Transcript
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: time for the 49ers rush podcast.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: And here's your host, John Chapman.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: What is going on, Faithful?
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's absolutely incredible to be with everybody today.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: And man, get a little double dose of the 40-idres rush today.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: We are going live right now.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: I just had too much to talk about in the news of Deshawn Stribbling, going to IR just came across the feed.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I wanted to jump on and just kind of break down exactly what that means when he can come back, when he can practice all those things,
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: What I are spot to returns are left because the 49ers are sitting here with a lot of players on entered reserve and you only get so many back.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you could completely exhaust all eight of your spots just by what you have on IR now.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now, well, all those players come off IR, I don't think so.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to talk about that.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: We've got some other roster moves and you know,
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: But to John Stripley's vacated 53 man roster spot, some more film notes and shout out to my man Robert G, big time listener, he sent me a bunch of notes that I just thought were good.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: And so I kind of tacked those onto my film review.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so we're gonna be going over some of Robert G's notes.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you, buddy.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, love all the Jed York emojis, those are awesome.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: Hashtag CC, we are live, we'll do it live.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: What is up?
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: Listening at work.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go big John.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: Chikarito appreciate you.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully work is going well.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: We won't tell the boss.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's what it is.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: The strip club is closed.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: The flight Hawaii is grounded.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: He says hashtag CC stands for the crying crew.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sucks, man.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: You injuries are a part of the game.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: 100% injury right in the NFL.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully you can
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: play through a lot of that.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think that this is really the worst news.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was kind of anticipated.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: It sucked that he got into twice in his first game that he played in.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: I hated seeing him get in carted off.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: didn't like that, but kind of got best news possible.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: It could have been in the killies.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: That would have been years done.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: I fully expect to shine strippling to be back.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think that it's a four to eight-week injury.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: The deltoid in the ankle, who knew that was there.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's the issue.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it's rough.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Brian.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: it's not the most positive headline out there, but it's where we are, and it's what we've got to talk about.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is episode 1,719 of the 49er source podcast.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: Have to take our executive producers, Williamson Claire, David Gil-Korea Robbins 49er source 365 in the countdown crew.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are awesome.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you guys so much.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, to Sean Stribleen is done for a month.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: The minimum amount of time that you can miss is four games.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: Meaning, to Sean Strippling cannot play again until week six.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: He asked me, miss week two, three, four, five.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: That is the minimum.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: He can come back week six against the commanders.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, maybe he'll be playing against Brandon and I, you, in the commanders, that is a joke.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, he's gonna be out for four to six, four to eight weeks.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: The deltoid ankle entry, not a common one.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: fractured that kind of whatever in the ankle, so like your time tables, I love that there are all of the, you know, physical therapists and surges and whatever on Twitter, we can get that information now.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a medical expert.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty good with common injuries and time tables and how to do that just because, you know, when you coach football
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, you're jogging out onto that field, you know, the game field more than you want to with injuries.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: If you kind of learn, okay, high ankle, spring, low ankle, spring, ACL test, MCL.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: What that looks like hip flexor, you know, coach track coach.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's so you learn a lot of these cast strains, hamstring strains.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: What the time table is.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: There's anomalies like George Kittle in credible that he is back already playing.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: And they got because you lost another tie didn't still not have still haven't heard much from Jake Tanches.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully get more clarity on that today.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers do practice stage 49ers will get their first official practice injury news today from Kyle Shanahan on time, not from the
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you look at the schedule for the 49ers, they have a week eight by that's kind of the circle time frame for Dishon Strippling.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's kind of where you're looking at.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: So could come back week six at home against the commanders, then you go to Atlanta.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be there for the 49ers for a stroke trip.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then you got the buy week we get that just seems to be like man.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably it.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: So he's only out four weeks.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: He'd be back at see Washington for for the Washington game at home six weeks seems to make the most sense.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: Comes back and you just play the second half of the season.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm anticipating.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now the good news.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: You added not one not two not three not four to five.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: You had so many wide receivers this all season that you're not really at a major deficit and.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: You still have Christian Kirk, who was starting to work out on the side field.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: He could come back.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's already designated to return.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: He can't practice till we three can't play till week five.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: But if Christian Kirk comes back, that gives you even more.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: Look, we've got room.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: We've got bodies.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: The wide receiver room is not a weakness.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I would argue now, even with Pierce all out, even with Stribbling out.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: This wide receiver group is better than any wide receiver group you had last year in the 2025 season that went 12 and 5.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: What you have left is better.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: It really, really is.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: My Kevin's is that much of a difference maker.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Debo to did his job.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's just an extra spice on the offensive special teams.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's always nice helps in the running back game The screen game shoot even got the off schedule touchdown on the scramble drill Demarcus Robinson's nice Somebody else got a step up besides those three though.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Cadero Hodge can get some snaps
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: Jacob Cowen can get some snaps, Jordan Walkins have no trust in whatsoever, but maybe he can deliver.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about that tonight with Larry.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: He loves that.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of the ones we disagree on.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see who's right.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see who's right.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, right here Brian, hoping Captain Kirk can do something when he comes back off IR.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to have the chance now.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to have the chance, Marcus, yeah, we'll be fine.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, Joe?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I miss you already, buddy.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: We're partying together, him and the wifey down in Australia, you have it a good time.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Michigan, Joe, well, he's back to the Philippines.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm back to the States, but always a good time and we're together, my friend.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: You are the freaking man.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: Hit that like button.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: No, we ain't messing with Tyre Killing, touching that one.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: Nope, nope, nope, nope.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, right here, kind of think they rush peer saws injury.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: Don't rush the strip.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's a fracture.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little bit different situation.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, don't rush it back.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the 49ers biggest issue.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Dustin Perry rushes everybody back from injury.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers led the NFL in re-entry rate over the last three years since Dustin Perry's been there with hamstrings,
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: in re-entries, re-entries to the same spot, that's, that's the one.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Cowin, if he could step up.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: That would be huge.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to play making ability.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, granday?
