- 0:02Speaker 1: Show.
- 0:04Speaker 2: There's many ways to be a part of things, and
- 0:08Speaker 2: however you choose to do that is great. It could
- 0:12Speaker 2: be as simple as just following us on social media
- 0:14Speaker 2: so you always know things that are happening, subscribing to
- 0:18Speaker 2: the podcast, not just listening to the podcast, but you know,
- 0:20Speaker 2: subscribe that help subscribe it to the different channels like
- 0:23Speaker 2: on YouTube and things like that, our YouTube channel, that everything. Yeah,
- 0:27Speaker 2: that that benefits because man, it changes all the time,
- 0:31Speaker 2: and you know, you could post things and for whatever reason,
- 0:36Speaker 2: if you're not giving them money, things just don't show up.
- 0:40Speaker 2: So I'm not a notifications guy though either. Yeah, I
- 0:43Speaker 2: don't think I have. Do you guys have notifications set
- 0:46Speaker 2: for anything? Maybe just flights? But I actually that's different.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I'm talking about emails, text messages. Someone comments on your
- 0:54Speaker 2: social media post.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I have everything turned off. It's just too much.
- 0:58Speaker 4: I mean text messages.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Yes, well that is the notification. The text is the notification.
- 1:03Speaker 2: True, No, that's that's true.
- 1:04Speaker 5: But everything else Now.
- 1:06Speaker 6: I set up my phone to finally only take texts
- 1:09Speaker 6: from people in my context, and it changed my life
- 1:12Speaker 6: for the best.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Is that great?
- 1:13Speaker 6: Love it?
- 1:14Speaker 5: What about when doctors try to like send you a
- 1:16Speaker 5: well then you'll still.
- 1:17Speaker 6: See when you open your text message.
- 1:19Speaker 2: It just doesn't give you the notification.
- 1:21Speaker 5: Oh it's not blocking it.
- 1:22Speaker 6: No, no, but there's little three lines teach me. Yeah,
- 1:26Speaker 6: and then you have three folders. Well you have messages,
- 1:30Speaker 6: unknown senders, and then spam.
- 1:32Speaker 2: That's great.
- 1:33Speaker 3: It's the best life changing life change.
- 1:36Speaker 2: If you're listening to the podcast and you have something
- 1:38Speaker 2: you like to share, story that you know, whatever the
- 1:40Speaker 2: topic's going on, or just something in general, you see it,
- 1:43Speaker 2: you want to tell us about it. The after hours
- 1:44Speaker 2: voicemail is always good too. During the show, same number
- 1:47Speaker 2: eight seven seven. After the show just becomes the the
- 1:50Speaker 2: after hours voicemail and you can leave us whatever you
- 1:53Speaker 2: got there. Here's just a fun one, like this person
- 1:56Speaker 2: just wanted to give us their Greg Gory impression.
- 1:58Speaker 6: All right, here we go.
- 1:59Speaker 7: Hi, Yeah, this is Craig Gory and uh, I'm currently
- 2:03Speaker 7: on my way to the golf course and I just
- 2:05Speaker 7: wanted to say what the show is amazing?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Do you guys remember when you would talk about any
- 2:10Speaker 7: type of food ever, like green beans or hot dogs
- 2:13Speaker 7: are so good? Oh yeah, yeah, so good.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It's Stevie wonder good.
- 2:27Speaker 5: That was good.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I didn't hear.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I didn't see that coming at all.
- 2:29Speaker 2: That way show where he was going.
- 2:31Speaker 3: That was pretty accurate. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's so funny.
- 2:39Speaker 2: You know you used the kiosk. I was at a
- 2:41Speaker 2: shake Shack and I was a mess. Yeah, you got
- 2:43Speaker 2: to put your name in for the order. I put
- 2:45Speaker 2: in Greg Gory, hoping hoping that they would call. Had
- 2:48Speaker 2: a screen there. I said orders ready for pick up,
- 2:51Speaker 2: and it just it just came.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Up Greg g I'm like, oh god, yeah, but I
- 2:57Speaker 3: didn't know he did that, and he pointed out Craig g.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I was like, wait what.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Oh my god, Greg gorys here shout out to shake Shack.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Had never tried their breakfast before breakfast there is good.
- 3:12Speaker 2: They have breakfast, yeah, Medis and I did you have?
