- 1:16Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 114.
- 1:19Dayna Roselli: The BTS Army takes over Las Vegas.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: The impression the K-pop group is leaving on our city.
- 1:26Sean McAllister: And a new Las Vegas attraction had us flying over Iceland.
- 1:30Sean McAllister: Hear what it's all about and why you may want to take flight on your next trip to the strip.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I did that.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: You're going to hit the cliff.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: And the Backstreet Boys kick off their DNA World Tour at the Coliseum for two weekends.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: And the production, it was top-notch.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: House shows are really stepping it up lately.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: Dana's still singing.
- 2:07Sean McAllister: Let's get right to it and spin the wheel.
- 2:28Sean McAllister: I mean, let me tell you, when the BTS Army comes to town, the entire town feels it.
- 2:34Sean McAllister: Without a doubt.
- 2:35Sean McAllister: BTS doing two weekends of shows over at uh Allegiant Stadium.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: Uh, the second weekend of shows happening right now.
- 2:44Sean McAllister: But let me tell you, Las Vegas has totally gone purple in honor of BTS and their fans being here in Las Vegas.
- 2:55Sean McAllister: And there have been some really cool experiences popping up all over town, too.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and if you don't know who BTS is, well, then you're living under a rock.
- 3:03Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: I did have to explain to some older family members recently, and then they knew as soon as I played the music.
- 3:10Dayna Roselli: Oh, I like that song, butter.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: I like that song, Dynamite.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: So it takes a minute, but yeah, BTS, huge K-pop group.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: They were in town for the Grammys, which lined up perfectly with their two shows, or excuse me, two weekends of four shows at Allegiant Stadium.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: But yeah, things like when you can actually have the Bellagio fountains change for you, you know you're a big deal.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: And I say you, but there's how many?
- 3:36Dayna Roselli: Eight?
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: And I should know because I know the people listening are gonna give me a hard time because I don't know the number of people.
- 3:41Sean McAllister: I think there's seven of them.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: Okay, seven.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: Should we Google it?
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: We know there are a lot of BTS members.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: That's all we know.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: And we had someone write us on Twitter going, You really need to talk about the band members more.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: And like, listen, here in America, it's I don't want to say it's new to us.
- 3:59Dayna Roselli: We know them, but as far as like really knowing all the ins and outs of every member of the band, we're still learning.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: We are, but we can confirm there are seven members.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: Okay, seven members.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: See, I I I like moved right to eight because that's my life number.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: Well, I mean, BTS is bringing life to so many people here in Las Vegas right now, so I can understand how you you could be feeling that vibe.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: So, okay, so they changed the fountains like the music, right?
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: And coordinated the fountains to a couple of their hits, which is pretty incredible.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: And they were able to go out and see it and and watch it, and what an honor.
- 4:36Sean McAllister: Well, and it takes an hour to program just one minute of a Bellagio fountain show.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: So when you think that I mean, that's a m big undertaking to design the the way that the water dances and choreograph that to the music and to to program all of that, and then you know, there's a big unveiling out there with a lot of BTS fans.
- 5:00Sean McAllister: They were dancing on the sidewalks, getting into it.
- 5:04Sean McAllister: So that is that is an honor that that does not go to many artists.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: There's just a handful of people who can say, Yeah, I've got my music that the Bellagio Fountains are choreographed to.
- 5:17Sean McAllister: So good on BTS.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really incredible.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Um, and that's just one of many, many things that have just sort of popped up in Las Vegas since then.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: And I say that because there's a pop-up shop at Fashion Show, which is our huge, gorgeous mall on the Las Vegas strip, and they have like a merchandise shop there with all sorts of BTS stuff for all the fans that are in town.
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: Uh and you really have to cater to them because this is, you know, like you said, uh, two weekends of shows, sold-out shows.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: So some people might stay for all the shows, but I'm I think I'm thinking we have like two waves of people coming in, right?
- 5:54Sean McAllister: More than likely, yeah.
- 5:55Sean McAllister: I think that the that's how the majority of people are gonna see.
- 6:00Sean McAllister: They maybe they came for the first uh weekend of shows, came early, maybe stayed over a little later, and now we have the second weekend of fans who are coming in.
- 6:10Sean McAllister: But you know, we could have some holdovers who just needed to be here for the whole experience.
- 6:15Sean McAllister: Right, right.
- 6:15Sean McAllister: And there is a big fan experience for BTS over at Area 15 as well.
