Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie and it's time for us to
• 0:03
Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always I ask
• 0:06
Speaker 1: that you join along with me in prayer. And you know,
• 0:11
Speaker 1: this morning I was kind of reflecting on God's exchange system,
• 0:16
Speaker 1: how he gives us joy from mourning, how he gives
• 0:22
Speaker 1: us strength in our weakness, you know, and I can
• 0:26
Speaker 1: kind of want to pray about that for us this morning.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: Oh gracious and almighty God, in the name of Jesus,
• 0:33
Speaker 1: we just want to thank you today for your divine
• 0:37
Speaker 1: exchange that you so freely give to us. God, you
• 0:41
Speaker 1: are the God who meets us in our brokenness, not
• 0:45
Speaker 1: to condemn us, but God to transform us. We come
• 0:49
Speaker 1: with heavy hearts, tears, stained cheeks, and hands too tired
• 0:53
Speaker 1: to even lift them up sometimes. But you come with
• 0:56
Speaker 1: healing in your wings. You are the God who trades
• 0:59
Speaker 1: as for beauty, who takes our mourning and gives us
• 1:03
Speaker 1: the oil of joy. Lord, you never asked us to
• 1:07
Speaker 1: be strong on our own. You never require perfection from us.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: You just asked us to bring what we have. And
• 1:15
Speaker 1: so today God, we bring you our sorrow. Thank you
• 1:18
Speaker 1: for giving us your joy. We bring you our weakness.
• 1:21
Speaker 1: Thank you God, that you pour your strength. We bring
• 1:24
Speaker 1: you our brokenness, and God, you breathe restoration into us
• 1:29
Speaker 1: and our situations. Thank you for your heavenly exchanged system,
• 1:34
Speaker 1: that we don't have to stay stuck in grief. We
• 1:37
Speaker 1: don't have to stay stuck in shame and fear, or
• 1:41
Speaker 1: even in failure. God, you promised in Isaiah sixty one
• 1:45
Speaker 1: that you would give us a garment of praise for
• 1:47
Speaker 1: the spirit of heaviness. Thank you God, you said that
• 1:50
Speaker 1: you would plant us like oaks of righteousness, strong rooted
• 1:54
Speaker 1: and unmovable even in seases of deep mourning. Your rise
• 1:59
Speaker 1: is like the dawn. Even when the night is long,
• 2:01
Speaker 1: your light still breaks through. God, you never leave us empty,
• 2:06
Speaker 1: and you never leave us alone. You give purpose to
• 2:10
Speaker 1: our pain and strength for our struggle. Your word says
• 2:14
Speaker 1: in Second Corinthia's twelve and nine, My grace, it's sufficient
• 2:18
Speaker 1: for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
• 2:23
Speaker 1: So Father, we declare today we don't have to have
• 2:26
Speaker 1: it all together. We don't have to hide our weariness.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: We can come to you undone. We can come to
• 2:32
Speaker 1: you overwhelmed. We can come to you God, just depleted,
• 2:36
Speaker 1: and you'll be more than enough, because when we can't,
• 2:41
Speaker 1: you can. When we fall short, you step in. When
• 2:44
Speaker 1: we're at the end of ourselves, we're just at the
• 2:47
Speaker 1: beginning of your power. So today, God, we surrender our morning.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: We lay down our disappointments. We release our grief, our guilt,
• 2:56
Speaker 1: and even God, our questions to you, and we receive
• 2:59
Speaker 1: your oil of gladness flowing over every dry place in
• 3:04
Speaker 1: our lives. God, we receive your peace washing over every
• 3:08
Speaker 1: anxious thought. We receive your strength rising up where we
• 3:12
Speaker 1: are weak. Lord, Thank you for being a God of
• 3:15
Speaker 1: holy exchanges. Thank you that you don't just fix what's
• 3:19
Speaker 1: broken in our lives, you make all things new. Thank
• 3:23
Speaker 1: you that when life tries to crush us, God, you
• 3:26
Speaker 1: press out an anointing. Thank You that our tears are
• 3:30
Speaker 1: not wasted, our pain is not pointless, and our weakness
• 3:34
Speaker 1: is not shameful because Your power is perfected right there.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: Who let every heart listening be lifted up right now
• 3:42
Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus. Let the oil of joy
• 3:45
Speaker 1: drip into the dry places. God, let morning turn into dance,
• 3:49
Speaker 1: and God, let us walk boldly in the strength you
• 3:52
Speaker 1: generously give to each one of us. God, we receive
• 3:56
Speaker 1: it right now in the name of Jesus our joy,
• 4:00
Speaker 1: our strength, and our Redeemer. Amen. Amen, Amen, hallelujah.
