- 1:48Speaker 2: rush me, do not rush. A good time. What are
- 1:51Speaker 2: you drinking?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Well, earlier I had some Thai iced tea. It's National
- 1:57Speaker 3: Girlfriend's Day as we're recording this, and uh so yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 3: I got my lady some Thai food and we got
- 2:03Speaker 3: some Thai iced tea. But right now a little after
- 2:06Speaker 3: dinner snack is some high quality h two.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Oh wow, Well I'm drinking high quality issue and I'm
- 2:13Speaker 2: also drinking what do they just a Lacroix sparkling water
- 2:19Speaker 2: guava Salpaolo.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Oh lovely.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It looks like the red and green fruits together that
- 2:28Speaker 2: it sounds like watermelon. But whatever it is, it is
- 2:31Speaker 2: fucking delicious.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Probably guava, mm hmm. It's very good from Brazil.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Brazil, well it is. It is supposed to taste like
- 2:40Speaker 2: it's a Brazil, but it's probably actually from Let's see,
- 2:43Speaker 2: these are a manufacturer thing on here. It's so damn
- 2:46Speaker 2: cold and it's so like moist like or what is
- 2:51Speaker 2: the precipitation whatever it's called that I can't I can't
- 2:54Speaker 2: find the location. Where's it? Where is the manufacturer?
- 2:59Speaker 3: Looking at a review you lacross Brazil.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I can't find it either way. It is delicious. But
- 3:09Speaker 2: while he's looking it up, quick little housekeeping. Other than
- 3:12Speaker 2: the socials, thank you all free support so far. Shout
- 3:18Speaker 2: out to hermis Austender who was on last week, right
- 3:22Speaker 2: or not a couple of weeks ago? Excuse me for
- 3:24Speaker 2: weeks at this point. At this point, we're recording a
- 3:26Speaker 2: little bithead of time. Uh so they were on episode
- 3:28Speaker 2: of one six. Nice, appreciate them coming on. If we
- 3:31Speaker 2: go check that one out. Go also go on their
- 3:33Speaker 2: socials and check out that stuff. Also go check out
- 3:35Speaker 2: their podcast, it's called a butt podcasts. Yeah. Oh, also
- 3:42Speaker 2: check out my buddy ched first Gen Gamers podcast as
- 3:47Speaker 2: metricalple weeks ago. They had some psycholguilties the last couple
- 3:50Speaker 2: of months, but they got it all settled. Now they have
- 3:51Speaker 2: podcasts coming out pretty frequently at this point. I also
- 3:55Speaker 2: say tuned for yours Chilly to go on there at
- 3:57Speaker 2: some point as well, discuss what don't know what and
- 4:00Speaker 2: I yell each other butts in the video game related.
- 4:02Speaker 3: The crossovers, Yeah, the crossover.
- 4:04Speaker 2: The crossover universe.
- 4:06Speaker 3: God h apparently apparently this one guy said that he
- 4:12Speaker 3: doesn't get the hype. Apparently, it's just flavored water in
- 4:15Speaker 3: a can. What's the big deal. It's like, news flash, genius.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Isn't that all of them?
- 4:18Speaker 3: That's what you got, That's what you paid for. That's
- 4:22Speaker 3: what it is.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I used to I used to. No, I think it's
- 4:26Speaker 2: actually pretty damn good. I used to hate flavored water.
- 4:30Speaker 2: But because like I quit drinking soda pretty frequently. I
- 4:34Speaker 2: you know, you get bored of coffee and water pretty fast.
- 4:37Speaker 2: And I don't know, man, some of these, some of
- 4:39Speaker 2: these like flavored waters, man, they just hit to the
- 4:42Speaker 2: point where like like it's like, I mean, not not
- 4:45Speaker 2: that are bad for you, but like, oh, hey, you
- 4:46Speaker 2: know I should probably actually drink some actual water. Yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 2: that's neither me.
- 4:53Speaker 3: When you drink too many of La Croix, regular water,
- 4:56Speaker 3: taste taste a little different, m you know, subtleties. Anyway,
- 5:02Speaker 3: enough about water, Chuck, Let's get to work.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Wait, we're no, we're supposed to be chilling here, man,
- 5:09Speaker 2: Oh what I meant? Anyway, Yes, so we're gonna tend
- 5:14Speaker 2: to do a two partner here kind of. We're not
- 5:16Speaker 2: gonna go too crazy or anything like that. At this point,
- 5:18Speaker 2: Patrick now here's me say two part Now he was
- 5:20Speaker 2: about to go, why didn't you tell me it's just
- 5:22Speaker 2: a two partner?
- 5:24Speaker 3: Why don't you tell me?
- 5:27Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie it really quick, really quick. I
- 5:30Speaker 2: just gotta say this. I'm still working on and think
- 5:32Speaker 2: you at this point, if you listen at this point,
- 5:34Speaker 2: go back into the SUP review, because there's obviously a
- 5:36Speaker 2: reason we're doing that. By this point, the Super Reviews
- 5:39Speaker 2: of the Poolverine is out. I'm still in the process
- 5:44Speaker 2: of editing that because I can't stop laughing, and there's
- 5:50Speaker 2: certain parts where you and I can't definitely I mean
- 5:52Speaker 2: definitely by the worry too close to the mic, or
- 5:54Speaker 2: we just over over enunciate certain things, so it's like,
- 5:59Speaker 2: oh my god, damn, why don't you tell me? Why
- 6:03Speaker 2: don't you tell me about my volume levels?
