- 4:04get to our guest tonight, Rod Nichols of the Bear County Bigfoot Research Project,
- 4:12this here with me tonight. He's been researching bigfoot in and around San
- 4:15Antonio, Texas for some time, and has come across quite a bit of
- 4:18possible bigfoot evidence. In addition to the bigfoot findings, he may have also
- 4:23stumbled upon a dog man trackway. Rodd's pictures of these tracks can be found
- 4:29in the book and documentary The Texas dog Man Triangle. You can follow Rod's
- 4:33research through his Instagram page Bear County Bigfoot. It looks like Bexer County Bigfoot,
- 4:40y'all, but it's pronounced Bear County. Please help me. Welcome to
- 4:43the show, Rod Nichols. What's that? Rod? Hey, I'm excellent.
- 4:50Oh my gosh, I'm so happy to have you here tonight. Thank
- 4:53you for being my guest. Thank you for having me. It's an honor.
- 4:56Oh that's awesome. Thank you. Well. I love having a other
- 5:00big Foot field researchers here in the studio with me. Because I feel like
- 5:03we're just we're all, you know, sharing our stories and learning from each
- 5:09other for sure. And yeah, and I love following you on Instagram.
- 5:14I know I've been following you on Instagram for a while. And uh,
- 5:17and you have some of the most fantastic findings out in the woods. Actually,
- 5:21as a matter of fact, I just watched The dog Man Triangle,
- 5:26okay, just this weekend. That's a really cool documentary too. So tell
- 5:31me a little bit about first of all, tell me how you got into
- 5:35this research, and tell the audience a little bit about yourself, please.
- 5:41Well, so I feel like throughout my life, like even as a young
- 5:46guy, I feel like I was always a believer. You know. It
- 5:51started with, you know, as a young young guy watching Leonard d.
- 5:57Moy's In Search of and of course, I think, like a lot of
- 6:00other field researchers, the Patterson Gimlin film is definitely a staple, you know,
- 6:05because it's it's highly publicized, it's been out and you know, uh,
- 6:10and nowadays Bigfoot is so much in our pop culture. But you know,
- 6:15I had such an interest in cryptidslockness, monster things like that. I
- 6:18was the kid in elementary school that was, you know, going going to
- 6:24the book fair and buying all those books. You know, my mom was
- 6:27like, you're you're wasting all your money and blah blah blah. You know,
- 6:30but I didn't pay no attention because I knew in my mind, I
- 6:33knew this world was huge. I knew the United States was a big continent,
- 6:39that there was there was so much more to the world, and and
- 6:43where I lived, you know, I knew there was something more out there.
- 6:46So for me, I felt like I was always a believer. And
- 6:49then you know, kind of gotten into uh and maybe this isn't something that
- 6:54people would connect, but for me, you know, getting into gorillas and
- 6:59things like that was a big thing. I had studied Diane Fosse Jane Goodall.
- 7:03I even when I was younger, I wrote, I don't know if
- 7:05you remember Coco the gorilla the I wrote hero when I was a kid,
- 7:10and she wrote back to me type of thing, you know. So you
- 7:14know, so so you know, cryptids and and you know, you know,
- 7:18apes and things like that have always been a staple for me. And
- 7:23I've always been a believer in cryptids. And so fast forward to my adult
- 7:27life, and you know, I'm on disability. I hurt myself at work
- 7:30and I'm out for a good while, but I'm still mobile a little bit,
- 7:33you know, getting on the mend. And I ended up binge watching
- 7:38a YouTube channel. I was a gentleman out of Utah, and he was
- 7:43showing a lot of his trace evidence. And to me, you know,
- 7:46I had no knowledge of the subject, right, I just thought it was
- 7:50Patterson Gillen. There's just one out there in northern California and that's where it's
- 7:56at, and there's no way there's there anywhere else, right type of thing.
- 8:00Uh so lo and behold, this guy was just blowing my mind with
- 8:03you know, his evidence. He was showing. He was showing a lot
- 8:05of the wood structures and that was his trace evidence amongst you know, footprints,
- 8:09and then he talked some of his you know, encounters with these creatures
- 8:16things like that. But the wood structures is what really resonated with me.
- 8:20I had no recollection or understanding of of of wood structures. I didn't know,
- 8:26and so I watch I binge watched all of his of his videos like
- 8:31that night, all of it I got. I got sucked in. And
- 8:35the last video that he put out was showing his audience how to go and
- 8:41find this this trace evidence, right, and he broke it down. He
- 8:45said, hey, look, if you've got a habitat that supports big game,
- 8:50and you've got some property where this is, you know, something that
- 8:56where a creature apex predder can go in and out, you know you have
- 9:01safe passage. You know you may have a recipe for finding some type of
- 9:05trace evidence. So you know, he there was some other things too that
- 9:09he talked about. So the next day I went out and I went to
- 9:13go look for a wood structure, and I was following you know that the
- 9:18same uh, the outline of what he gave his audience of how to find
- 9:22this stuff. On the same day, I went to go find a wood
- 9:26structure. I found one, and it blew my mind and and I stopped
- 9:30out on my tracks and I thought, this, this is this can't be
- 9:33real, Like this can't be happening, Like I can't I can't believe what
- 9:37I'm looking at, like you know, And and from there it's just it's
- 9:41snowballed. And and at that time, I was in the woods. Every
- 9:46waking moment I can get out there, I was out there looking and looking
- 9:50and looking, and you know, I came to conclusion that I may I
- 9:56may have something substantial here. And you know it, if you know our
- 10:01neck of the woods, we're not really we're not really highly publicized as the
- 10:05Bigfoot. You know, city or area or county whatever. East Texas overshadows
- 10:11a lot of the Bigfoot encounters and sighting things like that. You know,
- 10:16Sanjastern National Forest, you know that area where it's where it's it's going off
- 10:22over there, basically right. But understanding that, you know, we have
- 10:26a history. San Antonio does have history of some significant sightings dating back to
- 10:31the seventies, you know, dating that dating back to the seventies, with
- 10:35a few people that saw these things on their property. They've documented prints,
- 10:41there's newspaper clippings on it. And then fast forward into two thousands, you've
