- 1:06Speaker 1: Let's kick off our discussion of Mistletoe Murders this week
- 1:09Speaker 1: with a synopsis of episodes three and four. The art
- 1:13Speaker 1: world comes to Fletcher's Grove when Sam's old partner is
- 1:16Speaker 1: murdered guarding a high profile painting. Emily teaches Sam to
- 1:20Speaker 1: sleuth off the grid, and we uncover more of Emily's past.
- 1:24Speaker 1: In part two, Emily and Sam unravel a complicated web
- 1:27Speaker 1: of lies surrounding the mystery painting, discovering the links people
- 1:32Speaker 1: will go to to keep secrets, including Emily's. Violet crafts
- 1:36Speaker 1: a special present, but Ken Kupris is the creator and
- 1:42Speaker 1: writer of Mistletoe Murders. All of our regulars return Sarah Drew,
- 1:46Speaker 1: Peter Mooney, Sierra, Marilyn Reiley, Gene Eune, Laura, Laura and Mercy,
- 1:53Speaker 1: Kylie Evans and David Hewlett. Also, Quincy Kirkwood appears as
- 1:57Speaker 1: young Emily Slash, Grace Evan haw Whistler as young Aaron,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and Colton Stewart as Violet's boyfriend Kyle. Catherine Burrell appears
- 2:06Speaker 1: as Piper. Catherine was last sen on Hallmark in last
- 2:09Speaker 1: year's A Nineties Christmas. She will co star with Ali
- 2:13Speaker 1: Lieber in the upcoming The Christmas Baby. Tony Napo plays
- 2:16Speaker 1: Sam's old partner Reed. Tony appeared on Hallmark in last
- 2:19Speaker 1: year's Trading Up Christmas. He's voiced two different characters on
- 2:22Speaker 1: the Audible podcast series. Nikki Kiro plays Mora Wells with
- 2:26Speaker 1: just twelve acting credits, this is her first Hallmark project.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Julius Cho plays art influencer Harrison. Julius has fifty six
- 2:33Speaker 1: acting credits with a ton of voice work in several
- 2:36Speaker 1: different animated shows. He was also in the series Children
- 2:39Speaker 1: Ruin Everything, a series that a lot of Mistletoe murders
- 2:43Speaker 1: cast and crew have had a hand in. Yeah, there's
- 2:45Speaker 1: a lot of crossover there. Paulino Nunez plays Detective Mike Meadows.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Paulino has one hundred and eighty nine acting credits with
- 2:53Speaker 1: appearances and a ton of stuff. Though this isn't his
- 2:56Speaker 1: first role on Hallmark. He was in the twenty nineteen
- 2:58Speaker 1: movie Double Holiday. Jake Epstein is back as Noah. Jake
- 3:03Speaker 1: has sixty seven acting credits and was last seen in
- 3:05Speaker 1: the Hearts Around the Table movie collection. Worth noting, Jake
- 3:09Speaker 1: also appeared in nearly one hundred episodes of Degrassi The
- 3:13Speaker 1: Next Generation. It's another one of those shows where there's
- 3:16Speaker 1: like writer and actor crossover. Yeah Yeah. Special guest star
- 3:21Speaker 1: appearing briefly at the end of episode four is Aaron
- 3:24Speaker 1: Ashmore as adult Aaron. Aaron has a lengthy resume, including
- 3:28Speaker 1: stints on Lock and Mead, sky Met and as Gil
- 3:31Speaker 1: on Jenny and Georgia. Part one was written by Jesse Gabe.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Jesse has written for shows like Being Erica, The Spencer Sisters,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and Working Moms Part two was written by Shelly Scarrow.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Shelley wrote the final two episodes from season one, as
- 3:45Speaker 1: well as a few episodes from the Audible series. Other
- 3:48Speaker 1: projects have been being Erica and Degrassi. The Next Generation
- 3:52Speaker 1: Part one and two was directed by James jen James
- 3:56Speaker 1: has forty two directing credits. He's worked on Jenny and Georgia,
- 3:58Speaker 1: The Good Doctor, and Wild Cards. He is also tapped
