- 2:18Speaker 1: Dancing Rabbit Golf dot com. And guess what Drew Brees
- 2:23Speaker 1: twenty twenty six Hall of Famer Baby, how about that?
- 2:28Speaker 1: That's uh, that's pretty cool. What's the one breeze moment
- 2:33Speaker 1: you'd relive on a loop forever? And where were you
- 2:41Speaker 1: when it happened? What's the one breeze moment? He had
- 2:46Speaker 1: so many that you as a Saints fan Florida Lee,
- 2:51Speaker 1: who'd at Bourbon Street Warehouse District Uptown Metaie, you know
- 2:57Speaker 1: the mariny? What's what's the one breeze moment you'd relive
- 3:02Speaker 1: on a loop forever? And where were you when it happened?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Hit us up the Dancing Rabbit Golf text line six
- 3:12Speaker 1: oh one eight eight five three seven seven six six
- 3:18Speaker 1: one eight eight, five, three, seven, seven six. Ooh, is
- 3:25Speaker 1: Drew Brees a top five all time NFL quarterback? Wow? Okay,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I love all these lists. Brady Manning, Rogers, Mahomes. So
- 3:40Speaker 1: we're just going basically this era the hell with Montana
- 3:45Speaker 1: and all the other guys. Uh okay, So Brady Peyton, Manning, Rogers,
- 3:52Speaker 1: Mahomes in this era. Absolutely, you can make a strong
- 3:56Speaker 1: argument for Drew Brees to be top five if you
- 3:59Speaker 1: want to make this era twenty six years is two thousand? Okay? Cool?
- 4:04Speaker 1: So that includes Tom, Brady, Peyton, Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Mahomes.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And there's been some others that have been awesome I mean,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and yes, some that have been awesome who haven't won it?
- 4:18Speaker 1: I mean, and again go back to the era before that.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Warren Moon was way better than several qbs that have
- 4:23Speaker 1: won it throughout history and of course in the two thousands,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Dan Marino and Dan Fout. So yeah, I can go
- 4:32Speaker 1: Breeze as a modern era top five. That's easy for me.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I can I can do that? Would you? You have
- 4:41Speaker 1: it right? I mean, hey, it's subjective, but I like
- 4:47Speaker 1: the one that what's the one Breeze moment for you?
- 4:51Speaker 1: That that like gets your fingertips. I mean you're tingling,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you know the back of your neck. You know where
- 5:00Speaker 1: you were? You were either you were at your maybe
- 5:03Speaker 1: your house or friend's house, or you were at the dome.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Are you were at a bar and restaurant, I don't know, somewhere.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You may have been on the road with them. Cool,
- 5:14Speaker 1: But what's what's the one breeze moment you'd relive on
- 5:20Speaker 1: the loop forever? And where were you when it happened?
- 5:25Speaker 1: I will tell you all this. I shared this for
- 5:27Speaker 1: a year even before Jackson joined us. I super bowls,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I mean I like them. They're fun. Wendy and I've
- 5:35Speaker 1: had a blast over the years. We party big time.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It's Wendy and I. At times it was our kids,
- 5:43Speaker 1: I guess pre driving and when they're not in college
- 5:45Speaker 1: or now out. But and y'all know my theory on
- 5:50Speaker 1: Super Bowl parties. So the one time that the only
- 5:55Speaker 1: time that I've ever jumped off the couch watching a
- 5:58Speaker 1: Super Bowl was Saints Colts and uh, and I'm not.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I've told y'all I like the Saints. I love New Orleans.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I like the Saints, But I don't claim I don't
- 6:12Speaker 1: walk around the claiming I don't want to like that.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I just love like that. I'm a gung ho rabbid.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I'm gung ho New Orleans and I love it. I
- 6:21Speaker 1: like it when they win. And I loved watching Breeze
- 6:23Speaker 1: and Peyton, and again, I reference it all the time.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I I should have appreciated it more when Jeff Duncan
- 6:33Speaker 1: wrote the book Peyton and Breeze, and I got to
- 6:35Speaker 1: go behind the scenes by reading that book. Then I realized, Wow,
- 6:40Speaker 1: how big it was and how incredible it was, you know. So,
- 6:46Speaker 1: but I was also blessed, like a lot of you,
- 6:48Speaker 1: to go to I got invited to a bunch of
- 6:50Speaker 1: games over the years. I re engaged with them after
- 6:52Speaker 1: going to a million games in the eighties and just
- 6:55Speaker 1: walking around the stadium and not being interested, and then
- 6:59Speaker 1: all of a sudden they got good. And then, you know,
- 7:03Speaker 1: I never thought as as a seven and eight nine
- 7:07Speaker 1: year old going to the dome. I never thought that
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'd be an adult and be in the dome shoulder
- 7:15Speaker 1: to shoulder with people, because, like I said, you could
- 7:19Speaker 1: pitch a tent and tailgate. I mean you could look
- 7:22Speaker 1: down and there wouldn't be anybody within twenty five seats
- 7:25Speaker 1: of you either direction. I'm talking about. My aunt had
- 7:31Speaker 1: tickets between the forties. I could have reached out and
- 7:34Speaker 1: you know, padded bum Phillips and Earl Campbell on the
- 7:38Speaker 1: shoulder or Archie before he went to Minnesota, among others.
