- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Here we are again.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: We are 40 medium staffed in the land at Dungeons and Dragons.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: How are we gonna get back home?
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: We don't know.
- 0:17SPEAKER_03: Whoa! 50 and Dragons of Comedy.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: This is Comic Quest.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Alright, and welcome back to Comics Quest.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Uh today we're back recording in Bad, because Bad's a great venue for podcasts.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: They do a lot of live podcasts.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: They also show live football games, they do cabaret, they do stand-up, whatever you want, Bad does it, so make sure you check it out.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: It's also the sister venue of Blackfriars, which is becoming the home of stand-up in Glasgow.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: So make sure you check out both of these venues.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Today's a special episode.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: An individual episode with Kate Hammer.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: Hell yeah.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: So basically, what's gonna happen is we're gonna find out more about Fanny and see how you see how you get the gang back together, hopefully.
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: I for one am thrilled to know more about Fanny.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Well, we'll we're gonna find out more, hopefully.
- 1:16SPEAKER_03: And I can't wait to find out more from you about Fanny.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Alright.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Shit, man.
- 1:22SPEAKER_03: I need a man's perspective on this.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: So what happened in the last episode was you defeated Prime Evil, and then uh Don Baldree was cutting the penis off of Prime Evil, which wasn't even it sounds like an idea that you would have came up with.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: It was entirely Gareth's idea.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: So gotta give him props to that.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: As he was cutting the deck off of Prime Evil, guards running, and so did uh Bug Bell Warrior.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: They got everybody, they put Sean and Bill Futler into one cart.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: They put Gareth as Don Baldree into his own jail cart, and you got knocked out and put into your own jail cart.
- 2:01SPEAKER_03: Did they get knocked out too?
- 2:03SPEAKER_03: So uh Phil Why am I getting knocked out?
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: What the heck?
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Bill and Sean didn't get knocked out, they just got to see the scenic journey they were on.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Don Boltree, he got knocked out.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: They took out the two biggest threats.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: This is understandable.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: And they left Bill and Sean to just have a chat, basically.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: But you are now in a jail cart.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: The jail cart is about five feet wide, it's six foot long and seven foot tall.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: There's like bars and stuff, so you could reach out and stuff like that, but there's nothing to really get a pull to.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: The cart has been pulled by a giant boar, uh, which has been driven by a bugbear warrior who's kind of like an orc goblin looking thing, but he's quite big and muscly.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: And then you've got two guards on horseback in front of you, two guards on horseback behind you, so you're surrounded and you're knocked out.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: So for as you're knocked out, and maybe as a good time to kind of do some flashbacks and see see how you ended up in this situation.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: You're gonna meet someone you've never met before.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: God is God's coming to visit you.
- 3:11SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: In a good way?
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, you're the only person who's not had to give him trouble with this.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: So he's gonna be happy to see you.
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: The reason I was pausing because I was like, didn't I?
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: I think I came real close to meeting you.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: You were one point away from me.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Oh, interesting.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: You've that now the pun meter is out of commission now.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: You're the only one to survive.
- 3:33SPEAKER_03: It's out of commission?
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we don't need to worry about puns anymore.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: Why?
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: Because you're sick of doing it?
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, basically.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: Um I can't believe I survived it.
- 3:43SPEAKER_03: So I'm in God.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: So you're in a kind of I'm in God?
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, you can see how it plays out.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Can we get that point?
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: But uh basically you're in an entirely white space, and in front of you is like a massive kind of throne.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: Really big, tall guy.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: You can't even see his face because he's so tall.
- 4:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: And he's in front of you.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: And he goes, Fanny, we finally meet.
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: Is he wearing sandals?
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's wearing sandals.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Birkenstocks?
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Well, say Birkenstocks, yeah.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Not a brand, though.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: He's he doesn't do brands.
- 4:14SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: I was I was gonna call you out on that.
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: Um my God.
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: Uh uh hi God, how are you?
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: I'm good, Fanny.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: It's uh I'm I'm glad we meet under these circumstances.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: I know you were getting pretty close to coming in here for different reasons, but you done you done the right thing.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: God, I do wanna just have some props to you for bringing people up for doing puns and not, you know, for murder or any of the other things that were said or done.
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: So thank you for having your priority straight.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, you you're not here for everything I do, so you don't see what goes on when you're not here, Fanny.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Or when your friends are not here.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Maybe I'm giving people into trouble for murders, you just don't see it.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: I didn't know God would be so fucking defensive.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: What the hell?
- 5:00SPEAKER_03: Dude, chill.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: I'm on your side, all right?
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: But I was just saying it's a little bit weird.
- 5:05SPEAKER_03: Anyway, look, I'm sorry.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: Actually, I came off as aggressive.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, let's start afresh here.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: I'm all about forgiveness, so let's move forward in that spirit.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: You found yourself in this cart.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: How do you think you got here, Fanny?
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: Why are your dogs out, man?
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: I'm just talking to your feet.
- 5:23SPEAKER_03: I'm talking to your feet, your fucking massive big feet.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: You could look at my knees if you wanted to.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: Quintin Tarantino?
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: No.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, knees, the sexiest thing in the world.
- 5:32SPEAKER_03: Fuck.
- 5:33SPEAKER_03: What did you ask me?
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: I said, how did you how do you think you ended up here?
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: What choices did you make that led to you being in the back of a jail car?
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: We defeated a bad guy.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: I actually did really well in that fight, and we found out that I'm actually super hot now.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: It was I think I only did good things.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: So I thought this was gonna be like a meeting to be like congratulations.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: But now I guess the meeting I don't know why we keep fighting.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: Listen, you're bringing whatever you bring.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: I'm not taking any sides.
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: I just got hit on the head and now I'm knocked out.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Well, you hit someone on the head first.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: Who?
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Primevil, you bast his head in.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but he was evil guy.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: Evil was literally his last name.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: Well, you can never judge a book by its cover.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Was he a good guy?
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: That's not for me to say.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: It is no, literally, that's what you're doing.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: That exists in heaven.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Whether or not he's a good guy or not is his data, and you haven't been given consent to look at his data.
- 6:38SPEAKER_03: Okay, fine.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: That's fine.
- 6:41SPEAKER_03: But but you implying that, look, I um I think it was good that we killed primeval.
- 6:48SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:48SPEAKER_03: And I don't regret it.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: Well, that's that's for you to live with, so and I'm gonna live fine.
- 6:53SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:53SPEAKER_03: Good for that.
- 6:54SPEAKER_03: Fine.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: I'm happy for you.
- 6:55SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:56unknown: Okay.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: I'm done with this maybe.
- 6:59SPEAKER_03: Actually, God, thank you.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: So I can understand now why uh Don Baldry and fuck Bill Fuddler fucking hated talking to you because you got a bad attitude and you're not being actually supportive at all.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, this is why I like Sean the best at all.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Because Sean does not cause any trouble.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he doesn't speak.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Sadly, you could all take a lesson from Sean.
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and he's ugly as hell.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: We rolled his his his attractiveness point.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: Maybe Sean's exactly the way he's meant to be.
- 7:32SPEAKER_03: I think it is the way he's meant to be.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: Um it's just it's hard on the eyes, okay?
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, let's let's let's go back.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Let's go back to where it all began for you.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: So you don't see God move his hand because you can't see his hands because of that high up, but you see a shadow, and then there's almost like a shimmering effect, and you've got kind of like like a kind of screen in front of you.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: It's not a screen, it's more magical than that.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: It's like foggy and shit like that.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: And it is uh a young fanny.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Like a hologram.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, a hologram we'll call it, but more mystical.
- 8:07SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: Just feels like you could have just said hologram, but it's a hologram.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: Of a little fanny.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Of a uh of a young a small fanny.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, if that's can I go with this?
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm not being weird.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: Uh I uh what is she doing?
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: Uh so she's uh alone.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: Uh it's up to you where you I'm gonna give you the lead on this when you can describe to us what's going on and what the situation is.
- 8:42SPEAKER_03: Um Fanny is making spaghetti.
- 8:44SPEAKER_03: Okay um for her mom.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: And her mom's asleep on the couch.
- 8:52SPEAKER_03: She works nights.
- 8:53SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 8:54SPEAKER_03: And um Fanny's making the spaghetti, but um she fucks up.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: No.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: She didn't put enough water in.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Perhaps the best of it.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: No.
- 9:06SPEAKER_03: Happens to fucking idiots, okay?
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: And she b burns.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: She burns the spaghetti and she freaks out, she tries to add more water.
- 9:14SPEAKER_03: Now she's got burnt spaghetti soup.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: Bad, right?
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:19SPEAKER_03: And her mom wakes up super angry.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: She's super angry, that's mum.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: Not happy.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: Burnt spaghetti.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: She's yelling.
