- 0:20Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome to Bless This Mess and the True
- 0:22Speaker 1: Ground Podcast. I don't care who is to say hayestu. Hey,
- 0:25Speaker 1: all right, we are back and this week we are
- 0:27Speaker 1: going to North Carolina. We have I don't even know
- 0:30Speaker 1: what we'd talked about last time, because it's been so long.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We didn't talk about much all No, okay, well we
- 0:37Speaker 2: said we went to Europe, but we didn't talk about
- 0:38Speaker 2: it after the fact because you wanted to go to bed.
- 0:40Speaker 3: We're like facing each other right now, which is new,
- 0:46Speaker 3: and I'm not sure what to do with it.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yes, I'm usually behind.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What's wrong with you? No, Normally when we record the podcast,
- 0:56Speaker 1: I'm we're at like an angle from each other. But
- 0:59Speaker 1: right now how it set up, we're literally looking at
- 1:01Speaker 1: each other and all of a sudden it's awkward. I know,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I don't know what I was thinking. Anyways, I didn't
- 1:08Speaker 1: realize it until it was happening. Right now, get your
- 1:12Speaker 1: microphone out of my face, you know, like.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I'll try not to be too sexy.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Okay. Anyways, Yes, I was tired last time. I'm probably
- 1:21Speaker 1: gonna be tired this time because the children don't cooperate.
- 1:26Speaker 1: So anyways, but we are back. We were going to
- 1:31Speaker 1: tell you, guys, we feel really bad whenever we don't
- 1:34Speaker 1: put out an episode every week. Whenever we tell you
- 1:36Speaker 1: we're gonna put in an episode every week, but just
- 1:38Speaker 1: right now, it's very difficult for us. So right now
- 1:41Speaker 1: we are going to commit to every other week. So
- 1:43Speaker 1: right now we're going to be on every other week schedule.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So you'll get an episode every Thursday, every Wednesday if
- 1:49Speaker 1: you're on the on the Patreon, which we really appreciate everybody,
- 1:53Speaker 1: but every Wednesday. It'll come out on the Patreon every
- 1:55Speaker 1: Thursday on the uh like everywhere else, but not every Thursday,
- 2:00Speaker 1: every other Thursday and every other Wednesday. And we're hoping
- 2:04Speaker 1: if we do this, maybe we can work on some
- 2:07Speaker 1: Patreon material, like do the other part of Scott Peterson.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, we should record something with the
- 2:14Speaker 1: Patreon or try to, and so she was like, yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 1: we should do the other the second part of Scott Peterson.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Well there was two parts. I thought we did two parts.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Oh we did, yeah, okay, the third part. We got
- 2:28Speaker 1: to do the third part anyways, and then I'd like
- 2:31Speaker 1: to do the Jean Bree Ramsey one, so that would
- 2:34Speaker 1: be I think fun as fun as true crime can be,
- 2:37Speaker 1: you know. Anyway, So right now we're going to go
- 2:40Speaker 1: on in every other week schedule. So we really appreciate
- 2:44Speaker 1: you guys hanging in there with us and follow us
- 2:49Speaker 1: on Instagram, Facebook. We still have the TikTok, but I
- 2:55Speaker 1: guess it's still gonna be around. We're not sure. Anyways,
- 2:58Speaker 1: we got the little TikTok going.
- 3:00Speaker 2: No, you got a head of yourself. Deleted the app,
- 3:02Speaker 2: so now you can't.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like, oh, we can't use the app,
- 3:04Speaker 1: so I just deleted it. But now I can't re
- 3:06Speaker 1: download it, so I don't really know what to do.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So maybe we don't have TikTok just floating around, just
- 3:11Speaker 1: floating around out there. So anyways, uh rate us on
- 3:18Speaker 1: Apple five stars only. We don't want any criticism.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Well, somebody obviously wasn't listening because we've got a bad review.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I think we've got like two one stars coming up.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Oh god, anyways, I can't read that. I'm not emotionally
- 3:31Speaker 1: stable enough to do that. But you know, there's no
- 3:34Speaker 1: point in telling us what we're doing wrong. At this point,
- 3:36Speaker 1: We're seven years into this. We're not going to change.
- 3:39Speaker 1: This is who we are this is a long term
- 3:43Speaker 1: relationship at this point, guys, part of who we are.
- 3:46Speaker 2: We're not part of some podcast network telling us what
- 3:49Speaker 2: to do.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So no, we're just we are who we are. And
- 3:52Speaker 1: so your one star review is not gonna not gonna
- 3:56Speaker 1: change that.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Well, we're going to lose some sponsors.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Well I'm also I'm all so not going to read
- 4:01Speaker 1: them so because i don't want to feel bad about myself.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So I'm just not gonna do it, all right, So
- 4:08Speaker 1: anything else do? No? All right, Well we will go ahead.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And oh and again, thank you to all of our
- 4:15Speaker 1: patron If you'd like to join our patron it's just
- 4:17Speaker 1: general support right now that you can sign up for
- 4:20Speaker 1: and you get the episode's twenty four hours earlier and
- 4:23Speaker 1: ad freeze.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I mean that one episode that's Patreon only pay for yourself, Stuart.
- 4:31Speaker 1: That was a bonus for us. The thing clearly states
- 4:35Speaker 1: general support, and we really appreciate everybody who just generally
- 4:38Speaker 1: supports us. Okay, all right, and I think that's it.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So let's get into this week's episode. Out of North Carolina.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Kelly Marie Bordeaux Nay Henson Bordeaux like Sins, Little Cajun
- 4:53Speaker 1: was born on December twenty seventh, nineteen eighty eight, in
- 4:56Speaker 1: Saint Cloud, Florida. Now Kelly was described as a good
- 4:59Speaker 1: friend who was always there for anyone in need. She
- 5:02Speaker 1: was ambitious, ambitus ambissius. She was ambitious. So she took
- 5:12Speaker 1: her love of helping and channel that into a career
- 5:15Speaker 1: in the military. So, at the age of twenty two,
- 5:18Speaker 1: she joined the army and became a medic with aspirations
- 5:21Speaker 1: to serve in the military until retirement. Those were kind
- 5:24Speaker 1: of her plans. She had just joined though, So I
- 5:27Speaker 1: know a lot of people go into it thinking they're
- 5:28Speaker 1: going to retire, but then they get to re enlistment
- 5:31Speaker 1: time and they're like, I gotta get the fuck out
- 5:33Speaker 1: of here. And Eric, yeah, they're telling me. There's a
- 5:36Speaker 1: lot of people telling me what to do all the time.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But I don't really want to live with this lifestyle.
- 5:39Speaker 1: But at the time she had aspirations to serve. You
- 5:43Speaker 1: go all the way. So Kelly was very petite. She
- 5:47Speaker 1: was only five to one and one hundred pounds, but
- 5:49Speaker 1: they said she was strong and she was just determined
- 5:52Speaker 1: to be a soldier, determined to be a medic in
- 5:54Speaker 1: the army. Now Kelly would marry Michael Bordeaux in twenty ten,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and they had problems basically from the start. You know,
- 6:04Speaker 1: they're young, like twenty ten she was. You know, they're
- 6:08Speaker 1: in their early twenties and everything, still trying to figure
- 6:12Speaker 1: things out. So they had problems. They decided to separate
- 6:15Speaker 1: but would give it another chance. When Kelly joined the military.
- 6:19Speaker 2: After basic training, Kelly would be stationed at Fort Bragner
- 6:22Speaker 2: Fayetteville in North Carolina. Michael moved with Kelly to North
- 6:27Speaker 2: Carolina so they could work on their marriage, but things
- 6:30Speaker 2: were still not very good. Kelly gave it three months
- 6:33Speaker 2: and when it feel old with good, I mean that's
- 6:37Speaker 2: what I think. Well, I'm on a ninety day Apple
- 6:41Speaker 2: Music trial right now for buying those Apple air tags.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Okay, everybody gets everybody gets ninety days. Well you you
- 6:49Speaker 1: got ninety days with your current job and you're still
- 6:54Speaker 1: on probation. It was determined me, yes.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Oh wow, and I know I can't get fired.
- 7:01Speaker 1: The four year old had some very harsh words when
- 7:03Speaker 1: it came to your annual review.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Well, what's she going to do? Fire me? Anyway? Well
- 7:12Speaker 2: she could, how could she? What's she going to do?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Go to her room, go to daycare.
- 7:18Speaker 2: No, yeah, she won't. She'll be she'll be back. She'll
- 7:21Speaker 2: be looking for me, forgiven me.
- 7:25Speaker 1: After one day in daycare, she'd be like, uh, this
- 7:30Speaker 1: is not for me. I do not like corn.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Well, that so happens is what happened to Kelly and Michael.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It did not work out, so he went back to
- 7:40Speaker 2: Florida left her in North Carolina.
- 7:42Speaker 1: You know that's in North Carolina. Everyone wants to move to,
- 7:45Speaker 1: like North and South Carolina too. It's such an I
- 7:47Speaker 1: think it's such a nice, pretty place. Don't you think.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I don't know. I've been to South Carolina.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Well, I feel like everybody's like, yeah, everyone's like yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 1: if I could move anywhere and be North or South Carolina.
- 7:58Speaker 2: No, not mean Okay, I'd moved to Odessa, Texas.
- 8:03Speaker 3: No, we wouldn't.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Moving on with our story, okay. Kelly had many friends
- 8:13Speaker 2: and she enjoyed going out in the evenings when she
- 8:15Speaker 2: had free time. As time went on and it was
- 8:18Speaker 2: clear that Kelly and Michael were headed for the Big
- 8:21Speaker 2: D not Dallas divorce, Kelly continued to see a guy
- 8:26Speaker 2: that she had started saying back when they when her
- 8:28Speaker 2: and Michael had initially separated, and this guy's name was
- 8:32Speaker 2: Justin Thomas or justin case.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You know, justin case comes up again in our Yes episode.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I was gonna say that this I know's she's the
- 8:46Speaker 1: victim in all. But this was a messy situation because
- 8:50Speaker 1: that boyfriend was like found during while she was married earlier.
