- 0:00Speaker 1: Many religions claim to be Christian, using the Bible and
- 0:03Speaker 1: mentioning Jesus, but their teachings secretly distort the truth. If
- 0:08Speaker 1: you don't know how to recognize them, you might unknowingly
- 0:12Speaker 1: be walking down a dangerous path. The Bible warns in
- 0:16Speaker 1: Second Corinthians eleven thirteen to fourteen, for such men are
- 0:20Speaker 1: false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and no wonder for even Satan disguises himself as an
- 0:30Speaker 1: angel of light. In this video, we will uncover seven
- 0:34Speaker 1: religions that appear Christian but are not. Some add new scriptures,
- 0:39Speaker 1: others change who Jesus is, and many twist the Gospel
- 0:43Speaker 1: of Grace into something completely different. You need to know
- 0:46Speaker 1: this because your spiritual life is at stake. Before we start,
- 0:52Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Are you subscribed to this channel.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Many people watch our videos but forget to subscribe, and
- 0:59Speaker 1: that way they miss powerful truths that can strengthen their faith.
- 1:04Speaker 1: So take a second, hit the subscribe button and turn
- 1:08Speaker 1: on notifications because you don't want to be deceived by
- 1:11Speaker 1: false teachings. And now let's get into it. Starting with
- 1:14Speaker 1: the first deceptive religion Mormonism. Mormonism, or the Church of
- 1:20Speaker 1: Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, was founded by Joseph
- 1:24Speaker 1: Smith in eighteen thirty in the United States. At first glance,
- 1:27Speaker 1: Mormons seem like devoted Christians. They talk about Jesus, refer
- 1:32Speaker 1: to the Bible, and emphasize family values. However, their beliefs
- 1:36Speaker 1: stray significantly from Biblical Christianity. One of the biggest red
- 1:41Speaker 1: flags is that they add extra scriptures beyond the Bible.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Mormons consider the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and
- 1:50Speaker 1: the Pearl of Great Price to be just as authoritative
- 1:53Speaker 1: as the Bible, but the Bible warns against this in
- 1:56Speaker 1: Galatians one eight. But even if we, or or an
- 2:00Speaker 1: angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary
- 2:04Speaker 1: to the one we preach to you, let him be accursed.
- 2:07Speaker 1: One of the most shocking Mormon teachings is their view
- 2:12Speaker 1: of God. Unlike Christianity, which teaches that God is eternal,
- 2:16Speaker 1: all powerful, and unchanging, Mormons believe that God was once
- 2:20Speaker 1: a mortal man who progressed to become divine. They also
- 2:25Speaker 1: teach that humans can follow the same path and become
- 2:28Speaker 1: gods of their own worlds. This idea directly contradicts Isaiah
- 2:32Speaker 1: forty three to ten, where God declares before Me, no
- 2:36Speaker 1: God was formed, nor shall there be any after me.
- 2:40Speaker 1: The belief that humans can achieve godhood is a serious
- 2:44Speaker 1: departure from the biblical teaching that God alone is sovereign.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Another major issue is their belief about Jesus and Satan.
- 2:53Speaker 1: In Christianity, Jesus is the eternal son of God, the
- 2:57Speaker 1: second person of the Trinity, and completely unique, but Mormonism
- 3:01Speaker 1: teaches that Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers, both created
- 3:06Speaker 1: by God, and that Lucifer's rebellion led to his fall.
- 3:10Speaker 1: The Bible, however, clearly states that Jesus is not a
- 3:13Speaker 1: created being but God himself. John one One says, in
- 3:19Speaker 1: the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
- 3:23Speaker 1: and the Word was God. Teaching that Jesus and Satan
- 3:27Speaker 1: are brothers diminishes Christ's divine nature and contradicts his supremacy.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Mormons also teach a works based salvation. While they acknowledge
- 3:37Speaker 1: the role of Jesus, they believe that faith alone is
- 3:39Speaker 1: not enough. Instead, they emphasize baptism, temple rituals and even
- 3:44Speaker 1: baptism for the dead as part of the salvation process.
