- 2:28Speaker 2: Pe'm not going to get a Black Friday money either.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you're not going to get one on Black Friday.

- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys don't want to hear from us anyways.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You probably spend time with your lovely families.
- 2:42Speaker 2: We're not better than your family, ye we are. I'm sorry.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Hey, that's a your situation. Well, I don't know, stude,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I don't know if you've met some of my family before.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yes, we would be better off than you hanging out
- 2:56Speaker 2: with your family.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Yes we are, but we will just be with our family.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Like for Christmas, I said a rule that we would
- 3:04Speaker 1: not be traveling on Christmas to anybody's home.
- 3:08Speaker 2: We do not.
- 3:09Speaker 1: We I went to wake up in my own house
- 3:11Speaker 1: with my own tree. The kids open presents in their
- 3:14Speaker 1: own home, they can play with them, and we can
- 3:17Speaker 1: have relaxing Christmas. I will not be traveling. Yes, I
- 3:21Speaker 1: will not be traveling on Christmas. We don't mind traveling
- 3:24Speaker 1: for Thanksgiving, but Christmas off the table unless you live
- 3:29Speaker 1: in the same town. That's different. But nobody lives in
- 3:31Speaker 1: this town.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Well, we're not going to go travel and stay at
- 3:33Speaker 2: their house overnight if they live in the same town.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Yes, even though that was tried to be pushed upon
- 3:38Speaker 1: us when we lived in before we moved from Louisiana.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Oh so I could drink and not have to yes, And.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I'm like, no, we're taking these children.
- 3:47Speaker 2: We're going home. Yeah, we already had children.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yes, speak of the devil anyways, So all right, So yeah,
- 3:55Speaker 1: if we will. I don't know why that we got
- 3:58Speaker 1: off on that anyways, and then.
- 3:59Speaker 2: We had because we were talking about Shoot to Poo.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Episodes Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. Guys, I'm so close to ten thousand,
- 4:07Speaker 1: and if you're one of my ten thousand, because once
- 4:09Speaker 1: you hit ten thousand, they start paying you like a
- 4:12Speaker 1: pinny per view. It's really low. But still when I
- 4:16Speaker 1: hit ten k I can start getting paid. Pretty cool. Huh.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Yeah, we can go on that Disney cruise in twenty
- 4:22Speaker 2: twenty eight.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Thirty.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, so by the time the children are grown, then
- 4:30Speaker 1: we'll just be Disney.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Adults on the I will never be a Disney adult.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'll be a Harry Potter adult. If there was a
- 4:38Speaker 1: Harry Potter cruise, I would be one of those Disney adults.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And I got roped into doing it with you and
- 4:42Speaker 2: one went to Scotland as it was.
- 4:43Speaker 1: But those were real historical sites, yes, from JK rolling
- 4:48Speaker 1: that where she wrote it and everything like that.
- 4:51Speaker 2: But then you got me.
- 4:54Speaker 1: That was cool, that was cool. What are you talking about?
- 4:59Speaker 1: I thought you had a good That was fine. Anyways,
- 5:03Speaker 1: So there is that, so go check out. I do
- 5:06Speaker 1: recommendations I don't just do the podcast, and I don't
- 5:09Speaker 1: talk about the podcast much Anymoreore. It's not that the
- 5:11Speaker 1: podcast is important, it's just that I should start sharing
- 5:15Speaker 1: the episodes again, like talking about them.
- 5:17Speaker 2: But I for but it round blind. You just do
- 5:20Speaker 2: the whole podcast, No.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But that. No, but I was gonna start just doing
- 5:24Speaker 1: like little abbreviated versions of it because people like to
- 5:29Speaker 1: watch true crime on like TikTok and not so much
- 5:32Speaker 1: Instagram and Facebook like fuck inmstagrams, but they don't. They
- 5:36Speaker 1: won't share my stuff with anybody. TikTok gives me a chance,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you know. Anyways. All right, that's enough of that, So yep,
- 5:43Speaker 1: we're gonna go ahead and get into this week's episode.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Out of South Carolina. So on December fourteenth, twenty sixteen,
- 5:50Speaker 1: in Chester, South Carolina. Yes, Stuart, that's the mail. Is
- 5:55Speaker 1: that your mail? No?
- 5:56Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Well. Did you just turn your iPad on?
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yes?
- 6:00Speaker 1: Well, remember it always dings dings dings. Why don't you
- 6:02Speaker 1: put it on silent?
- 6:03Speaker 2: You don't need voline on silent?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Okay? So on December fourteen, twenty sixteen, silent, Stewart, Oh,
- 6:12Speaker 1: so you're just gonna read the whole podcast. Chester in Chester,
- 6:17Speaker 1: South Carolina, Carolina Wow in Chester, South Carolina. Just before midnight,
- 6:25Speaker 1: a call comes into nine on one. Jamie Baldwin calls
- 6:28Speaker 1: into report that he had been in an accident with
- 6:30Speaker 1: his wife and him and his wife they were driving
- 6:33Speaker 1: in their jeep Wrangler, was a It was like a
- 6:37Speaker 1: newer jeep wrangler, like the newer kind, you know, the
- 6:40Speaker 1: fancier kind, not the kind we have. Yes, that's my mail.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I guess it's coming in. Oh my computer was shut down.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Sorry guys, it'll end here pretty soon. Anyways. So they're
- 6:50Speaker 1: driving in their jeep Wrangler and they had run off
- 6:53Speaker 1: of a bridge. He tells nine to one that his
- 6:55Speaker 1: wife is severely injured. She had been thrown from the vehicle,
- 6:59Speaker 1: and while on the nine one call, he says, he's
- 7:02Speaker 1: like so upset because his wife is over there bleeding.
- 7:05Speaker 1: He was okay obviously to get out, but she had
- 7:08Speaker 1: been It appeared she had been thrown from the vehicle.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Police an ambulance arrival on the scene and the jeep
- 7:13Speaker 1: is over the side of the bridge. While Jamie is
- 7:15Speaker 1: standing on top of the bridge, he tells him that
- 7:17Speaker 1: his wife is dead. Now while investigating the scene. Initially,
- 7:21Speaker 1: it appears that Judy had been thrown from the vehicle
- 7:25Speaker 1: and those injuries caused her death. She was found lying
- 7:29Speaker 1: perfectly parallel to the creek below. Now, when looking at
- 7:32Speaker 1: the area where they were driving, it all matches up
- 7:35Speaker 1: with what he's saying. You know, the road was curvy,
- 7:38Speaker 1: it was dark outside, so you could easily miss.
- 7:42Speaker 2: It and just go right off.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, so he says. When speaking to police, Jamie says
- 7:48Speaker 1: that he comes around the curve and that's when he
- 7:51Speaker 1: sees headlights like coming on his side of the road,
- 7:53Speaker 1: like someone had crossed over on the curve and went
- 7:57Speaker 1: into their lane. So that's when he tried to He
- 8:00Speaker 1: swerved to miss the oncoming truck, and that's when he
- 8:03Speaker 1: flew off the bridge. He said he was going around
- 8:05Speaker 1: sixty miles per hour at the time, but he never
- 8:08Speaker 1: put on his break. He said he was his main
- 8:09Speaker 1: focus was just trying to like not stop because that's
- 8:14Speaker 1: not gonna help, but swerve.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Anyway, So when Jamie is recounting his story, he said
- 8:23Speaker 1: that he hit his head pretty hard, so he passes out.
- 8:26Speaker 1: He said he he must have hit his head, He
- 8:29Speaker 1: must have passed out. When he comes to he is
- 8:32Speaker 1: trying to locate Judy, thinking she's in the passenger seat.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Still he can't find her there, so it took him.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Takes him a little bit because he's got to go
- 8:39Speaker 1: down here and like look around in the dark. He
- 8:42Speaker 1: finally finds her and he knew she was in really
- 8:44Speaker 1: bad shape, and so he decided he knew CPR, so
- 8:48Speaker 1: he starts doing CPR, and then whenever he called nine
- 8:51Speaker 1: to one, he's already When they asked him to do CPR,
- 8:54Speaker 1: he said, I've already tried, and she's not being revived.
