- 0:03Speaker 1: Welcome to Tuesday.
- 0:09Speaker 2: You got to open with those baby blues? Was that
- 0:11Speaker 2: we needed a close up? That's what we needed.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Those ratings are through the roof and then sex. Yeah,
- 0:20Speaker 3: that's true. So do the Mariners. Why do I say
- 0:23Speaker 3: that we have a Mariners show?
- 0:25Speaker 4: Now?
- 0:25Speaker 5: It's official. We've been working on that one.
- 0:28Speaker 3: The show exists already, it's just now part of the
- 0:31Speaker 3: FT Network and it'll get a little boost, probably more content,
- 0:36Speaker 3: maybe some others joining the party.
- 0:39Speaker 5: Oh wow, that is pretty.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Come on, stand up? Stand up?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Whoever did that? Get your steps in today? That's nice.
- 0:50Speaker 3: The state of Washington is covered, or if you're a Mariner,
- 0:53Speaker 3: spend anywhere else we've got you. I don't know what
- 0:56Speaker 3: we're gonna do with Wyoming, Montana.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Some of those spots.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Those are Mariners fans, I believe.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Probably right.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, Brady Farcas, host of Refused to Lose Territory
- 1:09Speaker 3: part of the FT Network. It is a Mariners show.
- 1:13Speaker 3: He's been doing it for about two years. He's going
- 1:16Speaker 3: to do more. He's going to join us later on FT.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Do you remember Refuse to Lose?
- 1:22Speaker 1: That was she wasn't now Back in the two thousand
- 1:24Speaker 1: and one when they won one hundred and sixteen games.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Further back, I think they used it a little bit
- 1:28Speaker 3: in O one, but nineteen ninety five, Oh, they were
- 1:32Speaker 3: down thirteen games in August.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I remember them back, Yes, the one game playoff, and
- 1:38Speaker 1: then they beat the Yankees. Yes, and then they lost
- 1:44Speaker 1: to the Indians, right, I mean Guardians, even though they
- 1:47Speaker 1: were the Indians, and no, no, they were the Indians.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Yeah, they were the Indians.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Back they were down two oho in that Alds to
- 1:56Speaker 3: the Yanks.
- 1:56Speaker 1: They were, and they came back with the Eger Martinez
- 1:59Speaker 1: and and uh doubled on the line and then Griffy
- 2:04Speaker 1: Scorn from first and Joey Korra jumping on them, and uh.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yeah, A Rod was on deck and they chose to
- 2:10Speaker 2: throw to Edgar Martinez. A Rod, nineteen year old a Rod.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I think our eighteen year old A Rod was on deck.
- 2:18Speaker 3: When you google that term, it runs through some of
- 2:22Speaker 3: what I'm listing, and then it even has the footnote
- 2:25Speaker 3: in there. Still used in fan media today, such as
- 2:30Speaker 3: you refuse to lose show a Mariner's podcast, refuse to
- 2:34Speaker 3: lose territory?
- 2:36Speaker 5: Cool? All right, there you go.
- 2:38Speaker 3: We're gonna talk to Brady later. He's really good. I'm excited.
- 2:41Speaker 3: I've been listening. Okay, this one's for all the haters
- 2:46Speaker 3: out there. We're going to charge the mound with a
- 2:49Speaker 3: special theme.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Ut Slow Starts is the theme.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Don't you feel like it's to go over some guys
- 3:01Speaker 3: who have not been performing? Well, It's not like it's
- 3:04Speaker 3: been two three weeks. Yeah, has it been enough time
- 3:07Speaker 3: to say, hey, what's going on here?
- 3:09Speaker 1: I think so?
- 3:11Speaker 5: Is there someone that comes to mind for you?
- 3:13Speaker 3: Or would you rather me list out some players that
- 3:17Speaker 3: are a little bit slow? I would like to start
- 3:20Speaker 3: with do you have one? Or do you want me
- 3:22Speaker 3: to start?
- 3:23Speaker 1: I mean, I think Boba Shitt comes to mind. Okay,
- 3:26Speaker 1: just because I just saw him.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Tell me though, like, what is going on?
- 3:31Speaker 1: He just looks uncomfortable. It's a new team, it's his
- 3:32Speaker 1: first time switching teams. He looks uncomfortable. He doesn't look
- 3:36Speaker 1: like the normal Boba Shit that we've seen. He was
- 3:38Speaker 1: chasing more than he has in the past, didn't really
- 3:42Speaker 1: have the power that he had. His bat speeds down.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He just looks like he's pressing. That's That's the one
- 3:46Speaker 1: to me that stands out off the top of my head.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Man, if he was in a better spot.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I don't know if the Mets would being that much
- 3:55Speaker 3: better of a spot, but yeah, sound for big money.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Can also put it all on him.
- 4:00Speaker 3: No, he's making over forty million dollars a year. If
- 4:03Speaker 3: the length of the contract plays out on a three
- 4:05Speaker 3: year deal, you might opt out, they might trade him.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Who knows. We'll get to that later. Uh, can I
- 4:12Speaker 3: throw one your way? Actually, I'm gonna give you an option, Kratz,
- 4:15Speaker 3: Would you like to talk about either Fernando tatis juniors
- 4:19Speaker 3: zero homers or Kyle Raley's super slow start compared to
- 4:24Speaker 3: last year?
- 4:25Speaker 2: I feel like they're a little bit less stories than Like,
- 4:29Speaker 2: I feel like those two starts, Like Cayle Rally's never
- 4:32Speaker 2: been a major average guy, he's got seven dingers. Fernando Tatis,
- 4:37Speaker 2: Come on, let's let's call spade a spade.
- 4:40Speaker 1: All right? Can can we say it out loud? Forvo Tatis?
- 4:44Speaker 2: And power has been down ever since he's got caught
- 4:47Speaker 2: doing steroids, Like I don't know, is it zero power?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Is it zero home runs power?
- 4:53Speaker 1: No?
- 4:54Speaker 2: But it's completely down and it's been down since. Like
- 4:58Speaker 2: I think everybody thinks he's gonna ge back to is
- 5:00Speaker 2: like nine seventy ops, Like, I think those years are
- 5:06Speaker 2: behind him, Like he's a right fielder that's platinum glove
- 5:09Speaker 2: defense and zero power. Like his ex velocity is still there,
- 5:13Speaker 2: his launch angle isn't, so I mean slow starts or
- 5:19Speaker 2: just maybe we're getting closer to what he's gonna be.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Like I think now if Tatis has a twenty home
- 5:25Speaker 2: run season, like I would be like, WHOA, Okay, So.