- 10:45got a homeless couple that was living out in the woods about northwest San Antonio,
- 10:50right off of a major highway. They were camping out and they came
- 10:54up to their camp saw this creature with a dough in its in its arms
- 11:01eating it. It jumped up on two legs, screamed at them, ran
- 11:05off with the dough, and they called nine to one one immediately and you
- 11:09could actually, you know here maybe probably heard the the phone call, the
- 11:13nine one one phone call of this homeless couple. It's it's the wife that's
- 11:18on the phone describing the creature, talking about, you know, hey,
- 11:20we need animal control air because she thought it was just just an escape,
- 11:24you know, animal or something of that nature. So you know, you've
- 11:28got you've got some some some real things that have happened, sightings that have
- 11:33happened here in our area. And so for me looking at that, I
- 11:39thought, you know, surely there's got to be some evidence these things must
- 11:41be going in and out of the city. And the conclusion I came to
- 11:46with my with my evidence and my research that i'd been doing, was that
- 11:52these and this is just me speculating. I can't definitively say that this is
- 11:56gospel or the truth. But here's here's what I'll tell you. I believe
- 12:01that these creatures are utilizing greenways and creeks and they go in and out of
- 12:07the city. Right now, when you talk about that, you gotta you
- 12:11gotta throw in a water source. There's got to be a water source,
- 12:15and then you gotta throw in the habitat. The habitat here is whitetail deer
- 12:20uh and lots of coverage, lots of cedar trees, lots of oak,
- 12:26lots of lots of great big trees where you can hide, you can be
- 12:31concealed. And you know white tail deer are are They're they're numerous here.
- 12:37So you know when you when you throw in all of those elements, then
- 12:41you sit there and go, Okay, I'm looking at this greenway that goes
- 12:45in and out of the city. I can I myself could go in and
- 12:48out without being detected. I can I can hide, I can I can
- 12:54conceal myself. I can do all those things if I wanted to off this
- 12:58particular creek. And you know, when I stepped back and I looked at
- 13:03the topography and I looked at what I was finding, I thought, man,
- 13:09I've got something. Because this particular creek is very prominent. It's got
- 13:13a lot of history with the Native Americans and fur trappers. There's actually a
- 13:18battle that took place on this specific creek. It goes in and out of
- 13:22the city, and it goes through San Antonio all the way into other cities
- 13:26that are in South Texas. So you've got a highway. You've got a
- 13:31highway for something. If it's an APEX predator with intelligence, you've got something
- 13:39that is substantial, I think in the form of this Creek Greenway. So
- 13:43you know, this Creek Greenway connects all of these wilderness parks together, right,
- 13:48So looking at each wilderness park connected to this creek, I find wood
- 13:56structures each time in every park. Now you have to sit there and people
- 14:03have told me, well, it's homeless people, it's boy scouts, it's
- 14:07it's you know, it's people doing this. And I'm like, we're talking
- 14:09about like several wilderness parks with all of this stuff in there. Not only
- 14:15that I found, Prince, I did a casting of a couple of prints
- 14:20in one specific area connected to that green belt. So you know, I'm
- 14:26not going to doubt that some of this stuff maybe people tooling around. I'm
- 14:30not going to doubt that at all, but it's prevalent who's doing this right,
- 14:35and knowing that, you've got to look at the pieces involved in these
- 14:39wood structures. We're talking about whole trees ten fifteen foot tall, maybe about
- 14:46six to eight inches around, and the root system is still attached. You
- 14:50know, if we're talking about homeless people, we're talking about we're talking about
- 14:54strong people with a probably a forklift, right right. So and so that's
- 15:01that's that's what I've been, Uh, that's where I've been ever since.
- 15:05Yeah. Wow, oh my gosh, Jennifer Patterson, thank you so much
- 15:09for that supersticker. We appreciate that. Okay. So when you're talking about
- 15:15these wood structures, okay, and that's one thing that really caught my attention
- 15:20from your social media posts and stuff when I first started following you, as
- 15:22you had some pretty fantastic wood structures, okay, and I have come across
- 15:28my share in the woods as well, and uh, and there's there are
- 15:33clearly some that are debris huts that are made by people humans, and then
- 15:37there are some that are not explainable okay, that are like turned upside down,
- 15:41the root balls are in the air. And I mean for me personally,
- 15:46it's it's hard to pick up logs for the fireplace sometimes. I mean
- 15:50wood is heavy, Okay, wood is heavy. A lot of the guys
- 15:54when we're out in the we're out in the field, they all carry chainsaws
- 15:58in their trucks just in case we have like a tree that goes down or
- 16:00we need to cut some firewood or something. Uh. But and it's trees
- 16:04are heavy, y'all. Okay, trees are heavy and uh. And so
- 16:07when you go out into the woods and you've come across some of these structures,
- 16:11it's just not really humanly possible to get some of these structures made by
- 16:17humans. However, I have spent enough time out in the woods building and
- 16:22learning how to build debris huts. Okay. Uh, it's it becomes a
- 16:26little easy to spot once you do it yourself. Yeah, okay, And
- 16:30so I'm able to tell, like I I listen. I have people that
- 16:33semi pictures all the time of debris huts and they say that they are they've
- 16:38got to be bigfoot dens and stuff. But I don't I see. I
- 16:42see humans in that. And you can see where they cut it with their
- 16:45axes and their you know whatever. You can tell. Okay, But there's
- 16:51this one that you have. Okay, it's like you call it the beast.
- 16:55Yeah, okay, and uh And if it's okay, I'd love to
- 16:57show a picture. I took a screen shot of one of your videos,
- 17:00and so I'd like to show that tonight, and if you'll explain to the
- 17:03audience what this is because it is massive. Yeah, absolutely, Okay,
- 17:11let's see, I'm gonna pull it up for an audience. Okay, this
- 17:18thing. Okay, it may be kind of hard to see. You got
- 17:19to see the whole video, y'all. Okay, But where where is this?
