- 3:18Speaker 5: Boys.
- 3:20Speaker 3: We got the squad back together for real all year long.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Got Clay Matthews, Yes, Sir, had the bargain with him.
- 3:29Speaker 3: He wanted a new house.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Yeah, private jets, Yeah, private jets.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Jesus.
- 3:35Speaker 7: Once Portnoy opened his mouth, you damn right, I came back.
- 3:39Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 3:40Speaker 7: Hey, but we had the recruit.
- 3:42Speaker 3: We had the We had to host him on in
- 3:43Speaker 3: home visits at my house, at Taylor's house. Yeah, the
- 3:46Speaker 3: red too, that said Matthews on this I was shown
- 3:52Speaker 3: him my special team game trophies, like, hey, this is
- 3:54Speaker 3: what we collect when you join the Boys.
- 3:57Speaker 5: We collect especially going to a winning program.
- 4:00Speaker 7: No, I appreciate it and all seriousness though, I am excited.
- 4:02Speaker 7: I'm fired up. You think of guys like Sam Darnold
- 4:05Speaker 7: to the Seahawks, Geno Smith to the Raiders, but Clay
- 4:09Speaker 7: Matthews to the Boys, biggest off season free agent. So
- 4:13Speaker 7: that being said, we gotta we got an open locker here.
- 4:16Speaker 7: So I brought a few, you know, a few items
- 4:18Speaker 7: of mine just to you know, just okay, hold on.
- 4:22Speaker 7: So so you know, I come to work. So I
- 4:25Speaker 7: got the helmet.
- 4:27Speaker 5: You know, that's that's when he was dumb.
- 4:32Speaker 7: He never never it will were cool. Hey, I got
- 4:35Speaker 7: the you know, the custom cleats. Yeah, got the name Tame.
- 4:43Speaker 7: That's cool stuff, cool stuff. But but it's not just
- 4:45Speaker 7: about me. It's about the boys too, and I and
- 4:47Speaker 7: IM thinking about you guys, and well, I know you're
- 4:51Speaker 7: you're a big fan of these guys. You know, you're
- 4:53Speaker 7: kind of a deviant to you talk about your escapades
- 4:55Speaker 7: when you're by yourself. So I brought you a little
- 4:58Speaker 7: alone material. It's the tooth thousand and nine Sports illustrated
- 5:03Speaker 7: with your boys, Cushing and maul Luga.
- 5:06Speaker 5: I know you're.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Right now sick the only like, I am very appreciative
- 5:13Speaker 3: of this. But knowing that your Clay Matthews and your
- 5:16Speaker 3: on this, I do feel like I should have all
- 5:18Speaker 3: three signatures. Yeah, that would truly make my young two
- 5:22Speaker 3: thousand and four self.
- 5:24Speaker 2: We can do that classic President. I know when he
- 5:28Speaker 2: hits the President, he's like, but I would also like this.
- 5:30Speaker 5: My birthday is September nineteenth, it's coming up.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Just so he just hand it back to him, be like, hey,
- 5:34Speaker 2: thank you very much.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Did you take this out? The trophy case is so cool.
- 5:38Speaker 7: You know my mom about like she went to Barnes
- 5:39Speaker 7: and Nobles about this. I was going through the through
- 5:42Speaker 7: the boxes, Delanna. I know it's tough working with Will
- 5:45Speaker 7: and Taylor every day. Sometimes you might need a drink,
- 5:47Speaker 7: So I got you a Clay Matthews like, hey, but
- 5:53Speaker 7: but always drink responsible. We understand that. Let's say you
- 5:56Speaker 7: skip breakfast, but you need a few beers on the job. Lucy's.
- 6:00Speaker 7: Lucy's are a thing in the past. Okay, but you
- 6:02Speaker 7: know what's in Hey, two thousand and ten weedies fuel
- 6:07Speaker 7: the sugar in hears greater than any nickotine pouch will
- 6:11Speaker 7: give you. All Right, So that's that's that's yours over there. Okay,
- 6:17Speaker 7: you're Hey, Taylor reached out to me this offseason. She said, Hey,
- 6:21Speaker 7: I'm really worried about Taylor. He's gone all the time.
- 6:23Speaker 7: He's playing grab ass with Dana. Hey, I know this
- 6:27Speaker 7: is what she said.
- 6:28Speaker 5: This is I didn't this is what she said.
- 6:31Speaker 7: You know, when the girls are upset, they're sad. Okay,
- 6:33Speaker 7: they cried themselves to sleep. So I got them a
- 6:35Speaker 7: plush doll that they can sleep so they don't have
- 6:39Speaker 7: to be scared anymore.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Oh God, bless that is you might.
- 6:46Speaker 7: Speaking of girls? Uh you know, girl down here? Will
- 6:50Speaker 7: you know? I know you're a busy man too, and
- 6:52Speaker 7: I just want your girls to grow up and just
- 6:54Speaker 7: look at what a real linebacker looks like. And that's
- 6:56Speaker 7: one hundred piece Clay Matthews puzzle. We're gonna have a
- 7:00Speaker 7: lot of questions for you, you know. So yeah, I
- 7:04Speaker 7: just I'm just bringing you to.
- 7:06Speaker 2: One hundred pieces.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Anymore than that I got.
- 7:09Speaker 7: Okay, So we're going back to the USC days right here,
- 7:12Speaker 7: number forty seven. You see that Rose bull patch, So
- 7:15Speaker 7: I just add a little bit of color. But this
- 7:17Speaker 7: was the two thousand and seven Rose Bowl game. Any
- 7:20Speaker 7: idea who played the Trojans in this game?
- 7:22Speaker 5: Illinois, the Michigan Wolverine.
- 7:26Speaker 7: Hey, the lost Cushing defensive MVP, Dwane Jared offensive MVP.
- 7:31Speaker 7: Both from Jersey. This will look great in the locker
- 7:34Speaker 7: right there. Sorry, it's just it's part of the show.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It's part of the show.
- 7:39Speaker 5: A sure or anybody with anybody want to build out
- 7:43Speaker 5: the locker? Hey, want to rip the cord? Yeah, you get, sir,
- 7:47Speaker 5: get your more. He's got more.
- 7:50Speaker 7: Last thing, I don't want to make this all about me.
- 7:51Speaker 5: I'm not the boys.
- 7:53Speaker 7: Okay, now this I needed a jersey. You know, we
- 7:55Speaker 7: got delaying these jerseys and and you boys. But so
- 7:58Speaker 7: this is twenty fifteen NFC Wild Card victory captain patch
- 8:03Speaker 7: right here, authentic. Any ideas who the Packers beat this.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Game, I'm gonna guess the San Francisco for.
- 8:10Speaker 7: The Redskins commander was no more. And so thank you
- 8:22Speaker 7: for bringing me in. These are all random. I didn't
- 8:25Speaker 7: think about these at all. I just kind of picked
- 8:26Speaker 7: stuff out and uh, you know.
- 8:29Speaker 5: No, that's an awesome jersey.
- 8:30Speaker 3: You had four tackles in that game as the middle lineback.
- 8:32Speaker 7: How many sacks? One and a half. That's like.
- 8:37Speaker 2: You had, buddy, You got me leaking early.
- 8:44Speaker 6: That was.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Who played that game. I'm gonna guess the Niners you
- 8:50Speaker 2: played in that game.
- 8:52Speaker 5: That was you.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, help me, what an introduction bringing it absolutely incredible.
- 8:58Speaker 5: That was incredible.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You've heard Alvier's man more pre Lay Matthews per Jeremy Clump. Boys,
- 9:03Speaker 1: we got a hell of a slate. AFC picks NFC
- 9:07Speaker 1: picks champions MVPs.
- 9:10Speaker 2: We're building the other parlays. It's going to be an
- 9:12Speaker 2: amazing year.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Not to bring it back to Clay, but Clay did
- 9:14Speaker 3: win a Super Bowl. And since in the theme of
- 9:16Speaker 3: we're picking a super Bowl champion, we'll probably be talking
- 9:18Speaker 3: about the Eagles a lot. What is the mentality of
- 9:21Speaker 3: winning the Super Bowl and having big expectations going into
- 9:24Speaker 3: the next year.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Well, I can speak from experience, as you know. Obviously
- 9:28Speaker 7: winning the Super Bowl in twenty ten, you know, we
- 9:31Speaker 7: were the sixth seed and we got hot. That's that's
- 9:34Speaker 7: how it is. It's the hottest team at the end
- 9:35Speaker 7: of the year. We weren't the best team, we were
- 9:37Speaker 7: the hottest team went on to win twenty eleven. Rolls around,
- 9:41Speaker 7: start off like Gangbusters, be the Saints. We go fifteen
- 9:44Speaker 7: to one all the way first round. By then we
- 9:47Speaker 7: play the Giants in the divisional round. They have like
- 9:50Speaker 7: the twenty seventh ranked defense. We fall flat on our face.
- 9:54Speaker 7: They they got out there a rod in our offense.
- 9:58Speaker 7: Who are those boys on the who are those pass
- 10:00Speaker 7: back in the day and your Justin and Tucker straight hand.
- 10:05Speaker 7: I don't think straight hand was after the Super Bowl?
- 10:09Speaker 5: Is that it was that is that?
- 10:10Speaker 3: When is that when the Giants were like the bottom seats.
- 10:13Speaker 7: I think they wanted that year that was when they
- 10:15Speaker 7: beat beats.
- 10:16Speaker 5: They beat the forty nine. Well, they beat the Patriots
- 10:19Speaker 5: and right the undefeated Patriots because we.
- 10:22Speaker 6: Played then of the year we played the next they
- 10:24Speaker 6: whooped us and then beat the Patriots.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Expect get the super Bowl.
- 10:28Speaker 5: We lost the Super Bowl. He's in the super Bowl
- 10:31Speaker 5: twenty and twelve and they ran him back.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Yeah, twenty twelve super Bowl Baltimore versus Francisco forty nine ers.
- 10:38Speaker 5: What year was that? Twenty twelve?
- 10:40Speaker 3: You also played the Packers that yere in the playoffs? Ye,
- 10:42Speaker 3: when they're a tackle that you broke, like a big
- 10:44Speaker 3: time tackles.
- 10:45Speaker 5: What I mean?
- 10:46Speaker 6: Yeah, Yeah, definitely broke one on you. Two thousand and
- 10:50Speaker 6: twenty twelve.
- 10:54Speaker 2: The NFL. We all got play, we all get gone.
- 10:57Speaker 7: I don't think it was that was beating us.
- 10:59Speaker 5: I think it was more it was No, definitely, I
- 11:02Speaker 5: had just a little role in that game. Cap did
- 11:05Speaker 5: that off the team?
- 11:06Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 11:06Speaker 2: It takes a team.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Though. You can't be can't be great by yourself.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Thoughts of players of Kaepernick. I know he's still so
- 11:13Speaker 1: we'll see how that works out.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Very selfless. Yeah, you know. I was just a team player,
- 11:18Speaker 5: special teams all around. The type of guy.
- 11:22Speaker 7: Delaney was wild as how you were like the blocking title.
- 11:27Speaker 7: Vernon was receiving receiving, and you always ran twelve personnel
- 11:33Speaker 7: and I was either matched up and I always knew
- 11:35Speaker 7: when I was going against Delaney like I had that
- 11:36Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying, strap up a little bit.
- 11:38Speaker 7: But uh, Vernon wasn't really interested. He was getting the receiving.
- 11:41Speaker 7: And then you go to Tennessee and.
- 11:42Speaker 6: They switched the role because we had Craig Stevenson. So
- 11:46Speaker 6: Craig was the blocker. When I got in, I knew
- 11:48Speaker 6: I couldn't out block him.
- 11:49Speaker 5: That dude was he was yeah ox.
- 11:53Speaker 6: So they was like, look, you're not he's going to
- 11:55Speaker 6: block you won't probably being in no run players. I'm like, okay,
- 11:58Speaker 6: I'm fine with that.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Quick story about Delaney man.
- 12:01Speaker 1: When I first got there, he would always be walking
- 12:03Speaker 1: around in the backfield, not doing reps, but just talking
- 12:05Speaker 1: and talking about how y'all y'all.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Asst blocking, I can block anybody.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm thinking, this motherfucker, he just catches it like He's
- 12:11Speaker 1: a great football player obviously, and I literally I think
- 12:14Speaker 1: like one day I went and watched him film, like
- 12:16Speaker 1: one of the coaches had like your special teams and
- 12:19Speaker 1: you're blocking.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I'm like, where the fuck is this? Like why is
- 12:22Speaker 2: it he blocking? You're also getting triple covers?
