- 0:02Speaker 1: Welcome to the Node Palty.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hi.
- 0:06Speaker 3: This is Nick and Ostasu, story editor on Star Wars,
- 0:10Speaker 3: the Clone Wars and Star Wars bad Batch. And you
- 0:14Speaker 3: are listening to Aggressive Negotiations.
- 0:24Speaker 4: That's right, you're an Aggressive Negotiations, the Star Wars podcast
- 0:27Speaker 4: that explores the Star Wars galaxy, that galaxy far far away,
- 0:31Speaker 4: a little differently than other Star Wars shows. I am
- 0:34Speaker 4: one of your humble hosts, Jedi Master John Mills, and
- 0:38Speaker 4: joining me on this journey of great exploration is the
- 0:42Speaker 4: intrepid Jedi Master Matthew Rushing.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Matt, are you ready.
- 0:46Speaker 4: To get rollin' with the deep dive topic as they
- 0:50Speaker 4: like to say here on Aggressive Negotiations?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Well? I am.
- 0:55Speaker 1: But for a second there, I thought you were going
- 0:56Speaker 1: to talk about the great expectation, and then I wasn't
- 0:59Speaker 1: sure if you were. You know, we were doing Charles
- 1:03Speaker 1: Diggins podcast, and I was a little confused. But yeah,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I'm with you now. I'm so ready. I think we
- 1:09Speaker 1: actually have a really fun, lively talk at tonight, as
- 1:14Speaker 1: we are so often do for our listeners. So I'm
- 1:17Speaker 1: excited for everybody who's listening.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I'm excited for everybody who's listening as well. Because they
- 1:21Speaker 4: made a good choice, and another good choice that could
- 1:23Speaker 4: make is go over to Apple Podcasts and give us
- 1:26Speaker 4: a star rating and review. We appreciate it. We really
- 1:29Speaker 4: really do. We do this for the love of the game.
- 1:31Speaker 4: As we like to say, We have a couple of
- 1:33Speaker 4: emails we want to get around to. But I'll tell
- 1:35Speaker 4: you it has been some really great topics thrown at us,
- 1:38Speaker 4: but it has been very, very difficult to sort of
- 1:41Speaker 4: organize things. I'll tell you the hyperspace lanes have been
- 1:45Speaker 4: absolutely hectic lately, So thank you for bearing with us.
- 1:49Speaker 4: But we have a topic here that I think is
- 1:50Speaker 4: gonna be really interesting to explore because I'm listening right
- 1:55Speaker 4: now to the new audiobook recording of Shadows of the Empire. Yes,
- 2:00Speaker 4: and there's there's a lot of good stuff in there,
- 2:02Speaker 4: Like it's just it's a even if it's not great literature,
- 2:06Speaker 4: like Charles Dickens, who we were referencing earlier, it's still
- 2:11Speaker 4: really enjoyable. As Steve Perry, not the lead singer of Journey,
- 2:14Speaker 4: wrote the book and just really got the characterizations down.
- 2:17Speaker 4: It's a lot of fun and the new audiobook is
- 2:20Speaker 4: wonderful too. But it got me to thinking we have
- 2:24Speaker 4: different interactions. Moostafar doesn't exist at the time that this
- 2:28Speaker 4: book has written, so we don't.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Have Vader's castle.
- 2:31Speaker 4: But then I was thinking to myself, when we're on Coruscant,
- 2:34Speaker 4: where is the Emperor living? Hmmm, like where would it
- 2:40Speaker 4: make sense for him to live in the original trilogy
- 2:43Speaker 4: era on Corussant.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I love that you're asking this question
- 2:49Speaker 1: because it was something, you know, the moment that you
- 2:52Speaker 1: brought it up, I started thinking about this idea, and
- 2:56Speaker 1: I honestly can't remember, but because if memory serves, I
- 3:04Speaker 1: feel like, uh that in the X Wing books, when
- 3:10Speaker 1: you know, the whole that whole series is really leading
- 3:13Speaker 1: up to them to retaking Courissant, and I feel like
- 3:17Speaker 1: when they got to Coorissant that the Emperor had turned
- 3:22Speaker 1: the Jedi Temple basically into his own personal like museum,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and and you know, I don't know, you know, if
- 3:30Speaker 1: it's it's still true and Cannon, but I feel like
- 3:33Speaker 1: as well that.