- 4:02Speaker 1: to direct the reboot of Private Eyes West Coast I
- 4:05Speaker 1: Do you Believe? He also directed on the original Private
- 4:08Speaker 1: Eyes as well. He did, Well, let's take a quick
- 4:10Speaker 1: break and we're going to come right back with our
- 4:11Speaker 1: first impressions of Mistletoe Murders The IDEs of December. Hey, Wendy,
- 4:23Speaker 1: what was your first impression of Mistletoe Murders? Season two,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Episodes three and four. Violets, pre dance, panic Face, give
- 4:34Speaker 1: this girl an emmy. My first impression is in an
- 4:39Speaker 1: episode with many shocking reveals, none was more surprising than
- 4:43Speaker 1: Brook's portrait. Oh my god, I had to like, I
- 4:48Speaker 1: was embarrassed, like looking at it, like, I'm like, I
- 4:49Speaker 1: don't want to stay too long. Really, we need to
- 4:53Speaker 1: talk about it, We need about it. Oh my goodness. Well,
- 4:58Speaker 1: let's get into what we liked about these this episode pair.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I have a long list of likes me too. First,
- 5:06Speaker 1: for me, if I can say, and I said it
- 5:08Speaker 1: last week too, the stories are really good. The mystery stories,
- 5:12Speaker 1: I think are really really good. This is a really
- 5:16Speaker 1: great layered mystery that tired ties personal motives to the case.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Ooh nice. So we have like the art influencer Harrison,
- 5:26Speaker 1: who has like a personal motive to get the scoop right.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Then we have Moira's motives who she to be something
- 5:35Speaker 1: she wasn't. And then we have detective Mike who's out
- 5:39Speaker 1: for the money, and Sam is motivated to solve it. Yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 1: he feels like read saved his life quite literally. Right.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I really like the mystery too, And for me, we
- 5:50Speaker 1: are right at capacity in terms of how packed these
- 5:53Speaker 1: episodes can be with information. We could very easily have
- 5:57Speaker 1: gone over the edge here in terms of perhaps throwing
- 6:00Speaker 1: too much at us. We don't, but we get the
- 6:03Speaker 1: overlapping storylines right out of the gate. It's a story
- 6:06Speaker 1: that's told very tightly. The pacing is fast, but it's
- 6:09Speaker 1: in a way that keeps the energy up. And so
- 6:12Speaker 1: while sometimes I am almost confused, I'm like, wait, what's
- 6:15Speaker 1: happening here? I was never bored, never, and I often
- 6:20Speaker 1: get bored on the mystery movies because it's like either
- 6:22Speaker 1: too much or like too complicated. And I do feel
- 6:28Speaker 1: this was a complicated mystery, yes, but the energy is
- 6:32Speaker 1: there all the time, like you said. And I thought
- 6:36Speaker 1: Episode three, part one sets up episode two perfectly, like
- 6:41Speaker 1: Episode two brings it all home. I thought it was
- 6:45Speaker 1: really done well. This is where in my notes I'm like,
- 6:48Speaker 1: this two part structure works really well. I'm glad they
- 6:52Speaker 1: do it this way. I need these seasons to have
- 6:56Speaker 1: more episodes. Yeah, it's just can't be done though, because
- 6:58Speaker 1: they're like, we're in our Christmas season. This is when
- 7:00Speaker 1: we do it like Missletoe Murders. This is Christmas time. Yeah,
- 7:06Speaker 1: there's only maybe if you maybe six weeks of Christmas time, right, Oh,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I would love more because when you think about it,
- 7:14Speaker 1: to me, it's like three episodes really, even though it's
- 7:16Speaker 1: of course it's six, it's three weekends of Missletoe Murders.