- 8:58Speaker 2: It's looking not responding well to it.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and he was familiar with what he was looking
- 9:03Speaker 1: at because he was a former nine one one dispatcher
- 9:07Speaker 1: and he was a former police officer, so he was
- 9:10Speaker 1: well trained in what to do in an emergency situation.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Does he's a first responder?
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yes.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Now at this point, they have Jamie's statement at the scene,
- 9:20Speaker 2: so they take him to the hospital to treat his
- 9:22Speaker 2: injuries while the State Highway Patrol investigates the crash scene.
- 9:27Speaker 2: They begin by looking into the injuries to Judy's body.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Judy had quite a few bruises all over her as
- 9:34Speaker 2: well as several injuries to her head, including a laceration
- 9:37Speaker 2: behind her ear and one across her forehead. When looking
- 9:41Speaker 2: at the scene, though supposedly Judy was thrown from the vehicle,
- 9:45Speaker 2: and that's when they assume most of our injuries had
- 9:49Speaker 2: occurred and that all the blood, all Judy's blood, would
- 9:52Speaker 2: have been outside the vehicle. However, there was signs that
- 9:58Speaker 2: while there weren't signs, Judy's blood was all over the
- 10:01Speaker 2: passenger side of the vehicle.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all over the head like headrest, where it was
- 10:05Speaker 1: clear there was some sort of injury inside the vehicle.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Whenever they would have expected based on what Jamie said,
- 10:12Speaker 1: they would have expected all the blood to be I mean,
- 10:14Speaker 1: there might have been a few little scratches, but not
- 10:16Speaker 1: the pools of blood on the head wrist.
- 10:18Speaker 2: No, because she supposedly she died when she was not
- 10:21Speaker 2: wearing her seat belt and got ejected from the vehicle
- 10:23Speaker 2: during the crash. So police are like, hey, there's been
- 10:28Speaker 2: a lot of bleeding in here before she was ejected
- 10:30Speaker 2: from the vehicle. So we need to go speak to
- 10:32Speaker 2: Jamie again. Now he's at the hospital, and he tells
- 10:36Speaker 2: them that the reason there's but in the car was
- 10:38Speaker 2: because they were actually headed to the hospital when they
- 10:41Speaker 2: had the crash, which.
- 10:42Speaker 1: To me seems like a something big detail.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you know drank. Yeah, we were hurrying and then
- 10:49Speaker 2: this time my.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Wife had injured herself at the home. We were in
- 10:53Speaker 1: a rush and this happened.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it seems like, yeah, kind of buried to lead
- 10:57Speaker 2: there Jamie.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 2: So now the investigate edders need to get the story
- 11:01Speaker 2: straight as to what happened prior to the crash to
- 11:03Speaker 2: cause the injuries to Judy. Jamie tells officers that Judy
- 11:08Speaker 2: had fallen at the house and that these injuries were
- 11:12Speaker 2: a result of that fall, and then he got her
- 11:15Speaker 2: in the jeep and they headed to the hospital, which.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Would explain the you know, blood in the car. So
- 11:21Speaker 1: they have Jamie at the hospital. He is being treated.
- 11:23Speaker 1: He has no real serious injuries in the car accidents.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So investigators are starting to between him not telling them
- 11:30Speaker 1: that she was injured prior to getting in the vehicle
- 11:32Speaker 1: and that's why they were heading there, and then him
- 11:34Speaker 1: now having basically no injuries severe injuries. I don't even
- 11:41Speaker 1: think they found a severe like head wound that would
- 11:44Speaker 1: cause you to pass out or anything. That anyways, there's
- 11:47Speaker 1: some there's some red flags going on, so they need
- 11:49Speaker 1: to do their due diligence. Unlike that case that Ellen
- 11:53Speaker 1: Greenberg Apartment six O three.
- 11:55Speaker 2: They need to do their gory.
- 11:57Speaker 1: No, they needed this whole time I was doing this case,
- 12:01Speaker 1: like right in this case, kept thinking about it. I'm like, okay, well.
- 12:06Speaker 2: This is what you They could have taken his word
- 12:08Speaker 2: for it.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yes, they could have just taken his word for it
- 12:10Speaker 1: and moved on. I mean, you'll see there's some problems here.
- 12:12Speaker 1: But they are like looking into us. They're like, okay,
- 12:15Speaker 1: there's some red flags and they need to look into
- 12:16Speaker 1: this more. They bring Jamie back into the or they
- 12:19Speaker 1: bring him to the police station, this time for him
- 12:22Speaker 1: to go over all the events of that evening again.
- 12:25Speaker 1: He said that it was a normal day that they
- 12:27Speaker 1: went and they picked up dinner around seven thirty. I
- 12:30Speaker 1: said that was normally that was pretty late for them,
- 12:33Speaker 1: but they had work that evening, so it caused them delayed.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So they were eating dinner a little bit later than usual,
- 12:40Speaker 1: Jamie said, since it was almost Christmas, because remember it
- 12:42Speaker 1: was December fourteenth, Judy had decided to put up a
- 12:45Speaker 1: few additional decorations, add a few more things to the tree,
- 12:49Speaker 1: get it festive for family. Christmas coming up, well, Jamie.
- 12:53Speaker 1: He was heading out the next morning to Kentucky. He
- 12:56Speaker 1: was doing something like he was taking some Christmas presents
- 12:59Speaker 1: to some family men over there, maybe seeing some other
- 13:02Speaker 1: grandkids or something like that. Because we'll learn that there.
- 13:05Speaker 1: This is the second marriage for the two. So anyways,
- 13:08Speaker 1: so he's that's what he was busy doing. Why Judy's
- 13:11Speaker 1: putting up these decorations. Dodge that pull it, I guess, yes,
- 13:16Speaker 1: Stull will not be so lucky. Dodge the Christmas decorating.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Oh I will.
- 13:23Speaker 1: No, you won't.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I'm not sure how yet, but I'm sure I will.
- 13:26Speaker 1: No, because I believe in a real Christmas tree. I
- 13:29Speaker 1: will not. I will. Although I am I have to say,
- 13:32Speaker 1: I am embracing November. I hurried up and put Halloween
- 13:37Speaker 1: decorations up too soon, and by the time Halloween got here,
- 13:41Speaker 1: I was like, I'm over it, you know, So I
- 13:44Speaker 1: am learning restraint. I am not putting up I always
- 13:48Speaker 1: put the Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving, has
- 13:51Speaker 1: always been it. And this year I was a little
- 13:52Speaker 1: tempted to just.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Go full right off Halloween.
- 13:58Speaker 1: November first, let's let's get and let's put the stuff. Well,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna do the tree because I believe in
- 14:03Speaker 1: a real Christmas tree, so I like to go. It's
- 14:05Speaker 1: it kind of sucks because they're getting more and more expensive,
- 14:08Speaker 1: but I like to go. We like to have hot chocolate,
- 14:11Speaker 1: go pick out a Christmas tree. We try to go
- 14:14Speaker 1: to like a local like Christmas tree lot, but sometimes
- 14:19Speaker 1: the budget don't don't have it end up at lows
- 14:23Speaker 1: or sometimes Walmart Walls supper Cheap, but either way we
- 14:27Speaker 1: go with the real Christmas tree. But I'm trying to
- 14:29Speaker 1: embrace November and look at it as the the like
- 14:35Speaker 1: a like the harvest month. Like, let's still embrace fall activities.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Let's let's make a beef stew, let's drink tea. Why
- 14:46Speaker 1: do you say why? Because I said beef and stew.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You'll need to gobble up that beef stew. Well, anyways,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I'm like, let's embrace, let's read books, Let's go to
- 14:58Speaker 1: bed early, it's gets dark, get at six o'clock now. Anyways,
- 15:02Speaker 1: So that's sorry, that was my sidetrack.
