- 0:55a special episode. It's a two -part missions
- 0:58episode from Southeast Asia. We have two organizations
- 1:02that are going to be sharing special reports.
- 1:05The first will be Daryl Hosford from ASAP, and
- 1:08the second... will be Brent Scully from Gospel
- 1:11Outreach. So we are grateful to have you as our
- 1:14audience. We're going to start that program right
- 1:17now without any breaks. Please enjoy this first
- 1:20episode from Daryl Hosford, and then we'll be
- 1:23with Brent Scully. And we're beginning here with
- 1:25Daryl Hosford from ASAP Ministries doing incredible
- 1:28things in Southeast Asia. Daryl, I want to hear
- 1:32about the things that we can be supporting, whether
- 1:34it's through resources or through prayers or
- 1:36even through volunteering. I want to hear all
- 1:38of those things, the latest report from ASAP.
- 1:40But before we do so, as we begin the program,
- 1:43would you please pray for us? I'd be honored.
- 1:46Father God, thank you for being a God who's reached
- 1:49your life through your Son to this world. to
- 1:54provide salvation. And thank you for the honor
- 1:57of sharing that good news around the globe for
- 2:02every people, every people group, every tribe,
- 2:06every nation, every tongue. And Father, we pray
- 2:11that all of us together could be represented
- 2:14on that sea of glass, giving you honor and glory.
- 2:19To that end, we ask for your blessing on these
- 2:21few minutes that we have together. And we thank
- 2:23you in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Well, Darrell,
- 2:27the time is yours. Hit the road. Let's go. Well,
- 2:30you know, ASAP, some of your viewers may wonder,
- 2:34well, as soon as possible. You know, that's an
- 2:38interesting acronym. Our ministry began as Adventist
- 2:42Southeast Asia Projects. And from that, we have
- 2:47grown over the past 30 years to a... A ministry
- 2:52that focuses on meeting the practical needs of
- 2:56people. You say, well, how does that get then
- 3:00to the next step of, you know, sharing the gospel?
- 3:04But we find that when there's no commonality,
- 3:07when there's no connection with Christianity,
- 3:10you know, we serve in Buddhist countries. You
- 3:15can't say, well, let me tell you the latest truth
- 3:17I've discovered from the Bible. Right. Because
- 3:19there's no commonality. No context. No foundation.
- 3:22Yeah. They don't know about the first coming,
- 3:25much less be prepared for his second. That's
- 3:27right. So acts of mercy, acts of care are the
- 3:33first way to establish a relationship with a
- 3:36cross -cultural, cross -religion party. The old
- 3:43saying, people won't care about how much you
- 3:47know until they know how much you care. That's
- 3:50right. And so our ministry focuses on care, share,
- 3:55multiply. And I'm just giving the background.
- 3:58Sure. How do we approach ministry? Thank you
- 4:00for this. It's helpful. So caring. You know,
- 4:04we dig wells for a community. We establish community
- 4:08centers. We have medical missionaries who go
- 4:11and provide health care. And this is all under
- 4:14the umbrella of ASAP. That's right. Not necessarily
- 4:17another ministry, but you've got a global reach,
- 4:21a global training, a global strategic plan. That's
- 4:26right. Can I say that way? That's right. That's
- 4:27very true. And we want to share that plan that's
- 4:30working with other ministries across the 1040
- 4:34window and around the world. We focus on those
- 4:37five countries of Southeast Asia, the mainland
- 4:40Southeast Asia countries that are Buddhist countries.
- 4:43Tell me those again. So Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar,
- 4:46Laos, and Vietnam. Okay. Two of those countries
- 4:50are communist countries. One of those countries
- 4:55is in an active civil war. The other two countries
- 4:58lob shells at each other, Thailand and Cambodia.
- 5:01So it's a region of upheaval and repression and
- 5:07conflict. So we come in with care as our primary
- 5:11mode. Then we share the gospel. And finally,
- 5:16we look to multiply disciples. If a person is
- 5:20going to become a baptized Seventh -day Adventist
- 5:22Christian, We want them to be a sole winner for
- 5:26Christ. Amen. And carry that message forward.
