- 0:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Three O Take, where we talk
- 0:04all things Major League Baseball.
- 0:06Here's Kyle Corwin and Nate Reyes it all.
- 0:11Starts. Right now.
- 0:15Welcome back to the Three O Take presented by Chinook Cedary.
- 0:18This is episode 521. I'll be your host, Kyle Korne.
- 0:22I'm here with my Co host Nate Reyes.
- 0:27Nate. Wild.
- 0:30How did that feel? That changed?
- 0:31I mean, that's a big Switcher. You've been saying the same
- 0:34intro a long time. How long have we been rolling
- 0:38with? Well, we've swapped.
- 0:41We've swapped some, yeah, some other things in there from time
- 0:44to time, but Chinook, baby Chinook, let's roll.
- 0:49Why get this? Why put the word out about this
- 0:52stream? Why don't you tell the folks
- 0:54about about Schnook? Tell them how much 'cause I, I
- 0:58love the Not that we got to make this whole thing about Schnook
- 1:01right off the top here, but I feel like it's worth announcing
- 1:04because I guess it's a big deal. And as much as I love the seeds,
- 1:08I think you love them even more. So why don't you tell the?
- 1:10Folks, dude, by this experience I feel like I'm promoting them a
- 1:15lot to friends and fam. These seeds are look how long
- 1:22have you been chewing? I've I've been chewing seeds
- 1:24since I was 5-6 years old. Six years old.
- 1:30Like, I remember being a kid and like, I, I couldn't wait to
- 1:34figure out how to put like a handful in your mouth and keep
- 1:37him on a cheek and then be able to like work out the seed on the
- 1:42other side of your mouth. Then I, I remember that day.
- 1:45Like, I remember being able to do it and being excited.
- 1:47I remember the weird phase you go through where you're just
- 1:50chewing them and you're not spitting them out.
- 1:53You're literally just chewing and tearing up your insides from
- 1:58eating blades of seeds. So it's awesome because like as
- 2:04a ball player, you have your seat, like you have your
- 2:06favorite seeds. You understand different brands
- 2:10and like the different flavors and you understand which ones
- 2:13are going to tear up your mouth. You understand that like, hey,
- 2:16this have this may have more flavor, but it, it ain't worth
- 2:20it. So to be able to like get to
- 2:23this, this partnership with Chinook is sick, man.
- 2:27Like these seeds are super, super high quality.
- 2:32I'm not just saying it like I I would whether they were involved
- 2:35with us or not, I'd be promoting these things.
- 2:39Speaking of promoting friend of the program Bobby Witt, if you
- 2:43follow Bobby Witt in any capacity, you know that Bobby
- 2:45Witt is a a big player in the Chinook Cedery game.
- 2:49That's right, big advocate, big promoter, his big partner for
- 2:53them. So we love that.
- 2:54I mean, we love anything Bobby Witt does.
- 2:57That's. Right.
- 2:58That's right. You just want to go ahead and
- 3:00drop the bomb on them. Now, about this particular
- 3:04flavor that I I don't think a lot of people know about.
- 3:08Yeah, I mean, look like you got your, you got your, your normal
- 3:11flavors for the most part, like your original, your dill, your
- 3:14BBQ, they're all in the mix. They start getting a little
- 3:18funky. They start mixing in some Hatch
- 3:21chili. They mix in some jalapeno ranch.
- 3:23They mix in some lemon pepper. Some parmesan and pepper.
- 3:28The parmesan and pepper is is low key money a banger.
- 3:34You guys don't know about the cinnamon toast dude?
- 3:40This. And I swear to you, I'm not
- 3:43just, I am not saying this. It is genuinely one of the best
- 3:49sunflower seeds I've ever had in my life.
- 3:51That's what I'm saying because. You, you, you look at it and you
- 3:53go. There's no way it works.
- 3:55Because we've only had salty seeds, like that's the only seed
- 3:58we've ever been given is like salty, spicy, like nothing sweet
- 4:03before. It's I, I gave it to, I gave
- 4:09Chinook hooked, hooked us up with they were generous and give
- 4:11us some, some samples. So I got a lot and I was like,
- 4:15there's no way I'm going to have all these.
- 4:16So I started giving a couple bags to some friends and yeah,
- 4:23he was like, did they like steal like the recipe from CT crunch?
- 4:28Like it's like unbelievable. It's so good.
- 4:33It shouldn't work. It shouldn't make sense.
- 4:36But these, I mean, they're, they're high quality seeds.
- 4:38They're made in the US, which I love.
- 4:40I think they're out of Texas and there's like, no, there's no
- 4:45like GMO or like MSG. There's none of that.
- 4:48Like stuff where you're just like sucking down water after
- 4:51you have a handful there. They don't destroy your breath.
- 4:56Like I you and I were talking about it.
- 4:59I drive a lot for work. So like I keep bags in my center
- 5:02console and it's it's the best, they're the best seeds I've ever
- 5:08had. I'm not just saying that I would
- 5:10be talking this way whether they were partnered with us or not.
- 5:15So go get you some. I love the little you can see
- 5:19over my shoulder. You can see over Kyle's shoulder
- 5:22the the singular tube that is very easy for what you can
- 5:27imagine is made for like the back pocket of a player on
- 5:31field. Just very easy to cut the
- 5:32corner, pop them in. But they do have the big bags
- 5:35too. The perfect serving size for
- 5:37just like an outing, like if you go to the park or you're at a
- 5:40ball game or driving home from work, you got a longer commute.
- 5:44The the perfect serving size. I'm all about it.
- 5:48Yeah, top tier. Shout out Chinook.
- 5:52Use our promo code. Use our promo code 3 O Take
- 5:55THREEOHTAKE on their website. You can get 10% off your order.
- 6:04Speaking of money, let's talk Vladdy junior again.
- 6:10Let's talk Vladdy junior again. Dude, I, I, I like to say that I
- 6:20have a radar for these kinds of things where, you know, games
- 6:24are being played, players just trying to work the team for this
- 6:28or that. I I still feel like I'm in the
- 6:33camp that Vlady Junior doesn't want to play for the Blue Jays,
- 6:37but some quotes have surfaced recently in the in the recent
- 6:41days that have me second guessing that.
- 6:45Hit me. All right, so ultimately, Blue
- 6:49Jays President Mark Shapiro comes out, says I think we're
- 6:53going to sign him. I think we're going to extend
- 6:55them. We have such a clear alignment
- 6:57on the desired outcome. Vlad wants to play his whole
- 7:02career as a Toronto Blue Jay. We want him to end his career in
- 7:05a Blue Jays uniform and be a true legacy player or the
- 7:08Toronto Blue Jays. That's a pretty good place to
- 7:11start. And then Vladdy comes out and
- 7:15says I've always felt good about the whole thing.