- 8:54Speaker 1: This wasn't like they got separated and it was it
- 8:57Speaker 1: was like, Okay, we're getting divorced, now let me start dating.
- 9:00Speaker 1: She was dating while she was still married to the
- 9:02Speaker 1: one guy, like and they were you know, off and
- 9:05Speaker 1: on working on it.
- 9:06Speaker 2: So yes, during their separation, yes.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Well no the first time, hadn't they No, they said
- 9:13Speaker 1: they were trying to kind of gloss over it, but
- 9:15Speaker 1: what it sounded like was they were having trouble. So
- 9:17Speaker 1: she went off and got her a new boyfriend while
- 9:19Speaker 1: she still lived in Florida, and then she moved joined
- 9:22Speaker 1: the military, and when she was there, then she decided
- 9:25Speaker 1: to try to make it work with her husband, and
- 9:27Speaker 1: so she took a break from her boyfriend and then
- 9:29Speaker 1: went back to her boyfriend. And the boyfriend, the Justin guy,
- 9:34Speaker 1: he even said, yeah, I just respected her when she
- 9:36Speaker 1: said she wanted to try to work with her husband.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I hate the boyfriend on this thing. I like, I
- 9:41Speaker 1: can't He's so stupid. I kept pausing it. He is
- 9:45Speaker 1: so stupid. Anyways, he was like, yeah, even when she
- 9:49Speaker 1: wanted to work it out with her husband, I would
- 9:51Speaker 1: just uh, I would you know? I gave her her space.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm like, this is I think he just wanted to
- 9:57Speaker 1: be on the dateline episode basically.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Is what happened trolling for some new Tale.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Yes, he was like trying to like get his face
- 10:03Speaker 1: out there as personally is what I think. But we'll
- 10:06Speaker 1: get into the boyfriend. Yeah, here's my Facebook.
- 10:12Speaker 2: So Justin and Kelly, we're progressing in the Justin to Kelly?
- 10:17Speaker 1: Isn't that that movie From Justin to Kelly? It was
- 10:20Speaker 1: like Justin I don't know his last name. And then
- 10:23Speaker 1: Kelly Clarkson. They were in a movie and it was
- 10:25Speaker 1: called from Justin to Kelly or something like that. That's
- 10:27Speaker 1: all I could think of whenever I know Stuart our
- 10:30Speaker 1: age difference is showing right now. But Kelly Clarkson was
- 10:33Speaker 1: an American idol and a current lesbian icon, and then.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yes she is.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna get canceled. But it's just funny because all
- 10:43Speaker 1: of our lesbian friends.
- 10:44Speaker 2: They really like Kelly Clarkson one more than any other.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yes, and uh, remember that time I met Kelly Clarkson.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Oh my god, you gotta drag that story up again.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I always tell I rehash some story that you had
- 10:57Speaker 2: already heard the other day, and you're like, oh, I
- 10:59Speaker 2: got to hear that story.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Well, whatever I did for heard this story, I don't
- 11:05Speaker 1: want he heard again. But there was a movie called
- 11:07Speaker 1: from Justin to Kelly.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Well, these two people, this Justin and Kelly, were not
- 11:13Speaker 2: in that movie. They were progressing in their relationship. However,
- 11:19Speaker 2: suppose he says, according to him and the intentions of
- 11:24Speaker 2: Justin moving into North into the apartment with Kelly in
- 11:29Speaker 2: North Carolina, they had talked about things, but they had
- 11:34Speaker 2: not talked about marriage. But Justin figured that they were
- 11:37Speaker 2: just progressing that way.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It was implied.
- 11:39Speaker 2: But this, yes, it was implied that he was going
- 11:42Speaker 2: to move there. They were going to move in together,
- 11:44Speaker 2: and then it would just be the natural pool.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Okay, I have a question, because you were in the military,
- 11:47Speaker 1: so she was allowed to live off base because she
- 11:51Speaker 1: was married. Yes, what happens if she divorces the husband?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Does she get those things revoked.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Depends on her rank and howpful the barracks are. Okay,
- 12:02Speaker 2: if she's an E one or two, you're going back
- 12:04Speaker 2: to the barracks.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Really, yes, I thought you could like apply to live
- 12:07Speaker 1: off off off campus.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I mean, this is twenty this is twenty twelve. I mean,
- 12:12Speaker 2: so a lot of things have changed since I got out.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, they have.
- 12:18Speaker 2: There were staff. There was E six's living in the bar.
- 12:21Speaker 1: When you were there, it was like muskets and like bayonets.
- 12:28Speaker 1: They didn't even have aircraft when you were in because
- 12:32Speaker 1: you're sould.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So anyway, and March of twenty twelve, Justin visited Kelly
- 12:42Speaker 2: n Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was checking out the town
- 12:45Speaker 2: because he had planned to move there in just two
- 12:48Speaker 2: weeks time. So they went to one of her little
- 12:52Speaker 2: one of those little base bars that's around the base.
- 12:56Speaker 1: It was definitely a dive bar. It was like in
- 12:58Speaker 1: the woods.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And every base has a bar. Usually they'll serve underage
- 13:02Speaker 2: people drinks. There was one outside of Millington, Tennessee, that
- 13:06Speaker 2: served us drinks. I don't recall the name of it.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It was next to a junk yard. Oh god, and
- 13:12Speaker 2: they only served beer in plastic cups, so if the
- 13:14Speaker 2: cops showed up, you just tipped your beer over and
- 13:16Speaker 2: then you ran out the back door. So we were
- 13:18Speaker 2: hiding out there in the junkyard and the semi trucks
- 13:21Speaker 2: when the cops were raiding the bar. One time they
- 13:23Speaker 2: raided the bar for like two hours.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Heard this story.
- 13:28Speaker 2: So anyway, I don't I can't remember how we got home,
- 13:30Speaker 2: but we got home.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Okay, Well, now you're.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Here without being arrested or detained.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You forgot to say the name of the bar. It
- 13:38Speaker 1: was Froggy Bottoms.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It was kind of a cool name, like sendor frog
- 13:42Speaker 2: as down in Tijuana.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Mm hm no, no, Stewart, I have not been to Tijuana.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Do I look like the type of person who would
- 13:49Speaker 1: go to Tijuana? Yes? You do?
- 13:51Speaker 2: You absolutely?
- 13:51Speaker 3: Are you kidding me? Why would I do?
- 13:55Speaker 1: I look like I would go to Tijuana?
- 13:57Speaker 2: You like to party, you'd be down there.
- 13:59Speaker 1: No, I like to party, post your goddarn mind. If
- 14:05Speaker 1: anybody associates anything with me, it's definitely not partying.
- 14:10Speaker 2: At all possible.
- 14:12Speaker 1: So on April thirteenth, twenty twelve, it was a Friday,
- 14:14Speaker 1: the thirteenth, Kelly decided to head out to Froggy Bottoms.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Now she was going alone. She wanted to blow off
- 14:21Speaker 1: some steam, and she enjoyed doing karaoke meeting new people.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Definitely the two things that I would rather.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Freaking out to take cocaine.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Definitely two things that I would rather, you know, I'd
- 14:35Speaker 1: rather clean the bathroom than than.
- 14:37Speaker 2: At Froggy Bottoms.
- 14:39Speaker 1: At bottoms and do karaoke and meet new people. So
- 14:43Speaker 1: she texted her sister and Justin. Now, Justin was concerned
- 14:47Speaker 1: her going by herself, but Kelly was an independent woman
- 14:49Speaker 1: and she was going out to have some fun and.
- 14:51Speaker 2: She was weren't too happy about it.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Well, supposedly he was just worried about he or whatever,
- 14:56Speaker 1: but I'm sure he was like, why the hell you
- 14:58Speaker 1: going out? I mean again, I didn't care for the guy.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I got a vibe from him and I didn't like it. Now,
- 15:04Speaker 1: Justin and Kelly they texted through the evening and everything
- 15:07Speaker 1: seemed fine. Now Justin went to bed and he woke
- 15:10Speaker 1: up the next morning. Well, let me just say he
- 15:13Speaker 1: said that he was concerned for her safety. So why
- 15:17Speaker 1: on earth would you go to bed before you found
- 15:19Speaker 1: out she made it home safe? If you're word he
- 15:21Speaker 1: was worried that she didn't live with anybody, so she
- 15:24Speaker 1: could just like not show up and nobody would know
- 15:27Speaker 1: where she was at. Nobody could hear from days and
- 15:29Speaker 1: nobody would know she was missing. I'm like, dude, you're
- 15:31Speaker 1: her person that should be you know what what's doing?
- 15:34Speaker 2: Maybe he worked all day and he was tired and
- 15:36Speaker 2: he passed out in his recliner and watching TV waiting
- 15:38Speaker 2: on her. Maybe she should have gone home and called
- 15:41Speaker 2: him at like ten o'clock and said, hey, I shouldn't.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Have gone out, okay anyway, so she so he's justin
- 15:47Speaker 1: shut up up there whatever. Anyways. So he wakes up
- 15:52Speaker 1: the next morning from to a text from Kelly saying,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I am home, I'm safe, drunk, I'm tired, going to
- 15:58Speaker 1: bed now. Justin just these two little brain cells bumping
- 16:05Speaker 1: together were like wow.
- 16:08Speaker 2: He just was.
- 16:09Speaker 1: So he's telling he's just so baffled that she would
- 16:11Speaker 1: He's like, this is just the weirdest thing to text somebody.
- 16:14Speaker 1: You're you texted your boyfriend that you were home safe
- 16:18Speaker 1: and you were drunk and you were going to bed.