- 6:21Sean McAllister: There's you know shops, food, beverage, immersive experiences, so uh no shortage of BTS activities.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I think I saw Mandalay Bay was doing some like uh cocktails and menus, you know, and all that kind of thing.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, definitely serving uh, you know, that BTS Army group, and everyone's getting on it.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: You see the governor tweeting, the mayor tweeting, everyone's getting in on it because the BTS Army on Twitter is in full effect, right?
- 6:49Sean McAllister: It is, it is.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: And it's been so much fun to see.
- 6:52Dayna Roselli: I was reading some of the reviews.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: We didn't get to the show, but we know let's see.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: So when we're recording this, there's already been one weekend.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: We still have shows coming up um this coming weekend, the podcast drops on that weekend, but interesting to read some of the reviews, and I have not read a bad thing.
- 7:09Dayna Roselli: Everyone's saying like this show was full of energy, the choreography was tight, the crowd was on fire, um, you know, their message was inspiring, and how really like the whole stadium kind of became one, and I guess you know, that is really why so many people love this group.
- 7:29Sean McAllister: Well, and I loved uh seeing uh video and pictures from the the concerts, and you know those light up wristbands that you get?
- 7:37Sean McAllister: They had those, and it spelled out Las Vegas across the the sections inside Allegiant Stadium, and the staging was great, the the visuals I mean they were they are dynamite.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: They are, they really are impressive, impressive.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: And they seem like you know, just a great group of nice guys.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: I mean, enjoyed their performance at the Grammys.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: I thought that was really good and love to see them in America making waves over here.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: And you know, as everyone says, their music is uplifting and it's positive and it's fun, and why not?
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: We could all use that.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: And BTS to the band and to the BTS Army, you are all welcome in Las Vegas whenever you want.
- 8:19Sean McAllister: Whenever.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: For as long as you want.
- 8:21Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 8:22Dayna Roselli: They are a great group of people.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: We love it.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: The fans are wonderful.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: Um, switching gears a little bit to a different boy band, Backstreet Boys.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: I was able to go to their show at the Coliseum.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: It kicked off their DNA World Tour.
- 8:34Dayna Roselli: This is a tour they were supposed to do a couple times.
- 8:37Dayna Roselli: I think it was twice, right?
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: Maybe just once, and it was canceled during COVID.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: I thought they were gonna try and bring it back, and then again they said, eh, we're not ready.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: So anyway, they are not doing a residency currently, but they were doing two weekends, same weekends as actually as BTS, at the Coliseum to kick off the world tour.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: I went to the show and I just have to compliment the production.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: I mean, I was in such uh awe of how the show opened, how they utilized all the screens in the Coliseum, the lights, you know, the pre-recorded videos that they did of the group, you know, really cool.
- 9:12Dayna Roselli: The whole thing, it was just amazing, visually stunning.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: And it reminded me a little of, you know, when we watched Sting, you and I went to see Sting at the Coliseum and great use of the lights and the screens as well.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: And I love what the Coliseum is doing and giving a little bit of a kind of different kind of creativity for these groups that are performing in there.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: For me, I thought it was wonderful.
- 9:33Dayna Roselli: They had amazing transitions, they had a stage that lifted above this square of screens, which was really cool because they were up uh toward the balcony.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: You know, they didn't come forward like Luke Bryan does in Resorts World, but they raised up, and the production was incredible.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: So they did a lot of their album, the DNA album, and then they switched into a lot of the songs that everyone has known for so many years, you know, Backstreets Back and all that, and the place went crazy.
- 10:01Dayna Roselli: Um, so it was a good show.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: Um, they have two more again this upcoming weekend when this podcast drops at the Coliseum.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Loved having them, and you asked me, did they say anything about you know doing another residency?
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: And they didn't they didn't say anything, but we'll see, you know.
- 10:15Sean McAllister: Although we've talked with uh Nick Carter several times here on Vegas Revealed, and he has said, Yeah, as soon as the world tour wraps up, then yep, we want to be back in Vegas.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: I know.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: They do, they like it here, they do, and fans like them being here, right?
- 10:33Sean McAllister: Right.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: And it was interesting because you know, this is a kickoff of more of a concert type tour, right, than uh an actual show.
- 10:41Dayna Roselli: So I was surprised that they did as much as they did with the screens.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: It was so cool.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: Um, I'm wondering if the arenas that they'll play in, you know, will have the same thing.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: But I was thinking it was very different than their Zappos theater show at Planet Hollywood.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: Obviously, it's a different show, but then they did kind of put the white outfits on and kind of went back to what they did there.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: So it was a little bit I felt like the Coliseum show was a mix of kind of a residency feel slash concert for Backstreet Boys.
