- 0:00Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York So Mark Simone
- 0:04Speaker 1: show on seven ten, wor Hey, it's one day. We
- 0:09Speaker 1: got a lot to get to. We'll get to Gaza,
- 0:12Speaker 1: We'll get to the shutdown. We'll get to Portland, We'll
- 0:15Speaker 1: get to MSNBC, Taylor Swift, Mark Sanchez, We'll get to
- 0:23Speaker 1: Netflix has seven big problems. We got lots to talk
- 0:25Speaker 1: about today. We'll get to the mayoral race throughout the program.
- 0:29Speaker 1: There's all kinds of myths in this mayoral race. WI
- 0:33Speaker 1: if only Eric Adams would drop out, that would help Cuomo,
- 0:37Speaker 1: then Cuomo could well. First of all, Eric Adams did
- 0:40Speaker 1: drop out. You'll see this coming the polling pretty soon.
- 0:43Speaker 1: This is the myth that people don't get. If Eric
- 0:45Speaker 1: Adams were to drop out, which he did, the votes
- 0:48Speaker 1: don't go to Cuomo. He might pick up a couple,
- 0:51Speaker 1: but half those Adams votes will go to Mom Donnie.
- 0:53Speaker 1: It's not going to change much.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You know.
- 0:55Speaker 1: He keeps saying Curtis, if only Curtis would get out.
- 0:57Speaker 1: If Curtis gets out, the votes are not going to
- 1:00Speaker 1: Andrew Cuomo. Curtis's voters aren't switching to Andrew Cuomo. They
- 1:04Speaker 1: hate Andrew Cuomo. At best, they'll just stay home. That'll
- 1:08Speaker 1: be it. So these getting these people to drop out
- 1:10Speaker 1: will not affect the race. But we'll get to the
- 1:13Speaker 1: mayor race in detail coming up. President Trump, looks like
- 1:17Speaker 1: tomorrow's the end. Well, tomorrow is the anniversary of October seventh,
- 1:21Speaker 1: two year anniversary. It looks like the deal is going
- 1:26Speaker 1: to happen. Now Hamas is holding out. You gotta remember
- 1:28Speaker 1: Hamas the most awful, evil, treacherous, dirtiest, filthiest snakes. So
- 1:36Speaker 1: when you make an agreement with them, I don't know
- 1:38Speaker 1: what that's going to do in the long run. It
- 1:41Speaker 1: may get the hostages out right away, that'll be good.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Benjamin Nighttya who had to really really be pressured into
- 1:48Speaker 1: it by Donald Trump basically screaming at him, stop being
- 1:52Speaker 1: according to this exchange, stop being so f a negative.
- 1:55Speaker 1: It's a win. Take it. You're not going to ever
- 1:57Speaker 1: do any better than this. And it looks like it's
- 2:00Speaker 1: a pretty good deal. And if there's delays, that's okay too.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Let Israel go in there and keep finishing up the job.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But we'll see what happens. It'll happen probably in the
- 2:10Speaker 1: next couple of days. Hey, the government shutdown. You know,
- 2:13Speaker 1: it's fascinating if you watch the news, if you watch anything,
- 2:18Speaker 1: even the left left, left wing Morning Joe type shows.
- 2:22Speaker 1: The government shutdown was like the twenty seventh story buried
- 2:25Speaker 1: somewhere half an hour into the show. It's not even
- 2:28Speaker 1: a story anymore. You had that Hakeem Jeffreys all over
- 2:32Speaker 1: television and Schumer yelling everybody's gonna die. This is the
- 2:35Speaker 1: worst crisis. Everybody's gonna die. Then Friday they said, we're
- 2:40Speaker 1: off for the weekend. We'll see you next week, and
- 2:42Speaker 1: they left for the weekend. If everybody's gonna die, but
- 2:45Speaker 1: we're taking a couple of days off, be back next week.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It's a strange, and you can blame Republicans for that too.
- 2:52Speaker 1: They should have been demanding a vote every second. But
- 2:55Speaker 1: the government shutdown is not affecting everybody. It'll drag on,
- 2:59Speaker 1: it doesn't mean much. Do you remember where you were
- 3:01Speaker 1: December twenty eighteen. No, Well, that was when we had
- 3:07Speaker 1: the longest government shutdown ever, thirty five days. You don't
- 3:10Speaker 1: even remember it. You've been through literally a dozen shutdowns.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You don't remember any of them. So don't worry about it.