- 5:33Speaker 3: He hit forty two homers in twenty twenty one, that's
- 5:35Speaker 3: what you're referring to. Then he's hurt and had the
- 5:38Speaker 3: PD suspension and was out for twenty twenty two. Ever
- 5:43Speaker 3: since then, I mean, Kratz a spot on. I thought
- 5:45Speaker 3: it would be more if you asked me, like, what
- 5:46Speaker 3: has he hit since then? I thought maybe he got
- 5:48Speaker 3: the thirty. He hasn't gotten his high since since twenty five.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Yeah, so yes.
- 5:53Speaker 3: He hasn't had a homer, but he's more like a
- 5:56Speaker 3: twenty homer bat.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Yep, so he hits a few a month, he'll get close.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, krats nail. There's nothing else to say
- 6:04Speaker 1: about this. I mean that ringworm is a bitch.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he's an incredible outfielder, but he got paid he
- 6:12Speaker 3: did get paid. He got paid one sixty six ops
- 6:15Speaker 3: plus and twenty twenty one. Since then, the high is
- 6:18Speaker 3: one thirty, which is still all Star caliber. But you
- 6:20Speaker 3: know other seasons one ten, twenty twenty three, one twenty six,
- 6:23Speaker 3: and twenty twenty five, like, yeah, you what do you?
- 6:26Speaker 1: What do you do? Last year?
- 6:28Speaker 3: Last year he was a one twenty six ops plus,
- 6:30Speaker 3: eight fourteen ops, twenty five homers in a full season
- 6:35Speaker 3: one fifty five games, two sixty eight batting, three sixty
- 6:39Speaker 3: eight on base four forty six, slugging.
- 6:42Speaker 5: He's slugging two ninety two.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I mean well, I mean, you know, everyone keeps saying
- 6:45Speaker 1: he's hitting the ball hard, but he can't pull it. Well,
- 6:47Speaker 1: he might be hitting the ball hard, but he's it's
- 6:49Speaker 1: because you know, the crats, when you're when you're dragging
- 6:51Speaker 1: and you feel like you have to generate more, you
- 6:53Speaker 1: swing more outside instead of keeping it short, because when
- 6:57Speaker 1: you're trying to generate bat speed, so that which would
- 7:01Speaker 1: lead to a lot more rollovers instead of like trusting
- 7:03Speaker 1: that you can get there on your own with what
- 7:06Speaker 1: you have. So there's a big part of it.
- 7:10Speaker 3: For shouting out seat geek, right now, you know the code.
- 7:13Speaker 3: It's still there for you. You should use it. It's
- 7:16Speaker 3: getting a little warmer out if you've been hibernating territory
- 7:19Speaker 3: ten on se geek. Anything catching anyone's eye this evening,
- 7:23Speaker 3: I've got one.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Paul Skeens Paul Schemes against the Rockies.
- 7:28Speaker 5: And Pas Night no hit or alert, y'all.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Momoto's pitching its giants. Dodgers need to win. There's not
- 7:35Speaker 1: a lot of good like Matt, there's a lot of
- 7:39Speaker 1: good pictures.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Mm hmm. I agree.
- 7:42Speaker 6: Braves a Cubs, right, that's that's a good one. And
- 7:45Speaker 6: it's in Atlanta. But yes, and it's Colin Ray against
- 7:49Speaker 6: Grand Holmes. Okay, should see some offense to another good one.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Good.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Wheeler's going in Boston against yep, Terrence Brockington Davison.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I'll give you one that might be a little off
- 8:05Speaker 3: the board. But the Mariners against the Astros. So you
- 8:09Speaker 3: get Brian wu on one side, see if he kind
- 8:11Speaker 3: of myself rolling, and then Ami on the other side.
- 8:13Speaker 5: See. I want to watch that. I just want to
- 8:15Speaker 5: see what that looks like. He's back.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He might be in my lock later.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Wow.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Because the Mariners strike out a lot.
- 8:23Speaker 5: They do it. Just will he throw enough strikes. I
- 8:27Speaker 5: don't know.
- 8:27Speaker 1: That he has to throw enough strikes because they're going
- 8:29Speaker 1: to swing at it whether he throws a strike.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Or not, even if it's out of the zone.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I mean, that's the thing with the Mariners. I got
- 8:36Speaker 1: to go back to my roots tonight.
- 8:38Speaker 5: There's some good ones.
- 8:39Speaker 3: It's a good point by Krats, like you have a
- 8:41Speaker 3: lot of Oh that matchup is one whatever and one ace.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Shane mcclanahan's pitching for the race against the Blue That wow,
- 8:54Speaker 3: clanahan has a two six o E ra A.
- 8:56Speaker 2: At this point, I'm going to seek and I'm finding
- 8:58Speaker 2: a pitcher that I want to fit see and see.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Mcclanahan's one of them. Like right now, I want to
- 9:03Speaker 2: see what he looks like because he might be rounding
- 9:05Speaker 2: in the form. So get your tickets early. They might
- 9:08Speaker 2: be cheaper now than they will later in the season
- 9:09Speaker 2: when the Raids are running for the American League's best record.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Good point. It's the official ticket marketplace of Major League Baseball.
