- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Knows women do this.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Egg freezing is all about being able to have biological children.
- 0:17Speaker 3: More and more people will do this. I had clients
- 0:19Speaker 3: like crazy who did this. It makes a lot of sense.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Now very few women who go in. I remember all
- 0:23Speaker 3: my clients who had their eggs frozen would come in
- 0:25Speaker 3: and we would talk about how smart it was and
- 0:29Speaker 3: why they were doing it. Not one of them says,
- 0:31Speaker 3: and I'm considering running for president.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And now handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:38Speaker 1: Bill Handle. All right, good morning.
- 0:42Speaker 3: It's a two go Tuesday Taco Tuesday or two go
- 0:46Speaker 3: talk to go to Tuesday Tacos. It's the Chaloopa Tuesday. Okay,
- 0:59Speaker 3: let me hello to the crowd. First of all, Neil,
- 1:03Speaker 3: good morning to you.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Good morning buddy. All right, we just oh.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I didn't mention that just and this is not that
- 1:11Speaker 3: it's hugely important, but our ratings better than they have
- 1:15Speaker 3: been in a bazillion.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Years, which you know.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Just just wanted to share that with you so we
- 1:22Speaker 3: can feel important.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Just say you're welcome.
- 1:25Speaker 3: No, we did, and I would ignore it anyway. Will
- 1:29Speaker 3: good morning, Good morning, sir, all right, and good morning.
- 1:32Speaker 2: To you, good morning.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Good morning, and then one yes, con O, good morning,
- 1:39Speaker 3: good morning, and you're welcome.
- 1:41Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you for nothing, all right for you?
- 1:45Speaker 4: You just not enough Amy, good morning.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Hey, we got the bad news.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I know you're going to be talking about it and
- 1:52Speaker 3: have talked about how Jackie did not survive. And obviously
- 1:57Speaker 3: I thought of you instantly because you are you're so
- 2:00Speaker 3: engaged have been in this story, and what I was
- 2:03Speaker 3: thinking of it and this is is and I don't
- 2:07Speaker 3: know if you take this into account, because I know
- 2:09Speaker 3: for you, it's incredibly painful, and it's kind of a
- 2:12Speaker 3: drag too.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I mean, it really is.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And that is her death was not man made at all.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It wasn't because of habitat, it wasn't because she ran
- 2:22Speaker 3: into a power line. It was just nature doing what
- 2:25Speaker 3: nature does. And I don't know if that makes you
- 2:28Speaker 3: feel better, because this is just the way the world works.
- 2:32Speaker 4: It does, okay, it does, I mean yeah, I mean
- 2:35Speaker 4: that's what One of the things that we've learned from
- 2:37Speaker 4: watching this over the years is that nature happens, and
- 2:40Speaker 4: sometimes it can be very cruel. I mean, you know,
- 2:43Speaker 4: we've watched the chicks hatch and then die in the nest.
- 2:46Speaker 4: I mean it's and it's heartbreaking, but and you know
- 2:49Speaker 4: it's part of life.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yeah, and I will tell even you know. I'm not
- 2:55Speaker 3: a big fan of nature, as you know. I think
- 2:59Speaker 3: I think nature is basically bs as you probably know that.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Just all right, if I ever, if I were single again,
- 3:08Speaker 3: I would I'd run an ad. I'd go on the
- 3:11Speaker 3: internet with these dating services and say, I don't like
- 3:15Speaker 3: walking along the beach. I don't like going to the forest.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Do you like pas?
- 3:22Speaker 3: I like? I like virgin pina coladas. The alcohol ruins it.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I don't like trees. I like sitting on my ass
- 3:31Speaker 3: watching TV and eating Costco burritos.
- 3:35Speaker 2: How about it? Baby? You want a date? So I
- 3:39Speaker 2: wouldn't do very well.
- 3:40Speaker 4: And imagine that he's off the market.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and imagine someone actually married me twice. Yeah, I
- 3:47Speaker 3: know it's frightening, but I was thinking of you, So
- 3:51Speaker 3: you know, sorry it happened, And I am because I know.
- 3:55Speaker 2: That it's a big deal for you. It was a
- 3:57Speaker 2: deal to a lot of people. It was. So now
- 3:59Speaker 2: what happened ends to shadow boxing.