- 3:36Speaker 2: That it was.
- 3:38Speaker 1: The eu version that the the Jedi Temple had been
- 3:41Speaker 1: placed on kind of a dark side nexus of the
- 3:44Speaker 1: force as well, like as if to cover it or something.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And so I've always thought that you know, the idea
- 3:55Speaker 1: of the Emperor kind of utilizing the Jedi Temple is
- 4:00Speaker 1: his own personal like bragging rights, you know, and turning
- 4:05Speaker 1: it into basically his own private domain that nobody is
- 4:11Speaker 1: allowed to enter anymore. Uh, and that you know, he's
- 4:16Speaker 1: continued his research that he's been doing that. We know
- 4:21Speaker 1: that he's been doing uh and those type of things.
- 4:25Speaker 1: And you know, I like to think that, you know,
- 4:28Speaker 1: he turned what was once uh the the Jedi Council
- 4:32Speaker 1: chambers in his own personal bedroom, you know, just as
- 4:37Speaker 1: a you know, middle finger to the Jedi. And so
- 4:41Speaker 1: that was that was my first thought, is is where
- 4:45Speaker 1: Palpatine would live? Because it just seems so petty and
- 4:49Speaker 1: vigndictive and so Palpatine really, you.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Know, I think that there's a lot of merit to that.
- 4:57Speaker 4: I have to go back and reread the x Wing
- 4:59Speaker 4: novel because I no.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I was just thinking that too. I was like, I
- 5:02Speaker 1: should just go back and reread those.
- 5:04Speaker 4: I could have sworn with them, pre dating the prequels
- 5:08Speaker 4: at least to some extent. I have to go back
- 5:11Speaker 4: and re explore the expression of Corescant back then, because
- 5:15Speaker 4: I know that a lot of the visualization around Coroissant
- 5:18Speaker 4: was not complete city planet. Like there's more natural life
- 5:25Speaker 4: on Coroiscant in the EU of the nineties than there
- 5:28Speaker 4: is in the Clone Wars or you know, even the
- 5:33Speaker 4: prequel books. And I think that there's a lot of
- 5:38Speaker 4: merit to the Emperor using the Jedi Temple as an
- 5:43Speaker 4: administrative building, because what do you do when you have
- 5:47Speaker 4: some sort of authoritarian regime takeover is they come in
- 5:53Speaker 4: and they erase history. And so this would make even
- 5:57Speaker 4: sense in terms of racing history where people if they say, oh, no,
- 6:03Speaker 4: that was the you know, the Jedi Temple, Where was
- 6:05Speaker 4: the Jedi Temple? That No, that's that's the Imperial you know, uh,
- 6:09Speaker 4: city Hall or whatever that that that couldn't have been it.
- 6:12Speaker 4: It had to be somewhere else, and suddenly nobody can
- 6:14Speaker 4: remember where it was in terms of the Emperor living there.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Though I love the idea and I but I don't.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Latch onto it for one specific reason, and that's because
- 6:28Speaker 4: I think it's even more heartless, even more soulless, to
- 6:32Speaker 4: completely strip it of anything except a sterile bureaucratic function. Yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 4: it doesn't even give it the dignity of hating it
- 6:40Speaker 4: openly it's just a building. It's a it's it's just
- 6:45Speaker 4: a stupid building that nobody likes.
- 6:47Speaker 2: To go to.
- 6:48Speaker 4: It's like the d m V on Corruson or something
- 6:50Speaker 4: like that, right where it's like they suddenly turned it.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Give you Okay, that's that's hilarious.
- 6:56Speaker 4: I love that, And I think you know, and we
- 7:02Speaker 4: can't put him. We can't put him underground because of course,
- 7:09Speaker 4: like we all know that, in the original treatment for
- 7:12Speaker 4: or the original development, I mean in pre production too,
- 7:15Speaker 4: for Return of the Jedi, they had him in a
- 7:18Speaker 4: lava field underneath the city and that's too Moostafar now,
- 7:25Speaker 4: so we can't really cross over there. So let me
- 7:27Speaker 4: ask you this question, did he live on Coroiscant at all?
