  Speaker 1: first week of January I get hit with some kind

  Speaker 1: of flu of virus, and this year happened again. I

  Speaker 1: was like, wait a minute, I see a pattern. We're

  Speaker 1: gonna break those patterns in the name of Jesus. Right,
• 0:38
  Speaker 1: it's gonna be health in the month of January. So
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: you to me and my family or family, Amen, And
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: we're gonna break those patterns that show up in the
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: beginning of the year. If that's the same thing happening

  Speaker 1: in you, Amen, we're gonna pray that outs in the

  Speaker 1: name of Jesus. Yes, she what Amen. So we're gonna

  Speaker 1: be in the new way of living. Amen. You know,

  Speaker 1: could grow, we could succept goals godly goals to get

  Speaker 1: holy habits, and we could go forward and move forward

  Speaker 1: and victory knowing that Guy's with us, in us and

  Speaker 1: working through us. The new way of living. Amen today

  Speaker 1: about embracing the fullness of life that the Lord Jesus offers,

  Speaker 1: in Jesus' name. So Father, I thank you so much

  Speaker 1: those schemes of the enemy, and those devices that he

  Speaker 1: uses to get us ill. In the beginning of the year,

  Speaker 1: in Jesus Name, I pray wholeness, healing, the power of

  Speaker 1: your divine intervention, the divine healing over our bodies physically,

  Speaker 1: emotionally and spiritually, in the powerful name of your shoe

  Speaker 1: and Hamashiekh. In Jesus Name, I also pray lo God

  Speaker 1: that to this year, lor God will mark a new

  Speaker 1: start for many of us, a new beginning for many

  Speaker 1: of us and those who are just continually on like

  Speaker 1: myself and others that I know, help us grow and

  Speaker 1: twenty six and twenty seven. Hear the prophet he the prophecy. Moreover,

  Speaker 1: I will give you a new heart and put a

  Speaker 1: new spirit within you. And I will remove the heart

  Speaker 1: of stone from your flesh and give you a heart
• 10:13
  Speaker 1: of flesh. I will put my spirit within you and

  Speaker 1: cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: keep my ordinances and do them. This is the prophet
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: Ezekiel prophesying as the Lord spoke through him to generations.

  Speaker 1: Obviously it was for generations to come, because the Holy
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: Spirit had not yet been poured out the way we
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: saw it poured out in the Book of Acts in
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: the New Covenant Church. When we saw the Book of Acts,
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: the beginning of the New Covenant Church was when the spirit,
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: the promised Holy Spirit was poured out to the one
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: hundred and twenty in the Upper Room. So this is
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: a prophecy hundreds of years before that happened. So this
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: prophecy stands. So when somebody goes up to me, or
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: goes up to you and says, don't trust your heart.

  Speaker 1: Your heart is wicked and evil and full of all
• 11:07
  Speaker 1: kinds of wickedness, you ask him this question that I
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: always ask, are you saying before I was saved or
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: after I was saved? Because before I was saved, my
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: heart and your heart, and all the hearts well were
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: like this. They were hearts of stone. Right. But God says,

  Speaker 1: he said, he will give us a new heart and

  Speaker 1: put a new spirit within us. So our heart was

  Speaker 1: given new and our spirit was filled with God's spirit. Now,

  Speaker 1: stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

  Speaker 1: I will put my spirit within you, holy spirit, and

  Speaker 1: cause you to walk in my statues, and you will

  Speaker 1: keep my ordinances. Cause you to walk in my statue,

  Speaker 1: not force you to follow, and not force you to

  Speaker 1: walk in his statue. But he would cause you because

  Speaker 1: once you see that you're being renewed, once you're seeing

  Speaker 1: that you're being transformed, redeemed, restored, God's word will move

  Speaker 1: you to places and to victorious moves in your life

  Speaker 1: That's the new way of living. I just wanted to

  Speaker 1: see how you felt about that, a man, see if

  Speaker 1: that prophecy was able to transform your way of thinking

  Speaker 1: about the heart that we have, about the old way

  Speaker 1: of living compared to the new way of living. We

  Speaker 1: have a new life. We have a new way of

  Speaker 1: living according to the prophet Ezekiu, God speaking through the prophet,

  Speaker 1: and then God fulfilling that prophecy in the Book of Acts,
• 12:45
  Speaker 1: when one hundred and twenty in the Upper Room received
• 12:48
  Speaker 1: the promised Holy Spirit. Amen. And then they would filled
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: with the Holy Spirit. And what did they do. They
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: went out to the byway highways in the streets and
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: they started preaching, and this gospel, a gospel of life,
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: the gospel of repentance. Amen. And they started winning souls
• 13:05
  Speaker 1: by the power of the Holy Spirit. Three thousand thousands
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: came to the Lord that same very day. Amen. And

  Speaker 1: the birth of the New Covenant Church was birthed. The
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: God's Church on this planet was birthed by way of
• 13:19
  Speaker 1: his Holy Spirit. A prophecy that he used Ezekiel to
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: speak out, Amen, was fulfilled hundreds of years later. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So this is a new year, new start. I like
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: because it gets me refocused on what God did and
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: what God promised to do, and what we're doing right now. Amen.

