- 0:39SPEAKER_05: Like we can't tell.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: It's very on.
- 0:41SPEAKER_05: Oh my god, I feel like I feel like off balance.

- 0:48SPEAKER_05: We'll see.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:49SPEAKER_05: We'll see.
- 0:50SPEAKER_05: We'll see.
- 0:51SPEAKER_05: Okay, so I let's just like get into it.
- 0:53SPEAKER_05: Like my diaper is changed.
- 0:55SPEAKER_05: Y'all want to have stuff to say about my mood last week?
- 0:57SPEAKER_05: You're not gonna have anything to say about it today.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, freshly changed diaper.
- 1:01SPEAKER_05: Freshly changed diaper, FCD.
- 1:03SPEAKER_05: And just know that each and every one of you who brought something up about my mood last week, I was annoyed every time.
- 1:07SPEAKER_05: I was annoyed every time you brought it up.
- 1:09SPEAKER_05: Because maybe if you had a business you were passionate about, you'd understand what it takes to run a business, but you don't.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Well.
- 1:17SPEAKER_05: So I just need to get off that off my chest.
- 1:19SPEAKER_05: And I have a few other things to get off my chest.
- 1:21SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:21SPEAKER_05: We're just gonna get right into it.
- 1:22SPEAKER_05: I have a lot on my chest today.
- 1:25SPEAKER_05: So I get back from LA and I get in my car, and like I'm just the type of person where I'm like, oh my keys, like, if I can't find them, they're probably just like in my car.
- 1:34SPEAKER_05: So I get in my car and I go to Press Start and it says key not detected.
- 1:38SPEAKER_05: So I'm like, oh my key's not in my car.
- 1:39SPEAKER_05: So I start.
- 1:40SPEAKER_05: Um also I'm wearing a CCH today, a chin covering hoodie.
- 1:44SPEAKER_05: So if you keep seeing me pull it up, yeah, that's right.
- 1:46SPEAKER_05: Mach next season is coming back.
- 1:47SPEAKER_05: You're about to not see my chin for the next like three months, right?
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 1:52SPEAKER_05: And so I look in my car, I look in my bag, I look at like every like, and I just like cannot find these keys.
- 1:58SPEAKER_05: I'm like, what's happening?
- 2:00SPEAKER_05: So I for a whole day I couldn't find them.
- 2:03SPEAKER_05: Then the next day I cancel all my plans that first half of the day.
- 2:06SPEAKER_05: I clear my closet out top to bottom.
- 2:08SPEAKER_05: Oh, you were clear.
- 2:10SPEAKER_05: Literally cleared.
- 2:11SPEAKER_05: Literally hours and hours.
- 2:13SPEAKER_05: Then I cleared out my whole bedroom.
- 2:15SPEAKER_05: I took my mattress off my like off my bed.
- 2:17SPEAKER_05: Like I cleared, okay?
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:20SPEAKER_05: Then I cleared out my car, top to bottom.
- 2:22SPEAKER_05: Key nowhere to be found.
- 2:24SPEAKER_05: I just had to come to the conclusion that the earth opened up and swallowed up this key.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: There, like, there's genuinely nowhere they could be.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: I called the hotel he was out in LA.
- 2:32SPEAKER_05: She called the hotel was out in LA.
- 2:34SPEAKER_05: I was gonna sit there at Jesse's house in Salt Lake, but there was no physical way that they could be there because I had driven my car to do this podcast after I got back from Salt Lake.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:42SPEAKER_05: I called the fair, I called the Tulsa Airport, I called the Denver Airport, I called the LA, I called every airport I had been.
- 2:47SPEAKER_05: I was like, maybe they fell out of my bag.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 2:50SPEAKER_05: I called Ford.
- 2:51SPEAKER_05: They after all of the fees and everything, after to get the fob, to get the actual key.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: So I did not know how expensive it was to get a fob.
- 2:59SPEAKER_05: Oh, keys are expensive.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: I did not know that.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Fobs are expensive.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Foster.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: This is my first fob key.
- 3:06SPEAKER_05: Don't lose that key.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I'm it's it's attached to my hip name.
- 3:09SPEAKER_05: Like, like I'm not even kidding.
- 3:10SPEAKER_05: Like I'm about to wear it.
- 3:11SPEAKER_05: I'm about to wear it as an earring.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: No, as a bell.
- 3:14SPEAKER_05: So so it so I never leaves me.
- 3:17SPEAKER_05: So I call Ford.
- 3:21SPEAKER_05: I say, I need a da-da-da.
- 3:23SPEAKER_05: Um da da da da da da da da da.
- 3:26SPEAKER_05: Oh, after the fob, the key, the service, the ordering, the everything, because it wasn't in stock, whatever.
- 3:32SPEAKER_05: And then I have to get a tow truck through a third party.
- 3:35SPEAKER_05: I love the term third party, by the way.
- 3:37SPEAKER_05: I no, I love a third party.
- 3:38SPEAKER_05: It's so all encompassed.
- 3:39SPEAKER_05: Like it's just it's a perfect phrase.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: And no one really knows what it means.
- 3:43SPEAKER_05: A third party tow, a TPT, and to bring my car to Ford because they don't do it mobile.
- 3:50SPEAKER_05: And then I was gonna have to pay for the calibration, all stuff.
- 3:52SPEAKER_05: It comes out with like$750.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: $750?
- 3:56SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 3:56SPEAKER_05: So I um I call a local locksmith.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:02SPEAKER_05: Um, which also the term locksmith uh is also turned to me.
- 4:05SPEAKER_05: I'm like, are we in the medieval times?
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Like are you gonna show up like I wanna be a locksmith?
- 4:09SPEAKER_05: Like a like a pitchfork?
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 4:11SPEAKER_05: And so and like a big metal hammer, Thor.
- 4:14SPEAKER_05: So anyway.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: A big sword.
- 4:16SPEAKER_05: I I call a locksmith that I it's gonna cost, it ended up costing like$310.
- 4:24SPEAKER_05: So$310, he comes, does it, the key kind of like doesn't even really like work that well.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: It's like kind of working.
- 4:31SPEAKER_05: It's like you have to put it in a certain spot and like turn it at a certain angle, and then your car registers it.
- 4:35SPEAKER_05: Like that's where I was at.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Like in 2008, did you ever have these wire wired headphones that you have to like wrap around your phone because they didn't work, or did you have a fresh pair of earphones all the time?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: I had one pair of skull candies that I had to wrap around.
- 4:47SPEAKER_05: So I don't know if you know this, but I was telling a story.
- 4:50SPEAKER_05: So I'm just kidding.
- 4:52SPEAKER_05: Guys, I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
- 4:53SPEAKER_05: Okay, Lauren Defenders, Lauren Defenders, put down your signs.
- 4:58SPEAKER_05: They were valid.
- 4:59SPEAKER_05: Put down your signs, put down your signs.
- 5:01SPEAKER_05: I'm kidding.
- 5:02SPEAKER_05: Yes, and also I have I'm that way with phone chargers too.
- 5:05SPEAKER_05: No, exactly.
- 5:05SPEAKER_05: We have a phone charger where it's like it has to be like always tilted back and attached to the back of your legs.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I'm like for$310, I can't be doing it.
- 5:14SPEAKER_05: Such I was giving, but I was like, I have I was like, I have plans, like I have lunch plans.
- 5:17SPEAKER_05: Like I like, I don't I don't care what I have to do with this.
- 5:19SPEAKER_05: So anyway, guys.
- 5:25SPEAKER_05: I pay$310 for this Boped key to the top.
- 5:30SPEAKER_05: And I go inside and I'm like, okay, well now I can go to my plans.
- 5:34SPEAKER_05: I go to put my foot in this hair shoe.
- 5:38SPEAKER_05: I go to put my foot in this hair shoe.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: And I feel a little something with my toes.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: I feel a little something with my titsies, and I go, I thought it was a spider.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: I go, what is that?
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: What is that I'm feeling with my toes right now?
- 5:52SPEAKER_05: I give my my shoe a little shake.
- 5:57SPEAKER_05: Out pops my key.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: An indescribable feeling.
- 6:01SPEAKER_05: My fob.
- 6:03SPEAKER_05: I the amount of race.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: I I like Guys, they've he has been searching skim to stern two days.
- 6:12SPEAKER_05: In my shoe, am I SpongeBob?

- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 6:17SPEAKER_05: Am I a cartoon?
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yes.
- 6:18SPEAKER_05: My fob is in my shoe.
- 6:19SPEAKER_05: Oh, dude, dude, do like the the Lou the Lou who lives in the shoe.
- 6:24SPEAKER_05: Like, I like not only was my car key in there, my original fob, my original good fob.
- 6:29SPEAKER_05: What else was it?
- 6:30SPEAKER_05: But also a charger cube that I've been looking for for weeks.
- 6:34SPEAKER_05: In my hair shoe.
- 6:35SPEAKER_05: Ask me if I ever put it in my shoe.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:38SPEAKER_05: No.
- 6:39SPEAKER_05: Why would I put a car key in a shoe?
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Put it there.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Got up and walk.
- 6:43SPEAKER_05: I have no idea how it got in my shoe.
- 6:44SPEAKER_05: Really?

- 6:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:49SPEAKER_05: $310 out of now.
- 6:50SPEAKER_05: I have a bopped.
