- 0:01Speaker 1: This is Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous in Depth.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hevery one. Welcome to a special episode of the Almost
- 0:08Speaker 1: Areas podcast Today. We were able to get Tyler Norris
- 0:12Speaker 1: to come on, so we wanted to make sure that
- 0:14Speaker 1: we added it into this week's podcast. Tyler, Hey, how
- 0:19Speaker 1: are you doing? I'm doing good. So last time we
- 0:24Speaker 1: saw you, you were getting dumped by Rachel at the
- 0:29Speaker 1: Jersey Shore and just like the cutest hometown date ever,
- 0:34Speaker 1: and all of us were still like, all of us
- 0:37Speaker 1: collectively Bachelor Nation was so sad to see you go
- 0:40Speaker 1: so early. Um, a lot of us I think expecting
- 0:44Speaker 1: and hoping to see you as first sand uh, the
- 0:48Speaker 1: original cash and Bachelor in Paradise. But you were in
- 0:53Speaker 1: amongs that among that, amongst that crew. Why not why
- 0:58Speaker 1: not um heading down to the beach, head down to
- 1:02Speaker 1: the beach. Yeah, So like what do you mean like
- 1:04Speaker 1: where you headed down? Where you at your own beach?
- 1:07Speaker 1: You're being like king of your own Jersey Shore. I
- 1:11Speaker 1: was just like, you know what, I got my own beach.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You're like, why do any Bachelor in Paradise when I
- 1:17Speaker 1: have my own Jersey Shore Paradise where like every girl,
- 1:21Speaker 1: every Jersey girl is after me there, No, not at all. Oh,
- 1:26Speaker 1: come on, I just have unlimited tequila at home. So
- 1:30Speaker 1: I imagine your life at the Jersey Shore where you
- 1:35Speaker 1: run a Was it basketball? I mean, only the best
- 1:41Speaker 1: carnival arcade game in the entire world is basketball. Yes,
- 1:47Speaker 1: it's the one that I get most competitive over, and
- 1:49Speaker 1: it happens to be probably the only one I could
- 1:52Speaker 1: like even attempt at. I go, oh, man, I have
- 1:56Speaker 1: a whole bunch of tangents I can go on right now.
- 1:58Speaker 1: But we're gonna go back to basketball at the beach
- 2:01Speaker 1: because you have to tell us of the tricks of
- 2:03Speaker 1: the trade there. But but but even though you were
- 2:06Speaker 1: in First Sandy, are we going to see you on Paradise? So?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Um so yeah, promo just came out. I was in
- 2:14Speaker 1: the promo I will be on the sand. Yes, Okay, Well,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I think the reason, my theory is the reason you
- 2:22Speaker 1: weren't there first Sand was because you're the kind of
- 2:26Speaker 1: guy that would shake things up massively, and it would
- 2:32Speaker 1: it would have been a waste of drama if you
- 2:35Speaker 1: were there to start a waste of drama. Yeah, because
- 2:40Speaker 1: I think they were just like you know, and he
- 2:41Speaker 1: needs a little time to heal a little bit more time.
- 2:45Speaker 1: They were just like, then we'll set them down there.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But I feel like if you semi in later it
- 2:49Speaker 1: calls it's even more drama. Right, That's what I'm saying.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It would have been a waste of drama to have
- 2:53Speaker 1: you early on, because you're way more dramatic as a
- 2:57Speaker 1: late entrance, because then you can win solid ish relationships.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Not that I want to do that at all, the
- 3:05Speaker 1: last thing I want to do. But but yeah, it's uh,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I don't know. I guess yeah, I guess they were
- 3:12Speaker 1: just like, you know what, we're gonna wait. Um, we're
- 3:14Speaker 1: gonna wait for everything to get fun, get great going
- 3:17Speaker 1: on the beach, and then just mess with these people
- 3:20Speaker 1: and then we'll throw some guys down there. So okay,
- 3:22Speaker 1: but we're so excited that you're actually coming. Now. Who
- 3:25Speaker 1: did you tell the producers you wanted to see down there?
- 3:29Speaker 1: So for me, I really didn't. I don't know. I
- 3:32Speaker 1: didn't really watch any seasons. Give me the goods. You
- 3:35Speaker 1: had to have looked on people's instagrams. I guess if
- 3:40Speaker 1: I looked at like, there's like a few people they
- 3:42Speaker 1: asked you there, like, is anybody from like prior seasons,
- 3:44Speaker 1: but I didn't really know anybody just looking at instagrams.
