- 0:02Speaker 1: Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Mellencamp and Tamara Judge.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hi, guys.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Welcome to another episode of Two Teas in a Pod
- 0:16Speaker 3: with myself, Teddy Mellencamp and.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Dolores Catania.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Hi.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Hey, guys. I'm so happy that you're here. Thanks for
- 0:25Speaker 1: coming early.
- 0:26Speaker 2: You don't have to thank me. I'm so excited that
- 0:28Speaker 2: you're going to see the show. I know.
- 0:31Speaker 3: So I'm excited that I may, I feel up to
- 0:33Speaker 3: like staying at the horse show, going there and seeing.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Slate, but she's so funny. She's like, mom, where are
- 0:38Speaker 1: you going to stay?
- 0:39Speaker 3: Because I've already planned to stay with my friend Addy tonight.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I'm like, Oh, okay. Thank you. Um, no worry.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I asked my friend Tracy, like I'll stay with her.
- 0:50Speaker 3: And then tomorrow night when you need me, I'll stay
- 0:52Speaker 3: with you.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Like that's, That never ends. Now you just like sit
- 0:57Speaker 2: in the corner and wait for them to tell you
- 0:59Speaker 2: you could speak or talk like or engage.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Or show a picture of them. God forbid I show
- 1:05Speaker 3: a picture of Slate.
- 1:07Speaker 2: By the way, people have said to me, how come
- 1:11Speaker 2: you don't post your kids? Because they won't let me.
- 1:15Speaker 3: No, like the second I get my phone out, they're like,
- 1:18Speaker 3: you better not put this on Instagram.
- 1:20Speaker 2: They don't realize it's part of our job. I've heard
- 1:24Speaker 2: of paying for your horse. Hello.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I'm like, come on. She'll let me post horse videos,
- 1:30Speaker 1: but that's it.
- 1:31Speaker 3: But, but that, cause it's behooves her because then I
- 1:33Speaker 3: tag her and then sponsors want to sponsor her. And
- 1:37Speaker 3: so now she's her own little mini micro influencer.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I love that. Oh, good for her. Yeah. Okay.
- 1:44Speaker 3: So this, I want to get into with you because
- 1:46Speaker 3: I'm curious if this is an age demographic thing, or
- 1:49Speaker 3: this is.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Like truly I'm just that far out of the loop.
- 1:53Speaker 3: But last night Valley and I were talking about like
- 1:57Speaker 3: the stages of, you know, when you meet somebody and
- 2:01Speaker 3: how it goes.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And he, so he said, this is the stages.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I'd love to hear this.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I was, I was dying because I was like, because
- 2:10Speaker 1: I go Valley guy.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I was like Valley guy. I just tell people I'm
- 2:13Speaker 3: dating you. And he's like, you say dating. And I'm like,
- 2:16Speaker 3: what do you say? So that's how it, it all
- 2:20Speaker 3: went down. He goes, okay, this is how they go.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Okay. The catalyst to this conversation. Yes.
- 2:27Speaker 3: That's the catalyst to the conversation. Cause I'm like, dating
- 2:30Speaker 3: to me just sounds like it's not boyfriend. It's just dating.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's that. Cause that's exactly what we're doing. And he's like, actually, no.
- 2:39Speaker 1: So here he goes, this is this.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Chain of events alone and doomed recently, single, single dating around,
- 2:48Speaker 3: hooking up, situationship, polyamorous, talking, slash going on dates with
- 2:55Speaker 3: one person that you like, dating, slash boyfriend, girlfriend, engaged, married, divorced, dead.
- 3:03Speaker 2: That's a circle of life.
- 3:05Speaker 1: So I go, so what am I? And he goes, talking,
- 3:09Speaker 1: going on dates with one person. I'm like, that's dating.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Oh, well, listen, going on dates with one person. So
- 3:16Speaker 2: is Valley Young dates with one person.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Too no we're the one person oh okay.
- 3:23Speaker 2: That's what I mean like so.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah like so we're the one person and I you
- 3:27Speaker 1: call that that's why don't you just call it dating
- 3:31Speaker 1: I see I put dating.
- 3:33Speaker 2: That's my boy like if it's one person then do
- 3:36Speaker 2: you say boyfriend.
- 3:37Speaker 3: No boyfriends like that's two I have two more levels
- 3:40Speaker 3: to even get to that.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Oh it's I'm talking to.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It's like belt colors in karate. I was dying.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I was like, and the fact that polyamorous was on
- 3:53Speaker 3: his list and I had to Google what that meant.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Remember from Rhode Island, Kelsey was polyamorous because.
- 4:01Speaker 1: She was having sex with more than one person at
- 4:03Speaker 1: one at the.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Time because he had other girlfriends. Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So you can agree upon that.
- 4:10Speaker 3: But I, I also, I'm really having a hard time
- 4:12Speaker 3: between like, talking, going on dates with one person and dating.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I think that I don't think boyfriend girlfriend should be
- 4:21Speaker 3: with the dating. I think dating should be above it.
- 4:24Speaker 3: And then boyfriend girlfriend is one step below.
- 4:28Speaker 2: No, what? Girlfriend, boyfriend's a, you mean below like, or below,
- 4:34Speaker 2: like it should be higher.
- 4:35Speaker 1: No, like dating is more casual than boyfriend, girlfriend, correct?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:41Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say, but he's like, no,
- 4:42Speaker 1: dating is.
- 4:43Speaker 3: The same as boyfriend, girlfriend. You say talking when you're
- 4:47Speaker 3: not boyfriend, girlfriend.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Well, if I was with someone who I called my
- 4:52Speaker 2: boyfriend and he said, I'm dating Dolores, I would fucking-
- 4:58Speaker 2: lose my shit because just dating means that's a person
- 5:03Speaker 2: you call to just go on a date or go
- 5:05Speaker 2: out with that's not the text in the morning good
- 5:07Speaker 2: morning to me dating is okay i have nobody to
- 5:11Speaker 2: bring to this wedding i'll call the person i go
- 5:15Speaker 2: on dates with so see you're.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Even making it more serious than i am so like
- 5:21Speaker 3: i just consider dating as i'm dating one person i
- 5:23Speaker 3: wouldn't go on a date with somebody else i like
- 5:26Speaker 3: him we're getting to know each other having fun we're
- 5:28Speaker 3: dating He considers that talking to and he considers dating boyfriend, girlfriend,
- 5:34Speaker 3: which I do not.
- 5:35Speaker 2: You know what I think I'm going to have to say?
- 5:38Speaker 2: It's relative to the person. I don't think anything just fits.
- 5:44Speaker 2: These things just fit like what it's how you perceive it.
- 5:48Speaker 3: It's just hilarious because I think it's an age difference
- 5:51Speaker 3: thing because I asked a bunch of my friends last
- 5:53Speaker 3: night and all of them were like, no. Talking and
- 5:57Speaker 3: going on dates with one person makes zero sense as
- 6:01Speaker 3: that being like above.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And then it goes to dating and boyfriend, girlfriend. Like
- 6:05Speaker 1: it's not one than the other. Quick, quick, quick.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I'm going to ask my nephews and nieces. Because when
- 6:11Speaker 2: they say, oh, they're talking. Well, in my mind, I
- 6:14Speaker 2: just picture two people making out and not really giving
- 6:17Speaker 2: a shit about each other.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Well, that's what I figure talking is. Well, also, I
- 6:21Speaker 3: feel like it's a lie. Like we're not just talking.