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, grandals, not coming back.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even put it all by the list.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll go over it.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go over it.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, monkey, appreciate you, man.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: Hashtag CC better late than never.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: Let me get some jeds and apology in the tardiness.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the, I love it.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: I hate that on.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: If you're watching on YouTube, you get the full emoji experience.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm on stream yard, which blends Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, you know, everything together.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't get to see.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get the full Jed York emoji experience, but I'm glad that somebody is experiencing it.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it makes me very, very happy.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Very, very happy.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Thoughts on bringing up grimes from the practice squad until Kirk comes off IR.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to, you know, Jordan Walkins was a healthy scratch last week.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think the first call to action would be let Walkins actually suit up.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: The problem with Jordan Walkins is you can't play anywhere on special teams.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's so bad.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: So you have somebody that's just a wide receiver back up only.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: And he can't block.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's the worst blocker on the team.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: Quits on routes.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's so many negatives, right?
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: There's just so many days, but if you throw him the ball, he can run routes.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: You could scheme him open.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's great on those drag crossers.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's his specialty.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's just such a narrowed specific skill set that doesn't.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a complete football player.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that would be the answer before you called up somebody like
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: have he said that if if I was the general manager, which think God, I'm not, I'm an idiot.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: I would sign Darius Slayton.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: Slayton somebody who can play all three wide receiver spots.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a lot of special teams, you know, he's out there on the streets.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: That is somebody I would bring in, not because I want him to start or anything along those lines.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: I would prefer Darius Slayton to get some work.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: because he can't back up X.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: He can't back up.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: See, he can't play the big slot roll.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: He does help on special teams.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: And he's relatively free right now.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I would do.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: I've, I've always been a dairy a slate and kind of fan.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that he's a pro bowl or ever been that good, but I love wide receivers that have.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: What do you call it?
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: Flexibility to play everywhere and can take the top off a defense.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's a deep threat He is that.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I would prefer to get somebody like him and you could trust he's a vet He's been around the NFL.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: I like crimes.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: I really do, but I I don't see that I don't I don't think that.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right here Yeah, Aaron, hopefully we figure this one out a little bit more.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: Why is there a dribbling update but no conscious update
- 11:22[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners are weird and maybe they don't want to put them on there.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they're okay just kind of saying, hey, maybe he's going to be back before four weeks.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: And this brings me to my next spot because I think that this is huge.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go over the IR designated to return guys and how many spots are left for the 49ers to bring back because they don't have much room.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: They are flying kind of through these eight return from IR spots.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: It added an alarming rate.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: Shocker the 49ers are injured all the time.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: Shocker.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: But each team gets eight return from IR spots plus two plus one more in the playoffs.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: But you have eight.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: They are to use two.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: Christian Kirk and Austin Pleasant, she had to designate them, so they didn't count against the initial 53.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: So now you're down to six.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: So Christian Kirk can come back week five.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Austin Pleasant can come back week five.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now, other players on IR, which there are a lot of them.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: Recapirsall not coming back.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Stribbling can come back week six.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Hobbs can come back week five.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: Brett Todd can come back week five.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: Sam, oh, can come back week five.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the only players on IR that I'm like, ooh, could come back.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we can peer saw.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's not coming back.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Alfred Collins is coming back.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Derek Forrest, no, Nick's a kill, no, Andrew Farmer, no, McCail, C'mara, no.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, you still got Isaac Garendo, no, McCail Williams, yes, right?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: And so you could feel your eight,
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right, Christian Kirk, Austin Pleasant, Striblean, Nate Hobbs, Sam O. Nick Martin, McKell Williams, Brett Toath, like that's your eight.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're done.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't think that they're going to do that because a lot of these guys will sit on IR even if they're healthy unless they have to have them right if you lose a couple interior offensive linemen okay cool let's bring Brett talk back you lose a couple corners okay cool let's bring Nate Hobbs back I think Hobbs and Toth
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: Those are guys even make Martin, you just keep them on IR.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: You don't even bring it back when they are healthy because we got so many linebackers.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: We have so many corners.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: We have so many volunteer offensive linemen.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to bring them back just because they're ready to go.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: But if you had to, then you can.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: The only players that I would say you have to have to bring back one,
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: Stribbling, Samo, Mikhail Williams.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's five.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: That leaves you three.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: We've made it through one week of the season.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers have completed one, 17th of the season.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: And we're talking five IR spots to return.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: I already used.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: You down to three.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, love this question, Z.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: Pub, NFI, IR to return at this point, all the exact same designation.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: So that doesn't change anything.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's part of the eight.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: So Michele Williams coming off the pup, counts the exact same as Simo coming off the IR.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: You get eight to return players, right?