- 4:02Speaker 4: The shadow is just he's on summer vacation right now,
- 4:05Speaker 4: that's what they call it.
- 4:06Speaker 2: What happens, because don't you get a new mate?
- 4:09Speaker 3: Okay, don't they mate for life?
- 4:14Speaker 4: She actually hooked up with Shadow after she was with
- 4:19Speaker 4: mister B.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Somehow there was cheated, she cheated, she was chatting around
- 4:25Speaker 3: on him.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I don't think she cheated. I think that Shadow won
- 4:28Speaker 4: her in a fight or something.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That's how I got my wife. No, it's a pool game.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I'm sorry. That's right. That's how I got my wife.
- 4:39Speaker 3: But I lost the fight and I still got her
- 4:41Speaker 3: because the winner said you could have her leave that load.
- 4:46Speaker 4: But ye, Shadow will probably go on and he'll find
- 4:49Speaker 4: a new mate. But we won't know about that for
- 4:51Speaker 4: a while.
- 4:52Speaker 2: And then are they going to use the same nest?
- 4:54Speaker 4: Well, that's the other thing we were talking about, and
- 4:55Speaker 4: I was researching that a little bit. And generally eagles
- 4:59Speaker 4: make new nests the new pairs do. This is a
- 5:02Speaker 4: perfectly good nest, so.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Especially when you consider the cost of nesting these days, affordability,
- 5:12Speaker 3: affordability and the nesting community is it's a big deal. Okay,
- 5:18Speaker 3: it's it's kind of fun to see. And if you
- 5:19Speaker 3: ever Alaska or a northern part of the United States.
- 5:23Speaker 3: You see these the bald eagles, and they are astounding
- 5:26Speaker 3: to see. I mean, they're magnificent, They're absolutely beautiful. Do
- 5:28Speaker 3: you know what I had heard? I don't know if
- 5:30Speaker 3: this is true or not, but I think so. There
- 5:32Speaker 3: was talk originally of the national bird of the United States.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Being the turkey. Franklin, I think it was.
- 5:40Speaker 3: And now I don't know if that's an urban myth
- 5:42Speaker 3: or not, but can you imagine the turkey as opposed
- 5:45Speaker 3: to the bald eagle. I mean, bald eagles are magnificent,
- 5:50Speaker 3: they are just there.
- 5:51Speaker 2: They're tremendous, belietful birds. If they picked the turkey, would
- 5:56Speaker 2: we be eating bald eagle? For yes we would, Yes,
- 5:59Speaker 2: we will good and we wouldn't be able to eat turkey.
- 6:03Speaker 2: That's correct. That would be the national bird. Have you
- 6:05Speaker 2: ever eaten eagle? By the way, No, not bad.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I got to tell you it's it's it can be.
- 6:11Speaker 3: It's very tasty under certain circumstances. Okay, see I had
- 6:17Speaker 3: to go kick Amy. Come on, I gave you all
- 6:20Speaker 3: the kudos. I was gracious, I was I cared and yeah,
- 6:25Speaker 3: come on, weren't you waiting for the other foot to drop.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, of course.
- 6:31Speaker 3: But anyway, no, I do feel bad, especially for you
- 6:34Speaker 3: because I know how I invested and engaged you were
- 6:38Speaker 3: with that one. All right, guys, you ready to do it?
- 6:41Speaker 2: It is time.
