Job 8 - Just Because It's Old Doesn't Mean It's True
Jenn continues in Job 8, where Job's second friend, Bildad, speaks up with some big untruths about God and Job:
"Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?" Bildad calls Job a windbag.
Bildad says Job's children had it coming. Does suffering always mean you sinned?
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous." God promises deliverance, not a pain-free life.
Just because something is old doesn't mean it's true. Be like the Bereans and judge all things, new and old, according to Scripture.
Bildad compares Job to a reed with no water and shallow roots.