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: So at this point, the only thing to NFI IR and pup designate is player bonuses and guarantees has nothing to do with rosters, has nothing to do with anything that we're concerned with.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so that's where that is.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: Coward Chippedo says, talking, coming back, Martin ain't coming back.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I mean, if we're using our wonderful powers of Aristotelian deduction, it doesn't seem like Jake Todd just as all I are yet.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I'm not saying that is the case.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it's not the case.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: I've said it's not announced yet.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: So as of this moment, recording 1036 on the 16th of September, Jake Todd just lost goto's set to return.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's just idling.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's going into hibernation.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: He shall return bigger.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: We can make him faster.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, we can make him stronger.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: That was just, does Hobbes even exist?
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it's kind of nice to have some of these guys.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like the fact that you have tough Hobbes Nick Martin,
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: just sit in there.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't cost you anything.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: Don't cost you anything.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: If something happens and you lose two linebackers, cool, we're bringing back Nick Morn.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: You lose two corners, cool, we bring back Nick Hobbs.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: You lose two linemen, cool, we bring back Brett tough.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: There's just an insurance policy that's there that you can cash it in if you have to.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: If you have to, Maria, doesn't McKell come in back from the pub, count against the number of players.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it does.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it does.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: The advantage to the pub is he didn't count against the 53.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's the advantage, right?
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing that you have to start camp on pub, stay on pub the whole time, then get put on pub at the 53.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: You never counted against a roster spot.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, he counts as one of the eight every player that comes back now counts against the eight if you put them on there.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: So you keep Jake Tonjes not on I are he don't count against the eight.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have two to three games where he's going to be one of your six healthy scratches.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's not healthy, but scratches from
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: 53 to the plane 47 right Jordan walkins was healthy scratch the Jordan James with the healthy scratch he's got to be on that inactive list even though he's not healthy he is scratched he doesn't suit up.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's what that's going to look like.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, put two counts against the eight man limit.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: They do John P. Wrong for once and let's go to and I hope I am wrong.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, does pop count against the eight man return from IR NFL.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see here.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to, uh, I hope I'm wrong.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Guy, I hope I'm wrong.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: I really do hope I'm wrong because that gives the 49ers whole another spot.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: Um,
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: No, a returning player from pup does not count against the designated eight jackpot.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: There is nothing I enjoy more than being wrong.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of my favorite things and I apologize.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: I love you guys, but that's what we're here for.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: We're here to learn and to grow together and thankfully I am growing today.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's another spot that you don't have to worry about.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: So that is huge.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: That is awesome.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I love it.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: Monkey Aristotelia deduction.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand words over three syllables, John.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: And apparently, I don't understand.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Pup rules to return.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, there we go.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I UK come with back promise.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I hate to tell you that.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm thankful for that.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: The
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: That is to mark his Robinson, who was bad ass man.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he was awesome.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: And he was awesome.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we've got more, which I'm pretty excited.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: More roster moves.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: Two of, I was kind of pretty pumped about at the tight end position.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: Going to be a little short term relief for Jake Tonchis right after this.

- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: So stay tuned for that.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: My ad in a Thursday teaser, then we'll do the full slate of bets of Friday Saturdayish.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: So stay tuned for that.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's over on the 49ers rush.com in our Patreon channel.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: Jerry Rice here in the puff.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: We went six of nine last week.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully keep extending our positives or Tony Quinn.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: Betty and strategy has worked for shoot, man.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: We've done really, really well.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: So we're just going to keep kind of rolling with those.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to kind of roll with those.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: So a couple of new transactions.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: Braden Willis gets promoted to the 53-man roster, which I know a lot of people don't like Braden Willis.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: He was awesome at camp.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: He was awesome in the preseason.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Probably had the play of training camp.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: This kind of Odael Beckham-esque over the shoulder one-handed grab for, you know, 25 plus yards was incredible.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody went nuts.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: You watch the preseason games, which we broke down the tape.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: Brayton Willis blocking everywhere to spring all of the big runs for Jordan James for Caitlin Black like every big run Brayton Willis was to be found somewhere special teams.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: Brayton Willis has been a stud since he's been here and that field.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: So like I think that it is a positive that you had that in house.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: You were able to sneak him by get him back on the practice quad.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's elevated as that number three spot because his kiddo
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: When will kiddo be on a full, you know, slate of snaps played just over 30 snaps went out there a lot does he go up to 40.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if that's the case in the 49ers are doing so much 12 and 22 personnel to tightens on the field.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Braden Willis is set to get, you know, kind of.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: that 10 to 15 steps, you know, and plus special teams, that's not a bad thing by any stretch.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Luke Farrell played 46 snaps.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see here, where's our boy George kiddo played 30 snaps.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: Jake Ton just played eight, but he got injured kind of early.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: right after they're just showing up and bringing out a separate card, it was so fast behind, but Braden will listen to somebody that you can give 10 to 12 snaps of game to because he's such an efficient blocker, it could get done what needs to be done.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's so good in the run game.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: He had playing against the dolphins.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: You're not expecting this to be a close game.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's the largest spread of the week, 12 and a half point favorites the 49ers, the largest in the NFL for this week's slate.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to play and then on top of that, they had a lot of players in for try out and they signed tight in Jack Stoll.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: I tweeted out, I'd signed Larry, Larry Ogonshobe, the veteran, 30 plus year old defensive lineman and Jack Stoll.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: I like Jack Stoll.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: Plox, very, very hard.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Special teamer has got played a little bit in the NFL, nothing that's going to move the needle.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's a long term.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: viable option.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: But I want physicality and players that fit at worst jackstool jackstool can help on special teams at worst.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of what you're looking at there.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: It kind of shocked that it didn't bring back Hayden Ruchia would have liked that one as well.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll take that for what it will for what it is.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see here right here.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: Jacob, you placed as many players as you want on IR, but only eight of them can come off that is correct.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, look at the Tories are resident tight in fullback expert, Braden Willis season loading.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: Vadarian low.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Vadarian low did not go on.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: I are.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's just sitting in the wings.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: So he is practicing.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: He is not on I are.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: He is not on pup.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: He is not on any of those
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, so he's on there.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's out there, right here in the story.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: A bump for Braden, now put him in dash motion.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't it a contract year for Braden Wolves?
