- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Here comes the Mark Simone Show on seven ten wr.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well, hey, we'll get to Iran, we'll get to Georgia,
- 0:14Speaker 1: we'll get to President Trump. Of course, we'll get to
- 0:16Speaker 1: Crazy Mom, Donnie Legioneers, and a whole lot more coming up. Now.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's been well, a weird summer. I mean, here we
- 0:27Speaker 1: were waiting for summer. It's been a nice we love summer,
- 0:30Speaker 1: but heat waves, tornadoes, floods, it's been kind of strange.
- 0:35Speaker 1: But right now, today through Sunday, you're going to have
- 0:39Speaker 1: absolutely perfect summer. Four days of perfect weather, eighty degrees
- 0:45Speaker 1: and sunny. It's already underway. So enjoy this part of summer.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Now.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I hate to bring this up again. Yesterday I told
- 0:52Speaker 1: you I was in a couple of stores. There's all
- 0:55Speaker 1: the fall clothing of I find out today the Giants
- 1:00Speaker 1: go to training camp football. The Giants heading the training
- 1:05Speaker 1: camp today. So enjoy the summer while you can. Now,
- 1:10Speaker 1: last night was night twelve of hitting Iran, very very
- 1:15Speaker 1: very hard. Price of oil is spiking again. Let me
- 1:20Speaker 1: just check. It was up to about one hundred dollars
- 1:22Speaker 1: a barrel, which is you're getting into Joe Biden territory there. Oh,
- 1:28Speaker 1: it backed off a little. Okay, it's dropping, it's down
- 1:30Speaker 1: to ninety one, but that's still up from what it
- 1:33Speaker 1: was yesterday. And the reason it's spiking up is the Iranians,
- 1:37Speaker 1: the hoodies, whoever they're paying, is now hitting ships in
- 1:41Speaker 1: the Red Sea Straight of hor Moose first, now the
- 1:45Speaker 1: Red Sea. So that's driven the price of oiler. But
- 1:47Speaker 1: this will all be gotten under control, and the President
- 1:49Speaker 1: letting Iran know every time they fire at a ship
- 1:53Speaker 1: in the straight of horm Moose will take out infrastructure,
- 1:55Speaker 1: We'll take out a bridge, we'll take out a power plant,
- 1:58Speaker 1: that sort of stuff. And again night twelve of very
- 2:02Speaker 1: heavy bombing. They've got about a seven week plan laid
- 2:05Speaker 1: out of what they want to hit. There's a lot
- 2:07Speaker 1: of stuff to get. The main goal of all of
- 2:09Speaker 1: this was to make sure Iran doesn't have any nuclear anything,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and whatever's remaining seems to be at Pickaxe Mountain, buried
- 2:21Speaker 1: under there in Pickaxe Mountain, that seems to be the
- 2:23Speaker 1: current place where nuclear stuff is being hidden being worked one.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So the President said, we're going to hit pick Axe Mountain.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It's the next big target.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Do you believe that Iran has moved nuclear centrifuges into
- 2:37Speaker 4: Pickaxe Mountain. And when you say we're not done yet,
- 2:40Speaker 4: what is allowed to finish? Well, I think that they
- 2:44Speaker 4: may have we don't have it on record. We follow
- 2:46Speaker 4: the material. That's where the action is, and we'll be
- 2:50Speaker 4: hitting that area very probably pretty soon, and there's not
- 2:54Speaker 4: a thing they can do about it.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yeh.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Normally I wouldn't say that. If I thought they could
- 2:58Speaker 4: do something about it, I would never say that. But
- 3:01Speaker 4: we'll be hitting that area pretty soon and very heavily.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Now when he says there's nothing going to do
- 3:08Speaker 1: about it, we have taken away all their military defense.
- 3:11Speaker 1: They've got no air Force, no navy. Most of their
- 3:14Speaker 1: military defense is completely gone. They still got a MISSILLT
- 3:16Speaker 1: or two they can fire off. But what's the delay?