- 3:15Speaker 2: I had a like a sausage egg and cheese, but
- 3:17Speaker 2: it's like a freshly fried egg, so to I got
- 3:21Speaker 2: the double egg with the sausage patty on its own
- 3:25Speaker 2: in a vehicle, but it's on like the same like
- 3:28Speaker 2: potato bun they get before the burgers.
- 3:32Speaker 8: So it was the egg like runny because it's freshly.
- 3:35Speaker 5: No, it wasn't like circle fried.
- 3:38Speaker 2: No, because they weren't like formed you know, you could
- 3:42Speaker 2: tell they actually things up.
- 3:44Speaker 3: You know, it was good, the same thing, really good.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I didn't realize that breakfast when we mean neither this
- 3:50Speaker 3: was an.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Airport location, but the breakfast is really good.
- 3:53Speaker 6: That sounds.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Speaking of getting food, there's another after hours voicemail.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah, So I was listening about the Chipotle and the
- 4:03Speaker 1: portion sizes and the CEO saying that you can ask
- 4:07Speaker 1: for more if you want more.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Wouldn't it be.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Better for them to say, if you ate your food
- 4:13Speaker 1: and you're still hungry, come get more, other than people
- 4:16Speaker 1: taking a ton of food and then taking it home
- 4:18Speaker 1: and having two three meals off it.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Yeah, that's all I got, I think.
- 4:23Speaker 6: I mean, no, I'd rather have a business standpoint.
- 4:25Speaker 2: No, I'd rather have the food to bring home.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Yeah. And also you'll just like dump it on someone
- 4:31Speaker 5: else's plate, like there's always ways to get around this crap.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd rather I'd rather do that, like have extra food,
- 4:37Speaker 2: you know, get two meals because it's just the portion's
- 4:40Speaker 2: just so big. So would say, like you can go
- 4:44Speaker 2: to Panda Express and get it. That is fraction, you know,
- 4:50Speaker 2: would stove to death.
- 4:52Speaker 1: It's true.
- 4:52Speaker 6: Everybody who tucks in grease.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And then you get to the cash register and it's
- 4:55Speaker 2: a billion dollars.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Exactly accurate. But if you're one of those people that
- 5:00Speaker 6: complains about big portions, yeah, go to another country and yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, walk on that. I hate when not just die.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Go to another country and call them American sized portion.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Just get go to another country and dust, starve to death. Yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 2: bring it home. Here's another one from the Yeah, bitch.
- 5:28Speaker 6: Bring it home. Bitch, get two meals for one bit.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Bitch got so much for my money.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I hate it, leave and die. We were talking about
- 5:42Speaker 2: crazy exes, crazy girlfriends claiming things like we're talking about
- 5:47Speaker 2: but Laura Owens, has there been any update on you
- 5:51Speaker 2: learn any more about the case?
- 5:53Speaker 5: She's she's awaiting another trial.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah, everywhere I know, but like the trial, yes, and
- 5:59Speaker 2: what happens there saying, but any more details of the
- 6:01Speaker 2: case that you've become aware of.
- 6:02Speaker 5: No, there hasn't been any new episodes. Yeah, I'm obsessed
- 6:06Speaker 5: with her.
- 6:07Speaker 6: She's facing prison time, right, Yeah.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, So remind everybody quickly what that caset all about.
- 6:11Speaker 5: She's the daughter of a famous like radio talk show
- 6:15Speaker 5: host in the Bay and she was going around dating
- 6:18Speaker 5: guys and then getting fake pregnant by them and then
- 6:21Speaker 5: basically trying to extort them and saying, but maybe if
- 6:23Speaker 5: you just date me I for another couple of weeks,
- 6:25Speaker 5: I'll get an abortion. And they're like, get away from you, crazy,
- 6:27Speaker 5: and she's like that now it's a problem. And then
- 6:30Speaker 5: it became famous when she did it to one of
- 6:31Speaker 5: the bachelor's uh eckered, I think right, And now it's
- 6:36Speaker 5: like all these guys are coming out of the woodwork
- 6:38Speaker 5: being like she did that to me.
- 6:39Speaker 6: And she went so far as to falsify documents, fake doctors, letters,
- 6:44Speaker 6: fake so.