- 9:16Speaker 3: They've got you covered for all of your baseball ticket needs.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Code for you on the screen territory one zero ten
- 9:25Speaker 3: percent off tickets at Sea Geek yes, that's ten percent
- 9:30Speaker 3: off tickets any tickets on seat geek. You can also
- 9:34Speaker 3: find a little bit of that code if you forget
- 9:37Speaker 3: it in the description of this episode.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Thank you see geek.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I mean, yeah, if we're gonna break
- 9:43Speaker 2: down like the mechanics of a swing. I think Banana
- 9:46Speaker 2: Tatis still has a really good swing, But the mechanics
- 9:49Speaker 2: of hitting a home run, it's not about, Oh, your
- 9:52Speaker 2: bat's in the slot and your swing is is elevating
- 9:56Speaker 2: the ball. The party's out front. If you want to elevate, elevate,
- 10:00Speaker 2: you got to hit it out front. You got to
- 10:01Speaker 2: catch the ball out front. You gotta have enough bat
- 10:03Speaker 2: speed to get the ball out front. You have to
- 10:04Speaker 2: trust that you can get to the heater out front
- 10:08Speaker 2: and still stay back on breaking balls like and if
- 10:10Speaker 2: you're not able to do that, you're going to still
- 10:13Speaker 2: be able to barrel the ball up, but it's going
- 10:17Speaker 2: to be deeper in your stand or deeper in your
- 10:19Speaker 2: swing all that stuff. And to me, that's where I
- 10:22Speaker 2: mean you're talking like Tatisa was hitting some appotators before,
- 10:26Speaker 2: like some balls were coming off the bat hot, and
- 10:31Speaker 2: you know, zero home runs. He's not a zero home
- 10:33Speaker 2: run guy. Everybody we're going to talk about that's like,
- 10:36Speaker 2: this is like other level type of players that we're seeing,
- 10:41Speaker 2: low level production. He's not going to have zero home
- 10:45Speaker 2: runs this year. Is he going to have thirty? Absolutely not,
- 10:51Speaker 2: because of exactly what I said before. So he's maybe
- 10:54Speaker 2: trying to figure out who he is. He's on a
- 10:56Speaker 2: team with a bunch of guys that don't strike out,
- 10:59Speaker 2: so he's like, Okay, I'm gonna be that guy too.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I can maybe generate some RBIs, I can figure out
- 11:04Speaker 2: how to do some other things. But he's not a
- 11:07Speaker 2: he's not twenty twenty tatis and he's only getting older,
- 11:12Speaker 2: and he's only getting farther away from the ball playing
- 11:15Speaker 2: in right field, which he's given.
- 11:17Speaker 1: You a lot of value on defense.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Maybe not three hundred and twenty five million dollars of value,
- 11:21Speaker 2: but a lot of value.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I want to go back to cal because that's where
- 11:26Speaker 3: I think.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Kratz.
- 11:30Speaker 3: It is worth pointing out that, yes he has seven homers,
- 11:33Speaker 3: but is a shell of himself compared to last year.
- 11:37Speaker 3: He had a five eighty nine slug percentage last year.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Even all the years before that, he was in the
- 11:41Speaker 3: mid four hundreds, even high four hundreds, he's slugging three twenty.
- 11:46Speaker 3: His ops plus is sixty one. To me, aj this
- 11:50Speaker 3: is a big reason why the Mariners are off to
- 11:51Speaker 3: a man start, because last year Cal was doing col things,
- 11:55Speaker 3: and even if he was close to that, I mean,
- 11:57Speaker 3: the Mariners would be soaring right now. Don't think anyone
- 12:00Speaker 3: expected him to hit sixty again. I don't even know
- 12:02Speaker 3: if anyone expected fifty again or one sixty seven ops plus.
- 12:06Speaker 5: But he's at sixty.
- 12:07Speaker 3: One with one hundred at league average for ops plus,
- 12:11Speaker 3: he's one fifty seven, batting, two thirty eight on base,
- 12:13Speaker 3: three twenty slogging.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It's having a rough start.
- 12:15Speaker 5: It's time to talk about it.
- 12:16Speaker 1: It's having a rough start. It sucks because I love
- 12:18Speaker 1: Cal and I love what he did. I still thought
- 12:21Speaker 1: he should have been MVP. Thirty one point four percent
- 12:23Speaker 1: strikeout right. That that also, like we talked about Tatis,
- 12:26Speaker 1: that's pressing, that's going outside of his zone. That's trying
- 12:30Speaker 1: too hard, that's that's too much. Yes, the seven homers
- 12:33Speaker 1: are nice, but when you look up there and you're
- 12:35Speaker 1: on the interstate, which the interstate means you're hitting in
- 12:37Speaker 1: the hundreds, nobody likes to look up there and you
- 12:39Speaker 1: try not to look, but eventually he gets see you.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I still think cal comes out of it. And the
- 12:44Speaker 1: way you have to look at it is eventually someone's
- 12:45Speaker 1: going to pay a lot for this to make up
- 12:47Speaker 1: for it. But it's concerning because we're in the middle
- 12:50Speaker 1: of May and it's the same.
- 12:53Speaker 5: I'm going to strike out percent.
- 12:55Speaker 2: The strike out percentage is close to his career career numbers.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I mean it's not thirty one, but I think he's
- 13:02Speaker 2: like a twenty nine percent career, So two percent bump
- 13:06Speaker 2: in a month and a half he was dealing with
- 13:09Speaker 2: the side. How much is that doing it? And then
- 13:11Speaker 2: and then you add in the pressing, you know. I
- 13:13Speaker 2: think he strikes out a lot. I mean last year
- 13:16Speaker 2: he struck out one hundred and eighty eight times in
- 13:19Speaker 2: seven hundred plate appearances.
- 13:21Speaker 1: That's that's a lot.
- 13:23Speaker 2: But last year he also bumped his average twenty seven points,
- 13:27Speaker 2: twenty seven points above his normal average, which was two
- 13:31Speaker 2: eleven two thirty two, two twenty. So he's a career
- 13:36Speaker 2: two twenty hitter including this year.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I get it, but there's a big difference between
- 13:44Speaker 3: two twenty and one fifty seven. There's also a humongous
- 13:47Speaker 3: difference between a five eighty nine slug and a three
- 13:50Speaker 3: twenty slug or even a four to fifty ish slug,
- 13:53Speaker 3: which looks like about what you'd seen for the prior
- 13:55Speaker 3: three years combined. So it is a massive difference for
- 14:01Speaker 3: the Mariners not to have that right now, He's not
- 14:04Speaker 3: the only one too. I'm going to finish with this
- 14:07Speaker 3: list and you guys can just pick one each. There
- 14:09Speaker 3: are a number of guys that are well well below
- 14:12Speaker 3: their career norms Kateel, Marte, Jose Ramirez, Austin Riley. Yes,
- 14:19Speaker 3: Riley's at an eighty one ops plus seventy nine for Kateel,
- 14:23Speaker 3: even Jose Ramirez set one oh five compared to usually
- 14:28Speaker 3: being more like a one forty.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Ops plus guy. Any thoughts on any of those three.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Jose Ramiroz gets a pass for me. Austin Riley is
- 14:40Speaker 1: a little more concerning, but the Braves are playing so
- 14:41Speaker 1: well so nobody talks about it. Could tell Marte, Corbyn,
- 14:45Speaker 1: Carol and Geroldough Heroldo Perdomo are all underneath their average,
- 14:50Speaker 1: so it's kind of been a slow star follow them.
- 14:51Speaker 1: If it wasn't for Ed Themero Vargas who knows where
- 14:54Speaker 1: the Diamondbacks are, but they're back at five hundred without
- 14:57Speaker 1: those three, So Arenato's off to a nice star for
- 14:59Speaker 1: them to change the scenery. Guy, I don't know Carrol.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Everyone's like, oh, Carol got off to a great start.