  Speaker 1: And then we have a set of twelve fresh new

  Speaker 1: months according to our calendar, because our calendar is not
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: the same as the biblical calendar, or you know that, right,

  Speaker 1: We're not on the same calendar, but we have days.

  Speaker 1: We have days, we have a twenty four hour clock.

  Speaker 1: We have a system that we follow that God sits
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: outside of. But yet he is so much of a

  Speaker 1: graciul graceful God or God of grace that he works

  Speaker 1: with us. Amen. But his timing is not like our timing.

  Speaker 1: His ways are not like our ways. His thoughts are
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: not like our thoughts. Amen. He's high and lifted up.

  Speaker 1: He's above our ways our thoughts. He sits outside of
• 14:19
  Speaker 1: our time, but yet reveals himself and then in our
• 14:23
  Speaker 1: current time. It's amazing. God is everywhere here. He's an

  Speaker 1: omnipresent God. Amen. Jehovah Shama, the God who is there

  Speaker 1: in your situation and in my situation. We can't beat that.

  Speaker 1: It's a plan that is just next level amazing. We

  Speaker 1: have everything we need to live out this life and

  Speaker 1: godliness and wholeness. Amen. Let me get to my notes here.

  Speaker 1: So a new way of living for Christians. For Christians

  Speaker 1: is rooted in the transformative power of the gospel. Gospel

  Speaker 1: is a good news message and the new identity. New

  Speaker 1: identity we have in Christ we will identify when we

  Speaker 1: were born. So I was thinking about that yesterday. You know,

  Speaker 1: you heard people say, forget about who you used to be,

  Speaker 1: and I'm like, I don't know if we could forget
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: about how it used to be. I think we could
• 15:13
  Speaker 1: forget about how we used to act, how it used
• 15:16
  Speaker 1: to be in behavior. But I was born. Get ready,

  Speaker 1: don't fall out, because I'm gonna reveal my age. I

  Speaker 1: was born way back in nineteen seventy one. Wooh right,

  Speaker 1: Bruce Lee. Ever in nineteen seventy one, I was born.

  Speaker 1: So that same baby in nineteen seventy one is me.

  Speaker 1: Hey man, I'm that baby. Only thing is that I

  Speaker 1: twenty twenty five from the time that it's recorded. So

  Speaker 1: I can't forget where I came from. I can't forget

  Speaker 1: the year that God placed me on his earth. But

  Speaker 1: I can forget the old patterns that I used to

  Speaker 1: live a man, my old behavior. I can forget that,

  Speaker 1: leave that back. But who I was in nineteen seventy

  Speaker 1: one is me. That was me. I was a baby.

  Speaker 1: I believe you had a date of birth as well, right,

  Speaker 1: So we can't forget who we were. I think what

  Speaker 1: people are trying to say, is that we could forget

  Speaker 1: those old behaviors and that old way of living and

  Speaker 1: living a new way of living. Amen. So we have

  Speaker 1: a new identity in Christ. When we come to faith

  Speaker 1: in Jesus, we are not just giving a new set
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: of rules to follow. Like so many people, including myself.

  Speaker 1: I thought, I was like, Oh, here we go, and
• 16:31
  Speaker 1: they want me to go to church and I have
• 16:32
  Speaker 1: to follow all these rules on top of the rules
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: that I have in school, on top of the rules
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: I have at work, on top of the rules that
• 16:41
  Speaker 1: have with the police and all the authorities around me.
• 16:45
  Speaker 1: I thought it was gonna be another book of rules.
• 16:47
  Speaker 1: I thought this Bible Amen wasna, there's gonna be nothing
• 16:50
  Speaker 1: but a book of rules. Until I realized, I said,
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: wait a minute, Nothing in this Holy Bible was forced
• 16:56
  Speaker 1: upon me. Amen. It was actually offered to me in
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: a way that I can understand. Nothing was forced. So
• 17:04
  Speaker 1: we have a new identity in Christ, a new heart,
• 17:07
  Speaker 1: a new spirit, enabling us to live in a way
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: that reflects our union with Him. God reflects our union
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: with Him. We read their prophet Ezekiel thirty six, twenty
• 17:22
  Speaker 1: six and twenty seven, and I believe. Another way that
• 17:25
  Speaker 1: that prophecy was fulfilled is when the apostle Paul, filled
• 17:30
  Speaker 1: by the Holy Spirit, says this, And this is one
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: of the first verses. God gave me to my memory
• 17:36
  Speaker 1: when I first got saved and I went chasing after
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: my wife to try to convince her that I was
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: a new man. Amen. After she thought I was completely
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: out of control, God gave me this word. God gave
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: me this scripture and I memorized it put it to
• 17:52
  Speaker 1: my memory. I was like, Wow, that's that's incredible that
• 17:56
  Speaker 1: I will help me memorize anything the way my mama
• 18:00
  Speaker 1: mine was. Back then, I thought I will never remember anything,
• 18:03
  Speaker 1: especially anything from the Word of God. So Second Corinthians,
• 18:07
  Speaker 1: you've probably heard this, and a lot of people know
• 18:10
  Speaker 1: the scripture by heart. I know about heart too. I
• 18:13
  Speaker 1: just want to read it. I want to go old
• 18:15
  Speaker 1: school with the scripture in front of me. Amen. Second