- 16:20Speaker 1: He's like, why on earth would someone text me and
- 16:22Speaker 1: say they're safe? And he said he said it like
- 16:25Speaker 1: he was just really deeply thinking about this. I'm like,
- 16:28Speaker 1: you were so stupid. Yes, she texted you and said
- 16:31Speaker 1: she's home safe. I mean, we're gonna find out she
- 16:33Speaker 1: didn't actually text him, but biler, I'm just saying. He
- 16:38Speaker 1: was so confounded that somebody would that somebody would text
- 16:41Speaker 1: I'm home safe at night. Anyways, So he found that
- 16:45Speaker 1: this was odd. I guess maybe it's odd behavior behavior
- 16:49Speaker 1: for her. That's just I don't know, so he said,
- 16:52Speaker 1: he you know, was hoping he was wrong. But he
- 16:54Speaker 1: waited the day out to see if she could contact
- 16:57Speaker 1: him or he could contact her, and nothing. Now, he
- 17:02Speaker 1: decided to call the Feateville Police Department the next day,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and they would say that they would need more details
- 17:07Speaker 1: and they would also need like an actual family member
- 17:09Speaker 1: to call, not just the boyfriend. So he decides to
- 17:12Speaker 1: wait another day. And that's when he'd called the army
- 17:15Speaker 1: base just to see if she showed up there. So
- 17:17Speaker 1: he is the I will give him credit. He's the
- 17:18Speaker 1: only one checking in on her, like he's this is weird.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And so she hadn't shown up for roll calls too?
- 17:25Speaker 1: Is that terminal?
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yes?
- 17:27Speaker 1: Okay, so she hadn't shown up and that's when the police,
- 17:30Speaker 1: both local and military, went to her apartment and they
- 17:33Speaker 1: couldn't find Kelly there either. So family members were contacted
- 17:37Speaker 1: and they began frantically trying to get a hold of
- 17:39Speaker 1: Kelly in any way possible, Facebook, texting, calling, everything. Can't
- 17:44Speaker 1: get a hold of her.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Well a reliable soldier now missing, the Peel PD opened
- 17:50Speaker 2: a missing person case on Kelly, so they brought in
- 17:53Speaker 2: the homicide unit right away. They were highly concerned that
- 17:57Speaker 2: something bad had happened to Kelly, and Kelly's siblings and
- 18:01Speaker 2: her estranged husband all arrived in Fayetteville to get the
- 18:05Speaker 2: media involved so that they could arrange search parties and
- 18:08Speaker 2: get her name out there and hopefully get some some
- 18:11Speaker 2: volunteers to go searching for her.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yeah. I think that's one of the biggest things seems
- 18:15Speaker 1: to make a difference in some of these cases getting sold,
- 18:18Speaker 1: is the family getting out there and just plastering the
- 18:21Speaker 1: person's face all over it. They go and they talk
- 18:24Speaker 1: to the media and they're like, we need to find her.
- 18:26Speaker 1: This is not like her, you know, and that really helps.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Yeah, there's some people that are like, yeah, I went
- 18:31Speaker 2: to the comps and they didn't do nothing. It's because
- 18:33Speaker 2: there was no media attention.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Well yeahad media, I know that's unfortunate. But the squeakiest
- 18:39Speaker 1: will gets the grease. So if you go out there
- 18:41Speaker 1: and you're just talking, talking, talking, they're like, oh my god,
- 18:43Speaker 1: we need to we got to go do something.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we got to make it look like we're doing something.
- 18:47Speaker 1: And also you garner the public's support and then they're
- 18:50Speaker 1: out searching for her.
- 18:52Speaker 2: It's not just you calling the police saying what are
- 18:54Speaker 2: you doing, it's every media, the reporters, the community, yes,
- 19:00Speaker 2: harassing them. Yes, so they got to put resources into it.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yes, I hope if I ever go missings do you
- 19:07Speaker 1: will go out there and pretend you had nothing to
- 19:09Speaker 1: do with it and get the attention that I deserve.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Okay, none, Stewart, she did not light up a room, gentlemen.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Getting back to our story, Michael, the estranged husband, stated
- 19:26Speaker 2: two cameras that they were a happy couple and that
- 19:30Speaker 2: he missed his wife and he wanted her home. So
- 19:34Speaker 2: he wasn't really actually portraying the relationship as it was,
- 19:38Speaker 2: and the media attention did have the affected desire.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Affected desire, I don't know that's what She wrote the
- 19:46Speaker 1: desired effect.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Desired effect. Yes, I thought it was funny when I
- 19:50Speaker 2: read it.
- 19:51Speaker 1: You know, I will say in Michael's Mike's defense, taking
- 19:56Speaker 1: that in, Yes, who's gonna say, who's going to go
- 19:59Speaker 1: out and say.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Me and my wife who was missing? Who's gonna go
- 20:05Speaker 3: out there and be like, yeah, actually we're not.
- 20:07Speaker 1: We weren't happy at all. She wanted to divorce me,
- 20:09Speaker 1: She had a new boyfriend.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Who's gonna she was moving him in?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, who's gonna say that sucks?
- 20:15Speaker 2: So you killed her? No?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah, he already was going to be suspect number one.
- 20:19Speaker 1: He wasn't gonna go out there and just be interviewed
- 20:21Speaker 1: by the news and be like, yeah, we were miserable.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Actually we're miserable. I got a girlfriend, you got a boyfriend.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 2: So the media attention had the desired effect. Hundreds of
- 20:36Speaker 2: people began searching, it's not there as bad as the
- 20:39Speaker 2: valdoseda Valdosta problem.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Then, oh, we did get a review on that. We
- 20:43Speaker 1: got a one star. Because remember, even these years later.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I think I've gotten like two or three one star.
- 20:48Speaker 1: One star just from that mispronunciation of.
- 20:51Speaker 2: That town must have grated on Somebody's Nerves podcast.
- 20:57Speaker 1: It's such a small town to anger so many people.
- 21:02Speaker 1: You really have a special knack for that.
- 21:04Speaker 2: I do, I do, I really do. That's why you
- 21:09Speaker 2: were yelling at me just earlier today about something. I
- 21:11Speaker 2: don't know what it was anyway. Hundreds of people began
- 21:15Speaker 2: searching the woods for Kelly, but after days and days,
- 21:19Speaker 2: nothing was found. The family was trying to keep up hope,
- 21:23Speaker 2: but it was becoming more difficult by the day to
- 21:26Speaker 2: keep that hope up.
- 21:28Speaker 1: So police they began interviewing friends and family to try
- 21:31Speaker 1: to see who, you know, who their suspects may be.
- 21:34Speaker 1: They obviously started with the estranged husband. He was not
- 21:37Speaker 1: clear with police on the status of the relationship. He
- 21:40Speaker 1: did make it sound like to them, which was not
- 21:42Speaker 1: the media, that they were happy and then would kind
- 21:45Speaker 1: of backtrack on that. And it wasn't until talking to
- 21:49Speaker 1: Kelly's family and friends that they had a better understanding
- 21:53Speaker 1: of the actual relationship and where it was going. So
- 21:56Speaker 1: Kelly was most definitely leaving Mike, even if he had
- 21:59Speaker 1: other ideals, because he might he was still holding on
- 22:03Speaker 1: a little bit. She was done, though her family friends
- 22:05Speaker 1: were like the sister was like she was wanting a divorce.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I've had that same problem before myself.
- 22:11Speaker 2: There's this girl that was like hoping them stay with me,
- 22:14Speaker 2: and then she started making all these albums and songs
- 22:16Speaker 2: about it.
- 22:17Speaker 1: What.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I wouldn't take her back. And you heard of
- 22:20Speaker 2: Taylor Swift. Oh, she wrote all these albums about my.
- 22:23Speaker 1: God, you're such a that is such a dad joke
- 22:26Speaker 1: in such a loser joke.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Well, I am a dad and I'm married to you.
- 22:31Speaker 1: So you're a loser. Okay. So this was concerning to police,
- 22:35Speaker 1: but Mike insisted that he was back down in Florida
- 22:38Speaker 1: at the time of her disappearance, and police were able
- 22:41Speaker 1: to confirm this alibi. So they had to move on
- 22:43Speaker 1: to questioning that boyfriend of hers from Justin to Kelly
- 22:47Speaker 1: Old Justin. He too said he was home the weekend
- 22:50Speaker 1: she disappeared, and this was confirmed as well. So their
- 22:53Speaker 1: two top suspects are out the door already right off
- 22:57Speaker 1: the bat. Now they had to start looking at maybe
- 23:02Speaker 1: who she interacted with in Fayetteville. It must have been
- 23:05Speaker 1: somebody there, or maybe a stranger or somebody knew in
- 23:07Speaker 1: her life.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I think.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Yes, shut up, Stu. Now Justin had a story for
- 23:15Speaker 1: police about a guy that Kelly had given her number
- 23:17Speaker 1: two that worked at the Froggy Bottom, and his name
- 23:21Speaker 1: was Nick Hulbert. Now the guy he apparently they were
- 23:25Speaker 1: at the bar one night with when Justin was visiting
- 23:27Speaker 1: before he moved, and Nick was sorry, I had a
- 23:31Speaker 1: frog e bottom in my throat. That was the other
- 23:35Speaker 1: thing I was just telling Stu when we paused. That
- 23:38Speaker 1: was part of the reason it's been so long since
- 23:40Speaker 1: we had an episode. I was sick, and then I
- 23:42Speaker 1: gave it to Stu and then I got sick again,
- 23:45Speaker 1: like we've been passing it back and forth. So what
- 23:48Speaker 1: happened with Nick was Justin and Kelly Justin to Kelly
- 23:52Speaker 1: were at the Froggy Bottom one night whenever he was visiting,
- 23:56Speaker 1: and this guy starts like chatting with them and everything,
- 23:59Speaker 1: being real friendly. The Justin guy said he seemed the
- 24:02Speaker 1: guy seemed the Nick guy was kind of weird or whatever,
- 24:05Speaker 1: but Kelly kind of befriended him, letting him come play
- 24:07Speaker 1: pool with him and everything, And so Kelly ended up
- 24:10Speaker 1: giving her number to this guy, thinking it was, you know,
- 24:15Speaker 1: an innocent situation. She just said she told Justin was like,
- 24:18Speaker 1: you don't give him your number whatever, which it is weird.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Sorry sorry Kelly, but she just said that it was
- 24:26Speaker 1: good idea to have a friend at the bar because
- 24:29Speaker 1: the Nick guy worked at the bar. So she's like,
- 24:31Speaker 1: this is good to have you know, someone who works
- 24:33Speaker 1: here that can maybe help me out watch my back
- 24:36Speaker 1: because she's there by herself.