- 6:27Speaker 3: like my tism yeah like my tism doesn't handle that
- 6:31Speaker 3: I'm like oh.
- 6:32Speaker 2: So we speak only take out the tism that does
- 6:38Speaker 2: don't get us in trouble okay let's call you your
- 6:41Speaker 2: type A what was that thing you go to the doctors.
- 6:44Speaker 1: For OCD and being a perfectionist.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah so your perfectionism doesn't It's not, that's
- 6:53Speaker 2: not okay. No, because it has to be specific with you. Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Cause it's, I'm very specific. I'm very clear. Like what
- 7:00Speaker 1: the word means, it means something to me.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Like, so if I were to talk to my dad
- 7:06Speaker 3: and he were like, are you still hanging out? Are
- 7:09Speaker 3: you still going on dates with that guy? And I
- 7:12Speaker 3: were to say to him, uh, yeah, we're talking. He'd
- 7:17Speaker 3: be like, what do you mean you're talking? Have you
- 7:19Speaker 3: never hooked up?
- 7:20Speaker 1: And I'd be like, well, that's not what I said.
- 7:22Speaker 2: But talking means talking.
- 7:26Speaker 1: That's what I said. OK, great.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I'm glad we're on the same page because he thinks
- 7:30Speaker 3: that's a 35 and over thing.
- 7:33Speaker 2: No, I mean, you know what it is, Teddy, I'm
- 7:35Speaker 2: going to tell you just I think that you hang
- 7:39Speaker 2: on to like the word has to mean what you're saying,
- 7:42Speaker 2: like you'd probably get along with Paul because I hate
- 7:44Speaker 2: that I have to explain when I mumble or when
- 7:47Speaker 2: I just throw a word out there. Like, don't make
- 7:49Speaker 2: me do that. Don't be so specific.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I'm specific. Like if you say a word, it's very
- 7:54Speaker 1: literal to the word you're saying.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yes. But you know, I think that follows through with you.
- 8:00Speaker 2: When you say you're someone's friend, you're their friend. Things
- 8:03Speaker 2: mean stuff to you. I used to be like that too.
- 8:07Speaker 1: But like also if I were just talking, like I'm
- 8:09Speaker 1: talking to you right now. Like that's how literal I am.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I hate the word talking when you refer to it
- 8:14Speaker 2: in a relationship.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Like I am talking to you right now. So how
- 8:19Speaker 1: in the world could.
- 8:21Speaker 3: I be talking to somebody else that I'm going on
- 8:23Speaker 3: dates with and having physical interaction?
- 8:26Speaker 2: I think through generations, different words mean different things. And
- 8:31Speaker 2: I can think of some if I had a memory,
- 8:33Speaker 2: but there are words that have changed over generations for
- 8:38Speaker 2: different meanings.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I also love that he writes, Dating, boyfriend, girlfriend, engaged, married, divorced, dead.
- 8:46Speaker 2: He's cute.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But anyways, I was like, I'll ask Dolores. And he's like,
- 8:54Speaker 1: she's in your age demographic. She's going to agree with you.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Shut up, Valley. Shut up, Valley guy.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Doesn't mean I don't know. But I agree with Teddy.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So maybe you're right. Yeah.
- 9:06Speaker 1: So that's one thing. But speaking of alone and doomed.
- 9:09Speaker 2: That's a generational thing. So to the point of how
- 9:12Speaker 2: this all started, yes, it's a generational thing.
- 9:15Speaker 3: It's a generational thing. And I'm 45 years old. I
- 9:17Speaker 3: don't talk like that. Like, it's just not, I'm not
- 9:22Speaker 3: going to, like, also he didn't even put in there
- 9:26Speaker 3: in a relationship. Like to me, that is one of
- 9:29Speaker 3: the things, like a boyfriend, girlfriend, like that is a thing.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I would, I would be very satisfied if a guy
- 9:35Speaker 2: that I liked who I was talking to said that
- 9:39Speaker 2: we were in a relationship. It wouldn't mean a lot
- 9:41Speaker 2: to me.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I don't need that right now, but
- 9:44Speaker 3: I need him to at least be clear on his phrasing.
- 9:59Speaker 1: But you know who's not talking anymore?
- 10:01Speaker 2: Who? Danny. I saw that.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Danny!
- 10:07Speaker 2: Did you predict that was going to happen?
- 10:10Speaker 1: We totally knew that was going to happen. Danny and
- 10:14Speaker 1: Carmella broke up.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So... Danny and Carmella... So here's the thing. She keeps saying...
- 10:25Speaker 2: that I saw her with um page six right yeah
- 10:29Speaker 2: Danny and Evan were talking to her and she keeps
- 10:33Speaker 2: saying that um she just couldn't trust him and then
- 10:39Speaker 2: she found him that there were he was still not
- 10:42Speaker 2: being truthful about certain things so can I just say
- 10:45Speaker 2: this yes I think she was just.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Over him you could kind of tell she was over
- 10:51Speaker 3: him in the episode so we'll get into that later
- 10:53Speaker 3: but the fact that they've announced this before this episode,
- 10:56Speaker 3: I think it makes sense.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Like this little press, like, you know, we're done.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah. So I, I just think that, yeah, I don't know.
- 11:08Speaker 2: She's like, I loved him dearly and all this stuff.
- 11:10Speaker 2: We'll get to that because there was something that I
- 11:14Speaker 2: kind of had hit a nerve with me when she
- 11:16Speaker 2: was speaking to him at the dinner. Yeah. I felt like,
- 11:22Speaker 2: I think that, She just wants to get out now.
- 11:25Speaker 2: But anyway, we'll get to that.
- 11:26Speaker 1: We'll get to that. So it starts out in La Quinta.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Vicky tells Jen and Emily she meant for the crew
- 11:32Speaker 1: to leave, not them. What are your thoughts on this?
- 11:35Speaker 1: I know, like, you're.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Very different about your beliefs on this. So I don't
- 11:38Speaker 3: want to piss you off. So you go first.
- 11:41Speaker 2: What do you mean I'm different?
- 11:44Speaker 1: No, you thought the girls were pushing out of the
- 11:46Speaker 1: whole time. I do.
- 11:48Speaker 2: And here's why. Okay. She's been out of this for
- 11:52Speaker 2: a long time. I'm not going to like, really, I don't,
- 11:55Speaker 2: I don't, I'm not taking a side because I probably
- 11:58Speaker 2: wouldn't hang around with her and I wouldn't be going
- 12:00Speaker 2: to her house. I don't go to people's houses that
- 12:01Speaker 2: I like who are actually very hospitable. And I don't
- 12:06Speaker 2: like people telling me what to do. However, they know
- 12:11Speaker 2: what she is. She's been out of this for quite
- 12:13Speaker 2: some time. It's very hard to all the stuff that
- 12:15Speaker 2: you got back into to pull your life away from
- 12:20Speaker 2: the work and the routine that you built up to
- 12:22Speaker 2: just stop out of nowhere. So she's still in that
- 12:26Speaker 2: mode and they know this about her. So why do
- 12:31Speaker 2: they not just accept that? And I mean, honestly, she's
- 12:34Speaker 2: not there for conversation, Vicki.
- 12:37Speaker 1: But that's what people are there. That's what the show is.
- 12:41Speaker 3: It's about conversation and dialogue and talking to.
- 12:47Speaker 2: And also the sacrificial lamb. that you bring on so
- 12:51Speaker 2: you can kind of say, all right, there's the mess.