- 15:04Speaker 2: But well last year we went to Europe, so well, my.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Other option is to just forego all.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Things Thanksgiving, jump on a plane.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Lead Well, because I had talked about us be doing
- 15:16Speaker 1: Thanksgiving bur like travel time where we go on a
- 15:18Speaker 1: big trip or something, because it's the perfect thing for work,
- 15:20Speaker 1: because you can take off like five you can take
- 15:23Speaker 1: off five days, but get like twelve days.
- 15:26Speaker 2: And everybody likes their families is at their house.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Well yeah, because it's actually cheaper. The flights are very
- 15:32Speaker 1: most expensive at Thanksgiving time domestically, but if you fly internationally,
- 15:37Speaker 1: it's a lot cheaper and things are less crowded. Anyways,
- 15:40Speaker 1: pro tip, pro tip. So anyways, Stu will not be
- 15:43Speaker 1: getting out of putting up decorations, so because he doesn't
- 15:46Speaker 1: like how I put the lights on the tree, so
- 15:49Speaker 1: therefore he takes over. This is true, So I intentionally
- 15:52Speaker 1: it's I'm weaponized in competence. I'm taking a queue from
- 15:56Speaker 1: the lesson from the men in the world and doing
- 15:59Speaker 1: weaponized and comp and I'm doing a poor job on
- 16:01Speaker 1: the lights. Stude takes over.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Bushes were good the trash.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Okay, see I just learned from watching Men. All right,
- 16:18Speaker 1: So Judy is putting up the decorations while Jamie is upstairs.
- 16:22Speaker 1: He is packing for his trip. He said. He then
- 16:25Speaker 1: went to go put a few tools away in the garage,
- 16:27Speaker 1: just finished tidying up, and this is when he walks
- 16:29Speaker 1: back into the home and he finds Judy on the
- 16:31Speaker 1: floor on her hands and knees, clearly in distress. He
- 16:35Speaker 1: said that he helped her to the bathroom and she
- 16:37Speaker 1: was breeding bleeding pretty profusely from the head, because you know,
- 16:40Speaker 1: a head injury. Those suckers bleed, yeah, like a murder thing.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So they cleaned her up and he told her, like,
- 16:48Speaker 1: this is not like you're not She was trying to
- 16:51Speaker 1: like brush it off. She's like, this is not okay.
- 16:54Speaker 1: We need to take you to the hospital because it
- 16:56Speaker 1: looks like you're gonna need some some stitches. So so
- 17:00Speaker 1: he said that they loaded up to go to the hospital,
- 17:02Speaker 1: but she insisted on not going to the closest hospital,
- 17:05Speaker 1: which was Chester Hospital, which was two miles away. She
- 17:09Speaker 1: wanted to go to Piedmont Hospital, which was about thirty
- 17:12Speaker 1: miles away. So they got in the car and headed
- 17:14Speaker 1: that way, and that's when they had the car crashed.
- 17:17Speaker 1: He said something. He said that she just didn't she
- 17:20Speaker 1: hated the Chester hospital and she wasn't going to.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Go there for treatment, not even abandoned.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I can see this. We had such a bad
- 17:31Speaker 1: experience with labor and delivery.
- 17:33Speaker 2: At the Blast Hospital.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that I could see myself. It's not that bad.
- 17:40Speaker 1: But if you're bleeding pretty profusal from your head, it's
- 17:42Speaker 1: kind of like, we just got to get to the
- 17:44Speaker 1: nearest hospital. But he says that she insisted on going
- 17:48Speaker 1: to this hospital that's pretty far away, and it would
- 17:52Speaker 1: have been dark and everything, like at night, so that
- 17:54Speaker 1: is quite the journey.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Now investigators have an additional scene that the need to process,
- 18:00Speaker 2: so they're probably like, great, we got to work overtime now.
- 18:04Speaker 2: So they head over to Jamie's house and they want
- 18:08Speaker 2: to see if everything lines up with the story that
- 18:10Speaker 2: he's telling. They head to their home and upon entering,
- 18:13Speaker 2: they do see the step ladder near the tree where
- 18:16Speaker 2: she supposedly fell from, and then they also see blood
- 18:19Speaker 2: on the fireplace. Mental Now, it was the Chester County
- 18:23Speaker 2: Sheriff's Department that processed the scene. They took a few photos,
- 18:27Speaker 2: pretty much wrapped up the investigation based on what Jamie
- 18:30Speaker 2: had told them.
- 18:31Speaker 1: They're more like the was it Philadelphia Police Department? Yeah, okay,
- 18:35Speaker 1: Ellen brother like that. That's what he said.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Good good, But there were concerns of conflict that interest
- 18:41Speaker 2: due to the fact that Jamie had retired from the
- 18:44Speaker 2: sheriff's apartment. The family, in particular of Judy was starting
- 18:48Speaker 2: to have questions because they really didn't understand why Jamie
- 18:52Speaker 2: would take her to the further away hospital if she
- 18:54Speaker 2: was bleeding that bed. He is a first responder. If
- 18:57Speaker 2: he said it's that bad, you know, it's like you're
- 18:59Speaker 2: really drive an extra thirty miles, which could be forty
- 19:02Speaker 2: five minutes to.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I mean, based on how much she was bleeding in
- 19:05Speaker 1: the because it's not like it didn't seem like the
- 19:08Speaker 1: wound was under control, based on the amount of blood
- 19:10Speaker 1: on the head rest, because she had the big laceration
- 19:13Speaker 1: on the behind her ear and then on her forehead.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So the one behind her ear was bleeding enough to
- 19:18Speaker 1: like soak all the way into the headrest of the jeep.
- 19:20Speaker 1: That was like a darkish gray, blackish color and you
- 19:23Speaker 1: could see like bright red blood, meaning it soaked it
- 19:26Speaker 1: up plus started you know, uh, piling up. That's not
- 19:32Speaker 1: the word pulling, pooling too enough where it looked you
- 19:36Speaker 1: could it wouldn't just look like a wet you know,
- 19:38Speaker 1: like if it's initially just bleeding a little bit, it
- 19:40Speaker 1: might just look like it might look black where it
- 19:42Speaker 1: got wet or whatever. But if it's bleeding enough to
- 19:45Speaker 1: soak all the way up to where it's pulling and
- 19:47Speaker 1: showing red, that's pretty bad.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Well. See. I Also they're saying they don't understand why
- 19:53Speaker 2: he can go to the one that was two miles away,
- 19:54Speaker 2: which I don't understand why he's not applying pressure and
- 19:58Speaker 2: waiting for the ambulance to show up. Okay, the hospital
- 20:00Speaker 2: two miles away. We all have the story about her
- 20:04Speaker 2: Judy hating the Chester hospital that was right there close
- 20:09Speaker 2: to them. Was not adding up to the family or
- 20:11Speaker 2: the investigators.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Well some of the investigators, remember the Chester County.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Sheriff Sheriff's apartment is like cool, but like.
- 20:20Speaker 1: The state police were the part ones on.
- 20:22Speaker 2: The scene while you were here. We'll cover your stuff.
- 20:26Speaker 2: We won't ask any questions about yours.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Another thing that was a red flag to the family
- 20:30Speaker 1: is Judy's son, who she was very close to, actually
- 20:33Speaker 1: lived across the street, and he found it very odd
- 20:36Speaker 1: that they didn't call him and asked him to come
- 20:38Speaker 1: help or apply pressure why they drove Judy to the
- 20:42Speaker 1: furthest Away hospital.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Now we're going to have to go to North Carolina
- 20:46Speaker 2: to the hospital I like. On top of that, once
- 20:49Speaker 2: Judy's autopsy was done, they determined that the injuries that
- 20:54Speaker 2: she would have sustained from a fall did not match
- 20:57Speaker 2: up with the injuries that were actually on our body.
