- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't mean we're not going to be talking about somebody who is or watching somebody who is eventually going to be a Bronco as well.

- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you got, that's it.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's an impressive beard.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: It would make an Amishman blush.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm very, yeah, thank you so much.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: Could to see God, I'm just grab that puppy's fluff.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: Does it, okay, I got to ask, is he, are you canal training or is he in the bed with you?
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: He, he's in my son's bedroom on a doggy bed.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: Can't get up.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: He stays.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: right now is beds a little bit too high for that.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: So are there dogs stays with my daughter.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of nights, major would try to get into her room.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so you just hear this dog ramming her door.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't quite latch so she's been put in 80 pounds of weights in front of it on my gosh, and he would still get in to her room with 80 pounds of weights in front of it.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to be a beast right now.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's thankfully we just got through potty training.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you did.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: And that's been nice to not have to clean up all those things.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: You are the dog.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: But now we're working on the whole tubing everything in sight, think.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's 24 months, man.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he gets in trouble a lot for that.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: He, what did he true up the other day?
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: We came home from the movies and he got a whole of an entire clean Xbox, oh my God.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: So that was a fun mess.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: He tore out my daughters, mattress pad that she had.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: So that was everywhere.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's been quite the adventure with them, man.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: Some it's pretty good about that now, but definitely a tour.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: A little of loss of raptors, then, well that was great.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: I know people are here not exactly for the, the dog paws.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: And they're talking about the other hair.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: They're Carl's beard, of course, folks.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: But want to say hello to everybody.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get a back on football.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: And Billy M. B. L. E. X.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Test Prep.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, says I'm here to party.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: as always.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: We got Papa Bear coming in said good evening Broncos country.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go bow.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for the $2 super chat kicking us off here.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: Before the show even started, just an investment in the product.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully we don't let you down.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: We got Shiloh in the house too.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's a good evening MHH fam classic Midwest fast fashion.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: Went from 80 or went from slushy snow warnings to 80 and human in four days.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: Now, now, now, now, now my shirt stayed dry through the whole workday.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I do not necessarily, I mean, I miss some things about the Midwest, but the heat of in the humidity the summer, I mean, when you tell somebody from like the west coast about the existence of corn sweat as a thing and like you can see the humidity from the crops on satellite images because it's just so and it adds like 20% humidity and like yeah, five 10 degrees I mean it's.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: It could be frickin miserable and then you got the other end of the winter as well.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't build good people and you have to have good relationships and that kind of a weather and ecosystem.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I do not, I don't miss it.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say that.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: There's those days.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: We had last summer that the youth group and I go on on a mission strip.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: We went to Kentucky and it was hot, humid.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: The house we're working on was surrounded by trees on
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, there was just no air to breathe.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: It just, I don't know, I'm surprised we didn't have kids pass now or something.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: They did good.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they drank a lot of water.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: I made sure of that.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it was ruthless out there.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: And we got, shy also saying the idea of the port it gets me more excited than I described in a PG man.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, all right, keep it in your pants.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: But don't think we're going to afford to keep them long term.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: Please correct me in my dreams if I'm wrong.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Money is not really necessarily an issue.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: Now you will lose some flexibility in the future and it probably means goodbye to some players as well, but I think if a chance to add talent, Denver is not cash strapped at all and they would be able to manipulate the cap now when you bring in somebody like a reporter who's probably on the image of the show.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here to talk with Chad earlier, but you have to,
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: probably talk with this agent and have an agreed upon contract and principal.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you trade for that guy without already having a contract on the heels of that move.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: And that kind of maybe can be a sticking point, especially because he had some injuries my season.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: You never know what those guys, but yeah, I you don't think you lose some flexibility, but if you'd like him enough to trade for him out of magic and you like him enough to extend him and you would afford to keep him losing flexibility.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: But that's just.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: the what the winners curse it is and I mean I I am just a little bit nervous on a couple things yes the Broncos have the richest owners in the NFL but they have also put a ton of money out into a bunch of things lately you think they just bought 40% of the Rockies they just built the new training facility they they they're working on the new stadium so I'm
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: hundreds of millions to billions of dollars going out of their pockets for these different projects.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now they can afford it and they can still afford to go out there and pay for these players and things like that.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not too worried about it.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: But there might be a couple times where they're kind of going, okay, let's not get too crazy here, Sean Payton.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Let's not get all these four years going in some of these contracts and setting this up for some people.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: Which honestly, it's a good thing too.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to just, hey, we're all in on 2026, 2027 kind of season, and we're not going to worry about 2028, 2029, and beyond.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you got to be thinking for the now and from now on.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: Eric and I talked about that a lot last week's show.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: with a few of the players and some picks that we're looking at.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: And you're right, Laporta, if you're citing him, it probably does mean maybe Marvin Mimps isn't part of your future now.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: Where I know the Broncos have been talking to him, trying to figure out maybe a contract extension or now you're going, okay, we're putting that money towards Laporta because we think he'll be a bigger part of our future than Marvin Mimps will be.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: You're talking about McLean GE, Bulls, Sutton, like that crop of guys chopping block DJ Jones.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just this is what it is.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: I will I'll push back a little bit Carl.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think when you're operating in the wealth that you're talking about that the Walton Penner group has,