- 3:20Speaker 1: Why not hit Pickaxe Mountain tonight? Well, it's not as
- 3:25Speaker 1: easy as it sounds.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:26Speaker 1: The problem with this Pickaxe Mountain nuclear stuff. We got
- 3:30Speaker 1: pretty good intelligence in that area, but it's three hundred
- 3:33Speaker 1: and twenty eight feet underground. The nuclear activity three one
- 3:37Speaker 1: hundred and twenty eight feet underground. That's how deep it is. Now,
- 3:42Speaker 1: how do we get to that? Well, we got to
- 3:44Speaker 1: use those thirty thousand pounds. Bunker buster bombs just blow
- 3:49Speaker 1: holes and just just barrel through and create a big, big,
- 3:54Speaker 1: deep hole. The problem is the bumper buck the the
- 4:00Speaker 1: these bunker busters that we have are capable of going
- 4:03Speaker 1: down two hundred feet before exploding, so that would be
- 4:08Speaker 1: one hundred and thirty feet too short. They can only
- 4:10Speaker 1: go down two hundred feet. The stuff is about three
- 4:12Speaker 1: hundred and thirty feet down there, So what do you
- 4:15Speaker 1: do well, they're working on that. Some of the talk
- 4:19Speaker 1: is a number of bunker busters you just hit the
- 4:23Speaker 1: whole mountain, so you blow it all the way down
- 4:25Speaker 1: to two hundred feet and then once you've done that,
- 4:28Speaker 1: then another round of bunker busters can go another two
- 4:31Speaker 1: hundred feet and that would take it out. But that's
- 4:32Speaker 1: a little tricky, very very tricky. So they're working on
- 4:37Speaker 1: all of that right now. Now. In the meantime, the
- 4:40Speaker 1: US can take out the bas's entrances, bury the entrances
- 4:44Speaker 1: and exits and make sure they can't get in or out.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So that's one thing they're working on. President went to
- 4:51Speaker 1: Georgia yesterday now for about this is exactly how the
- 4:54Speaker 1: media works. Just go after Trump every day for any anything,
- 5:01Speaker 1: if he turns left, you go after him. If he
- 5:03Speaker 1: turns right, you go after me. So they were going
- 5:06Speaker 1: after him for two three days about these soldiers killed
- 5:09Speaker 1: in the Iranian conflict, and they're yelling and screaming. Why
- 5:15Speaker 1: hasn't he called the families. Why doesn't he talk to
- 5:16Speaker 1: the families. Why doesn't he meet with the families. Why
- 5:19Speaker 1: doesn't he call the this was the attack. Well, he
- 5:22Speaker 1: flew down to Georgia yesterday spent the day with the families,
- 5:26Speaker 1: what they call the dignified transfer. Spent the day with
- 5:29Speaker 1: the families, talking to the meeting with them, taking pictures
- 5:32Speaker 1: with him. So the press immediately saw it all day
- 5:35Speaker 1: to day on MSNBC. Why is he with these families,
- 5:38Speaker 1: Why is he exploiting these families? Why is he using
- 5:40Speaker 1: them for a photo op? Why is he bothering these
- 5:43Speaker 1: families their time of grief? But he was there. It's
- 5:46Speaker 1: the toughest thing at president can do, meet with the
- 5:50Speaker 1: families of men and women killed in war.
- 5:53Speaker 4: All I'm going to say is we love you, We
- 5:55Speaker 4: love your child, And that's what they are to them.
- 5:58Speaker 4: They're their children.
- 6:00Speaker 3: There's no games, no nothing, that's their child.
- 6:04Speaker 4: And all you could do is throw out your heart.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Thank you. Yeah, it's a tough, tough Every president will
- 6:10Speaker 1: tell you the toughest part of the job. A lot
- 6:12Speaker 1: of times it's just a letter you send. But certain
- 6:16Speaker 1: presidents Trump George W. Bush, they had this thing about
- 6:19Speaker 1: actually meeting with the families, and even if they couldn't
- 6:22Speaker 1: meet with them, calling them, talking to them, it was
- 6:25Speaker 1: very important to them. Crazy mom Donnie. A lot of
- 6:30Speaker 1: people pointing out, even with his own base, he's gonna
- 6:35Speaker 1: have a problem. He's gonna become known as just a
- 6:37Speaker 1: TikTok mayor where everything looks great on TikTok but not
- 6:43Speaker 1: in reality. And it's a lot of promises that, you know,
- 6:46Speaker 1: things that never happened. Free buses, there's no free buses.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And open grocery stores, there's no grocery stores. You'll never
- 6:52Speaker 1: see one of these grocery stores. You'll never live to
- 6:54Speaker 1: see a grocery store. Everything he talks about never happens.
- 6:57Speaker 1: So the whole thing with Yahoo just adds to that. It's,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you know everything, Well, he must have known he couldn't
- 7:05Speaker 1: arrest Benjamin Netanyah, who, first of all, a mayor has
- 7:08Speaker 1: no power to arrest anybody. He would have to beg
- 7:12Speaker 1: the police commissioner to do it, Jessica Tish, who's Jewish.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It is not going to arrest Benjamin netan Yahoo. If
- 7:19Speaker 1: you watch Law and Order, that was half the episodes,
- 7:21Speaker 1: the mayor wanting somebody arrested, begging the police commissioner, and
- 7:26Speaker 1: it wouldn't happen even if even if she was willing
- 7:29Speaker 1: to do it. You can't arrest Benjamin net Yahoo. He's
- 7:33Speaker 1: here coming here in September for the UN General Assembly.
- 7:37Speaker 1: The foreign leaders that come to that are under federal protection.
- 7:40Speaker 1: There's actual laws on the book protecting them, and it
- 7:44Speaker 1: would be illegal to arrest them. And remember, federal law
- 7:49Speaker 1: always overrules local law. In fact, under the law, to
- 7:54Speaker 1: even threaten to arrest them is a crime and you
- 7:57Speaker 1: can be convicted of that. So you know, mom, Donnie
- 8:01Speaker 1: has already committed the crime. That's a crime. Trump could
- 8:04Speaker 1: have him arrested if he wanted to, but you know
- 8:07Speaker 1: he won't do that. But the whole thing is preposterous.
- 8:11Speaker 1: He knew this was impossible, I don't. I mean, if
- 8:14Speaker 1: he really was interested in arresting Benjamin not in Yahoo,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I'm sure he would have asked about it. So he
- 8:19Speaker 1: knows it can't happen, but he went out and made
- 8:20Speaker 1: a whole production out of it, a whole theatrical production
- 8:23Speaker 1: of Arresting Net in Yahoo. Then he had to go
- 8:26Speaker 1: on and announce it's not going to happen. He can't
- 8:28Speaker 1: do it. But it's just another one of those things. Again,
- 8:31Speaker 1: he's a TikTok mayor. You see all these great videos
- 8:34Speaker 1: on TikTok, but in real life he can't get anything done.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Nothing he promises happens. Hey, he also promised a billion
- 8:41Speaker 1: dollar community safety program that would replace the NYPD billion
- 8:46Speaker 1: dollar community safety program. Been in office six months now.