- 12:24Speaker 5: Yeah, but they wouldn't we have zero threats. I mean,
- 12:26Speaker 5: and he got paid.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he got paid like you don't.
- 12:29Speaker 6: But it was like we don't want him in the
- 12:31Speaker 6: game blocking because the first year I got there, almost
- 12:33Speaker 6: got hurt blocking. Somebody like ran up on me and
- 12:36Speaker 6: I twisted my ankle and they was like you the
- 12:39Speaker 6: best player we got. You were never going back in there?
- 12:43Speaker 2: Was Delaney is the only player we have here. You're
- 12:48Speaker 2: not blocking anymore.
- 12:50Speaker 7: I mean you know you know.
- 12:51Speaker 6: Eighty two in Bird Bird Yeah, and then you still
- 12:55Speaker 6: can't stop me. What are we gonna do this every time?
- 12:57Speaker 6: I'm just saying everybody understands, Like we played each other
- 13:01Speaker 6: one time and you had what fifteen yards total?
- 13:03Speaker 5: In that game? We beat you?
- 13:06Speaker 6: WILLI she covered you blanket coverage, okay, right, half Compton
- 13:11Speaker 6: and co locks down de Landy Walker and Cole there
- 13:15Speaker 6: you go and co Yeah, it took three.
- 13:17Speaker 1: That's a that's a headline from BoNT Missouri in high
- 13:21Speaker 1: school for boys. Let's get this, Let's get some future picks.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Should we start in the AFC East.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Yeah, Yeah, it's just started. We can start wherever we want.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yeah, we sat where we want. I like the Bills obviously.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I think I think the Bills here at some point
- 13:38Speaker 1: in Josh Allen's career, he has to get over the
- 13:40Speaker 1: hump of Patrick Mahomes and these other quarterbacks and make
- 13:43Speaker 1: it to the next step. We will talk about the
- 13:44Speaker 1: Super Bowl in a little bit. Going to Rochester, watching
- 13:48Speaker 1: the Bills, seeing how they operated, watching Josh Allen from
- 13:52Speaker 1: every single arm angle, like, I think he missed two
- 13:54Speaker 1: throws the entire day, and one of them was a drop.
- 13:56Speaker 1: He's got the moxi, he's got the bravado, he's got
- 13:58Speaker 1: the attitude. You get some additions like Joey Bosa back on,
- 14:02Speaker 1: you kind of switch him and Von Miller out, Tredevius
- 14:04Speaker 1: White comes in there. Only concern I have for the
- 14:07Speaker 1: Bills is Elijah Moore. You get him for uh former
- 14:11Speaker 1: second round pick.
- 14:12Speaker 2: He goes.
- 14:13Speaker 1: They're talking about how excited they are about Elijah Moore.
- 14:15Speaker 1: This guy is going to be the weapon, the speed
- 14:17Speaker 1: that they need at the Bills. Now, there's a couple
- 14:19Speaker 1: of articles that came out I believe it was yesterday
- 14:21Speaker 1: that Elijah Moore is having a tough, tough camp. He
- 14:24Speaker 1: might be want to cut candidate and might not even
- 14:25Speaker 1: make the fit three man roster. Insert the possibility of
- 14:29Speaker 1: Gabe Davis. His best years were at the Bills. I
- 14:31Speaker 1: got opportunity to talk to him. We're at UFC play
- 14:34Speaker 1: hanging out with Dana White and he he popped by.
- 14:37Speaker 1: He's like, I think I'm going with the Bills. I
- 14:38Speaker 1: think that's what that's gonna happen for me if he's
- 14:40Speaker 1: able to go there. I think Josh Allen has all
- 14:42Speaker 1: the tools.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And they repeat again. In the AFC East, I.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Feel like the only question mark is the wide receiver room. Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 5: it's a you got Coleman, Josh Palmer, Josh Josh Palmer.
- 14:52Speaker 3: And who Yes, Sure, I think that's really the only
- 14:56Speaker 3: question mark because I got the Bills taking the East two.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I do think the Patriots have a little dark horse shot.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I think they make it interesting, obviously very able, it's
- 15:05Speaker 3: the new regime everything else. But I think Drake may
- 15:08Speaker 3: in his second year. I think they got a lot
- 15:10Speaker 3: of weapons.
- 15:10Speaker 6: I think they're healthy right now, we were talking, we
- 15:12Speaker 6: were out there at Patriot training camp.
- 15:14Speaker 3: They feel good about everything. But you know, like Rabel,
- 15:17Speaker 3: they're gonna have some good culture wins in the first year.
- 15:20Speaker 3: They could be a dark horse shot because they don't
- 15:22Speaker 3: have too tough of a schedule and looking at all
- 15:24Speaker 3: those two teams very easy. But that would be my
- 15:26Speaker 3: only thing against the Bills is what is their receiver
- 15:31Speaker 3: room gonna How is the receiver room gonna produce with Josh?
- 15:35Speaker 5: I mean, Josh Allen's a superhero.
- 15:36Speaker 1: But another quest if we're staying on the category of
- 15:39Speaker 1: like what had the Bills up against him, it's their
- 15:41Speaker 1: passing defense last year wasn't. But they're very unhealthy, very injured.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's kind of been that way the last couple. He's
- 15:48Speaker 1: coming back from a leg injury. You bring Joey Boston,
- 15:51Speaker 1: he's coming from the Chargers. It's like you're hoping that
- 15:55Speaker 1: they that the defense understands what's at stake. When you
- 15:59Speaker 1: have a guy like Josh Sean with the opportunity to
- 16:00Speaker 1: win a Super Bowl every single year, it's the Bills
- 16:03Speaker 1: play the Chiefs in the regular season, whoever wins that
- 16:06Speaker 1: game losing the playoffs, and Josh Allen has always kind
- 16:09Speaker 1: of won that regulationason game and lost in that playoff game. Yeah,
- 16:12Speaker 1: so it's time for them to make that step. I
- 16:14Speaker 1: do like the Patriots maybe taking second, and they're making
- 16:18Speaker 1: it a little bit interesting with the Bills. I think
- 16:20Speaker 1: when it comes to just the talent of both teams,
- 16:22Speaker 1: the Bills have that more cover than the Patriots from
- 16:25Speaker 1: a game playing standpoint, from a keys to victory. We've
- 16:28Speaker 1: been in that locker room. We understand that raves Helas
- 16:30Speaker 1: got dialed in every single time. I just don't think
- 16:32Speaker 1: they're there from a personnel standpoint just yet.
- 16:35Speaker 6: Well, that's why I'm going with the Patriots. And it's
- 16:37Speaker 6: funny you say the person going to Patriots to win
- 16:39Speaker 6: the division division, I am taking the Patriots to win
- 16:41Speaker 6: the division. Like you said, a dark horse. I feel
- 16:44Speaker 6: like those guys are going to step up, especially with
- 16:46Speaker 6: Mike Brabel. Again, we all know Mike Brabel. We know
- 16:49Speaker 6: how fast he can turn the program around, just with
- 16:52Speaker 6: his mindset, of the defensive mindset, the culture he brings,
- 16:55Speaker 6: the leadership that he brings.
- 16:56Speaker 5: He played the game he understands.
- 16:58Speaker 6: He now to take care of the players, that their
- 17:00Speaker 6: players give them time off, wrest them so they ready
- 17:02Speaker 6: to go in the game. But I'm gonna talk about
- 17:05Speaker 6: them and not having the pieces. Well, they have a
- 17:07Speaker 6: lot of cap flexibility. That's the that's the big thing
- 17:10Speaker 6: right now. You know how Rabel likes to go and
- 17:12Speaker 6: find players that he can use during the season, and
- 17:15Speaker 6: if they have cap room, we can bring in anybody.
- 17:17Speaker 6: The sky is the limit. But they're helping them all,
- 17:20Speaker 6: helping them out. Drake mayout by bringing in an all
- 17:22Speaker 6: Pro receiver in Stefan Diggs. That's gonna help him out
- 17:25Speaker 6: being in safety blanket, throwing him the ball, getting him going.
- 17:28Speaker 6: They also have a young running back that's gonna be
- 17:30Speaker 6: Chris what's his name Henderson.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Some of the clips you've seen coming out of camp.
- 17:37Speaker 5: It's crazy zone.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Even in team reps, like you can see just in
- 17:44Speaker 3: the red zone periods are gonna put too much out there.
- 17:46Speaker 6: But he's going to be a weapon out of here
- 17:49Speaker 6: is going to be a where you know, Verbel likes
- 17:50Speaker 6: to run the ball. We all know that get the
- 17:52Speaker 6: get us going by running the ball, and then we'll
- 17:54Speaker 6: do some play action get some guys down the field.
- 17:57Speaker 6: But again, they do have an easy schedule. I feel
- 18:00Speaker 6: like the Patriots can sneak in there and take the division.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Listen, you talk about the salary cap, but it's like
- 18:05Speaker 1: that salard CAP's already kind of done for this year.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Stefan Daggs is an All Pro player. He's a guy
- 18:09Speaker 1: that we all look at. He's got the name recognition,
- 18:11Speaker 1: but he's coming off of an acl and he's had
- 18:14Speaker 1: a couple of tough years since he's left the Bills
- 18:16Speaker 1: a couple of years ago. Then you got the fourth
- 18:19Speaker 1: overall pick, Campbell, who's playing left tackle for them. He's
- 18:21Speaker 1: got the people hate on the shorter arms and all that.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I think everyone's happy with what he is. He's a gritty,
- 18:27Speaker 1: tough news guy that's gonna ballot out weekend and week out.
- 18:30Speaker 1: You're not gonna have to worry from an injury standpoint
- 18:31Speaker 1: from him in toughness. But it's like there's always gonna
- 18:34Speaker 1: be the learning curve you're gonna come across these aliens
- 18:36Speaker 1: week in and week out, and being a rookie starter
- 18:38Speaker 1: left tackle, there's gonna be some growing pains that they're
- 18:41Speaker 1: gonna have to Dean plan for to make sure that
- 18:43Speaker 1: he's taken care of when you get into those late October, November,
- 18:46Speaker 1: December games. So there's a lot of things working against them.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They're coaching staffs outstanding, they have players. I just think
- 18:52Speaker 1: the Bills have a little more grasp on the East,
- 18:55Speaker 1: especially for this year.
- 18:57Speaker 5: You got Clay Maman.
- 18:58Speaker 7: I'm just deferring to you guys having gone to camp,
- 19:01Speaker 7: haven't been with Rabe. I understand the pages, but I
- 19:03Speaker 7: think what you're saying, Taylor is I think they're just,
- 19:05Speaker 7: you know, the cream of the crop right now. Like
- 19:07Speaker 7: last five, you know, AFC East Bills ran it. I
- 19:11Speaker 7: think they're gonna do it again. I think with Josh
- 19:12Speaker 7: Allen at the Helm, you know, like you had said,
- 19:14Speaker 7: Bosa coming in and switching in with Vaughn like, I
- 19:16Speaker 7: just think they're too good. I don't think anybody else
- 19:18Speaker 7: in that division presents a problem. Patriots on their way up, obviously,
- 19:22Speaker 7: but I just think this year twenty twenty five, until
- 19:25Speaker 7: Josh Allen, yeah, until until you tell me otherwise. Yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 7: it's the Bills, and none of.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Us are even mentioned. The Dolphins either, I think they're
- 19:32Speaker 3: the most pointing throughout the offseason. Yeah, when McDaniels comes in,
- 19:35Speaker 3: I want to say, the excitement was there because he's
- 19:38Speaker 3: coming from this regime of that young tree out there,
- 19:42Speaker 3: of Shanahan, McVey, Lafleur, like they've all worked together. He's
- 19:46Speaker 3: bringing this over to Miami that first year they had
- 19:48Speaker 3: a lot of the creativity is on offense. He is
- 19:50Speaker 3: super creative. He's going to continue to be creative. He's
- 19:52Speaker 3: got a lot of weapons, he's got a lot of aliens.
- 19:55Speaker 3: But you just see on the outside looking in all
- 19:57Speaker 3: the internal stuff that's kind of went on to separate
- 20:00Speaker 3: with uh, the stuff in the.
- 20:01Speaker 5: Media with Tua and Tyreek Hill.
- 20:04Speaker 3: They're publicly talking about players being vocal about practice.
- 20:09Speaker 5: To the reporters to where now the reporters are.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Asking McDaniels And it's not like he's got a stature
- 20:15Speaker 3: and laying the log down on what practice is going
- 20:17Speaker 3: to be, like, hey, this is our culture everything else.
