- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's Mark Simone. Welcome to the bonus segment of
- 0:03Speaker 1: the podcast. Just for you podcast listeners out. There a
- 0:07Speaker 1: lot going on this week, So Graham Platner, more stuff
- 0:11Speaker 1: coming out every two seconds than another woman coming forward
- 0:13Speaker 1: about Platiner. This one says she was the ex girlfriend
- 0:19Speaker 1: who this is when he was cheating on his fiance
- 0:22Speaker 1: in twenty twenty one. She said there was also someone
- 0:26Speaker 1: else she thinks he was cheating with, and that he
- 0:29Speaker 1: talked about that tattoo on his chest as you know.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Now he's, well, I thought it was a skull and bones,
- 0:35Speaker 1: but as she is claiming that he knew it was
- 0:38Speaker 1: a Nazi tattoo. In fact, she complained, she says, you
- 0:41Speaker 1: got a Nazi tattoo right on your chest, and well,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you know, he talked about it. So this is the
- 0:49Speaker 1: problem this guy's got. Every two seconds, it's going to
- 0:52Speaker 1: be another woman coming out. Now once it's officially officially
- 0:56Speaker 1: sealed that he's the nominee. Republicans claim they got all
- 0:59Speaker 1: kinds of they're going to unleash on him. But you
- 1:02Speaker 1: know these Republicans, they tend to oversell all this stuff.
- 1:05Speaker 1: So let's see what they what they really have a
- 1:08Speaker 1: crazy mom Donnie has quietly put together a personal propaganda
- 1:14Speaker 1: office and it's going to cost taxpayers. It was originally
- 1:19Speaker 1: talking about five million for this propaganda office. He calls
- 1:23Speaker 1: it the Mayor's Office of mass Engagement, but it's a
- 1:27Speaker 1: propaganda office. Turns out now it's going to cost ten
- 1:31Speaker 1: times that. It looks like it's going to cost fifty
- 1:33Speaker 1: million dollars, thirty five forty staffers. That's a lot of
- 1:38Speaker 1: people for this little propaganda operation. The mayor tapped a
- 1:43Speaker 1: longtime Democratic Socialist member and organizer, Tasha van Auchen as commissioner.
- 1:51Speaker 1: They call it an outreach agency, but it really is
- 1:54Speaker 1: the Mayor's Office of mass Engagement. It's a propaganda office.
- 1:58Speaker 1: You know, nobody's ever had this. The mayor has a
- 2:00Speaker 1: press secretary and a press office, and you know the
- 2:05Speaker 1: City Hall reporters. You want to get anything out there,
- 2:07Speaker 1: your press secretary comes out, talks. It's called the Room
- 2:10Speaker 1: nine at City Hall. Room nine filled with all the press,
- 2:14Speaker 1: all the reporters, all the media. Press secretary goes in there,
- 2:17Speaker 1: tells them whatever they want. No, that's it, that's your
- 2:21Speaker 1: public outreach. But mom Donnie creating a propaganda organization this
- 2:25Speaker 1: is not good. Seattle's got one of these crazy mayors,
- 2:29Speaker 1: one of these crazy left wing kookie mayors. I was
- 2:33Speaker 1: trying to drive business out. You know, they claim they
- 2:35Speaker 1: love tax revenue, but then they want to chase away
- 2:39Speaker 1: the biggest, biggest taxpayers. So she was going after a Starbucks.
- 2:44Speaker 1: They were going to pull out. Now she's backed off
- 2:45Speaker 1: on that. And then these kookie mom donnie type mayors,
- 2:49Speaker 1: they always yell and scream about housing, but the one
- 2:52Speaker 1: thing they know nothing about is housing or how to
- 2:55Speaker 1: fix it. You know, there is government housing, there's city
- 2:58Speaker 1: run housing, there's a knight houses that kind of suff
- 3:01Speaker 1: and they're always horrible. Conditions are horrible, they're badly run.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Nothing is worse than the government doing housing. So this
- 3:07Speaker 1: crazy Seattle mayor, the mom Doannie of Seattle, she said,
- 3:10Speaker 1: they're going to come up with these houses they're going
- 3:12Speaker 1: to give to people. A thousand of them are playing, yeah,
- 3:17Speaker 1: the city will have houses they give to you. Well,
- 3:19Speaker 1: look at this. It turns out they look like giant outhouses.
- 3:23Speaker 1: They look like big, big porta potties. That's just ridiculous.