- 8:51Speaker 1: There's no program. But well there is a program, but
- 8:54Speaker 1: it only has two staffers. Two people are working on it.
- 8:59Speaker 1: That's about it. So again, the TikTok mayor gets nothing done.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Everything fizzles in real life. The free buses, and I'm
- 9:07Speaker 1: sure he knew this. He has no power to make
- 9:10Speaker 1: the buses free. The buses are totally controlled by the
- 9:14Speaker 1: state by Kathy Hockel. It's the MTA that runs the buses.
- 9:18Speaker 1: They're the only ones that can make it free. And
- 9:20Speaker 1: they're not going to do that. The MTA. They're always
- 9:22Speaker 1: yelling at screaming they need more money. Hey, what about
- 9:25Speaker 1: those tax hikes on the rich? What about the property tax?
- 9:28Speaker 1: What about all the one that's mostly the state. Now
- 9:31Speaker 1: there is word that he's threatening, privately, threatening Kathy Hockel
- 9:35Speaker 1: that she better push to get this done if she
- 9:39Speaker 1: wants his support for reelection, and she feels she'll need
- 9:43Speaker 1: it because she's a a goofball, a disaster and she's
- 9:47Speaker 1: facing a real strong candidate. Bruce Blakeman be the perfect governor.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He is a perfect governor already Nassau county executive. That's
- 9:54Speaker 1: what you do, is a county executive, you're a governor.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And he's been brilliant at it, so he'd be the
- 9:59Speaker 1: perfect govern governor. So she's got a tough time getting
- 10:03Speaker 1: re elected, and she thinks she's going to need the wackos,
- 10:06Speaker 1: the crazy, you know, socialist Democrats, and she's going to
- 10:09Speaker 1: need his endorsement. So he's got a lot of leverage
- 10:13Speaker 1: over her. Right now, Blakeman taking out a new ad.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I like this. Sometimes candidates do this. It's a reverse
- 10:18Speaker 1: ad where you pretend it's the other candidates ad. In
- 10:24Speaker 1: other words, you pretend it's a hocal ad and you
- 10:26Speaker 1: make her sound bad here it is.
- 10:28Speaker 5: We've raised tolls and fares over twenty times because the
- 10:31Speaker 5: best way to fix traffic is to ensure regular people
- 10:34Speaker 5: can't afford to drive or take the subway. And we
- 10:37Speaker 5: ended cash bail so that we would stop punishing people
- 10:39Speaker 5: who commit brutal crimes against our fellow New Yorkers like
- 10:42Speaker 5: this nice young man.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Awesome crack this November.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Don't let Bruce Blakeman lower your taxes or make New
- 10:49Speaker 5: York safe. Keep it unsafe and unaffordable with Kathy Hokeel
- 10:54Speaker 5: as your governor.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what do you think? It's an
- 10:57Speaker 1: effective technique? Sometimes? Yeah, I actually like it. I like it.
- 11:01Speaker 1: So problem is, Hockel has got about forty two million
- 11:04Speaker 1: to spend. She's raised twenty million. The Democrat Party has
- 11:08Speaker 1: about twenty two million to give her. Blakeman has raised
- 11:11Speaker 1: eleven million. It's tough for him because normally, hey, all
- 11:16Speaker 1: the big business guys want Blakeman very badly, but many
- 11:20Speaker 1: of them afraid to donate because they're doing business here
- 11:22Speaker 1: and they don't want Kathy Hockel mad at them. So
- 11:25Speaker 1: it's tough for him. So he needs help. He needs donations.
- 11:28Speaker 1: He can donate go to blakemanfronewyork dot com. Help him
- 11:32Speaker 1: out blakemanfronew york dot com. Now, the big election issue
- 11:38Speaker 1: midterms coming up, big, big, big issue in the election
- 11:42Speaker 1: was affordability. The whole election was affordability. But Democrats have
- 11:47Speaker 1: once again screwed themselves up completely, you know, very often
- 11:52Speaker 1: as bad as the Republicans can get. No matter how
- 11:55Speaker 1: bad the Republicans get, the Democrats have a talent to
- 11:58Speaker 1: always make themselves even worse, to find some way to
- 12:01Speaker 1: be even worse. And they've done it this time by
- 12:04Speaker 1: becoming socialist communist thing. They keep using the word socialists.
- 12:07Speaker 1: It's the same thing as communism. It's just socialists are
- 12:11Speaker 1: usually elected, Communists usually take over through revolution. But it's
- 12:14Speaker 1: the same, exact, same exact thing. So, uh, this movement,
- 12:20Speaker 1: the whole democratic movement, to become communists, that's going to
- 12:24Speaker 1: be the midterm issue. And for that it's easy for
- 12:29Speaker 1: Republicans to win. And that's why President Trump is just
- 12:32Speaker 1: going after the communist stuff. You know, it used to
- 12:35Speaker 1: be if you were a communist and you were in
- 12:37Speaker 1: government and a communist boy you had to hide. McCarthy
- 12:39Speaker 1: would hunt you down and you had to lie and
- 12:42Speaker 1: say you weren't ya Are you a communist?
- 12:45Speaker 4: No?
- 12:45Speaker 1: No, no, Now the campaign is communists, So Trump is
- 12:49Speaker 1: going to use that as the issue with communism.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Everything turns to okay, true, terrible time.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's my wife face it when I do that.