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he got waived and cut.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so let me see here.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: Where's the practice squad?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: Let's pull up his contract.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's on a one year deal.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: What is his,
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's been with the team for four years.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: So he's been on a contract here because he's been cut waived.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: When you're on the practice squad, your contract kind of reverts because you don't keep your rookie deal.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's been cut so many times.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: It has been terminated so many times.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's had, let's see, or one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine different contracts with the 49ers.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: His current deal is basically nothing.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: it's basically nothing.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's four hundred and eleven thousand dollars.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now he should get I think he gets a lot more money.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: Now that he's on the 53.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: So this would be the next contract for him.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, as of right now, Jake Tondjes did not go to IR.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: So that is not one of the spots that is being used to Sean Stribling did.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: They signprayed in Willis to the 53 man.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: Jack stole to the
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: to the 53, not a lot of changes.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: Can they all watch, been around?
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Braden Willis been with the Niners for four years.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're kind of all right.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: You're not really changing anything because of this personal stuff.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you really, really didn't.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Jackson, the chat, what's up?
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, John, faithful, have a great show.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: We are having a good show.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm having a better show now that I see you right here.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, nine contracts in four years, but that's, man, but this is again,
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine you're a back end of the roster player.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, look at the tell that is, Braden Willis.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: Dude was awful as first year.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: He was drafted behind Camlott to the same draft and you remember I told everybody.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, Braden Willis is going to be here long after Camlott who's gone.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: That was a horrible pick.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't fit the scheme.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's not tough.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's not physical, whatever else.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what happened.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm wrong a lot.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: I was right about that.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: But Brandon Willis, like, hey, guess what, you're not ready.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: You've got a way to go, but you're a locker room guy.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: You played multiple spots, and you're good on special teams.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: We want to keep you around.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what?
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: If we get the chance, we'll elevate you and get you some extra money.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: If somebody wants to take you from us, they can.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: And this tight-in renaissance that is taking place, Brady and Willis has a wonderful opportunity ahead of them.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Because when Jake Torn just does come back, which is not on IARP whenever he's healthy and suits out, probably going to cut and wave, Brady and Willis again, maybe he puts enough good tape on that.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: He gets claimed elsewhere, gets a contract like, this is a win, win, win, win.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: He gets this try out and he gets put up quality tape like the 49ers take care of the practice quad players if I was anybody You know, I'm not a agent, but if I was in the ear of any player As an undrafted free agent or whatever else do if you can get on the nine or organization They take care of their people.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: They really do the promoting You know Sebastian Valdez only to have him be a healthy scratch multiple times last year do that's extra caching his pocket
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: They take care of their people.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's a shenna hand loyalty program.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in it,
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: and you're in it, man.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what's up, Ricardo?
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Greetings from the 509.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure where the 509 is off the top of my head.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I should know that one.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: If somebody could help me out, what's up, man?
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you guys.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are awesome.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, here we go.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: LX, and your boy productions.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go, what's up, man?
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now, let's get to a couple other, man, I got a lot of notes.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: My man, Robert G, he sent me some notes I liked just on the game.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: and men, you know, going through the tape, which the fourth quarter, which I've broke down this morning, that is processing.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: So when this live show is over, I'll be able to post that on our Patreon and our Twitter.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: So all four quarters, every offense, every defense, every special teams play, it's all going to be broken down for you.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I keep just a running track of notes as well, but Robston over some notes.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: I thought they were awesome.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, just some things that maybe I didn't pay attention to that I wanted to share.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to Rob in his recap.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that you still have George Kid always not back 100% yet, the fact that you have Christian McCaffrey who's going to get some touchdown reception wise, the fact that you have Jake Tonjus, who doesn't appear to be going on IR, so it does not appear that a season is over.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: That dude's a touchdown machine.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: Those are going to come, but the game plan can be altered in a way, do we're going wide receiver heavy?