- 7:19I'm good with that. Just going to keep working very
- 7:22hard and be optimistic. Not going to shut the door on
- 7:24them. This was the one that got me, he
- 7:27said. I'm going to leave that to my
- 7:30agents to work with that if there's something there, they're
- 7:33going to continue to work with that.
- 7:35I'm just going to be on the field, focusing on my teammates,
- 7:39on my team, on my game. If that was the case, why set
- 7:45the dead? Why set the deadline?
- 7:47I never. Believe the deadlines have you?
- 7:49I've never bought into the deadlines.
- 7:52It made sense to me, and the only reason I bought it was
- 7:55because the way it aligned with the spring training schedule.
- 7:58I'm like, OK, he he just once, once, once he steps on the
- 8:02field, he doesn't want to, doesn't want to play any games,
- 8:04doesn't want to hear about it throughout the whole year.
- 8:08But then this comes out and I'm like, so it sounds like he's
- 8:11more than OK with his agent who is doing the work for him on his
- 8:15behalf anyway. Regardless if there was a
- 8:17deadline or not, he's OK with him handling business off to the
- 8:22side while he while he worries about his game.
- 8:24So ultimately he got Vladdy got what he wanted.
- 8:27He got he got the Blue Jays to come back to the table and not
- 8:30just throw in the towel and say, all right, fine, we'll, we'll,
- 8:34we'll try our luck in, in free agency.
- 8:36They're like, Vladdy got what he wanted.
- 8:38He's the Blue Jays come back saying no, no, no, we're going
- 8:41to make this work. We feel like we're going to sign
- 8:43you. So he got exactly what he what
- 8:45he wanted. Do I think he's going to do I
- 8:48think he's going to end up in in Toronto or he's going to stay in
- 8:51Toronto? I feel like the odds are are
- 8:55greater now based on these quotes.
- 8:57Do I think he wants to be there? Not entirely.
- 9:01But I think if the money gets to a point where he has no choice
- 9:05but to accept, I think that that that that's a likely scenario.
- 9:09Money talks, man. Money talks.
- 9:12Always does. I don't believe in the deadline.
- 9:18I think in my mind I feel like Vlad probably gave his agents a
- 9:26number and said don't bother me with this unless we are at or
- 9:33near this number. I think it also has to do with
- 9:41this this year's success of the team.
- 9:43I think that's going to be a part of it, right?
- 9:45Like I, I feel like it's a vibe thing.
- 9:48Like if the Jays are rolling, I'm rolling.
- 9:51Like all things are good. Maybe even if not, maybe if
- 9:53like, hey, I'm struggling and and I'm getting off to a slow
- 9:57start and the Blue Jays are getting closer to my number.
- 10:02Like maybe I don't put up the year that I want to put up.
- 10:05And I mean, like we saw it with like we we've seen it with guys,
- 10:11we've seen it with guys that maybe don't have the best
- 10:14walkier production wise and it cost them a significant amount
- 10:19of money. We've also seen that like a lot
- 10:26of teams calling players or agents bluff in a way, you know
- 10:30what I mean? Like I'm not going to go there.
- 10:32I'm sorry. We're out then.
- 10:34So it's interesting because I don't know where I don't know
- 10:42where the Blue Jays would be on this because we've talked about
- 10:46like they've been in on big names in the past, right?
- 10:51They've been in on Otani, they've been in on Judge,
- 10:55they've been in on these guys that are just Korea, like all
- 10:58these names that are like at the top of the free agent class.
- 11:02And they've just, you know, it's always been the bridesmaid,
- 11:06never the bride. So I feel like they have money
- 11:12to spend. I feel like they've renovated
- 11:15their park, you know what I mean?
- 11:16Like they've done the right things, they've made the right
- 11:19moves. I like that they still sneaky
- 11:24had a good offseason, you know what I mean?
- 11:28Like if you were to look at those moves and their
- 11:31improvements from last year, I think they're genuine
- 11:34improvements from last year. I think all of this is just like
- 11:38a a perfect mixture. They at least is in the ale in
- 11:42general is more up for grabs than it has been in the past.
- 11:44Like these are all good things and I feel like if things are
- 11:49going well, Vlad is feeling good.
- 11:51If if there's the right buttons being pressed all year, I could
- 11:57see a mid season extension. I could do.
- 12:04I think that's likely. No, I don't think so.
- 12:11I wonder if there's a scenario where the Blue Jays do not
- 12:16perform up to their expectations.
- 12:19I won't say our expectation or even my expectations.
- 12:22I don't know where you we've got our hot takes and predictions
- 12:25episode coming up next, so I don't want to speak for you
- 12:29necessarily. But if the Blue Jays don't live
- 12:31up to their expectations and Vladdy Junior ends up being one
- 12:36of the the lone bright spots of this, this 2025 Blue Jays team,
- 12:44does that, does that increase the urgency in that front office
- 12:49where they're like, this, this guy is the only reason these
- 12:53people coming to the ballpark? We've we've got to figure out a
- 12:56way to keep this guy around. We're we're, we're knocking on
- 12:58the door of an agreement here of an extension.
- 13:01Can't like we just got to make this work.
- 13:03Do you think that increases the urgency?
- 13:05Because ultimately that's what that's what Vladi wants.
- 13:08That's what Vladi and his camp wants.
- 13:09They want, they want the front office to panic a little bit.
- 13:13And again, if if Vladi goes out and has an even better year than
- 13:16he had last year, because we we've talked about it, he had a
- 13:19better year than I think people even remember he.
- 13:22Was really good last year. Yeah, if he goes out.
- 13:25And, and, and improves even upon that.
- 13:29And the Blue Jays are sort of like, you know, middle of the
- 13:31road, even bottom of the division.
- 13:33Does does the front office go if we want to compete at all moving
- 13:38forward? This is the guy that we've had
- 13:40our we've had him circled ever since he joined the organization
- 13:43that he was going to be a centerpiece of this.
- 13:48Or do they just look at it and go, is it, is it worth it?
- 13:50Because we, we, we have not. We have not done anything of
- 13:54note in recent memory and it doesn't look like anything.
- 13:58We, we went out and made additions this offseason.
- 14:01It amounted to nothing or at least to this point in the
- 14:03season. Assuming this conversation takes
- 14:05place around the break, is it even worth it?
- 14:08Like do we do we overextend ourselves to get a guy that A
- 14:12doesn't really seem that he wants to be here and B isn't
- 14:17going to make as much of a difference given he like he he
- 14:21is a difference maker. But if if he has nobody around
- 14:23him that's able to take them to the next level, is it even worth
- 14:27it? I think they have.
- 14:32I mean, I, I think the pressure is already there.
- 14:34I think their seat is already hot.
- 14:38I think it would be a mistake for the Blue Jays.