- 6:42Speaker 3: It is time for some news. Handle on the news
- 6:45Speaker 3: with Amy Neil and me lead story. The President out
- 6:51Speaker 3: did himself signing an executive order yesterday for revamping childhood
- 6:55Speaker 3: vaccines and basically taking the big one is the mm
- 7:00Speaker 3: ARE vaccine, the measles, mumps, rubella. Also there's the distemper
- 7:05Speaker 3: and the parvo vaccines that are given to kids, and
- 7:09Speaker 3: he wants to separate out there the vaccines that put
- 7:14Speaker 3: together the MMR and saying, let's separate them out and
- 7:18Speaker 3: we'll give three different vaccines. And you know, the medical
- 7:23Speaker 3: community is going, are you guys, are you crazy? And
- 7:27Speaker 3: Bill Cassidy, the doctor whose vote by the way confirmed RFK,
- 7:32Speaker 3: like an idiot and he knows he's an idiot, basically
- 7:35Speaker 3: ripped and ripped into Trump no scientific evidence. A matter
- 7:39Speaker 3: of fact, it's a deterrent to vaccinations that what Trump did,
- 7:44Speaker 3: because now a kid, early kid, I mean a young
- 7:48Speaker 3: kid now has to undergo three different vaccinations for the
- 7:52Speaker 3: same protect at three different times. So that's I mean,
- 7:57Speaker 3: it just makes no sense. And then redoceost the the
- 8:03Speaker 3: requirements or at least reduced the what's the word I'm
- 8:08Speaker 3: looking for here the.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Exactly anyway? Reduced?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Hey, I get paid for this, and our ratings are
- 8:17Speaker 3: through the roof. I want to be at them.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Not the schedule.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Number of No, it sounds like okay, two syllables. It
- 8:32Speaker 3: reduced the number recommended, thank you very much, bill of
- 8:35Speaker 3: recommended vaccines from eighteen down to eleven. In the medical community,
- 8:40Speaker 3: you're going completely out of your mind. And the President again,
- 8:44Speaker 3: of course, which he does in terms of these kinds
- 8:47Speaker 3: of issues, came up with absolutely bs reasons, no scientific basis.
- 8:54Speaker 2: This is all. But this is not a mandate, right,
- 8:57Speaker 2: It's an option, Yeah, it is. What is is recommendation.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Oh, it is a rec but with the government recommends
- 9:03Speaker 3: people follow. And now you have you have parents who
- 9:08Speaker 3: oh my god. The government under Trump but says we, oh,
- 9:11Speaker 3: we should have fewer vaccines, we should have no vaccines.
- 9:16Speaker 3: You know. RFK Junior is still is still touting autism.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Oh and the president touted autism. That's what he said,
- 9:25Speaker 3: is that there is evidence that vaccines cause autism. There
- 9:29Speaker 3: is zero evidence that that one cause autism.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Zero. From the autistic people or people on the spectrum
- 9:37Speaker 2: that I've met, I'd rather have more of them and
- 9:40Speaker 2: less of the rest of us, quite honestly. They're kind, smart,
- 9:47Speaker 2: interesting people. They never look in the eye. Are jackasses.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, they look down a lot. They don't speak very much.
- 9:54Speaker 3: We have it backwards, you know what, that's not a
- 9:57Speaker 3: bad point. Okay, let's let's do one more and then
- 9:59Speaker 3: we'll take a break.
- 10:01Speaker 4: The search for survivors is on. Rescuers are digging through
- 10:06Speaker 4: the rubble of collapsed buildings in western Columbia for survivors.
- 10:10Speaker 4: The country at its strongest earthquake this century. It has
- 10:15Speaker 4: killed at least one hundred and sixty people so far.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Emergency teams in the worst affected areas, including Calli and Perorrhea,
- 10:23Speaker 4: have been working through the night, listening for signs of life,
- 10:27Speaker 4: trying to reach people who are trapped beneath concrete and
- 10:30Speaker 4: debris from the seven point four earthquake.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Yeah, there are going to be a lot of deaths
- 10:34Speaker 3: in the thousands. Did you see the video of those
- 10:36Speaker 3: buildings collapsing.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, just freaking movie.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Well, we were talking about that too, Like they showed
- 10:43Speaker 4: the street people standing in the street and it just
- 10:47Speaker 4: starts like going up and down and you're just sitting
- 10:49Speaker 4: there going wow and just watching them try to stay
- 10:53Speaker 4: standing up and then the buildings behind them collapsing. I
- 10:56Speaker 4: mean the videos, it's incredible.
- 10:58Speaker 2: And the way it moves like it wasn't just moving
- 11:01Speaker 2: in one direction.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Like.
- 11:04Speaker 3: It goes up and down, sideways, back and forth. Yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 3: and it lasts. Uh, one of the longer lasts, of course,
- 11:10Speaker 3: the more damage.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Oh. By the way, we got a uh someone called in.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Her name is Lynn. She is a history teacher, and
- 11:18Speaker 2: she says, the whole Ben Franklin turkey thing was actually
- 11:23Speaker 2: the first drawing of the bald eagle on money or something.
- 11:27Speaker 2: He said looked like a turkey. Ah.
- 11:30Speaker 3: I you know, I thought it was. It was whether
- 11:32Speaker 3: it was an urban myth or not. But that makes sense.
