Terry “Buffalo” Ware, the legendary guitarist who shaped the sound of Texas and Oklahoma music for decades, has passed away at 76 after a battle with lung cancer. Known for his work with Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jimmy LaFave, and John Fulbright, Ware’s journey began watching The Beatles on TV in 1964 and took him from college bands to becoming a “Texas Tornado” by 1999.