- 15:07Speaker 1: He's been struggling a little bit here. But Marte, Carroll
- 15:10Speaker 1: and Perdoma all three have have not been great for
- 15:13Speaker 1: the Diamondbacks. So maybe it's just it wasn't warm enough
- 15:16Speaker 1: out in Arizona and waiting for the weather to get warmer.
- 15:20Speaker 3: It's a good thing when Kratz the team's still hovering
- 15:23Speaker 3: in the five hundred have gotten nothing from their stars.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that's that's impressive. I honestly thought Carol
- 15:32Speaker 2: shows how much I have been paying attention. I just
- 15:33Speaker 2: thought Carrol was coming back from that handmate, and he
- 15:37Speaker 2: started out hot, and I thought he was doing well.
- 15:40Speaker 2: To me, Scott, I don't know if you're gonna let
- 15:42Speaker 2: me go off the board, but you got to choose
- 15:44Speaker 2: one of the giants, guys, one of the giants big
- 15:47Speaker 2: three devers I think is starting to come on. If
- 15:50Speaker 2: you watched the game last night, he and maybe it
- 15:53Speaker 2: was a Rokie thing. He didn't have that front leg
- 15:56Speaker 2: like way almost out of the front of the batter's
- 15:59Speaker 2: box like he normal like he had earlier in the year.
- 16:01Speaker 2: He was almost more like closed off, real close to
- 16:03Speaker 2: the plate. But he knows rookie's not going to throw inside,
- 16:05Speaker 2: so he's like, come and get me some and then
- 16:08Speaker 2: he hit a dinger last night. But he kind of
- 16:10Speaker 2: has made changes. Chapman, you know he's going to give
- 16:13Speaker 2: you gold glove to me. The biggest thing is Willia Domas.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Willia Domas is going to be a lower average guy
- 16:21Speaker 2: if he goes because when he is, when he's going,
- 16:25Speaker 2: when he does well, and I think I think he
- 16:27Speaker 2: got over thirty homers last year. He's the first guy
- 16:29Speaker 2: since Barry Bonds. He still is going to hit two
- 16:33Speaker 2: twenty to forty type of hitter. But when he gets going,
- 16:38Speaker 2: I feel like he is the energy for that team.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Is that team good enough if Willia Domas is hitting
- 16:43Speaker 2: two eighty right now with twelve pumps. No, I don't
- 16:46Speaker 2: think they're built built well enough to be able to
- 16:50Speaker 2: compete in the tough National League. But I think of
- 16:53Speaker 2: those three guys at the plate, I think Devers will
- 16:56Speaker 2: come through. I think Chapman will be who he is
- 16:59Speaker 2: because he's going to be able to be heavily weighted
- 17:02Speaker 2: war with his defense, and that's why they that's why
- 17:05Speaker 2: they paid him, and he's still playing good defense. To me,
- 17:08Speaker 2: it's Willia Adamas whose defense at short is going to
- 17:10Speaker 2: only continue to age poorly. So to me, that energy
- 17:14Speaker 2: that he brings when he's not just when he's doing well,
- 17:17Speaker 2: but when he's coming up with big hits because he's
- 17:19Speaker 2: in the middle of that lineup. I think Williadomas, when
- 17:22Speaker 2: he turns it around, the Giants will be a little
- 17:24Speaker 2: bit more respectable on offense.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Last one, we'll let a fan chime in one of
- 17:29Speaker 3: the F team members. If you want to become an
- 17:31Speaker 3: F team member on YouTube, that would be great. Scrill
- 17:35Speaker 3: a te Corey Seeger, lengthy, slow start, longer slum for
- 17:38Speaker 3: him with and strikeouts are up. He's been healthy and
- 17:40Speaker 3: on the field for the whole first forty.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Knocks on wood. He did a knocks on wood.
- 17:48Speaker 1: He has been healthy, but he has not been hitting.
- 17:49Speaker 1: That's another one.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he was struggling for Corey Seeger. Yeah, I
- 17:54Speaker 3: mean the ops plus is one hundred because he's got
- 17:57Speaker 3: a little pop seven homers slung's at three seventy two.
- 18:01Speaker 3: But I mean, this is the guy you look the
- 18:02Speaker 3: last you want to know the three prior years for
- 18:04Speaker 3: seeger on ops plus on hundred league average one fifty three,
- 18:07Speaker 3: nine seventy four. He's way below what he normally does. Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 3: he is nasty. He's so damn good. I'm not worried
- 18:14Speaker 3: about him. That's what I'm not worried about.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Do we say Royce Lewis's struggling or has it been
- 18:20Speaker 2: too long to be like, I don't know what Royce
- 18:22Speaker 2: Lewis we have. He had a big hit the other night,
- 18:25Speaker 2: but I mean he even came out and said he
- 18:27Speaker 2: feels like somebody's got to tell me I'm not going
- 18:29Speaker 2: to the minor leagues like I'm not getting But he
- 18:33Speaker 2: hasn't been that all star level when healthy. He's been
- 18:37Speaker 2: healthy and he hasn't been hitting, so maybe he's not
- 18:39Speaker 2: in that group. But I think he's hitting like one
- 18:41Speaker 2: seventy one seventy five something like that.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's worth pointing out because he's had flashes. But
- 18:48Speaker 3: some of these others were talking about our superstars and
- 18:51Speaker 3: they're not putting right now all stars exactly good game.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Hope you all enjoyed it. Thanks for chiming in.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Big Dog. You know how it is, man, We're always
- 19:01Speaker 4: hungry and how do we get our food? We don't

- 19:14Speaker 4: extra happy.
- 19:16Speaker 2: I'm good at two things, cookie is one of them,
- 19:19Speaker 2: but not trying to choose what we're gonna have. I've
- 19:22Speaker 2: gone fifteen meals so far and they haven't given me
- 19:25Speaker 2: one repeat meal. There's so many to choose from, and
- 19:28Speaker 2: they can make it easy for me.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Yeah, And I think the best part of it is
- 19:31Speaker 4: is for me. I'm very particular. I'm trying new things

- 20:00Speaker 3: Jordan Moore on Twitter, posting the top five records in
- 20:04Speaker 3: baseball along with payrolls Braves two fifty three mil, Raise
- 20:08Speaker 3: eighty seven mil, Cubs two thirty two mil, Yankees to
- 20:12Speaker 3: eight mil, Padres two nine mil.
