Specifically, coffee and tea. Luna: Oh, perfect. I love coffee. Ethiopian coffee is famous. Lucas: Exactly. So let's start with the word for coffee. It's ቡና. Luna: ቡና. Lucas: Great. ቡና. Tea is ሻይ. Luna: ሻይ. Lucas: Now, if you want to say 'I want coffee', you say ቡና እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: ቡና እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Perfect. And 'I want tea' is ሻይ እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: ሻይ እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Excellent. Now, let's practice a question: 'Do you drink coffee?' — ቡና ይጠጣሉ? Luna: ቡና ይጠጣሉ? Lucas: And 'Do you drink tea?' — ሻይ ይጠጣሉ? Luna: ሻይ ይጠጣሉ? That's a bit longer. Lucas: You've got it. Let's put it together in a little scene. Imagine you're at a café. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: You walk in and the server asks: ቡና ይጠጣሉ? ሻይ ይጠጣሉ? Luna: And I say: ቡና እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Perfect. Or if you want tea: ሻይ እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: I think I'd go with coffee today. ቡና እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Good choice.