- 14:41It's already been a mistake. But I think it will be a mistake
- 14:45if they let him go have meetings elsewhere.
- 14:47If this gets to the offseason and he's meeting with other
- 14:51teams, I think it's a mistake. I think it's a missed
- 14:55opportunity. He's gone.
- 14:57Like I, I'm not trying to come down on the Blue Jays at all,
- 15:00but like they're, you got to assume there's a lack of, of
- 15:05Dominican culture up there. You got to assume that it's not
- 15:10the easiest thing in the world to live in Canada.
- 15:14You know what I mean? Like to go back and forth
- 15:16between the countries is not, it's not the easiest thing.
- 15:19You're talking, you know, you're talking, you know, taxes being
- 15:22an issue. Like there's a lot of other
- 15:25factors outside of just how the Blue Jays perform, how the how
- 15:29the roster is organized, who's in the managerial seat, Because
- 15:34let's face it, that seat has been a little hot lately too.
- 15:38So it's tough man. But like if they let him go and
- 15:43have other meetings and and get to flirt with other teams and
- 15:47other organizations, I I can't see him returning.
- 15:51I cannot. And being good friends with Soto
- 15:56and seeing how negotiations can have other things involved
- 16:04outside of just your salary. Other factors at play.
- 16:12Yeah, yeah. I mean, I think that can can,
- 16:15can definitely play a role. I think you can definitely play
- 16:19a role and I I wouldn't be surprised if if the Mets because
- 16:28of that, that Pete Alonzo deal did included a club option,
- 16:32right. So I wouldn't be surprised if
- 16:34they don't pick that up if, if Pete is anything less than, you
- 16:38know, 35. Dollars this.
- 16:39Year. I think it was a club option.
- 16:42What? Was it?
- 16:45I think if it's anything less than 35 home runs a year out of
- 16:48this year, out of Pete Alonso, they're not picking that up and
- 16:52Soto's going to heavily recruit Vlad.
- 16:57Yeah, it's going to eat that up. Well, I don't want to belabor
- 17:01it. We've we've talked about bloody
- 17:03a lot this offseason. There hasn't been much progress,
- 17:07but there has been back and forth, which I feel like we have
- 17:09to have to keep the folks updated on.
- 17:11So that is the latest on Vladdy Junior Tokyo Series in the
- 17:16books. Dodgers go out and do exactly
- 17:19what I think people were anticipating.
- 17:21They go out and take two of two and you know, you see a little
- 17:27bit of everything you see you see some some flash from Otani.
- 17:31Otani goes deep controversial call, albeit you see some you
- 17:37see some depth out of their bullpen.
- 17:40It was Scott had to save in game one and then I think it was
- 17:44Vesia in game two had to save. So you're already seeing a
- 17:48little bit of that versatility at work and, and some of their
- 17:53depth pieces showing up. I think TKT KS got what, 2 Jacks
- 17:57now he's got I think 2 on the year coming home.
- 18:01I think I saw I and I think the reason that I think that is
- 18:05because I, I think I saw a tweet where he's talking about how
- 18:08he's going to, he's going to take the week and enjoy it as
- 18:11like the league leader in home runs or something like typical,
- 18:15typical TK fashion. But yeah, you know, I mean, I
- 18:20caught a total of, I'm not, I'm not going to sit here and lie.
- 18:23I caught a total of maybe 5 innings between the two games
- 18:27because I was being on the East Coast.
- 18:29You're able to catch a little bit more than than the Dodgers
- 18:32fans out West, assuming they're not waking up at 3:00 AM.
- 18:34But some of them were, I'll give him credit, but you know, it's
- 18:40it's awesome. It's it's anytime you get to see
- 18:43Major League Baseball be soaked up by an audience outside of our
- 18:49own it, it's awesome. So I'm not I've I have nothing
- 18:53wrong to say or nothing bad to say about that in in any way
- 18:57shape or form. Yeah, the only camp we've been
- 19:00in is that the fact we just don't like it for opening day.
- 19:03It's the timing of it, man. It's just, it's weird.
- 19:05It's weird, but the one, one of the things that I thought was
- 19:11interesting is it wasn't like a major talking point, but I, I
- 19:13didn't see many folks talking about it, but it was, I want to
- 19:18say it was game one. Yeah, it was Game 1.
- 19:21I had the broadcast on. I think it was Chicago's
- 19:25broadcast and they're talking about how the cheerleaders who
- 19:30are usually there because it's big and MPB, they got the
- 19:32cheerleading squad there. They're leading all the chance
- 19:35and and the, you know, they incite a lot of the rowdiness
- 19:40that you see take place at those Japanese games.
- 19:45But they said that they intentionally, for lack of a
- 19:49better way of saying it, they essentially sat out the games
- 19:52because they wanted they as they were under the assumption that
- 19:57Major League fans wanted to enjoy your traditional MLB
- 20:01experience even though they were in Japan.
- 20:03And I go, you know what that. Little little show respect to
- 20:08the MLB fans that are either there or watching the game.
- 20:12Yeah, from arguably the most respectful culture in the world.
- 20:17And I said, I said something along the lines of like, we
- 20:19could learn to or we could afford to learn a thing or two
- 20:22from from the Japanese culture when it comes to respect, not
- 20:24just some baseball, but, you know, just as human beings.
- 20:29But yeah, sort of that combined with the the passion energy they
- 20:34showed, I'm all for Major League Baseball continuing to grow it's
- 20:39brand over there. Given how much of an impact
- 20:42they, I mean, I don't, I don't remember what the final numbers
- 20:45were, but a lot of people, a lot of people watch these games over
- 20:49there both I can only imagine streaming and in person.
- 20:56But then you go back to like the numbers where they were carried.
- 20:59They were pulling the weight for the World Series viewership
- 21:02numbers last year with Otani and and all that.
- 21:05So anytime, anytime, like I said, baseball, Major League
- 21:10Baseball can make its way over there.
- 21:11I love it. But it all comes back to us with
- 21:13a timing thing. And, and I know logistics aren't
- 21:15easy and it's easy for us to sit here and go, well, why don't
- 21:17they do it this time or or this time, but just read the room a
- 21:22little bit like, you know, that's all, that's all.
- 21:27Yeah, I agree. I'm with you.
- 21:29I think we've probably beat that up enough.
- 21:33Yeah, correct matchup as well. Very cool just to be able to see
- 21:38Imanaga on the mound. Obviously, you know, Otani,
- 21:42Sasaki, Yamamoto, like correct matchup.
- 21:48I feel for the Cubbies a little bit for losing a couple home
- 21:51games. Which is weird.
- 21:54Like who are we fooled? Who are we fooled?
- 21:56Just give LA the home. Yeah, I don't, I don't
- 21:59understand why you wouldn't give them that.
