Latest / Everyday Ancestral with James Barry / Doing Everything 'Right' But Still Sick? How Lymph, Fascia & Breath Block Healing | Kelly Kennedy
Transcript
- 0:00I was a decrepit 20-year-old, and I'm a strong 52-year-old postmenopausal woman
- 0:04that could probably run circles around most of the people that we know.
- 0:07I don't fight disease.
- 0:08I find why your body isn't healing and help you support your body to heal.
- 0:13The first rule that I teach is to first shift the gear into neutral.
- 0:17There's two blockades to it not working.
- 0:20How do we apply the same science to every single person?
- 0:23As a chef of 20-plus years, I've always been about taste.
- 0:26But it was becoming a father that made me really start to think about function.
- 0:30Because I want my kids to thrive and I want to be around long enough to witness it.
- 0:35And it was when my daughter became ill.
- 0:37My wife and I, we struggled to get the right nutrients in her.
- 0:40It was a true wake-up call.
- 0:41That experience is why Pluck was created.
- 0:44So Pluck is a superfood seasoning made with 100% grass-fed beef organ meats
- 0:49blended with organic spices and herbs.
- 0:51The beautiful thing is it doesn't taste like organ meats.
- 0:53It just tastes like the seasoning you're already using.
- 0:56but better because when you add it, you're adding these bioavailable nutrients that your body can
- 1:02actually use.
- 1:04If you can salt it, you can pluck it.

- 1:15So many people are eating better, taking supplements,
- 1:18doing the protocols and still wondering why they don't feel better.
- 1:22Well, today I'm joined by Kelly
- 1:24Kennedy, known as the lymph queen, the fascia fairy.
- 1:27And she helps people understand what may
- 1:30be blocking the body from healing from lymph and fascia to scars, oxygen, water, and the nervous
- 1:36system.
- 1:37I wanted to go right into, you know, the people that are doing everything right, right?
- 1:43Because everyone thinks they are, but what are we missing?
- 1:47You know, James, your podcast and our
- 1:49work is so connected because it is about that primal instinct and the connection to the fact
- 1:55that yes, we are very physical beings and we have a primal instinct that's kept us safe, that's
- 1:59helped us get to the point where we live in houses and we don't have to go fight the saber-toothed
- 2:04tiger, that we have wonderful like pluck seasoning so we don't have to eat organ meat.
- 2:08We're smart
- 2:09enough to figure that out.
- 2:10Thank goodness.
- 2:11Thank you for making that because I don't like organ
- 2:12meat, but I love pluck.
- 2:14The human part of us, the physical part of us, keeps us in safety mode.
- 2:21But
- 2:21what I'm here to say is that most people are in fight-flight, freeze mode, functionally working
- 2:26through life, but they're not actually in rest-heal.
- 2:29And so when the body is not wrangling
- 2:35its mammal, is what I call it, when it doesn't calm the nervous system down, when it doesn't say,
- 2:40hey, you're not in fight flight.
- 2:42It's okay that you have a cashew in front of you and it used to
- 2:46cause histamine reactions and you've now changed your microbiome.
- 2:50You've changed so you don't
- 2:51expect the same reaction that that's actually your spirit trusting your body, trusting that
- 2:56your spirit can heal.
- 2:57Because what I know to be true from studying science and my life's work of
- 3:0225 years is that the thing inside of us is the only thing that heals.
- 3:07We are smart enough.
- 3:08We've
- 3:08evolved to this point where we can use modern technology to incite the ancient wisdom that we
- 3:16know from our ancestors of what actually keeps us well and healthy, which is sunshine, which is
- 3:20those foundational principles that you and I both teach, that it's not about adding things.
- 3:25It's
- 3:26actually about getting back to being the divine being, having a physical experience and being
- 3:32conscious of that fact and trusting the thing in us that grew us when we were in our mom's uteruses.
- 3:38The moms trusted that innate wisdom, that intelligence, that force of nature that grew us in the abdomen and the uteruses.
- 3:47It comes out and then everybody goes, oh my gosh, how do we take care of it?
- 3:50We must have to inject it.
- 3:51We must have to do things to it.
- 3:53And as you saw in your own family story, it wasn't about adding all the man-made process stuff.
- 3:59It was getting back to nature.
- 4:00It was getting back to what God gave us that is deficient in modern lifestyle that actually is what is the underlying root cause of dis-ease, I'm here to say, is modern lifestyle.
- 4:11Yeah, 100%.
- 4:13Very on board with that.
- 4:15And I'm also constantly trying to navigate how to support
- 4:20others and getting on board with that.
- 4:22And it seems to me like there is a huge disconnect,
- 4:25and it almost seems like it's been socialized out of us to even look at our bodies as divine,
- 4:34to even look at ourselves as forms of energy.
- 4:37We're both of age where we can look back and
- 4:39remember, like there was a time where if you talk anything like energy work or anything like the
- 4:45people were like, woo, you're like, you're crazy, right?
- 4:48Only now are we seeing people go like,
- 4:50oh, yeah, maybe there is more than what I see before me.
- 4:53But how do we support this mindset
- 4:58change?
- 4:59Or really, in a sense, it's a reclaiming of an ancestral mindset because our ancestors
- 5:05were open to this spiritual, unknown, unseen energy?
- 5:10For me, it's the only question that's important, right?
- 5:12It's like, how and why are we here
- 5:14and how do we get the best out of this experience
- 5:17while we're here?
- 5:17Yes.
- 5:18How do we live the highest quality of life
- 5:20completely connected to what this is really about,
- 5:23which is that we're divinely connected?
