- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of Eating While Broke. Today we
- 0:03Speaker 1: have special guests Keith there in the building. Also known
- 0:06Speaker 1: as Chef Ocho. He's the owner of All Flavor and
- 0:09Speaker 1: No Grease. He was born and raised in Watts, California,
- 0:12Speaker 1: and has been on some of the world's biggest platforms
- 0:15Speaker 1: such as The Steve Harvey Show, Disney, and BuzzFeed, to
- 0:19Speaker 1: name a few. Today, you are cooking for us on
- 0:21Speaker 1: the Eating Wall Broke Show. So what do you have
- 0:24Speaker 1: me eating today? Well, well, good morning chef from All Flavor,
- 0:28Speaker 1: No Grease, and today we'll be preparing what I'll call
- 0:31Speaker 1: a scalleur sanwich scowlet sandwich. Will start with a lightly
- 0:35Speaker 1: toasted white piece of toast. Then we'll put a little
- 0:38Speaker 1: bit of salami on there with some American cheese, and
- 0:41Speaker 1: then we're gonna have an egg a little bit over easy.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I want to touch a miracle up and a dab
- 0:45Speaker 1: a mustard and hey, it's gonna be great broken. Yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 1: and you you speak like a real chef too. Yes,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I feel like I'm in for a good tree. So
- 0:55Speaker 1: just for all y'all listeners. Usually I don't grade the
- 0:58Speaker 1: dish too hard, but late me I've been feeling in
- 1:01Speaker 1: the mood to judge the dishes, So I'm gonna keep
- 1:03Speaker 1: it all the way real. What y'all to tell you?
- 1:07Speaker 1: If you know, you should probably be making this for
- 1:10Speaker 1: breakfast tomorrow morning? Okay, So while you cook me a dish,
- 1:15Speaker 1: I want to know where did where were you? What
- 1:17Speaker 1: were you doing? And where were you when you were
- 1:19Speaker 1: eating sandwiches like this? Can I get crack get cracking hard?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Where I was when I first? How could I discover
- 1:30Speaker 1: this fabulous cuisine? I was actually about eleven years old
- 1:36Speaker 1: at my mom's dad and it was towards the end
- 1:41Speaker 1: of the month. It wasn't much left an refrigerator, So
- 1:43Speaker 1: it's like, I'm still hungry, So what do we gonna eat?
- 1:46Speaker 1: So it's like you got top ramen in there, you
- 1:49Speaker 1: got some bologna, where you got the little red thing
- 1:51Speaker 1: you pull off with your teeth on there, you got
- 1:54Speaker 1: some salami, Keep eggs in their eggs and milk that
- 1:57Speaker 1: normally staying in refrigerator. Keep a little butter or margarine.
- 2:00Speaker 1: A lot of times you couldn't find a lot of
- 2:01Speaker 1: noids in the house. So I actually brought back mermories
- 2:04Speaker 1: just using a fork. Oh we have that butter knife
- 2:08Speaker 1: most cool, so you're really trying to do it. By
- 2:13Speaker 1: the way, for all our guests that aren't watching the show,
- 2:15Speaker 1: he'll walk you through what he's doing. So right now
- 2:18Speaker 1: you're right now, I'm lightly buttering are white toast? Let
- 2:22Speaker 1: me so we got a slight little crisp on there.
- 2:24Speaker 1: If your sandwich get scanling sandwich? I like how you
- 2:29Speaker 1: call it a sandwich? Yeah it is, That's what it's
- 2:31Speaker 1: gonna be. You hear me? You get that might be toasted,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I mean buttered up right there. So you're eleven years
- 2:37Speaker 1: old and you're handling the stove. Yes, I used always
- 2:41Speaker 1: just going to kitchen and just look at my pops
- 2:43Speaker 1: like this while he was making everything, And I'm like,
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna go in there and make something that I
- 2:46Speaker 1: know I can't burn up, but it still feel like
- 2:48Speaker 1: I'm cooking. So hey, you hear the salami sissling like this,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I'm cooking now? Really? And you where are your parents
- 3:01Speaker 1: when you're over there playing chef? Oh? Probably sleep. My
- 3:06Speaker 1: mom doesn't wake up and be like, Sammuel, what are
- 3:08Speaker 1: you doing? You're not making no cereal? I'm eating some
- 3:12Speaker 1: hot Yeah. By the way, who got this salami? Uh
- 3:16Speaker 1: yeah I did. I didn't. Great, it's the wrong one,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but that's cool, and you gotta be scarling you feel
- 3:23Speaker 1: me and push it down with your hand, like so,
- 3:24Speaker 1: can you describe this ALLOMMI I was supposed to get,
- 3:27Speaker 1: apposed to one? I got? Okay, the salammie that you
- 3:29Speaker 1: were supposed to get, it's actually about six inches circular
- 3:32Speaker 1: like this, with a gang of big black peppercorns in
- 3:34Speaker 1: there and a little bit of fat in there, tooth.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And then these are how would you describe these in comparisons?
- 3:43Speaker 1: These are your dainty uh zinish pieces of salaman. That's
- 3:50Speaker 1: what you put on crackers. Hunt, I'd agree, but you
- 3:52Speaker 1: saysling pretty good over here, so you probably got a
- 3:54Speaker 1: little action. I feel like if I was trapped on
- 3:57Speaker 1: a desert island, I would eat very well with you,
- 4:00Speaker 1: because you were making it work, even though I totally
- 4:03Speaker 1: didn't get to the ingredients you I was supposed to get. Now,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I was trying to add your egg in there real quick.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You're gonna cook the salami with you, tell me, that's
- 4:11Speaker 1: why it's called a scalless. So now you're gonna put
- 4:16Speaker 1: your salami to the side, don't you gonna have him together,
- 4:19Speaker 1: team work. So he's cooking the salami in butter. Uh,
- 4:24Speaker 1: a little bit of butter, and you keep the salami
- 4:27Speaker 1: in there so it could get something a little bit
- 4:28Speaker 1: of the fat from the salami and the skillet as
- 4:31Speaker 1: well with the butter flavor for the egg. Don't have
- 4:33Speaker 1: to use too many seasons. Everything you're scalless. O scalless. Okay, there,
- 4:40Speaker 1: everything scannless. I'm with it. Everything scalless, everything scalless. All right,
- 4:45Speaker 1: So this dish is originating from your finding random ingredients
- 4:49Speaker 1: in your kitchen without trying to burn down the house.
- 4:52Speaker 1: And that's all we got. Nice And your dad was
- 4:55Speaker 1: the chef at home, not your mom. Yeah, the primary
- 4:59Speaker 1: chef my mom. We'll see this, but I'm not tripping.
- 5:04Speaker 1: She only was making spaghetti and hamburgers at first until
- 5:08Speaker 1: my pops came around, and then he actually elevated her
- 5:10Speaker 1: whole millinery palette. Okay. So, and was your pops like
- 5:14Speaker 1: a chef in real life or that was only a
- 5:19Speaker 1: chef in the one of the state penitentiaries used the
- 5:23Speaker 1: top chef in there though. Oh is that what he
- 5:26Speaker 1: Oh that's where he was a chef side like that boom,
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yoka like that. Everybody don't like a fat yo, so
- 5:34Speaker 1: you got to kind of bust it down in there.
- 5:35Speaker 1: So the mixing boom, how did you get that there?
- 5:40Speaker 1: She like, what is he doing for to get it together? Rightly? Lightly?