- 7:34Speaker 4: Because I have another idea, but I want to see
- 7:37Speaker 4: I want to just throw the question at you. If
- 7:39Speaker 4: he didn't live on Coroiscant, where would you have him live.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a great question because you don't get the
- 7:50Speaker 1: sense that it would be like Naboo, right, that that
- 7:53Speaker 1: feels that doesn't feel right for Palpatine. And you know,
- 8:00Speaker 1: of course, you know Mustafar also isn't right for Palpatine.
- 8:04Speaker 1: That's that's not going to be the place that he lives.
- 8:06Speaker 1: You know, that's that's the planet he kind of makes
- 8:09Speaker 1: Vader live on to to you know, get him to
- 8:13Speaker 1: over exercise the demons of that place. And so yeah,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I mean, ah my gosh, where.
- 8:22Speaker 2: See I know.
- 8:23Speaker 4: But before you move forward, though, the Emperor living on
- 8:26Speaker 4: Naboo makes sense because that is that's sticking a thumb
- 8:30Speaker 4: in Vader's eye. You make Vader live on Moosafar where
- 8:34Speaker 4: he gets totally messed up by his best friend. Yes,
- 8:36Speaker 4: and then you live on Naboo where you're like, oh,
- 8:39Speaker 4: look at this beautiful place that looks like the life
- 8:41Speaker 4: you thought you could have had.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Oh, but it's mine.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Like that feels like a Sith type of thing to
- 8:47Speaker 4: just give the middle finger to his own apprentice.
- 8:51Speaker 1: See I I think you know, I hadn't thought of
- 8:55Speaker 1: it that way, But you discussing it like that actually
- 9:02Speaker 1: makes sense because it is kind of the double bird
- 9:06Speaker 1: basically that he's being he's giving to Vader of like, oh,
- 9:10Speaker 1: I'm making you live on Mustafar basically, h like, I've
- 9:14Speaker 1: given you that planet as if it's some like great
- 9:16Speaker 1: thing to be given.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Uh.
- 9:17Speaker 1: And but I live on the place that you know,
- 9:20Speaker 1: your wife was from uh and so that.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Yeah, that's really interesting.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Oh what if he even lived in the lake house,
- 9:28Speaker 1: Like what if that was his private residence?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Right, that would be awesome, that would be freaking awesome.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Even the Theberri family like comes to great misfortune and then.
- 9:40Speaker 2: He just sees like, oh I got that, I got
- 9:41Speaker 2: it in a steel.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Okay, that's a you saying that. Does the Naberi family
- 9:48Speaker 1: just disappear from history?
- 9:49Speaker 2: Oh?
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yes, oh god, yes, Oh there's no way. There's no
- 9:52Speaker 4: way Palpatine lets them exist. No, there, they're they're a
- 9:57Speaker 4: memory of better times. Like again, it may by disappearing
- 10:02Speaker 4: people that are tied to people in the past, right
- 10:07Speaker 4: as Stalin did it. You know, North Korea does it now,
- 10:11Speaker 4: Like they disappear people so that when people are trying
- 10:15Speaker 4: to remember what was happening, they can't anymore. They get
- 10:20Speaker 4: them out of the records. But then additionally, it's a
- 10:23Speaker 4: clear sign you step out of line. You don't even
- 10:25Speaker 4: exist anymore, you will, history won't even consider you a footnote.
- 10:29Speaker 5: You just you're not there. Like that's you know, creepy
- 10:33Speaker 5: and terrible to begin with.