- 6:44Speaker 5: You know, a fiver where you can just go on
- 6:46Speaker 5: and have someone like and she was like getting like
- 6:49Speaker 5: sonograms and like putting little babies in it.
- 6:51Speaker 2: So we were we were talking about you know, crazy.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I talked about that that crazy ex girlfriend that I, well,
- 6:56Speaker 2: you guys brought her up that I had that made
- 6:59Speaker 2: up all kinds of including telling me how her sister died.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Sister got killed by a drunk driver who had just
- 7:04Speaker 2: gotten back from being deployed, and then she got cancer.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, none of that ended up being being traded.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Left this after hours voicemail about a crazy girlfriend with.
- 7:17Speaker 9: The show big Fans. I'll listening to the podcast and
- 7:21Speaker 9: you guys are talking about crazy girlfriends, like the one
- 7:23Speaker 9: that you said claiming that she had cancer and all
- 7:26Speaker 9: that stuff. Well, I did a chick when I was
- 7:28Speaker 9: like nineteen years old, and I couldn't come over to
- 7:31Speaker 9: her house one time because I was working, And I
- 7:34Speaker 9: told her I can't go over because I had of work.
- 7:36Speaker 9: So she told me that she took all kinds of
- 7:40Speaker 9: pills and had her stomach pumped. And then she told
- 7:43Speaker 9: me that when they punk her stomach that she was
- 7:46Speaker 9: pregnant and she lost the baby because they had a
- 7:48Speaker 9: pumper stomach.
- 7:50Speaker 6: That's how it was.
- 7:51Speaker 9: So me freaking out. I apologized to her and I
- 7:54Speaker 9: told her mom and dad like, I I'm sorry that
- 7:57Speaker 9: she took all those pills. I had to get her
- 7:59Speaker 9: stomach pump and go to the hospital. Her mom and
- 8:02Speaker 9: dad were confused because they're like, what are you talking about?
- 8:05Speaker 9: That never happened. I was like, what, Like, she didn't
- 8:08Speaker 9: take up kinds of pills and have her swimming pump
- 8:11Speaker 9: in the hospital and lose the baby. They're like no,
- 8:15Speaker 9: that like she stayed home all day and did nothing.
- 8:19Speaker 9: So yeah, that was my crazy story. About having a
- 8:21Speaker 9: crazy girlfriend, and yeah, when she told me that I've
- 8:24Speaker 9: done the right way, and yeah, I don't know what
- 8:27Speaker 9: happened to her life, but whatever feet out.
- 8:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I always hate it when people say, yeah, the
- 8:38Speaker 6: baby's in the mom most belly. No, then she would
- 8:41Speaker 6: digest it, digest it or have she got really sick,
- 8:45Speaker 6: she'd puke it up.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, with that last.
- 8:48Speaker 6: Meal, she Mama's billy. No, it's not.
- 8:51Speaker 2: What's the craziest thing, you know? Uh, Gina with a guy,
- 8:56Speaker 2: maybe maybe as like a younger as a younger lady minded.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I think I can see.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I can see.
- 9:03Speaker 2: I could see Morgan trying to trap an older dude
- 9:06Speaker 2: like one of these daddies that she wants. I love them,
- 9:09Speaker 2: I could I could see, I'm saying, you have I
- 9:13Speaker 2: could see based on your your fun personality, I could
- 9:17Speaker 2: see there could be a time where you might try
- 9:20Speaker 2: to do something you know where uh maybe not loting
- 9:23Speaker 2: about a pregnancy.
- 9:25Speaker 4: I would never know, Like I.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Cut you out of my life.
- 9:27Speaker 5: And yeah, I don't think we're schemers, but I do
- 9:30Speaker 5: have one. When I was in New York and I
- 9:33Speaker 5: was dating somebody, we got in this big fight in
- 9:36Speaker 5: our apartment because we were living together at the time,
- 9:38Speaker 5: and he walked out and that was like, I freaked out.
- 9:42Speaker 2: He walked out of.
- 9:43Speaker 5: The apartment in the middle of an argument. So a
- 9:46Speaker 5: twenty I don't know two year old Gina decided to
- 9:50Speaker 5: take all of her clothes off and run into the hallway.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And I start and have you ever noticed that a
- 9:57Speaker 2: lot of her stories are about her getting new like.