- 3:48Speaker 1: You look at everybody, Yes, everybody at the entire test.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I mean they're all gorgeous obviously, sure, but who was
- 3:55Speaker 1: your type? Physically? My type? Um? Well, I thought Britney
- 4:02Speaker 1: was cute. Yeah, so we all think Britney is starting.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I obviously thought Victoria Fuller, yeah, Um, I thought Teddy
- 4:13Speaker 1: was super yeah. Um, trying to think who else? I
- 4:19Speaker 1: think those are like the main three. I would say, Okay, well,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I'm excited to see if anything happens with Victoria or um, Britney,
- 4:27Speaker 1: because they will, it seems, I would say, will be
- 4:31Speaker 1: down there when you arrive, hopefully. I'm so excited. Okay, Well, um,
- 4:39Speaker 1: is there anything you can do for us to tease
- 4:43Speaker 1: whatever Jesse may be alluding to when he talks about
- 4:47Speaker 1: like the most dramatic thing to ever happen in Paradise history. Yes, so, um.
- 4:53Speaker 1: In the promo, it did show that there's a split.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So they take the women that are on the beach
- 5:01Speaker 1: right now and they throw them back in this amazing hotel. Um,
- 5:06Speaker 1: and then they send a new group of girls in
- 5:09Speaker 1: and there's a good chance that there's a few guys
- 5:13Speaker 1: that come in at that hotel, but you gotta remember
- 5:17Speaker 1: that all these girls are already investing guys, so it's
- 5:21Speaker 1: gonna be tough. We're gonna see who ends up ending
- 5:24Speaker 1: their relationships back at the beach for somebody new. Okay,
- 5:27Speaker 1: so are you one of the guys at the hotel
- 5:29Speaker 1: that enters for the quote old girls one of the
- 5:33Speaker 1: new guys? All right, so then there's new girls that
- 5:37Speaker 1: come down to the beach for the quote old guys
- 5:42Speaker 1: for the old guys. Now actually like age wise, Yeah, yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 1: all right, that is so juicy. Alright, we're really really excited.
- 5:51Speaker 1: What was um not, like love wise? Your highlights of paradise?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Your favorite part of being part of the Bachelor Paradise
- 5:59Speaker 1: gust Oh, I would say, meeting Michael A that's my guy,
- 6:06Speaker 1: well the sweetest. Actually, you kind of remind me of
- 6:08Speaker 1: a young version of him. I have heard that before,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and I literally him on Instagram. I sent it to
- 6:15Speaker 1: him because there's like a post that said Tyler is
- 6:17Speaker 1: literally the younger version of Michael. I called Dad all
- 6:20Speaker 1: the time. Now I'm like, Dad, question, why you guys
- 6:24Speaker 1: look similar, you sound similar, and you're just overall demeanor
- 6:29Speaker 1: from what I know of you right now in this
- 6:30Speaker 1: conversation is similar. Yeah. I mean after meeting him and everything,
- 6:35Speaker 1: I was just like I would absolutely aspire to be
- 6:37Speaker 1: someone like this because he's just such a nice, good hearted,
- 6:40Speaker 1: genuine guy and and the end, he's just so easy
- 6:43Speaker 1: to talk to and like literally like a dad figure.
- 6:46Speaker 1: We'll talk to you about anything, will help you through anything.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So what was your least favorite part of being in
- 6:51Speaker 1: Paradise least, David part Um, I would say seeing people cry.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I just hate it. I love being happy, so I
- 7:02Speaker 1: want to see everybody be happy. But seeing like the
- 7:04Speaker 1: downside of people going through stuff, it's it's heartbreaking. So well,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you're saying that Michael Lay is an idol of yours.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Makes me sad that you or Michaelay aren't the Bachelor
- 7:19Speaker 1: because I find that you had a little bit more
- 7:21Speaker 1: gusto both of you than Zach. But you know Zach
- 7:24Speaker 1: better than I do. What's your take on Zack as
- 7:27Speaker 1: a bachelor. I think Zack's going to be a great bachelor.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I think I just all around like he's yeah, and
- 7:34Speaker 1: he's like the same ages me six, So he's a
- 7:37Speaker 1: younger guy, but he knows what he ultimately wants. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: I think that he's very sweet, very genuine. It's a
- 7:45Speaker 1: quirky guy. Um, he's just he's all around just funny.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So and he's got an awesome uncle, So I think
- 7:55Speaker 1: I think that he's going to do a great job.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Was he picked because of his uncle who's very a
- 8:00Speaker 1: missle for being like a side kick on Seinfeld? I
- 8:03Speaker 1: can't agree in your did not no, but maybe I
- 8:08Speaker 1: don't know. No, he was definitely picked because he's just
- 8:11Speaker 1: he's act. He's awesome. He's going to narrate his whole journey,
- 8:14Speaker 1: isn't he I would love Yeah, I would literally love that.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I don't know how much he needs to get paid
- 8:19Speaker 1: to do that, but let's work it up. Okay. So
- 8:24Speaker 1: I want to go back to you for a second.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You and in the Jersey Shore and Rachel. So you
- 8:32Speaker 1: and Rachel really adorable together, but she just felt it
- 8:36Speaker 1: wasn't right enough so that she like cut off your
- 8:40Speaker 1: hometown date short, didn't get you didn't get to introduce
- 8:45Speaker 1: her to your family. Do you feel like, in hindsight
- 8:48Speaker 1: that was a good decision or are you the kind
- 8:51Speaker 1: of guy that was like I would still love to
- 8:53Speaker 1: have introduced the family to a girl that I thought
- 8:56Speaker 1: was special, even if she wasn't like my forever. Now,
- 8:59Speaker 1: I think that it was definitely the right decision because
- 9:02Speaker 1: ultimately I know how important that is, like meeting family
- 9:05Speaker 1: and even in real life like dating, when you get
- 9:08Speaker 1: an opportunity to meet somebody's um parent figures, I mean
- 9:12Speaker 1: that's that's a huge step, Like you're not just opening
- 9:16Speaker 1: up your relationship to one person, but it's to their
- 9:18Speaker 1: entire family. Now, So if she knew that, I wasn't
- 9:22Speaker 1: it at the time, being um, why get more invested?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Why have me be more invested when ultimately you know
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna get hurt. So I think what she did
- 9:31Speaker 1: was I I appreciate it if anything, because it didn't
- 9:35Speaker 1: get even deeper and your heart of hearts, did you
- 9:38Speaker 1: think you're going to make it through that hometown week
- 9:40Speaker 1: or did you think your time was coming to an end?
