- 0:21Speaker 1: Mikey, I've noticed I didn't want to say anything earlier,
- 0:23Speaker 1: but you're in a different location today. You're not in
- 0:25Speaker 1: your normal spot.
- 0:26Speaker 2: What is going on there? I am in my son's
- 0:29Speaker 2: room because we had a weekend here at the Mikey house.
- 0:35Speaker 2: So Sunday morning, I went into my office at 1130
- 0:39Speaker 2: to check the fantasy inactives.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And I hear this buzzing behind me. Right. And I
- 0:47Speaker 2: turn around, and there's a wasp in my office.
- 0:50Speaker 1: A wasp?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yeah. How'd that get in here? Yeah. Let me go
- 0:55Speaker 2: kill that thing. And I get up, and I'm stalking
- 0:58Speaker 2: it like a cat, getting ready to pounce.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And then another one comes out. A wasp? And then
- 1:05Speaker 2: another one.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:07Speaker 2: And then another one. And before I knew it, there
- 1:10Speaker 2: was about eight to 10 of them coming out from
- 1:13Speaker 2: the window. Right. So me being the masculine man that
- 1:21Speaker 2: I am, I go, I have to protect my family.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I have to protect my home. And I ran and
- 1:25Speaker 2: I got a can of Raid from the garage. Put
- 1:30Speaker 2: a red bandana around my head, pulled it tight like Rambo. Nice.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Took off my shirt. Went in there and I was like,
- 1:39Speaker 2: here we go. And I might have gotten a little
- 1:44Speaker 2: trigger happy with the can of Raid. Right. And I
- 1:49Speaker 2: killed probably 15 of them. Nice. And shut the window.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And my wife comes in and says, what are you doing?
- 1:58Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:59Speaker 2: What do you mean, what am I doing? I'm protecting
- 2:01Speaker 2: this house. Right, I'm saving your life. Yes, right. She goes...
- 2:06Speaker 2: What's that smell? And I looked and the can of
- 2:11Speaker 2: Raid said, for outdoor use only. Now, when I tell you,
- 2:20Speaker 2: I had no idea that while aggressive in trying to
- 2:27Speaker 2: kill these wasps, I was not surgical. I sprayed it everywhere. Right.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I mean, And this is some sort of oil-based poison
- 2:40Speaker 2: that I'm spraying indoors in the house that is sticking
- 2:46Speaker 2: to the walls and is discoloring the paint. And there's
- 2:50Speaker 2: toxic fumes now everywhere. And the worst part is they're
- 2:59Speaker 2: still coming in and I don't know from where.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So you were trying to save your family. from being
- 3:07Speaker 1: killed by wasps. And what you ended up doing was
- 3:10Speaker 1: killing them with raid.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yes. And my wife was literally scrubbing the floor because
- 3:18Speaker 2: it was so oily from the spray.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Right.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Screaming at me. Yes. What were you thinking? I was like,
- 3:25Speaker 2: is that, is that this is, this is literally the
- 3:28Speaker 2: plot to the Incredibles movie. Yeah. It's like, You are
- 3:32Speaker 2: upset with a superhero saving the town because they made
- 3:36Speaker 2: a little bit of a mess. Right.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And when you're saving your family's life, you don't think.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You just do what you got to do.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:41Speaker 1: In the moment.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:44Speaker 3: So I don't want to downplay the heroics, but what's
- 3:47Speaker 3: the current situation with the room? Because it doesn't sound
- 3:49Speaker 3: like we've got a resolution.
- 3:50Speaker 2: It is closed off. Every time I go in there,
- 3:52Speaker 2: there's two or three more.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You have to wear a hazmat suit to go in there.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Or you have to go in to put together spots.
- 4:03Speaker 1: How long before the room is fixed?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Got to figure out how to pay for an exterminator
- 4:11Speaker 2: before we start worrying about how long until it's fixed.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Can we go back to some of the details here?
- 4:17Speaker 1: Did you really put a red bandana on and tie
- 4:21Speaker 1: it very tight like Rambo?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Why? Because I was going to war. And now let
- 4:26Speaker 2: me explain that if you were to, when you ask
- 4:29Speaker 2: me the story, I was in there doing a masculine scream,
- 4:33Speaker 2: you know, like get out of here. You're in my house.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But if you ask my wife, she said, yeah, she heard.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And I'm not going to lie. There is definitely two
- 4:47Speaker 2: raid stains on the ceiling. And those were absolute panic shots.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Wow.