- 10:00Speaker 6: The room and they're playing guitar, like, and then she
- 10:03Speaker 6: did dude plays or modeling.
- 10:06Speaker 2: For the like the art students to draw and it's clean.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Yeah, And so she's like, what are you doing?
- 10:11Speaker 3: Go back?
- 10:12Speaker 5: And I was like, I'm staying out here naked it.
- 10:15Speaker 5: So that's what I first to go back exactly.
- 10:18Speaker 6: Oh so that was to get because he was.
- 10:20Speaker 5: So humiliated that I was naked in the hallway of
- 10:23Speaker 5: an apartment building and.
- 10:25Speaker 6: He stayed with stuff.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Sam has like been there and done that. That's like
- 10:30Speaker 2: a Tuesday And that.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Was a split second decision. Here's what I'm going to do,
- 10:34Speaker 6: I don't know, follow him out. Oh my god, I think.
- 10:40Speaker 5: I was crying too, so like I really, yeah, I put.
- 10:42Speaker 2: On the tears are always guy.
- 10:45Speaker 5: The guy was like gool bricking.
- 10:46Speaker 4: I was like, I'm not going anywhere.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So you never never did anything crazy like that or
- 10:51Speaker 2: I didn't know, but I did not nude.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Now, but I've cheated on guys and they've done crazy
- 10:55Speaker 4: things to me. But it was warranted because I cheated.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Not get into that.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I deserved it.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I can't think of anything.
- 11:05Speaker 8: I mean, even that I've been divorced, and I can't
- 11:07Speaker 8: think of anything that crazy.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Sometimes when you were a teenager, because you were a
- 11:11Speaker 2: bitchy cheerleader, mean girl, you know, as we've all heard,
- 11:16Speaker 2: you know, like you weren't like certain people.
- 11:18Speaker 8: I could have been nicer too, yes, but I don't
- 11:21Speaker 8: think I was like super mean yirl all around the school.
- 11:23Speaker 2: That's not what we've heard a lot.
- 11:27Speaker 5: I had this dude I didn't even want to date,
- 11:29Speaker 5: and he I don't know why. I think he just
- 11:31Speaker 5: flattered me a lot and he wouldn't go away. So
- 11:33Speaker 5: we kind of started dating and he kept saying I
- 11:36Speaker 5: love you and I was not interested. And then I think,
- 11:39Speaker 5: to this day, I think he faked some sort of
- 11:41Speaker 5: like appendicitis and made me take him to the hospital.
- 11:45Speaker 5: I didn't even know him that well, and when I
- 11:47Speaker 5: took him and they admitted him. I said, like, I've
- 11:50Speaker 5: never taken anyone to the hospital before. This was actually
- 11:53Speaker 5: not and this was when I lived here, and I go,
- 11:56Speaker 5: I've never taken anyone in the hospital before. He goes, well,
- 11:58Speaker 5: now you've taken a boyfriend to the hospital.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Oh that's weird. Dudes do crazy things. I'm not saying. Still,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I want to state for the record, I'm not just
- 12:08Speaker 2: saying that. You know, you ladies are the ones who
- 12:09Speaker 2: are always nuts.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Not women.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Know, there are some dudes that do some really crazy stuff,
- 12:14Speaker 2: like to get you know this, they do something really
- 12:17Speaker 2: wild and like, oh, well, she'll definitely take you back now.
- 12:20Speaker 2: They do it in an effort for the person to
- 12:23Speaker 2: realize what a mistake they made.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yeah, sympathy stuff.
- 12:26Speaker 8: I do remember the time that I got into a
- 12:30Speaker 8: bar fight in Mexico and got kicked out of the club.
- 12:32Speaker 4: But I forgot about that.
- 12:35Speaker 8: But that was with the girl that he started dating
- 12:38Speaker 8: right after me.
- 12:39Speaker 3: So I got her fault, I did.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Yeah, So yeah that happened.
- 12:49Speaker 5: So what he had broken up with me and I
- 12:51Speaker 5: was devastated.
- 12:52Speaker 8: We were together for a couple of years, and then
- 12:54Speaker 8: I found out on our senior trip down to Mexico
- 12:57Speaker 8: that they were dating, and I got super pissed.
- 13:00Speaker 4: So now we're all.
- 13:01Speaker 8: Drunk in Mexico and we went out that night to
- 13:05Speaker 8: one of the clubs. There was a ton of us there,
- 13:08Speaker 8: and I.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Went up to her.