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: The way they have money is different operationally than how you and I will ever sniff or touch as if like they get loans from the bank based off their equity and they can just keep spinning that wheel over and over again.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think I mean if things crash obviously there is a finite amount eventually, but I think that they have enough value that they can just continuously go back and get more and then that we'll keep spinning and thought I mean.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: of how for bankruptcy, oh, oh, okay.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: We see other people file for bankruptcy many times and they're doing fine.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: So, again, I don't think it's necessarily a problem when you're operating as the Walton Paners do when they have as many assets and equity as they have.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think, and also let's be, I mean, you talked about the new stadium, obviously they're gonna make a lot of money off that, talk about more equity, barring off of that collateral.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: There's probably much smarter finance people
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: very abstract vague explanation or portrayal there, but if you talk about the Rockies and everything, the Broncos of the Golden Goose for that group as far as finances go and they'd be great if they had good baseball team, you know, there's money to be made there, but they'll
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: If they like Sam Porter, I don't imagine anything being a limit from his team's finances from the warm-panner group, as opposed to just the reality of a salary cap, which even them, then is malleable.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I'm with you, and it's why when Bonax comes up for his long-term contract, it wouldn't surprise me if he signs one of the longer long-term contracts.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: where kind of like Mahomes did where he signed the 10-year contract, I don't think it will be that long.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: But it wouldn't surprise me if they said, hey, let's go for a six-year contract with him.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: and allows us a lot more flexibility with this contract, where he's getting a lot of guarantees and can feel good about it, but we can also probably have him on a little bit cheaper quarterback contract because he's got longevity of it all.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: And so I could see that where they say, hey, let's do that so we can have a lot more flexibility and moving forward and I think also it just, so much depends on Sean Peyton too.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_01]: How many more years the coaching does he really have left in him?
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'd said it over under five and a half.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: But that's also like, I'm baking in there.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: Things I go in while in them moving on from him.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, that's like the players' totals from ESPN every year.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh my God, why is that less?
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if he gets a knee injury week three, he's under, you know?
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, so it's like Sean Peyton.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: I could coach for another decade.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_02]: But we have to see how we go, you know, three years from now could look a lot different than where we sit right now.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: So five and a half, probably a save number.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's probably pretty good.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'd probably take the under, honestly.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I think one, the Broncos apps have some young coaches that they really like and it's gonna be hard to keep some of them and there might be some pressure.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: of Haitian patented maybe retire or go to more of a president of football operations.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: That kind of thing.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so you're still around.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're still a very big part of this and all that, but you're you're not the head coach.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: And so I can see some of that.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: Some of it with, you know, his family with he has some health issues as well that had popped up in the past.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so I just think some of that, I don't know, I just have this feeling that he's not here for the 10 years, I think it's more likely he's here for three or four years compared to 10 years, but I mean, hey, you never know a champagne he loves this game that much it would be really hard for him to walk away.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: especially when you're winning and have the the Walton Piner finances helping you out as well.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see William in here as well.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Sam reported mid west guy must be from Illinois.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think Sam reported was an Illinois kid.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: Go hawk somewhere.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: Where are my hawk guys right now?
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: Of course.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: I go around Kia, good to see us a good evening, Nick and Carl.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm building Broncos, go Broncos, we've got David, young Ken coming into, even everyone out staying going to bed, smart man.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: I read something a couple weeks ago, Carl, and it's stuck with me ever since, but I know it's not true, but it helps kind of frame your perspective.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: But for every hour of sleep, you get before midnight, it's worth two after.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: So like you try to get to bed, you know, nine 10 o'clock.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to be feeling much more surprise because that that alarm clock comes every day.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I've been trying to kind of clock and then just reading from the reading some climbing hiking books for the summer time.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: Timber Luke says only two more Tuesdays until the draft can we get a Nick and Carl mock draft.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: We will certainly do want to say a little more folks in here coming in.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: We got one slow queue 50 saying we're going for Hane.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_02]: That would be very fun.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think a lot of the winds are blowing more towards tight end options, but running back is on the table.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get into that here in a second.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: We got Ernie Mays in the house good to see a see pearls in here too.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: A new corgi puppy coming home.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get up to send a picture to eat Twitter or something.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: about as cute as it gets.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's unbelievable.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: There shouldn't even exist.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: So cute.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Dermaine coming in here says, A.O.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: sub-fellas go Broncos, great to see a winweeps react.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: Also wants Devon Hain.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I wanted Hain.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: I know I was kind of against him at first, but I've seen him run more, and I think it was the Sean Peyton draft.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: First Sean Peyton draft as well.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: I was really hoping that would be an option.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: Was that the draft where we took Drew Sanders was at the draft before I cannot recall exactly which one it was I know I think you had a chance to take them with that Drew Sanders pick.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think the real one that probably would have been valued have been took her craft I think you had a chance at there too, but.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: that I guess, HM, would be awesome, we'll get in at here in a second.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: I know I want to say a little film, a glove on, good evening.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: There's been any new, I'm getting George Signo's contract.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like it'll happen when it happens, but we're not exactly worried about that, but I would have imagined sometime this summer.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't see this yet.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really sorry to hesitate on addressing Diana Hendry here at the $50 super chat.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: saying, I hope when we target David and Joku and draft, I'm hoping for Jacob Rodriguez, hope everyone has agreed, even if it's much better now from a $50 for a consumer jet.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Dan.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, and Joku's still out there, I'd imagine he's going to a team after the draft.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: talking about a player that's lasted this long and that cycle kind of speaks to the pedigree or not the pedigree, but the reputation of that player at this point, right?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: Not that he's bad necessarily, but you're talking to your two free agent and given his age, some of the injury stuff.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: you know, you could definitely bring him in and he would help the room.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think the door probably closed there a little bit with Adam Troutman signing.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like I, I would rather have had Andrew Kubo, but you're kind of like, probably a little redundant redundant, redundant in that skill set.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: And you, are you took away some of the money pie in the roster building, bring it back Troutman.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Peyton loves Adam Trottman, calling Dragon player 69 or whatever, but I'm not obviously a huge fan, but he knows the offense and they seem to like him in the building and you know, he's your tight end too, as long as you have infrastructure around him, you can't do worse, but he's kind of a, the zero wins above replacement kind of player.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and Rodriguez, I doubt he falls to 62,
