- 0:02Speaker 1: Welcome into Off the Bench, presented by all star Toyoda.
- 0:06Speaker 2: At your home risk.
- 0:08Speaker 1: We're bringing you to school sports talking so with Jacob
- 0:14Speaker 1: Hester and it might even live from the Haunting Studio.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Old here's Jacob Hester.
- 0:43Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in Off the Bench our three
- 0:48Speaker 3: from right here in the Raising King Studio. And yeah
- 0:53Speaker 3: you heard it. That's not Jake's voice, it's my voice
- 0:57Speaker 3: because there's a tripod. What once was four war is
- 1:01Speaker 3: now stronger with three?
- 1:04Speaker 2: Is that true? Taylor laundrybody?
- 1:06Speaker 4: I think, I mean, I think we're doing pretty good.
- 1:08Speaker 5: The Gordon mccurtin live read was really good. Yeah, and
- 1:12Speaker 5: we had theming to our would you Rather Wednesday? Which
- 1:15Speaker 5: was really fun.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Absolutely, I think we nailed it. The Halloween things pretty good.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I think we got at least one more week of it,
- 1:21Speaker 3: maybe two, two more weeks.
- 1:24Speaker 5: It is Halloween on a Friday Friday.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Wow?
- 1:29Speaker 3: You know what? The thirty first backwards is thirteen?
- 1:34Speaker 4: Whoa Friday thirteenth? Wow backwards?
- 1:37Speaker 2: I just got chills.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Might be even more cursed.
- 1:41Speaker 3: All right, guys, are you all ready to Let's take
- 1:44Speaker 3: a look around the country, not just in our little bubble.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Let's not just look at LSU. Let's not just look
- 1:51Speaker 3: at the Saints. Let's expand our horizons a little bit,
- 1:55Speaker 3: just a little crop dusting sports. What do you say
- 1:59Speaker 3: to my my favorite song? Mmmm? All right, I guess
- 2:06Speaker 3: right now, it's kind of baseball season. It's October. October
- 2:09Speaker 3: baseball season is underway.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Uh.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I haven't been as locked in as i'd kind of
- 2:15Speaker 3: like to be during the week's kind of busy with
- 2:17Speaker 3: you know, dance, gymnastics, uh, coaching, flight football, watching football,
- 2:24Speaker 3: breaking down film.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Last night, the Dodgers.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Take Game two in Milwaukee and they lead the NLCS
- 2:32Speaker 3: two to nothing. Now heading back out to LA for
- 2:35Speaker 3: Game three. Their pitcher, I'm gonna try to say his name.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Brewers pitcher Nope, Dodgers Oh oh okay.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yoshinobu yama Matto nailed nailed it. Yoshinobu Yamamato a complete game,
- 2:55Speaker 3: one hundred and eleven pitches in a complete game, seven strikeouts,
- 2:59Speaker 3: three hits, given only one run, and retired the final
- 3:03Speaker 3: fourteen batters of the game. So you know what, I
- 3:06Speaker 3: was looking up what people were talking about. One of
- 3:08Speaker 3: the best pitching performances, and like Major League baseball history,
- 3:12Speaker 3: playoff history. Yeah, pretty decent. This comes off of Blake
- 3:16Speaker 3: Snell when eight innings in game one and then Yamamato
- 3:19Speaker 3: goes a complete game in game two. So you know
- 3:22Speaker 3: what I think they're they got. I guess they got
- 3:24Speaker 3: a pretty good pitching over there. So anyway, the Dodgers
- 3:27Speaker 3: leading the Brewers, and nobody can be happier about this
- 3:31Speaker 3: than Palmer just laughing over their grave right now.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Is he wants evil to win in this situation?
- 3:38Speaker 2: He does.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Yeah, And apparently Brewers not cheating. They still are.
- 3:45Speaker 4: You have to wait for them to play at home,
- 3:47Speaker 4: is what.
- 3:47Speaker 6: Yeah, like Hunt things that they're cheating at home because
- 3:50Speaker 6: they were they win at home?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Were they don't know as they're going for game three,
- 3:54Speaker 3: they're going back out to La. Okay, Yeah, so I'm
- 3:57Speaker 3: not looking.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Good for the brute.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I don't get that that theory. Hunt's like, well, they're winning,
- 4:02Speaker 5: they don't have good players. I'm like, no, no, no, no
- 4:04Speaker 5: no no. If you're winning, if you have one of
- 4:07Speaker 5: the best records in baseball, you have good players. They
- 4:10Speaker 5: may not be mainstream. Actually, yeah, you have good players.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Here we all just agree on like he's a hater.
- 4:17Speaker 3: No, that we don't like the Dodgers, right, No, I
- 4:20Speaker 3: don't like doesnody like Dodgers except for Dodgers.
- 4:23Speaker 5: I don't like any LA team, any sport.
- 4:26Speaker 4: I mean, they just really do feel like the evil
- 4:28Speaker 4: in the league to me, the.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Evil Empire, is it. Do you think people think of
- 4:32Speaker 3: the Kansas City Chiefs in the same light?
- 4:35Speaker 2: I mean maybe, but okay, before the.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Super Bowl last year, maybe yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Because because I really didn't know people hated the Chiefs
- 4:43Speaker 3: like they did, because I was always a fan of
- 4:45Speaker 3: the Chiefs because I like, I like good quarterback play,
- 4:47Speaker 3: I like kind of dominance.
- 4:48Speaker 2: But I don't know, the way the Dodgers seems a
- 4:51Speaker 2: little slimy thing.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe not slimmy, maybe that's not the word.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Just I mean, they just have so much money and
- 4:56Speaker 6: they spend it on like pitchers from Japan that do
- 5:00Speaker 6: really well.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Is this true?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Somebody in the chat said the Dodgers payrolls two hundred
- 5:04Speaker 3: million dollars more than the Brewers.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure it's more.
- 5:07Speaker 6: I don't know if that that sounds about right. Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 6: million spend a lot of money.
- 5:12Speaker 5: I mean, think about how much show hey alone, mates.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Wish I wish I'll play for Dodters.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Them and like the Mets, spend a lot of money too.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of state state taxes though a lot
- 5:24Speaker 3: of a lot of taxes going back to California.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 6: Other side though, the Alcs, the Mariners, the Blue Jays.
- 5:32Speaker 6: One of the fan favorites, the Big Dumper. He does
- 5:36Speaker 6: have a home run in Game one, so the Mariners
- 5:40Speaker 6: to me, okay, this feels like the Cinderella for me.
- 5:44Speaker 6: So I'm rooting for the Mariners in this situation.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Like the Brewers, I would like for them to win,
- 5:49Speaker 4: just to p his hunt off. But I am rooting
- 5:52Speaker 4: for the.
- 5:53Speaker 6: Mariners because of America, because of America.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Well, not forget their team, like half the time, like
- 6:00Speaker 5: they should never do anything true like.
- 6:03Speaker 6: Recently in recent history, they really haven't. But yeah, they
- 6:08Speaker 6: lead the Blue Jays to zero in the series so far.
- 6:11Speaker 6: They played today in Seattle, so they could take a.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Three to zero lead.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Was their first game?
- 6:17Speaker 3: Was it extra innings or was that the last game
- 6:20Speaker 3: with the last series they were at. Was there a
- 6:23Speaker 3: I think there was one that was extra big stitch
- 6:26Speaker 3: out over here.