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: Burnt spaghetti.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: Mum's spaghetti's usually the best.
- 9:31SPEAKER_03: But that was the problem.
- 9:32SPEAKER_03: It was Fanny's spaghetti.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: And um her mom lifts a hand, but she doesn't hit Fanny because that would be too much.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: That'd be too much.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: Um, she lowers her hand, but she's so disappointed in herself that um, you know, she wanted to to strike her own child um that she leaves.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: She uh leaves Fanny completely?
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: So Fanny's abandoned.
- 9:54SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: Her gr she's raised by her grandma.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: A nice grandma.
- 9:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:00SPEAKER_03: Bit dumb.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: Bit stupid.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: Stupid in an emotional sense, or just like a day-to-day.
- 10:09SPEAKER_03: Like Fanny is really the one running the household.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: Right, okay.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: She's the one doing the bills.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: She's that little like, you know, if you zoomed in on this in a movie in almost like a hologram sort of way, um, you would see Fanny like, you know, paying, writing out checks and like adding up the checkbook.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: And the grandma was would just be like patting her on the head and going, oh ha ha ha.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: You love math.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: You love that, but you can't make spaghetti.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: She'll and that's why spag uh Fanny never eats spaghetti again in her life.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Because it has really traumatized her.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: Um and um then she gets a dog.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: She gets a dog cookie?
- 10:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:52SPEAKER_03: Dog gets hit by car almost immediately.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: What is the dog's name?
- 10:56SPEAKER_03: Rufert.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: Almost two names spit together.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:06SPEAKER_03: Um Roofert.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: But it's good that he died because if he had lived, he would have actually ended up um biting someone.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: She just knew it.
- 11:17SPEAKER_03: She felt it.
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: This is why she pushed him in front of the car.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: She pushed him in front of me.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: I'm just gonna keep going once he comes out.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: So God says that's just not your childhood going.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:37SPEAKER_03: Well, I guess you weren't there.
- 11:38SPEAKER_03: Guess you weren't around.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: No, well, I'm in a different realm.
- 11:41SPEAKER_03: But okay, we're not getting into this.
- 11:43SPEAKER_03: Jesus, are you kidding me?
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: Where's Jesus?
- 11:45SPEAKER_03: Where's Jesus?
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: He's off doing stuff.
- 11:49SPEAKER_03: Aren't isn't your whole job supposed to be watching over us?
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: And have I not been watching over you?
- 11:55SPEAKER_03: You just said you didn't see my childhood.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because you're in a different realm.
- 11:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, God only exists in I don't get those channels.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: What the you saying it's a different god?
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, it's different universes.
- 12:10SPEAKER_03: Do you talk to the other god?
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: You said messages.
- 12:13SPEAKER_03: Like what?
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: Ah, they're really annoying, aren't they?
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: You've got them over there now.
- 12:19SPEAKER_03: So wait, you're just messaging specifically about us for the.
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: How many other people are switching worlds?
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: Too many.
- 12:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that seems like a fucking problem.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: Well we looked at that.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: Why is there what anyway?
- 12:36SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 12:37SPEAKER_03: What did you think about my childhood?
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: I thought it seemed sad in ways I didn't expect.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: I didn't I didn't think you'd push a dog in front of a car.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: Well, you know, again, if if she hadn't, if I hadn't done that, the dog would have bit someone and maybe and maybe killed.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Do we know that or are we assuming that?
- 12:57SPEAKER_03: I never thought about it like that.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm just hearing it off with a different perspective, you know.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: In many ways, you're you are your own worst enemy.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: To quote a song by Le.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: By who?
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: By Le.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: You ever listen to my own Okay, well I guess I'm the only one who gets that channel here.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: Do you get MM?
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we get MM.
- 13:19SPEAKER_03: Do the Mum spaghetti bit.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: I I just know Mum spaghetti format on his sweater already.
- 13:24SPEAKER_03: I figured that because when I said Burn spaghetti, you said Mom spaghetti.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: And I was like, that's the only bit he knows.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Well it's that's a good point.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: So let's let's move on to our next.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: Then God waves his hand and we're not taking to our next kind of hang and it is Fanny starting stand-up.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: So how did Fanny get into stand-up?
- 13:45SPEAKER_03: Fanny went to a comedy club on a date.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: On a date?
- 13:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: Was the guy good looking?
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: It was a woman.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: God.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: Wow, God.
- 13:54SPEAKER_03: What I think that's a point against you for something.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Well, if you read the Bible, that's very on track for me.
- 14:00SPEAKER_03: So the Bible was written by people, not God.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I told them to.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: People miss no, people misinterpreted.
- 14:07SPEAKER_03: It was so contradictory.
- 14:08SPEAKER_03: You want to get into the Bible?
- 14:09SPEAKER_03: Is the Bible the same in this world?
- 14:11SPEAKER_03: Who's on trial here, Funny?
- 14:14SPEAKER_03: Am I on trial?
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: Well, it does could go that way.
- 14:17SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 14:18SPEAKER_03: Well, it just seems like you keep threatening trial whenever you get close to one of your fucking idiot mistakes.
- 14:23SPEAKER_03: Okay, that was rude.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: That was rude.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: I'm taking that back.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: I was on a date in a comedy club, but she didn't tell me I got tricked.
- 14:32SPEAKER_03: She was doing stand-up.
- 14:33SPEAKER_03: Oh no.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: And I was like, oh my gosh.
- 14:35SPEAKER_03: So it kind of felt like she had to bring three people to the gig.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: And so she we were, you know, chatting on Tinder, and so she just invited me.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: So that really sucked.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: Was there a further dates she'd brought as well together?
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: Later on, I found out yes.
- 14:49SPEAKER_03: Both of them are men, so that was kind of fine.
- 14:51SPEAKER_03: She does her stand-ups, not great.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, great.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: What was her topics?
- 14:55SPEAKER_03: She did.
- 14:56SPEAKER_03: She started off with Hitler.
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: Like every good open mic comedian.
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: You know who hasn't been talked about enough?
- 15:02SPEAKER_03: Hitler.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: And you're like, that's so good.
- 15:06SPEAKER_03: No one's ever done a bit about him before.
- 15:08SPEAKER_03: Um, and then she immediately started talking about her periods.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: Um, what do you think about that?
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: I think you know, good for her.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: She could talk about I'm not going to tell women what she can and can't talk about on stage.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: Good.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: Then she talked about pedophiles.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: Classic.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: But they were female pet.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, a new question that John.
- 15:34SPEAKER_03: Um and uh and I was like, well, this person sucks.
- 15:37SPEAKER_03: I really don't want to date this person.
- 15:39SPEAKER_03: But then I found out that they had a draw bucket where you anyone could get, you know, their names pulled.
- 15:45SPEAKER_03: And I was so pissed off being like, I don't want to have wasted a night on this fake date watching this, uh, watching a woman try and be funny.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: And so I put my name in there.
- 15:56SPEAKER_03: I got called first, which is terrifying because I was like, oh, I I thought I'd have time to write something, you know, quickly.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: And then she was off with the two guys laughing.
- 16:06SPEAKER_03: They loved, they loved her set.
- 16:09SPEAKER_03: They loved the pedophile stuff because they really related to it.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: And and so I just, you know, I just started chatting.
- 16:16SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I was just kind of, you know, and then getting laughs and like, whoa, like this is actually going really well.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: Um, and then I got offered a gig immediately after.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: And it was just kind of my my calling.
- 16:26SPEAKER_03: I guess it was because I'd spent so many years making my grandmother laugh um and laughing in the in the face of the pain of abandonment that I was just ready to be a stand-up.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: There you are, and God goes well.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: It's a pretty inspiring journey you've been on, Fanny.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: Then God throws down a sheet of paper and it is Fanny's first ever stand-up review.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: Whoa.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: So what what does it say on the review?
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: Five stars.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: Five stars out of ten.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, and that's by Ben Stenet.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: Usually writes for Hortle.
- 17:03SPEAKER_03: That's so yes.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: Um I asked him not to come to that show.
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: Thing is, he said a lot of nice things in the review, but the low star kind of gutted me, being like, this is what I've worked for for so long.
- 17:17SPEAKER_03: And now somebody at, you know, one of the biggest uh review sites, Hortle, is that what you said?
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: Uh, doesn't think I'm good.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: So in many ways it read like a 10 star, but he gave you a five.
- 17:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: It was kind of like, watch this space, she's gonna do big things.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: Um, there was five people in the audience.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: In many ways, your life is a constant overcome and a struggle.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: I could not have said it better.
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: God, you've just absolutely nailed the the you've hammered the nail on its head.
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: How do you say that?
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: The nail on the head.
- 17:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, whatever.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: Hit it with what?
- 17:55SPEAKER_03: Hammer, you know?
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: It's a hey.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: My name's Fanny.
