- 0:00Speaker 1: The SBA made an announcement.
- 0:07Speaker 2: That they were going to, or they are, they're proposing.
- 0:13Speaker 1: To make significant.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Changes that will forever hinder small businesses or what may
- 0:21Speaker 2: have come to mind when you thought of.
- 0:26Speaker 1: As representing a small business.
- 0:30Speaker 2: In the United States, the greatest country ever, the notion
- 0:35Speaker 2: is a small business.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Is like a ma and pa, is one person.
- 0:39Speaker 2: The vast majority of businesses in the United States have
- 0:44Speaker 2: this many employees. They typically have one. And what you
- 0:50Speaker 2: see here on the screen represents the current, and thank
- 0:56Speaker 2: you all for being here, especially all my insiders, all
- 1:00Speaker 2: my amazing, thank you for being here, going live every
- 1:03Speaker 2: day until we have a million views a month.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We're still hovering around 300,000. So like, share, hit the
- 1:09Speaker 1: notification button.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Tonight is all around how the SBA is looking to
- 1:17Speaker 2: destroy us small businesses. So the current size standards, so
- 1:23Speaker 2: when you're looking at opportunities for With the federal government.
- 1:28Speaker 2: And they say total small business. This is what they're
- 1:33Speaker 2: referring to.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Right. Where it says current standard. The current standard.
- 1:45Speaker 3: And.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You can see here. The current NAICS that say.
- 1:59Speaker 2: For computers, a small business is one who on average,
- 2:06Speaker 2: typically three to five years, their average revenue for those
- 2:11Speaker 2: NAICS codes are $ 34 to $ 35.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Million equals small.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So it is not somebody doing $ 100, 000, $ 20, 000, $ 1 million
- 2:19Speaker 2: a year. But the SBA in August proposed changing it
- 2:26Speaker 2: so that a small business now equals $ 531 million.
- 2:30Speaker 1: And you can see the other changes.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Management consulting going from $ 19 million to $ 295 million. Facility support,
- 2:40Speaker 2: $ 47 million to $ 156 million. And then, of course, 36,000
- 2:44Speaker 2: employees is small. I mean, I understand, you know, small
- 2:50Speaker 2: like a jelly bean, an ant, like a little gnat.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But 3,600 employees, $ 61 million a year for other professional
- 3:02Speaker 2: scientific technical instead of 19.5. This is what they are proposing.
- 3:09Speaker 2: This is a nice snapshot of what the SBA is proposing.
- 3:16Speaker 1: As you can imagine... There was all of this public outrage.
- 3:27Speaker 2: All over to the point where the SBA had to
- 3:37Speaker 2: extend their deadline for comments. And this is so important
- 3:48Speaker 2: and what I advocate for each and every one of
- 3:51Speaker 2: you here today is.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Is to have your voice heard.
- 3:57Speaker 2: So initially comments were due early September, and then they
- 4:03Speaker 2: extended them to November. Of the various comments that have
- 4:08Speaker 2: been received, I want to show you here. 87% oppose them.
- 4:31Speaker 2: 59% completely, in sum, 87%. And then there's even details
- 4:39Speaker 2: here around different groups. 172 comments from veteran vote, 92%
- 4:45Speaker 2: are against. 200 comments as of not too long ago,
- 4:51Speaker 2: maybe a week or two ago, 90% against. This is
- 5:00Speaker 2: important to be aware of because if all of a
- 5:04Speaker 2: sudden a small business is now defined as 3,600 employees,
- 5:15Speaker 2: when you go on SAM.gov and you go to advanced
- 5:18Speaker 2: search total small business, you are now competing against a
- 5:23Speaker 2: company of that size or a company who does $ 156
- 5:26Speaker 2: million a year. One of the main reasons for this
- 5:34Speaker 2: is there was this kind of rumbling that we need
- 5:40Speaker 2: a mid-level business.
- 5:41Speaker 4: But it's called the Small Business Administration, is it not?
- 5:52Speaker 4: And so some in elected.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Positions think, well, but that's unfair, right? It's unfair that
- 6:00Speaker 2: a company.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Exceeded the American dream, right?
- 6:06Speaker 2: They're no longer doing 34 to 37 million. Now they're
- 6:10Speaker 2: doing 50 million, but they're not small. That's not fair
- 6:13Speaker 2: to them. There's no category. So let's just increase it
- 6:18Speaker 2: to $ 531 million. That's a small business. That is ridiculous.
- 6:23Speaker 2: It's just ridiculous. It's called the Small Business Administration, not
- 6:29Speaker 2: let's just throw out numbers. to satisfy organizations who donate
- 6:37Speaker 2: to campaigns. That's what this is about. I'm going to
- 6:41Speaker 2: send you, I'll share the link here just one second.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I made a comment as soon as this was posted.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I made a comment. I'm one of the thousands of
- 6:50Speaker 1: comments that are there. It's, it's, I know the curls
- 6:55Speaker 1: are popping up. It is sickening. It is, I've been
- 6:59Speaker 1: in this space since 07.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And I have come across a lot of different things,
- 7:05Speaker 2: but this is, it is wild.