- 13:08Speaker 4: She said you were doing so nicely and then you
- 13:09Speaker 4: had to use a foul ware.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, but again he's the Howard Stern president. Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: why does he have to talk like that? Why does
- 13:16Speaker 1: he have to say that he's a Howard Stern sort
- 13:18Speaker 1: of president.
- 13:19Speaker 4: And you know they want to give everyone everything away.
- 13:22Speaker 4: You want free rent, you want free house, you want
- 13:24Speaker 4: to What they don't say is in a year from
- 13:26Speaker 4: now they'll be absolute squalor, turmoil and death. These people
- 13:31Speaker 4: are crazy, but communism is. In my opinion, communism is
- 13:38Speaker 4: the single greatest threat to our country and its history,
- 13:41Speaker 4: including even World War One and World War two Pearl
- 13:45Speaker 4: Harbor nine to eleven. I think it's the greatest threat
- 13:47Speaker 4: that I've ever seen to our country. These people are
- 13:49Speaker 4: stone called crazy.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah, combats of the Founding Fathers coming back and seeing
- 13:54Speaker 1: Democrats are trying to bring communism to It's crazy. So
- 13:59Speaker 1: it's going to be the issue.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Now.
- 14:01Speaker 1: The real question is you got the elders of the
- 14:04Speaker 1: Democratic Party, the people who you would think really behind
- 14:07Speaker 1: the scenes are running the Democratic Party, the smart, experienced people.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Why are they so frightened? I don't mean the shumers,
- 14:15Speaker 1: are those types Jeffrey's I mean those are just frightened
- 14:19Speaker 1: idiots hiding under their desk. But we're the Clintons, and
- 14:23Speaker 1: I know behind the scenes, the Clintons hate this. They
- 14:26Speaker 1: hate what's going on. The Obamas hate this. All the
- 14:29Speaker 1: smart Democrats were But where are they? How did they
- 14:32Speaker 1: lose control? How do they get so frightened of these
- 14:34Speaker 1: twelve year old communists? They're just terrified of them in
- 14:38Speaker 1: standing up to them. Anyway, we'll get back to that.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We got a lot to get to today. We'll take
- 14:44Speaker 1: some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to two
- 14:47Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. Is the number, eight hundred three
- 14:51Speaker 1: to two to one zero seven ten, Live from the
- 14:54Speaker 1: wor Life Back Studios, Bill Mark Simone show. Hey, the
- 15:02Speaker 1: number is eight hundred three. That's the number, eight hundred
- 15:06Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten. Eight hundred three two
- 15:10Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. Let's go to how in Great
- 15:14Speaker 1: Neck Hell, how you doing.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Okay, how are you good?
- 15:20Speaker 1: All right?
- 15:21Speaker 2: I want to talk about I want to talk about
- 15:24Speaker 2: the abysmal lack of knowledge of Americans of history.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Well, yeah, we all can't be as brilliant as hell
- 15:30Speaker 1: from Great Neck. You know, we try to keep up,
- 15:32Speaker 1: but wow, you're like the Einstein of the North Shore.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Who could keep up with you? Okay, well, thank you?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Very flat. He thinks I'm serious, but America, Yeah, go ahead.
- 15:49Speaker 1: You know your phone's breaking up, but in your case,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I don't mind. Do we lose them? How are you there?
- 15:59Speaker 1: See he's still there. I can't hear you call back, brilliant,
- 16:03Speaker 1: but he can't get his phone door. Let's go to
- 16:06Speaker 1: John and West Islip, John, how you doing.
- 16:10Speaker 2: All right?
- 16:10Speaker 3: Mark?
- 16:11Speaker 4: You I.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Johnny Carson? Did he ever perform? Did he ever perform
- 16:18Speaker 6: his magic? Lives on the Tonight Show?
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah, once in a while, he never did his actual magic.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Carson had started as a kid as a magician. But
- 16:26Speaker 1: once in a while, especially when he had a little
- 16:28Speaker 1: kid on the show, he'd do a trick or two.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Once in a while he do a card trick or a
- 16:31Speaker 1: trick of coins, and he's.
- 16:33Speaker 6: Okay, cool, Yeah, that was like I grew up with Johnny.
- 16:37Speaker 6: He was the greatest, and it's so cool that you're
- 16:39Speaker 6: just so in Johnny Carson.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Wonder did you get the new book? You got the
- 16:43Speaker 1: new book called Love Johnny Carson.
- 16:45Speaker 6: You know I heard about the he was at the Patsy's.
- 16:48Speaker 6: He was at Patsy's in the city, and that was
- 16:51Speaker 6: something I wouldn't he stop hearing about it.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Get this book. It is this guy, the absolute definitive
- 16:59Speaker 1: book about you, Carson that just came out six months ago.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It's called Love Johnny Carson. Mark Malkoff to Johnny, I
- 17:08Speaker 1: absolute I knew everything you can know about Johnny Carson.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I read the book. I learned fifteen thousand things I
- 17:13Speaker 1: didn't know. It's the best book every now, deadly accurate book.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It's called Love Johnny Carson. Go order it today. Let's
- 17:21Speaker 1: go to uh Joel in Connecticut.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Joel, how you doing I'm doing well? Mark, how are
- 17:26Speaker 3: you doing good? So I wanted to just say regarding
- 17:30Speaker 3: man Danny and why he is so much beating the
- 17:35Speaker 3: drum to go after neck in Yahoo, I mean it's
- 17:39Speaker 3: really it's a dog whistle for his troops. He's we
- 17:44Speaker 3: know that, we know that Yeah, so if he's if
- 17:47Speaker 3: we know that, then why don't we charge him from
- 17:50Speaker 3: inciting to riot.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Well, we don't have to do that. Just threatening, to
- 17:54Speaker 1: believe it or not, just threatening. The arrest of net
- 17:56Speaker 1: and Yahoo is a crime under the law. I don't
- 17:59Speaker 1: have it in front of me. But there's several laws.