- 5:26For me, it's two things.
- 5:29You have the intellect, you have the education,
- 5:31and that's why you and I have podcasts
- 5:34and I have membership forums and I make social media content and I'm constantly pouring in to
- 5:40educate, to reframe.
- 5:43And then the second is experience.
- 5:44You and I are of an age and perhaps
- 5:46your audience is too.
- 5:47Do you remember the movie The Matrix?
- 5:50Yes.
- 5:51One of my favorites.
- 5:52Morpheus
- 5:53was giving Neo the choice of the red pill versus the blue pill and said, you know, this is going
- 5:57to change your mind, your frame of mind.
- 5:59This is going to give you a different perspective on all
- 6:02of life.
- 6:02And you have a choice right now, which perspective you want.
- 6:05But once you pick the red
- 6:06pill, you can't go back to the blue pill.
- 6:08And he intellectually explained it.
- 6:10And then what
- 6:11happened when Neo drank or ate the red pill is he what?
- 6:14At first regretted it, right?
- 6:15He woke up,
- 6:16he looked at all the people looking at batteries and was like, eh, can I go back to the blue pill
- 6:20a little bit like the one guy did in the movie?
- 6:22And I think that's a great metaphor.
- 6:24I've always
- 6:25thought it's why I saw it in the movie theater 26 times, because it's a great metaphor for life
- 6:30of what's really going on is that we live in our own matrix and that we do create our own reality.
- 6:35And we do that through trusting the divine nature of the fabric of life, of the life force within
- 6:39us that's connected to every single thing else that there is.
- 6:43When you first discover that,
- 6:44you go, oh my gosh, I can control my mind.
- 6:48I'm not my mind because I can watch my mind and I
- 6:50can change my mind and I can say, don't think that thought anymore.
- 6:53So I'm not the mind.
- 6:55I'm not the body.
- 6:56If my arms get cut off, God forbid, today, am I less of a Kelly Kennedy?
- 7:01No.
- 7:02So I'm not the mind.
- 7:02I'm not the body.
- 7:03So what am I?
- 7:05Well, we know that when a person passes, that the physical body weighs about 2.5 grams less
- 7:11than it did when it was breathing.
- 7:14So what is that?
- 7:15I don't know.
- 7:16That's that unknown.
- 7:17That's that thing that animates this physical body that you and I can both, you know, know
- 7:23lots of things that have happened in the world where people go, oh, that's a horrible situation.
- 7:27They're in the hospital and they're brain dead, right?
- 7:30We've all heard about situations like that.
- 7:32People are brain dead.
- 7:34Have you ever heard anybody say they're heart dead?
- 7:37No.
- 7:38Because once you're
- 7:38heart dead, once you stop breathing, you're just dead.
- 7:41So the breath of life that's in us is the
- 7:44thing that animates us.
- 7:45It's the non-physical part of us.
- 7:47And where the rubber meets the road,
- 7:49where we become physical is at the fascia level.
- 7:52Listen, folks, I'm a deep scientist that did not
- 7:56think she was ever going to study God and energy and non-physical stuff.
- 8:02I was growing in hillbilly
- 8:05upstate New York, and my father had cancer.
- 8:07He had cancer seven times.
- 8:08He had Hodgkin's disease.
- 8:10I didn't want to get cancer.
- 8:11I was like, I'll go to Cornell University.
- 8:12I'll go pre-med.
- 8:13I'll figure
- 8:14out how to become a doctor.
- 8:15So I don't get cancer.
- 8:17I figured if you become a doctor, you figure out
- 8:19I have an ocular cancer.
- 8:20That was my belief system as a young, naive, hillbilly-raised person.
- 8:25As I studied at Cornell, as I got educated through that, but bigger than my intellect
- 8:30was my experience.
- 8:33I almost died in a car accident my second year at Cornell.
- 8:36I was scalped in the
- 8:37car accident.
- 8:38I lost two inches in height, and I lacerated my spleen.
- 8:41And nine months later,
- 8:43my 55-year-old father died after having two strokes after many complications of chemo and
- 8:47radiation.
- 8:49And I picked my head up in the 90s and said, I don't think they've got medicine figured
- 8:53out because I'm a 20-year-old rower that was in a car accident that was told to manage her pain for
- 8:58the rest of her life.
- 8:59And one day she'd have to have surgery to have those rods put down my back.
- 9:04And my 55-year-old father had had cancer seven freaking times, blood clots in the lungs,
- 9:09all sorts of other illnesses, and was dead.
- 9:13And all they could tell us was cut it out,
- 9:15Medicaid it, radiate it, right, James?
- 9:17It's not about the food he was eating, God forbid.
- 9:19Yes, it was, by the way.
- 9:20Yes, it was.
- 9:21And at that time, I had forced myself to be a vegetarian
- 9:24because I didn't like the burned red meat that I was given my whole life.
- 9:29And so I was nutritionally deficient, as we both know, because I wasn't eating any dense animal
- 9:35protein.
- 9:36And I had fractures in my back.
- 9:39And three years into that journey, I ended up in Pennsylvania
- 9:43in the 90s at an acupuncturist office working with a guy that did energy to release emotional
- 9:50stuff from the body.
- 9:51I was willing to try anything.
- 9:53It was for another reason.
- 9:55Then I figured out he
- 9:56handles pain.
- 9:56Then I'm there dealing with pain.
- 9:58And on my third visit, I came back and said,
- 10:00where did my pain go?
- 10:01Because I had a spontaneous healing.
- 10:03What I know now is called a spontaneous
- 10:04healing.