- 7:44Speaker 1: But this is the summer of Breeze, I mean Lane
- 7:49Speaker 1: and Breeze. I don't know why it's all coming out
- 7:51Speaker 1: of Louisiana of it, but Breeze is a first ballot
- 7:54Speaker 1: Hall of Famer and Jackson told me I had not
- 7:55Speaker 1: thought about this because Jackson I talked about it last
- 7:59Speaker 1: well Bowl week when they knock on the you know,
- 8:01Speaker 1: when they do the whole thing. When he was presented
- 8:03Speaker 1: and said, hey, you're a first ballot Pro Football Hall
- 8:07Speaker 1: of Famer brother, which is like rarefied air first ballots rarefied.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That's just that's yeah, like all these guys, if you
- 8:15Speaker 1: just get to run out of the tunnel in the
- 8:17Speaker 1: NFL in a few weeks, that's that's insane. I don't
- 8:20Speaker 1: I mean most of these guys we don't even know
- 8:22Speaker 1: their name, right, I mean the free safety starting for
- 8:26Speaker 1: you know, the Arizona Cardinals. But he's you know, he's
- 8:30Speaker 1: a good football player. Think about being first ballot Hall
- 8:34Speaker 1: of Famer, rarefied Air. Yeah, I mean I went on
- 8:39Speaker 1: the ballot once and I'm in Yeah, dude, that see,
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's a whole another Like there's Hall of Famers and
- 8:46Speaker 1: then there's the first ballot Hall of Famers. You you
- 8:48Speaker 1: do understand that, there's the VIP Club, which is big
- 8:52Speaker 1: time just being in it, and then there's the Yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 1: we're we're the first ballot Hall of Famers, right, crazy
- 9:02Speaker 1: rarefied here, no doubt, no doubt. Hey the number uh
- 9:08Speaker 1: and that was Jay Meadows, Jackson Meadows. He's doing the
- 9:11Speaker 1: straight funk tease of the week all year, which is
- 9:15Speaker 1: gonna be awesome. Ready the uh the text line is
- 9:18Speaker 1: six oh one eight eight five three seven seven six.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Steve Palozzolo's back today. We'll tell you more on the
- 9:26Speaker 1: other side. What's before? Yeah? Oh wow, Boa whoa easy,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm not sure what happened there, clown X whoa it's
- 10:22Speaker 1: really despicable. Guy named slice Bread out of bounds ESPN
- 10:27Speaker 1: one oh five nine The Zone. We want to dedicate
- 10:29Speaker 1: this segment to Jimbo Fisher and uh, guy named slice Bread.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I guess he's on the Slice Bread Tour. Still trying
- 10:36Speaker 1: to find that guy who hijacked this program and was
- 10:41Speaker 1: that when he was mad at Lane here it was right.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It's really despicable.
- 10:46Speaker 1: He got mad at Saban and Lane in his last
- 10:48Speaker 1: year or two and through a fit. It's really despicable. Yeah,
- 10:52Speaker 1: here's here's what Jimbo Fisher's teams didn't have.
- 10:57Speaker 2: We have a saying around our place. We eat off
- 10:58Speaker 2: the floor, and if you're willing to off the floor,
- 11:00Speaker 2: you can be special.
- 11:02Speaker 1: That's all I want to know, is your high school
- 11:04Speaker 1: football team today ready to do this.
- 11:11Speaker 2: We have a staying around our place. We eat off
- 11:13Speaker 2: the floor, and if you're willing to eat off the floor,
- 11:15Speaker 2: you can be special.
- 11:16Speaker 1: It's that simple. Drew Brees was willing to do it.
- 11:20Speaker 1: That's why he's a twenty twenty six Pro Football Hall
- 11:23Speaker 1: of Famer first ballot. So here's the VIP room, Drew,
- 11:29Speaker 1: and then there's another room that's for the first ballot guys. Yeah,
- 11:35Speaker 1: seventy six of those guys in the NFL ever first ballot.
- 11:40Speaker 1: That's it. Holy moly, do you have the list? I
- 11:47Speaker 1: do not let me grab it, okay, because I want
- 11:49Speaker 1: to start guessing. I mean, I want to start guessing
- 11:52Speaker 1: who the first one that comes to mind. As soon
- 11:54Speaker 1: as you get it, I'm going to throw it out
- 11:56Speaker 1: to you and I'm going to see if he's a
- 11:58Speaker 1: first ballot Hall of Famer. I mean, he should be
- 12:00Speaker 1: because he's the greatest player at this particular position. But
- 12:04Speaker 1: I got to know if some of the things he
- 12:05Speaker 1: did held him up. They didn't. Yet you're not talking
- 12:10Speaker 1: about I'm not talking about it. Come on, I bet
- 12:16Speaker 1: you loved Michael Vick playing video Which video game? Did
- 12:19Speaker 1: you play? Madden? Okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got you.
- 12:23Speaker 1: It was the best. ESPN one oh five nine the Zone.
- 12:27Speaker 1: We're taking a look at first ballot Hall of Famers,
- 12:31Speaker 1: brought to you by I Care Professionals doctor Kirk Jeffries.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So they're the leader when it comes to cataract surgery.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I Care Professionals, doctor Kirk Jeffries and his team. Okay,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and they have two locations on Lakeland Drive, two beautiful clinics.
