- 0:13Speaker 1: Hell level, No, no, Well, welcome to the Naughty but
- 0:16Speaker 1: Nice on your host, Rob Shooter, and it is Monday.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Garrett is off today for Memorial Day. We're still doing
- 0:23Speaker 1: a show, but I hope whatever you are doing today
- 0:26Speaker 1: you take a minute to honor and mourn or the
- 0:30Speaker 1: US military personnel who died while serving in the United
- 0:35Speaker 1: States Armed Forces. Thank you for your service, Thank you
- 0:42Speaker 1: for allowing us to live this life in democracy that
- 0:46Speaker 1: we live today. Happy Memorial Day. I never know if
- 0:51Speaker 1: you meant to say that. It sounds like I'm celebrating
- 0:55Speaker 1: the loss of so many really wonderful heroes Americans, and
- 1:01Speaker 1: so we do say Happy Memorial Day. I want you
- 1:04Speaker 1: to have a happy day. I want us all to
- 1:05Speaker 1: have a happy day every single day. But today, if
- 1:08Speaker 1: you can take a moment, just the moment and remember
- 1:12Speaker 1: all those that have served, I think the world will
- 1:16Speaker 1: be a better place. Okay, let's jump into a silly share.
- 1:19Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It's tea time. Big
- 1:22Speaker 1: story at the top of the show. So Kate Middleton
- 1:25Speaker 1: likely will not return to public appearances for the rest
- 1:29Speaker 1: of the year as she wants to avoid stress and anxiety.
- 1:33Speaker 1: So this new report is coming out of London. But
- 1:36Speaker 1: it mirrors something I've been telling you for a couple
- 1:39Speaker 1: of weeks. Kate's done with this, so let me tell
- 1:42Speaker 1: you what they had to say. So the new report
- 1:45Speaker 1: from the Telegraph says that Kate does not have any
- 1:48Speaker 1: plans for any public appearances for the remainder of the
- 1:53Speaker 1: year due to her cancer battle. Sources tell the Daily
- 1:57Speaker 1: Beast quote, lots of people in in planning need to
- 2:02Speaker 1: know what all the principles are doing long in advance.
- 2:06Speaker 1: So if you're planning the diaries, the schedules for the
- 2:09Speaker 1: principal people in the royal family by principles, King Charles,
- 2:13Speaker 1: Queen Camilla, William, Kate, their children, they're the real inner
- 2:18Speaker 1: circle now, the nuclear family, they need to know a
- 2:22Speaker 1: long time in advance to coordinate all the schedules. The
- 2:25Speaker 1: Daily Beast are told that Kate's diary is totally empty,
- 2:30Speaker 1: there's nothing on it, there's nothing planned, and she may
- 2:33Speaker 1: not appear in public for the rest of the year.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Insiders go on to say the key thing for Kate
- 2:40Speaker 1: right now is avoiding any stress or anxiety and just
- 2:44Speaker 1: focusing on the business of getting better. Kate's going to
- 2:49Speaker 1: spend the rest of the year with her children, her
- 2:52Speaker 1: relatives at Amber Hall in Norfolk, England. Now, if you
- 2:55Speaker 1: remember I told you about a month ago that Kate
- 2:59Speaker 1: would not be coming back into the public eye as
- 3:02Speaker 1: soon as we had hoped. If in fact, and he's
- 3:05Speaker 1: the blockbuster, du duh. If in fact, ever, I'm told
- 3:09Speaker 1: that Kate is done with this. She really doesn't enjoy
- 3:14Speaker 1: being a show pony. She doesn't enjoy talking public speaking,
- 3:19Speaker 1: she doesn't enjoy being out in the big crowds. It
- 3:22Speaker 1: gives her anxiety, it gives her stress. And ironically, the
- 3:27Speaker 1: couple who have taught Kate the most about this is
- 3:29Speaker 1: Harry and Meghan. Before Harry and Meghan stepped aside, stepped
- 3:34Speaker 1: back from being working royals, nobody really thought you could
- 3:39Speaker 1: do this. Kate just assumed, you know what, I don't