- 18:01Speaker 1: When a foreign leader comes to you in General Assembly,
- 18:04Speaker 1: he's under a certain protected status by the federal government.
- 18:07Speaker 1: It is a very serious crime to arrest him, harass him,
- 18:12Speaker 1: harm him in any way, handcuff him, and you can
- 18:15Speaker 1: face up to ten years in prison for that. But
- 18:18Speaker 1: if you read the law, there's a section in there
- 18:21Speaker 1: that it's illegal to even threaten a foreign leader coming
- 18:24Speaker 1: to the General Assembly, to even threaten him with anything
- 18:28Speaker 1: or try to intimidate him or menace him, and that's
- 18:31Speaker 1: a crime under federal law. You can be put in
- 18:33Speaker 1: jail for three years up to three years for that.
- 18:37Speaker 1: The President could right now arrest mom, Donnie, and he'd
- 18:40Speaker 1: easily be convicted under the law. But you know the
- 18:44Speaker 1: President isn't that ruthless. He'll give him another chance. Let's
- 18:48Speaker 1: go to rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich How you doing Andy?
- 18:52Speaker 2: Thanks? Mark. You know when Doommy steps over the line
- 18:54Speaker 2: a little bit more. Trump needs to become ruthless. He
- 18:57Speaker 2: needs to become ruthless and Iran he needs to finish
- 18:59Speaker 2: the off. Our guests went from three twenty nine to
- 19:02Speaker 2: three eighty in about four days. But the thing I
- 19:05Speaker 2: want to talk to you about was the poll I
- 19:06Speaker 2: saw this morning where you have the new Hampshire Pole.
- 19:10Speaker 2: We have aoc Buddha jedge is the top two candidates
- 19:14Speaker 2: sent some other knuckle ahead, and then you got Newsom
- 19:16Speaker 2: and Harris while the way down your line. Can you
- 19:19Speaker 2: imagine Rubio or Advance debating any one of those those
- 19:23Speaker 2: war arms on that stage. What that would look like?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Remember, ninety percent of the public polls that you said
- 19:28Speaker 1: you see on the news or in television or in
- 19:30Speaker 1: the news are totally rigged and absolutely absurd polls.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Not even one of MacLaughlin coming back on polls.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Well, I'm taking off tomorrow. We'll get them for next week.
- 19:39Speaker 1: We'll get John McLaughlin's one of the great.
- 19:42Speaker 2: You're pretty much done for Fridays for the rest of
- 19:44Speaker 2: the summer.
- 19:45Speaker 1: That Eric, No, I don't want to say that. I mean, well,
- 19:50Speaker 1: let me ask you something.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Anybody's allowed to take a day off, right, all right?
- 19:53Speaker 1: But let me ask you, is it better if I
- 19:54Speaker 1: just take a whole week off or just take a
- 19:56Speaker 1: bunch of Fridays off? Which is better?
- 20:00Speaker 3: Oh?
- 20:00Speaker 2: That's a hard pin. That's odd because maybe you have
- 20:03Speaker 2: Vincent or somebody else come in the house to show
- 20:04Speaker 2: on a Tuesday or something like that. That'd be pretty funny.
- 20:07Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 20:08Speaker 2: It's fifty fifty. It's fifty fifty. You don't want to
- 20:10Speaker 2: You don't want to be away that long, you know.
- 20:11Speaker 1: No, I don't want to take a whole I don't
- 20:13Speaker 1: want to take a week off. So I just I
- 20:17Speaker 1: got a lot of weeks vacation every year, so to
- 20:19Speaker 1: do it, I just think I'm sure stuff to take
- 20:22Speaker 1: a lot of Fridays off, it's better than taking a
- 20:24Speaker 1: whole week off at once.
- 20:26Speaker 2: That's true. That's true.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Thanks Mark, all right, thanks for calling. Uh and uh,
- 20:32Speaker 1: now I forgot what I was going to say. What
- 20:33Speaker 1: were we talking about with him? Oh, Ma'm Donnie, Yeah, Mom, Donnie. So, uh,
- 20:39Speaker 1: it's not they call it a dog with it's not
- 20:41Speaker 1: a dog whistle. I mean a dog whistle is a
- 20:43Speaker 1: kind of hint at something. This is a factory whistle.