- 3:18Speaker 1: What else is going on? This is great news. MSNBC
- 3:24Speaker 1: has been thrown out of NBC. NBC wants nothing to
- 3:28Speaker 1: do with MSNBC. They've been told they get the hell
- 3:31Speaker 1: out of the building, get that peacock off your logo,
- 3:34Speaker 1: take our name out of there. It's going step by
- 3:37Speaker 1: step by step. So this week is when they pull
- 3:40Speaker 1: away all of NBC news access from MSNBC. You know,
- 3:46Speaker 1: MSNBC tries to they make it look like there's some
- 3:49Speaker 1: sort of a news network. It's just very, very very
- 3:52Speaker 1: left wing site. Some call it a propaganda site, but
- 3:55Speaker 1: it's extremely slanted pro Democrat stuff. But because they can
- 4:03Speaker 1: keep switching now our NBC News correspondent and then they
- 4:06Speaker 1: can put the NBC News logo, people get the impression
- 4:08Speaker 1: of watching some sort of a news network. It's not
- 4:11Speaker 1: in any way a news network. So this is the
- 4:14Speaker 1: week they'll start taking away every resource of NBC News.
- 4:19Speaker 1: They will not be able to cut to an NBC
- 4:21Speaker 1: News correspondent or say NBC News. They'll have to hire
- 4:25Speaker 1: their own correspondents. They've also they're getting tossed out of
- 4:28Speaker 1: the building over there in Rockefeller Center. They're moving to
- 4:31Speaker 1: temporary studios in Times Square. They by the end of
- 4:35Speaker 1: the year. Have to stop saying MSNBC. The new name
- 4:38Speaker 1: will be ms NOW And we've finally been told what
- 4:42Speaker 1: the now will stand for. Ms NOW will stand for.
- 4:49Speaker 1: This is ridiculous. It will stand for my Source News
- 4:53Speaker 1: Opinion World. Huh, what the hell does that mean? My
- 4:57Speaker 1: source news world. This is how bad things are over there.
- 5:03Speaker 1: This is all they could come up with. This, They
- 5:05Speaker 1: had a month to work on. This My source News
- 5:08Speaker 1: Opinion World doesn't even make any sense. So, hey, this
- 5:11Speaker 1: just happened. Moments ago. Gallaine Maxwell had gone to the
- 5:15Speaker 1: Supreme Court to get her conviction overturned. Supreme Court turned
- 5:19Speaker 1: her down, So that's it as far as getting the
- 5:22Speaker 1: conviction overturned. Supreme Court rejected her bid to do that. Hey,
- 5:27Speaker 1: the Charlie Kirk shooter apparently the assassin. They've absolutely confirmed
- 5:32Speaker 1: everything about him being there. I guess he didn't take
- 5:37Speaker 1: his cell phone, you know, they would have a GPS
- 5:39Speaker 1: tracker in it, but they were able to confirm it.
- 5:41Speaker 1: The campus. College campuses don't have great security, but they
- 5:45Speaker 1: do have great surveillance video, and they've used the surveillance video.
- 5:49Speaker 1: They've tracked the shooter every inch of the way. They
- 5:52Speaker 1: know exactly what he did. Apparently came a couple hours
- 5:55Speaker 1: before the shooting, walked around, scoped out the whole area,
- 6:00Speaker 1: have to change his clothes to all that black, and
- 6:02Speaker 1: then came back and that's when it happened. They've also
- 6:05Speaker 1: got his footprints. He was wearing these Converse sneakers, which
- 6:08Speaker 1: they have and they absolutely match all the footprints on
- 6:12Speaker 1: the roof and everywhere. So it looks like a sure
- 6:15Speaker 1: conviction for this guy. You know, normally if you have
- 6:19Speaker 1: an assassination, there's NonStop coverage of the assassin. Remember Lee
- 6:23Speaker 1: Harvey Oswald, do it delve into all these reports and
- 6:27Speaker 1: stories about Oswald has passed his life, his family is
- 6:30Speaker 1: This same thing happened with Sir Hans Sirhan and James
- 6:34Speaker 1: Earl Ray. But because these are Republicans that are targets,
- 6:38Speaker 1: no coverage, no coverage the Trump shooting in Pennsylvania. Have
- 6:42Speaker 1: you ever heard one word about the assassin, instant cover up,
- 6:45Speaker 1: not a word about it, nothing, not even mentioned second
- 6:52Speaker 1: Trump shooter. Not a word of coverage about who the
- 6:54Speaker 1: guy is or anything about him. And the same thing
- 6:57Speaker 1: with this Charlie kirkshooter, no coverage at all. Speaking of
- 7:01Speaker 1: no coverage. Here's the most uncovered story, no coverage at
- 7:05Speaker 1: all of this from mainstream media. There's a Virginia race,
- 7:09Speaker 1: governor's race, attorney general's race, and the Democratic candidate Attorney
- 7:14Speaker 1: General j Jones gets caught calling for assassination, endorsing assassination
- 7:21Speaker 1: of Republicans. They find his text messages where he's talking
- 7:24Speaker 1: about certain Republicans and he says things like two bullets
- 7:29Speaker 1: in the head for this guy and one bullet for
- 7:31Speaker 1: his family. Literally just talking about assassination, endorsing assassinations. So
- 7:37Speaker 1: everybody calling, well not everybody, but Republicans calling for this
- 7:41Speaker 1: Jay Jones to drop out of the race, and not
- 7:43Speaker 1: a word from Democrats about it. Democrats should be condemning
- 7:48Speaker 1: this kind of stuff, this calling for assassination. Nothing from them.