- 3:28Speaker 1: They look like just picture a porta potty, like three
- 3:31Speaker 1: times the size. So they're calling it a house, but
- 3:35Speaker 1: it would be fifty No, it would be seventy five
- 3:38Speaker 1: square feet. I'm in a studio right now that's bigger
- 3:43Speaker 1: than seventy five square feet, So this would be a
- 3:46Speaker 1: house that's seventy five square feet. They have a thousand
- 3:50Speaker 1: of a plan. They're tiny units, about the size of
- 3:55Speaker 1: a jail cell. Each one has a single bed and
- 3:58Speaker 1: a desk. Each cost sixteen thousand dollars to build. Those
- 4:04Speaker 1: moving in will have to share toilets with other This
- 4:10Speaker 1: is government has This is what they've come up with.
- 4:12Speaker 1: The woke mayor said the units are for homeless people
- 4:15Speaker 1: suffering from complex problems related to substance abuse or mental disorders,
- 4:21Speaker 1: but without forcing them to seek help or even stay
- 4:23Speaker 1: off the drugs. What is the point of that, Well,
- 4:26Speaker 1: the point is, if you're a democratic socialists, you want
- 4:29Speaker 1: everybody on drugs, you want everybody stoned. That's the whole idea.
- 4:33Speaker 1: That's why they love legalizing pot marijuana. Any Just you
- 4:37Speaker 1: stay stoned, we'll give you whatever you need, We'll take
- 4:40Speaker 1: care of you. That's the way the socialist world works.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You got people who are living way below the poverty
- 4:47Speaker 1: line getting government handouts. And the socialists are living like kings.
- 4:50Speaker 1: They're in mansions and palaces. Hey, you got the World
- 4:53Speaker 1: Cup in New Jersey this weekend. You know it's right
- 5:00Speaker 1: if you live near the stadium, if you live within
- 5:02Speaker 1: twenty minutes of MetLife Stadium, you can make a fortune
- 5:06Speaker 1: renting your house out. You know, this goes on all
- 5:09Speaker 1: the time for golf tournaments. You know, in the golf
- 5:11Speaker 1: tournament comes to let's say west Chester, there's a few hotels,
- 5:17Speaker 1: there's a few nice hotels in Westchester. But a lot
- 5:20Speaker 1: of the players will come with the caddy, with their staff,
- 5:23Speaker 1: with their family. You know, the player comes with like
- 5:25Speaker 1: twelve people with them. So a lot of the players,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and they've been doing this for years. Right near the
- 5:29Speaker 1: country club, they look for houses they can rent and
- 5:33Speaker 1: it's only for a week or so, but they'll pay
- 5:34Speaker 1: a fortune. They'll pay like, you know, twenty five fifty
- 5:37Speaker 1: thousand for a week to rent the house. So anybody
- 5:40Speaker 1: who lives like right on the right next to the
- 5:42Speaker 1: country club has been doing this for years. Well at
- 5:44Speaker 1: MetLife Stadium, anybody living within twenty minutes of the same
- 5:48Speaker 1: same thing. Players, teams, they all want to rent houses
- 5:51Speaker 1: to stay in and here's some people, in fact, some
- 5:56Speaker 1: of them spend a lot of money cleaning up their house,
- 5:58Speaker 1: getting it ready. So these become the most expensive airbnbs,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and you could get maybe forty five thousand, rent your
- 6:05Speaker 1: house out for a few days, a few weeks, forty
- 6:08Speaker 1: five thousands. A lot of people doing that around MetLife Stadium. Hey,
- 6:13Speaker 1: Jerry Seinfeld, you saw him at the NIXT game and
- 6:15Speaker 1: when Larry David saw him smiling, laughing, just laughing with
- 6:19Speaker 1: each other. But Seinfeld a recent interview said, whenever he
- 6:23Speaker 1: gets together with Larry David, he said, Larry gets pretty
- 6:26Speaker 1: fired up about politics. When he's having dinner with me
- 6:29Speaker 1: or friends. He gets so fired up, he said, but
- 6:32Speaker 1: he keeps everything funny, you know his angle, the things
- 6:36Speaker 1: he notices. But he does get crazy talking about politics.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And as I keep telling everybody, I know, you got
- 6:43Speaker 1: friends who are crazy, left wingers, crazy, don't talk about it,
- 6:48Speaker 1: don't talk about politics. You know, I like the Yankees,
- 6:51Speaker 1: somebody else likes the Mets. There's no point in arguing
- 6:54Speaker 1: about it. You're not going to convince them. You're not
- 6:56Speaker 1: going to change their mind. And you know, Larry David
- 7:00Speaker 1: lived with RFK Junior for a year during the pandemic.