- 6:06Speaker 3: One day we'll figure out how to do this ship
- 6:08Speaker 3: we're I think we're doing just fine. I think we're
- 6:11Speaker 3: doing great, and we're doing we're doing just fine.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Nice you we're gonna talk about Robert Downey Jr.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Who isn't that isn't that Iron Man.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Collar over old tie up? While we're talking about Robert.
- 6:34Speaker 3: What I gotta turn my volume up in my headphones here,
- 6:37Speaker 3: just got the all right, this tune up.
- 6:42Speaker 4: The danne ive been stretch.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Any Jesus Christ anyway, Oh my god, right, they got
- 7:13Speaker 3: that out of the way. Yes, everybody expect that to happen.
- 7:19Speaker 2: So, yes, we are talking about a certain Academy Award winner.
- 7:24Speaker 2: If you live under a rock by now, no sou
- 7:28Speaker 2: by this point when this comes out, this will be
- 7:30Speaker 2: two weeks after, two three weeks after, so yes, right
- 7:34Speaker 2: to it. From the time of recording this previous weekend,
- 7:38Speaker 2: a little thing occurred called San Diego Comic Con. Now,
- 7:42Speaker 2: if you know anything about San Diego Comic Con, in
- 7:43Speaker 2: the last few years or actually before that, it used
- 7:46Speaker 2: to be the thing where all the big movie series
- 7:48Speaker 2: would announced every anything and everything, just like this podcast. However,
- 7:53Speaker 2: since the pandemic and things like that. Actually even before
- 7:56Speaker 2: the pandemic kind of it was kind of slowing down.
- 7:58Speaker 2: They weren't really doing the big things anyway. More like Disney.
- 8:01Speaker 2: They have their own event.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Now other Disney plus Con.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Or D twenty three. Sorry Disney adult jackass here, not
- 8:10Speaker 2: that we're jackasses, I mean some of us can be,
- 8:13Speaker 2: I know. Anyway, they have an event called D twenty three.
- 8:17Speaker 2: That's where they had lounch a lot of their stuff.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Now some of the ones will just announce it on
- 8:21Speaker 2: their social media or because okay for example, you know,
- 8:25Speaker 2: just like some of like those cons were essentially if
- 8:26Speaker 2: they're not the ones making the most money, or they're
- 8:29Speaker 2: not making money throughout the entire thing, they're not really
- 8:32Speaker 2: gonna do it. For example, like I don't know if
- 8:34Speaker 2: you ever heard of I mean, so many kids kids here,
- 8:38Speaker 2: what was that? What was that thing called that? Every year?
- 8:40Speaker 2: He was a E four? But the hell was it
- 8:42Speaker 2: called three? E three? Jesus see that that's.
- 8:45Speaker 3: A three and G four?
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah? E three?
- 8:47Speaker 3: Uh?
- 8:47Speaker 2: You know was the big gaming the event every year?
- 8:49Speaker 2: And that's dead and comic cons had issues of us
- 8:53Speaker 2: couple years anyways. So yes, So it's been known for
- 8:57Speaker 2: a while that for Marbles to Make Universe that the
- 9:00Speaker 2: big the big Baddie was supposed to be KINGE Cain
- 9:03Speaker 2: the Conqueror played by one Jonathan Majors. That's not happening anymore.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you could say that the switch plans switch LANs.
- 9:14Speaker 2: So long story short, he got into some legal trouble,
- 9:18Speaker 2: was acquitted in a couple of charts probably put this.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I don't know the full scoop I was reading, just
- 9:23Speaker 2: trying to remember allegedly, Well, yeah, there were multiple charges
- 9:29Speaker 2: against him, and the more harranous or haineous charges. Haineous
- 9:34Speaker 2: charges were. He was acquitted on Oliver, he was charged
- 9:37Speaker 2: with some other stuff. Does look like he'll do any
- 9:39Speaker 2: jail time, probably would. So anyway, long story short, Marvel
- 9:42Speaker 2: moved on. They fired him, and it has a big
- 9:46Speaker 2: ad firm. They're getting rid of Kine, but it looks
- 9:48Speaker 2: like they are because because uh, they announced that they're
- 9:52Speaker 2: going to do They have two Avengers films coming out,
- 9:55Speaker 2: which has been announced forever but keeps getting pushed back delayed. Also,
- 10:00Speaker 2: so this is now technically the third name change for
- 10:03Speaker 2: both movies, because first it was Avengers five to six.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Then it was Avenger's Kane Dynasty and Avenger Secret Wars,
- 10:10Speaker 2: which actually secondly it's not it's not the total name change.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And now it's Avenger Secret Wars which comes out, which
- 10:14Speaker 2: secondly is Adventure six, which comes out twenty twenty seven,
- 10:16Speaker 2: but in twenty twenty six a movie called Avengers Doomsday
- 10:19Speaker 2: will come out. And also if you know anything about
- 10:23Speaker 2: the Marvel Cinema Universe. They have been going through production
- 10:26Speaker 2: hell because it said as Deadpools set up with police scopes, Moether, congratulations, Wolverine,
- 10:30Speaker 2: You're entered at a walle point. So they brought out
- 10:35Speaker 2: the Russo brothers, the guys who were directed four movies
- 10:38Speaker 2: all made a gazillion dollars, including the Endgame with made
- 10:40Speaker 2: like five gazillion dollars, which people were shocked by because
- 10:43Speaker 2: there's a little report now even a month ago that
- 10:46Speaker 2: said that Marvel said no to them because they had
- 10:48Speaker 2: made a pitch, and they said no. I guess obviously
- 10:49Speaker 2: that was wrong. And then Doctor Duom, a bunch of
- 10:52Speaker 2: doctor dums came out, and then of course they said,
- 10:54Speaker 2: we're going to show you the real Doctor Doom. And
- 10:56Speaker 2: then real Doctor Doom came out and and honestly true
- 10:59Speaker 2: like it's me Austin style, which true higher power style
- 11:09Speaker 2: comes out, takes a mask off, and it's Robert Downey Jr.