- 18:00SPEAKER_05: Oh fucking stay in character, Liam.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: It's uh God, he's he's he's like, listen, there's not really much I can teach you.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: You already have everything you need with inside yourself to move forward here.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: You constantly are overcoming and becoming stronger.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: So I can say to you is keep keep fighting.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: I I think you should go back to your cage now.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: My cage?
- 18:25SPEAKER_03: Well, you were in a cage before I came and decided to Yeah, and then I came out of my cage and now I'm doing just fine.
- 18:30SPEAKER_03: You gotta go.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: Because you want it all.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: Well, this has been fun.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: You wake up, you're in this cage, you're hearing them the guards talking, they're like, Yeah, we're eight hours from Nother Winter.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you've not had time to do a long rest or short rest of anything since your battle with primeval.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Uh right now, you currently only have one second level spell slot and two first levels.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: You've got eight hours till you get to another winter.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: You could do a long rest and regain everything, but that does take eight hours.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: You could do a short rest, and I think you can regain one first level spell slot, and that'll mean you'll have three, and you that'll take two hours, and then you can try and make up your mind.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: But you're in this cage and it's up to you what you do now.
- 19:15SPEAKER_03: I want to look around and then maybe do a long rest.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, uh so roll investigation sixteen.
- 19:22SPEAKER_03: Sixteen.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: And then your investigation is that's two, so eighteen.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: So what you can see is basically you can tell the bug bear warrior who's driving the car, he's not well liked by the guards.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: They kind of looking down on him, they're kind of treating him like a subclass kind of what are they calling him?
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: They're going a filthy, filthy half-breed and stuff like that.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: Oh Jesus, that's like bad.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: That's like HR worthy.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, you can take it up with a Ruler of Notherwinners.
- 19:50SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: But they're being really hot.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: It's one of those ones, they don't like him.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: Uh, you can see on his person though, he has got he's got a set of keys that you would assume are for your kid.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: You can see though, as they're talking about him and stuff like that, he's not he's it's not having any real emotional effect on him.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: He's just like kind of ignoring it all.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: So God, I can relate.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: God, yeah.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: And I know I can really only see the back of him, but is he hot?
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: He is a nine out of twenty.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: So he's a bit of five.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: He's a bit uh he's a so out of ten, he'd be a five.
- 20:23SPEAKER_03: And that's you're saying that's good.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: That's I mean, it's average.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: What do you think you are?
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: I would uh anything over a five I'm happy with, just because you can round up, you're a ten.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: You can you can round up.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: You can do whatever you want.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: You just make your life.
- 20:41SPEAKER_03: All right, cool.
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: Um, I look uh so it's seven foot tall, everything's firmly shut.
- 20:47SPEAKER_03: There's no way of breaking out.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so it looks everything's fairly kind of seems there.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: When you kinda if you kind of press the door, you can kind of see it does juggle kind of a bit.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: It's a bit loose, but it looks like it would take a a a good strength kind of.
- 21:05SPEAKER_03: Be honest with me, when I was passed out, did I shit myself?
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: If you want to roll for that, I'll I can roll for that.
- 21:12SPEAKER_03: It's a common thing.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: It's a common thing when you if you pass out, you have you ever passed out and shot yourself?
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: One.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, fuck.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: That means I didn't, right?
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: That means you did, and it's very, very bad.
- 21:26SPEAKER_03: What?
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: If you roll a one, so a run a one is a critical fail.
- 21:31SPEAKER_05: Oh no.
- 21:36SPEAKER_05: No, why did I ask?
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: You do it's again, you are your own worst enemy to quote.
- 21:43SPEAKER_03: Oh so it's runny, it's everywhere.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: It's really, really bad if any you can see that the bugbell warrior is not taking in the insults because he is so distracted by what is this what is coming from back.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: What if I say, hey, boys, can I have some water to clean myself off?
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: That'll be persuasion.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: I will say you get pers you get advantage on your persuasion because it's so bad that they're like, we would really like this to be cleaned up.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:15SPEAKER_03: Everyone's got the same 18.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Every this is the first time you've seen everybody united.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: Everybody's just like, yep, yep, let's let's do that.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: So they stop the cart, they open the gate, and they all throw in their wee containers of water to you.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: I'd be like, please clean that up.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: That needs to go now.
- 22:35SPEAKER_03: I'm just picturing sticking my butt out the door.
- 22:39SPEAKER_03: And they're just washing it and putting water on it.
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: But I say, because I'm wearing what was I wearing before?
- 22:46SPEAKER_03: Pants?
- 22:47SPEAKER_03: Trousers?
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Whatever Fanny was wearing when she was gonna go on at the choco bucket, that's what she's wearing.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: And it's slightly reinforced for the down.
- 22:55SPEAKER_03: It was a jumpsuit.
- 22:57SPEAKER_03: Oh so Fanny's like, look, can you guys just cut the top?
- 23:01SPEAKER_03: The bottom's gotta go.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 23:03SPEAKER_03: Because jumpsuit was tight.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Right, okay.
- 23:06SPEAKER_03: And uh so it's you know, it's compacted itself.
- 23:10SPEAKER_03: So I need to throw out the bottom, and I I asked them, please, please, can I have something to wear on my bottom?
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and they nod, and the bugbell warrior rode you a cloak he was wearing, and he just throws into the cart, and then he slams the gate shut, and now that's all been taken care of.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: But when before he slams the gate shut, did we lock eyes?
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: If you want to roll a charisma check, you can do that.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Right, so that's uh that's a six.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say you're gonna have to roll with disadvantaged because this bugbear warrior has seen you at your absolute worst.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: Honestly, I've had worse gigs.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: So your best roll your worst roll was a two, you have plus two charisma, so that's four.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: He was actively trying to avoid eye contact with you the whole time this was going on.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: He was just like, just please, just take this and leave me alone.
- 24:03SPEAKER_03: When he closed the door.
- 24:06SPEAKER_03: Nah, I'm not gonna try and go for the keys.
- 24:11SPEAKER_03: I'm just gonna leave it.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: So are you are you wanting to do the eight-hour rest and just get to another winter?
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: Or do you want to do the short rest and try and re-evaluate your situation?
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: Can I wake up in two hours, check?
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can do that if you want.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, okay.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: I pass out.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: So you pass out for two hours.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: Uh when you wake back up, you're kind of going through a forest kind of path, so there's forest on either side of you.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: Uh, you can see the guards are getting a bit restless because they've been on horseback for two hours, so they're gonna jump off and take a quick break just to stretch their legs to try to prevent saddle sores, stuff like that.
- 24:44SPEAKER_05: I see why.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: But why am I giving you a detailed outline of the world do you and that but no?
- 24:52SPEAKER_03: I don't need to know what situation their ass is in.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: There's been a lot of ass talk in this episode already.
- 25:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so it's just but it's fine when it's coming from me.
- 25:03SPEAKER_03: Like they got saddle sores.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: They don't, because they're taking a break.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: They prevented.
- 25:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:09SPEAKER_03: Oh god, I bet their butts are soggy.
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: Um, what about the guy leading my my crate?
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: The bug bill warrior, he just kind of stretches, but he doesn't get up to go and take a walk around without those So the other but the other two guards are gone.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: The other four guards are all kinda they've pulled their horses all to one side.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: And they'll just kind of chat and be like, oh, I hate these long journeys type of pattern.
- 25:33SPEAKER_03: I go pss, ps.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: He c he turns around, he doesn't say anything, he just looks at you.
- 25:38SPEAKER_02: Can I have some water?
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he he goes, You used all the water to clean up the shit.
- 25:44SPEAKER_03: I didn't mean to shit myself.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: You guys knocked me out.
- 25:47SPEAKER_03: What's happening?
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Where are we going?
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: We're going to Neverwinter.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: The ruler of Neverwinter is very insistent that you all get there.
- 25:54SPEAKER_03: Is he a cool guy?
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: Very cool.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: What do you mean?
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean coolness is dependent on your own personality.
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 26:01SPEAKER_03: Does he kill a lot of people?
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: He does.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: Every ruler kills people.
- 26:06SPEAKER_03: Did he seem like he wanted to kill me and my friends?
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: No, he just really wants you.
- 26:10SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 26:10SPEAKER_03: Is he hot?
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: Again, that is a matter of perspective.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: I think he's alright.
- 26:17SPEAKER_03: What did you do with my friends?
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: Where are they?
- 26:19SPEAKER_03: I know, I know they're insisting to find out where I am as well.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: He goes, We split you all up because we are dangerous.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: So we don't want you to all the girls, so you're easier to deal with.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: And then the guards shout over to them, they're like, stop talking to all.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: You're not to talk to the prisoners.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: I was just gonna say, he's revealing a lot of information to me.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: Well, you're the first person who's talking nice to him.