- 5:43Speaker 1: The studio smells great? Okay, cool. So your pops is
- 5:47Speaker 1: a chef in Madsted. So he was a chef in
- 5:51Speaker 1: the prison for down cor and you said, in the penitentiary, yes,
- 5:58Speaker 1: ma'am okay, and then he come home cook for you guys.
- 6:01Speaker 1: In addition to cooking at no while he was spending
- 6:06Speaker 1: his time in there, he became one of the chefs
- 6:08Speaker 1: in the penitentiary. He was spending time in the correct
- 6:11Speaker 1: oh twists. Yeah. So then he gets out and then
- 6:16Speaker 1: he takes his culinary skill set to you guys. More.
- 6:20Speaker 1: We think that my dad already knew how to cook
- 6:22Speaker 1: and whip up, so he just went in there and
- 6:25Speaker 1: um made his surroundings adapt to him where it's more comfortable.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So it's like instead of just sitting in the cell
- 6:34Speaker 1: all day long, it's like, okay, let him know, I
- 6:36Speaker 1: know how to cook. So now you're cooking for all
- 6:38Speaker 1: the wardens and sheriffs and the police. In there, and
- 6:40Speaker 1: you don't even have to go cook for all the inmates. Wow, sine,
- 6:43Speaker 1: So it was actually kind of a perk. So he
- 6:45Speaker 1: didn't cook for the inmate. Correct did not. And while
- 6:49Speaker 1: all this is going on, you're at home cooking or
- 6:53Speaker 1: you're are you starting to dab inge cooking yet until
- 6:57Speaker 1: you Yeah, the first dish I ever made, being honest,
- 7:00Speaker 1: we're deviled eggs. That's my favorite. Why do we have
- 7:04Speaker 1: deviled eggs day? I didn't know that I love deviled
- 7:08Speaker 1: eggs because that was my first dish ever even thought
- 7:12Speaker 1: to even put on the stove. So now we're coming
- 7:15Speaker 1: to davil, little mustard on the first toasted one. Okay,
- 7:21Speaker 1: looking good over there. Okay, okay, we move you to
- 7:23Speaker 1: the side. Remember everything, Scar, It looks like it doesn't
- 7:27Speaker 1: take that long to make this, don't. That's why I
- 7:29Speaker 1: was in and out before my mom was smelling anything
- 7:31Speaker 1: in the kitchen. Okay, fel So, I'm not trying to detour,
- 7:37Speaker 1: but I heard that your first entrepreneur startup was you
- 7:40Speaker 1: were making You were selling case of dias in your
- 7:42Speaker 1: mom's front yard. Boss, Okay, the first entrepreneurial endeavor was
- 7:49Speaker 1: selling candy at school from the sixth grade to high school. However,
- 7:54Speaker 1: I didn't get paid for that. I was actually told
- 7:57Speaker 1: that I was going to get a car, actually two cars.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It was a great buddy of mine and he promised
- 8:02Speaker 1: me those two cars. And I'm still waiting for him
- 8:05Speaker 1: till today. So it's it's it was a learning experience,
- 8:10Speaker 1: I'll say, because I learned how to be an excellent entrepreneur.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry for the egg to touch the first part
- 8:15Speaker 1: of the toast, okay, and then put these back and
- 8:20Speaker 1: here just for a second to warm them up. You're
- 8:22Speaker 1: getting a little bit softer. And um, after I got
- 8:27Speaker 1: out of high school, I still didn't have my car.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So then I so, you're selling candy this whole time,
- 8:34Speaker 1: waiting for the homie, and you're giving him the money
- 8:37Speaker 1: every single day, and he promises you a car. How
- 8:40Speaker 1: much candy were you selling every day? For sure? For
- 8:43Speaker 1: sure at very minimal a hundred dollars of candy a day, Like, yeah,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I was getting reported in you feel me? And then
- 8:55Speaker 1: after I report that in, it's like, I'm gonna give
- 8:58Speaker 1: me this car. That's the only thing I'm thinking. I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: gonna get a car. I'm gonna get a car. Yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 1: car still never came. I mean, you gotta share these tacks. Man. Oh,
- 9:09Speaker 1: this right here, this is how we could have milk
- 9:10Speaker 1: that cheese real fast. So that's fine. He just took
- 9:15Speaker 1: some water for everyone listening, and he put a little
- 9:18Speaker 1: dab of water in the pan while it was hot,
- 9:20Speaker 1: and he put the cheese on top of the salami.
- 9:22Speaker 1: He put a plate to kind of I guess keep
- 9:24Speaker 1: the steam inside. Correct. I wish y'all could see what
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm seeing, but I'm trying to describe it for y'all
- 9:32Speaker 1: because everything scalless, everything scanless, and the cheese melting totally works. Okay.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's your steam bouncing off the plate into the skillet
- 9:40Speaker 1: and also the heat and as it goes up and down,
- 9:42Speaker 1: it's gonna melt your cheese. Simple and it doesn't take over.
- 9:47Speaker 1: That was about twenty seconds. So you don't bring your
- 9:49Speaker 1: hand or anything. Yeah, we're ready. So how do you
- 9:54Speaker 1: go from selling candy? I understand you didn't get the
- 9:56Speaker 1: car to to to becoming chef? Oh show all flavor,
- 10:01Speaker 1: no Greece, like you gotta make two two of these?
- 10:06Speaker 1: You know that? Right? Is everything scaled? Okay? Um? So
- 10:14Speaker 1: boom candy game stop when I was actually went on
- 10:19Speaker 1: hiatus when I was in about the twelfth grade. After
- 10:21Speaker 1: twelfth grade, got out of school, I liked weed. We
- 10:25Speaker 1: were so intriguing to me. I started to sell weed.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So came the street pharmacists for a few years. So
- 10:31Speaker 1: we was intriguing because you liked how it's sold or
- 10:34Speaker 1: you liked how it felt. Both. Okay, so it's like
- 10:38Speaker 1: get your sack, get your money back, and then you're
- 10:40Speaker 1: getting high for free base. But I got tired of
- 10:43Speaker 1: that because I didn't see like, you know, four or
- 10:45Speaker 1: one K and that after a while, so I'm like,
- 10:48Speaker 1: I have to do something that it's gonna give me
- 10:50Speaker 1: some money that time. And you know about four one K? Yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I know about a retirement plan. Okay, I'm like, I
- 10:59Speaker 1: know I'm one of these. You need to cook way
- 11:02Speaker 1: more than this. You sure you know you don't even
- 11:04Speaker 1: know if you're gonna like I can I can look
- 11:06Speaker 1: at it. Let me tell you something. I can look
- 11:10Speaker 1: at this dish and tell you I can eat like
- 11:12Speaker 1: four of these sandwiches. It is. I want to bite
- 11:16Speaker 1: it right now. I can't please feed, just give me half.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It looks so good. I want to take scanless and
- 11:27Speaker 1: scanless everything. It looks so scanless. Okay, I gotta stand
- 11:32Speaker 1: up because this is so good. And you only cook
- 11:35Speaker 1: one sandwich. I don't know why he saw two places
- 11:37Speaker 1: and only cook one sandwich. All I think he thinks
- 11:40Speaker 1: Bronna diet on this show. But I'm gonna make him
- 11:42Speaker 1: cook throughout the rest of this interview. While I eat,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I said I was starving. Okay, here we go. Everything scles, yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 1: here we go, Thank you very much. All right, I
- 11:55Speaker 1: gotta try this. So you're starving? Mm hmm, oh my god,
- 12:05Speaker 1: don't lie. Tell it true. I ain't gonna lie. This
- 12:10Speaker 1: is bomb. It's amazing and I don't really even mess
- 12:16Speaker 1: with white bread. But I get why do you chose
- 12:17Speaker 1: white bread? Would you like to DJ Kellen have me
- 12:21Speaker 1: make another one? Can you make the rest of these?