- 7:12Speaker 1: It is wild. You have 87% oppose it. And think
- 7:16Speaker 1: about it.
- 7:17Speaker 2: How many times in America do 87% of people have
- 7:21Speaker 2: the same view? I don't even think 87% of us
- 7:23Speaker 2: would say we like pizza over tacos. Maybe 87% of
- 7:32Speaker 2: people say they don't like Hawaiian pizza.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I don't even think it would be that. But think
- 7:36Speaker 1: about it. This is a huge consensus.
- 7:39Speaker 2: To propose 19 to 24 million, that was what was
- 7:44Speaker 2: considered small before. No, it's now going to be 295.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I mean, this is nuts. Research and development, engineering, 2,800
- 7:54Speaker 2: employees is going to be small.
- 7:57Speaker 1: That's what they're proposing.
- 7:59Speaker 2: So I just shared the link as far as where
- 8:04Speaker 2: you can make a comment.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And I'm also going to show you the page. So
- 8:14Speaker 1: then you know you're in the right place. This is
- 8:20Speaker 1: what the page looks like. Federal Registry.
- 8:39Speaker 3: And at the.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Very top, it says submit a public comment right here.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Right here. And then a drop-down box opens up.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You have until November 20th at 11.59 p.m.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Eastern Time.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I understand for those of you where maybe you're watching
- 9:15Speaker 2: the replay, I understand that my videos are going, that they,
- 9:19Speaker 2: they're living, breathing videos.
- 9:21Speaker 1: They'll be here long after I'm gone, which, you know,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I'll be like 140 then. Because I'm forever 28. But I,
- 9:26Speaker 1: even as time passes, Here's what I want.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Everyone to take away from this, okay? One is, where
- 9:39Speaker 2: does this really leave small businesses? Well, it puts us
- 9:44Speaker 2: in a position of not being cared for and being overlooked.
- 9:49Speaker 2: It's like Miami Beach in spring break. They don't want
- 9:53Speaker 2: spring breakers. They actually put out an entire campaign of,
- 9:57Speaker 2: we're breaking up.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It's not you, it's us. We're breaking, we broke up.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I'm a Miami beach resident. I just voted there.
- 10:05Speaker 2: So it says to me, you really don't care about
- 10:08Speaker 2: us because how is a business who is doing too
- 10:14Speaker 2: much $ 152 million a year.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Are considered small.
- 10:21Speaker 2: So when it comes to the small business, that means
- 10:24Speaker 2: you really want to give resources and preference to them.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Because remember, this is bigger than just SAM.gov. How do
- 10:33Speaker 2: you get a small business loan? You have to be small.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Right?
- 10:39Speaker 1: So where does this leave us? It leaves us, we're overlooked.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I feel like some Kendrick Lamar, like they don't care.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Was it Kendrick Lamar talking about they don't care about us?
- 10:48Speaker 1: I don't remember who it was. Overlooked, feeling like they
- 10:53Speaker 1: don't care about us.
- 10:57Speaker 2: It's going to make for interesting competition because if you
- 11:01Speaker 2: have a lawn maintenance company who's doing, let's see, let
- 11:04Speaker 2: me take a look at the numbers. Facility support services
- 11:09Speaker 2: would be $ 156 million. And sometimes facility support is on there.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Sometimes lawn maintenance is under there, but sometimes it's not.
- 11:23Speaker 2: So then it would be $ 156 million. Do they honestly
- 11:27Speaker 2: think a company doing $ 156 million a year is trying
- 11:31Speaker 2: to bid on some lawn maintenance work that's like $ 200, 000
- 11:34Speaker 2: to $ 300, 000? So in that instance, I don't see it
- 11:39Speaker 2: changing a lot for us. The programming, the grants, the
- 11:45Speaker 2: different loans, they'll probably start creating things out of the blue. Oh,
- 11:54Speaker 2: they really need fill in the blank. They need a
- 11:57Speaker 2: super loan. So now SBA is going to provide a
- 12:00Speaker 2: loan up to a trillion dollars.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I have no... Nothing but love for SBA loans.
- 12:07Speaker 2: And I love what the SBA has done throughout parts
- 12:11Speaker 2: of history of my career.
- 12:13Speaker 1: What infuriates me are these games.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Because I get that government contracting equals politics. Politics equals
- 12:22Speaker 2: government contracting.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I get that.
- 12:24Speaker 2: But now we're talking about all of these other areas
- 12:27Speaker 2: being impacted because you have businesses that for years have complained.
- 12:33Speaker 2: There's been a history of complaints. Because think about if
- 12:37Speaker 2: you were on the other side of this. You're doing
- 12:40Speaker 2: $ 50 million a year and you are a software publisher.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And you're like, well, this isn't fair. How am I
- 12:48Speaker 2: supposed to compete against Microsoft? And they're like, well, you're
- 12:52Speaker 2: not small anymore. You do 50 because small is 47.
- 12:56Speaker 1: And I get it.