- 22:02That's it's just strange, like I'm I'm thinking of like like a
- 22:05season ticket holder in Chicago, you know, like getting robbed of
- 22:10two games out of Wrigley. Like, no offense to, you know,
- 22:18no offense to the stadium out in LA, but it ain't Wrigley, you
- 22:21know? So I think, yeah, it's it was.
- 22:24Maybe just upset some people with that I'm.
- 22:26Sure I did, but I'm sure I did. But it ain't Wrigley and we all
- 22:30know it. And it was obvious that, like,
- 22:36the cheering was a lot louder for the Dodgers.
- 22:40So, yeah, kind of strange there. But touch on a little bit of,
- 22:44you know, what you were talking about.
- 22:46Like, I think this is a very good look into the way the
- 22:55Dodgers are likely going to operate this year because we we
- 22:59saw, you know, no Freddie, no Mookie.
- 23:05And it doesn't matter because they just, they have all of
- 23:08these other roles that are just better filled than any other
- 23:14roster I've I've ever seen, to be honest.
- 23:18You know, we see Conforto playing a solid left field and
- 23:22we've already, you know, we've already mentioned, I think he's
- 23:24making the 17,000,000 this year. It's like, you know, Kiki's in
- 23:29the mix. You know what we like we
- 23:32sometimes overlook Max Muncie in this lineup.
- 23:34We overlook a Will Smith and it's it's the same type of
- 23:41ideology in the bullpen as well, right, Because like it do you
- 23:45want to go Trinon? Do you want to go Tanner Scott?
- 23:48Like it just depends on the tunnel, depends on what starter
- 23:52was was working that day. Depends on where you're at in
- 23:55the lineup. It depends on, you know, that
- 23:57and then you have Vesia and it's just like they have 4 closers.
- 24:05You can argue like it's, it's crazy, man.
- 24:09They have guys that are, you know, starting in the infield
- 24:14for them. That or, or I should say, they
- 24:18have guys in the infield that would be on a bench and, and for
- 24:21them, most of the time that would be starters elsewhere.
- 24:23Like it's just, I think you're going to see a very spread out.
- 24:32Let's not over extend our superstars during the regular
- 24:37season. I think you're going to have to
- 24:41get used to this team almost being NBA ish with their with
- 24:50their health management, their time management, their playing
- 24:53time. Like, it's going to be very
- 24:56spread out and it's different, man.
- 25:02It's different for baseball. You know, anything had happened.
- 25:05Yes, we're going to look at this team on paper and be like we've
- 25:08already said it, like this team should win 100 games no problem.
- 25:12But at the same time, like when you have all these players, as a
- 25:16manager, you got to assume that you got to ride the hot hand.
- 25:19You know what I mean? If Kiki's hitting 600 this week,
- 25:22like, it's hard to sit a guy like that.
- 25:25But it's also hard to say like, OK, well, we're paying a Tommy
- 25:29Edmond to get, you know, more time.
- 25:31We're paying a Mookie Betts to be able to get at the top of
- 25:34that lineup and not have days off.
- 25:36So it's it's going to be interesting how they manage it.
- 25:40But yeah, man, their benches deep, their bullpens deep.
- 25:44Obviously the rotation is deep and they don't have to
- 25:49overextend anybody. Nobody has to overdo it.
- 25:54Joey doesn't even really need to pitch for them.
- 25:57That's what, you know what I mean?
- 25:58Like it's. Just Nah, it doesn't.
- 26:03But yeah, the Dodgers are are just the Dodgers, the Cubs.
- 26:10Ripped the Segway right out from underneath me.
- 26:12You got it. You're moving on to the Cubs.
- 26:14Yet again. I thought we were thought we
- 26:18were still there. No, I mean, we, we can mention
- 26:21the Cubs, but I mean, again, nothing of note really to
- 26:24discuss there. This was the series went exactly
- 26:26the way we anticipated. Fair enough.
- 26:31No, I was just you were talking about what were.
- 26:33You What? Are you moving out of the Tokyo
- 26:35series? Because I didn't want to ask you
- 26:36something. Sure.
- 26:37Yeah, I mean, I was, I was, but go for it.
- 26:40What do you think of this weird like replay 360?
- 26:43Dude, I was trying to make sense of that.
- 26:45I. It doesn't compute in my in my
- 26:48head, yeah. I'm like what am I?
- 26:51How are? You getting this?
- 26:53How are you getting this? Where are the cameras?
- 26:55Where are the sensors? 'Cause we first saw like.
- 26:58Is this real? Am I real?
- 27:01Yeah, we first saw like the the Dansby dive going to his left
- 27:05and it was like behind it comes up and throws takes, you know,
- 27:08and you see like the fist bump when I was like, this is sick.
- 27:11But then, like when you look at the crowd behind, it's like a,
- 27:16like a video game. Yeah, like I don't.
- 27:19And then you can kind of see like it.
- 27:20It's almost like green screen. I I don't know how I how I feel.
- 27:26It's strange. I mean, I'm all for, you know,
- 27:33different angles, different new technology to enhance the
- 27:36viewing experience. But yeah, and again, I didn't
- 27:39see enough of it to really be able to form too strong of an
- 27:42opinion. But anything like that, just
- 27:44make sure you got it tightened up before you roll it out
- 27:46because then yeah, I don't sorts of blowback.
- 27:50But I can't imagine it's an MLB thing, right?
- 27:54No, but I'm sure they they saw it and were like, whoa, what can
- 27:58we do with this? Japan's built different, bro.
- 28:00I just, I think they're they're ahead of the game.
- 28:03They're ahead of the game. I saw something on TikTok the
- 28:07other day that their sidewalks have like pedals that when you
- 28:11walk along the street, like in like busy parts of the city, the
- 28:15kinetic energy from the pedals of the walkway is creating
- 28:20electricity. And they said that every
- 28:23footstep can give like 7 light bulbs, like 30 seconds of light.
- 28:29So they have millions of people just walking on the streets, but
- 28:32they're made of these little pedals.
- 28:34I'm like, y'all are different out there.
- 28:37You got you're ahead of the game.
- 28:39We don't know what we're doing. Your Wi-Fi is a mess.
- 28:43Dude, I don't know what's going on here.
- 28:45I'm going to. I'm about to throw my computer
- 28:47out the window. Yet they are doing that.
- 28:51They got it. They got electric walkways.
- 28:54It's just, it's just wild. Man, maybe I need to go hook up
- 28:57my Wi-Fi to their sidewalks. It's possible.
- 29:01It's possible. She's ahead of the game bro.
- 29:06Well, I lost my segue, so let's just transition here.
- 29:10Alex Verdugo, the the sought after the the free agent of the
- 29:18offseason. Big time.
- 29:20The superstar Alex Verdugo finally lands a one year, one
- 29:26and a half, $1,000,000 contract with the Braves.
- 29:30Tell me about your boy. My boy.