- 12:27Speaker 1: You know what? I'm just gonna describe why it's all
- 12:29Speaker 1: great real quick. It's the salami is like a salty,
- 12:35Speaker 1: you know, very salty, and with the egg and the
- 12:37Speaker 1: bread being soft, it's and then the cheese melts. It's
- 12:43Speaker 1: simply amazing. I would I would buy this for breakfast.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I would I would pay like five six books for
- 12:47Speaker 1: this the whole combination of flavor. It's like all flavor.
- 12:53Speaker 1: It's really delicious. And for all your listeners when you
- 12:58Speaker 1: listen to the podcast in the morning, I suggest you
- 13:00Speaker 1: make this scandless sandwich. Yeah, that's what I like to hear,
- 13:03Speaker 1: everything scanless. That and its meal isn't expensive at all.
- 13:09Speaker 1: So how do you transition from a street pharmacists to
- 13:17Speaker 1: all flavor and no grace? God expelled? Actually, actually, um,
- 13:31Speaker 1: I prayed about it because I'm like, keep it real,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm tired of this ship. I'm only selling weed to
- 13:39Speaker 1: get high, and that was starting to get irritating to
- 13:43Speaker 1: me because you're just selling it to get high where
- 13:46Speaker 1: you weren't making a profit barely. See, I think I
- 13:49Speaker 1: think that's so true. I don't think pharmacists on the
- 13:52Speaker 1: street really make that much for going for wheat. For oh,
- 13:56Speaker 1: for other drugs. I didn't say that, but for wheat.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Don't you fail me unless you're dumping enormous amount, like
- 14:06Speaker 1: on a very very very very very consistent basis. And
- 14:11Speaker 1: once I see that I wasn't gonna transition into that,
- 14:15Speaker 1: I said, okay, God, I need something better to do
- 14:18Speaker 1: straight up, So small still voice came to me and said,
- 14:22Speaker 1: do what you learned how to doing school? So I
- 14:24Speaker 1: laughed because I was fat, stanky, wearing hand me down
- 14:29Speaker 1: clothes and ship. I didn't really even like going to
- 14:31Speaker 1: school like that. The only reason why I like going
- 14:33Speaker 1: to school was for for a band, because I'm a
- 14:36Speaker 1: musician as well, and like I said, to make homies,
- 14:39Speaker 1: make friends and ship. So I was a very loquacious
- 14:42Speaker 1: and people person, so it wasn't hard to spark conversation
- 14:44Speaker 1: to be cool with somebody, but it was only gonna
- 14:46Speaker 1: last so long because it's like he's standing this closely
- 14:49Speaker 1: cool as ship, but he staked. So after I got
- 14:53Speaker 1: out of high school, because I did, I was musty,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I was much bigger. It's like you gotta heavy. God,
- 15:01Speaker 1: they've got could hold a lot of sweat, you feel me,
- 15:04Speaker 1: especially if you're trying to keep yourself up and then
- 15:06Speaker 1: you just you can't. So anyways, after hold on trying
- 15:14Speaker 1: not to burn up the real quick, I'm not even
- 15:15Speaker 1: gonna SENDMI interrupt you while you put this deliciousness. Just
- 15:19Speaker 1: scand this deliciousness. Okay, So after after I got out
- 15:25Speaker 1: of high school and I started over on A hundred
- 15:28Speaker 1: and eight, which is the hood, my neighborhood where I
- 15:31Speaker 1: was born and raised, that I still didn't care about
- 15:35Speaker 1: my parents that much. So then I used to just
- 15:39Speaker 1: come outside, sweat T shirt and on I'm sell awe now.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But like I said, I got tired of that. Then
- 15:45Speaker 1: after I prayed about that, I'm my Lord, help me.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I need something better to do. He said, do what
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know how to do in school. I'm like, I
- 15:50Speaker 1: don't think I learned how to do in school with
- 15:51Speaker 1: sell candy and make friends to open up a candy house.
- 15:54Speaker 1: So I'm like, right, So I asked my mom real quick,
- 15:58Speaker 1: and I opened up a candy house. She knew what
- 16:01Speaker 1: I was doing, so she just didn't want me to
- 16:04Speaker 1: do that anymore. So she's like, I don't care. So
- 16:06Speaker 1: within the first three months, the candy house got the
- 16:10Speaker 1: cracking you feel me. So after the candy house get cracking,
- 16:14Speaker 1: she like, uh, go get the sellers permit. She's like,
- 16:16Speaker 1: if you don't get a sellers permit, I'm gonna shut
- 16:18Speaker 1: it down because by this time, I'm selling Snickers, Recy's twigs,
- 16:21Speaker 1: kid cat crack the kids. Where where is this candy out?
- 16:25Speaker 1: And my mom a front yard, I mean her front room,
- 16:28Speaker 1: in her living room, and I was like, how close
- 16:29Speaker 1: were you to the school to be able to do this? Ship? Uh?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Not even a half a mile? About a quartermain, I
- 16:38Speaker 1: was walking to school every day. You get your sellers,
- 16:42Speaker 1: I get my sellers, permitte. So now the hood cracking.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I got the candy house going, got chili dogs, nachos,
- 16:51Speaker 1: pickles were cool aid like I said, just I got
- 16:53Speaker 1: it cracking. So now what was next? I go down
- 16:57Speaker 1: the street. We're chilling, like four or five thick, me
- 16:59Speaker 1: and some and they make a fat joke. They're like,
- 17:02Speaker 1: get your father's done there selling candy, you might as
- 17:04Speaker 1: well start felling to selling tacos. And they laughed about it.
- 17:07Speaker 1: But I thought, like that was a fucking bright idea.
- 17:11Speaker 1: How like he right, I could elevate the million a
- 17:13Speaker 1: little bit. He's like, go sell them like how to U?
- 17:16Speaker 1: How to Mesican? Sell them? But sell him like your
- 17:18Speaker 1: mama make them letters, tomatoes, cheese, so cream, catch up
- 17:20Speaker 1: hour sauce. I should gonna be bum So your mama
- 17:23Speaker 1: CoA cook? Look, you said, don't talk trained. So once
- 17:28Speaker 1: um they said that I capitalized on the joke. They
- 17:33Speaker 1: said that one Friday I didn't one Tuesday, it was
- 17:36Speaker 1: a success. I actually made a fifty bucks profit. And
- 17:41Speaker 1: I looked at the fifty bucks. It was like, I
- 17:43Speaker 1: didn't just like this. I said, I'm gonna blow this up.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't. Took a fifty dollar double up
- 17:50Speaker 1: with some some some work before and then it took
- 17:52Speaker 1: forever to try to make this money. And I said,
- 17:54Speaker 1: I just did this in two hours with some ground beef,
- 17:57Speaker 1: ground turkey, and some shredded chicken bread tacos. Try to
- 18:00Speaker 1: get in the following week success, I made seventy three bucks.