- 20:14Speaker 5: Bottom five This is fun.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Giants to one mil, Rockies one twenty two, Angels one
- 20:20Speaker 3: eighty three, Astros two thirty seven, Mets three sixty eight.
- 20:26Speaker 3: He right at the bottom, Rays plus Mets. Very different,
- 20:31Speaker 3: three hundred difference, I hope.
- 20:34Speaker 1: When the Union went into the owners, they said, here's
- 20:37Speaker 1: the standings. So do we really Are we all really
- 20:40Speaker 1: going to whine and cry about this? Yes, because have
- 20:44Speaker 1: the best record in baseball.
- 20:45Speaker 5: Because the Dodgers have sho Heo Tani.
- 20:50Speaker 1: And then the other team could have had him. It
- 20:52Speaker 1: is true they didn't try.
- 20:56Speaker 5: How many show them?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Do we show that graphic again?
- 20:58Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 20:59Speaker 1: One quick second. I mean, listen, are there some high
- 21:03Speaker 1: payroll teams up there? Yes, But it also shows you
- 21:05Speaker 1: to metch the Astros, the Giants. I mean, who thought
- 21:09Speaker 1: the Rockies were a one twenty two?
- 21:10Speaker 5: By the way, you would have thought lower.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I forgot Chris Bryan's on there making
- 21:15Speaker 1: a huge chunk. But where's the rest of that at
- 21:19Speaker 1: who's the other guys? Freeland and who else?
- 21:22Speaker 5: Uh?
- 21:24Speaker 3: Chigano got a little bit of money, yeah, a little bit,
- 21:26Speaker 3: a little bit of money.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Lorenzen got a little bit, but not to make it
- 21:29Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty two.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a little bit.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Who are the Rai's going to trade for the trade deadline?
- 21:34Speaker 1: That's the question.
- 21:34Speaker 5: You know they're going to go get somebody they should.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Rockies still more than the Pirates.
- 21:44Speaker 7: A pair of dynamic outfielders are getting the call to
- 21:48Speaker 7: the major leagues. We'll start with the Athletics bringing up
- 21:51Speaker 7: Henry Boltay. Boltay has long been kind of one of
- 21:53Speaker 7: the better prospects in the organization, but always had concerns
- 21:56Speaker 7: about whether he's going to make enough contact to make
- 21:58Speaker 7: it all work. He's shown improve movements at that this year.
- 22:01Speaker 7: He has had a very good start to the year.
- 22:02Speaker 7: He was at TRIPA Las Vegas, though, which is a
- 22:05Speaker 7: great place to hit. But the signs are encouraging. The
- 22:09Speaker 7: Mets are obviously in more trouble, but they are bringing
- 22:12Speaker 7: up I would say also the better prospect. Aj Ewing
- 22:15Speaker 7: was a big riser in our recent Top one hundred
- 22:17Speaker 7: Prospects update. He is number thirty three on the Baseball
- 22:19Speaker 7: America Top one hundred. Nowadays, hit first, I would say,
- 22:24Speaker 7: at the end of the day. But there's there's hitting ability,
- 22:27Speaker 7: there's power, there's athleticism. I know he's coming up because
- 22:30Speaker 7: Luise Robert is going on the il. But at the
- 22:33Speaker 7: same time, if you told me that he is the
- 22:35Speaker 7: Mets center fielder of the present and future, it would
- 22:39Speaker 7: not surprise me, especially for a team that needs to spark.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Oh wait, you have Louise Robert all right, now, that's
- 22:48Speaker 1: why I mean when he comes back, what do they
- 22:50Speaker 1: do with him?
- 22:51Speaker 5: With you ing?
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what, The Mets suck enough right now
- 22:54Speaker 3: that anybody that hits will find a spot.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Because Leffield is Soto, he ain't going there centerfield Robert
- 23:00Speaker 1: at some point, rightfield is bene when Robert comes back,
- 23:04Speaker 1: because right now Bench is playing center. He's doing a
- 23:05Speaker 1: good job in center field for a guy that wasn't
- 23:08Speaker 1: really a center fielder, you know. So this is why
- 23:12Speaker 1: this move is interesting. I mean, we haven't really talked
- 23:14Speaker 1: about it other than before now cratzy. But if you
- 23:17Speaker 1: if you have Soto and left, you have Benje and
- 23:19Speaker 1: center right now, and he's doing a nice job, you're
- 23:21Speaker 1: gonna bring you just put him in center and make
- 23:23Speaker 1: Bene go back to right where he wasn't as comfortable
- 23:25Speaker 1: as he has been in center. Right.
- 23:29Speaker 3: But they love playing guys out of position anyway.
- 23:33Speaker 5: I mean, I'll be here all night. It is true.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I know. That's why it's another interesting I mean, this
- 23:41Speaker 1: this why I ask Ken the question. This screams of
- 23:44Speaker 1: just full panic. This is the last thing we can
- 23:47Speaker 1: do in order to make something happen on this year
- 23:49Speaker 1: before we just punt it.
- 23:50Speaker 5: He is not saving the season.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I mean unless he comes up and he's I don't
- 23:56Speaker 1: even know who he could be. I don't know name,
- 23:59Speaker 1: name of name, like the greatest of mcgonagallat you rolla
- 24:02Speaker 1: in two thousand and one when he won MVP.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Yeah, that that ain't happening.
- 24:07Speaker 2: He is a seventy seventy stolen bases. This is a
- 24:13Speaker 2: team that doesn't get on base their own base percentages
- 24:16Speaker 2: brutes mcgoots. Even with Juan Soto, you think a rookie
- 24:19Speaker 2: is just gonna come up and all of a sudden.
- 24:21Speaker 2: They're just gonna give him the like superstar treatment. They're
- 24:23Speaker 2: gonna be like, here, see how far you can hit it,
- 24:28Speaker 2: and it's gonna be a lot of the same. I'm
- 24:30Speaker 2: not saying he can't hit three hundred In no way
- 24:32Speaker 2: am I saying that. But he better go and be
- 24:35Speaker 2: Kelly leak out there. If he's like gonna change the
- 24:38Speaker 2: game on defense for him, maybe with him and center
- 24:41Speaker 2: and benin right, maybe maybe it gives them a more
- 24:47Speaker 2: formidable outfield that they could maybe shift and cover a
- 24:50Speaker 2: little bit of what Wan is not able to do
- 24:52Speaker 2: as much and left and but like a blip on
- 24:57Speaker 2: the radar, like to me, it's cool.