- 11:06Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 11:06Sean McAllister: And and especially when it came to the the set list, right?
- 11:09Sean McAllister: You know, especially performing so much of the the material off their DNA album, which you would expect for their DNA tour.
- 11:17Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:17Sean McAllister: Doing a tour to promote the album, um, which d that's not necessarily how you would uh stack a set list if you were doing a Vegas residency.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: No, yeah, I was saying I must say the opening was incredible, and then you know, uh the first like two songs I didn't know very well uh because I hadn't listened continuously to the DNA album.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: And so I was more music.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: I would have opened with something maybe a little bit more familiar.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: That's just me, but then again, I'm not familiar.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: If you're a Backstreet Boys, you know, fan, Die Hard, you knew exactly what song that was and what they were singing.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: But I felt like to serve the mass group of people in there, they could have started with like an older Backstreet Boys song.
- 11:59Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, we like what we like, right?
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: I mean, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: But uh, it was good.
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: They were in great spirits, and they just seem like they're having a lot of fun.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: I love to see them up there, kind of like when they walk by each other, you know, a little fist bump, a little pat on the shoulder.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: And we put some videos up on our TikTok, and the fans are loving all the little moments of like, you know, like Nick and Brian, you know, kind of singing together and that kind of thing.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: Oh.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: So Backstreets back and go see their world tour.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: I'm sure they will be at a city near you soon.
- 12:34Sean McAllister: And moving to a different kind of show on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 12:38Sean McAllister: Last week we checked out something that's really pretty cool and pretty new, too.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: It's called Fly Over Las Vegas.
- 12:45Sean McAllister: It's located in that movie theater complex that's right there by the MGM Grand.
- 12:51Sean McAllister: It's in the same building as the Hard Rock Cafe across the street from New York, New York.
- 12:57Sean McAllister: And it really is a cool new attraction that you don't get anywhere else in Las Vegas.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Sean and I are here at Flyover Las Vegas, and we just finished a flyover of Iceland.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: And Sean, I gotta admit, I'm a little emotional.
- 13:13Sean McAllister: I know.
- 13:14Sean McAllister: I wasn't expecting to feel all the feels that I felt, but it's uh it was a nice surprise.
- 13:20Sean McAllister: Jack Ken is the general manager here at Flyover Las Vegas.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: Jack, what does it take to put on the production that you're showing to everyone who comes here?
- 13:31Sean McAllister: And by the way, you are just steps off of Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, yeah, we're right on the strip, and that's a that's an important piece.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, what it takes is really an amazing team, an amazing team of storytellers, because that's what we call ourselves.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: The ride is the ride, it's fantastic, it's amazing, it's it's what people connect with, but we focus on the telling of the story from the time you walk in the door until the time that you're walking out the door with a you know with a yard cup of margarita from our Lost Cactus Bar.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: Um, that's the most important piece.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: So, what it takes is uh an army of people, 18 months, you know, to do the film, to do the build out of all of our stuff, um, and really just a dedicated group of storytellers.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: Well, and let's explain for folks that are listening uh what it's all about.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: Uh flyover Las Vegas, you have different experiences.
- 14:21Dayna Roselli: We just experienced Iceland, which was incredible.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: And we got in, we buckled up, we did the whole nine, it was moving, we felt we felt water, mist at our face.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: Tell me a little bit about all that.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so um fly over Las Vegas is a flight ride.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: And so uh a flight ride is exactly what you explained.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Our guests sit down in a chair, and it's a mesh chair, and it's a mesh chair on purpose so that wind can go through you.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: So it literally, we want to make you feel as if you're sitting on the back of a bird and the bird is just flying through all these beautiful, amazing, emotional places, and you're feeling everything the bird feels.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: If there's a little bit of mist, if there's a little bit of wind, if they're smelling the lavender, if you're smelling different things going through, we want to make the guests feel as if they're literally flying in midair and they forget that they're in a seat buckled in with their feet dangling.
- 15:11Sean McAllister: Well, mission accomplished, because it the everything that you just explained, I felt.
- 15:18Sean McAllister: And I mean, it's such an incredible thing that I have never experienced in Las Vegas before or anywhere else.