- 21:00Speaker 2: They also didn't line up with being thrown from a vehicle.
- 21:04Speaker 2: In the end, Judy's cause of death was severe brain trauma.
- 21:08Speaker 2: The medical examiner in the end gave an unknown cause
- 21:12Speaker 2: of death because I.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Think I couldn't remember one's a cause, so the she
- 21:17Speaker 1: definitely died from the brain injury, and I think that's
- 21:20Speaker 1: the cause. I think the manner is where they don't know.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Ye, it wasn't accidental, but they couldn't quite say it
- 21:28Speaker 2: was homicide.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Well, they say unknown, which is all that the people
- 21:31Speaker 1: in the Ellen Greenberg case wanted because if they put
- 21:34Speaker 1: it as unknown, then they have to keep investigating it.
- 21:37Speaker 1: They don't have to say, yes, it was definitely a
- 21:39Speaker 1: homicide or yes it was definitely an accident. If you
- 21:41Speaker 1: put unknown, that at least makes them have to look
- 21:45Speaker 1: into it further, which is what they should have done
- 21:47Speaker 1: in that Ellen Greenberg, they shouldn't have just put suicide.
- 21:50Speaker 1: They should have put unknown at least.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Well Judy was listed as an unknown because they knew
- 21:54Speaker 2: for sure her wounds were not caused by accident.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Well they didn't.
- 22:00Speaker 2: The story from what happened from the vehicle ejections or falling.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Things aren't lining up with what was told.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Can't They can't prove it's a homicide. Yes, so they
- 22:10Speaker 2: have to go. So they're gonna go with unknown. And
- 22:13Speaker 2: that's where we're at in the story of Kara.
- 22:16Speaker 1: All right, So due to the medical examiners having you know,
- 22:21Speaker 1: this is this is a small town? Is he I
- 22:25Speaker 1: think he was a corner maybe not a medical examiner.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I think there's a difference. I don't know if one
- 22:30Speaker 1: is not.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I think a medical examiner is elected and a corner
- 22:34Speaker 2: is hired.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Okay, Well, anyways, is a small town? Bro Zinski has
- 22:39Speaker 1: not seen that much. So, like, let's get a.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Usually all people from the nursing home just expiring.
- 22:46Speaker 1: And sometimes I think in those towns it's a lot
- 22:49Speaker 1: of those small areas, it's like a retired doctor, but
- 22:52Speaker 1: he's not necessarily like it's not like you're in a
- 22:56Speaker 1: big city where you see dead people come in all
- 22:58Speaker 1: the time, and that you have to figure out what
- 22:59Speaker 1: happened to them because they're all being like murdered in
- 23:02Speaker 1: different ways, you know, so not like those people in Philadelphia.
- 23:06Speaker 1: That medical examiner shouldn't know better, all right. So they
- 23:08Speaker 1: bring in this renowned medical examiner from the area, and
- 23:12Speaker 1: she didn't agree with the story, like Jamie was saying,
- 23:16Speaker 1: She's on the same page with the medical examiner in
- 23:19Speaker 1: the county. She's saying, I don't know, these injuries don't
- 23:22Speaker 1: line up with what Jamie is telling her telling her
- 23:25Speaker 1: she also wanted additional information to be able to put
- 23:27Speaker 1: down a cause of death a manner of death. I
- 23:31Speaker 1: don't know which one it was, Okay, I think manner is.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Maybe how the cause happened.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Maybe it is cause of death is the manner of death.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Maybe you should look this up before you get on
- 23:43Speaker 2: the podcast.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Anyways, cause slash the cause slash, manner of death. However,
- 23:49Speaker 1: the sheriff's department, so she said, so again, it's kind
- 23:51Speaker 1: of like the Ellen Greenberg. She's like, hey, I need
- 23:53Speaker 1: more information. Did you write the story down wrong? Did
- 23:58Speaker 1: Jamie's account? Was it wrong? And maybe this was still
- 24:01Speaker 1: an accident. Maybe he just said it wrong, or he
- 24:04Speaker 1: didn't get all the facts straight, or you guys didn't. Well,
- 24:07Speaker 1: they won't help her because that Chester County Sheriff's apartment's like,
- 24:10Speaker 1: whoa bitch, we already closed this game. Our buddy, Jamie.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Is we gotta, we gotta, we got a department barbecue
- 24:17Speaker 2: this weekend.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we got the we gotta, we got things. So
- 24:22Speaker 1: they're not providing any additional information. They won't go and
- 24:26Speaker 1: talk to Jamie again. They were like they were just
- 24:28Speaker 1: stonewalling her, saying, hey, this case is closed. I have
- 24:32Speaker 1: no idea what you're talking about. Where we're done with this.
- 24:36Speaker 1: So she can't she can't progress her investigation to name
- 24:40Speaker 1: a manner of death without more information from some sort
- 24:45Speaker 1: of legal or some sort of uh, what is it?
- 24:49Speaker 1: What's not legal authority? What's the police department?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Law enforcement?
- 24:54Speaker 1: Law enforcement?
- 24:55Speaker 2: Wow?
- 24:55Speaker 1: You just yes, Well, the county prosecutor did look at
- 25:00Speaker 1: at this case, and she was also receiving like a
- 25:02Speaker 1: lack of information from the Sheriff's department, and so she's like,
- 25:05Speaker 1: fuck you guys, and she brings in Sledge, which is
- 25:08Speaker 1: the South State Law Enforcement Division in South Carolina. They
- 25:12Speaker 1: call it SLED.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah, because they're going to come in, they're going to
- 25:16Speaker 2: oversee an investigation.
- 25:17Speaker 1: They're going to be independent and yeah they have no ties.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they have no ties, and they'll come and investigate
- 25:24Speaker 2: a law enforcement agency if they believe there's corruption or whatever.
- 25:27Speaker 2: So they kind of like oversee.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Well they can come in, but they can still they
- 25:33Speaker 1: can still.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Be well, they can come in, they can do investigations
- 25:36Speaker 2: and murders.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And then say suggest to the prosecutor, Hey, this is
- 25:39Speaker 1: definitely and then push try to push that local either
- 25:44Speaker 1: sheriff's department or police departments.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Mean like hey, well yeah, and if they find some
- 25:48Speaker 2: mouth eeas that's going on, they can investigate that department
- 25:51Speaker 2: as well. Yes, now SLED looks into the evidence, and
- 25:54Speaker 2: they're also suspicious of Jamie's recall of events and inconsistencies.
- 26:00Speaker 2: It's a nice way of putting I think he's lying. However,
- 26:03Speaker 2: there was still a stone wall from the Chester County
- 26:07Speaker 2: County Sheriff's Department about the investigation, saying it was closed
- 26:11Speaker 2: and it was just an unfortunate accident where the combined
- 26:14Speaker 2: injuries caused Judy's death. But things changed when a woman
- 26:20Speaker 2: named Terry called in the sheriff's apartment about her house
- 26:24Speaker 2: burning down. Terry was in the motorcycle club with Judy
- 26:28Speaker 2: and Jamie, and she started dating Jamie just a few
- 26:31Speaker 2: weeks after Judy passed away. She says that she believes
- 26:35Speaker 2: Jamie set her house on fire after a very combative breakup.
- 26:40Speaker 2: So he dates her for a couple of weeks after
- 26:43Speaker 2: his wife after his wife dies, and then he gets into.