- 20:46Speaker 1: The whole town can't hear it. He's screaming, he's gonna
- 20:49Speaker 1: go after a net and yahu the You gotta remember,
- 20:51Speaker 1: it's it's just they pretend it's anti Israel. All these
- 20:56Speaker 1: crazy democrats, socialists, all these left wing cooks, they pretend
- 21:01Speaker 1: the grudges with Israel. It's actually anti Semitism. It's real, dirty,
- 21:07Speaker 1: ugly anti semitism. They disguise it as anti Israel. And
- 21:11Speaker 1: if you're not Jewish and you said, well, it doesn't
- 21:13Speaker 1: affect me, it does affect you. Anytime you'll allow any
- 21:16Speaker 1: kind of crazed bigotry, it's harmful to everybody. And remember
- 21:21Speaker 1: with these crazy socialist communists, and this has always been
- 21:24Speaker 1: the case. It's first chapter is anti Semitism, and then
- 21:29Speaker 1: the next thing, you know, it's anti Catholic, and then
- 21:31Speaker 1: the next thing you know, it's anti America. You've already seen, mom,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Donny get anti Italian, anti Irish when you put that
- 21:37Speaker 1: map out. So hey, when we come back, we'll talk
- 21:40Speaker 1: to Steve Moore. Let's see if we do. So far,
- 21:44Speaker 1: he's been pretty good. He missed last week. We couldn't
- 21:46Speaker 1: find him, but I think that was an exception like,
- 21:50Speaker 1: he's been very good, so I predictable. Find Steve Moore next.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Lots to talk to him about coming up on seven
- 21:56Speaker 1: to ten WR mister New York on the game The
- 22:01Speaker 1: Mark Simone Showoor.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Well.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Steve Moore than brilliant economist and great columnists. You should
- 22:11Speaker 1: read his latest book, The Trump Economic Miracle. Great book,
- 22:15Speaker 1: Trump Economic Miracle. And then he runs the Committee to
- 22:18Speaker 1: Unleashed Prosperity. Every day they put out the best daily news,
- 22:21Speaker 1: briefing and analysis. Great stuff. It's free, it'll come right
- 22:25Speaker 1: to your email. You can go sign up at Unleash
- 22:28Speaker 1: Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you doing.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Hey, Mark? I am doing really well. By the way,
- 22:35Speaker 2: I apologize I missed your show last Thursday, but I
- 22:39Speaker 2: had think I have a pretty good excuse I had.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I did a day long visit to a data center
- 22:45Speaker 2: in Loudin County, Virginia. Now, have you ever been to
- 22:49Speaker 2: a data center? Mark?
- 22:51Speaker 1: No, I don't know. Most people haven't, but I'm yeah fascinate.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Well, I have to tell you it was an amazing experience.
- 22:57Speaker 2: These are technological marvels they're in. I mean, I've never
- 23:01Speaker 2: seen so many construction workers, so many trucks, so many
- 23:04Speaker 2: Caterpillar very much creterpiller equipment. This is the nerve center
- 23:08Speaker 2: of the Internet. We need these data centers. And as
- 23:11Speaker 2: you know, there's a revolt around the country and in
- 23:14Speaker 2: the state. You'reine in New York, you're idiot governor said,
- 23:16Speaker 2: you know, moratorium on data centers. Well, does that mean
- 23:19Speaker 2: she wants some moratorium on the internet.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Well, like most crazy left wing voters, they don't realize
- 23:26Speaker 1: the consequences of what they're voting.
- 23:27Speaker 6: For.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You, they won't be able to use their phone eventually.
- 23:30Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean people, I always say people, do
- 23:32Speaker 2: you like your I phone? You know, like your cell
- 23:34Speaker 2: phone in your hand that you can't you know, lived without.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Oh I love it? Well, but I don't want data centers.
- 23:40Speaker 2: That'll be like saying I want I want electricity, but
- 23:43Speaker 2: I don't want an electric power plant.
- 23:44Speaker 1: All right, let's go over the three objections. One is
- 23:47Speaker 1: it uses up all the electricity? Is that true?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Well, they do use an enormous amount of power, no question.
- 23:54Speaker 2: The Internet is very uses a lot of energy, and
- 23:58Speaker 2: yet they pay you know what they're doing now And
- 24:01Speaker 2: I've I've been working with these internet companies and the
- 24:04Speaker 2: data centers, they are now paying the freight for the
- 24:08Speaker 2: energy that they use, so much so that in Virginia
- 24:10Speaker 2: they've actually lowered the rates that pay that the homeowners
- 24:14Speaker 2: pay in that area because they pay all of their
- 24:17Speaker 2: variable cost and all the fixed costs for the for
- 24:20Speaker 2: the electric power. So this idea that they're going to
- 24:23Speaker 2: force everybody to pay more for electricity is wrong in
- 24:26Speaker 2: many cases. They they In fact, if you look at
- 24:29Speaker 2: Virginia and compare Virginia, say with New York, where you
- 24:31Speaker 2: have no data centers, the rates electric power rates are
- 24:35Speaker 2: falling in Virginia and they're.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Going way up in New York. Yeah, sometimes they try
- 24:39Speaker 1: to claim they can provide their own electricity, but we
- 24:42Speaker 1: haven't seen that in the well.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Some of them are talking about like building literally a
- 24:45Speaker 2: nuclear power reactor, a small module next to the data
- 24:49Speaker 2: that's still a little bit far off in the future,
- 24:51Speaker 2: but at some point they probably will, you know, do
- 24:54Speaker 2: that with these you know many nuclear modules that are
- 24:57Speaker 2: you know, you know, one tenth the size of.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Uh, you know, a three mile island reactor.
- 25:03Speaker 2: But but uh, you know, this is this is kind
- 25:05Speaker 2: of a myth because in the state, in the areas
- 25:07Speaker 2: where you have the data centers. They they use a
- 25:11Speaker 2: lot of electric power, but they pay a lot of
- 25:13Speaker 2: the freight for the electricity they use.
- 25:15Speaker 1: What about using up the water supply of the town.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Oh, that was that's one of the most focusing you know,
- 25:21Speaker 2: one of the things we saw on these data centers.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I mean these are huge, by the way, markets are
- 25:26Speaker 2: like two football fields long, massive amount of computers and uh,
- 25:30Speaker 2: and they have these massive pumps because water for you know,
- 25:34Speaker 2: it's a it's an interesting engineering experiment. The reason they
- 25:37Speaker 2: use so much water, you know what they use.
- 25:39Speaker 1: The water for? No cooling?