- 9:43Speaker 1: I really did, only because I got the group date
- 9:47Speaker 1: rods and at that time it was kind of just
- 9:50Speaker 1: like the date during the day, Tina was the chiefe king.
- 9:54Speaker 1: They kissed in front of all of us, and just
- 9:56Speaker 1: like this is the worst, Like I have to watch
- 9:59Speaker 1: this happen in front of me, and I'm just like,
- 10:01Speaker 1: I'm like thinking to more stuffing, like okay, like I
- 10:03Speaker 1: know where my relationship. The relationship is with um is
- 10:07Speaker 1: that with her? But now you're liking to yourself. Maybe
- 10:11Speaker 1: it's stronger with other people, and you know, it's just
- 10:13Speaker 1: something that's part of the process, that's what it is.
- 10:16Speaker 1: But when I got that group date Rose and she
- 10:18Speaker 1: said I can't wait to meet your family, I was
- 10:20Speaker 1: just like, okay, like this is awesome. Yeah, in the
- 10:23Speaker 1: same way as me. So I was super excited and
- 10:26Speaker 1: like coming home and everything. I was just like, all right,
- 10:28Speaker 1: I have something good and I could show her my hometown,
- 10:32Speaker 1: I get to know her even more and you know,
- 10:34Speaker 1: just have a great day with her. And I thought
- 10:37Speaker 1: it was going great, But it's not. Do you know
- 10:40Speaker 1: what order your hometown was, because sometimes it's not air
- 10:42Speaker 1: in the same order. I think mine was second. Huh,
- 10:46Speaker 1: who do you think was first? I'm pretty sure it
- 10:49Speaker 1: was even So do you think that she had such
- 10:51Speaker 1: a great time at Aven's hometown that like it was
- 10:54Speaker 1: directly compared? I would, Um, maybe I think that, you know,
- 10:59Speaker 1: because I was second. Obviously you have a connection first
- 11:01Speaker 1: like the first one, and we all saw her connection
- 11:04Speaker 1: with Avan, so obviously she had a great time, and
- 11:07Speaker 1: then you're thinking to yourself, Okay, I'm at this point
- 11:09Speaker 1: with this guy. Am I here with with me? And
- 11:13Speaker 1: she wasn't. So definitely I think that had something to
- 11:16Speaker 1: do with it. Lots of people have been giving Rachel
- 11:19Speaker 1: flack for the way that she reacted when Aven was
- 11:22Speaker 1: pretty much saying that he wasn't ready for proposed right
- 11:25Speaker 1: there on the show. What was your take on that.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I think that even I love Evan, he's my boy. Um,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I think that the way that he went about it. Um.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I think that he was very levelheaded and he was
- 11:40Speaker 1: just being honest, and you know, he's at that point
- 11:44Speaker 1: in his life, is what he kept saying. I'm at
- 11:45Speaker 1: that point in my life where I'm not scared to
- 11:47Speaker 1: get engaged with somebody or anything like that. But I
- 11:49Speaker 1: think realistically we see this through after this. But you
- 11:54Speaker 1: got to think of it like the pressure just on
- 11:56Speaker 1: the show, like being a lead, when ultimately it comes
- 12:00Speaker 1: down to getting engaged at the end. I mean, that's
- 12:03Speaker 1: why you go on the show. You make these amazing connections,
- 12:05Speaker 1: and ultimately most of the time you get engaged. So
- 12:08Speaker 1: I think having that pressure was on Rachel the entire time,
- 12:14Speaker 1: and you know that's she just kept thinking to herself,
- 12:18Speaker 1: probably I'm supposed to be here to get engaged. If
- 12:21Speaker 1: you're not here for that, why are you here? Um?