- 10:34Speaker 4: But no, I mean you agree, I'm thinking I mean
- 10:38Speaker 4: and the Beery's got to go right.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Well, I mean, see, I kind of you know, when
- 10:43Speaker 1: I asked the question, I was thinking, I just don't
- 10:46Speaker 1: see I don't see them living, right, Like, I feel
- 10:53Speaker 1: like Palpatine finds a way to take them out. And
- 10:57Speaker 1: mainly it feels as though you don't want anybody who
- 11:02Speaker 1: possibly could know the truth about Anakin and padme. And
- 11:08Speaker 1: you know, even though you know it was not seen
- 11:11Speaker 1: in the film, right we we did not see uh
- 11:14Speaker 1: Anakin visit her family? Uh me too, me too, But
- 11:22Speaker 1: but that doesn't mean that the possibility that that happened
- 11:28Speaker 1: isn't there? Right that that that and especially too right
- 11:32Speaker 1: in attack of the Clones. I can't imagine that her
- 11:36Speaker 1: family doesn't know, uh you know that she is in danger,
- 11:41Speaker 1: uh and that you know, it just feels as though
- 11:46Speaker 1: they would have known a lot of those details, right,
- 11:49Speaker 1: and they could have put more pieces together easily. And
- 11:53Speaker 1: so no, I think you're absolutely right that Palpatine is
- 11:56Speaker 1: not going to let them live. And again, this sticking
- 12:00Speaker 1: the eye to Vader really is you know, the possibility
- 12:05Speaker 1: of him living there, which I think you know is
- 12:10Speaker 1: such a fascinating thing. I also, you know, I also
- 12:18Speaker 1: have always wondered, you know, we tend to you know,
- 12:21Speaker 1: in in and Or, actually we never saw Palpatine be
- 12:25Speaker 1: in the Senate, but in in you know, in episode three, right,
- 12:31Speaker 1: we saw that he has underneath the Senate, you know,
- 12:37Speaker 1: he has his layer basically of the High Chancellor or
- 12:42Speaker 1: of the Chancellor the Republic at that point. And that
- 12:45Speaker 1: also makes me kind of wonder is it did then
- 12:48Speaker 1: is the possibility that he expanded that under the rotunda
- 12:55Speaker 1: and and and this gets into kind of a more
- 12:58Speaker 1: esoteric thought. And the reason would be is because even
- 13:03Speaker 1: though he's not necessarily seen in the Senate much, his
- 13:07Speaker 1: ability to sway through the dark side the Senate and
- 13:13Speaker 1: its dealings with him being underneath the Senate building allows
- 13:19Speaker 1: him to be able to do something like that. So
- 13:23Speaker 1: you know, he's subtly influencing senators throughout the force, which
- 13:27Speaker 1: I think, you know, to me seems like a plausibility
- 13:30Speaker 1: and actually, you know, not out of the realm of
- 13:35Speaker 1: possibility for somebody like Palpatine to want to do, because
- 13:38Speaker 1: you know, he loves to control things.
- 13:41Speaker 2: The idea has a lot of merit.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I think that Palpatine atter a certain point doesn't need
- 13:48Speaker 4: to exert the dark side on the Senate. It just happens,
- 13:53Speaker 4: I mean, if anything as well, and they definitely don't
- 13:56Speaker 4: go this route in anything we've seen on screen, But
- 13:59Speaker 4: in my brain, I think that Palpatine also eventually starts
- 14:03Speaker 4: whittling down the Senate so that the number of people
- 14:07Speaker 4: in that August body gets smaller and smaller, so that
- 14:11Speaker 4: he can keep the power concentrated on a few key allies.
- 14:19Speaker 4: And then with the people who aren't his allies, they
- 14:25Speaker 4: realize they're in the even more precarious position of not
- 14:28Speaker 4: stepping down, and so like the Senate, instead of being
- 14:32Speaker 4: a thousand thousand worlds all giving voice and voting just
- 14:36Speaker 4: over time, eventually comes down to a couple hundred where
- 14:41Speaker 4: it's like they're regional senators instead of senators.
- 14:44Speaker 5: From each planet.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Right, that's represented because you know, streamlining and efficiency and
- 14:49Speaker 4: we want to get things done quickly and everything like
- 14:52Speaker 4: that is an easy sell.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah, And.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I want to throw a the idea out at you
- 15:01Speaker 4: because I think your idea has a lot of merit.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Also because then Palpatine can show up when he wants to.
- 15:09Speaker 4: But we've seen on screen that when Palpatine does show up,
- 15:12Speaker 4: it sort of takes people's breath away where they're like
- 15:14Speaker 4: whoa whow hey, oh no.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Like he did in that episode of The Bad Batch,
- 15:20Speaker 1: right right, he's suddenly there, yeah, meaning he's not there,
- 15:24Speaker 1: Like nobody's quite sure where he is.
- 15:26Speaker 5: So when he shows up, it's like, oh my gosh.