- 6:51SPEAKER_05: Now I have$310 less in my account.
- 6:54SPEAKER_05: My account went negative on the way here this morning.
- 6:56SPEAKER_05: Like this morning when I was like, oh, it'd be so sweet if you picked me up in Alana today.
- 6:59SPEAKER_05: It's because I had no money.
- 7:00SPEAKER_05: Like that's why.
- 7:01SPEAKER_05: That's why I didn't go in.
- 7:02SPEAKER_05: I have zero dollars.
- 7:03SPEAKER_05: Actually, I have negative, I have negative money.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: You should have told me.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: I literally was on my way.

- 7:14SPEAKER_05: Sure.
- 7:14SPEAKER_05: No, but I'm freaking pissed.
- 7:16SPEAKER_05: I'm freaking pissed.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: No, I would be stupid.
- 7:18SPEAKER_05: Do you want to know how embarrassing it is to put my Tootsie in my shoe and feel the fob?
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: And like pull them out, betwinst your toes and jiggle them.
- 7:27SPEAKER_05: Betwingst.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: No, when you called me and you're like, oh my gosh, you you shared that story yesterday.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: I l I thought it was like a spider or something.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: I didn't, I was not expecting a full fob.
- 7:37SPEAKER_05: A full, a full fob.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: I feel the anger from the phone.
- 7:41SPEAKER_05: Oh, and here's the thing, y'all are hearing the PG version of my thoughts on this right now.
- 7:45SPEAKER_05: Like, I was letting it rip.
- 7:48SPEAKER_05: I was letting it rip.
- 7:50SPEAKER_05: I felt like a nuclear bomb.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: No, I felt it.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Like I was so excited, like whatever, on my way to see Powell.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: And then I was like, oh my gosh.

- 8:11SPEAKER_05: Like, yeah.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Insane.
- 8:14SPEAKER_05: Anyway.

- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Like I could not breathe this morning.
- 8:30SPEAKER_05: That's kind of turn.

- 10:28SPEAKER_05: Oh shoot, yeah.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:30SPEAKER_05: That's okay.
- 10:31SPEAKER_05: It did good.
- 10:31SPEAKER_05: Lisa Barlow shared on her story.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, I love Lisa Barlow.
- 10:34SPEAKER_05: So this I chose the cow.
- 10:36SPEAKER_05: I'm so confident in my choice.

- 10:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 10:58SPEAKER_05: I had a few bedreams.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.

- 12:00SPEAKER_05: One of those.
- 12:02SPEAKER_05: Um I also have something else to talk about.
- 12:04SPEAKER_05: So we went to turnstile on OKC on Monday.
- 12:06SPEAKER_05: So I flew back from LA and we went to Turnstown OKC.
- 12:10SPEAKER_05: So good.
- 12:10SPEAKER_05: This could be a truth serum, but I just like want to like say this right now to that man who works security in OKC.
- 12:17SPEAKER_05: I genuinely hope you really had a bad week.
- 12:19SPEAKER_05: I I like I don't want you to like I don't want you to like pass away or anything.
- 12:22SPEAKER_05: Like I like I'm not saying anything that bad, but I really want you to like, I want, I want life to like hit you a little bit.
- 12:29SPEAKER_05: This is the most annoying, angry, mean, honestly, like slandering person.
- 12:34SPEAKER_05: Like, I genuinely like one thing about me is when security says it's time you have to leave or something.
- 12:41SPEAKER_05: I what I do is I go for sure, and then I turn around and I leave.
- 12:45SPEAKER_05: Like, I'm not like I like I think that there is there are people who they have never had an opportunity to have authority in their life.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Ever.
- 12:55SPEAKER_05: I know this man has no children and no wife.
- 12:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he has no world to have any say in something.
- 13:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 13:02SPEAKER_05: So they become security guards.
- 13:04SPEAKER_05: I'm not saying this is all security guards, but this man, so that he can have an opportunity to exercise to exercise authority.
- 13:11SPEAKER_05: So he comes out to us.
- 13:12SPEAKER_05: Keep in mind, we were waiting longer because Trevor, our best friend, was like shooting the event and we were gonna hang out with him afterwards.
- 13:20SPEAKER_05: But we were like, but I also like said to Lauren a hundred times, I was like, let's just meet him outside.
- 13:23SPEAKER_05: Like, we're not even gonna be meeting him right here.
- 13:26SPEAKER_05: So the security guard comes up to us and says, Hey, like, you guys need to leave.
- 13:29SPEAKER_05: I was like, okay, I literally, I go, okay, I go for sure.
- 13:33SPEAKER_05: I turn, I start leaving.
- 13:35SPEAKER_05: He's following me out.
- 13:36SPEAKER_05: He's talking something again, she's talking to me as I'm walking out.
- 13:42SPEAKER_05: I ate the one.
- 13:43SPEAKER_05: I ain't the one.
- 13:46SPEAKER_05: So he's and I turn around, I so I turn around, and he's right here.
- 13:50SPEAKER_05: I do this.
- 13:50SPEAKER_05: He's okay because he's he's two apples tall.
- 13:53SPEAKER_05: And I go like I just go like this.
- 13:55SPEAKER_05: I go.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: He just looks him up and down.
- 14:00SPEAKER_05: I just said that to assert my tallness.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: And all I said.
- 14:03SPEAKER_05: And he goes, Don't do that little gay look at me.
- 14:11SPEAKER_05: Gay look.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: I was like, you shouldn't have given him a gay look.
- 14:14SPEAKER_05: I was like, uh No, anyway.
- 14:16SPEAKER_05: So I looked at him, so I look at him, I do this.
- 14:17SPEAKER_05: I go, I go, I know this is your only environment to ever have authority, so I'll let you have that.
- 14:22SPEAKER_05: And then and then and then a cop comes up, and honestly, like I cop kind of weird.
- 14:28SPEAKER_05: He goes up, he he steps in front of the screen and he goes, To me, to me.
- 14:34SPEAKER_05: He goes, just one big and I was like, I go, I literally was obeying, I was leaving.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: But he was equally as mad at me.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: And I the thing is is like I learned from that moment too.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: It's like even like I should not have kept because I tried to reason with him, and some people can't be reasoned with him.
- 14:53SPEAKER_05: Lauren was trying to reason with him and he took it out on me, and I was like, I'm not here trying to reason.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he really went after you because for me, I all I said to him, I was like, hey, we just need like 30 more seconds, we're just gonna wait here.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: He's like, no, and I said, Okay, I'll let you have your one little thing.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: He's like, Well, I have everything missing.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: You are not my one little thing.
- 15:11SPEAKER_05: And then he's like too.
- 15:14SPEAKER_05: I can list 20 things you don't have.
- 15:16SPEAKER_05: 10 and 10.
- 15:17SPEAKER_05: I can actually miss 20.
- 15:18SPEAKER_05: I can list 20 things you don't have.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: All the security guards were off.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Literally, I will drop name drop them off.
- 15:25SPEAKER_05: I never want to go back to that video ever again.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: And I never want to go back to Oklahoma City.
- 15:29SPEAKER_05: And well, ooh.
- 15:30SPEAKER_05: Oh, I didn't know.
- 15:31SPEAKER_05: We're not trying to start a war of war.
- 15:32SPEAKER_05: We're not trying to start a civil war.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: No.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, it's like learn, like, he needs to learn to drop something.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Like you turned around and you dropped it, and he kept, that's why you kept going.
- 15:41SPEAKER_05: Because he kept following you out and even drop originally because he literally was like leaving.
- 15:46SPEAKER_05: I go, okay, I start walking out.
- 15:48SPEAKER_05: Like, I'm not one to argue with this.
- 15:50SPEAKER_05: Like, that's not me.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:54SPEAKER_05: So anyway, I I actually I actually hope he had like a little, like a kind of a bad week.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he slipped on a banana peel.
- 15:59SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like things like that.
- 16:00SPEAKER_05: Like, I hope he slips on a banana peel.
- 16:02SPEAKER_05: I hope that his pillow is hot, very, very, very hot.
- 16:05SPEAKER_05: I hope that his shower, the, the, the water is cold.
- 16:09SPEAKER_05: Like, yeah, I hope they get his order wrong.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Like, no, exactly.
- 16:13SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:14SPEAKER_05: But anyway.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: So anyway, they need to fix their issues.
- 16:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:17SPEAKER_05: I hope when he like brushes his gums in the morning that like he runs out of toothpaste.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And the bristles off the toothbrush like hit his throat.
- 16:25SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: You know what has Avenue?
- 16:27SPEAKER_05: Not in the slightest.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: But you know what I mean?
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: But I respect it.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Do you brush your tongue?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, you can't.
- 16:32SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and I have a tongue scraper.
- 16:33SPEAKER_05: I did a whole ICU on it.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: You did.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: But yeah, no, whenever you're brushing, nothing pisses me off more than whenever you're really going in and then you feel a little cough and you do like a little whatever and the bristles fall off and it just like thro floods your throat.
- 16:47SPEAKER_05: Never once.
- 16:48SPEAKER_05: Oh my gosh.
- 16:48SPEAKER_05: So I hope that never happened.
- 16:51SPEAKER_05: The Dollar Tree?
- 16:52SPEAKER_05: Why are your bristles on the streets?
- 16:53SPEAKER_05: Why are your bristles falling off in your throat?