- 12:24Speaker 1: So I heard it out from both sides. I don't
- 12:26Speaker 1: think either of them were in the wrong. I think
- 12:29Speaker 1: they were Ultimately Rachel was pressured and even was just
- 12:32Speaker 1: getting level headed. So respect respect. Um. Okay, So just
- 12:38Speaker 1: to talk about your hometown for one, because I have genuine,
- 12:41Speaker 1: genuine curiosity. What is it about the hoop at the
- 12:47Speaker 1: basketball game on the shore that makes us all the
- 12:51Speaker 1: worst basketball players in the world. What do you guys
- 12:53Speaker 1: do to that rim? I don't do anything to the end, Oh,
- 12:57Speaker 1: but the manufactur does either him as is, and it
- 13:01Speaker 1: just so happens. The rim is a little bit more
- 13:04Speaker 1: of like an oval rather than a perfect circle, because
- 13:07Speaker 1: if it was a perfect circle, I would not be
- 13:10Speaker 1: in business. Because Okay, so, if like Lebron James went
- 13:15Speaker 1: and played with that hoop, he still would be pretty
- 13:18Speaker 1: bad at it. Now I think Lebron would do pretty well.
- 13:22Speaker 1: We've had some like college like basketball players come up
- 13:25Speaker 1: and shoot and they nake it, but you have to
- 13:28Speaker 1: have like the perfect shop for it. I will say that.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And then sometimes some people get lucky. I've had people
- 13:33Speaker 1: go up just one hand and just throw it up
- 13:35Speaker 1: and it gives in. It's crazy how many people get
- 13:40Speaker 1: a hoop in the basket every day? Like how many? Yeah?
- 13:44Speaker 1: How many shots do we get? I would say anywhere
- 13:48Speaker 1: between throughout an entire day, like on average, Like really,
- 13:55Speaker 1: that's pretty good. That's a good amount, not bad. All right,
- 14:00Speaker 1: Well then I want I want to talk more to
- 14:02Speaker 1: Tyler about his summer romances at the Jersey Shore and
- 14:06Speaker 1: some other bachelor stuff. But for us, we have to
- 14:08Speaker 1: take a quick break. All right, Tyler, this is how
- 14:20Speaker 1: I imagine like your summer over the past decade for
- 14:24Speaker 1: yourself at the Jersey Shore. I feel like you are
- 14:27Speaker 1: basically a country song and you take girls on roller
- 14:30Speaker 1: coasters and the ferris wheel, and like you eat cotton
- 14:33Speaker 1: candy and cameral apples and it's like the cutest thing ever.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So tell us about some stories of romance at the
- 14:39Speaker 1: shore that are like a country song. Yeah, Like what
- 14:42Speaker 1: do you do? Like, what are your moves? My moved
- 14:45Speaker 1: so back in a day, my move was I had
- 14:49Speaker 1: had two jobs at the time. I used to go
- 14:52Speaker 1: down to the beach. I'd push around an ice cream
- 14:54Speaker 1: court and I'd sell ice cream. Oh my god, you
- 14:56Speaker 1: were probably selling so many ice cream cones to girls
- 15:00Speaker 1: that wouldn't normally not buy one. Well, I think they
- 15:04Speaker 1: ultimately wanted the ice cream, but they would. They would
- 15:07Speaker 1: come up and till there's so much fun. I go
- 15:09Speaker 1: down there, just get a tan, pushing around an ice
- 15:13Speaker 1: cream cards on ice cream, making good money. And then
- 15:15Speaker 1: right after that, I literally would run off the beach
- 15:18Speaker 1: right up to the boardwalk and start working on the
- 15:20Speaker 1: boardwalk with the basketball games. And you would meet so
- 15:23Speaker 1: many people through that, and I love talking with people socializing.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Um And ultimately the boardwalk there's a lot of women
- 15:30Speaker 1: on the boardwalk, so they approach it to talk to you.
- 15:32Speaker 1: This Matt, I love when it comes to dates and
- 15:35Speaker 1: stuff like that. Um. I wouldn't do the boardwalk more
- 15:38Speaker 1: than once. I was more of like a mini golf
- 15:40Speaker 1: type of guy. Um, or dinner on the water or
- 15:43Speaker 1: something like that. Fawn. Um, Yeah, that was kind of
- 15:49Speaker 1: like like me. But the boardwalk, it's it's a one
- 15:51Speaker 1: of dumb thing because you overdo it. At that point,
- 15:53Speaker 1: water park. Throw a water park in there, We're doing
- 15:56Speaker 1: it awesome. How did casting find you? So? I had
- 16:02Speaker 1: a friend that nominated me. My friend's girlfriend nominated me,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and yeah, I got a random call one day and
- 16:11Speaker 1: they said to me, would you be interested in the show?