- 29:35Why is he my boy? I think he's more your boy.
- 29:41I don't know, he got World Series ABS and pinstripes, so
- 29:43you tell me. That's fair.
- 29:48I don't know, man. I don't know.
- 29:53I think he'll play it. He's going to play good defense
- 29:57and he's going to give you interesting moments below the
- 30:06average output at the plate. Yeah.
- 30:10I mean, like, I I do think last year was a down year.
- 30:13I think he's better than what he he's gotten worse.
- 30:16Every year since for like the last four years.
- 30:20And I hear you. I, I don't know, man.
- 30:23I, I, he's seems like a good clubhouse guy, kind of.
- 30:27I he has like these weird clutch moments that are like, it's like
- 30:32these big moments and then he has.
- 30:35Here you go. Is really low.
- 30:39OPS plus sorry y'all I'm fighting a fighting a sinus
- 30:45thing or allergies or something so I'm fighting through this for
- 30:48you guys so bear with me. Forgive me 2020 I can only talk
- 30:56so loud I'm I'm quickly realizing so hopefully I don't
- 31:00get too fired up about any of this. 2020 OPS plus of 1/23/2021
- 31:07OPS plus of one O 720-2210 two 183.
- 31:18See, that's, I mean, that's a big dip.
- 31:20That's what I'm saying. Are you not an OPS plus person
- 31:22or do you prefer the OPS? If so, let me read you those OPS
- 31:26numbers. OPS in 2020, 840-4777,
- 31:32732-740-5647. Yeah.
- 31:39Quite literally below the average.
- 31:44Yeah, you're not wrong. You're not wrong.
- 31:47I think he can. And can I just give you league
- 31:51average? I think I, I don't think there's
- 31:53expectations of him being any better than that.
- 31:56And it's also like now we're seeing potentially a new role
- 32:00because he's not going to be an everyday outfielder for the
- 32:02Braves. I, I see him as like a safety
- 32:07net to Kelnick. If Kelnick comes out and is
- 32:10hitting $1.20 for six weeks, it's like.
- 32:16That may happen. We've seen it and like the
- 32:19Braves fans are in the chat, Like I, I think there's, I think
- 32:23he's somewhat polarizing. I think there's a lot of fans
- 32:25that are for him. There's a lot of fans that
- 32:27aren't. I mean, you got him for a bag of
- 32:28chips. Like that's cool.
- 32:30Like it was a it was a high reward, low risk kind of thing.
- 32:34It just doesn't seem like it's it's coming out.
- 32:38I don't know how he's looked this spring, or I don't know,
- 32:41but that seems like a safety net to him.
- 32:45Am I wrong in saying that? No, I think it's fair.
- 32:47I just for Verdugo's sake though, I think he's run out of
- 32:50time to like to pounce on the whole like chip on your shoulder
- 33:01narrative. Like he's, I feel like he's had
- 33:04multiple seasons now where it's like, OK dude, a lot of talk, a
- 33:08lot of noise coming out of your camp.
- 33:10Yeah. It's time to like show up.
- 33:13And he he he shows up literally like he shows up to the
- 33:19ballpark. But beyond that, how much is he
- 33:23really giving you? And he was supposed to be like
- 33:26better than league average and he hasn't really been that.
- 33:29So like, I don't know how many more year, like yeah, I don't, I
- 33:32just don't. I guess what I'm trying to say
- 33:34is I don't want to see any attitude coming from Verdugo
- 33:36this year where it's like, oh, nobody believes me.
- 33:38It's like, well, for good reason, dude.
- 33:40Like you, you just haven't been good so.
- 33:42Like I get, I get what you're. Saying and you've had.
- 33:45You've. Really had and I know he's he's
- 33:47only what 2829? But it's like you're not this
- 33:51like you're not this blue chip prospect like you, you've,
- 33:56you've been around for a minute now and you've had multiple
- 33:59opportunities where it's like, OK, take the ball and run with
- 34:02it essentially. And he he's just sort of stood
- 34:07there. Yeah.
- 34:08I mean, it's unfortunate that he is is always going to be
- 34:12attached to the Mookie trade and.
- 34:20Yeah. But like that excuse runs out.
- 34:21Like from his perspective that that runs out real quick because
- 34:25it's like, OK. I think it runs out because he's
- 34:28such a loud player. Like he's, he's just very
- 34:31charismatic, right? Like it's big chains.
- 34:34It's a lot of chains. It's it's tattoos.
- 34:37It's I play loud, I play with swagger.
- 34:40I and it if you don't do well, it's just it's not a good look.
- 34:44You know what I mean? If you don't perform, it doesn't
- 34:46look the best. I think those two things sum up
- 34:52Alex Rodugo. No, I'm just saying like from
- 34:56his perspective, though, if he's like, man, I got, I got way too
- 34:59much pressure on me, man. People want me to be like Mookie
- 35:01Betts. It's like, no, we're well past
- 35:03the point of thinking that's even remotely a possibility,
- 35:07even like a fraction of movie bets.
- 35:09We just want you to be like a little bit better than league
- 35:11average because we think your skill set with your skill set
- 35:15that you're capable of doing that.
- 35:16And he just hasn't really been. Yeah.
- 35:18So that's, that's all I'm saying.
- 35:19I don't know. Yeah.
- 35:21Anyway. This Braves do this and they
- 35:24turn, they turn guys around and you fight.
- 35:27You squeeze every ounce of potential out of them.
- 35:31Sometimes it's just what they do and it's it's a high reward, low
- 35:38risk yet again. Him and Pro Far are going to
- 35:41have a grand time with one another, I know that much.
- 35:46Yeah. I know that much.
- 35:48Jose Trevino 3 year contract extension with the Cincinnati
- 35:53Reds through the 2027 season. Thoughts on your boy?
- 36:00Good for Trevi man. I like Trevi.
- 36:02Like if if you haven't gotten a chance to see any like
- 36:07interviews with him or oppressors with him, like he's
- 36:10he's a really good dude. I like what he I feel like he
- 36:15always says the right stuff, Very, very good behind the dish
- 36:22when it comes to framing. I think pitch calling, you know,
- 36:26handling a staff, all those types of things are good.
- 36:29Is the arm better? I hope so, because like if
- 36:35you're committing three years to a guy and and his arm is what it
- 36:38was last year, look out. He's a good dude and he seems to
- 36:47be like a, a very humble all except whatever my role is kind
- 36:51of guy and you love that and I I, I think it's cool.
- 36:59I think him I think Tito probably likes him.
- 37:01I think that's that's something of like he's he's just a gamer.
- 37:04He's a ball player. He's and he has clutch moments
- 37:08sometimes and you could have worse as a backup catcher.
- 37:16Should you be catching 100 and 15120 games?