- 18:05Speaker 1: So now I'm thinking, I'm like, this's gonna be something.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That's all. I thought, like, this's gonna be something what
- 18:09Speaker 1: I don't know? See everything scamer, she I gotta rub
- 18:12Speaker 1: it together. Yeah, everything scammer. So I love I love
- 18:18Speaker 1: everything you're doing right now. So um after after where
- 18:24Speaker 1: we are at the Candy has to Taco joke, after
- 18:27Speaker 1: the tacos became a hit because everybody bit on it like,
- 18:32Speaker 1: oh Sam Damn got tacos. Seven Han got tacos. So
- 18:36Speaker 1: now that's cracking. So now I get inspired to make
- 18:39Speaker 1: an Instagram page. Before that even come the name of flavor,
- 18:43Speaker 1: no grease job came in a dream promised to God.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Like I woke up like three in the morning and
- 18:48Speaker 1: just said all flavor, no grease. And I asked my said,
- 18:52Speaker 1: what is that so my mom? She would get irritated
- 18:55Speaker 1: if you go wake her up out of her sleep.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I jotted to the to the back room. And then
- 19:03Speaker 1: as I walked to the back room, I woke my mom, like, Mama,
- 19:06Speaker 1: all flavor, no Greece. First thing she said, not boy,
- 19:09Speaker 1: get your ass out of here. None of that was.
- 19:11Speaker 1: She said, that's catchy. I said, I'm on this something.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So then I was inspired to make an Instagram page. Boom.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I was only inspired to make three. I mean to
- 19:21Speaker 1: promote three things, food, God, and positivity. I said, that's easy.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Promote food, get a good camera, good angles, great dish God.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I go to church every Sunday, put an inspirational text
- 19:35Speaker 1: up with a nice little picture, said God, bless you.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I mean, And then I said positivity, that's the challenge.
- 19:42Speaker 1: How will you do that? Sam? I said, all right,
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna reach out to all different walks of life, white, black, agent, doctors, lawyers, police.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I don't care who you are and I don't want
- 19:55Speaker 1: nothing from you, but for you to come and try
- 19:58Speaker 1: to food and tell a friend and you feel me,
- 20:01Speaker 1: just come back only if you like it. And my
- 20:05Speaker 1: pitch was thanks for coming to off Flavor No Greece.
- 20:08Speaker 1: We hope that you enjoy the food. If you enjoy
- 20:10Speaker 1: the food, we asked that you leave a comment our post.
- 20:12Speaker 1: It's worth more than a tip. Please tell the tag
- 20:14Speaker 1: a friend and most importantly, please come back again. And
- 20:17Speaker 1: you'll be surprised. Who has a big following that's coming
- 20:22Speaker 1: to support you. You can pop up out the blue.
- 20:25Speaker 1: You got like seven million followers, but she brought you
- 20:27Speaker 1: through that only guy like two hundred. But she's like
- 20:30Speaker 1: a girl. I want you to taste these tacos. You
- 20:33Speaker 1: come over, you lose your mind. The best tacos. Now
- 20:36Speaker 1: what you're doing? I just came to the East South
- 20:39Speaker 1: East Fire Tactos. Now the following just starts to grow
- 20:42Speaker 1: and grow and grow. So everything was really done organically,
- 20:46Speaker 1: but the grind you just took time. So how old
- 20:55Speaker 1: are you and this is all going on because it
- 20:57Speaker 1: seems like you're extreme level of youngness. I started ten
- 21:03Speaker 1: years ago, wow, ten years ago, and during your whole
- 21:09Speaker 1: journey it sounds like one one ft led to another.
- 21:12Speaker 1: But I'm sure there were points where it wasn't easy.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Like when you're talking expansion, I would have guessed because
- 21:20Speaker 1: your food typen. Now, you know right, It actually never
- 21:26Speaker 1: ever ever suspected that it was going to even go
- 21:29Speaker 1: this far. It was only wow, everything scounled you was
- 21:33Speaker 1: to play, but it never was suspected to go this far.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I always thought that the candy house and everything was
- 21:39Speaker 1: just finish cleaning up. No one ever cleans on this show.
- 21:45Speaker 1: But but I appreciate, but because I'm sorry, I just
- 21:48Speaker 1: had to shout that afterwards. I just I looked at
- 21:50Speaker 1: it as a small hustle. I just knew that I
- 21:52Speaker 1: was tired of, like I said, set a way and stuff,
- 21:55Speaker 1: and I knew that I wanted to do better. I
- 21:57Speaker 1: knew I wanted more, and I said, it's not gonna
- 22:00Speaker 1: think with me selling. So when I started to push
- 22:03Speaker 1: the line with the full open doors that I never
- 22:06Speaker 1: thought in life, interviews everything, and it made it even
- 22:10Speaker 1: better once the following reached past ten thousand and then
- 22:17Speaker 1: the interviews started coming from everywhere, The people start coming
- 22:21Speaker 1: from everywhere, and it's just been a like a little
- 22:25Speaker 1: engine that could going up the hill. Like he's catching
- 22:28Speaker 1: a little momentum. He's trying. He's not really going backwards,
- 22:31Speaker 1: but it's like he's struggling. But one thing the little
- 22:34Speaker 1: engine never could, thank you Lord. One thing he never
- 22:36Speaker 1: did was stopped. He never gave up, no matter how
- 22:40Speaker 1: much gas, no matter how much, but he just kept
- 22:42Speaker 1: going and ship. I did the same thing today, and
- 22:45Speaker 1: there were no points where there was like, I feel
- 22:52Speaker 1: like you're full of faith. But was there any point
- 22:54Speaker 1: where you were like, oh, this is a very uncomfortable
- 22:57Speaker 1: position or a type position you didn't know what to do? Hell,
- 23:00Speaker 1: yeah I was. I was setting away with my boy Busy,
- 23:04Speaker 1: the one who the manager on my food truck today.
- 23:07Speaker 1: But I'm gonna show you how you respect the grind
- 23:11Speaker 1: boom while I was getting money with him. At first,
- 23:13Speaker 1: when I told him like all right, bro, I'm going
- 23:15Speaker 1: to leave it alone, like I'm gonna really really really
- 23:18Speaker 1: really really hanging up, he like, like you at the
- 23:21Speaker 1: stop said the week like this, this is not like that,
- 23:23Speaker 1: this is what we do. So I'm like, no, bro,
- 23:25Speaker 1: I'm really serious. So once he's seen that I was
- 23:28Speaker 1: really sincere bout what I was talking about, he would
- 23:31Speaker 1: come over with his little couple leaning ship for me.
- 23:34Speaker 1: He had come over send me to be get some
- 23:35Speaker 1: of the tacos. So he was supporting. But anytime that
- 23:38Speaker 1: I needed a little extra help, boo, let me hold
- 23:41Speaker 1: fifty real quick so I can make sure I got
- 23:42Speaker 1: enough meat for tomorrow here. Then I'll go back and
- 23:45Speaker 1: tear it off right that same night soon as I
- 23:47Speaker 1: make it back. So once he's seen, hey, thank you lord.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Once he's seen that, all flavor was starting to catch
- 23:56Speaker 1: a little traction, he was like, all right, he our kids.
- 24:01Speaker 1: So he was like, he came to me, he said,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I want to be down with you. I'm like, you bullshit.
- 24:09Speaker 1: You're like, I'm for real. He's like, I see exactly
- 24:14Speaker 1: what you did. He said, you stopped, you were serious,
- 24:18Speaker 1: and you made it make sense. He was like the
- 24:21Speaker 1: weed game a going, like they had no more for us,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and you know that. I said, it's been stoff for me.