- 10:05I lived in pain for three years.
- 10:07I lived on Vixodine and Flexerol for three years.
- 10:10and then I met this guy.
- 10:12I saw him two times to do an energetic release technique on me
- 10:17and two things in my life started to happen.
- 10:19I started to make money finally in this
- 10:21sales company I was loving but couldn't make any sales.
- 10:24But more importantly, I was pain-free
- 10:26and I didn't understand why.
- 10:28I started to wean off all the pharmaceutical drugs.
- 10:30I continued to
- 10:31see him as a practitioner for three months.
- 10:33We cleaned up my allergies, my asthma, my acne.
- 10:37and then the ongoing joke James is I married him because I have so much emotional stuff and we did
- 10:42emotional release technique there was no way I was getting out I needed him for a whole lifetime
- 10:46to handle that crap and we've now run a clinical practice for 20 years and through my own experience
- 10:54my intellect had to say well then how did that work how do we do that and I've studied science
- 11:01for the last 20 years looking at German medicine, looking at the nuance, the subtle energy body,
- 11:08the thing that caused the body to heal.
- 11:10Because what happened was I went back to his office
- 11:13on my third visit and I go, how'd you do that?
- 11:15How'd you make that happen?
- 11:17And he goes,
- 11:18energy.
- 11:19Now his name is Ion, spelled I-A-N, but pronounced I-O-N. And I-O-N means energy.
- 11:27So I thought he was being sarcastic because I was raised an Irish Catholic girl and thought
- 11:33he was being funny.
- 11:34And at the time in the 90s, when I was paying him $90 for 15 minutes and was a broke college
- 11:39student, didn't think he was very funny because I just want to know the answer.
- 11:44I was like, can you just tell me why?
- 11:46Like, how do you?
- 11:47OK, great.
- 11:47It's energy.
- 11:48Fine.
- 11:48OK, fine.
- 11:49But you did it.
- 11:50That's what I thought he was saying.
- 11:51I did it.
- 11:52How do I make sure the pain doesn't come back?
- 11:54And here's his answer.
- 11:54Ready?
- 11:55Oh, that's easy.
- 11:56Just be.
- 11:57I was like, what's going on?
- 11:59So I've recognized now, I mean, this man has a huge, he's one of the best readers I've ever met.
- 12:05He studied martial arts.
- 12:07He has five black belts.
- 12:08He became a ranger medic.
- 12:10He worked with an acupuncturist, married one for many years.
- 12:12So he understood the energy of the body, how you could take somebody down with it and how you could heal with it.
- 12:19Both things were true.
- 12:20And so I didn't just study with him, but I studied with this German group that we found as I started working with him.
- 12:25Because I was like, if I had a spontaneous healing, how do we apply the same science to every single person?
- 12:32Because if you can do it, then everybody can do it.
- 12:35I mean, I was raised Catholic, and I think you were too, weren't you?
- 12:39No, my mother was Jewish.
- 12:41My dad was Episcopalian.
- 12:43What's interesting, though, is that in many ways, what you experience is what Mary Baker
- 12:48Eddy did with Christian science.
- 12:50I mean, the thing is, is what I was going to say is when I grew up, the one thing that
- 12:54impressed me the most was these priests that would always come from Africa for some reason,
- 12:58and they would lay hands on people.
- 13:00And some people would fall down to the ground and then they would have a healing.
- 13:04And I always wondered why my dad never fell down.
- 13:08We always went and I never understood why didn't he fall down?
- 13:11And what I understand through my work now, it's all about receiving.
- 13:15He wasn't able to receive that knot of love.
- 13:16And I've lived in pain.
- 13:18I broke my back.
- 13:19I broke my arm.
- 13:20I broke my leg.
- 13:21I broke my wrist.
- 13:22I broke my elbow.
- 13:23I'm good at breaking bones because I like to do stupid human tricks.
- 13:26That said, when the body heals, right, it does it naturally.
- 13:32It's not like the cast is healing me.
- 13:34It's the innate intelligence that heals my bone.
- 13:37It's not surgeries as they told me I'd need all these surgeries.
- 13:39I've gained an inch and a half back of the two inches I have lost.
- 13:42I was a decrepit 20-year-old, and I'm a strong 52-year-old postmenopausal woman that could
- 13:47probably run circles around most of the people that we know because I receive that amount
- 13:52of love and as much pain as I've been in, healing is receiving love in the body that you actually
- 14:00create and you connect to from nature around you, from the food and the plants and the air
- 14:07and the water that's pure that God gave us to heal.
- 14:12And I don't care what religion you're here
- 14:14from, that we're all divine beings having a physical experience connected to one living
- 14:20force of energy.
- 14:21Similar to a comedian who talks about how they have to have tragedy to be funny,
- 14:28do you have to have pain and suffering to find healing?
- 14:32It's a great question.
- 14:33So in The Matrix,
- 14:34he had to go through the portal.
- 14:35His eyes had to be open.
- 14:37He had to face his truth.
- 14:39We are light and we are dark.
- 14:41We are both.
- 14:42And I do feel, think, and know that while we don't
- 14:44have to go through pain, I think that's what Buddha was saying is that suffering is a choice.
- 14:49Our perspective is our ability to choose our conscious mind.
- 14:55Bad things can happen.
- 14:56We can trust in our hearts that it was meant for our highest good.
- 14:59When I broke my elbow a couple of years ago on black ice, I literally laid on the ground.
- 15:03I was like, really, God, this is what you want me to do?
- 15:05You want me to heal my broken arm?
- 15:06I mean, I know I broke it.