- 3:48Speaker 1: But the Bible teaches that salvation is by grace alone,
- 3:52Speaker 1: through faith alone, in Christ alone, not by human effort.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Ephesians two eight to nine states, for by grace you
- 4:00Speaker 1: have been saved through faith, and this is not your
- 4:03Speaker 1: own doing. It is the gift of God, not a
- 4:05Speaker 1: result of works, so that no one may boast. Any
- 4:09Speaker 1: teaching that adds works to salvation distorts the Gospel. Finally,
- 4:14Speaker 1: Mormonism places great authority in their prophets, particularly Joseph Smith,
- 4:19Speaker 1: whom they regard as God's chosen restorer of the true
- 4:23Speaker 1: a Church. They believe that modern prophets continue to receive
- 4:27Speaker 1: new revelations even if they contradict the Bible. However, the
- 4:31Speaker 1: Bible states that God's word is final and should not
- 4:35Speaker 1: be altered. Revelation twenty two eighteen to nineteen warns against
- 4:40Speaker 1: adding to or taking away from scripture. The existence of
- 4:44Speaker 1: new revelations outside of the Bible leads to dangerous doctrines
- 4:48Speaker 1: that deviate from the truth of the Gospel. These are
- 4:51Speaker 1: just a few reasons why Mormonism, despite its Christian appearance,
- 4:56Speaker 1: teaches a different gospel, and as the apostle Paul Warre
- 5:00Speaker 1: bawns in Second Corinthians eleven four, for if someone comes
- 5:04Speaker 1: and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or
- 5:07Speaker 1: if you receive a different spirit from the one you received,
- 5:11Speaker 1: or if you accept a different gospel from the one
- 5:13Speaker 1: you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. A
- 5:16Speaker 1: different gospel leads people away from the true salvation in
- 5:21Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. Now let's move on to another group that
- 5:24Speaker 1: seems Christian but teaches false doctrines, Jehovah's Witnesses. Jehovah's Witnesses
- 5:31Speaker 1: were founded by Charles tays Russell in the late nineteenth century.
- 5:35Speaker 1: At first glance, they seemed devoted to studying the Bible,
- 5:39Speaker 1: talking about God, and spreading their beliefs door to door.
- 5:44Speaker 1: But beneath this dedication lies a doctrine that strays far
- 5:48Speaker 1: from biblical Christianity. One of the biggest red flags is
- 5:51Speaker 1: their own altered version of the Bible, called the New
- 5:54Speaker 1: World Translation NWT. This translation deliberately changed key verses to
- 6:01Speaker 1: fit their beliefs. For example, John one one, which in
- 6:05Speaker 1: most Bibles says in the beginning was the Word and
- 6:08Speaker 1: the word was with God and the word was God
- 6:12Speaker 1: is changed in the NWT to say the word was
- 6:16Speaker 1: a God, denying Christ's divinity. This is a direct contradiction
- 6:21Speaker 1: of Colossians two nine, which says, for in Him the
- 6:24Speaker 1: whole fullness of Deity dwells bodily. One of the most
- 6:28Speaker 1: dangerous teachings of Jehovah's witnesses is their denial of the Trinity.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Unlike Biblical Christianity, which teaches that God exists as Father, Son,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and Holy Spirit, one God in three persons, they claim
- 6:43Speaker 1: that Jesus is not God but merely a created being.