- 25:40Speaker 2: I guess cooling. Yeah, yeah, cooling because you know, there's
- 25:44Speaker 2: so much heat created by these computers. They need to
- 25:47Speaker 2: cool them down, and so the water is what cools
- 25:50Speaker 2: down so that they don't end up exploding. Uh. But
- 25:54Speaker 2: they've become almost circular. They do use a lot of water,
- 25:56Speaker 2: but it's they're now recycling it, so it just you know,
- 25:59Speaker 2: flows back and forth through the plant. So that's kind
- 26:02Speaker 2: of bogus argument as well.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Okay, the third argument is that they make a tremendous
- 26:07Speaker 1: amount of noise and that the residents wouldn't be able
- 26:09Speaker 1: to sleep at night.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Well, they are noisy, They can be noisy, but that's
- 26:14Speaker 2: why you So for example, the one that I visited
- 26:19Speaker 2: was right in the shadows of Dolus Airport. So what's
- 26:21Speaker 2: going on at Doulus Airport? Every every twenty five seconds
- 26:25Speaker 2: there's a plane, you know, flying by. So nobody complains
- 26:28Speaker 2: with the data is because you know the plan. So,
- 26:32Speaker 2: by the way, would be the same things that we
- 26:33Speaker 2: don't want airports in this country. We're gonna have airports.
- 26:36Speaker 2: They made for too much noise. But but you know,
- 26:40Speaker 2: but that's why I think they should be built only
- 26:43Speaker 2: in communities that want them. This is an enormous amount
- 26:45Speaker 2: of jobs. These are people are making fifty to one
- 26:48Speaker 2: hundred dollars an hour or more. You know, the technicians
- 26:51Speaker 2: make you know, several hundred thousand dollars a year. So
- 26:55Speaker 2: this is the future. But you know, the other thing
- 26:57Speaker 2: is we are in a race, as you know, I
- 26:59Speaker 2: call it the indy five hundred race against the Chinese
- 27:02Speaker 2: to see who's going to get there first. Because it's
- 27:04Speaker 2: not like we're going to stop AI and data centers
- 27:06Speaker 2: from happening. They're going to happen. It's just a question
- 27:08Speaker 2: of whether it's gonna be controlled by the USA or
- 27:12Speaker 2: China right now. I mean we're you know, I mean
- 27:15Speaker 2: we have a little bit of a lead, but not
- 27:17Speaker 2: a big lead on China.
- 27:18Speaker 1: So the reason we need the AI uses like a
- 27:21Speaker 1: million times more whatever than a simple Google search would
- 27:25Speaker 1: it uses set right. So, but the way this technology advances,
- 27:28Speaker 1: don't you think in five years the whole data center
- 27:31Speaker 1: will be the size of a vending machine. Besides of
- 27:34Speaker 1: what a vending machine in other words, Oh, I don't
- 27:37Speaker 1: know about that.
- 27:38Speaker 2: But they get better all the time in terms of
- 27:40Speaker 2: their efficiency, no question about it. And at some point,
- 27:44Speaker 2: you know when you talked about the future, at some
- 27:47Speaker 2: point the data centers will probably be up in the atmosphere.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Oh oh, I mean in space.
- 27:52Speaker 2: They'll be like satellites that'll do the So, I mean,
- 27:55Speaker 2: you know, the future is coming quickly, and I just
- 27:57Speaker 2: want America to win the race to the future. I
- 27:59Speaker 2: don't want the China.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Would say, but go ahead. When you walk around in
- 28:06Speaker 1: the data center, what goes I mean obviously all the equipment,
- 28:08Speaker 1: But are there a lot of people working there?
- 28:12Speaker 2: Not a lot? I mean these are huge mega computers, uh,
- 28:17Speaker 2: and you have technicians running around making sure that there's
- 28:21Speaker 2: a lot of security because you know, we're vulnerable if
- 28:24Speaker 2: if China wanted to, you know, or a terrorists wanted
- 28:28Speaker 2: to do damage to our country take up these data
- 28:30Speaker 2: centers all of a sudden. Guess what, you don't get
- 28:32Speaker 2: your internet, you don't get your GPS system, you don't
- 28:34Speaker 2: get the secure you know. The military is very dependent
- 28:37Speaker 2: on the data centers as well, so there's a lot
- 28:40Speaker 2: of security at these things. They would not let me
- 28:43Speaker 2: bring a camera in, by the way, they would not
- 28:45Speaker 2: let me take fixtures because they're worried about Chinese espionage. So,
- 28:50Speaker 2: but the technicians are everywhere. The construction was amazing though,
- 28:54Speaker 2: because they keep expanding these, you know, and I've never
- 28:57Speaker 2: seen so. And the construction workers union is the bigges
- 28:59Speaker 2: of you. They're the biggest advocates of of the of
- 29:03Speaker 2: the data centers because that's where a lot of the
- 29:05Speaker 2: jobs are coming from.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Now, yeah, who owns these data centers? Are they all independent?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Are they owned by a tech company? Who is the
- 29:12Speaker 1: data centers?
- 29:13Speaker 2: Well, I would tell you that except I have to
- 29:14Speaker 2: kill you. I mean, they're very secretive actually about who
- 29:18Speaker 2: owns them. And so some of the companies, like the
- 29:22Speaker 2: Googles and Amazons and stuff run their own data centers
- 29:26Speaker 2: and some of the then you have these independent companies
- 29:29Speaker 2: that build them and then they essentially rent them out.