- 15:31Speaker 4: I would throw this idea out there that maybe before
- 15:36Speaker 4: the Second Death Star started getting built and stuff like that,
- 15:40Speaker 4: if Palpatine lived on Endoor or the Moon of Endor,
- 15:44Speaker 4: however you want to address it, where he just had
- 15:49Speaker 4: something where like just think about it, like he's buried
- 15:53Speaker 4: in a forest somewhere. It's almost like a perverted flip
- 15:57Speaker 4: in a weird way of he's living on this lush,
- 16:01Speaker 4: forested moon with giant trees, while Yoda's living in the dark,
- 16:05Speaker 4: dank swamp. You know, when Yoda's the ultimate being of
- 16:09Speaker 4: light and he's the ultimate being of darkness. And the
- 16:11Speaker 4: way that they mask themselves is they live among a
- 16:15Speaker 4: lot of the living force, but masked by stuff that
- 16:21Speaker 4: isn't them. Yeah, that's sort of the antithesis of them.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Yoda's in a tough place with monsters, and Palpatine is
- 16:30Speaker 4: in this beautiful place with nature and harmony, and that's
- 16:35Speaker 4: just complete antithesis of him making him harder to sense.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Yeah. No, I mean again, that's one of those things
- 16:44Speaker 1: where I mean it actually does make a lot of sense,
- 16:47Speaker 1: the idea of you know, him being in a place
- 16:52Speaker 1: like that. Plus I think when you think about it,
- 16:56Speaker 1: it's a really unexpected place, right to find Palpatine. Uh,
- 17:00Speaker 1: and and so him having some sort of place there
- 17:03Speaker 1: makes sense, you know. Also, I mean it's cannon, you know.
- 17:08Speaker 1: So we know that he had these repositories all over
- 17:13Speaker 1: and so in some ways, you know, he had one
- 17:16Speaker 1: on Jackku, and he had one in other places. You know,
- 17:19Speaker 1: we learned through the extended universe that's been created now
- 17:25Speaker 1: through Disney.
- 17:26Speaker 4: So let's let's bring somebody to speed who may or
- 17:29Speaker 4: may not be on the other microphone right now, Uh,
- 17:32Speaker 4: clue them in on this repositories thing, or jog his
- 17:37Speaker 4: memory because he might have forgotten what you're talking about.
- 17:39Speaker 1: So, you know, especially it's in the Aftermath books and
- 17:43Speaker 1: it's in other books that have come out as that
- 17:48Speaker 1: the Emperor had had places, uh secret places around the
- 17:52Speaker 1: galaxy where he had stored information. And uh, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I guess now it even makes slightly more sense in
- 18:01Speaker 1: light of Ahsoka, right when we know that there's a
- 18:04Speaker 1: whole other universe and so uh and and in some
- 18:08Speaker 1: ways kind of keeping watch on what might come outside
- 18:13Speaker 1: the universe, uh and places for him to keep you know.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Okay, I remember now, I remember what you talked about.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So uh and and and and that that's also a
- 18:26Speaker 1: place too where again uh. You know the fact that
- 18:29Speaker 1: he has all these areas set up, it makes sense
- 18:33Speaker 1: then for him to to you know, he doesn't necessarily
- 18:36Speaker 1: live in just one place. He can kind of bounce
- 18:38Speaker 1: from place to place yea uh and and which would
- 18:41Speaker 1: also make sense that you know, when he's not on
- 18:44Speaker 1: course ont uh that you know, he would not be
- 18:50Speaker 1: readily he would not be easily found, right Like you
- 18:56Speaker 1: wouldn't necessarily know where he was, because he kind of
- 19:00Speaker 1: bounces from location to location. And so that that's also
- 19:04Speaker 1: another thing when you think about where he might live.
- 19:07Speaker 1: You know that he had definitely plenty of places in
- 19:10Speaker 1: the galaxy where he could have gone.
- 19:12Speaker 2: See.