- 26:38SPEAKER_03: Say, I'm sorry I got you in trouble just then.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: You seem really nice.
- 26:42SPEAKER_03: What's your name?
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's he looks to make sure that he's not gonna get caught and he goes, My name is Big Red.
- 26:50SPEAKER_03: That was legitimately my brother's nickname in high school.
- 26:55SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 26:56SPEAKER_03: Hey, Big Red.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: My name's Fanny.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: Fanny is Bigwind.
- 26:59SPEAKER_03: Thank uh thank you for your help earlier.
- 27:01SPEAKER_03: I'm really embarrassed, but this cloak is um saving my dignity.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: I would say that the dignity has left a long time ago.
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, doesn't seem like you're in your position to like say that to me.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: But you're in a shit-covered cage.
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: I cleaned it up.
- 27:18SPEAKER_03: I'm I really have to shit again.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: Please can you let me out just to shit so I don't shit in here?
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: Uh so he whistles to the guards and then points back at you.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: And the guards come over and they're like, what's going on here?
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: What's going on here?
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: I'm about to explode.
- 27:34SPEAKER_03: I'm about to explode big style.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: Is this another shitting thing?
- 27:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:39SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: They unlock the cage because they've seen what you're capable of.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: So they're and they unlock the cage and they go, right, you stick your arse out the cage again.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: They don't want you coming fully out.
- 27:51SPEAKER_03: So I do that.
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: I say, Oh, back up, boys.
- 27:55SPEAKER_03: Boys, back up.
- 27:56SPEAKER_03: It's a big, big one coming.
- 27:58SPEAKER_03: They turn do they turn away?
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: They back up and they'll like they're kind of covering their eyes, they're like, this could be bad.
- 28:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I use that time.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: You gonna run?
- 28:07SPEAKER_03: I jump out, I run.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: Right, okay.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: Roll me a dexterity, 11, and then your dexterity is plus two, so 13.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: So you get out the cage and you get and you're running, uh, but they've all seen you and they are still pretty close behind you.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: So none of them.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to let me just make sure.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: The guards have ranged weapons, they all have spears, so they're gonna now Are there's spear sharp?
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's just oh no.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: So can you roll me an initiative?
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: Ten.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Right, okay.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: The only person who's gonna go before you is the bug bell warrior.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: So he turns the cart, he basically unhinges the bore from the cart, which now he's just on the bore and he's running after you.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: He's gonna try and grab you because he got an attack called grab, just handy.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Uh so he rolls that.
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: Handy for him.
- 29:01SPEAKER_03: That sucks for me.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: So he got 16 plus four.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: Uh oh, you can roll a dexterity savings throw.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: 19, you get plus two, so you've beaten him.
- 29:10SPEAKER_03: Oh! So you that's fucking turning around for Fanny now.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: So you skillfully dodge the bugbear warrior.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: And now it's your turn.
- 29:20SPEAKER_03: I keep running.
- 29:22SPEAKER_03: I don't know what else.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: You can say you might have spells or something.
- 29:26SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 29:27SPEAKER_03: Are you forgetting?
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Did you forget you what it was?
- 29:30SPEAKER_03: Well, it's been hard.
- 29:31SPEAKER_03: I've just relived my past trauma.
- 29:34SPEAKER_03: My grandma, she also died in a tragic car accident.
- 29:41SPEAKER_03: I'm going to do invisibility.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Can you read me invisibility just to make sure that works?
- 29:47SPEAKER_03: A creature you t oh fuck.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: So this is one of the things I don't like about DD where it says a creature.
- 29:53SPEAKER_01: Because technically you are a creature.
- 29:54SPEAKER_03: Yes, but can I touch myself?
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't know.
- 29:58SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna mind if a fanny touches herself, Liam.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna make a ruling as the DM on this one, and I'm gonna say you can use invisibility on yourself.
- 30:07SPEAKER_03: Can I touch anywhere?
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you could ta any part of yourself.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: But the thing is, this spell is a concentration spell, so you have to concentrate the whole time you're doing it.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: If anything breaks your concentration, the spelling.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: No, I'm really known for my concentration.
- 30:21SPEAKER_03: Alright.
- 30:22SPEAKER_03: So I'm invisible.
- 30:24SPEAKER_03: I reach out, I touch, I touch my chest, and I disappear.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: They can't see you now.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: And are you wanting to move now?
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: You're invisible?
- 30:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: Right, okay.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: So roll me a stealth roll with advantage.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: Cause I'm gonna say that there's obviously you got like leaves and stuff on the ground, so you could still stand on something.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: What was that one?
- 30:43SPEAKER_03: 16, baby.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: And you have plus four stealth.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: So you can you could roll again to see if you get higher than that, or you just I'm fine.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: You want you want to settle on 20?
- 30:53SPEAKER_03: Oh, I mean, it doesn't matter.
- 30:54SPEAKER_03: It's an advantage.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so it doesn't matter.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: 18.
- 30:57SPEAKER_01: 18 plus 4.
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: So you've got 22.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: They definitely can't find you.
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: I'll quickly just roll up or set uh an investigation for all the I'm clamoring up trees like a cat.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: None of them can find you.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: So none of them at all can find you.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: So you or you just wanted to keep walking through the forest?
- 31:13SPEAKER_03: Well, I climb up a tree like a cat.
- 31:15SPEAKER_03: You climb up a tree.
- 31:16SPEAKER_03: And but then I go from tree to tree.
- 31:18SPEAKER_03: So they're walking below, and I'm what like a monkey.
- 31:22SPEAKER_03: Have you ever seen Planet of the Apes?
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:24SPEAKER_03: Which ones?
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Uh oh, I've seen I've seen the Tim Button ones, I've seen the new ones, I've seen some of the old ones.
- 31:30SPEAKER_03: I've watched them all.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, really?
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: The old ones are alright.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: But the first one's good.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: First one's good.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: There's weird ones where they go back and then the apes are like in like 19.
- 31:40SPEAKER_03: Number two is insane.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: They are they're like, we can read each other's minds and we blow up the world.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and they're all really weird and radioactive and they're underground.
- 31:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: Aye.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: And then there's ones where they go to two apes go back in time.
- 31:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:54SPEAKER_01: To like the 1950s and they're like 1950s celebrities.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: That's pretty it's pretty fun.
- 32:00SPEAKER_03: But so I'm like one of those apes in a tree where it's like you don't even it's it's like I'm a natural up there.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: Before you say what I did, I will say you have to you're for the invisibility, you have to concentrate.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna have to climb through the trees and stuff.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: It will be dexterity, but it'll be dexterity with disadvantage because you're concentrating on something else.
- 32:18SPEAKER_03: I climb up one tree.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:20SPEAKER_03: And I watch them.
- 32:21SPEAKER_03: Because here's the thing: what I'm gonna do, I'm just gonna follow them back to Neverwinter.
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:26SPEAKER_03: But I want to not have them know.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:31SPEAKER_01: So you climb a big ancient kind of tree that's in this forest.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: It's really thack and it's old.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: Naughty.
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and easy to climb up because it's so much it's so big and stuff.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: I and as you're walking.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: What are you laughing at?
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: As you're walking up the tree, you see small, really kind of shiny stones that have just been left at parts of the But I am concentrating, so I'm not letting that distract me.
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 33:03SPEAKER_03: Uh as you Wait, should I take some of these stones?
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: You can pick them up if you want.
- 33:07SPEAKER_01: It's up to you.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is you you're entirely in charge of what happens.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: I pick one up.
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: You pick one up, nothing happens, you're just throwing a very shiny stone now.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: Uh there is more, so they kind of lead almost like a trail, like a breadcrumb kind of trail up the tree.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: Until you see like a part of the tree that's kind of hollowed out, and it's filled with these, it's almost like a bed of these shiny stones in this tree, and there sits a small cat-sized dragon.
- 33:37SPEAKER_03: Whoa! My mom?
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: You're what?
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: No.
- 33:45SPEAKER_03: He's a dragon.
- 33:46SPEAKER_03: I'm a dragon.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: It's like a house cat-sized jacket.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:50SPEAKER_03: You're so you're like I didn't come out this size, Liam.
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but that would be like a fucking cat giving some birthday.
- 34:02SPEAKER_03: So wait, so repeat that.
- 34:05SPEAKER_01: If that was your mother, that would be like a cat giving birth to like a human baby.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 34:11SPEAKER_01: That would be pretty.
- 34:12SPEAKER_03: That cat's fucked, but I would just say there's some babies born premature that are really tiny, and there's some main coon cats that are really big.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: Well, this is like a house cat.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 34:25SPEAKER_03: Mincoon cats are house cats, but that's okay.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: I don't know what that a mincoon is.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: So it's not, it's just a smaller kind of it's a cat that you could easily like pick up, put in your can like put it kind of on your shoulder, kinda.