- 16:57SPEAKER_05: But your bristles are falling off in your throat.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: No, I get the Reach brand, and I get um medium to firm, so I just brush a little too hard, maybe.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: Anyway, let's move on.
- 17:06SPEAKER_05: But no, speaking of which, I lost my tongue scraper because it was in that bag that I lost.
- 17:09SPEAKER_05: Thank you guys.
- 17:10SPEAKER_05: I have an update.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: You got a new one?
- 17:12SPEAKER_05: I got that bag.
- 17:13SPEAKER_05: I got my luggage back.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: He got his luggage back.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: I got my luggage back.
- 17:16SPEAKER_05: I'm at the Tulsa airport and I just felt something in my bosom.
- 17:18SPEAKER_05: I go, why don't I just like go see if it somehow got from Germany to Tulsa?
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: And the fact that they didn't notify you is crazy.
- 17:26SPEAKER_05: I go in there, it's just been sitting there.
- 17:28SPEAKER_05: I go, how long has this been here?
- 17:29SPEAKER_05: So guess what?
- 17:30SPEAKER_05: Every receipt of everything I bought over the last six weeks, I I'm literally saying, I'm sending them my rent.
- 17:34SPEAKER_05: No, you need no every key.
- 17:36SPEAKER_05: Like I paid rent while I lost a lot.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Your key fob receipt is gone.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: The key fob.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Calem, if you're hearing this, like click off.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: You should reimburse it.
- 17:48SPEAKER_05: I am putting the key fob on there.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Allegedly.
- 17:52SPEAKER_05: This is the thing.
- 17:52SPEAKER_05: I will never steal from a mom and pop.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: No.
- 17:55SPEAKER_05: Like that's why I even almost feel bad talking about the Centurion, because I hope that it's not like a mom and pop owned.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: No.
- 17:59SPEAKER_05: Owned.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: But even with that, people need to be held accountable.
- 18:02SPEAKER_05: But like big delta, big airline, like sorry, you can cough up 300.
- 18:04SPEAKER_05: Like I have to pay for my check bags.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:07SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 18:08SPEAKER_05: Anyway.
- 18:08SPEAKER_05: Anyway.
- 18:09SPEAKER_05: Do you have any and do you have any PTSB to get into?
- 18:12SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 18:12SPEAKER_05: Let's get into our truth serums then.
- 18:14SPEAKER_05: Our truth serums are just things that we want to get off our chest.
- 18:16SPEAKER_05: It can be literally anything.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Do you want a lozenge?
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: A shared lozenge?
- 18:20SPEAKER_05: Sure.
- 18:20SPEAKER_05: I'll waterfall though.
- 18:22SPEAKER_05: You don't have to waterfall your own beverage.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: I just didn't.
- 18:25SPEAKER_05: Due to my lack of money today, we're having a communion, your communal Alani.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:32SPEAKER_05: Start your truth serum.
- 18:33SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 18:33SPEAKER_05: While I do this.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Do you not want to go first with your truth serum?
- 18:39SPEAKER_05: Do I?
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, start.
- 18:42SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 18:42SPEAKER_05: I just feel like I've talked the most today.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't care.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: We've talked about it.
- 18:46SPEAKER_05: No, I don't need a I don't need a dissertation on the equal balance of our communicating.
- 18:49SPEAKER_05: I just like be I want you to talk more now.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: And that's in a kind way because I really love to hear what Lauren has to say on every meaner.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: It's gonna sound sarcastic.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: You actually you actually are being sweet.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: No, I am.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 19:03SPEAKER_05: No, no, no, no, I am.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: So my true serum today is a stage fight.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Oh my true serum today is we need to stop being.
- 19:18SPEAKER_05: Wait, before you say this, we're trying something new today.
- 19:20SPEAKER_05: Neither of us have any idea what we're talking about.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 19:23SPEAKER_05: We're trying something new today.
- 19:24SPEAKER_05: We're trying.
- 19:25SPEAKER_05: We have no idea what each other's true serums are, what our weekly doses are.
- 19:27SPEAKER_05: I see as nothing.
- 19:28SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 19:28SPEAKER_05: We are so I this all fresh.
- 19:31SPEAKER_05: Okay, sorry.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, go.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: We need to stop being desensitized to big moments in our friends and families' lives.
- 19:41unknown: Yeah.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: And I talked about this a little on TikTok.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Did you already see my little TikTok about it?
- 19:45SPEAKER_05: I did.
- 19:46SPEAKER_05: Actually, I'm gonna be honest.
- 19:47SPEAKER_05: I saw the first four seconds.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, perfect.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: What did my hook not grab you?
- 19:52SPEAKER_05: Um, I don't really watch things on I don't know.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: You're desensitized to my success.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Essentially.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: So keep going.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: So this is for you today and everyone.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Um, no, I didn't know it was about you, but I'll group you in.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: But essentially what I mean by this is that certain people in our lives, they are always accomplishing things, they're always doing things all the all of the time.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: And when we see it all the time, just like if someone's on a trip, people get trip fatigue because it's like, okay, they're really hyping up and liking your first week of photos and pictures.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: And if you're there for more than like six days on a trip, people are gonna be like, oh, he's still in Mykonos, he's still in whatever.
- 20:31SPEAKER_05: Oh, people were like, He's still in Italy.
- 20:33SPEAKER_05: I was like, Yeah, I am.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: And it's just like, okay, yeah, like it's still cool, it's still awesome, whatever.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: A more serious one would be like, okay, well, if someone's growing in their business and they're hitting these milestones and like posting and sharing and things like that, it is natural, and that's what I want to uh preface here.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: It is very natural to feel like desensitize.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: I'm just trying to like snap it out of all of us because you see these things, and if they're sharing the milestones, it's like, oh, he or she is always accomplishing, he or she is always having another baby, or always doing this, that, and the third.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: And the people accomplishing, the people having babies, the people doing this, that, and the third, they can feel that people are no longer caring, and it's it is kind of making them feel like, okay, well, is what I'm doing like no longer important?
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: All of that.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: But it is just so natural to stop caring as much.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Just like I like my skin, I had like a little bit of makeup on my TikTok the other day, and everyone commented, like, oh my gosh, her skin looks amazing, her skin, oh my gosh, makeup, whatever.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: It's because I don't wear makeup in my stuff.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: But if I wore makeup every day, people wouldn't think to compliment that.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
- 21:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no, I love an illustrated sermon.
- 21:40SPEAKER_05: No, it is.
- 21:41SPEAKER_05: No, I think an example of that, which I don't know if this is what's in inspiring, but like Trevor.
- 21:46SPEAKER_05: Yes, just like exactly like the fact that like I remember like when he like when we were like best friends in college, like him like us like uh putting together an email for him to send to this like exactly a certain artist.
- 21:59SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 22:00SPEAKER_05: To like possibly try to like you know send photos and like and he was sneaking his camera into like concerts and like now he's shooting SNL, Lollapalooza, Coachella, like also and it becomes desensitized because you see it all a GQ.
- 22:14SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 22:14SPEAKER_05: And it becomes like you become desensitized to it.
- 22:18SPEAKER_05: And it's like, no, like let us not forget.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: And it's like every single thing he does is a big deal.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Just like uh Big Trey, he's a huge content creator in Oklahoma.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: He's always hosting things, always doing amazing things, and I hype up every single one because he's just is consistently doing more and more amazing things.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: So I'm just letting us all know, like, hey, it is okay to continually celebrate everything forever.
- 22:41SPEAKER_05: Because it's on every level, like even like becoming like a content creator in like Tulsa or whatever.
- 22:47SPEAKER_05: Like I remember like getting my first collab where it was like like we went to Andalini's and like we didn't have to pay for the lunch because we were doing a collab.
- 22:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it was like crazy.
- 22:54SPEAKER_05: It was crazy.
- 22:55SPEAKER_05: And like, and it's like we need to remember like that feeling exactly like about everything.
- 23:00SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 23:01SPEAKER_05: So I completely agree.
- 23:02SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: So that's mine.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: We can get to sensitized about our own things and for others, especially.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: So it's a little more serious today, but I just felt like I needed to bring it here.
- 23:11SPEAKER_05: No, that's okay.
- 23:12SPEAKER_05: Mine's like not serious.
- 23:13SPEAKER_05: Oh, perfect.
- 23:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 23:14SPEAKER_05: Mine is this.
- 23:15SPEAKER_05: Don't bring me to a restaurant that doesn't have a seat with a back.
- 23:19SPEAKER_05: I'm so sorry.
- 23:20SPEAKER_05: Bar stool culture has got to go.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it is about, I think it's was it 2017 when start people started wearing like the red flannels and like beards became a thing, like the lumberjack, like the tight pants.
- 23:35SPEAKER_05: I would say it's like 2015.
- 23:36SPEAKER_05: Very, like very Mumford and Sons.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know what hit the restaurant scene, but But we wanted bar stools all the time.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Barstools.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Wood decor all of that big lumberjack mustaches, a beanie.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Get out of here.
- 23:50SPEAKER_05: Everybody bikes.
- 23:50SPEAKER_05: Like I like, and here's the thing.
- 23:52SPEAKER_05: I understand a vibe.
- 23:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 23:54SPEAKER_05: My seat needs to have a back.
- 23:56SPEAKER_05: I'm not hunching over to eat my meal.
- 23:57SPEAKER_05: Like, I don't like, and here's the other thing too.