- 11:12Speaker 2: To which, of course six thousand people in the face.
- 11:16Speaker 2: If you're a nerd, deal with this means Hall aged popped,
- 11:19Speaker 2: went wild, lost their shit, the internet exploded. What could
- 11:22Speaker 2: it mean? And as he said, new mask, same task,
- 11:28Speaker 2: What does that mean, And then of course the next
- 11:30Speaker 2: day after everything settled, the internet was I'm the same divided.
- 11:35Speaker 2: You could say that because well, we'll get to in
- 11:38Speaker 2: a second. But anyway, I before I ask you what
- 11:42Speaker 2: you're I kind of knew this might happen. This was
- 11:44Speaker 2: reported about the month ago. It was potentially happening. It
- 11:47Speaker 2: was because all of a sudden the Rooster Brothers said
- 11:50Speaker 2: it was announced they weren't going to do the movies,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and then out of nowhere it was nope, they got
- 11:54Speaker 2: a deal done, and it's like, wait what And then
- 11:56Speaker 2: a wat that steam report that said, well Robert Downey
- 11:58Speaker 2: Junior was potentially thought of as playing doctor doing which
- 12:01Speaker 2: deeviyone goes, well, that makes no sense because he's Iron Man,
- 12:05Speaker 2: and well here we are, okay, so blause, how do
- 12:10Speaker 2: you feel?
- 12:12Speaker 3: I think it's a great choice. And here's why, because
- 12:15Speaker 3: a lot of people were like, well, isn't your Iron Man?
- 12:17Speaker 3: Well yeah, but when you talk about multiverse fuckery, there's
- 12:23Speaker 3: a lot of possibilities if you're talking about the multitude
- 12:25Speaker 3: inous realities that could compromise or comprise our multiverse, so
- 12:29Speaker 3: to speak. And there's actually a bit of precedence for
- 12:33Speaker 3: iron Man being Doctor Doom or vice versa in comics
- 12:38Speaker 3: shout out to Comics explained for doing a little video
- 12:40Speaker 3: on it.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I need to watch it. I've seen I know you've
- 12:44Speaker 2: You've told me to watch it, and I've seen other
- 12:46Speaker 2: channel other channels mentioned the comics explained, I need to.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Watch comics explain. Yeah, I mean he does great, great work,
- 12:53Speaker 3: but I'll do I'll send you a quick little link
- 12:56Speaker 3: ski for what I'm talking about. Specifically, basically to summarize,
- 13:04Speaker 3: you know, doctor Doom and Read Richards infamously, you know,
- 13:08Speaker 3: met each other in college, and you know, Read Richards
- 13:11Speaker 3: was always smarter than doctor Doom, and Aadi Yadi became
- 13:15Speaker 3: this grudge, big grudging thing. But what if there was
- 13:18Speaker 3: a reality where instead of Read Richards, it was Tony
- 13:20Speaker 3: Stark in Doctor Doom's college dorm room, his.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Roommate college experiment. Not that kind of experiment.
- 13:35Speaker 3: No, Basically, the idea was that Doom was so jealous
- 13:39Speaker 3: of Tony Stark's you know, wealthy upbringing and stuff, he
- 13:43Speaker 3: tricked Tony Stark into helping him build this machine and
- 13:47Speaker 3: it allowed him to switch consciousnesses with Tony Stark and
- 13:52Speaker 3: live in Tony Stark's body, and you know, Tony Stark
- 13:56Speaker 3: was living in doctor Doom's body or Victor Ron Doom's body,
- 13:59Speaker 3: and you know, basically they were the same people, but uh,
- 14:03Speaker 3: you know, the same kind of motives, the same kind
- 14:05Speaker 3: of moral compasses. But Tony Stark, you know, got the
- 14:11Speaker 3: fast track to being a good guy because he ended
- 14:13Speaker 3: up having no money in the body of doctor Doom.
- 14:16Speaker 3: In the life of Doctor Doom, the Victor von douoam
- 14:18Speaker 3: at that point he became a doctor late, but that's
- 14:19Speaker 3: not upside the point. And then obviously Victor von Doom,
- 14:22Speaker 3: with the access and affluence of Tony Stark, you know,
- 14:27Speaker 3: became this maniacal war mongering guy, and so like there's
- 14:33Speaker 3: precedence for this in the comics, right, so maybe we're
- 14:36Speaker 3: gonna be introduced to a reality where, you know, at
- 14:40Speaker 3: the end of that comic, h Tony Stark in the
- 14:43Speaker 3: body of doctor Doom with his own like iron man
- 14:46Speaker 3: colored Doctor Doom outfit and all this shit. He ended
- 14:48Speaker 3: up winning. He ended up beating Doom and Tony Stark's body.