- 34:37SPEAKER_03: So is the dragon friendly?
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: Uh you can talk to a dragon if you want.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: Hello.
- 34:43SPEAKER_03: Wait, do I just use my normal voice?
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: You can use whatever voice you want.
- 34:47SPEAKER_03: I say, uh Oh my god, hi.
- 34:50SPEAKER_01: So the dragon, I'm gonna have to try and do a voice for the dragon that we've not done before.
- 34:55SPEAKER_03: Do you like um well, there's Spyro, Spyro the Dragon?
- 34:59SPEAKER_01: I don't know what he sounds like.
- 35:01SPEAKER_03: Okay, or um Abba Dragon from Mulan.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: AD Murphy?
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: I feel like that could get me in some hot water.
- 35:08SPEAKER_05: Why?
- 35:09SPEAKER_05: Come on.
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: What can I do for you?
- 35:11SPEAKER_05: Whoa!
- 35:13SPEAKER_03: This is this the Rizzler in dragon cat form?
- 35:17SPEAKER_03: Holy heck.
- 35:19SPEAKER_03: Um, hello.
- 35:21SPEAKER_03: Uh, my name's Fanny.
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: As you can see, I'm a little bit dragon.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can I can see you're a little bit dragon.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: My name is Ruford.
- 35:30SPEAKER_03: Shut the fuck up.
- 35:32SPEAKER_03: Whoa, that's crazy.
- 35:34SPEAKER_03: I had a dog named Rufford.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: Well, that's cool.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: I hope nothing bad happened to that dog.
- 35:40SPEAKER_03: Nothing that he didn't deserve.
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: That seems fair to me.
- 35:44SPEAKER_03: Well, aren't you just a mini Elvis Presley in a tree?
- 35:49SPEAKER_03: I was captured.
- 35:50SPEAKER_03: I just I just made myself invisible and escaped from these guys.
- 35:54SPEAKER_03: Do you have you ever heard of Neverwinter?
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: I I used to be from Neverwinter.
- 35:59SPEAKER_03: You have a slight lisp.
- 36:00SPEAKER_03: Um, that's what's it like?
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: So Neverwinter is a really big city.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: It's a big, massive city, lots of districts.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: You got a real district, you got the shopping district, which is very similar to the retail district.
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: It's almost like you're you're telling me this under pressure.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: I try to work out how to say these what's in the sort of thing.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: Well, uh, how the fuck do you say that?
- 36:27SPEAKER_01: You've got uh you got kind of like the slums, you got the palaces, you got the more kind of suburbs, you par it's all just maintained in a big walled city.
- 36:36SPEAKER_03: And what's the leader like?
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: He's pretty cool.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: He's called Taz.
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: Taz?
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, his name's Taz.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: Pretty cool guy.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: He smokes a lot of weed.
- 36:43SPEAKER_03: You guys have just weed and you call it weed here?
- 36:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:47SPEAKER_01: Is that a problem?
- 36:50SPEAKER_03: Of all the I didn't think that's the one thing that would transfer over so easily.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: Well, there's a lot of lit has made it to this world as well.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: Are you who he's painting?
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: Us.
- 36:59SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, Lit has made it this is just uh me making a DM put Lit has made it into Lit?
- 37:05SPEAKER_01: The band Lit.
- 37:08SPEAKER_03: You gotta stop trying to make lit happen, man.
- 37:11SPEAKER_03: No one knows what you're talking about.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, people do.
- 37:15SPEAKER_03: If you fucking look at it up, what else are they sing a song?
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: They sang it.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: My own worst anime.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: No, sing it.
- 37:24SPEAKER_03: Is it just L I T?
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: Aye, L I T.
- 37:26SPEAKER_03: Where are they from?
- 37:27SPEAKER_01: They officially came out of California.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: And then they moved to Nashville.
- 37:33SPEAKER_05: What year did they get big?
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: They were big in 1999.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: They were on Waptur.
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: 1999.
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: They were in the post-pop uh pop punk boom.
- 37:41SPEAKER_03: Post pop punk boom?
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they were in that.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: No, no, it tools.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 37:47SPEAKER_03: Well, maybe well now that everyone's saying never winter's kind of cool, I'm I'm kind of regretting running away.
- 37:52SPEAKER_03: I just I got captured.
- 37:53SPEAKER_03: They they knocked me unconscious.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, those guards are pretty bad guys.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: I I'm not a fan of them.
- 37:58SPEAKER_03: Well, can you help me?
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: Can I fly?
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: No, you don't have wings.
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: You just kinda I'm asking the dragon.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: Would you know how to fly?
- 38:06SPEAKER_03: I'm clearly part dragon.
- 38:08SPEAKER_01: Do you have wings?
- 38:09SPEAKER_03: Teach me the ways.
- 38:10SPEAKER_03: Well, I feel like I could grow them maybe.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: I would say, how are you a fully grown adult dragon lady?
- 38:18SPEAKER_01: Thing if you're gonna grow wings.
- 38:20SPEAKER_05: I'm not asking how old I am.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: I I I ain't asking, I'm making a point.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: Point is if you were gonna grow wings, you're not thinking you'd maybe have wings by now.
- 38:27SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 38:28SPEAKER_03: But the thing is, up until a few hours ago, I was just pure human and not dragon at all.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: Well, you're always dragon.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: Once you're a dragon, you're always a dragon.
- 38:36SPEAKER_03: And now I have shiny scale skin.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 38:38SPEAKER_03: So you're I'm not that stupid if I'm thinking if I can have suddenly shiny scale skin and one day I can't grow wings.
- 38:48SPEAKER_03: You're being rude.
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: Well, I apologize, little lady.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: Little lady, you're fucking minuscule compared to me.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: I'm perfect size for a pseudo-dragon.
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: A pseudo-dragon?
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: That's what I am.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: So a pseudo-dragon being like um So a pseudo dragon is basically a small magic-resistant dragon.
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: It's usually uh very sought after by spellcasters, and it's seen as a bit of a status symbol.
- 39:14SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 39:15SPEAKER_03: So I can like keep him as a pet.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: You could try and make him a familiar.
- 39:18SPEAKER_03: Hey Ruford, would you like to come with me on my way to Neverwinter and help me rescue my friend?
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, uh I'm trying not to go back to Neverwinter.
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: I I was the familiar of the Chancellor Neverwinner.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: I don't want to go back there.
- 39:31SPEAKER_01: One thing I want out of my life, I want trophies.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: I want status.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: He didn't provide that anymore, and our relationship broke down and I walked away.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: Hey, that seems like really shallow one.
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: Well, that's what I want.
- 39:43SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 39:43SPEAKER_03: I think I that's good that you know you want.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: What if I can promise you Treasure If you promise me trophies, if you promise me status, better hold up that end of the deal, because I'll walk out that door as soon as that deal ain't met.
- 39:56SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 39:57SPEAKER_03: If that's the worst that can happen, that you just walk out.
- 40:01SPEAKER_03: That's fine.
- 40:02SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 40:03SPEAKER_03: Like if you were gonna claw my eyes out, I'd be like, shit, the stakes are high, you know?
- 40:07SPEAKER_03: What do you provide to me by like being around?
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: So it's more just people will be like, uh, she's a high-level spellcaster.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: There's more status more than anything.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: And you've got someone you can talk to.
- 40:18SPEAKER_03: And maybe can I like send them on little uh Yeah, you could be like you could be like, can you go and do this for me?
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: And stuff like that.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: So you basically got like a you got your own Sean in many ways.
- 40:28SPEAKER_03: I asked Grooford what the shiny stones are.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: They're just my collectibles.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: I like nice things, so I want to be surrounded by nice things.
- 40:34SPEAKER_03: Well, baby, pack them up because we're going to never winter.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: That's a long journey.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: That's about a six-hour journey there.
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: We're talking about to get the never winter.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: We'll need a ride.
- 40:42SPEAKER_03: Well, I do know the thing I just escaped from.
- 40:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 40:46SPEAKER_03: But do you think I could go back and they wouldn't lock us away?
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: They might.
- 40:49SPEAKER_01: I also saw a herd of giant goats heading towards the mountains over there.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: You could maybe go and tame one of them if you wanted.
- 40:56SPEAKER_03: That's insane.
- 40:57SPEAKER_03: It took you this long to mention the giant goats.
- 41:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, let's do that, Ruford.
- 41:03SPEAKER_03: Um, pack up your stones, get on my shoulder, because baby, I'm snap I'm smelling a road trip.
- 41:09SPEAKER_01: Okay, so he jumps on your shoulder, he's got his cup, he only took a couple of his stones.
- 41:13SPEAKER_01: You can see that he feels that he's gonna get bigger and better things now.
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: So he's taking a couple of I put a couple stones in my pocket too.