- 12:48Speaker 1: One in Jackson, right where right, a kind of all
- 12:51Speaker 1: cross down from where Billy Bean and Lenny Dykster used
- 12:54Speaker 1: to be awesome for the Jackson Vets. Right, So it's
- 12:58Speaker 1: in the Jackson I mean, it's right off five fifty
- 13:00Speaker 1: and then they've got one down flow wood bell meat
- 13:03Speaker 1: great location too. The leader in Cataract Surgery I Care Professionals,
- 13:10Speaker 1: doctor Kirk Jeffries, two locations on Lakeland Drive. Now they
- 13:14Speaker 1: do routine exams. You need to be able to see
- 13:16Speaker 1: the tennis ball, right it's National Pickleball Day. You need
- 13:20Speaker 1: to be able to see the pickleball. You need to
- 13:22Speaker 1: be able to see to drive. We need you to
- 13:24Speaker 1: have the right glasses and contacts and all that stuff.
- 13:28Speaker 1: So the Leader in Cataract Surgery, LASIK Surgery and then
- 13:34Speaker 1: routine exams, glasses and contacts. I've been going there for
- 13:38Speaker 1: twenty years. I Care Professionals, doctor Kirk Jefferies, two locations
- 13:45Speaker 1: on Lakeland Drive. I Care Professionals. We need to give
- 13:48Speaker 1: away some sunglasses. I have to hit up. I have
- 13:52Speaker 1: to hit up the crew whether it's right. I mean,
- 13:55Speaker 1: they've got an unbelievable optical shop. I guess that's the
- 13:58Speaker 1: way I'm supposed to say it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Because
- 14:01Speaker 1: the glasses that I'm wearing right now are from high
- 14:04Speaker 1: care professionals, but they're not sunglasses. I'm not pulling what
- 14:09Speaker 1: some football coaches do and wearing sunglasses at night or inside.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Tell you let them know you're serious. You know you're right.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Going back to high school football, I need to know.
- 14:20Speaker 2: We have a saying around our place. We eat off
- 14:22Speaker 2: the floor, and if you're willing to eat off the floor,
- 14:24Speaker 2: you can be special.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Who's committed? That's what I want to know. There's probably
- 14:29Speaker 1: a guy listening going, Uh, who is this dude? I've
- 14:32Speaker 1: been I've been driving to the weight room every day
- 14:35Speaker 1: this summer and having to be there at six am.
- 14:38Speaker 1: What are you talking about being committed and now we're
- 14:41Speaker 1: practicing in its one hundred and forty seven degrees. No,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm the overwhelming majority of kids that play any sport
- 14:50Speaker 1: are committed. But we have fun, right, we got to
- 14:53Speaker 1: know right, don't do it anymore exactly? Oh committed? I
- 14:59Speaker 1: know you weren't. I mean you didn't even think about
- 15:02Speaker 1: playing defense, did man? Not? Not in football? Well, I've
- 15:08Speaker 1: meant in who's that was the first team? No, you
- 15:12Speaker 1: weren't first team defense, not at Clinton, at Mount saying Mount.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I mean you were playing a bunch of guys that
- 15:18Speaker 1: were five sixp it off the glass. I'm a pin it,
- 15:21Speaker 1: but that's because those guys had six inch vertical leaps,
- 15:26Speaker 1: so I mean you were six for you were the
- 15:28Speaker 1: tallest guy in the league. Got pinned. That's what I did.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I played defensive Clynton, so I did. Okay, mmm, i'd
- 15:35Speaker 1: have to see that. Maybe we can find some tape
- 15:38Speaker 1: of that hot shot. We've got some Will Well, we've
- 15:42Speaker 1: got some Matt. Do you all remember Matt Flynn, the
- 15:44Speaker 1: quarterback at l s U. He's got a will must
- 15:52Speaker 1: Chimp story. It's pretty good, and that we're going to
- 15:55Speaker 1: play on the other side. I thought it was funny,
- 15:58Speaker 1: did you It's very.
- 16:00Speaker 2: It is.
- 16:01Speaker 1: It's just right on the board. I thought you had
- 16:04Speaker 1: me a must Champ drop. But I I'll have I
- 16:08Speaker 1: don't know if I if I do have it or not.
- 16:12Speaker 1: How about this? You're damn right it is. I love this.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Show.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Steve Palazolo is going to talk NFL with us at
- 16:25Speaker 1: nine thirty looking forward to that. I do you have
- 16:29Speaker 1: your list? Okay? It was Lawrence Taylor, a first bout
- 16:32Speaker 1: Hall of Famer. I've got I've got some.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Uh.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I believe he's going to be on that list. Yeah,
- 16:38Speaker 1: he is there.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Now.
- 16:39Speaker 1: This is a Future Football Legends dot Com that lists
- 16:42Speaker 1: out all of them. But they have the scene called
- 16:44Speaker 1: a legends score Legend scores of you know that it's
- 16:48Speaker 1: a number comprised of whether you win an MVP regular season, MVP,
- 16:51Speaker 1: super Bowl, MVP. But they qualify each one of those
- 16:55Speaker 1: all team selection whatever, and they add them up and
- 16:58Speaker 1: they use that to judge who will end up being
- 17:00Speaker 1: a first ballot, which is kind of cool, but they, Uh,
- 17:04Speaker 1: how in the world they have Peyton manning? This man
- 17:07Speaker 1: has triple the score that everyone else has and I
- 17:12Speaker 1: don't understand that interesting, Well I don't. I don't know
- 17:15Speaker 1: the criteria yet. Did he win I mean, did a
- 17:18Speaker 1: whole bunch of a war? I guess he was in
- 17:19Speaker 1: the oh, I mean he won MVPs for days for days, Yeah, yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I mean the media, I mean they swooned over him.