- 11:34Speaker 3: So thanks prop so yeah, so yeah, thanks for writing in.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Lynn. She okay, from from a very stupid step coming
- 11:47Speaker 2: out of the Health Secretary's office, this one, I rather
- 11:51Speaker 2: like Robert F. Kennedy Junior yesterday unveiled to plan aiming
- 11:55Speaker 2: at tightening this this loophole. It's been around for decades
- 11:59Speaker 2: that allowed food companies to pursuit put certain chemicals in
- 12:03Speaker 2: their products without notifying the nation's food regulators or anything
- 12:07Speaker 2: like that, the federal health officials. And it's something I
- 12:09Speaker 2: see all the time. It says grass GRAS, which is
- 12:14Speaker 2: short for generally recognized as safe. So it allows companies
- 12:19Speaker 2: to kind of self certify the safety of these certain
- 12:22Speaker 2: chemicals and substances and put them in the food without
- 12:26Speaker 2: notifying the Food and Drug Administration. So they're tightening this up,
- 12:30Speaker 2: and I think this is actually and by.
- 12:33Speaker 3: The way, you're not alone where on the vaccine front.
- 12:36Speaker 3: There is nobody of any legitimacy that agrees with what
- 12:40Speaker 3: the administration is doing. There are tons of people, I
- 12:44Speaker 3: would say the majority of experts and scientists and food
- 12:47Speaker 3: folks are saying this is a good idea because self
- 12:50Speaker 3: certification is you know, the Boeing Max was self certified
- 12:56Speaker 3: before it fell out of the sky a few times.
- 12:59Speaker 3: So the FAA is coming down much harder on self certification.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And so you're right, it's good news. And then amy
- 13:09Speaker 3: the bad news.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Yeah, we lost our majestic Jackie the bald eagle. She
- 13:14Speaker 4: died yesterday morning at O Hi Rehabilitation Center the Raptor Center.
- 13:20Speaker 4: She was fourteen. Of course, she was taken to the
- 13:22Speaker 4: Raptor Center a little over three weeks ago after she
- 13:26Speaker 4: got into a territorial spat with a couple of subadults.
- 13:29Speaker 4: And then although they're saying that she wasn't really injured
- 13:33Speaker 4: in that, she couldn't fly after that, and they discovered
- 13:36Speaker 4: that she had severe anemia kidney inflammation, and they tried
- 13:40Speaker 4: to figure out what was causing that. They tried to
- 13:42Speaker 4: treat it. They tried a blood transfusion, and she just
- 13:45Speaker 4: never bounced back, and she finally.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Said a week ago they said she was on the.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Mend well because they did the blood transfusion and her
- 13:55Speaker 4: PCV levels, which are in the red blood cells, they
- 13:59Speaker 4: went up, but then they dipped back down. Over the weekend,
- 14:02Speaker 4: they came back up a little bit, but again they
- 14:05Speaker 4: were like the last measurement that we heard of was
- 14:07Speaker 4: nine percent, which has packed cell volume, and it needs
- 14:10Speaker 4: to be at like thirty five or forty percent, So
- 14:12Speaker 4: it was really critically low, and she just couldn't she
- 14:16Speaker 4: didn't get enough oxygen into her blood.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Couldn't she get an organ transplant? Do they even do
- 14:21Speaker 3: eagle organ transplants.
- 14:22Speaker 4: I don't know, but they did do a blood transfusion
- 14:25Speaker 4: on her.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Okay, just wondering birds are are by the way I
- 14:29Speaker 3: was leading, I was kidding about that.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I don't think they do. Eagle or birds are very fragile.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I don't know about the transplants, but their systems very
- 14:38Speaker 2: fragile and they're hard to put under, is my understanding.
- 14:42Speaker 2: All right, that's a sad story. Indeed, all right, Trump
- 14:45Speaker 2: hid in a catering cart, so says this story and
- 14:49Speaker 2: a couple others. Elaborate ruse is what they're calling it.
- 14:54Speaker 2: They used to transport the president to a military flight
- 14:58Speaker 2: from the Air Force one to return from NATO the
- 15:02Speaker 2: meaning that he had, and apparently they got it. They
- 15:06Speaker 2: had him do the walk up Air Force one, you know,
- 15:09Speaker 2: the wave, do all that stuff, and then they transfer
- 15:12Speaker 2: and transferred him out in like a catering cart ye
- 15:16Speaker 2: on the other side of the plane. Yeh, big catering carts.