- 7:20Speaker 1: We're at finale next. Yeah, I need I need eight,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I need twelve right, yeah, me too. So I really
- 7:30Speaker 1: love the additional layers we're getting from Emily's past. Yes,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I really like the flashbacks with Aaron. We're kind of
- 7:36Speaker 1: learning a little bit more about her past. She hacked
- 7:40Speaker 1: the school system in order to change the grades, but
- 7:42Speaker 1: her motivation was more retribution for the way the Hollies
- 7:46Speaker 1: had treated her friend. But then we have the other
- 7:49Speaker 1: side where we learn that there's been a theft of
- 7:51Speaker 1: money and someone was framed for that. Now, I I
- 7:59Speaker 1: remain convinced after watching that scene that Aaron is the culprit,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and I think I'm not quite ready to accept the
- 8:06Speaker 1: possibility that Emily could be acting with purely ill intentions
- 8:13Speaker 1: because to me, stealing the money, there's no potential good
- 8:18Speaker 1: side of it changing the grades. To me, I'm like,
- 8:20Speaker 1: don't do that. That's bad. But the intention was I'm
- 8:23Speaker 1: going to get back at them. I'm going to level
- 8:26Speaker 1: the playing field with the way they've treated us. Sure,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and with the money and then framing the teacher, it's
- 8:32Speaker 1: purely bad. Sure, So I'm not quite ready to accept
- 8:36Speaker 1: that Emily had purely bad intentions. Yeah, while watching that scene,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I couldn't quite read who the bad guy was between
- 8:49Speaker 1: Aaron and Emily. Young Emily, I texted you, I was like,
- 8:55Speaker 1: what was your read on it? And I agree with you.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I think Aarin is the one who did it. But
- 9:01Speaker 1: there's a scene leading right up into that scene where
- 9:04Speaker 1: Emily's voiceover talks about sometimes you got to do bad
- 9:08Speaker 1: things to do good things, and so I'm like, oo,
- 9:12Speaker 1: does that just giving me like a shadow of doubt
- 9:16Speaker 1: sure about what her motives are or what her experiences.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I don't know. I do truly think it's Aaron is
- 9:22Speaker 1: the bad guy, and it hurts my heart that I'm like, oh,
- 9:27Speaker 1: is he using Emily? Like Emily's going to take the
- 9:29Speaker 1: fall eventually for this kid and whatever he's going to
- 9:33Speaker 1: get into. I mean, that's my read, but it is
- 9:36Speaker 1: ambiguous and intentionally, so, yeah, we don't have the information.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It's so good. It's so good. Now if I can
- 9:43Speaker 1: flash forward a little bit talking about Aaron at the
- 9:47Speaker 1: very end of the episode, she thinks she sees Aaron
- 9:50Speaker 1: and then she doesn't see him anymore. To me, the
- 9:53Speaker 1: fact that we have casting information about this person that
- 9:56Speaker 1: he's named Aaron in the casting he's back. Yeah, He's
- 10:02Speaker 1: found her. Wasn't just paranoia? Yeah? Well, I hole. I
- 10:07Speaker 1: love that scene too, since we're just skipping forward to that.
- 10:10Speaker 1: You know, her and Sam have this like agreement now
- 10:13Speaker 1: like no new secrets basically, and then she sees Aaron
- 10:17Speaker 1: and he's like, what's wrong. She's like nothing. Oh no,
- 10:22Speaker 1: Now we're gonna have a real level of distrust here. Yes. Oh,
- 10:27Speaker 1: this show is so good for some lighter moments. Can
- 10:33Speaker 1: we talk about Emily's dropping the line? Oh yes, I
- 10:36Speaker 1: forgot how annoying young love can be. Yeah, and then
- 10:40Speaker 1: she also has a great deadpan moment. Sam has a
- 10:47Speaker 1: meeting that doesn't go well with the other detective and
- 10:50Speaker 1: she's like, well, I thought that went really well. Just
- 10:52Speaker 1: her delivery is spot on. Yeah, Sarah Drew just nails this. Yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 1: she's so good in this also, So let's talk humor.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Brook's interpretive dance, which then became Violet's interpretive dance. Quite
- 11:07Speaker 1: the choice, very funny, very fun I thought it was
- 11:11Speaker 1: funny when Brooke did it. I thought it was even
- 11:13Speaker 1: better when Violet does it. It goes on for so long.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I was like, please, think it's not but she commits
- 11:19Speaker 1: to it. She's smiling the whole time, and Zach just
- 11:21Speaker 1: loves it. And as mentioned the portrait, what was that face?
