Transcript
- 0:00Hey, friends. Welcome to World View Matters.
- 0:02We've got a great guest today, a Stephen Black of
- 0:04Choram Deo Ministries. We're going to catch up with him.
- 0:07He recently has been called back to this Earth because his
- 0:11work is not done yet. And we're going to talk about some of
- 0:14the work he does in his ministry to men struggling with
- 0:17sexual identity and a whole lot more coming up on World
- 0:21View Matters.
- 0:24Welcome to World View Matters discussing controversial
- 0:28issues, discerning current events, defending biblical
- 0:33Christianity, no topic off limits. And now, here's your
- 0:39host, David Virazo.
- 0:42Hey, friends. So I thank you again for sharing the podcast.
- 0:45It's growing thanks to you and praise God for that. I want to
- 0:49bring in Stephen right now. He's an author and he's done so
- 0:52much great ministry through all the decades that he's been
- 0:55working for the Lord. And brother, I just thank you for your
- 0:59time today. So good to see you again and reconnect here.
- 1:03Hey, it's an honor. Thank you, sir.
- 1:05And your website, of course, Stephen Black dot org, it's
- 1:10STEP H E N Black dot org. And I want to ask you about your
- 1:15book because we talked several years ago, on by the way, in
- 1:19his image was a phenomenal documentary. But your book
- 1:22freedom realized, we talked about that probably three or four
- 1:26years ago on a radio talk show. And this is a new audience now
- 1:31and people that don't know about your ministry don't know about
- 1:34your testimony. So before we share about in the recent years
- 1:38and your near death experiences, let's talk about the book
- 1:42and your testimony to just share with our audience that don't
- 1:45know.
- 1:47Yeah, sure. And in that shell, 42 years ago, I had this radical
- 1:52transformative experience with Jesus Christ, he spoke to me.
- 1:57It was in the February of 83. It was before the AIDS epidemic
- 2:04hit Oklahoma City. That's important because the night I was
- 2:07saved, he said, if you do not accept me tonight, you're going
- 2:12to die. And then lo and behold, six months later in the
- 2:15summer of 1983 and all the hospitals in Oklahoma City, there
- 2:19was this mysterious disease called grit. The Lord Jesus Christ
- 2:24delivered me from the confusion of homosexuality, having been
- 2:28sexually molested, abused, and chaotic in my childhood, I
- 2:33was drawn into homosexuality in my teenage years. And thank
- 2:37God, he saved me as a young man. And ever since then, I've
- 2:40been ardently, I was called in the ministry and ardently
- 2:46serving the Lord to help others to overcome.
- 2:51Freedom is about that. And freedom realized is also got a
- 2:55survey. And it also has 14 other leaders that have found
- 3:00freedom that have ministries themselves. And there's a
- 3:04separate website for the book freedom realized.org that's
- 3:09freedom realized.org. So Stephen, I wasn't going to ask you
- 3:15this, but you brought it up. You just kind of skimmed over
- 3:18this grid. And most people don't know what that is. Most
- 3:22people understand what AIDS is because they changed it to
- 3:25AIDS. Why was it originally grid? Talk about that. That's an
- 3:29important fact. Yeah, it was like 99 literally 99% gay men
- 3:35who were coming down with this, what was a disease, the
- 3:40human HIV, this infectious disease that destroys the auto
- 3:49immune system of the body and destroys T cells. And it became
- 3:54very clear that they called it the gay disease. And it was
- 3:59grid gay related immune deficiency syndrome. And so that's
- 4:04the history behind that. And people can actually go on even
- 4:07on the liberal Wikipedia and read about it. Because it was
- 4:11called that, why did they change it, do you suppose?