- 24:38Speaker 2: No, it's somebody that can slide you a drink that
- 24:40Speaker 2: you don't pay for every now and then.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah, a little over poor. Yeah. So I think that
- 24:44Speaker 1: was her whole angle of all this, you know. And anyway,
- 24:48Speaker 1: so Justin told police that Kelly planted actually planned on
- 24:51Speaker 1: getting a ride from Nick the night she went missing,
- 24:54Speaker 1: and from the bar. Yes, so this is major.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Detectives went to talk to Nick, and Nick had fallen
- 25:01Speaker 2: on some hard times. Nick was living in the woods
- 25:05Speaker 2: at a campsite behind the bar.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think Nick was ever on good times,
- 25:10Speaker 1: so I think this was just a constant state.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Of and not like campsite where you're in your not
- 25:16Speaker 2: a basil pusher. He's in a tent.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Yeah, not like fun camping like they do on Instagram
- 25:21Speaker 1: now where they travel around in they're like, you know,
- 25:24Speaker 1: seventy thousand dollars. Van. This was real, like like, can
- 25:29Speaker 1: you say hobo.
- 25:29Speaker 2: It's at a louder, yes, yes.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Well I was thinking like hobo because I was I've
- 25:35Speaker 1: been playing a lot of Zelda and they there's they
- 25:37Speaker 1: say there's a hobo that.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Lives under the bridge.
- 25:42Speaker 1: And you have to go get a bottle, a magic
- 25:44Speaker 1: bottle from like a bottle for storage you can store
- 25:47Speaker 1: like a ferry or a bee or potion. And they
- 25:51Speaker 1: say there's a hobo under the bridge. That's what Nick
- 25:54Speaker 1: made me think of.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Wow, So you don't think you can use the word hobo. Yeah,
- 25:59Speaker 2: but I derogatory term.
- 26:02Speaker 1: That I'm not up with the I'm not I'm old, Okay,
- 26:06Speaker 1: I know.
- 26:06Speaker 2: You're almost like old. So no, Nick was not doing
- 26:12Speaker 2: well in life at the moment. He was. He was
- 26:16Speaker 2: looking at brighter day as.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Ahead though he got Kelly's phone number.
- 26:20Speaker 2: He got Kelly's phone number. They searched his property and
- 26:24Speaker 2: by that we mean his car in the campsite, in
- 26:27Speaker 2: his backpack or whatever. I don't know, and they found
- 26:30Speaker 2: no evidence of Kelly. So they bring Nick in for questioning.
- 26:34Speaker 2: He's very cooperative. He answered all the questions and he
- 26:37Speaker 2: didn't seem to be nervous at all. He was part
- 26:40Speaker 2: of the search parties and was even interviewed on a
- 26:43Speaker 2: local news station talking about Kelly, saying that he really
- 26:46Speaker 2: hoped that they found her. They had no choice but
- 26:50Speaker 2: to release Nick, and they didn't. They but they did
- 26:52Speaker 2: find out that he was on the sex offender registry
- 26:55Speaker 2: list and that he was not properly registered.
- 26:58Speaker 1: How do you register at a campsite? Though?
- 27:00Speaker 2: I don't know, he got the address to the bar wrong.
- 27:03Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe he didn't reregister when he moved
- 27:07Speaker 2: to the campsite.
- 27:08Speaker 1: But how do you put the address of the campsite?
- 27:10Speaker 2: I guess the bar and then you draw a little
- 27:12Speaker 2: X for the campsite behind the bar. I don't know.
- 27:16Speaker 2: With this, they were able to arrest Nick and questioned
- 27:20Speaker 2: him more while he was in jail. They found some
- 27:23Speaker 2: of his uh, his stories had some inconsistencies. They pretty
- 27:28Speaker 2: much caught him a couple doozy whopper lies. But nothing you.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Say doozy whopper lies.
- 27:34Speaker 2: You don't even know that I do. That's what they said.
- 27:36Speaker 2: They said they caught him in some lies. Okay, so
- 27:39Speaker 2: doozy whoppers is my my ad living some doozies, Some Whoppers.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Doozy Whoppers implies they were major lies.
- 27:49Speaker 1: We don't know why.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Wait, we know now, you're an idiot. Just set back
- 28:00Speaker 2: over there. Let me let me continue on here. So
- 28:04Speaker 2: they he moved to the top of the suspect lists. However,
- 28:07Speaker 2: they did not have any evidence on him, anything solid
- 28:11Speaker 2: that he had anything to do with her parents. He
- 28:14Speaker 2: wasn't admitted in He was not going to admit it either,
- 28:19Speaker 2: so they kept an eye on him, but the case
- 28:21Speaker 2: quickly ran cold.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Now let me pull together over here, so the case
- 28:30Speaker 3: would get its big break when a man named David
- 28:33Speaker 3: Marshburn and I have some hot takes on this fella.
- 28:36Speaker 2: To Stuv too, I mean, the guy's got a wife
- 28:40Speaker 2: and a kid.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Okay, we don't even know Stu.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Let's get it.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Okay, we do know that, but let's talk about it because.
- 28:46Speaker 1: People don't understand what we're talking about. So he took
- 28:49Speaker 1: an interest in Kelly's Clay Kelly's case. Now he was
- 28:54Speaker 1: a bounty hunter and a private investigator, and Kelly's case
- 28:58Speaker 1: became quite the obsession for him, like full on obsession.
- 29:02Speaker 1: So he had, as Stu mentioned, he had a wife
- 29:04Speaker 1: and child, and he admittedly basically abandoned his family for
- 29:10Speaker 1: a couple of years and forty thousand dollars spent to
- 29:13Speaker 1: try to solve this case. He became completely obsessed with.
- 29:17Speaker 2: His personal money. I don't know if he was ever reimbursed.
- 29:20Speaker 2: So this all came out of his own pocket.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Well, yeah, because the family didn't hire him. He did.
- 29:24Speaker 1: He saw this on TV. He with the.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Searches, and then he just continued on. Well when he
- 29:31Speaker 2: saw that as the police leads dried up, he continued
- 29:34Speaker 2: on there.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah, well he's what happened was he saw that Nick
- 29:37Speaker 1: guy on TV and he immediately was like, this guy's lying.
- 29:39Speaker 1: We all know he's lying. Okay, we all know this.
- 29:41Speaker 2: You didn't have liked.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody knows he's lying. We just don't have enough,
- 29:45Speaker 1: you know, evidence on him. So he saw him and
- 29:49Speaker 1: he knew that he was lying, and so he just
- 29:52Speaker 1: became completely in one hundred percent obsessed. No one was paying.
- 29:55Speaker 1: That's why he went forty thousand dollars in personal debt
- 29:59Speaker 1: working on this case. Like I said, he said, he
- 30:01Speaker 1: basically abandoned his wife and his child and just worked
- 30:06Speaker 1: on this case for two solid years. Now along with David,
- 30:10Speaker 1: he had an assistant named Marcia and a special search
- 30:14Speaker 1: dog named Kaz. So after everybody was done searching, they
- 30:18Speaker 1: continued to search for miles and miles of woods looking
- 30:21Speaker 1: for Kelly. When he still had no luck, he then
- 30:24Speaker 1: attempted to get Nick Holbert to confess He's became his mission.
- 30:30Speaker 1: He approached Nick at his home and he just kind
- 30:32Speaker 1: of introduced himself. He said, I'm a private investigator and
- 30:34Speaker 1: I'm looking for Kelly. He made it sound like he
- 30:37Speaker 1: was hired, you know, to look into this. And he's like,
- 30:40Speaker 1: I think you can help me because you were the
- 30:42Speaker 1: last one not suspecting him or anything. Just wanted to
- 30:45Speaker 1: befriend him. So they did become friends, and David slowly
- 30:51Speaker 1: would prod him for information, but he just wasn't getting
- 30:54Speaker 1: much of anywhere, Like Nick wasn't giving up the goods
- 30:56Speaker 1: no matter how much this guy tried.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I've been there, shut up, Stu.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Nick tried, not Nick. David tried several things to get
- 31:07Speaker 1: Nick to confess, and this including included, not including included
- 31:13Speaker 1: a fake plea deal that he got from the DA
- 31:16Speaker 1: and I'm using the air bunnies around that and he said, hey,
- 31:19Speaker 1: the DA gave me these this plea deal that I wanted.
- 31:22Speaker 1: He wanted to offer you or whatever, if you'll just
- 31:24Speaker 1: confess to what you did to Kelly. And this is
- 31:27Speaker 1: where Stu's just in case came because he put he
- 31:30Speaker 1: signed the judge as justin case, and he had to
- 31:34Speaker 1: explain it, explain it to the dateline lady Andrea Canning.
- 31:39Speaker 1: She didn't get it.
- 31:39Speaker 2: She's like, oh, justin f case.