- 23:59SPEAKER_05: Like, bring back comfort.
- 24:02SPEAKER_05: Like, there, the amount of times where it's like, I'm not even through the appetizer, and I already feel like my butt crack goes down to my ankles.
- 24:07SPEAKER_05: No, exactly.
- 24:08SPEAKER_05: Like my butt is flat.
- 24:09SPEAKER_05: My butt is concave.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 24:10SPEAKER_05: Like, and and then you're not gonna have me a seat with a back.
- 24:13SPEAKER_05: There are times where we show up to a restaurant and like the seats don't have a back.
- 24:17SPEAKER_05: I'm like, I'm not eating here.
- 24:18SPEAKER_05: I'm not eating here.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: We were at this pizza place the other day, and I was like, I turned your seat so that you can lean against the wall.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: You're like, you shouldn't even have to do all this.
- 24:26SPEAKER_05: I I no, like I I don't want a bar stool, I don't want a bench.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: No.
- 24:30SPEAKER_05: If I wanted to get bleach about, I'd go to a baseball game.
- 24:33SPEAKER_05: Like, I don't need that over my meal.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: No, that's valid.
- 24:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: No, I love that.
- 24:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no, me too.
- 24:39SPEAKER_05: So don't bring me anywhere with a seat without a back.
- 24:41SPEAKER_05: Like, I'm not even kidding.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: You guys need to prioritize comfort again.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Quit with the aesthetics.
- 24:45SPEAKER_05: Like, I mean two things can coexist.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: What's an example to you of a great seat with a back with an aesthetic environment?
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:55SPEAKER_05: I mean, like list every chair.
- 24:57SPEAKER_05: Like, I don't like, like, oh, oh, you want comfort?
- 25:00SPEAKER_05: Name every chair.
- 25:05SPEAKER_05: Like, I don't know.
- 25:06SPEAKER_05: But anyway, but I I thank you for being conversational.
- 25:09SPEAKER_05: No, exactly.
- 25:09SPEAKER_05: All right, we're gonna get into our weekly doses, which our weekly doses is we both bring two pop culture headlines that we're like interested in or whatever.
- 25:18SPEAKER_05: You know?
- 25:18SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 25:19SPEAKER_05: And again, we have no idea what each other brought.
- 25:20SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 25:21SPEAKER_05: I'm also interested to know if if we happen to bring the same ones.
- 25:23SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 25:24SPEAKER_05: Because I actually could see you choosing both of these.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: No, same.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: And that's why like the ones I chose, I chose different ones.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh, these are ones that we could overlap on.
- 25:31SPEAKER_05: Okay, let's do this.
- 25:32SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna go one, two, three.
- 25:34SPEAKER_05: Say like the name of the famous person involved in one of your stories.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, ready?
- 25:38SPEAKER_05: Ready?
- 25:38SPEAKER_05: Three, two, one, Gypsy Rose.
- 25:40SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 25:41SPEAKER_05: Now it's do our other one.
- 25:42SPEAKER_05: Ready?
- 25:43SPEAKER_05: Three, two, one, Alex Earl.
- 25:45SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 25:46SPEAKER_05: Okay, we're good.
- 25:47SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Wait, that was sweet of us.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Hold him.
- 25:52unknown: Okay.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: Alright, go.
- 25:54SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 25:56SPEAKER_05: Alex Earl says she's never read a book.
- 25:59SPEAKER_05: In an interview magazine, Rapid Fire QA, editor-in-chief Mel Odenberg asked Alex what the last book she read was.
- 26:05SPEAKER_05: Her response was, I've never read a book.
- 26:07SPEAKER_05: Like maybe Dr.
- 26:08SPEAKER_05: Seuss.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: She was being silly.
- 26:10SPEAKER_05: But also, I see her.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, I think the part of it is like people turn it into like, we're going through a serious literary crisis.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: Like, how dare you be on your platform and like say that?
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: That is like where people are taking it.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: I think she's being silly.
- 26:24SPEAKER_05: I think she's being silly too.
- 26:26SPEAKER_05: Cause like, I mean, you had to read something.
- 26:27SPEAKER_05: Like, you like to kill a mocking bird, like you had to read something.
- 26:30SPEAKER_05: But like, sorry, like, yeah.
- 26:32SPEAKER_05: Like, I want to be someone who reads so bad.
- 26:35SPEAKER_05: There's nothing I want more than to break open a Kindle pool slide.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: You'd be, I you would love a Kindle.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: I don't have one.
- 26:41SPEAKER_05: I would open my Kindle for everyone to see.
- 26:43SPEAKER_05: And then I would try to like download Angry Birds or something.
- 26:46SPEAKER_05: Like, I like I want to be someone who reads so bad.
- 26:49SPEAKER_05: The only books that I ever read that like I remember when I was younger, I tried to like pretend to read The Hardy Boys, and like my mom would be proud of me, and I'm like, I like didn't like really read it.
- 26:58SPEAKER_05: And then um in and then just looked at the cover.
- 27:02SPEAKER_05: As an adult, Hunger Games trilogy, I actually read.
- 27:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like I actually really liked it.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:09SPEAKER_05: But other than that, it's like I I I genuinely have zero desire to read a book.
- 27:14SPEAKER_05: I hated school with everything.
- 27:16SPEAKER_05: I mean, I hated school.
- 27:18SPEAKER_05: I hated school so much.
- 27:19SPEAKER_05: I hated homework, I hated learning.
- 27:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I hated everything about it.
- 27:22SPEAKER_05: So to me, I'm just like, I see her in that way.
- 27:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 27:25SPEAKER_05: And then also for um, and then um, what's her face?
- 27:29SPEAKER_05: Jenna Bush Hager.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Don't know her.
- 27:33SPEAKER_05: Um, Jenna, I'm pretty sure it was her.
- 27:35SPEAKER_05: It was the girl, Jenna and Friends, like Good Morning America Hoda, Jenna.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, yeah.
- 27:41SPEAKER_05: I think it was her, but she like I guess, like, I guess kind of shaded Alex Earl and like gave like a shady list of books that she should like recommendations.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: See, so my thing is is what I don't like is when something like this happens.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: I don't like when everyone pulls out of the woodwork because I know book talk was like going crazy on this and be like, oh yeah, Alex, you don't read during a literary crisis.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: This is all the books I read.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: They always hop in an opportunity to do something like that.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: You know what I'm saying?
- 28:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah, my head hurts.
- 28:06SPEAKER_05: Sorry.
- 28:06SPEAKER_05: No, no, no, no.
- 28:07SPEAKER_05: If you're wondering what I'm experiencing right now, my head hurts.
- 28:08SPEAKER_05: I forgot to eat dinner last night.
- 28:09SPEAKER_05: Really?
- 28:10SPEAKER_05: So small, yeah.
- 28:11SPEAKER_05: No, I agree.
- 28:12SPEAKER_05: Book talk like rose up.
- 28:14SPEAKER_05: Like this was a good thing.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 28:17SPEAKER_05: Even if what even if the content is valid, like I remember like when Timothy Chalamet came out with the ballet, which like he shouldn't have done.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:23SPEAKER_05: That was like, you know, ballet talk.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 28:26SPEAKER_05: Like they took their exactly baton pass.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: So kindergarten, they like pull out and like do a plie 363.
- 28:33SPEAKER_05: No, they were like when I learned to do a plie 360 when I was in fourth grade, that you know what I mean.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: They all exactly they stood up.
- 28:39SPEAKER_05: But it's just like I Which I'm not saying that the argument is wrong.
- 28:41SPEAKER_05: I Timothy Shawmi was 100% wrong, by the way.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: This is me.
- 28:45SPEAKER_05: This is my this is my time.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: So she clapped back at them, didn't she like read a doctor so book or something?
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:51SPEAKER_05: Love.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: Which I love.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, is I can't really read that well either, so I'm trying.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Like I read.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: The thing is, I read well.
- 28:57SPEAKER_05: Like I was the person that like when like when we were reading in the class and it got to me, like, I did not stutter.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:03SPEAKER_05: And there were times where I even like I would skim read like the sentence and I would look up for like for opinions of others like while reading.
- 29:10SPEAKER_05: Like it's like this is you know a congregational read.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: No, I love that.
- 29:14SPEAKER_05: Like that was my time to shine.
- 29:16SPEAKER_05: It was and like anytime somebody like did like do kind of bad, I was like, like chuckle at point.
- 29:20SPEAKER_05: Wait, like she's like bad at reading.
- 29:22SPEAKER_05: No, exactly.
- 29:23SPEAKER_05: Um not if they like had like a dyslexia or something, like I had grace for that.
- 29:26SPEAKER_05: I'm just saying the people who were like, I don't know, who deserved, like, I don't know who were like me, honestly.
- 29:30SPEAKER_05: Maybe people who were like mean and then they like with read bad, and I was like, oh okay.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Also, do you want me?
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: I can try a little trick for your headache.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: No, please.
- 29:40SPEAKER_05: I mean, say it to me first.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: I'm going to pinch, like, so it's a little um what's it called?
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: Pressure point.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: A pressure point.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Let me do a pressure point.
- 29:48SPEAKER_05: I don't want that.
- 29:49SPEAKER_05: Thank you though for thank you though for that.
- 29:51SPEAKER_05: You're welcome.