- 24:26Speaker 1: So he like, give me a chance. Mind you, my
- 24:30Speaker 1: boy a little slower and everything, but I gave him
- 24:32Speaker 1: a chance, though, feel me. So people out of the game,
- 24:39Speaker 1: all right, go on, go on? So now busy he
- 24:43Speaker 1: came over to show his loyalty and came through and
- 24:47Speaker 1: cut the shrimp up into nuggets. I'm talking about pounds
- 24:50Speaker 1: of shrimp, not till not pounds. He had cut up
- 24:54Speaker 1: a hundred pounds of shrimp with a pair of scissors
- 24:58Speaker 1: into shrimp nuggets to show his loyalty. And once he
- 25:02Speaker 1: did that, I'm like, all right, let me give you
- 25:05Speaker 1: a chance doing this. Let me get your chance doing that.
- 25:07Speaker 1: He stead He kept proving itself. So I'm like, all right,
- 25:09Speaker 1: fuck it, you're down with me now. And then we
- 25:12Speaker 1: just we're steady climbing up the ladder, like he got
- 25:15Speaker 1: the truck running right now on downy and our teacher
- 25:17Speaker 1: while I'm here that's my boy, and then here about
- 25:25Speaker 1: to cry. No, I'm a laugh, so I won't because
- 25:27Speaker 1: it's so serious. Girl. But he had tell me a
- 25:33Speaker 1: lot like he likes, like, Sam, you saved my life
- 25:38Speaker 1: full on everything. He like, you know what he was doing.
- 25:41Speaker 1: He like, nigga, you helped me with my kids. You
- 25:44Speaker 1: feel me in and he just you gotta say stuff
- 25:50Speaker 1: to try to make tear from feeling in the water
- 25:53Speaker 1: is wet, that it's mustard, and that we put on
- 25:57Speaker 1: the sandwich. But bro, that's me know a lot, like
- 26:01Speaker 1: I appreciate you. I appreciate you, and I call him
- 26:05Speaker 1: out the blue like I love you can thank you,
- 26:09Speaker 1: like like I appreciate you be cause you ain't gonna
- 26:11Speaker 1: do the things you do, even the times when I'm
- 26:13Speaker 1: not making the money. It's been plenty of times where
- 26:16Speaker 1: he like, we gotta do what we gotta do because
- 26:19Speaker 1: we're we're land a foundation. He used to say, we're
- 26:21Speaker 1: getting our ship together because he didn't know about landing
- 26:23Speaker 1: a foundation. But he's getting all of his everything elevated
- 26:27Speaker 1: now just by hanging you feel me, and I appreciate
- 26:31Speaker 1: him so much, love his kids to death, his youngest son,
- 26:33Speaker 1: that's my God's son. And it's like he riding with me.
- 26:37Speaker 1: He riding with me, and it's like it's so amazing
- 26:39Speaker 1: to see that powerful transition like that because that's all
- 26:41Speaker 1: we know, simply smoke weed and try to get some
- 26:44Speaker 1: money and do it again tomorrow. Yeah. I feel like you,
- 26:48Speaker 1: even from this broke, just like you utilized every like
- 26:53Speaker 1: everything that you were surrounded by, like your environment. You
- 26:55Speaker 1: used it for the greater good, like from your dad
- 26:57Speaker 1: cooking in front of you, from the a ttunity to
- 27:00Speaker 1: sell candy from a young age, even though you didn't
- 27:03Speaker 1: get the car you know to like even like how
- 27:07Speaker 1: you made the sandwich is working with stuff that was
- 27:09Speaker 1: in your friends. It was done for two reasons. A two,
- 27:15Speaker 1: I can't believe I maybe said this ay to try
- 27:18Speaker 1: to be accepted slash. I don't even care about being
- 27:23Speaker 1: accepted now because the second part was me just being
- 27:27Speaker 1: comfortable with me being me. And since I've become grown,
- 27:33Speaker 1: I become more content with that just me being me.
- 27:37Speaker 1: My homies used to be like, why are you trying
- 27:38Speaker 1: to talk white and ship when I said, like, like
- 27:40Speaker 1: I gave you that pitch for when after you come
- 27:42Speaker 1: to All Flavor, thanks for coming to All Flavor, not grease,
- 27:45Speaker 1: Like why the fun you talking like that? You're just
- 27:47Speaker 1: talking like you white? No, why because I'm using a
- 27:49Speaker 1: little elegant and grammar when I talk like I'm supposed
- 27:51Speaker 1: to like a regular human being, just because you're not
- 27:54Speaker 1: thinking of utilize your regular like. So it used to
- 27:57Speaker 1: make me like think like, damn, you're really and weird.
- 28:01Speaker 1: But I said, you know what, I won't even do
- 28:03Speaker 1: that because that's wasting time dually going something that's not
- 28:06Speaker 1: gonna have no profit or no game for you. So
- 28:09Speaker 1: you worry about you, you do your thing. And since
- 28:12Speaker 1: I prompt thank you guys. Since I've been doing my
- 28:15Speaker 1: thing and being led by inspiration and just being faithful
- 28:18Speaker 1: to what I believe in, Scott has been the limit.
- 28:23Speaker 1: I've been realizing more and more in today's world, like
- 28:25Speaker 1: even when I meet people, the realer they are, like
- 28:28Speaker 1: I like, I could fall in love with somebody instantly
- 28:32Speaker 1: when they're themselves, You're like, oh my god, that person
- 28:34Speaker 1: was so you know, I like literally, I'm like glowing
- 28:37Speaker 1: ear to air, like I'm sure I'm gonna be like
- 28:39Speaker 1: that with you all day. I when be talking about you.
- 28:42Speaker 1: But one thing you did say and I kind of
- 28:45Speaker 1: want to focus on, is you said it started with
- 28:47Speaker 1: you being wanting to be accepted, Like can you kind
- 28:50Speaker 1: of go over that a little bit more in detail?
- 28:52Speaker 1: Ship being fat and stank, you with no real life
- 28:56Speaker 1: like homies that are gen will your homies, but they
- 29:01Speaker 1: only your homies because y'all from the same neighborhood. But
- 29:03Speaker 1: you really don't kind of relate and mesh with them.
- 29:06Speaker 1: But it's like you want to relate to mesh with
- 29:08Speaker 1: them because these your homies. These are motherfucker's who you're
- 29:11Speaker 1: seeing every day and he's your friends. He's the ones
- 29:13Speaker 1: who you're going to school with. But when you seeing
- 29:15Speaker 1: them acting weird, you're thinking like, there, now I can
- 29:20Speaker 1: say it's weird, but I did. I would say acting
- 29:22Speaker 1: different or I'm trying to keep up with the jones Is.
- 29:24Speaker 1: But now I'm understanding, like why they act weird. I'm
- 29:26Speaker 1: trying to figure how can I be weird too? Or
- 29:29Speaker 1: how can I just be in? Man? I want to
- 29:31Speaker 1: fit in and I just want to feel me. How
- 29:32Speaker 1: do you roll the blood or how do you just
- 29:34Speaker 1: cuss like this? Or you just but it's like all
- 29:37Speaker 1: the time, I wouldn't you, Yeah, it wouldn't you. Like
- 29:42Speaker 1: fast rewind my background, born and raised in church. I
- 29:44Speaker 1: wasn't even supposed to be born. My mom had sits
- 29:47Speaker 1: on her old reason. Everything she was prayed for by
- 29:49Speaker 1: the bishop. Then she going up about a couple of
- 29:51Speaker 1: months later to a prophilay that was at the church
- 29:53Speaker 1: that said, like, are you expecting the baby? She said, yes,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I am. She like, what do you want to have?