- 6:29Speaker 6: There was a really cool double play the other night. Uh,
- 6:33Speaker 6: but I think that was the Brewers game. Yeah, it
- 6:35Speaker 6: was the Brewers game. They had a double play where
- 6:38Speaker 6: there's a pop out in center field. Well it wasn't
- 6:42Speaker 6: a pop out. They thought it was a pop out.
- 6:43Speaker 6: It bounced off the wall straight into the outfielders glove,
- 6:47Speaker 6: so they thought it was a pop out, and they
- 6:49Speaker 6: all tagged, like, they all went back to tag their
- 6:51Speaker 6: base because they thought it was out, so they went
- 6:56Speaker 6: to go tag, but they didn't have to, so they
- 6:58Speaker 6: get the out at home. And then the other guy
- 7:01Speaker 6: had went back to second base to tag, but obviously
- 7:03Speaker 6: he had to go to third base, so the catcher
- 7:05Speaker 6: just touched third and he got him out. So pretty
- 7:08Speaker 6: cool double play. But yes, game, it wasn't in the ALCS.
- 7:14Speaker 6: It was in the Divisional series that the Mariners went
- 7:18Speaker 6: into fifteen innings versus the Detroit Tigers.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Right quick baseball quiz on the defense side of the ball,
- 7:25Speaker 3: who is the four position?
- 7:27Speaker 5: Six? Four?
- 7:28Speaker 4: Three is second base?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Nailed it?
- 7:31Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 7:33Speaker 2: Who's six Taylor?
- 7:35Speaker 5: Six? That would be shortstop credit, Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Nailed it.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Look at us stitchheads.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Hey did you read my mind as you were talking
- 7:46Speaker 5: about the Kansas City Chiefs Evil Empire utap earlier this week?
- 7:52Speaker 5: Why they're involved in it. I don't know, but U
- 7:54Speaker 5: TAP they did research on like penalties and playoff runs
- 7:59Speaker 5: and everything, and they have come to the conclusion from
- 8:01Speaker 5: twenty fifteen to twenty twenty three, a significant slant towards
- 8:06Speaker 5: the Kansas City Chiefs has occurred. Now not total number
- 8:09Speaker 5: of penalties, but like average yards per penalty against the
- 8:13Speaker 5: opposing team has heavily favored the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes was
- 8:17Speaker 5: thirty percent more likely to get a roughing the passer
- 8:20Speaker 5: call in the postseason. And then they looked at like, okay,
- 8:23Speaker 5: let's go look at the Patriots, the old Buffalo Bills
- 8:26Speaker 5: and Dynasty, like all all these teams that have made
- 8:28Speaker 5: these runs, none of them had the same slanted penalty yardage.
- 8:32Speaker 5: So this came out literally two days ago that uh,
- 8:35Speaker 5: you know, people's complaints. UTEP says they're validated. So there's
- 8:39Speaker 5: a research.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Nerds.
- 8:45Speaker 5: They said, the Chiefs are more than.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Okay, so thirty more likely to get a rough in
- 8:50Speaker 3: the passer call in the playoffs versus his opponent or
- 8:53Speaker 3: every other.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Every other quarterback, like the average of the quarterback in
- 8:56Speaker 5: the playoffs.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Mahomes interesting a lot of that. Yeah, it's pretty damning.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Now where there smoke, there's fires certainly. Now, do I
- 9:06Speaker 3: think there's a conspiracy theory, No, do. I think most
- 9:11Speaker 3: of it's probably kind of like style of play, and
- 9:14Speaker 3: NFL says protect these certain quarterbacks little bit more. But
- 9:17Speaker 3: style of play certainly, like he plays tough, he plays around,
- 9:23Speaker 3: and he holds onto it at the last moment, like
- 9:25Speaker 3: that's that's an asset. That's a good thing when you
- 9:29Speaker 3: have a quarterback that can do that. I don't know
- 9:32Speaker 3: if that accounts for thirty percent more though, but I
- 9:37Speaker 3: kind of his antics earlier this year on the sideline
- 9:41Speaker 3: were a little bit.
- 9:43Speaker 6: He's never annoyed me.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Sorry, I mean maybe because he's from like right outside
- 9:50Speaker 3: where I'm from, and I just like dominant players, and
- 9:54Speaker 3: so I like seeing people be dominant in.
- 9:56Speaker 2: A sport that's really hard to even be the right.
- 10:01Speaker 3: So for them to do what they did, I get
- 10:03Speaker 3: the hate because, like I kind of hate the Dodgers
- 10:05Speaker 3: for the same reason. But it's not like the Chiefs
- 10:08Speaker 3: are spending so much more money than there. It's an
- 10:09Speaker 3: equal plane field from a dollars and cent standpoint.
- 10:12Speaker 4: More so, there's caps and yeah, right, yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 3: So I like that a lot better. So if you're
- 10:16Speaker 3: on an equal plane field and just dominant.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I like that.
- 10:19Speaker 5: They didn't they didn't give the exact number like percentages,
- 10:22Speaker 5: but they were saying it just says a significantly higher clip.
- 10:25Speaker 5: They called it judgment call play okay, catch you no
- 10:28Speaker 5: catch all those significantly went in the chiefs favor, like
- 10:31Speaker 5: instead of it being a fifty to fifty call. Like
- 10:34Speaker 5: they didn't give a number, but let's say like seventy
- 10:35Speaker 5: percent of them winning their favorite like something like that,
- 10:37Speaker 5: they were saying, significantly higher they get the fifty to
- 10:40Speaker 5: fifty goals.
- 10:41Speaker 6: So, as someone who was in the NFL, can you
- 10:44Speaker 6: confirm that there are script writers?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 10:48Speaker 4: Yeah, it's script for you.
- 10:50Speaker 5: It's actually a wrestling Yeah, you think about it.
- 10:52Speaker 4: You were part of the script at one point.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Yeah, there was like a there's a ready every game
- 10:58Speaker 3: we went to a meeting, went to the table kind everything.
- 11:01Speaker 4: That's right, you're gonna go down, that's right, it's gonna
- 11:04Speaker 4: come in and just mm hmm.
- 11:06Speaker 2: You know how I can wrestling.
- 11:07Speaker 3: It's like when someone's on top of you and like
- 11:09Speaker 3: you like they say they pinched their leg or something
- 11:11Speaker 3: when they're about to run out, like that's what that's
- 11:12Speaker 3: where all the signals are. But we talked about it's
- 11:14Speaker 3: like signaling coverage, just that you.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Signaling the other team what to do.
- 11:19Speaker 3: It's all three rehearsal. Yeah, they're not even live games.
- 11:23Speaker 3: It's actually pre.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Right and they're flipping the script on the Chiefs this season.
- 11:29Speaker 2: What do they call it? What did John Cena do
- 11:31Speaker 2: when they turned bad?
- 11:31Speaker 5: Turn?