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: You never, I think this is it is.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, just depending on what people are looking for, I think he would be great.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, everything I've read on him, very smart guy, very good instincts, knows what he's doing on the field, turn over machine, something the Broncos desperately need out of that defense.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: I, you need a really good run stopper next to him.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's he's he's he's he's fine in the run game.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: He just not the guy that's going to be shooting the gap making the play in the back field.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: He's not necessarily a thumper.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's not necessarily a blitzer.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you're kind of looking for.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: I always tried to use this with Scott and some of the chat probably doesn't follow me on this path.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you will like Pokemon like let's say he is.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even remember half the Pokemon anymore.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: If Josie Jewel is Bulbasaur, Jacob Rodriguez is probably Ivesaur, right?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_02]: So like just like one evolutionary step up, like a little smaller player, shorter arms.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a little bit more athletic than Josie and a little bit better ball schools, but Josie was a maniac in college and had a pretty good NFL career for wasn't for the injuries.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're probably talking about I think 62 is in play.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: I would imagine his range of anywhere from 51 anywhere to 73, the detailed position.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: The turnovers are big, but are they necessarily predictive from the college level of the NFL, especially big to all of in a very different game for the linebacker position that is.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he's very much in play.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I did look about 2023 draft is when Adrian went Broncos traded up right before the Dolphins, right before the Moss, yeah, but they could have, right, moss is the same draft as Sanders.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so yeah, they could have taken them instead of Sanders there, but the real one would have been Tucker craft.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, let's be real.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think the Moss was a bad Moss was not a miss on at this point and then third round.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: Good pick, for what he's been.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see Dermaine coming in here.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you always say hello to you.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Victor says, please let the Laporta rumors be true.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: There's smoke, there's smoke right.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: Osborne says, Nick and Carl, nice to see you.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean it, what I went through, well, good to hear from you, Roy.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: I hope you're staying healthy, hope you're liking the new whip.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, appreciate you.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: The child was his agent to be a bad target.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: We'd have to trade for him, minimal capital.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: And we'd have to pay him as his injury prone as Dobbins.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't looked at his injury history necessarily, but man, he is a dynamic explosive playmaker.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm curious to see what his market would be.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I wish, I said I don't Twitter at the time, but it'd been fun if we could have just packaged him with water at the time and, you know, what more than to say we're sending the second back and you don't get a fourth and you keep your third.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: Something to make that value come through here, but he's really dynamic player.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: I do think he has a little bit of overlap with Harvey Blake.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: Hain has like proven,
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: NFL, breakaway speed, where Harvey, you haven't necessarily seen that translate, open-field, where HN is like super dynamic.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: So again, I get it with, if you get it for Pick 6 to 2, I'm not saying it 11.5 million a year, I'm interested, but again, I'd be curious to see what the market is.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: And he's missed seven games in three years.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's had some nagging injuries that are kind of in and out of the roster depending on on the week.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I definitely get it that there's there's some of that and with smaller guys.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to get dinged up and when they depend on their speed, even the even a smaller injury can really derail what they bring to the field.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: And that's funny.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: In general, right, right, yeah, they just they get banged up a wonder a little bit.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: If you did trade for a chain, if argue would be a part of that deal, or like downstream effect, you know, you bring in one and then you flip the other one to a different team.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: Roger, remember how much the jacks wanted him?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll get into the whole lot of draft picks right now after trading up last year.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like you said, there's a little bit of overlap there between what you would want from those two guys and you'd probably rather have a train on the field than you would Harvey, so it kind of feels like not a wasted pick.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he could still be useful.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: And you could still find some kind of role format and then you could take that third running back and and do a little bit of what the day did last year.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he wasn't proving as a past blocker as the season went on.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: And so maybe you start trying to figure out a way to get him involved that way, but it just feels like now I'll send you said that second round pick.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for last year, but
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: done with you if you're if you're bringing in a chain and so it's it's probably not the move that I would make if I'm making a trade right now I'm looking for a position that I don't feel like I have a quality starter right now JK Dobbins is a quality starter at the running back position when healthy when healthy at big old pastrics on that one I know it is a very big asterisk but at least you have a quality starter tight in like you said earlier trout men at best is a neutral
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: at best.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: And so if we're talking to guy like San Laporta or couple of these other titans, we might mention here.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now I get they play a little bit different than what Troutman will you be asking him to do.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: But still, that would be a big bump up in that Titan room compared to, I mean, adding a chain is a big bump for the running background.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get me wrong.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just like I said, you've already got a quality starter in that room, a backup that you can feel pretty good about right now.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was a touchdown machine.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: He was great in the past in game.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, Harvey, as bad as he was in the run game, he was a plus player in the past game.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I, I hear you.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: I, I'm greedy.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: I guess, and with the injury history of
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: Jika Dobbins, I just, you know, I don't trust him.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: So if we had him in there, if it's redundant to his what it is, the one thing about training for a running back is that because you do have Dobbins and it's still risky, but you can slow play it a little bit too, where you don't have to make the move for the running back right now.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't necessarily have to be taking one in the draft.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: You have the time period from the start of the season to the trade deadline as well.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: And circumstances change.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: maybe Harvey emerges and is a competent, you know, equal to Dobbins as a runner, you're too.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Dobbins is hurting, you're really forced to make a move.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: So again, running back, I think if you like the guy and the opportunity presents itself, you can go spend that money.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: But if not, you know, that's something that you're rolling the dice a little bit with that,
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: a factor.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: I guess for the Broncos in that, and if you guys want to maximize your dollar as well, you got to check out our friends over at Shopify.

- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say a little folks in the chat.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: We got Jordan Lewis in here.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: He says evening everyone.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you coming in and saying hello.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate you, Brad says, I think the price is definitely something to look at before talking about A-chain.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: Other running backs as well, I mean the other one who obviously
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: Makes sense for the Broncos is Bree's Hall.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the Jets did a lot of their offseason based on the Broncos attraction to Bree's Hall alleged attraction to Bree's Hall.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: And that might have changed the course for things with the Broncos.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it changed what kind of pick, tagly used on him.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: Denver was certainly interested.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I think if he hit the market and they signed him and bring him in, I granted, maybe the chiefs, go after him, maybe it changes the kind of Walker market
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: ATN, however, you want to pronounce his name, of going from the Jags to New Orleans, who knows, but that's the butterfly effect, right?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: No, just the right thing to use everything changes down stream.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: But certainly, I think Breeze Hall is somebody to keep an eye out for.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: I still come back to the thought, though, that you're not really in a rush to do that.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: You have until the trade deadline to kind of slow play that.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, if you was available, I don't
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: They've got my dobbins was number one priority.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think we can smell if you could speak with when it's put out there.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the fact that they tagged him though, just to make sure that he couldn't get signed by another team, now maybe it was because they wanted draft pick instead of at least instead of letting him go for nothing, but I do think that was a sign of, hey, we do view him as a guy is young, he's talented.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: Whenever we do decide to draft a quarterback, it's great to have a strong running back and they have a wider receiver, decent offensive line.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: So there's at least some kind of structure around that quarterback to be successful.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I will give them that.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: If that's what they do, it's better than whatever they did with Sam Darnl's.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: Or they pretty much said, hey, we're not gonna give you an offensive line or running back or any kind of weapons.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Good luck out there.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: And we're gonna give you one of the worst coaches in the NFL.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: and then we're gonna blame you when everything falls apart.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it really was one of the worst situations for a quarterback to walk into.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so they could have that structure around.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: And there's no talent in brief all we'll wanna sign there long term.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, maybe you don't need to get as one.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so I do think it might be difficult for them to hold on to them.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: And so then at that point, maybe they are coming back and saying, okay, Broncos, if you're willing to give up pick 62, come get him.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: And because I know what that franchise tag is, it's supposed to be a first round pick, but you can negotiate technically.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't have to be a first round pick to make that work, if I remember right.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: So, Brock has can still make that one work.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that's a lot of money in the running back room when you talk about Dobbins and Bree's Hall, and I'm just not sure I'd quite go that direction.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, I feel like running back, as you said earlier, you can go later
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: If things are falling apart, or JK Dobbins gets hurt, hopefully it's not a week after the trade deadline like last year, leaving us going, oh crap, we're in troubleship.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this game we played.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so hopefully it's not that kind of case.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: If you're gonna be hurt, get hurt early for us.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it's the way to do it.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: And also, the Broncos can go into this draft and say, hey, if we have a running back, we like Falls to us, then we don't have to worry about that kind of thing.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: If they like Jonah Coleman as I've seen a few people in the and the chat mentioning as a guy for the Broncos he makes a lot of sense as kind of a do it all all around right back not great at anything but good at everything and I mean there's a few other names out there.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Broncos have to rush in that position.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: Tightened, I think is a little bit more, you gotta get something going pretty soon if you're gonna make it work.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so I kind of bring this to our subject here.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Of a keep-to-lead.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: I guess he's becoming the Broncos biggest insider lately.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it makes sense.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a lot of connections still in that building.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: People wanna talk to him, he's in media
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: So it doesn't surprise me if he does have some people talking to him.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now the way that he worded it, he said he's talking about it being a draft day trade.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now let me let me kind of explain with when these kind of things are breaking down a lot of big traits for the draft are in some ways figured out early before the draft because you got a very small window to get a trade done you know you're not calling when the timers that eight minutes and going oh crap we got to get something figured out now you've probably had lots of conversations with these different teams.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: And essentially what these teams have probably told the Broncos is, hey, if this player is here at this, we're willing to trade this player or this kind of value.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: And so you've got kind of a little bit of a handshake deal that's been taken place.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now if that player is not there, then that team's back and out say, never mind, we want to keep this guy.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: And this happens all the time in the NFL.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos last year, I can tell you, they had a couple trades that were pretty close.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: and either an injury happened during the season when we're talking about trades during the season before the trade deadline.