- 31:43Speaker 1: OK, but you know what, and now that I can
- 31:46Speaker 1: get it, just oh, I get it now you know
- 31:48Speaker 1: what though, I realized now she is married, so she
- 31:52Speaker 1: has a husband, so she's probably heard that joke fifty
- 31:55Speaker 1: million times and is like, oh, let me give him
- 31:57Speaker 1: a pity laugh. That's stupid. So anyway, so he gives
- 32:01Speaker 1: him the fake plea deal and the guy, the Nick guy,
- 32:05Speaker 1: looks at it, reads it over a couple times, and
- 32:07Speaker 1: then eventually just decides. He's like, oh, they'll just take
- 32:10Speaker 1: it back. I'm not doing anything. So it almost worked,
- 32:12Speaker 1: but then it didn't.
- 32:14Speaker 2: The obsession with getting Nick to confess continued, with David
- 32:19Speaker 2: hiring Nick to do odd jobs for him, as well
- 32:23Speaker 2: as buying meals, cigarettes, beers, pretty much whatever comfort item
- 32:28Speaker 2: he wanted.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Well, next probably like you know what the comfort item
- 32:31Speaker 1: I'd like to have is a fucking house.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's not on the list. He felt that
- 32:37Speaker 2: if he continued to gain his trust, he would eventually confess.
- 32:41Speaker 2: David said that during this time he hated Nick, but
- 32:44Speaker 2: he had to pretend that he liked him.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, he just wanted to like rip him.
- 32:48Speaker 2: He wanted to torture him into confess him, but he
- 32:50Speaker 2: didn't obviously, or we'd be talking about David going to jail. Finally,
- 32:57Speaker 2: two years after Kelly had disappeared, David finally got Nick
- 33:01Speaker 2: to admit to harming Kelly. He did this by staging ate.
- 33:05Speaker 2: He had a friend David did that had a car
- 33:09Speaker 2: that resembled an undercover police car. So he got this
- 33:12Speaker 2: guy to park it outside of Nick's house and it
- 33:15Speaker 2: started getting on Nick's nerves.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Oh, I guess Nicko did eventually move into a home
- 33:20Speaker 1: because he was outside the house. So yes, he must
- 33:22Speaker 1: have been.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Well, I mean he whenever he got out of jail,
- 33:26Speaker 2: he had moved in.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because he Yeah, that.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Was his all shack that he was living in. So anyway,
- 33:32Speaker 2: David got this guy to park this car outside his
- 33:34Speaker 2: house and made it look like the police are watching him.
- 33:37Speaker 2: So Nick got paranoid and he started this started to
- 33:40Speaker 2: break him really he Then David then had his wife
- 33:45Speaker 2: call and she's posing as a paralegal. She's telling Nick
- 33:48Speaker 2: that he's about.
- 33:49Speaker 1: To be in dieted and the wife at this point
- 33:51Speaker 1: is like, Jesus, I'll do whatever you need me. What
- 33:53Speaker 1: do you need me to do to get this done?
- 33:54Speaker 1: Because I would like you to come, you know, spend
- 33:57Speaker 1: time with your family and stop spending all our money.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Well, maybe he had a lot of money from private investigating,
- 34:02Speaker 2: and maybe he.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Did drive that white panel van that looked a little sketchy.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he looked like a sex offender himself in that
- 34:08Speaker 2: white panel van. So they drove out to a wooded
- 34:11Speaker 2: area where Nick said Kelly was disposed of. However, he
- 34:16Speaker 2: could not remember exactly where she was. So they searched
- 34:19Speaker 2: for hours and hours with the dog, but they still
- 34:22Speaker 2: kaz but they still could not find Kelly. David took
- 34:27Speaker 2: Nick to a motel and said he would be back
- 34:29Speaker 2: in the morning because I guess Nick's all freaking out
- 34:32Speaker 2: that the cops are after him. Yeah, so Dave puts
- 34:34Speaker 2: him up in a motel. He's like, I guess I
- 34:36Speaker 2: got him all spun up and I gotta put him
- 34:38Speaker 2: in a damn hot what.
- 34:39Speaker 1: But like, it was crazy to me that he just
- 34:41Speaker 1: left him there at the motel. I would have been like,
- 34:43Speaker 1: I'll stay with you, make sure everything, because I'd be worried.
- 34:45Speaker 2: He'd well, that's what the lady asked him. She's like,
- 34:48Speaker 2: weren't you worried he'd just get on the road and run.
- 34:51Speaker 2: He's like, no, I was worried about him killing himself
- 34:53Speaker 2: because the walls were closing in all.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Oh, So that was like he had a lot going
- 34:58Speaker 1: for him. Anyways, the Nick guy, even before.
- 35:02Speaker 2: This, he's got a friend buying him cigarettes and bear No.
- 35:05Speaker 1: But before this he lived in a tent behind the
- 35:09Speaker 1: Froggy Bottom bar.
- 35:10Speaker 2: I know they probably got all kinds of free draft beer.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Oh my god, living the life.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Then you go live that life, Stewart. Okay, it gets
- 35:20Speaker 1: cold at night in North Carolina, all right.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I'm sure it does. The next morning, David picked Nick up.
- 35:28Speaker 2: They went out back and he took him in another
- 35:30Speaker 2: direction looking for the body. The dog picked up on
- 35:33Speaker 2: the scent and it was a hit. They began digging
- 35:37Speaker 2: and they quickly came across Kelly's jacket and then a bone. Well,
- 35:42Speaker 2: this whole process is going on. David is texting the
- 35:44Speaker 2: police department and he sent photos to the police and
- 35:47Speaker 2: they told him stop digging. We're on our way. So
- 35:52Speaker 2: they brought out the crime scene units and the whole
- 35:56Speaker 2: forensics package and everything, and they arrived and they spoke
- 35:59Speaker 2: to Nick, who at this time fully confessed to police
- 36:03Speaker 2: what happened to Kelly.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Now, Nick tells police that he was at the bar
- 36:07Speaker 1: with Kelly when someone told her about Nick's sex offender status. Well,
- 36:12Speaker 1: this got her really upset. I guess because she's riding
- 36:14Speaker 1: in the car by herself with this guy. She's befriended
- 36:16Speaker 1: this guy and he's a sex offender, and I don't
- 36:20Speaker 1: They never went into like detail, Wow, stud really dropped
- 36:24Speaker 1: the ball.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Wow detail, I'm taking a drink.
- 36:28Speaker 1: They never went into detail about what he had done.
- 36:30Speaker 1: But she got very upset and she went outside and
- 36:34Speaker 1: he follows her out there and they got into an
- 36:37Speaker 1: argument and she started yelling at him. Now, he said
- 36:40Speaker 1: that he snapped and kind of zoned out and he
- 36:42Speaker 1: just hit her, knocking her out. Remember she's small girl,
- 36:46Speaker 1: She's five pounds so he he hit her, knocks her out,
- 36:50Speaker 1: He drags her to her his campsite, which you know
- 36:52Speaker 1: is behind the bar. She wakes up at some point
- 36:55Speaker 1: and she begins screaming, and so that's when he hit
- 36:57Speaker 1: her again and it actually killed her. He then dragged
- 37:00Speaker 1: her to the woods and buried her body. Now, this
- 37:03Speaker 1: is what he's telling all we have to go on,
- 37:05Speaker 1: is what he's saying happened. Because but he's a sex
- 37:08Speaker 1: offen er, So I wouldn't be surprised if this there
- 37:10Speaker 1: was a sexual component to this. But at the point
- 37:12Speaker 1: where they could do the autopsy, she had been she
- 37:15Speaker 1: was so decomposed.
- 37:16Speaker 2: It had been two years.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Yeah, So Nick was arrested and charged with first degree
- 37:21Speaker 1: murder and would sit in jail awaiting trial. Now, an
- 37:24Speaker 1: autopsy was done on Kelly and it did confirm that
- 37:27Speaker 1: she died from blunt force trauma to the head. Now,
- 37:30Speaker 1: Kelly's family was finally able to have some closure and
- 37:34Speaker 1: they lay her to rest. They you know, they talked
- 37:36Speaker 1: about you know how it wasn't not a happy moment,
- 37:39Speaker 1: but it was just like a relief to be able
- 37:41Speaker 1: to know have some something, to know where she was at.
- 37:44Speaker 1: They had her body, and they could, you know, put it,
- 37:48Speaker 1: put an EndNote to that instead of just always wondering
- 37:50Speaker 1: if she was out there. So they said whenever they
- 37:54Speaker 1: did her had her funeral, they had it back in
- 37:57Speaker 1: Florida that so many people wanted to attend. They actually
- 38:00Speaker 1: televised the funeral and so that everybody could watch. Now,
- 38:04Speaker 1: in August of twenty fifteen, Nick chose to take a
- 38:07Speaker 1: plea deal and he admitted to killing Kelly, and then
- 38:10Speaker 1: he received a life sentence with no chance of parole.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Which it's good he did. I mean, the only positive
- 38:16Speaker 1: he did save them a trial, and that's probably the
- 38:17Speaker 1: most he was going to get anyways, because if he
- 38:20Speaker 1: if he's telling them that he hit her out of anger,
- 38:22Speaker 1: they were never going to get the death penalty in
- 38:24Speaker 1: this I think North Carolina is a death penalty state.
- 38:27Speaker 1: But like that was the most they were going to
- 38:29Speaker 1: get anyway, So it's best that they didn't.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Have to do a whole spent a lot of money
- 38:33Speaker 2: on a trial.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Yeah, he was probably just happy to get out of
- 38:36Speaker 1: the campsite. Now he goes to jail and he yeah.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Got some commissary.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Yeah maybe maybe all right, Well that's our case for
- 38:45Speaker 1: this week, stude, do you have your y'all need Jesus?
- 38:50Speaker 2: Of course I did?