- 26:45Speaker 1: A argument with her about breaking up. Yeah, the next
- 26:51Speaker 1: thing you know, our house has been burned down.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Terry said that she told Jamie to take his toothbrush
- 26:57Speaker 2: and his extra drawers and get the he out of
- 27:00Speaker 2: her house, and that soon after she kicked him out
- 27:04Speaker 2: or refused to let him come back, her house was
- 27:07Speaker 2: set on fire. The difference between Terry's case and Judy's
- 27:11Speaker 2: case is that Terry lived in York County, next over
- 27:14Speaker 2: from Chester County. Therefore, the York County Sheriff's Department they
- 27:19Speaker 2: were like, hey, Slid, Yeah, you want to come in
- 27:20Speaker 2: and help assist with the investigation, Come on in.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yes, they were, because I do appreciate small sheriff's department
- 27:28Speaker 1: police departments that are like, hey, this isn't something we
- 27:31Speaker 1: deal with. We're small. We need help from somebody who
- 27:34Speaker 1: deals with a bunch of terrible things all the time
- 27:36Speaker 1: and can help have a more sinister eye.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Well, also critically eye. SLED has a pile of money.
- 27:43Speaker 2: They can come in with all their arson investigators and everything,
- 27:46Speaker 2: and well, yes, they.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Have a level of expertise that you're not going to
- 27:49Speaker 1: get from a little tiny sheriff's apartment with five sheriff
- 27:53Speaker 1: with the sheriff and five deputies.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not going to get the volunteer York County
- 27:57Speaker 2: Fire Department to come investigate arson. They're probably not as
- 28:00Speaker 2: learning whether his sled can be blowing down resources.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Well, investigators need to learn a little bit more about Judy.
- 28:06Speaker 1: So now we've got this all tight end. So we
- 28:08Speaker 1: got Terry saying Jamie burnerhouse down, he's dating her a
- 28:11Speaker 1: couple weeks after Judy's dead. Now Jamie's looking a little suspicious.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So now Sled and everybody's like, okay, let's look into
- 28:19Speaker 1: this relationship. So Judy was a single mom to two
- 28:23Speaker 1: boys when she met Jamie. Her first husband had died
- 28:26Speaker 1: in a motorcycle accident, and everyone said that they were
- 28:30Speaker 1: with her first hub. She was just like so in
- 28:32Speaker 1: love and everything that that what's funny is her first
- 28:34Speaker 1: husband died in a motorcycle accident. She was part of
- 28:37Speaker 1: the motorcycle club too, I believe, and then she meets
- 28:39Speaker 1: somebody in a motors I'd be like, I ain't doing
- 28:41Speaker 1: this motorcycle thing no more, you know.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Then lost one person.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyways, so she was very in love with her
- 28:48Speaker 1: first husband. So this whole thing was very devastating to Judy.
- 28:52Speaker 1: So at this point in her life, she is now
- 28:55Speaker 1: like a single widowed mother of two young sons, and
- 28:59Speaker 1: now she needs to be the primary provider. So she
- 29:01Speaker 1: starts her own cleaning business to makeens meet.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Well.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Her cleaning business she was doing more than Macon's meat.
- 29:10Speaker 1: It actually turned into a really successful business and she
- 29:13Speaker 1: really loved it. So now she's got her sons who
- 29:15Speaker 1: she's very close with, she's got her cleaning business. But
- 29:18Speaker 1: something was missing, was because she was alone. And so
- 29:22Speaker 1: that's when she meets Jamie. Well, everyone was very happy
- 29:25Speaker 1: when she met Jamie. He seemed like a great guy.
- 29:28Speaker 1: He was a former police officer, he'd retired from the
- 29:30Speaker 1: nine one one dispatch and they were very very happy together.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Like we said, they were in the motorcycle club together.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Both her sons were very happy with Jamie because their.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Mom, he was a father figure to them.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Well, no, they were older, I think whenever she finally
- 29:48Speaker 1: but they were just happy. They just wanted to see
- 29:49Speaker 1: their mom happy after all these years of putting in
- 29:51Speaker 1: all this hard work raising them, going through the loss
- 29:53Speaker 1: of their father everything, so things are going well. However,
- 30:00Speaker 1: had been on the decline in the marriage as of late,
- 30:03Speaker 1: and friends and family members noticed a change in their relationship.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Some were even concerned that Judy may have confronted Jamie
- 30:12Speaker 1: about leaving and then that's when things are looking you know,
- 30:16Speaker 1: something could have happened to her. This is what's going
- 30:18Speaker 1: on in their head, Like could she have said, hey,
- 30:21Speaker 1: I want to get out and then he hurt her
- 30:23Speaker 1: or something in this car wreck. She never had They
- 30:26Speaker 1: never said she looked, she had any signs of abuse
- 30:28Speaker 1: prior to this. They're just saying that maybe that's what
- 30:31Speaker 1: could have possibly happened. Because whenever the investigators looked into
- 30:34Speaker 1: their finances, they found that Jamie was struggling with money
- 30:38Speaker 1: and he was heavily dependent on Judy's money from her
- 30:41Speaker 1: cleaning business, because I don't know how much you're making
- 30:43Speaker 1: as a NIH. One would dispatcher retireing unless you just
- 30:48Speaker 1: from the Chester County Sheriff's Department.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Now, I don't know what their pension program looks like.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I don't know if they had a matching four one
- 30:55Speaker 2: k what the match was, if they only matched three,
- 30:58Speaker 2: if they had a match at all.
- 31:00Speaker 1: He looked like an abled body human though he should
- 31:02Speaker 1: have just went back to work, one would think instead
- 31:05Speaker 1: of taking his judy was still like cleaning and doing
- 31:07Speaker 1: stuff like that. I mean, Jesus. Anyways, they also found
- 31:11Speaker 1: out that he had taken out an accidental insurance policy
- 31:15Speaker 1: this summer before she died, and this was like not
- 31:17Speaker 1: an accident, he didn't accidentally take it out, meaning if
- 31:19Speaker 1: she died in an accident. This one specifically was for accidental.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Death accidental death and dismemberment, yes.
- 31:25Speaker 1: And so it was odd to just bring out just
- 31:28Speaker 1: to sign up for that policy just before she six
- 31:32Speaker 1: months before she passed.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Away, which will not pay out in case of a
- 31:36Speaker 2: If you're trying to poison your your husband, you don't
- 31:39Speaker 2: want the accidental death and dismemoriment policy.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I won't because it'll be because it needs to dine in
- 31:47Speaker 1: an accident. So you're trying to let me know what. Yes, okay.
- 31:52Speaker 1: So with all the pressure from the finances of Jamie
- 31:55Speaker 1: and Judy and the home of Terry being burnt down
- 31:58Speaker 1: and Jamie being under suspicion, the Chester Sheriff's Department was
- 32:02Speaker 1: almost basically forced to reopen this case because it looked
- 32:07Speaker 1: like there were some concerning things around Jamie and Judy's relationship.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Definitely some concerning things with Jamie and Terry. Jamie's at
- 32:14Speaker 1: the center of it. They're like, well, fuck, we can't
- 32:16Speaker 1: help you out.
- 32:16Speaker 2: No, you done dead it. Now you've done it.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Now down you went one two far. We were gonna
- 32:21Speaker 1: help you out with the Judy thing, but.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Stonewall.