- 5:29Yes. And expand and grow outward that margin.
- 5:35So exciting things that are happening. Okay.
- 5:38Yeah. Let's get right to it. So with that framework,
- 5:41we say, how can we train our people better? Sure.
- 5:43This year, we're starting in a partnership with
- 5:46Amazing Facts Ministry. And we have begun this
- 5:50month, AFCO Thailand. Let me pause you there.
- 5:54We're using some vernacular that Seventh -day
- 5:56Adventists will probably be familiar with, but
- 5:58not all of them. And many of our audience are
- 6:01Christians or not even Christians. So let me
- 6:04explain a few things. You mentioned the Amazing
- 6:06Facts Ministry. They're based in California.
- 6:09They do a lot of evangelism and some humanitarian
- 6:11work themselves. AFCO is Amazing Facts College
- 6:15of Evangelism, where they're training. is afco
- 6:19are you saying afco in the u .s or is there an
- 6:22afco there in southeast asia how does that connect
- 6:24so we've created a special training program for
- 6:28bible workers in thailand okay going through
- 6:32a similar curriculum okay so it's a partnership
- 6:34with amazing facts this other ministry that you
- 6:37mentioned and asap and it has to be similar but
- 6:41not the same because the cultural application
- 6:43of the gospel feels a little different exactly
- 6:46right the gospel doesn't change but the application
- 6:49of the gospel feels different when you have as
- 6:51you said you don't have people with a basic understanding
- 6:53that there is a god who loves them that's right
- 6:55there are gods or spirits spirits or It's complicated.
- 7:02We could have a whole program just talking about
- 7:05Buddhism. Yes. But in our few minutes that we
- 7:08have together, I'll not go into that. But Buddhism
- 7:11is not almost not a religion. It's developing
- 7:15the divine within you. It's not a higher power.
- 7:19Very self -centered. Making yourself God. We'll
- 7:22talk some other time about how to reach Buddhists.
- 7:25Okay. So you've got the AFCO training? AFCO training,
- 7:29brand new program, developing the local missionary
- 7:33to be soul winners for Christ. And we're excited
- 7:36about that. What else have we got? So we have
- 7:3873 mission schools. 73, spread across five countries.
- 7:43Spread across five countries. 8 ,000 students
- 7:46that we support. And some of those are boarding
- 7:50students because they... aren't able to go home
- 7:53because of the war and conflict in their region.
- 7:57And of those, we want to see them become, well,
- 8:02exposed to Christianity and to become soul winners
- 8:05themselves. Amen. So that's two things that are
- 8:08happening. What else can you share with us? Medical
- 8:11missionary work. All right. So this is a part
- 8:13of that care concept, that care. We have medical
- 8:19missionaries who are being trained to go out
- 8:21and give simple remedies. And in a place where
- 8:26there's health care in some of those countries,
- 8:28that's very good, but some other places, it's
- 8:31unattainable because of cost or because of conflict.
- 8:36And with a diet that's somewhat monotonous with
- 8:41rice, morning, noon, and night, and brown rice.
- 8:46which actually would metabolize a little slower
- 8:49and not have quite this sugar spike, is considered
- 8:52pig food. You don't serve that to your family
- 8:57or to guests. You only want white rice. And that
- 9:01actually has some health challenges for the people.
- 9:04They're missing nutritional content. Nutritional
- 9:07content and diabetes is rampant across Southeast
- 9:12Asia because they're not exercising like they
- 9:14used to. They're not doing as much manual labor.
- 9:18And the high sugar spike three times a day is
- 9:21just wrecking havoc. And probably cooking with
- 9:23more oil than they did and not as healthy oil
- 9:26as they did. So medical missionary work, the
- 9:29simple remedies of just good lifestyle is really
- 9:33helpful to share. As we often like to say, someone
- 9:36has written that health evangelism, helping people
- 9:41with the basic. lifestyle changes that can make
- 9:46life healthier and better than feel better. That's
- 9:49like the right arm of the gospel. I love that.