- 17:25And what is this? So this is more uh, this would be
- 17:30considered more northwest San Antonio. Uh. This is off of another creek that's
- 17:34very, very vast. It's it's got a lot of history as well.
- 17:38It's called Leon Creek. And this particular wood structure is in a wilderness park
- 17:45where one there's there's tons of white tail deer. I mean, some of
- 17:49the best looking bucks I've ever seen in my life are in this park.
- 17:52Number one, number two. There's a water source about a mile and a
- 17:56half approximately north on this creek. And this is a wilderness park where you
- 18:06can't you can't hunt, and you can't camp at this wilderness park. Okay,
- 18:11So this structure in particular, I have actually taking taken. Well.
- 18:18First of all, I found it. Me and my son found it about
- 18:21six years ago, I would say more or less six years ago, and
- 18:23we were blown away by it. I was just I was floored because I
- 18:26never see anything like this in my life. And at one point it doesn't
- 18:32look like it now, but at one point you could a hole. A
- 18:36growing up man about six foot can stand up in this easily. It's it's
- 18:40not that hard. It's got an inside, it's it's got a passage in
- 18:45and it's got an exit or vice versa, however you want to look at
- 18:48it. But the pieces that are involved in this, and you could see
- 18:51there's one tree that's laid out there. It's kind of a little straggler,
- 18:56but you can see the root system with this with this tree laid out there,
- 19:00and you could see a lot of big pieces in this wood structure.
- 19:03It's really interesting. I've actually taken a wildlife biologist with me out in the
- 19:08field who is a believer. I took him to this wood structure and it
- 19:14blew his mind. He had no answer for me. He had no answer
- 19:17as to what kind of animal would do this. I think part of what
- 19:22he'd said was some of the things that I had shown him all the way
- 19:26leading up to that particular wood structure, is that some of these sites kind
- 19:29of looked like almost nesting like like they look like primate type of activity.
- 19:34And so when I took him to this structure, I watched him. He
- 19:40stood in it. He stood in it by himself. I let him,
- 19:42Hey, man, can I walk it? Absolutely go in k not just
- 19:45about. He stepped into that structure and I could see his brain just like
- 19:52the cogs and wheels were moving like what. He couldn't figure it out,
- 19:56Like he was even talking to himself like is this what? What? What
- 20:00is this? Like he didn't know, he had no idea. And I'm
- 20:03talking about a well tenured wildl biologist who has no answer for this. So
- 20:10you know, this wood structure has evolved over several years. It's been added
- 20:15on, it's been uh taken away, added on, you know. Now
- 20:18here's here's what I will tell you. And I'm gonna I'll be completely real.
- 20:22I'm not gonna doubt that maybe somebody had passed by and put their own
- 20:26touch on it. I'm not I'm not gonna I'm not gonna argue that you
- 20:30know, a person or people may not have come through and you know,
- 20:36off the off the game trail and seeing it and go, oh, you
- 20:38know, hey whatever, I'm not gonna deny that. But here's here's here's
- 20:42here's where I'm gonna I'm gonna get you. You gotta look, you gotta
- 20:47look at the pieces involved in this. You've got to look at the pieces
- 20:49involved. If you're gonna tell me it's people, then we're talking about strong
- 20:55people, a team of people going in and build these things, right,
- 20:59But they don't hold out up. They don't. They don't keep rain out,
- 21:02they don't keep sunlight out, they don't keep the elements out. So
- 21:04why go out and build this stuff for what reason? When somebody had told
- 21:10me, well, there's people out there that that that do bushcraft class and
- 21:14I get you. Cool, Hey, if that's where it is, great,
- 21:18But I keep tabs on my areas pretty consistently morning, noon and almost
- 21:23into into the night time over six years. You would have thought I would
- 21:27have run into somebody building this stuff, somebody. I have not run into
- 21:33anybody building these things at all. So you've gotta you've got to just throw
- 21:40it out there and go well, cryptid, I don't know, but it
- 21:45certainly is amazing. It is amazing. And that one is like it's like
- 21:48a mansion of If that's a debris hud. I mean that that's more than
- 21:52debri Hut. First of all, is like tiny. It's like it's like
- 21:56a one man kind of it's almost like a sleeping bag. Okay, like
- 22:00it's tiny usually and uh and it's just for survival, Okay, now what
- 22:04what you're showing And a lot of these videos is stuff that's just massive,
- 22:10okay, like massive. And we have people in the chat tonight like Brown
- 22:12Dwarf and Long Island Bigfoot. They're very nice. Yeah there there they come
- 22:18across some really cool structures too. I know Brown Dwarf loves structures and uh,
- 22:22we've had conversations about those and uh and I just think it's fascinating because
- 22:26some of the things are just not it's almost like not humanly possible for humans
- 22:30to make some of these. But but what but but bigfoots are so some
- 22:34of them are really large, and it would be like what are they doing?
- 22:37You know, is it sure? Because because there's no like roof on
- 22:41it, like you said, to like make it into a shelter, But
- 22:44it could be somebody in the chat was saying, what could be where Bigfoot's
- 22:47having babies or something. You know, everybody's got a you know, a
- 22:51suggestion as to what it is. But really the truth of the matter is
- 22:55we don't really know. No, and and and I'm somebody Jessica that I'm
- 23:00I'm I'm not going to pretend to know. I don't. I don't take
- 23:03that route only because I Number one, here's obvious reason. Obviously I don't
- 23:07know number one. Number two. You know, I can match up a
- 23:14lot of my wood structures up against somebody that's in Oregon and in Colorado,
- 23:21in California, in Oklahoma. It's the same almost the same style in a
- 23:26lot of ways. So if we're talking in terms of that, there's something
- 23:30going on, right, I don't know what right. And in my videos,
- 23:33I don't think i'll ever I don't think you've ever heard me say,
- 23:37yes, Bigfoot did this, this is what they do and blah blah blah.