- 37:19No. Well, he'll with with Tyler
- 37:26Stevenson out, though he'll be he'll be the guy for a little
- 37:28while until he gets back. Yeah, Yeah.
- 37:33I think I'm I'm just saying like in the length of this.
- 37:36Long term, yeah, yeah. This three-year period, yeah.
- 37:40But to your point with with Tito, I think this is I think
- 37:44this is a guy that's going to mesh real well with the style of
- 37:47baseball that that Tito likes to push forward with whatever team
- 37:52he's at the helm of. I think that I think that'll
- 37:54play well. So I think that's a good, that's
- 37:56a good move on on behalf of the Reds.
- 37:59Well done. Yeah, don't.
- 38:01Be surprised if you like we could Fast forward someday and
- 38:04see Jose Trevino catching. I mean coaching at some point.
- 38:08Like he's, he's that kind of guy.
- 38:13Yeah, good for him. It's exciting.
- 38:20Let me switch gears here. And I didn't even have it on the
- 38:22list, but I know I'm going to forget it if I don't bring it up
- 38:25now because I just happened to see a post mentioning his name.
- 38:30This whole Jose Altube thing I don't think we've talked about.
- 38:35I don't think we've followed up on the whole move to left field
- 38:38thing. Have you seen some of the?
- 38:41Woof. I mean, what are we doing there?
- 38:44I, I don't understand. And they, they asked me this,
- 38:51It's sort of fresh on my mind because they asked me this on
- 38:54Friday when I was on ESPN Las Vegas.
- 38:58Little shameless plug, good guys over there, shameless flex.
- 39:03They said, shameless flex, shameless plug.
- 39:06They said, do you think he's do you think he's there at the end
- 39:11of the year? And I said I'm leaning towards
- 39:14no. And before I even got to that
- 39:16point, I was talking about how it just confused me why he's
- 39:21even out there in the 1st place. Like, do do the Astros somehow
- 39:24think that they're getting Alex Bregman back and that he's still
- 39:27going to play second, necessitating this move?
- 39:32Yeah, I'm kind of confused by it too, I'll be honest with you.
- 39:35Because Mauricio Duban, I think, is slated to be their second
- 39:38baseman. And I'm like, this guy actually
- 39:40plays in the outfield and has played in the outfield.
- 39:43Right. That's what I'm not.
- 39:45I mean, I get that. Like he didn't have a very good
- 39:48year last year defensively. But I'm not going to put a guy,
- 39:52I'm not going to put like the face of my franchise in left
- 39:55field after being a second baseman for 14 years.
- 39:58What are we doing? Yeah, I, I understood it when,
- 40:02like, Bregman was still a free agent and that was kind of on
- 40:04the table of like, hey. Like we've already committed to
- 40:07esock parades, like if Bregman comes back and you know, we have
- 40:11to make parades play 2nd and like all move like that.
- 40:16I understood like that's just buying in being a leader like.
- 40:20Even then, but they're out there shouldn't have been the guide to
- 40:23budget. This is strange.
- 40:25It's strange. I I get, I think Dubon looked he
- 40:29look, he's good. Dubon's athletic.
- 40:31He's going to play a good second base, but at what cost?
- 40:34You know what I'm saying? Like can Duban play a a better
- 40:38left field then then Altuve? Like what's the point of taking
- 40:47two guys and moving them versus just one guy?
- 40:50You know what I'm saying? Like but.
- 40:54That's the thing, you're not moving any guy if you keep Du
- 40:57Bond in the outfield in Altuve in second.
- 41:00That's what that's the whole point.
- 41:01Like I I genuinely do not understand this move at all.
- 41:05I don't either. And the more clips that I keep
- 41:06seeing of Altuve dropping routine cans of corn out and
- 41:10left, I'm like, I don't know what we're doing here.
- 41:12I didn't understand the Esock Pereides move.
- 41:14Like I I I feel like they're just trying to make stuff work
- 41:20with guy's out of position. It just doesn't make a ton of
- 41:22sense. I got some thoughts on this in
- 41:25our Hot Takes episode coming up on Sunday, Craig Kimbrel back
- 41:33with Atlanta. Heard of him?
- 41:35Yeah. Minor league deal.
- 41:41I'll be honest with you, I'm I'm out.
- 41:45Yeah, I'm out. I'm.
- 41:47So out I'm I'm over it. I'm all done.
- 41:49I mean, how many man? I'm I'm fighting for my life
- 41:54over here, struggling. It's hitting me now.
- 41:58Is it the meds are wearing off? Throats are throat is raw we'll.
- 42:02Get you out of here. How?
- 42:05How many more? Like how many teams can you
- 42:08bounce around too and try to make it work?
- 42:10And I get it, you're going back to Atlanta, so maybe there's
- 42:13something there. But dude, that was like that was
- 42:17when was he there? O 8 is what, 17 years ago?
- 42:24Was it really? I got to look it up now.
- 42:27Wasn't that O 8? Tell me it was O 8.
- 42:32Braves fans yelling at us for sure.
- 42:35Do I know ball or do I know ball?
- 42:40Just hit us with a cool -1.1 war last year.
- 42:49Was he 2014? Why did I set?
- 42:52He wasn't even in the league and.
- 42:54OK, I don't know where I saw him.
- 42:56I guess I don't know Ball. No, but I'm just like, how many?
- 43:03How many teams? Yeah, I was going to say I was
- 43:04like that that math doesn't add up.
- 43:08How many teams can we make this? Can we make a go at it with
- 43:11before you're just like, I just don't have it in the tank
- 43:13anymore. I just don't have it in the
- 43:16tank. Yeah.
- 43:19The only thing, the only thing that I like about the move is
- 43:22that he's joining a team that is looking to reassert itself as a
- 43:28force in this league. And I think the mission of the
- 43:32Atlanta Braves coming into 2025 of being a team that wants to
- 43:36reassert itself aligns with I think the mission of Craig
- 43:39Kimbrel where he's looking to be like, hey, like, whereas you and
- 43:44I don't think there's anything really left in the tank.
- 43:48He's probably of the belief where he's like, no, I still got
- 43:50a little something left. And I think that aligns well
- 43:53with what the Braves are looking to do this year of trying to,
- 43:57and sure that people have not forgotten about them after last
- 44:00year, but that's all I really had on the matter.
- 44:04Do you remember him being a Dodger in 2022?
- 44:07Yeah, he was with the Dodgers. He they they tried to put him in
- 44:12him and Liam as like Co closers in Chicago.
- 44:16I remember that. He was with Boston, obviously
- 44:19with Baltimore, with Philly. He was.
- 44:28He was never with San Diego, was he?
- 44:30One year, 2015. Early, Yeah, I was going to say
- 44:32it wasn't with the new, the new IT.
- 44:34Was in between, in between Braves and and Boston, Yeah.