- 16:13Speaker 1: And at first I was just like, really, who is
- 16:16Speaker 1: this and he's just like, seriously, this is whatever from
- 16:19Speaker 1: the casting process. Would you be interested? I said, absolutely,
- 16:22Speaker 1: tell me what I gotta do. So, yeah, you have
- 16:24Speaker 1: all the interviews and everything afterwards. But it was just
- 16:27Speaker 1: it was crazy to me because I said on like
- 16:29Speaker 1: other podcasts and everything, I was the only season I've
- 16:33Speaker 1: watched all the way through was Clayton's season. And I
- 16:36Speaker 1: had d m rachel Um two weeks into their season
- 16:40Speaker 1: and yes, I told her, if she ever ends up
- 16:44Speaker 1: as the bachelorette, yeah, if she can say don't work
- 16:48Speaker 1: out with playing you ever end up as a bachelortte?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Signed me up because I literally think you're gorgeous. Two
- 16:52Speaker 1: weeks later in that call, what yeah, nuts, you alreaty
- 16:56Speaker 1: even in the casting process yet Nope, did you tell
- 17:02Speaker 1: when you told her that story? Was she swim? Yeah? Yeah?
- 17:05Speaker 1: I still thought like Rachel and I are friends. Um, yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 1: she saw the message. I told her during our one day,
- 17:12Speaker 1: like we were in a room and I told her.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I was just like listen, like I don't know if
- 17:16Speaker 1: you know this was but a DM do And you
- 17:18Speaker 1: didn't answer, and she was just like, well, I probably
- 17:20Speaker 1: didn't see it. I was just yeah, whatever you say, Rachel,
- 17:24Speaker 1: no way, that's so crazy. It was nuts. You want
- 17:27Speaker 1: to hear a crazy story. That's very that's similar, but
- 17:29Speaker 1: like in a motherly way. So when my husband and
- 17:33Speaker 1: I were like starting to try to have a baby,
- 17:37Speaker 1: and I was all very open about it on Instagram. UM,
- 17:41Speaker 1: the one of the O B G I M practices
- 17:46Speaker 1: that was like part of my dad's like system because
- 17:50Speaker 1: my dad's a doctor in Northern Virginia. UM, one of
- 17:53Speaker 1: the midwives from one of those practices, she reached out
- 17:55Speaker 1: to me on Instagram. She was like, hey, you should
- 17:59Speaker 1: totally come to our practice. Uh, well, you know, we'd
- 18:02Speaker 1: love to have you or great blah blah blah. I
- 18:04Speaker 1: never saw it. Um. I ended up going with that practice,
- 18:09Speaker 1: not ever getting the message, but because my dad recommended.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And then lo and behold, that girl who deemed me
- 18:18Speaker 1: was the woman who delivered my child, like literally the
- 18:22Speaker 1: first one to have hands. Yes, and then she goes, actually,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you have to follow me on I can't believe you
- 18:26Speaker 1: still don't follow me on Instagram. And I didn't can't
- 18:28Speaker 1: couldn't believe that by the time, like after all that,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I still hadn't followed her on Instagram. So like I'm
- 18:34Speaker 1: lying in the hospital bed follow Becca and then I
- 18:38Speaker 1: see the message from a year and a half prior,
- 18:42Speaker 1: or maybe it's like a year to the day, which
- 18:43Speaker 1: she was like, Hey, I'd love to, like, you know,
- 18:45Speaker 1: you to come to our practice, and was like, oh
- 18:47Speaker 1: my god, you just delivered our baby and I didn't
- 18:50Speaker 1: even see this. Yeah, it's like almost just as crazy.
- 18:54Speaker 1: That's nuts. Yeah. All right, um, let's talk about this
- 18:59Speaker 1: moment meant that you had down and I think Florida
- 19:02Speaker 1: at a club with these bachelor guys, a whole bunch
- 19:05Speaker 1: of your bachelor guy friends. Okay, so somebody held up
- 19:12Speaker 1: like a light sign, you know, like one of those
- 19:14Speaker 1: bottle service signs that said like f tino, Uh huh,
- 19:19Speaker 1: who was holding that? You're all associated with it? I
- 19:24Speaker 1: definitely was not associated with it. I literally turned, I'm
- 19:27Speaker 1: looking at the guys I'm like, who. I'm like, you
- 19:29Speaker 1: guys are idiots? Why are you doing this? Just because
- 19:31Speaker 1: like I didn't meet personally. I don't have an issue
- 19:35Speaker 1: with Tina whatsoever, Tino on the show and everything, but
- 19:39Speaker 1: you have one of the I guess bottle service girls
- 19:41Speaker 1: were like holding it up, like carrying it around, and
- 19:45Speaker 1: I turned and I was just looking at the gas.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm like, what are we doing? Why? Yeah, why, It's
- 19:50Speaker 1: so dumb. So do you think that one of the
- 19:51Speaker 1: guys requested it as a joke or that like the
- 19:55Speaker 1: bottle service girls were like this would be funny, you
- 19:59Speaker 1: know what. At the time, at first, I thought to myself,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I was just like, you know what, it had to
- 20:04Speaker 1: be like one of like the people that got eliminated early,
- 20:09Speaker 1: because I wanted your career that got eliminated early in
- 20:13Speaker 1: the time. I mean we kind of like had heard
- 20:15Speaker 1: and knew kind of like what had happened transpired um recently,
- 20:20Speaker 1: so you know, we knew, but nobody else knew. So
- 20:24Speaker 1: it had to be one of the guys. I don't
- 20:25Speaker 1: know who it was. I don't know whose idea it was,
- 20:28Speaker 1: but yeah, I was definitely not involved with that whatsoever.