- 6:47Speaker 1: They teach that Jesus is actually Michael, the Archangel, reducing
- 6:52Speaker 1: him to a powerful but non divine entity. However, the
- 6:55Speaker 1: Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is not just an angel
- 6:59Speaker 1: but God himself. Hebrews one to six states and again
- 7:04Speaker 1: when he brings the first Born into the world, he says,
- 7:07Speaker 1: let all God's angels worship him. If Jesus were merely
- 7:11Speaker 1: an angel, why would angels be commanded to worship him.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Another disturbing belief is their teaching about salvation. Jehovah's witnesses
- 7:20Speaker 1: believe that only one hundred and forty four thousand people
- 7:23Speaker 1: will go to heaven, while the rest of their followers
- 7:26Speaker 1: will live forever on earth. This comes from a misinterpretation
- 7:30Speaker 1: of Revelation seventy four, where one hundred and forty four
- 7:33Speaker 1: thousand from the tribes of Israel are mentioned. However, the
- 7:37Speaker 1: Bible never teaches that this number represents the only people
- 7:42Speaker 1: who will enter heaven. Romans ten thirteen says for everyone
- 7:46Speaker 1: who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Limiting salvation to an elite group distorts the true message
- 7:53Speaker 1: of the Gospel. They also reject the existence of Hell. Instead,
- 7:57Speaker 1: they teach that those who reject God simply cease to exist,
- 8:00Speaker 1: an idea known as annihilationism. However, Jesus spoke about Hell
- 8:05Speaker 1: multiple times, describing it as a place of eternal punishment.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Matthew twenty five forty six states, and these will go
- 8:12Speaker 1: away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
- 8:17Speaker 1: By denying Hell, Jehovah's witnesses ignore the seriousness of sin
- 8:22Speaker 1: and the necessity of salvation through Christ alone. Another major
- 8:27Speaker 1: concern is their strict control over members. The watch Tower Society,
- 8:32Speaker 1: their governing organization dictates all beliefs and interpretations of scripture.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Questioning the leadership is considered rebellion, and those who leave
- 8:42Speaker 1: or disagree are shunned, cut off from family and friends.
- 8:47Speaker 1: This is a classic sign of spiritual manipulation and cult
- 8:51Speaker 1: like control. The Bible encourages believers to test teachings against
- 8:55Speaker 1: Scripture Acts seventeen eleven, but Jehovah's witnesses discouraged from independent thinking.
- 9:02Speaker 1: True Christianity invites questions, study, and personal faith in Christ,
- 9:07Speaker 1: not blind obedience to an organization. These deviations from biblical
- 9:12Speaker 1: truth show that Jehovah's witnesses are not truly Christian. While
- 9:17Speaker 1: they speak of God, their teachings distort his nature, change
- 9:22Speaker 1: the Gospel, and place human authority above the Bible, as
- 9:26Speaker 1: Tewod Peter two one warns, but false prophets also arose
- 9:30Speaker 1: among the people, just as there will be false teachers
- 9:33Speaker 1: among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even
- 9:37Speaker 1: denying the master who bought them. Now, let's move on
- 9:41Speaker 1: to another movement that presents itself as Christian but preaches
- 9:45Speaker 1: a completely different gospel, the Unification Church also known as Moonism.
- 9:51Speaker 1: The Unification Church, also known as Moonism, was founded in
- 9:55Speaker 1: nineteen fifty four by Sun Jung Moon in South Korea.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Unlike traditional Christianity, which is based on the Bible alone,
- 10:04Speaker 1: Moonism revolves around the teachings and authority of its founder.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Sun Jung Moon claimed to have received a divine revelation
- 10:12Speaker 1: from Jesus, supposedly telling him that Christ's mission was left
- 10:16Speaker 1: incomplete and that he Moon was chosen to finish the job.