- 23:41I don't And I get people that that that are are gracious enough to
- 23:44come forward and put themselves out there and go, look, I think they
- 23:47do do it for this reason. Okay, cool. And my answer to
- 23:49that is you could be right. You could be right. I don't know.
- 23:53What I do know is this, I've been tracking this stuff up and
- 23:56down this creek north all the way south because it goes north and south right
- 24:03and there's something going on. These pieces are not tiny, they're not And
- 24:08in fact, I try to pick them up myself and a lot of times
- 24:11I can't pick these pieces up. They're heavy, They're dense. Who is
- 24:15pulling out trees from the root system and fashioning them, fashioning them into a
- 24:22tpee and a frame a wigwam in excess, even excess, I mean,
- 24:26they're still heavy, you know. And and I just came out of the
- 24:30woods about a month ago, I guess I had. I went with my
- 24:33team up in it's actually middle Georgia, this place that we call the troop
- 24:37Herd Corridor, and uh and we we there was a part of the woods
- 24:41out there that had like baby trees, like really thin, skinny trees everywhere,
- 24:47and they were like bendable and stuff and so but not for like a
- 24:51normal human. But we were finding we found a giganic arch that had been
- 24:53like tied in like an asterisk kind of thing, and it was it was
- 24:57just very odd. It was almost like how could a human have done that?
- 25:00You know? And it was huge, I mean, some of the
- 25:04things it could have been absolutely could have been the weather that did that,
- 25:08like a storm came through or something, and it made some of the X
- 25:11structures, okay, but this art was very different. And plus all of
- 25:17the sticks, not the sticks, but the logs, the trees, some
- 25:21of them the root ball was like up in the air and there was nowhere
- 25:25on the ground where that tree had been dug up, right, so it
- 25:29came from somewhere, but it wasn't there, and it would have been too
- 25:30heavy for a human to carry. No, Yeah, and you're right,
- 25:33and that's what I've come up against as well. Right, what you said
- 25:38is exactly some of the same stuff that it's fine, right, So you
- 25:44know, if again, if you're going to tell me it's people, boy
- 25:47scouts, homeless were finding the similarities and these wood structures, right, And
- 25:52I would venture to say that maybe there was a creek by some of this
- 25:55stuff, or some type of passage off of a game trail something where they've
- 26:03got that in and out type of passage. So you know, and I'm
- 26:08not just saying this just because I think that this is what's going on.
- 26:11I'm basing this off of other books. Lyle Blackburn has talked about this before.
- 26:15I've I've seen I've heard one of his lectures up close. He's talked
- 26:21about how some of this stuff is is found alongside of creeks and greenways.
- 26:26So you know, it's not far fetched for me to say, yeah,
- 26:30like this is this is this could be cryptid activity, you know what I
- 26:33mean. So, but going back to the wildlife biologist, just to add
- 26:37something to that, I had taken him to a spot where I had found
- 26:41a dough carcat so it was more of a skeleton, had some of the
- 26:45flesh still on it, but it was more more bones than anything else.
- 26:48And she had been broken in half. Her back was broken in half right
- 26:53in the middle. Her legs were pulled off. All of her legs are
- 26:56pulled off and thrown about. Her head was pulled off for neck, the
- 27:00head was pulled apart, bottom jaw, top jaw pulled apart and thrown about
- 27:04feet away from the torso. And he put on his gloves and stuff,
- 27:10and he put the skeleton together. He said, hey, look, Rod,
- 27:14He said, right in the middle, this thing bows like it bows
- 27:17down like where it's broken. Something with great force broke this back of his
- 27:22dough and I sat there, I played Devil's advocate. I said, homeless
- 27:26people. He said, duh, no, He's like this would have to
- 27:30have been one badass homeless person to a chase down a dough b break its
- 27:37back like that, you know, and split in half. Right. So
- 27:41you know, again, going going into some of this evidence alongside of these
- 27:45wood structures stuff like that, you have to really wonder, you know,
- 27:52who what is doing this or who is doing this and why you know?
- 27:56And I think that's just the age old question for a lot of us.
- 28:00Why right, But you know, I'll take it a step further up north
- 28:04on this Creek Greenway that I've been I've been documenting for years now, there
- 28:08is something called an Edwards Underground aquifer recharge Zone. So where we Santoi gets
- 28:15her water, it's it's an underground cavern San Antonio. I don't know if
- 28:19you know this, or maybe nobody knows this. Santooni sits on an underground
- 28:22cavern. It's huge. I've been to San Antonio. I've been a river
- 28:26walk underneath the city. Okay, it's a river that runs underneath the city
- 28:30with shops and everything down there. It's like an underground city. You know.
- 28:34So, now the Edwards Underground Aquifer at at the at the top,
- 28:40at the very north part that I've gone to, there's a recharge zone.
- 28:42That's where we get our water. That's when it rains, the water filters
- 28:47in. That's how we get our water. But here's here's my problem.
- 28:49Here's my not my problem, here's my thing. Uh, you can't tell
- 28:53me that that the government knows every nook and cranny of that cavern because here's
- 28:59the reality of that cavern. That cavern stretches from San Antonio all the way
- 29:03to Austin. Oh my gosh, that's huge. So my theory, my
- 29:08theory is this, This is my theory. I believe that they do their
- 29:14hunting in and out of of of that of that greenway, right, it's
- 29:17their highway. It's how they hunt. I think. I believe this is
- 29:21done at night. And what I do. What I believe is that during
- 29:25the day there is an opening, there's somewhere where they get inside this cavern
- 29:29that we don't know about, and that's where they reside. And then at
- 29:33night they come out, hunt and get their kill, go back in.
- 29:38So you know that that that's my my working theory. That I've got so
- 29:42far. I can appreciate that one hundred percent. I can appreciate that.
- 29:47And uh, now I have heard you speak about Ron Moorehead's book Quantum Bigfoot.