- 13:12Speaker 8: They were both at the bar together, and I started
- 13:14Speaker 8: calling her like an effing slut, and all of a sudden.
- 13:20Speaker 4: And rage, I threw my drink on.
- 13:33Speaker 8: Her and doing her drink on me, and then I
- 13:37Speaker 8: slapped her across the face and then she went to
- 13:40Speaker 8: hit me, but I grabbed her arm with my right hand,
- 13:42Speaker 8: and I was about to pummel her. I mean I
- 13:45Speaker 8: was launching myself forward. I mean, I guess.
- 13:52Speaker 3: In Mexico too, so yeah.
- 13:54Speaker 8: So as I was leaning forward onto her, I felt
- 13:57Speaker 8: security pull me back. So yeah, so then security grabbed
- 14:02Speaker 8: me took me outside, and then I explained to security
- 14:06Speaker 8: like yeah, us, yeah, exactly.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Now, I think you need all the facts before kicking money.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I remember that the old Luntunes cartoons where it was
- 14:16Speaker 2: like the the little chicken always thought he was a
- 14:18Speaker 2: big badass, and like you would always be held down
- 14:21Speaker 2: like one finger like an arms language. That's why I'm
- 14:24Speaker 2: picturing salmon.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Also, uh am I the only person who had parents
- 14:30Speaker 2: who would have never allowed a senior trip to Mexico.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Yeah, not a million years way.
- 14:35Speaker 2: I don't think they would have allowed a senior trip
- 14:37Speaker 2: across town.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Probably not.
- 14:39Speaker 8: So this trip it was called it was they were known.
- 14:43Speaker 4: It was called SWAT.
- 14:44Speaker 8: It was summer winter activity trips, and it wasn't smart.
- 14:48Speaker 4: I don't think it exists anymore.
- 14:50Speaker 8: But they like scanned the system kind of like it
- 14:53Speaker 8: was everybody at your school. There was different people who
- 14:56Speaker 8: were quote quote recruiters and they would get like ten
- 14:59Speaker 8: people signed up and whatever. So they had people at
- 15:01Speaker 8: all different schools recruiting other kids to go on this trip.
- 15:04Speaker 8: And for all the parents, it was like there was
- 15:06Speaker 8: a website and their chaperones on this trip.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Oh they did their job.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Yeah the bar right.
- 15:12Speaker 8: So the chaperones were like twenty one years old for
- 15:14Speaker 8: our senior trip, but they had school buses come to
- 15:17Speaker 8: our school to pick us up when we're heading down
- 15:20Speaker 8: like to Mexico.
- 15:21Speaker 4: And so it all seemed legit. Yeah, and it was not.
- 15:26Speaker 2: It was not at school. Doesn't matter how way it
- 15:30Speaker 2: would have been, Like my parents would have never allowed
- 15:33Speaker 2: me to go on a trip a senior trip to
- 15:36Speaker 2: Mexico about a million you know kids taking spring break
- 15:39Speaker 2: trips to Florida and like that wouldn't have been allowed
- 15:42Speaker 2: to happen. I would have had to have been in
- 15:43Speaker 2: college or yeah for a grown adult, like nope, as
- 15:48Speaker 2: long as I was living at their house. As long
- 15:50Speaker 2: as I was living at their houses, no way, they
- 15:52Speaker 2: would have just been.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Like trip was like six Flags in Disneyland.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the school affiliated one.
- 15:59Speaker 8: Yeah, this was nonschool affiliate and it was after graduation,
- 16:02Speaker 8: so technically college.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I did mention the coolest cereal we were ever allowed
- 16:06Speaker 2: to have in the house was honey nut cheerios. No soda, No.
- 16:12Speaker 6: That was it. No soda, No, not even white bread
- 16:15Speaker 6: in my house. I had to us.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well we got to a break uh
- 16:21Speaker 2: eight anytime after the show, you can leave your message
- 16:24Speaker 2: on the after hours voicemail eight seven seven forty four Woody.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Show.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Well, a couple of dumb lawsuits in the news. Let's see,
- 16:39Speaker 2: we'll start with this one. I'll start. I'll saw with
- 16:42Speaker 2: the one that's I think the I think they're both dumb.