- 41:20SPEAKER_01: So he he gets he's on your shoulder and he's pointing you towards the direction of the big kind of there's like a you're heading towards like a kind of mountain kind of range, and you see uh a pack of kind of wild giant goats just kind of grazing on the grass in front of you.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: So you could go over and try and do something.
- 41:37SPEAKER_03: Are there those crazy colours?
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: So some of them are like yellow kind of normal kind of goat colours, and then there's bigger ones, so like kind of almost like an electric kind of blue colour.
- 41:46SPEAKER_03: I go to the blue one.
- 41:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: He's that's the biggest one, okay?
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: So you go over to it.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: Uh it's very wary of you.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: It's a bit like what's going on here.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: Like, so it's you can tell it's on guard.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: I bow down in front of it.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it kind of stamps one of its hoofs.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: I give it a look like just fucking stop it.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: Just dumb.
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: You grew up on a farm, so would this work well go?
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: So it's like, okay.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: It's been like, I'll not do that again.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: I won't stamp my hoof.
- 42:17SPEAKER_03: I kinda I I shift my eyes so I I look at the ground and back at the go as to as just if to say, get down.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: Get down, okay.
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: And move it walks towards you.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: It doesn't get down, but it does start to walk and try and overtake some of your space.
- 42:32SPEAKER_02: I don't move.
- 42:33SPEAKER_01: Alright, okay.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: So he takes it all step closer, but you can see now he's not as sure in this step if he's a bit like whoa, she's not backing down here.
- 42:41SPEAKER_02: I raise both my hands above my head, and it makes the goat think that you're taller than you are.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: Right, okay.
- 42:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:47SPEAKER_01: So he's like, oh, he stops dead and he's like, oh wow, this thing's pretty big.
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: I don't move.
- 42:52SPEAKER_01: He starts to back it up.
- 42:53SPEAKER_01: He takes one half step back.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: I look at the ground again, as if to say, I want him on his to sit down.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: Back legs can be straight, front legs all curled up so that I can jump off.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: Starts to kind of bend his front legs.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: He's not put his back legs entirely out straight and he's he's trying to just lock eyes.
- 43:10SPEAKER_03: I I lock eyes with him.
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: Alright, okay.
- 43:12SPEAKER_03: Because that means we're bonded.
- 43:14SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 43:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:15SPEAKER_01: And then he lowers his back legs and he just kind of he's sat perfectly for you to jump on his back.
- 43:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, perfect.
- 43:22SPEAKER_03: Or he's lying down.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: If he was sat, he's I don't know a lot about goats.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: Um but and I and I use one of his horns to swing me up over top, and referred the dragon flies down and settles uh beside me.
- 43:40SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: So now you're on the goat and you're wanting to head to Nova Winter.
- 43:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:45SPEAKER_03: Is he like horse big?
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: I would say bigger than a cow, smaller than an elephant.
- 43:50SPEAKER_03: I reach back behind me, trying to, you know, and I hit smack his butt.
- 43:55SPEAKER_03: I say, Yeehaw.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: Uh he reels up and gives.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: A goat noise.
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: I'll edit under goat noise.
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: Perfect.
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: He does that and then he starts charging off and you're directed to Neverwinter.
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: I'm going to say there's been a lot of going on already, so I'm going to say you get there without any incident.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: Perfect.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: But when you arrive.
- 44:16SPEAKER_03: Should we stop and get something to eat on the way?
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: You can if you want.
- 44:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we don't have to go into it, but just know that I'm fed.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: You're well fed, well relatively well rested.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: You arrive at Neverwinter, and the scene that is before you is absolute chaos.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: There's people running around, there's guards shouting.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: They're in the sewer.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: One of them ran into the sewer.
- 44:35SPEAKER_01: There's other ones being like prisoner escape, prisoner escape coming from a tower.
- 44:39SPEAKER_03: And I go, So did Bill Futler and Don Don Draper?
- 44:45SPEAKER_03: Man, I need to know their names.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: Bill Futler and Don Boltry.
- 44:47SPEAKER_03: Is this because of Bill Futler and Don Boltry?
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: I can't tell you that, but you could assume.
- 44:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I assume.
- 44:53SPEAKER_03: I go, oh my god, my boys.
- 44:56SPEAKER_01: They're causing chaos.
- 44:57SPEAKER_03: They're causing chaos.
- 44:58SPEAKER_03: And I like say it with a hint of pride in my voice, and I I go to stop any tears from flowing.
- 45:04SPEAKER_01: So you're at this kind of stable kind of bit, and you can see there's like a scarlet running everywhere.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: And then you hear a you see like a the palace where Ruffelt, the pseudo dragon, tells you that's where the ruler is, that's where Taz is.
- 45:19SPEAKER_01: Before you can even think about heading there, you hear like a howl, like a wolf howl.
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: And out of a tower blocks are fully like transformed werewolf.
- 45:29SPEAKER_01: And he looks mad.
- 45:30SPEAKER_03: So the tower.
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: There's so like next to the stables is like a kind of tower, and it goes into like a kind of like the what like what's that bit?
- 45:39SPEAKER_01: Rampards?
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: Is that the bit that built the wall that goes around a kind of castle?
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: Well, we'll call it ramparts and say it's that there's a tower, and out of the tower walks a free from revolves.
- 45:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:50SPEAKER_03: Does it look like anyone I know?
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: You don't recognise it, you just are like, that's clearly a werewolf.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: Is he hot?
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: 17 out of 20.
- 46:00SPEAKER_01: So pretty hot.
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: Honestly, it's one of those things where like, you know, Professor Looping from, you know, I don't want to say Harry Potter, but you're like, werewolf man?
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Pretty hot.
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Do you think I should do anything about it?
- 46:12SPEAKER_01: Well, it looks like he's so he you see already, he's picked up one guard and ripped it in half.
- 46:19SPEAKER_03: Oh fuck.
- 46:20SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 46:21SPEAKER_03: Whoa.
- 46:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: So he's not happy.
- 46:25SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 46:25SPEAKER_01: Uh so the guard?
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: The guard's very not happy.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: The werewolf is extremely not happy.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: And then he's you can see he's looking around, and then you can just see like complete panic descending around around this kind of part of the city.
- 46:38SPEAKER_01: So you can see everybody's panicking.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: People are just running.
- 46:42SPEAKER_01: There's bugbear warriors, there's guards, and it's just chaos.
- 46:46SPEAKER_01: The way towards the castle, he is blocked, the werewolf is blocking it.
- 46:50SPEAKER_03: Isn't anyone else gonna take care of this werewolf?
- 46:53SPEAKER_03: Or do fucking I have to do it?
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: It looks like the guard like you can see that there's people are looking like they're gonna try and like you can see they're like the bugbear warriors are getting like pulling at arms and stuff like that.
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: You can see guards are panicked because you just watched one of them get ripped in half by this thing, so they're all a bit worried.
- 47:11SPEAKER_03: How many spells do I have left of two level ones?
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, two level one spells.
- 47:14SPEAKER_03: How far away is this werewolf from me?
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: Uh it's about I'd say about 15 feet in front of you.
- 47:20SPEAKER_03: Fifteen.
- 47:21SPEAKER_03: Alright.
- 47:21SPEAKER_03: I could even hit him with sleep or an unseen servant.
- 47:27SPEAKER_03: But I feel like my servant's just gonna get ripped in half.
- 47:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that would be a bad assumption.
- 47:32SPEAKER_03: What a bummer.
- 47:33SPEAKER_03: Okay, I'm gonna Are are werewolves immune to sleep spells?
- 47:39SPEAKER_01: Uh no.
- 47:40SPEAKER_03: I would like to cast sleep, please.
- 47:42SPEAKER_01: So he's gonna enroll to I dude.
- 47:44SPEAKER_03: I I look around and I'm like, oh my god, fucking men causing messes wherever they go.
- 47:50SPEAKER_03: I just have to clean everything up.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: So he's failed.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: He's got he is uncompass incapacitated until the next turn.
- 48:01SPEAKER_03: He's uncapacitated.
- 48:04SPEAKER_03: He got fucking chopped, man.
- 48:09SPEAKER_01: You've not double foul until the next turn.
- 48:12SPEAKER_03: Oh, it only lasts one turn?
- 48:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:15SPEAKER_03: I kept skipping over that bit.
- 48:17SPEAKER_01: At which point it must repeat the same.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so he might fail again.
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: He might fail, he might succeed.
- 48:21SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 48:22SPEAKER_01: But it's only a 10, so it's pretty much a he needs to beat a 10, which is like 50 fasty.
- 48:27SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 48:28SPEAKER_03: Well, he's asleep.
- 48:30unknown: Yeah.
- 48:30SPEAKER_03: Panic in the situation.
- 48:32SPEAKER_03: I say, I say, go tie him up.
- 48:34SPEAKER_01: And when you start shouting that everybody turns and looks at you and goes, escape prisoner.