- 38:50Speaker 1: Okay, Well, what do you mean, well I got I
- 38:56Speaker 1: didn't get a comment after I said whip it out,
- 38:59Speaker 1: even though I did that on purpose. Okay, moving on,
- 39:06Speaker 1: it will not be later. I'm going to bed after this.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we are Stewart.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Stop.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Do you have your y yes? What do you want?
- 39:16Speaker 2: You want to hear about how Susan Smith is devastated
- 39:18Speaker 2: she won't be on Dancing with the Stars already? Want
- 39:21Speaker 2: to hear about the girl who texted the police officer
- 39:25Speaker 2: that she wanted to buy some fentanyl instead of her
- 39:27Speaker 2: drug dealer.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I'd rather hear about the second one. I don't want
- 39:30Speaker 1: to hear about Susan Smith because she's depressing. I can't
- 39:35Speaker 1: believe she didn't think she's gonna I don't even know
- 39:37Speaker 1: what to make it what you just said though about
- 39:39Speaker 1: the dance.
- 39:40Speaker 2: She was up for parole and she didn't get it,
- 39:42Speaker 2: so she was devastated she didn't get parole.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Why would you say Dancing with the Stars.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Because she thought she was going to get out on
- 39:50Speaker 2: parole and and somehow magically get her way on Dancing with.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Oh, she did.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yeah, oh wow, okay, according to one of her suits,
- 39:59Speaker 2: her that penpal suitors that.
- 40:03Speaker 1: So we don't know if this is confirmed or not.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Well, the guy, the guy I got upset when he
- 40:08Speaker 2: found out he wasn't the only one that she was
- 40:10Speaker 2: romantically involved in writing letters with. So he is just
- 40:14Speaker 2: he has stopped his relationship.
- 40:16Speaker 1: And he spilled the tea on what she'd been saying.
- 40:19Speaker 2: All her hopes and dreams.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Oh God, your hopes and dreams when you get out
- 40:24Speaker 1: of jail is that you go down dancing with the stars.
- 40:25Speaker 1: You need to reevaluate your life, Jesus, at least try
- 40:29Speaker 1: to be a real housewife or something. But no, she
- 40:32Speaker 1: doesn't get anything. She's a bad person. All right, Let's
- 40:35Speaker 1: talk about the lady who texted the cops.
- 40:38Speaker 2: A tech challenged woman was busted after accidentally texting cop
- 40:42Speaker 2: instead of drug dealer.
- 40:45Speaker 1: How does she have the cops number in her phone?
- 40:48Speaker 1: You're gonna tell me.
- 40:49Speaker 2: That's in the story New York Post, published by Natalie O'Neill,
- 40:55Speaker 2: published January ninth, twenty twenty five. Just recently, Florida especially.
- 41:00Speaker 1: You're not gonna Florida, not Florida. I'm going to go
- 41:03Speaker 1: with Florida.
- 41:06Speaker 2: She wanted to score some dope, not report one a
- 41:10Speaker 2: tech challenge. Florida woman accidentally a cop bed on these
- 41:17Speaker 2: instead of her drug dealer to buy fentanyl, unwittingly narking
- 41:22Speaker 2: on herself. It was especially after this many drinks. Well
- 41:27Speaker 2: there was like three or four shows. Unwittingly narking on herself,
- 41:32Speaker 2: according to police who arrested her, Octavia Wells. Octavia. That's
- 41:37Speaker 2: a nice name, unless you're texting your drug and your
- 41:41Speaker 2: cop instead of your drug dealer. Octipe, I do too,
- 41:44Speaker 2: Age forty one had been headed to rehab on New
- 41:48Speaker 2: Year's Eve when she texted a man she'd previously entered
- 41:51Speaker 2: in her phone as PJ, allegedly offering to pay forty
- 41:55Speaker 2: dollars forty five dollars for the open opioid. According to
- 41:59Speaker 2: Bay County Sheriff's so she's going to rehab, She's like, hey,
- 42:02Speaker 2: one last little party.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Oh. It's like she's just like, you're about to start
- 42:07Speaker 1: a diet. You do a cheap million know it's understandable.
- 42:11Speaker 2: New Year's Eve. I'm gonna quit smoking tomorrow. Let's just
- 42:13Speaker 2: smoke them. I gotta smoke the rest of this cart
- 42:15Speaker 2: and in my phraser.
- 42:16Speaker 3: It's like I'm gonna quit drinking tomorrow. It's down the hole.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I got like two fists at Jamison. So the drim
- 42:23Speaker 2: dimn wedded Druggy then arranged to meet the guy on
- 42:26Speaker 2: the other end of the line at a Tom Thumb
- 42:29Speaker 2: convenience store in Panama City, but when she arrived at
- 42:34Speaker 2: the store, narcotics cops were waiting there to arrest her.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Well soon learned that she had mistakenly contacted Steven Petty John,
- 42:45Speaker 2: an investigator with the Bay County Sheriff's Office known as PJ,
- 42:50Speaker 2: with whom she'd had a previous iteration. I'm guessing she
- 42:56Speaker 2: had an encounter iteration. That's just the stories. I'm guessing
- 43:01Speaker 2: she had been previously cited or arrested by this person.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Why would you have his phone number though they hit
- 43:08Speaker 1: it off in the cop card?
- 43:10Speaker 2: Possibly case number. Here's my phone number, case number, this,
- 43:14Speaker 2: that and the other, if you got any problems.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Sounds suspicious to me.
- 43:17Speaker 2: So anyway she put his his name in it's PJ.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Her drug dealer's name is also PJ.
- 43:25Speaker 1: What are the odds? What are the odds? You really
- 43:28Speaker 1: need to clarify that though in the saving of your content.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Yeah, PJ cop PG drug dealer. She allegedly later told
- 43:36Speaker 2: cops Petti John's name was similar to her drug dealers.
- 43:39Speaker 2: According to the arrest.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Was named Petted James.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Details of Will's previous interaction with the investigator.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Oh god, my story, what happened to read.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Now the stupid phone.
- 43:59Speaker 1: No, it's all also when you know, also.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Her previous and her previous interaction with the detective was
- 44:06Speaker 2: not described in the complaint.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Affidect Okay, because I think there was some fishy business
- 44:12Speaker 1: going on there. Okay, emphasis on the fishy can you think? Yes,
- 44:19Speaker 1: I was gonna say. The problem with like news articles
- 44:22Speaker 1: or recipes or anything you're reading on a web page
- 44:23Speaker 1: these days, there's so many ads that it just like
- 44:26Speaker 1: you can't read anything on.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Them now, and then jump and it jumps back to
- 44:31Speaker 2: the top of the page.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Yeah, anytime you're trying to read something that's on an
- 44:34Speaker 1: actual web page these days, it's it's annoying, and people
- 44:37Speaker 1: wonder why they get their news and stuff from like
- 44:39Speaker 1: Facebook and stuff. It's like, well, at least when I'm
- 44:41Speaker 1: written on Facebook, it just stays still right there and
- 44:43Speaker 1: I can actually read it. Right without having to, you know,
- 44:47Speaker 1: be bombarded by an ad for a kiya.
- 44:49Speaker 2: You know, cool story, Grandma. So Octavia was charged with
- 44:55Speaker 2: unlawful use of a communication device.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Really, seriously, you know what we are wasting our This
- 45:00Speaker 1: is nonsense. There's so many worse things going on in
- 45:03Speaker 1: this world. And this lady text in.
- 45:05Speaker 2: The cops and dripping with spended license.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Oh god, no, never mind thrower in death penalty. All right?
- 45:12Speaker 1: Does that it do?
- 45:13Speaker 2: Yes? That is all? That is it for Octavia wells
- 45:16Speaker 2: age forty one? Okay, who accidentally.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Texted we named our next child Octavia? Yes, all right,
- 45:24Speaker 1: I think that's it.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Oh.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I was gonna tell everybody we we you know, we
- 45:27Speaker 1: went and did after we said I said we'd never
- 45:30Speaker 1: do it. What we booked a cruise?
- 45:33Speaker 3: What are those people?
- 45:34Speaker 2: You mean we never do it?
- 45:36Speaker 1: I think last time I said I would never book
- 45:38Speaker 1: another cruise, and then I went and booked the Disney
- 45:40Speaker 1: cruise and I said, the only reason I'm doing this
- 45:42Speaker 1: is because i want them to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
- 45:47Speaker 1: But I'm not going to go to Disney World because
- 45:49Speaker 1: it was a disaster and it seems like a lot
- 45:52Speaker 1: of money for a lot of Ko, and you took
- 45:54Speaker 1: us to Disneyland Paris and then we went to Disneyland parents.
- 45:58Speaker 1: That was a different experience.
- 45:59Speaker 2: Though, that was a different experience.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, like that was like.
- 46:05Speaker 2: What I don't I thought we're gonna have to get
- 46:07Speaker 2: divorce attorneys and all.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Kinds of what are you talking about for Disneyland Paris?
- 46:10Speaker 2: Yeah? What when when we went because we were late
- 46:15Speaker 2: getting out.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Oh that was a really bad day.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Never wanted to take that back. I forgot about that.
- 46:21Speaker 1: That was like last thing. That was one of those
- 46:23Speaker 1: things that I had gotten to my head that we
- 46:25Speaker 1: were gonna go do. And then everything went wrong that morning.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Everything that morning went went wrong.
- 46:29Speaker 2: And wrong that night with the children being up, Oh.
- 46:32Speaker 1: They went they didn't go to bed till like for
- 46:34Speaker 1: some reason that night. They've been doing pretty well with
- 46:37Speaker 1: the time change and everything, and they had gone to
- 46:43Speaker 1: they you know, they laid down everything like that, and
- 46:46Speaker 1: they wouldn't go to bed till like, they wouldn't go
- 46:49Speaker 1: to bed. I want or to no, And I went,
- 46:51Speaker 1: I came out. So I'm in there with the baby.