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: We're going tight in heavy.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're going back heavy.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: We're you can kind of move up and flow with what the defenses are presenting and three different touchdowns three different wide receivers I love it you stick it with Brock party he talked about Brock party's legs multiple first down scrambles that drive in the third quarter which is so bad ass Mike Evans got pissed off Mike Evans is running a corner route on the left side of the offense wide open.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: but there's pressure, not really pressure, but Brock pretty had to step up in the pocket and drop his eyes.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: And then he's like screw it, I'm just taking off.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: So he takes off, he gets like 18 yards, which is awesome.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Evans is pissed, walking back to the sideline.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: That dude was so wide open.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: And you love that, it means so much.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: So Mike Evans at this point in this career, but he was wide open.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Probably would've been a 30 yard plus, probably would've been, you know, his corner route.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I doubt it would've been, you know, a break free touchdown.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: But Brock pretty gets 18 yards and Mike Evans is pissed.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: You see it on the silent tape.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really do, but Brock parties legs the scrambling.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Whether it's third and short or fourth and short, you know, quarterback sneaks to pick up the first or scrambling off script or that Debo touchdown where you get off page.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: What is the difference?
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we go through the draft.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: Prospect breakdown over and over again and like these elite quarterbacks all can he make plays off schedule Brock party can make plays off schedule with the best in the NFL is he Lamar Jackson?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, is he Patrick at home?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, he ain't that far behind Yeah, you look at the and man.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: I wish I had this pulled up Let's see here.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go to uh, we'll go to AI
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: I am curious to see where Brock pretty fits just on the rushing totals for quarterbacks because the dude was just moving.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: The dude was just moving and the amount of first downs and just getting the offense in a situation.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: He was 10.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: He had five rushes for 29 yards.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: He was 10.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: Caleb Williams first was 65 Jackson Dart 54 Drake May 47.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: He had the fewest rush attempts of anybody in the top 10, but 29.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: 29 rush yards.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: His over under was 17 and a half.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: He broke it by 10.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little hesitant though to jump in on the Brock party over rushing yards because you're not calling those plays.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, kind of do with that.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: What you will do with that.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: What you will, um, Christian be caffering the second half.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: Man, just perfection.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Just came out with a purpose.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: He had this one run where you ran right up the middle, makes contact with the defender spins, bolt hands on the ball, flips his hips, knees high on the spin move, just oof.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: It was just like, do girls say ours would be proud?
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: It just looked pleasing.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: It was just like, yeah, that's the agility drills.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's the ladder drills.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: CMC just looks different.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: Then really what we've seen the past two years, you know, you go to 2024, didn't play much at all.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: That was when the injuries happened.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't right.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: Last year,
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: shoot 2000 yards unbelievable, but from like an explosive, I test, wasn't right, CMC looks right right now.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: And if you can keep his touches down, I mean, shoot, he didn't even leave the team in carries.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's amazing.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't know, man.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: Christopher Caffrey just looks
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: between the tackles and the trenches.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's there to benefit Brock Perti.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, Christian McCaffrey.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: I just think, oh, look so freaking good, dude.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: Um, now the ramps did run the ball well up the middle.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: That is a good certain CJ West looked awful all throughout tape.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: Grayson Hallton looked really bad versus the run.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: James Thompson Jr. looked very bad versus run.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: But those three guys, they're all supposed to be past Rush guys, maybe not CJ West.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like Grayson Hallton and James Thompson Jr. should be past Rush guys only.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: But you can't do that because all the injuries you've had at the defensive tackle position.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do it.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: So sorry, past Rush specialist defensive tackles.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: CJ West not good at it, Grayson Halton not good at it, James Thompson Jr. not good at it.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: And when's that going to change?
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there are so many third downs, and even like third and short, where you're kicking key on white inside to tackle because he's a little better against the run, but like he's like, you're bandating this issue
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: In the middle, now, Grace and Halton looked amazing verse the past.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: James Thompson Jr. looked functional against the past.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: CJ West, a lot of effort, not where he is, coming back from the injury.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: This is exactly the same thing that happened to him last year.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Takes time.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: CJ West's gonna take time.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: But if it's play can do what it did last year, what's ascending week by week, that is good.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: You're you're just light at the defense attack position.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: You can't trade right now.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm seeing all these trade rumors and scenarios.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: No team in the NFL is selling.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody is.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: Not week 2, not even week 4.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: You got to wait till week 6, week 7, week 8, until teams are selling.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you call a team and you're like, okay, Colts, you're a mess.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: We want to trade for DeForce Buckner.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Would be amazing.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm all for it.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: You have to pay whatever DeForce Buckner's price is.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: You have to add a super premium on top.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: because Chris Ballard is GM for his job.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: If I trade away the force buttoner, I'm fired.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: Why would I trade him to you?
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: If I trade him away, I am fired.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: I lose my job.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: My income, I have to move my family.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'm not going to trade to force buttoner to you.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to wait for teams like the cults or like whomever to not play well and have a two and five record before they're willing to trade.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody is.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now you could call and have conversations, hey, depending on how things go, we're interested in player X, player Y, whatever.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: But right now, nobody is.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know what?