- 20:19Speaker 3: He kind of just kind of rolls with the punches.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I just I don't know if a respect meter has
- 20:24Speaker 3: gone down there. Again, I'm not in the weeds that much.
- 20:27Speaker 3: I just see what comes across my timeline, and I
- 20:29Speaker 3: feel like that's been what's been disappointing with the Miami
- 20:33Speaker 3: Dolphins because it felt like, especially a couple of years ago,
- 20:35Speaker 3: they were a team that could compete or be on
- 20:37Speaker 3: the rise with the creativity McDaniels coming in. But it
- 20:39Speaker 3: feels like I think the Dolphins are going to be
- 20:41Speaker 3: lasting division. I think Aaron Glenn's gonna bring some culture
- 20:44Speaker 3: wins and establish something with the Jets. I don't think
- 20:46Speaker 3: the Jets are going to be, you know, the number
- 20:48Speaker 3: two team in the AFC, in the AFC East, But
- 20:50Speaker 3: I think Aaron Glenn and the staff he brought over
- 20:52Speaker 3: with him from Detroit, I think they're gonna be a
- 20:54Speaker 3: little surprises of this year because they have they.
- 20:56Speaker 5: Have a great deal.
- 20:57Speaker 3: They have players on defense, they got some weapons on offense.
- 21:01Speaker 3: But that's kind of how I see the the AFC.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I was, I was hanging there with you until you
- 21:06Speaker 1: said the Jets being above the Dolphins. I think McDaniels
- 21:09Speaker 1: is just he's too creative on the offense side of
- 21:11Speaker 1: the ball. You still have too, you still have Tyreek Hill.
- 21:13Speaker 1: You're missing your entire secondary from the year prior getting
- 21:15Speaker 1: Jaalen Ramsey, guys getting injured. Jayalen Ramsey goes to the Steelers.
- 21:19Speaker 1: But like the Jets are a franchise and they have
- 21:22Speaker 1: a they have an amazing fan base. However, I'm officially
- 21:25Speaker 1: gonna show me, don't tell me, because every single time
- 21:28Speaker 1: they have a new coaching staff come in with this
- 21:30Speaker 1: regime from this this team that won a bunch, they
- 21:33Speaker 1: had a great culture, they're going to steal the culture.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Just it just never shows up. And so like I
- 21:37Speaker 2: need to see something before I.
- 21:38Speaker 5: See Yeah, But the only thing with Miami scares me
- 21:41Speaker 5: is Tula. Man.
- 21:42Speaker 6: If Tula is not healthy, if he gets hurt, take
- 21:44Speaker 6: another concussion. We saw what we saw what the Dolphins
- 21:48Speaker 6: can do without him. They can't win a game. So
- 21:51Speaker 6: without him they're in trouble. So if this man take
- 21:54Speaker 6: a hit on his noggin again, here.
- 21:57Speaker 5: Where are they?
- 21:58Speaker 3: But also it's like talking about how important culture is,
- 22:01Speaker 3: like if you're going to be a team known that
- 22:03Speaker 3: a team that's known for creativity and strategy, I'm not
- 22:06Speaker 3: gonna say like being cute, but McDaniel's like, if a
- 22:10Speaker 3: strategy or something doesn't work one week, and this is
- 22:12Speaker 3: the feeling you get of the players and how they
- 22:15Speaker 3: the respect meter with the head coach or what goes
- 22:17Speaker 3: on in the media when everything kind of goes to
- 22:19Speaker 3: shit or doesn't go well one week, that affects the
- 22:22Speaker 3: rest of the season. Whereas you're gonna have you were
- 22:25Speaker 3: talking to it earlier, like Rabel turned around an organization
- 22:28Speaker 3: and his leadership and everything else, and like diving into that.
- 22:31Speaker 3: There's a team meeting that happens every morning to where
- 22:33Speaker 3: Rabel paints you keys of success in offense, defense and
- 22:37Speaker 3: special teams, and paint you a picture of how you're
- 22:39Speaker 3: gonna win the football game. Paint you a picture through
- 22:42Speaker 3: practice reps. Paint you a picture through your opponent and
- 22:44Speaker 3: who they've played against. This is why this is a
- 22:47Speaker 3: team key. This is why you have to affect the pocket.
- 22:49Speaker 3: This is why you got to get Lamar Jackson thrown
- 22:51Speaker 3: outside the pocket, get him thrown sideways outside the numbers.
- 22:53Speaker 3: We can't have these hashes open in the middle.
- 22:55Speaker 7: Right.
- 22:55Speaker 5: He paints you such a vision.
- 22:57Speaker 3: And again, I only know how players are spoken about
- 23:01Speaker 3: Aaron Glynn and how he was a Detroit or how
- 23:03Speaker 3: they spoke about him at Detroit. I feel like culture
- 23:07Speaker 3: being established is a massive thing, and I feel like
- 23:09Speaker 3: where Miami's at, it's just gonna take one bad week
- 23:12Speaker 3: for it to kind of just go kind of go south.
- 23:14Speaker 1: You got to you talk about being cute and all that,
- 23:16Speaker 1: like Kinsey Chiefs are like they are. They can be
- 23:20Speaker 1: cute when a short short yardage of situations where you
- 23:22Speaker 1: think obviously you're going to run, they'll get cute. Slash
- 23:25Speaker 1: a guy he goes out the backfield, you just think
- 23:27Speaker 1: it over to him real quick, and they get the
- 23:28Speaker 1: first down. They've created evidence that when they get into situations,
- 23:32Speaker 1: they're able to come through. McDaniels has not created the
- 23:35Speaker 1: evidence of being cute pays off consistently. I think Andy
- 23:38Speaker 1: Reid after the difference to any read and McDaniel's aside
- 23:41Speaker 1: from Super Bowls winning all that stuff.
- 23:43Speaker 2: But yeah, the cuteness.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Works, but you have to create consistent evidence for players
- 23:48Speaker 1: to fully buy in all the time on it.
- 23:50Speaker 2: So I agree with you on that point. Well up
- 23:52Speaker 2: this episode real quick.
- 23:53Speaker 5: But you form energy.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Foreign Energy delivers a best in class taste with natural
- 23:56Speaker 1: flavors and zero sugar.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Form.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Managery has natural caffeinated derived from green tea. Form comes
- 24:02Speaker 1: in a variety of flavors. Talking about screaming freedom that's
- 24:05Speaker 1: rocket pop inspired. Yeah, grape Smash Blue Blitz, Orange Fury.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Perfect for those who love to put in the work
- 24:10Speaker 1: form energy. We do the work when your boys are
- 24:11Speaker 1: here studying for these things. What do we do crack
- 24:14Speaker 1: the top of a form energy slid that they down
- 24:17Speaker 1: were wired. We're moving x'es and o's, i's and w's.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Really computers out there. We do the work form energy.
- 24:22Speaker 7: Back to this episode, is that your segue to the
- 24:24Speaker 7: AFC West though with the Chiefs or you want to, yeah.
- 24:28Speaker 1: See West, Like when we're sitting in the AFC West,
- 24:30Speaker 1: it's like one of my favorite divisions to kind of
- 24:33Speaker 1: look at Broncos.
- 24:35Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Chargers, I'm going Broncos.
- 24:37Speaker 7: I got the Chiefs. I think the Chiefs much like
- 24:40Speaker 7: the Bill. Okay, here's what I here's what I got though.
- 24:42Speaker 7: I got the Broncos and Chargers making the playoffs too.
- 24:44Speaker 7: I got three teams out of the AFC West making
- 24:47Speaker 7: the playoffs.
- 24:48Speaker 5: You don't think you don't think you think the Raiders
- 24:50Speaker 5: get left behind?
- 24:51Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, let's go. I don't want I don't want to.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I don't want your boys out there now.
- 24:57Speaker 7: Yeah. No, Pete's out there and he's gonna.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Chif Kelly OC you're Gino Smith, middle fingers coming out
- 25:02Speaker 3: of the coming out.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Of the greater Nation is back. But it's the first year. Okay,
- 25:08Speaker 7: it's the first year. But here's here's what I'm saying.
- 25:09Speaker 7: Like the Chiefs are the Chiefs, Like there's no reason
- 25:12Speaker 7: to bet against them at this point. Like who if
- 25:14Speaker 7: they lost? Who are they? I know they're getting long
- 25:15Speaker 7: in the tooth with Kelsey, but like as as.
- 25:18Speaker 5: The received, the receiving car is a suspect, but.
- 25:21Speaker 7: Who is Buddy? Who got hurt?
- 25:22Speaker 5: Is coming to means? And they are?
- 25:24Speaker 6: So you got Rice gonna be suspended for four games,
- 25:27Speaker 6: Hollywood Brown, he stays injured. But checko, but checko, that's
- 25:31Speaker 6: the run game. Yes, Jamie Worthy is the only right now,
- 25:36Speaker 6: the only threat they have right now.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Let's be honest for the Chiefs. Yeah, but yeah, seven
- 25:47Speaker 5: eight hundred l always going to be true. The Kelsey
- 25:50Speaker 5: gonna always be the truth. We know that.
- 25:52Speaker 6: Yeah, Yeah, is a beast. Beast can play the slot,
- 25:56Speaker 6: play outside. Don't look like a tight end when he's
- 25:59Speaker 6: out there running routes. You want that, but again, you
- 26:02Speaker 6: still need receivers. I get it, they got exavier. He
- 26:05Speaker 6: can take the top off, but you're gonna need those
- 26:07Speaker 6: guys when they double team in either Kelsey or Xavier,
- 26:10Speaker 6: You're gonna need those guys to get open.
- 26:12Speaker 7: I just don't see the Broncos or the Chargers. I
- 26:15Speaker 7: see them both being like a nine to ten win team.
- 26:18Speaker 7: And I see the Chiefs, you know, back up there
- 26:20Speaker 7: eleven or twelve. I think it'll be close, you know,
- 26:22Speaker 7: I think obviously with Harball, you know down there in LA,
- 26:25Speaker 7: and then you know the Broncos and Buddy from Oregon
- 26:29Speaker 7: what's his name? Yeah, both nick's playing well, I think,
- 26:34Speaker 7: But I still think they're chasing the Chiefs. I think
- 26:36Speaker 7: they close the gap that much more. But the Chiefs
- 26:39Speaker 7: are the Chiefs.
- 26:40Speaker 2: You can't disagree with the Chiefs division.
- 26:43Speaker 5: You got fifteen.
- 26:44Speaker 1: It's more fun to look at the AFC West and
- 26:46Speaker 1: be like, we got Harball, Pete Carroll.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Andy Reiders, Sean Payne, all on the same division.
- 26:52Speaker 1: All of them have quarterbacks like people want to hate
- 26:54Speaker 1: on Jena Smith. Jenna Smith as a dog. Mitch the
- 26:57Speaker 1: other day put a little statup. I don't know if
- 26:58Speaker 1: you've a microphone, I don't know it right now, but
- 27:00Speaker 1: if you got something, do you have?
- 27:01Speaker 5: What's that stat it was like.
- 27:03Speaker 8: The last two or three years he's led the league
- 27:05Speaker 8: and completion percentage, and then like two years ago he
- 27:07Speaker 8: led the league in passing yards.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Attested that where is p Caroll love? He loves a
- 27:15Speaker 1: strong run game. He got action gent in the run game.
- 27:17Speaker 1: You go to the two offensive line, you look at
- 27:19Speaker 1: Harball and you're like he's doing Rich Eisen Show, sitting
- 27:22Speaker 1: there being like I've had having dreams, affirmations, I've done
- 27:25Speaker 1: ayahuasca in the desert, saying I've got to get Justin
- 27:28Speaker 1: Herbert to the Hall of Fame.
- 27:29Speaker 2: How do you do that?
- 27:30Speaker 1: By winning Super Bowls? Unique culture guy, and people are
- 27:33Speaker 1: buying in a year two. You look at the just
- 27:35Speaker 1: the culture for Jesse Minter from a defensive coordinator standpoint,
- 27:38Speaker 1: he took them from a below average defense to a
- 27:41Speaker 1: top ten defense in the NFL last year. That's gonna
- 27:44Speaker 1: be big time. Bo Nicks ultimate pro sean payin peanut
- 27:48Speaker 1: butter and jelly. They're feeling each other. My high stadium,
- 27:50Speaker 1: very difficult place to play. And also like the Chiefs
- 27:53Speaker 1: didn't have any big acquisitions during the during the free
- 27:56Speaker 1: agency process, like the Chargers went and got uh Mike
- 28:00Speaker 1: ah Becton, who no one's really talking about, won a
- 28:02Speaker 1: Super Bowl last year with the Eagles. Like was playing tackle,
- 28:05Speaker 1: realized he's not as light footed as he should be,
- 28:08Speaker 1: goes in and goes into guard and it starts playing
- 28:11Speaker 1: what's that? Who's a who's the all line coach?