- 48:38SPEAKER_03: Are you fucking how do they know?
- 48:40SPEAKER_03: How would they fucking know?
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: Because the rest of the g the people you escaped from has returned to the city.
- 48:45SPEAKER_03: Like five minutes before me.
- 48:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and to this chaos.
- 48:49SPEAKER_01: And they're like, we've lost every prisoner.
- 48:51SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 48:53SPEAKER_03: Well, I shouldn't have been a prisoner anyway.
- 48:54SPEAKER_03: You could have guys just could have asked me to come.
- 48:56SPEAKER_03: I bet all of us would have said yes because we're stupid.
- 49:01SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 49:03SPEAKER_03: So am I still on my goat?
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: You're still on your goat.
- 49:06SPEAKER_03: I go, This is what you get for helping people.
- 49:09SPEAKER_03: And then I reach back, smack my goat on its little dairy ear.
- 49:13SPEAKER_03: I go, yeehaw.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: You start running?
- 49:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: No, okay.
- 49:17SPEAKER_03: Well, goat start running.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: The goat starts running.
- 49:19SPEAKER_03: Imagine if I was running on the goat, like some sort of treadmill situation.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: The goat starts running.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: What if I stick my legs through the goat like Fred Flynn Stone and just The goat starts running and it takes you to just start running in a random direction to get away from everyone.
- 49:37SPEAKER_01: You end up in the diamond district of this kind of but so it's a lot of kind of men wearing top hats, kind of monocles.
- 49:45SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: A lot of kind of ooh, hello.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: My people.
- 49:49SPEAKER_01: And they are shocked to see a giant goat running through the very kind of nicely kind of lit ornate shops and stuff like that.
- 49:58SPEAKER_01: Everybody's like, what's going on?
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: And they're panicking.
- 50:02SPEAKER_03: I say, look sharp, everybody, because I can say that.
- 50:06SPEAKER_01: Without fear of reference.
- 50:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 50:09SPEAKER_03: You've actually encouraged me.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: So uh the werewolves still asleep.
- 50:14SPEAKER_01: You can hear in the distance, you can hear like the sound of like guards and stuff trying to fall on you.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: So you just what are you wanting to do now?
- 50:20SPEAKER_01: You went to head straight to the palace.
- 50:21SPEAKER_01: So you went.
- 50:22SPEAKER_03: I would love to find a safe house.
- 50:23SPEAKER_01: Safe house.
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: So do you want to talk to Rufford about this?
- 50:27SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 50:27SPEAKER_03: I say Rufford, wake up.
- 50:29SPEAKER_03: He's also asleep.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: He's been asleep the whole time.
- 50:32SPEAKER_03: What's going on?
- 50:33SPEAKER_03: Typical.
- 50:34SPEAKER_03: I say, look, I need somewhere to lie low until I figure out what's going on.
- 50:38SPEAKER_03: I know I'm a prisoner somehow.
- 50:40SPEAKER_03: Um and and I don't want to go to the castle until I know that my boys are safe.
- 50:45SPEAKER_01: Uh you hear a commotion and you see I love commotions.
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: You see a group of rats starting to the soul.
- 50:55SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 50:57SPEAKER_01: They're just going into the sea.
- 50:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they don't even pay attention to that just happens in front.
- 51:00SPEAKER_03: This is just something you're just like, like a thousand rats?
- 51:04SPEAKER_01: Not a thousand rats, like a substantial number, like ten rats.
- 51:08SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 51:09SPEAKER_01: You're like, that's a lot of that's a lot of rats.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: If you saw ten rats just walking across the street, you'd be like, what the fuck?
- 51:15SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 51:16SPEAKER_01: The filter's like, oh, but I don't know.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: He's like, listen, I I don't know, I don't know a way, a safe house.
- 51:22SPEAKER_01: I was a well respected and looked after dragon in this city.
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: So I don't when I concern myself about stuff like that.
- 51:30SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 51:30SPEAKER_01: But what I can say is I do know my way around the palace.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: I know places that people don't go to, places people don't look at.
- 51:36SPEAKER_01: So that's what I know.
- 51:37SPEAKER_01: If you wanted me to take you there, I can do that.
- 51:39SPEAKER_01: But other than that, no Ken Doosville, baby doll.
- 51:42SPEAKER_05: Is Rupert have the soul of a fucking American?
- 51:48SPEAKER_03: Um, I don't even know where he's again.
- 51:51SPEAKER_03: This is like it's like someone was once told about Elvis and then locked away for 50 years.
- 51:58SPEAKER_03: I like it.
- 51:59SPEAKER_03: I like it, and I like what you're doing, and I like it.
- 52:03SPEAKER_03: Um keep go keep it.
- 52:05SPEAKER_03: I would like to I say, okay, fine, let's go to the palace, but in a secret little compartment.
- 52:11SPEAKER_03: Are you being truthful?
- 52:13SPEAKER_03: You're not gonna turn me in.
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: You could sign roll to sense motive if you wanted.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: So you you can't you have no idea what Rufford's motors are.
- 52:22SPEAKER_01: He's told you what you want situation, so you can assume that you could take him at his word.
- 52:27SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 52:28SPEAKER_03: How do we get to the palace safely?
- 52:30SPEAKER_01: Uh Rufford basically says you should touch the goat, the goat is a big kind of distraction.
- 52:35SPEAKER_01: He's like, listen, you want to cause a little bit of chaos in this situation, send this goat running through this city.
- 52:41SPEAKER_01: They're gonna go and chase the goat.
- 52:43SPEAKER_01: They ain't gonna be looking for a couple of cool guys.
- 52:47SPEAKER_03: Oh god, I wish that trusting role had fucking come through.
- 52:52SPEAKER_03: Um that sounds great.
- 52:54SPEAKER_03: I reach my hand back.
- 52:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, I get off the goat.
- 52:57SPEAKER_03: I reach my hand back, give big, big slap on the butt to send the goat flying through town.
- 53:04SPEAKER_03: So the goat goes This is like a bull in a tea shop, but it's a goat in the diamond district.
- 53:09SPEAKER_01: So as it's going, it kicks one of the windows of the shops, diamonds flood out into the street.
- 53:13SPEAKER_03: I once again yell, look sharp.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: You see like crowds of people start because all the diamonds fall out the shop window and onto the street.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: So people are trying to try to pick up the diamonds.
- 53:24SPEAKER_03: The goat So you're telling me the shop had all of its diamonds leaning up against its front window?
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: It was like a shop window, but like a display, so all the displays of the diamonds have fallen out of the street.
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: And then the goat heads towards what looks like a slightly more bohemian kind of district in this city that Rufford says you should start directing you towards the palace saying that you should try and find a way to disguise yourself.
- 53:48SPEAKER_01: How you are you wanting to do that, or you're just like fuck off, Rufford will be fine.
- 53:51SPEAKER_03: Well, obviously it's gonna be more fun to disguise myself.
- 53:54SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 53:54SPEAKER_01: Is it any like do you have any spells or anything that we could work for that?
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: I keep forgetting a magic.
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: There is one spell that I think you're gonna kick yourself when you find it's well, I don't have any second level spells left.
- 54:06SPEAKER_01: You've got one first level spell and it is called Disguise Self.
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: Why isn't it I can say it should be there.
- 54:13SPEAKER_03: Alter self is in level two.
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: Uh it's saying you got it's saying here you got one that should be.
- 54:18SPEAKER_01: If it's not in the book, then that's my fault and I apologize.
- 54:21SPEAKER_03: Oh I want to hear you fully apologize.
- 54:24SPEAKER_01: I'm very sorry, Kate.
- 54:26SPEAKER_01: I forgot to put a spell in your spell book.
- 54:27SPEAKER_03: I want to look like Bed Bug Big Bugbear Ogre.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can do that.
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: Bugbear body.
- 54:34SPEAKER_03: The Bugbear Ogre guy.
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can't.
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: What was his name?
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: Big Red.
- 54:38SPEAKER_03: Big Red.
- 54:38SPEAKER_03: I want to look like Big Red.
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: So you do that, you look like Big Red.
- 54:42SPEAKER_01: People as you're walking by are kind of like you can see people are a bit scaled of you, a bit standoffish.
- 54:47SPEAKER_01: Uh, and you get to the side of the palace, and this is like looks like a trade's kind of entrance, so you can see like parts and stuff outside filled with like kind of wines and like finery and stuff like that.
- 55:00SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 55:01SPEAKER_01: The werewolf in his mind is trying to get because it's dusk now, so the moon's out.
- 55:07SPEAKER_01: The werewolf's trying to get as close to the moon as he can, so he's trying to get to the highest point in this city.
- 55:13SPEAKER_03: Does he think he can like touch the moon or something?