- 15:08I know I dislocated my shoulder the second it happened.
- 15:10And I laid on the ground.
- 15:11I was like, all right, I have to apply what I do every day.
- 15:14They told me I needed surgery.
- 15:16The only way I was going to get full range of motion back.
- 15:18I would never heal without surgery.
- 15:19I was too old, postmenopausal, all the things.
- 15:22Well, I'm here to tell you, folks, that's just not true.
- 15:25It's not how the body heals.
- 15:27And it's about getting the body by opening up the blockades to healing, which are dentist
- 15:32stuff and scars that block the body to heal.
- 15:35But the default system, the primal system is healing.
- 15:39The ancestral system is to heal.
- 15:42And when we were living off the land and we had lots of sunshine, I can tell you then if they drew blood, people don't have low vitamin D.
- 15:52They have low vitamin D because we live in houses and there's things eating our vitamin D.
- 15:57And the oxygen, like people don't breathe oxygen, lift heavy things awkwardly and weird.
- 16:02They go into gyms and work on the same motion over and over again, which is repetitive motion, which is blocking, shutting down the nervous system from healing.
- 16:12So there's so much that I've learned in my 20 years of clinical practice and 30 years of studying this is that when you apply a certain formula, which I figured out is energy, fascia, lymph, oxygen, water, which we'll go through a little bit.
- 16:26The energy in the body is all that heals.
- 16:28There's two blockades to it not working.
- 16:31It's turning on our ability to heal.
- 16:33I don't fight disease.
- 16:35I find why your body isn't healing and help you support your body to heal and encourage
- 16:41you to care for your body, much like you've learned to care for your teeth, much like
- 16:45you've learned to care for your nutrition, to care for your lymph and your fascia, because
- 16:50it is the majority of your actual terrain of your tissue.
- 16:54and it's also the part of us that connects to the non-physical part of us that's 90% of the
- 17:00communication happening in the body is non-physical and it's about aligning to that that allows us to
- 17:07heal and so I consider myself a facilitator of healing it's why I focus on the lymphatics as I
- 17:13studied the science I went it's all about the lymphatics we'll go through what lymph is a little
- 17:16bit it's all about the covering around the lymph the fascia that holds the structure together that
- 17:21It gives us our actual shape.
- 17:24And then the skin lays over it.
- 17:26But if we're not in safety mode, if we're not in, I'm a calm, safe mammal, like those
- 17:34of you that have dogs that lay on the ground with their bellies open and exposed, that's
- 17:38like walking around with your heart exposed, right?
- 17:41When animals walk on all fours, they're protecting their heart.
- 17:46When they walk as bipeds, their heart is open and exposed.
- 17:49and where the body holds stress is the jaw and the hips,
- 17:53which makes us unique bipeds and walking forward in our lives.
- 17:57But we chew a lot and swallow a lot and bite our tongues a lot
- 18:03and we don't feel safe in our pelvic region.
- 18:06And we sit a lot and we create more stress there.
- 18:09I mean, there's so much modern lifestyle that creates disease and illness.
- 18:13And by going back to the basics, the foundational steps,
- 18:18as you know, you're actually able to heal better.
- 18:21And then when your body's in healing mode,
- 18:23you can receive better nutrition.
- 18:25You can receive better life therapy.
- 18:27You can receive
- 18:27better oxygen because your body's in that.
- 18:30I can receive that.
- 18:31I have a gift for you.
- 18:32It's called
- 18:32the Freedom Meats Guide.
- 18:34And it's all about reclaiming your health, eating the most nutrient
- 18:37dense traditional foods, bone broth, organ meats, raw milk, and more.
- 18:42See, these are the foods that
- 18:43built strong and resilient people for generations.
- 18:46And this guide will help bring them back into your
- 18:49life.
- 18:49Whether you're just starting out or you're deep into ancestral lifestyle, this is the roadmap
- 18:56and all 24 pages of it are available for download for free via the link in the description.
- 19:01Look,
- 19:02start feeding your body what it really needs.
- 19:05You deserve it.
- 19:06So a lot of people talk about
- 19:07parasympathetic mode, you know, and as you mentioned, you want to be in a calm state,
- 19:12you know, so there's descriptors of what it means to be in safe mode.
- 19:19How does someone actually get
- 19:20into safe mode?
- 19:21Like, what are the practical tips that will support someone in feeling safer in
- 19:26their body?
- 19:27It's a great question.
- 19:28So wrangling the mammal, let's do a little bit together.
- 19:31A lot
- 19:32do people practice breath work?
- 19:35What does the word work mean to you, James?
- 19:38Oh, yeah.
- 19:38I mean,
- 19:38it feels like, oh, I got it.
- 19:40It's a lift.
- 19:41I have to it's a weight to a degree like, oh, I have to
- 19:44work.
- 19:44I have to climb up the mountain.
- 19:46You know, I mean, that it's it's it's not easy.
- 19:50It's effort, right?
- 19:51Yeah.
- 19:51Effort.
- 19:52That's perfect word.
- 19:53When your children were born.
- 19:55That was work.
- 19:57Well, yeah, for sure.
- 19:59But when they came out, did anybody sit there and go, okay, what you're going to do now
- 20:04is you're going to breathe in through your nose and breathe in through your mouth and
- 20:07you can exhale out either one.
- 20:08Did anybody instruct the baby how to do that?
- 20:10Or did the baby just instantly know how to go from breathing plasmatic water inside the
- 20:16uterus to coming through a portal and all of a sudden breathe in air?
- 20:20Whoa, what a transition that is.
- 20:23The baby knew how to do it, didn't it?