- 29:52Okay, I did speak about that one day. What do you think
- 29:56about the theory and the idea of sasquatch An and other cryptids having some sort
- 30:02of supernatural element to them, even potentially being like interdimensional beings and things like
- 30:07that. Yeah, I will say I have not experienced anything in that area
- 30:11so far, at least now, but I'm I'm I think it's I think
- 30:17it's definitely a possibility. I'm open to it. My philosophy is this,
- 30:21Jessica. If you're open to some of it, you have to be open
- 30:25to all of it because we do not know. We don't. I don't
- 30:30have one of these things in my garage to go and ask questions. I
- 30:33don't have that right. So you know, the whole the quantum Bigfoot,
- 30:37you know, the mind speak, interdimensional you know, based off of encounters
- 30:44and things that I've heard, Yeah, very possible. I heard an encounter
- 30:48of somebody saying that they saw this thing, this creature running on the side
- 30:53of the highway at night, and in front of it was an ORB.
- 30:57You know, it seems yeah, a lot of times right when we're out
- 31:03in the field, there's usually orbs associated with our big foot sightings that we
- 31:07have, wow and and UFOs. It's all, it's all kind of it
- 31:11all kind of is one big nice package that goes together when we're out in
- 31:14the field doing our research. I'm not going to rule out that it is
- 31:17super that that there are some supernatural elements I am of I'm very open to
- 31:22all of this. By the way, I'm not sure, you know,
- 31:25And I think that's I think if you're a field researcher, you should be
- 31:29open. You should pay should pay attention to some of the most outlandish stories
- 31:33that you've heard. You need to pay attention to this, you know what
- 31:37I mean, You need to pay attention to all of it. And because
- 31:40it's all it's because to me, it's all part of research. It's all
- 31:45part of you learning right and and and I think that if if there are
- 31:52and I believe there is some supernatural element to these creatures, I think that
- 31:57you know, in speaking in terms of that, you know, now we're
- 32:00talking about something that is in and out that can that can exit in and
- 32:08enter our world like like that, you know, and that's a that's amazing.
- 32:14Now, maybe hopefully I'll get to experience something like that. I don't
- 32:17know, but I'm open to it, I really am. I bet you
- 32:22will. I bet you will. You're out there enough, you're going to
- 32:24you're going to run into something that's really weird that you can't explain. And
- 32:28I'm sure you already have. But I mean, I'm sure you have and
- 32:32uh and there, and it comes to a point to where things that you
- 32:37may have discounted in the past as being just something that your your rational brain
- 32:42could rationalize. If that makes sense, Yes, it could be, you
- 32:46know, like I think I may have encountered a cloak bigfoot. The first
- 32:51time I was ever out in something ran up behind me and hit the back
- 32:54of my legs and kept running and I heard it, I felt it.
- 32:59Whoa, it was there. There was somebody there. I thought one of
- 33:01the guys was running up behind me to tackle me, to scare me.
- 33:05That's gotta be freaky. It was. It was pretty freaky, but I
- 33:08kind of asked for it. I was being bait. I'll be asquatch bait.
- 33:13It's like my favorite thing. I like being bait. So that was
- 33:15my that was my first experience being bait. So and I and I questioned
- 33:20my I questioned why I was doing that at that moment. Yeah, of
- 33:24course. But you know, me and my wife have had had we had
- 33:29what we feel was an a counter not too long ago, uh, at
- 33:32a new area that we've been researching, and it was classic. It was.
- 33:38It was what you hear on the podcast. You know, where there's
- 33:42one, there's another. I believe that fully, it's not just one,
- 33:46there's another one around or maybe a third right, so you know, this
- 33:51whatever it was was one of them, was what I believe might be one
- 33:54of them, flanking us on the right hand side on a very high ridge,
- 34:02and I could see the trees moving, the saplings moving back and forth.
- 34:07I can hear it walking back and forth. And then across from this
- 34:09little river that's a part of the creek that we've been researching. Across that
- 34:15something was thrown at us and I caught the tail end of the object falling
- 34:20into going into the water. In the beginning, it looked like it was
- 34:23probably about this big, like like almost like it looked like a big rock
- 34:28that was just big, and it got tossed and I caught the tail,
- 34:31just the tail end of it, and boom, I heard it just hit
- 34:35the water. And then shortly after that, we got two very low growls
- 34:40that I can't place with any animal that I've encountered in these woods because we
- 34:47don't have bears here. We don't have any of the big predators here in
- 34:52San Antonio. We don't. Maybe you'll hear about a mountain lion every once
- 34:58in a while, but maybe like years in years, you'll hear about one
- 35:00and then you won't hear about it again, right, So, you know,
- 35:05it was it was very unnerving, Like it was crazy. I was
- 35:07like wow. I was like, we probably should get out here and and
- 35:12just just back away. But you know, that was something that we had
- 35:15never experienced in our in our life. And I was like, whoa,
- 35:17we just got growled at. This was weird. And the growl, like
- 35:21I said, it was super low, super low, Like I'd never heard
- 35:24anything like that. So you can feel it in your body, right,
- 35:28you can just feel it? Yeah you can, Yeah, you can.
- 35:31It's really odd. So but yeah, that was kind of the extent of
- 35:36it. That we've had some Yeah, well, okay, so speaking of
- 35:38orbs and growls and stuff, the last time that I actually was growled at
- 35:43and and the last time I saw orbit happened simultaneously in the field up at
- 35:47this place we call the UFO Field. Okay, and Chris Holme, by
- 35:52the way, thank you for that supersticker. I appreciate that very much.
- 35:57But I was up at the UFO Field is what we call it, and
- 36:00it got that name after I had a UFO experience. It's a long story,
- 36:07but anyways, the audience knows that if you all have been following me
- 36:09for a while. Okay, But I was up there, and and me
- 36:13and one of the guys that was with me, we were seeing orange orbs
- 36:15or orange lights in the trees in the tree line, and we felt like
- 36:19we were being surrounded. You know, you can just feel it. You
- 36:22can feel it in the energy, you can feel it in your gut.