- 29:52SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: You should finish my Alani.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: And I'll get one on the other.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: It's a food-related headache.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 29:58SPEAKER_05: I feel like I feel like Paul Barmankov.
- 30:00SPEAKER_05: I need a lollipop on the floor.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: You do.
- 30:03SPEAKER_05: Okay, go.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Taylor Swift surprise does a surprise SNL appearance.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: Okay, with Dakota Johnson.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: And the only reason I'm bringing this up, this seems so silly for me, is that over the weekend, so I was like hanging out with my friend Mayma.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: We went to um like this little play place.
- 30:23SPEAKER_03: I love Mayma.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: She's the best literally the best.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: Like, if she ever got on social media, she would be the most followed person.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: Like, she'd be, you know, those cool people that just like don't aren't on social media like that.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Um, she described Taylor Swift to me in a way, and she's just like, she's turned.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: Does she like Taylor Swift?
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she likes Taylor Swift, but she explained her to me in a way of like she's very turn.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Like, and I didn't understand it and I didn't get it until I saw a video of her this weekend and it said millennial cringe moments from Taylor Swift, and it compiled all of her millennial cringe moments.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: I watched that, fell in love with her dumb.
- 30:58SPEAKER_05: Was the video on there where she's like they told me I dated too many people, so I released an album called Red.
- 31:07SPEAKER_05: Then they said we're gonna ruin her public reputation.
- 31:13SPEAKER_05: So I released an album called Reputation.
- 31:17SPEAKER_05: Then they said, Okay, she releases too many pop songs.
- 31:23SPEAKER_05: So I went into hiding and created a folklore.
- 31:26SPEAKER_05: Have you seen that?
- 31:27SPEAKER_05: No way.
- 31:28SPEAKER_05: Send it to me.
- 31:29SPEAKER_05: That is a real clip, but I made up my own words.
- 31:31SPEAKER_05: Like those are not the words she used, but like it is that video sense chills down my spine.
- 31:36SPEAKER_05: I'm like, oui, oui, oui, oui, oui, oui.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: But there is something about her, because like the thing is is like I love everyone who is a blueprint of a personality.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Like Timothy Earl.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: Like, there's like if you see.
- 31:46SPEAKER_05: Timothy Earl is her neighbor who like shows up at her parties and takes her pizza.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Which I love him.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: It's like anyone with an original personality, I love them so much because so she has the original, like, quirky thing, quirky personality, which is like, oh, like she like is in a music studio.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: The video I saw, and she like she's like, I love songs, I love creating songs.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: It's just like was like slamming down her stuff and like was being like so silly.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: You know, I know it sounds ooey, but then it's the Legion.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: But it's the it's the her.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying, is like I want you guys to be yourselves.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: And if you are cringe and you are whatever, like that's just how it is.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: But me and Dom can spot a copied personality from a mile away.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: So the problem with Taylor Swift's fan base is a lot, the portion of Swifties that do not like they don't have a naturally quirky persona, but they take it on to think like, oh, I'm a small girl kind of a word.
- 32:39SPEAKER_05: She needed it from small girl, big boy, yes, small girl.
- 32:42SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 32:44SPEAKER_05: But also, I also want to say too, I like Taylor Swift.
- 32:46SPEAKER_05: Like everything I'm saying right now, I I've I like her.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: So exactly.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: So I just like a blueprint of a personality.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: So anyway, so she was on SNL, she did like a surprise appearance, turnstile performed, um Dakota Johnson, Dakota Johnson, also with turnstile, like there is something called hardcore, it's like a type of music, like and they were the first like hardcore band on in like 45 years.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: And people in the comments, they were like, they're not even hardcore, bro.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: Like they're like in the comments, and like I was fighting people in the comments, and then there was one that said, like, did you see that screenshot?
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't want to bring back to your membranes, but there's a screenshot of like they're just fighting back and forth, so it's just like I don't like the music snobs, the everything.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: It was a screenshot of like it said, This is not even hard style, hardcore bro, and then he replied back and was like, You you dork.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: No, no, the lead singer singer doesn't care, he just does his thing.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: But they said, like, you effing dork, like it is hard style, like they were just like really fighting back and forth.
- 33:50SPEAKER_05: So no, also, like, we just wanna they are.
- 33:53SPEAKER_05: It's just like they like they have range, they have range, they have range, exactly.
- 33:57SPEAKER_05: Um, Gypsy Rose Blanchard's boyfriend, Ken Erker, dies suddenly at 34.
- 34:02SPEAKER_05: Oh, the father of Gypsy Rose's daughter was found dead in his Louisiana home on his 34th birthday as authorities investigate a suspected drug-related death, and Gypsy speaks out about the intense online harassment that he faced.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: That is sad.
- 34:15SPEAKER_05: It is the the overall concept of Gypsy Rose is just crazy.
- 34:19SPEAKER_05: Like, she's famous for killing her mom.
- 34:21SPEAKER_05: Like, at the end of the day, like that is wild.
- 34:24SPEAKER_05: And like I was introduced to her through Joey King.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, oh my gosh, can I have some joker?
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, please, mom, can I have some joker?
- 34:32SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like the whole like uh Joey King has a punchable face, like thing.
- 34:35SPEAKER_05: Oh, I think it's a good one.
- 34:36SPEAKER_05: I'm pretty sure it stems from the Gypsy Rose.
- 34:39SPEAKER_05: Like that's like that's how I found her.
- 34:42SPEAKER_05: Um it is just it because then everyone, of course, is like, oh my god, like this is how it's crazy how false information can be spread because now there's like this voicemail that Gypsy Rose like screaming on a voice, but it's like not even confirmed that it was like sent to him.
- 34:56SPEAKER_05: Also, there was a voicemail which she sent him that day wishing him happy birthday.
- 34:59SPEAKER_05: But they did the fact is like they did silently split right before he passed.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 35:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and I'm like, I'm like, girl, don't be around anybody who's who's who's gonna be dying.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Like people are just gonna bring back up your yeah, exactly.
- 35:16SPEAKER_05: But she's also somebody who's turned, like she's very, very turn.
- 35:19SPEAKER_05: Like one of my favorite videos have is like her like on the night out where she has like her dress in her wig.
- 35:24SPEAKER_05: Have you seen that?
- 35:24SPEAKER_05: No, I haven't.
- 35:25SPEAKER_05: Look up, like not right now, but at some point, I'm not gonna make you watch a video in front of me, like and give you stage fray with a top hat.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: No, literally.
- 35:31SPEAKER_05: But look up Gypsy Rose in Wig Night Out.
- 35:33SPEAKER_05: It is just like like I'm up, like it's so good.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: No, I'm excited to see.
- 35:36SPEAKER_05: But um, it is very sad that he passed.
- 35:39SPEAKER_05: It is.
- 35:39SPEAKER_05: They she believe she gypsy rose said that he she believes that he overdosed, but I don't think I don't know if it was like confirmed.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:47SPEAKER_05: But there was drug paraphernalia, which I don't love the word paraphernalia.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna add it to your list?
- 35:52SPEAKER_05: No, because it's not that it doesn't make me feel like the words that I hate.
- 35:55SPEAKER_05: I just think why do we need all these syllables?
- 35:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like there was drug stuff, yeah.
- 36:00SPEAKER_05: Like paraphernalia.
- 36:01SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 36:02SPEAKER_05: Um and and a gun nearby, apparently.
- 36:05SPEAKER_05: A gun?
- 36:06SPEAKER_05: A gun is what I read.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Pending more information.
- 36:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, pending more information.
- 36:11SPEAKER_05: That's what page six said.
- 36:12SPEAKER_05: I love it.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, I'm very sad he died.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: No, it's sad.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: It's the father of a child.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, exactly.
- 36:18SPEAKER_05: And they met while she was incarcerated.
- 36:19SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 36:20SPEAKER_05: That's kind of turn.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: Is he an ex like on and off fiance.
- 36:24SPEAKER_05: Okay, on and off fiance.
- 36:25SPEAKER_05: On and off fiance.
- 36:26SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: So and then I think her ex fiance, the one that really got famous, uh, Ryan, the one that said something.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he came out.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: He loves the spotlight because, like, as soon as this happened, he like hopped on a podcast.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: He's like, and this is what I think happened.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: Like, I think this was like her prison pin pal.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like was with her through everything.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: They she got out of the slammer, and then um they broke up.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: And also I think people feel bad for Ryan.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: He goes on live all the time, I think.
- 36:50SPEAKER_05: Is Ryan the other guy?
- 36:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 36:52SPEAKER_05: There also somebody I think related to him, like, came out and said Gypsy Rose is lying about cause of death, or like I don't know.
- 36:58SPEAKER_05: Something.
- 36:58SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 36:58SPEAKER_05: They all got like their own like something.
- 37:01SPEAKER_05: Remember, like, were you ever in high school and you looked at people that you weren't friends with and you were like, I wonder what their drama's like.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: And this is yeah.
- 37:08SPEAKER_05: That's how I feel about like this.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 37:11SPEAKER_05: I wonder what you guys argue about.
- 37:13SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, is this exactly.
- 37:15SPEAKER_05: This is so funny.
- 37:17SPEAKER_05: Okay, well, anyway, I'm very it's very sad that he passed.
- 37:20SPEAKER_05: Generally.
- 37:21SPEAKER_05: And I hope that exactly their child's okay.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: No, me too.