- 17:26Speaker 1: But it still wasn't better Breeze. Well, well, I think
- 17:30Speaker 1: a lot of people will say he was, and then
- 17:32Speaker 1: I think some people will say he was, which most
- 17:36Speaker 1: people will say he was in which passat of the game. Okay, Well,
- 17:40Speaker 1: where do you want to go? First? Go deep ball?
- 17:43Speaker 1: Ain't no way throwing a better deep ball? Okay, fair
- 17:45Speaker 1: enough accuracy, but now that that would be a great
- 17:50Speaker 1: debate because they were both they were very good. They
- 17:55Speaker 1: were both again point zero one percent. So I at
- 18:01Speaker 1: this point, what are we doing? I mean, are we
- 18:03Speaker 1: all going to sit down and actually watch eighty hours
- 18:06Speaker 1: of tape so that we can, you know, justify our
- 18:09Speaker 1: stance over who's more accurate eight Manning or Drew Brees
- 18:14Speaker 1: or are we just totally splitting hairs and so on?
- 18:19Speaker 1: You know, they they You run the numbers fair enough
- 18:23Speaker 1: because Breeze is statistically better. Okay, I know that's not well,
- 18:30Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I'm not argue. Look, man, Drew Brees
- 18:32Speaker 1: may be the most accurate ever passer in the NFL.
- 18:36Speaker 2: He may be.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not one that could, you know, make
- 18:40Speaker 1: that call. But yes, he we can say this. He's
- 18:44Speaker 1: one of the most accurate. He's top five most accurate
- 18:46Speaker 1: in the history of the NFL. How about that? He
- 18:50Speaker 1: is widely viewed as the Okay, all right, so Nick
- 18:56Speaker 1: is coming in hot on the Dancing Rabbit golf text line.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers is better than both best pastor of all time?
- 19:03Speaker 1: All Right, I'd like to get our listener's reaction to
- 19:08Speaker 1: Nick and I like this. I like it when listeners
- 19:10Speaker 1: come in hot with a strong, strong opinion and take
- 19:14Speaker 1: Nick says that Aaron Rodgers is better than Peyton Manning
- 19:17Speaker 1: and Drew Brees best pastor of all time. Your reaction
- 19:21Speaker 1: six oh one eight eight, five, three, seven, seven six
- 19:25Speaker 1: is the text line, We're all gonna die. Oh man,
- 20:17Speaker 1: good morning, Welcome into the Ida bound show EESPN one
- 20:24Speaker 1: oh five nine the zone. It was the summer of
- 20:27Speaker 1: Lane kiff Er. It still is the summer of Lane Kiffin.
- 20:30Speaker 1: But Drew Brees decided to steal some of the spotlight
- 20:36Speaker 1: and h He is a twenty twenty six Pro Football
- 20:40Speaker 1: Hall of Fame inductee. He's also first ballot and Jackson
- 20:44Speaker 1: just told me, what was the number you used? Seventy six,
- 20:48Speaker 1: seventy six first ballot Hall of Famers. That's it. That's it,
- 20:52Speaker 1: all time, seventy six. Drew Brees is one of them.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Drew Brees one of them. That's incredible, and we knew
- 21:08Speaker 1: he would be first ballot, right but still once it
- 21:13Speaker 1: plays out, you celebrate him. This summer. The Saints have
- 21:17Speaker 1: already done several things around this starting last February. When
- 21:25Speaker 1: you get the knock on the door of the call
- 21:28Speaker 1: and He and Larry Fitzgerald are the first ballot Hall
- 21:32Speaker 1: of Famers for the twenty twenty sixth class of the
- 21:35Speaker 1: Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Sean Payton
- 21:39Speaker 1: his presenter, This doesn't surprise anybody. And as we have
- 21:44Speaker 1: talked about fort well for years, but the last few months,
- 21:50Speaker 1: people weren't sure if New Orleans was going to bounce back.
- 21:53Speaker 1: There was no guarantee after Katrina. I mean, God, bless
- 21:59Speaker 1: what happened to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. And look at
- 22:02Speaker 1: it today. It's truly remarkable, and I mean it's thriving
- 22:07Speaker 1: and growing and people are moving. You know, when when
- 22:10Speaker 1: I was growing up, nobody thought that people would would
- 22:12Speaker 1: want to buy second homes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and now they do because it's awesome and it's hot,
- 22:18Speaker 1: hotter than it's ever been. What I mean by that
- 22:19Speaker 1: is real estate from Bay Saint Louis, Ocean Springs and
- 22:24Speaker 1: the Back Bay and everything else. And so with New Orleans,
- 22:29Speaker 1: there was no guarantee coming out of that, right, and
- 22:33Speaker 1: then we get Sean Payton, who no one knew who
- 22:37Speaker 1: he was, and uh, but Drew Brees, you kind of knew.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I mean back then, you didn't watch that much Chargers football,
- 22:45Speaker 1: and not all the games were on at that time.
- 22:47Speaker 1: We you know, things started really moving and expediting the
- 22:51Speaker 1: process of having access to all the NFL shortly thereafter.