- 7:52Speaker 1: The only Democrat that commented on had tried to defend it, said, well,
- 7:55Speaker 1: it was a private conversation. But even the Sunday shows
- 8:00Speaker 1: would not cover this story. One of the panelists sorts
- 8:03Speaker 1: a very end to meet the press brought it up
- 8:06Speaker 1: and the subject was quickly changed. But it's amazing what
- 8:11Speaker 1: they will not cover. They just bury this stuff. There's
- 8:17Speaker 1: another story you'll never see. You you won't read this anywhere.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Netflix stock is plunging because of their pro trans stuff.
- 8:25Speaker 1: They've been promoting transgender stuff, offending a lot of the audience.
- 8:29Speaker 1: It's no need to promote this, but I don't know why,
- 8:32Speaker 1: but Netflix has been doing it. The stock is plunging
- 8:36Speaker 1: as a result. You got to get that book, Charlie
- 8:39Speaker 1: Gasprino's book, Go Woke, Go Broke. Read the book. It's
- 8:42Speaker 1: not going to help any company to go woke. Chub
- 8:46Speaker 1: Insurance that's considered the finest insurance company, Chubb. You know,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you got all your regular insurance companies, but there's AIG
- 8:54Speaker 1: is very good and all that, but when Chubb is
- 8:57Speaker 1: like the gold standard, nobody gives better coverage than Chubb.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's expensive. You gotta pay a lot more. And they
- 9:04Speaker 1: turned down a lot of people. It's not easy to
- 9:05Speaker 1: get them. But now they're under fire. They got a
- 9:08Speaker 1: new chairman apparently trying to take them woke. Chubb becoming woke.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Now watch this or you got the greatest insurance company
- 9:15Speaker 1: there is. Watch watch this guy. I'll ruin this company
- 9:17Speaker 1: with his woke nonsense. Hey speaking in which Jane Goodall,
- 9:22Speaker 1: well he hears these wonderful things about Jane Goodall. Look
- 9:25Speaker 1: at her parting words were her final words. She'd like
- 9:29Speaker 1: to send Musk up in one of his spaceships with
- 9:32Speaker 1: Trump putin and net Yahoo. In other words, this is
- 9:35Speaker 1: what she These are the people she hates in life,
- 9:38Speaker 1: Musk Trump, Putin, Okay, I can understand Putin, but net Nyaho.
- 9:43Speaker 1: That's the final words from Jane Goodall. So don't nominate
- 9:49Speaker 1: her for sainthood just yet. Hey, mom, Donnie is in Uganda,
- 9:57Speaker 1: his home country. He's a citizen of Uganda. You know,
- 10:00Speaker 1: besides the political nonsense of Mom Donnie, have we ever
- 10:04Speaker 1: had a mayoral candidate who is just a little kid,
- 10:07Speaker 1: he's thirty four years old. This would be his first job.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Have we ever had a mayoral candidate who just became
- 10:12Speaker 1: a citizen a few minutes ago, became a citizen just
- 10:15Speaker 1: a couple of years ago, has dual citizenship. I mean,
- 10:20Speaker 1: of course, you got a total corruption of the media,
- 10:22Speaker 1: no coverage of this, Nobody going after any of this.
- 10:26Speaker 1: But he was in Uganda, and there's a woman there
- 10:30Speaker 1: who is backing this legislation to have you put in
- 10:33Speaker 1: jail for being gay. If you're gay, you go to prison.
- 10:36Speaker 1: That's it. And here he was smiling and hugging her
- 10:39Speaker 1: and arm around her, smiling for a picture. Now, of
- 10:43Speaker 1: course he's now being asked about it. I was in
- 10:47Speaker 1: the airport, she came up to me. I didn't know
- 10:49Speaker 1: who she was. Yeah, nobody's buying that. Hey, they're going
- 10:52Speaker 1: back to this is when you're really getting weak. They're
- 10:54Speaker 1: going back to attacking anybody who doesn't pronounce his name correctly.
- 10:58Speaker 1: If you don't say mom, donnie. Remember the debates Cuomo
- 11:01Speaker 1: couldn't pronounce his name, kept saying Mandammy or whatever. Uh,
- 11:06Speaker 1: I like the Al Sharpton pronounce You remember Al Sharpton
- 11:09Speaker 1: called him man Danny. But there's a whole flak now.
- 11:12Speaker 1: But if you don't get his name right, take a listen.
- 11:14Speaker 3: The President reserves the right to get involved in racist
- 11:17Speaker 3: or not get involved in racist, although he has gone
- 11:20Speaker 3: as hard as say he absolutely does not want to
- 11:22Speaker 3: see uh.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Zimdamidami Zoron Mandami Mandami zoron Mundami.
- 11:28Speaker 3: His name is Zorn Mandanie.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Mister Mandami.