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: Look, Musgrave, that's been pretty documented now.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right, yeah.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: I guess, yeah, I don't have to try to be secret here about some of this.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, then Tucker Craft goes down with injury and Packers are going, hey, we're still in this for the playoffs.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: We can't lose Tucker Craft and Musgrave both at the tight end position.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Never mind, we're back and out.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I would guess this is a Bronco and make a trade.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: There were some slides around the Broncos at defensive back with the same.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all in around when PS2 got hurt.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Right, exactly.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think if the Broncos make a trade, there could be a player involved in the trade from the Broncos going back to the other team, and a pick.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, we've talked about it on this show plenty of times of that cornerback.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: We could see somebody get moved.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: when you're trying to find a spot for for your first round pick last year to to get on there and or wide receiver is another position obviously where you're kind of doing a numbers crunch going, okay, yeah, this guy such as Franklin did great for his last year getting us over 700 yards, but that number two wide receiver spots been filled and he's probably not going to help on special
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: and our second and Franklin for Leporta.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos might really think highly of doing that kind of move.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's definitely, I mean, it's definitely in play.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think for the Broncos, so the tight ends you're talking about.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know that everybody would love Trey McBride.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably one maybe an offseason from an outfit.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: It happens at the position that Cardinals are still circling the drain.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we have that conversation, especially with the
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: The state of the NFC West, I mean, my goodness, rough times, kind of feel like they're in the Raiders position as well.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: But for Broncos at Titan, I mean, I think that Sam Laporta makes a good amount of sense.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: You're probably talking about, you're probably talking about
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: potentially Canyon Cedique following to where the lions are at.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: And if that may be the downstream effect, the other aspect is just how many players the lions have paid.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're going to, I can't remember, have they already paid Gibbs or he's about to get paid?
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's behind the road too.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I couldn't remember if he had or not, because I know that there's a little bit of dragging on B. John in Atlanta.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_02]: That was the same draft, but for some reason I thought maybe Gibbs had already gotten that contract.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: Some of you check and let us know on the paid Jamison Williams wide receiver and obviously goff is making a huge money.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: So they've got some pretty big contracts and it sounds like LePore to it might be available.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what contract he's looking for on the other end, but he'd be interesting.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt and the other one who's been swirling around, I'll give credit to, again, it's a rumor, but you have to give it to where I heard.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was Ben Albright.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: I saw it on Twitter.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: There was talk, I wish I could credit the person who said this, but there was talk before free agency that if Kyle pits hit the market, he would be one of the few that the Broncos would be willing to, you know, be aggressive and pursue and make a free agency splash, which obviously we didn't see much of the season from Denver as far as a free agency splash itself.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: But it sounded like there was interest in pits, and if he was available to, that's another
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: Disappointment compared to his drafts spot because of how unbelievable the 2011 draft was But he has been a top I mean without a doubt a top 10 tight end.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a top five receiving tight end and he's still only 25 years old.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean he is
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: I've watched a lot of Falcons football, still do stuff with Scott, and you see Kyle Pitts, and he is unbelievably physically gifted.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the traits are crazy, but again, is he ever gonna be a great blocker that challenges teams that way?
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's not necessarily amazing after the catch, but man, he is a freakish athlete, wingspan, athlete.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, I'm also intrigued by
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: 25 years old Carl.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: I know, he's still got good football ahead of him.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's for sure.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: And we've seen John Peyton in the past.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's like those athletic tight ends.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's like those guys that can go really put some pressure on the defense of the, that they have to cover every inch of that field.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, good luck plans, split field safety with him running up the scene.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: And unfortunately, the Broncos just haven't had that guy.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: Ingram can't, not many have, right, right.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: It just, ingrams really turned into mostly everything about 10 yards in.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's where he lives now for his career.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: Is it insulting to say that we just kind of like replicated Greg Dolsoch pretty pretty much?
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, I mean, yeah, no, that's what exactly what he was.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: And it's unfortunate, I mean, I think all of us had
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: some hope there, yeah, just a couple years earlier there were Jacksonville.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: He'd gone for what, 950 yards and 100 catches and was a big part of that offense and kind of opened, okay, maybe he can replicate that here, be that kind of player for us, attack the middle intermediate and short for us.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't think anybody had any dreams of him winning over the top, but he couldn't even do the intermediate part of the field.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's just it's disappointing.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, if you had Kyle Pitz all of a sudden, he runs a seam route, teams have to go, oh, oh, we got to stop this.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: Then he got mims and, you know, so much other speed on this team right now that in that wide receiver room that you're going, okay?