- 29:57Speaker 1: She said, a little girl? She said, I'm sorry to
- 29:58Speaker 1: tell you, but you're gonna have a little boy and
- 30:00Speaker 1: his name should be Samuel. And now he'll be a
- 30:02Speaker 1: prophet and now he'll prophet, signing all over the land
- 30:04Speaker 1: and telling good news. So my mama looked at her like,
- 30:07Speaker 1: you don't lost your mind, Like I'm only too much
- 30:09Speaker 1: pregn Now are you gonna tell me I'm gonna have
- 30:10Speaker 1: a little boy? To fast forward seven months later, she
- 30:12Speaker 1: end up having a little boy and naming me Samuel.
- 30:15Speaker 1: And it's like, by me having that type of background
- 30:20Speaker 1: and then the environment that I was hanging around, it
- 30:23Speaker 1: always was off balance because she's steady coming out, saw
- 30:27Speaker 1: before the street lights come on, Samuel coming to the house,
- 30:31Speaker 1: and I'm like, what the fuck, Like I do not
- 30:34Speaker 1: want to go in the house right now. It's just
- 30:35Speaker 1: now son going down, this cracking, more homies coming out.
- 30:38Speaker 1: But it's like, no, I didn't understand that. I just
- 30:41Speaker 1: thought you were being an overprotective hate and ask mother
- 30:44Speaker 1: all the time you've foreseen. Mom thinks what the mischief?
- 30:48Speaker 1: And BS was already about to turn into because you've
- 30:50Speaker 1: been around the block before. So now that I'm grown,
- 30:55Speaker 1: it's just it's just different. Now. It's like I'm glad
- 30:58Speaker 1: that she was doing what she was doing because it
- 31:01Speaker 1: helped me now to where the majority of them people
- 31:04Speaker 1: even if they are still alive, are just you know,
- 31:06Speaker 1: father to the wayside a little bit. They don't inquired
- 31:09Speaker 1: about jobs and everything from me. Now, hm, wow, that's deep.
- 31:17Speaker 1: That's real. So sometimes for me personally, as I grow
- 31:22Speaker 1: or pursue my dreams, I've noticed there's a divide when
- 31:25Speaker 1: it comes to friendships. So you have the friends that
- 31:28Speaker 1: are down for you when you're down, like, hey, I
- 31:30Speaker 1: don't have any money. You know, here's an opportunity to
- 31:33Speaker 1: so we'd for instance. But then you also have those
- 31:36Speaker 1: friends that are down for you, but when you're up,
- 31:39Speaker 1: they kind of hate you. Have you experienced that all ship? Now?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Could never experience that? Really? While I was growing up,
- 31:46Speaker 1: I ain't had ship. Would you go, hey, don't. I
- 31:49Speaker 1: was always like the the the popular pond you play chess, Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 1: well I'm not good at it, but you know the pieces,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I was like a popular pond. Why you say that, Keith,
- 32:03Speaker 1: Because it was like I was always strategic. I was pushed.
- 32:07Speaker 1: You'll think that he's going this way, and right before
- 32:09Speaker 1: you get to that square, he's already on this square
- 32:12Speaker 1: and it's a game for a couple more moves that's coming.
- 32:14Speaker 1: So it's like Sam got the gift for gab. Sam
- 32:18Speaker 1: is a people person, Sam Gonna make the people laugh, Sam,
- 32:20Speaker 1: Sam Sam, I was a common denominator. You feel me. However,
- 32:24Speaker 1: it was like I still kind of stood out like
- 32:26Speaker 1: the ugly duckling because like I said, I'm I'm a
- 32:30Speaker 1: big guy. Like I said, true, I mean, did you
- 32:35Speaker 1: mask it? Because you clearly thought way different than everybody
- 32:38Speaker 1: because I was scared to you even say something because
- 32:40Speaker 1: I was scared of your opinion of what you might think.
- 32:43Speaker 1: So I'll just bottle a game of ship game. So
- 32:52Speaker 1: now that you're successful, have you experienced the people that
- 32:57Speaker 1: actually hate your success from your own community up? The
- 33:00Speaker 1: ones that I don't let me well, sort of kind
- 33:03Speaker 1: of because the ones that used to be in the
- 33:06Speaker 1: neighborhood they moved away now, so it's like I don't
- 33:09Speaker 1: really have to deal with that no more. And like
- 33:11Speaker 1: I said, a few people that passed away, the ones
- 33:14Speaker 1: I used to say the little slander and jokes and
- 33:16Speaker 1: ship like that. So it's like it's kind of different now,
- 33:20Speaker 1: especially by me being on a pedal stool and their
- 33:23Speaker 1: eyes it's like they just approached me different. Just the
- 33:26Speaker 1: conversation is different. It's like this is just different now.
- 33:30Speaker 1: So future wise, like where do you see the future
- 33:34Speaker 1: for all flavor no Greece going to the town No
- 33:39Speaker 1: but excuse me, future for all flavor no Greece, I
- 33:43Speaker 1: see a break and mortar restaurant, hopefully and perfectly over
- 33:45Speaker 1: by the new so far around stadium. So we're we're
- 33:50Speaker 1: working towards that, you know. You know, the L A
- 33:53Speaker 1: Rams are moving to Woodlen Hills. And I'm not saying
- 33:56Speaker 1: just because I live in the valley, just because I
- 33:58Speaker 1: live in the valley. I'm just saying will and Hills.
- 34:00Speaker 1: The L A Ram Stadium is moving to the old
- 34:02Speaker 1: mall over there. And so you know, if all flavor
- 34:05Speaker 1: no Greece, but I have is better grace of guy
- 34:07Speaker 1: wants to go over there, you know, just saying that's
- 34:11Speaker 1: a good opportunity to you know, I'm more over working
- 34:14Speaker 1: on that, probably getting a few food trucks set in
- 34:17Speaker 1: different areas and counties out here in California, as well
- 34:20Speaker 1: as a few in the South. And I actually want
- 34:22Speaker 1: to focus more on which I should have said first,
- 34:25Speaker 1: is my calling ministry and be a motivational keynote speaking.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I love being in front of the people. Thank you.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I just love being in front of the people. I
- 34:36Speaker 1: love sharing my testimony and my experience because I know
- 34:39Speaker 1: a lot of people can relate. And also, like I
- 34:42Speaker 1: promise you, I also cannot wait to be in front
- 34:45Speaker 1: of the big camera. I want to act so bad,
- 34:49Speaker 1: so so so bad. Are you pursuing it? Are YouTube
- 34:52Speaker 1: busy a little bit? But now since things are starting
- 34:55Speaker 1: to open up, the business is kind of, you know,
- 34:58Speaker 1: spreading itself out. You taking care this, Whitneys taking care
- 35:01Speaker 1: of this, Don's taking care of this. So now Keith
- 35:03Speaker 1: is starting to have a little bit more free time. However,
- 35:06Speaker 1: I don't want the free time to turn into idle time,
- 35:09Speaker 1: got it? You feel me? Feel me? You want your
- 35:12Speaker 1: free time to be utilized in the right way, because
- 35:15Speaker 1: once you become idle, then your mind is vulnerable and
- 35:18Speaker 1: open to doing all economissions. You don't want that. You
- 35:22Speaker 1: want to still remain busy, So hopefully and prayerfully, I
- 35:25Speaker 1: just meet the right connect and it's so I promise you.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I promise you. A problems you bro from Disney Plus
- 35:32Speaker 1: to the Steve Harby Show, to Kelly Clarkson Show, to
- 35:35Speaker 1: like every last single person who came to do an
- 35:38Speaker 1: interview or show. I have to ask him, so how
- 35:41Speaker 1: did you find me? First thing we say, Oh, we
- 35:44Speaker 1: ran across your page. Oh up, something just popped up
- 35:48Speaker 1: to let you know that I'm only doing what I'm
- 35:51Speaker 1: doing on my side by exercise and faith and putting
- 35:54Speaker 1: work behind it. For the Bible teaches us faith what
- 35:56Speaker 1: our works is dead. So if you put some work
- 35:58Speaker 1: behind your faith, that's when you can look for something
- 36:01Speaker 1: that happened on this card for real, for real and
- 36:04Speaker 1: our promise like has been happening, like the endeavors that
- 36:10Speaker 1: I haven't been on, and just level up sins has
- 36:13Speaker 1: been off like it on We Want you, buddy. That's
- 36:18Speaker 1: how That's how eating all broke out off the ground.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I was I was working on the show and no
- 36:24Speaker 1: like I got a call. Don trying to tell the
- 36:26Speaker 1: whole story, but I got a call on the show
- 36:28Speaker 1: got picked up before we even launched. It was like,
- 36:31Speaker 1: we want the show now. I'm like, but it's it's
- 36:34Speaker 1: just that we wanted now. That's big. It's so crazy
- 36:39Speaker 1: because just slightly off subject. I was just telling one
- 36:42Speaker 1: of my colleagues lead just yesterday, I said, bro, I said,
- 36:46Speaker 1: even during the pandemic, during every step of the way.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I said. We ain't asked for nothing. I said, we
- 36:53Speaker 1: haven't gotten out a grant, loan, nothing, not a nothing, legal, nothing.