- 4:15Hollywood got a hold of it. And all of these people with lots
- 4:18of money. And they didn't want to make it an association to
- 4:23just homosexuality because that was politically incorrect. And
- 4:28so they really pushed the narrative. And what did start
- 4:32happening is intravenous drug users. And then people that
- 4:36you know, would swing both ways in prostitution. We saw this
- 4:40disease, you know, go infiltrate just every demographic of our
- 4:45society. So Steven, now before we get to a very informative
- 4:54article from American Family Association, our friend MD
- 4:57Perkins, on public opinion and the shift on the approval of
- 5:02quote unquote same sex marriage. And I think you have to put
- 5:05marriage in air quotes there because we believe in God ordained
- 5:09natural marriage. So same sex quote marriage is they've redefined
- 5:14what marriage is. Before we get to that, let's talk about your
- 5:18personal saga these last couple years of your life. You had
- 5:24some health issues, your heart, and you were close to death. Did
- 5:31you go ahead and lie? What ended up happening is it was a
- 5:38actually bladder prostate issue with the flu that turned into
- 5:43severe sepsis shock. It shut down my kidneys. I was literally on
- 5:49dialysis. I was intubated in the hospital. I was dying. And the
- 5:53night that they told my family prepare, he is about a one to
- 5:57three percent chance of living is the night that I actually
- 6:00had an experience in heaven. And it was amazing. And my life
- 6:05has been changed. I had already been dealing with the really
- 6:11the depression and honestly the the disheartedness of watching
- 6:17so many people fall away. And then the dumbing down of truth
- 6:24and being called myself labeled a bully, you know, too radical,
- 6:29too narrow minded by even evangelical Christians. And so I
- 6:35had to leave them the ministry that I had directed for 22
- 6:38years. And some of the political stuff behind that and form
- 6:43Corum Deo in the midst of all of this. And it was painful. And
- 6:48then I think I was just really vulnerable when I got the flu
- 6:52and ended up in the hospital. But this experience was
- 6:57absolutely incredible. I saw the throne of God, the living
- 7:01creature that has a lion face literally came down and roared at
- 7:05me. And when he did that, I immediately got a a download from
- 7:12the throne of God that I was to come back and warn the church
- 7:18of the narrow way that you cannot live in sexual immorality in
- 7:24secret and have idols and expect to have eternal life. Now
- 7:30that's popular in some Christian circles. But it's very clear
- 7:35in the Bible, my go to versus Ephesians 5 5 that says you can
- 7:39know with certainty that no immoral or sexually unclean person
- 7:43or greedy idolater has any inheritance in the kingdom of God.
- 7:47So, you know, I'm only coming back to actually reiterate even
- 7:52what I saw in heaven and then when I saw the son of God, he
- 7:55was transfigured. I briefly see Jesus in a field and he spoke
- 8:00to me and and basically was I needed to come back and warn the
- 8:05church again. And it's part of my DNA, David. But level of
- 8:11warning and necessity to get this word out is greater than
- 8:16ever before. And I think it's because we have a short time.
- 8:20Time is very short. And your story, first of all, reminds me of
- 8:24Psalm 90 verse 12, teach us to number our days that we might
- 8:28gain a heart of wisdom. But I'm thinking there's warnings
- 8:31all throughout scripture and the New Testament in revelation.
- 8:34Paul is warning, understand the times. I think about the
- 8:39letters to the church and revelation, the seven churches, my
- 8:43goodness, there's warnings all throughout the Bible.
- 8:47And also, by the way, a couple of days ago, just recently
- 8:49interviewed the one of the producers of the movie, Bonhoeffer. Now
- 8:53this is a different subject. This is not about sexual
- 8:56fidelity or homosexuality or anything like that. But it's
- 8:59it's about the religion, as opposed to the relationship with
- 9:04Christ, warning the church that is lukewarm, warning a
- 9:07church that is following after idols or other worldliness. And
- 9:10that's what Dietrich Bonhoeffer was dealing with in the
- 9:1330s and Germany. And then we know how that ended with Hitler
- 9:16and everything else. But I want to go back to something you
- 9:18wrote recently on your Facebook page. You shared your story
- 9:22a little ministry update as you put it. And I love this for
- 9:26people that have a relationship with God that are serving the
- 9:29Lord Jesus Christ and our his ambassadors like we all should
- 9:33be. You said retirement is a concept for man, but not for
- 9:39surrendered devoted ministers of God. And that's so true
- 9:44no matter how old you are. We never retire as Christians. We
- 9:48are ministers of reconciliation. We're ambassadors for
- 9:51Christ. Could you speak a little bit more to that please
- 9:53Stephen? Yeah, when I was ordained, I had five men of God, the
- 9:58very five different pastors in and they all came to my
- 10:03ordination service. They all melt down around me around this
- 10:06cross. And one of the things one of the pastors said to me was