- 32:26Speaker 1: So the Chester Sheriff's Sheriff's Department they did bring in
- 32:31Speaker 1: sled at this point they're like, okay, well we still
- 32:33Speaker 1: can't handle this, so you guys come on in and
- 32:36Speaker 1: they begin investigating the crime as a potential homicide. However,
- 32:39Speaker 1: would be an uphill battle because Jamie had around nine
- 32:42Speaker 1: months to clean up and cover up this crime. I mean,
- 32:44Speaker 1: he didn't sit there and leave the the the little
- 32:47Speaker 1: step stool and the blood all over the mantle. He
- 32:51Speaker 1: cleaned everything up, cleaned everything out of their home.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Sleds started their investigation and found some critical inconsistencies in
- 32:58Speaker 2: Jamie's story. One started with the crash sit that reviewed
- 33:02Speaker 2: the evidence, and it appeared that the tire marks and
- 33:06Speaker 2: the rate of speed that he said he was going.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Because remember he said he was going sixty miles per hour,
- 33:10Speaker 1: So imagine what tire marks would do speeding off of
- 33:14Speaker 1: a bridge and hitting at that speed.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Going through the dirt, the rocks on the shoulder of
- 33:19Speaker 2: the road, and then going on the thing.
- 33:20Speaker 1: It would be, uh, you're you're Basically they were saying
- 33:24Speaker 1: that the tire marks would have been more like if
- 33:26Speaker 1: you're when you're spinning out in a you're stuck or something,
- 33:30Speaker 1: because they're just going that fast. Like it's not it's
- 33:32Speaker 1: not going to be these perfect like if you were
- 33:34Speaker 1: going at a slow speeded, you'd have these perfect tire imprints,
- 33:37Speaker 1: not any type of rotation where the mud the mutter or.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you wouldn't be to you wouldn't be able to
- 33:43Speaker 2: see the tire treads.
- 33:44Speaker 1: That cleared, like you might be able to see it,
- 33:46Speaker 1: but it wouldn't be as clearly as it's not matching
- 33:48Speaker 1: up with the speed that you would expect at sixty
- 33:51Speaker 1: miles per hour. They're saying that the tire tracks did
- 33:53Speaker 1: not look like the tire tracks you would see at
- 33:55Speaker 1: that speed.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Now, so basically what they found, they found these perfect
- 33:59Speaker 2: tire tracks going on road, and they shouldn't have been
- 34:03Speaker 2: so clearly, like Kara was saying, visible in the muddy.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure they have with that kind of thing.
- 34:09Speaker 1: They probably have pictures of what at different speeds, what
- 34:11Speaker 1: tire marks look like, and they hold up a picture
- 34:14Speaker 1: like this is what it should look like at sixty
- 34:16Speaker 1: miles for hour, and this is what should looked like
- 34:17Speaker 1: at about fifteen miles part.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Just like in my cousin Benny when they had the
- 34:20Speaker 2: tire tracks and they had the independent rear suspension.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, so just like my cousin Finny. Yes, I'm
- 34:25Speaker 1: sure these guys were big fans growing up and that's
- 34:27Speaker 1: why they are living well.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Sled believes that it looks like the car the jeep
- 34:32Speaker 2: was parked on the side of the road and it
- 34:34Speaker 2: looks like Jamie just pushed it. Because to back up
- 34:38Speaker 2: their theory, they were able to obtain a black box
- 34:42Speaker 2: from the jeep.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Yes, so if you're trying to do something sketchy. Apparently
- 34:45Speaker 1: a lot of these cars have the black box now,
- 34:47Speaker 1: the newer ones, just like an airplane.
- 34:49Speaker 2: I did not know that. I know we probably got
- 34:51Speaker 2: one in our van.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Yes, I'm sure anything, because this was twenty sixteen. It
- 34:54Speaker 1: looked like a newer Jeep Wrangler, like I said to
- 34:57Speaker 1: the more of the fancy Jeep Wranglers, and it had
- 35:01Speaker 1: a black box. It's not I don't think it's as
- 35:03Speaker 1: intricate as obviously like an airplane black box, but it
- 35:07Speaker 1: knows about emergency movements.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Yes, the so, yes, they're able to get the black
- 35:12Speaker 2: box from the jeep. Found no indication of any type
- 35:15Speaker 2: of emergency movements, meaning slamming on the brake, swerving. Air
- 35:20Speaker 2: air bags are not deployed, and you.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Would expect all this stuff at sixty miles per hour.
- 35:25Speaker 1: And he said he sworeve. He said he didn't slam
- 35:27Speaker 1: on the brakes, but he said he swerved.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Served out of way. What they're thinking is he was
- 35:32Speaker 2: going over. He wasn't going He wasn't going over fifteen
- 35:37Speaker 2: miles an hour or whenever. This supposed accident occurred.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Which if you can imagine pushing something down an embankment,
- 35:42Speaker 1: that's probably about how fast it would go.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Depending on how to streat the embankment. Yeah. Now, on
- 35:48Speaker 2: top of that, there was no way for Judy to
- 35:50Speaker 2: have been ejected from the vehicle without someone opening the
- 35:53Speaker 2: door and letting her out. The vehicle never flipped over
- 35:57Speaker 2: and didn't have any types of movements that you would
- 36:01Speaker 2: see within an injection from the vehicle. There was no
- 36:04Speaker 2: broken windshield, so she didn't go out there, so the
- 36:07Speaker 2: only other way she could have gone is out the
- 36:09Speaker 2: passenger window somehow.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Well, ma, I was going to play devil's advocate here,
- 36:13Speaker 1: possibly if she could have been confused and got herself
- 36:19Speaker 1: out of the vehicle and then stumbled and fell. But
- 36:22Speaker 1: the problem with it is the forensic evidence on her
- 36:24Speaker 1: autopsy don't match up with that either. So now, but
- 36:27Speaker 1: I'm just saying that could have been in if he
- 36:31Speaker 1: didn't really do this, then that could have been because
- 36:34Speaker 1: he supposedly was passed out of there, so she could
- 36:36Speaker 1: have got been dazed and stumbled out. But I think
- 36:39Speaker 1: they looked at the I think with that they kind
- 36:42Speaker 1: of rolled that out. I know that. I remember them
- 36:45Speaker 1: saying that they did something with the passengers and there
- 36:49Speaker 1: should have been blood or something like fingerprints because she
- 36:52Speaker 1: had so much blood on her nice if she had
- 36:54Speaker 1: let herself out.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Yes. The next day, Sled looked that evidence at the
- 37:00Speaker 2: home where Judy had supposedly fallen off the ladder. She
- 37:04Speaker 2: was supposedly standing on a step ladder that was only
- 37:06Speaker 2: fifty one inches tall, and based on the height of
- 37:09Speaker 2: the mantle and where the where her one of her
- 37:13Speaker 2: injuries were on her head, it would have been near
- 37:15Speaker 2: impossible for her to sustain that type of injury.
- 37:19Speaker 1: And they did have those Chester Chriff's apartment did go
- 37:22Speaker 1: in there and take pictures, so you do have pictures
- 37:25Speaker 1: of the exact step ladder he said that she was on.
- 37:27Speaker 1: So they are able to get those types of This
- 37:30Speaker 1: is why there's hope for the Ellen Greenberg case. They
- 37:32Speaker 1: were able to figure this stuff out from old evidence.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Problem with the Ellen Greenberg case they didn't treat it
- 37:40Speaker 1: as any type of They at least looked into it
- 37:42Speaker 1: a little bit. That gave them some evidence. Ellen Greenberg,
- 37:45Speaker 1: they just like took a couple of pictures and left like.
- 37:47Speaker 2: There was ro Down's step, yeah, and walked out the
- 37:49Speaker 2: door on top of that.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Getting back to our story, care, I know I can't
- 37:56Speaker 1: let it goes.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Do, No, you cannot. There was blood splatder batter that
- 38:01Speaker 2: was ten feet the wall.
- 38:03Speaker 1: That's what it's been going on for years. Yes, do
- 38:05Speaker 1: telling me it's spatter, and I still write.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Splatter every time, and like a dummy, I read it.