- 15:26Sean McAllister: I've done flight attractions before, but never something that was this visceral.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think one of the things for us and what sets us apart from other flight rides is our creative team, they understand how the ride machine works.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: So when they're shooting the film, they're thinking about okay, I'm gonna move the machine like this.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: Here they are flying in a helicopter at whatever miles per hour, trying to get the shot with a with a single shot camera, and in the back of their heads they're going, yeah, but we have to think about the machine, you know.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: And so there's a lot of flight rides out there that have, you know, one point or two points of axes.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: They have a simple movement.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: We have six move six points of axes, which just makes the the flight so much smoother.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: We can subtly move you left and right, up and down, forward, backwards.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: So we can we can make sure that you are literally suspended in midair and you like, oh my god, I mean, there's so many moments that people lift their feet because you feel like you're gonna hit the water or you're gonna hit the cliff.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: And I do it too, and I've seen the I've seen it 150 times now, you know, since we've opened, and I still do it every time.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: Well, it's funny because in the world of virtual and you know, animation, I had to ask when I got off the ride, like, are is this like, am I really seeing Iceland?
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: Is are are these real images from Iceland?
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: And they are.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: They're absolutely all real images, yeah.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: And um 99% of them are shot from a helicopter.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: The one shot that we shoot from a drone is the is the the fireworks at the end.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Because obviously you can't fly a helicopter over fireworks because that wouldn't be good.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: We would need another pilot and another helicopter, etc.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Um, but no, the rest of it is it's all live places, there's no color enhancements, there's no digital, there's no CG.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: It's literally, this is real life.
- 17:15unknown: Wow.
- 17:16Sean McAllister: And so we just experienced Iceland.
- 17:19Sean McAllister: What other flights do you have here at Fly Over Las Vegas?
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: So we also have a flight called the Real Wild West, and that takes you through a journey through the western United States.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: So it goes all down through Arizona, up through California, um, up to Washington, back down through Montana and down through.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: So it's an exploration of how the West became wild.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: So it starts in prehistoric times and it takes you on the journey of how the West was built and all that.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: And that's a much different experience than Iceland, right?
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: So with each of the films, there's a different ride.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: There's a different feeling on the ride.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: It's the same seat, it's the same screen, same technology, but the ride is completely different, again, because the story is completely different.
- 18:04Dayna Roselli: Well, and I was gonna say, I mean, it's interesting because you are on the strip, there are a lot of adult things about it here.
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: There's a bar, right?
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: And and it's an attraction.
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: But you can bring kids, and I do feel like, like, although we aren't catered to children here in Las Vegas, there are people who bring their kids in.
- 18:21Dayna Roselli: We see plenty of them on the strip, and they need something to do.
- 18:25Dayna Roselli: So this is also family friendly.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's amazingly family friendly.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, one of my favorite things is I I ride almost every day, because mostly because it's a stress reliever.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Um, but I always try to pick a ride that has kids.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Because when you go on the ride and you experience with the kids, it's a yet another level of experience of the ride.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: So we are absolutely family friendly.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Um and all ages friendly.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, we we have more senior groups than probably.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've worked on the strip for all my career.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: I worked for Circ, I worked for Blue Man, I've worked all all over.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: And we have more senior groups that come here than any other place that I've been.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: And they love it.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: They're like, we want to go again, we want to go again, you know?
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: And so, yeah, I mean, all ages, absolutely family, the kids love it.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: One of my favorite stories to tell is we early on we had a lot of families come in, and the dads would sit at the bar while the moms would take the kids in, and then the kids would come out and they're like, Oh my god, dad, you gotta go.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: And then the dad would go, like, we gotta go again, you know.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: And so it's really one of those activities that everybody in the family enjoys.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: It's not one of these things where only the dad or only the mom or only the kids.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: Everybody gets, everybody loves it, everybody gets a different experience out of it, and they're able to tell their own stories.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: I think the locals will like it too.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: And if you're visiting Las Vegas, you know, you're mostly walking, Sean, so you can like the parents can deal with getting a few cocktails in.
- 19:52Sean McAllister: You can get a few cocktails in, it's air conditioned, so it's great.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: If you're in Las Vegas in the summertime, it's a great uh kind of a uh hiatus, uh hibernation from everything that's going on outside on the strip.
- 20:08Sean McAllister: It brings you into a different world inside the building, but when you go to the theater, it transports you to another experience entirely.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: No, I I think it it's it's very true, and and it's very purposeful that we have you know our entrance on the strip and we call it the decompression zone because there's so much happening out there with people walking by and it's so stressful to get around and you don't know where you're going.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: So we come in and and the journey starts at the door, and you get your ticket and you you come in to our our beautiful bar.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: And look, for the parents out there, if you don't want to ride, sit at the bar and get 30 minutes of really cheap babysitting, alone time, daycare, alone time, have an adult beverage, your kids are gonna have a great time, and you're gonna have a great time.

- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Like you're in and out in 30 to 35 minutes, you know, max.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and and that's Vegas.
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: You know, we have a short attention span, but I I must admit I have seen scenes of Iceland on TV, but I have never experienced that.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: And I'm 46, so I mean to bring the kids and get the it's educational too.
- 21:29Sean McAllister: It is, it's educational, it it gets your imagination going, it gets your adventurous side going, and it makes you want to learn more and explore more.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: And that's exactly what you can do at Fly Over Vegas.
- 21:43Dayna Roselli: I mean, Sean and I own our own business, and uh let me tell you, did this go through your head when you're like, I need to travel more?
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: Yes, it completely did.
- 21:52Dayna Roselli: It did to me too.
- 21:53Dayna Roselli: I was like, I need to see the rest of the world.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: I've seen a lot of things, I feel very fortunate, but I've never been to.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: The parts of the world that like we just experienced.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, and do you get a lot of people telling you that after they experience this?
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we have a lot of people like, oh, I have to go to Iceland now.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: I have to travel to Iceland.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: I have to go, you know, I've never seen the Golden Gate Bridge.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: And that's we have a beautiful shot of the Golden Gate Bridge in the Wild West.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: And it's like, for us, it's like, yeah, we're West Coasters.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: We've seen it a thousand times.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: But people in, you know, Midwest or East Coast, they come here, they see all those things, they're like, oh wow, now I really gotta go physically see it in person because I just flew over it and I saw the top view.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Now I want to see the straight view.
- 22:35Sean McAllister: Well, we appreciate you letting us take a ride and fly over Iceland.
- 22:40Sean McAllister: We will absolutely be back to fly over the Wild West.
- 22:44Sean McAllister: And Dana, I have to say, fly over Las Vegas is at the top of the list of the must do attractions on the Vegas trip.
- 22:55Dayna Roselli: It was so much fun.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: Really.
- 22:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I love it.
- 22:58Dayna Roselli: It was something different, right?
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: It really was.
- 23:00Dayna Roselli: Real quick before we go, hours and days and all that kind of thing.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: We're open every day, nine to nine.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: Easy.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: 9-9, double nine.
- 23:08Dayna Roselli: Gonna play it.
- 23:09Dayna Roselli: Listen, thank you so much.
- 23:10Dayna Roselli: We loved it.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: Thank you guys so much.
- 23:12Sean McAllister: And then come back anytime.
- 23:14Sean McAllister: It was great to talk with Jack and it fly over Las Vegas really is a great attraction.
- 23:20Sean McAllister: So loved it.
- 23:22Sean McAllister: Get in there.
- 23:22Sean McAllister: It'll be a nice break from the summer heat if you're here in the next few months.
- 23:27Dayna Roselli: And the cocktails were good, too.
- 23:29Sean McAllister: And the cocktails are good.
- 23:30Sean McAllister: They're really good.
- 23:31Sean McAllister: I love that bar.
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: Do you ever say what bar don't you love?
- 23:36Sean McAllister: I I don't like full cash bars.
- 23:39Sean McAllister: Oh, that's right.
- 23:39Sean McAllister: You have to take my card.
- 23:42Sean McAllister: Let's talk about some of the new shows that have just been announced.
- 23:47Sean McAllister: Uh, starting with comedy, Chris Tucker is going to be here in Las Vegas for a two-night engagement over at the Encore Theater that's inside Win Las Vegas.
- 23:58Sean McAllister: The show dates are Friday, July 8th, and Saturday, July 9th.
- 24:03Sean McAllister: You can get tickets for both of those shows uh right now.
- 24:07Sean McAllister: The tickets are already on sale.
- 24:09Sean McAllister: So if you're a fan of Chris Tucker, that'll be a great show to check out.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and just real quick, speaking of the win, you and I are going next week to the revamped Lake of Dreams area at the win.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: So we'll talk more about that.
- 24:21Dayna Roselli: Um, great patio that they have where you can watch that Lake of Dreams show.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: It's been shut down for a little bit because they were redoing it.
- 24:27Dayna Roselli: So I'm excited to see what it looks like now.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: They always do everything right at the win, and they do.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: We're gonna try out some cocktails and all that.
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: So look forward to that next week.
- 24:35Sean McAllister: Oh, another bar.
- 24:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, another bar.
- 24:36Sean McAllister: I bet I like it.
- 24:38Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 24:39Dayna Roselli: Well, you know who's coming back?
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: This is my favorite.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: I love doing this.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: Mr.