- 20:24innate wisdom.
- 20:26What I'm going to ask everyone listening to do in you, unless you're driving,
- 20:28please don't do this if you're driving, but pause, listen to this later.
- 20:32I'm going to ask us to go
- 20:34through a breath practice instead of breath work, to practice the art of breathing, to witness the
- 20:40fact that you are a divine being that has breath in it.
- 20:42As we mentioned earlier, breath is the
- 20:44only thing that's keeping us animated and alive.
- 20:47And we can monitor that through heart rate
- 20:48variability, through understanding sympathetic, parasympathetic deeply.
- 20:51I feel like I'm an expert
- 20:52in that.
- 20:54That said, it's about the experience.
- 20:57So what I'm going to ask everyone to do is if you
- 21:00have a back on your chair, lift your back off the chair a little bit, really hold yourself up,
- 21:05put your feet flat on the ground, put your palms face up and on your thighs.
- 21:10Just notice your
- 21:11breath.
- 21:12Notice your posture.
- 21:14Relax your shoulders.
- 21:15Maybe roll your shoulders a couple times.
- 21:20and as you start to maybe close your eyes just witness the breath that goes in through your
- 21:26nose you don't have to do a thing for it happens automatically it's right there
- 21:31everything you need and start to follow your own pace watch the breath go into your nose
- 21:39filling up the lungs and the ribs and the chest and then at some point you're going to watch the
- 21:46body exhale.
- 21:47Just witness it.
- 21:48You don't have to do anything to it.
- 21:49Just witness it.
- 21:52Witness that breath
- 21:53filling up the lungs, the chest, the abdomen, the shoulders, the neck.
- 21:59Witness it exhaling.
- 22:02And witness maybe your mind going all over the place and tell your little mammal that's running
- 22:06all over the place to sit and be still and pay attention to your breath because that's all you've
- 22:11to do.
- 22:12That's your mind is your wild mammal that needs to be a bit trained.
- 22:17And that is what's
- 22:18keeping you in sympathetic overload.
- 22:20That's what's keeping you in fight flight.
- 22:22Oh my gosh,
- 22:23should I do the dishes?
- 22:24Oh my gosh, I have that phone call to make.
- 22:25Oh, I didn't call my in-laws
- 22:27today.
- 22:27Oh, I need to mow the lawn.
- 22:29Whatever that little thing is in your brain, you got to calm it
- 22:33down first.
- 22:34Because as I teach people to pump their lymph, what I see is this.
- 22:39And what I saw
- 22:39for years was, okay, I'm pumping my lymph fast and furiously, first of all.
- 22:44Secondly, there's no
- 22:46feeling of the body.
- 22:48So I'm here to ask people to touch your bodies.
- 22:51And I don't mean in a sexual
- 22:52way.
- 22:52I just mean in a way that you're actually engaging with your own body.
- 22:56And just like you
- 22:56learn to brush your teeth, you're going to learn to pump your lymph.
- 22:59But the first rule that I
- 23:01teach in pumping your lymph is to first shift the gear into neutral.
- 23:06And we do that by witnessing
- 23:07the breath.
- 23:08Just take another moment, feeling your feet flat on the ground, feeling your spine
- 23:13straight, witnessing your breath filling up the body.
- 23:17Find where that transition is where it then
- 23:20exhales.
- 23:22And I encourage you to sigh out a little, make a little sound on the exhale.
- 23:26And let's do two more together.
- 23:28Witness the inhale.
- 23:32Witness the exhale.
- 23:34If you have any action, it's on the exhale.
- 23:38The inhale is passive.
- 23:41Transition to the exhale.
- 23:42Then we get active and we...
- 23:46So that's the experience.
- 23:50Because some people are doing ketamine IVs to try to feel relaxed.
- 23:54And it's literally right there at the tip of your nose.
- 23:56You just have to calm your own brain down to do it.
- 23:59Well, that is the truth, right?
- 24:00Everyone is being trained to go outwards for the answer instead of inward.
- 24:07is a contradiction to this modern life, 100%.
- 24:11And it's not that I don't love modern conveniences.
- 24:14Trust me.
- 24:15Yeah.
- 24:16Like I just, I'm going to the Omega Institute for an event.
- 24:18I'm so excited to go see Eileen McJuzik
- 24:21do her tuning for our convenient part.
- 24:23But I love Omega Institute,
- 24:25but they want you to stay in a tent or a cabin.
- 24:27God bless their souls.
- 24:29I am sorry.
- 24:29I want to stay at a luxury hotel down the street.
- 24:33I want to eat some meat that night
- 24:36because I'm going to be working my brain all day, which means I'm going to be using protein and I
- 24:40need to replenish protein.
- 24:41I appreciate that they are a vegetarian experience.
- 24:45I have learned enough
- 24:46in my life to know that when I work my brain, I need meat.
- 24:49I need animal protein.
- 24:51I'm what I call
- 24:52a flexitarian.
- 24:54Yeah, 80% of the time I eat home, I eat good, I eat organic.
- 24:57It's all high quality
- 24:58protein, blah, blah, blah, no seed oils, blah, blah, blah.
- 25:01Yet sometimes I'm out.
- 25:03Like last night,
- 25:03We went to this comedy show near our house about an hour and a half, and we found this
- 25:07cool 14th century castle.
- 25:09I had a 13-year-old son.
- 25:11You don't think that's where we chose to have dinner?
- 25:13Was it organic food?
- 25:15No.
- 25:16But I took my little quantum card, and I structured the water, and we prayed over the food.
- 25:22And therefore, it will make that higher structure.