- 12:54Speaker 2: That'll probably be the drama this year.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Well, this is what I, so, you know, they're hustling
- 12:59Speaker 3: around in their room, in their pajamas, putting sweaters over
- 13:02Speaker 3: their matching jammies to get ready to go to Uber home.
- 13:06Speaker 3: And then they walk into the kitchen and all of
- 13:09Speaker 3: a sudden all the food's made.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I'm like, who did, who made this food? When and where?
- 13:14Speaker 2: It's very, it wasn't, you know, there was no continuity
- 13:17Speaker 2: there unless Shannon did. She's out there by herself.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Shannon's out there doing the Lord's work.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So Shannon's just like, well, fuck it. You know,
- 13:27Speaker 2: Mike's in the room with Vicky. And the other two
- 13:30Speaker 2: are rustling through their stuff to try to see what
- 13:33Speaker 2: cute sweater to throw over their cute pajamas. And they're
- 13:37Speaker 2: all offended. Meanwhile, they poke the bear the whole time.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Even though she's rude. Vicky's rude. She's rude to them.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I would poke the bear.
- 13:44Speaker 3: If somebody was rude to me like that, I would
- 13:46Speaker 3: either get in a fight with them and I'd be like,
- 13:48Speaker 3: go fuck yourself.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Right. Kindly.
- 13:51Speaker 1: With a cheese grater, as Ariana would say. Or just I.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Would poke right back and hope that they exploded because
- 14:00Speaker 3: like there's no reason for somebody to be that rude
- 14:03Speaker 3: to somebody.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Stop talking. Could you imagine?
- 14:07Speaker 2: Stop talking. Shush.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Dolores, be quiet.
- 14:10Speaker 2: And I would laugh in her face because it's Vicky.
- 14:12Speaker 2: It's not like the normal person telling you to shut up.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Like you shush me. You're normal. Well, you're my friend.
- 14:19Speaker 2: So I would let you get away with it. But
- 14:21Speaker 2: like other people like shush that you expect to beat,
- 14:24Speaker 2: not treat everyone like that. That's Vicky's shtick.
- 14:28Speaker 3: But I don't think it's a shtick. I think it's like,
- 14:31Speaker 3: it's truly where she is right now. But I mean,
- 14:33Speaker 3: I know we could go around and around in circles,
- 14:35Speaker 3: but they, the girls are wanting to leave and, You
- 14:39Speaker 3: can tell Shannon is pretty. Yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Well, Shannon's pretty distraught about the whole thing. Shannon's trying to,
- 14:44Speaker 1: you know, be on both sides right now.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Very nice. This episode.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Shannon was very nice.
- 14:51Speaker 3: But then the girls decide they're they come out again
- 14:55Speaker 3: and they're like, actually, we're not even going to eat.
- 14:57Speaker 1: We're just going to Uber home.
- 14:59Speaker 2: And anyway, what's the date for the pizza? I would
- 15:03Speaker 2: have been like, I don't fucking like you anyway. I'm
- 15:05Speaker 2: not going to like you any less if I don't
- 15:07Speaker 2: eat my pizza. I'm going to finish my pizza.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Know what I was upset about?
- 15:13Speaker 2: What?
- 15:14Speaker 1: That there was no car cams in that Uber.
- 15:18Speaker 2: There wasn't.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Because you know that or like, let's get the Uber
- 15:22Speaker 3: driver on the pod because we know he's got shit
- 15:25Speaker 3: to tell us about whatever they said on.
- 15:26Speaker 1: That way home.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Listen to me. I can only imagine. They were probably
- 15:32Speaker 2: so happy to go back home. They didn't care. They
- 15:35Speaker 2: didn't want to stay there. The energy sucks.
- 15:38Speaker 3: The energy, but that's my point. The energy sucks. Mike
- 15:41Speaker 3: comes in, he makes it uncomfortable. He's still there. Um,
- 15:45Speaker 3: Vicki pours herself like a Magnum glass of red wine.
- 15:48Speaker 3: And then I looked around and I'm like, not even
- 15:50Speaker 3: Shannon's drinking right now.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Like what's happening? Like, this is, this is all a lot.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Um, But so that's this chaos is happening over in
- 16:01Speaker 3: La Quinta. But then over in Los Olivos, we've got
- 16:05Speaker 3: Carmela telling Heather, Gina and Tamara that she doesn't think
- 16:08Speaker 3: Mike even has a ring.
- 16:10Speaker 1: So at this point, this is what I think. These
- 16:12Speaker 1: are girls prodding each other to make jokes.
- 16:28Speaker 3: So once they're in Los Olivos, Carmela, they're all kind
- 16:31Speaker 3: of just sitting by the fire pit. But you can
- 16:33Speaker 3: tell these girls are having a nice time together. This
- 16:35Speaker 3: is what I watch the show for. And then the
- 16:38Speaker 3: little jokes and the digs and whatever that they're saying
- 16:42Speaker 3: is making me laugh. Like Gina even being like, right?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Right, Carmela? Isn't that what you'd say about Vicky? Like
- 16:51Speaker 1: all of it made me laugh. Carmela has had some beverages.
- 16:56Speaker 1: So she's like you with beverages.
- 16:59Speaker 3: I love I love, you know, someone that's just like Lucy,
- 17:02Speaker 3: like not and not ticking around with any kind of mixer.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Just I'll just have some vodka water.
- 17:08Speaker 3: But at this moment, Carmela tells the groups, I don't
- 17:14Speaker 3: even think that Mike has a ring.
- 17:17Speaker 1: And everyone's like, do you think that he has a ring?
- 17:21Speaker 2: No, no. At what point? At this age, do you
- 17:26Speaker 2: go buy a ring and then just not give it?
- 17:27Speaker 2: Get the hell out of here. For what? He's punishing her?
- 17:31Speaker 2: I don't think he's nice to her. And I think
- 17:33Speaker 2: that's a big part of why she's so down and out. Sorry.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I think.
- 17:38Speaker 3: And also, I think dangling a ring in front of
- 17:40Speaker 3: somebody is very bizarre.
- 17:43Speaker 2: People do that. I've had it done to me a
- 17:47Speaker 2: lot of times, but I'm too wise to it. So
- 17:49Speaker 2: you can't do it to me.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Well, this is also like weird personal story.
- 17:53Speaker 3: But when I was dating Edwin and we had been
- 17:56Speaker 3: together a couple of years and he was like it
- 18:00Speaker 3: was the day before Christmas and he came in and
- 18:02Speaker 3: he was like, hey, I just wanted to give you
- 18:05Speaker 3: a heads up.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, what?
- 18:06Speaker 3: And he's like, you know, I just don't think that
- 18:11Speaker 3: I believe in marriage and I can get married. I
- 18:14Speaker 3: just want you to know. And I'm like, OK, I'm
- 18:17Speaker 3: going to go into the other room. I'm not going
- 18:20Speaker 3: to give you any like ultimatums at this point, but
- 18:22Speaker 3: I'm going to go into the other room and I
- 18:24Speaker 3: do not want you to follow me. I'm going to
- 18:26Speaker 3: drink wine. I'm going to call my friends. I'm going
- 18:27Speaker 3: to cry. I'm going to go through all this. And
- 18:32Speaker 3: I'm not going to ruin the Christmas with Bella and
- 18:35Speaker 3: your family. So like, I'll show up tomorrow, but like,
- 18:37Speaker 3: that's where we're, that's, that's the end of this. You know,
- 18:41Speaker 3: like I'm not, I'm not going to just have a
- 18:43Speaker 3: kid with you and not be married. I don't believe
- 18:45Speaker 3: in that. And yeah, Then the next day he's like
- 18:49Speaker 3: calling me all over the place. I made myself very scarce.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Like I was like, nope, nope.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Can't find me. Not going to be able to find
- 18:55Speaker 1: me anywhere.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I'll be there at five o'clock. And so I
- 19:00Speaker 3: texted him back. I'm like, I'll be there at five.