- 9:52And another quote from that same writer is the
- 9:57entering wedge, right? So we can use that, as
- 10:02you know, as you were iterating, that we can
- 10:05use that entering wedge to get to know people.
- 10:07Let me help you feel better. Let me help you
- 10:09live better. And as you come alongside them,
- 10:11they're like, something's different about you.
- 10:13Amen. Tell me about it. Amen. Do you find that
- 10:16effective in working in those societies? A very
- 10:18short story. When we were in a closed country,
- 10:21because I don't know the extent of your podcast
- 10:24or your program, I'll just say it's a closed
- 10:26communist country. It's global, so let's keep
- 10:28it safe. There was a mission trip happening in
- 10:31that closed country that was service -oriented.
- 10:36a health mission trip very simple uh remedies
- 10:40being shared a dentist was doing some dental
- 10:43care a neighboring chief a hundred kilometers
- 10:49away said we heard you were doing this mission
- 10:52this this health program and he says i know that
- 10:57you're religious We want your program in our
- 11:00village. In fact, if you could send a church
- 11:02planter, we will welcome them with open arms.
- 11:05Really? This is in a closed country. Wow. A closed
- 11:09communist country. That desire is that their
- 11:11people be living better. And that is that right
- 11:14arm, that entering wedge, where people there
- 11:17with no access to any health care says, if you're
- 11:20willing to share this, we're willing to listen
- 11:23to what else you have to share. Amen. As our
- 11:26time winds down, Daryl, I wonder if you could
- 11:28just share with folks how they can connect with
- 11:31ASAP Ministries and give us some reasons why
- 11:34we would connect. What are the connection points
- 11:37for ASAP? Great. I love that. And I would love
- 11:41to have all of you sign up to our free newsletter
- 11:44materials. That way you can see and experience
- 11:49these mission stories firsthand. Every week we
- 11:52send out a free email newsletter. If you like
- 11:55print material, we'll send that to you as well.
- 11:57I want to pause there. One of the things I like
- 11:59about your ministry is if I call it, I get a
- 12:01real person. Yes. And if you happen to be in
- 12:04the country and I say, I'd like to talk to Daryl,
- 12:06there's a good chance that you'd be available
- 12:07and talk with me. I'd love to. Your ministry
- 12:09is not so large. that you don't get a personal
- 12:14connection. So I just wanted to say that as a
- 12:16blessing of ASAP. You really feel like you can
- 12:19connect with the ministry and learn things, ask
- 12:22questions, be a support, be praying, etc. You
- 12:25mentioned the newsletter. That prayer support
- 12:28is what we really need. If you can sign up to
- 12:31our materials, we'll send it to you free, and
- 12:33you can become a prayer partner. I think prayer
- 12:36is maybe what you could do best, what we need
- 12:39the most. In a region that is so, so needing
- 12:44of God's spirit. Amen. Sponsoring a student.
- 12:49Of those 8 ,000 students, $30 a month can feed
- 12:55a boarding student and put them through school.
- 12:58Amen. $30 a month. That's less than a buck a
- 13:02day. Yeah. And we will send you the picture of
- 13:06your student, give you an update. We try to give
- 13:08updates quarterly. If I go and visit that school,
- 13:12I will send you a video with me and your student
- 13:14straight to your box, one -on -one. So that's
- 13:18our desire is to have you feel connected, that
- 13:22you're actually making a difference in this young
- 13:24person's life. Amen. Okay, so we've talked about
- 13:27points of contact, but let's talk about the actual
- 13:29how do we contact. Ah, good. ASAPministries .org.
- 13:34That's A -S -A -P ministries. And we can also
- 13:40add that to the bio so people can find it there.
- 13:43Great. You have social media points? We do. We
- 13:46have a YouTube account that you can search ASAP
- 13:49Ministries. Okay. That'll bring up all of our...
- 13:52Lots of media content there. Lots of media. Great.