  Speaker 1: Corinthians five seventeen. And the Bible says what this means
• 18:25
  Speaker 1: is that those who become Christians become new persons. They
• 18:29
  Speaker 1: are not the same anymore. For the old life is gone,
• 18:32
  Speaker 1: a new life has begun. So the old patterns and
• 18:38
  Speaker 1: the old sinful nature Amen. All that stuff and a

  Speaker 1: Christian's life should be gone. I know people are saying, Oh,
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: God's still working with me or working on me. He's
• 18:49
  Speaker 1: working in everyone. Amen. His Holy Spirit never since, his
• 18:52
  Speaker 1: never spirit, his Holy Spirit never gets weak, his Holy
• 18:55
  Speaker 1: Spirit never gets tired, his Holy Spirit doesn't forget his
• 18:58
  Speaker 1: Holy you know what I mean. Yeah, He's working on everyone.

  Speaker 1: He's working through us. Amen. So don't let that be

  Speaker 1: fall in sin. Amen. You know, when we sin, we sin,

  Speaker 1: we're sinning, we're Holy Spirit living inside of us if

  Speaker 1: you're born again, right, So we can't use that as
• 19:20
  Speaker 1: an excuse. And then the dangerous part about it is
• 19:24
  Speaker 1: when you lose the conviction of those sins, those patterns, Amen,
• 19:29
  Speaker 1: and you be like, ah, God still working with me.
• 19:31
  Speaker 1: So you continue to sin because you are experiencing the
• 19:35
  Speaker 1: grace of God. Which, by the way, I think I
• 19:38
  Speaker 1: don't think we could abuse the grace of God, but
• 19:41
  Speaker 1: it just seems that way, right. It seems like we
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: do things, certain things over and over again, including myself,
• 19:46
  Speaker 1: and it seems like we get a pass. God is
• 19:49
  Speaker 1: not giving us a pass. He's showing us his amazing grace.

  Speaker 1: So whatever that pattern is, Amen, we prayed against a
• 19:56
  Speaker 1: pattern that comes to my life every January for the
• 19:59
  Speaker 1: past three years, a man with his sickness and his viruses.

  Speaker 1: And we could also come against any pattern of sin
• 20:04
  Speaker 1: in our lives that start with the celebrations in November, Thanksgiving,
• 20:09
  Speaker 1: Christmas in December and January New Year. That really could
• 20:13
  Speaker 1: spark up a lot of people's sinful nature a man
• 20:16
  Speaker 1: as we come together and celebrate all different kinds of ways. Right,
• 20:19
  Speaker 1: so we have to be mindful of the celebrations, mindful
• 20:22
  Speaker 1: of the gatherings who were gathering with Amen. So that
• 20:25
  Speaker 1: way we could stay in a place of being convicted
• 20:28
  Speaker 1: of being a listener right to the Holy Spirit when
• 20:32
  Speaker 1: he tells us, listen, don't go that way, don't attach
• 20:34
  Speaker 1: with those people, don't drink that, don't smoke that, and
• 20:37
  Speaker 1: don't watch that, and don't listen to that. We have
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: to be mindful Holy Spirit is living inside of us.

  Speaker 1: We can't get any closer. We have a perfect union.

  Speaker 1: You know how I be preaching that perfect union with

  Speaker 1: the one who's in us, the hope of glory. So

  Speaker 1: this new way of living a man, the new way

  Speaker 1: of living is characterized by freedom from the law and

  Speaker 1: the power of sin. We are free from the life law,

  Speaker 1: all the law, and the power of sin, all sin.

