit in het blauw. So I can ask for blue specifically. Lucas: Exactly. And when you've decided, you say: 'Ik neem het.' — 'I'll take it.' Luna: Ik neem het.