- 44:40Who else coming in? It's it's, it's just hasn't, it
- 44:44hasn't looked good for a while now.
- 44:49And it's not like that, that's the thing.
- 44:50It's not just like going back to our whole like league average
- 44:54conversation. It's not like he's just league
- 44:55average. Like he's, he's been genuinely
- 44:57awful. This is these are the types of
- 44:59move that moves that just make me question like you really not
- 45:03have anyone else in the organization that you want to
- 45:05see? Like, are you wanting to see
- 45:09what you got in some of your young guys?
- 45:13Give them a shot. I know we talked about this a.
- 45:15Minor league deal, but like, come on.
- 45:18I know we talk about it all the time, but maybe this is just one
- 45:20of those like we got to get the veteran, got one of the veteran
- 45:24presences in the clubhouse and this is the guy that's been here
- 45:26before. Who knows?
- 45:28Whatever. Who knows?
- 45:32All right, two more. Let's make it.
- 45:35Let's. Make it.
- 45:35Let's make it through this, Jared Jones.
- 45:40I feel like I'm screaming right now.
- 45:43You're not. But I'm not.
- 45:44I'm not screaming at all. Jared Jones, I hate to say this
- 45:52because I drafted him in fantasy potential TJ looming, and I'm
- 46:01not here for it because I was very much excited.
- 46:04I was excited. About watching Sherrod Jones
- 46:08encore from last year, watching him in him in skiing's go 1-2
- 46:14again. I know.
- 46:16Yeah, I know. And I'm not saying that that's
- 46:19going to happen, but it's just as as you as you hear with these
- 46:22things, it's always a possibility.
- 46:24When you hear it, when you hear it, there's there's typically
- 46:27some some fire with that smoke. Yeah, I agree.
- 46:31It's tough. I think he's going to be I think
- 46:33he's going to be really good. I think he's going to have a
- 46:35really good career. It's just, I mean, I I guess
- 46:38it's good to get this just out of the way.
- 46:40I think the Pirates are somewhat on the come up, but I don't
- 46:43know. Did you?
- 46:45Have you heard of this other kid they have?
- 46:48Bubba Chandler, Yeah, who's, like, nasty?
- 46:51Who's like, yeah, Skeens won't be the opening day starter for
- 46:56forever. No, I thought that was Jared.
- 46:58It wasn't. That was Jared Jones saying
- 47:01that, I thought. I thought Bubba Chandler.
- 47:06Oh, he was. I thought he was ribbing Skeens
- 47:09about himself. Being no, he was saying that
- 47:11about. Him.
- 47:12Oh, that's funny. I mean, yeah, but adds up.
- 47:15Yeah, this so it's just like they're they're producing man,
- 47:18which is good because like they've had like a tough they've
- 47:21had a tough rap for the for the last few years of, you know,
- 47:24having some some dudes coming in and and not being able to take
- 47:28it advantage of them, you know, with coal and and glass now and
- 47:33guys like that so. Or no, it, it wasn't, it wasn't
- 47:39Jared Jones. I think he, I think he straight
- 47:42up told Skeens. Is that what it was?
- 47:47Bobby Chandler said that. Schean says.
- 47:49Schean says. The cool thing is he sent me a
- 47:51text when the video came out today, meaning the announcement
- 47:55that he was going to be the opening day starter, and said
- 47:56it's going to be tough next year when you're starting Day 2.
- 48:02That guy's a real deal, too. Like, yeah.
- 48:05So I think the pirates are on the come up, man.
- 48:06I I think this is going to be, this is going to be good.
- 48:10Just Jared Jones, if you need it, just get it out of the way,
- 48:13man. Like I, I think that's what we
- 48:15can all pick up on at this point is that like the guys that try
- 48:19to work their way through it or rehab, it's just like it's
- 48:22inevitable for pretty much every pitcher, man.
- 48:25Just go get it done, get the rehab done and and come back
- 48:29next year when the when the Pirates have, I hope they
- 48:32continue to just take steps in the right direction.
- 48:36So. I'm with you, I'm with you.
- 48:41I don't know if it it does much to change my thoughts.
- 48:44Even if Skeens comes out and wins every game he starts.
- 48:48I don't know if it's doing much to move the needle for me with
- 48:50the pirates, but we'll save that for next episode.
- 48:54Our hot ticks and breaks episode lastly here.
- 49:00Oh. Well, I'm I'm you're almost
- 49:04there, guy. I'm almost there.
- 49:06Let's let's compose ourselves here.
- 49:10All right. I mean, it feels like I'm.
- 49:14I believe. You we mean I'll hold him out on
- 49:16top. Angels, specifically Ron
- 49:21Washington, are banning cell phones in the Angels clubhouse,
- 49:31a plan that he is aiming to uphold throughout the regular
- 49:36season. This is also something that he
- 49:38did when he was with the Rangers.
- 49:43And when was he with the Rangers?
- 49:46I had the same exact thought. It was at a time when cell phone
- 49:50culture was not what it is now. Correct?
- 49:52Did I just say cell phone culture?
- 49:54What? You get, I think that adds up.
- 49:56I think it's just culture. But.
- 49:57Phone culture. Hit me on my cell.
- 50:01Hit me on my cellular phone SMS. Yeah, dude, it's going to be
- 50:07tough, but. I bet the people, I bet when
- 50:11people heard me mention the angels are banning cell phones,
- 50:14they're like, oh, these two old heads are going to be all for
- 50:18this. I want to go on record as saying
- 50:22that I don't think this is a great idea.
- 50:23And to be honest with you, I love Ron Washington.
- 50:28Me too. And I'm not saying that it's the
- 50:32same here, but a decision like this to me, I think if the
- 50:39angels, if they if he implements this rule and they still come
- 50:42out and suck, which is very likely, you're going to see Ron
- 50:47Washington start creeping into like Tony Larussa territory from
- 50:51the perspective of fans. Not not like maybe not
- 50:55necessarily within the clubhouse, but it's possible.
- 50:58They'll still respect him and all that.
- 51:00But. There could be a pretty big
- 51:02disconnect there. Yeah, where people are going to
- 51:05be like, what does this dude know he like?
- 51:08And I'm just I, I'm fearful for for.
- 51:11Want to We talked about this when he took this position, man,
- 51:15like he had it made in the shade.
- 51:17It made in the shade. He was a fan favorite in
- 51:20Atlanta. He got to work with infielders
- 51:22every day. And I get it that there may have
- 51:25been just like this monkey on his back of like, I need a
- 51:27redemption of being at the helm considering the way things ended
- 51:32last time. But it's just it's hard to
- 51:36imagine this working. It really is.
- 51:39I see what you're doing, but I think it's it's hard to imagine.
- 51:47I think they'll have guys there that'll help.
- 51:49You know, Mike Trout, I think is going to make sure that this is
- 51:54implemented like, not that he's, you know what I'm saying?