- 11:28Speaker 1: Her face? Yeah? I just thought when they show it,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I thought it was supposed to be funny when you
- 11:35Speaker 1: first see it, I think so, and then June goes, oh,
- 11:40Speaker 1: it's you, and I thought it doesn't look like Broke
- 11:45Speaker 1: because she's the blonde person. Yeah. I honestly left that
- 11:49Speaker 1: scene wondering is it supposed to be funny? How comically
- 11:52Speaker 1: bad it is? Because I felt like the humor was
- 11:55Speaker 1: supposed to come from Brook painted herself instead of June
- 11:58Speaker 1: and not. This is a truly terrible painting, right, someone's
- 12:03Speaker 1: childs did off on set. Very funny, though very funny.
- 12:11Speaker 1: What else did you like? Speaking of funny, I actually
- 12:14Speaker 1: really like Jake Epstein as Noah. Him and Emily have
- 12:18Speaker 1: this great banter like it's quick, it's snappy when he's
- 12:23Speaker 1: telling Emily like all the things that he's found on Moira.
- 12:28Speaker 1: What a great scene. I love this dynamic. I was like, Okay,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I can use more Jake Epstein in this show, and
- 12:35Speaker 1: he's used perfectly, perfectly, perfectly. One of my favorite scenes
- 12:41Speaker 1: is when Emily and Sam finally have this this heart
- 12:44Speaker 1: to heart and it's in part two, and he passively
- 12:49Speaker 1: aggressively jokes about like her stories that she's made up.
- 12:55Speaker 1: You know, they're trying to correct that blurry picture. And
- 12:59Speaker 1: she's like, well, I can take a crack at it.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, is that one of the you know,
- 13:02Speaker 1: because if you remember from season one, she's like, I
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't know how to use the computer, and like all
- 13:06Speaker 1: this whatever. I thought the conversation that follows was so good.
- 13:11Speaker 1: She tells him what I've been saying for a couple
- 13:13Speaker 1: weeks now, Like she says, I didn't ask for your
- 13:15Speaker 1: help because there are things that belong to me that
- 13:17Speaker 1: I don't want you to know about, and then goes
- 13:19Speaker 1: on because he's like pressing the Oh, this is about
- 13:22Speaker 1: trust and blah blah blah. She's like, no, this is
- 13:25Speaker 1: about how you look at me. And that made me
- 13:27Speaker 1: feel special and I'm afraid if you know my secrets,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you'll never look at me that way again. And I
- 13:33Speaker 1: got chilled watching it. I got a little choked up
- 13:36Speaker 1: watching it. I thought it was so good. It's good.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It's good. And we have those moments where Sam is
- 13:44Speaker 1: blaming himself for Reed's death. Yeah, he said he was
- 13:47Speaker 1: too busy to be there, and she reaches across the
- 13:50Speaker 1: table at Susteiner and comforts him. I mean, we have
- 13:53Speaker 1: so many intimate moments with the two of them about
- 13:55Speaker 1: it being romantic, yet that they're just Sometimes when we
- 14:01Speaker 1: get a relationship and a show where there's a will
- 14:04Speaker 1: they or won't they, there's a lot of pushing each
- 14:06Speaker 1: other away, and I like how close they're keeping each other.
- 14:10Speaker 1: We had just a little bit of it in the
- 14:11Speaker 1: first episode where they were keeping their distance. It went
- 14:14Speaker 1: on for a long time off camera that we didn't see.