- 36:24You know that there's something watching you, there's something there, Okay. And
- 36:29and so I saw an orange light shoot through the trees, and right after
- 36:34it shot through the trees right in front of me, it goes, oh
- 36:37like loud. I literally thought that there could be a bear or something,
- 36:40but I knew instinctively it was a big foot. Okay, but of course
- 36:45you got to turn on your flashlight and make sure there's no bear about to
- 36:47charge you. Yeah, you know what I mean. So, but but
- 36:52it happened kind of simultaneously, that ORB and then the bigfoot, So it
- 36:57kind of led me to question, like what as an ORB and how is
- 37:01bigfoot connected to that? Like, well, yeah, what's the connection there?
- 37:06God? Such a good question. You know a lot of people have
- 37:09attributed as far as the creatures are concerned, bigfoot sasquatch, they believe that
- 37:16it is part of the Nephelum, you know, you know, the sons
- 37:22of God that came down to Earth that had relationships with you know women,
- 37:28you know, earthly women, right, whatever, the whole the whole thing,
- 37:30right. So there's people that are of that. There are people that
- 37:35believe that these things just come from another planet and they've just been dropped off
- 37:40by a ship and they're here to kind of do whatever and then they get
- 37:45sucked back up or you know, whatever they case. And then there are
- 37:46people of the mind mindset that are that these things are interdimensional and they come
- 37:52in and out into our world and their world, you know, as they
- 37:58please type of thing. But and and I tell people like, it's it's
- 38:01it's all. It's all possible to me, it really is. And you
- 38:06know, because we don't have answers to the questions, you know. But
- 38:10I think I think the people that have put their best foot forward and have
- 38:14really done the research and present evidence in the form of history, uh,
- 38:20and and and other pieces of evidence that they have found through encounters and things
- 38:25like that. Uh. You know, I I believe those people. I
- 38:29don't. I don't sit there and go, no, you're crazy, it's
- 38:31weird, you know whatever. Listen, We're chasing a bipedal seven eight foot
- 38:38or even taller Harry creature in the woods that is faster than anything we've ever
- 38:45known, that is the master of its of its domain. And you can't
- 38:50tell me that there's some there's not some type of supernatural element to it,
- 38:53because I think I think there Oh, okay, totally. And Digger Dog
- 38:59has one of the best statements right here, because I say I say this
- 39:02for you know, I may not say it on air, but I've said
- 39:05this plenty of times. Uh. Digger does not like paranormal or supernatural in
- 39:09these terms. They are natural in ways. We just don't understand the mechanics
- 39:15of it. Okay, that's what I say too. It's like, well,
- 39:17I just don't think that our human brains can like rationalize what's going on.
- 39:22And we really you know, when we say cloaked, okay, like
- 39:25a bigfoot cloaked, it doesn't mean that it just disappeared. It may just
- 39:29mean that they have like been able to raise their frequency somehow to where we
- 39:34don't have like the rods and the cones in our eyes to be able to
- 39:37see them. It's some kind of frequency that they're on. Okay, so
- 39:40it's just beyond our comprehension as humans, but it's just natural to them what
- 39:45they're doing. And and and he brings up a good point. Absolutely,
- 39:51we in our in our carnal mind, we try to rationalize everything and put
- 39:54it up against something that we have seen, heard, or experienced in our
- 40:00life. Right, so when it doesn't fit in that box, so to
- 40:05speak, you know what do we do? We just we we either just
- 40:08walk away and go, oh that was just a weird bear, or you
- 40:14know, we we we we we try to we try to project and put
- 40:17other things onto it when we really don't want to face the truth and go,
- 40:22man, I just saw something that was really crazy and it just disappeared
- 40:27right in front of me or whatever the case is, you know, So
- 40:30I totally, I totally understand it. And and and I'm with He brings
- 40:35up a good point, because yeah, what what what is probably natural to
- 40:39them? To us, we've never seen stuff like that. We we don't
- 40:44know what that looks like. You know. Yeah, John has a great
- 40:47point. So John saying, let me pull this one back up. When
- 40:52the European ships first anchored off the shores of the New World, the Native
- 40:55Americans could not see them because they couldn't understan what they were looking at,
- 41:00right, and so the waters were empty to them. But the Shamans could
- 41:05actually see the ships. Okay, So Shamans are actually tuned in, probably
- 41:09have their psychic abilities on point right from whatever kind of meditations they do and
- 41:16that kind of stuff. That's why my team is trained in something we call
- 41:22remote viewing, and we have been training to enhance our psychic abilities for a
- 41:27long time and it helps in the field of bigfoot research, I believe.
- 41:30But that's the whole other rabbit hole. If you guys want to go down
- 41:32there, y'all just watch my shows. Y'all watch some former shows, okay,
- 41:37my previous shows. Because I talk about it a lot, I think
- 41:39it really does help. When you are on a frequency, you're able to
- 41:45see these things and ride. I think that you're on a frequency, okay
- 41:50to where you know. Some people say that whenever they have a cryptid sighting,
- 41:54they're marked, right, and when you're marked, you start seeing It's
- 42:00almost like these dog men will follow you around for the rest of your life,
- 42:02or the bigfoots will follow you around for the rest of your life.
- 42:06Really, what I what I think It's just you get on that frequency.
- 42:09Okay, what do you think about that? You know? I think I
- 42:14think that's you could be right on that, you know, I think that,
- 42:16And and I'm basing this is this is something I've I've not heard,
- 42:22right, I've heard this before from first hand encounters. Right, They'll they'll
- 42:27encounter the creature and then they'll go home and they'll go it followed me,
- 42:32I'm still having this activity on my property now. And and I where I
- 42:37encountered this creature was, you know, ten miles down the road right or
- 42:43whatever, right a certain amount of distance and this I brought this thing home,
- 42:50you know, so you know there's there's there's definitely something going on with
- 42:53that, and you know, I think that that's definitely a possibility, you
- 43:00know, frequency wise, Yeah, yeah, I think so. Okay,
- 43:05we do have a question. Do you think that there are places from Wayne
- 43:08in the in the chat? Uh? Are there any portals in Bear County?