- 3:42Speaker 1: really enjoy this, but this is the life I've signed
- 3:44Speaker 1: up for. I love my children, I love William, I
- 3:47Speaker 1: do love being part of this family. But the job part,
- 3:50Speaker 1: I don't know if I would have picked that job. Well, now,
- 3:54Speaker 1: because of Meghan and Harry, Kate has seen there is
- 3:59Speaker 1: another way. There can be another path. You don't have
- 4:03Speaker 1: to do things the same way as they've always been done.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Another person, ironically that is helping Kate as Malania Trump.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Milania Trump was a very different first Lady to the
- 4:15Speaker 1: first ladies were used to having. In fact, there were
- 4:18Speaker 1: some reports that she didn't move into the White House
- 4:20Speaker 1: right away. She carried on living in New York with
- 4:23Speaker 1: her son. He finished school, and then they went down
- 4:25Speaker 1: to DC and they had a separate home down there. Well,
- 4:28Speaker 1: Kate will now change the way that she will be
- 4:32Speaker 1: eventually queen. She's not appredicating, she's not getting divorced. She's
- 4:37Speaker 1: not leaving William, she's not leaving the family. She's just
- 4:40Speaker 1: changing her job within the family. She will be the
- 4:42Speaker 1: queen and she will turn up for the big state occasions,
- 4:47Speaker 1: the stuff she has to do, the stuff when you
- 4:50Speaker 1: see them in carriages, wearing taras, wearing their sashes, their
- 4:53Speaker 1: ball gowns, their military uniforms. All that stuff she will do.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But the rest of it she does don't want to
- 5:00Speaker 1: do anymore. Kate's a country girl. She would rather be
- 5:03Speaker 1: in the country with her kids, with her horses, with
- 5:05Speaker 1: her dogs than in Buckingham Palace or whizzing around London
- 5:09Speaker 1: going to red carpets. Ironically, the person that would be
- 5:13Speaker 1: the best at this, the person that really does enjoy people,
- 5:16Speaker 1: enjoys the red carpet, enjoys the spotlight. It's Meghan. Of
- 5:19Speaker 1: all of them, Meghan is the most happy to walk
- 5:24Speaker 1: red carpets. She enjoys being a celebrity. I knew her
- 5:28Speaker 1: before she met before she met Harry, and she wanted
- 5:32Speaker 1: to be a star. She worked really hard to be
- 5:35Speaker 1: successful when she was on Suits. Remember she turned about
- 5:37Speaker 1: the Wendy william Show unannounced by herself to try and
- 5:40Speaker 1: get a job. She wanted to be on camera. She
- 5:42Speaker 1: did the same at the Today Show and she ended
- 5:44Speaker 1: up doing fashion segments. I admire Meghan's sort of hutspur here.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Kate doesn't have that. It doesn't come naturally to Kate.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Have you ever been in that position where you've got
- 5:57Speaker 1: a job and it's just the wrong fit, you don't
- 6:00Speaker 1: really fit in. I have. I worked for the Huffington
- 6:03Speaker 1: Post for a while and I just didn't fit in.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I was the same gossip columnist I am Today before,
- 6:09Speaker 1: but they just didn't like my style. They thought I
- 6:11Speaker 1: had too much personality, that I was too loud, I
- 6:14Speaker 1: was too naughty, and they wanted very, very strict, almost
- 6:19Speaker 1: dull copy and everybody around the office they didn't look
- 6:23Speaker 1: like me. They all wore j crew. They'd all been
- 6:25Speaker 1: to Harvard or Yale. I hadn't, and so I just
- 6:28Speaker 1: didn't fit in. So eventually I found another job. Well,
- 6:31Speaker 1: Kate can't exactly do that, because it's a family business.