- 14:18Speaker 1: And so they're so connected to each other, but they
- 14:21Speaker 1: still the conflict still hangs over the two of them.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I mean, you're just like so rooting for me. I
- 14:27Speaker 1: know totally. I just am a little I'm a little worried,
- 14:30Speaker 1: and I don't know where this should go. But I'm
- 14:31Speaker 1: going to talk about it now. When I think of
- 14:32Speaker 1: the fact that, like we said next week, this week,
- 14:35Speaker 1: as this episode drops, is the finale. Are we gonna
- 14:40Speaker 1: end on another cliffhanger? I'm sure. Do we have time
- 14:44Speaker 1: for them to get to a place of resolution with
- 14:47Speaker 1: each other? I don't know, I don't know. I don't know.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Well final like that, I have this setup and takedown
- 14:56Speaker 1: of the Dirty Cop MIC was so satisfying because he
- 15:01Speaker 1: was so dismissive to Emily, like that Christmas Lady. At
- 15:03Speaker 1: one point he's like bye, like he wanted her to
- 15:06Speaker 1: get out of there. And so you know, when it's
- 15:10Speaker 1: Emily dressed up spoiler, you know, and they bust him
- 15:16Speaker 1: as the bad cop he is. I thought it was
- 15:18Speaker 1: so good but but but what made that all come
- 15:23Speaker 1: together is when bad Cop Mike and Sam are basically
- 15:28Speaker 1: like hashing out, like at the very end, like this
- 15:31Speaker 1: is where they're like spilling all the details, like if
- 15:33Speaker 1: you're watching the mystery and you didn't like catch things,
- 15:36Speaker 1: this is all like where it's all explained. Mike asks
- 15:40Speaker 1: basically like if the Christmas Lady Emily was undercover and
- 15:44Speaker 1: there's like a light that goes off in Sam, did
- 15:47Speaker 1: you catch it? It was like a realization like, oh,
- 15:51Speaker 1: maybe her background is something like maybe she is an agent,
- 15:56Speaker 1: maybe she is something like because she had did the
- 15:59Speaker 1: undercover thing so well, yeah that you know, game recognizes
- 16:03Speaker 1: game right, like the detectives, like, oh, she seemed to
- 16:07Speaker 1: be like one of us, because if you remember earlier
- 16:10Speaker 1: in the episode, Sam is like trying to go undercover
- 16:14Speaker 1: to talk to like that guy, and Emily's like no, like, yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you're gonna print a few out as a cop immediately. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 1: And it's funny when he walks in, She's like, one,
- 16:21Speaker 1: did I tell you? Yep, it's great, super great. Well,
- 16:25Speaker 1: let's talk wishes. I don't have one, not a single one,
- 16:29Speaker 1: not a single one. Really, I don't really, I don't
- 16:35Speaker 1: have big wishes. I just wanted to fill some space here.
- 16:38Speaker 1: At the beginning of the episode. There were so many
- 16:41Speaker 1: threads introduced it at once. I could have used like
- 16:43Speaker 1: a tiny bit of streamlining, because I was like, I
- 16:46Speaker 1: don't know what's happening here, like the Harrison Art influencer
- 16:49Speaker 1: Piper Moiraira. There's so many unanswered questions that I was
- 16:55Speaker 1: a little bit overwhelmed by it. I do think the
- 16:59Speaker 1: inter if dance sequences could have been like thirty percent
- 17:02Speaker 1: shorter because the secondhand embarrassment was rough. But I do
- 17:04Speaker 1: admire the commitment. And finally, I'm just pushing for a
- 17:08Speaker 1: clear answer about Emily's past. I need to know. I
- 17:11Speaker 1: need to know more. I know, I mean, we're gonna
- 17:13Speaker 1: get a little bit and I just unfold, but I'm
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm dying for it. I mean, we need a third season,
- 17:20Speaker 1: so We're they're not gonna give us everything about Emily. No,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I know, I just I just need some information. I
- 17:26Speaker 1: know there are parts of me that I'm like, well,
- 17:28Speaker 1: I'm just gonna binge out on the Audible series. I know,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I did hear that it's a little bit that the
- 17:33Speaker 1: mysteries themselves are different. Yeah, I don't know in terms
- 17:36Speaker 1: of Emily's backstory, if that's how that plays out, I
- 17:39Speaker 1: don't know. There are several seasons. I know, I'm like,
- 17:42Speaker 1: is that what I'm gonna do during Christmas? Break has
- 17:44Speaker 1: just listened to, like four or five seasons of Missiles
- 17:46Speaker 1: Home Murders. Sounds like a good plan. Yeah, well, let's talk.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Did you see that these are just thoughts? There's some
- 17:53Speaker 1: true did you see that's but then just some moments
- 17:55Speaker 1: that I liked. Piper was giving Stoker vibes. Yeah, I
- 17:59Speaker 1: had showing up about the book signing. The line between
- 18:04Speaker 1: like superfan and Stalker is thin, right, right, right right?