- 24:43Dayna Roselli: Worldwide! I love Mr.
- 24:45Dayna Roselli: Worldwide.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: Pitbull is returning to the Zappos Theater.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: He had a residency there, you know, a couple times, right?
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: Or just came in for kind of like a bunch of shows.
- 24:55Dayna Roselli: He'd come in for like a slew of shows, leave, come back again.
- 24:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I guess a residency.
- 25:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:00Sean McAllister: And he's been back a couple times.
- 25:02Sean McAllister: I he that is such a great show.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: Pitbull is awesome.
- 25:07Dayna Roselli: He's so good.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: Um, he's coming back for Mexican Independence Day weekend.
- 25:13Dayna Roselli: So that's September 16th and 17th.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: And he's gonna be featuring special guest Sean Paul.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: That's pretty cool.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's all part of his North American Can't Stop Us Now tour.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: So he's stopping at Zappos, his old home, for some shows here in Las Vegas.
- 25:29Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 25:30Sean McAllister: Pitbull is such a great guy.
- 25:32Sean McAllister: His show has so much like over-the-top energy, where people are up dancing in the aisles.
- 25:38Sean McAllister: It's it's so much fun.
- 25:40Sean McAllister: If you get a chance, go see that show.
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really it really is good.
- 25:44Dayna Roselli: It's a lot of fun.
- 25:45Dayna Roselli: You can't go wrong with that one.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: No.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: Hey, over at the Penn and Teller Theater at the Rio, we had someone uh write us recently and say, Hey, I heard you're talking about Chippendales at the Rio, and you were talking about the Rio that it could use a little revamp and this and that.
- 25:57Dayna Roselli: But hey, I go there uh every time that I come into town and I go see Penn and Teller because they're legends, and I'm like, oh you know, I didn't mean to say I forgot Penn and Teller were there, but they've just been there so long, they're a staple.
- 26:10Sean McAllister: A hundred percent.
- 26:11Dayna Roselli: For such a long time at the Rio.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: Uh, but they're giving up their theater this summer.
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: I guess they've never done this before.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: Let somebody else come in and actually do a residency while they're gone, and they're gonna be on tour in Australia from May to like early July.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: And so they're turning over the keys, Sean.
- 26:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, Michael Carbonaro is coming in to take the space where uh Penn and Teller usually perform while they're out of the country.
- 26:40Sean McAllister: And like you said, Dana, this is a very rare thing.
- 26:44Sean McAllister: Never before have Penn and Teller trusted another entertainer to take over the Penn and Teller Theater and put on their own show until now.
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: Penn and Teller are fools, and I'll tell you why.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: They are trusting me to take over their theater this summer.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna have my very own Las Vegas residency at the Penn and Teller Theater at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino, May 26th through July 10th, Carbonaro performing in Las Vegas, Thursday through Sunday nights.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: You've gotta come and check it out.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: You can tell he's really excited, right, Sean?
- 27:20Dayna Roselli: Sure can.
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: He feels it's a magical experience.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: Hey, listen, I wanted to like read more about Michael.
- 27:26Dayna Roselli: So I was reading some of the quotes.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: So Penn says he's one of their favorite magicians, and he says they're so happy to be able to like present him in his first extended Las Vegas run.
- 27:35Dayna Roselli: And then I thought this was interesting.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: Teller says, I love Michael Carbonaro.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: He is a great friend of ours.
- 27:41Dayna Roselli: His magic is mind-blowing because he's such a madly great writer and actor.
- 27:47Dayna Roselli: He says, I see him about midway between Disney and the Rocky Horror Show.
- 27:52Dayna Roselli: So I thought that was an interesting description.
- 27:54Sean McAllister: That is interesting.
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I mean it seems like something different, different kind of.
- 27:58Sean McAllister: Especially coming from Teller who doesn't talk.
- 28:00Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 28:01Dayna Roselli: Well, uh you don't know.
- 28:02Sean McAllister: I guess he wrote this one down.
- 28:03Dayna Roselli: I I guess he wrote his thoughts on it.
- 28:04Sean McAllister: He wrote his thoughts on it.
- 28:07Dayna Roselli: It's magical.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: Uh so go check out uh Michael if you're in town, anywhere between Memorial Day and July 10th.
- 28:14Sean McAllister: Tickets are on sale now.
- 28:16Sean McAllister: Hey, let's get some tips.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: Dana, let's start out uh our tips this week with the return of a classic.
- 28:24Sean McAllister: So, Rumbar over at the Mirage.
- 28:29Sean McAllister: This I mean, this is a place I used to go all the time.