- 13:55We're on the other social media platforms. Instagram,
- 13:58Facebook. Yeah, you can just search ASAP. Probably
- 13:59many of the same media contacts. But if people
- 14:02were going there, would you recommend the first
- 14:04stop be YouTube or Facebook? If you like media...
- 14:08That's just pure videos, and we put them out
- 14:11every week. So what about your newsletters? Are
- 14:12those available in reader form there at Facebook,
- 14:15or do you have some of it available? Perhaps.
- 14:19We send a lot of those via email direct to subscribers.
- 14:23Okay. Lots of ways to connect. I know it's old
- 14:26school, but throw in the phone number just for
- 14:28the fun of it. Sure. Let me give you that number.
- 14:30It's 269 -471 - 3026. All right, very good. And
- 14:36Daryl, as we close, I just want to share a quote,
- 14:39and I know you'll have a comment about it. Christ's
- 14:42method alone will give true success in reaching
- 14:45the people. We talked about the method you're
- 14:47using. Let's see if it measures up. The Savior
- 14:50mingled with men as one who desired their good.
- 14:52We talked about that, didn't we? He showed his
- 14:55sympathy for them. We've talked about that. He
- 14:59ministered to their needs. Yes. This is what
- 15:02ASAP Ministries is doing. And he won their confidence.
- 15:06That's right. And that's absolutely happening
- 15:07with not only the Bible workers, but you and
- 15:10other teams that go and visit in these countries
- 15:12and go and provide support to the Bible workers
- 15:14and provide direct connection to the people.
- 15:18So then what happened? He bid them, follow me.
- 15:22Amen. Don't you want to hear the voice of Jesus
- 15:24say, follow me? Amen. And it's beautiful to see
- 15:28baptisms and people give their heart to Jesus
- 15:31because of that formula. And it really works.
- 15:35Darrell, ASAP Ministries, Darrell Hosford, thank
- 15:38you so much for your time today. Thank you. God
- 15:40bless. We hope you're enjoying this special episode
- 15:43from Mission Sunlight Chat. Hearing from these
- 15:45two ministries, we're going to go from that one
- 15:47to the next one. Here we go. Brett Scully from
- 15:50Gospel Outreach. Thank you for joining me for
- 15:52this special report from Gospel Outreach. Tell
- 15:55us what's happening today. Well, Christopher,
- 15:58thanks for having me. It's always a pleasure
- 16:00coming on and talking about the great things
- 16:02that happen in gospel outreach. You know, the
- 16:07world and the political climate is changing in
- 16:09other countries quite dramatically. Places like
- 16:12India, we're finding that we're getting letters
- 16:17from the inside people. saying that the non -conversion
- 16:22laws are becoming much more strict. In 13 states
- 16:25now, they're clamping down on evangelism, proselytizing,
- 16:29and so it's becoming more difficult to share
- 16:32the gospel. But the good news is that when things
- 16:35are tightened up in the political world, that
- 16:38means that the gospel just takes off. Are you
- 16:44saying that people are more hungry? People are
- 16:46more hungry. Like in Iran. We're starting work
- 16:52in Pakistan. We got a $50 ,000 grant from ASI
- 16:56while we're here for starting work in Pakistan.
- 17:00And this is something that we as an office have
- 17:02been praying for for several years to try to
- 17:04pull together. And it's like as soon as we get
- 17:07this grant approved, all of a sudden doors are
- 17:11opening up for the regional director for Pakistan.
- 17:15people on the inside and the in the mission that
- 17:17are already cooperating they got things and people
- 17:19in place all ready to start work so we can see
- 17:22the holy spirit moving already and plowing the
- 17:25fields before us as we come in and pick up pieces
- 17:28from behind wow so When I hear you saying that
- 17:33people are hungry, I want to be clear because
- 17:36we do have an audience that is not necessarily
- 17:38Seventh -day Adventist or even Christian. That
- 17:41understanding of what hunger is might be a little
- 17:43unclear. They're hungry for the gospel. They're
- 17:45hungry for the love that Jesus offers them in
- 17:48his word. Well, they may not be able to identify
- 17:52those things, but they're hungry. It's like when
- 17:56I go to India. There is a look of oppression
- 17:59on people's faces. It's a very, very Hindu -dominant
- 18:03country. I think 75 % is Hinduism. But their
- 18:10gods are just idols, and they don't offer anything.