- 37:25SPEAKER_05: But anyway, okay, your last one.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Okay, the next is Complex Con happened over the past weekend.
- 37:32SPEAKER_05: I cannot believe you're bringing out Complex Con right now.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: Do you know much about complex companies?
- 37:35SPEAKER_05: I have such an inside joke that I can't I can't even be it's pointless for me to say right now.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:40SPEAKER_05: But all I want to say is if you're listening, you know.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, amazing.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: I'll tell you afterwards.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, Chet Hanks and Eric Andre got into a screaming match at ComplexCon.
- 37:53SPEAKER_05: Okay, two people.
- 37:54SPEAKER_05: Who are these people?
- 37:54SPEAKER_05: Okay, Chet Hanks.
- 37:55SPEAKER_05: I think I know who these people are.
- 37:56SPEAKER_05: Hold on.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Chet Hanks is the son of Tom Hanks.
- 38:00SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: And he recently, like, people started associating him to his father because he was in running point on Netflix.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: He was like one of the basketball players.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: He did a great job.
- 38:10SPEAKER_05: I see both of these people.
- 38:11SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: And then Eric Andre is a comedian and he has a podcast.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know the.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: So I think their beef started um, I think like 2023, like just a couple years ago, because Eric Andre um had Chet Hanks on to his podcast, something of that nature.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: And that went viral, okay?
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: And it came out after the fact that Chet Hanks like was just really rowdy on set, things weren't great at all.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: Like, you know what I mean?
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: He was just like Eric Andre was just like, okay, you were like the worst guest ever.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: And Chet Hanks was just like, you're just mad that I'm like outshining you.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: So they've had this kind of beef, and then they ran into each other and had this scream of.
- 38:51SPEAKER_05: But I'm having a C list off.
- 38:52SPEAKER_05: No, relax.
- 38:54SPEAKER_05: Literally.
- 38:55SPEAKER_05: I'm like, it's all right.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: No, they wanted to make headlines.
- 38:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: So anyway, I just like I don't know why.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: I never knew what Complex Con was.
- 39:03SPEAKER_05: And so this past weekend, I like street work, which I did not know.
- 39:06SPEAKER_05: Convention.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: A little convention.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: And I think some of the worst bits I've ever seen.
- 39:10SPEAKER_05: Some of the worst bits I've ever seen.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: There's some elements of fashion.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: I love fashion, but there's some things that I truly don't get.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: They're like, oh, you don't get this outfit.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: And I was like, maybe because it's bad.
- 39:21SPEAKER_05: I hope that they I hope that they work it out.
- 39:24SPEAKER_05: I couldn't care less if they swashed their beef, so.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: They just need to make headlines.
- 39:28SPEAKER_05: And they did.
- 39:29SPEAKER_05: And they're exactly all right.
- 39:31SPEAKER_05: Let's get into our ICUs.
- 39:32SPEAKER_05: Our ICUs are just things that we love.
- 39:36SPEAKER_05: Like okay, something that has happened multiple times on this podcast, which luckily there was a story in between.
- 39:42SPEAKER_05: We have a story about somebody passing or like abuse or something.
- 39:46SPEAKER_05: And then we get into the ICU, and I'm like, it's something we beat to death.
- 39:49SPEAKER_05: And I feel like the weight of that.
- 39:51SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, I it's just like tough, but that is where it comes from.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:54SPEAKER_05: Like it's in the ICU.
- 39:56SPEAKER_05: It like again, just to give backstory.
- 39:58SPEAKER_05: Like, I remember like I kept listening to Never Be the Same by Camille Cabello.
- 40:01SPEAKER_05: And Trevor was like, oh my god, you beat this so you beat this to death.
- 40:04SPEAKER_05: Like it's in the ICU.
- 40:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 40:06SPEAKER_05: And then I made a playlist called the ICU of songs that I beat to death.
- 40:08SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 40:09SPEAKER_05: And it only had one song on it.
- 40:10SPEAKER_05: It was Never Be the Same by Camille Cabello.
- 40:12SPEAKER_05: So that's where it comes from, everyone.
- 40:14SPEAKER_05: So just to clarify.
- 40:15SPEAKER_05: Okay, so our ICU.
- 40:16SPEAKER_05: It's something we beat to death, something we love.
- 40:18SPEAKER_05: It's just like this is our thing.
- 40:19SPEAKER_05: It could be the past, present, or future, just something that we love.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 40:22SPEAKER_05: Um, I'll go first.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:24SPEAKER_05: So Instagram stories have a setting now with filters that are some of the best filters I've ever seen.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 40:32SPEAKER_05: Okay, this is how you do it.
- 40:33SPEAKER_05: The one I've been using, it's called Night Flash.
- 40:35SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 40:36SPEAKER_05: It's through Meta.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:38SPEAKER_05: So when you go on your stories, okay, put the photo on there that you want.
- 40:43SPEAKER_05: There's a little thing, not the swipe filters.
- 40:46SPEAKER_05: Leave it on.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: So is it an AI filter?
- 40:48SPEAKER_05: Is it AI?
- 40:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 40:51SPEAKER_05: If it's AI, just like let me talk about my filter.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, I was just wondering.
- 40:56SPEAKER_05: I don't know if it's AI.
- 40:56SPEAKER_05: If it's AI, like I'm not trying to take up all the water so I can have a night flash photo.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:00SPEAKER_05: Um, if it is, don't use it.
- 41:03SPEAKER_05: But yes.
- 41:03SPEAKER_05: Um, I just like clicked it.
- 41:04SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 41:05SPEAKER_05: But there's like the three little like diamonds.
- 41:09SPEAKER_05: Uh-huh.
- 41:09SPEAKER_05: There's like a little thing.
- 41:10SPEAKER_05: You click it, and then all these other filters come up.
- 41:13SPEAKER_05: There's all these filters.
- 41:15SPEAKER_05: And there's one called night flash that literally takes your photo and makes it look like like an actual, like a real.
- 41:23SPEAKER_05: There are photos of me that literally taken in the daytime outside of Erwan.
- 41:27SPEAKER_05: In the daytime, I put the edit, it literally looks like I had a nighttime flash photo shoot.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: Are you serious?
- 41:32SPEAKER_05: Yes, but there's like all these filters.
- 41:33SPEAKER_05: Like, if you want actual, like sometimes if I have a photo that's bad and I want to, sometimes I'll just what I'll do, but I want to post, I'll throw a film edit on it, which I hate fake film edits.
- 41:42SPEAKER_05: Like, if you're gonna post a film photo, let it be true.
- 41:44SPEAKER_05: Let's like use this wisely, like, don't overuse this.
- 41:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but sometimes when I have a bad photo and I'm like, but I really want to post with this person, or like I really want to post this memory.
- 41:54SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 41:54SPEAKER_05: I always want to add like a film edit.
- 41:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 41:57SPEAKER_05: And I just never could really find a good one.
- 41:59SPEAKER_05: These ones eat.
- 42:00SPEAKER_05: Really?
- 42:00SPEAKER_05: Sometimes they alter your face a little bit.
- 42:02SPEAKER_05: So like just be careful.
- 42:03SPEAKER_05: Like sometimes it doesn't work.
- 42:04SPEAKER_05: But there are some incredible filters on there, but they're like hidden.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: Wait, I actually I have never seen that before.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:10SPEAKER_05: But so yeah, so how you gotta.
- 42:12SPEAKER_05: I might try a filter.
- 42:12SPEAKER_05: Photo on your story, don't post it yet.
- 42:14SPEAKER_05: There's three little dots, three little things, click, and then they just show up.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: Wait, I love that.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna try that after this.
- 42:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so that's my ICU.
- 42:22SPEAKER_05: I love those.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, you always like you're so good at like lighting, like you're good at like editing photos for others.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Like any photos I've had over the years, I've just sent them to you.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: If I look at a little BOPT, I'm just like, it needs a little tune-up.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a little tune.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: A little tune.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: My ICU today is the show on Netflix, A Different World.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, I've never heard of this.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: No, I'm excited to tell you then.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: So this show is a reboot from the original um A Different World from 1987.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:53SPEAKER_05: Never heard of that either.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: And so it is just one of the greatest shows ever.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: And I'm in the middle, I'm I just started it.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: J.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: Monique um put me on.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: Like, we well, we were just talking through J.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: Monique.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: Um, we were just talking through all of it.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: So the original show that I watched is The Cosby Show and Um A Different World 1980 87 is a spin-off of the Cosby show.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: Do you know the Cosby show?
- 43:16SPEAKER_05: Of course.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: Um and so from the spin-off, um, it's following like Lisa Bonet's character.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: She goes to college, she goes to an HBCU college.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: Um and she only stays on for one season and then she returns back to the Cosby show.
- 43:35SPEAKER_05: So for the second HBCU stand for Historic Black College.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: Um, yes, it does.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: Because we went to Huston.
- 43:46SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and our No, that just clicked in my brain.
- 43:49SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 43:49SPEAKER_05: Because I know that it it is a historic black college.
- 43:52SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 43:53SPEAKER_05: But just when you said HBCU, it like clicked in my brain.
- 43:55SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 43:56SPEAKER_05: And that's not what it stands for.
- 43:57SPEAKER_05: I'm embarrassed.
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: Well, I'll have to like Yes, it is.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah, there's so many HBCUs, and we went and toured one and did an interview for Yoshi at one last year.