- 28:32Sean McAllister: You were regular for happy hour and just for a good hang over there.
- 28:38Sean McAllister: Uh it's like an ultra lounge kind of concept.
- 28:41Sean McAllister: It's got a little bit of inside it, but mostly an outdoor patio.
- 28:45Sean McAllister: Which is great.
- 28:46Sean McAllister: Because it's patients are the best.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: Well, it's weird because Las Vegas, it's rare.
- 28:50Dayna Roselli: It is rare to find patios.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 28:53Dayna Roselli: And everyone's like, it's so hot.
- 28:54Dayna Roselli: It's like it's hot for like three months where you can't like sit on the patio, but you can always sit on it at night.
- 29:00Sean McAllister: And there's always misters and fans.
- 29:03Sean McAllister: Like it's it is comfortable.
- 29:04Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:05Sean McAllister: Um, but we're off our soapbox now.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: Rumbar is coming back to the Mirage, revamped some new cocktails, uh, menu items, and uh some live music out there too.
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and when I was reading a little bit, because first of all, when Rumbar they announced it was closing, we wondered, well, and people were like, that's that's a bummer.
- 29:25Dayna Roselli: It's been around for a long time.
- 29:26Dayna Roselli: It has.
- 29:27Dayna Roselli: We weren't sure if it was gonna reopen.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: And so we're excited to hear something uh positive about that property because you know, there's been so much news of like, oh, this you know, hard rock's taking over, oh, they're revamping, they're getting rid of the volcano, and everyone's kind of been like poo-pooing the mirage lately.
- 29:42Sean McAllister: Right.
- 29:42Dayna Roselli: But it's nice to know that the rum bar is reopening this week and it's got a new vibe.
- 29:48Dayna Roselli: And I was reading that it has tasty bar bites, and I was like, okay, there's food there now because I didn't remember there being food before, but I could be wrong.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: But I remember like if I went there to meet someone, I was like, you could never get a snack, but maybe but I could be wrong, but I I think I'm right.
- 30:03Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 30:04Sean McAllister: See, I always just went there to drink anyway.
- 30:06Sean McAllister: I know.
- 30:06Dayna Roselli: So I like a little something something because I'm a lightweight.
- 30:11Sean McAllister: So this coming week, uh, April 20th, the Mirage debuts, the all-new redesigned rum bar over there, uh, right along the strip.
- 30:21Sean McAllister: It's good for people watching too, by the way.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, cocktails.
- 30:27Dayna Roselli: Uh, apparently they're gonna have like cigar area, outdoor patio, live music, light bites, elevated culinary fair, cigar menu, I should say, and then nightly entertainment.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: So enjoy that.
- 30:39Dayna Roselli: Apparently, there's some cool greenery out there too, and some 70s inspired prints and style that bring energy to the space, according to the press release.
- 30:47Sean McAllister: All right.
- 30:47Sean McAllister: Okay, I like that.
- 30:48Sean McAllister: I love some 70s prints and style.
- 30:52Dayna Roselli: All right, let's uh move on to Nobu.
- 30:54Dayna Roselli: Everyone loves Nobu, right?
- 30:56Dayna Roselli: There's one at Caesar's Palace.
- 30:57Dayna Roselli: There is.
- 30:58Dayna Roselli: And in other places around the world, but we told you one was going to be opening at the Paris Las Vegas, and now it's officially open.
- 31:05Dayna Roselli: I love when you say the chef's name instead of me.
- 31:07Sean McAllister: Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
- 31:09Dayna Roselli: Yes, that.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: I love him.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: He came and ate with us when we went to Nobu's like event that they had this year, and we he's we sat next to each other and had so much fun.
- 31:19Sean McAllister: Chef Nobu is such a character.
- 31:21Dayna Roselli: He really is.
- 31:22Sean McAllister: He's hilarious, and he's kind of a jokester.
- 31:25Dayna Roselli: He is such a jokester.
- 31:27Dayna Roselli: We were having so much fun.
- 31:28Dayna Roselli: So he's ex- he was, you know, really excited about this Paris Las Vegas location opening.
- 31:33Dayna Roselli: Um, it is officially open, and apparently it's uh some of his signature dishes, but in a lighter, more intimate atmosphere.
- 31:41Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to check that out.
- 31:42Dayna Roselli: You and I might go to the opus opening of Lisa Vanderpump's new cocktail uh garden restaurant at Paris.
- 31:50Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to walk by Nobu and check that out and maybe next week have a little bit of a, you know, our own eyes.
