- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Mark Simone Show, Live from ther
- 0:04Speaker 1: Life back studios. WHOA hey, a lot to get to
- 0:15Speaker 1: this hour. We'll get to the elections, the primaries last night.
- 0:19Speaker 1: We'll get to President Trump. We'll get to Hormuz, We'll
- 0:22Speaker 1: get to the Carnegie Deli. It's coming back. ABC is
- 0:26Speaker 1: suing the Trump administration. So you got seventy seven days
- 0:31Speaker 1: until the midterm. Seventy seven days from now. It happens
- 0:35Speaker 1: the Florida primaries, Well, you got this crazy socialist who won.
- 0:42Speaker 1: This is this one race. The rest were the normal candidates.
- 0:46Speaker 1: One socialists got defeated everywhere else. But it's good because
- 0:49Speaker 1: it means the civil war continues within the Democratic Party.
- 0:54Speaker 1: The civil war continues there. We'll get back to that
- 0:58Speaker 1: Pete hegxath traveling to Iowa. People are wondering, what the
- 1:05Speaker 1: hell is he doing in Iowa. Pete Heggs at the
- 1:07Speaker 1: Defense Secretary. Probably should be at the Pentagon full time,
- 1:11Speaker 1: but there he was in Iowa.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You know, Governor Knuso, Mary Mundamie, Governor Hulkle, I want
- 1:17Speaker 2: you to listen to that tape.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Wait a minute, wait a minute. It
- 1:20Speaker 1: sounds like you had a sore throat. That's the wrong cut,
- 1:22Speaker 1: that's Tom Holman. I was wondering what happened to his
- 1:26Speaker 1: voice when he sounded like they here's Pete exit in Iowa.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And let me tell you where it really matters. It
- 1:30Speaker 1: really matters in Washington, d C.
- 1:32Speaker 2: When you need allies to stand alongside President Trump and
- 1:36Speaker 2: ensure that our military gets what it needs.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Okay, but what the hell is he doing in Iowa?
- 1:44Speaker 1: What is this all about? Is he running for president?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Is he thinking he'll be a candidate in twenty twenty eight.
- 1:51Speaker 1: If he is, I think he's a little crazy. I mean,
- 1:53Speaker 1: it's not the time for him. And uh, you got
- 1:59Speaker 1: a lot of great candidates. You got jd Vance, you
- 2:01Speaker 1: got Marco Rubio, you got Scott Bessen, you got a
- 2:05Speaker 1: lot of better people in the administration. I mean, actually
- 2:08Speaker 1: has been pretty good. Is Defense secretary? Heavily criticized and
- 2:12Speaker 1: people argue that he's not qualified. But meantime, as Secretary
- 2:18Speaker 1: of Defense, he's pulled off about twenty seven of the
- 2:21Speaker 1: most amazing military operations in history, from the taken out
- 2:27Speaker 1: of the Iran nuclear reactor to Venezuela capturing Maduro. I
- 2:32Speaker 1: mean he's pulled off some of the most unbelievable military operations.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So he's been flawless as far as execution as Defense Secretary.
- 2:40Speaker 1: But but I don't think he's a presidential candidate. What
- 2:45Speaker 1: how is this guy thinking. Let's get back to that
- 2:48Speaker 1: other cut. This was Tom Holman. Hockel, Kathy Hockel, crazy
- 2:52Speaker 1: Governor Kathy Hokeel with her sanctuary state defend the illegals
- 2:58Speaker 1: no matter what. Uh, you know, what Homan is doing
- 3:02Speaker 1: right now is trying to remove the illegals that are murdering, raping, robbing,
- 3:08Speaker 1: And that's what Hokel is fighting. But listen to Homan.
- 3:10Speaker 2: No governor knew some marry mudamie. Governor Hokel, I want
- 3:14Speaker 2: you to listen to that tape of that murder and
- 3:16Speaker 2: listen to that little girl fight for every breath. Listen
- 3:19Speaker 2: to the terror in her voice. This sort of girl
- 3:22Speaker 2: fought to stay alive. Listen to that tape. Then tell
- 3:26Speaker 2: me that you totally justified what you're doing with sanctuary cities.
- 3:31Speaker 1: You can't square that well, I know, but yeah, he's
- 3:34Speaker 1: absolutely right. But they need they need a boogeyman somebody.
- 3:37Speaker 1: They always create a boogeyman. That's how they campaigned, you know.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And Culter, she'll be with us in the next hour,
- 3:42Speaker 1: wrote a book about this. Once. I'll ask her about this.