- 20:32Speaker 1: But of course it's my case in front of my association. Yeah.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I was just like, of course. My friend texted me
- 20:39Speaker 1: the next day and they were just like, Tyler, this
- 20:40Speaker 1: is bad and I was just like, I wasn't even involved. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 1: that sucks. It wasn't a good luck. But also like
- 20:47Speaker 1: none of us out there thought that sweet Tyler would
- 20:50Speaker 1: be the one to do you. Absolutely not no, okay, um,
- 20:56Speaker 1: I like to play a game of rapid fire to
- 20:59Speaker 1: end interviews, But first, is there anything that you'd like
- 21:04Speaker 1: to share with their audience that like has been weighing
- 21:07Speaker 1: on your chest since you've been off the show, and
- 21:11Speaker 1: before you start Paradise, Like, is there any warning going
- 21:14Speaker 1: to paradise or anything you want to clear up from
- 21:16Speaker 1: the Bachelor atte I would say this, um, because so
- 21:21Speaker 1: many people going Tyler read the room when I got dumped. Now,
- 21:25Speaker 1: when I got dumped, okay, the day was growing great. Everything.
- 21:29Speaker 1: We went into separate interviews. After the interviews, we met
- 21:32Speaker 1: together and I saw her and she looked tear eyed,
- 21:36Speaker 1: and I was just like, Rachel, was everything okay? All right?
- 21:38Speaker 1: And she told me, yes, I'm just cold, So it's
- 21:41Speaker 1: just like okay. So I gave her a hug and
- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm warming her up. And when I sat down with her,
- 21:47Speaker 1: I like, I knew our day went well. So when
- 21:50Speaker 1: I laid it all on her, I did not know
- 21:53Speaker 1: whatsoever that she was going to break up to her
- 21:54Speaker 1: there was something wrong. I just thought she was cold.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Oh that's sweet. How long between being cold? In the conversation,
- 22:04Speaker 1: I would say she started off the conversations that it
- 22:09Speaker 1: was a good day, she got my friends and everything.
- 22:11Speaker 1: It had to be at the point where I don't
- 22:15Speaker 1: even know. She started crying when I said that I
- 22:19Speaker 1: loved her, So that's I think. I was just like,
- 22:22Speaker 1: this is either go bad or just going really good.
- 22:26Speaker 1: And of course it was a bad one. Do you
- 22:29Speaker 1: feel like you actually loved her? Or was it sort
- 22:32Speaker 1: of lusty at that point? In hindsight, I think in hindsight,
- 22:36Speaker 1: looking at it, it's so different because when you're on
- 22:38Speaker 1: the show, you're in this bubble and it's so easy
- 22:41Speaker 1: to fall for somebody hard when you're in this bubble
- 22:43Speaker 1: and it's all you think about so the time being, Yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 1: in that world, I was definitely like all in, like
- 22:50Speaker 1: falling in love with her. But looking in hindsight, and
- 22:53Speaker 1: I'm like I'm gonna be all right, you know. Okay,
- 22:56Speaker 1: I just got lost in this world for two months.
- 22:59Speaker 1: But but yeah, and then you just got thrown right
- 23:02Speaker 1: back into it. There was a very short amount of time,
- 23:05Speaker 1: very very short amount of time between filming Bachelor in
- 23:08Speaker 1: Paradise this season. Did that contribute to you coming in
- 23:12Speaker 1: late for real? For real? Um? A little bit? I
- 23:16Speaker 1: mean I when I first got the call, it's just
- 23:18Speaker 1: like add or I really want to do this again,
- 23:20Speaker 1: like really put myself through this because it's mentally draining,
- 23:23Speaker 1: it really is. Um. So I was just like, I'll
- 23:26Speaker 1: think about it and then excided. I was just like,
- 23:29Speaker 1: you know what, like go down there and have fun,
- 23:31Speaker 1: get to meet some people that you know, I've had
- 23:34Speaker 1: the same experience as you, and ultimately like, yeah, there's
- 23:37Speaker 1: a chance you might meet somebody. So I was just like, Okay,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I think that, you know, I really put myself out
- 23:42Speaker 1: there before. Why not try one more time? Okay. So,
- 23:47Speaker 1: was there like a matter of like two or three
- 23:49Speaker 1: weeks between you coming home and then you're going to
- 23:52Speaker 1: fill Paradise? Had to be at least like a month Okay, Okay,
- 23:56Speaker 1: that's not super different because you were like top four
- 23:59Speaker 1: and normally UP four does get about four weeks of
- 24:02Speaker 1: a downtime. Does that make it harder or easier to
- 24:05Speaker 1: jump back in? I would say harder, Well, because you're
- 24:11Speaker 1: still thinking of Rachel. No, I would say you kind
- 24:16Speaker 1: of know how it works, like how the whole journey
- 24:19Speaker 1: like works. You just saw it and everything, and um
- 24:24Speaker 1: like I went in just so gullible, kind of just
- 24:27Speaker 1: like I don't know how like how this entire process
- 24:30Speaker 1: goes so and then kind of like when I was
- 24:34Speaker 1: told how Paradise works and operates, I was told as
- 24:36Speaker 1: completely different, which it is completely different, which is awesome completely,
- 24:42Speaker 1: but at first, yeah, it was definitely's definitely hard because
- 24:44Speaker 1: I was just like, I don't want to go through
- 24:45Speaker 1: the same thing I just went through on the Bachelrette. Yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I totally understand that. All right, well let's play some
- 24:52Speaker 1: rapid Fire, but first we're gonna take a quick break
- 24:54Speaker 1: right now. Alright, rapid fire, what are you studying in school?