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we can really stretch the field and make teams have to lighten the box, which then hey, JK Dobbins, go have fun.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: Harvey, maybe your vision isn't quite as big of a problem because you've got more opportunities to attack.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_01]: And the port can do that, too.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's not quite to pitch level.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_01]: obviously as an athlete.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: But he's another guy that can attack different parts of the field that we don't have right now from the tight end position.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like teams are either saying we're going to load up the box and cover on the outside with with Sutton and just kind of keep a safety deep so you're not beating us over the top or we're just going to cover the outside area and we're going to leave the middle open because we don't believe that you're going to beat us in that area.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I know some people have been like well maybe it's a bone
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's the best quarterback throwing over the middle, but I don't think he's the worst by any means.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's not Russell Wilson level where he doesn't even look that area.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he did fine throw into the middle of the field when he was with Oregon.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's just the Broncos really haven't had that kind of weapon that can take advantage of those kind of areas.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, some of it's the design of the offense, the quarterback, obviously, just where the NFL's at right now.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know that how many times do I talk about it, but like,
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: You have to be a pretty special athlete to overcome being a such a poor blocker at tight end that you don't influence coverage and personnel.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that Trader Bride is one of those guys.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if Sam Laporta is.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a good enough blocker.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's light, but he does get his hands.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: And there's not gonna move you off the point of the tack.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's probably better.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: wide zone versus gap, but he can do a job, no doubt, pits not necessarily a blocker, more of a big mover, but he's freakish enough athlete, size profile that it's like, do we, do we cross that threshold?
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like what is the idea?
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of sound misogynistic, but like the crazy hotline, right?
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's the same concept here where it's like are you good enough receiver that you cross the the line where the blocking doesn't matter as much.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's rare.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's just there's not many guys like that.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: And for Ingram, we're we're not there anymore.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see them at either of their other tight.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to ask if there's a just going to ask you, what do you think it would take to get either of those guys?
- 39:33[SPEAKER_02]: Probably your second round pick and a third rounder next
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: OK, maybe you're getting something back there too.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's your second this year, a third for the player and a fourth.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: Because not sure, injuries are a big thing too.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_03]: The four of us do that, even.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: And competes us out a few injuries that took a little time to build back from as well.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: So the medicals are big.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: I would hate to lose that second round pick, not have a pick until the fourth round.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, it's kind of like you've made that decision that Jalen Wattles your first round pick.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say it's the end of the Porta.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: Sam the Portas your second round pick.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: You trade your third round pick away and I've got two fourth round picks.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: I guess it's the way you're kind of looking at it.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: and this this draft and you're feeling pretty good because now you've got a plus player at for sure with your first and second round pick and you've really probably made the Broncos what a top three team when it comes to weapons to work with.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: If you add those two guys to to this offense, I would probably put I'm trying to think who else you would have above them.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe hmm.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I guess I'd have to think about that.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I would guess, the Broncos would be up there in that kind of level, and which is great.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's what you want for Bo Nix and you're showing the fans or showing the entire team.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we're all then.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: You guys better be bought all in as well.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: And it did sound just side note.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: Bo Nix was at the the masters and was walking around.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I was sounded like he was walking around with not much of a limp or anything like that.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: all good to hear.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know some people are pushing back.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: He was walking around with Drake May for two days.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I saw some people being like, we're the old rivalries where you hate that other player that other team.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know, that's just not the NFL today.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: You don't see a lot of and something that I think it could just be respect to Tom Brady and Peyton Manning didn't hate each other.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: They respected the heck out of each other in what they brought to the game and they hated losing to each other, and I'm sure Bownex White would hate losing to Craig May, and I'm sure he's going to make sure that he doesn't have those kind of losses on his record, but But yeah, I don't think there's going to ever be that kind of level of hatred that we'd see from years past where it was You know, Bronco players hating Raiders players and what I'm nothing to do with them and
- 42:14[SPEAKER_01]: thing they would never set foot in Oakland if they didn't have to other than to play the game.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, that's just a side note, but like I said, it just would be tough for the draft.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I saw somebody make the comment of, hey, what is it made you're just going to do a draft show if we don't have anything until day three of the draft.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty sure we're going to have something so we'll definitely give you guys more details as we get closer here on every single we're going to be doing for the draft, but I promise that there's plenty of us we want to talk about the draft.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I mean we absolutely love the draft and we'll have it we'll have a chance to talk about that and speak in a which we did have a super chat earlier asking for a. simulated.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: Who was it from?
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: Was it from Denver Luke?
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Denver Luke.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let me pull it up here.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe pro football focus is a reputation isn't the best right now, but I still like their mock draft simulator.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: And because Denver's picking later enough, it's not necessarily an issue right when you turn up the randomness as well, but yeah, I'm with it while I pull the subcrawl, were there any other potential players and just you obviously we talked running back and tight end, I mean, is wide receiver still a dark horse, room feels pretty crowded, but I mean,
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: We saw the value of adding a wide receiver, like what it cost, I guess, to add something like that.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it's something to consider.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: Still on this table, maybe if it's especially betrayed somebody from your roster, and then maybe a defensive playmaker, but right now, it still feels like offensive playmakers the most likely situation.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, I can still see deep in supply.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of like the Broncos did with JFM trade.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't think that would quite qualify as the blockbuster move.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: that a key to leave is kind of hinting at, because I don't think you can pay that many people and your deepens of lying like that.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: But I could see them trying to figure out who can we add for the deepens of lying?