- 3:45Speaker 1: It goes back to the French Revolution where the liberals
- 3:49Speaker 1: always created some boogeyman we had to go after, and
- 3:52Speaker 1: now it's Ice. You know, Before that, it was you know,
- 3:56Speaker 1: George Floyd's stuff. Before that, it was they always create
- 3:59Speaker 1: every life. Before that, it was white supremacy. Before that,
- 4:03Speaker 1: it was QAnon, but nobody knew what the hell QAnon
- 4:07Speaker 1: was some chat group on the Internet. And then before
- 4:10Speaker 1: that it was the the alt right. You had to
- 4:12Speaker 1: fear of the alt right. Nobody knew what the alt
- 4:15Speaker 1: right was the Tea Party. Before the Tea Party was
- 4:18Speaker 1: a handful of senior citizens with Pickett signs. But they're
- 4:22Speaker 1: doing it now with Ice. It's this evil boogeyman that
- 4:25Speaker 1: do we have to stand up to. So it's not
- 4:28Speaker 1: going to work. It just won't. And Hoko, as we mentioned,
- 4:35Speaker 1: has agreed to debate Bruce Blakeman. I think she'd been
- 4:38Speaker 1: putting it off, avoiding it, ducking the debates. I think
- 4:41Speaker 1: the reason she finally caved and agreed is she's looking
- 4:43Speaker 1: at the polls, Blakeman was twenty five points behind, then
- 4:46Speaker 1: he was twenty points behind, then he was fifteen, then
- 4:49Speaker 1: he was ten. Now he's five or six points behind.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So she's agreed to debate him. The catches. It's going
- 4:55Speaker 1: to be on New York One, which is the least
- 4:59Speaker 1: watched the station in the world, very few viewers, and
- 5:02Speaker 1: the other catches it's the most left wing biased. It's
- 5:05Speaker 1: Errol Lewis, very nice guy, but the most left wing
- 5:09Speaker 1: biased guy in the world, and all the all the
- 5:12Speaker 1: New York One political reporter is very very left wing.
- 5:16Speaker 1: So that's coming. They haven't set a date yet. Hey,
- 5:19Speaker 1: Straight of Horne Moose, President Trump putting out a map
- 5:24Speaker 1: where it says instead of Straight of Hormose, it says
- 5:26Speaker 1: New US Territory. Now this is just to irk these Iranians,
- 5:32Speaker 1: these crazy lunatics running things there, hiding in their cave.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Straight Oh hor Moose is partially open. As you said yesterday,
- 5:41Speaker 1: about nine million barrels a day are moving through the
- 5:43Speaker 1: Straight of hor Moose every day. It's usually twenty million,
- 5:46Speaker 1: but it's nine million barrels a day right now. That's
- 5:48Speaker 1: why the price of oil really has not spiked at all,
- 5:51Speaker 1: it's gone up a little, but it hasn't spiked. It's
- 5:54Speaker 1: eighty five dollars right now. Now here's the bad news Russia. Well,
- 5:59Speaker 1: actually it's not totally bad news. Intelligence shows that Russia
- 6:05Speaker 1: is now shipping drones, missiles, explosives to Iran, trying to
- 6:11Speaker 1: restock Iran, trying to help resupply them, and more than
- 6:17Speaker 1: two dozen Russian ships, many of them under sanctions. They're
- 6:22Speaker 1: not supposed to be traveling, but they crossed the Caspian
- 6:25Speaker 1: Sea from Russia. You can take the Caspian Sea and
- 6:28Speaker 1: end up on the north coast of Iran. This is
- 6:31Speaker 1: nowhere near the Strait of Hormusk, but they're going to
- 6:33Speaker 1: the north coast of Iran and dropping off this stuff.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Israeli intelligence shows this, Our intelligence shows this. So Iran's
- 6:42Speaker 1: getting drone components and small arms ammunition from Russia. Now,
- 6:48Speaker 1: the good news about this, it means because normally they
- 6:50Speaker 1: would make this stuff themselves, they could manufacture their own
- 6:53Speaker 1: it means we took out all their factories and all
- 6:56Speaker 1: their facilities, so they're not able to make it anymore. Now,
- 6:59Speaker 1: the good news is, in the last round of bombing,
- 7:04Speaker 1: we took out all the railroads, so it's not going
- 7:07Speaker 1: to be easier for them to transport this stuff. I mean,
- 7:10Speaker 1: it'll have to come by truck. But we did take
- 7:14Speaker 1: out a lot of stuff, a lot of infrastructure. All
- 7:16Speaker 1: their railroads are gone, so it's not going to be
- 7:19Speaker 1: so easy for them. Hey, Letitia James, the crazy, crazy,
- 7:26Speaker 1: dirty Attorney General going after political opponents. A lot of
- 7:32Speaker 1: people are going after her. Now, there's a New York City.