- 18:09Speaker 1: I mean she obviously was our red Herring, like we
- 18:12Speaker 1: thought it was her. We see later down you know
- 18:15Speaker 1: when she finds Harrison unconscious and it was like her
- 18:20Speaker 1: rag because she used turpentina. I was like, I feel
- 18:23Speaker 1: like those were a little too obvious to me. I'm like, well,
- 18:28Speaker 1: that's not her, Like she wouldn't be stupid enough to
- 18:30Speaker 1: use her own rag and admit it right there, right,
- 18:33Speaker 1: Why would she? To me, it's like very obvious in
- 18:36Speaker 1: that moment that it's not her, right, my other did
- 18:39Speaker 1: you see that? This is on Mike Guy Ray who
- 18:42Speaker 1: I like to call Jonesy lovingly, but he's giving full
- 18:47Speaker 1: mister heat miser hair one hundred percent, one hundred percent,
- 18:53Speaker 1: thank you. That's exactly who it is. I couldn't really
- 18:58Speaker 1: figure it out, but that's exactly who it is. All
- 19:01Speaker 1: day yesterday I was like, I'm mister minser. I was like,
- 19:06Speaker 1: it is and it hasn't been that big in the past. No, no, No,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I think this was like the first time I noticed it. Yes,
- 19:12Speaker 1: I also love how he is so embedded into the community.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We're like, yes, raise shady at best, but he's like,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this fundraiser. It's like being guilty in
- 19:24Speaker 1: plain sight? Is that that's not the same, But you
- 19:27Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like he's does some shady stuff,
- 19:29Speaker 1: but he's like, but I'm a man of the community too. Yes,
- 19:33Speaker 1: I love it. I thought about your teenage daughter. When
- 19:36Speaker 1: Violet shows her cute socks and she's wearing Mary Jane
- 19:39Speaker 1: Doc Martins, Yeah, we have those shoes. I just like,
- 19:42Speaker 1: this is total teenage perfection. Yeah. I was like, that's costuming,
- 19:46Speaker 1: well done. They got it dialed, and Detective Mike was
- 19:51Speaker 1: a walking red flag to me, Like all his comments
- 19:54Speaker 1: about like, oh, this looks like it just was a
- 19:56Speaker 1: random job. I was like, you look guilty to me. Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 1: And when we find out he didn't question the security
- 20:04Speaker 1: guard that Reid had hired to help, He's like, wow,
- 20:07Speaker 1: he hasn't come to talk to me. Well, that's a
- 20:09Speaker 1: big giant red flag right there. Yeah, totally. The adjacent
- 20:15Speaker 1: story of Moira taking advantage of an Alzheimer's patient was dark. Yes,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I agree, she led her to believe that she was
- 20:26Speaker 1: her biological daughter. I thought, well, that is disgusting. Good
- 20:33Speaker 1: storytelling by the writers here, Like I thought that was
- 20:37Speaker 1: really Wolf Wolf. My final one. I loved the Ocean's
- 20:43Speaker 1: eleven style scene where Ray, Noah and Sam I'll sneak
- 20:47Speaker 1: Emily into the exhibit to steal the hairs from the paintbrush,
- 20:51Speaker 1: which kind of grosses me out, but I think they
- 20:54Speaker 1: do these little high stake moments so well. We saw
- 20:57Speaker 1: it last week too, when she was like snooping around
- 20:59Speaker 1: the principals off this this one was like bigger. Now.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I have just rewatched for the very first time Oceans eight,
- 21:06Speaker 1: which is like Ocean's eleven, but it's like the all
- 21:09Speaker 1: female pass. And when she was like sneaking in, I
- 21:11Speaker 1: was like, Oh, this is like Ocean's eight and then
- 21:13Speaker 1: she says the Ocean's eleven line. I just loved it
- 21:16Speaker 1: so much. Yeah, I really liked that whole scene. The
- 21:19Speaker 1: choreography of the diversion that they in order to get
- 21:21Speaker 1: her in there, and all the different people that kind
- 21:23Speaker 1: of came to make that come together. I thought that
- 21:25Speaker 1: was very well done. The security guard looking at his fountin,
- 21:28Speaker 1: He's like, what a weird night? So great? O great?