- 38:12Speaker 2: So the blood spatters ten feet up the wall toward
- 38:14Speaker 2: the ceiling, and based on this supposed fall that she
- 38:19Speaker 2: had taken, this would have never this blood spatter would
- 38:22Speaker 2: have never gone up the wall like that.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you have to be hit it a pretty hard
- 38:27Speaker 1: force at a pretty high velocity with something so imagine
- 38:31Speaker 1: like a imagine just being next to a Christmas tree
- 38:34Speaker 1: in a mantle and you falling back and cutting. That's
- 38:37Speaker 1: not a high velocity fall to cause splatter to go
- 38:40Speaker 1: up on ten foot ceilings like that's huge. That's more
- 38:44Speaker 1: consistent with someone having beaten you like at like that
- 38:47Speaker 1: and something multiple times and it's splattering each time. Because yeah,
- 38:52Speaker 1: if you just hit one time, you're not going to
- 38:54Speaker 1: have all this. You're going to have the cut and
- 38:56Speaker 1: that's it.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Yeah, all the blood will be on the floor. With
- 39:01Speaker 2: this information, sled provides it to a second medical examiner,
- 39:05Speaker 2: to the expert.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Not to the to the second one. The expert one, no,
- 39:09Speaker 1: you said to a second medical examiner, Okay, the woman, the.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Woman they brought in. Yes, and she concluded that the
- 39:17Speaker 2: cause of death was a homicide. Based on that evidence,
- 39:21Speaker 2: she determined that Judy had been beaten to death. She
- 39:25Speaker 2: believed that she had been beaten with a metal stocking
- 39:27Speaker 2: holder that was found at the scene, and that the
- 39:30Speaker 2: laceration on her forehead seemed to match the ridges that
- 39:35Speaker 2: were on the stocking holder.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Man, this is terrible. This is like this would have
- 39:39Speaker 1: This is terrible.
- 39:41Speaker 2: We got those stocking holders.
- 39:42Speaker 1: This sounds like one of my Like this sounds like
- 39:46Speaker 1: like a Christmas murder mystery book where they're like beaten
- 39:49Speaker 1: with the stocking holder. This is like disturbing that he
- 39:53Speaker 1: would do this.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yes, the medical examiner believes that Judy was dead or
- 39:57Speaker 2: nearly dead at the time that she was moved from
- 40:01Speaker 2: the vehicle and the crash was staged.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Yes, because he he planned all this out so that
- 40:09Speaker 1: he would have a supposed you gotta be more dedicated,
- 40:12Speaker 1: though he should have. He had to take he should
- 40:14Speaker 1: have really ran the car off the bridge. If you
- 40:16Speaker 1: want to be you got to commit.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Okay, you got to commit by Yeah, you got to
- 40:20Speaker 2: run it off the bridge.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Hopefully whatever happens to you happens to you, and you
- 40:24Speaker 1: just hope for the best. Not telling you how to
- 40:26Speaker 1: get away with murder, I'm just telling you that if
- 40:28Speaker 1: you're going to do this, you need to.
- 40:29Speaker 2: You got to put your own life at risk.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Yes, if it really means that much to you. With
- 40:33Speaker 1: all this information, investigators now believe what happened was Judy
- 40:36Speaker 1: and Jamie got into an argument, possibly Judy finding out,
- 40:40Speaker 1: because they believe that, see, he's terror dating this Terry.
- 40:43Speaker 1: A couple weeks later, they're pretty sure Terry, I think
- 40:47Speaker 1: she either told them or something. But this was going
- 40:49Speaker 1: on prior prior to him and Judy no longer being together,
- 40:55Speaker 1: because Judy was no longer with us anyway, so she's
- 40:58Speaker 1: they're thinking maybe Judy found out about the affair or
- 41:01Speaker 1: something like that, or started talking about the finances. She
- 41:04Speaker 1: threatened to leave him or asked him to leave the home,
- 41:07Speaker 1: and this is when, in a rage, he beat her
- 41:09Speaker 1: and then proceeded to stage the crime scene with the
- 41:12Speaker 1: crash and everything like that, so they probably got in
- 41:14Speaker 1: a fight. He gets angry and then he's like, Okay,
- 41:17Speaker 1: oh god, what am I going to do? And this
- 41:19Speaker 1: is what he came up with with this information. They
- 41:23Speaker 1: confront Jamie with all the evidence that they have found,
- 41:25Speaker 1: just to see if they can get a confession out
- 41:27Speaker 1: of him. Well, he begins saying that he doesn't know
- 41:30Speaker 1: how she fell and that there wasn't an altercation or anything.
- 41:32Speaker 1: He's denying any type of involvement. He continues to say
- 41:36Speaker 1: he knows nothing. He told them everything that he does know,
- 41:39Speaker 1: but they weren't convinced, so they go ahead and charge
- 41:41Speaker 1: him with Judy's murder. Jesus, why is the emails keep.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Coming in Stewart, You're a popular girl.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Okay, what are you doing trying to get outfits for
- 41:49Speaker 1: our Christmas photos? Anyways, So he's not I'm surprised he didn't.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Maybe he since he'd been in law enforce. Maybe he's like,
- 41:57Speaker 1: these fuckers don't have anything on me. But they really
- 41:59Speaker 1: did have stuff. So the case did go to trial,
- 42:02Speaker 1: and Jamie continued to profess his innocence. Well the prosecution, however, Yeah,
- 42:08Speaker 1: he's like sticking to it so the prosecute cution though,
- 42:12Speaker 1: they had some pretty solid scientific arguments behind this. This
- 42:15Speaker 1: wasn't just some you know something without any type of
- 42:19Speaker 1: evidence to back it up. This wasn't a what's it circumstantial?
- 42:24Speaker 1: Only they did have evidence, scientific evidence, and they had
- 42:28Speaker 1: experts that could argue that everything that Jamie said was
- 42:31Speaker 1: a lie. And in the end, on November fifth, twenty nineteen,
- 42:35Speaker 1: a jury did find Jamie guilty of Judy's murder and
- 42:38Speaker 1: he was sentenced to life in prison.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I think he'll do life.
- 42:44Speaker 1: No, I think he if it was like a oh
- 42:47Speaker 1: I gave hypiotic ooh. Anyways, if if he, if he
- 42:56Speaker 1: did it does sound like he did it in a rage.
- 42:58Speaker 1: But I wonder if he ever got I'm sure he's
- 43:00Speaker 1: they'd probably followed up with the whole Terry thing, you know,
- 43:05Speaker 1: the arson with Terry.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Think you got charged with Ardam? Did you look that up?
- 43:09Speaker 1: No? Did you? No? Okay, anyways, well that's our case
- 43:13Speaker 1: for I'll look it up and find out for you
- 43:15Speaker 1: guys for next week and tell us, yes, I'll look
- 43:19Speaker 1: it up by Steve's doing his yalling Jesus, and I'll
- 43:22Speaker 1: let you guys do Stu are you ready, I was
- 43:26Speaker 1: what happened?
- 43:27Speaker 2: I don't know where it.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Anyways, all those emails were for we have family Christmas
- 43:33Speaker 1: photos next week, so I'm trying to It already costs
- 43:39Speaker 1: money to get the photos. I just do those mini sessions.
- 43:43Speaker 1: I'm just talking to them. So do I need you
- 43:45Speaker 1: to focus on finding your yalling Jesus? Anyways, it already
- 43:47Speaker 1: costs money to do the photos. But we're at the
- 43:50Speaker 1: point where we have too many children. We cannot I
- 43:52Speaker 1: used to just have the photos. We used to take
- 43:54Speaker 1: the photos ourselves with our little tripod.
- 43:58Speaker 2: I can't get having a bunch.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Of Okay, I cannot. Maybe you should keep it in
- 44:02Speaker 1: your pants.