- 18:14And they're just, they have to live under oppression.
- 18:18Their faces express what's going on inside of
- 18:22them. Their stone -cold look, their eyes look
- 18:26almost glazed over. But yet when you talk to
- 18:32people about the hope of something better in
- 18:36this life, the hope of Jesus, the hope of salvation,
- 18:40the hope of cleansing of sin, they actually get
- 18:44excited and they're like, tell me more. Tell
- 18:47me more. You know, when we do some week of prayer
- 18:51with students at the schools there, these kids
- 18:55are really privy on not, they don't have much.
- 18:59So they know what it's like to have need. And
- 19:03so when you come with something like hope, it
- 19:08encourages them. They feel happy. They feel like,
- 19:12tell us more. And when you tell them more, they
- 19:16want more. It's like when you're having a conversion
- 19:20experience, you just can't get enough of the
- 19:23word. Amen. You're learning something completely
- 19:27new that is actually filling this incredible
- 19:30void and space inside you. So I want to ask two
- 19:33questions. The first one is, I hear you talking
- 19:38about schools. One would think that they're in
- 19:41the captive audience. You're talking to a captive
- 19:44audience. You're talking to youth that are kind
- 19:50of getting that slow digestion, continuing the
- 19:54story of Jesus in their life through the school,
- 19:57through the mechanics of day -to -day in school.
- 20:00And you also talk about new work where you're
- 20:04reaching people on the street through Bible workers
- 20:06and other people. Do you find that the circumstance
- 20:12is different in the school learning and interest
- 20:16versus maybe the family or the adult out in the
- 20:21public sector? Is their hunger or their craving
- 20:25or their desire any different, or is it all very
- 20:30similar? I guess I'm not sure I'm even understanding
- 20:34how I'm asking this, but I'm just wondering if
- 20:36the cultural response is different. I can probably
- 20:40answer this by sharing with the audience. One
- 20:43of our projects that we support is Sunshine Orchard
- 20:47School. We had talked with Ana, who is the, I
- 20:51think she's one of the administrators of the
- 20:56school. And this school is right on the border
- 20:59of Myanmar. Thailand and these Myanmar refugees
- 21:03are coming down out of the mountain villages.
- 21:06They're being pushed down and the kids come down
- 21:09to school and we're supporting teachers. I think
- 21:14up to 50 teachers there in the school, gospel
- 21:16outreaches. And because we specifically support
- 21:20gospel outreach workers, people wonder, well,
- 21:23why are you supporting teachers? Well, you can't
- 21:26get Bible workers into these schools. So what
- 21:28we're doing is we're hiring teachers who are
- 21:30teaching the Bible to these students. And so
- 21:32every morning when these kids come to school,
- 21:36they have a devotion, they have prayer, they
- 21:38have worship, they're singing, they're praising
- 21:40the Lord. worshiping together. And they're hearing
- 21:44the word, God's word. And what's happening is
- 21:48they're learning these things and then taking
- 21:51them back home when they go back to the villages.
- 21:54And it's changing their families. These kids
- 22:01are finding hope and they're taking it back home
- 22:04and sharing their testimonies. That's an amazing...
- 22:10business model, don't you think? Amen. And you
- 22:13know, I've seen it work around the world. It
- 22:14isn't just in these countries you've described.
- 22:16We have children who will attend Christian Seventh
- 22:20-day Adventist schools who will take the joy
- 22:22of Jesus they found in school, take it home and
- 22:24say, Mom and Dad, I learned to pray. I want to
- 22:26pray with you. I learned this in the Bible. I
- 22:28want to share it with you. Because it's excited
- 22:30them. And often, not always, but very often,
- 22:34it incites a fire in... one or both of the parents
- 22:38in the home that they want to know who this Jesus
- 22:41is that's changed their kid's attitude. I'm seeing
- 22:44an excitement in younger people for missions.