- 14:52Speaker 3: It's very confusing, very comvoluted, but you know, we from
- 14:55Speaker 3: the comics anyway, But you know, like what if we're
- 14:59Speaker 3: in introduced to a world where that never happened. What
- 15:01Speaker 3: if Doom in the body of Tony Stark won you
- 15:05Speaker 3: know what I mean? That could be something they do,
- 15:07Speaker 3: It could be something completely different. What if Tony Stark
- 15:10Speaker 3: was just Tony Stark and like you know, following the
- 15:14Speaker 3: plots of the Avengers movies, right, Like what if instead
- 15:18Speaker 3: of trying to create Ultron to protect the world, what
- 15:22Speaker 3: if he took it about himself to be like to
- 15:24Speaker 3: protect it by ruling it with an iron fist, no
- 15:27Speaker 3: pun intended, but like what you know, what if? And
- 15:30Speaker 3: it Like the thing I love about the choice is
- 15:34Speaker 3: that it's intriguing, you know what I mean, It's intriguing
- 15:37Speaker 3: and it gets you interested, right if you think about it,
- 15:43Speaker 3: What is really separating Tony Stark in Doom? Right aside
- 15:48Speaker 3: from Doom's propensity for like magic, which is you know,
- 15:51Speaker 3: already been introduced to the MCU.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I mean it has it, but like on a ground
- 15:57Speaker 2: like but when it's there, it's like they don't just
- 15:59Speaker 2: try away.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Right, it's I mean off for doctor Strange got introduced,
- 16:04Speaker 3: it wasn't like it was not there was no magic
- 16:07Speaker 3: really besides like low Ki's magic, right, right, But like
- 16:11Speaker 3: what what differentiates the two characters not a whole lot
- 16:15Speaker 3: besides their moral alignment. You know, if Tony Stark can
- 16:19Speaker 3: build a suit and has all this money, like he
- 16:22Speaker 3: could run a small country, he could, you know, he
- 16:25Speaker 3: could really kind of take things into his own hands
- 16:29Speaker 3: and like undermine governments and shit. He doesn't because he's
- 16:32Speaker 3: a good person, right, and he's had his his plot
- 16:37Speaker 3: his path to get there.
- 16:38Speaker 2: But like.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Anybody with that level of intellect and ability to like
- 16:44Speaker 3: problem solve, and we saw this in like Iron Man
- 16:46Speaker 3: three when he was like kind of had everything taken
- 16:48Speaker 3: away from him, but he was given that purpose of like, Okay,
- 16:51Speaker 3: now I'm going to I'm motivated to get back at
- 16:54Speaker 3: this one person. And he did everything in his power
- 16:56Speaker 3: to like get back to get back to his above
- 17:00Speaker 3: and unleash the sus and Alicia. We saw that, And
- 17:03Speaker 3: so what if he was motivated to just like take
- 17:06Speaker 3: over the fucking world. You know, I'm interested to see
- 17:08Speaker 3: what happens. And then you have the whole idea of
- 17:13Speaker 3: like Pedro Pascal'srie Richards versus Downey Junior as doctor Doom. Oh,
- 17:18Speaker 3: that's it's gonna be good. It's gonna be good. You know. There.
- 17:22Speaker 3: They could have done a lot, they could have found
- 17:24Speaker 3: another actor completely, but like the choice of bringing RDJ
- 17:27Speaker 3: back in a completely different role, it begs the question, well,
- 17:31Speaker 3: how do we get there? Was he still Iron Man
- 17:33Speaker 3: and became this or is this a different, different world
- 17:38Speaker 3: entirely where he never went down that path? I don't know.
- 17:41Speaker 3: That's my take. I'm interested and I want to see
- 17:43Speaker 3: what they do with it. That's all I got to say.