  Speaker 1: You know, you're not convinced with that, right. The reason

  Speaker 1: why we might not be convinced with that is because

  Speaker 1: we keep on getting these traditional teachings, Amen, about the law,

  Speaker 1: how we're under certain laws, and some laws were no
• 21:15
  Speaker 1: longer under something, laws were under tithing. And also we
• 21:19
  Speaker 1: still get these teachings because they're traditional and they're popular teachings.

  Speaker 1: But when you look at the scripture for yourself, that's
• 21:25
  Speaker 1: why I always I always encourage people to look at
• 21:27
  Speaker 1: the scriptures for yourself to realize your new identity in Christ,

  Speaker 1: that no, you don't have a sinful heart anymore. You
• 21:33
  Speaker 1: have a new mind, the mind of Christ. You have
• 21:36
  Speaker 1: the heart of God now a man when Holy Spirit

  Speaker 1: is inside of you. All that other stuff we're free from.

  Speaker 1: We're free from the law and the power of sin.

  Speaker 1: The power of sin is that And what that means

  Speaker 1: is that before we were mourn again, Amen, we were

  Speaker 1: there was a lot of tension. But God doesn't look

  Speaker 1: no longer gonna be looking at ourselves with tension like,

  Speaker 1: oh you sinned, and then you look at me and said,

  Speaker 1: but you send too, and a tension like what's happening

  Speaker 1: in the capitol. What happened that day? It was the

  Speaker 1: first time I experienced that kind of tension before when

  Speaker 1: people did not want this party or these people sworn in.

  Speaker 1: So they were fighting against the grain. They were fighting

  Speaker 1: against what was already inevitable. They were fighting against what
• 23:05
  Speaker 1: was already elected. Amen, But God, I thought about it

  Speaker 1: that I said. But God doesn't treat us like that.

  Speaker 1: Kingdom of God is different. We don't look at each

  Speaker 1: other like, well, you're on the other side, and you

  Speaker 1: don't believe what we believe in. You don't believe in

  Speaker 1: the law no more. Or you know, listen, people think

  Speaker 1: that I'm trying to throw the law out. I can

  Speaker 1: throw on anything of the scripture out. I just know

  Speaker 1: that I'm not under the law anymore, according to the

  Speaker 1: great argument and the great description and the great details

  Speaker 1: that Apostle Paul filled with hold the Spirit tells us

  Speaker 1: in his writings about us being free from the law

  Speaker 1: and the power of sin. So your gripe is not

  Speaker 1: gonna be with me. If you want to keep the

  Speaker 1: laws and the commandments, your grip is going to be

  Speaker 1: with the Apostle Paul, who says, we're no longer under

  Speaker 1: those patterns. We're no longer under that system anymore. We're

  Speaker 1: in a new covenant, which is actually a better covenant

  Speaker 1: according to the Book of Hebrews. So the power sin

  Speaker 1: no longer. Amen, We're free from the law. We are

  Speaker 1: no longer under the law. But under what grace. And

  Speaker 1: this is where a lot of people might misunderstand what

  Speaker 1: I mean about people who are under grace, just because

  Speaker 1: you see people, and we see all throughout our culture

  Speaker 1: and they're doing things opposing God, mocking the Lord, and
• 24:26
  Speaker 1: they go ahead and live and it looks like they're
• 24:28
  Speaker 1: prospering financially, they're famous, they have possessions, all of that,
• 24:34
  Speaker 1: they have a big, huge following. All of that. That's
• 24:36
  Speaker 1: the grace of God. God even has grace on the devil.
• 24:41
  Speaker 1: He could have annihilated the devil, but instead of annihilating him,
• 24:43
  Speaker 1: he kicked him out. He had him kicked out because
• 24:47
  Speaker 1: God himself didn't lift the finger. The Angel of the
• 24:50
  Speaker 1: Lord Amen, one of the angels kicked Lucifer out of
• 24:54
  Speaker 1: heaven and then he was allowed to live Grace. And
• 24:58
  Speaker 1: man Adam and Eve when they when they disobey God,

  Speaker 1: instead of God annihilating them, they were just kicked out grace. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So God of grace in the Old Covenant, the same

  Speaker 1: God of grace in the New Covenant. Our relationship with

  Speaker 1: do need to keep boundaries. We have to be orderly right.

  Speaker 1: We can't just go buck wild. I can't do one

  Speaker 1: thing one day and do something else and try to

  Speaker 1: defend what I did that was opposed to what God

  Speaker 1: told me or opposed to his word, and then come

  Speaker 1: up here and be like, Oh, don't worry about it.

  Speaker 1: That's God's grace. We're not going to play that game.

  Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I think they would try

  Speaker 1: to play that game, and Apostle Paul addressed it. Amen
