Roof Moss Removal in Oxford: The Roof Moss Cleaners' Local Work · UK Business Voices

The Roof Moss Cleaners removes roof moss in Oxford, where its work has included two homes in Headington. This is UK Business Voices. Oxfordshire is one of the two counties where the business does most of its work, alongside Buckinghamshire, where it is based. From High Wycombe, Gareth Webb and Anthony Holt travel into Oxford for residential roof cleaning. The job is the same nine-step process wherever they work. A risk assessment, protecting the area around the house, setting up access, blocking the downpipes, scraping the moss by hand from the ridge down, blowing off the debris, clearing the gutters, tidying at ground level, and finally a biocide treatment, which carries a three-year moss-free guarantee. How long a roof stays clean depends on the house. The business explains that moss grows back first on north-facing slopes, that trees close to a roof keep the tiles damp for longer after rain, and that a TV aerial gives birds a perch, and their droppings feed the moss. Some roofs they cleaned seven years ago are still moss-free, and some customers book a maintenance treatment every three to five years. A typical house takes one day. The Roof Moss Cleaners is a roof cleaning company based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, run by Gareth Webb and Anthony Holt, who have cleaned roofs under the name since 2013, serving Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties.