- 25:09Speaker 1: Right now? School? Yeah? I just heard that you were
- 25:13Speaker 1: in class. I am a substitute teacher. Oh my gosh. Okay, yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 1: so Tyler couldn't could make our initial time because he
- 25:22Speaker 1: was stuck in school. I heard you're a substitute teacher.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Do all the girls have crushes on you? I don't.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I don't know, Okay, so yes, Oh my gosh, you're
- 25:34Speaker 1: that teacher that girls like walk by the room and
- 25:37Speaker 1: they're like giggle at you, open up my joy that
- 25:40Speaker 1: go hey, Mr, and like, oh my god, Mr Norris
- 25:44Speaker 1: a substituting for us today? How did the kids at
- 25:49Speaker 1: school feel about you being on the show? Like, now
- 25:53Speaker 1: you must get even more attention. Originally there's only a
- 25:56Speaker 1: few that knew because it's middle school, so they don't
- 25:59Speaker 1: really watch and that. And next thing you know, they're like,
- 26:03Speaker 1: my parents told me that you were on a TV show?
- 26:06Speaker 1: Is that true? And I'm like, yeah, I was. And
- 26:09Speaker 1: then at one point, I remember some girl came up
- 26:12Speaker 1: to me and she was like she's giving a little
- 26:14Speaker 1: bit of attitude and I was just like, all right,
- 26:16Speaker 1: you can leave and go to the office. She goes,
- 26:17Speaker 1: why don't you go get dumped on TV again? And
- 26:20Speaker 1: I was just like, wow, my god, that's crazy. These
- 26:24Speaker 1: kids are roasting me right now. Yeah, how did you
- 26:27Speaker 1: respond to that? I was just in awe. I was
- 26:30Speaker 1: just like I was a good one, not gonna lie
- 26:32Speaker 1: still good. Wow. Okay, who do people say your celebrity looklike?
- 26:38Speaker 1: Is celebrity look like? You know? I got one today? Um,
- 26:43Speaker 1: in class we were watching I put on a movie
- 26:46Speaker 1: from my one class. It was called Home Team, and
- 26:49Speaker 1: Taylor Lautner's in it, and I guess because of my
- 26:52Speaker 1: eyes like a little bit, I got like squinting your eyes.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I was told it look like Taylor at her a
- 26:56Speaker 1: little bit, and I was just like, I appreciate that. Guys.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I can definitely see Taylor a lot. Now that you
- 27:00Speaker 1: say that. I think Matt Lawrence or Chris Allen, the
- 27:05Speaker 1: winner of American Idol in two thousand eight. Allen, Yeah,
- 27:09Speaker 1: this is the other one. He's from what TV shows
- 27:12Speaker 1: I called World. That's what he's known for. So I think, wow,
- 27:17Speaker 1: you gotta go look at Chris Allen that it's uncanny.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You did the cheese date on the show. What is
- 27:26Speaker 1: your true favorite cheese? Favorite cheese? Um? Of course you
- 27:34Speaker 1: asked me, and I forget what's the cheese they have
- 27:38Speaker 1: in like Greek salad cheese? That is a very interesting choice.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Do you like eating feta? Just plain or just yeah?
- 27:47Speaker 1: Because it seems like it's interesting. It's an interesting choice,
- 27:51Speaker 1: not saying that it's not good. I'm just saying that, like,
- 27:54Speaker 1: there's a lot of good like cheese out there that
- 27:56Speaker 1: you can just you know, pick up an eat. But
- 27:58Speaker 1: I don't know that I would choose fatta to do that.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I do like the wineries, just eating whatever cheesey put
- 28:02Speaker 1: in front of me. So not picky, not picky. Yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 1: if you could stunt cast the Bachelor or the Bachelorette
- 28:11Speaker 1: with a celebrity lead, who would you want the celebrity
- 28:15Speaker 1: lead to be? As the Bachelor? Yeah? As the Bachelor? Oh,
- 28:23Speaker 1: put my boys at that front on there? Oh my god. Yes,
- 28:26Speaker 1: Zach Efron, Okay, I guess you have like Also, there's
- 28:30Speaker 1: either like a little Zac Efron looked to you if
- 28:31Speaker 1: you have blue eyes. I wish I would If anybody
- 28:36Speaker 1: compared me to Zack Affront, I think I'd pass out.