- 6:35Speaker 1: That's where you get yourself in trouble, isn't it. She
- 6:38Speaker 1: wants the family, she doesn't want the business. What is
- 6:40Speaker 1: she going to do now? Because of her cancer diagnosis,
- 6:44Speaker 1: she's really taken a step back and she's thinking about
- 6:47Speaker 1: the future. What does she want her role to be?
- 6:50Speaker 1: And you know what, Kate, you can redefine, create a
- 6:56Speaker 1: different role for yourself. And I think that's what she's
- 6:59Speaker 1: going to do moving forward, which brings us to our
- 7:01Speaker 1: whole question of the day. Kate likely will not return
- 7:05Speaker 1: to the public appearances for the rest of the year
- 7:08Speaker 1: to avoid any stress or our anxiety. Will Kate ever
- 7:12Speaker 1: return full time? What do you think? I'm telling you
- 7:14Speaker 1: she doesn't want to, but you think she will? Will
- 7:16Speaker 1: the family make her? Will she get pressure to do this?
- 7:19Speaker 1: You know they're going to say, wow, are the monarchy?
- 7:21Speaker 1: It's now? It's down to William. It's Kate. We can't
- 7:24Speaker 1: lose Kate. We lost Megan and Harry, so she's gonna
- 7:27Speaker 1: get pressure. But what do you think we'll end up
- 7:28Speaker 1: happening here? Will Kate ever return full time? Hey? Go
- 7:33Speaker 1: vote on page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page
- 7:36Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow
- 7:40Speaker 1: to hear your results. I love this story. So Tamo Braxton, Oh,
- 7:46Speaker 1: I do love a member. She was on that show
- 7:48Speaker 1: with on we TV with all her sisters. It was hilarious.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It really was a great reality show. Well, she's explaining
- 7:54Speaker 1: why she rejected an offer to join the Real Housewives
- 7:57Speaker 1: of Atlanta. The singer who is forty seven turn down
- 8:00Speaker 1: an opportunity to join the show because quote, just no way,
- 8:05Speaker 1: I'm going to sit and get a wig pulled on
- 8:08Speaker 1: and get my face beat to argue with a bunch
- 8:12Speaker 1: of you know who's about nothing. So she doesn't want
- 8:16Speaker 1: to have to go through all the glamor those Atlanta housewives.
- 8:19Speaker 1: All the housewives now they're super glamorous, full makeup, full hair, lashes,
- 8:23Speaker 1: ball gowns. They're all like Lisa vander Pumps. Now, well
- 8:26Speaker 1: that takes a lot of effort, a lot of time,
- 8:28Speaker 1: a lot of money. And she said, there's no way
- 8:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna put myself through all that just to fight
- 8:33Speaker 1: with the other ladies. She said, I can't do it.
- 8:36Speaker 1: What does that do for my life? What's the argument?
- 8:40Speaker 1: So she is asking Bravo the Housewives producers, tell me
- 8:44Speaker 1: why I should do that? How does it change my life?
- 8:48Speaker 1: What is your argument for me doing this? She goes
- 8:50Speaker 1: on to say that, you know, the main argument is
- 8:52Speaker 1: going to be money, and she said, let me tell
- 8:54Speaker 1: you something. Quote, all money ain't good money. It's just
- 8:58Speaker 1: not gosh to. I agree with you here, Tamar. I've
- 9:02Speaker 1: taken jobs in the past because I wanted the money.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I needed the money. I didn't have any choice. I
- 9:07Speaker 1: didn't have any money. I had to do the job.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That's miserable. Now I'm in a position where I've saved
- 9:12Speaker 1: a penny or two and I don't have to take anything.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I still have to work, I have to earn a living,
- 9:18Speaker 1: but I don't have to say yes to everything. And
- 9:21Speaker 1: oh it's so liberating. I'm lucky. I get it. I'm
- 9:24Speaker 1: in a real fortunate position. So is Tamar. But I
- 9:28Speaker 1: think a lot of the ladies who do the housewife show.