- 51:57Like I. I don't know if you're if you
- 51:59read this or if you're just speculating, but it in the
- 52:01report that I read, it's going to be him and Kyle Hendricks
- 52:04that are going to be the two that are are enforcing.
- 52:07It Yeah, see, it's just, it's a weird place to put these
- 52:12players. It's a weird place to put these
- 52:15guys. You know what I mean?
- 52:18I like the intent behind it. I I like we talked about.
- 52:21From a good place. Yeah, it's just it's we're
- 52:24talking about two different times here.
- 52:26Like you, you can't just think back to when you were with Texas
- 52:28and be like, oh, this will work. It's just, it's just a different
- 52:32time. It's a different time.
- 52:34I think the angels knew what they were getting themselves
- 52:37into and they brought them in, though.
- 52:39And if this is about shifting culture, if this is about taking
- 52:46the blows, taking the punches, and if Ron Washington's going to
- 52:49be the one that, you know, has to kind of lay down the law and
- 52:53say this is how we have to build a winning culture here.
- 52:57And the entirely focusing on baseball, it's just it's tough,
- 53:01man. It's tough.
- 53:02You're talking about you're talking about grown men that
- 53:07should be able to be responsible with phones.
- 53:10You're talking about grown men that are taking months away from
- 53:13their families and now you're taking away, you know, their way
- 53:17of communicating Sound like these guys are showing up an
- 53:20hour before game time. You know what I mean?
- 53:21These guys are locking in four, 5-6 hours before game time
- 53:25sometimes. So it's weird.
- 53:30You can have like a box outside the clubhouse doors you got to
- 53:32drop it off into. It's just it, it's kind of odd.
- 53:36It's kind of odd. It's coming from the right
- 53:39place. I just, it's hard to imagine
- 53:41this not this is going to get blown up and the second they
- 53:45come out slow, the second they come out, you know, sliding a
- 53:49little bit, it's going to be like, oh, you change your mind
- 53:51about the phone. Like fans are not going to be
- 53:54great about this. You know what is going to be
- 53:58great though? Nate is our hot takes and
- 54:01predictions episode, and I want to close by letting you just
- 54:06hype it up, give a little bit of preview, a little bit of promo
- 54:10as to what folks can expect this Sunday.
- 54:13Yeah, it's lawless, that's for sure.
- 54:16If you're if you're joining in for the first time, this is
- 54:20hands down our number one episode.
- 54:22This is the most listened to episode each and every year.
- 54:27So we're, you know, going to run through our predictions, We're
- 54:31going to run through, you know, standings division by division
- 54:35by division. We're going to run through the
- 54:37awards, Liberty Divity. That's stupid commercial.
- 54:42We're going to run through our our award predictions.
- 54:47We're going to have kind of a mix of of our own things.
- 54:50We're going to have our own awards that are a little bit
- 54:52crafty and creative. We're going to have the hot
- 54:55takes that are going to be super spicy.
- 54:58They're going to be super controversial.
- 55:00And I think we've done a really good job over these last few
- 55:04years of making sure that we come back to these throughout
- 55:08the year at the end of the year just to kind of check, check
- 55:11back in, see if any of these were were on the money.
- 55:15But a lot of these are just bold takes that you haven't heard
- 55:20elsewhere. So we're going to we're going to
- 55:21bring the heat. But the best part of this is
- 55:25that we were going to spend a good chunk of the episode
- 55:29reading your guys's takes. So make sure you write in
- 55:34whether it's via, via mail, if you want to like lick the
- 55:39envelope and send it in. I'm not doing that.
- 55:41If you want to write to the Hotmail account or AOL account,
- 55:45we can put that up on the screen now.
- 55:47DM us, DM us. You've already had a thing.
- 55:51You've already. Seen me?
- 55:54You've already seen me solicit DMS or not TMS.
- 55:58You've already seen me solicit takes already.
- 56:00I put out a post yesterday and I've already gotten a lot, but
- 56:05I'll be putting out maybe another post or two before
- 56:08Sunday to get any last remaining hot takes y'all got, so be sure
- 56:12to keep an eye out for that. Get your takes in if you want
- 56:16them red. We're we're putting the best
- 56:17ones on the show. And as I mentioned, it's going
- 56:19to be a stream on Sunday, which will be the first time we've
- 56:21ever done a live stream for this particular episode.
- 56:23So Nate and I are going to figure out a time that works,
- 56:28and then we're going to we're going to be deep.
- 56:31Prepare yourselves or anyone that plans on.
- 56:33Grab. Grab a beverage.
- 56:35Grab your lunch. Grab.
- 56:36A lunch, yeah, but we I think last year was three hours
- 56:40wasn't. It well, we had Ryan on there
- 56:42and I think Ryan was a little bit.
- 56:44Under the influence. Under the influence.
- 56:46Yeah, I told him to have some tequila before we started and I
- 56:49think he got too much. But yeah, so keep an eye out for
- 56:55that time drop and make plans to join us Sunday, presumably
- 57:01afternoon I think is what we're what we're looking at.
- 57:03But just keep an eye out for that and make sure to bring your
- 57:09takes too, even if you don't get your takes in before Sunday.
- 57:12We may even have, it's like Nate said, it's lawless.
- 57:16We may even just open it up while we're recording for some,
- 57:21for some takes. But other than that, that about
- 57:27does it. I got to get, yeah.
- 57:30Yeah, you got to get some soup in ya.
- 57:31Go to bed, give. Me some tea.
- 57:36It's like that line in friends where they're like, what does he
- 57:38say? He's like quit your yap it and
- 57:40make us some tea. Yeah, is when they're is when
- 57:46they're dressing. Up they make the.
- 57:47Fort. Yeah, make the Fort ones like a
- 57:50cowboy and an Indian. He's like, isn't this girl's
- 57:52hat? Good stuff, good stuff.
- 57:58Thanks for hanging out everybody.
- 58:00Have a good night. Check out Chinook seeds.
- 58:04You're going to start noticing them in stores more and more.
- 58:06These guys are blowing up. They do it the right way.
- 58:09And make sure you use their promo code.
- 58:14Just to just to confirm, because I wasn't entirely sure, but I, I
- 58:18wanted to make sure, but Bobby Witt, I mentioned Bobby Witt,
- 58:20big, big. His face is on on one of the
- 58:24flavors. He's a part owner, He's a part
- 58:26owner. There you go.
- 58:28Support Bobby Witt. He he needs the money because
- 58:31the Royals didn't give him enough.
- 58:33Support of her, Yeah, he what a RIP off that contract was.
- 58:39That's awesome. All right, I'm going to go eat
- 58:40some dinner. Don't go chasing curveballs.

- 58:44baseball with you guys soon. Until next time, stay filthy.