- 25:00Speaker 1: To me, it's cool.
- 25:00Speaker 2: But it's not like he's not going to carry him.
- 25:03Speaker 2: They're not dropping him into the three spot or the
- 25:05Speaker 2: two spot to protect one Soto.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Did you just say that they are going to improve
- 25:11Speaker 5: their run prevention.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Here's the thing. I watched one Soda play left field
- 25:16Speaker 1: on Saturday. He wasn't bad. He made one really nice play.
- 25:21Speaker 1: He made a diving catch and just tipped off his glove.
- 25:23Speaker 1: That was a nice, really good effort. He made one
- 25:26Speaker 1: play where he cut the ball off. They could have
- 25:27Speaker 1: gone on the gap and shut it down and held
- 25:29Speaker 1: a guy from scoring. It was really nice. I mean,
- 25:31Speaker 1: he didn't look terrible on left field.
- 25:33Speaker 5: That's the spot for him.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Yeah, one d Perca didn't have the arms strength to
- 25:36Speaker 1: play right. I know he had a lot of assists.
- 25:38Speaker 1: That's because everyone ran on him. So how do you
- 25:40Speaker 1: get a lot of assists? Everyone runs on you, so
- 25:42Speaker 1: eventually throw somebody out right.
- 25:44Speaker 5: You gotta try every day.
- 25:45Speaker 3: That's the spot though, And I agree for all the
- 25:48Speaker 3: flat that he gets on the defensive side, he can
- 25:53Speaker 3: still handle it for now.
- 25:55Speaker 5: I mean it's just long term.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Eventually, when a guy slows down, he'll be a DH
- 26:00Speaker 3: for the team, but that might not be for five years.
- 26:03Speaker 5: I mean he's in his mid twenties right, But.
- 26:05Speaker 1: All those numbers.
- 26:06Speaker 2: The reason he gets dings is the same reason that
- 26:08Speaker 2: other guys get. It's it's the outs above average, it's
- 26:10Speaker 2: the defensive runs. Save those kinds of things. They don't
- 26:14Speaker 2: show up. They don't give him, They don't give him
- 26:16Speaker 2: enough credit to be able to keep a single. You
- 26:19Speaker 2: a double to a single, It doesn't you know. So
- 26:22Speaker 2: if he's a smart player, if he's going to be taught,
- 26:25Speaker 2: and I think when his year with the Yankees, there's
- 26:28Speaker 2: a lot of things that they are taught in the
- 26:30Speaker 2: outfield that you don't need to be a superstar, elite
- 26:34Speaker 2: track star to be able to get to the ball.
- 26:36Speaker 2: And if you adopt those things, I think he can
- 26:39Speaker 2: adopt him in a much smaller left field than right
- 26:42Speaker 2: field in city field. I mean right field in city field.
- 26:45Speaker 2: While it's defences keep coming in every year, it's still
- 26:48Speaker 2: much larger than left. Left is tiny at city field.
- 26:52Speaker 2: So to me, I think you play to your you
- 26:56Speaker 2: play to your strengths, or you play to mitigate the issues.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And I'm sure he can do enough, but he's not
- 27:03Speaker 2: giving who has a Gold Glove left fielder. Very few
- 27:07Speaker 2: teams do. The Brewers. They want three center fielders out
- 27:10Speaker 2: in the outfield, and you know that's how they built
- 27:12Speaker 2: their team. The Mets want to build a lineup that's well,
- 27:19Speaker 2: we'll just play wherever we want to play. Anybody can
- 27:21Speaker 2: play first, anybody can shift from second to third. We
- 27:24Speaker 2: got a cornerstone in Francisco Lindoor at short who didn't
- 27:28Speaker 2: look like he was ready to go early in the season,
- 27:31Speaker 2: will take center field. One good season of release. Robert
- 27:34Speaker 2: is all that we need, Like there's a lot more
- 27:36Speaker 2: going on. The stalwarts in the Mets is jan Stone
- 27:40Speaker 2: is one Soto. So anytime you talk about struggles, there's
- 27:43Speaker 2: no way we can talk about Juan Soto being the
- 27:46Speaker 2: reason that they're struggling.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and who knows, maybe it's a perfect storm. Mewing
- 27:52Speaker 3: just starts hitting, getting on base, set on the table.
- 27:55Speaker 3: The one thing that you will see is he is
- 27:58Speaker 3: super fast.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Fun to watch.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Setting the table, get setting the table in the eight
- 28:03Speaker 1: nine spot.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Yeah for sodok so he gets in traffic for soda.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Like sure, but SODA's he steals. If he's hitting in
- 28:18Speaker 2: a ninth spot, he gets on. Everybody's excited. Save the ball,
- 28:22Speaker 2: steal second four, go to first one. We know you're
- 28:29Speaker 2: not gonna swing, so we're not gonna throw anything in
- 28:31Speaker 2: the zone. So now you're first and second. It's not
- 28:37Speaker 2: turning the team around offensively, that's it.
- 28:39Speaker 5: No, No, I get it.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yeah, just try and get some more traffic going because,
- 28:45Speaker 3: like Ken said, split squad, bottom of the lineup that's
- 28:48Speaker 3: not going to play for a team that's gonna have
- 28:50Speaker 3: to go on like a ninety five win pace the
- 28:52Speaker 3: rest of the year. Chandler Rome tweeting that Carlos Kraa
- 28:55Speaker 3: joined the Astros Advance meeting on FaceTime yesterday and good spirits.
- 28:59Speaker 3: He had surgery. He's done for the year, which we
- 29:02Speaker 3: know already the Astros might be done for the year.
- 29:05Speaker 3: We're going to talk about them in our early trade
- 29:08Speaker 3: deadline segment or not even a trade deadline, just trade segment.
- 29:11Speaker 3: But remember when we talked so much about how the
- 29:16Speaker 3: Astros were going to fit all the pieces together. He
- 29:19Speaker 3: sacked paratus, not going to get to play every day.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Usually that stuff works itself out.
- 29:25Speaker 1: And care why is Korea just joined the meeting just
- 29:29Speaker 1: to say hi to everybody?
- 29:30Speaker 5: Yes, just hey, I made it through surgery.
- 29:33Speaker 3: I miss you guys, and I'll be back once I'm
- 29:36Speaker 3: at a certain stage of the recovery process.
- 29:38Speaker 5: That was the word. It is what it is.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Hey, Last year there were two massive contracts that moved
- 29:45Speaker 3: to mid season devers in Korea.
- 29:48Speaker 5: It's not working.