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: We want to sell some of our starters.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: We too.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody thinks they have hope.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's got hope.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right now.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so like you've got to be careful with this idea of oh, why don't they just go trade for Quentin Nelson why don't they just go trade for to force Buckner why don't you shoot just go get prime time Michael Jordan while you're at it.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's not there it's just not there.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not there.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: this is in my notes big time speaking of grace and rookies do players get told about these terrible spin moves when rushing you've pointed out so many times that guys like grace and halt the spinning completely killing their rep in the fourth quarter Ramello height he had a couple positive plays which which was awesome because a lot of his tape was awful I would say 75% of the reps from Ramello height were really bad
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: He did have some good ones though, but man, he got pancake four or five times on that stupid spin move.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: He rushes up, feel doesn't win, stop spins inside and the guard's just waiting on them.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm glad he's wearing a guardian cap because that dude would have had three concussions.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is getting body WWE style, Ramello height, and he just keeps going back to it.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's stupid.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the flip side of that is Nick Bosa had three spin moves that worked in the run game where he sets the outside edge.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: The running backs coming at him says, up, Nick Bosa's there, I'm cutting inside.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Bosa spins to the inside gap to see gap.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: It makes the tackle two for tackle for loss one for like one in our game.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: Ramele, how you might Nick Bosa, man?
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why can I, he's doing it?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, he's,
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's different than you, but the Nick boasts of spin moves off the ACL kind of bad ass if I'm going to be honest with you.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: It was kind of awesome.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: Remelio height, no bro.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: Fundamentals, learn it quick turning your back to the ball.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: But there is some positive day.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: I will say after finishing my fourth quarter take, there were probably two to three plays where I was like, oh, that's not bad for Mermelo.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's a quality rep.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna put that in the plus category.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't feel that way through the first second, third quarter very much, maybe once, but like two to three of those in the fourth quarter.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: So, but yeah, yeah, got to quit doing that team of spin.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's just getting,
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all right.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: What's the significance could they have in the new guy, McKinley Jackson?
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's a big defensive tackle.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's a run stuffer.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking about a guy that is 62340.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: So you put him next to a Grayson Hall and he outweighs him by 25 pounds.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: He put him next to CJ West.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: He outweighs him by 35 pounds.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got a little bit more of an anchor.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be a two down player only and might even be a healthy scratch
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure you're going to put them out there, but you need anchor ability against double teams, the duo, which the 49ers see more than anybody, because they play so many life boxes.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we need another defensive end, Michele Williams, Samo will return, but yeah, that's where it is.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: Right here, Maria, appreciate you so much.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Around week seven is when I think John makes his big move.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: free agency before the draft at the trade deadline.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: And it is coming upon us.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just clone Charles Ailey.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: I would love to get Buckner back on there.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he's so awesome, dude.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right here, Maria, my tripping or to Brindle actually have a good game.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: I would put Jake Brindle's game as a positive for Jake Brindle.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: Not a good
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: He still had like this one play.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: It was in the fourth quarter where he tripped over nothing.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: Touched no one.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: His guy had a tackle for loss.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: There were some miss blocks.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: There were some really bad body language.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I could put his six worst plays together and put that out on social media.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: It get 100,000 views.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: I could put his six best plays out there and you're like, they can all right, Jake Bindle's playing well.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: So it was the full Jake Bindle experience.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was the full Jake Bendo experience had a lot of goofs, but had a lot of positives his positives came early and he got worse and worse as the game went on his first quarter was solid like the first quarter I'm watching like two Jake Bendo might be having his best like this could be his best year ever second quarter is like, okay, that's pretty good third quarter was like up there we go and then fourth quarter was like, yeah, there are the hilarious
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: what the hell are you doing cartwheels on the field like what are you doing but if you told me you were going to get that game.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: The journey that is Jake Brindle through week one every single game this year I take it because I've seen so much Jake Brindle he didn't ruin a lot of plays probably ruin three out of 61 by himself probably ruin three.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: So you're getting what you pay for.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: You are paying subpar center money below average center money.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what you're getting.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say you're getting average and there were some positives.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: There were some positives.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: Malik Mustafa.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: Mustafa.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, I thought his tackling was awesome.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: Not only on special teams, but when the Rams quit, the Rams quit first, Rams quit first.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: When they quit the fourth quarter, Malik Mustafa came in.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: Dude was good.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because what's Malik's issue, the miss tackles, the no ball skills like that that's the issue.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: So there were he had like three tackles in a span of like five plays major awesome wrap up tackles.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, okay, if Malik can do this, dude, I would I'm all for making the switch right now.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: To Jair Brown to Malik and Stoffa, Marky Seagulls him by the way.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: And Jair Brown, I thought, like, had good.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: He got worse and worse.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: He had another one of his flying Dutchmen plays where he tucks his arms like the human bullet and just dives and doesn't even hit anybody, just huge mistackle, led the team and mistackles.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, I thought Jaiya Brown had a much worse game after going through the tape than I did on initial feeling.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown sucks, man.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm over, I am completely over that experience.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: Now there were two plays where he made a perfect read
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: reaction and Stafford went off of his read.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: So it wasn't all bad, but I just have so much PTSD and I just can't handle soft players.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like he goes and he lifts on a play and then the very next play, he knocks a player out going over the middle and enters whatever that month, month, month, or whatever his name is at wednesday or so like the enigma