- 29:33Speaker 2: They you know, there was they operate the data centers
- 29:36Speaker 2: and the Googles and the you know in videos and
- 29:38Speaker 2: so on. They contract with the data centers to use
- 29:42Speaker 2: their uh, you know, their facilities.
- 29:45Speaker 1: So we could open a data center and then contact.
- 29:50Speaker 2: You know. But they're enormous. I mean, they they are gigantic.
- 29:54Speaker 2: They as I said, they're several acres dig they're like
- 29:57Speaker 2: giant they look like those giant Amazon houses that people
- 30:00Speaker 2: are familiar with. And so but it's pretty exciting in
- 30:04Speaker 2: the future. And and you know, now they've got the
- 30:07Speaker 2: uh you know, one of the things this AI is
- 30:10Speaker 2: doing now is they're being able now to detect cancer
- 30:13Speaker 2: cells in the body much much much sooner than the
- 30:17Speaker 2: old technologies. So just as one example, because of this
- 30:21Speaker 2: AI revolution, which is dependent on data centers, you know,
- 30:24Speaker 2: within twenty years, we could literally have cures for cancer
- 30:27Speaker 2: because we'll be able to detect them. As anyone knows
- 30:30Speaker 2: who's had the tragedy of you know and the loved
- 30:32Speaker 2: one having cancer. This earlier you can detect the cancer,
- 30:35Speaker 2: the more likely you are to cure it.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, I don't know this, but do you have
- 30:40Speaker 1: to put the data center like local to where you're
- 30:42Speaker 1: going to need it or can they be any place.
- 30:43Speaker 2: In the world. Well, that's that's a good question. Mark.
- 30:46Speaker 2: I asked that exact same question to the technical people there.
- 30:50Speaker 2: You know, there is a benefit to proximity because you
- 30:53Speaker 2: need the transmission lines. But at some point I said,
- 30:56Speaker 2: why can't we build these things out in the desert? Yeah,
- 30:59Speaker 2: you know, And the problem is you would just need
- 31:02Speaker 2: long transmission lines, you know, getting that to New York
- 31:06Speaker 2: City or to Baltimore or to you know, your local community.
- 31:09Speaker 2: But I think at some point that might be the future.
- 31:12Speaker 2: You build them in outer space, and you build them
- 31:14Speaker 2: in you know, very remote.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Areas well, the way you describe it. Obviously, it costs
- 31:18Speaker 1: millions and millions to open one of these things, So
- 31:21Speaker 1: why don't just put some heavy taxes on them and
- 31:23Speaker 1: have them to help our tax burden.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Well, there's all sorts of alternatives to how we do this,
- 31:31Speaker 2: but we have to do it. And people say, well,
- 31:32Speaker 2: I don't want to AI is here. Businesses are already
- 31:35Speaker 2: using AI and we're in I've said many times in couplers.
- 31:38Speaker 2: So we're in the middle of an incredible productivity revolution.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I mean, how about this Mark.
- 31:43Speaker 2: You know what we could with these productivity improvements. They're
- 31:47Speaker 2: coming four day work week.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Yeah, well I'm already doing that, but but I know,
- 31:56Speaker 1: Steve Moore, this has been fascinating, what a fascinating It's great.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I mean it's I wish every American could go visit
- 32:04Speaker 2: a data center and you could see with your two
- 32:06Speaker 2: eyes what's going on in these things. They are mind
- 32:10Speaker 2: numbing in terms. I mean, think about this. Remember the
- 32:13Speaker 2: old Lily Tomlin, you know skits where she would pay
- 32:16Speaker 2: the play the uh oh the switch to the telephone
- 32:19Speaker 2: operator and she'd put me, oh you want to call
- 32:22Speaker 2: Mike Smith, okay, and then she'd take the plug out,
- 32:24Speaker 2: she put it, put it into the you know that
- 32:27Speaker 2: was like one one telephone call and one one operator
- 32:30Speaker 2: was you know, you know, transmitting your call. These are
- 32:34Speaker 2: billions of transactions and communications that are happening every minute.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Well, well, Steve, more fascinating interview. This is it is unbelievable. Well,
- 32:44Speaker 1: great stuff. Everybody gets. Steve Moore's book The Trump Economic miracle,
- 32:48Speaker 1: and make sure you sign up for his daily briefing.
- 32:50Speaker 1: And it's called the Hotline. You go to Unleash prosperity
- 32:54Speaker 1: dot com. Sign up, it's free, it'll come write to
- 32:56Speaker 1: your email Unleash prosperity dot com. Brilliant as all Steve Moore,
- 33:01Speaker 1: thanks for being with us.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Okay, Mark, have a great week.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Take care, take care. Wow, now that was see Now
- 33:08Speaker 1: you know everything you need to know about these data centers. Hey,
- 33:11Speaker 1: you don't forget. At noon it's Buck Sexton and Clay
- 33:13Speaker 1: Travis three o'clock. Today you got the most listened to
- 33:16Speaker 1: radio show in America, Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly at six
- 33:21Speaker 1: and Jimmy Fayla every night. What a funny show every
- 33:25Speaker 1: night nine to midnight. Here on seven ten, wor.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Mark Simo the issues you really care about?
- 33:32Speaker 5: On seven ten wor.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Well, Hey, it's going to be the most beautiful four
- 33:38Speaker 1: days of the entire summer starting today at eighty degrees sunny.
- 33:42Speaker 1: It's gonna be like this for four days in a row,
- 33:45Speaker 1: so take advantage of it. I got another hour to
- 33:47Speaker 1: go on. Lots to get to in the next hour.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Back after the news on seven to ten wor