- 15:19Speaker 3: And this was because of a incredible threat from Iran.
- 15:24Speaker 3: And this happened before where they sneak presidents off.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And shall we be telling people that I think it
- 15:30Speaker 2: just came out.
- 15:32Speaker 3: They shouldn't be that's not something we do, although after
- 15:35Speaker 3: the fact quite often we do find out.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Bill Clinton have to do something. Another time, George W.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Bush did that during his golf war when he secretly
- 15:47Speaker 3: went on a thanksgiving to troops. I think it was
- 15:50Speaker 3: in Afghanistan. Okay, Oh, fire news, Big.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Sers in trouble. You've ever been a big Surrey, you
- 15:59Speaker 4: know how absolutely beautiful it is. There's a fast growing wildfire.
- 16:04Speaker 4: It's burned through more than seventeen hundred acres, a lot
- 16:07Speaker 4: of evacuation orders. The fire just started on Sunday morning
- 16:10Speaker 4: in the Los Padres National Forest, southeast of the neighborhood
- 16:14Speaker 4: of Loma Vista. Firefighters on the ground are experiencing some
- 16:18Speaker 4: extremely steep, rugged terrain mixed in with hot, dry temperatures
- 16:23Speaker 4: and winds that are variable. That's according to cal Fire
- 16:25Speaker 4: Captain our Chief Josh Silvera, switching directions. Winds are switching
- 16:31Speaker 4: directions pretty regularly, so they say it's definitely giving them
- 16:35Speaker 4: some challenges and getting an upper hand.
- 16:37Speaker 2: YEP.
- 16:38Speaker 4: People camping in the area, they've been forced out, of.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Course, So we're going to change. Weather reports are going
- 16:43Speaker 2: to change.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Today, fire, tomorrow, more fire, and next week we're looking
- 16:49Speaker 3: at fire coming in. That's exactly unfortunately what's going to happen.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Look what's going on around the world, fires and the
- 17:00Speaker 3: and the tornadoes. And I haven't heard about climate change
- 17:04Speaker 3: being a hoax lately of you. Is that a thing anymore?
- 17:08Speaker 3: Or have people pretty well accepted even the crazy people
- 17:13Speaker 3: are I'm not.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Said it's a hoax. Some do like like that the
- 17:18Speaker 2: temperatures aren't changing.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Nope, they're saying climate change is a hoax. So I
- 17:22Speaker 3: can think of someone The President has said it over
- 17:26Speaker 3: and over again, and he has not come back on that.
- 17:30Speaker 3: He has not said anything contrary. Now he hasn't said
- 17:33Speaker 3: it a lot, but he his position is that it
- 17:36Speaker 3: is a hoax. Matter of fact, it is the biggest
- 17:39Speaker 3: hoax ever perpetrated on mankind in history.
- 17:43Speaker 2: But you can definitively show that the temperature is changing.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Do you mean that they think that it is hyperbolic
- 17:51Speaker 2: and used to No, it's part us.
- 17:55Speaker 3: I think it breaks down to and maybe he's referring
- 17:58Speaker 3: to and now we haven't differentiated that it's man made
- 18:03Speaker 3: that we had.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah, man had any influence.
- 18:06Speaker 3: The carbon dioxide, for example, that's being released in the
- 18:09Speaker 3: in the atmosphere by burning a fossil fuels, et cetera,
- 18:12Speaker 3: that that hasn't caused the climate change.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It is. People are nuts, that's all.
- 18:17Speaker 3: You know. Conspiracy people are crazy. It's that simple. Look
- 18:22Speaker 3: at the weather. It's gonna get worse. I've said this
- 18:23Speaker 3: many many times. And by the way, I wasn't alone,
- 18:26Speaker 3: you know, I just actually pay attention to science.
- 18:28Speaker 2: God forbid, all right, So you got to sip through
- 18:32Speaker 2: this one a little bit. Lauren Bobart, as we know,
- 18:36Speaker 2: representative of Colorado. Her son Tyler Bobart, is accused of
- 18:43Speaker 2: recording in twenty twenty four a sex video with a
- 18:47Speaker 2: seventeen year old. The way this reads, they give his
- 18:51Speaker 2: current age of twenty one and then the age of
- 18:55Speaker 2: the girl back then, But in reality he was eighteen
- 18:59Speaker 2: and she was side.