- 28:13Speaker 2: Stalwart?
- 28:15Speaker 5: Is he getting moved back to tackling?
- 28:16Speaker 7: No?
- 28:17Speaker 2: No, no, you got too great that you got Rashaun Slater,
- 28:20Speaker 2: the kid from broke his leg.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Yeah, he broke his leg.
- 28:24Speaker 2: So I think you keep becking and you got to
- 28:26Speaker 2: keep him in that phone booth listen, keep him in
- 28:30Speaker 2: the phone booth area.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Also shout out with Shaun Slater getting broke off one
- 28:33Speaker 1: hundred plus didn't get hurt.
- 28:34Speaker 2: It's a fun division to look at. It happens, it's
- 28:37Speaker 2: a fun division to look at.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I like the Chargers, but I also like the Chiefs,
- 28:41Speaker 1: but I also like the Raiders. Like it's like, it's fun,
- 28:44Speaker 1: it's fun.
- 28:45Speaker 7: You talked about like no free agent acquisitions though that
- 28:48Speaker 7: that that was the same approach we took in Green Bay.
- 28:50Speaker 7: Though we always draft and developed, Like why you don't
- 28:53Speaker 7: need to change something that's not broken. Right now, three
- 28:55Speaker 7: super bowls in a row, yeah, you come up short
- 28:57Speaker 7: to an amazing Philly team. I mean yeah, Like the
- 29:00Speaker 7: sexy thing to do was go in and bring these
- 29:02Speaker 7: free agents. But they've got the squad, they've got the team,
- 29:04Speaker 7: they've got the coach, Like how.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Many one score games did they win last year?
- 29:07Speaker 1: Through that show, there's like a little Tikey teking things
- 29:16Speaker 1: like you can't rely on that. I'm dude, I'm with you, Like,
- 29:20Speaker 1: am I going to be surprised?
- 29:21Speaker 7: Win?
- 29:21Speaker 2: And if the Chiefs win the division?
- 29:23Speaker 5: Again?
- 29:23Speaker 1: No, but it's like, how exciting is the a f
- 29:26Speaker 1: C West? And you lost Joe Tony by the way,
- 29:31Speaker 1: Michael Nicole Hardman there for a.
- 29:37Speaker 2: So it's fun. It's fun, dude, an FC North, that's
- 29:42Speaker 2: a fun one.
- 29:47Speaker 7: I got the Ravens. I got the Ravens. I think,
- 29:50Speaker 7: as hey, you just gotta go with the A f C.
- 29:55Speaker 7: Is not difficult if you miss on the A Chiefs. Ravens,
- 30:00Speaker 7: Bill's Ravens. Every every it's about winning. I'm about stacking doves,
- 30:07Speaker 7: all right.
- 30:07Speaker 3: You got.
- 30:10Speaker 7: The NFC. Haven't played the NFC my entire career. I
- 30:12Speaker 7: feel good about that. You all a f C boys
- 30:14Speaker 7: talking about Rabel and the notes he puts on the
- 30:17Speaker 7: on the whiteboard, and I don't care. I want to
- 30:19Speaker 7: know who's gonna win, all right, and that the Ravens.
- 30:25Speaker 2: We got another delading on the squad to take these
- 30:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna take a money line.
- 30:33Speaker 7: I got the Bengals making the playoff as well as
- 30:35Speaker 7: a wild card. I think they get off to a
- 30:37Speaker 7: slow start as well. They don't have an offensive line
- 30:39Speaker 7: to block for Joe Burrow defense. I think you think
- 30:42Speaker 7: of the chemistry of the Bengals, you see what's going
- 30:44Speaker 7: on with Trey Hendrickson. They don't want to invest in
- 30:47Speaker 7: their guys. It's been like that since Carson, even before him.
- 30:51Speaker 7: It's just I don't think it's a locker room. That is,
- 30:55Speaker 7: there's not a lot of centergy or cohesiveness. And then,
- 30:57Speaker 7: like I said, I'm not in there. I'm just I'm
- 30:59Speaker 7: justerva And I think you know, with Burrow back there,
- 31:03Speaker 7: he's capable of throwing you know, five thousand yards. But
- 31:06Speaker 7: at the end of the day, I don't think their
- 31:08Speaker 7: defense holds up. I think they lose some of these games.
- 31:10Speaker 7: And I think the Ravens with Lamar Jackson are just
- 31:12Speaker 7: you know, that team in AFC.
- 31:14Speaker 9: I think they Win, James Bateman, the line, day line,
- 31:22Speaker 9: Ronnie Stanley, like they I mean, they had a tough
- 31:24Speaker 9: time jaelling earlier in the years, and they really figured
- 31:27Speaker 9: themselves out.
- 31:28Speaker 5: They got there is a reason why. That's a squad, right, Alexander. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:38Speaker 5: they got Alexander the squad. They got a squad.
- 31:42Speaker 1: I want to sit there and raise a fly for
- 31:45Speaker 1: the Bengals so much. Like I love Joe Burrow quarterback,
- 31:48Speaker 1: like he deserves twenty two guys on all three sides
- 31:52Speaker 1: of the ball, like playing as well and as hard
- 31:55Speaker 1: as he is, But the defense for me is I
- 31:57Speaker 1: have to stay away. Trey Hendrickson, he's trying to figure
- 31:59Speaker 1: it out. He's magistcruntled their first round draft pick almost
- 32:02Speaker 1: went back to A and M. They have a whole
- 32:04Speaker 1: back and forth. It's like they didn't necessarily get better
- 32:08Speaker 1: on the defense.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Of the ball.
- 32:09Speaker 1: And then yeah, like Joe Burrow was essentially cam Ward
- 32:13Speaker 1: in Miami last Year's like he's got to drop forty
- 32:15Speaker 1: just to win a game. So it's like, yeah, it's
- 32:19Speaker 1: fun to watch, and I mean is unbelievable, Like they
- 32:23Speaker 1: have a great offense. They paid everybody to but dude,
- 32:27Speaker 1: I feel like the Steelers. I feel like Steelers in
- 32:32Speaker 1: the best possible position you can be in. Man, Like
- 32:35Speaker 1: when Aaron Rodgers went to the Jets, It's like the
- 32:37Speaker 1: Jets are back, They're going to do X, Y and Z.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Obviously what happened happened at the Jets. Now no one's
- 32:43Speaker 1: talking about Aaron Rodgers like that new car smell has
- 32:46Speaker 1: kind of worn off.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Has he lost it? Is he? Is he done?
- 32:49Speaker 1: Is he just doing getting a paycheck? Can you not
- 32:50Speaker 1: walk away from the game? I feel like that's exactly
- 32:53Speaker 1: where Aaron Rodgers wants to be. The OC Arthur Smith,
- 32:56Speaker 1: he does a good job of handling unique relationships. Who
- 32:59Speaker 1: does the best job? The head coach, Mike Tomlin does
- 33:02Speaker 1: an amazing job. I love the addition of DK Metcalf.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I love John Smith, who I think is a wildly
- 33:08Speaker 1: underrated tight end with the Miami Smith. Yeah, so right
- 33:13Speaker 1: now the Steelers are sitting in a spot where it's
- 33:16Speaker 1: like no one's talking about them, and that's exactly where
- 33:19Speaker 1: they need to be, not to I.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Mean, they pay t J.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Watt, you know, the entire bank. He's the highest non
- 33:24Speaker 1: paid quarterback of all time. Leaders leadership with Hayward high Smith.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Smith is a guy that I swear to God is
- 33:32Speaker 1: not talked about enough. He had a growing last year
- 33:34Speaker 1: in an ankle. Last year he missed like six or
- 33:36Speaker 1: seven games, still recorded six sacks. Like, that's a guy
- 33:40Speaker 1: when he's fully healthy. You got to watch out for
- 33:43Speaker 1: him too. But that allows tjd More, allows Cam to
- 33:45Speaker 1: be more. Like I think the Steelers are going to
- 33:48Speaker 1: surprise a lot of people.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I'm taking them.
- 33:50Speaker 7: You talked about him coming up from Miami, like you
- 33:52Speaker 7: had him at cornerback. And however, they want to get
- 33:54Speaker 7: creative with drop.
- 33:56Speaker 1: On the depth chart for which which means like, I
- 33:59Speaker 1: just feel like he's still got gonna be covering attitude.
- 34:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll tell you what.
- 34:04Speaker 1: We gotta get Corners away from the loose sleeve jerseys.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Though I don't I don't subscribe to that.
- 34:11Speaker 5: I like when they have new jerseys.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know why that became cool.
- 34:15Speaker 5: I don't know why did you do it?
- 34:18Speaker 2: I got, I got the Steelers.
- 34:19Speaker 5: The only thing scared me with that is Arthur Smith
- 34:22Speaker 5: and Aaron Rodgers. I just I I know Art, we
- 34:27Speaker 5: have I know Art.
- 34:28Speaker 6: If they when they started going wrong, they're gonna be
- 34:32Speaker 6: button heads and I told y'all, but I told you
- 34:35Speaker 6: about when it doesn't go it's gonna go wrong. It
- 34:39Speaker 6: doesn't go wrong, it's gonna go wrong with Aaron Rodgers,
- 34:41Speaker 6: straight up.
- 34:42Speaker 5: Do you think so? No?
- 34:45Speaker 7: I think I think it's keeping the buck, you know,
- 34:47Speaker 7: you know, I know. I mean, listen, I'm like, what
- 34:52Speaker 7: year twenty year twenty one for him right now? Like
- 34:55Speaker 7: great coaches, they understand their players what they're capable of doing.
- 35:01Speaker 7: Aaron can do everything. And if that means you know,
- 35:03Speaker 7: he's got his checks out there, like I can't speak
- 35:05Speaker 7: to you know when he's behind center and he's doing
- 35:08Speaker 7: what he does out there. But like, his football intelligence
- 35:11Speaker 7: is greater than probably any coach out there because he
- 35:14Speaker 7: has seen it, he's been through it, he sat behind far,
- 35:17Speaker 7: he's now moved around a few franchises. Like I think
- 35:19Speaker 7: he's just that guy and he wants everybody on deck,
- 35:24Speaker 7: everybody on the same page. Hopefully that's the case with
- 35:26Speaker 7: his receivers. I know from watching the Jets last year,
- 35:28Speaker 7: it was just it was dysfunctional. Just not from an
- 35:31Speaker 7: organizational standpoint, perhaps it was, but it was just watching
- 35:33Speaker 7: it on game day, not you know, understanding what they're
- 35:37Speaker 7: running the passes.
- 35:37Speaker 5: So there were moments though last year, like it's not
- 35:39Speaker 5: like he.
- 35:40Speaker 7: No, absolutely, if you look at his stats, you think
- 35:43Speaker 7: you think he was terrible. You look at his stats,
- 35:44Speaker 7: I don't know what they are off the top of
- 35:46Speaker 7: my head, but you know they're like upper three thousand,
- 35:49Speaker 7: upper three thousands.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 7: And but I think, like, like you had mentioned Mike
- 35:53Speaker 7: Tomlin as the head coach, you know that defense, phenomenal
- 35:58Speaker 7: offensive acquisitions. I think they're prime to be, you know,
- 36:01Speaker 7: a dark horseness.
- 36:02Speaker 5: I got Aaron Rodgers four thousand. That's crazy. I like that.
- 36:06Speaker 6: And I like that because you know Arthur Smith don't
- 36:09Speaker 6: go deep a lot. He likes to run these.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Arthur he eventually Arthur's adopt die.
- 36:16Speaker 5: I got Aaron Rodgers, who's been his quarterbacks yards?
- 36:20Speaker 6: Who in his quarterback with US, Ryan Tannehill, Marcus Mariota,
- 36:24Speaker 6: not Aaron, I know. But it's the point of is
- 36:27Speaker 6: Aaron still is he still gonna have that ability to
- 36:30Speaker 6: get the ball down the field. I don't think they
- 36:33Speaker 6: had a quarterback like I know, but they never.
- 36:35Speaker 5: Also, the old.