- 17:47Speaker 2: So I all in the same category as you. I
- 17:50Speaker 2: am all for this. I understand where probably is okay.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I understand where the people who don't know comics. I
- 18:04Speaker 2: understand that people who are just casual movie people go,
- 18:07Speaker 2: wait a minute. This is the guy who essentially we
- 18:09Speaker 2: all know started this franchise. This is the guy who
- 18:11Speaker 2: was literally the facing entire franchise. Why I saw this.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I saw this. This is like and I literally saw
- 18:16Speaker 2: this on the social maze. This is like if Luke
- 18:18Speaker 2: Skywalker died, came and then Mark Hamill came back as
- 18:22Speaker 2: a guy in the level of Vader and is a
- 18:26Speaker 2: complete different person. This is just weird to me, and
- 18:28Speaker 2: nothing which is fair, because that's what's gonna happen because
- 18:32Speaker 2: you know what's gonna happen, or how I put this,
- 18:35Speaker 2: Some people are gonna ask that. But here's the here's
- 18:37Speaker 2: the point. Trying to make the movie going audience today
- 18:42Speaker 2: is a lot smarter than it was, not let alone
- 18:44Speaker 2: fifteen years ago, let alone from like a year ago. Okay,
- 18:48Speaker 2: because for example, when I mean, obviously we spoiler move's
- 18:53Speaker 2: been out for a while, but like when No Way
- 18:55Speaker 2: Home came out, no one had to be no one
- 18:57Speaker 2: had to be explained to about all the spider Okay,
- 19:02Speaker 2: my wife love her to death. She didn't need to
- 19:04Speaker 2: hear the whole like wait, like, wait, what's Toby Maguire's
- 19:06Speaker 2: because everyone knows Wire's Spider Man. Everyone knows Andrew gar
- 19:10Speaker 2: because everyone knows. Oh, those are different things, those are
- 19:12Speaker 2: different movies and all that stuff. Right. The reason I'm
- 19:16Speaker 2: very excited for this too is because it's like that,
- 19:20Speaker 2: like you don't have to explain these things of people
- 19:23Speaker 2: as much as you used to. Now obviously, yeah it
- 19:24Speaker 2: was like it was five years ago. Yeah it was
- 19:27Speaker 2: fifteen years ago. Oh my god. But like this is
- 19:30Speaker 2: one of those things where and here's the point I've
- 19:32Speaker 2: made to a buddy of mine. Okay, people are like,
- 19:35Speaker 2: why can't why couldn't they just do the old school
- 19:37Speaker 2: way of Doctor Doom you at with a Fantastic four.
- 19:40Speaker 2: It's just I'm not saying just some guy, but it's
- 19:43Speaker 2: just some guy that knows a different cast. You just
- 19:45Speaker 2: do a classic Victor von Doom story. You want to
- 19:47Speaker 2: know why? And yes, I understand it wasn't with Kevin
- 19:50Speaker 2: FIGI Actually that's not true. Part of it was with
- 19:52Speaker 2: Kevin Figy a little bit. They have tried Doctor Doom
- 19:56Speaker 2: technically three times. It has not worked three times.
- 20:02Speaker 3: And then and there are three times.
- 20:04Speaker 2: So technically you have the John you have the Chris S.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Evans Fantastic Storm, you have the Michael B. Jordan fantastic
- 20:11Speaker 2: Folk Storm, and then you have that really really, really
- 20:14Speaker 2: crappy looking version from the early nineties.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Oh okay, fair enough. What I'm trying to say is
- 20:20Speaker 3: the Dark Ages, the Dark Ages.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Even even when Batman was out, it was still the
- 20:24Speaker 2: dark agest because like, really, like what really in the nineties,
- 20:26Speaker 2: the only good supermovies I mean, if you I mean,
- 20:28Speaker 2: if you don't come blake his play was like the
- 20:29Speaker 2: late nineties was the Batman movies and people, you know,
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm not the biggest fan of them, just to the
- 20:34Speaker 2: franchise in general, but like, people really don't talk enough
- 20:37Speaker 2: about giving the praise to the teenage Mutanta turtle movies.
- 20:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna say that right now. True you and you,
- 20:42Speaker 2: actually I watched those movies a lot of your house
- 20:44Speaker 2: cheers to the turtles, cheers the drink drinking turtles. Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 2: I remember I watched that movie your house a couple
- 20:49Speaker 2: of times. I remember that for a fact.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I don't remember even seeing those movies.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I remember watching me in your living room, swear to
- 20:55Speaker 2: God or do you you're you're in the movie that
- 20:58Speaker 2: you and I for some reason why to my house
- 21:00Speaker 2: Charlie the Jaguar?
- 21:03Speaker 3: What the fuck is Charlie the Jaguar?
- 21:06Speaker 2: It was something like national geographic movie like they made,
- 21:10Speaker 2: but they try to put a story in between to
- 21:12Speaker 2: like the kids actually get to watch something about jaguars
- 21:15Speaker 2: and learn about jaguars. And I remember.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I'm not shuing the fuck is Charlie the Jaguar? No,
- 21:21Speaker 3: that's a weird Facebook page for a cat the Jaguar.
- 21:26Speaker 2: It was not great. I remember that because.
- 21:28Speaker 3: The jaguar, Dude, I think you're having some Mendela effects.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Ship anyway, moving on, moving on, but also, what the
- 21:39Speaker 2: fuck they have you talk riding the classic Victor von
- 21:42Speaker 2: Doom thing multiple times and it has not worked. Yes,
- 21:48Speaker 2: we did our review of Deadpool Wolverine. We also kind
- 21:51Speaker 2: of did a little I don't know, not funeral, a
- 21:54Speaker 2: little homage if you will, to the Fox Marvel universe,
- 21:57Speaker 2: which is now done. Okay, movie, I'm sorry, I don't
- 22:02Speaker 2: know why I came to mind. I remember specifically watched
- 22:05Speaker 2: it one night at your house and we both were like,
- 22:07Speaker 2: this is terrible. Though we were both it was that classic,
- 22:10Speaker 2: we were both so fucking lazy, we do want to
- 22:11Speaker 2: get off the couch, so we both went to bed.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Any what the fuck nineteen ninety six? Yeah, that's about right.
- 22:20Speaker 3: The Jaguar. Two frenchmen must go to South America. I
- 22:25Speaker 3: go bro, I'm sorry, Led Jaguar, l Jaguar.