- 19:01Speaker 3: When you said that your parents are getting to the
- 19:03Speaker 3: house that night, he proposed.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Right. And you know, sometimes you have to do that. Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 3: But like, Why do we really think he wasn't going
- 19:15Speaker 3: to like he zipped over on Christmas Eve and got
- 19:18Speaker 3: my ring?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Like, it's so weird.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Well, you could buy a ring any time. So you
- 19:25Speaker 2: think he had a ring when he said that to you?
- 19:27Speaker 1: No, I don't think he had the ring.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I think somehow he got Neil Lane to open its
- 19:32Speaker 3: doors to get the ring because he was like, shit,
- 19:35Speaker 3: she's not having this.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Right. Yeah, he gave it a try. He gave it
- 19:42Speaker 2: to the wrong person. I would have been like, yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 2: but I never asked you for that. So. uh, yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Don't flatter yourself that you have to have this conversation
- 19:53Speaker 2: with me. Bitch. Like I get so like, Ooh, that I,
- 19:59Speaker 2: I suppress everything. I shut down and I walk away
- 20:03Speaker 2: and I'm like, yeah, whatever. Don't care. But you were right.
- 20:07Speaker 2: What you did was 100% right. The minute that Vicky,
- 20:11Speaker 2: that this guy said, I have a ring for you,
- 20:14Speaker 2: but I'm not giving it to you because you haven't
- 20:17Speaker 2: not pissed me off in long enough time.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Is the minute that Vicky should have walked away.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that's where it's like, don't play games with me.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I don't have time for this shit. And I got
- 20:29Speaker 3: to tell you, if Edward had waited a couple weeks
- 20:32Speaker 3: in between proposing in that conversation, I would have been gone.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Right. And he knew that. Edwin knew that.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 3: But it's just like, I mean, I know that things
- 20:44Speaker 3: are different, but also like, come on, dude, don't tell her.
- 20:49Speaker 1: You have a ring.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Did she pick out the ring? Has she seen the ring? Like,
- 20:53Speaker 3: does the ring just sit there on like the countertop
- 20:56Speaker 3: as like being dangled on a little string?
- 20:58Speaker 1: Like what's happening?
- 21:00Speaker 2: I just feel bad. I like there's a part of
- 21:02Speaker 2: me that feels bad for Vicky. I do.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Well, later I start to feel bad.
- 21:10Speaker 3: But Carmela, as she's like saying all this and she's
- 21:13Speaker 3: kind of being a little snarky and has a little
- 21:16Speaker 3: bit of liquid courage.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I'm like, this is the way you need to be
- 21:19Speaker 1: in front of Vicky.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Not behind her back.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Listen, I think that we will see more of Carmela.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I think Carmela is a good housewife. I think that
- 21:30Speaker 2: we're just getting started. I like the fact that we
- 21:34Speaker 2: haven't seen all of her yet. Yeah. And I like
- 21:38Speaker 2: the fact to know that we could get her drunk
- 21:40Speaker 2: and she can absolutely.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Say something she never said. Yeah. And then the next
- 21:47Speaker 1: morning wake up and be like, did I really say that?
- 21:50Speaker 2: You can't put the toothpaste back. And there's no other
- 21:58Speaker 2: universe more true than this one. Yeah.
- 22:03Speaker 3: So, I mean, but I did enjoy seeing the Las
- 22:05Speaker 3: Olivas girls having fun and, like, laughing.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Meanwhile, we know all hell is breaking loose in the desert. Oh, yeah.
- 22:14Speaker 1: The next morning, Shannon tries to explain that Vicky and Jen....
- 22:20Speaker 3: Shannon tries to explain to Vicky that Jen and Emily
- 22:22Speaker 3: were upset. Vicky said they should have moved on, as
- 22:25Speaker 3: she did with the Debbie Downer comment.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Well, they flash back to her not moving on. I
- 22:31Speaker 2: don't think that Vicky's... Very self-aware.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Well, of course she isn't. But still, you're on a show. Like,
- 22:40Speaker 1: you've got to.
- 22:43Speaker 2: But she's just back after... What was her hiatus from this?
- 22:48Speaker 1: I think it was like... Was it six years? Five years?
- 22:51Speaker 2: A long time.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Six years.
- 22:54Speaker 2: That's a long time.
- 22:55Speaker 3: But she came on as a friend of multiple times.
- 22:59Speaker 3: And she did this while she was a friend of
- 23:02Speaker 3: as well.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Like I'm working. Fair enough.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I didn't know that piece of information.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yeah. So 2019 was her last time as a housewife.
- 23:13Speaker 2: So it's a long time.
- 23:15Speaker 1: It's a long time.
- 23:17Speaker 3: But then when Vicki's like, well, I went through the
- 23:20Speaker 3: math and those girls owe me money.
- 23:23Speaker 1: She's like the pool. Hold on. I think I took
- 23:28Speaker 1: a screenshot. It doesn't matter.
- 23:30Speaker 2: She I did the math, too, and she owes them
- 23:32Speaker 2: 100 bucks. Because the Uber home, because of the way
- 23:37Speaker 2: she was acting, cost them $ 100 more than she says
- 23:41Speaker 2: they owe them. She said they owe.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Her $ 250 each.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That becomes $ 500. Their Uber home was $ 600. I thought
- 23:45Speaker 2: the Uber home was $ 490. Okay. All right.
- 23:47Speaker 3: So then.
- 23:47Speaker 2: But I love that this is what she's counting as
- 23:49Speaker 2: this expensive... I don't know. I'm trying to act like
- 24:02Speaker 2: I do math. I don't even know.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Gas, pizzas, appetizers, heating the pool, quiches, and gift bags.
- 24:09Speaker 1: As if those gift bags weren't free. Please.
- 24:13Speaker 2: It doesn't. Yeah, but listen. I just like it's a
- 24:19Speaker 2: mess over there.
- 24:21Speaker 1: But if you invite somebody over.
- 24:23Speaker 2: There's a lot going on.
- 24:25Speaker 3: There's a lot going on. But I was definitely kind
- 24:27Speaker 3: of laughing. What would we have done if Vicky, if
- 24:30Speaker 3: Shannon would have when she was being Vicky's assistant, just
- 24:33Speaker 3: done a Venmo request to all the girls for 250 bucks.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Wait, that was Shannon's time to say, well, I get
- 24:43Speaker 2: $ 35 an hour as an assistant. So it's four hours
- 24:47Speaker 2: to get home. So you owe me $ 140.
- 24:49Speaker 3: And Shannon's like too scared to even be like, so
- 24:52Speaker 3: when are we leaving?
- 24:53Speaker 1: Because I've got a doctor's appointment.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Shannon, like, Seems like this. And I know Shannon's a
- 25:00Speaker 2: lot of different Shannons. This is like the little like
- 25:05Speaker 2: sweet Shannon kind of trying to help her friend and trying,
- 25:11Speaker 2: you know, that right now her friend's not defendable and
- 25:13Speaker 2: she's kind of trying to.