- 36:57Speaker 1: But you didn't try to get PvP. We tried to
- 37:00Speaker 1: about everything the right way. It didn't get approved. I
- 37:03Speaker 1: don't know why it didn't question it. The only thing
- 37:06Speaker 1: we did was stayed down, devoted and worked hard and
- 37:09Speaker 1: still doing it till today. So I told him, I said, bro,
- 37:12Speaker 1: we haven't even reaped our harvests the blessings yet, as
- 37:15Speaker 1: far as just donations and gifts and people just saying here,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I feel you deserved this because we just saw in
- 37:21Speaker 1: the field going hard and working hard. I said, so
- 37:23Speaker 1: long as we keep doing that, I said, we got
- 37:26Speaker 1: a harvest to reap sooner than later. Yeah. And then
- 37:29Speaker 1: how did COVID COVID nineteen affected my business and a
- 37:35Speaker 1: peculiar way. And the reason why I say that is
- 37:38Speaker 1: because the dining did stop. However, we're food trap, so
- 37:43Speaker 1: it was to go food Now that was a perk
- 37:47Speaker 1: because a lot of people were He's trying to, like
- 37:52Speaker 1: I said, going to the a lot of two goo spots,
- 37:55Speaker 1: and um, the food truck industry is actually overseat curated, right,
- 38:00Speaker 1: now with a different type of just genre food from
- 38:06Speaker 1: different angles, and a lot of people is not serious
- 38:08Speaker 1: about the whole entrepreneurial hustle within itself, and a lot
- 38:13Speaker 1: of people looking at it like, all right, let me
- 38:15Speaker 1: just go make some breayer real quick. I know I
- 38:17Speaker 1: could cook, or I feel like I could. My unset
- 38:19Speaker 1: I could. Let me go try to do this, and
- 38:20Speaker 1: then it's like you fall off in three to six months,
- 38:22Speaker 1: and it's like you don't waste the time. The food
- 38:24Speaker 1: truck industry is kind of expensive too, so if you're
- 38:26Speaker 1: half asking it or you're not really passionate about what
- 38:29Speaker 1: you're doing, and you're looking at it from a money perspective,
- 38:31Speaker 1: you're gonna lose just the truck alone. And I won't
- 38:34Speaker 1: say no numbers activists, but just the food truck alone.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Into the commissaries, the place where you park your food
- 38:40Speaker 1: truck five thousand, that's no home monthly, so you guys
- 38:46Speaker 1: don't even have a rent or you know, you're just
- 38:49Speaker 1: parking it for the night. And I would assume you
- 38:51Speaker 1: get to dump your grace. Yes, yes, you get the
- 38:53Speaker 1: dump everything like waste, you get three field water, you
- 38:56Speaker 1: get ice, and like I said, it's a proper storage,
- 38:59Speaker 1: but just for your truck re lease unless you own
- 39:01Speaker 1: the truck. I know your truck, which means I'm paid
- 39:03Speaker 1: over a hundred eighty thousand for it, which I highly
- 39:06Speaker 1: got a lot of people in the industry is doing.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Right now. You're leasing it, and like I said, you're
- 39:11Speaker 1: paying your your commissary for a five grand plus your
- 39:15Speaker 1: lease fee. No, no, no, no, your commissary fee is
- 39:18Speaker 1: a thousand. Your truck will be about four thousand. So
- 39:22Speaker 1: that's why I said five grandom up for that. And
- 39:24Speaker 1: that's just like I said, that's just for your business.
- 39:26Speaker 1: That's not talking about food. Come on, and food has
- 39:29Speaker 1: an expiration date, so if those people don't eat, it
- 39:32Speaker 1: is also upon inflation right now. Bad. That's why when
- 39:38Speaker 1: I go to McDonald's just like fifteen, I'm that was
- 39:42Speaker 1: a question, and I'm right, you're absolutely crecing for yourself. Yeah,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you're not even sharing with nobody. Yeah wow, so somebody
- 39:52Speaker 1: really adapting and then trying to stay relevant. Feel But
- 39:56Speaker 1: now with the food truck industry, do you deal with
- 39:58Speaker 1: like cash flow issues? The food truck industry goal low
- 40:06Speaker 1: key crack inevitably, because not only is it new to
- 40:10Speaker 1: the culture, but it's a variety of food going on.
- 40:14Speaker 1: So it's really just based on the type of product
- 40:17Speaker 1: that you're presenting to the economy. If they're feeling you,
- 40:20Speaker 1: they're feeling your product, then that's a given cash flow
- 40:23Speaker 1: is going to happen. But if they're not, then it's
- 40:26Speaker 1: not yeah, then you then you end up that's where
- 40:29Speaker 1: you end up shutting down. I guess correct for those
- 40:31Speaker 1: people that do. Because it's a hype and a peak.
- 40:34Speaker 1: It's like a skyrocket. See what you need a cake?
- 40:37Speaker 1: You know what the cake is for fireworks? All I
- 40:42Speaker 1: thought about was like a seven layer chocolate cake. A
- 40:45Speaker 1: cake is actually like a box and he lighted one
- 40:49Speaker 1: time and it has a numerous amount of shots on there.
- 40:51Speaker 1: You feel me a lot of people getting in the
- 40:54Speaker 1: food truck, even the whole culinary industry from restaurants, pop ups,
- 40:59Speaker 1: food trucks. They're doing like a skyrocket. They go up
- 41:03Speaker 1: pal and then the stick just falls down. You want
- 41:06Speaker 1: to be like a cake that don't stop, or like
- 41:08Speaker 1: a switchboard that Disneyland loose. You light it one time
- 41:11Speaker 1: and it's cracking boom boom boom, boom boom boom. You
- 41:14Speaker 1: keep the momentum going. But if you're dishing your work ethic,
- 41:19Speaker 1: it's only work for Skyrocket and you getting into the
- 41:21Speaker 1: big league with the switchboards in the in the cakes,
- 41:24Speaker 1: it's like and up for us bro, you're winning the way.