- 11:34Speaker 4: He's very good on Twitter and with videos, but he
- 11:36Speaker 4: actually produces nothing.
- 11:38Speaker 3: The name is Mam Donnie, m A M D A N.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I you should learn how to say it because we
- 11:44Speaker 3: got to get it right.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Oh, calm down, and when you're really weak, deep down.
- 11:50Speaker 1: This is what Kamala Harris did. Remember you got yelled
- 11:52Speaker 1: at if you didn't pronounce your name correctly. I still
- 11:55Speaker 1: don't know it. Kamala, Kamala, Kamala. If you say Kamala,
- 12:00Speaker 1: you were practically run out of the country. It was
- 12:02Speaker 1: the worst thing in the world. And everybody mispronounced her name.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Obama mispronounced her name. You know, when she was sworn
- 12:08Speaker 1: in as vice president, was just a soda my air
- 12:11Speaker 1: that swore her in. And if you go back and
- 12:13Speaker 1: check the swearing in, listen to the swearing in. She says, Kamela.
- 12:20Speaker 1: She gets it wrong. So but you can't worry about this.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Here's mom Donnie about this subject.
- 12:25Speaker 3: What I take offense to is not someone's initial mispronunciation
- 12:29Speaker 3: of my name. What I take offense to is the repeated,
- 12:32Speaker 3: intentional Like Andrew Cuomo, this is someone who has made
- 12:36Speaker 3: it a part of his politics to deny even the
- 12:40Speaker 3: basic modicum of dignity to me as someone who is
- 12:44Speaker 3: running in the same race. And I think what is
- 12:47Speaker 3: so troubling is not what it means for me as
- 12:49Speaker 3: an individual. But it's the fact that this is the
- 12:51Speaker 3: experience of so many.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I see you. Sounds a little pompous and pious.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I don't think he's trying to take your dignity away.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I think he just honestly doesn't know how the hell
- 13:01Speaker 1: to pronounce your name. So hey. Saturday Night Live debuted
- 13:05Speaker 1: the season. This is season fifty one. There wasn't mom Donnie,
- 13:09Speaker 1: or as Al Sharpton would say, mam dammy. There was
- 13:11Speaker 1: a character based on him New York.
- 13:13Speaker 5: New York candidate Zoran Mam Donnie ran an uh.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Well.
- 13:19Speaker 5: He ran an ad during an episode of Golden Bachelor,
- 13:22Speaker 5: in which he said, New York, will you accept this roles?
- 13:26Speaker 5: Not to be outdone, Andrew Cuomo ran an ad in
- 13:28Speaker 5: which he said, Hanker.
- 13:32Speaker 1: All right, it's not that funny, but for Saturday Night Live,
- 13:34Speaker 1: it's funny. You know, in the year three, it wouldn't
- 13:37Speaker 1: have made it into the final cut, but Saturday Night
- 13:39Speaker 1: in life not so funny anymore. That makes it now.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Eric Adams, New York.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Maya Eric Adams has ended his re election bid, citing
- 13:49Speaker 5: an official reason. Citing an official reason of too much.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Swagger for y'all. Again, that wouldn't have made it into
- 13:57Speaker 1: the final cut year three, two twenty six. But it's
- 14:01Speaker 1: now you're fifty one. They'll run out of gas. They're
- 14:04Speaker 1: running on fumes, and that's about as good as a guess. Now, hey,
- 14:08Speaker 1: they had Bad Bunny as the host this past week.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You know, he's really not bad that Bad Bunny. Musically
- 14:14Speaker 1: he's great and as far as I mean he's not
- 14:18Speaker 1: a brilliant stand up comedian with the monologue, but the sketches,
- 14:20Speaker 1: the guy was great. He's got a lot of charm.
- 14:22Speaker 1: He's The argument is he shouldn't be the super Bowl halftime.
- 14:26Speaker 1: You could make that case. He's not big enough to
- 14:28Speaker 1: be the super Bowl halftime. He's big enough to be
- 14:32Speaker 1: a host of Saturday Night Live because ninety percent of
- 14:34Speaker 1: the time when you watch that in Night Live, you
- 14:36Speaker 1: know you know you're getting older when you don't know
- 14:37Speaker 1: who the musical guests are. You know you're getting much
- 14:41Speaker 1: older when you don't know who the hosts are. So
- 14:44Speaker 1: but usually NFL halftime he's like the biggest star, like
- 14:48Speaker 1: the top tier. He's big Bad Bunny, but he's not
- 14:53Speaker 1: absolute top two. I mean, it really should have been
- 14:55Speaker 1: Taylor Swift this year. But I guess I guess you
- 14:58Speaker 1: got too big to even be the NFL halftime show. Hey,
- 15:01Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. Michael Goodman will be with
- 15:03Speaker 1: us in a few minutes. Scott Shannon will be with
- 15:06Speaker 1: us later. We'll talk about the Taylor Swift release and
- 15:10Speaker 1: what it's actually done, and we'll take some calls next.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:16Speaker 1: the number eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 15:20Speaker 1: ten in Mark on Demand by setting up presead for
- 15:25Speaker 1: his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Now back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Diane in Illinois. Diane,
- 15:37Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 15:38Speaker 6: I'm doing really good. Mark. Hey, because I live in Illinois,
- 15:41Speaker 6: I can't vote in your mayoral election. But I love
- 15:44Speaker 6: New York. It's a wonderful city. I'm a little confused though,
- 15:46Speaker 6: you said that this month Donny Guy just became a
- 15:49Speaker 6: citizen a group of Uganda. But I see commercials where
- 15:52Speaker 6: he brags about being a kid growing up in New
- 15:54Speaker 6: York City.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he's only came here in recent years. He
- 15:58Speaker 1: only became a citizen. I think five six years ago. Uh,
- 16:01Speaker 1: he'd ben't here much longer, but he's from you Ganda.