- 29:49Speaker 1: It's not impossible, it's not working out for either one
- 29:51Speaker 1: of them at the moment. As we're just eating that
- 29:54Speaker 1: Korea money right now, Tough Twins were like, be stinkful,
- 29:58Speaker 1: we don't have to pay that.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Those teams are happy they got rid of those deals.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Right now are the Red Sox.
- 30:06Speaker 3: I mean, at this very second, based on Dever's numbers.
- 30:09Speaker 3: But ask me again, and that might be different.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Do you think the Devers would have been having a
- 30:15Speaker 1: bad year if he was in Boston this year?
- 30:17Speaker 5: No, that's a great point.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I don't because every year in Boston he did pretty well.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Do you feel like they got a little tickle out
- 30:25Speaker 3: of sending him to a place that could be a hell.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Hole for many They did, right, of course they did.
- 30:31Speaker 5: They could not wait to call.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I mean, they could have found a bigger park to
- 30:34Speaker 1: send him to.
- 30:35Speaker 3: They would have, right, they would have sent him to
- 30:38Speaker 3: Yosemite if it was.
- 30:41Speaker 1: The biggest place, the hardest place for him to hit,
- 30:43Speaker 1: they sent him to.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Sometimes those are the things that get overlooked. I'm glad
- 30:46Speaker 3: you brought that up where people are like, see it worked.
- 30:48Speaker 3: He sucks And even I kind of fell into that trap.
- 30:51Speaker 3: And you're like, hold up, let me tell you about
- 30:53Speaker 3: the difference between Boston's Park and the Giants home.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Those five balls he hits the left that were that
- 30:59Speaker 1: are now caught all the monster for at least a
- 31:01Speaker 1: single Now they're caught. Now now the officer's running in
- 31:04Speaker 1: going I got it.
- 31:05Speaker 3: You're saying that some players fit certain ballparks better than others.
- 31:08Speaker 2: M HM.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Disagree. There's no way.
- 31:13Speaker 2: There's no way East apparatus would do well in Houston zero.
- 31:16Speaker 2: His hit profile does not work that way. Sarcasm.
- 31:20Speaker 5: Let's run both of these back to back if we can.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Addison Barger has nothing structurally wrong in his elbow. This
- 31:26Speaker 3: from Shi DAVIDI. They said the issue is in the joint.
- 31:29Speaker 3: He's getting a cortizone shot. That's according to John Schneider,
- 31:32Speaker 3: the manager, that's going to keep him down three four days.
- 31:34Speaker 3: So Schneid said, hopefully a short stint on the injured list.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Barger back on there. He had that ridiculous throw the
- 31:40Speaker 3: other night.
- 31:42Speaker 1: By the way, nothing structurally wrong, and why does it hurt?
- 31:47Speaker 5: Well?
- 31:47Speaker 3: Structurally wrong usually means I'm not even going to pretend
- 31:51Speaker 3: like I'm a doctor here.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just asking, yeah.
- 31:55Speaker 3: You know, structure, no structural damage. I'll usually say like, no,
- 31:58Speaker 3: you know, big tear, anything like that.
- 32:01Speaker 1: So there's something going on in there though.
- 32:02Speaker 5: If it hurts, there is something going on.
- 32:04Speaker 3: I agree. What's up with Eric Blower this year. What
- 32:08Speaker 3: what's your take?
- 32:09Speaker 1: Maybe maybe he's eating too much gluten.
- 32:13Speaker 2: That's what everybody used to say when I don't know
- 32:15Speaker 2: if AJ were here, heard guys that said that, like, Ooh,
- 32:17Speaker 2: I'm having too much gluten.
- 32:19Speaker 1: My joints hurt. Nothing structurally wrong. Never heard of that.
- 32:23Speaker 1: I was done before that. We ate all the gluten.
- 32:26Speaker 1: We ate all the pasta, all the cookies, all the
- 32:28Speaker 1: ice cream, we ate all that stuff.
- 32:29Speaker 5: I'm not going to comment on that.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Never heard thating. I know Matt Lee Crow one time
- 32:34Speaker 1: had the gut though, and he was that's that was
- 32:37Speaker 1: a completely different animal, dude, matter.
- 32:42Speaker 2: What, No, Matt Lee Croy has looked like he's fifty
- 32:45Speaker 2: years old forever. Is he aged differently, He's just because
- 32:49Speaker 2: he had that gray hair forever.
- 32:50Speaker 1: But he's awesome. The Eric Blower thing where they said,
- 32:53Speaker 1: oh it was just a we'd show the tweet again,
- 32:56Speaker 1: where it was just come on, This had to do
- 32:58Speaker 1: with him making statements you can't I'm I'm sorry, Like
- 33:01Speaker 1: he said some stuff that they didn't like and they
- 33:03Speaker 1: were like, oh, we have an opportunity to move on.
- 33:06Speaker 1: We can do it and just say oh, he's not
- 33:07Speaker 1: pitching great. I'm sorry. Crowds you disagree, Like if you
- 33:11Speaker 1: can't say that nut, there's certain things as players, you
- 33:14Speaker 1: know that if you say it and you don't pitch
- 33:16Speaker 1: or play really well, he gives them a reason.
- 33:20Speaker 2: AJ can say. AJ can say what he wants to say.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Eric cannot, Eric lower cannot. He did well last year,
- 33:29Speaker 2: should have been treated differently, maybe, But go back and
- 33:32Speaker 2: look at the games he was pitching in. When he
- 33:34Speaker 2: was pitching, they were putting that man out there. They
- 33:36Speaker 2: were putting him out there. He was giving up some dingers,
- 33:39Speaker 2: he was pitching some innings where I was like, okay,
- 33:41Speaker 2: he pitched well for three Okay, were we taking them
- 33:44Speaker 2: at No? This was this was setting up just certain
- 33:47Speaker 2: guys just can't say what they want to say. And
- 33:49Speaker 2: that's okay that he said it, But you also got
- 33:51Speaker 2: to understand. You make your bed, you sleep in it,
- 33:54Speaker 2: and he'll find another big league job.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Blessing in disguise.
- 33:58Speaker 3: He's gonna get picked up by another team, be a starter,
- 34:01Speaker 3: and he's going to have a good year.
- 34:02Speaker 5: Watch it.