- 22:31Speaker 2: The Jaguar. The Cheetah. It was a cat.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Charlie the Cheetah sounds more like I think it.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Might be Charlie the Cheetah. Excuse me for oh God.
- 22:41Speaker 3: All dogs go to heaven.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Oh I found it, Charlie the Cheetah.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I found it the Cheetah King Animal Stories Charlie the Cheetah.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Oh my god? Was that like all cartoony and ship?
- 22:53Speaker 2: I think part part of it I remember, no part
- 22:55Speaker 2: of it was cartoony. Part of it was there was
- 22:56Speaker 2: like live action. I think that the story part was cartoony.
- 23:00Speaker 3: What the fuck? I don't know why?
- 23:02Speaker 2: Just keep in my head?
- 23:04Speaker 3: What is the English language plot outlined for Charlie the Cheetah?
- 23:07Speaker 3: IMDb answers. Someone helped me.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Fuck Robert Downey. We're talking Charlie the Cheetah.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Anyway, Ultimate Baby Einstein's were wiki?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Was it like a weird sock puppet thing?
- 23:23Speaker 3: I don't it's been so Oh my god, I'm sorry.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 23:26Speaker 2: It's okay, I got you.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Why don't I remember?
- 23:30Speaker 2: Because it was so bad we barely watched it.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Was it just called Cheetah from Disney?
- 23:36Speaker 2: I know what? Fuck it?
- 23:37Speaker 3: Fucking we're gonna get lost.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Why didn't you told me about Charlie the Cheetah anyway?
- 23:44Speaker 3: The government doesn't want chet so as I'm a triggered.
- 23:51Speaker 2: First they tried it multiple times, technical twice. I don't
- 23:54Speaker 2: know if the early early one was them. I'm I'm
- 23:56Speaker 2: gonna super probably had something to do with them, but anyway,
- 24:00Speaker 2: it hasn't worked. You can say what you want about
- 24:03Speaker 2: the Fox universe, yes, but you know what, for every
- 24:06Speaker 2: for every uh what Dark Phoenix, for every Last Stand,
- 24:10Speaker 2: you had your original X Men, you had your Deadpools,
- 24:12Speaker 2: and you have your Days of Future Past movies. You
- 24:15Speaker 2: had your logans essentially, honestly, if anything, they were fit
- 24:19Speaker 2: if you if you take all the movies together, they're
- 24:21Speaker 2: about fifty to fifty almost more. I see sixty to
- 24:24Speaker 2: forty six Fox. Yeah, yeah, sixty sixty bad, forty good,
- 24:28Speaker 2: but the forty good are very good.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Movies, you know. And I I've heard this take on
- 24:33Speaker 3: there with the Fantastic Four movies from Fox is that
- 24:36Speaker 3: the tone is completely different from the other movies. It
- 24:39Speaker 3: was way more campy, it was more comical. And then
- 24:44Speaker 3: you have Doctor Doom and like, if we talk about
- 24:47Speaker 3: Doctor dooman's a character. It's like this dude like rules
- 24:52Speaker 3: the world from his fucking castle in a country that
- 24:54Speaker 3: nobody can gain access to. You want to talk about Wakanda, Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 3: Wakanda is like hidden the ship, but Doctor Do is like, yeah,
- 25:00Speaker 3: I'm right here, come fuck with me. You know what
- 25:02Speaker 3: I mean, he has mastery of these technologies to the
- 25:05Speaker 3: point where all of his doom bots so to speak,
- 25:07Speaker 3: are just as powerful as he is, but are like
- 25:09Speaker 3: programmed to follow his every word. He has access to
- 25:12Speaker 3: magic and like all this shit, and he blends the two.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I think the biggest downfall of all these movies is that,
- 25:18Speaker 3: like they've not been able to see Doom to fruition.
- 25:21Speaker 3: He's always just served as like the villain for this
- 25:23Speaker 3: one movie, you know what I mean, and then he's
- 25:25Speaker 3: been defeated and then what nothing right?
- 25:27Speaker 2: But like it's like that, Yeah, here's the one. Here's
- 25:31Speaker 2: the one critique I have. Okay, and I'm gonna get
- 25:35Speaker 2: to my iron man, my downy reason for Cassie here
- 25:37Speaker 2: in a second. I'm just saying why I don't think
- 25:40Speaker 2: they should do the cat with the classic Doom Store whatever. Right.
- 25:45Speaker 2: The one concern I have with this though, Okay, as
- 25:50Speaker 2: you were saying, you don't need to be a comic
- 25:53Speaker 2: book nerd to know this, You don't need to be
- 25:55Speaker 2: a geeks and general to know this. Doctor Doom is
- 25:59Speaker 2: one of those properties, not just one of those properties
- 26:04Speaker 2: that he deserves he is, it's not even deserves he
- 26:07Speaker 2: is in that conversation with the Jokers, with the Thanoses,
- 26:11Speaker 2: with the Lex Luthors. He is in He is a
- 26:14Speaker 2: omega literally essentially Tier one a villain. The one concern
- 26:21Speaker 2: I have here is based on what we know right now.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Essentially it just sounds like we're gonna have these two
- 26:29Speaker 2: Avengers movies and he's dead. The problem I have with
- 26:35Speaker 2: that is now now a devil's advocate. Well, Thanos wasn't
- 26:39Speaker 2: in every single movie Lean up to Endgame, in If anymore. Yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 2: but in the third movie Avengers or fourth, fifthically fifth
- 26:46Speaker 2: movie Avengers, he was shown the entire world. Again. I didn't,
- 26:50Speaker 2: I wasn't. I'm not a big comic book guy, but
- 26:52Speaker 2: I know I know who the fuck Fanos was. And
- 26:54Speaker 2: at the end of one of the post credits roll
- 26:56Speaker 2: and you Thanos fucking showed up.