- 16:04Speaker 1: They still have a home, and you got how many
- 16:06Speaker 1: people you know have a weekend home in Uganda? So short,
- 16:12Speaker 1: all right, Diane, thanks for calling. Let's go to uh
- 16:15Speaker 1: Rich Myrtle beach Rich. How you doing pretty good?
- 16:18Speaker 4: Mark?
- 16:18Speaker 2: Thanks? You know, when I found out that the Obamas
- 16:21Speaker 2: were going to be part owners or get money from Netflix,
- 16:24Speaker 2: I was never given Netflix up any of my hard
- 16:26Speaker 2: earned money ever. But as you think any of this
- 16:29Speaker 2: has to do with Elon Musk home for the boycott
- 16:31Speaker 2: of Netflix and why they're going down a tube s Oh.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, that definitely helped, definitely helps stock is
- 16:36Speaker 1: plunging Netflix in trouble. This. I don't know why they
- 16:40Speaker 1: got so involved in promoting transgender nonsense. I don't know
- 16:43Speaker 1: why they why.
- 16:44Speaker 2: The kids from I saw a post in Peter King
- 16:49Speaker 2: talk about my Donnie this. I I'm Donnie's that, but
- 16:52Speaker 2: one of these Republicans doing to come in and try
- 16:54Speaker 2: to get people to vote Republican, because, like you've mentioned
- 16:57Speaker 2: many times, if you only get a twenty percent turnout,
- 16:59Speaker 2: I'm Donnie wins. If you get fifty percent of more,
- 17:01Speaker 2: Curtis might actually win this thing.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I turn out Curtis wins. Yeah, you're right. That's
- 17:05Speaker 1: that's the main problem. The Republican Party in New York
- 17:09Speaker 1: is a tiny thing. It's a little tiny thing. The
- 17:11Speaker 1: Democrats have a massive ground game. Ground game is the key.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That's the teams that people that go out and get
- 17:17Speaker 1: to knock on doors and get voters and then on
- 17:19Speaker 1: election day they bring them to the polls. The Democrats
- 17:23Speaker 1: have like sixty thousand in that army, that ground game.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Republicans nothing, nothing, No, there's barely a Republican Party in
- 17:32Speaker 1: New York. That's really the problem. Let's go to Chris
- 17:34Speaker 1: and Manhattan. Chris, how you doing.
- 17:36Speaker 7: I'm good. Thanks Mark. Listen, you said before that if
- 17:40Speaker 7: Curtis were to drop out, people wouldn't vote for Cuomo. Noo, no.
- 17:46Speaker 7: But I don't want Mandamie and I want I want
- 17:49Speaker 7: Curtis to win, but I don't think Curtis can wins.
- 17:52Speaker 7: Was between Monday.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Well, well, there's one thing we know for a fact,
- 17:54Speaker 1: because we've already there's one thing we absolutely know. We've
- 17:57Speaker 1: tested it. Cuomo cannot beat mom don We tried it
- 18:00Speaker 1: in the primary. He got wiped out in two debates.
- 18:03Speaker 1: He got wiped out in the way, so we know
- 18:04Speaker 1: for a fact he can't beat Mom Donnie. Now you're
- 18:07Speaker 1: gonna have it. Yeah, there's Curtis, and you'll have a
- 18:10Speaker 1: debate October sixteenth. That'll be Curtis's shot to change the
- 18:13Speaker 1: whole dynamic by.
- 18:14Speaker 7: Just Curtis for the record.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah, well, so you gotta remember, if we know Clomo
- 18:21Speaker 1: can't beat Mom Donnie, we already tried that. That's how
- 18:23Speaker 1: you got stuck with Mom Donnie because Cuomo was so
- 18:26Speaker 1: weak against him in the debates. But if Curtis were
- 18:30Speaker 1: to drop out, none of those votes would go to Cuomo,
- 18:32Speaker 1: none of them. There's no Curtis. We're talking about normal people,
- 18:37Speaker 1: we're talking about rational saying people, But nobody would go
- 18:40Speaker 1: to Curtis. Voter is not going to switch to Cuomo.