- 7:34Speaker 1: It's supposedly a charity. It was set up, set up
- 7:41Speaker 1: to supposedly be a charity, but it looks like it's
- 7:45Speaker 1: some dirty political slush fund. It's right under her nose.
- 7:49Speaker 1: She's doing nothing about it. New York Post huge story
- 7:53Speaker 1: about it. It's the West Harlem Development Corporation and they've
- 7:57Speaker 1: put one hundred million dollars into it, but it looks
- 8:00Speaker 1: like it's all going to political cronies. It's all. It's
- 8:04Speaker 1: supposed to be a nonprofit helping the community, and it
- 8:07Speaker 1: looks like the money is all going to patronage Favors.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Bribes the New York Post, demanding that she look into this.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Why isn't she doing anything? It's right under her nose.
- 8:19Speaker 1: She's doing nothing about it. This organization is stuffed with
- 8:23Speaker 1: a bunch of anti Israel mom Donnie cronies. It's a
- 8:27Speaker 1: poster child for government waste and fraud. Letitia James has
- 8:31Speaker 1: been told over and over again about it, not investigating,
- 8:35Speaker 1: not doing anything about it. Again, it's just a patronage machine.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Absolutely awful that she's not going after it. Hey, you know, Harvard,
- 8:46Speaker 1: Harvard has become one of the most disgusting places on
- 8:50Speaker 1: earth from the anti Semitism. This university once had an actual,
- 8:57Speaker 1: an actual Nazi chapter on its campus. Harvard actually did.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And now there's a big lawsuit against Harvard because apparently
- 9:08Speaker 1: they have a morgue at Harvard. Believe it or not,
- 9:10Speaker 1: there's a morgue there. They have a medical school there.
- 9:14Speaker 1: It's not a great medical school, but the medical school
- 9:17Speaker 1: has a morgue I guess where they do autopsies and
- 9:20Speaker 1: teach that kind of stuff. So the morgue has a
- 9:22Speaker 1: lot of corpses that are apparently donated to Harvard. But
- 9:28Speaker 1: it turns out the Harvard morgue, the morga manager, was
- 9:33Speaker 1: unloading these corpses on the black market for a profit.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So the school got sued like crazy over it. I
- 9:41Speaker 1: mean it's a really ghoulish thing. But Harvard is just
- 9:44Speaker 1: one of the ugliest places in America, and apparently they're
- 9:48Speaker 1: going to settle the suit for fifty three million dollars
- 9:52Speaker 1: a Boston judge to prove the settlement. Harvard paying fifty
- 9:56Speaker 1: three million to just get rid of this because it's very,
- 10:00Speaker 1: very embarrassing for them and they don't need any more embarrassing.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You know, a boy that Penn State cocaine ring. It's
- 10:07Speaker 1: a bunch of students, like eleven students put together a
- 10:11Speaker 1: cocaine ring. You know, in any college, I'm sure there's
- 10:14Speaker 1: somebody selling cocaine. You know, some students on campus selling drugs,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but this was a very organized ring. You know, Penn State.