- 46:54Speaker 1: So the baby sleeping in their little crib and we're
- 46:56Speaker 1: in a different room with the door closed. I woke
- 46:58Speaker 1: up at like one o'clock in the morning and I
- 47:00Speaker 1: hear the TV on and children up, and I about
- 47:03Speaker 1: lost my shit. I go out there. Stu is asleep
- 47:06Speaker 1: because they had because for some reason during this vacation,
- 47:09Speaker 1: they all just determined that they were going to sleep
- 47:12Speaker 1: with Stu and I was gonna and I slept with
- 47:14Speaker 1: the baby or whatever it was. She was in her
- 47:17Speaker 1: like crab or whatever.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Now you after Colemar, you were like, I'm not doing
- 47:21Speaker 2: that again. So I got stuff.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that was it. I got My daughter was
- 47:25Speaker 1: sleeping with me. And then what happened was in Colemar.
- 47:27Speaker 1: I think that I think that Airbnb was haunted and
- 47:30Speaker 1: the baby would not like she's a great like by
- 47:32Speaker 1: herself sleeper. She prefers that she likes to sprawl, you know,
- 47:36Speaker 1: spread out and everything. All of our kids are like
- 47:38Speaker 1: they they've been their sleep on their own. But anyways,
- 47:41Speaker 1: in Colemar, though, she would not sleep in that uh
- 47:44Speaker 1: that pack and play by herself. I think there was
- 47:48Speaker 1: something in that. It was a really old building, so
- 47:51Speaker 1: I think it was like haunted or whatever. So I
- 47:53Speaker 1: had to like sleep with the baby. Why are you
- 47:54Speaker 1: rolling your eyes?
- 47:57Speaker 2: No?
- 47:57Speaker 1: You're silly. Why do you why did she freak out
- 47:59Speaker 1: just that place out the other places? Then explain me that, explain.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Me that maybe it was uncomfortable mattress.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Anyway, so I had to sleep with the baby, but
- 48:08Speaker 1: I also had the four year old, well then three
- 48:10Speaker 1: year old in the bout with me, and after that,
- 48:12Speaker 1: I was like, I'm not doing skin because I need
- 48:13Speaker 1: sleep or I'm gonna be Oh. Yeah. It was also
- 48:16Speaker 1: a very terrible fold out. Anyways, moving on, so the
- 48:21Speaker 1: Paris the Disneyland thing, I was like, Okay, we're gonna
- 48:23Speaker 1: get up in the morning, we're gonna go. We don't
- 48:25Speaker 1: have to go, We're gonna get up at and try
- 48:27Speaker 1: to be there for nine whenever they opened or ten
- 48:29Speaker 1: or whatever. And I get up at like one o'clock
- 48:32Speaker 1: in the morning and those children are out there watching
- 48:34Speaker 1: TV and stew Is asleep snoring, and I felt lost
- 48:37Speaker 1: my sh I was so mad. I couldn't even believe it.
- 48:42Speaker 1: So then of course we were up late, so we
- 48:46Speaker 1: didn't get up till late the next morning, and then
- 48:49Speaker 1: it was just a disaster until we finally we ended
- 48:53Speaker 1: up not getting to Disneyland until like two o'clock in
- 48:56Speaker 1: the afternoon and we spent about five hours there. I
- 48:59Speaker 1: think you didn't see that on Instagram.
- 49:06Speaker 2: No, definitely not laden up, not the car ride there,
- 49:11Speaker 2: laden up to the car ride there.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm gonna I'm just gonna say that, yes
- 49:17Speaker 1: we had I'm not well. I never pretended like we
- 49:19Speaker 1: had like it was all magical going to Europe for
- 49:22Speaker 1: three weeks with three small children. For the most part,
- 49:25Speaker 1: it was good. But there were days where that was
- 49:27Speaker 1: one of the days. That was one of the days,
- 49:29Speaker 1: and when there was there, I think there was another
- 49:31Speaker 1: one that was really bad. Oh well, no, the one
- 49:35Speaker 1: drive did fine. There was another one that was really bad.
- 49:37Speaker 1: There was another day that was real bad. There were
- 49:41Speaker 1: two really bad days, and the Disneyland Paris one was
- 49:44Speaker 1: But once we got there it was fine. It was
- 49:46Speaker 1: just the trying to get there. It was because I
- 49:48Speaker 1: got so upset because I you know, I get in
- 49:50Speaker 1: my head like what we're gonna do, and then when
- 49:52Speaker 1: it doesn't happen, I just I spiraled, like it's on me.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Okay, yes, I know, I told you it was on
- 50:00Speaker 2: I spiraled.
- 50:01Speaker 1: He's like, the children don't even know. If we didn't
- 50:03Speaker 1: we don't go or whatever. But I already had in
- 50:05Speaker 1: my head we were gonna go do this, We're gonna
- 50:06Speaker 1: do that. So then when it doesn't work out, then
- 50:08Speaker 1: it's then I just go into not every time, but
- 50:12Speaker 1: that time, yes, it was just because we were tired
- 50:14Speaker 1: and you didn't get those children about.
- 50:19Speaker 2: I fell asleep.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I was laying there with them anyways. And then
- 50:22Speaker 1: we had one other rough really rough day.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Oh, we had the rough day in.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Whenever I just said, I'm just That's when I watched
- 50:31Speaker 1: the John Bene Ramsey documentary on Netflix in Ghent. We's
- 50:35Speaker 1: headed out the door and the two year old had
- 50:38Speaker 1: a meltdown. Like I had lowered our expectations on that
- 50:42Speaker 1: day because I was like, okay, we we drove a
- 50:45Speaker 1: long ways. We need to just have If you okay,
- 50:49Speaker 1: anybody who's listening to this and writes a bad review
- 50:51Speaker 1: that we just went on about personal stuff or whatever,
- 50:54Speaker 1: this isn't over.
- 50:54Speaker 3: The episode is over.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Okay. This is for people that act that have been
- 50:58Speaker 1: around for a long time that want to hear about
- 50:59Speaker 1: the stuff for the hebs. So yeah, the hebs do
- 51:03Speaker 1: calls the hebs the everyone, and by Stu the hebs.
- 51:08Speaker 1: So the ghint one. We had driven a long ways
- 51:12Speaker 1: the day before and so I had really lowered the
- 51:15Speaker 1: expectations of the next day. And we were outside of
- 51:19Speaker 1: the apartment for five minutes and we already had a
- 51:21Speaker 1: melt down, and I was like, fuck this. So I said,
- 51:24Speaker 1: you know what, I said, I'm taking the two year
- 51:27Speaker 1: old and the baby. We're going back to the apartment.
- 51:29Speaker 1: The two year old just needed a day. He doesn't
- 51:31Speaker 1: do as well with the he likes his routine in
- 51:34Speaker 1: his comforts. No, it was Jamison. He needed to go
- 51:39Speaker 1: back because I remember I stayed there with him. Well, no,
- 51:42Speaker 1: she melted down. You know, it's like a domino effect.
- 51:45Speaker 1: If one of them starts melting down, the other one's
- 51:47Speaker 1: just going to join in. I can't remember which one.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I think it was both of them. It might have
- 51:52Speaker 1: been both of them. Well, then he acted the full too.
- 51:56Speaker 1: He had a melt down too because he had to
- 51:57Speaker 1: go back, and that's why I stayed there with him
- 52:00Speaker 1: and she got to go to the castle. Well, so anyways,
- 52:05Speaker 1: that was the day that we just spent. I stayed
- 52:07Speaker 1: at the It was actually nice because I stayed at
- 52:09Speaker 1: the Airbnb. Stu took the three year old to the
- 52:13Speaker 1: castle so they could look for beast beauty and the best.
- 52:18Speaker 1: They went. Yeah, so they went in, They went to
- 52:20Speaker 1: the castle, had a great time, and I just stayed
- 52:23Speaker 1: back there. The Jamison he just kind of relaxed on
- 52:27Speaker 1: the couch and the baby took a good nap and everything,
- 52:30Speaker 1: and I just I just laid there and just enjoyed
- 52:33Speaker 1: the peace and quiet.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Yes, I wat. We had big plans for there and.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Well, no, we had plans to not just stay again.
- 52:41Speaker 1: We were going to do like take the train over
- 52:43Speaker 1: to Brussels. Brussels. But we quickly, like after after we
- 52:49Speaker 1: after the the Luxembourg and everything, we were like, okay,
- 52:51Speaker 1: we need to we need to chill out. We cannot
- 52:54Speaker 1: function on this trip like we would if it was
- 52:57Speaker 1: just us too. We have to lower the expectations what
- 53:01Speaker 1: we're gonna see. Anyways, after we did that, it was fine.
- 53:05Speaker 1: We did pretty well. The only other time we had
- 53:07Speaker 1: the big meltdown was Verstsi. But that's because the problem
- 53:11Speaker 1: is is that these two these two children, the two
- 53:13Speaker 1: older ones. The baby loves food, but these two older
- 53:15Speaker 1: ones they don't eat. So you like offer them food,
- 53:18Speaker 1: they don't care anything about food, getting them to eat.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Is a fad of them.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Yeah, then they're starving and then they have a meltdown.
- 53:24Speaker 1: But I can't get them to eat. They don't care
- 53:26Speaker 1: about food. It's the I don't know if that's I'm
- 53:28Speaker 1: sure it's probably a normal toddler thing, but I see
- 53:31Speaker 1: some I think it just depends though, because I see
- 53:33Speaker 1: some people say I can't keep any food in the
- 53:35Speaker 1: house because my toddler eats everything, all the fruit, all
- 53:39Speaker 1: the food, all the everything. I can't get these two
- 53:41Speaker 1: ones to eat. Now, this baby, however, she eats like
- 53:44Speaker 1: su'll eat twice as much.