- 12:56Speaker 2: They've complained, they've complained, they've complained. And they felt as
- 13:00Speaker 2: if no one has said anything. And when you're doing....
- 13:04Speaker 1: More than the small business.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Amount, the size standard amount, that gives you money to
- 13:15Speaker 2: contribute to political campaigns, to PACs, to all kinds of things.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And so I'm sure that people who are in the
- 13:26Speaker 2: middle are mad, but does that mean that we should
- 13:29Speaker 2: be penalized? It's called the Small Business Administration. We're just
- 13:34Speaker 2: going to start making up numbers because, you know, people.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Are going to throw around some cash. What does that
- 13:47Speaker 1: also mean?
- 13:49Speaker 2: You can have an 8A that's doing like $ 500 million
- 13:52Speaker 2: a year. It's going to have this massive impact. And
- 13:59Speaker 2: my concern is It reminds me of Miami Beach. The
- 14:04Speaker 2: mayor before the current one, Dan the Dan, as I
- 14:08Speaker 2: like to call him, he wanted liquor sales to end early.
- 14:17Speaker 2: He did not want clubs. He was all against it.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And so we had a vote to change the hour
- 14:27Speaker 2: of which you could consume alcohol to from 5 a.m.
- 14:31Speaker 1: To 2. Although I've been.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Sober for 13 years, it doesn't mean I'm against drinking.
- 14:36Speaker 2: It's just I can't drink.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I have an allergy. So we voted. It didn't pass.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Well, then all of a sudden, some nonsense happened in
- 14:47Speaker 2: Miami Beach and some very horrendous So I want to
- 14:55Speaker 2: be careful of the terms that I use because I'm
- 14:57Speaker 2: on YouTube and I never want my video to be
- 14:59Speaker 2: pulled again.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I love you, YouTube, because of AI.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I've had a video pulled over misunderstandings. Some very horrendous,
- 15:06Speaker 2: horrible things happened. And the mayor's office used it to say, look, see, yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 2: we need to change. We need to change the hours
- 15:17Speaker 2: from five to two. We voted to say no. Well,
- 15:21Speaker 2: then I think they put the vote out there twice
- 15:24Speaker 2: or three times. So eventually he got what he wanted.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And so then within the entertainment district, alcohol sales cut
- 15:33Speaker 2: off at two. So if you really know Miami Beach,
- 15:37Speaker 2: pre-bay that Kanye and Jay-Z talked about that then transformed
- 15:41Speaker 2: into story, that club has since closed because of the
- 15:46Speaker 2: change in the laws.
- 15:48Speaker 1: My concern is, oh, well, we're.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Going to extend the comment period. We're gonna extend it.
- 15:59Speaker 2: 87% of us said we don't want it. So what
- 16:01Speaker 2: are you extending it for? What are you hiring some
- 16:03Speaker 2: bots to come in here and say you like it
- 16:05Speaker 2: or it's great? Are you trying to manipulate the comments?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Listen, I'm just, these are my thoughts. Please be aware
- 16:14Speaker 1: of that. These are all my thoughts. This is my channel.
- 16:16Speaker 1: This is my thoughts.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I just feel like my intuition is like, this is
- 16:23Speaker 2: like the voting situation in Miami Beach.
- 16:28Speaker 1: What do you need to extend the comments for? I
- 16:31Speaker 1: don't even think.
- 16:32Speaker 2: 87% of people in America would say they like.
- 16:39Speaker 1: The color white. I don't even think that would happen.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So what do you want?
- 16:48Speaker 2: You just want computer professional training to be a small
- 16:52Speaker 2: business at $ 157.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Million a year?
- 16:56Speaker 2: You just don't want to help us. Please have your
- 17:04Speaker 2: voice heard. Please have your voice heard, okay? If there's
- 17:10Speaker 2: one thing you want to do in the space of
- 17:12Speaker 2: government contracting, I mean, of course, you want to get
- 17:15Speaker 2: a cage code, and I saw the.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Comment about the factoring.
- 17:19Speaker 2: And I love you guys and I'm here for you.
- 17:21Speaker 2: You also want to make sure that you take a
- 17:24Speaker 2: stand when necessary. And this is one of those instances.
- 17:28Speaker 2: You know, if you don't want to vote, that's cool.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's up to you. I always vote. It's very important.
- 17:35Speaker 2: But when it comes to these changes, it's just so ridiculous.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I mean, I remember when I first started out in 07,
- 17:43Speaker 2: I think one of the size standards was don't remember
- 17:47Speaker 2: which one it was it was like seven million dollars
- 17:50Speaker 2: and i remember i remember being like oh my god
- 17:53Speaker 2: seven million dollars that's so much money yeah but nothing
- 17:57Speaker 2: compared to this 531 million dollars is now small really
- 18:08Speaker 2: that's why you gotta have your voice heard.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Click the green button.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Management and other consulting, $ 295 million.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Really?
- 18:25Speaker 2: So here are some other things to do and what
- 18:27Speaker 2: to do knowing this information. Have your voice heard. Please
- 18:33Speaker 2: go to the Federal Registry and post a comment.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Your comments do make a difference. In other areas, I
- 18:41Speaker 1: don't know about it.