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm tired of it, man.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: I want consistency and he ain't it.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: It just, he ain't it, man.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just completely done with that guy.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: Jack Jones is a beast.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: Only played eight snaps, made his presence felt.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, love the two deep, safety half.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: At half time, they came out and swapped up the defense.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: The ram's going make all their adjustments come out and it's a completely different defense.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers have not shown since Kyle Shanahan's been here.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was awesome.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: These two deep safeties and just hey corners.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: It looks kind of like a quarters, but it's not quarters because they're sitting and so it's just a too deep zone.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to stop the run up front.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're down 20 points.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_01]: So like you're really going to keep running it.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams did cool.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: Chew up the clock on your own time.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: We don't mind.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: I loved the adjustment.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: Loved it.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: I allowed your corners to be more aggressive on in breakers, which dude, up to the stout, he's for real.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's the best corner on the team.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: Up to the stout is the best.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: Defensive back on the team and that's saying a lot not knock a debo not knocking right out of green Upton status the most consistent player in that secondary on a snap by snap it doesn't make mistakes Playmaker Energy communication film instincts aggression Upton stout is the best defense back on this team.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: He is oh Marky Seagull had a good game love that
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: Man, they're even a couple of, cover zero place where you're blitzing so many guys, everybody else, man, man on the back side.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: Steve Wilkes somewhere like, hey, what the hell?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: I did that and I got fired.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's a top three defense.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: I got fired.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: Man, shit a hand loyalty program.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Reemorse, one of his best friends.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's okay, where he, you go ahead.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: Now the timing when you do it, all those different things, but do, where he Morris, he, he, man, I really, really enjoyed the game that he put up.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then there was this dude, I posted this on social media.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I apologize for the audio listeners.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: This is just a still shot.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: This was a run in the third quarter to Christian McAfrey.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think it gained nine yards on this play.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: But you talk about hat on hat blocking.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: You have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and juices defenders coming off screen.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: You have seven, 49ers, players blocking, seven, ramps players perfectly, one on one across the board.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like there were so many just flawless execution consistently
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: consistently from the 49ers offense, defense and special teams.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: But I just thought this play was just like, and Debo was blocking his ass off several times all game.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, who is this guy?
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: Who is this guy?
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: I remember Debo quitting blocking after that big contract and it pissed me the hell off of I remember bread and I you quit blocking after his huge contract and it pissed me off.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: I remember Joanne Jennings quit blocking whenever he was in that contract negotiation whatever.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: It pissed me off.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: Depot blocked very, very well consistently.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-oh, here we go.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: We are getting live updates and I don't think they're good updates.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers announced Kadero Hodge promotion, 50, they placed Jake Togis on injured reserve.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: Ah!
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: I hate that.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: would seem to be a likely move in the coming days has met me, ocho, ha, well, the 49ers official, just tweeted out, why is they disagree, no, what's happened in here?
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now I am on the 49ers official, whatever, conscious, but, but, but, but, conscious is officially on the IR per the 49ers.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: It does not say anything about our man.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: to Sean Strivley.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, God, Libyan, how bad are the kiddie news out?
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: That is just crazy.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: Who went with the Sean Strivley into IR news?
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: It probably will happen, but you know, you could put them on IR before this next game at any point.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter for the return.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: You have to miss four games.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: So, that is a matter.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: So, now, consciousness
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: the white receiver with the broken ankle.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: Whew.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: That is uh, somebody.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody, uh, somebody messed up, man.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's a, it, I don't know.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: And communications just so got awful.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like how, how does to Sean Strippling going on and I are get out if he's not going on, I are.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: Things that make you go, hmmm, so strictly not officially on there, Jake Tonchez is, we'll see what it is.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: Shepter said, Strippling is going on IR.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: And that's another thing, too.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: With Jed York and Prague, Marante out, like those are the guys that always talk to the insiders.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: That that's what they did.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: That Jen had to be a part of it.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Jen's out in trailer parks.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, inside or something else out there.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: And Marante's not a part of it.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: not a bad way.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_01]: Not a bad way.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: Matt, thanks for the super chat dude.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, man?
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: Happy belated birthday, John.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Matt.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: You are awesome.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: Just slanting the D line to feet duo.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: Can you talk about this schematic ways to defeat duo other than just having tackles in there with more cake.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: it can.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: So what it does is it changes the aiming point.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: The problem with the 49ers defensive philosophy is this 425.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: We can talk about five man fronts and you can talk about whatever else.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: But you double team the defensive tackles at the point of contact, both of them.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it's called duo.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: Some people call it inside zone and whatever else.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_01]: For whatever purpose we call it duo as
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: you've got to anchor better and it's funny because Kevin given this is the smallest defense of tackle on the 49ers roster, he's the best against the double team.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's the smallest.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: You got to anchor, drop your knee, and we would teach this technique continuously.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm the defensive tackle, I'm lined up in a three-shade.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: That means I'm on the inside shoulder of the guard, okay?