- 4:52Speaker 3: So I am so bad with things around the house
- 4:54Speaker 3: and situations like this, where Mikey, I think you've handled
- 4:57Speaker 3: this situation better than I would have at this point.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Because the second I see five or six wasps, it's
- 5:03Speaker 3: the wasp house at that point.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I think I'm just moving out.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Wait, what are you doing exactly? You're just moving out
- 5:08Speaker 1: of the house?
- 5:09Speaker 2: That's it?
- 5:09Speaker 3: Just moving out, yeah. The house is a lost cause
- 5:12Speaker 3: at that point.
- 5:12Speaker 1: It's hard for me to make fun of Mikey because
- 5:14Speaker 1: there was a bullfrog in my house once, and I
- 5:16Speaker 1: called the cops. I mean, I didn't know what to do.
- 5:19Speaker 1: But I feel like you probably should have called someone,
- 5:21Speaker 1: like an authority, like a fireman. It's a waste of
- 5:23Speaker 1: their time. An exterminator.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's on the agenda. Right.
- 5:30Speaker 1: No, I'm saying yesterday. Not now. Not after you've made
- 5:34Speaker 1: the mistake. That should have been your first call, though.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Listen, it was 11.45. Football kicks off at 1, man.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you're just trying to get rid of the problem
- 5:44Speaker 1: and get back to your television.
- 5:45Speaker 2: By 1 o'clock. I'm just trying to kick the bucket
- 5:47Speaker 2: until today. Right.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You call someone up. It's 2.30 in the afternoon, maybe 3, 3.30.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You're waiting around all day. You're not focused on football.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You just wanted to watch football, and you didn't care
- 5:57Speaker 1: about the Wasp. And so now the wife is mad
- 6:01Speaker 1: at you, right? And she's not.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I thought I had solved the problem. I thought I
- 6:06Speaker 2: had killed the wasps, shut the window, stopped the infestation.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Apparently I did not. Okay. So now I am regulated
- 6:15Speaker 2: to being in my kid's room to record this stuff
- 6:19Speaker 2: on my laptop. And my office is shut off.
- 6:26Speaker 1: When your wife saw you in that bandana, tied very tightly, shirtless,
- 6:31Speaker 1: were you shirtless or were you just without arms?
- 6:34Speaker 2: Without sleeves? Listen, I had a can of Raid strapped
- 6:38Speaker 2: around my chest like bullets.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'm just wondering if you found that attractive at all.
- 6:46Speaker 2: She did until she got a headache from the toxic
- 6:49Speaker 2: fumes in the air.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You were headed towards some sort of uh sensual evening you.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Think maybe i was listen i was just sitting there
- 7:00Speaker 2: going like who wouldn't find this i'm sitting here protecting
- 7:04Speaker 2: my family right from this infestation of things that want
- 7:08Speaker 2: to harm my children and my wife and i'm not
- 7:11Speaker 2: in my house right not here yeah this is where
- 7:13Speaker 2: mike lives right and not he'll be damned if you're
- 7:16Speaker 2: going to come in his house uninvited yeah but really
- 7:20Speaker 2: i was probably screaming very high pitched and.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I didn't know that about Raid. Taylor, were you aware
- 7:25Speaker 1: of that? I figured Raid, you could use it inside, outside.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I mean, what are we doing here?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Well, this particular can was for outdoor use only to
- 7:34Speaker 2: kill wasps.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And it was very clear.
- 7:36Speaker 2: There's a reason why is what I've learned. And it
- 7:41Speaker 2: very clearly states it on the bottle. I do not.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I would love to blame Raid, but it very clearly
- 7:46Speaker 2: states on the bottle for outdoor use only.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Stu Gatz, these two hands have never picked up a
- 7:52Speaker 3: bottle of Raid.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You think these two have? But I love Mikey just
- 8:00Speaker 1: shooting his shots everywhere and not caring that he's getting
- 8:03Speaker 1: Raid all over the city.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You're inaccurate. Listen, tell that to the wasps I'm inaccurate.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You're the Malik Willis of exterminators.