- 25:15Speaker 3: But her friend isn't even being nice to her at
- 25:17Speaker 3: this moment. No, it's not like Vicky's like, thank you, Shannon.
- 25:22Speaker 3: She's like, oh, well, you have their back.
- 25:24Speaker 1: So she ever nice.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Well, I think she's nice later in the episode when
- 25:31Speaker 3: she's with the Vicki Gunvalson whisperer, Tamara.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I was like, excuse me.
- 25:41Speaker 3: But before we get to that, we're back in OC
- 25:48Speaker 3: because the girls left early and Emily and Shane bicker
- 25:53Speaker 3: about Luke's treatment and the chores and Shane wants the
- 25:55Speaker 3: kids to to feel appreciated for all he does around
- 25:58Speaker 3: the house with the kids.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I mean, this is what's bound to happen.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 1: None of this surprises me. But honestly, if somebody.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Didn't take the trash out and then got mad at
- 26:12Speaker 3: me because I didn't put the new.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Trash bag in, I'd be pissed.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Is that what it is, though?
- 26:19Speaker 3: No, I think it's just he's always trying to make
- 26:23Speaker 3: her feel like he's doing the most.
- 26:27Speaker 2: He is.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Right. But she's working.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Right. So here's the thing. I think he's looking for
- 26:39Speaker 2: her to sit. Words mean a lot to me, right?
- 26:44Speaker 2: A little kindness goes a long way for me. And
- 26:47Speaker 2: I think he's looking for her to say, you're amazing.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Thank you so much. a little affection, things like that. Yeah,
- 26:58Speaker 2: I heard a couple episodes ago they had sex. She
- 27:02Speaker 2: bangs him now because when you like yourself, you want
- 27:05Speaker 2: to have sex, right? Yeah. More than ever. So it's
- 27:07Speaker 2: not even about him. She just likes the way she
- 27:09Speaker 2: looks probably. But at the same time, I mean, I'm
- 27:14Speaker 2: being honest, you know.
- 27:15Speaker 1: That's so good.
- 27:18Speaker 2: But she's just not saying to him, like he's like
- 27:21Speaker 2: doing all this And he she just he just wants
- 27:25Speaker 2: her to say, thank you. Thank you. You're great. You're great.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Look at you. I have the best husband. You know,
- 27:33Speaker 2: sometimes people want to hear that. And she has a
- 27:35Speaker 2: hard time.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Well, I think she takes it as a diss to
- 27:39Speaker 1: her as a mother. There's which I don't.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:43Speaker 3: I don't think I don't I don't think that Emily
- 27:46Speaker 3: is a bad mother in any way.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I don't think he's saying she's a bad mother. But
- 27:49Speaker 1: I think they're just not seeing eye to eye on this.
- 27:52Speaker 2: That's the way she's feeling it.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the way she's taking it. So that's why
- 27:56Speaker 3: she's jumping down his throat each time this happens.
- 27:59Speaker 2: What I see here is what's hard for him is
- 28:02Speaker 2: for him to say what he wants to hear her say.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Because once you have to do that, it's already too late.
- 28:08Speaker 2: If you have to say to somebody and look at
- 28:10Speaker 2: them and say, can you tell me I'm pretty, please?
- 28:13Speaker 2: Can you tell me I'm the greatest thing that ever
- 28:15Speaker 2: happened to you? Can you just give me something? Cause
- 28:17Speaker 2: I need it. He seemed kind of down and out there.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Like I thought, Oh, am I always liking the people
- 28:24Speaker 2: that no one else likes? I don't understand it.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Well, then what, where he lost me is once he
- 28:28Speaker 3: got on the phone and he started laughing while she
- 28:31Speaker 3: was still talking, I was like kind of a dick move.
- 28:33Speaker 1: You don't really need to do that.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Right.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Then he became a dick because you get defensive. They're, they're,
- 28:39Speaker 2: they're not communicating.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Well, they're not communicating.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Well, But then we move on from that. We go
- 28:46Speaker 3: to the ladies meet for lunches to debrief their separate trips.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Tamara and Jen are together. And then Emily, Carmela and
- 28:53Speaker 3: Shannon are together.
- 28:54Speaker 2: The biggest shame of this. It's in Yiddish. They say
- 29:00Speaker 2: it's a Shonda. Why did they split these up? If
- 29:06Speaker 2: I would have loved to see Vicky unravel in front
- 29:11Speaker 2: of Tamara, and everybody else and seeing what everyone else
- 29:15Speaker 2: did when she was acting that way. I know. We
- 29:19Speaker 2: have to split them up. One goes to a boring trip,
- 29:21Speaker 2: riding bikes in some Swedish village. And then the other
- 29:25Speaker 2: one are here. All the shit's going down. We needed
- 29:30Speaker 2: everybody there for this.
- 29:32Speaker 3: We needed boots on the ground to get.
- 29:35Speaker 1: To the.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Bottom. Would the, Vicky Whisperer have jumped in and said, wait,
- 29:42Speaker 2: let's give her some grace here. I want to talk
- 29:44Speaker 2: to her. I want to pull her on the side.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Or would everybody have just like jumped on the bandwagon
- 29:50Speaker 2: and said, fuck you. Or, like, I would have loved
- 29:53Speaker 2: to had seen all this go down. Come on.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I think the recap definitely should... If they wanted.
- 29:59Speaker 3: To exclude Vicky on this lunch because they needed to
- 30:02Speaker 3: recap her actions without her, fine.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Fine.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Wait, but you can exclude people from conversations in their
- 30:11Speaker 2: own home. We've done it for 20 years on Housewives.
- 30:14Speaker 3: I understand, but, like, the fact that they even had
- 30:18Speaker 3: Tamara and Jen separated and, like, Emily and Shannon and
- 30:26Speaker 3: Carmela separated. It was a little bit.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I see where they're going with this. They're trying to... Well,
- 30:35Speaker 2: first of all, they have to split up the Siamese twins,
- 30:39Speaker 2: Gina and Emily. They have to split them up. Okay?
- 30:43Speaker 3: And.
- 30:44Speaker 2: They have to try to make them find relationships within
- 30:49Speaker 2: the other people. Now that someone's new, new is here.
- 30:51Speaker 2: It's a new diamond dynamic. They throw in two new
- 30:55Speaker 2: people now, like, you know, they got to split up
- 30:57Speaker 2: a little bit. So I, I just think that I
- 31:01Speaker 2: would have liked to see them all together for this.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I think we missed out on TV gold, having everyone together.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I do too, because then we move right along from that.
- 31:10Speaker 3: You know, they, they, Carmela actually says at this point,
- 31:13Speaker 3: I don't know how many water vodkas.
- 31:16Speaker 1: She's had at this point, but she's like, I'm pissed.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I'm not over this. So I'm like, okay, we're going
- 31:21Speaker 1: to see you do this with Vicky. This is going
- 31:25Speaker 1: to happen.
- 31:26Speaker 3: I also was confused why they were all dressed like
- 31:29Speaker 3: they were going somewhere else.
- 31:30Speaker 2: She literally made four strips of bacon, one for each
- 31:33Speaker 2: person it looked like.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I'm like....
- 31:38Speaker 2: There's four, and I counted four girls. Or maybe there's five.
- 31:44Speaker 2: There's four girls, four strips of bacon.
