The Institute for Economic Justice says the Social Relief of Distress grant which was introduced to assist everyone who is unable to support themselves has now become exclusionary and discriminatory. The Institute says millions of eligible people have been excluded through restrictive regulations, administrative barriers, and an inadequate budget.