- 43:14Are you familiar with any kind of like portals because listen, you guys
- 43:16have a lot of cryptids out there in Texas. Yeah. Uh, And
- 43:21I'm talking about from terroosaur sightings modern day terroosaurs, to goat men okay,
- 43:28to bigfoot, to lake monsters to whatever man y'all got everything, chop of
- 43:34cabra, that's right, A lot of dog man though, a lot of
- 43:37dog man sightings out there. Yeah, yeah, uh, you know,
- 43:42I wouldn't doubt if there is. I have not experienced that myself. I
- 43:45know somebody that has. I know another researcher that has talked about that,
- 43:52uh, some type of portal that this a friend of his encountered or what
- 43:58he thought might be a portal, went back and it was gone. You
- 44:01know. It was interesting, you know, so you know, yeah,
- 44:07there could be there very well could be, and I have not encountered it
- 44:10yet. It would be kind of cool to document something like that, though
- 44:14it really would can't. Hey, my team documented one, but it's it's
- 44:19an undisclosed location. It's not it's not in Texas. I can say that
- 44:22we don't. We don't research in Texas, but man, I would love
- 44:25to research Texas sometimes because there's there's so much going on there. And I
- 44:30mean I I've had guests on my shows who have talked about like border patrol
- 44:36agents watching as people like illegal border crossers are like crossing the border and they're
- 44:43watching them, and uh they get attacked and turned to shreds by dog men.
- 44:50Okay, so uh, I know, I know that's it's it's a
- 44:53little rough. It's a touchy subject there, okay in a lot of ways,
- 44:58but it could it could be a reality. I think it's I think
- 45:02it's just something is it's something that we should talk about a little bit.
- 45:07I can put it out there and but talk about it gently, okay for
- 45:12for YouTube standards and things like that, you know, but I think that
- 45:15it's something that we need to watch out for, especially as researchers, Okay,
- 45:20because we need to know the dangers of what we're dealing with out there.
- 45:22Sure, absolutely absolutely, Uh you know, so I was, I
- 45:28was, Uh, this is my chance. I documented a print that apparently
- 45:32that had lined up with an alleged dog man. Alleged dog man prints that
- 45:37have been found by other people that have encountered this creature upright, canine walking
- 45:44on two legs. Uh and and can go quadruped, can go quadruped and
- 45:49biped right? Uh? So the the gentleman that I referring to that I
- 45:55I found, I found, I found this print and I sent it over
- 46:00to him. And his name is Aaron D's. He's with small Town Monsters,
- 46:04and he also has a another account called Hey Strangeness is on Instagram as
- 46:09well. And he wrote the book dog the dog Man Triangle were Wolfson the
- 46:15Lone Star State, which is I think the first offering from Small Town Monsters
- 46:22publishing, and he was gracious enough to put me in his book. I've
- 46:27got like, I think I've got like two pages or something like that,
- 46:30which is amazing because I never thought I'd be in a book. But you
- 46:32know, so one of those things right, well, because I was I
- 46:38wasn't really trying to you know, that was like that was something that was
- 46:44further from my mind, like I was think of dogm I was thinking more
- 46:45sasquatch anything else. But you know how I found this, I have to
- 46:50have to really give credit to my to my youngest daughter. She was somebody
- 46:53that found a trackway. We just a little quick backstory here. We were.
- 46:59We went to a park. It was a wilderness park that's low and
- 47:00behold connected to that that creek. And I said, you know, okay,
- 47:06Rod, it's family time. Turned the big foot thing off. Let's
- 47:08have fun. We're just there to chill out. And of course I can't
- 47:12do that because that's just it's ingrained in me type of thing. And she
- 47:15ended up finding a trackway and we followed it down into a holler and man,
- 47:24she and when we got into this holler, there was it was like
- 47:30there was like so many wood structures, like six or seven we had found
- 47:32right and they were within just feet of each other. Just crazy, just
- 47:37we were freaking out over this plus over this stuff. And it started getting
- 47:42it started getting dusky dark, and she kept on telling me she's like,
- 47:47let's go, let's go, let's go. I'm like, wait, hold
- 47:49on, me and myself. I'm trying to, you know, document things.
- 47:52I'm just like, oh, my mind is just going all over.
- 47:54It's like, oh my gosh, look at all this. I'm just you
- 47:57know. And she said, oh, let's go, let's go. I'm
- 47:59like, who what, What's going on. She's like, I don't feel
- 48:01right. I feel like something is watching me. I feel like something is
- 48:05watching. We got it, and she was very scared, and I thought,
- 48:08okay, we got to go. I gotta listen to my wife and
- 48:12my daughter. We got to get out of here. And it was very
- 48:14interesting. She did so. Right before we took off, I just happened
- 48:20to look down, and when I looked down, there was this print,
- 48:23this three toed print that was there, and it was big. It was
- 48:27a good size, and so I snapped a few photos of it real quick,
- 48:31one with my shoeck my boot next to it, which is a size
- 48:34ten, and then by itself, and it was the most peculiar thing I'd
- 48:39ever seen. Now. I didn't get a chance to go further and look
- 48:43even more because she wanted to leave. She was scared. So you know,
- 48:47obviously you have to protect your children, protect your your family. I
- 48:51did that, you know. So I snapped that picture. I said it
- 48:53to Aaron, and Aaron was like, dude, this is crazy. Oh
- 48:57my, I can't believe you found something like I have no idea what I'm
- 49:00looking at. So he had conveyed to me that this is something that people
- 49:06had. It lines up with basically a ledged prints that people have found with
- 49:09dog Man. So that's how I got into that to the book and ultimately
- 49:15into the to the documentary as well. Right, okay, so three toad
- 49:20prints are so odd? All right, y'all brod whenever we find it.