- 7:05Speaker 1: These two guys RFK jor Larry David lived in a
- 7:08Speaker 1: house together alone for the lockdown the pandemic Martha's Vineyard.
- 7:15Speaker 1: They lived together like the odd couple. I don't know
- 7:18Speaker 1: who's Felix. Well, I guess Bobby Kennedy would be Felix
- 7:21Speaker 1: in that situation. But that's how RFK Junior met Cheryl
- 7:26Speaker 1: Hines through living with Larry David, and they ended up
- 7:31Speaker 1: dating and getting married, and it drove Larry David nuts.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And that's why he created that Ted Danson character in
- 7:39Speaker 1: Curb Your Enthusiasm. It was based on RFK Junior taking
- 7:43Speaker 1: Cheryl Hines away from Larry David. And that's exactly what
- 7:48Speaker 1: happened in KERB that whole season of Ted David dating
- 7:51Speaker 1: his ex wife. So let me see, can I do?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Can I even talk about this? Well, apparently it's a
- 7:59Speaker 1: big thing in the Hampton. You know, they go crazy
- 8:02Speaker 1: for facelifts, they get their lips puffed up, they get botox,
- 8:07Speaker 1: the latest thing and what I call this, it's a
- 8:13Speaker 1: tightening of the vagina. There's a couple of doctors have
- 8:19Speaker 1: figured out some procedure to do this Apparently it's the
- 8:22Speaker 1: hottest thing in the Hamptons. All these women are doing it,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you know. Apparently they're paying twenty five thousand each for this.
- 8:30Speaker 1: These guys, I don't know. It doesn't say exactly what
- 8:32Speaker 1: they do, and I don't want to know. But the
- 8:34Speaker 1: big thing now is house calls. They'll come to your house.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And there's some Arabs who show up in the Hamptons
- 8:40Speaker 1: on a yacht with the multiple wives and pay a
- 8:44Speaker 1: lot of money for these doctors to make a yacht
- 8:46Speaker 1: call and take care of a few women at once. Now,
- 8:50Speaker 1: apparently everybody in the Hamptons knows these doctors and who
- 8:53Speaker 1: they are and what they do, so a lot of
- 8:55Speaker 1: people don't want to have anybody see the doctor making
- 8:57Speaker 1: the house call. So the doctor said, this one patient
- 9:02Speaker 1: didn't want me coming in the front where the neighbors
- 9:04Speaker 1: or anybody would see, so they sent a boat for
- 9:07Speaker 1: me to pick me up, and the boat would dock
- 9:11Speaker 1: in the dock behind the house so nobody could see
- 9:13Speaker 1: it for the street. But that's the kind of stuff
- 9:15Speaker 1: they do out there. Hey, they're all excited to the Hampton's.
- 9:19Speaker 1: The first one has opened pop up bagels. They never
- 9:22Speaker 1: had pop up bagels before now, if you're in New
- 9:25Speaker 1: York City, all you got H and H Bagels, you
- 9:28Speaker 1: got Essa Bagel, you got all the great bagel places.
- 9:31Speaker 1: There's a million of them. There's Utopia Bagels and Queens,
- 9:35Speaker 1: considered by many to be the best bagel in New
- 9:37Speaker 1: York for it's way on Bayside. Queens. Utopia Bagels. They
- 9:41Speaker 1: are now opening all over the place. They just opened
- 9:44Speaker 1: the second one in Manhattan. There's one on thirty fourth Street.
- 9:47Speaker 1: There's now a new one in fifty third Street. So
- 9:50Speaker 1: you see these bagel places springing up all over the place.
- 9:53Speaker 1: But pop up bagels came along a couple of years ago.
- 9:56Speaker 1: They're really good. They're a little different. They're a little
- 9:58Speaker 1: smaller and fluffy, and they got all these great gimmicks,
- 10:02Speaker 1: like you can't buy one, you have to buy twelve.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I think now they'll let you buy three. They got
- 10:08Speaker 1: the most incredible cream cheese spreads, you know, all kinds
- 10:11Speaker 1: of flavors. The new one is chocolate chip cookie cream cheese.
- 10:15Speaker 1: But they really pop up bagels. It really is good.