- 19:00Speaker 3: So that's the question I have is so he gets
- 19:04Speaker 3: tagged with not only the videoing, but also having sex
- 19:08Speaker 3: with a minor. Yes, you can be one week apart
- 19:12Speaker 3: in age if someone is eighteen and the other one
- 19:15Speaker 3: is seventeen, and that's technically sex with a miner.
- 19:18Speaker 2: That's odd. However, we don't know about the videoing. Was
- 19:23Speaker 2: that consent videoing and the posting of it because this
- 19:26Speaker 2: article says that they It doesn't say who posted the video.
- 19:31Speaker 2: That's true, and that I can see is an issue.
- 19:33Speaker 3: If it wasn't consensual, if one or the other had
- 19:37Speaker 3: a problem with it.
- 19:38Speaker 2: It's got to be because the other. Yeah, yes, make news. Yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 2: maybe because it's a congressperson's child.
- 19:46Speaker 3: But come on, a little week, an eighteen year old
- 19:49Speaker 3: and a seventeen year old somehow contributing to the delinquency
- 19:54Speaker 3: of a minor, some kind of a sex crime.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Lem alone, It's not like his mom is making out. Yeah,
- 19:59Speaker 2: I know, that's crazy Broadway play. They could be one
- 20:02Speaker 2: month apart.
- 20:03Speaker 3: How an eighteen year olds dating seventeen year old's not
- 20:05Speaker 3: an eighteen year old with a thirteen year old, which
- 20:07Speaker 3: is of course a criminal and should be a fence.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Okay, moving on.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Finally, festen up. For the first time, President Trump has
- 20:19Speaker 4: acknowledged that oops, it was a construction error on the
- 20:22Speaker 4: Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool. Of course, he's been saying it
- 20:26Speaker 4: was vandalism, even made some arrest.
- 20:29Speaker 2: You finally got it, Bill, He blamed only got the apology.
- 20:33Speaker 4: It wasn't not quite, he posted on.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Truth Social He'll never apologize. This is a Trump apology.
- 20:39Speaker 4: I guess he did say the reflecting pool will be
- 20:42Speaker 4: opened shortly and said, as with many jobs, there was
- 20:45Speaker 4: also some contractor error done by rushing the job for
- 20:48Speaker 4: a July fourth opening.
- 20:49Speaker 2: By the way, vandals are still in the mix. You know.
- 20:53Speaker 3: It's still the work of vandals, but also the work
- 20:56Speaker 3: of shoddy construction.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Are they shoddy construction vandals? Yeah?
- 21:04Speaker 3: Maybe they've dropped all charges against anybody who was arrested
- 21:11Speaker 3: for vandalism.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Wait, Amy, do you have a double hit here? I
- 21:14Speaker 2: think she does.
- 21:15Speaker 4: No, number nine, that's you.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I don't have a nine. Number nine? Oh, number eight
- 21:22Speaker 2: there is?
- 21:23Speaker 4: You don't have a number nine.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Oh no, we don't have a number nine.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Okay, well I have it. The California Supreme Court is
- 21:29Speaker 4: ruled that electronic recording is allowed in civil cases when
- 21:34Speaker 4: the court cannot provide a reporter to make a transcript,
- 21:38Speaker 4: So that means stenographers could be out.
- 21:43Speaker 2: All right, yeah, oh do that makes sense?
- 21:46Speaker 4: I still think they should have them. What if something
- 21:48Speaker 4: goes wrong with the technology.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Okay, because they're a very expensive a stenographer. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 3: those people.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Well compared to a computer, yeah.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Yeah, no kidding, They make a very good living stenographers.
- 22:01Speaker 3: But you know, technology is there. You know, if something
- 22:04Speaker 3: goes wrong, how about this a backup? Does that work?
- 22:09Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 22:09Speaker 2: Okay, but it's going to.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Be interesting in trials like for Nick Reiner, where the
- 22:14Speaker 4: judge just said, okay, you can have computers in there
- 22:16Speaker 4: and you can take notes, but no recording, no pictures.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Well, judge has almost complete control over what happens in
- 22:23Speaker 3: the courtroom except in federal court. I think in federal
- 22:26Speaker 3: court there you cannot have pictures taken, although they now
- 22:31Speaker 3: let audio come out of federal court, and it used
- 22:34Speaker 3: to be none whatsoever.