- 31:45Speaker 3: You each get a half a piece of bacon and
- 31:48Speaker 3: chew it a lot and then spit it out.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Get the taste of it, then spit it out.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I am such a slob.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Then we get to Gina and Travis talking about their
- 31:59Speaker 3: wedding expenses and purchasing a bigger house. And Travis gives
- 32:03Speaker 3: Gina her legit engagement ring.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Gina, she's so appreciative.
- 32:08Speaker 3: See?
- 32:09Speaker 2: Okay, now let's talk about this for a second.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Okay. Gina and Travis don't have much. So they say, right?
- 32:19Speaker 2: So they're like working on budgets. We want to have
- 32:22Speaker 2: a wedding, but it's so much money, but we deserve
- 32:25Speaker 2: to celebrate our love. But they're in love and they're happy.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Yes.
- 32:30Speaker 2: And she's happy with finally getting her real ring and
- 32:34Speaker 2: all these things. And then.
- 32:37Speaker 1: But know what I thought of during the whole ring thing?
- 32:39Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, this is totally to poke at Vicky.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Gina's getting two rings before Vicky gets one.
- 32:46Speaker 1: See, no.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Okay. That's what you were thinking. I was thinking of
- 32:50Speaker 2: the contrast of the people with money and then the
- 32:54Speaker 2: people who are happy and then the people without the
- 32:57Speaker 2: money that are happy with what they have.
- 32:59Speaker 1: But let's be clear. I've gone on and looked at
- 33:01Speaker 1: the square footage. Huh? I've looked at the square footage
- 33:05Speaker 1: of the houses.
- 33:06Speaker 3: And Gina's current house, I mean, granted, one year during
- 33:09Speaker 3: the rougher time she was in that casita, but the
- 33:12Speaker 3: house she lives in now, I think, is bigger than
- 33:14Speaker 3: a lot of the other.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Housewives' houses.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Really?
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yes.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 33:21Speaker 3: But I think she made a good point. She's like,
- 33:22Speaker 3: you know, my parents paid for the first wedding. They're
- 33:24Speaker 3: not going to pay for the second.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Right. So there's this budget, right? And it's a lot
- 33:29Speaker 2: of money. Listen, I'm throwing a party. I'm planning Gabby's wedding.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Throw in a party for Frankie here, which is as
- 33:37Speaker 2: big as a wedding. Yeah. It's a lot of money.
- 33:40Speaker 2: You're not getting underneath under on a cheap and $ 300
- 33:45Speaker 2: a head. It's a lot. Yeah.
- 33:49Speaker 1: So, I mean, I don't know.
- 33:52Speaker 3: I also, but I like them as a couple. I
- 33:54Speaker 3: like this conversation. I like, do we want to get
- 33:57Speaker 3: in a bigger house? Do we want to, what do
- 33:59Speaker 3: we want to do?
- 34:02Speaker 2: They want to do what they can afford.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:04Speaker 2: No, that's not. They have too many kids. He has
- 34:06Speaker 2: probably his attorney bills from the ex-wife fighting with him
- 34:09Speaker 2: all the time.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:11Speaker 2: They've broken up over it already. And but, you know,
- 34:15Speaker 2: they really they do love and care about each other.
- 34:19Speaker 2: And then you go and now you see there's that
- 34:23Speaker 2: they're worrying about how to budget for a wedding. And
- 34:25Speaker 2: then you look at a Heather. looking at her 11,000
- 34:31Speaker 2: square foot condo that she bought underneath her other condo.
- 34:35Speaker 2: And it's just so crazy, all of it.
- 34:38Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like every time I'm watching Heather,
- 34:40Speaker 3: and then we'll get back to Carmela and Dani, but
- 34:43Speaker 3: this all kind of goes together because the juxtaposition between
- 34:46Speaker 3: the two places. I feel like Heather is constantly auditioning
- 34:51Speaker 3: for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Like, this is the
- 34:56Speaker 3: audition tape.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Here we go. Send it in.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Like.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Does she even have to audition at this point if
- 35:02Speaker 2: they wanted her? They know she could pop up there anytime.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Well, I mean, because she is, like, rich.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I mean, and then the fact that she's like, Terry
- 35:10Speaker 3: doesn't know anything about the finances. I'm like, she's got
- 35:14Speaker 3: shit under lock over there. And then her mom's like,
- 35:17Speaker 3: let's paint the ceilings black.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Well, mom.
- 35:21Speaker 2: actually, I mean, I've seen black ceilings. And then he's like,
- 35:26Speaker 2: what is this, a coffin?
- 35:28Speaker 1: What is this, a coffin?
- 35:29Speaker 3: And then it did make me laugh when she was like,
- 35:31Speaker 3: if this was my mom's house, there'd be tchotchkes, a
- 35:34Speaker 3: grandfather clock.
- 35:35Speaker 2: My mother's a hoarder. I'm like, you haven't seen a
- 35:39Speaker 2: hoarder parent yet. Come to my dad's house.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Come over to where you can't even get into the
- 35:45Speaker 1: front door.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Like my dad. Yeah.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I mean, but.
- 35:51Speaker 2: You know, they.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Just were we're seeing a difference in lifestyle here. It's
- 35:58Speaker 3: just it is what it is.
- 36:00Speaker 2: But they're still all friends. They could still like hanging
- 36:03Speaker 2: in the same group. And I love that. I love that.
- 36:06Speaker 2: There's all different levels of wealth here. And and it
- 36:09Speaker 2: was weird to see everyone has their own problems outside
- 36:13Speaker 2: of whether they have money or not.
- 36:16Speaker 1: But know what's weird?
- 36:17Speaker 3: I don't even find it when Heather's talking about money.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Maybe I'm just so used to it. I don't find
- 36:22Speaker 3: it as her bragging. She's so matter of fact about it.
- 36:26Speaker 3: But like some people really bothers me when they talk
- 36:28Speaker 3: about money.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I like to hear what things cost.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 2: And it doesn't bother me because I learn from it.
- 36:39Speaker 2: So I learned that if I don't have it, I
- 36:41Speaker 2: know how much something should cost if I go to
- 36:43Speaker 2: buy it. Get my point?
- 36:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I get your point.
- 36:46Speaker 2: That never pisses me off.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't bother me either.
- 36:50Speaker 3: And then in the middle of this, Carmel and Danny
- 36:54Speaker 3: go out for date night.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Sorry, I just spit out of my nose.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I didn't see it, though.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Danny chose to a fresh start with
- 37:09Speaker 1: gritted teeth.
- 37:12Speaker 2: And then he wants you to get married. She's like,
- 37:14Speaker 2: why should we get married?
- 37:16Speaker 1: You've already been married too many times, dude.
- 37:18Speaker 2: She's like, you've been cut off.
- 37:21Speaker 3: She's like, essentially they talk about couples therapy and, you know,
- 37:25Speaker 3: Carmela's trust is broken. Carmela agrees to try, but if
- 37:30Speaker 3: they can't resolve this, they're done. We know now they're done.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Carmela just confirmed to Page Six that she and Danny
- 37:36Speaker 3: have broken up.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I don't like that. Okay. And Carmela was like hanging
- 37:46Speaker 2: on words. So she saw he was supposed to go
- 37:49Speaker 2: see someone or he was supposed to meet a woman
- 37:52Speaker 2: for something. She's like, what are you meeting him for?
- 37:54Speaker 2: He goes, it's for a building. And she's like, did
- 37:58Speaker 2: you ever go out with her? Well, I was supposed to.