- 22:48Amen. I don't know if you've seen that, Christopher,
- 22:50but it's really encouraging because, you know...
- 22:53Is it there's something in Malachi about our
- 22:55youth? Yeah, there is. And it seems to me that,
- 22:59you know, we in the older generation, we kind
- 23:01of get stuck a little bit. And maybe it's because
- 23:06we're routine -driven a little bit. You know,
- 23:10we like doing routines, doing the same thing.
- 23:12But young people bring an energy and a creativity
- 23:17that we don't have. You know, at Gospel Outreach
- 23:20this last year, Dr. Stephen Pilgrim brought his
- 23:24business class in through Gospel Outreach to
- 23:26do projects for us. There were, I think, in all
- 23:30six classes. throughout the school year. And
- 23:34they did projects for us. But man, I tell you.
- 23:38I get so inspired by when these young people
- 23:41come in and get excited about missions and they're
- 23:43talking to their classmates and telling them,
- 23:45hey, this project we did for Gospel Outreach
- 23:48was life -changing for me. I didn't know Gospel
- 23:51Outreach existed. I didn't know that our church
- 23:54was so involved with missions. I didn't realize
- 23:57that our church did stuff like this. And there
- 24:00were non -Admettist kids who were actually so
- 24:06inspired. to be involved with some sort of mission
- 24:10work with Gospel Outreach. And in fact, they're
- 24:14so inspired. They want to stay through the summer
- 24:16and do internships with us just because they
- 24:18love what they love, what we're doing. And and
- 24:22that's that's amazing. Amen. You know, just it's
- 24:26encouraging to inspiring to have young people
- 24:29kind of at the forefront now leading the way
- 24:32in missions. I want to take us down a path you
- 24:35hinted at earlier. And I realize because of the
- 24:38culture, you may not be able to say a lot, but
- 24:42you mentioned the grant coming from ASI this
- 24:46year, 2026, as we record this. Can you tell us
- 24:50any more about how that's going to work, the
- 24:52end run purpose? Well, the end run is simple,
- 24:57and that is use indigenous native Bible workers
- 25:02in Pakistan. to deliver the gospel to their own
- 25:07people. And what we do is we work through the
- 25:13church, the mission, the Seventh -day Adventist
- 25:15mission in the country, who finds and establishes
- 25:20the Bible workers and then Gospel Outreach will
- 25:22support and give the funds through the mission.
- 25:25Then they will deliver it to the Bible workers.
- 25:27But the mission will, they'll train once a month.
- 25:34Give them the tools to go out and minister to
- 25:37the community. So they'll supervise. They'll
- 25:41report back to our office. And then we'll establish
- 25:45a regional director that will be over that region.
- 25:49Okay. And then they will be the liaison between
- 25:51them and us. So a very practical, gospel -centered
- 25:55effort. by Gospel Outreach to have those individuals
- 26:01placed. They're indigenous, as you said. That
- 26:03means they're Pakistani. That's right. So you
- 26:07said you're going to have a director there eventually.
- 26:10So you're depending on connecting with the local
- 26:13mission, the local church there, to provide that
- 26:16training. Is that director that eventually will
- 26:19come directly from Gospel Outreach, is there,
- 26:23I don't know how quite to word this, I don't
- 26:25want to sound... accusing anybody in Pakistan
- 26:28of anything, but is there any danger or any complication
- 26:30to someone going over there? Well, I think there
- 26:35probably is to some extent, and to be honest,
- 26:39I'm not exactly sure what extent that is. We
- 26:41know in other countries that we work underground,
- 26:46that it's so dangerous we don't have names of
- 26:49our Bible workers, they're just numbers. And
- 26:52so... With Pakistan, we already have a regional
- 26:56director already lined out. So God's already
- 27:00worked that issue out. So that's how we're doing
- 27:06work in Pakistan. And I want to thank ASI again
- 27:09for the $50 ,000 grant that they've given us.