- 10:20Speaker 1: This belief alone is a massive red flag. As John
- 10:25Speaker 1: nineteen thirty records jesus last words on the cross it
- 10:28Speaker 1: is finished. The atoning work of Christ was completed on
- 10:32Speaker 1: the cross, and any claim that it was incomplete is
- 10:35Speaker 1: a direct contradiction of biblical truth. One of the most
- 10:38Speaker 1: blasphemous teachings of the Unification Church is that Sun Mung
- 10:42Speaker 1: Moon and his wife Hak Jahan Mun are the true
- 10:46Speaker 1: parents of humanity. According to their doctrine, jesus purpose was
- 10:51Speaker 1: not only to bring spiritual salvation, but also to get
- 10:55Speaker 1: married and produce a sinless lineage. They believe that because
- 10:59Speaker 1: Jesus was crucified before marrying, he failed to establish a
- 11:03Speaker 1: perfect family, leaving humanity spiritually orphaned. Moon declared himself and
- 11:09Speaker 1: his wife as the new messianic figures, completing what Jesus
- 11:14Speaker 1: failed to do. But this contradicts Isaiah ninety six, which
- 11:18Speaker 1: proclaims Jesus as the everlasting Father and the Prince of peace.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Nowhere in the Bible is there any mention of another
- 11:27Speaker 1: messiah to come after Christ. The Unification Church also teaches
- 11:32Speaker 1: that sin originated from an illicit sexual relationship between Eve
- 11:37Speaker 1: and Satan, rather than the biblical teaching of Adam and
- 11:40Speaker 1: Eve's disobedience to God's command. To purify people from this
- 11:45Speaker 1: supposed original sin, Moon introduced bizarre wedding rituals, including mass marriages,
- 11:51Speaker 1: where couples are supposedly blessed to restore the world. Followers
- 11:55Speaker 1: believe that by being married under Moon's authority, they are
- 11:59Speaker 1: cleansed from their sin and can produce sinless children, but
- 12:03Speaker 1: the Bible makes it clear that only the blood of
- 12:06Speaker 1: Jesus Christ can cleanse sin. First John one seven states
- 12:10Speaker 1: the blood of Jesus, his son, cleanses us from all sin.
- 12:14Speaker 1: No marriage, ceremony, no human leader, and certainly no self
- 12:18Speaker 1: proclaimed messiah can replace Christ's sacrifice. Another dangerous aspect of
- 12:23Speaker 1: Moonism is its obsession with financial contributions. Followers are expected
- 12:28Speaker 1: to donate large sums of money to receive spiritual blessings
- 12:33Speaker 1: from the Moons. Many have gone bankrupt trying to meet
- 12:37Speaker 1: the organization's demands, believing they are securing their salvation through giving.
- 12:42Speaker 1: This reflects the warnings in Second Peter two three. In
- 12:46Speaker 1: their greed, they will exploit you with false words. Their
- 12:50Speaker 1: condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction
- 12:54Speaker 1: is not asleep. The true Gospel does not demand financial
- 12:58Speaker 1: transactions for salvation. Grace is a free gift from God. Lastly,
- 13:04Speaker 1: Moonism promotes religious syncretism, meaning they seek to merge all
- 13:09Speaker 1: religions into one under the leadership of the Unification Church.
- 13:14Speaker 1: They claim that Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and all other faiths
- 13:19Speaker 1: must unite under Moon's teachings to create a global spiritual family. However,
- 13:24Speaker 1: the Bible clearly states that Jesus is the only way
- 13:27Speaker 1: to God. John fourteen six declares, I am the Way
- 13:31Speaker 1: and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to
- 13:34Speaker 1: the Father except through me. Attempting to blend Christianity with
- 13:39Speaker 1: other religions distorts the Gospel and leads people away from
- 13:44Speaker 1: the one true faith in Jesus Christ. These false doctrines
- 13:48Speaker 1: prove that the Unification Church is not Christian. Instead, it
- 13:52Speaker 1: is a deceptive movement built around the self proclaimed messiahship
- 13:57Speaker 1: of Sun Young Moon, demanding unquestioning loyalty, financial devotion, and
- 14:03Speaker 1: theological compromise. As Matthew twenty four to twenty four warns, for,
- 14:07Speaker 1: false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great
- 14:12Speaker 1: signs and wonders to deceive if possible, even the elect.