- 53:45Speaker 2: As the toddlers do, and she'll steal their food.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Yeah, she steals their food. She's she's into food. These
- 53:51Speaker 1: two have never been really into food, so they don't eat.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Can't get them to eat breakfast or anything. So then
- 53:56Speaker 1: we take them out in public and all of a sudden,
- 53:58Speaker 1: the hunger his and then two year old he's can't
- 54:01Speaker 1: communicate yet, he's still learning how to talk and everything
- 54:06Speaker 1: like that, so he can't communicate what's wrong with him.
- 54:09Speaker 1: So then in Versailles, he had a full on meltdown,
- 54:11Speaker 1: like full on. We were sitting down to have the
- 54:14Speaker 1: like the hot chocolate at Angelina's and everything, and he
- 54:18Speaker 1: has this meltdown everything like that. But that was bad.
- 54:21Speaker 1: And then we got him a snack and he was fine.
- 54:24Speaker 1: But it's just like, I'm offering you food before we left, Dude, Like,
- 54:27Speaker 1: why can't you just eat it and be happy? But
- 54:30Speaker 1: you know their kids, they don't, they don't respond that
- 54:34Speaker 1: way anyways. All right, we've gone on way too long.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Anybody listen, as is your own fault.
- 54:42Speaker 3: But overall, I would say it's good.
- 54:44Speaker 1: You know. What the great thing was is that the
- 54:45Speaker 1: plane rides were excellent, and that's all I could ask for.
- 54:48Speaker 1: The rest of this stuff is same shit, different location
- 54:50Speaker 1: because that those meltdowns and stuff like that, that stuff
- 54:53Speaker 1: can happen here. Except for the thing is we hate
- 54:54Speaker 1: where we live, so we don't go anywhere heres. No,
- 54:58Speaker 1: we have two extremes. We're either a hole or we're
- 55:00Speaker 1: in a different country.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Those are more well on a vacation somewhere.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Yeah, those are our two stream. We just don't go
- 55:05Speaker 1: anywhere here. We go to little gym, and we don't
- 55:09Speaker 1: even go eat at restaurants or anything here because it's
- 55:11Speaker 1: too expensive. It's too expensive everywhere. But it's you know,
- 55:14Speaker 1: it's just like, what is the point? Pretty much so anyways,
- 55:20Speaker 1: but it wasn't it wasn't bad. We had a few obviously,
- 55:22Speaker 1: we had some low days, I would say a couple
- 55:25Speaker 1: of them, but overall it was a good experience and
- 55:29Speaker 1: people thought we couldn't do it, and we did it.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Found out the boy gets car sick or something.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we did find out he gets carsick, which
- 55:37Speaker 1: he doesn't. He rides rear facing here still, but over
- 55:40Speaker 1: there they don't. The car seats we had, like these
- 55:44Speaker 1: travel car seats or whatever, so he had to ride
- 55:46Speaker 1: forward facing, which is perfectly legal. Don't come at me.
- 55:50Speaker 1: He's technically here. He could ride forward facing, but we
- 55:53Speaker 1: choose to have him ride rear facing still. And when
- 55:56Speaker 1: he was forward facing, we found out he gets carsick
- 55:58Speaker 1: that way. So he threw up a couple of times
- 56:02Speaker 1: in the car.
- 56:03Speaker 2: Yes, one time I was milk.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Yeah, one time it was milk. The other times we
- 56:07Speaker 1: kind of learned, and then we started giving him the dramamine.
- 56:09Speaker 1: And then the last time he threw up was because
- 56:11Speaker 1: we forgot to give him the dramamine. Or we thought
- 56:14Speaker 1: he would be okay because he ate crackers before he left,
- 56:16Speaker 1: but he wasn't okay. We had to stop in and
- 56:18Speaker 1: buy pants at this thing, and then the pants were
- 56:21Speaker 1: too I got him twenty four month but he's like
- 56:23Speaker 1: tall and skinny, or he's not even really that tall,
- 56:26Speaker 1: he's just skinny. Like I said, he doesn't eat anyways.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Uh he we bought him pants and they were too big,
- 56:33Speaker 1: so they were like falling off. And when he was
- 56:34Speaker 1: walking around after I can't remember. We were going there.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Oh we were going to uh not coalmar we were
- 56:41Speaker 1: going to whatever that stros Yeah, anyways, but it was good.
- 56:48Speaker 1: We'd like to go back, but like maybe go to
- 56:50Speaker 1: Paris and go just just stay in Paris and do
- 56:53Speaker 1: all the stuff around there.
- 56:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we're definitely rushed.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't do much in Paris at all. We
- 56:59Speaker 1: just made it just that little see the Eiffel Tower
- 57:02Speaker 1: and uh yeah, just some walking around is all we did.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Started saw the Arctic Triumph and stuff and then but Paris,
- 57:10Speaker 1: everything's a lot more spread out than you think. I
- 57:12Speaker 1: guess I always just every time I've gone before, I
- 57:14Speaker 1: use the trains, but when you're walking it it's a
- 57:17Speaker 1: lot more spread out. Like some stuff was like two
- 57:19Speaker 1: miles away. I'm like, oh my God, you realize it. Yeah,
- 57:23Speaker 1: I didn't know it was that far away, Like two
- 57:24Speaker 1: miles is even if you don't have anything. That's a
- 57:27Speaker 1: long waist. I mean, that's a long time to walk
- 57:29Speaker 1: that that's at at a leisurely pace. That's an hour
- 57:32Speaker 1: to get somewhere and then turn around and come back. Anyways,
- 57:37Speaker 1: all right, well that's enough. I'm going I'm tired. Do
- 57:40Speaker 1: you have anything else? Ads too?
- 57:41Speaker 2: I do not. Well, I guess we're going on another
- 57:43Speaker 2: cruise after you said we weren't.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, we are going on the cruise. We're going
- 57:47Speaker 1: on a Royal Caribbean cruise. It's a bigger ship than
- 57:50Speaker 1: we were on last time, but it's basically the same.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Oh it's the same size. No, I thought these are bigger.
- 57:56Speaker 2: I mean that, Yeah, it's bigger. I mean for the
- 58:01Speaker 2: record books, it's bigger. One foot longer is bigger. Okay,
- 58:05Speaker 2: it's not like we're going to be on.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Like you're being generous with yourself. No, but it's it's
- 58:13Speaker 1: very similar to the ship we were on before, which
- 58:15Speaker 1: I did like that ship, just like all the things
- 58:17Speaker 1: that they had. So we are going again. We have
- 58:20Speaker 1: two we have They.
- 58:21Speaker 2: Think we accidentally booked a cruise and then found out
- 58:24Speaker 2: what ship it was on.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it was an old ass ship. It was
- 58:27Speaker 1: built like twenty twenty or whatever, twenty two thousand. It
- 58:31Speaker 1: was like twenty and I can't be doing no rust bucket,
- 58:33Speaker 1: you guys, I can I can't be. And there was like,
- 58:36Speaker 1: it's not family oriented, I guess at all, because it's
- 58:39Speaker 1: I'm sure it is. Well, no, it's not.
- 58:40Speaker 2: I ain't got all the cool stuff that throw one.
- 58:42Speaker 1: No. I read a bunch of a bunch of things
- 58:45Speaker 1: that people said those are for those ships are more
- 58:47Speaker 1: for like just adults, because there's not all these bells
- 58:50Speaker 1: and whistles and boardwalks and central parks and carousels. Is
- 58:55Speaker 1: there's nothing like for children on there. It's it's an
- 58:58Speaker 1: older ship, more for adults. And it's they said, it's
- 59:01Speaker 1: like they're like old. I mean it's been around for
- 59:04Speaker 1: twenty plus years, Stewart. That's a lot of human stuff. Okay. Anyway,
- 59:09Speaker 1: so we are going on the same route we went
- 59:11Speaker 1: the last time we went on Royal Caribbean. Yes, and
- 59:15Speaker 1: we have two rooms now because our family is too
- 59:18Speaker 1: big for one room.
- 59:19Speaker 2: Because they want eight thousand dollars for one.
- 59:21Speaker 1: Room anyways for a suite or whatever one of these
- 59:24Speaker 1: like one bedroom suites or whatever. They I don't even
- 59:27Speaker 1: know if it's a suite, it's it's a little bit
- 59:30Speaker 1: bigger room. Disney's the only one that you can book
- 59:32Speaker 1: online for five people without having to call in one room.
- 59:37Speaker 1: So Royal Cribbon. We ended up getting two rooms. We
- 59:39Speaker 1: got a really good deal because we were actually afraid
- 59:41Speaker 1: we were never gonna be able to go on vacation
- 59:43Speaker 1: again after we tried to look at like a all
- 59:45Speaker 1: inclusive or a or a cruise last time, or like
- 59:51Speaker 1: a couple months ago, we were looking and we're like, Okay,
- 59:52Speaker 1: this is way too expensive. We're never going to be
- 59:54Speaker 1: able to go anywhere ever again. And Disney's way too expensive.
- 59:58Speaker 1: We can't go on that again. Let's like in three years.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: As if the baby's obsessed with mini.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Your that requires playing tickets and everything.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Yeah, well now you can go to out of Galveston.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: I got Disney out of Galveston.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Yeah really, Yeah, it's just Disney's expensive. You can all
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: we can all go in one room, but it's expensive.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: So anyways, the World Criby and we got a really
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: good deal. We got two rooms anyways. Okay, nobody wants.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: To hear this that I should have stopped a long
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: time ago.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Okay, well we should stop now. I gotta go. I
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: gotta go to bed. I got morning.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: We do. Let's go to bed.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Baby, No, all right, and that's it for us. Anything else?
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Do anything else? Do?
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: I'm there now, okay, all right.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: We will see you next time. By everyone, say bye, stunt.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: You know it's bad to be SUPERSTI shots by not
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: being else.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: It's working, and my hand is bringing and hurting and
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: a shako. It's worrying.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Boutly I can