- 36:36Speaker 6: Line is not as strong as y'all saying it is,
- 36:38Speaker 6: So Aaron Rodgers can't play behind a week old line
- 36:41Speaker 6: because he's not about to be running all over the field.
- 36:43Speaker 6: That's not him. He's too old to do that. He
- 36:45Speaker 6: won't do that, I'm telling you right now. That's what
- 36:49Speaker 6: That's where I feel like the upside is gonna come down.
- 36:51Speaker 6: Just like what you said. He feels like he's so smart.
- 36:54Speaker 6: He's smarter than offensive coordinator. That ship get that rubs
- 36:57Speaker 6: people the wrong way when you in the meeting room
- 36:59Speaker 6: when you're quarter back's like, oh well, no, we should
- 37:01Speaker 6: do it.
- 37:01Speaker 3: You don't think they haven't been building the synergy since
- 37:03Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers walked to the door.
- 37:07Speaker 6: I mean he gonna Arthur gonna play his role just
- 37:09Speaker 6: to you know, to make to make him please them
- 37:12Speaker 6: until he don't have to.
- 37:15Speaker 5: I just what I feel. Ill just think here's why
- 37:17Speaker 5: I like.
- 37:17Speaker 3: The Steelers in this division. I don't and I like
- 37:20Speaker 3: the I like the Ravens have the best team. Ravens
- 37:22Speaker 3: are gonna be the hardest to beat. Obviously, would not
- 37:25Speaker 3: be surprised if they win the division. I would love
- 37:27Speaker 3: to see Burrow just throw for forty five hundred. I'm
- 37:30Speaker 3: close to picking that on Fandel right now. Joe Burrow
- 37:33Speaker 3: throwing for over forty five.
- 37:34Speaker 5: I would rather do that one than Aaron Rodgers.
- 37:36Speaker 3: But here's why I liked Here's why I like the
- 37:38Speaker 3: Steelers coming out on this division because when you look
- 37:41Speaker 3: at the schedule between the Ravens and the Steelers, I'll
- 37:46Speaker 3: just rattle these off.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Ravens gotta play.
- 37:48Speaker 3: They open up at Buffalo, they host Detroit, they play
- 37:51Speaker 3: at Kansas City. They're playing Houston, the Rams, you got Minnesota,
- 37:56Speaker 3: you got obviously, they're in division games.
- 37:59Speaker 5: You got New England, you got Green Bay.
- 38:02Speaker 3: They're playing a lot of playoff teams that were in
- 38:04Speaker 3: the playoffs last year, and when you go to the Steelers,
- 38:07Speaker 3: you're not seeing any of those teams. Like they go
- 38:10Speaker 3: at New York, the Jets, they play Seattle, they play
- 38:13Speaker 3: New England, they play Minnesota, they play the Browns or
- 38:16Speaker 3: obviously the teams in their division, the.
- 38:18Speaker 5: Colts, Green Bay, the Bears.
- 38:23Speaker 3: They don't have they don't have a lot of they
- 38:25Speaker 3: don't have a lot of like ex playoff teams that
- 38:27Speaker 3: they have to play.
- 38:28Speaker 6: Similar to think they went out of the first five.
- 38:31Speaker 6: How many of you giving them out of the first five?
- 38:33Speaker 3: So they got their first four? Is the Jets, Seattle,
- 38:35Speaker 3: New England, Minnesota, and then they have a bye week
- 38:37Speaker 3: in the Browns. If they're dropping any games, I see
- 38:40Speaker 3: him dropping New England, New England or Minnesota.
- 38:44Speaker 2: But also Minnesota's got a new quarterback J J. McCarty.
- 38:47Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, Minnesota I think is a year away.
- 38:50Speaker 3: They're hosting Minnesota. Yeah, well they're not hosting. It's a
- 38:55Speaker 3: thirty AM, So that tells me it's overseas.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Oh yeah, but hot.
- 39:01Speaker 3: But those those first four, you know how you break
- 39:03Speaker 3: it down to like as a player, Obviously there's more
- 39:04Speaker 3: games now, but when of sixteen win sixteen games, it's
- 39:07Speaker 3: like a quarter at the time.
- 39:08Speaker 5: Your first first four, you.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Open up with the Jets, Seattle, New England, Minnesota.
- 39:13Speaker 6: You get three of them. They're in a great spot.
- 39:16Speaker 6: They go Jets. They playing the Jets at the Jets.
- 39:19Speaker 5: Yeah, they're going to New York. I really think the
- 39:21Speaker 5: Jets gonna turn around this year. We'll see. And then
- 39:24Speaker 5: the Ravens.
- 39:24Speaker 3: In their first four you got Buffalo, the Browns, the Lions,
- 39:28Speaker 3: Kansas City.
- 39:30Speaker 5: I like it.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it's great for football, it's great for fans
- 39:34Speaker 3: electric year. But I'm saying that's that's that's that's purely
- 39:38Speaker 3: based on schedule and teams they have to play. Ravens
- 39:41Speaker 3: feel like they're playing everybody from the playoffs last year.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Pittsburgh feels like they're not. They're not playing any weeks
- 39:49Speaker 3: outside of their division that's been the playoffs.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Texas, Texas. It's heartbreaking into Texas.
- 39:56Speaker 6: I mean, the Titans gotta show me something. I just
- 39:59Speaker 6: couldn't decide. I don't picking the.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Tys going by right now in the locker room show
- 40:04Speaker 2: Onward Texans.
- 40:05Speaker 6: Yeah, what do you guys think about the stuff that
- 40:08Speaker 6: just went down with the Colts? I mean, I believe
- 40:10Speaker 6: that was gonna happen. The man couldn't pick up a
- 40:14Speaker 6: regular blitz on a cover two rotation to Richardson.
- 40:18Speaker 5: Yeah, Anthony Richardson, he couldn't pick up that blitz.
- 40:20Speaker 6: It was a It showed cover too, but they rotate
- 40:22Speaker 6: to a cover three brung only like a Sam Dog
- 40:25Speaker 6: or something like that, and he didn't see it. Breaks
- 40:27Speaker 6: his pinky. You don't want to put a quarterback out there.
- 40:30Speaker 6: He's a liability. You have to make that decision.
- 40:33Speaker 5: You have to.
- 40:34Speaker 6: Don't get Dame Jones. All he can do is lose
- 40:36Speaker 6: the position. And Richardson goes back in and gets his
- 40:39Speaker 6: job back. That's literally where we're sitting at with that decision.
- 40:42Speaker 7: Yeah, and it's you know what that was his second
- 40:44Speaker 7: year last year started?
- 40:45Speaker 5: Was he he's in year three three?
- 40:46Speaker 3: Okay, I mean he's only played fifteen games, so because
- 40:49Speaker 3: he's got a lot of injury, like a lot of
- 40:51Speaker 3: he gets injured.
- 40:52Speaker 7: Yeah, Or you think of like the Trey Lance situation
- 40:54Speaker 7: forty nine ers when they you know, they benched him
- 40:56Speaker 7: so to speak, and I know that was because of
- 40:58Speaker 7: injuries as well, but it takes a lot. You almost
- 41:01Speaker 7: commend the team for ripping the band aid off and
- 41:04Speaker 7: admitting the mistake of drafting him. So you know, it's
- 41:09Speaker 7: it's tough, you know to kind of see that situation.
- 41:12Speaker 7: But you look at, like you said, all the off
- 41:13Speaker 7: field stuff too, like like you know, coming out of
- 41:16Speaker 7: the game, pulling yourself out when you tire. We got
- 41:19Speaker 7: a hip hop rap career on the side too, Like
- 41:21Speaker 7: you need everybody bought in, And I think Daniel Jones
- 41:25Speaker 7: gives him a better chance, but a better chance to
- 41:28Speaker 7: do what it's not.
- 41:29Speaker 5: It's not when the.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Dis people are going off to the coach too, because
- 41:31Speaker 3: it's like they're seeing it as the Coats organization. You
- 41:35Speaker 3: knew he was twenty one years old, you knew who
- 41:37Speaker 3: was young, you knew he was going to be a project.
- 41:39Speaker 3: You got to give him reps. You have to give
- 41:40Speaker 3: him time. And I think all of us from like
- 41:43Speaker 3: with experience playing in the league, like this game has
- 41:46Speaker 3: a small window for everybody, not just the players, the staff,
- 41:51Speaker 3: front office people. There's probably people sitting in that front
- 41:54Speaker 3: office seeing like, yeah, we gave up on him, Like
- 41:55Speaker 3: this person is saying it right, There's probably people being like, yeah,
- 41:57Speaker 3: we should have done this a while back. Because you
- 41:59Speaker 3: have the injury. He hasn't been available. Your best ability
- 42:02Speaker 3: is availability in the NFL, he hasn't been available because
- 42:05Speaker 3: of injuries. Is he showing promise and progress? On the
- 42:09Speaker 3: promise side, he flashes, he makes incredible plays, but as
- 42:13Speaker 3: far as consistency doing the little things, hitting guys out
- 42:15Speaker 3: in the flat, picking up simple day one install blitzes
- 42:19Speaker 3: in preseason, it's like, how long of a lease are
- 42:22Speaker 3: you going to give them before the staff or people
- 42:25Speaker 3: in the front office start feeling tight.
- 42:26Speaker 5: We're not going to have a long time here.
- 42:28Speaker 1: If we don't make a decision, they're essentially preserving themselves
- 42:31Speaker 1: or like we gotta yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Hey, we have to admit that we kind of fucked
- 42:34Speaker 5: this up.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Daniel Jones, I only know based on one interview that
- 42:37Speaker 3: happened in the locker room where they were interviewing one
- 42:39Speaker 3: of the players and they talk about how much command
- 42:40Speaker 3: that Daniel Jones has.
- 42:41Speaker 5: They're talking about his intangible stuff. He just seems understanding.
- 42:44Speaker 5: Know the offense. They did the same thing last year.
- 42:47Speaker 3: When they threw what Flacco in there, when they ended
- 42:50Speaker 3: up pulling the plug on Anthony Richardson because they're like, hey,
- 42:52Speaker 3: we're just gonna start Flacco. Dude pulls himself out of
- 42:54Speaker 3: the game for being too tired, gets called out like
- 42:58Speaker 3: I'm not surprised. I feel like was bound to happen,
- 43:01Speaker 3: especially again, not being on the inside is the promise
- 43:05Speaker 3: in making progress, and apparently he hasn't made the progress,
- 43:08Speaker 3: or he hasn't had the intentionality of being in the room.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Maybe he shows up early, but maybe.
- 43:12Speaker 3: It's not carrying over to the from practice field to
- 43:14Speaker 3: the games, and it's just like, what the fuck else
- 43:17Speaker 3: can we do here?
- 43:18Speaker 5: For the highest of highs when he does have him.
- 43:21Speaker 3: But the inconsistencies and the floor he has right now,
- 43:23Speaker 3: it's almost like they had to make the switch to
- 43:25Speaker 3: Daniel Jones.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson, he only knows this answer, but it's like,
- 43:29Speaker 1: how much effort and work are you putting into the
- 43:32Speaker 1: day in and day out processes of being able to
- 43:34Speaker 1: be an NFL quarterback.
- 43:35Speaker 2: He's the only one that knows that answer.
- 43:36Speaker 1: For them to make this decision at this point right now,
- 43:39Speaker 1: for Daniel Jones to be the starting quarterback, it's got
- 43:42Speaker 1: to be a Daniel Jones just above and beyond right
- 43:44Speaker 1: now and the self preservation of the upper office Jim Mercey,
- 43:47Speaker 1: he's gone now. Like ownership, there's a whole there's a
- 43:49Speaker 1: lot of changing.
- 43:50Speaker 5: DJ might be operating right now in that, Yeah, he
- 43:52Speaker 5: might be.
- 43:53Speaker 2: The people I feel bad for are like Quentin Nelson.
- 43:57Speaker 2: He's sitting in the locker room.
- 43:58Speaker 1: He was asked after practice the other day, you know,
- 44:01Speaker 1: are you frustrated because you're not having a quarterback in
- 44:05Speaker 1: their year and in a year out when you have
- 44:07Speaker 1: a kind of a revolving door of who your guy
- 44:09Speaker 1: is going to be? And as politely and we all
- 44:11Speaker 1: know Quentin Nelson how good of a guy he is
- 44:13Speaker 1: off the field, as politely as as he possibly could
- 44:16Speaker 1: say yes, it's very frustrated and not have that cohesiveness,
- 44:20Speaker 1: that consistency of having somebody back there that you can
- 44:23Speaker 1: build a rapport with week in and week out, year
- 44:25Speaker 1: and a year out.