- 21:33Speaker 1: What did you have? Just a couple of little things.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Emily's hair is blown out very smooth when she goes
- 21:38Speaker 1: to that party, and then midway through the party you
- 21:40Speaker 1: can see her curls fighting her way back in, and
- 21:42Speaker 1: then the next scene she's back to smooth hair. Yeah. It's
- 21:45Speaker 1: giving Taylor Swift Era's tour editing and they edited between
- 21:49Speaker 1: shows and sometimes there's a lot of humidity, so her
- 21:51Speaker 1: hair's curling up and sometimes it's not. And it's just
- 21:54Speaker 1: something I noticed. Oh, I really loved this is a
- 21:58Speaker 1: only we would notice it the way the live stream
- 22:01Speaker 1: is done. It's actually done quite well. Yeah, Harrison's got lighting,
- 22:05Speaker 1: He's got a gimbal. We see on like the likes flowing.
- 22:08Speaker 1: The only thing I didn't love is that it was
- 22:10Speaker 1: in landscape for I noticed. And if he's live on TikTok,
- 22:16Speaker 1: if he's live on Instagram, those are all going to
- 22:18Speaker 1: be portrait. I suppose he could be live on YouTube,
- 22:21Speaker 1: it just seems less likely to be doing an on
- 22:24Speaker 1: location live on YouTube. Does YouTube have like the reaction emojis?
- 22:30Speaker 1: I don't know that. To me, it looked like Instagram, Yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 1: but in the wrong format. Yeah yep. But other than that,
- 22:37Speaker 1: he was giving live influencer to me, totally, What did
- 22:43Speaker 1: you rate these? It's a five star. It literally cannot
- 22:45Speaker 1: get any better. It's I agree, it's five stars. It's
- 22:48Speaker 1: so good. I feel like I wish I knew what
- 22:50Speaker 1: the viewing numbers were on this show. They're good and
- 22:54Speaker 1: going up. That's more people need to be watching this show.
- 22:56Speaker 1: It is so incredibly good. I even was considering pitching
- 23:00Speaker 1: it to my husband because he, hmmm, I know my husband.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I tried to get him and he's like, well, but
- 23:06Speaker 1: he'd have to start from the beginning. See, my friend
- 23:09Speaker 1: we were just talking about Mistletoe Murders on our recent
- 23:13Speaker 1: episode of a Listener Mailbag, and my friends had asked
- 23:17Speaker 1: if she should watch it and I she said, do
- 23:20Speaker 1: I have to watch the first season? I said, yes,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you do, yeah, but it's only six episodes. No, I know,
- 23:25Speaker 1: but I said, you know, like, could you understand? It's sure,
- 23:27Speaker 1: but you're not going to appreciate the backstory, right, It's
- 23:29Speaker 1: so important. And I got to tell you, like the
- 23:33Speaker 1: end of this episode when she sees Aaron, I was like,
- 23:37Speaker 1: if if I was, if all the episode had had dropped,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I would just cruise right into the next one, like
- 23:43Speaker 1: I would need to see it happen. Same. First of all,
- 23:47Speaker 1: Finding Mister Christmas this week four hundred and eighty six
- 23:50Speaker 1: K live viewers up seventeen percent last week, yay, twenty
- 23:53Speaker 1: percent from the premiere Mistletoe Murders. The season two launch
- 23:58Speaker 1: seven hundred and seventy one one thousand and seven hundred
- 24:01Speaker 1: and sixty six Live Plus same day, which is a
- 24:05Speaker 1: twelve percent bump from the season finale, So it did
- 24:08Speaker 1: well on Friday. Okay, good yeah good. Up from the
- 24:12Speaker 1: finale is not a surprise because this aired on Hallmark
- 24:14Speaker 1: Plus originally and many people have seen it already. Right,
- 24:18Speaker 1: so I'm so excited I need an announcement on a
- 24:23Speaker 1: third season. I know me too well. Hey, thank you