- 18:44Speaker 1: You know, when Adams dropped out, we find that half
- 18:46Speaker 1: those voters went to Mom Donnie. So it's not about
- 18:49Speaker 1: everybody dropping out. Anybody was going to be for Cuomo.
- 18:52Speaker 1: It's already for Cuomo, and it's all people that just
- 18:54Speaker 1: got bulldozed by Cuomo. He can't We've tried him against
- 19:00Speaker 1: Mam Donnie you know, Mam Donnie started out in the
- 19:02Speaker 1: primary as zero at zero. Once she had two debates
- 19:05Speaker 1: with Cuomo, he went to forty points and he just
- 19:09Speaker 1: Cuomo is so weak as a debater. Let's go to
- 19:12Speaker 1: Joel in Florida. Joel, how you doing.
- 19:15Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark. I hope you had a good weekend
- 19:17Speaker 8: and watch you have a good week Short of the
- 19:20Speaker 8: loss of revenue, in your opinion, is there anything that
- 19:24Speaker 8: can occur that could make the mainstream media the non
- 19:28Speaker 8: woke as woke as they have been.
- 19:31Speaker 1: New ownership, new ownership, and it's gonna that'll take time,
- 19:34Speaker 1: but a good question you got. CBS now has a
- 19:37Speaker 1: new owner, David Ellison, son of Larry Ellison. He's taken
- 19:41Speaker 1: over CBS. He's brought in a new This is now
- 19:44Speaker 1: confirmed by the Way today it will be Barry Weiss,
- 19:47Speaker 1: the new director of CBS News. She's from the New
- 19:51Speaker 1: York Times. But she's a sane, rational, old fashioned moderate
- 19:55Speaker 1: sort of a Democrat, and she does not like the
- 19:58Speaker 1: slanted news coverage. She will clean up CBS News. You'll
- 20:01Speaker 1: see a mutiny, You'll see a lot of people leave.
- 20:04Speaker 1: He has done this with CBS now. He's trying to
- 20:07Speaker 1: get Warner Brothers Discovery, which would include CNN. He would
- 20:12Speaker 1: then clean up CNN. He saw Musk do it with Twitter.
- 20:15Speaker 1: He cleaned up Twitter. It was the most biased left
- 20:18Speaker 1: wing censoring, crazy place, banning Trump, banning conservatives. Musk bought it,
- 20:25Speaker 1: cleaned it up. So you'll see CBS get cleaned up next.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And if he gets a hold of CNN, you'll see
- 20:31Speaker 1: that get cleaned up. Let's go to Joanne in New Jersey. Joanne,
- 20:35Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 20:36Speaker 5: Hi?
- 20:37Speaker 2: Are you familiar with jimash the singer from Kazakhstan who
- 20:41Speaker 2: played messas Square Going last night?
- 20:44Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 20:45Speaker 6: Yes, What do you think be the next Michael Jackson?
- 20:48Speaker 1: No? No, you got a little at least good, but
- 20:52Speaker 1: you still got a ways to you don't. It's it's
- 20:54Speaker 1: like everybody was the next Beatles, now everybody's the next
- 20:57Speaker 1: Michael Jackson. It doesn't really work that way. Let's go
- 21:00Speaker 1: to Richard and Bayshore. Richard, how you doing?
- 21:04Speaker 9: I'm doing well? Marked this when the total value of
- 21:06Speaker 9: all the savings from the upcoming shutdown cuts or tallied,
- 21:12Speaker 9: I think a good political move would be to apply
- 21:15Speaker 9: some portion of that money right away to an increase
- 21:18Speaker 9: in the cola that's coming for Social Security. Make it
- 21:21Speaker 9: a bonus cola. And this way people can see what
- 21:24Speaker 9: their money can be used for instead of all this nonsense.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, there's a lot of plans. But also
- 21:29Speaker 1: with the deficit, the trade deficit, money, the tariff money,
- 21:33Speaker 1: let's talk about both these things. Take that money. Let's
- 21:36Speaker 1: talk about a rebate check. Send every body, well it'd
- 21:40Speaker 1: be everybody, like under two hundred thousand a year. Send
- 21:42Speaker 1: everybody a check for five thousand dollars. Now, some are
- 21:45Speaker 1: arguing with Trump, don't send these rebate checks. Pay down
- 21:48Speaker 1: the deficit with it, pay down the debt with it.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I think people rather have the check. We were always
- 21:54Speaker 1: going to have this debt. We live with it. You
- 21:56Speaker 1: can pay it down. Yeah. Bill Clinton brought the debt
- 22:00Speaker 1: on almost the deficit down to nothing. But it just
- 22:03Speaker 1: pops right back up. But you will get something. You
- 22:07Speaker 1: will profit heavily off the shutdown. Hey, when we come back,
- 22:10Speaker 1: we'll talk to Michael Goodwin next. Lots to talk to
- 22:13Speaker 1: him about on seven to ten wor mister New York.