- 26:59Speaker 3: What happened?
- 27:00Speaker 2: Fucking pop because we knew shit hit the fan And
- 27:03Speaker 2: there were and for years, from twenty eleven to twelve,
- 27:06Speaker 2: all the way twenty nineteen, there were those bread crumbs.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Those seasons are like, Okay, he's coming. You know, we
- 27:10Speaker 2: all in the Guards of the Galaxy. What happens he
- 27:13Speaker 2: finds it? Call it fine? I'll do it myself. Oh shit,
- 27:16Speaker 2: here we go. Shit's about to hit or not not
- 27:19Speaker 2: not guards the galaxy, guards the galaxy he was in.
- 27:21Speaker 2: But like there was a different before that. There's a
- 27:22Speaker 2: proscretcy where he says final to it myself. You have
- 27:25Speaker 2: all these movies lean up to it. And of course
- 27:27Speaker 2: when if Fidny Wark came, what happened, Shit just hit
- 27:29Speaker 2: those That's why I don't call if any more. If
- 27:32Speaker 2: any work, I call it Marvel, I call it. I
- 27:34Speaker 2: call it Fanos the movie because he just fucks everyone up.
- 27:39Speaker 2: And then endgame is a Vengders endgame because then it's
- 27:42Speaker 2: the Avengers against Stanos. But I just that's the one
- 27:46Speaker 2: thing I'm worried about is because essentially, instead of a
- 27:49Speaker 2: seven year, seven year storyline, okay, for example about the
- 27:53Speaker 2: wrestling a little bit all right, only for a half
- 27:55Speaker 2: a few years ago away, Okay, cool, you're back, like
- 27:57Speaker 2: with the blood line, been a story that to make
- 27:59Speaker 2: that same and I'll be that same joke if I
- 28:02Speaker 2: get if I get, if I get that the Scooper
- 28:04Speaker 2: Joe Rogan contract, I'll be doing that same joke. Then
- 28:07Speaker 2: might as well trademarket. But like the Bloodline story. It's
- 28:13Speaker 2: been it's crazy to say it, but because it's so good,
- 28:16Speaker 2: it doesn't feel like it's dragging. It's been going on
- 28:18Speaker 2: since the pandemic, and sure had there been some parts
- 28:22Speaker 2: where it's like, okay, kind of dragging on here, yes,
- 28:26Speaker 2: but you know what, at certain points, so they they
- 28:29Speaker 2: they do something to spice it up, or they introduce
- 28:31Speaker 2: a new they introduce someone new, they put they pull
- 28:34Speaker 2: someone out or pull and it gives it that new
- 28:37Speaker 2: It gives it that new gravitab like, oh, I have
- 28:39Speaker 2: to keep watching and that's what's good and that's what
- 28:41Speaker 2: this is. But like now it's like with this, it's
- 28:43Speaker 2: like I'm just I just I. Essentially the point trying
- 28:45Speaker 2: to make is I don't hope they essentially don't try
- 28:47Speaker 2: to shove seven years worth of lead up into the
- 28:52Speaker 2: movies because here's the thing, this hasn't been confirmed or
- 28:54Speaker 2: anything like that. You cannot tell me he's not appearing
- 28:57Speaker 2: fantastic for I don't think he's right well, because they
- 29:01Speaker 2: started filming two days before and then they announced his casside,
- 29:06Speaker 2: So he's just he's not gonna be in the movie
- 29:09Speaker 2: like like a like a main thing he'll just be
- 29:11Speaker 2: He'll be a post credit But like I to me, like,
- 29:15Speaker 2: I just hope that's the one thing, because I'm like,
- 29:16Speaker 2: this is Doctor Doom, Like, this is a guy who
- 29:19Speaker 2: was like like, by the way, I think when it
- 29:20Speaker 2: comes to the event Doomsday, I think it's literally just
- 29:23Speaker 2: gonna be him, just fucking met Like literally, let's talk
- 29:27Speaker 2: about that one quick thing. There needs to be like
- 29:29Speaker 2: essentially a deadpool of who is dying?
- 29:33Speaker 3: Right, And this this is this is my thinking, right
- 29:37Speaker 3: because correct me if I'm wrong. The order is Secret
- 29:40Speaker 3: Wars than Doomsday.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Right, No, it's Doomsday then Secret Wars.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Oh okay, well then that that explains it, right, Doomsday.
- 29:47Speaker 3: I think you're right. I think Doomsday is going to
- 29:49Speaker 3: be him kind of a certing dominion. But the name
- 29:54Speaker 3: Secret Wars, and I went into this in the last
- 29:56Speaker 3: episode when we're talking about Doctor Doom Wars itself has
- 30:01Speaker 3: meant a lot of things in Marvel comics. There's been
- 30:04Speaker 3: a lot of different iterations of Secret Wars, right, but
- 30:08Speaker 3: the latest Secret Wars in the comics, especially when it
- 30:12Speaker 3: concerns Doctor Doom, was incredible because what I'm assuming is
- 30:17Speaker 3: going to happen fantastic four, We're going to be introduced
- 30:21Speaker 3: to this idea of incursions. Do you know what incursions are?