- 11:32Speaker 4: He hel turn hill, He'll turn They've been the heel
- 11:36Speaker 4: from me.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I do have another one uh here. I kind of
- 11:42Speaker 3: contemplated doing this because it is like the Saint's rival,
- 11:44Speaker 3: but I kind of want to just like tip a
- 11:46Speaker 3: cap to b Jhon Robinson right now, who I thinks
- 11:49Speaker 3: might be the best football player in the NFL right now.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Like we kind of go back every week, it's gonna
- 11:53Speaker 3: be a little bit different earlier a couple of weeks ago.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Is Josh Allen uh B. John Robinson's kind of on
- 11:58Speaker 3: a historical start to the season. The dude is on
- 12:01Speaker 3: pace right now, And I know pace is kind of
- 12:02Speaker 3: a weird thing, but it just kind of tells you
- 12:04Speaker 3: how good he's playing right now. He's on pace for
- 12:07Speaker 3: nearly thirteen hundred and fifty rushing yards and eleven hundred
- 12:11Speaker 3: and fifty receiving yards.
- 12:13Speaker 2: If he was.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Able to accomplish that, he would be I think the
- 12:16Speaker 3: fourth all time person to have one thousand yards rushing
- 12:19Speaker 3: and receiving in the same year we got Roger Craig Marshall,
- 12:23Speaker 3: Fought and Christian McCaffrey.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Are a part of that list.
- 12:26Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 12:27Speaker 3: So like what he is doing, the like the guy
- 12:30Speaker 3: is incredile. You hear more and more coaches talking about him. No,
- 12:35Speaker 3: like there's good running backs in the NFL. This guy's different.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I don't care who you talk about. I don't know
- 12:40Speaker 3: if it's h James Cooks, if it's Sakwon Barkley, if
- 12:45Speaker 3: it's Dereck Henry, all of those coaches they would trade
- 12:48Speaker 3: one for one, any guy for b John Robbinson, he's
- 12:51Speaker 3: a good. Week one eighteen touches one hundred and twenty
- 12:53Speaker 3: four yards. Week two twenty five touches one hundred and
- 12:55Speaker 3: sixty eight yards. Week three eighteen touches one hundred and
- 12:57Speaker 3: eleven yards. Week four twenty one touches one hundred and
- 13:00Speaker 3: eighty one yards In this past week. Week five twenty
- 13:03Speaker 3: five touches two hundred and thirty eight yards total.
- 13:07Speaker 2: The guy is a mont stuff.
- 13:09Speaker 4: He's playing his house off.
- 13:10Speaker 5: To me, there's a clear top three as far as
- 13:12Speaker 5: like running backs go, like it's jon it's Jamier Gibbs,
- 13:16Speaker 5: and it's Jonathan Taylor as far as this year goes. Yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 5: those guys are face off. It's like a lot of
- 13:21Speaker 5: people have talked about, Oh, you know the Eagles offense
- 13:24Speaker 5: takeaway touches yards per Carrie for starting running backs Saquon
- 13:29Speaker 5: Barkley lowest in the league.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I'm so fed up with the Eagles. I'm glad. Yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 3: I like I like Saquon too. He's like one of
- 13:38Speaker 3: the spots on the Eagles team that I actually like
- 13:40Speaker 3: everything else.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I love Saquon.
- 13:44Speaker 6: He's making me very angry because he's on my fantasy
- 13:46Speaker 6: team and like, I am getting nothing.
- 13:49Speaker 2: You're taking a personally, I am.
- 13:51Speaker 5: I have aj Brown. I'm right there with you.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so funny. I know it getting personal when
- 13:56Speaker 3: it comes to fantasy.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 5: No, separate your emotionals. Separate your emotions.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Not a good season for me. It's making me very angry.
- 14:03Speaker 5: One more quick one if you guys want it. Five
- 14:07Speaker 5: LSU baseball team or head to the White House upcoming
- 14:10Speaker 5: this coming Monday. They're gonna be there to well celebrate
- 14:13Speaker 5: their national championship season.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Excited.
- 14:16Speaker 5: I would have thought they would have already done this,
- 14:18Speaker 5: but they They're going to be at the White House
- 14:21Speaker 5: on Monday.
- 14:21Speaker 6: The most stitchhead show on here, that's away. I mean,
- 14:25Speaker 6: we were pumping hell a baseball propaganda.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I mean we did send Jay Johnson a steak.
- 14:30Speaker 4: We did, just Sam, I did make the trip up there.
- 14:33Speaker 3: I heard that when we heard, we all heard he
- 14:35Speaker 3: was just eating like Taco Bell. He didn't have time
- 14:37Speaker 3: right now. He said, Nope, can't do it. We can't
- 14:40Speaker 3: let this happen.
- 14:40Speaker 4: No, he needs a stake.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I mean solely, we're pretty much to show that helped
- 14:46Speaker 3: him win. They win it all.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Yeah, we fed and fueled him.
- 14:49Speaker 5: Like Jay is not in as good of a mood
- 14:51Speaker 5: with Taco Bill as he is with a a state.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Right like that.
- 14:54Speaker 3: That that changed everything in the locker room, really did,
- 14:58Speaker 3: and they went on the run. When I started doing
- 14:59Speaker 3: the show, Yeah, when I had to start educating Louisiana
- 15:03Speaker 3: on LSU baseball. Hello, welcome for that, Richard.
- 15:09Speaker 5: You got to have a good LSU baseball win loss,
- 15:12Speaker 5: record you started here in June. I mean your your
- 15:14Speaker 5: win loss record. It's probably eighty percent.
- 15:16Speaker 2: It's up there. It's pretty elite, all right. Jall rule
- 15:22Speaker 2: the goat, all right.
- 15:26Speaker 5: That was crop dust and sports.
- 15:27Speaker 3: We're gonna do it every single week, maybe a couple
- 15:29Speaker 3: of times a week, get a pending on what's happening
- 15:31Speaker 3: and around the country out there. All right, that'll wrap
- 15:34Speaker 3: it up. We will come back. We still got a
- 15:36Speaker 3: little bit left to do this hour. We're gonna do
- 15:38Speaker 3: some film study. We're gonna keep talking. Lsu Vandy right
- 15:41Speaker 3: here off the bench, after bench, all right, go to
- 15:47Speaker 3: Russell Pools dot com. Russell pool Company, the name. When
- 15:53Speaker 3: you think of high quality, when you think of custom pools,
- 15:56Speaker 3: when you think of the best pools in Louisiana, and
- 16:00Speaker 3: you don't have to take my word for it, go
- 16:01Speaker 3: to Russellpools dot com. Go to their gallery page, and
- 16:05Speaker 3: even on the homepage they just scroll through all these
- 16:07Speaker 3: you can see their gallery where you can see the
- 16:09Speaker 3: potential of what you can do.
- 16:11Speaker 2: So it depends.
- 16:12Speaker 3: It doesn't matter how extravagant you want it, how basic
- 16:14Speaker 3: you want it, they can do it. And if you
- 16:17Speaker 3: have something in mind, if you've been thinking about a project,
- 16:19Speaker 3: kind of like me. I've been wanted to do it
- 16:20Speaker 3: for a couple of years. Finally gonna pull that trigger.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Just give them a call. They have two landscape architects
- 16:26Speaker 3: right there on staff that they can literally take anything
- 16:29Speaker 3: you're thinking of in your brain. They can draw it up,
- 16:31Speaker 3: they can plan it, they can permit it, they can
- 16:33Speaker 3: build it, they can maintain it. So if you it's
- 16:36Speaker 3: that time and you just want to pull that trigger
- 16:38Speaker 3: on your dream pool, go to Russell Pool Company Russell
- 16:42Speaker 3: Pools dot Com again.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Two thousand and seven, Champs Purple and Gold to
- 17:10Speaker 1: the core. This is off the Bench with Hester and Flynn,
- 17:14Speaker 1: Matt and Rouge is go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Man with.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Me.
