  - Today's prayer focus is

  - dealing with what to do when we feel

  - stuck
• 1:03
  - and
• 1:04
  - how to deal with that when everyone else

  - around us seems to have made confidence decisions.

  - And I wanna start the conversation
• 1:15
  - by
• 1:17
  - the the foundational scripture found in James one
• 1:20
  - five through six
• 1:22
  - where it says, if any of you lacks
• 1:25
  - wisdom, you should ask God
• 1:27
  - who gives generously to all without finding fault,
• 1:30
  - and it will be given to you. But
• 1:33
  - when you ask, you must believe and not
• 1:36
  - doubt because the one who doubts
• 1:38
  - is like a wave of the sea blown
• 1:40
  - and tossed by the wind.
• 1:43
  - Now I find this really
• 1:46
  - fascinating
• 1:47
  - because
• 1:49
  - when you think about
• 1:51
  - waves
• 1:52
  - being tossed
• 1:54
  - by the wind,
• 1:56
  - What it's saying here is that there is
• 1:58
  - a level of uncontrolled
• 2:01
  - that's happening.
• 2:03
  - It's like the waves are crashing back and
• 2:06
  - forth, and they're not sure whether they're coming
• 2:08
  - or going. And yet God tells
• 2:11
  - us that
• 2:12
  - we don't have to be volatile in our
• 2:14
  - emotions,
• 2:15
  - that whatever it is we're lacking,
• 2:19
  - he will give it to us. And it's
• 2:21
  - his good pleasure to do so, and he's
• 2:24
  - very
• 2:25
  - abundant
• 2:26
  - with giving it to us.
• 2:29
  - Now
• 2:30
  - I think we would all agree that it's
• 2:32
  - easy to believe everyone has life figured out.
• 2:35
  - In fact, if we look at any kind
• 2:36
  - of social platform, it is, we see
• 2:39
  - that
• 2:40
  - according to what's being seen, everyone has the
• 2:42
  - perfect hair, the perfect makeup,
• 2:45
  - the perfect problem to every solution.
• 2:47
  - And yet,
• 2:49
  - we know that's not necessarily
• 2:51
  - the case.
• 2:53
  - It just sounds good.
• 2:55
  - And because of it, we often compare our
• 2:57
  - uncertainty with someone else's confidence
• 3:00
  - and begin doubting ourselves.
• 3:03
  - But the key here to remember
• 3:06
  - is, like the scripture is saying,
• 3:08
  - spiritual discernment isn't about having all of the
• 3:11
  - answers. In fact, I would beg to differ.
• 3:13
  - We'll probably have more questions than answers, which
• 3:16
  - will come later in the by and by.
• 3:20
  - But it's about trusting in the one who
• 3:23
  - does.
• 3:25
  - So
• 3:26
  - take heart.
• 3:28
  - No one understand.
• 3:30
  - You don't have to have all the answers.
• 3:32
  - You're gonna always have a lot of questions.
• 3:34
  - The questions may not all be answered, but
• 3:36
  - regardless of the outcome, you don't have to
• 3:39
  - compare yourself to someone else's confidence or what
• 3:43
  - appears to be
• 3:44
  - the perfection.
• 3:47
  - That being said,
• 3:48
  - let's pray.
• 3:51
  - Heavenly father,
• 3:53
  - free us from comparing
• 3:55
  - our journey to someone else's.
• 3:58
  - Help us to trust the peace
• 4:02
  - that you have placed within us
• 4:05
  - at the pace at which you are leading
• 4:07
  - us.
• 4:09
  - Give us confidence in your timing and peace
• 4:13
  - in the process.
• 4:16
  - Remind us that you are faithful to guide
• 4:19
  - us
• 4:19
  - even when we cannot see the whole
• 4:24
  - picture. Let our confidence rest in you and
• 4:27
  - not in certainty.