- 18:43Speaker 2: But I can say this, when it comes to the
- 18:46Speaker 2: SBA and the different, many of these different government kind
- 18:52Speaker 2: of rules and regulations, the more people speak up, they
- 18:56Speaker 2: get involved, they organize.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I have seen amazing things happen.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Like for instance, during President Trump's first term, people wanted
- 19:06Speaker 2: the 8A program to extend an extra year because of
- 19:10Speaker 2: the pandemic.
- 19:11Speaker 1: And lo and behold, it happened.
- 19:13Speaker 2: And I ended up with 10 years in the program
- 19:16Speaker 2: as a result of it. And so I've seen things
- 19:19Speaker 2: happen in my career. So please, please have your voice heard. Okay.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Next is don't freak out.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I had to kind of pull myself a little bit
- 19:32Speaker 2: off of LinkedIn because there were all of these comments.
- 19:34Speaker 1: And I was like, at the end of the day,
- 19:36Speaker 1: you still have to find, bid, and win.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Period.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Period. Because the flip.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Side is a company with 3,600 employees, they're not going
- 19:46Speaker 2: to bid on a lot of, smaller work.
- 19:49Speaker 1: They're going to be like, oh, well, we're going to.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Bid on something that's $ 50 million a year.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Okay, whatever.
- 19:56Speaker 1: So just be aware of that. The next thing is
- 20:01Speaker 1: if this.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Goes through because it's proposed, then you're going to see
- 20:05Speaker 2: even more changes to what the SBA offers.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So For instance, I.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Receive emails almost every day or every week, that is,
- 20:16Speaker 2: from the SBA.
- 20:19Speaker 1: So I have the South Florida office to today.
- 20:26Speaker 2: And when you go through it, the type of webinars
- 20:29Speaker 2: are on franchises, making AI work for your small business,
- 20:36Speaker 2: tax strategies, Human resources.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Start up, start right. AI fundamentals. Something on effective employee.
- 20:50Speaker 1: The email kind of cuts off.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Yes, it is one that I checked, but this one
- 20:59Speaker 2: is the one that you should email if it's about
- 21:02Speaker 2: something around YouTube. The other one is customer service. Yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 2: I have a team that checks the customer service email.
- 21:16Speaker 2: So there's nothing wrong against this curriculum, the classes that
- 21:26Speaker 2: the SBA is offering. But imagine if now a business
- 21:30Speaker 2: with 3,600 employees is considered small. Do you think that
- 21:34Speaker 2: they're going to have a class called Startups?
- 21:38Speaker 1: Start up, start right. No, they're going to have some
- 21:42Speaker 1: other kind of class. What about us? What about us?
- 21:54Speaker 2: Next, this will significantly impact contracting officers because they're going
- 21:59Speaker 2: to want to sole source everything. And you can sole
- 22:03Speaker 2: source with HUBZones, WOSB, SDVOSB, They're just going to want
- 22:09Speaker 2: to sole source because, I mean, doing $ 120 million, I
- 22:13Speaker 2: think you can handle this work. And I darn sure
- 22:19Speaker 2: wouldn't call it the Small Business Administration. You know, I
- 22:23Speaker 2: want to look up a stat.
- 22:24Speaker 1: For you all. Average sales.
- 22:39Speaker 1: For small businesses in America. Oh shoot, hold on a
- 22:53Speaker 1: second you guys. So you can see a sole proprietor
- 23:09Speaker 1: And this is from, you know, here's kind of where
- 23:12Speaker 1: they pulled it from. 47K, 1 to.
- 23:15Speaker 2: 4, you know, they have, okay, average number of, let's see.
- 23:48Speaker 2: As I started out saying, it's one, 1.7. 0.7 is
- 23:52Speaker 2: not a human being, right? There's no point of a person.
- 23:58Speaker 1: So it's one.
- 23:59Speaker 2: The vast majority of businesses are one-person operations. The mathematical
- 24:07Speaker 2: average across all 36.2 million firms. And then you have freelancers, 29.8
- 24:27Speaker 2: million businesses have zero.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Employees because you may not be giving yourself a payroll
- 24:33Speaker 1: and getting a W-2.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Micro businesses, small teams, they're using all of these different terms,
- 24:41Speaker 2: but at the end of the day, this is a
- 24:43Speaker 2: small business, not 3,600 employees. So when it comes to
- 24:53Speaker 2: Who needs assistance?
- 24:55Speaker 1: Who needs the support of the Small Business Administration?
- 24:58Speaker 2: Hence why they have classes on AI fundamentals and buying
- 25:03Speaker 2: a franchise. Because they will give you funding to buy
- 25:07Speaker 2: a franchise. They being the SBA, because usually a franchise
- 25:15Speaker 2: has kind of like a known business model and they
- 25:17Speaker 2: don't view it as risky. But what's missing as I
- 25:21Speaker 2: scroll through this email from the SBA, there's nothing on
- 25:26Speaker 2: here around government contracting, veterans, women, wherever. Okay, let's say, yeah, Kizzy,
- 25:34Speaker 2: but we don't want to deal with the DUI, DEI.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Let's just, okay, but I don't see anything on here
- 25:39Speaker 2: about anything government, state, local.