- 38:00Speaker 2: At first he said no, because he's nervous.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:02Speaker 2: And she's like, well, he's like, well, I was supposed to,
- 38:04Speaker 2: but then I didn't or whatever. She's like, see, you're lying.
- 38:07Speaker 2: You're lying. I was in a relationship like that one time.
- 38:11Speaker 1: It'll like, no, no, it drives you insane.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Because they're constantly calling you a liar. Even if
- 38:21Speaker 2: you're not lying and making stuff up, like you lied
- 38:25Speaker 2: about that. Oh, you made me nervous to answer you.
- 38:28Speaker 1: But also you made me nervous to answer you because
- 38:31Speaker 1: there is a lie to what I'm telling you, but
- 38:33Speaker 1: I just don't want drama. So I'm just going to
- 38:35Speaker 1: try and say it the easiest way possible.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Well, there's a lot of things here, Teddy.
- 38:40Speaker 3: There's, I.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Don't call it a lie when somebody makes you nervous
- 38:45Speaker 2: to speak or nervous to answer, right? That's like an
- 38:50Speaker 2: under pressure. Like you don't know how to explain yourself
- 38:53Speaker 2: because no matter what you say, now they're calling you
- 38:55Speaker 2: a liar before.
- 38:56Speaker 3: But I'm sorry, Dolores, if you asked Paul right now,
- 39:00Speaker 3: if Paul said, I'm going to a meeting right now
- 39:03Speaker 3: and you were like, oh, with who? And he's like, oh,
- 39:05Speaker 3: this realtor. And then you said to him, Which I
- 39:10Speaker 3: doubt think you would. This wouldn't come to my thought process,
- 39:13Speaker 3: but did you used to date her?
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yeah, like I don't talk.
- 39:17Speaker 1: And he said no, then yes, you would be pissed.
- 39:20Speaker 2: I think I should start asking that.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Did you date her? Now we're just going to ask everyone.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Are you talking to her? Did you date her? Are
- 39:30Speaker 1: you talking to her or are you just.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Um, were you talking to her or were you dating
- 39:36Speaker 2: or were you like, I'm going to have to like,
- 39:39Speaker 2: we're going to have to call them to see what level.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 1: What is living together, but not being married? What is
- 39:47Speaker 1: that called? Just living together.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Um, well that's up until November. So live together. Yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I don't know. We could be wrong. Who knows what
- 39:58Speaker 1: the younger generation calls it to get up with the
- 40:01Speaker 1: times here. We got to figure it out.
- 40:15Speaker 3: But then we see writing on the wall. I'm like,
- 40:18Speaker 3: these two are done. Um, which then I think is
- 40:21Speaker 3: going to make for a better housewife for Carmela. Then
- 40:25Speaker 3: Tamara visits Vicky to figure out what's going on with her.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Vicky finally lets her walls down and gets emotional saying
- 40:31Speaker 3: she hasn't gotten where she is by sitting on her ass.
- 40:34Speaker 3: So being made fun of for working strikes a nerve.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Vicky shares that she, this, okay. Her saying the, she,
- 40:43Speaker 3: you know, she's working hard. That part didn't resonate with
- 40:46Speaker 3: me too much. It didn't pull up my heartstrings, but
- 40:49Speaker 3: where the heartstrings got pulled is where Vicki shares with
- 40:52Speaker 3: Tamara that she feels less than and fearful of having
- 40:56Speaker 3: another failed relationship after three engagements. And that's why the
- 41:00Speaker 3: Mike comments are so hurtful. And Tamara's a really good
- 41:03Speaker 3: friend here.
- 41:05Speaker 2: She is. Tamara said everything right. Again, I'm going to
- 41:11Speaker 2: say that I feel like I've hit behind things in
- 41:16Speaker 2: my life at times too, not to face the reality
- 41:19Speaker 2: of things. She hides behind her work at this stage
- 41:23Speaker 2: in her career and her business. She doesn't have to
- 41:27Speaker 2: be doing things when she's doing them. You mean you
- 41:29Speaker 2: don't have an assistant answering your emails? You mean you
- 41:32Speaker 2: don't have you have to get right back? You're not
- 41:35Speaker 2: a brain surgeon. You're not a surgeon. You're not getting
- 41:38Speaker 2: called into work because there was a horrible, God forbid,
- 41:41Speaker 2: a horrible accident. You're a fucking answering an email. You
- 41:45Speaker 2: don't have to do it there. But she hides behind
- 41:49Speaker 2: all that. I'm not a psychologist. I'm not. Really?
- 41:53Speaker 1: I could have sworn you were.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Oh, you did. You busted my balls right now. I
- 41:58Speaker 2: know you are. But I'm just saying, like, I'm looking
- 42:03Speaker 2: at her like there were times in my life where
- 42:05Speaker 2: I didn't want to stop. Because if I stopped, I'd
- 42:08Speaker 2: realize the reality of my life, which is what at
- 42:11Speaker 2: the time could have been. I could have been lonely or...
- 42:14Speaker 2: broke or worried or whatever shit ass fucking situation i
- 42:19Speaker 2: was in which most of the time was shit ass
- 42:21Speaker 2: but um tamra tamra i thought had a major breakthrough
- 42:26Speaker 2: on why vicky's doing all this and now i feel
- 42:29Speaker 2: like i'm glad i didn't hate her through all this.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Well i'm glad that it For one, it was nice
- 42:37Speaker 3: to see them show Tamara being this way because I
- 42:40Speaker 3: think they so often want to show her in another way.
- 42:42Speaker 3: But she's like, you're a badass. Like, what is there
- 42:45Speaker 3: to feel this about? You know, like she's boosting her up.
- 42:48Speaker 3: She's like, you're Vicky fucking Gunvalson.
- 42:50Speaker 1: You've got this. And you could tell that's what made Vicky.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Those words of affirmation is what made Vicky open up
- 42:57Speaker 3: to her and say that she's scared.
- 42:59Speaker 1: She's scared. I mean, all in all, the biggest fear
- 43:01Speaker 1: is she's scared of being alone.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Well, I feel like she's had some really bad relationships, right?
- 43:09Speaker 2: We know from day one, she has a low self-esteem
- 43:14Speaker 2: and she doesn't feel pretty. She doesn't feel good because
- 43:18Speaker 2: maybe she hasn't been told that, or maybe, you know,
- 43:22Speaker 2: the men in her life has made her feel less than.
- 43:24Speaker 3: I mean, Tamara said something like you wasted 10 years
- 43:28Speaker 3: of your life with Brooks and Steve.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Right. So I think that because she, has a low
- 43:36Speaker 2: self-esteem that she's been with men who don't make her
- 43:41Speaker 2: feel great about herself.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:45Speaker 3: But then this is where I get confused because then
- 43:46Speaker 3: she's like, oh, well, Mike, he's always asking me what
- 43:50Speaker 3: I'm going to do every day. And do we get dinner?
- 43:53Speaker 3: And but I'm like, hold on. I don't think you
- 43:55Speaker 3: guys live together. I thought you lived in Orange County. Like,
- 43:59Speaker 3: is he coming back with her to Orange County?
- 44:02Speaker 2: They do live together.
- 44:04Speaker 1: So they live together in both places.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Okay. But that part they have not made clear yet.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Here's the thing, though.
- 44:13Speaker 1: No, the one in Orange County. I mean, the one
- 44:15Speaker 1: in the desert is his house, too.
- 44:18Speaker 2: La Quinta is his, too.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't think the OCD house is.
- 44:24Speaker 2: She's like, here's what it is. Like, I look at Vicki...