- 22:56Speaker 1: But he was kind of out in no man's land
- 22:58Speaker 1: San Diego Chargers before going to LA. You would get
- 23:02Speaker 1: them every now and then, but not often. Right, he
- 23:04Speaker 1: played it Purdue. None of you watch Purdue football, and
- 23:08Speaker 1: so he was having a good career at San Diego.
- 23:14Speaker 1: He gets hurt, and we've talked about what everything that
- 23:18Speaker 1: went down in Miami and New Orleans. And then because winning,
- 23:23Speaker 1: isn't it crazy, It's hard to really wrap your brain
- 23:25Speaker 1: around it. Winning NFL games and winning franchise helps rebuild
- 23:31Speaker 1: the morale. But then more people are like, oh, well,
- 23:38Speaker 1: I'm excited. I want to invest. I either want to
- 23:40Speaker 1: invest my time and money and go down there, or
- 23:43Speaker 1: I want to invest in the you know, rebuild of
- 23:50Speaker 1: one of America's most eclectic and fascinating cities. In top five,
- 23:56Speaker 1: top four culinary city in the country. That's Drew Brees,
- 24:01Speaker 1: first ballot Hall of Famer. So you've got the list,
- 24:04Speaker 1: all right. So the seventy six guys that are first
- 24:10Speaker 1: ballot Hall of Famers. Okay, so that's it. That's it.
- 24:19Speaker 1: So Peyton, Breese, Montana, Lawrence Taylor, Yeah, okay, I me
- 24:25Speaker 1: your legends are up there, right, the legends are up there. Okay.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Terry Bradshaw, Oh, I believe Terry is there. He is there.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Roger Stallbach Stallback's there, okay. John Hannah, Oh, he surely
- 24:45Speaker 1: with New England Patriots. I interviewed him years ago at
- 24:47Speaker 1: SEC media Days. John Hannah actually made him almost cry. Nice.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I didn't mean well, I just asked him a question
- 24:55Speaker 1: about bart. I just he was sitting beside me. I
- 24:58Speaker 1: just said, what did Bear Bryant mean he and he's
- 25:01Speaker 1: this is a big man. Yeah, he's a big He
- 25:04Speaker 1: looks like Paul Bunyan and so I mean he is
- 25:07Speaker 1: a big, big, big man that was on some great
- 25:11Speaker 1: Alabama teams. And he literally just went and choked up. Yeah,
- 25:18Speaker 1: all right, is John Hannah on there? Yeah? Okay, all right,
- 25:21Speaker 1: we already went through Larnce Taylor, all right? Was Dan
- 25:25Speaker 1: Marina he had Yeah you would have to believe, but
- 25:31Speaker 1: he didn't win a Super Bowl? Come on, come on,
- 25:36Speaker 1: no good? Right? A ring right, no hardware, man, come on, man,
- 25:44Speaker 1: l Way, l Way, first ballot. I wonder what the
- 25:47Speaker 1: ratio is quarterbacks is first ballot? Oh, it's it's significant. Okay,
- 25:52Speaker 1: it is big time. Yeah, but let me ask somebody
- 25:54Speaker 1: like uh that that that came up short, like Jim Kelly.
- 25:59Speaker 1: That was literally about till you give me two guys,
- 26:01Speaker 1: Jim Kelly and Franz Harkinson. Kelly's there, okay, mikeel Franz there.
- 26:06Speaker 1: He played at Georgia and with the Minnesota Vikings they
- 26:08Speaker 1: lost four Super Bowls. He's still a great player. Yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 1: But Bud Grant, the Minnesota Vikings went to four Super
- 26:15Speaker 1: Bowls kind of like the Bills, not kind of like
- 26:18Speaker 1: the Bills, and they didn't win it. Friend's not there, okay, okay,
- 26:24Speaker 1: all right, that makes sense. Jerry Rice, Yeah, yeah, here's there,
- 26:29Speaker 1: Jerry Rice. And Dan Fouts is there. Huh. Dan Fouts,
- 26:35Speaker 1: great player in there. We've had him on the Shriff's ballot.