- 9:31Speaker 1: They're in very privileged positions too. You've seen the houses,
- 9:34Speaker 1: their clothes, their husbands, their cars. They have money, so
- 9:37Speaker 1: they don't have to do this. So Tamar is saying
- 9:40Speaker 1: all money ain't ain't good money. And and I want
- 9:44Speaker 1: to be fighting with the other ladies, she said, quote
- 9:46Speaker 1: this is so important. It's not worth my mental health
- 9:50Speaker 1: to sit here and get into arguments with another black,
- 9:55Speaker 1: beautiful woman about nothing so other people can think this
- 9:59Speaker 1: is what we are all about. At some point, you
- 10:03Speaker 1: have to have responsibility in what you put on the
- 10:08Speaker 1: TV screen. Ooh, that's a dig. And Andy Cohen one
- 10:14Speaker 1: of the underlying criticisms of the Real Housewives, and I
- 10:17Speaker 1: get it. We love it. I've watched it. It's a
- 10:18Speaker 1: guilty pleasure, maybe not even guilty. It's funny. It used
- 10:21Speaker 1: to be funny. It used to be really campy and funny.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Now I think it's just a little bit too mean
- 10:26Speaker 1: for me. But one of the criticisms has always been
- 10:30Speaker 1: that this is not showing people well, this is not
- 10:34Speaker 1: good representation. And so when you have a bunch, particularly
- 10:38Speaker 1: in Atlanta, of women women of color who are fighting
- 10:42Speaker 1: with one another and ripping off wigs and spitting and
- 10:45Speaker 1: calling each other names. It's just not a very good representation.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Are they either women of color or women in general.
- 10:52Speaker 1: A lot of my girlfriends don't like The Housewives. They
- 10:55Speaker 1: think it portrays women in a really ugly negative life
- 10:59Speaker 1: in fact, and is being accused Kathy Griffin of not
- 11:02Speaker 1: liking women. Chelsea Handler said the same thing too. They
- 11:06Speaker 1: said this was created by a gay man who hates women.
- 11:09Speaker 1: They said that, and I don't know if I want
- 11:13Speaker 1: to believe it, but when I watched the show and
- 11:16Speaker 1: now I listen to what Tamar has said, it's pretty mean.
- 11:20Speaker 1: It's pretty mean out there. Tamar concludes by saying she's
- 11:23Speaker 1: focused on making TV. She would love to get back
- 11:26Speaker 1: on TV, but she wants funny, feel good, relatable, and
- 11:30Speaker 1: even epic TV. She said, it can be full of drama,
- 11:34Speaker 1: it just always doesn't have to be so nasty. Now,
- 11:37Speaker 1: that's part of the success of our podcast is we
- 11:39Speaker 1: are naughty. We are, but we are nice. It's a
- 11:42Speaker 1: conscious decision, and in life you can make these decisions.
- 11:46Speaker 1: You don't have to be on a TV show or
- 11:47Speaker 1: have a podcast. Choose every day to be nicer. Don't
- 11:51Speaker 1: go for all the nasty stuff. I love the drama.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I love the gossip, but I like naughty drama. I
- 11:56Speaker 1: like naughty gossip. I don't like vicious. I don't like it.
- 12:01Speaker 1: And I think that's where the housewives have jumped the shark.