- 44:28Speaker 2: And from what she says, she's like, I made everybody's life.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I made it nice for my kids. In the words
- 44:33Speaker 2: of Dorinda, I built a life by working to make
- 44:38Speaker 2: sure everybody was taken care of. And I just feel like,
- 44:42Speaker 2: does anybody put her on a pedestal? No. And this
- 44:47Speaker 2: guy travels a lot for work. Listen to me. I
- 44:50Speaker 2: don't think things are great over there.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I don't think things are great over there.
- 44:54Speaker 3: And I don't like anybody dangling fruit in front of me,
- 44:58Speaker 3: making me feel like I have to be a good
- 45:00Speaker 3: girl to get what I, you know.
- 45:02Speaker 2: I don't like her for that. That bothers me really bad.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Like, even if she was joking about the 90 days
- 45:11Speaker 3: or whatever it was, like, to me, that would really
- 45:14Speaker 3: bother me.
- 45:15Speaker 2: You know what I would say? How about go fuck yourself?
- 45:18Speaker 2: And I've said that. You know, somebody saying, well, I'm
- 45:21Speaker 2: not going to get you this because... You don't deserve it.
- 45:24Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't fucking want it. And go fuck yourself.
- 45:26Speaker 2: That's exactly what I verbally have said to somebody. Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Don't dangle shit in front of my face.
- 45:33Speaker 1: If you act exactly how I want you to act,
- 45:36Speaker 1: then this could be yours. Fuck you.
- 45:39Speaker 2: You know what? Fuck you. You know what? When somebody
- 45:41Speaker 2: says that to you, it will never be yours. Never.
- 45:45Speaker 2: You will never catch up to that. When you get
- 45:49Speaker 2: to that point, it'll be something else. And then when
- 45:50Speaker 2: you get to that point, it'll be something else.
- 45:52Speaker 1: And so I'm just scared she's going to have to
- 45:54Speaker 1: walk on eggshells.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Like if they do get married or when they do
- 45:57Speaker 3: get married, because I do think they probably will.
- 46:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like she's going to have
- 46:03Speaker 1: to walk on eggshells.
- 46:05Speaker 3: But I feel like a big part of it that
- 46:07Speaker 3: we don't get to see is what the show is
- 46:10Speaker 3: creating for the relationship.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Who knows what goes on behind closed doors? However, back
- 46:18Speaker 2: from when first episode she's in, Cabo or wherever in Mexico,
- 46:24Speaker 2: wherever that is, she goes. And Puerto Vallarta, right? And
- 46:30Speaker 2: they're there and she's like, Mike's complaining that I'm here,
- 46:33Speaker 2: but this and that, but I'm working. It's not always
- 46:36Speaker 2: about work. She hides behind work. Yeah. 100,000% hides behind work.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Because like he travels a lot for work too. What
- 46:43Speaker 1: does he care?
- 46:44Speaker 3: Like, is he jealous of what she's going to do
- 46:47Speaker 3: or say if she's with her friends and she's whooping
- 46:50Speaker 3: it up? Is that why she's not whooping it up?
- 46:52Speaker 3: Because she can't control exactly what she's thinking?
- 46:55Speaker 2: He's not jealous. What I don't think is, I feel
- 46:58Speaker 2: like in the same text as I'm looking at Emily
- 47:04Speaker 2: in her marriage, I'm saying there are people here that
- 47:07Speaker 2: are looking for attention from their significant other and accolades
- 47:11Speaker 2: and coddling and like acknowledgement. Just tell me I'm great.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Because you know what? I know why I think that.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Because I like that. I like to be told, Can
- 47:21Speaker 2: you tell me I look nice?
- 47:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:24Speaker 3: I mean, I like to, I like to feel it
- 47:27Speaker 3: more than I like to hear it. Like, you know,
- 47:30Speaker 3: you walk into a room and you look nice and that,
- 47:33Speaker 3: and your person like touches your back or like makes
- 47:37Speaker 3: it like, I like to feel it more than you
- 47:40Speaker 3: look nice.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Goes a long way. And you know, Vicky's thing, he's,
- 47:44Speaker 2: she's a little older and he's older. Yeah. They're like
- 47:47Speaker 2: an older couple.
- 47:50Speaker 3: But I mean, all in all, I thought this episode
- 47:52Speaker 3: was significantly better than last week's.
- 47:55Speaker 2: I think that I'm looking at this and it was
- 47:59Speaker 2: like a lot of kind of pivotal moments in this episode.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Emily's marriage came like this whole thing that what they
- 48:06Speaker 2: were talking about. And I could see like he wants
- 48:10Speaker 2: her to say, hey, you're great. And she's like, I
- 48:12Speaker 2: don't want to say it because he's not saying it
- 48:14Speaker 2: to her.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Like she's not giving it back because she's not getting it. Yeah.
- 48:19Speaker 1: So it's yeah, it's just we're seeing a lot of
- 48:24Speaker 1: home relationships in this season.
- 48:27Speaker 2: We see a lot of relationships. We see a lot
- 48:29Speaker 2: of different like, you know, Gina's got a budget and
- 48:34Speaker 2: and Heather has no budget. But yet, you know, it's
- 48:38Speaker 2: everybody's life is all different. I like watching it.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I like watching it, too.
- 48:42Speaker 3: And next week is Carmela versus Vicky. Apparently that heats up.
- 48:47Speaker 3: So make sure that you guys keep watching.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Yeah. It's time for Carmela to get mad.
- 48:52Speaker 1: It's time, but you know, have a couple of vodka
- 48:55Speaker 1: sodas and let's go.
- 48:56Speaker 2: There you go. Let's get it. But I, you know
- 48:58Speaker 2: what I did do? What? I was watching it with
- 49:00Speaker 2: my mom. I said, mom, this is Vicky. I go,
- 49:04Speaker 2: but she has this moment that I'll never forget when
- 49:07Speaker 2: she got the call that her mom passed away. And I,
- 49:11Speaker 2: I played it for my mother and my mother, she
- 49:13Speaker 2: was like, she was crying. She was like, you're just
- 49:16Speaker 2: never ready for that call. Yeah, no.
- 49:18Speaker 3: So, I mean, there's... going through a lot. No one's
- 49:21Speaker 3: taking that away, but I think that's where you make
- 49:25Speaker 3: a decision. Can I, can I be on a television
- 49:28Speaker 3: show at this point in time? Right.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Or is it good for me? Can you do it?
- 49:34Speaker 2: You could walk onto any set, you know, but, is
- 49:37Speaker 2: it good for you?
- 49:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:43Speaker 3: But I'm loving it. I'm happy that the girls gave
- 49:48Speaker 3: us a little bit more this week. And, you know,
- 49:51Speaker 3: we'll be, don't worry, we'll be back next week to
- 49:53Speaker 3: discuss our more hot takes on next week's episode. Thanks, guys,
- 49:58Speaker 3: for tuning in to another episode of Two Teas in
- 50:00Speaker 3: a Pod with myself, Teddy Mellencamp, and Dolores Catania.
- 50:03Speaker 2: I want you guys to write it and tell me
- 50:05Speaker 2: if you agree, disagree, what you think. Are you guys
- 50:08Speaker 2: catching on to anything?
- 50:10Speaker 1: Like, do you agree with Dolores or do you agree
- 50:13Speaker 1: with me? I mean, this is no pressure here.
- 50:15Speaker 2: That's heavy.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Love you.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Love you. Bye.