- 10:11a quote from a GD Watson, he said, others may, but you may
- 10:15not. And he spoke that in my ear, he prayed it over me. And I've
- 10:20always had the belief system that I need to go out with Jesus
- 10:25burning and really being at whatever level I can be, depending
- 10:32on my health, my age, to continue to preach the gospel of
- 10:36Jesus. And so that's always been my DNA even since my
- 10:39ordination in 92. So let's talk now. We're getting back to
- 10:45the freedom realized in your ministry in the confusion around
- 10:49the world, but particularly in America about sexuality and
- 10:53look what they're doing to children now, how the Satan has has
- 10:57access to children at younger and younger ages. And it's just
- 11:01tragic. He uses social media. He uses the government run
- 11:04school system. He uses Hollywood. And you wrote in this update on
- 11:09your Facebook page about so called LGBTQ Christianity. And
- 11:17chaos, you said that hit the Evangelical Church in 2008. Well,
- 11:23it was in before that, but you what do you mean by hitting the
- 11:27church in 2008? It was when the erosion hit Exodus International
- 11:34and even within focus on the family, when you have people
- 11:39behind the scenes that were actually beginning to embrace the
- 11:43APA's orientation narrative, which is what I call it because
- 11:48it's really not even true science is pseudoscience. And it's
- 11:53the idea that somehow orientation is fixed and gender or
- 11:58sexuality is somehow fluid. And that began to a road also with
- 12:03the message of antinomianism, which is another way to say that
- 12:08anti nomin against the law, which is hyper grace. And that
- 12:12happened on the board of Exodus, it happened in many of the
- 12:17former Exodus ministries, parent church ministries, people
- 12:21that were supposed to be solid Biblically were then now eroding
- 12:25into this idea of the mixture of psychology and grace. And on
- 12:30the other side of that, there was a movement called the Gay
- 12:33Christian network. And with that, there came Revoice. And then you
- 12:38have the PCA, there was many in supposed to be the Bible
- 12:42believing PCA, even the Southern Baptist, you had the president
- 12:47at the time, you know, literally dancing a lip sync of Whitney
- 12:51Houston with a gay staff member. So they were literally lie of
- 12:56the idea of the orientation of being gay and Christian. And this
- 13:03is now eroded all through evangelical circles, which is in
- 13:08some of the highest places of Christianity and the gospel
- 13:12coalition, if people like Preston Sprinkle that are out there
- 13:16specifically saying, we need to embrace our gay neighbors, we
- 13:21need to be compassionate. And I certainly agree with some of
- 13:25the communication, but what they're doing is they're actually
- 13:29bringing a 11, which is to accept and move forward. And then you
- 13:35have these like conferences like Matthew Vines that are
- 13:38actually the information project to tell the evangelical
- 13:42church, we need to accept gay marriage now. And so this has
- 13:47been an erosion, but that really has been full force from what I've
- 13:51seen in my experience since 2008.
- 13:54At least, yes. And what you've seen, I think you've been very
- 13:58perceptive on this, Stephen, because it has gotten into the
- 14:02church. And it's sad we are not to conform to the world. But
- 14:05yet, this is a deception. It is demonic. It's an ideology that
- 14:11would pervert the gospel and God, the God is creator. By the way,
- 14:16you know, one of the premises is, well, I was born in the wrong
- 14:19body. That's one of the one of the things they say, you're
- 14:21thinking, well, that's not biblical. But yet there are some, now
- 14:25I will say here, well, meaning Christians that want to be a
- 14:30peer-confident compassionate, but they don't know how to speak
- 14:33to the issue. So we've got a lot more, we've got to take a
- 14:35brief pause when we come back with Stephen Black, we're going
- 14:38to talk about this new article called Public Opinion on same
- 14:42sex marriage. Guys, we've got some numbers in here. I think
- 14:45might blow you away. But we'll be right back in World, World

- 15:39that channel as well, as well as freedom project on Facebook.
- 15:43But you can go to YouTube and World View Matters, David
- 15:47Fiorazo, no spaces. So the website we want you to make sure to
- 15:51look up friends is Stephen Black.org and it's spelled S T E P H E N
- 15:57black dot O R G. So Stephen, I've been very disappointed at the
- 16:03reaction of the church and the lack of truth defenders and
- 16:09proclamers out of the guys of maybe being loving and compassionate.
- 16:13But we're in a dangerous place. But because I think we've got
- 16:17more people, not enough pulp that's speaking to these issues
- 16:20for one thing. But we've got more people wanting to love their
- 16:24neighbor, maybe love the homosexual, the transgender, and we
- 16:29are to love. But if we are not warning them, we started by
- 16:33saying warning at the beginning, if we're not warning them and
- 16:37telling them the truth, then their souls are in jeopardy. Would
- 16:42you care to speak to that before we jump into these surveys?