- 25:41Speaker 1: It's all AI. AI and startup get right. Okay, that's
- 25:48Speaker 1: not the title. Start up, start right.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I'm sure it's a lovely class. Simple steps for starting
- 26:05Speaker 2: a business. Financial resources. Oh, thank you for the email.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 26:41Speaker 2: So yeah, a lot of these are small, are classes
- 26:45Speaker 2: like that.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Then you have, what is this one?
- 26:52Speaker 2: There's, there's, it's just, it just blows my mind.
- 26:58Speaker 1: As far as what is here. Okay? So I'm going
- 27:03Speaker 1: to break right now. I'm going to take a look
- 27:10Speaker 1: at some of these questions. Thank you so much.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I encourage everyone here to please have your voice heard.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Go to the Federal Registry and express your views around
- 27:25Speaker 2: a small business being one that does $ 500 million a year.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you only need 1%. It all goes
- 27:38Speaker 1: back to what are your goals?
- 27:40Speaker 2: What are your goals for government contracting?
- 27:44Speaker 1: There's no reason you can't reach those. There's no reason.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Okay, so for factoring, I'm so glad you're here. I'm
- 27:54Speaker 2: going to put my email in here again and try
- 27:57Speaker 2: different companies because that factoring companies like that, the one
- 28:01Speaker 2: that I, who I interviewed, they like ongoing revenue. So
- 28:05Speaker 2: if you have like a multi-year and then they may,
- 28:08Speaker 2: I think they made a change.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Like they raised what, how much money they want you
- 28:13Speaker 1: to be bringing in. So just be aware of that.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Because when I use them, it was 2013. Gosh, it's
- 28:20Speaker 1: so wild. It was like, 13 years ago, 14 years ago.
- 28:28Speaker 1: I mean, I just said 14 because, you know, this
- 28:30Speaker 1: video is going to live on.
- 28:35Speaker 2: So question, finding a vendor. You put whatever the profit is,
- 28:44Speaker 2: but you also have to.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Manage the work. I wouldn't say it's a numbers game.
- 28:54Speaker 2: It's more about having a strategy that will maximize your win.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Because when it comes to numbers, so let's say you
- 29:05Speaker 2: submit 100, you win 10.
- 29:07Speaker 1: So you're like, oh, okay, great.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Every 100, I win 10. But do you know why
- 29:12Speaker 2: you won the 10? Why did you win those 10?
- 29:15Speaker 2: I mean, this is not like luck. This isn't just like, well,
- 29:20Speaker 2: I'm just going to go to the roulette table. Well,
- 29:27Speaker 2: the rule of the table.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Is more than luck.
- 29:28Speaker 2: There are statistics and probability. So let me pause. This
- 29:34Speaker 2: isn't probability. There's a reason you won or there's a
- 29:37Speaker 2: reason you lost. And so that's what important in having
- 29:41Speaker 2: a strategy. That's why I'm talking about what the SBA
- 29:46Speaker 2: is proposing when it comes to size standards. Because if
- 29:50Speaker 2: this passed, then a company doing $ 246 million under NAICS
- 29:55Speaker 2: Code 541-6 720.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Is going to be considered a small business.
- 30:05Speaker 2: And then you see on average, businesses consist of like
- 30:10Speaker 2: one person.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:28Speaker 2: So this is a great time to have your voice
- 30:30Speaker 2: heard because you have over 80%, 87% of people who
- 30:42Speaker 2: commented oppose it. And the comments have become increasingly negative
- 30:56Speaker 2: as the docket progressed. The first 200, probably chatbots, included
- 31:04Speaker 2: 14% that supported it.
- 31:16Speaker 1: There is a rhythm in which the government every so often.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Will re-examine the size standard. So it's not unheard of
- 31:34Speaker 2: that they change, but it'll go like seven to maybe
- 31:38Speaker 2: 15 to maybe 25, not seven to.
- 31:42Speaker 1: 500 million, you're small. Like really?
- 31:45Speaker 3: Come on, y'all.
- 31:47Speaker 1: That's just like, wow.
- 31:50Speaker 2: And then on the flip side, you do have this
- 31:53Speaker 2: situation of like, oh my gosh, What they would call it,
- 31:57Speaker 2: because they want everyone to be aware of the industry terms,
- 32:00Speaker 2: they would call it busting the size standard.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Listen, this is a lingo I learned in 07 and on.
- 32:06Speaker 2: You bust the size standard like, oh my gosh, I'm
- 32:09Speaker 2: no longer small because we're doing $ 26 million.
- 32:14Speaker 1: A year in that NAICS code. So then.
- 32:21Speaker 2: People would sometimes get aggravated, like, oh, we can't really
- 32:24Speaker 2: bid on work in that NAICS code. I look at
- 32:27Speaker 2: it as workarounds, like buy a smaller business. There's all
- 32:32Speaker 2: of these potential workarounds, but it hasn't really been properly addressed.