- 16:46Speaker 2: The one I think is least dumb woman to California,
- 16:49Speaker 2: assuing Fashion Nova, claiming that the company violated federal quiet
- 16:54Speaker 2: hour rules by sending her promotional text messages too early
- 16:57Speaker 2: in the morning. She says that she received about eight
- 17:01Speaker 2: marketing texts roughly seven four and seven thirty two am,
- 17:06Speaker 2: which is before the eight o'clock in the morning cut
- 17:09Speaker 2: off under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The lawsuit argue
- 17:15Speaker 2: is that she never gave proper consent to be texted,
- 17:17Speaker 2: and is seeking to represent a larger group of customers
- 17:20Speaker 2: who also received early or late promotional texts over the
- 17:22Speaker 2: past several years.
- 17:24Speaker 6: Let's see, I don't hate that one. Yeah, it's it's
- 17:28Speaker 6: the it's so annoying.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I mean, it's the rules.
- 17:31Speaker 2: There's nothing that says like you have to have your
- 17:34Speaker 2: phone on ring or notifying. Like there's just what Greg
- 17:40Speaker 2: just did. Yeah if Greg was just talking about how
- 17:44Speaker 2: he has his phone set up.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Now it only takes text from people in my contacts.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, if it's not in your con in your contacts,
- 17:51Speaker 2: it won't notify you won't be Yeah, it won't be
- 17:55Speaker 2: until you go into your text that you even see
- 17:56Speaker 2: it sitting there. Yeah, right, Like, oh, when did this come?
- 18:00Speaker 3: Some of these promo emails is just like every other
- 18:03Speaker 3: day with the same company, Like who are reading them
- 18:07Speaker 3: right or opening them?
- 18:08Speaker 6: And then and imagine thinking seven thirties early.
- 18:12Speaker 2: And then this is another super dumb one. This is
- 18:15Speaker 2: a German tourist who won his case against a hotel
- 18:20Speaker 2: in Greece after they didn't have enough sun loungers to
- 18:24Speaker 2: accommodate everybody at the pool.
- 18:26Speaker 5: I mean, that's my dream.
- 18:27Speaker 2: But the man paid eight thousand dollars for an eleven
- 18:31Speaker 2: day trip at a hotel and he tried to get
- 18:34Speaker 2: sun lounger seats with his family on multiple occasions, but
- 18:37Speaker 2: each time they were beat out by other guests who
- 18:39Speaker 2: got there first to him. And there were a lot
- 18:43Speaker 2: of signs around saying, you know, people can't reserve seats
- 18:45Speaker 2: just by leaving the towel on them, but the guy
- 18:47Speaker 2: says those rules were ignored, the hotel staff didn't enforce it,
- 18:52Speaker 2: and at that point the man was fed up and
- 18:54Speaker 2: so he sued the hotel and the judge agreed with him.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Oh he said that the vacation was deemed defective because
- 19:02Speaker 2: the family's needs were repeatedly unmet, and he awarded the
- 19:06Speaker 2: man over one thousand dollars for his pool troubles.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Okay, I mean I'd rather them just get more sun chairs,
- 19:11Speaker 5: But I like it.
- 19:13Speaker 6: I don't really hate either of these lines. Yeah, because
- 19:16Speaker 6: I've been to resource where you have to get up
- 19:18Speaker 6: so damn early just to get a chair. It's fine.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Yeah, And it doesn't sound like a cheap place to
- 19:22Speaker 4: go vacation.
- 19:23Speaker 8: It sounds like they should have enough accommodations with how
- 19:25Speaker 8: much they just paid.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Like they're not required to have a lounge chair. They
- 19:29Speaker 2: don't guarantee you a lounge chair, is point, And I
- 19:32Speaker 2: just assume that.
- 19:33Speaker 6: It's kind of implied, though, is it. Well, you got
- 19:36Speaker 6: a pool, you got lounge chairs, like it's in the photo.
- 19:39Speaker 6: In the resort, you're.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Paying for the amenities.