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think they like Wazarekay.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think they like Sabion Jones from last year.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: kind of like they were with the the wide receiver position we like our guys but yet we still want to find an upgrade and and that there's going to be plenty of those kind of positions where you say that kind of thing hey we might we might we don't mind this linebacker I don't mind the linebackers we have if we can find an upgrade yep let's go for edge yeah but beneath oh he's going to be very hard to upgrade on but Cooper
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's a decent player, but I think you could probably find something there to possibly bring about.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think it's out of the way the Broncos build their team to think that they could maybe go defensive by.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: Man, it's certainly possible for the Broncos for sure.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: So we're on the board here for the Broncos.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: You got a really interesting option here in Coldenhood.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: I know that people would lose their freaking mind.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's rumors go lower that they're looking to maybe trade one of their cornerbacks and how he heard it from multiple avenues here.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see Jacob Rodriguez somebody earlier was asking about maybe adding him AJ Halsey.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: Chad wrote up an article last week.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: He'd be an option, definitely a dark horse.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: Jadarian price is interesting.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_02]: He also got Jake Gallaudet.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_02]: I really like Skylar Bill, trade and stukes is one of my favorites in the entire class.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of people like Mike Washington here as well, Caitlin Rutledge, Peter Schreger had him going to the first round, 31 overall, in his mock draft.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I know he only used to do one like the day before the draft.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but now it does to ESPN, you know, you got to turn that content, um, but Rutledge is interesting as well.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_02]: Um, harder to find a path to the field.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's something you take him and then trade powers.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, God, I'm fine with Rodriguez.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: I do think you have to look long and hard and consider Colton Hood, because he's, I mean, probably a top 40 player in the class set of value position, but a lot of people would lose their collective minds over it.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't want to make anybody too mad, but just know that there is, there is the Windsor Blun at the corner of our room for the Broncos right now.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think since the Anna was the one that was hinting at Jacob Rodriguez earlier, that was who she'd want.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go ahead and take a run right.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: You paid for it.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be brought for that pick.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you can.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for that, Anna.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: We really do appreciate it.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: Good call there.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: And those look like they're next two picks where Hood and Red Lodge.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: So two guys who are very much in play for the Broncos at.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's 62, very much a play for the first round.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: We're sitting here now at Pick 108.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: We got two really close here.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: We got tied in, options both available.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: Mark Hill, Bellup, Broncos, Matt with him.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: We're already took a linebacker.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mind Malik Mahamed from Texas T-Mate of,
- 47:28[SPEAKER_02]: teammate of Jadari Baran, C.J.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_02]: Daniels is a really good player down here as well.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: Chris McCall and the Broncos met with.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think the first one we have should go with was probably Max Clare.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just trust the board here.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they have this pick.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: It makes some sense to me.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, his time at Ohio State wasn't my favorite.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: But I look back at his year before
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: much more of a receiving option out there.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's some decent football left in him.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't really like some of what I've heard from Ohio State of what they did with him, but they weren't having them work with the Titans always.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, or very often,
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: And in part of me is going, okay, no, that that should be the position he's working with all the time if that's what he's going to play in the NFL that they really wanted to work with the the wide receivers.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm with you.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: I, I'd rather go him.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's some upside for him and I mean, we've got two picks you're pretty close so we can get most likely to these players.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, let's go to the player here.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we've done on the simulation yet with him taking him.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're on the board again.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: It is pretty unbelievable, like, powerful profile.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: I really do like Malachi fields and C.J.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: Daniels down here as well at wide receiver.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_02]: Malik Muhammad makes some sense Denver met with Mark Hellbell.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_02]: He's a weird player because he's so massive, but he's got teeny, tiny baby hands.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: For me, I think I'm leaning into all Jackson here.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we've gone off him yet, but adding a true nose, DJ Jones is somebody who's easy to move off of after this season, a Wazareke last year of his contract and we're just adding developmental beef.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good with that one.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: I like him.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, big, powerful player can help in that run defense.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: He has a role.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's gonna be an NFL player for a while.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, a long way here, this is what happens when you get the context is going on, I got Mark Hill Bell here at Tackle, Billy Shareth, come in in here, and I got you Garrett Nussmire, this far down, I think you have to at least consider it.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_02]: Brian Parker is a versatile player that's interesting for the Broncos here, we could take,
- 49:40[SPEAKER_02]: Waving on Bell, not necessarily against him.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: Eli Raerdins, a completely different skill set.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: Then Max clearly turned earlier.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Iva, Iva, arms, or really good athlete.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: At a linebacker would make some sense down here as well.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like Kaylee on Black, at Indiana, maybe a little early there for me.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: I look at it here.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm probably, this is just who I am.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm probably looking at trenches, Mark Hill, Bell, Billy Sharif, Chris McClaw, and you know, we went defensively and before he's a different type of player, or Brian Parker, those ones stand out to me.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: If you see somebody else though, that you're, is, you know, calling you, we can go that direction.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think Bell being here, this is really good value for him.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: And you get him for a year to work in the system.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: get him coached up and see what he can bring next year or the year after.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: I have rather, as you said earlier, you guys start building now.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: You've always kind of compared it to building a fire.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: You had the logs early to keep the fire going.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_01]: You don't wait until everything's burned down and go, oh, yep, here we go.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now, it re-ignite, it doesn't work that way.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think getting him a year early, you can feel pretty good about that.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we're on the clock here with a few picks coming in and quick succession.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: You got cornerbacks available.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of cornerbacks, a lot of quarterbacks as well.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: This is an interesting spot for the Broncos for quarterback right now for me.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: I have the ones who stand out for me, VJ Payme, safety out of Kansas State.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm obviously going to add some depth, some talent there, bigger player, love that.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, special teams.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: easier, you know, your contracts widened down.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe fighting there and then talking about special teams as well.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: You bring in a bottle, bottles contract.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder how much things have changed with MIM's long-term contract on this team.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: And Kate and Weechin is an unbelievable returner.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: Talking 7th round here.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's, that's fine.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm good with that pick right there.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_01]: I said, you guys start playing up the future.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love for them to get a deal done with MIMS.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't know what the deal would even look like.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: It would be fair for both sides, because I do think in the right place, he could become a really good receiving option.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not sure if that's in Denver, and I think he could maybe find more on the open market, and I think he could be one that decides to wait and kind of see what he can get.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: really interesting board here for the Broncos now.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we've gone running back yet, which might be some people, but I mean at this point, what's the difference between running back or getting at 256, 257 compared to UDFA?