- 34:03Speaker 6: Oh yeah, he still got it year.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I asked Ken about this in our last part of
- 34:12Speaker 3: Inside Scoop. But this is the main man who covers
- 34:16Speaker 3: this for The Athletic. Evandrelik wrote, it has begun, MLB
- 34:21Speaker 3: and the Players Association holding their first collective bargaining meeting
- 34:24Speaker 3: in New York, that is today, making opening presentations ahead
- 34:27Speaker 3: of what's expected to be a lengthy fight over a
- 34:30Speaker 3: salary cap. The one thing to keep in mind, too,
- 34:33Speaker 3: is that they're not really going to do anything real
- 34:35Speaker 3: for many months, but they do have to fake like
- 34:37Speaker 3: they're doing things. That's part of like the what is
- 34:39Speaker 3: it the National Labor Relations Board. I think it's the
- 34:42Speaker 3: nl r B, where you have to make fair efforts
- 34:48Speaker 3: to actually collective collectively bargaincrats. So they have to put
- 34:52Speaker 3: real PowerPoint dex together and say we're trying, even though
- 34:56Speaker 3: the fight will really happen in the offseason.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Probably, as one person told me, the least constructive meetings
- 35:05Speaker 2: that he's ever been a part of, like zero information.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Like people are so vague because nobody wants to give
- 35:14Speaker 2: or show anything possible, show any of their cards. And
- 35:20Speaker 2: yet they're supposed to negotiate in good faith based on
- 35:24Speaker 2: the National Labor regulations, but they don't. And it's neither side.
- 35:30Speaker 2: One side's going to say, well, we did we did
- 35:32Speaker 2: quite a bit, and the other side would say, well,
- 35:34Speaker 2: that side didn't do anything, and so it's just good
- 35:38Speaker 2: faith negotiations, like let's get it done.
- 35:41Speaker 3: It's actually a pathetic process. I read way too much
- 35:45Speaker 3: about it. It's so pathetic, like what Kratz is talking about,
- 35:48Speaker 3: where they just dance and say all kinds of legal jargon. Yes,
- 35:52Speaker 3: I hope it gets replaced one day by AI because
- 35:57Speaker 3: it's such garbage. It's such garbage, like it is like
- 36:01Speaker 3: the pure trash of the earth. But lawyers saying a
- 36:05Speaker 3: boom boo boo.
- 36:06Speaker 5: And then they're like they're like basically talking to a bit. Oh,
- 36:09Speaker 5: and you're so cute.
- 36:11Speaker 3: I don't actually want to say anything until December, and
- 36:15Speaker 3: then we'll say one thing and then we'll really talk
- 36:17Speaker 3: in February.
- 36:18Speaker 5: That's basically what they do.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Like you have to put it out off so much.
- 36:23Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 36:24Speaker 2: But it's not just baseball. It's not just baseball. It
- 36:26Speaker 2: happens in the Pennsylvania Teachers Union. It's it's unions negotiate things,
- 36:32Speaker 2: and it's the fight of well we'll get.
- 36:35Speaker 1: A little bit more.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I'm not saying that we're gonna get anymore but look
- 36:40Speaker 2: what happened to NHL. NHL said, yes, we'll take a
- 36:44Speaker 2: we'll take a ten percent pay cut in our next CBA.
- 36:47Speaker 2: And you know what the owner said, screw that. We're
- 36:50Speaker 2: gonna we're gonna lock you out for a year and
- 36:53Speaker 2: we're gonna take twenty five percent.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Because you guys already shown that you're a week group.
- 36:58Speaker 5: They're like, ha, you talked first, you got punish. Yeah.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Hey, the Braves placed Sean Murphy back on the injured list.
- 37:07Speaker 3: This time it's a fractured left middle finger. Ah's favorite finger.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Stud can't get right.
- 37:15Speaker 5: It sucks. Catcher's interference on Sunday, how's about.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I saw that one out he got whacked hard. He
- 37:23Speaker 1: used to have catchers interference like once every five years.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Now it's like once every two games. We have one.
- 37:30Speaker 5: And Sandy.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Sandy Leon is still going strong. He was playing in
- 37:34Speaker 3: Mexico recently. Now he's playing in the big leagues with
- 37:38Speaker 3: the one of the best teams in baseball. And also,
- 37:42Speaker 3: you know you've got Kim back, so there's a lot
- 37:47Speaker 3: of up and down going on. Yeah, they are more
- 37:51Speaker 3: than fine. Sean Murphy for the second half or for
- 37:56Speaker 3: the stretch run would be good. And then you get Murphy,
- 37:59Speaker 3: I mean bold in a blow and he's got a
- 38:02Speaker 3: really nice.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Depth for the playoffs. Or maybe they claim a billion games, or.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Maybe they claim him back when he goes on waivers.
- 38:12Speaker 5: Mm hm, he might not. He didn't go on waivers though,
- 38:16Speaker 5: again did.
- 38:17Speaker 2: He No, No, what I'm saying. He's with the athletics,
- 38:19Speaker 2: and he knows what the athletics. Dude, they were carrying
- 38:22Speaker 2: three guys and Shane banger hands. He does pretty decent.
- 38:28Speaker 2: He's gonna play every day.
- 38:29Speaker 3: So just saying, bangaliers, that sucks when he's been working
- 38:37Speaker 3: a while to get back at big surgery and then
- 38:39Speaker 3: he got a different injury for Murphy.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Yeah, he had the hip surgery. He has his finger.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Stinks, guys, just some guys, just I wonder, I wonder
- 38:49Speaker 2: if like all that stuff like continues to linger for guys. Obviously,
- 38:54Speaker 2: I was fortunately one one surgery. Two surgeries, had a
- 38:58Speaker 2: loose body, but it wasn't earnest season like if it
- 39:01Speaker 2: lingers like a hip surgery sounds painful. I haven't ever
- 39:05Speaker 2: had hit pain yet. I made at some point, but
- 39:09Speaker 2: like to then get back there and catch and then
- 39:11Speaker 2: you break your finger, and you're like, maybe it'll be
- 39:14Speaker 2: blessing in disguise because he'll get fully healthy from the
- 39:18Speaker 2: hip once his finger heels.
- 39:21Speaker 1: My finger's hurt. But now your back's gonna hurt because
- 39:24Speaker 1: you just got landscaping duty.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Most players probably still even in today's game, rush back
- 39:30Speaker 3: too quickly from any.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Slowed everyone down, though a lot of times better.
- 39:34Speaker 5: It's way better than he used to be.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Oh, he used to be you were getting backs sooner
- 39:38Speaker 1: because everyone didn't want to lose their job. Now people
- 39:41Speaker 1: were like, ah, everyone gets hurt. Now I can take
- 39:43Speaker 1: two months when I only needed a week.