- 44:09SPEAKER_05: Historically black college or university.
- 44:10SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: Isn't that amazing?
- 44:12SPEAKER_05: I I love a good abrevious.
- 44:13SPEAKER_05: I love a good abbreviation.
- 44:14SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's it.
- 44:15SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 44:16SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 44:16SPEAKER_05: But I love a good abbreviation.
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: Um, so this is following um the show.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: And what's crazy about this is that after the first season, like, because people started watching during um, like, because Lisa Bonet went on there from the Cosby show, then she got pregnant with Lenny Kravitz's like, she got pregnant with Lenny Kravitz.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: She left the show.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: And so people were wondering, I was like, they were like, oh, she left the show.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: How is it gonna be great?
- 44:44SPEAKER_05: Like with Lenny Kravitz's child, or Lenny Kravitz was the child.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, sorry, Lenny Kravitz's child.
- 44:50SPEAKER_05: Okay, okay, sorry.
- 44:51SPEAKER_05: You made it sound like she gave birth to Lenny Kravitz.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: No, that's her uh that was her man.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: And so left the show, and then after that, the other characters like had an opportunity to shine, and the show became ten times better in the next couple seasons than it was in season one because they were able to put more emphasis on other characters, yes, on the life at HBCU and talk about racism and talk about um just issues going on, like funding things for HBCUs, like and it was able to bring in like the style and the just everything I love that like iconic.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: And so from there, this show that came out in 2026 a couple weeks ago is about it's a next generation.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: So it's about kids.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: And so there are like three kids on the show that are the kids of um the stars of the first show.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: And most of the characters came back, so they're like, you know, and they're gonna be.
- 45:51SPEAKER_05: So it's not just a complete reboot and it's like a whole new show, but you're calling it Camp Rock 3.
- 45:55SPEAKER_05: Right, right.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: Like it's yeah, exactly.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: And so it just it just caps like it is just the most beautiful show, and they don't have any low-hanging fruit plot lines in it at all.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: And to like there is um, you know, just even just there is a character who's gay, but like it's not like him being black and gay, it's just him just being gay.
- 46:16SPEAKER_00: Right, and then just like the funding issues of the school highlighting like that there's funding issues with HBCUs and the importance of like elevating um black people too.
- 46:27SPEAKER_05: So it's genuinely a good show and it's hitting on important things, exactly.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: It is just amazing, and the fashion.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: I I love this character named Rashida.
- 46:34SPEAKER_00: Like, you need to watch it.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: You would love this show.
- 46:36SPEAKER_05: No, it sounds like a show that I would love.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: It is amazing, but yeah, Huston College is where we went um with Reno Dudley.
- 46:43SPEAKER_05: I know.
- 46:43SPEAKER_05: We'll be the we love him so much.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: That was the best.
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: We need to wait for me.
- 46:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, we're gonna call him.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: Does he live there?
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: He does because he's a professor at the HBCU.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's talk to him.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: But yeah, if you're out there, my ICU is um a different world.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: You don't have to watch the original, but I am going back and watching the original so that I have even more context.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: Come on, come on.
- 47:07SPEAKER_05: We love a context.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 47:09SPEAKER_05: I love that.
- 47:10SPEAKER_05: I genuinely am very interested in that show.
- 47:11SPEAKER_05: It takes a lot for me to watch a scripted show.
- 47:13SPEAKER_05: I really only watch reality.
- 47:15SPEAKER_05: Um okay, we're gonna get into our We Need to Talks, which is our advice segment.
- 47:19SPEAKER_05: You can submit it on our Instagram.
- 47:21SPEAKER_05: We always post like the link, or you can just DM us if you don't care about not being anonymous or whatever.
- 47:26SPEAKER_05: Um, we have three today.
- 47:27SPEAKER_05: Our first one is this I hate my job and want to leave, but I'm scared.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: We can both talk about that one.
- 47:33SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 47:34SPEAKER_05: If you hate your job, um leave.
- 47:37SPEAKER_05: But also, like, I will say this like every situation is different.
- 47:42SPEAKER_05: And because of the setup that I have specifically this year, I was able to leave the job that which also I did not hate my job, but I was able to leave my job without finding a new job, and I am now five months into trying to be only freelance.
- 47:58SPEAKER_05: Yes, and it's actually and it's working, which has been nice.
- 48:02SPEAKER_05: Um, not like yeah, it's like it's working.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: Um but um and you are incredibly resourceful.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: You always like if you need money for something, you can have a project, like you're doing so many things right now for income to come in.
- 48:16SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 48:16SPEAKER_05: And it's definitely it's inconsistent and not as reliable, and that's the thing that I'm trying to like get used to.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: It's like you couldn't afford a Lani today, but this afternoon you'll pick up a check.
- 48:27SPEAKER_05: I couldn't afford a Lani today, but tomorrow I could probably book a trip to Europe.
- 48:30SPEAKER_05: Like exactly.
- 48:30SPEAKER_05: Like it's very like, you know, whatever.
- 48:32SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 48:32SPEAKER_05: Um, and also there's been times on here where I've wanted my like ICU to be like being unemployed, like being the unemployed friend, or like where I wanted my truth serum to be like just quit your job and be unemployed, it's so fun.
- 48:42SPEAKER_05: But I didn't want it to come off as like unemployed privilege of like, well, I can quit my job and still be fine.
- 48:46SPEAKER_05: And then because a lot of people that they're like, you can't, so I've tried to tread lightly like on the subject, but like the fact of the matter is I have loved not having a nine to five.
- 48:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I have loved it.
- 48:57SPEAKER_05: Um, and like the way that my housing situation is right now, and like my bill, the way that my life is set up right now is I have the freedom to not have a nine to five.
- 49:05SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 49:05SPEAKER_05: That may not last.
- 49:06SPEAKER_05: There is a world where in like there's not a world actually, it's set up now pretty well.
- 49:12SPEAKER_05: There's I mean, there's a world possibly where like when March or April comes around that I may have to get like a nine to five.
- 49:17SPEAKER_05: Like, like I have my I have my life.
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: You're being sweet right now, like you're just being like whatever.
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: But I will say that you this is what I I sing your praises all the time because you have set up your life in a way of like you have worked so hard for years, you have a client base, you like you have literally you do website stuff, you do social media stuff, like you do so much that like you cannot have a nine to five, like in it's just structured that way.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: And so it's just like find things that you're good at that make money, yeah, and things like that.
- 49:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and yeah, try to just get your income up, see like what you can do.
- 49:47SPEAKER_05: And again, I don't know who I literally don't know who submitted this, and also thank you for saying that.
- 49:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah, um, but the truth of the matter is like I always love to have a plan B to fall back on, and like there is a world right now where it's like my life is planned out right now to like March financially, but there's a world in April where it's like if you see me like you know bartending at the Boston title, like like don't be shocked.
- 50:03SPEAKER_05: It's like give me the tip, but I'm also down for that.
- 50:06SPEAKER_05: So also just like don't minimize just like a job that like maybe isn't like your passion.
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: That is exactly yeah.
- 50:12SPEAKER_05: Like I'm at a point right now where it's like if I like when I say that, like you know, like serving or bartending at like a place like Boston Title and Abstract and Tolls or something, like is that like my career path that I would choose right now for myself that I've been interested in?
- 50:24SPEAKER_05: Like, because of course I want to do music, I want to do acting, I want like I want there's stuff I would love to do.
- 50:29SPEAKER_05: But don't mental minds just a job that's like pays you and is fun and is cool, and like you can just have fun co-workers, like exactly not everything has to be like a career.
- 50:37SPEAKER_05: Like I have friends right now that are like you know, talking about transitioning out of like certain things and they're looking for jobs that like are their passion.
- 50:44SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, I get that, but like sometimes you just have to get a job that you're that you're that you don't dread getting out of bed for exactly until you find the thing that is your career.
- 50:51SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 50:51SPEAKER_05: So just don't put so much pressure on finding the next thing.
- 50:54SPEAKER_05: Like your next thing could be your thing for the next six months, it doesn't have to be your thing for the next 10 years.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: And that's the thing about um like when I quit my job and I transitioned, like when I quit, I became a nanny for six or seven months, loved it so much, didn't want to leave it until I found my house management job where it was set up, where it's like I'm on payroll and I have a 401k match and I have all of this stuff.
- 51:18SPEAKER_00: And like, did I expect to go from like one nonprofit to another?
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: I was just like, okay, well, I left it, but like maybe I was still applying.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: But I love my job so much, and it was because I did that transition from like just being a nanny, and then now I'm like managing a house for someone.
- 51:36SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 51:36SPEAKER_00: So it's just like you never know.
- 51:38SPEAKER_05: And your setup right now is perfect.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: Yes, and I just I love it so much.
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: So yeah, find another job that's just fun, and it's such every time I travel, I talk to people about work, and they say it's just such an American thing to be like, my life has to be work, like everything has to be a passion.
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: This, this, this.
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: It's like sometimes you just need things to pay the bills, and like if you get a job to fund your passions, yes, exactly.
- 52:00SPEAKER_00: It would be amazing if you can transition to something that can do both, but it might not always happen.
- 52:04SPEAKER_00: Right, that's right.
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: And you know, I'm not trying to kill it, but yeah, and that's adjust your expectations, and that's the bottom line.