- 49:24We found three toad prints. And there are guys on my team. I've
- 49:27never found a three toad print before personally, but some of the guys on
- 49:30my teams have and uh, and there's so many things that go through your
- 49:34head when you're looking at a three toad gigantic print like that. It's like,
- 49:37okay, what is this a reptilian? What do we have a dog
- 49:40man? You know, It's it's like we're not out there looking for lizard
- 49:45man or dog Man, but we're out there looking doing big foot filled research.
- 49:50But like you said earlier, we have to keep an open mind about
- 49:52everything because you just don't know what you're going to come across. Yeah,
- 49:54exactly, Dragonfly, thank you for that supersticker, and Kira, thank you
- 49:59for that super chain as well. I appreciate that. Yeah, okay,
- 50:02So, uh the three toad print? How long? How long of a
- 50:07track was that? Like? How long was the print? I've read how
- 50:09many so so I can't actually I can't remember exact because I didn't have like
- 50:15any I didn't have anything with me. It was like family time, you
- 50:20know. So yeah, I want to say I want to say it was
- 50:24probably about golly, about six inches long kind of and and it was deep
- 50:35to the digits were deep. I've never seen a canine print that big at
- 50:42all, or anything in that area at all. Like, it was very
- 50:45interesting. Now, the trackway we found was actually a linear trackway, and
- 50:51it was it was like of the sasquatch variety type of trackway. And again
- 50:58it was one of those things where I try to shut everything off and I
- 51:02couldn't, and we started just walk walking and finding this stuff down in this
- 51:07holler because of that trackway. Now, at the end of it that three
- 51:15toed print was not a part of what I believe to be some of the
- 51:19Sasquatch prints that we found in that linear fashion. Uh So you know,
- 51:24I wasn't able to go any further only because she was very adamant that there
- 51:30was something watching her and it really it really freaked her out. So I
- 51:35had to I had to leave quick. And right as I left, I
- 51:37was like, oh, oh my gosh, like I couldn't believe it,
- 51:39Like I was right there, like right there, like one of the odds.
- 51:44I don't I have no idea, but I snapped those pictures and and
- 51:47the rest is history. So they say, wow, Okay, So that's
- 51:52that's something that I'm very I'm very animate about that about if you're if you're
- 51:58you get a bad feeling, you go with your gut. Okay, if
- 52:00someday's telling you to get out of there, get out of there, okay,
- 52:04don't don't get caught slipping. Okay, don't get caught slipping. And
- 52:08and yeah, it's just really it's all about because she was picking up on
- 52:12some kind of frequency, okay something so potentially it could have been like infrasound,
- 52:16or it could could have just been her gut like that fight or flight.
- 52:20Uh. And she's a very she's a very sensitive kid, and she's
- 52:23very sensitive to people. And even if I'm having a bad day and I've
- 52:30never I've not said anything about it, she'll know. She'll come up and
- 52:34hug me, and she knows. So you know, there's yeah, absolutely
- 52:38I agree with you on that. Oh yeah, oh yeah, I got
- 52:40a kid he does. He did the same for me today. He came.
- 52:44He knows when I'm feeling down, He'll come give me a hug and
- 52:45a kiss. So it's a beautiful thing, it is. Yeah. Now,
- 52:50Adolf was asking how deep was the pall print? You think inches wise?
- 52:54Was it pretty deep? But just like it had some weight to it?
- 52:57Right what it was? It looked like it had some weight to it.
- 53:00I don't know exactly how deep the print was. I can tell you
- 53:05that it was substantially it had some weight. It wasn't anything I could really
- 53:10cast because the dirt. If you know anything about my neck of the woods
- 53:15in San Antonio, we have a lot of hard ground. We have Calichi
- 53:19rock underneath our soil and it's very very hard. So anything that makes a
- 53:24print as far as you know, any intention, I don't care how deep
- 53:30it is. In our neck of the woods. You got to have some
- 53:35weight to make this happen. And by the way, this was this when
- 53:39this happened. When I found this, you know, it hadn't rained the
- 53:44day before. There was no rain inside, so the ground was soft.
- 53:49So something that made that print made it with some substantial weight. But I
- 53:54don't know exactly how deep it was. I did not have time to really
- 54:00pull out all my tools and things like that that we usually do. Yeah,
- 54:02that's awesome. I bet you've got a few casted prints around your house
- 54:06somewhere. I bet you do. Oh, you got one right there,
- 54:13amazing. Check that out. Is that from Bear County, YEP. This
- 54:19is one of my areas. This is about a year old. I suspect
- 54:23this might be a female because right next right by it, around close to
- 54:30it was a smaller, like juvenile looking type of print. So that's good.
- 54:38And I like to show those because our ground is, like I said,
- 54:43is very hard. Now, in contrast to that, you've got Michael
- 54:45Freeman, Paul Freeman's son, who has written the Freeman Files. And you
- 54:52know that's Washington State because the dirt is soil is a lot softer, and
- 54:55this is this is one of the Freemen prints, right, So it's very
- 55:02different from what I find. And I like to show this because in contrast,
- 55:08our ground is hard. This is different soil than what you find.
- 55:13So you know, this is something that I like. I definitely like to
- 55:17show people because they go, well, why don't you cast these prints?
- 55:21Like you don't understand. Oh, we we we live on a hard ground
- 55:24and something that makes that has weight, that does something like this where I
- 55:29can cast it is very rare, very rare. So yeah, not a
- 55:34lot of mud and stuff. But you said that you do do some of
- 55:37your research around a creek, and uh and a lot of times we we'll
- 55:40get prints around the creeks, okay, And and that's that's a little bit
- 55:44softer than just the normal you know, walking on the side of a road
- 55:46or down a trail or something. Yeah. Wow, oh my gosh,
- 55:51Rod, I have so much more I want to talk to you about.
- 55:53But we have come to the end of the hour. Can you believe this?
- 55:58It went by so fast? Okay quick? Can we can you tell