- 28:38Speaker 1: I don't know. Why do you love Zach Effron? We
- 28:41Speaker 1: have just found a big commonality here. He's literally that
- 28:46Speaker 1: he's literally the best actor I think I've ever seen.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Why do you say that? Zafron fan for years seventeen? Again,
- 28:53Speaker 1: his acting could have been nominated for a Golden Globe.
- 28:57Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying he pulls up, he gets out
- 29:00Speaker 1: of the car, and the songs in the background and
- 29:02Speaker 1: like puts his jacket on. Stuff like that. I used
- 29:05Speaker 1: to think I was like that, Oh my gosh, whenever
- 29:09Speaker 1: that movie is on, I have to put it on
- 29:11Speaker 1: and keep it on, watch it to the end. Everything.
- 29:14Speaker 1: He's got such good comedic timing, and I think that's
- 29:16Speaker 1: under like underrated. I just it's got such a nice personality.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I tell you, I always tell Jared, I'm like Jared,
- 29:25Speaker 1: if I'm at zac Effron, like it would be trouble
- 29:27Speaker 1: because like it's not like I'm just like physically attracted him.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I'm like, I like love his personality so much. Zack,
- 29:35Speaker 1: everyone would want to, like, you know, steal me away
- 29:37Speaker 1: from my husband or whatnot. But Za my ultimate crush
- 29:41Speaker 1: what Jared Jared would understand. But he's such he has
- 29:46Speaker 1: such a man crush on him too. He loves him.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Um And then have you did you watch his Netflix
- 29:52Speaker 1: show about travel? Yeah? Yeah, yes, it's so good. I
- 29:57Speaker 1: don't know. He's like so humble and regular and down
- 30:01Speaker 1: down to earth. So anyway, I could go on about
- 30:05Speaker 1: zach Ebron. He appeals to girls and guys. I love it,
- 30:09Speaker 1: like I love it. Was like a teen heart throb
- 30:10Speaker 1: that like just appeals to girls, grows up to become
- 30:14Speaker 1: somebody that even guys worship. It's kind of a Justin
- 30:16Speaker 1: Timberlake effect or like Harry Styles thing. You know. All right,
- 30:21Speaker 1: So what Jersey rep you know, like what stereotype of
- 30:27Speaker 1: New Jersey is totally false too, totally false. Oh my gosh,
- 30:36Speaker 1: the Jersey Shore when they watched Jersey gtl ye like
- 30:40Speaker 1: that look just that like acting like that, that is
- 30:43Speaker 1: not us whatsoever. But we're just like beechy vibes. Like
- 30:48Speaker 1: San Diego is prime example. What I think is like
- 30:51Speaker 1: most like my hometown. And when people think of themselves
- 30:55Speaker 1: like Georgy Shore, this and that, like I don't even
- 30:58Speaker 1: think they're from Jersey. I think through like Staten Island
- 31:01Speaker 1: or something like that. They were all over from Rhode Island,
- 31:05Speaker 1: which I have never seen a poly d like figure
- 31:08Speaker 1: here in Rhode Island. But when people so I'm like
- 31:11Speaker 1: originally from Jersey to um my parents lived there for
- 31:15Speaker 1: over thirty years. That's where I was born in, people
- 31:18Speaker 1: always are like, oh my god, Jersey. You know, when
- 31:20Speaker 1: people aren't familiar with Jersey, they're like Jersey, you know,
- 31:23Speaker 1: like and it's like you guys, that's like maybe like
- 31:26Speaker 1: one mile there's like maybe you can find like one
- 31:28Speaker 1: mile of the beach like that exactly. Yeah, we're nothing
- 31:32Speaker 1: like that. Withever so s. That's the only serious. It's
- 31:35Speaker 1: pretty wholesome family fund over there. Okay, Well, thank you
- 31:39Speaker 1: so much, Tyler for talking to us and taking the
- 31:42Speaker 1: time out of your day after you've been you know,
- 31:45Speaker 1: surrounded by middle schoolers all day. Yeah, that's always fun,
- 31:50Speaker 1: helping me up a little bit. We can't wait to
- 31:52Speaker 1: see you on Bachelor in Paradise next week. We are
- 31:54Speaker 1: wishing you to find love with one of those ladies
- 31:58Speaker 1: that you talked about, right all right, Well, thanks Tyler.
- 32:02Speaker 1: We'll talk to you against soon hopefully. Thank you. Follow