- 32:38Speaker 2: But the name is Small Business Administration, not mega business.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Like you said, nano.
- 32:44Speaker 2: But on the flip side, the majority of businesses are
- 32:47Speaker 2: this many people. So it's just... It's really messy, and
- 32:51Speaker 2: I also understand the other side of it. I understand
- 32:56Speaker 2: if you're doing 50, 60, 70, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500,
- 33:00Speaker 2: 600 million dollars, you have the money for influence. Yeah,
- 33:06Speaker 2: money buys Gucci, Louis, Prada, a house, a car, private school,
- 33:12Speaker 2: a chef. You know, you can be like Cardi, I
- 33:14Speaker 2: ain't touched doors, a car door in years.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I got that. At the same time, it buys influence.
- 33:25Speaker 2: It buys you your ability to get things the way
- 33:29Speaker 2: you want them to be.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 33:42Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you. Let me get this here.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Okay. Okay.
- 33:49Speaker 2: So what happened before? How many times did you try
- 33:52Speaker 2: to win? And thank you for my insiders because I
- 33:54Speaker 2: know you're an insider. Feel free to join my insider program.
- 33:58Speaker 2: You know, you want to be a big baller insider.
- 33:59Speaker 1: For $ 4. 99 a month or might be $ 5. 99 a month.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Check that out. You get access to everything. But get money.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Where were you before the wins? Like how long have
- 34:11Speaker 1: you tried? I mean, it is, but it's politics, right?
- 34:18Speaker 1: I know it is.
- 34:19Speaker 2: It's wild.
- 34:21Speaker 1: So please.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Keep in mind, many businesses consist of one person because 0.7
- 34:29Speaker 2: is not, there's no, hi, I'm 0.7 of a person,
- 34:33Speaker 2: even with those epic. And you have over 87 or 85%.
- 34:38Speaker 2: We're like, no, we're not for this. So please, before
- 34:49Speaker 2: the 20th of November, comment. Comment against this. You can
- 34:57Speaker 2: see the entire proposition when you scroll down. You can
- 35:03Speaker 2: see it all there. There's no fee. There's nothing to
- 35:07Speaker 2: log into. It's about being an advocate. When you are
- 35:12Speaker 2: in this space, As a small business owner, it's also
- 35:19Speaker 2: imperative to have your voice heard.
- 35:26Speaker 1: This is way bigger than a contract.
- 35:30Speaker 2: This is about an agency that is about to be,
- 35:33Speaker 2: that's basically being hijacked. They're trying to destroy us because
- 35:37Speaker 2: they want to focus on companies doing 100, 200, 200, 400,
- 35:38Speaker 2: 500 million with 3,600 employees. So I'm taking another question.
- 35:48Speaker 2: You might want to try hard money funders, credit cards, friend, family,
- 35:53Speaker 2: you know.
- 35:55Speaker 1: See who can bankroll you. Try Otro Financial. I interviewed him.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I can't guarantee anything, you know, in that it deals
- 36:09Speaker 2: with your credit score. I want everyone to be aware
- 36:11Speaker 2: of that because I've heard people say, oh, it's your
- 36:14Speaker 2: business credit, your business credit.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but you own the business.
- 36:17Speaker 2: It's based on you, your credit score, all these other factors.
- 36:22Speaker 2: But also try what makes sense for you. Contact your
- 36:25Speaker 2: financial advisor. Please make sure to do all of those
- 36:32Speaker 2: things also. This is not that kind of financial advice. Yeah,
- 36:54Speaker 2: it's the least I can do. So if you have
- 36:58Speaker 2: any more comments, let me know. But this is the
- 37:03Speaker 2: this is what I wanted to convey today. I will
- 37:06Speaker 2: be here live every night or every day. Some was
- 37:10Speaker 2: every day until we hit.
- 37:12Speaker 1: A million views a month.
- 37:15Speaker 2: We are right hovering right around 300,000.
- 37:19Speaker 1: And I know it will increase. I know it will
- 37:23Speaker 1: get better. I know all of that.
- 37:30Speaker 2: So please just keep coming back. Please have your voice heard.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Please go into the federal registry. Because again, average small
- 37:48Speaker 2: business has about one employee. And we get that it's
- 37:52Speaker 2: a little different if you're a freelancer and things of
- 37:55Speaker 2: that nature.
- 37:57Speaker 1: But a $ 500 million a year company is not small.
- 38:01Speaker 1: And they shouldn't get the benefits. What they should do
- 38:05Speaker 1: is figure out how to handle those companies. I mean, the.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Department of War just proposed a, like a religion, not doctorate,
- 38:16Speaker 2: but like some religious department.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Come up with a medium-sized small business department. Okay, get money.
- 38:24Speaker 1: It started in April, one in July. I had VAs.
- 38:28Speaker 2: But they didn't know what they were doing and ended
- 38:30Speaker 2: up downstaffing, got more.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Hands-on because of you. Thank you. You know, this is
- 38:34Speaker 1: a very powerful comment. I'm going to take another photo.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Here's why this is powerful. You'll hear, oh, you just
- 38:48Speaker 2: got to get people to do it. You know, why
- 38:51Speaker 2: don't you just partner with somebody and they get a percentage?