- 14:16Speaker 1: True believers must stay rooted in Scripture to recognize these deceptions. Next,
- 14:22Speaker 1: let's examine another group that also claims to be Christian
- 14:25Speaker 1: but strays dangerously from Biblical truth, Christian Science. Christian Science,
- 14:30Speaker 1: founded in eighteen seventy nine by Mary Baker Eddie, presents
- 14:34Speaker 1: itself as a Christian movement, but its teachings diverge significantly
- 14:38Speaker 1: from Biblical Christianity. Unlike traditional Christianity, which acknowledges the reality
- 14:44Speaker 1: of sin, sickness, and the physical world, Christian Science claims
- 14:49Speaker 1: that everything material is an illusion and that only the
- 14:53Speaker 1: spiritual realm is real. This belief directly contradicts Scripture, which
- 14:58Speaker 1: teaches that God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis
- 15:02Speaker 1: one one, and that Jesus physically came in the flesh
- 15:06Speaker 1: to redeem humanity John one fourteen. One of the most
- 15:11Speaker 1: dangerous aspects of Christian science is its denial of medical treatment.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Followers believe that sickness and disease do not actually exist,
- 15:21Speaker 1: they are merely errors of the mind caused by incorrect thinking.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Instead of seeking medical help, they rely exclusively on prayer
- 15:30Speaker 1: to correct their thoughts and align themselves with spiritual truth.
- 15:34Speaker 1: While prayer is powerful, the Bible never teaches that sickness
- 15:38Speaker 1: is an illusion. Luke five thirty one states those who
- 15:43Speaker 1: are well have no need of a physician, but those
- 15:46Speaker 1: who are sick. Jesus himself recognized physical illness and even
- 15:51Speaker 1: healed the sick as part of his ministry. Christian science
- 15:55Speaker 1: also denies the reality of sin and evil. According to
- 15:59Speaker 1: Mary Baker Edie's books Science and Health with Key to
- 16:02Speaker 1: the Scriptures, sin is just a misunderstanding of God's nature,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and evil is simply an illusion that disappears once a
- 16:10Speaker 1: person reaches spiritual enlightenment. This contradicts the Bible's teachings that
- 16:16Speaker 1: sin is real and has serious consequences. Romans three twenty
- 16:20Speaker 1: three says, for all have sinned and fall short of
- 16:24Speaker 1: the glory of God. Ignoring sin does not make it disappear.
- 16:29Speaker 1: It must be dealt with through repentance and faith in
- 16:32Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. Another serious problem with Christian science is its
- 16:36Speaker 1: rejection of Jesus's physical resurrection. While they acknowledge Jesus as
- 16:41Speaker 1: an important teacher, they deny that he physically died and
- 16:45Speaker 1: rose again. Instead, they claim that his resurrection was merely
- 16:49Speaker 1: a spiritual awakening rather than a literal bodily event. However,
- 16:55Speaker 1: Fan Corinthians fifteen fourteen declares, and if Christ has not
- 16:59Speaker 1: been raised, than our preaching is in vain, and your
- 17:03Speaker 1: faith is in vain. The physical resurrection of Jesus is
- 17:07Speaker 1: the foundation of the Christian faith. Without it, there is
- 17:11Speaker 1: no victory over sin and death. Christian science also promotes
- 17:15Speaker 1: an extra biblical book, Science and Health with Key to
- 17:18Speaker 1: the Scriptures, as essential for understanding the Bible. This book
- 17:22Speaker 1: reinterprets Scripture according to Mary Baker Eddy's beliefs, leading followers
- 17:27Speaker 1: away from the true meaning of God's word. The Bible
- 17:31Speaker 1: warns against this in Proverbs thirty six. Do not add
- 17:35Speaker 1: to his words lest he rebuke you. And you be
- 17:39Speaker 1: found a liar. Any religious movement that elevates another book
- 17:43Speaker 1: above or alongside the Bible leads people into deception. Despite
- 17:48Speaker 1: its Christian sounding name, Christian science is not biblical Christianity.
