  Speaker 1: praise party. I am Sherry Mackie. It is time right

  Speaker 1: now for today's word, give honor. It is Memorial Day.

  Speaker 1: Romans thirteen and seven says give to everyone what you

  Speaker 1: owe them. If honor, then honor. In the Old Testament,

  Speaker 1: God commanded his people to put down memorial stones as

  Speaker 1: reminders of past national victories. Every time they are their

  Speaker 1: future generations passed by a memorial, they will remember the
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: mighty things God had done and honor the people who
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: gave their lives for others. All throughout the Scripture we
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: see that God blesses and attitude of honor. To show

  Speaker 1: honor simply means that you give respect and recognition to
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: others with your attitude, with your actions, with your words.

  Speaker 1: Today we recognize Memorial Day as a time when we

  Speaker 1: honor all the brave men and women who have given

  Speaker 1: their lives and service for this country. As we remember them,

  Speaker 1: Let's honor the gift of freedom that we have given

  Speaker 1: been given by saying thank you with your actions and

  Speaker 1: choosing to love and honor others. Let's also honor all

  Speaker 1: those who are currently serving in our armed forces. And

  Speaker 1: their families who are sacrificing so much today, Let's pray

  Speaker 1: for God's peace, protection, and provision over every area of

  Speaker 1: our lives. Father, thank you for this specialtay to honor

  Speaker 1: the brave men and women who have given their lives

  Speaker 1: to secure and keep our freedom as a nation. We

  Speaker 1: pray for their families. God, thank you that you are

  Speaker 1: with our soldiers and their families wherever they go. Protect, God,