- 19:42Speaker 6: It's that impossible to get a lounge chair. They see
- 19:44Speaker 6: that to me, like, I don't know if it's so worthy,
- 19:47Speaker 6: but you're.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Not assuming that they have one available for you, that
- 19:50Speaker 2: you know it's not going to be already taken by
- 19:52Speaker 2: the time you get there. It does. That's ridiculous to me,
- 19:55Speaker 2: as thinking about like when they have to put on
- 19:57Speaker 2: a professional driver close course do tent like, but they
- 20:01Speaker 2: have to put that on there could well you didn't.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Are we just supposed to assume that.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Staying I would assume that they would have at least
- 20:09Speaker 3: one lounge chair for.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Me exactly, And like you go to the way in
- 20:12Speaker 6: the morning and they're out of coffee, Well you just
- 20:14Speaker 6: assumed you'd get coffee, Like.
- 20:16Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, every single day of your vacation over eleven days,
- 20:22Speaker 8: and you never got a pool chair.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I mean I've been to resorts where they have like tiers,
- 20:27Speaker 3: like like three tiers of lounge chair where it's like
- 20:31Speaker 3: the ones that are just opened for everybody. Then there's
- 20:33Speaker 3: like the premium one, and then there's the ultra premium one.
- 20:38Speaker 3: But like there should be enough for the free ones
- 20:42Speaker 3: for everybody, for enough people that are staying at the resort.
- 20:45Speaker 2: So that would mean they'd have to have a lounge chair.
- 20:47Speaker 2: So if all rooms were double occupancy, you'd have to
- 20:50Speaker 2: have two lounge chairs sitting around the pool at all times,
- 20:54Speaker 2: just in case you were at full capacity. Yeah, yes,
- 20:57Speaker 2: I would never assume that that would be like I
- 20:59Speaker 2: don't know.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Good point, but I would never go to a resort
- 21:02Speaker 6: assuming that for the entire week I not once got
- 21:05Speaker 6: a chair.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I'm not saying it's not a pain in the ass,
- 21:07Speaker 2: you know, and people don't get down there super early.
- 21:10Speaker 6: You're sticking up for the man so hard.
- 21:12Speaker 3: And I've never been to a resort where the entire
- 21:16Speaker 3: hotels at the pool.
- 21:17Speaker 2: You know what this is. This is in the same
- 21:19Speaker 2: bucket of annoyances of people calling the cops for dumb reasons,
- 21:24Speaker 2: like you could be annoyed by it, but you went.
- 21:26Speaker 2: You filed a lawsuit because you didn't get a lounge chair.
- 21:29Speaker 3: That's a hotel.
- 21:31Speaker 6: It's complain worthy. I don't think it's super.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not.
- 21:34Speaker 2: You'd say, you know what, you guys should have more
- 21:35Speaker 2: lou put it in your survey, a bad review, put
- 21:38Speaker 2: it on trip advisor. Yeah, but you you went to
- 21:41Speaker 2: a lawyer. I got one thousand bucks. One thousand bucks
- 21:44Speaker 2: seems to you paid eight grand for the vacation. They
- 21:46Speaker 2: gave you a thousand bucks. That seems to be more
- 21:47Speaker 2: of a go away.
- 21:48Speaker 5: Yeah, and how much for the lawyer.
- 21:50Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 6: But as far as that texting lawsuit goes, I'm on
- 21:54Speaker 6: her side too. If there's a rule that says you
- 21:56Speaker 6: can't do a promo text before eight am, don't do it.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I also agree that's annoying. So I'm with you that
- 22:01Speaker 2: it is annoying. Yeah, I just don't know if I'm
- 22:04Speaker 2: going through the the whole lawsuit part of it.
- 22:08Speaker 6: She fell on that sword. For everybody else, I would.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Just thank you for doing We all get those texting calls,
- 22:14Speaker 2: but that's why I love those features.
- 22:15Speaker 6: Yeah, oh do it if you haven't done it, And Gina,
- 22:18Speaker 6: I'll teach you how. Thanks if I can remember.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Also, this last reason where they had the tears of
- 22:24Speaker 3: lounge chairs. Oh my god, the price for them. It
- 22:27Speaker 3: was like, just sit It's like seventy five bucks. It's
- 22:29Speaker 3: basically like the same lounge chair, just a different color.
- 22:33Speaker 5: It's like in a club, like you're paying to sit down.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah says it, Yes, Sammy. Just so I started giving
- 22:42Speaker 2: out the phone number. She's holding up. She knows right.
- 22:43Speaker 4: I had it ready.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Sorry, Text over to two two ninety seven, be right back.