- 25:24I received it better than if I walk in going, oh, this is going to suck, and this food is
- 25:28going to be horrible, and they're going to use seed oils.
- 25:30That's going to affect me.
- 25:32because the energy, the emotion behind it is more impactful than the physicality.
- 25:38You said 13-year-old son?
- 25:40Yeah.
- 25:41So how does your 13-year-old react to this kind of work?
- 25:44100% resistance.
- 25:46Mom's woo-woo.
- 25:48Mom's so weird.
- 25:50You know, just the other day we got a tiff, or not a tiff,
- 25:53but a thing about deodorant that I've given him to use
- 25:56and the hairspray that the hairstylist sold him when I wasn't there.
- 26:01and I was just like, listen, buddy, it's got like forever chemicals in it.
- 26:04You don't want that.
- 26:05I don't want the toothpaste.
- 26:06I also know from his teachers and from his friend's parents
- 26:11that he's the one that asked the questions.
- 26:12Well, is it organic?
- 26:13Is that tap water?
- 26:15I don't eat that.
- 26:16But he also is a 13 year old boy that goes, mom, why do I have, I mean,
- 26:19he cracks me up, JT comes home the other day and he goes, mom, why can't I just get some goldfish?
- 26:26Why do I have to have the cheesy rabbits and what he calls the monkey balls, which are those granola things.
- 26:33Yeah, the space ball things.
- 26:35Yeah, yeah.
- 26:35I know what you're talking about.
- 26:35He's like, why can't I just have regular Oreos?
- 26:37Why do they have to be this other thing?
- 26:39And it's like, well, because we know better.
- 26:42And I know that that's hard for somebody of that age.
- 26:46But isn't that our goal as parents is to be the best guide for them, to show them how to find their own truth?
- 26:54And for me, he gets choice.
- 26:57I've also watched him eat like a couple organic fast food places that we have around here.
- 27:02And he stopped eating them because he gets a stomach ache and diarrhea after he eats them.
- 27:06So experience teaches.
- 27:08And contrast, right?
- 27:09So he has the contrast from those types of foods to compare and to know what it feels to not be on them, which is really key, right?
- 27:17Where does the energy work have limitations?
- 27:21Because in a sense, we're talking about the power of energy.
- 27:25And I know that there's been studies done where monks have prayed over toxic water and then it was, you know, that couldn't form crystals.
- 27:34And then once they prayed, it could actually form crystals.
- 27:37so that there is power and energy, but we're also saying, yeah, but don't eat these things
- 27:42because we know better and let's stay away from these things.
- 27:45Because on a certain level, it's like, well, if energy works and eat them, but then be
- 27:49in an energetic, calm in this space that you could write the ship.
- 27:54It's almost like we're saying, but there are limitations or that you still don't want to
- 27:59drown yourself in toxic water because the energy eventually you, is it that you'll eventually
- 28:04feel so toxic that you can't even right side your energy?
- 28:07Or where is the balance?
- 28:09Or how do we look
- 28:10at this?
- 28:10We could spend an hour just on that question, James.
- 28:13It's a phenomenal question.
- 28:14So
- 28:15we all live in a fishbowl, right?
- 28:16But our fishbowl is very dirty water because of the industrial
- 28:20revolution, the Wi-Fi, all the exposure we have.
- 28:25So that when we support and depend upon energy,
- 28:28we're receiving all the information from a toxic world.
- 28:33If we change our environment to be a less
- 28:36toxic world, we can depend upon that energy for us to heal because we're not going to use forever
- 28:41chemicals in our food because we know that's against nature and we would never do such a
- 28:45thing.
- 28:46So we would never have an option.
- 28:48Bad for me is processed white sugar.
- 28:51It's not a
- 28:52high fructose corn syrup.
- 28:53That's a hill I'll die on.
- 28:55Okay.
- 28:55There's a difference between I'll give
- 28:57myself a little poison and I'm never touching that.
- 29:01Everything seeps into the environment,
- 29:03right?
- 29:03Like you can't separate anything.
- 29:05You can't escape frequency.
- 29:06Frequency is everywhere.
- 29:08But if we can change our own home environment and have more space, which we get through working
- 29:13lymphatics, through opening the fascia, we literally create more space between the cells.
- 29:18Two thirds of our body is water.
- 29:19And coincidentally, we have three times more
- 29:22lymph and we do blood.
- 29:23About two-thirds of the body is lymph fluid, and it's the phase of water
- 29:28that's inside of our body.
- 29:29And just like you were talking about with Emoto Science, that's Masaru
- 29:32Emoto, the Japanese guy with the water crystals.
- 29:35I've worked with his partner of 17 years, Rasmus,
- 29:38for seven, eight years now, and using a technology that is evidence that all the healing comes from
- 29:46the heart.
- 29:47Every single person's frequency of the heart is played to water.
- 29:50Every single person
- 29:51It makes beautiful, coherent, beautiful water crystals.
- 29:54The mind is the limitation.
- 29:56So that's where the limitation is.
- 29:58Ignorance is bliss.
- 29:59If you watch The Matrix, the guy that went back and said, Morpheus, or one of the agents
- 30:04was like, what can you give out?
- 30:05I just want to go back and eat a steak and pretend that I'm just eating the steak and
- 30:08enjoy the steak for the sake of the steak.
- 30:10That's what he wanted was ignorance.
- 30:12Because the opening of the veil was horrible because then you recognize that you're responsible
- 30:18and allowed some of that programming to go in and it doesn't support you anymore.