- 44:26Speaker 2: So it's like it's hurting them. They've got to find
- 44:28Speaker 2: their guy. Is DJ the guy? I don't know?
- 44:30Speaker 1: But if Anthony richards not the guy, it's like sometimes
- 44:34Speaker 1: you gotta just may a clean cut. Now. The good
- 44:36Speaker 1: news for Anthony Richardson Bryce Young, he was benched last year,
- 44:39Speaker 1: comes back. He kind of resparked in and reunited like, Okay,
- 44:42Speaker 1: maybe we do have something here. He got a little
- 44:44Speaker 1: kick in the ass. Baker Mayfield is the first overall
- 44:47Speaker 1: pick for the Cleveland Browns. He starts bouncing over the place,
- 44:49Speaker 1: kind of resurrects his career when he has a two
- 44:51Speaker 1: day notice with the Rams comes by and he has
- 44:53Speaker 1: a game winning drive. Now he's found a home in
- 44:55Speaker 1: a one hundred million dollar contract at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
- 44:58Speaker 1: So there's still hope for him. There's got to be
- 45:00Speaker 1: a level of maturity that takes place on understanding of
- 45:02Speaker 1: your process, how your mind works, and the best way
- 45:05Speaker 1: for you to get from Sunday to Sunday with the
- 45:07Speaker 1: answers to the test. He's got to figure that out.
- 45:10Speaker 1: No one else can do it for him. Sucks for him.
- 45:12Speaker 1: You just kind of hope that they kind of right
- 45:13Speaker 1: the ship. It hurts me more than anything is picking
- 45:16Speaker 1: the Texas.
- 45:16Speaker 5: I mean, Daniel Jones is like a few years ago,
- 45:18Speaker 5: he was an elite quarterback. They gave him a deal.
- 45:20Speaker 5: We thought he was going to be a stud and
- 45:22Speaker 5: he came out and he pretty much shit the bed.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Well, there's a lot of you know, there's a lot
- 45:26Speaker 3: of evidence in a resume there that you know they're
- 45:29Speaker 3: running through like five different offensive line rotations they're working.
- 45:32Speaker 3: He's working with the threes. There's not a lot of weapons. Yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 3: he had Malik Neighbors last year and stuff, but he
- 45:37Speaker 3: hasn't necessarily had a roster to work with. The Colts
- 45:41Speaker 3: do have some talent on the roster, so it will
- 45:43Speaker 3: be interesting to see. And also at the beginning when
- 45:45Speaker 3: they brought Daniel Jones in, they the Colts are saying like,
- 45:49Speaker 3: this is a this is a this is an open competition. Yeah,
- 45:52Speaker 3: this job isn't Anthony Richardson's. It's not you know, obviously
- 45:55Speaker 3: Daniel Jones.
- 45:55Speaker 6: But again, everything that's went down over the last couple years,
- 45:58Speaker 6: especially last year, like how you saw the Colts operate
- 46:00Speaker 6: with Anthony Richmond after he tapped out, after they put
- 46:03Speaker 6: into a Flaco, used a few different quarterbacks.
- 46:05Speaker 5: It was open competition. It seemed like Daniel Jones won
- 46:07Speaker 5: the job out right.
- 46:08Speaker 6: Do anyone know if Daniel Jones did the did the
- 46:12Speaker 6: Colts take it, pick up his contract or did they
- 46:14Speaker 6: give him a new contract and when he.
- 46:18Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I really they got him at a good price.
- 46:21Speaker 6: Okay, And that's cool because if he had the if
- 46:23Speaker 6: they took that contract over, he needs to start.
- 46:26Speaker 8: He's signed for one year, fourteen million, one year fourteen.
- 46:30Speaker 5: They paid him to come in and compete.
- 46:33Speaker 7: Do they have any money for a future?
- 46:34Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, that's a good question.
- 46:37Speaker 5: Ireland Join.
- 46:38Speaker 1: This episode is brought to you by Michelobultra Superior light Beer.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Very fun, the delicious taste of victory deserves something equally superior.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Cheer on your team with the Michelobultra at two point
- 46:48Speaker 1: six carves and ninety five calories at the Superior smooth
- 46:50Speaker 1: taste worth playing for Michelo Ultra Superior Light Beer let's.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Get back to this episode.
- 46:56Speaker 7: I mean, unless they just tank this next year and
- 46:58Speaker 7: get you know, top five pick, which could very well
- 47:02Speaker 7: be the case.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Got a lot of quarterbacks in the off the case. Yeah,
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to tank. Should we hit NFC. We are
- 47:08Speaker 1: getting a little I will.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Say we're very excited about camp Moore in the Tennessee Titans.
- 47:11Speaker 2: They excited.
- 47:12Speaker 1: We are very I think the expectation you need to
- 47:15Speaker 1: hold the expectation there win six seven games. I think
- 47:18Speaker 1: you need to be proud of the Tennessee Titan fan.
- 47:19Speaker 5: I want a lot of this.
- 47:21Speaker 1: He's got the attitude like he's in first one in,
- 47:24Speaker 1: last one out mentality coach. You got to make him
- 47:25Speaker 1: get out of the building like he's got all the stuff.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I just don't think he has the pieces right now.
- 47:30Speaker 1: I don't think he's pieces right now.
- 47:31Speaker 8: You have the winning the ac outright.
- 47:40Speaker 2: And the GM may or may not have given me
- 47:42Speaker 2: a reason to back him a whole bunch.
- 47:44Speaker 5: I just said, we can put them through the table
- 47:46Speaker 5: they win. Yeah, we need to go to the parade.
- 47:49Speaker 5: Well if they if they win, you can slam them
- 47:51Speaker 5: through the table. The super Bowl. We need to be
- 47:55Speaker 5: at the at the parade at the Super Bowl.
- 47:56Speaker 2: So yeah, so did did the bat?
- 48:00Speaker 5: We got the Super Bowl?
- 48:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, being essentially he bribed us, bribe me
- 48:05Speaker 2: into I'm picking up.
- 48:06Speaker 5: Yeah, that's that's what's I'll go Bills. I think it's
- 48:12Speaker 5: up in the air. Bro it is.
- 48:13Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's it's all you never knows to happen.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Injuries happened, but like, yeah, right now where I sit,
- 48:21Speaker 3: reserve the right to change my mind all throughout the year,
- 48:24Speaker 3: but right now I'm going.
- 48:25Speaker 5: Who should Who is the Bills most afraid of? Though?
- 48:27Speaker 5: Right now? Who would you say if the Bills should
- 48:29Speaker 5: be Chiefs Broncos? What what I mean? The villain in
- 48:38Speaker 5: the Bills, the villain in their story is the chief.
- 48:40Speaker 5: I know, I trust me, but I feel like the
- 48:42Speaker 5: Chiefs ain't gonna be as good as they were. No,
- 48:45Speaker 5: I agree with what you're saying.
- 48:46Speaker 7: Who should I'm said, Ravens are I'm taking the rave
- 48:50Speaker 7: I'm just I'm.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Just asking a question. You just said, what about the Raiders.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I'm taking the Ravens. But yeah, I got the Bills. Ravens, Ravens, Bills, Bills. Yeah,
- 49:03Speaker 2: that's where we're at.
- 49:04Speaker 5: NC, Go ahead, will NFC South. I got the Bucks, Bucks, Bucks.
- 49:11Speaker 7: I think they're battling at about nine ten wins with
- 49:14Speaker 7: the Falcons. But I think, you know, the Bucks pull
- 49:17Speaker 7: it out way you said with the Falcons. The Falcons
- 49:19Speaker 7: with panis Yep.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, I mean, I think, I think you're right.
- 49:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I think Baker Mayfield. I love his story, I love
- 49:27Speaker 2: his attitude.
- 49:30Speaker 6: There are some question marks with the Godwin and well
- 49:33Speaker 6: he just signed sixty six million dollars contracts, so he
- 49:36Speaker 6: coming back.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Okay, the injury or what Yeah they're talking about yeah, yeah,
- 49:39Speaker 3: the health of him right now. And Tristan Tristian Worfs, Yeah,
- 49:43Speaker 3: Christian Worfs.
- 49:44Speaker 1: They did it, I mean free agency. They got Hassan Reddick,
- 49:46Speaker 1: who was like he sit up the entire sat Yeah,
- 49:50Speaker 1: set up for the whole year, but was electric. They
- 49:52Speaker 1: get rid of Shack, Barrett Shacks, a little older, longer
- 49:54Speaker 1: in the tooth, as you like to say. I think
- 49:56Speaker 1: it's a good trade off. I just don't see the
- 49:59Speaker 1: Falcons thinking of big step. I think that the Panthers
- 50:02Speaker 1: are going to be with the Panther's going to be.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I think, you know, they might get a little bit
- 50:04Speaker 1: better this year than the Saints. We still don't know
- 50:06Speaker 1: who the starting quarterbacks is gonna be. I know Jp
- 50:08Speaker 1: Hovey somewhere saying it's got to be a rattler and
- 50:10Speaker 1: Kellen Moore new head coach, but like it's the Bucks,
- 50:13Speaker 1: it's the Bucks division to lose.
- 50:14Speaker 3: Remind me he's just stud and I hate that. I'm
- 50:17Speaker 3: forgetting his name right now. Remind me of the running
- 50:19Speaker 3: back with the Bucks, Rookie Bucky Irving, Tampa Bacon run
- 50:26Speaker 3: the football.
- 50:27Speaker 5: Take we talk about you talk about Baker.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Mayfield, Evans Godwin, all those, all the weapons he has,
- 50:32Speaker 3: They Bucky Irving, they can run the football.
- 50:35Speaker 5: I like the Bucks.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Their new OC. Like you got to make sure that
- 50:40Speaker 1: him and Baker Mesh. He was obviously the offensive passing
- 50:42Speaker 1: coordinator last year. He's just walked into a new role
- 50:45Speaker 1: of calling the plays now. Hopefully they keep the thinking
- 50:48Speaker 1: the same thing going. And Mike Evans, Buddy, he just.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Guarantee the eleven championship for an NFC championship. Do you
- 50:57Speaker 3: I like him competing. I don't know if I got
- 50:59Speaker 3: him right now, but I like winning the division. They
- 51:02Speaker 3: are competing, but I'm talking about making a run you're
- 51:05Speaker 3: not talking like Bucks. You know they get in, They're
- 51:07Speaker 3: probably not gonna go far, right, I'm talking about it.
- 51:09Speaker 5: I think they can be You.
- 51:10Speaker 1: See them in the NFC yeah, and a nail bighter
- 51:12Speaker 1: in the divisional yea yeah, championship game.
- 51:16Speaker 5: I mean a division is weak, so they should be fun.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Let's get to Let's get to the NFC North, Clay,
- 51:23Speaker 2: this is your world.
- 51:23Speaker 7: There is my world right here.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Are you going to be a homer?
- 51:27Speaker 7: Homer all the way Packers plus two thirty? You know
- 51:30Speaker 7: what I mean that you wanted me to mix it
- 51:31Speaker 7: up and there the easy decision, like you're getting on
- 51:33Speaker 7: me for is the Lions, right, But I'm worried about
- 51:36Speaker 7: the Lions and losing Aaron Glenn. Uh. Yeah, I'm going
- 51:41Speaker 7: going to Chicago.
- 51:42Speaker 9: Uh.
- 51:43Speaker 7: And then you know with Sam Darnold leaving and you
- 51:45Speaker 7: got J. J. McCarthy talking about this not knowing what
- 51:47Speaker 7: he's brought. So I think the Packers get up early
- 51:50Speaker 7: in the season. I'm not saying they're the best team
- 51:52Speaker 7: by the end of the year, but I think it's
- 51:54Speaker 7: gonna I think that's gonna be the deepest division, the
- 51:57Speaker 7: NFC North, the Black and Blue Division. I got the
- 51:59Speaker 7: powers and lines making the playoff. Packers winning it a game.
- 52:04Speaker 7: Maybe they're tied, but they got the half game lead.
- 52:06Speaker 7: Whatever it is, I think, uh Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs,
- 52:10Speaker 7: the receivers kind of you know, their their availability we
- 52:13Speaker 7: talk about, you know, they're constantly hurt. True, I forgot
- 52:20Speaker 7: about that.
- 52:20Speaker 2: I mean, buddy, how could you forget that?
- 52:22Speaker 7: We were there?
- 52:23Speaker 5: You you still.