- 10:17Speaker 1: So it was a couple of young guys started this,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I think in Connecticut, and then they open in New
- 10:22Speaker 1: York and there's a few of them. Well now they're
- 10:23Speaker 1: opening hundreds of them all over the place. You see
- 10:26Speaker 1: this with some other chains. Why is that hedge funds
- 10:30Speaker 1: are doing this? A lot of these hedge funds find
- 10:33Speaker 1: one of these things that's really great, like pop up bagels,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and then they'll put in a couple one hundred million
- 10:38Speaker 1: and pay for them to open all over the place.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So you just got one in West Hampton. They're all
- 10:45Speaker 1: lined up waiting to get in there, and you'll see
- 10:47Speaker 1: them all over the place. And then these hedge fund
- 10:49Speaker 1: guys go around looking for another another something that they
- 10:52Speaker 1: can open up all over the place and they'll kick
- 10:55Speaker 1: in hundreds of millions for each one. So you know
- 11:00Speaker 1: the Knicksery. If they don't win the series this weekend,
- 11:05Speaker 1: they'll have to come back to New York. But a
- 11:07Speaker 1: lot of people were very unhappy about the security, including
- 11:10Speaker 1: the owner James Dolen. He wasn't so thrilled about it.
- 11:13Speaker 1: They went really crazy with the frozen zone and everything.
- 11:16Speaker 1: But even Madison Square Garden got a little crazy. I
- 11:18Speaker 1: guess it was when the president was their TSA style
- 11:21Speaker 1: screening and then no bag policy. Women couldn't bring a purse,
- 11:25Speaker 1: no bag of any kind, which really annoyed a lot
- 11:29Speaker 1: of people. But listen, you can't argue they're doing great.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It's an incredible moment. Hey, we were talking on the
- 11:36Speaker 1: show this week about Taylor Swift coming to Madison Square
- 11:39Speaker 1: Garden for the championship game, and some think she was
- 11:43Speaker 1: there checking it out because it looks like that's where
- 11:46Speaker 1: she's going to do the wedding with Travis Kelcey. That's
- 11:50Speaker 1: right at Madison Square Garden. They're putting out some story
- 11:54Speaker 1: about it. It's the only place that would have proper security.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Well that's not true. You know, she's very publicity minded.
- 11:59Speaker 1: She looks for every publicity gimmicks she could come up with.
- 12:01Speaker 1: So that's probably what it's really all about. Now the garden.
- 12:08Speaker 1: If you want to rent the garden, it's usually a
- 12:10Speaker 1: million to two million to rent it. But she's going
- 12:15Speaker 1: to do it like around the fourth of July, and
- 12:16Speaker 1: apparently there are no events scheduled first week of July.
- 12:20Speaker 1: No events are scheduled at the garden, So it's open
- 12:23Speaker 1: rumor is she's taken it. Not to do this, you
- 12:27Speaker 1: got to bring in these wedding planners. They got to
- 12:29Speaker 1: decorate the place and anything that huge. You know, normally
- 12:33Speaker 1: you can spend like a million dollars on a huge
- 12:36Speaker 1: wedding decorations, top of the line stuff. But some event
- 12:40Speaker 1: planners say to do all the Madison Square garden. You
- 12:42Speaker 1: could be talking about ten million to even twenty million
- 12:44Speaker 1: to do this. Now she's a billionaire and she could
- 12:47Speaker 1: do this, So keep an eye on that. It could
- 12:50Speaker 1: be Madison Square Garden. Hey, Huntington, I love Huntington. Got
- 12:55Speaker 1: a lot of great places out there. You got Prime,
- 12:57Speaker 1: you got Postopazzo, you got a million in great restaurants,
- 13:00Speaker 1: you got the Paramount. There's a McDonald's they want to open,
- 13:04Speaker 1: actually in Greenlawn, which is right next to Huntington Town.
- 13:08Speaker 1: But in Greenlawn they're going to open a big McDonald's
- 13:12Speaker 1: drive through. The residents are protesting. They want to stop it.
- 13:16Speaker 1: They said, too much traffic, odor, environmental impact, it doesn't
- 13:23Speaker 1: fit the character of our neighborhood. It's McDonald's, it's a
- 13:26Speaker 1: great odor. I'd love smelling those the big arch. I
- 13:30Speaker 1: love that new burger there. But protests everywhere. Hey, we're
- 13:33Speaker 1: out of time, but thanks for listening. This has been
- 13:36Speaker 1: the bonus segment of the podcast Glad you listen. You
- 13:39Speaker 1: can listen live ten to noon every weekday, or the podcast,
- 13:42Speaker 1: which obviously you know because you're here, but Mark Simone here,
- 13:46Speaker 1: I'll talk to you Monday. Thanks for being with us.