- 22:17Speaker 1: He's on the Game, The mar Simone Show on seventeen
- 22:21Speaker 1: wor Well, Michael Goodwin, the finest columnist in America. You
- 22:26Speaker 1: can read them every Sunday and every Wednesday in the
- 22:29Speaker 1: New York Post. All his columns are up on the
- 22:31Speaker 1: New York Post website. Michael Goodwin, how you doing.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark?
- 22:36Speaker 1: Thank you? Hey. What was that famous saying the Palestinians
- 22:40Speaker 1: never miss an opportunity, to miss an opportunity?
- 22:43Speaker 3: Ah?
- 22:43Speaker 4: Yes, one of my favorite lines, and I think we
- 22:48Speaker 4: could say with confidence it seems to be applying here
- 22:52Speaker 4: in the current situation.
- 22:54Speaker 1: So I don't know you've disagreement. It's I think it's
- 22:59Speaker 1: the best you could get right now. And congratulations of
- 23:02Speaker 1: President Trump for pushing it. But we've done this way,
- 23:05Speaker 1: haven't we been down this road before? And it never
- 23:08Speaker 1: holds up.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Well, Look, I think the even line that you mentioned
- 23:13Speaker 4: is certainly applies. The Palestinians and the Hamas in particular,
- 23:22Speaker 4: want to be the skunk at the garden party here
- 23:26Speaker 4: when you have so many endorsers of this deal, enthusiastic
- 23:31Speaker 4: endorsers Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, even cutter, you would
- 23:38Speaker 4: think that would create the momentum. And certainly President Trump
- 23:42Speaker 4: and Steve Whitcoffin Gared Koshner, who did the negotiations, thought
- 23:47Speaker 4: that they had pretty much a water tight deal twenty
- 23:53Speaker 4: points and beginning with the hostage release and the broad agreemond.
- 24:00Speaker 4: I think Mark was with a great achievement, achievement in
- 24:03Speaker 4: and of itself, and Hamas meant what I believe was
- 24:08Speaker 4: a false signal on Friday that it would it would
- 24:13Speaker 4: move on the hostage release. It was ready to do that,
- 24:18Speaker 4: and then it said but and the butt seems to
- 24:21Speaker 4: go on endlessly. It is calling for renegotiating what looks
- 24:27Speaker 4: to me like the heart of the deal. Otherwise. Now,
- 24:30Speaker 4: I think a hostage release would be a great thing
- 24:33Speaker 4: in and of itself if there were an exchange. But
- 24:38Speaker 4: if that doesn't work, why would any of the other
- 24:42Speaker 4: pieces of work, which ultimately get to disarmament of Hamas
- 24:47Speaker 4: and civil administrators and no role for Hamas in the governance.
- 24:53Speaker 4: So if they can't even complete the first step, there's
- 24:56Speaker 4: no hope of them completing the other steps. So I
- 24:59Speaker 4: think that that's why this thing has been bogged down
- 25:02Speaker 4: and you get yet a new round of negotiations. I
- 25:06Speaker 4: think that the Hamas strategy is just to negotiate this
- 25:11Speaker 4: till everybody gets tired of it and then walk away
- 25:14Speaker 4: from it. I don't think they want peace. I don't
- 25:16Speaker 4: think they want a settlement because it's the end of
- 25:19Speaker 4: their power.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, even I guess the end result of
- 25:23Speaker 1: all this thing would be a two state solution. Didn't
- 25:25Speaker 1: We just try a two state solution for twenty years
- 25:27Speaker 1: and look how it ended.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, Gaza was a two state solution, right.
- 25:33Speaker 4: It was a Palestinian state, and it became a terrorist state,
- 25:38Speaker 4: and that's what it remains. And to the of course,
- 25:42Speaker 4: great detriment and deaths of many civilians there who either
- 25:48Speaker 4: went along or had no choice but to go along
- 25:51Speaker 4: with the Hamas rule. And so we're coming up tomorrow, right,
- 25:55Speaker 4: is the two year anniversary of October seventh. Horrors of
- 26:00Speaker 4: that day and all all of what we have witnessed
- 26:04Speaker 4: sins can be traced back to that decision by Hamas
- 26:08Speaker 4: to invade, to take the hostages, to slaughter innocent civilians
- 26:13Speaker 4: month mostly of the twelve hundred Israelis they killed, most
- 26:17Speaker 4: of them were civilians. And so this is the fruits
- 26:21Speaker 4: of that poison tree. And Hamas doesn't seem ready to
- 26:25Speaker 4: let go.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, we'll see what happens, It's gonna be an
- 26:29Speaker 1: interesting week with that. Hey, let me ask you about
- 26:31Speaker 1: the mayoral race this. You know, it looks like people
- 26:34Speaker 1: are starting to think when Adams dropped out, half those
- 26:38Speaker 1: votes might go to Cuomo and half might go to Mamdani.