- 26:38Speaker 1: We need to call him. Yeah, maybe not right now
- 26:42Speaker 1: because toob thirty seven in Oregon, but we need to
- 26:47Speaker 1: have him. He lives on the other side of the
- 26:50Speaker 1: mountain from bar two. That's how he described it. To
- 26:52Speaker 1: us the last time we had him on, But we
- 26:54Speaker 1: need to have him on. Dan Fouts first ballot, Hall
- 26:58Speaker 1: of Famer, no super Bowl great player, better than many
- 27:02Speaker 1: who won have won. Okay, I mean in your recent
- 27:08Speaker 1: history obviously got fits, Julius Pepper's, Joe Thomas. Okay, it
- 27:14Speaker 1: was phenomenal. Yeah, Darryl Revis, Charles Woodson, Darryl Revis and
- 27:20Speaker 1: Charle I get, Charles Woodson, I get, Yeah, Yeah, Peyton's there, lockdown.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Calvin Johnson, Oh no, no doubt. I don't know how
- 27:32Speaker 1: he stayed in Detroit. But anyway, look what happened to
- 27:35Speaker 1: Matthew Stafford. He leaves Detroit and he wins one. Isn't
- 27:38Speaker 1: that amazing? Crazy? When you have alignment in your franchise,
- 27:41Speaker 1: you can win. And Stafford's better than prior to and
- 27:46Speaker 1: still better than who knows how many that have won
- 27:49Speaker 1: it or won more than one. He's incredible. But I
- 27:53Speaker 1: mean he was in Detroit for a chunk all long time,
- 27:57Speaker 1: Ed Reed great player, the you baby Goobably, those Ravens
- 28:02Speaker 1: defenses were nasty. Yes, When we had Trent Dilfer on
- 28:06Speaker 1: last year, and Dilfer was talking about what was interesting
- 28:11Speaker 1: about Dilfer. He was like, you know, I know I
- 28:13Speaker 1: wasn't a great quarterback, but I won a Super Bowl.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I get it. Man. I didn't have to carry the
- 28:18Speaker 1: you know, the bags and the doctor Pepper and parked
- 28:20Speaker 1: cars and and everything else like some of these, like
- 28:23Speaker 1: some of these guys. Man, those Ravens, I say, you
- 28:25Speaker 1: don't have any first ballot Hall of Fames were on
- 28:27Speaker 1: that Ravens team you got, I mean Ray Lewis and
- 28:30Speaker 1: and Lewis and then you're also don't forget about Jonathan Ogden.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Oh man, what a player. I mean he was all
- 28:36Speaker 1: I mean that was he was like the left tackle
- 28:38Speaker 1: during that time. Wow. Wow, can you believe Joe Thomas
- 28:42Speaker 1: played for the Browns the whole time? Time? Damn Nations?
- 28:46Speaker 1: Uh we are the out of Bounds Show. The Dancing

- 30:24Speaker 1: I mean, let's see, I have his number. I talked
- 30:30Speaker 1: to him. I think we may have had him on
- 30:32Speaker 1: but I remember calling him. I don't think I'm gonna
- 30:34Speaker 1: call him right now, but because he's probably pretty snug
- 30:39Speaker 1: in whatever hotel you stay at in Canton, Ohio. Preston,
- 30:43Speaker 1: Mississippi Boom. He played at Nebraska under Tom Osborne before
- 30:50Speaker 1: playing under Bill Walsh with the forty nine ers. It
- 30:53Speaker 1: was his was did he spend his whole career with
- 30:57Speaker 1: the forty nine ers? Of course? I mean, I mean
- 31:02Speaker 1: outside of the last two you know, straggle years, Okay,
- 31:05Speaker 1: I mean he had played for Vegas for one year,
- 31:07Speaker 1: in Minnesota for maybe one or two Okay, got it.
- 31:10Speaker 1: He's a forty nine er. Yeah, he's a forty nine
- 31:12Speaker 1: of course that was most of that was pre free agency.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I forget about that. Guy's not hopping around as much.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Adrian Peterson ap all day, okay, all the ap of course,
- 31:23Speaker 1: World Campbell of course. Okay, uh oh, I got one
- 31:27Speaker 1: first bout Halt was was way Peterson's on there is
- 31:31Speaker 1: that because of the stuff he got into spanking the
- 31:33Speaker 1: kid or spaking his chot his son. Do you think so?
- 31:38Speaker 1: So he's in I mean when when did when did
- 31:40Speaker 1: he play his last down in football? I don't know.
- 31:42Speaker 1: It's a five year window. I think he I don't
- 31:45Speaker 1: know if he's eligible. Well, you'll have to check that
- 31:47Speaker 1: for me, because it all runs together. He was on
- 31:50Speaker 1: the Seahawks roster in twenty one. I know that's closed.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Oh wow, Okay, I didn't realize that. I didn't either.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I mean, he may not be eligible, okay, because I forgot.
- 31:59Speaker 1: I mean I feel like he is five years post
- 32:03Speaker 1: career less now, yeah, all right. What about Thurman? Thomas Thurman?
- 32:11Speaker 1: Was he a first ballot Hall of Famer? Of course? Okay, No, No,
- 32:18Speaker 1: one year. He stayed on the bout for one year.
- 32:20Speaker 1: He stayed on the ballot for one year. All right.
- 32:22Speaker 1: What about Bruce Smith? Bruce number seventy eight for the
- 32:27Speaker 1: Buffalo Bills. He's uh. I think he played at Virginia Tech.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Believe it or not. This was way before Beamer took
- 32:34Speaker 1: over and made them a winner. Good lord, he was
- 32:38Speaker 1: a first ballot Hall of Famer. Okay, Bruce Smith all day? Okay, okay,
- 32:45Speaker 1: what about it's literally legends, It's just it's it's the legend.
- 32:54Speaker 1: If you had to write out, give me some old
- 32:56Speaker 1: give me some quarterbacks in the uh like Johnny United,
- 33:00Speaker 1: So Johnny Yu. All right, we'll go back there then
- 33:02Speaker 1: let's see. Yeah, Colts high Tops. Bobby Lane was the
- 33:06Speaker 1: first ever. Okay, I know of him, Okay, all right,
- 33:10Speaker 1: he was the first ever. I wonder if that was
- 33:12Speaker 1: like that first year of there's a good shot, Bart Starr.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Obviously he played at Bama. Yes, okay, Johnny Hughes up there.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Sure he played at Louisville, did he? Yeah, he's jobel.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I read the book on Unit. It's like twenty years ago.
- 33:29Speaker 1: It was really wild everything that that played out there.