- 17:53Speaker 1: It denies core Christian doctrines, including the reality of sin,
- 17:58Speaker 1: the necessity of Christ's atonement, and the bodily resurrection of Jesus.
- 18:03Speaker 1: This movement replaces the Gospel with human philosophy, making personal
- 18:08Speaker 1: enlightenment more important than faith in Christ. Colossians two eight warns,
- 18:14Speaker 1: see to it that no one takes you captive by
- 18:16Speaker 1: philosophy and empty deceit according to human tradition, according to
- 18:22Speaker 1: the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. Next,
- 18:27Speaker 1: let's examine another movement that has sparked debate among Christians,
- 18:31Speaker 1: Seventh Day Adventism. According to some critics, Seventh Day Adventism
- 18:38Speaker 1: SDA emerged from the Millerite movement in the nineteenth century
- 18:43Speaker 1: and was heavily influenced by the teachings of Ellen G. White,
- 18:47Speaker 1: who is regarded by many Adventists as a prophetess. While
- 18:51Speaker 1: Seventh Day Adventists affirm many core Christian beliefs, some of
- 18:55Speaker 1: their unique doctrines and interpretations have led to debates about
- 18:59Speaker 1: whether the movement aligns fully with Biblical Christianity. Some critics
- 19:04Speaker 1: argue that certain SDA teachings distort the Gospel and place
- 19:08Speaker 1: unnecessary burdens on believers, shifting the focus from grace to works.
- 19:14Speaker 1: One of the most controversial teachings in Adventism is the
- 19:18Speaker 1: investigative judgment doctrine. According to this belief, in eighteen forty four,
- 19:23Speaker 1: Jesus entered the Heavenly Sanctuary to begin a process of
- 19:27Speaker 1: investigating the sins of believers to determine who is truly saved.
- 19:32Speaker 1: This idea was introduced after William Miller's failed prediction that
- 19:36Speaker 1: Jesus would return in eighteen forty four. Rather than admitting error,
- 19:42Speaker 1: some of Miller's followers claimed that jesus return was spiritual,
- 19:46Speaker 1: not physical, and that he had entered a new phase
- 19:48Speaker 1: of judgment. However, Hebrews ten twelve to fourteen states, but
- 19:53Speaker 1: when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice
- 19:56Speaker 1: for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
- 20:00Speaker 1: For by a single offering he has perfected for all
- 20:03Speaker 1: time those who are being sanctified. The Bible teaches that
- 20:07Speaker 1: salvation was completed at the cross, and there is no
- 20:11Speaker 1: mention of an ongoing judgment process determining who is worthy.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Another highly debated aspect of Adventism is the emphasis on
- 20:20Speaker 1: keeping the Sabbath as a requirement for true faithfulness. SDA
- 20:24Speaker 1: doctrine teaches that Saturday worship is mandatory and that worshiping
- 20:28Speaker 1: on Sunday is a sign of apostasy, sometimes linked to
- 20:32Speaker 1: the mark of the Beast in Revelation. While Sabbath observance
- 20:37Speaker 1: was part of the Old Covenant, the New Testament teaches
- 20:40Speaker 1: that Christ fulfilled the law and that believers are no
- 20:44Speaker 1: longer under sabbath restrictions. Colossians two, sixteen to seventeen states, therefore,
- 20:51Speaker 1: let no one pass judgment on you in questions of
- 20:54Speaker 1: food and drink, or with regard to a festival, or
- 20:57Speaker 1: a new moon, or a sabbath. These are a sh
- 21:00Speaker 1: shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs
- 21:03Speaker 1: to Christ. Forcing Sabbath observance as a requirement for salvation
- 21:08Speaker 1: contradicts the Biblical message that salvation is through grace, not
- 21:13Speaker 1: law keeping. Many Seventh day Adventists follow dietary restrictions from