- 52:26Speaker 7: Thank you? But you know, run game. I think it's
- 52:31Speaker 7: the Packers year. I think it's it's they win the
- 52:33Speaker 7: NFC North. I think the Lions just they don't put
- 52:35Speaker 7: it together. You hear some of this talk coming out
- 52:37Speaker 7: of training camp, you know, some inconsistencies on offense. Not
- 52:40Speaker 7: sure about the defense. But the Vikings, I'm not all
- 52:43Speaker 7: in on them. I think the Packers eat this one out.
- 52:45Speaker 5: You haven't even mentioned the Bears.
- 52:48Speaker 7: Bears look good on their one drive. But I know, bro,
- 52:51Speaker 7: it's preseason, Like I don't even care about I watched
- 52:54Speaker 7: your door play the Eagles or whoever it was in
- 52:56Speaker 7: week one.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Three?
- 53:01Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, but that's it. I haven't watched.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Any It'll be interesting with Ben Johnson the new Yeah,
- 53:07Speaker 1: well him. People were saying, not a leader of men.
- 53:09Speaker 6: It was.
- 53:09Speaker 1: It was a weird shot at him. But then Caleb
- 53:13Speaker 1: Williams unique personality. Is he going to take the step
- 53:15Speaker 1: because last year it's like, what are we doing?
- 53:17Speaker 7: He's got all the talent.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Yeah, too many.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Questions marks and Bears, too many question marks with Minnesota
- 53:20Speaker 1: for you to sit and like really playing a flag.
- 53:22Speaker 7: And the Packers, you know, I know they were what
- 53:24Speaker 7: one in four to one and five in divisional games
- 53:27Speaker 7: last year, losing to the Bears, losing to the Vikings
- 53:29Speaker 7: twice and the Lions twice, But I think they get
- 53:33Speaker 7: over on him this year. They continue playing well with
- 53:36Speaker 7: the AFC opponents they have the other NFC they also
- 53:39Speaker 7: finished did they finished second or third in there in
- 53:42Speaker 7: the NFC North, which means they're going to play that
- 53:44Speaker 7: Tier three of the NFC right there, which allows him
- 53:47Speaker 7: for an easier schedule. So I think just by if
- 53:50Speaker 7: you're playing the odds, I think they finished first.
- 53:52Speaker 1: You you can definitely sell me on all those points.
- 53:54Speaker 1: And I know the Lions they lost lost a few guys,
- 53:57Speaker 1: Frank Ragnow, Kevin Zeidler. The thing for me is it's culture, culture, culture,
- 54:03Speaker 1: and it's like you watch Netflix quarterback, you watch the quarterback.
- 54:07Speaker 1: You watch the way they approach every single week Dan Campbell,
- 54:11Speaker 1: the way he is in press conference is the way
- 54:12Speaker 1: you go to their training camps and you see that
- 54:14Speaker 1: they are truly about bringing this brand up to what
- 54:17Speaker 1: they need to be, which is the Super Bowl champions.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I I've bought so much stock in them, and I
- 54:22Speaker 1: love the idea of my god, I'm forgetting his name,
- 54:26Speaker 1: but to Michigan to Electric, he was playing a defensive
- 54:33Speaker 1: player of the year mentality who had the statute for
- 54:35Speaker 1: it gets the tim fib getting a sack sucks. You
- 54:39Speaker 1: see the he's just working in silence. Every once in
- 54:42Speaker 1: a while, you'll get on Twitter, you'll get on the Bird.
- 54:44Speaker 2: You see a little clippy of him just hitting the corner. Yeah.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Piece of view is like, if this dude comes back
- 54:52Speaker 1: and they have that type of rush, I think that's
- 54:55Speaker 1: what they're missing last year to get over the hump.
- 54:57Speaker 7: I've seen some the internet speak some of these video.
- 55:00Speaker 7: In one of is one on ones, he looks good.
- 55:02Speaker 5: No, I would just.
- 55:04Speaker 7: Was hot because that's the type of injury, you know,
- 55:06Speaker 7: and he's he's about to get paid. You know, he's
- 55:08Speaker 7: this guy and it's just a freak accident. He just
- 55:10Speaker 7: got leg whipped, you know, or he leg whipped someone
- 55:12Speaker 7: breaks tip fib like you said. But now to see
- 55:14Speaker 7: him come back, I'm just happy on a personal level
- 55:16Speaker 7: for him that I hope he gets back to where
- 55:18Speaker 7: he was at. He's showing it. He's ready to continue
- 55:21Speaker 7: what he's doing and get paid for.
- 55:22Speaker 2: Good.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Thing about a tip fid when you're young, too, it's
- 55:24Speaker 1: not like a ligament type of thing. You just hey,
- 55:26Speaker 1: put him metal plate in that iron man now, like
- 55:29Speaker 1: you kind of as long as you can get over
- 55:30Speaker 1: it mentally, a lot of times you go.
- 55:32Speaker 7: Back to the same I see that big black pad
- 55:34Speaker 7: on his pasty legs like mine. It worries me. But
- 55:36Speaker 7: then he he dips under and I go, yeah, he's there.
- 55:39Speaker 1: He's kind of got it, got the attitude, and he's
- 55:41Speaker 1: he's a great leader too. Once he's out, you're not
- 55:43Speaker 1: losing him from a stat standpoint. But it's like like
- 55:46Speaker 1: getting a rising tight to lift all boats. Like he
- 55:48Speaker 1: brought that defense to a whole new level.
- 55:50Speaker 2: So I like the Lions. I'm gonna play my flags
- 55:52Speaker 2: the Lions, but I would not be surprised with the packers.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Hey, I'm saying with the Lions. I mean they just
- 55:55Speaker 5: still got too many threats on the outside. I'm rah Laplorida.
- 56:01Speaker 5: You got Jamison Williams and you himns the back. J
- 56:06Speaker 5: Gibbs like great offensive line.
- 56:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you have two great tackles. Graham Glasgow is one
- 56:16Speaker 1: of the more underrated guards in the entire league. H
- 56:18Speaker 1: you gotta fix that problem with Frank Ragno. I know
- 56:20Speaker 1: he dealt some injuries early, like like last year a lot,
- 56:23Speaker 1: which probably led to him retiring a little bit early.
- 56:27Speaker 1: You fix that Zeitler being gone, Like, you got three
- 56:29Speaker 1: core guys in there that are going to uplift that.
- 56:32Speaker 2: I think they're gonna hold the standard.
- 56:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I like him a lot. I like him a lot.
- 56:35Speaker 3: I'm in line with with Clay. I think the Lions
- 56:38Speaker 3: make the playoffs. I think the Packers edge them out.
- 56:40Speaker 5: I think there's being in the lot, being in the
- 56:44Speaker 5: locker room.
- 56:45Speaker 3: I think you're no better, no better spots where you
- 56:47Speaker 3: have the roster, you have a good defense, you have
- 56:50Speaker 3: the pieces of offense you need.
- 56:52Speaker 5: Jordan Love to stay healthy. We know he's light skinned.
- 56:54Speaker 5: Them softish can jump up on him and he can
- 56:56Speaker 5: be out.
- 56:56Speaker 7: Fore, he just had surgery on his left thumb. He
- 56:58Speaker 7: tore tore ligaman and and so now he's getting light.
- 57:00Speaker 7: You know, we're a couple of weeks away from week one,
- 57:02Speaker 7: Like yeah, Star fast.
- 57:04Speaker 5: And yeah, yeah, y'all back up. I mean your backup
- 57:06Speaker 5: is okay, but.
- 57:08Speaker 7: I don't even know who that is.
- 57:10Speaker 5: They can win with them, They can win with them.
- 57:12Speaker 3: And they can run the football again. They you know,
- 57:14Speaker 3: you got Joran Love, but they can run the football.
- 57:16Speaker 3: They have good they have good run defense. They return
- 57:19Speaker 3: all of these pieces. And when the focus in the building,
- 57:23Speaker 3: the urgency can be tailored around winning your division. Because
- 57:26Speaker 3: they stumbled in the division last year, even though they
- 57:29Speaker 3: still made the playoffs and everything else. But when you
- 57:31Speaker 3: can bring the focus in the building to we have
- 57:33Speaker 3: to win our division, I think it brings a sense
- 57:36Speaker 3: of urgency. With the talent you have on that roster,
- 57:38Speaker 3: I think they edge out the Lions.
- 57:39Speaker 6: And that's why I like the Packers in the coming
- 57:42Speaker 6: out of the North NFC West interesting division.
- 57:49Speaker 1: At the end of the day, I'm leaning towards the
- 57:50Speaker 1: forty nine ers. You want to kind of look at
- 57:52Speaker 1: the Rams and Sean McVay. But then there's all these
- 57:54Speaker 1: reports stuff coming out about Stafford.
- 57:57Speaker 2: He's got a back issue. He is older.
- 58:00Speaker 7: Know how bad it is though, or you haven't practiced.
- 58:03Speaker 5: He can just he can just do it.
- 58:06Speaker 2: I mean he's tough ast shit.
- 58:08Speaker 5: He is shit.
- 58:09Speaker 3: And you're talking about man Davante Adamska Nakula, I'm with you.
- 58:14Speaker 5: Aaron Williams, Yeah, just got paid.
- 58:16Speaker 3: They were nice last year to that young defense, a
- 58:18Speaker 3: defensive line, they were all like the first second year time,
- 58:21Speaker 3: first second year guys. Yeah, they are animals, bro, They're
- 58:25Speaker 3: gonna be good.
- 58:25Speaker 7: They're gonna be They're made to win the super Bowl,
- 58:28Speaker 7: They're made to win the West. I just I'm just
- 58:31Speaker 7: a little worried. And I think you can talk about
- 58:33Speaker 7: Sola coming back to the forty nine ers. Obviously it's
- 58:35Speaker 7: like sexy for the defense and whatnot. McCaffrey, you know,
- 58:38Speaker 7: getting healthy again, it's it's once again. It's one of
- 58:40Speaker 7: those ones where it's hard to bet against them. If
- 58:43Speaker 7: they can get back to their winning ways once again.
- 58:45Speaker 5: They stay healthy.
- 58:46Speaker 7: Finishing third in their division, they're gonna have an easier schedule.
- 58:49Speaker 7: Let's hope Stafford comes back. But I see I didn't
- 58:52Speaker 7: pick him, but I got the Seahawks as a Seahawks
- 58:56Speaker 7: as playoff team. That's talk about great defense, run the ball,
- 59:01Speaker 7: don't turn it over. Ten wins last year, ten and
- 59:04Speaker 7: seven last year, same as the Texans, same as a
- 59:06Speaker 7: bunch of the other other teams. Gino Smith whatever he
- 59:09Speaker 7: did out there last year and he's not there anymore.
- 59:10Speaker 7: But now you're bringing Sam Donald.
- 59:12Speaker 5: Shown but you got Sam Donald.
- 59:15Speaker 7: Right you you who's the young buck they have? But
- 59:17Speaker 7: they yeah, they got yeah, yeah yeah.
- 59:20Speaker 5: And so in Zach year from u c l A.
- 59:24Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, you do a great yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 7: I'm just saying they run the ball, don't turn it over,
- 59:30Speaker 7: play great defense. I could see they're getting in the playoffs.
- 59:34Speaker 7: They could be playing with the forty.
- 59:36Speaker 6: Nine ers in the Rams with the offensive coordinator Coupon
- 59:38Speaker 6: at Kobet Cobt.
- 59:43Speaker 7: A couple ends.
- 59:43Speaker 8: And yeah yeah, they also just signed Cooper cup.
- 59:50Speaker 7: I was with Coop in twenty nineteen, and you was
- 59:52Speaker 7: down in that bet.
- 59:53Speaker 5: You was down in that bet. I'm telling you you
- 59:56Speaker 5: still got to do it.
- 59:57Speaker 7: I got Niners, but I got Ram Seahawks making the playoffs.
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: I think I just think, you.
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: Know, you know, give me all of them except the Cardinals.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: We're actually expanding the playoff this year and we're taking
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: them all. Yeah, I got them niners, dude. I know
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: they lost a lot of guys. They lost a lot
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: of guys in a free aanency Deebo, Samuel Hargrave. They
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: lost a lot of people on their defense. But you
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: still got culture. Brock Bowers, brock Bowers, Rock Party, CMC,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Fred Warner, Trent Williams, George Kittle, like you have the
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: nucleus of culture in your locker room. You know, everyone's
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: getting older. The sense of urgency is there because of
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: the failure of last year.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: This is the year that they have to do.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Something because I don't know if there's another year. You
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: get to sit with that group of guys and say
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: they have an opportunity to do something. They gotta stay healthy.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: They're not very deep, but if they can do those
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: things and stay healthy, which is borderline impossible, I think
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: their contenders.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: I'm actually I'm excited to see I'm excited to see
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: them play. Man. I got to do a golf tournament
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: with them, and I was hanging with Matt Jones. Man.