- 19:13Speaker 4: See, I really plug into that idea that the Emperor
- 19:16Speaker 4: is constantly on the go, and not just because he
- 19:22Speaker 4: wants to be hard to find, but because he's also
- 19:25Speaker 4: constantly seeking these artifacts and talismans of power that will
- 19:30Speaker 4: enhance his dark side connections and additionally going.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Out there.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Because he has all of these different places investigating ways
- 19:42Speaker 4: to keep him alive, to cheat death rightly and so,
- 19:46Speaker 4: and he's hiding them from Vader too. And so he's
- 19:49Speaker 4: got there thing where it's like, you know, left hand
- 19:52Speaker 4: never knows what the right hand is doing. And he's
- 19:54Speaker 4: got all of these things where it's like, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 4: he goes, you know to you know, he goes to
- 19:59Speaker 4: Tan and it's like, oh.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Hey, this is a really cool idea. That's really good.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Oh that didn't work out. Well, it's a good thing.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I had this other idea over here.
- 20:05Speaker 4: I'm just gonna fly over there really quick, and I'm
- 20:08Speaker 4: going to check that out and just have these competing
- 20:12Speaker 4: dark laboratories perverting science and nature right to his to
- 20:17Speaker 4: his ends.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Well, and I mean, you know, whether we like it
- 20:20Speaker 1: or not, as well, it's pretty clear that Exagal is
- 20:25Speaker 1: also a place that you would would be able to
- 20:28Speaker 1: find Palpatine every once in a while, I'm sure. And
- 20:33Speaker 1: it being a place that is very difficult to get
- 20:35Speaker 1: to and very hidden, you know, also makes sense for
- 20:39Speaker 1: it being a great location for him, I don't. I
- 20:42Speaker 1: don't think of that as being his main place of residence.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Really more of a vacation home.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. I mean, it's just all about it all.
- 20:53Speaker 1: It's all about the views. And you know, clones of
- 20:57Speaker 1: oneself that are hideous. I mean, can you ask for
- 21:02Speaker 1: better views?
- 21:04Speaker 4: You know, honestly, if I made a giant vats of
- 21:07Speaker 4: hideous clones of myself, I would be too tempted to
- 21:10Speaker 4: form some sort of perverted boy band sort of thing.
- 21:14Speaker 4: And just you know, I mean, why not embrace it?
- 21:17Speaker 4: Just go ahead, and it's like there are five of
- 21:19Speaker 4: me and we're like the in sync of the Star
- 21:22Speaker 4: Wars Galaxy. But if anybody boos us or doesn't buy
- 21:25Speaker 4: our album, I can shoot forced lightning. Yeah at any
- 21:28Speaker 4: I mean.
- 21:29Speaker 5: You're deserving at that point.
- 21:31Speaker 2: So you know, you just you gotta want it. That's
- 21:33Speaker 2: the real trick. You gotta want it.
- 21:35Speaker 4: But I think that moving around idea is really slick.
- 21:40Speaker 4: But I like, I still think a permanent like the
- 21:43Speaker 4: place where he receives people. I don't think, and I
- 21:47Speaker 4: know this flies in the face of any sort of
- 21:50Speaker 4: idea of canon. I just think it's not on Coorissant.
- 21:53Speaker 4: That's the one thing is I don't think the Emperor
- 21:55Speaker 4: lives on Chorissant because it's too.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Obvious, I guess.
- 22:03Speaker 4: And by being off of Coruissant, but never like he doesn't.
- 22:08Speaker 4: I'm not saying he announces that. I'm saying, like, very
- 22:12Speaker 4: few people know he doesn't live there.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Right, Well, And I was just thinking, like, Vader has
- 22:19Speaker 1: the Executor, right, and so we've seen his ship, but
- 22:25Speaker 1: have we ever seen the Emperorship other than the one
- 22:29Speaker 1: that he flies in, you know, which is really just
- 22:33Speaker 1: a hyperspace shuttle, you know, and so like, have we
- 22:38Speaker 1: ever I don't feel like we ever saw a vehicle,
- 22:42Speaker 1: and so it makes me wonder, then is there a
- 22:47Speaker 1: ship then that the Emperor has? You know, obviously he's
- 22:51Speaker 1: doing all this traveling, but I mean, is this like
- 22:53Speaker 1: a top secret super secret ship that like we've never
- 22:56Speaker 1: seen in Star Wars, which now we all need to
- 22:59Speaker 1: see because uh, you know, it was the Infor's personal ride.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I would argue that we did see the Emperor's personal
- 23:06Speaker 4: ride and it was called a death Star. Unfortunately they
- 23:09Speaker 4: both got totaled, so you know, which of course makes me,
- 23:14Speaker 4: well it just makes me think of robot chickens exactly,
- 23:16Speaker 4: That's what I think.