- 26:42Speaker 1: And there's this myth that if Curtis drops out, suddenly
- 26:44Speaker 1: Cuomo will get all those votes. Most of these Curtis
- 26:47Speaker 1: voters are not going to Cuomo. They'll pretty much just
- 26:49Speaker 1: stay home. What do you think?
- 26:53Speaker 4: Look, I think that Cuomo probably benefited more from the
- 27:00Speaker 4: Atoms withdrawal, or will I should say when the votes
- 27:03Speaker 4: are actually tabulating. I mean Adams was running at about
- 27:08Speaker 4: ten percent in the polls. Half of that, of course,
- 27:11Speaker 4: will be five points for Cuomo. I suspect it'll be
- 27:15Speaker 4: more than that because it won't just be the Adams voters.
- 27:19Speaker 4: But I think the net effect of Adams dropping out
- 27:24Speaker 4: is it makes Cuomo look like has an easier path
- 27:31Speaker 4: to the election. Now, obviously you're right that if Fleawah
- 27:36Speaker 4: stays in and he's there's no reason to think he's
- 27:39Speaker 4: going to change his mind. Yet I still think it's
- 27:42Speaker 4: going to end up with Mam Donnie winning. There's no
- 27:45Speaker 4: way that either one of them can top mom Donni
- 27:50Speaker 4: who I think alone, because I think he's probably got
- 27:55Speaker 4: a floor of somewhere around forty percent, and so people
- 28:00Speaker 4: are going to divide the remaining sixty percent. Neither one
- 28:03Speaker 4: of them is going to get there the way it
- 28:05Speaker 4: looks now.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Now the other thing is, you know, uh de Blasio,
- 28:09Speaker 1: people like that get elected because you got eighteen percent
- 28:12Speaker 1: twenty percent turnout and just the uh the left turns out.
- 28:15Speaker 1: If you could get back to the good old days
- 28:17Speaker 1: of seventy five eighty percent turnout, don't you think that
- 28:20Speaker 1: could make a difference.
- 28:22Speaker 4: Well, yes, a turnout could could swamp the you know
- 28:26Speaker 4: all these predictions. I mean, it is worth noting marked
- 28:30Speaker 4: that when Rudy Giuliani and David Dinkins had their rematch
- 28:36Speaker 4: in nineteen ninety three, where Giuliani won, there were on
- 28:42Speaker 4: the order of one point eight to one point nine
- 28:45Speaker 4: million votes cast. In more recent and more recent elections,
- 28:50Speaker 4: there have been one point one million votes. Think about that.
- 28:54Speaker 4: The city has grown dramatically since nineteen ninety three, by
- 28:59Speaker 4: probably close to a million people, and yet the voting
- 29:04Speaker 4: totals are still far less. And so if you were
- 29:07Speaker 4: to get a big turnout, that the perils of a
- 29:12Speaker 4: big turnout are that there's enthusiasm, more enthusiasms for Mom
- 29:17Speaker 4: Donnie than there is anyone else, and so a big
- 29:21Speaker 4: turnout could could actually mean more Mam Donnie voters. So
- 29:25Speaker 4: I think absent a two person race, Mam Donni looks
- 29:31Speaker 4: like inevitable from this point of view.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Well, we'll see what happens. The only thing that could
- 29:36Speaker 1: change the course of things might be the debate October sixteenth.
- 29:41Speaker 4: That's true, And look, I think Cuomo has done a
- 29:44Speaker 4: better job of He's been more active and jumping on
- 29:49Speaker 4: these things with Mam Donnie. Some of the things Mamdani.
- 29:52Speaker 4: You know that the Post covered today of Mamdani with
- 29:55Speaker 4: the Ugandan leader who hates gays, you have, you know,
- 30:00Speaker 4: with the whole issue of globalizing into fada. So there's
- 30:06Speaker 4: just there's just a lot. There are a lot of
- 30:09Speaker 4: ghosts or in Mam Donnie's closets, and I think they
- 30:13Speaker 4: could really hurt him, and I think Cuomo is doing
- 30:15Speaker 4: a better job of bringing them out and seizing on
- 30:18Speaker 4: it and highlighting it. So it really as a warning
- 30:23Speaker 4: to Mam Donnie voters. Look, this is what you're buying
- 30:26Speaker 4: this is this is the guy you're supporting. Really you
- 30:29Speaker 4: want this guy? Uh, particularly the young people on the left.
- 30:33Speaker 4: I mean you want to you want to get you
- 30:35Speaker 4: want to be in bed with some guy who who
- 30:38Speaker 4: who hangs around the people who hate and persecute gays?
- 30:41Speaker 4: Is that Is that what the New Revolution is about?
- 30:44Speaker 4: I don't think so. So. I think the question is
- 30:48Speaker 4: can Mam Donnie survive what's probably going to be a
- 30:52Speaker 4: NonStop attack for the next month.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, Michael Goodwin, great stuff. You ever go read
- 30:57Speaker 1: his comments in Yesterday's New York Post. It's up on