- 12:04Speaker 1: For me, it's gone from being silly. Oh, it was
- 12:07Speaker 1: so silly and funny, and now it's just me. And
- 12:11Speaker 1: that's what Tamar is saying. Tone is really important. Okay,
- 12:16Speaker 1: Moving on, Alec Baldwin will will head to trial. Alec
- 12:21Speaker 1: Baldwin is set to face trial this summer after a
- 12:25Speaker 1: Santa Fe judge determined his motion to dismiss the involuntary
- 12:30Speaker 1: manslaughter charges stemming from the infamous rustchuting incident would not
- 12:37Speaker 1: go forward. He has denied this motion. Let me take
- 12:41Speaker 1: you back to twenty twenty two in New Mexico on
- 12:44Speaker 1: the set of Alex Who's independent film with Rust. In October,
- 12:49Speaker 1: a horrifying incident led to the tragic death of cinematographer
- 12:54Speaker 1: Helena Hutchins and injured to the film's director. The incident
- 12:58Speaker 1: occurred when a prop go and held by Alec Baldwin
- 13:02Speaker 1: discharged unexpectedly. Now adding to the shocking twist, the film's
- 13:09Speaker 1: armorer has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter, and she's received
- 13:16Speaker 1: the maximum penalty of eighteen months in jail, setting a
- 13:21Speaker 1: precedent that Alec Baldwin might indeed follow. So despite his
- 13:27Speaker 1: high profile legal maneuverings, and he even settled a settlement
- 13:32Speaker 1: with the Hutchins family and other crew members, the Santa
- 13:35Speaker 1: Fe District Attorney's office remains relentless. They don't care about
- 13:42Speaker 1: these settlements. They are moving forward. They are arguing that
- 13:46Speaker 1: Alec Baldwin, who is both the star and the executive
- 13:50Speaker 1: producer of the movie that gives him more responsibility, acted
- 13:54Speaker 1: negligently when he pointed a loaded weapon at Helena Hutchins
- 14:00Speaker 1: without properly checking it. A grand jury agreed that there
- 14:04Speaker 1: is enough evidence to proceed with the case, marking a
- 14:07Speaker 1: significant blow to Alec Baldwin. If he is convicted, he
- 14:11Speaker 1: could face eighteen months behind bars. His legal team might
- 14:16Speaker 1: have thought they dodged a bullet when they settled this
- 14:20Speaker 1: case with the family. But the determined day is how
- 14:24Speaker 1: to prove that even Tinseltown's elite are not above the law.
- 14:30Speaker 1: This is going to be a trial. I'm not sure
- 14:33Speaker 1: if it's going to be televised. If it is, I
- 14:34Speaker 1: think everyone's going to be watching. But this is going
- 14:37Speaker 1: to be a major, major moment, and Alex in trouble.
- 14:41Speaker 1: He could go to jail for this. His celebrity, his
- 14:44Speaker 1: power is money is not going to help him here.
- 14:47Speaker 1: And I do like the fact that nobody is above
- 14:51Speaker 1: the law. I like that as an American. I am
- 14:54Speaker 1: an American, I became an American citizen. I hold that
- 14:57Speaker 1: to be so dear, to be so important, it doesn't matter.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It shouldn't matter how rich and famous and powerful you are. No,
- 15:05Speaker 1: the law is the law. Okay, Quickly, before we go
- 15:08Speaker 1: to break. Nicki Minaj has apologized to her fans and
- 15:11Speaker 1: vows to fight back with lawyer. So Nicki is not
- 15:13Speaker 1: backing down. The superstar is already planning to reschedule a
- 15:18Speaker 1: concert that was canceled after her shocking drug arrest. In
- 15:22Speaker 1: a heartfelt message, he expressed her deepest apologies and revealed
- 15:27Speaker 1: the dramatic details behind the ordeal. She was arrested in
- 15:30Speaker 1: Amsterdam at the airport for possession of soft drugs. She
- 15:35Speaker 1: was jailed for six hours, which meant she couldn't catch
- 15:38Speaker 1: her flight from Amsterdam to her Manchester Venue in time
- 15:43Speaker 1: for her concerts, so they had to cancel it. Her
- 15:45Speaker 1: shows are now going on. She's back in the UK
- 15:48Speaker 1: doing shows, but she vows vows that she's going to
- 15:52Speaker 1: fight back with lawyers and also too with God. Okay,
- 15:57Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:59Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show. Hey,
- 16:06Speaker 1: let's get to the polls DA Dara Lasher. We talked
- 16:10Speaker 1: about Chloe Kardashian slamming Caitlyn Jenna for doing a tell
- 16:13Speaker 1: all called the House of Kardashians. My question was, is
- 16:17Speaker 1: Caitlyn exploiting the family? Let's have a look. Eighty two
- 16:21Speaker 1: percent said yes, Caitlyn is exploiting the family and Chloe's
- 16:25Speaker 1: right here to be mad about this. Kitlyn, Why are
- 16:29Speaker 1: you doing this? You got all the money in the world.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Is this to stay relevant? What is going on here?