- 23:17Speaker 2: It wasn't even paid off.
- 23:19Speaker 5: We'll just go to my credit I didn't pay this
- 23:20Speaker 5: thing off yet.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Oh just build another one where we got the money
- 23:26Speaker 4: for that atm on that torso light fright of you.
- 23:31Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I just immediately go right into that phone call.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I can't help it. I can't help it.
- 23:36Speaker 1: What an absolutely It just makes me think of the
- 23:39Speaker 1: triumphant comic dog, you know, or he's like talking to
- 23:42Speaker 1: the guy who's gonna Vader thing. Is this the button
- 23:44Speaker 1: I pressed to call your mommy to come pick you up?
- 23:53Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, Oh, thank goodness for the Internet keeping
- 23:56Speaker 4: these bits alive for all time. Just back with people
- 24:00Speaker 4: had senses of humor about themselves. What a magical time
- 24:03Speaker 4: we lived through. How I miss it? But what I
- 24:07Speaker 4: don't miss Matt is harassing you online, which is something
- 24:10Speaker 4: I think that everybody else should do because it's a fun,
- 24:13Speaker 4: fun thing. So where can people find you out there online?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Oh gosh, so all over social media. If I'm on
- 24:19Speaker 1: the platform, you will find my name under the Matt
- 24:22Speaker 1: Rushing zero two. Of course, here on the network, I've
- 24:24Speaker 1: got a completed show called Owl Posts I did with
- 24:27Speaker 1: Dray Kaufman as we talked about every single chapter of
- 24:29Speaker 1: the Harry Potter series, one chapter time and then over
- 24:31Speaker 1: on the TFM network. Of course, you'll find me on
- 24:33Speaker 1: the six or two Club, where John is a frequent guest,
- 24:36Speaker 1: talking about Star Wars and all of those other fandoms
- 24:38Speaker 1: that we love, as well as quite a few shows
- 24:42Speaker 1: talking to my good friend Chris Jones about Star Trek.
- 24:45Speaker 1: So check all of that out. But John, if you
- 24:48Speaker 1: know people have an idea of where they think Palpatine
- 24:52Speaker 1: lived and they wanted to share it with you, where would.
- 24:53Speaker 4: They find you, Well, you can find me on your
- 24:55Speaker 4: social network of choice as Kessel Junkie kes s E
- 24:59Speaker 4: l j U n K, you know, Letterboxes, where I
- 25:02Speaker 4: have the most fun because I watch a lot of movies.
- 25:05Speaker 4: And speaking of watching a lot of movies, I'm also
- 25:07Speaker 4: co hosting a show here on the network called House
- 25:11Speaker 4: Lights with Tristan Model and Darren Moser, where I weekly
- 25:15Speaker 4: remind them of why my movie reviews are the best
- 25:19Speaker 4: ones and that everybody should agree with them. Although Tristan
- 25:22Speaker 4: will have his car catch on fire at some point
- 25:26Speaker 4: in the near future, I'm not saying to me saying
- 25:28Speaker 4: it will eventually happen. And of course, since you talked
- 25:32Speaker 4: about Star Trek when I'm offline, I've gone so far
- 25:36Speaker 4: as to get my youngest padawan to watch the animated
- 25:39Speaker 4: series of Star Trek on the strength of the fact
- 25:43Speaker 4: that she loves the Clone Wars and it has opened
- 25:46Speaker 4: up her mind to franchise animation. So let that be
- 25:50Speaker 4: a note everybody that the Clone Wars has even helped
- 25:54Speaker 4: make somebody else a Star Trek fan. How crazy is
- 25:59Speaker 4: that while you chew on that, I will be chewing
- 26:03Speaker 4: on a Banfa steak in the cafeteria at the Jedi Temple.
- 26:06Speaker 4: And I believe I just heard the lunch bell ring.
- 26:08Speaker 4: So Master Rushing, I think it's time to close these negotiations, John,
- 26:14Speaker 4: negotiations are closed.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Join the Revolution, Join the Nerd Party.