- 17:37Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in.
- 17:43Speaker 2: What is this?
- 17:44Speaker 1: It is?
- 17:46Speaker 2: I feel like I'm crushing.
- 17:47Speaker 6: It creep Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Of course this reminds me. You have the other guys
- 17:54Speaker 3: movie Gotta Creep? Yeahta, who's the actor? Michael Keaton just
- 18:01Speaker 3: keeps quoting TLC lines throughout. He's like, I don't know
- 18:06Speaker 3: what you're talking about. I don't understand the rest. Don't
- 18:08Speaker 3: go chasing waterfalls. Don't go chasing waterfalls So what I'm saying,
- 18:13Speaker 3: do you do you realize that you're quoting TLC songs?
- 18:19Speaker 2: All right, here we go. So we haven't done this.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I'd like to kind of do this, maybe not, maybe
- 18:23Speaker 3: not on a weekly situation in the NFL. I also
- 18:27Speaker 3: like to get to it in college a little bit.
- 18:29Speaker 3: There's just so many quarterbacks in the landscape of college football.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Is kind of trust to give an accurate representation, an
- 18:35Speaker 3: accurate list, But I want to get into a little
- 18:38Speaker 3: Flynn's NFL post Week seven QB Power rankings. Now, what
- 18:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna do here is give you kind of my
- 18:47Speaker 3: list of a top ten quarterbacks that I feel are
- 18:50Speaker 3: playing the best in the NFL. And I'm calculating a
- 18:54Speaker 3: little bit of everything. I'm calculating team record, I'm calculating
- 18:57Speaker 3: a little bit of your history, what you've done in
- 19:02Speaker 3: the past, kind of how you're playing recently, and of
- 19:04Speaker 3: course things that have happened recently. If you lose some games,
- 19:08Speaker 3: those are gonna play a big impact in it. But
- 19:10Speaker 3: I want to give you kind of my list of
- 19:12Speaker 3: who I think are playing the best quarterback in the
- 19:16Speaker 3: NFL right now.
- 19:18Speaker 2: So I'm going to start.
- 19:19Speaker 3: So I got a top ten list, but I do
- 19:22Speaker 3: I'll give you honorable mention after this is all done.
- 19:24Speaker 3: All right, We're gonna start with number ten, a second
- 19:26Speaker 3: year quarterback. He just came down this past week to
- 19:30Speaker 3: the super Dome and beat our New Orleans Saints. Mister
- 19:35Speaker 3: Drake May. I really do feel like this kid is
- 19:38Speaker 3: playing well. He is coming on and he's playing better
- 19:40Speaker 3: and better. I talk all the time about the week
- 19:42Speaker 3: the year one to two jump for all players, but
- 19:45Speaker 3: specifically quarterbacks that jump from year one to two can
- 19:49Speaker 3: make a huge difference, and he had sparks moments last
- 19:52Speaker 3: year where he was playing really well. So I feel
- 19:54Speaker 3: like he's kind of put it all together. Josh McDaniel's
- 19:57Speaker 3: a huge benefit for him. Like I know first hand,
- 19:59Speaker 3: Josh Daniels is a really, really, really good offensive coordinator
- 20:03Speaker 3: and can get the best out of guys. I watched
- 20:05Speaker 3: him coaching a rookie Jimmy Garoppolo, Yeah, Garoppolo early on
- 20:09Speaker 3: when I was there.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I was there for a.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Couple of coffee, sure, but I got to be coached
- 20:13Speaker 3: by him, be on the field with him in the
- 20:14Speaker 3: meeting room and his messaging, the way he teaches, the
- 20:17Speaker 3: way he gets that message out is really impressive. So
- 20:20Speaker 3: for a young quarterback, Josh McDaniels is absolutely his best
- 20:23Speaker 3: friend and just playing well. He's big, he's tall, he strong,
- 20:26Speaker 3: he's fast, he's got a big arm, he's accurate, he
- 20:28Speaker 3: has kind of that whole package, and he's got the ability.
- 20:31Speaker 3: He keeps on this path to be one of those
- 20:33Speaker 3: top five guys in the next you know, in the
- 20:35Speaker 3: years to come.
- 20:37Speaker 2: All right. Number nine, a.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Guy that has been slapped on, a guy that people
- 20:42Speaker 3: had written off for a long time. And I think
- 20:45Speaker 3: this is going to be a common theme on this
- 20:47Speaker 3: top ten list. A guy that had been written off,
- 20:49Speaker 3: a guy who's a high draft pick. People thought he
- 20:51Speaker 3: was washed, people thought he was a bust. What does
- 20:54Speaker 3: he do last year? He just plays amazing for the
- 20:58Speaker 3: Minnesota Vikings and then didn't get signed back.
- 21:02Speaker 2: But now he's with the Seattle Seahawks.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Mister Sam Donald has that team humming and Seattle Seahawks,
- 21:08Speaker 3: look out. They are a really good football team.
- 21:12Speaker 5: They are they're dangerous. We saw them.
- 21:15Speaker 3: That's the worst outing performance the Saints have had. So
- 21:18Speaker 3: we saw first and of course we shut ourselves in
- 21:19Speaker 3: the foot a lot. But Sam Darnald, I think think
- 21:21Speaker 3: Seattle's sitting at four and two right now. He's got
- 21:24Speaker 3: i think just over fifteen hundred yards passing currently, eleven touchdowns,
- 21:29Speaker 3: three interceptions.
- 21:30Speaker 5: So a guy that the Vikings. I was kind of.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Surprised the way he played last year with the weapons
- 21:38Speaker 3: that he has, that Minnesota was just okay with riding
- 21:41Speaker 3: JJ McCarthy.
- 21:42Speaker 5: I think it was just because of the season ended, like
- 21:45Speaker 5: unfortunately for Donald last year. Yeah, his worst game was
- 21:48Speaker 5: his last one. But what do you have four thousand
- 21:51Speaker 5: yards last year, thirty five touchdowns.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I mean, yes, he's.
- 21:54Speaker 5: No longer a one year wonder like he did this
- 21:56Speaker 5: a year ago.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's playing well, and so they that's kind
- 21:59Speaker 3: of Seattle's been a kind of place where people have
- 22:01Speaker 3: gone to rehab a litle bit. Gino Smith did it,
- 22:03Speaker 3: but Sam he rehabbed in Minnesota and now he's just
- 22:06Speaker 3: continued to keep playing well well. So Sam Darnald comes
- 22:09Speaker 3: at number nine, Number eight. Jared Goff another guy that
- 22:12Speaker 3: was cast away by the Rams. He goes over to
- 22:14Speaker 3: we know what he's done with the Lions, but just
- 22:16Speaker 3: playing well. He's just a very good complete quarterback, plays
- 22:18Speaker 3: within the system, really well, accurate arm great leader, the
- 22:21Speaker 3: city loves him. Four and two the Lions, and they're
- 22:25Speaker 3: going to be they are going to be a force
- 22:27Speaker 3: being the playoffs. And Jared Goff just a really good player.