- 16:35Speaker 1: The family are mad with you. Okay, don't forget to
- 16:38Speaker 1: vote on today's pole. Go to our Twitter page at
- 16:41Speaker 1: Naughty Nice Rob or a Facebook page which is Naughty Gossip.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 16:49Speaker 1: And now it's time for our Nicest of the Day.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Oh after all, that distressing news about Graceland and Elvis
- 16:57Speaker 1: Presley just a few days ago. It's lovely to thought
- 17:00Speaker 1: that Priscilla Presley is celebrating her birthday with her granddaughter Riley. Yes,
- 17:04Speaker 1: so Priscilla was all smiles of joy and tears of joy.
- 17:08Speaker 1: The legendary ex wife of Elvis Presley celebrated her seventy
- 17:13Speaker 1: ninth birthday with her beloved granddaughter Riley on Saturday. The
- 17:19Speaker 1: celebration is particular sweet in light of the recent legal
- 17:23Speaker 1: win for Riley and the family. Priscilla, surrounded by her family,
- 17:28Speaker 1: declared quote, I'm so happy I could cry. Happy seventy
- 17:34Speaker 1: ninth birthday. Let's do a Naughties of the day. Naughty, naughty,
- 17:38Speaker 1: naughty oer. This story pains me so. Prince Harry allegedly
- 17:41Speaker 1: threw a hissy fit over his recent visit to the UK.
- 17:47Speaker 1: So the attempt to arrange a meeting between King Charles
- 17:52Speaker 1: and Harry, remember we talked about that resulted in a
- 17:55Speaker 1: disagreement over the location and that led to the Duke
- 17:58Speaker 1: have in a hissy fit. So the Telegraph, which is
- 18:00Speaker 1: a really respected paper in London, they're reporting that Harry
- 18:04Speaker 1: sought to see his father King Charles, before the official
- 18:09Speaker 1: confirmation came came down that the meeting would not be
- 18:12Speaker 1: taking place. Now insiders are saying they did not meet
- 18:16Speaker 1: because they could not agree on a place, on a
- 18:20Speaker 1: location for them to get together. Harry had security concerns
- 18:25Speaker 1: and he was worried about his safety and that's why
- 18:27Speaker 1: he didn't want to go or stay at one of
- 18:30Speaker 1: the royal palaces. So Charles the King was going to
- 18:33Speaker 1: meet his son at the one of the palaces and
- 18:35Speaker 1: they We're going to sit down for an hour, I
- 18:37Speaker 1: have tea catch up. But Harry just didn't feel safe there.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Sources say quote he threw a hissy fit saying I
- 18:44Speaker 1: can't come, it's not secure. In fact, he would rather
- 18:47Speaker 1: stay in a hotel, which is nowhere near as secure
- 18:51Speaker 1: as the palace. Let me tell you, London has some
- 18:53Speaker 1: fabulous hotels. He did not stay in a cheap hotel.
- 18:55Speaker 1: He stayed in the fabulous hotel. They have a lot
- 18:58Speaker 1: of security. It's very safe. But there is nowhere in London,
- 19:01Speaker 1: maybe the Tower of London, that is as secure as
- 19:04Speaker 1: the palace is. They have security, the best security in
- 19:09Speaker 1: the world. Harry didn't want to go to the palace
- 19:12Speaker 1: and that's why he's making this excuse. Oh, this family,
- 19:16Speaker 1: and what is the day. Let's end with a moment
- 19:18Speaker 1: of Rob. You're go, Rob, You Rob you a rob.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. What if it wasn't
- 19:23Speaker 1: fear you were feeling, but rather excitement. I want you