- 55:15SPEAKER_01: If we're gonna say he's got some sort of moon madness, right now.
- 55:21SPEAKER_01: So he's trying to get as close to it as he can.
- 55:23SPEAKER_01: The highest point in the city is the palace.
- 55:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:26SPEAKER_01: So he's heading towards the palace, and you can hear like the sounds of like screams and howls and stuff like that.
- 55:33SPEAKER_01: But you can try and get into this trade's entrance if you wanted, or you could it's up to you what you want to do here.
- 55:38SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, no, I'm hiding away.
- 55:40SPEAKER_01: Hiding away.
- 55:41SPEAKER_03: I've done enough.
- 55:42SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 55:43SPEAKER_01: So as you enter the trade's entrance, you can hear screams and shouts and chaos.
- 55:51SPEAKER_03: Inside the palace?
- 55:52SPEAKER_03: Inside the palace.
- 55:53SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, this whole fucking city.
- 55:56SPEAKER_01: So you can hear people being like, the cook's dead, they've killed the cook.
- 56:02SPEAKER_01: So someone's killed the cook.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 56:05SPEAKER_01: You can hear like you can see like guards flying by, people just everybody's in a panic in this castle because they don't know so they all they know is something bad's in here and they don't know what's going on.
- 56:15SPEAKER_01: As they run past you, they kind of they look at you like you're not meant to be there, but they know who you are.
- 56:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 56:21SPEAKER_01: So they're like, right, maybe he's been sent up here to fucking help or something.
- 56:25SPEAKER_01: So they're like, they just come up, big red, come with us.
- 56:28SPEAKER_01: So they signal for you to come rough them, but they are still running, so you you could chat, you could go with them, you could go a different way, it's up to you.
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: Sugar.
- 56:37SPEAKER_03: Um, I go a different way.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 56:40SPEAKER_01: So you take they run to the right, you take the left.
- 56:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 56:45SPEAKER_01: And this takes you into a kind of spiralling kind of staircase that's slipped by torches and stuff like that.
- 56:51SPEAKER_03: And I say, um, Ruf Ruford, what where do I go?
- 56:56SPEAKER_01: So Ruford goes, Well, what what what do you want to see?
- 56:59SPEAKER_03: I said I want to freaking hide away, dude.
- 57:01SPEAKER_03: I want a safe house.
- 57:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, we can go hide in the dungeons if you want.
- 57:06SPEAKER_01: That sounds like prison.
- 57:07SPEAKER_01: No one looks down there.
- 57:08SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 57:09SPEAKER_01: Listen, people don't like dungeons.
- 57:11SPEAKER_01: You don't like I just said dungeons, and you're like, oh, prison, prison, prison.
- 57:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but that's because that's exactly where I sh there they would lock me if they had me.
- 57:20SPEAKER_01: Either that or I could try and take you to meet Taz, the ruler.
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm a pretty me and Taz get on pretty well.
- 57:26SPEAKER_03: Go down to the dungeons first.
- 57:27SPEAKER_03: And if I don't like it, then we'll go meet Taz.
- 57:29SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 57:30SPEAKER_01: Um I'm I'm just you take the lead here.
- 57:32SPEAKER_03: Could you care like a bit?
- 57:34SPEAKER_01: Listen, I come, I go.
- 57:35SPEAKER_01: This doesn't mean a lot to me.
- 57:37SPEAKER_03: I can bring you trophies if we're making the right moves.
- 57:41SPEAKER_01: I don't see any trophies right now.
- 57:43SPEAKER_03: Duh! Oh my god.
- 57:45SPEAKER_01: Are you telling me I'm meant to do everything in this relationship?
- 57:50SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 57:50SPEAKER_03: We have a relationship.
- 57:52SPEAKER_01: Certainly looks that way right now, and it ain't a good one.
- 57:55SPEAKER_03: You're a piece of shit.
- 57:57SPEAKER_03: Which means I am more in love with you than ever.
- 58:01SPEAKER_03: Um, you're exactly my type.
- 58:02SPEAKER_03: Look, let's go down to the dungeons.
- 58:04SPEAKER_03: I'm taking control, and then I I need to find out if my friends are around there.
- 58:10SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 58:10SPEAKER_01: Uh so you head down to the dungeons, and what you are seeing is there's like smoke, like grey kind of smoke coming up from under the door.
- 58:19SPEAKER_01: You see, and then you see people kind of with hoods and carrying like books, quite looking quite cultish, kind of walking around in the base the dungeons.
- 58:29SPEAKER_01: But they don't it's weird.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: The although they're walking around, they pay no attention to you.
- 58:34SPEAKER_01: It's like they can't see you, like you're not there.
- 58:36SPEAKER_03: Do they bump into me?
- 58:37SPEAKER_01: Uh they c they bump and they kind of walk past you, like they're not they are not aware you're there at all.
- 58:42SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 58:42SPEAKER_01: So you're quite happy to hide it here.
- 58:44SPEAKER_03: I mean, look, this is it sounds creepy as hell, but yeah, maybe that's if they can't see.
- 58:48SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 58:49SPEAKER_01: I are you wanting to investigate around this kind of dungeon?
- 58:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 58:52SPEAKER_01: Okay, so there's three doors.
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: There's the door smokes coming out of there's the door that the I thought it was gonna have to roll, but he just yeah.
- 59:00SPEAKER_01: There's and then there's like a large wooden door, and then there's a large wooden another large wooden door, and under that you can kind of see what looks like almost like a TV is the only way to describe the light that you can see coming out from under this.
- 59:12SPEAKER_01: Like you can see it's like ch constantly like changing colours, m stuff's moving around and stuff like that.
- 59:17SPEAKER_03: Behind two wooden doors.
- 59:19SPEAKER_01: Behind yeah, so there's three wooden doors, one with smoke, one with the lights, and then one just so it's like you can't see anything coming out from under them.
- 59:25SPEAKER_03: Um and I need to pick one.
- 59:26SPEAKER_01: Well, you could if you want to investigate, you don't need to open the doors, you could just stand in this hallway if you wanted.
- 59:31SPEAKER_03: Ah! I'm gonna do a check to see which one detect magic.
- 59:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, that'll be your last spell unless it's detect magic or cantrap.
- 59:40SPEAKER_03: No, it's a first-level spell.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: You're out of spells because you've done disguised self.
- 59:44SPEAKER_03: Is there nowhere for me to take a take a rest?
- 59:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's you could sit in the steels.
- 59:49SPEAKER_01: That's in terms of like somewhere to sit, that's what you can see.
- 59:53SPEAKER_01: That's that would be the only thing.
- 59:54SPEAKER_01: You could sit in the ground, you could sit in the stairs.
- 59:56SPEAKER_03: I open a door.
- 59:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, which one are you opening?
- 59:59SPEAKER_03: The light one.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_01: Okay, so you open that door, and what you see is three hooded people holding books open, and the books are like casting like beams of light to form like a big kind of shivering hologram.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_01: And what you see is is actually what looks like the f a throne room.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_01: You don't know where the throne room is, but what you see happen with this is you see a rat that is being ridden by a spider like a horse run into this throne room, followed by an army of 30 rats, and then Bill Futler, Shawn Michaels, and uh Cobalt, which is like a kind of humanoid dragon, but much more dragon than human person.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_01: He's not got kind of wings, he's just like tail and scaly and stuff like that.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_01: They burst in and Bill Futler points at the person, sat on the throne, and he goes, It's Taz, and you recognise Taz as Taz, the owner of the Chuckle Bucker comedy.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_03: Oh, I forgot that was his name.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_01: I did think you would have caught it.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_03: I it's been so long.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_01: So that's what you see in front of you.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_01: Uh I don't know how you is it.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_01: I run into the ball of light.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_01: You run into it, ball bursts like a bubble, and you fall onto the ground and in front in front of Bell, front of the throne, in front of Taz.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_03: I knew it.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_03: I knew it was gonna transport me.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_03: And is Rufer with me?
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_03: Rufford's on your shoulder.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_01: Oh thank God, that little asshole.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_01: Uh, and that's that's the scene where everybody's now back together, the gun's back together.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_01: So that'll we need to cover that in the next episode.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_03: Whoa.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_03: I'm so glad I opened that door.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_03: Were any were all of the doors gonna lead me there?
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: Uh no, because I I'll be honest with you, I didn't plan for you to go into the dungeon.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_01: So I was making that all up on the spot.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_01: I thought you were gonna fight the werewolf.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_05: No, I'm tired.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_05: I fucking I carry Grammys on the outside of a bag here.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_01: I had a whole subplot where you were gonna turn into a werewolf.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_01: You you didn't go with it, so a dragon werewolf.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_01: Uh, so you'll need to join us in the next episode to see how the gang deals with this one.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_03: The gang.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_03: Oh, I think we're gonna cause some mischief.