- 10:23Speaker 1: These guys should be in a business school there, because
- 10:25Speaker 1: they put together a hell of a cocaine ring and
- 10:28Speaker 1: you were talking massive amounts of money, an enormous ring.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So eleven of them were caught and arrested with one
- 10:34Speaker 1: other person. There's a twelfth person arrested. It turns out
- 10:36Speaker 1: it was one of the fathers who when he found
- 10:39Speaker 1: out about this, the father jumped in and tried to
- 10:41Speaker 1: cover up everything for these students. Apparently it was part
- 10:45Speaker 1: of a fraternity, but they built an enormous cocaine ring
- 10:50Speaker 1: on campus. You know, it's supposed to be a fraternity
- 10:54Speaker 1: and they turn it into breaking bad. I mean, these guys,
- 10:57Speaker 1: just awful stuff going on there. So, hey, Florida, you
- 11:02Speaker 1: got a socialist who's won there. You know, most of
- 11:06Speaker 1: the socialists were defeated, but one got through, and that's
- 11:08Speaker 1: only because she was running against that creepy Vinman. But
- 11:12Speaker 1: she's an Agnes. Is that her name, Agnes Nixon or no,
- 11:17Speaker 1: that's the soap operariter Agnes Nixon here. But listen, it's
- 11:22Speaker 1: just a crazy, screaming socialist, a shadow of it. Down
- 11:28Speaker 1: organized people beat big Man. So but again you got
- 11:36Speaker 1: to have Antie Nixon's your name, Angie, heavy Cuban population,
- 11:40Speaker 1: they're not voting for any socialists down there. So hey,
- 11:44Speaker 1: we reported last hour the Carnegie Deli is reopening. If
- 11:50Speaker 1: you listen to some news it says rumor, it's not
- 11:53Speaker 1: a rumor. It's reopening. Check out my instagram you can
- 11:56Speaker 1: see the picture of the new one. It's actually you
- 11:58Speaker 1: can walk over to fifty third and seventh you can
- 12:00Speaker 1: see it being built. The sign has gone up. It
- 12:04Speaker 1: actually is for real. It's opening the Carnegie Deli. Strangely enough,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it'll be it not in its original location. You remember
- 12:11Speaker 1: where the Carnegie was. That's now I think a luggage
- 12:14Speaker 1: store somebody else is in there. So they've taken the
- 12:17Speaker 1: old site of the stage delicatess in their long time rival,
- 12:21Speaker 1: and they will open there. I mean, listen, it's, it's,
- 12:24Speaker 1: it's and it's. The two people owned the Carnegie Deli
- 12:28Speaker 1: was Leo Steiner and Milton Parker. And Leo was the
- 12:32Speaker 1: colorful guy you always saw on television and they used
- 12:35Speaker 1: him in a lot of TV commercials. Milton Parker was
- 12:37Speaker 1: like a it was a nice guy, but he was
- 12:40Speaker 1: like the it looked like a deli owner, like a
- 12:42Speaker 1: real deli owner. And his family. Marion Parker, the daughter
- 12:47Speaker 1: who's done an excellent job with the whole place. She's
- 12:50Speaker 1: the one reopening this. So it's the original family. Hopefully
- 12:54Speaker 1: everything is as good as it was. Hopefully it looks
- 12:56Speaker 1: the same. It had that look, you know, those celebrity
- 13:00Speaker 1: pictures all over the walls. I mean the whole place,
- 13:05Speaker 1: every inch of every wall was a celebrity picture autographed
- 13:08Speaker 1: to the Carnegie. But it was all the old old celebrities.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I remember going there once with Don Rickles and he's
- 13:13Speaker 1: walking along pointing to every picture. He's going dead dead
- 13:17Speaker 1: dead dead dead. Oh this guy's alive then dead to
- 13:22Speaker 1: everybody in the pictures is dead. So but it was.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It was a wonderful place, and I believe it or not.
- 13:28Speaker 1: If you went back to late eighties early nineties, it
- 13:31Speaker 1: was the show business hangout late at night, started about
- 13:35Speaker 1: eleven o'clock, the big front table. There was everybody. It
- 13:39Speaker 1: was big famous people appearing in town or a lot
- 13:44Speaker 1: of celebrities would show up. We'd all I would sit
- 13:46Speaker 1: with them all at this big front table and we'd
- 13:48Speaker 1: sit there talk until four in the morning.
- 13:50Speaker 2: It was.
- 13:51Speaker 1: In fact, that's why Woody Allen recreated that in his
- 13:55Speaker 1: movie Broadway Danny Rose, where he did the front table
- 13:58Speaker 1: Carnegie Deli just like as like it really happened, but
- 14:01Speaker 1: it'll reopen. You can't do that stuff anymore because there's
- 14:04Speaker 1: no more celebrities that everybody. Nobody knows who anybody is anymore.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You could have a big star to twenty somethings, but
- 14:11Speaker 1: over thirty five they don't know who he is. Then
- 14:14Speaker 1: there's big stars for people over fifty if you're twenty five.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I have no idea who the guy is. So it's
- 14:18Speaker 1: not like the good old days. But the Carnegie is
- 14:21Speaker 1: coming back. I no word on when it will open.
- 14:24Speaker 1: One report says late September. But if you walk by there,
- 14:28Speaker 1: it's coming along. The whole front is up. Take take
- 14:30Speaker 1: a look at my Instagram. You can see a picture
- 14:32Speaker 1: of what it looks like. Mark Simone NYC at Instagram.