- 22:30Speaker 3: He's I think he is going to be a perennial
- 22:32Speaker 3: just top ten guy. I don't know if he's ever
- 22:34Speaker 3: going to creep into that top five situation, but he
- 22:37Speaker 3: is a guy that they love and you can trust.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Number seven, Holy moly, is this a guy that has
- 22:42Speaker 3: come out of nowhere this year and with the coolest
- 22:45Speaker 3: nickname around Danny Dimes. Sorry Giants, you suck Danny Dimes.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Saquon Barkley. They just have a gone to greener pastures
- 22:56Speaker 3: and done really well. The Colts the surprise team of
- 22:58Speaker 3: the league this year. They're like, oh, they're gonna start
- 23:01Speaker 3: Danny Dimes, They're gonna start Anthony Richardson. Well, I think
- 23:04Speaker 3: they made a pretty decent choice. The Colts are five
- 23:06Speaker 3: and one right now. Danny Dimes fifteen hundred two yards,
- 23:10Speaker 3: eight tutters, three picks, not a crazy amount of touchdown passes,
- 23:14Speaker 3: but just operating exactly what they do, doing exactly what
- 23:17Speaker 3: they need to do to win. And this week they
- 23:20Speaker 3: got the charges number six, our guy, Jaden Daniels. I'm
- 23:23Speaker 3: just gonna throw him in there. I know they lost,
- 23:24Speaker 3: I know he had a couple of picks, a little
- 23:26Speaker 3: fumble action. I'm not going to judge him too critically
- 23:29Speaker 3: right now because of just the bad weather that they
- 23:31Speaker 3: did play. I'm not going to say he's got outdueled
- 23:34Speaker 3: by anybody. It's just the team that made the least
- 23:36Speaker 3: out of mistakes, and Washington just had some timely mistakes
- 23:40Speaker 3: right there at the end. They could have iced the game.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Little grip problems from Jayden. But Jayden, I mean, you're
- 23:45Speaker 3: not going to put him out of the top ten
- 23:47Speaker 3: quarterback list. He's dangerous, he's deadly, he's throwing the ball great,
- 23:51Speaker 3: he's seeing the ball great. Uh, seeing the defense great.
- 23:54Speaker 3: So he's always going to be up there. And I
- 23:57Speaker 3: don't I mean barning like some crazy drop off. I
- 24:00Speaker 3: don't see him dropping much further than that. He's only
- 24:03Speaker 3: he's a potential top five, top three guy in the NFL.
- 24:07Speaker 3: All right, Number five, I'm putting him in there because
- 24:09Speaker 3: they started out slow. I chose this team not to
- 24:13Speaker 3: be in the playoffs this year. Patrick Mahomes of course,
- 24:15Speaker 3: Number five and that's I know, I know, and it's
- 24:18Speaker 3: kind of low for him, right this is this is
- 24:20Speaker 3: five is a low ranking for him. He's always thought
- 24:23Speaker 3: of to be top one, top two, top three. They
- 24:25Speaker 3: started out slow, but I guess the Chiefs is still
- 24:29Speaker 3: the Chiefs. Unfortunately, what a great win they had this
- 24:33Speaker 3: past week, and of course they're forcing them on prime
- 24:35Speaker 3: time all the time. Get ready, we're going to see
- 24:37Speaker 3: more of them, more and more prime time. But Patrick
- 24:39Speaker 3: Mahomes I don't really need to explain his stats. I
- 24:41Speaker 3: don't really need to explain who he is or why
- 24:43Speaker 3: he is. It seems like the Chiefs have fined their footing,
- 24:46Speaker 3: They've got their receivers back, they got weapons, Kareem Hunt,
- 24:52Speaker 3: the Chaco they are helping him out as well. So look, it's, uh,
- 24:55Speaker 3: you know, as much if y'all hate the Chiefs, I'm sorry,
- 24:57Speaker 3: but he's really good and he's probably just going to
- 24:59Speaker 3: continue to I move up that list. I got Matthew
- 25:01Speaker 3: Stafford at four. Matthew Stafford is Matthew Stafford the best
- 25:06Speaker 3: arm talent, or one of the best arm talents in
- 25:08Speaker 3: the League's played football at a very very incredibly high
- 25:11Speaker 3: level at a top five at a top ten high
- 25:13Speaker 3: level for you know, about fifty years now, and it's
- 25:16Speaker 3: a guy that just won't go away. Battled injuries in
- 25:18Speaker 3: the offseason, but he is just a dude. He read
- 25:21Speaker 3: you've seen the no look passes, but the guy just
- 25:23Speaker 3: has seen every defense. You can't throw anything at this
- 25:26Speaker 3: guy that he hadn't seen. At number three, I kind
- 25:29Speaker 3: of I was back and forth between Stafford and my
- 25:32Speaker 3: number three pick here justin Herbert, but I gave our guy,
- 25:35Speaker 3: Jacob past the nod on this justin Herbert, and just
- 25:39Speaker 3: basically because of the play he made at the end
- 25:41Speaker 3: of the game this past week, to you know, shaking
- 25:43Speaker 3: off two or three defenders and making a play to
- 25:45Speaker 3: get a first down, get him into a field goal
- 25:46Speaker 3: range and win it. Yeah, they've kind of looked a
- 25:48Speaker 3: little shake in the past couple of weeks, but they
- 25:50Speaker 3: have probably seven eight key guys out with injury.
- 25:53Speaker 2: So the fact that they're.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Still winning game, still relevant and still competing with all
- 25:57Speaker 3: those injuries. He's just impressive man. All make all the
- 26:00Speaker 3: throws in the world. And number two. If I would
- 26:03Speaker 3: have done the rankings last week, he would have been
- 26:06Speaker 3: at number one, but today number two. Josh Allen. Josh
- 26:11Speaker 3: Allen also needs no introduction. The reigning NFL MVP. An
- 26:17Speaker 3: absolute dog, an absolute competitor, and he's pretty much doing
- 26:22Speaker 3: everything by himself. The little help from James Cook's a
- 26:25Speaker 3: little help from kin kid. Maybe you know he got
- 26:27Speaker 3: Kean on Coleman, you got Shakiir making some plays out there.
- 26:30Speaker 3: They got enough weapons to let him kind of take
- 26:33Speaker 3: over a game. But watching him, he's just a guy.
- 26:37Speaker 3: He's just a dude. And early in his career he
- 26:39Speaker 3: always seemed to make like one or two bad plays
- 26:42Speaker 3: to lose games. We didn't know if he could ever
- 26:44Speaker 3: take that next jump to like be the guy to
- 26:46Speaker 3: consistently go and use your talent.
- 26:48Speaker 2: We see the good, but we also see a little
- 26:50Speaker 2: bit of the bad.
- 26:50Speaker 3: He is eliminated, not eliminated, but he has taken most
- 26:53Speaker 3: of that bad out of there. It can absolutely take
- 26:55Speaker 3: over a game and super strong too. Lord, he just
- 27:00Speaker 3: runs over people and he jumps over people. Really fun
- 27:03Speaker 3: to watch. He's kind of like he's playing backyard ball
- 27:04Speaker 3: out there. And number one on my quarterback power list,
- 27:11Speaker 3: Taylor take it easier there, don't go to goat, don't
- 27:13Speaker 3: go to Goodwood.
- 27:15Speaker 5: Baker Mayfield Yeah, he's not.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Gonna need to go to Goodwood?