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Right, so, right, I think we take Red Murdoch here, Buffalo.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: You got to love those Buffalo linebackers.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_02]: 6, 1, 2, 40, little older player, but coming in and special teams late.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other one, I actually, the really stands out as Andre Fuller.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_02]: And it really could your last season tested pretty well.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: No analysis yet, that's fine.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: Bigger player, though.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think Andre Fuller is a interesting prospect.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm good with Murdoch there.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's a gilplic in Andre Fuller too.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, both of them.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good with that.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I, I would love to get the, the tie-in from Oklahoma, can it just, it's a personal thing for me.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: He grew up about an hour from me.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: And it's another kid watching play some football in high school.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_01]: I've watched his career.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're in Oklahoma.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: going from linebacker to, to tie it in this past year and actually becoming pretty productive for, for a guy that first year of being a tie-dend.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so that, like I said, it's more of a personal thing than a fact that I think he would actually help the Broncos.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think the two guys you picked would be possible, at least good depth players that I think would have a bigger role with the Broncos than he would.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there you have it, folks.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_02]: Jacob Rodriguez, Max Clare, Dale Jackson, Jr. Mark Hellbell, Kayden, Weechon, Andre Fuller, and Red Murdock.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: I've we'd done a lot of numbers, a number of simulators in here.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think we've taken Jacob, Brad Rodriguez, once or twice before, but the rest of them, I think, was first time, especially for those slots.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, you never know.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, teens of evaluate differently, but I would be, I'd be pretty happy with this one.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: You got some developmental trench players.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: not be hurt so bad if you move on from Marvin Mims also considering to kickoff rules having two kicker turners is nice and yeah at a tight end who can play day one in a lineback or who's might play um day one but definitely gives you some depth so no running back but again it's just such a let's just call it as it is hopefully I may not hear any more so I can say it's a pretty shitty running back class um an overall um
- 54:30[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully, don't get demonetized for that.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: Should have not done that with the Gana here.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_02]: But it's not a very good running bet class.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I just don't think, you know, how different is actually some of the guys are going to have later on compared to these ones.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_02]: We do have Phil coming in saying, guys, if you've made an opening game with your other Platinum England, or Buffalo, I would rather play at New England.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: younger quarterback, more volatile.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think in off season of stewing, also Buffalo bringing in Jim Leonard, as well, known a little bit more of the Broncos operation having a full off season to prepare for that.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think Buffalo is a, just a more, I'm a big Drake, my fan, he's a good quarterback despite the Super Bowl, but like Josh Allen is a demi-god and one of the top three info ball.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I would much rather go to New England to start off the season.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, I'm mostly with you.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: Also, we talked about that Dianna Racini, Mike Rabla.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_02]: Chenanigans.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: It can be a nice distraction that the Broncos.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think there is something to be in the loser of a Super Bowl and having a little bit of a hangover going into the next season.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: that there is something of players kind of feeling like we were this close and that we didn't quite get over the hump and and just taking almost about a month kind of get into the season and I mean, I paid Broncos with Peyton have had that problem too, where September's not been their best month under him, so maybe you have both teams having a little bit of a
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: hang over from the year before and needing a little bit of time to kind of get into it.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm probably with you there that I'd probably rather play them, but I just don't want to go to Buffalo and December either.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_01]: That would not be.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: That'd be a good place to go play.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: Neither if I'm going to be great for that.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: I got a good evening when that early on, but good to see Quentin in here joining us.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_02]: See there's a charge ritual as well.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think anything he said was a two-aggregious, um, so, you know, I'm not really here for the trolling necessarily, but, uh, yeah, as long as you're somewhat respectful, we can live with it.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we got Furman coming in here's Carl, my guy put in us on, bearded guys to shame, yeah, it's, uh,
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard not to make, you know, the Amish jokes about this.