- 22:35Speaker 2: That's why you had these drawings.
- 22:37Speaker 3: You know that you saw that he'd be on the news,
- 22:39Speaker 3: you know, those horrible drawings that were mainly stick figures
- 22:42Speaker 3: almost and that hasn't changed at all all right, not.
- 22:46Speaker 4: So fast with that tax. Mayor mom Donnie, the New
- 22:50Speaker 4: York City mayor Zoorun Mom Donnie, decided to tax the rich.
- 22:55Speaker 4: It was one of his promises. So he slapped a
- 23:00Speaker 4: big tax and annual tax on second homes of New
- 23:03Speaker 4: Yorkers who don't live in those homes year round. But
- 23:07Speaker 4: now a judge has paused the rollout of that tax.
- 23:12Speaker 4: The judge granted a temporary restraining order requested by a
- 23:15Speaker 4: group of homeowners who sued the city last week, arguing
- 23:18Speaker 4: that the rollout was being mishandled.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's so this the stoppage is very temporary.
- 23:26Speaker 3: The argument is just how he has applied it, not
- 23:28Speaker 3: giving homeowners the right to say, oh no, and so
- 23:31Speaker 3: it's it's going to go forward. They're going to just
- 23:33Speaker 3: change one of the procedural parts of this Senate's going
- 23:36Speaker 3: to happen, tax the rich.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Have you noticed, just a quick offshoot.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Relating to this story, how these democratic socialists are being
- 23:45Speaker 3: described as communists. That's the operative term. Now, let's make
- 23:49Speaker 3: it easy. They're called communists. They are not communists. No
- 23:52Speaker 3: one seems to understand, or at least politicians aren't understanding
- 23:56Speaker 3: what communism is.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Communism is state ownership of businesses.
- 24:01Speaker 3: That's not what mom, Donnie and other socialist Democrats or
- 24:05Speaker 3: democratic socialists are saying.
- 24:07Speaker 4: He wants to do with grocery stores.
- 24:09Speaker 3: The state ownership of grocery stores. How okay, straight, how
- 24:12Speaker 3: about this state ownership of your business, state ownership of
- 24:15Speaker 3: the car business.
- 24:17Speaker 2: And he and I want to start small when you're
- 24:21Speaker 2: changing America. You want to start small. And I'm not
- 24:24Speaker 2: arguing that he doesn't want to change.
- 24:26Speaker 3: He does want to change America because socialism is huge regulation,
- 24:32Speaker 3: huge taxes, huge entitlement programs. But that does not make
- 24:36Speaker 3: you a communist. A communist means there is no private
- 24:40Speaker 3: ownership of anything.
- 24:43Speaker 2: That's communism.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Did he's talked about taking ownership of housing.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Back across the board? Well, okay, then he's a third.
- 24:51Speaker 3: He's twenty percent of communists or five percent of communism.
- 24:55Speaker 4: It's a slippery slope.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Oh okay, you know, I'll get it out. So let's
- 25:02Speaker 2: put it this way.
- 25:03Speaker 3: He is on his way and is not going to
- 25:07Speaker 3: be able to We're not going to get to the
- 25:09Speaker 3: point where we have a state ownership of everything.
- 25:12Speaker 2: This is not well, okay. I think they had to
- 25:16Speaker 2: on this particular thing. They had to remove the part
- 25:18Speaker 2: where it said tax the white devil. I think that
- 25:22Speaker 2: was the hangout with this one.
- 25:23Speaker 3: But hey, you know there are plenty of black devils
- 25:25Speaker 3: out there too. I mean, he doesn't differentiate between black devil's.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, money is money. If money is money, that's right,
- 25:34Speaker 2: all right. Defense Secretary Pete Haig Seth pushed Congress to
- 25:37Speaker 2: approve this major increase in the Pentagon's budget. And this
- 25:42Speaker 2: was during the ceremony just yesterday to rename a base
- 25:46Speaker 2: for the late Senator Lindsay Graham. So he was a
- 25:50Speaker 2: veteran who was long known for his advocacy of expanding
- 25:54Speaker 2: the military.