- 52:10SPEAKER_05: Like, we don't know what your job is, we don't know what your situation is, but you shouldn't hate your job one, so you shouldn't stay at that job forever.
- 52:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it can be boring, but don't put so much pressure onto you shouldn't hate your job.
- 52:22SPEAKER_05: Yes, um, don't put so much pressure on your next thing.
- 52:24SPEAKER_05: Yes, okay, next.
- 52:26SPEAKER_05: Um, I think someone in my life is mad at me, but they won't address it, and I don't know what I did wrong, and they won't tell me.
- 52:31SPEAKER_05: This is like my biggest thing.
- 52:32SPEAKER_05: Like, I actually am dealing with this with somebody in my life right now.
- 52:36SPEAKER_05: At a certain point, if you're unable to have a conversation, like you're not somebody that I need to invest in in my life at all.
- 52:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like at some point, I think when you turn like 24, like that's where I break it.
- 52:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 52:48SPEAKER_05: Like like it should happen before then.
- 52:50SPEAKER_05: But when you're turned 24, if you're mad, say it or start acting normal or literally just never be around me again.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 52:58SPEAKER_05: Like, sorry, grow up.
- 53:00SPEAKER_00: It's something too, is like, especially when you ask someone like, hey, are you upset at me?
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: Are you mad at me?
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: Whatever, if you're just ignoring it and not opening the door for someone else to speak, like that's one thing.
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: So if that's part of this advice of like, if you have not opened up the door to be like, hey, what's going on?
- 53:14SPEAKER_00: Then you need to do that first.
- 53:16SPEAKER_00: But if they keep saying like nothing, nothing, nothing, and they're changing the like their thoughts, you can be like, Hey, this is one thing.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: It's like I know that you're visibly upset.
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: I I know something's going on.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: You're not telling me, I'm feeling crazy.
- 53:27SPEAKER_00: Like, if you're not gonna tell me, then we need to have some space.
- 53:30SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like there's somebody in my life right now that when I'm walking down the hallway, they see me, they literally turn around.
- 53:34SPEAKER_05: Insane.
- 53:34SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, I have no, and actually I I know deep down that it's actually nothing.
- 53:40SPEAKER_05: They're just like they think maybe I'm mad at them, or they just feel awkward because I haven't like, and I'm just like, I'm sorry, at some point, it's like you gotta be able to have a conversation.
- 53:47SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 53:48SPEAKER_05: And if you can't, then like, sorry, start acting normal or get away from me.
- 53:51SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 53:51SPEAKER_05: Anyway, last one.
- 53:54SPEAKER_05: My boyfriend's best friend hates me and has tried to get him to break up with me.
- 53:59SPEAKER_05: My boyfriend says, I need to learn to coexist.
- 54:02SPEAKER_05: Is it wrong of me to want him to cut him off because my boyfriend needs to stand up for me and choose me?
- 54:07SPEAKER_05: Um, I am guy who tells their friend when they're in a bad relationship.
- 54:11SPEAKER_05: Like I am guy who like says, I don't like your boyfriend.
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: Or like your girlfriend.
- 54:16SPEAKER_00: Or this relationship.
- 54:17SPEAKER_05: And I am guy who says, I don't like your girlfriend.
- 54:19SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 54:20SPEAKER_05: Like I like if I think a relationship is bad, it's so I'm so protective of my friends that I just like can't sit around.
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: But do you voice it though, and then if they choose to do nothing, you're not going to make a problem.
- 54:33SPEAKER_05: No, I am the type where I'm like, you don't have to take this information, but I am a bad friend if I don't say this.
- 54:38SPEAKER_00: But you address it and you say it, and then you coexist with him, though.
- 54:41SPEAKER_00: He's not coexisting.
- 54:42SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 54:46SPEAKER_00: Like that's the issue here, is like he should be able to say his piece, whatever, go on, and then like.
- 54:53SPEAKER_05: I just I don't know who submitted this.
- 54:54SPEAKER_05: Why is your response not let me fix it with my boyfriend's best friend?
- 54:59SPEAKER_05: Your goal here should be for your boyfriend to stay with you and also you fix it with the best friend so that your boyfriend doesn't have to lose the best friend.
- 55:07SPEAKER_00: Sorry, my but on my side of it, it's just like okay, with the boyfriend, if he is just being like, oh, I don't know, like kind of putting his hands back, like why is he not standing up in that moment and being like, okay, well, let me talk to my guy best friend and figure out why?
- 55:22SPEAKER_00: Let me have those conversations, let me mend it.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: The ball is in his passive.
- 55:27SPEAKER_05: Because I'm only saying this because I've been in situations where I'm like the best friend who's super vocal, and my friend is like in this relationship, and he's like kind of like the golden retriever who doesn't want to rock the boat, like unfortunately, the friend and the girlfriend are putting him in a bad in a weird position.
- 55:47SPEAKER_05: And to me, if this girl is passionate and straightforward enough to say you should cut this person off to defend me, you are bold enough to have a conversation with the best friend.
- 55:58SPEAKER_00: Yes, but in this situation, she's coming to us for advice though, on that.
- 56:03SPEAKER_00: So it's just like she's wanting to make it better.
- 56:06SPEAKER_05: Then my advice is this.
- 56:07SPEAKER_05: Sorry, she's wanting to make it better.
- 56:09SPEAKER_05: Sorry, in my mind, these are like fictional characters, but this is somebody who submitted it.
- 56:13SPEAKER_05: You should pursue a conversation with the best friend, yes, and be like, hey, my boyfriend has told me that you don't think we should be together.
- 56:21SPEAKER_05: Is there a world where we can fix this and and we can have the best of both worlds where it's like your best friend gets to be in a relationship he wants to be in, and also like keep his best friend because you mean a lot to him.
- 56:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just putting a lot on the submitter, but I understand I definitely do think there needs to be a lot of people.
- 56:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like my thing is like the boyfriend needs to stand up.
- 56:43SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm just like, I'm not like, oh, I'm mad.
- 56:46SPEAKER_05: The boyfriend needs to stand up and needs to actually initiate this conversation.
- 56:49SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 56:49SPEAKER_05: Because you can't be powerful.
- 56:50SPEAKER_05: Actually, you know what?
- 56:51SPEAKER_05: Fine there.
- 56:51SPEAKER_05: Fine.
- 56:52SPEAKER_05: Say to your boyfriend, hey, can you pursue a conversation between us so that we don't have to have this anymore?
- 56:57SPEAKER_05: I'm feeling like you don't stand up for me because you shouldn't be getting told to break up with me and then you not defend me.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 57:03SPEAKER_05: And I just also I want you to be able to keep your best friend.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 57:06SPEAKER_05: Boom.
- 57:07SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: Because at the end of the day, the the man may be in love with the boyfriend.
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: Like he may, it might be that situation.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: That might be one very possible thing.
- 57:16SPEAKER_00: Or it might be a misunderstanding of like the boyfriend's so passive that he's like, she's he's like, Mary Ellen doesn't like me, whatever.
- 57:22SPEAKER_00: Like, I think you should break up.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I'm fictional name.
- 57:24SPEAKER_00: I'm just making a photo.
- 57:25SPEAKER_05: No, yeah, because we don't know anyone named Mary Ellen, so that's good.
- 57:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, anyway.
- 57:28SPEAKER_00: So it's just like Mary Ellen doesn't like me, and the boyfriend's like, oh, I don't know.
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know.
- 57:32SPEAKER_00: He like, yeah, he's just not doing anything to make it better.
- 57:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I agree.
- 57:38SPEAKER_05: Kind of an incredible episode.
- 57:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'd say.
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:42SPEAKER_05: Yo, I protected my piece this Thursday morning.
- 57:44SPEAKER_05: I didn't read I and there's no way for me to read a text that upset me.
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we were ready freshly changed diaper.
- 57:50SPEAKER_05: We protected our piece, freshly changed diaper, wiped.
- 57:52SPEAKER_00: Feeling good.
- 57:53SPEAKER_05: So that's our episode today.
- 57:55SPEAKER_05: Next week we'll be able to talk about Austin City Limits because we're going today to music festival in Austin.
- 57:59SPEAKER_05: We're super excited.
- 58:00SPEAKER_00: We love a road trip.
- 58:01SPEAKER_00: Like, we are good road trips.
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, I hate road trips.
- 58:03SPEAKER_05: So I don't I don't know.
- 58:04SPEAKER_05: You better watch those Wii's.
- 58:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I hate road trips completely.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: But not okay, I was gonna say, not with me.
- 58:09SPEAKER_00: Like, we have fun.
- 58:10SPEAKER_05: We've never This is true.
- 58:14SPEAKER_05: We did ride, we did do okay.
- 58:16SPEAKER_05: We rode to Austin.
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: We drove to Austin.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: We had the best time, but on the way back it was a little bopped, but like yeah.
- 58:23SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I don't like road trips, so I don't know, just like watch those Wii's period.
- 58:28SPEAKER_05: But this one will be good.
- 58:29SPEAKER_05: I have a good feeling about this one because I have travel fatigue not to have uh travel privilege, but I'm so sick of traveling.
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: I know, but we'll share the drive tonight, so we'll be good.
- 58:38SPEAKER_05: We'll see.
- 58:39SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: That's our episode.
- 58:41SPEAKER_05: Thank you.
- 58:42SPEAKER_00: Like, comment, and subscribe.