- 38:54Speaker 1: You know, like.
- 38:56Speaker 2: I get the most intriguing emails, right? I'll get these
- 38:59Speaker 2: emails like, well, can't you just partner with me and
- 39:03Speaker 2: you get a percentage of it?
- 39:05Speaker 1: Or I have this one guy writing me right now
- 39:07Speaker 1: and he's like, hey, I can do this proposal breakdown.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And in exchange, you.
- 39:22Speaker 2: You will, you know, I'll do this for you, Kizzy. And,
- 39:27Speaker 2: you know, this is so powerful, this proposal breakthrough.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Thing I have. And like, there's a difference between automation
- 39:37Speaker 1: and what's elevating.
- 39:42Speaker 2: It's like I had somebody buy, you know, those circle
- 39:46Speaker 2: vacuum cleaners, the Roomba.
- 39:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 39:49Speaker 1: I call the Roomba. And, you know, that was cute.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I don't need that. Now, I have seen the version,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I think it cuts lawn.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I saw that in action. I was like, oh yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 2: that makes sense. But I like vacuuming. I got Dyson's
- 40:07Speaker 2: in my places and not that I vacuum in the sky,
- 40:10Speaker 2: but you can't see me down here, but I like
- 40:12Speaker 2: a vacuum. It's therapeutic to vacuum. It doesn't take long
- 40:16Speaker 2: to vacuum. I don't need this vacuum thing. I don't
- 40:20Speaker 2: need all that.
- 40:22Speaker 1: So what was the point? And that's what your comment
- 40:26Speaker 1: is saying is, yeah, you have VAs, but.
- 40:31Speaker 2: If VAs could win contracts, they would have been winning
- 40:33Speaker 2: their own contracts.
- 40:35Speaker 1: If you have somebody get.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Contracts for you and then there's some cut involved, then
- 40:40Speaker 2: why are they even getting contracts?
- 40:43Speaker 1: Because y'all, at the end of the day, you still
- 40:48Speaker 1: have to execute the contracts. It would be like, it's like, okay,
- 40:53Speaker 1: here's a baby. And I get it.
- 40:55Speaker 2: There's a lot of ways to bring life into this world,
- 40:58Speaker 2: but somebody's got to raise the baby. I mean, to
- 41:02Speaker 2: my knowledge, there isn't the United States Baby Raising Society.
- 41:08Speaker 1: The same goes for a business.
- 41:10Speaker 2: You have to, when you prime it, you have to
- 41:13Speaker 2: prime the work. You have to execute the work. You
- 41:17Speaker 2: have to project manage. You have to have kickoff calls.
- 41:19Speaker 1: You have to invoice. You have to quality control. This
- 41:23Speaker 1: is not.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Whatever you're thinking.
- 41:28Speaker 2: I can't even think of something that's so automated. This
- 41:30Speaker 2: is not a crock pot.
- 41:32Speaker 1: You know, it's apropos. I'm here in Michigan. Go Lions.
- 41:35Speaker 1: This is not a crock pot.
- 41:36Speaker 2: You don't just put the meat in.
- 41:38Speaker 1: And then this ain't a hot pot or whatever. This
- 41:41Speaker 1: is not that.
- 41:46Speaker 2: And especially when we have a small business administration that's saying,
- 41:52Speaker 2: you know. We want to raise the size standard. We
- 41:59Speaker 2: want $ 500 million. We want that to be small. That's
- 42:10Speaker 2: what small business is. Small business, they're doing 246, 252.
- 42:18Speaker 2: And then also, The SBA proposed changing the NAICS. So
- 42:28Speaker 2: you see how there's several and then it would just
- 42:30Speaker 2: be 5, 4, 1, 5. Several, 5, 4, 1, 6. That,
- 42:34Speaker 2: I don't care about that. But 157 million, stop. This
- 42:41Speaker 2: is just outrageous. This is outrageous. Right. And so you
- 42:49Speaker 2: are still responsible. And that to me is the beautiful
- 42:52Speaker 2: part of this. It's the beautiful part, but sometimes it
- 42:56Speaker 2: can be like, oh my gosh, you know?
- 43:00Speaker 1: Especially now.
- 43:02Speaker 2: It's key to take care of yourself. And that's why
- 43:06Speaker 2: this is so vital. And I'm so proud of you,
- 43:08Speaker 2: Get Money. I'm so, so proud of you for what
- 43:10Speaker 2: you did. That's why this is so key.
- 43:21Speaker 1: So actions.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Actions.
- 43:23Speaker 1: As part of this week. Because I go live every day.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Usually between 7 and 11. On Saturday I'll be early.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Because I'm in my brother's wedding. I'm the groom's woman.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Some days I go earlier than later. Depends if I'm traveling.
- 43:37Speaker 1: All of these things. But your action for this week. Please.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Have your voice heard on the federal registry. Because.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Because. $ 150 million is not a small business.