- 30:23And if I still stayed the vegetarian that I was at 18 because I didn't like meat,
- 30:29I know I wouldn't be as healthy today.
- 30:31But I had a couple of people that introduced me to different ways to cook meat.
- 30:35Salmon that was fresh off the boat in Alaska that melted in my mouth.
- 30:38And I was like, whoa, I've never tasted anything like that.
- 30:41And I kept myself open for change and not stayed stuck.
- 30:45and stuck in a mindset is one of the biggest blockades to healing.
- 30:50Because I talk about the
- 30:51physical blockade, scars and dental.
- 30:53The non-physical blockade is the emotional belief
- 30:56system.
- 30:56I can't heal.
- 30:57Oh, I'm a product of my genetics.
- 31:00Oh, I can't do that.
- 31:02I'm not strong
- 31:02enough.
- 31:03I'm a girl.
- 31:04I'm over 50.
- 31:06Whatever the story is, is just that.
- 31:09It's the story you're
- 31:10playing out.
- 31:11And the biggest limitation we have is our mind.
- 31:14Where we're unlimited is our heart.
- 31:16And when we get those to be in proper balance, then you're in regeneration and healing all the
- 31:21time.
- 31:22And it's evidenced in your heart rate variability and all that subtle energy body
- 31:26testing.
- 31:26The best way to structure your water, you can buy expensive pieces of equipment,
- 31:30but essentially, do you talk?
- 31:32Can you change your mind and hold your water up to your heart?
- 31:36Shift your mind into gratitude.
- 31:39Feel the water and have gratitude for it.
- 31:44Now your water is structured.
- 31:46Because the best vortex you have is your own helical heart.
- 31:53Your vortexing heart is the best science you got.
- 31:56Start bio-loving your bio-water with gratitude and love.
- 32:01That's how you structure your water.
- 32:03You are your own vortex.
- 32:05You're your own vortex.
- 32:07Love it.
- 32:07I usually work out every day.
- 32:09I try to do some kind of movement, whether it's running, heavy lifting.
- 32:13And I normally also walk my daughter to school.
- 32:15So I'm always getting movement in.
- 32:18And I feel mentally stronger when I do.
- 32:22I had three days, though, where I didn't get to go work out.
- 32:24I still did the walk with my daughter, but I didn't get to really work out.
- 32:28And I noticed that I felt this low-grade depression.
- 32:31Everything felt kind of just blah.
- 32:34And I started to tell a story that I wonder if my normal state is blah, like my normal state is depression and that the tool I've learned to counteract it is, you know, healthy food, working out, you know, trying to live in a non-toxic environment.
- 32:54I even thought, well, wait a second, that's still creating a story.
- 32:59Like that's still trying to use my mind to label something when the truth is it doesn't have to be anything.
- 33:09I could just feel better when I work out.
- 33:13And maybe when I'm feeling that kind of low-grade depression, that maybe it's a sign to focus on the breath or focus on a tree or focus on something that's present opposed to in my head.
- 33:26When you're running up the steps, because I know you do a lot of steps, right?
- 33:29And when you run up steps, let me ask you a question.
- 33:32Are you conscious about your breath in your body?
- 33:35And are you feeling your feet and your arms and your abdomen and your back and you're
- 33:41conscious of your body movements?
- 33:43And if you falter from that, wouldn't it be easy to trip and fall and hurt something?
- 33:48I don't listen to music when I'm working out.
- 33:50Like I don't have headphones in.
- 33:52So I am very present to my body and even to my thoughts, of course.
- 33:56So anytime you're doing, you're exerting any energy, you know, like you said, you're training your mind as well, because of course it's like, okay, can I lift this?
- 34:04Right.
- 34:04And so there's story that comes up.
- 34:06So it's a constant give and take of, you know, using that training of the mind, but also being in the body and like really feeling the life force.
- 34:15Right.
- 34:15As a rower, I would say the same thing.
- 34:17I feel every single pull on that rowing machine and I'm like, oh, couldn't have done my arms.
- 34:22Like I'm physically watching my body and the breath and knowing that, you know, that's strengthening me and it's helping me focus and I'll never get a perfect row.
- 34:31And that's part of what I love about it.
- 34:33Because there's always something to work on.
- 34:35Just like a golfer is never going to get a perfect swing.
- 34:37And as soon as you do, you know, the next swing you got, it's the next one.
- 34:40But that's every breath we take.
- 34:42how deeply aware can we be of the fact that we're still breathing, that we woke up?
- 34:47How grateful can
- 34:48we be that we woke up and 180,000 other people did not wake up today and they don't have breath
- 34:54running through their animating their bodies.
- 34:56And that is a gift of presence, of being aware that,
- 35:00oh, I'm walking my daughter to school and I'm holding her hand and I'm so in love with this
- 35:06life and this life that I've chosen that I choose to walk away from my work to walk my daughter to
- 35:11school because it brings me joy.
- 35:13And there's nothing more important than that because that's
- 35:16the connection.
- 35:17That's the love.
- 35:18That's what I'm here for.
- 35:19And that helps me heal and it helps me
- 35:21receive.
- 35:22And my brain is calm.
- 35:24And then that's often when inspiration occurs.
- 35:27When you don't
- 35:28have all these thoughts that are trapping you, there's space to allow to go in.
- 35:32Well, when you're
- 35:33working out, you're creating space in your body.
- 35:35You're focusing your mind.
- 35:36You're exhaling.
- 35:38You exhale more toxicants out than you poop, pee, or sweat.
- 35:41And you do that through your lymphatics.
- 35:43You're sweating.
- 35:43You're moving your lymphatics.