- 33:34Speaker 1: George Blanda, Yeah, I don't remember him, like I didn't
- 33:38Speaker 1: watch him live, but I heard about him my whole life.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Roger Slowest start stallback. Okay, he's up there, went to Navy,
- 33:45Speaker 1: he did Terry brad and served, Yeah, Bradshaw, oh served, Yeah.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I think it was four years dang yeah, Fouts yeah, okay, obviously, Yeah,
- 33:59Speaker 1: Jim Kelly's in there, and then you get your run
- 34:02Speaker 1: of l Way Marino, Young Moon Okay, okay, So warn
- 34:06Speaker 1: Moon was he first bout Hall of Fame. Good for him,
- 34:08Speaker 1: he should. He's probably the most underrated quarterback in the
- 34:11Speaker 1: history of pro football. Yeah, so warn Moon was first
- 34:15Speaker 1: bout Hall of Fame. Yes, okay, and his legend score
- 34:19Speaker 1: was great great player. No, he was even better than that. Yeah,
- 34:24Speaker 1: he's great, great, great, great great player floated in right
- 34:26Speaker 1: after that, Okay, Troy, Yeah, going to drought after that
- 34:31Speaker 1: with quarterbacks. Then you don't you got some some favorite guy,
- 34:36Speaker 1: Bob Ray Okay, Brett Farv. First ballot Hall of Famer
- 34:41Speaker 1: was sweetness Walter Payton, Oh yeah, of course, all right,
- 34:49Speaker 1: he left us way too early. So was Jerry. It
- 34:55Speaker 1: was was Walter Peyton, the first first ballot Hall of
- 35:01Speaker 1: Famer from the state of Mississippi, because Jerry was after him. Okay,
- 35:06Speaker 1: Jerry played you know longer, is not longer? Uh, Walter
- 35:11Speaker 1: was older? Okay, that they overlapped obviously in the eighties.
- 35:14Speaker 1: But is Walter from Columbia, Mississippi played at Jackson State.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Of course. Then you got Jackie Slater. What did Jackie
- 35:22Speaker 1: go in before Walter did? Well? First of all, was
- 35:24Speaker 1: Jackie a first ballot Hall of Famer?
- 35:25Speaker 2: He was?
- 35:26Speaker 1: Okay, yes, he was. He was in after Walter really
- 35:31Speaker 1: eight years after. Damn how that turned out. That's interesting. Okay,
- 35:38Speaker 1: there's a there's there's gotta be one more, is it?
- 35:42Speaker 1: I think there is one more? I'm gonna find it.
- 35:44Speaker 1: I think it's one of the ones that didn't really, So,
- 35:46Speaker 1: what year did Walter Peyton go in? Ninety eight? Ninety eight?
- 35:52Speaker 1: What year did Jackie Slater go in? Sorry, ninety three
- 35:56Speaker 1: Jackie Slater went in and won. Okay, so Peyton went
- 36:04Speaker 1: in in ninety three, yes, okay, So we think he's
- 36:11Speaker 1: the first first ballot Hall of Famer from the state
- 36:14Speaker 1: of Mississippi. Yeah, but we're not positive. Well, I mean,
- 36:18Speaker 1: didn't you we just mentioned one of them that was
- 36:20Speaker 1: from Preston. Oh yeah, I mean you're gonna have one off, right,
- 36:25Speaker 1: Like there's gonna be someone who's got Okay, so you're
- 36:27Speaker 1: telling me that that evidently Roger Craiglibb was born here. Yes, okay,
- 36:32Speaker 1: obviously not gonna be the first one, but yeah, yeah,
- 36:34Speaker 1: but yeah, because he's getting inducted in twenty twenty six,
- 36:36Speaker 1: I'm talking about the first one to go in sweetness. Yeah, okay,
- 36:42Speaker 1: all right, that's pretty cool, man, I mean I love this,
- 36:45Speaker 1: uh walk down memory Lane. Only seventy six, only seventy
- 36:50Speaker 1: six first ballot Hall of Famer in a lot Okay,
- 36:54Speaker 1: Dexter says, Lim Barney first HBCU, Lim Barney maybe was
- 37:02Speaker 1: the first first Well he may not have been a
- 37:05Speaker 1: He may be in the Hall of Fame, but I
- 37:07Speaker 1: don't know if he was a first ballot. Okay, we'll
- 37:09Speaker 1: check that out too. On what now, Oh are we
- 37:15Speaker 1: missing Lim Barney the Jackson State? Uh, you know, yeah,
- 37:23Speaker 1: from the sixties. Okay, he may have been, but I
- 37:25Speaker 1: don't think he was first ballot. Okay, Well that's what
- 37:27Speaker 1: we're that's what we're looking at, first ballot, not just
- 37:30Speaker 1: Hall of famers, the first first ballot Hall of Famer
- 37:34Speaker 1: from the great state of Mississippi and a hell of
- 37:37Speaker 1: a grid iron state, that's for sure. Yeah, I can't
- 37:45Speaker 1: tell if he's first ballot or not. I'm trying to
- 37:47Speaker 1: make sure of it. Well, well, well we'll switch gears
- 37:51Speaker 1: out of bounds ESPN one oh five nine the Zone.