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: That is my striking point.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_01]: We would have number jerseys, like all over the number.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so we're teaching your firing point is breastplate and armpit, right?
- 51:19[SPEAKER_01]: that you're lined up on.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's where you're lining up, breastplate and armpit.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's where your hands are going.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: If you fill the double team, you grab that clock and you twist your palms in.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: You literally grab clock, you twist your arms in, you pull him into you and you take a knee.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: you get down.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so it doesn't matter, you're not going to make the play.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_01]: If you're getting double team, there's a defensive tackle.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: But if you anchor and you pull him into you, that means he can't get to the back or behind you, man, you create such a huge robot.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin given this is one of the best in the NFL to do it.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is you just so bad at everything else.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Um, like I wanted Kevin given us to be promoted and play because of this very reason.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so the slanting of the defensive line can work.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's so what you're doing is both your defensive tackles, but the Niners don't traditionally do both defensive tackles that way.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: They do the rider the defensive side of the line.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: So, you call, give it a late call.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: The left side defensive end and the left side defensive tackle will line up in a three technique and a five or a seven that really matter, they will cross face, right?
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: So the left defensive tackle is in the B gap, the three technique will cross the face of the guard and shoot the A gap.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: The lefty fits event will line up outside the admin of the line of scrimmage, whether it's a tackle five technique tied in seven, he'll cross the face of the tight end or the tackle and shoot that be gap.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: The linebacker scrapes over an automatic exchange drill.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: It can work.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: You have to guess correctly.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: into the duo, if you do that, so like if the, if you're running a late call, meaning the left defensive in the left tackle or crossing face, right?
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: And they run it to the offences left side or the defensive right side, because your back or scraping left automatically, now your back side cut off is in trouble.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: So it can work really, really well, but if that play side defensive tackle gets washed out or pushed back,
- 53:31[SPEAKER_01]: you're given a two-way go to the running back and they can get bad.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: So on the chalkboard, when you're writing and prescribing this play up, as a defensive coach, which I was predominantly, you're sitting here saying, like, dude, if we call this late call and they run it that way, and that play side defensive tackle doesn't win, this could be a house call, because that
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: there's not a backer there.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's the safety only.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: So you do that some and they do that some and you can rotate down the safety, bring the nickel in.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: There's different formations where you have kind of a bailout.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: to that and and you saw that with Ramello height.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: I sorry, with, um, Ricky Morris, like slanting.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm losing my voice.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_01]: Good Lord.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: I've got to get back to in season podcasting.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: Haha, it is, it is a little different and I'm not going to lie, but, um, yeah, oh, what's up, Michael?
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: Pickle, what's up, man?
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: Glad to see you, brother.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_01]: Good friend.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: John, they just not want to put them on IR.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't use up all your return spots.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: The timetables important, but with the Sean Strippling of the broken whatever, I think he's going to go on IR, just not yet.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they don't know who they're going to promote.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: She and a hand does weird stuff, man.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: Shen Han does weird stuff.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, look at this.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: Bride.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: He says, John, great to meet you at the trip in Melbourne.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: So cool to see so many faithful fans.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: If that's the only 49er game I see, I'm gonna die happy man.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks again, Brandon, to Brandon.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're the freaking man.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: I made this little flyer yesterday and we put this out on all of our social media, the 49ers rush road trip.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: We've got five road trips left this year, plus a play off, and maybe Arizona, but not yet.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_01]: So join us.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: If you are going to any of these way games, Seattle, Atlanta, Dallas, Mexico City, Los Angeles, tickets are up right now, 49ers rushroadtrip.com.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: Go check us out, man.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot say thank you enough, Brendan for just getting to know you and talking to you, man.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are the best, man.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm so thankful just to be able to get to know people like my man.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, dude?
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: David Gill in the house.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: Happy belated to the go of the 49ers rush community.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, man.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: How to get rid of stress.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, Captain?
- 56:08[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, man?
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: Mithori, is, do you think more is going to use Mikael on a stunt when he comes back?
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there were so many stunts.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: Not a lot of blitz rate at about 19%, which kind of bottom 10 to the NFL blitz rate bringing five or more, stunts galore.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: And so whenever the game got out of control, it was just all cross stunts all over the place.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now you can do that with Stafford because he can't move.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_01]: playing this week with Malik Willis, a little bit different, right?
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's a mobile quarterback.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_01]: You got to be a little bit more intentional.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I expect more blitzes, less stunts this week than what we saw last week.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't give you a percentage of how many plays there were stunts.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_01]: Playing against a mobile quarterback versus a statue, a little bit different.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you, man.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_01]: I will stick on this one who Funga should have been resigned.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: Our safeties are not good now.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think Seagulls very good.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: He played a very good game.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have to see little too early to say he's very good, but that was a very good game.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_01]: If Seagull played that way, the entire season he's a proble level safety.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: He was that good.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's one game, but again, the idea, okay, if we replicate this performance, you've got one good safety.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown is not good.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: Jaiya Brown showed he's continually not good.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, me.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll see what happens there.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are awesome.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: I got a jump out of here.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: I got a show tonight with Larry.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: 715, join us Pacific time.