- 31:56Dayna Roselli: You know, we can see how how how it differs from the one that they have at Caesars.
- 32:00Sean McAllister: Right.
- 32:01Sean McAllister: And so, you know, the staple restaurants over there now at Paris, Nobu is obviously a staple, Monomiga B, right up there, stripside, always amazing French dining.
- 32:12Sean McAllister: You have Gordon Ramsay Steak, uh, you have Lisa Vanderpump's new spot, and also uh Martha Stewart's restaurant is coming to Paris, Las Vegas as well.
- 32:22Sean McAllister: So they're really redefining their culinary experience.
- 32:25Dayna Roselli: I really feel like that's a big uh like do-over for Paris, right?
- 32:29Dayna Roselli: It kind of like like steps them up a notch.
- 32:32Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 32:33Dayna Roselli: That's some.
- 32:33Sean McAllister: Those are gonna be some great spots that are attract that's gonna be attraction dining.
- 32:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, for sure.
- 32:39Dayna Roselli: But do they have a show in the theater yet?
- 32:41Sean McAllister: I don't I don't think so.
- 32:42Sean McAllister: I mean, it's strange, right?
- 32:44Sean McAllister: The last thing I remember being in there was that show Ignite.
- 32:49Sean McAllister: It was like a a fire show, like st fire and stunts.
- 32:54Sean McAllister: Um but I mean that was a while ago.
- 32:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, I don't recall anything being in that theater in a little bit.
- 33:01Dayna Roselli: It was kind of like revolving after Jersey Boys left.
- 33:03Dayna Roselli: There hasn't been like a staple.
- 33:05Dayna Roselli: I think that Salt and Peppa tried to do a little bit of a residency.
- 33:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 33:09Sean McAllister: The 90s residency.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: I mean, fabulous might have just not been the right theater for them.
- 33:14Dayna Roselli: But yeah.
- 33:14Dayna Roselli: So anyway, uh I look I I bet all with all this, I could only imagine there's a lot of shows that want to get in that theater.
- 33:20Dayna Roselli: Absolutely.
- 33:21Dayna Roselli: Because the dining is gonna bring, you know, in a great crowd of people.
- 33:25Sean McAllister: It sure is.
- 33:26Dayna Roselli: So that's our tips.
- 33:27Dayna Roselli: Let's quickly talk about targeted tax relief, our sponsor.

- 35:07Sean McAllister: Um, she has ways to start thinking forward about proactively getting your tax stuff in order.
- 35:15Sean McAllister: And it's really great advice.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: And I was just texting with her, and she said, you know, the latest post that she just put up, she said the IRS has paused certain collection notices during filing season, but the problems are still there to get resolved.
- 35:27Dayna Roselli: So penalties and interest still accruing, all that kind of thing.

- 35:50Dayna Roselli: What else are we doing?
- 35:51Dayna Roselli: Um, there's a new gosh, what I feel like this is such an agenda.
- 35:55Dayna Roselli: Um this is where I forget.
- 35:56Dayna Roselli: You and I are like, can somebody move something to May?
- 35:59Sean McAllister: I know.
- 36:00Dayna Roselli: Everything is oh um April has been jam-packed.
- 36:03Dayna Roselli: Well, the Palms will be opening on the 27th, so we'll be over there to check that out.
- 36:07Dayna Roselli: Also, uh working on an interview uh with the big boss over there to try and get some more details about the new palms after it reopens.
- 36:15Sean McAllister: The NFL draft is coming to town the last week of April.
- 36:19Sean McAllister: Actually, there's already some uh road closures and parking lot closures around the strip that are uh in effect right now as we as we speak, in order for uh crews to start getting ready for the NFL draft.
- 36:35Sean McAllister: They're having a big red carpet out on the Bellagio Fountains.
- 36:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's gonna be really cool.
- 36:41Dayna Roselli: Uh you and I go into John Legends opening on April 22nd as well, over at Zappos Theater.
- 36:47Dayna Roselli: This is John's first residency, so that's kind of cool.
- 36:50Dayna Roselli: They're opening a new attraction over at Area 15 called Illuminarium, and they're doing some events centering around that.
- 37:01Dayna Roselli: Gosh, what else?
- 37:02Dayna Roselli: I feel like it's been never ending.
- 37:04Dayna Roselli: Well, it's the Easter holiday, too, is here.
- 37:06Sean McAllister: It is.
- 37:06Dayna Roselli: And uh your birthday.
- 37:08Sean McAllister: My birthday.
- 37:09Dayna Roselli: Yep.