- 27:19Speaker 3: Does Baker Mayfield the number one the best quarterback in
- 27:22Speaker 3: the NFL as of right now? That has room to change.
- 27:26Speaker 3: But my god, when you get hit after you make
- 27:28Speaker 3: a throw, when you get hit in the pocket and
- 27:30Speaker 3: you stand up talking trash, when you scramble, when you
- 27:34Speaker 3: break fifty five tackles on one play and scramble for
- 27:37Speaker 3: a first down and reach it out? Man, is there
- 27:39Speaker 3: a quarterback in football? I don't care what league that
- 27:42Speaker 3: has the loyalty, has the passion from his teammates and
- 27:48Speaker 3: coaches stufthan Baker Mayfield right now. The most likable guy
- 27:52Speaker 3: in the league. Two people that like offense. Maybe not defense.
- 27:55Speaker 3: I'm sure defenders hate him. But making everything, he makes
- 27:58Speaker 3: the plays when That's the key thing about Baker mayfel
- 28:00Speaker 3: He makes the plays when they matter and when he's
- 28:01Speaker 3: supposed to, when the play has to be made in
- 28:04Speaker 3: a crucial part of the game. He's making every single one.
- 28:07Speaker 3: So can he keep it up? We'll see. But Buccaneers,
- 28:11Speaker 3: they were riding the coatails of Baker Mayfield, number one
- 28:14Speaker 3: quarterback in the NFL as of Week seven.
- 28:19Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 28:20Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, I think it's a correct list. I'm glad
- 28:24Speaker 5: you love Josh Allen too, Yeah, because like you know,
- 28:26Speaker 5: it'd be easy to drop him after that. Falcons were
- 28:29Speaker 5: coming off of a bye, they were healthy. Josh Allen
- 28:32Speaker 5: did not have Dalton kN kaid. Like to me, that
- 28:34Speaker 5: looked like a game where everybody said, oh, we're the
- 28:36Speaker 5: Falcons for real. Maybe, but to me that looked like
- 28:39Speaker 5: a beat up Bills team going against the squad. It
- 28:42Speaker 5: was real west rested. It had two weeks to prepare
- 28:44Speaker 5: like that. I appreciate that you keep him at two
- 28:46Speaker 5: because he's he's been great.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Yeah, he's been I'm not going to take him off
- 28:49Speaker 3: of one. One loss and honorable mentions real quick, Dak Prescott,
- 28:52Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers, Jalen Hurts are my honorable mentions right there?
- 28:56Speaker 3: All right, that wraps up my QB power rankings. So
- 29:01Speaker 3: we'll go to break and we come back. We'll do
- 29:03Speaker 3: a little film study right here on off the bench.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Off the bench, all right, go to go Tommy's dot com.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Who's gonna say go Tommy or Yo Tommy.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Yo Tommy, Tommy.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Gonna go Tommy right now?

- 29:38Speaker 3: can do. Do yourself a favorite. Make sure that you
- 29:40Speaker 3: call Tommy's to come out there and so you can
- 29:43Speaker 3: meet with them. Talk with them, see the pricing that

- 29:47Speaker 3: can give you in when they install. They're gonna give
- 29:50Speaker 3: you lifetime warranties, so they are going to guarantee their work.

- 30:04Speaker 3: to windows, doors and sign and go see them go
- 30:06Speaker 3: Tommy's dot.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Com Effect Up two thousand and seven Shams purple and
- 30:27Speaker 1: gold to the core. This is off the Bench with
- 30:30Speaker 1: Hester and Flynn Baton Rouge's go to for all things
- 30:34Speaker 1: Louisiana Sports.
- 30:43Speaker 5: From the two album Here Boys them in Welcome Back
- 30:47Speaker 5: Off the Bench.
- 30:48Speaker 3: I want to tell you about Pala Pala Industrial Contractors
- 30:52Speaker 3: here baton rouge. Hard work isn't just the same, it's

- 31:38Speaker 3: It's nineteen seventy three, all right, were gonna do a
- 31:43Speaker 3: little film study here. So I've been watching a little
- 31:47Speaker 3: bit of Vanderbilt trying to and I gave you a
- 31:48Speaker 3: little bit of breakdown earlier about this Vanderbilt team.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Very well coached.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Okay, so Clark Lee has done an incredible job at
- 31:56Speaker 3: taking a program that is historically just not been event
- 32:00Speaker 3: for an entire season, certainly not multiple season. They had
- 32:03Speaker 3: flashes here and there, but this is this is a
- 32:06Speaker 3: team that's very well coached. They're gonna do everything they're
- 32:08Speaker 3: not gonna give you, just like they're not gonna be
- 32:10Speaker 3: very blitz heavy, very pass heavy. They are very balanced
- 32:13Speaker 3: on everything defensive side of the ball. Their balance. They're
- 32:15Speaker 3: gonna run, man, They're gonna run zone. They're won two three,
- 32:17Speaker 3: four coverages. They're gonna do everything on offense. It's death
- 32:20Speaker 3: by a thousand cuts with this offense. They're gonna hand
- 32:23Speaker 3: it off, they're gonna quarterback run, they're gonna do jet sweeps,
- 32:26Speaker 3: they're gonna screen you. They're gonna do the zone read
- 32:28Speaker 3: with a quarterback. They'll do RPOs, quick routs, they'll take
- 32:31Speaker 3: play action and take a deep shot. Quarterbacks gonna scramble
- 32:34Speaker 3: and certainly no sliding.
- 32:35Speaker 5: Uh.
- 32:36Speaker 3: And they're very disciplined in what they do and not
- 32:39Speaker 3: to mention they got an absolute caveman of a quarterback
- 32:43Speaker 3: that just plays the game full out.
- 32:45Speaker 2: So we're gonna go to the clip here.
- 32:47Speaker 3: I just want to show you a little bit of
- 32:48Speaker 3: a little bit of what we're dealing with with this
- 32:50Speaker 3: Diego Pavia.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Guy.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Oh, I'm on full screen here, bud. See all right,
- 33:06Speaker 3: old one second, technical difficulties you're rehearsed as at break.
- 33:11Speaker 3: All right, you try it now, all right, we're just
- 33:14Speaker 3: gonna play it.
- 33:14Speaker 5: There we go.
- 33:17Speaker 3: All right, so watch this, watch this play. This play
- 33:19Speaker 3: actually just kind of made me laugh when I was
- 33:21Speaker 3: watching it. So a little scramble to the right, it's nothing,
- 33:25Speaker 3: nothing's playing. Sorry, guys, technical difficulties an here, we're not
- 33:29Speaker 3: gonna be able to watch the film.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Just reconnect it real quick, should I?
- 33:36Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, Hey, this is the first blemish since Jason got bet.
- 33:41Speaker 3: He's just laughing right now, laughing at this is said anybody?
- 33:45Speaker 3: This isn't knowing anybody. Mm hmmmm, all right, good luck
- 33:52Speaker 3: to us, Scott Speed.
- 33:55Speaker 5: What was this the pitch play?
- 33:57Speaker 2: This is not the pitch play.
- 33:58Speaker 6: Uh.
- 33:59Speaker 3: This is a play where Diego Pavia scrambles out to
- 34:01Speaker 3: the or does a sprint out to the right.