- 44:03Speaker 2: I keep it in your pants.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Oh, I'm supposed to keep my legs closed and you're
- 44:07Speaker 1: supposed to keep it in your pants. Anyways, it is
- 44:10Speaker 1: impossible to get good photos with all these children looking
- 44:13Speaker 1: and everything like that. So we found a photographer here
- 44:16Speaker 1: and she does really good job, like I don't know
- 44:17Speaker 1: how she makes miracles happen, but she does. So we
- 44:22Speaker 1: have Christmas photos. But I've already paid for the Christmas
- 44:24Speaker 1: session and these are just many sessions, which that's fine
- 44:26Speaker 1: because all our kids can handles fifteen to twenty minutes anyways.
- 44:29Speaker 2: But I don't want to spend that's all I can handle.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I don't want to double up the cost of the
- 44:36Speaker 1: photos by then having to spend two hundred dollars on
- 44:39Speaker 1: new clothes for everybody that we're gonna wear once. So
- 44:42Speaker 1: I was trying to find something that would match the
- 44:44Speaker 1: background that we already had. So I have the black dress.
- 44:48Speaker 1: You I think you have a black sweater, don't you.
- 44:51Speaker 2: I don't know, but I don't even know what you're
- 44:52Speaker 2: talking about trying to put me in khaki corduro We've
- 44:56Speaker 2: done lost your hand. I know you were.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Do you have any khakis? And he's like, I don't
- 45:02Speaker 1: know how to look. I was like, okay, what about
- 45:03Speaker 1: can I Will you wear some khaki corduroys.
- 45:06Speaker 2: He said no, and she's like, what'd you Well, we'll
- 45:09Speaker 2: look at these. I'm like, no, I'm not gonna wear
- 45:11Speaker 2: them anyways. Well would you at least look now I'm
- 45:14Speaker 2: not here, It would have.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Looked nice because two D is in corduroys anyway. So
- 45:19Speaker 1: I was able to catch the children's place head a
- 45:22Speaker 1: big cell today, so I was able to I don't
- 45:26Speaker 1: have to buy a new dress, which is more probably
- 45:28Speaker 1: the most expensive thing. You should be good. We just
- 45:31Speaker 1: have to get you some khakis, which I got from
- 45:33Speaker 1: Old Navy on cell today. And then I got the
- 45:37Speaker 1: children's things from the Children's Place sixty percent off, so
- 45:40Speaker 1: I was able to get everybody's I was able to
- 45:43Speaker 1: get everything for like uh twenty forty sixty about eighty
- 45:48Speaker 1: bucks to outfit everybody for the Christmas and we can
- 45:52Speaker 1: there are outfits we can use again, like, you have
- 45:58Speaker 1: your khakis now for.
- 45:59Speaker 2: The rest of my out that. I'm so glad I
- 46:02Speaker 2: finally have an outfit after all.
- 46:05Speaker 1: But you need khakis for our Thanksgiving dinner anyways, shouldn't
- 46:09Speaker 1: you wear khakis? And then a nicer event?
- 46:12Speaker 2: I SPI, So I guess we'll say what it looks
- 46:13Speaker 2: like in though.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Well, because normally I have them wear jeans and then
- 46:15Speaker 1: I don't have to buy jeans or anything like that.
- 46:17Speaker 1: But this was a fancier background she had, so I
- 46:20Speaker 1: felt like we needed to do khakis like business casual.
- 46:26Speaker 1: But you do have a black sweater, don't you.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Maybe somewhere we're in the closet.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Look, okay, we are in the closets people. I believe
- 46:36Speaker 1: it or not. We're still we recording the closet again.
- 46:39Speaker 1: We're back too. It's a bigger closet, but we're still
- 46:41Speaker 1: in the closet.
- 46:43Speaker 2: We got an air conditioner in.
- 46:44Speaker 1: We do have an air vent. Unlike all right, we
- 46:48Speaker 1: have to find if you have a black sweater. If not,
- 46:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to get you one because it was
- 46:51Speaker 1: important for you to have a black sweater because I
- 46:54Speaker 1: have a black dress. The kids have a like a
- 46:56Speaker 1: like a dark green kind of like plaid Christmas see color.
- 47:00Speaker 2: What this sounds like? Shoot the Pooh?
- 47:02Speaker 1: Okay, this sounds like shoot if this if you listen
- 47:04Speaker 1: to this bullshit, Shoot the Pooh is the place for you.
- 47:09Speaker 1: You need to pay for this, Okay, So this is
- 47:13Speaker 1: this is behind the scenes information and you must pay
- 47:17Speaker 1: for it. So go ahead and do what your y'all need.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Jesus you also guess what if you're on the Patreon,
- 47:23Speaker 1: you also get the picture?
- 47:24Speaker 2: So what picture?
- 47:26Speaker 1: I always post the family photo in the patreon.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Nobody want to see that.
- 47:30Speaker 1: People like it. I posted the kids in the Halloween.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Yes I'm not. Yeah, makes fun of me, because I
- 47:37Speaker 1: still makes fun of because I won't. I won't post
- 47:40Speaker 1: the kids' faces on the the internet, like like I'm
- 47:44Speaker 1: not going to post it on like the like anything
- 47:46Speaker 1: public page or whatever, but I will post it if
- 47:50Speaker 1: you if you subscribe to the Patreon, you can't see
- 47:52Speaker 1: our children's faces.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Yes, I'm a terrible mother. Yes you have all these
- 47:56Speaker 2: crime pro tips. And then you're like, we're not going
- 47:59Speaker 2: to have an episode, thanksgivin, because we're going to be
- 48:02Speaker 2: out of town for two weeks, starting at two pm
- 48:04Speaker 2: on the Friday before and not returning home.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Until Okay, anyways, go on, please don't so if you
- 48:12Speaker 1: join the Patreon, you do get you will get to
- 48:14Speaker 1: see the Christmas photo when it finally comes out in
- 48:17Speaker 1: probably four weeks. So I know she takes she said
- 48:22Speaker 1: it was she was taken longer because, like I said,
- 48:24Speaker 1: the lady she's very good. I don't know how she's
- 48:26Speaker 1: probably like having to deal with our bullshit family. That's
- 48:29Speaker 1: like no one's looking at the camera, no one's smiling,
- 48:34Speaker 1: Like I got to work some magic with these. Just
- 48:38Speaker 1: all right, go.
- 48:39Speaker 2: On, yeah, I've been on on what what huh?
- 48:48Speaker 1: Go on? What I said?
- 48:50Speaker 2: Go on?
- 48:52Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 48:53Speaker 2: I thought you said something else.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Okay, just do the freaking thing.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Man stole seven thousand dollars and scratch off lottery tickets,
- 49:02Speaker 2: then returned to the store to redeem them just hours later.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Florida or not Florida.
- 49:11Speaker 1: It's a Florida all over it? Why because I Argiza.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Gotta look up Florida. Man.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Oh now, this wasn't that story. There was another one
- 49:21Speaker 2: that I had heard. I forgot the headline, so I
- 49:23Speaker 2: don't know where it is coming to us. From The
- 49:25Speaker 2: New York Post from Zoe Hussain, published October ninth, twenty
- 49:29Speaker 2: twenty five. Dumb Luck, Florida man was hit with federal
- 49:32Speaker 2: charges this week after he allegedly stole seven thousand dollars
- 49:36Speaker 2: in scratch off lottery tickets from a convenience store, then
- 49:40Speaker 2: returned to the scene of the crime mere hours later
- 49:43Speaker 2: to try to redeem his loot. According to authorities, Justin Farley,
- 49:47Speaker 2: aged forty three, pulled into Saint Petersburg Circle K on
- 49:50Speaker 2: May fifth, opened multiple cabinets and took scratch off lottery
- 49:54Speaker 2: tickets before fleeing the scene in his gray Hyundai Elantra.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Roughly forty minutes later, Farley arrived at an area seven
- 50:05Speaker 2: to eleven to redeem the seven thousand dollars worth of