- 16:45Yeah, this, you know, I, it takes me back to first us one in
- 16:49chapter four, where literally Paul is making the idea of
- 16:53human sexuality and parallel to the will of God and sanctification.
- 16:58And if that's true, and if human sexuality is one of the greatest
- 17:02appetites we have, shouldn't our pulpits be speaking to this issue
- 17:07just for the healing of what's going on behind the scenes, but
- 17:11specifically this chaos and this line that's going on where
- 17:15people are actually being duped into this idea that X X, a
- 17:23female chromosomal issue can be changed to an X Y, which is
- 17:28absolutely impossible. And that's why I'm really excited about
- 17:33what's happening with this whole D I stuff is because common
- 17:37sense understanding of biology, people are waking up to it,
- 17:43which is part of what Michael MD Perkins talks about in his
- 17:47article, but our pulpits absolutely need to be talking about
- 17:52this, addressing this, educating our people so as to not
- 17:56receive the lie. And that's what's been been transpiring for
- 18:01decades now. Yeah, there it seems to be a shift and almost a
- 18:05rebellion against the radical DEI policies that took us down.
- 18:09I think they overplayed their hands, Stephen, because these
- 18:14was corporate. This was at the university level. This was in
- 18:16schools. It was in jobs and employment. And it was just you
- 18:20couldn't get away from these DEI policies. In other words,
- 18:23even the military, we just recently learned the millions of
- 18:27dollars that was the Biden administration poured into US
- 18:30military, not getting the most qualified personnel to recruit
- 18:35them for the military, but just making sure they're filling
- 18:38certain quotas, absolutely astounding. And now we hear Mark
- 18:41Zuckerberg over on that Facebook, saying, you know, I think
- 18:46he's just trying to please Trump. What do you think, Steve?
- 18:48And you think he's going to change the whole DEI policy?
- 18:52Yeah, we want Mark has said in others like him, it does seem
- 18:57like they want to, you know, cuddle up to they want to
- 19:01cuddle Trump because they know Trump means business. And the
- 19:05people that he's getting involved with him, main business and
- 19:09some of them are not going to, you know, countdown to this
- 19:12cultural bowing down at the altar of bail, which is sexual
- 19:17perversion. And so it is an interesting day that we're living
- 19:21on. I'm excited to see, I mean, obviously, Trump is not our
- 19:26hope. Jesus Christ is in his word. So we'll see how this
- 19:31transpires. But it is interesting that someone like Mark Zuckerberg
- 19:36would would would really want to try to communicate that
- 19:40they're changing their tone and their belief concerning, you
- 19:43know, fact checking. And this corporate understanding of, you
- 19:49know, DEI with this this whole erosion of mindset and really
- 19:56political posturing, concerning LGBTQ. And so I'm hopeful, but
- 20:02you know, there needs to be a revival in the church, there
- 20:06needs to be, you know, you know, home roots of really loving
- 20:13Jesus and letting that catch fire, no pun intended, you know,
- 20:18what's going on in California. Maybe that's going to turn
- 20:22into a national revival, a fire of God. I really hope so. I
- 20:26pray that with all the pain that people are suffering.