- 37:54Speaker 1: We're brought to you by Pearl River Resort and uh
- 37:57Speaker 1: Philip M. Steakhouse, fabulous ribby the Saffron Chowder. The wine
- 38:01Speaker 1: list is excellent. Their bourbon selection is incredible, including Elijah Craig.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Several different options with Elijah Crag Dancing Rabbit goolf dot
- 38:11Speaker 1: Com to book your stay and play for football season.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Dancing rabbit goolf dot Com. Uh, okay, so let's go.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I feel like we get these all the time, but
- 38:26Speaker 1: it's on the prep. I feel like we just did
- 38:29Speaker 1: this a month ago, but maybe it was framed up
- 38:31Speaker 1: a different way. Best fast food burgers in America. Oh,
- 38:35Speaker 1: in a Burger, Yeah, okay, we did something similar. Okay, yeah.
- 38:39Speaker 1: The double char from Habit Burger and Grill. I don't know.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I can't call it. I'll give them credence. Okay, all right?
- 38:51Speaker 1: The double double from In and Out? Have you ever
- 38:55Speaker 1: eaten and Out? I'm driven by him, I think out
- 39:00Speaker 1: in the out, I don't. I don't. I don't think
- 39:02Speaker 1: I went so, I don't think so. The original double
- 39:07Speaker 1: from Freddy's. I've been to Freddie's Burger. There's there's one
- 39:11Speaker 1: right there on the mobile exit when you're going to
- 39:15Speaker 1: Orange Beach Destined or thirty A. We went in a
- 39:17Speaker 1: couple of years ago. Not went in. We went through
- 39:20Speaker 1: the drive through. The Papa Burger from A and W.
- 39:24Speaker 1: It's must be another franchise in a different region now.
- 39:28Speaker 1: A and W is a root beer you can you
- 39:30Speaker 1: can put some vanilla ice cream in there and make
- 39:32Speaker 1: you a root beer float. Yeah, which vanilla ice cream rocks,
- 39:37Speaker 1: especially super high quality. Hey, the butter burger cheese double
- 39:43Speaker 1: from Culver's. Have you had one of those? I don't
- 39:45Speaker 1: know what the Culvers is. Okay. The smoke shack from
- 39:51Speaker 1: Shake Shack. I haven't had that either. Sound familiar, all right?
- 39:55Speaker 1: The cheeseburger from Five Guys I've had. I've had those
- 40:00Speaker 1: most of the time in the Atlanta Airport when I'm starving.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I walked by one Thursday and Sunday. Y'all know the
- 40:08Speaker 1: terminal that they all stick us in. It's the same one.
- 40:11Speaker 1: The whopper from Burger King. It's got to be up there. No,
- 40:15Speaker 1: it actually doesn't. The Son of Baconator from Wendy's. Yeah, look, yeah,
- 40:23Speaker 1: I mean that's a legendary burger. The Son of a Baconator. Yeah,
- 40:28Speaker 1: it kind of reminds me of Jimmy Buffett, son of
- 40:29Speaker 1: a Son of a Sailor anyway. And then the last
- 40:32Speaker 1: one is the double meat What a Burger from What
- 40:33Speaker 1: a Burger? So that this is from the New York Post.
- 40:37Speaker 1: They may not know what in the hell they're talking about,
- 40:38Speaker 1: but I just gave you the list. The Son of
- 40:40Speaker 1: a Baconator was really good. It is really good. Oh yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 40:47Speaker 1: So I guess my favorite on this list would be
- 40:50Speaker 1: the because they don't have Dairy Queen on here, so
- 40:52Speaker 1: my favorite on this list would be the original double
- 40:56Speaker 1: from Freddy's Freddy's. Yeah, there's now one out on Letland Drive. Freddy's. Yep,
- 41:03Speaker 1: there is. I went. I was going to startbull within
- 41:07Speaker 1: the last couple of months, and I had to stop
- 41:10Speaker 1: by Rick's pro truck or sign. I remember who I
- 41:12Speaker 1: was going to see on the way out, and I
- 41:15Speaker 1: was starving, and it was about one o'clock and I
- 41:19Speaker 1: went meat, cheese and pickles, and it was heaven. Usually
- 41:22Speaker 1: I go to the dairy Queen on the other side
- 41:24Speaker 1: of the road, but for some reason, I was coming
- 41:25Speaker 1: in through the back. I don't remember queen. Maybe I
- 41:29Speaker 1: had been to Mudbugs. Yeah, so there's one out there.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I do recall that now, Yeah, yeah, never been. It
- 41:38Speaker 1: wasn't there when I was out there holding it down. No, no, No,
- 41:41Speaker 1: this is in the last year or so. They popped
- 41:43Speaker 1: up like six of them all in a row. There.
- 41:46Speaker 1: They've got something called a Small's. Yeah, it's like a
- 41:49Speaker 1: sliter place. Yes, they've got Huey Magoose which your good
- 41:53Speaker 1: Chicken strip. They've got Freddy's, and then they have a
- 41:58Speaker 1: couple others that I'm if I said them, you would know,
- 42:00Speaker 1: but I can't remember. Who do they think they are? Well?
- 42:03Speaker 1: Angles is out there there? So bo Jangles is out
- 42:06Speaker 1: That was one of them, and then there's one maybe
- 42:08Speaker 1: one or two more small slide what's going on out there?
- 42:12Speaker 1: I don't know. They don't know what they're doing like that?
- 42:14Speaker 1: Why not they do? I wonder if some group just