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: He was actually and I you know, I said some
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: stuff about Matt Jones when he played for the Patriots.
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: But after hanging out with that dude he is, he's solid.
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: I hope he get a shot to go out there
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: and ball out and make some plays like just being true.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: For like him. Yeah, he is real. He a real dude, bro, real.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: I feel you. I didn't make my pick, make your pick.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: I'm just gonna go ahead and rock with the boys
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: San Francisco, and I'm just gonna go ahead and say
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: the insurance policy would not be surprised if the Rams
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: and you glow. He kind of talked to me to
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: the Seahawks a little bit. It's gonna be a fun
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: division too, because it's like Davante Adams and look again,
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: it's all health. It's all health between the Rams and
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: also the Niners because we did the same song and
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: dance last year with the Niners. It's the windows closing.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: This is the time you do it with this group
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: of guys. They have him back around this year. Last
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: year they showed us they couldn't all stay on the
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: field at the same time. I'm gonna rock with them
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: because we're tight in. We're tight together. I'm rock with
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: the Niners. But I also it's gonna to me it's
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: gonna be uh. The Rams are the Niners. If Stafford's healthy,
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: I think they have a hell of a squad. I
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: think that young I think that young defense is gonna
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: be nasty. Stafford is a dog, he's tough at shit.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: He's got Davonte Adams, He's got Pooka Nakula Kyun Williams.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: McVeigh is a brainiac. You also got the same thing
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: with shanahann I'll go ahead and give the nod to
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: the Niners, but they're.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Right there from one A, one B for me, that
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: clip of Sean mcberry putting up Devanta Adams in front
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: of the team. Yeah, and he's the only guy that
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: like leaves the Packers, goes to the Raiders, gets a
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: little more quiet, goes to the Jets, gets a little
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: more quiet. But everyone's still like, still a top five.
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: I mean he still can run ross. I mean you
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: can see it on film. He's just not getting the
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: ball thrown to him right open.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Receivers only get quiet. Statistically, everyone's kind of like, move
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: on with Davanta Adams. Everyone's like, no, no, no, he's still.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: I'm going I'm going Rams. Did you see to do that?
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: George I'm sorry.
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: They had a meme of him, like you know, have
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: you ever been to like a dryer cleaners drying cleaner's
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: shop and how they come out on the rack like
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: they get your clothes. They had Stafford coming out on
- 1:03:18Speaker 6: the rack. Ge't getting ready to play in again, like
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: this is a season opener. You see him coming out
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: on the rack, drop his ass the field, hopefully his
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: back all right, Nah, he should be all right, give him.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Some your division, your world.
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: I think it's the Eagles.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: I think it's the Eagles until like if the Commanders
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: are going to compete, the Commanders are gonna be going
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: to compete in the East.
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: They have to get better on defense.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: They're the only you know, you look at uh you
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: know ten, ten of the best, like nine of the
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: top ten run defenses.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: All those teams made the playoffs.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: The only alien, the only outre of a bottom run
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: defense was Washington that made the playoffs and they made
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: an exciting run. But I think if they're gonna push
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: to win that division because I think they got the
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: ability on offense, I think Jay Daniel's gonna have a
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: hell of a year potentially being MVP. Talks early in
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: the year and carrying it all the way through. I
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: think he's that much of a stud. But if they're
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: gonna close the gap and being the guys in the East,
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: it's gonna be on defense. I know they've made it
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: a focus on run defense, the mentality on defense. I
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: know they let Jonathan Allen go. They got some different
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: guys on the defensive line, but that's where that's where
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: Washington can gain ground.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: But I do have the Eagles.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: To me, it's like, as long as that team's put together,
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: they have aliens everywhere, and I don't see him slowing
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: down unless something happens, and it would start at the
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: quarterback position, unless something happens with Jalen Hurts and there's
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: moments where he misses receivers and there's a.
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: Little drama that starts to happen. Other than that, I
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: don't see the Eagles slowing down. I mean, they did
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: do some added on defense, they added von Miller, so
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: hopefully he get right.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: But you were telling you this is this is vond
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Miller twenty twenty five. He had six sacs last year
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: in twelve games. Like he like, he's still a guy.
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: You have to lose. But again we're talking.
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: We're talking in the past game like if Washington is
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: going to get bedder, it has to be the run defense.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, And Vaughan's not a guy you're bringing in. No, no, no.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: The Commander straight me is like a in a very
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: unique way, like the way the Bengals draft Joe Burrow
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: and the next year, like you gotta get a tackle,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: you gotta do this, like we're gonna, we're gonna, we're
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: gonna double down on just getting more weapons, and they
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: end up going to the Super Bowl that year. The
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: thing that takes me away from the Eagles is just history.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Like the last time NFC East won the back to
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: back titles, it was two thousand and four, and so
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: every year it's been somebody else. It's always just kind
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: of switched Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles, and also just been a
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: revolving door who the champion is going to be. I
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: love the addition of Lamby Tunzel. I love the addition
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: to Deebo Samuel. I think Jane Daniels Janie yeah him.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I think because of history, I think the Eagles are
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: absolute juggernauts. They're gonna make the playoffs. I think having fun,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: having a good time seeing how exciting they could be
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: making to the NFC championship last year. I'm gonna go
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: with the Commanders. It's a fun division to watch.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: Fun but you know, if you look at the talks
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: and what people saying, you know, second year quarterbacks usually
- 1:06:19Speaker 6: coming in they have a down spout, like because people
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: started figuring him out, learning statistics, know what they like
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: to do. I'm scared that he has a drop off
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: this year. That's the only JS Daniels have a drop off.
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: That's the only part.
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: That's That's what I'm thinking. I'm saying, it's Philadelphia is
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: you know, obviously Washington last year they made the playoffs
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: in that incredible run. But ultimately I think J Daniels
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: takes a step back. And that doesn't mean he's not exciting.
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: He showed in this preseason game, you know, he had
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: some scramble for a touchdown like he's gonna make electric plays.
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: I just don't know if, like if that was anomaly
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: last year. But like you said, now we figure out
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: how to guard him, how to contain him, make him
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: pass whatever it may be. I think it's he can
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: throw the rock.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: He can throw, but it isn't comparable in the league.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: Ite'ts Lamar Jackson. I mean j Neals had you know,
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: all those pass years, he had over eight hundred rushing yard,
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: like he can sling the rock.
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: He also hurt too, du He also got hurt the ball.
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: He also got hurt running the ball.
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: And they had a Marcus Mariota that can come in
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: and almost simulate the same thing he was doing.
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: But do they have that back up Marcus dominated dominate.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying, So you he will get hurt because,
- 1:07:26Speaker 6: like you said, he does like to run the ball,
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: He likes to take chances. He put the team on
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: his back, and his his catastrophical plays was sixteen percent.
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: That's really high. Whatever however you say it was very Spanish, Yeah, catastrophic,
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: it was high.
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: It was sixteen percent because he threw a lot of
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: interceptions or took a lot of sacks. I mean he
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: didn't have a lot of intercept he had four, but
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: he took a lot of sacks when he should have
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: threw the ball away.
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: These are things he needs to learn or learn from
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: or it's going to hurt him in the long run.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't, haven't the awareness.
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: I got him on the playoffs, into the talent.
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: How deep the Eagles are on defense, off, they got
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: everything every when.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: We went to their camp, every every position group you there, like,
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: oh shit, I know he was on the team.
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: Yeah, this guy you don't even play because there's so many.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Good they really, they really had a stack emphasis. They
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: really have a stack squad out there. But I like,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: I want to get excited about the Commanders. I want to,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: so I'm kind of just talking myself into the into
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: them over the Eagles. But and also two thousand and four,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: last time anybody went back to.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Back it was the Eagles.
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: So I got the Eagles, Egles, Eagles.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: I don't know, give me the Lions. For the same
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: reason as I said, culture, culture, culture, you gotta have it.
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: Will I like the packers of the Rams, So you
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: switched back to the to the Rams right at You
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: don't even know who I.
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: Gave what I gave the team just sitting here talking
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: ball with all y'all.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Yeah, these guys are probably just like Will change five.
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: Hey, who did I have as my NFC winner?
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: It's get talking the Rams.
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: Or as I had the Lions. I'm gonna go us
- 1:09:29Speaker 6: I'm gonna go packers like it, Go pack, go, go
- 1:09:33Speaker 6: pack Go. Who'd you take?
- 1:09:36Speaker 7: I got the Eagles. I got the Eagles.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: MVP brought to you by True Classic, True Classic m
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: v ps. My m v P Josh Allen. See him
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: and see him practice. I picked them to win the
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: a f C, to win their division, and spoiler alert,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: I'm picking them to win the Super Bowl. Your boy's
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: gonna be at the parade. I'll be diving through tables,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: pouring mustard of myself. It's all in the back of
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: the hard work of Josh Allen. Go to practice, see
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: him miss two passes. He goes in, shakesweall and ice
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: hands like an appolute jackass. And he's gonna just tell
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: he's relaxed, he's cool, calm and confident. He's he's doubling
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: down the MVP this year.
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: I'm taking Jalen Hurts to win the NFL m VP.
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: I think they got the best team in football. And
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: it don't just take one player. Takes a team for
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: a player to get an m v P. And that's
- 1:10:18Speaker 6: what's gonna happen with the Eagles.
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: Baby, My MVP Joe Burrow.
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: Joe Burrow just that's it, Bill Burrow, Joe Burrow, I
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: got Lamar Jackson. I think you know, you look at
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: last year what he said he should have won it.
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: Last year I voted for team give it to Josh Allen.
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: I don't see him slowing down at all, especially with
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: Derek Henry.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: There also Joe Brady, the OC for the Bills, Like
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: we get to we get to camp and he's like,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I should have want my boys hat like he's he's
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: like ingraining the culture of bustling with the boys, but
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: instead of talking ball to us, he's like, you gotta
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: get Josh.
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: And a dick joke.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: No one gets him. You got to get him. So
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: you got to see that's bought in to what Josh
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: Allen has bought into very rare.
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: And then yeah, yeah what he got it's mind sets
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: will super Bowl pick was the Lions, but.
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: I got the Ravens. I got Lamar winning the m
- 1:11:13Speaker 7: v P. I got to win the Super Bowl MVP,
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: and I got the Baltimore Ravens.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: I'm following suit with Clay super.
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: Bowl whatever winner? What what superwil be on forty No.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: Fifty fifty three four? What is that?
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: L L I V lived Lived was last year, right,
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: Live was last year, So this has to be l V.
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: Last year.
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: Lex, Damn, I agree with you. Fifty fifty, I take
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: away from the X that was fifty nine.
- 1:11:48Speaker 8: Sixty.
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: It's super Bowl, super Bowl, Lex, it could be it's the.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, another one, MVP super Bowl fifty's sixty. It's the
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: give me the bills, Give me the bills, Bills over Lions.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: Ravens over Eagles, Ravens manvers, Ravens over Eagles.
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: That's exactly I got.
- 1:12:14Speaker 10: He went on all of us, and I like the
- 1:12:18Speaker 10: Ravens are none of us did this game because you
- 1:12:24Speaker 10: know the Chiefs, I mean, don't say that this is
- 1:12:28Speaker 10: the perfect year for Chiefs.
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: Go on.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: I know last year, perfect year for them to go nuts.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: They ain't got it. I don't think they got it.
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: All those expectations.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: But we're gonna be sitting here a year from now
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: and like the Chiefs, the Super Bowl game, a year from.
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: All our best. If that happens, they're here again.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: They did it again.
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: That's gonna that's gonna Really, I don't think it's gonna
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: happen this year.
- 1:12:54Speaker 7: I was I was hoping to hit my futures player,
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: milestone plump. I don't even care what you gotta say.
- 1:13:00Speaker 7: We got an a all right? Hey, hey, Dereck Henry
- 1:13:03Speaker 7: ten plus rushing touchdowns minus six hundred conservative, Yes, you
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: could go for twelve plus at minus two seventy, but
- 1:13:10Speaker 7: I'm gonna go at ten plus. Last time Dereck Henry
- 1:13:13Speaker 7: didn't hit ten plus rushing touchdowns two thy seventeen years?
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: Makes you think who was blocking for him that year?