- 41:28Speaker 1: When I talked to a lot of the entrepreneurs in
- 41:31Speaker 1: Los Angeles, the black entrepreneurs, I feel like there's a
- 41:34Speaker 1: level of lovel and you you unity amongst you guys, Um,
- 41:41Speaker 1: what do you where do you think that comes from? Her? Like?
- 41:45Speaker 1: How does that happen? Because I do notice that you
- 41:47Speaker 1: guys all support each other, all right, could be misled.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Maybe for the most part everybody does. But on the
- 41:56Speaker 1: black side, yeah, for the most part, everybody does. But
- 41:59Speaker 1: you know, even certain black people find a reason, hey
- 42:01Speaker 1: on something for some reason, just in their DNA. However,
- 42:06Speaker 1: it was never really a problem for me because, like
- 42:09Speaker 1: I said, my whole mission from the gate was to
- 42:11Speaker 1: make friends and food. Yeah you feel me? That was
- 42:15Speaker 1: like low key my mission statement, bringing unity to the
- 42:17Speaker 1: community through food. So I never had a problem on
- 42:21Speaker 1: to Curly Joe, Tom and Harry. But everybody's not a
- 42:26Speaker 1: people person like me. So a lot of people get
- 42:30Speaker 1: information and say, like, all right, I'm looking at him
- 42:34Speaker 1: do that all that's simple, that's easy. Let me go
- 42:37Speaker 1: try Yeah, and they go try it, and then I
- 42:40Speaker 1: actually cracked for the first month. Yeah, but it's like,
- 42:44Speaker 1: where's Joe. You need some some substance, Like you're like,
- 42:47Speaker 1: what you're gonna go to keep you going? I feel
- 42:49Speaker 1: like passion plays a huge role, Like if you get
- 42:52Speaker 1: into anything you're doing for money, it's just short lived.
- 42:56Speaker 1: I agree for the simple fact. My passion is food.
- 43:00Speaker 1: My passion is the people. If you keep the people,
- 43:04Speaker 1: you cook so damn good trip this keep the people
- 43:08Speaker 1: happy through the food, you won't. My customer service is
- 43:14Speaker 1: only like a perk that's on a hundred that keeps
- 43:17Speaker 1: them coming back. That's like keep them coming back, Like
- 43:19Speaker 1: I'm the fisherman of men with that, but I'm fishing
- 43:22Speaker 1: for the men and women with the food. That's my bait.
- 43:28Speaker 1: That was a good one. This is the bait. And wow,
- 43:31Speaker 1: and I'm rilling a man with just me being meat.
- 43:35Speaker 1: So when you being you, I know there's a tour
- 43:38Speaker 1: going on, you're coming up, Can you tell us where
- 43:42Speaker 1: we can find you and bump into you? And of course,
- 43:47Speaker 1: of course, of course he's looking at his phone right now,
- 43:51Speaker 1: so you know in the middle the middle everybody's looking at. Yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 1: well we actually have a food truck slash h S
- 44:00Speaker 1: Front Business Summit tour coming up and this will mainly
- 44:06Speaker 1: like highlight a lot of Q and A for banking, permits, paperwork, catering, branding.
- 44:17Speaker 1: It's like a lot of questions that you might have
- 44:19Speaker 1: for business you've probably got to answer from over here,
- 44:22Speaker 1: but you want some different insight mainly towards the food
- 44:26Speaker 1: industry or is it could be any industry. As an
- 44:29Speaker 1: entrepreneur whoa will highlight food majority of the time. However,
- 44:33Speaker 1: it's like all over for business. So it's actually going
- 44:37Speaker 1: to be something new and different. That's why we're also
- 44:40Speaker 1: um not looking for but looking for sponsors as well
- 44:44Speaker 1: to pick up this new wave that we're actually about
- 44:47Speaker 1: to start. Because the way that we'll touch these different
- 44:50Speaker 1: city and states, like we're actually starting on I think
- 44:52Speaker 1: it's Sunday evening or Monday and um Law States. Nevada
- 44:56Speaker 1: gotta be our first stop and then we're going to
- 44:58Speaker 1: head to Indianapolis. Then we'll go to Houston, and we're
- 45:01Speaker 1: going to Atlanta that I think it's Norfolk. This first
- 45:07Speaker 1: go around, right, a lot of people have been hitting
- 45:10Speaker 1: me up on a d M asking that, but I
- 45:13Speaker 1: told him like no, this would be a big Q
- 45:15Speaker 1: and A this time. Okay, continue, I'm sorry, I'm trying
- 45:20Speaker 1: to get it. I'm trying to visit. This summit will
- 45:22Speaker 1: be more for just enlightenment. You feel me shining a
- 45:26Speaker 1: different light on just business, especially for the culinary industry. So,
- 45:31Speaker 1: like I know, it's a lot of people starting up businesses,
- 45:34Speaker 1: and it's a lot of people, like I said, with
- 45:36Speaker 1: questions and answers. We don't have the mall, but we've
- 45:39Speaker 1: had a different side of talent experience, and we've all
- 45:42Speaker 1: been in the game for a certain amount of time.
- 45:44Speaker 1: So hopefully my enlightenments can help you in some way.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Of course, of course, so where do they find out
- 45:53Speaker 1: where to find you cool beings? Well, you can find me,
- 45:56Speaker 1: or you can find all of us on our social
- 45:59Speaker 1: networks at all Flavor no Grease on Instagram and um

- 46:14Speaker 1: your social Yeah, like I'm moreover the talent for the
- 46:19Speaker 1: social Like when it's time to just all that you
- 46:25Speaker 1: feel me, that's me. Or if it's a personal DM,
- 46:27Speaker 1: you feel me. Where somebody probably came through and said
- 46:30Speaker 1: I didn't agree with the food or something, then I
- 46:33Speaker 1: respond back, sorry for the inconvenience, you know, I apologize.
- 46:37Speaker 1: You know that we're not perfect. Sometimes we tend to
- 46:39Speaker 1: miss the mark. However, thanks for your support. I appreciate
- 46:42Speaker 1: you patronizing and if you choose to come back, hopefully
- 46:44Speaker 1: he'll be the better experience, you know. Just like I said,
- 46:47Speaker 1: just trying to capitalize with great customer service, because if
- 46:51Speaker 1: you make a person feel good with an alright dish,
- 46:53Speaker 1: they're gonna say it's great. But if you make a
- 46:55Speaker 1: person feel bad with a dish that was good, they're
- 46:58Speaker 1: still want to say that wasn't nothing. They're going to
- 47:00Speaker 1: automatic me like like speak down on the food, that
- 47:03Speaker 1: the food was all right, but his attitude was even shiftier. Yeah,
- 47:07Speaker 1: you know, when I get Jamaican in l A, I
- 47:09Speaker 1: just assume that the customer service is gonna suck really bad.
- 47:11Speaker 1: But I can't turn down oxtail, so I'll deal with it.
- 47:16Speaker 1: And so if you want to check out All Flavor
- 47:17Speaker 1: No Greece, if you go on his Instagram, you should
- 47:19Speaker 1: be able to find out where that truck is. Typically
- 47:22Speaker 1: it's in South l A. But but he is expanding.
- 47:25Speaker 1: But the best way to stop him find him and
- 47:28Speaker 1: eat good and have good customer service, it's probably starting