- 25:55Speaker 3: In the budget that the administration wants goes from eight
- 26:00Speaker 3: hundred billion dollars the military to double that. And that
- 26:05Speaker 3: doesn't include the war in Iran. I mean, they're going
- 26:09Speaker 3: balls to the wall. And of course entitlement program social
- 26:11Speaker 3: programs are falling by the wayside very quickly.
- 26:15Speaker 2: It's just a philosophy, that's all. Well, what's the same
- 26:18Speaker 2: see pocam parabellum. Do you want peace, prepare for war?
- 26:24Speaker 3: This is a little bit much in my opinion, but
- 26:26Speaker 3: that's you know, again, we voted this administration in the
- 26:30Speaker 3: president no kidd in adenda, he said, I want a
- 26:35Speaker 3: lot more military and okay, So what's going to happen
- 26:39Speaker 3: during the midterms. We'll see if it changes at all.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Drop it it's the DROP system in California stands for Delete,
- 26:50Speaker 4: Request and Opt Out Platform. It's a service funded by
- 26:54Speaker 4: registration fees that are paid for by data brokers not
- 26:57Speaker 4: directly by taxpayers, and clears your data from the internet
- 27:00Speaker 4: because everybody talks about all of my data is all
- 27:02Speaker 4: over the place. There are services that'll scrub it for you.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Now California apparently is doing it free for you, and
- 27:09Speaker 4: more than four hundred twenty five thousand Californians have registered
- 27:12Speaker 4: for the drop program. Data brokers started processing deletion request
- 27:15Speaker 4: in early August. More than eight million records were released
- 27:20Speaker 4: deleted rather in just the first few days.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Okay, oh great, great story of airplane kid's story. This
- 27:29Speaker 3: is when you want to people have their kids crying
- 27:31Speaker 3: and I say, take your kid outside.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Listen is one thing, but this is a whole other thing.
- 27:39Speaker 2: A flight was canceled in Canada after a child refuse
- 27:42Speaker 2: and they don't say how old he was, but after
- 27:45Speaker 2: a child refused to sit down and fasten their seat belt.
- 27:50Speaker 2: So you have the parents and the cabin crew repeatedly
- 27:54Speaker 2: try to get this child in their seat but were unsuccessful.
- 27:57Speaker 2: And when they would strap them in, heats or I
- 28:01Speaker 2: don't know, is it him would slide out of the
- 28:05Speaker 2: seat belt, and all I could think of that scene
- 28:08Speaker 2: from airplane where everybody's lined up to smack the hysterical
- 28:12Speaker 2: woman or something, and they've got bats and make medieval maces.
- 28:17Speaker 3: And I have a question, why why is it illegal
- 28:24Speaker 3: to not zip tie a kid by the wrist and
- 28:28Speaker 3: put duct tape over his mouth when this happens. I
- 28:32Speaker 3: don't know, Bill, I don't either, because that seems to
- 28:35Speaker 3: be an easy answer for me. Because this plane had
- 28:37Speaker 3: to turn around off the tarmac yet off, everybody had
- 28:41Speaker 3: to get off, could not fly because it was up
- 28:44Speaker 3: against the time in which a plane couldn't.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Take off, and this is not the kid getting off,
- 28:50Speaker 2: and then everyone had to breathe the next Okay, so
- 28:54Speaker 2: here's an easy one. I'm going to go back to you.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Zip tie his rits together, yes, row the duct tape
- 29:01Speaker 3: across his mouth, and then just put the seatbelt on.
- 29:05Speaker 2: That'll work thirty seconds in. If my child did that,
- 29:08Speaker 2: I would I would say, I'm sorry, we're taking we're
- 29:11Speaker 2: going off the plane.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Yeah, why didn't they just throw the parent and the
- 29:14Speaker 4: kid off the plane.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Zip tie the kid, duct tape around the mouth, shut up?
- 29:22Speaker 2: Bourbon might have done it. Yeah, that's it. That's how
- 29:26Speaker 2: I've always taken my kids. So they were quiet.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Just unbelievable amounts of Benadryl. I mean, just knock him
- 29:33Speaker 3: on their asses. They shut up for sure, and they
- 29:39Speaker 3: got older. Making sure that we got that cut for
- 29:42Speaker 3: the police.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Okay, guys, we are done. You've been listening
- 29:47Speaker 2: to The Bill Handle Show.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Catch my Show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