- 21:18Speaker 1: the Old Testament avoiding foods like pork and shellfish. While
- 21:23Speaker 1: dietary laws were part of the Mosaic Covenant, Jesus declared
- 21:27Speaker 1: all foods clean in Mark seven, eighteen nineteen, and the
- 21:30Speaker 1: Apostle Paul affirmed in One Timothy four three five that
- 21:34Speaker 1: foods should not be rejected if received with thanksgiving. While
- 21:38Speaker 1: choosing a healthy diet is wise, teaching that certain foods
- 21:42Speaker 1: are spiritually harmful goes beyond biblical teaching and risks placing
- 21:47Speaker 1: unnecessary burdens on believers. Ellen G. White's writings holds significant
- 21:53Speaker 1: authority within Adventism, and many members consider her visions and
- 21:57Speaker 1: prophecies as divinely in space. While some of her teachings
- 22:02Speaker 1: align with the Bible, others contain questionable claims, such as
- 22:07Speaker 1: the idea that Satan, rather than Jesus, will bear the
- 22:10Speaker 1: ultimate punishment for sin, a concept known as the scapegoat doctrine. However,
- 22:17Speaker 1: the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus alone bore the punishment
- 22:21Speaker 1: for sin. Isaiah fifty three five states, but he was
- 22:25Speaker 1: pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and
- 22:33Speaker 1: with his wounds we are healed. Giving Satan any role
- 22:37Speaker 1: in the atonement distorts the sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice. While
- 22:41Speaker 1: there are many sincere believers within the SDA movement, these
- 22:45Speaker 1: controversial teachings raise concerns about whether Adventism fully aligns with
- 22:50Speaker 1: the Biblical Gospel. The greatest danger is placing law keeping
- 22:54Speaker 1: and works alongside grace, which Galatians two sixteen warns against.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Yet we know that a person is not justified by
- 23:02Speaker 1: works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Any system that adds requirements to salvation risks leading people
- 23:10Speaker 1: into legalism rather than true freedom in Christ. Now, let's
- 23:15Speaker 1: look at a movement that blends Christianity with prosperity theology.
- 23:20Speaker 1: The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. The Universal
- 23:24Speaker 1: Church of the Kingdom of God uc KG, founded in
- 23:27Speaker 1: nineteen seventy seven by Edir Mercedo in Brazil, presents itself
- 23:32Speaker 1: as a Christian church, but its core teachings focus heavily
- 23:36Speaker 1: on financial prosperity rather than biblical salvation. This movement is
- 23:41Speaker 1: one of the most prominent examples of prosperity theology, which
- 23:45Speaker 1: teaches that faith combined with generous financial giving will result
- 23:50Speaker 1: in wealth, success and physical healing. While the Bible does
- 23:54Speaker 1: teach that God blesses his people, the prosperity Gospel distorts

- 28:18Speaker 1: New age, mysticism creating a belief system that is fundamentally
- 28:23Speaker 1: incompatible With Biblical. Christianity one of its most outrageous claims
- 28:28Speaker 1: is that Ruho okawa is the reincarnation Of, Jesus, buddha
- 28:33Speaker 1: and other religious, figures making him the ultimate spiritual. Leader,
- 28:38Speaker 1: however The bible explicitly teaches That jesus is, unique the

- 29:50Speaker 1: with The Happy science church is its downplaying of jesus
- 29:54Speaker 1: sacrifice on The. Cross While christianity teaches that jesus death
- 29:58Speaker 1: and resurrection are the foundation of, Salvation Happy science Treats
- 30:04Speaker 1: jesus as just one of many teachers who brought wisdom to.

- 30:32Speaker 1: of spiritual, success claiming that financial wealth and success are
- 30:36Speaker 1: proof that a person has achieved. Enlightenment this is similar