- 34:03Speaker 5: He hits a short, little pass and we've all.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Seen the play where you know, there's a big pile up,
- 34:09Speaker 3: there's a scrum running back, the ball carriers fighting for
- 34:13Speaker 3: extra yardage, and linemen will come in. Offense line will
- 34:16Speaker 3: come and try to clean up the pile. Look for
- 34:18Speaker 3: work people standing around the pile defenders. They're gonna try
- 34:21Speaker 3: to send a little bit of a message and clean
- 34:23Speaker 3: it up. Well, Diego Pavia takes it upon himself to
- 34:28Speaker 3: be that workhorse. He sprints out, throws a pass, the
- 34:31Speaker 3: guy catches it, takes a couple of yards, piles up,
- 34:34Speaker 3: and Diego Pavia comes in and tries to light people up.
- 34:37Speaker 3: He's an absolute cave man, an absolute animal. And uh, Taylor,
- 34:43Speaker 3: how are we doing, Bud? Now it's done.
- 34:45Speaker 2: We're toast.
- 34:51Speaker 5: So sorry guys, Sorry out there. I know I was
- 34:53Speaker 5: kind of looking for this, Mike.
- 34:55Speaker 3: One of my favorite parts of doing this is kind
- 34:58Speaker 3: of watching the film and kind of kt a little
- 35:00Speaker 3: bit but laundred.
- 35:02Speaker 5: Guess what what Matt broke the surface? He did?
- 35:10Speaker 2: No, it's not a service.
- 35:11Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 35:13Speaker 5: Like he's he's full screen and like that's what it
- 35:15Speaker 5: looks like on my end, do you try unplugging it
- 35:17Speaker 5: and play.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Just hot trouble on it? It didn't work?
- 35:25Speaker 5: Oh no, I know.
- 35:27Speaker 3: All right, Well let's go around the room and see
- 35:30Speaker 3: what y'all's what y'all are looking at for the end.
- 35:32Speaker 2: So we've I've just kind of talked.
- 35:34Speaker 3: About how their offense is like death by a thousand cuts.
- 35:40Speaker 3: They are not gonna hit a ton of like explosive plays.
- 35:43Speaker 3: They're gonna try yeah, and he's they're gonna try to
- 35:45Speaker 3: hit it. They're gonna play action you. But really it's
- 35:48Speaker 3: they give you so many different looks on offense. They
- 35:50Speaker 3: give you so many different things to as a defense,
- 35:53Speaker 3: to have to game plan for. They run a ton
- 35:56Speaker 3: of screens, they run the jet motions, zone inside, outside zone,
- 35:59Speaker 3: they encounters and then oh yeah they can have this
- 36:02Speaker 3: this meat out of a quarterback do quarterback powers, quarterback runs,
- 36:06Speaker 3: then zone reads, then quick motions, and then to a
- 36:09Speaker 3: zone read and then they love little quick passes, sprint out,
- 36:13Speaker 3: move the pocket a little bit. They just keep they
- 36:15Speaker 3: They they don't settle on one thing like so many
- 36:18Speaker 3: offenses do as an identity. Their identity really is is
- 36:21Speaker 3: Diego Pavia and the energy that he brings. So it's
- 36:24Speaker 3: not one thing that you can game plan. It is
- 36:26Speaker 3: a completely balanced offense. And I'm not just talking about
- 36:30Speaker 3: like what the run pass percentages. You remember Mike Mike
- 36:32Speaker 3: Leach's old saying about oh it's balanced, because yeah, we
- 36:35Speaker 3: throw it sixty times a game, but we got nine
- 36:38Speaker 3: people with over twenty thirty yards receiving, So that's pretty
- 36:43Speaker 3: balanced to me. So what they do is, yeah, their
- 36:46Speaker 3: runs might be a lot more, but they're running it
- 36:49Speaker 3: with receivers, they're running back with quarterbacks, they're running with
- 36:51Speaker 3: different different running backs, and they are It makes it
- 36:57Speaker 3: really hard for defensive coordinators. So it's it's one of
- 37:00Speaker 3: the things that I'm looking at is what kind of
- 37:03Speaker 3: confusion that we can bring out. They were in Like
- 37:05Speaker 3: the game that I really watched, this Alabama game and
- 37:07Speaker 3: this was at half done fourteen fourteen with.
- 37:10Speaker 6: Time thought they might have came back until that last
- 37:13Speaker 6: fumble that they had in that game, like they what was.
- 37:18Speaker 4: The score in the fourth quarter where they had that
- 37:20Speaker 4: last drive Andandy did it was close. I think they
- 37:23Speaker 4: just needed a touch.
- 37:24Speaker 5: They were down.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Seventeen maybe I don't remember.
- 37:28Speaker 5: They were down eight. They lost by sixteen, so they
- 37:32Speaker 5: were down whatever the touchdown was, was Obama scored lates
- 37:36Speaker 5: they were probably down seven.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Yeah, so they had the chance. But I think Diego fumbled.
- 37:42Speaker 5: It fumbled in the second and.
- 37:44Speaker 6: It But to your point about their offense though, and
- 37:48Speaker 6: our defense, I think I know, like Blake Baker is
- 37:52Speaker 6: also a psycho, like if you in the best possible
- 37:56Speaker 6: ye the.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Best way we say it with love.
- 37:58Speaker 6: So I think the defense is like he can handle it.
- 38:02Speaker 6: The question is can your offense stay on the field
- 38:05Speaker 6: long enough to give your defense a little break, because
- 38:08Speaker 6: that didn't happen during all miss and that's why you
- 38:11Speaker 6: had some of those situations where the defense was tired,
- 38:15Speaker 6: maybe out there ninety four percent of the game.
- 38:18Speaker 5: Maybe I'm crazy. I'm not worried about Diego pave in
- 38:20Speaker 5: this game, not at all. I wish you handled him
- 38:22Speaker 5: a year ago. Now, Look, each team is different. I
- 38:25Speaker 5: understand that you were awful against running quarterbacks this year.
- 38:29Speaker 5: Last year, for the most part, you've been pretty good
- 38:31Speaker 5: at it. You held that Vanderbilt offense who scored a
- 38:33Speaker 5: lot of year ago to twenty one. I'm watching Cedric Alexander.
- 38:37Speaker 5: I don't know if you've watched him at Tony's number
- 38:39Speaker 5: twenty eight on Vanderbilt. He's there running back. He's only
- 38:42Speaker 5: he only has fifty carries. These five touchdowns and fifty carries.
- 38:47Speaker 5: That's a good number. And he's averaging six and a
- 38:48Speaker 5: half yards per carry. Last year he averaged three and
- 38:51Speaker 5: a half. He's the one that broke the long run.
- 38:54Speaker 5: I think it was on Vandy's opening drive against Alabama.
- 38:57Speaker 5: The seventy yarder that was part of it was the
- 39:00Speaker 5: I want to watch this happened. Screw up Taylor. This
- 39:02Speaker 5: happened last week.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Wow, Taylor.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Remember Fuller, the South Carolina running back, he broke the
- 39:07Speaker 5: seventy He already had some trouble with him in the
- 39:09Speaker 5: second half because you were keying in on Sellars. Yeah,
- 39:12Speaker 5: Cedric Alexander is the guy I'm watching because keyan on
- 39:14Speaker 5: Pavia he could bring it.