- 43:57Speaker 1: It's not. $ 157 million, that's not a small business. It's not.
- 44:07Speaker 2: So go to the site. I shared the link. There's
- 44:12Speaker 2: a green box.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Here, let me go back. What you're going to do
- 44:17Speaker 1: is click this, submit a public comment.
- 44:38Speaker 2: And you can actually, if you're interested, you can actually
- 44:43Speaker 2: see the comments.
- 44:47Speaker 1: That were posted.
- 44:51Speaker 2: So you can see and you can customize the dates.
- 44:55Speaker 2: You can see the last seven days. You know, if
- 45:09Speaker 2: you really want to go that far. I am not
- 45:24Speaker 2: referring to you. So I am not referring to you.
- 45:29Speaker 2: But I appreciate you explaining yourself, but I am not
- 45:33Speaker 2: talking about your email.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Mm-mm.
- 45:37Speaker 1: There was a guy.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Who's been emailing me for a few weeks talking about
- 45:43Speaker 2: he has something that.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Easily does whatever.
- 45:50Speaker 2: So I'm going to have that guy show me.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Because at the end of the day, what's really important is.
- 46:01Speaker 2: The things that are out there isn't getting you the
- 46:04Speaker 2: results that you want. That's why having a strategy is key.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Is your approach giving you the results that you want?
- 46:11Speaker 2: Is the AI thing, did it win.
- 46:13Speaker 1: You a contract?
- 46:15Speaker 2: Did the teaming partner follow through?
- 46:22Speaker 1: Is your logo working for you or is it causing confusion?
- 46:27Speaker 2: Should you pivot out of one NAICS into the next?
- 46:32Speaker 2: It's important to do these check-ins at least monthly. Meanwhile, simultaneously,
- 46:41Speaker 2: being aware of what's.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Going on in the small business space and the federal.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Government contracting space, which, because y'all, silver play button, only
- 46:50Speaker 2: government contracting channel out there was such.
- 46:56Speaker 1: This is a place to come for that kind of information.
- 47:01Speaker 2: So as I come, okay, that's amazing. That's amazing. That
- 47:08Speaker 2: is so amazing. Let me take another photo of this.
- 47:12Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 47:21Speaker 1: No, I love that you offered what you did. Yeah, no, no.
- 47:25Speaker 1: He said, he's like, I'm not selling robot vacuums.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Yeah, no, my comment. Listen, let me tell you this.
- 47:32Speaker 2: If my comment was in regards to you, I would
- 47:35Speaker 2: have said your name. My comment was in regards to
- 47:38Speaker 2: somebody who emailed me, and that is not.
- 47:40Speaker 1: I'm not going to bring their name up like that.
- 47:42Speaker 1: That's disrespectful. Okay. I love and adore you guys, and
- 47:49Speaker 1: thank you, Arthur, the author, for being here too.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Immediately following this video, if you are watching this video
- 47:59Speaker 2: before the 20th of November, Please comment that you do
- 48:11Speaker 2: not want them, if you have that belief, you may
- 48:15Speaker 2: not have that belief, but please comment on the proposed
- 48:19Speaker 2: size standards. Because if this goes through 3,600 employees for 513210,
- 48:26Speaker 2: software publishers is going to be small business.
- 48:30Speaker 1: The link is there. I'll have to add it after
- 48:35Speaker 1: this live is done.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Please comment if you want to see what other people
- 48:39Speaker 2: have commented and you can. If you're the type of
- 48:42Speaker 2: person you really want.
- 48:43Speaker 1: More information, you really want to be in the know, go.
- 48:46Speaker 2: On LinkedIn, especially if you follow me on LinkedIn, it'll
- 48:50Speaker 2: then connect you to.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Other people to follow.
- 48:52Speaker 2: There are people on Substack a little bit, like some
- 48:56Speaker 2: of the same people on LinkedIn are on Substack and
- 48:59Speaker 2: the people that I get a lot of good news
- 49:01Speaker 2: from are reputable people.
- 49:04Speaker 1: The go-to website is always.
- 49:08Speaker 2: YouTube, Kizzy Parks, but it may not be for you,
- 49:12Speaker 2: and that's okay, you know, just stay on top of things,
- 49:16Speaker 2: because one element of owning a business is you want
- 49:19Speaker 2: to minimize risk.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I never want surprises. You will win a contract before then.
- 49:25Speaker 1: There's no reason. I'm so... Just save yourself three times
- 49:28Speaker 1: a day.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Maybe three times a day.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Say it three times. Like, three times.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Like, I'm so happy and grateful now that I've won
- 49:36Speaker 2: a contract. I'm so happy and grateful now that I've
- 49:38Speaker 2: won a contract. So, like... I have, this is one
- 49:45Speaker 2: of my many stickies of my goals. I have goals
- 49:50Speaker 2: for YouTube views and I have goals.
- 49:52Speaker 1: For other things.
- 49:54Speaker 2: And once I become a testimony, I will share and
- 49:58Speaker 2: go into a lot of stuff with y'all.