- 27:12That's pretty impressive and pretty important.
- 27:15That's a big blessing for us. So as we wrap up
- 27:19our segment here, tell me what... what you want
- 27:23to tell folks about connecting with Gospel Outreach.
- 27:25What do you want them to hear or know about this
- 27:28report specifically? Gospel Outreach is one of
- 27:32the largest self -supporting ministries our church
- 27:35has for supporting Bible work. We are in 50 -plus
- 27:40countries. and we're supporting close to 2 ,400
- 27:44Bible workers. If you want to get involved with
- 27:47supporting Gospel Outreach, go to our website
- 27:49at www .goaim .org, and you can support us on
- 27:55our donation page. You can pray for us. You can
- 27:58receive our newsletter. You can sign up for our
- 28:00newsletter, and you'll get monthly stories and
- 28:03kind of the news of what's going on with Gospel
- 28:05Outreach. But most of all, pray for Gospel Outreach.
- 28:08Pray for our Bible workers. You can also volunteer
- 28:11if you've got skills and talents that we need
- 28:14at Gospel Outreach. We're also taking volunteers
- 28:17as well. You're taking volunteers. What does
- 28:20that mean just in a nutshell, 30 -second elevator
- 28:22speech? What does it mean to be a volunteer with
- 28:24Gospel Outreach? Well, it depends. You can be
- 28:26an accountant. You can be, if you've got some
- 28:29legal experience like an attorney, where we can
- 28:33lean on you for some legal advice. You can be
- 28:36an ambassador. You can represent Gospel Outreach
- 28:38in your local church. We'll send you quarterly
- 28:41reports, pictures, videos that you can show in
- 28:46front of everybody to inspire people to solicit.
- 28:51people to be involved with missions with Gospel
- 28:53Outreach. And from a coordinator standpoint,
- 28:57I know you mentioned country directors, and I
- 29:00know that in at least one place you have a chapter
- 29:02leader. I'm not sure I understand all the structure,
- 29:04but just the few things I picked up. Explain
- 29:06a little bit if someone is more interested in
- 29:08the... can I say pastoral or administrative aspect
- 29:12of an area? Well, I would say that we have chapters.
- 29:17We have a southern chapter led by Ed Wright.
- 29:20And if you want to be involved in leading out
- 29:24or coordinating a chapter in one of our unions,
- 29:29we would be glad to talk to you. You can coordinate
- 29:32rallies. We have the Malashenko family who will
- 29:35come and do rally concerts. We can coordinate
- 29:38benefit dinners. um inspiring uh bringing bringing
- 29:42our directors who have um on the boots ground
- 29:46stories for you know for our people okay and
- 29:49a country director and a country director they
- 29:52travel and do training on boots on the ground
- 29:54in the countries yeah we call them regional directors
- 29:56regional directors okay all right And we partner
- 30:00with Ultimate Mission as well, who trains our
- 30:03Bible workers' wives in the health ministry.
- 30:05So we partner with other organizations where
- 30:08we feel that partnering with them would really
- 30:10enhance both of our ministries. And I don't know
- 30:13if Ultimate Mission's podcast will be out, but
- 30:15eventually, if it's not out already, people can
- 30:17search for Ultimate Mission, Jim Reynolds' conversation
- 30:20that we had here on Mission Sunlight during this
- 30:23same convention time. But dates don't always
- 30:25line up, of course. Brent, thank you so much
- 30:29for coming on. Thank you for joining us for this
- 30:31special episode of Mission Sunlight Chat from
- 30:34ASAP and Gospel Outreach. Happy to hear those
- 30:37updated reports from our friends in those ministries
- 30:39as we are here attending the 2026 ASI North American
- 30:43Division Convention in Phoenix, Arizona. It is
- 30:46hot outside, but warm in our hearts, and we have
- 30:49been thankful to have you along. Thank you so
- 30:51much for being a part of our audience. Please
- 30:52continue to pray for us and know that we are
- 30:55praying for you. That's our program. This is
- 30:59Mission Sunlight Chat.