- 39:15Speaker 3: And I agree with you, like I'm not worried about
- 39:17Speaker 3: Diego Pavia changing the game by himself, Like it's not
- 39:21Speaker 3: that's not what he does. How he changes the game
- 39:24Speaker 3: is he gives. He brings an extra element to everything
- 39:28Speaker 3: that you do. So he hands it off. You just
- 39:31Speaker 3: can't like forget the quarterback when you're the defense. You
- 39:33Speaker 3: have your eyes always have to be in two to
- 39:35Speaker 3: three places at one time. You have to be reading
- 39:38Speaker 3: through the quarterback, through the line, through the you have
- 39:41Speaker 3: to You just can't take the bait first hand because
- 39:44Speaker 3: what Diego Pavia can do, and he does it well,
- 39:48Speaker 3: he takes what they give you and he just like
- 39:50Speaker 3: I said, I said, like three times death by a
- 39:53Speaker 3: thousand cuts, He's just gonna come. He's gonna gonna keep coming,
- 39:56Speaker 3: keep coming, keep coming. Now, he's not gonna He's not
- 39:59Speaker 3: this four to three guy that's gonna break off an
- 40:00Speaker 3: eighty yard run or break fifty tackles like Lenora Sellers
- 40:05Speaker 3: can do. But he's just a guy that is perfect
- 40:07Speaker 3: for what they are trying to do on offense.
- 40:10Speaker 2: And we got a tripod vote here.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Do we think on the way out, do you think
- 40:13Speaker 3: Jake unplugged something sabotages.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Probably I'll say now, I'll so yes he did, because
- 40:23Speaker 5: like I kind of know what's going on and.
- 40:25Speaker 3: It just can't be fixed. I just can't be fixed. Well,
- 40:28Speaker 3: maybe maybe next year we'll get it. All right, We're
- 40:31Speaker 3: gonna come back with a little ass the bench on
- 40:36Speaker 3: our last segment here by yourself as a tripod right here,
- 40:39Speaker 3: off the bench.

- 40:55Speaker 3: of walking around or driving around with one hundred and
- 40:57Speaker 3: fifty two hundred and fifty thousand miles and it's just
- 41:00Speaker 3: time for an upgrade. You want a little better technology
- 41:02Speaker 3: from your car in the insight, you want a bigger screen,
- 41:05Speaker 3: you want that Bluetooth, you wanted to get that HD radio, poppin,
- 41:09Speaker 3: whatever it is. If you want a new car, whether
- 41:11Speaker 3: it's a brand new, whether it's used, whether it's a

- 41:36Speaker 3: So if you're in the market, go to All Star
- 41:38Speaker 3: Toyota of Baton Roused dot com. All star Toyota.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Closeism, don't try to fize shum blocked in on ULSU
- 42:22Speaker 1: football twenty four to seven. You're listening to off the bench.
- 42:27Speaker 2: All right, are good to go? All right?
- 42:31Speaker 3: I like brought us back in from first rady like
- 42:32Speaker 3: twice right there and the Microsoft we're good.
- 42:36Speaker 2: No, that's on me.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Wow, uh my first technical difficulties without Jake here with
- 42:44Speaker 3: that video, total panic that set man, I think we
- 42:46Speaker 3: think we we we saved ish it. Talking about Andy,
- 42:52Speaker 3: I thought you were great, good under pressure, good under pressure.
- 42:56Speaker 3: I was like, Okay, what're you talking about now? I
- 42:58Speaker 3: can't just like talk about film.
- 43:01Speaker 5: Oh all right, we're gonna go to ask the bench.
- 43:03Speaker 3: We got a couple coming in the chat here, so
- 43:05Speaker 3: if you got something and we only got a couple
- 43:07Speaker 3: of minutes, they're to ask this one says ask QB one.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Will Vandy be trying to keep the LSU defense on
- 43:11Speaker 3: the field and wear them down like Ole missed it
- 43:14Speaker 3: to us? Yeah, that'd be a good game plan. It's
- 43:16Speaker 3: kind of hard to implement that because that's what Ole
- 43:18Speaker 3: miss does. That's like they're a fastball type of offense,
- 43:21Speaker 3: like get to line of scrimmage, get as many plays
- 43:23Speaker 3: as you can go as fast as you can, like
- 43:25Speaker 3: they could try to do that maybe for a series
- 43:27Speaker 3: or two, but if it's not like already in their
- 43:29Speaker 3: offensive DNA, it's tough to just go ahead and like
- 43:32Speaker 3: put that fat. And that's what was effective against LSU's
- 43:35Speaker 3: defense was being so fast to the line of scrimmage,
- 43:38Speaker 3: you getting the play call in so fast that they
- 43:39Speaker 3: didn't have that opportunity to get some complicated schemes dialed up.
- 43:44Speaker 6: I was gonna say, it doesn't really seem like Vandy
- 43:46Speaker 6: plays a lot of tempo if.
- 43:48Speaker 5: Any No, they're they're they're picking poppy down the field.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, uh see ask the bench. Did Flynn just
- 43:55Speaker 3: confirm he'll be on radio next year? So we get
- 43:58Speaker 3: at least two years a full time flush string like
- 44:01Speaker 3: I signed a lot of time contract I don't know
- 44:03Speaker 3: there's contracts.
- 44:04Speaker 6: And in Blood in the Bloody, him and Gordy both
- 44:11Speaker 6: cut themselves and shook hands.
- 44:13Speaker 2: That was the that was in college.
- 44:16Speaker 3: We were dumb, like uh there was uh we would
- 44:19Speaker 3: be you burn brothers with your buddy. Oh no, it
- 44:24Speaker 3: was like you were you know, you're you're having a
- 44:26Speaker 3: couple of diecis and you would sit there and you
- 44:28Speaker 3: put your arms together. Now you were dumb college kid
- 44:30Speaker 3: put your arms together, and if somebody, not me, somebody
- 44:34Speaker 3: was ripping a dark you just like drop it in
- 44:36Speaker 3: the middle of your arms and smash it so you
- 44:38Speaker 3: had matching burn scars. Wow, that was terrible. How dumb
- 44:42Speaker 3: is that? Hey, how are you going to take in
- 44:43Speaker 3: the game this weekend? You're going You're going to Nashville
- 44:47Speaker 3: the show Friday and then so you're going to the
- 44:50Speaker 3: game credentials, So you're gonna it's like credentials to go
- 44:53Speaker 3: on the field.
- 44:54Speaker 6: Yeah, beforehand, beforehand, and then I'll go up to the
- 44:57Speaker 6: press box and then we'll see how long I was,
- 45:01Speaker 6: We'll see how all is she's doing.
- 45:03Speaker 4: It's because you can't cheerlead. You can't do anything in
- 45:05Speaker 4: the press box.
- 45:06Speaker 6: So if I'm getting angry, like I have to leave,
- 45:09Speaker 6: I love Saturday.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Night, you just done with it.
- 45:13Speaker 4: I just I can't move on.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Yeah I left too, but I had children falling asleep.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Well, I just can't be emotional in there.
- 45:20Speaker 5: So yeah, Tay, how are you taking in the game?
- 45:22Speaker 5: Buddy on the couch, dude, same sports watching spot as every.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Week, Me too.
- 45:28Speaker 3: I'll tell you. What do we even need Jake? Oh
- 45:32Speaker 3: thanks so oh dead Wade a little bit summer saying hey,
- 45:36Speaker 3: we appreciate the time, We appreciate you joining us today.