- 20:30Yeah, there needs to be revival in the church. And boy, do we
- 20:33do we need people to be saved that are in churches? But anyway,
- 20:37Stephen, let's get to get to these numbers, having watched the
- 20:41capture of corporate America by LGBTQ, the stuffing of gay
- 20:45characters into all kinds of media by Waukali Wood, the
- 20:48celebration of drag queens in library schools churches and the
- 20:52overall normalization of not only homosexuality, but
- 20:57transgenderism now, America's seen major cultural shifts. And
- 21:02if you think about it, just 10 years ago, that Supreme Court
- 21:06case that seemingly changed and shifted radically. And since that
- 21:11time, we've been going in a different direction. Stephen, would
- 21:14you care to speak to that before we talk about some of the
- 21:16numbers? Yeah, you know, at the same time, we had Bruce
- 21:19Jenner come out that year and was celebrated. And so for 10
- 21:24years now in our culture, there is this push to not just accept
- 21:30gay marriage, but also the radical really trying to treat a
- 21:36transition, a person from one sex to another. And so I think
- 21:43people have watched it, they've actually watched the the
- 21:47carnage, because 41% of transgendered people have a suicidal
- 21:55ideology, they are 19 times more likely to commit suicide, even
- 22:02after transitioning after the five year honeymoon period. And so
- 22:07these are the highest numbers of suicide rates in the world in
- 22:12any demographic. And so people are waking up and they're
- 22:16saying, you know, that's, that's there's going to be something
- 22:19wrong with this. Well, certainly, you can't change a man into a
- 22:23woman or a woman into a man. Well, let's talk about the numbers
- 22:26in the last five minutes here briefly, according to Gallup's
- 22:29a study, 7.6% of Americans currently identifies lesbian, gay,
- 22:35bisexual or transgender. And that was only 3.5% in 2012. The
- 22:41next stat is 22% of Gen Z identify as LGBTQ. And the Gen Z
- 22:49born between 1997 and 2012. And let's talk about the bisexual
- 22:54factor. And I want you to share what you did before we got on the
- 22:56podcast, 0.1% of the population is bisexual. And yet, 70%,
- 23:05almost 70, 69% of Americans approve of or support same sex
- 23:11marriage, Stephen, the numbers don't add up the fraction of the
- 23:15population that identified, but yet this approval that my friend
- 23:19is good marketing, right? The marketing of evil.
- 23:23Absolutely always has been and you know, since Kenzie with the
- 23:2710%, which we know that that was all based in fraudulent
- 23:31science, there has always been this push, this propaganda from
- 23:36the LGBTQ community for acceptance, the screaming of it
- 23:40actually, when you look back, even all the way back to this
- 23:44Stonewall riots, the reality is is we are human beings. And our
- 23:51sexuality can be eroded and perverted on many levels. And so
- 23:57when you do the math on that, what was it, 7.6, I think, when
- 24:02you do the math and you even look at this article that four point
- 24:06whatever it was that are, you know, the idea of bisexuality or the
- 24:13idea of you doing anything with your sexuality or that cue, which
- 24:18we don't like to talk a lot about, even in the LGBT community,
- 24:24they don't like to talk a lot about that because of what it means
- 24:27which is really getting down to maps and yaps, minor attractive
- 24:31people, youth attractive people with the APA changing those
- 24:35definitions. But the bottom line is we have human sexuality and
- 24:42the acceptance or those people communicating in those surveys that
- 24:47they can swing both ways. And you know, there's even this idea
- 24:52friends with benefits. And so those numbers are certainly
- 24:56inflated. They're not real. You know, 7% of our population is an
- 25:04LGBTQ. It's at least half of that. And yes, I would be the first
- 25:09to say with the propaganda and the erosion in our schools, those
- 25:14numbers definitely have gone up. And then you get people that get
- 25:20in their 20s and 30s and say, I'm not gay. You know, and they
- 25:25experience these things. They're damaged. They're hurt. And then
- 25:28they end up in my office. And, you know, and that's really what
- 25:33I deal with a lot. David are men who tried things they shouldn't
- 25:38have. They feel themselves damaged. They feel shame. They feel
- 25:43deeply darkened in their soul. And they're looking for lasting
- 25:47freedom. And they are finding lasting freedom. So these
- 25:50numbers are inflated. And it really is propaganda. The sad thing
- 25:57is is going after the minds of children at even at the level of
- 26:01kindergarten. And that's what is extremely shameful. I think
- 26:06Trump and others like Elon Musk want to change some things with
- 26:10the Department of Education to stop this propaganda. So we'll
- 26:14see what happens in our culture in the next 10 years. Amen,
- 26:17brother. And I will say I'm thankful that a lot of these men,
- 26:22even though they're sexually broken, they're ending up in your
- 26:24office or at a church or in counseling rather than suicide. So
- 26:29we are thankful that at least that's happening. But we have to
- 26:33care about people's lives care enough to tell the truth. And
- 26:36that's why I appreciate you and your ministry. And I want to
- 26:39again send people to stevenblack.org or his book freedom
- 26:44realized.org, brother. Any last thoughts? We just have less than
- 26:49a minute here. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is transformative.
- 26:54Read those first for books of the New Testament. Let it soak in
- 26:59and let Jesus change your life. Amen. God bless you, brother. To
- 27:03be continued, we have to have you back. Thanks for your time