- 35:45The movement is softening your fascia.
- 35:48When you're sitting for three days in a row and you didn't exercise, you didn't pump your lymph.
- 35:53You didn't move the oxygen.
- 35:54You didn't structure the water within.
- 35:56You didn't focus the mind.
- 35:57Your body didn't shift into healing mode.
- 35:59There is a science behind why you feel better.
- 36:02And yes, that creates endorphins.
- 36:04And your body's not stagnant.
- 36:05It doesn't go unhealthy.
- 36:07Therefore, I've arrived.
- 36:08It's a decision we make with every breath we take, every step we take.
- 36:11Am I going towards regeneration or am I going towards degeneration?
- 36:16And you're just so deeply present to your body that when you didn't work out for three
- 36:20days, you started to notice, I'm not getting that endorphin hit.
- 36:24And whoa, I got to get back on that train because I want to feel better than this.
- 36:27And you've tuned in to the vessel, to the destiny, to the temple that is our bodies,
- 36:33that that divine energy lives in.
- 36:35And if you're working out, you're feeling it.
- 36:38And if you don't, you forget.
- 36:40Is there another kind of manual lymph node release that you can impart?
- 36:45Yeah.
- 36:46So I was going to give all your audience the guidebook for free, five top tools for lymph.
- 36:53One is how to manually pump your top 10 nodes.
- 36:56It's a sequence you have to learn.
- 36:58Watch it five, eight times.
- 36:59There's a video that comes with it with a PDF.
- 37:02there's something I call horse lifts and heart opening about how to rub areas of your body and
- 37:09release tension.
- 37:11There's the EDV mantra to retrain your brain to say that you relax and recognize I
- 37:16am good enough.
- 37:17My life is easy and joyful.
- 37:19These are all just things I've made up over years to
- 37:21create tools to help you wrangle the mammal and to then manually pump and release your lymphatics.
- 37:28Stars is a whole nother subject.
- 37:29But yes, I want to gift that to all of your audience so that they have the tools to know exactly what to do today.
- 37:37Fantastic.
- 37:37So we're going to put that in the notes.
- 37:39There is a question that I like to ask everyone as our closure.
- 37:43If you could wave a magic wand and bring back one ancestral practice, what would it be and why?
- 37:51Tune into their breath for five minutes a day, every day.
- 37:54You know, Think and Grow Rich, Andrew Carnegie commissioned Napoleon Hill to write that book, Think and Grow Rich.
- 38:01It's one of the first books I ever read about energy.
- 38:04And Andrew Carnegie said that the reason that most people are not successful is because they cannot focus for more than five minutes on any one subject.
- 38:13and focusing on your breath practice is what's creating your life and not and it's humbling
- 38:22it's healing it's free and it's about bio loving not biohacking wow kelly thank you so much for
- 38:33joining me on today's episode uh there's so much more i'm sure we could talk about because i know
- 38:39there's so much more to your expertise that we didn't cover, but I just, I feel like we really
- 38:44gave people a dose of contrast, you know, just realizing that there is more than what we're
- 38:52doing, what we're eating, what we're, what supplements we're taking, what kind of defines
- 38:57like the perfect health, you know, modality is like, is going inward and looking at the breath
- 39:03and being present with the energy that we are coexisting in.
- 39:07Just so grateful to you for bringing
- 39:09that perspective.
- 39:10We're going to put in the show notes, the free gift, where can people go to learn
- 39:15more, to work with you?
- 39:16Where would you like us to send them?
- 39:19So they can go to my website,
- 39:20the true wellness center.com and on Instagram, I am true wellness global and on YouTube,
- 39:27I'm energy flow.
- 39:29And you have a podcast as well.
- 39:31Yes, I do.
- 39:32I've taken a little hiatus for about
- 39:33seven months cause I'm recalibrating, but I'm just about to launch about 10 episodes and
- 39:38And James Berry will be on my new version of my podcast as well.
- 39:42It's a very different type of launch.
- 39:44But yes, they can watch my podcast because the thing is, it's like I said, you got to
- 39:48educate your intellect and then you got to physically feel it.
- 39:51So it's going to have two parts to it where you can learn and you can be by doing, but
- 39:58you learn to be by doing things to get you in the be state.
- 40:03Thank you, James, for this.
- 40:04You're amazing.
- 40:05I really love you and love pluck and love what you've done.
- 40:07And you've really changed the landscape of food and given organ meats an opportunity to be available, which is so key to healing.
- 40:19Thank you.
- 40:20Thank you.
- 40:20Thank you for reflecting that back to me.
- 40:23Thank you all for joining us.
- 40:24I have to be honest with you.
- 40:25This is the topic that I most get joy from because it's just it's so close to my heart.
- 40:31In my age, I have come to believe very much what Kelly is sharing, which is that energy is the focus.
- 40:38It's where to go.
- 40:39Inward is where to go.
- 40:41And we are divine, all of us.
- 40:43And I truly mean that.
- 40:45Those of you listening, I hope that if you don't see yourself as divine, that this episode maybe made a crack to your shell.
- 40:51You have the ability to heal.
- 40:54The key is, as Kelly so beautifully articulated, we just have to stay curious.
- 40:58We have to be open to all the things that are around us, to all the signs.
- 41:02There's so many.
- 41:03I'm sure both of us could do an entire episode just on signs that we somehow miraculously heard and that then listened to and changed our lives.
- 41:13And it's happening for all of us.
- 41:15So I just wish upon everyone to just be curious, ask the questions and be open to these signs
- 41:20because they're all around you.
- 41:22Thank you so much for joining us.
