A beloved teacher and basketball coach, Sheremy Gwenette Dillard, was tragically stabbed to death at age 57—her boyfriend, Rickey Harper, now faces first-degree murder charges. Harper, arrested in Pennsylvania, appeared in court with no bail granted and a September 17th hearing ahead. Dillard’s legacy lives on through a new scholarship fund supporting female Hillside High graduates headed to HBCUs for education and coaching careers.