- 30:25Speaker 3: God damn it? You find all right?
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yes?
- 30:31Speaker 2: Or you refresh my memory, because I know they've discussed
- 30:33Speaker 2: it in Loki. Technically in Deadpool they discussed it.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Incursions, right, yeah, incursions and Marvel comics there was this
- 30:42Speaker 3: thing called an incursion where realities would kind of collide
- 30:47Speaker 3: together and heroes on one Earth were forced with either
- 30:51Speaker 3: destroying the other Earth or evacuating their planet. But if
- 30:55Speaker 3: these planets collided, both the universes would be wiped out,
- 30:59Speaker 3: and so the story kind of culminated, and the Fantastic
- 31:02Speaker 3: Four were at the in the pivotal role in kind
- 31:08Speaker 3: of figuring out how to do this, where they built
- 31:09Speaker 3: this machine to try to like survive past the incursion,
- 31:13Speaker 3: and there was this really iconic scene which I hope
- 31:15Speaker 3: we get kind of emulated in the movie, whereas Sue Storm,
- 31:19Speaker 3: the Invisible Woman, was literally creating a force field to
- 31:23Speaker 3: try and hold these two universes apart or keep them
- 31:26Speaker 3: from colliding, which is just insane levels of power. I'm
- 31:29Speaker 3: so excited for the Fantastic Four, But what ended up
- 31:32Speaker 3: happening was that created this kind of opportunity for Doctor
- 31:39Speaker 3: Doom to kind of create his own nexus of worlds, right,
- 31:46Speaker 3: like he was this he became this god level power character.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Google God Doom Marvel Comics and you will see exactly
- 31:54Speaker 3: what I'm talking about. And so I think what we'll
- 31:57Speaker 3: roll into with Doomsday, either Doomsday will be the movie
- 32:00Speaker 3: where the incursions are taking place and they're trying to
- 32:02Speaker 3: stop it or whatever, or no, yeah, Doomsday, and then
- 32:06Speaker 3: Secret Wars is going to be all about this new reality, right,
- 32:09Speaker 3: I mean you talk about it like he had doctor
- 32:11Speaker 3: Strange under his his as his like right hand man
- 32:15Speaker 3: so to speak. He had been married to Sue Storm
- 32:19Speaker 3: or like somehow brainwashed her, and then he had this
- 32:22Speaker 3: like he had literally, uh, the Thor Core, which was
- 32:25Speaker 3: like his police force was just all these different iterations
- 32:28Speaker 3: of Thor, which is just crazy. It sounds scary right right,
- 32:33Speaker 3: And so like there's like the story. I don't want
- 32:35Speaker 3: to get into it in case anybody wants to read it,
- 32:37Speaker 3: but like, yeah, I think Secret Wars is going to
- 32:39Speaker 3: be like the culmination of that story. But like it
- 32:43Speaker 3: literally took Black Panther leading an army of the dead,
- 32:47Speaker 3: Captain America with the Infinity Gauntlet all this different shit,
- 32:51Speaker 3: But like, I think, what's gonna cement Doctor Doom as
- 32:54Speaker 3: his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is if they
- 32:57Speaker 3: emulate this scene from the comics where Thanos tries to
- 33:00Speaker 3: step up to him and he's like, you're not really
- 33:02Speaker 3: a god. I'm the real god here, and Doom is like, well,
- 33:06Speaker 3: let's test that theory, and he punches a hole in
- 33:08Speaker 3: Thanos's chest and rips his skeleton out moral combat style. Yes,
- 33:15Speaker 3: and that is what we need, rightly.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Did a someone literally did an ai where they put
- 33:21Speaker 2: it downy and Josh Brolin's voice, and it's so fucking good.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Oh that sounds sick.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Actually, I know, you send me the cosmic and the
- 33:30Speaker 2: comic thing. I'll send you that because it is so sick.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Well, I mean that's and that's the thing. It's like
- 33:37Speaker 3: Secret Wars and that was back in twenty fifteen when
- 33:39Speaker 3: this comic came out. That is such an iconic kind
- 33:44Speaker 3: of story and it like it could be a really
- 33:48Speaker 3: like definitive end to the multiverse. You know, saga if
- 33:52Speaker 3: you will in Marvel you know what I mean, Like
- 33:55Speaker 3: when all this shit kind of collides together because either
- 33:58Speaker 3: they've been fucking with the multiverse too much. Sure, like
- 34:00Speaker 3: it's just a natural outcome of the multiverse existing. Is
- 34:04Speaker 3: this incursion and then you have either a Robert iron
- 34:09Speaker 3: Man from a different reality or you know, Tony Stark
- 34:12Speaker 3: had become Doctor Doom in a different reality, or like
- 34:15Speaker 3: they pull from that story that I mentioned earlier where
- 34:17Speaker 3: it's Tony Stark's body but really doctor Doom's mind, right,
- 34:21Speaker 3: and he seizes the opportunity to create this weird, you know,
- 34:28Speaker 3: amalgam world. And then like, yeah, like this is these
- 34:33Speaker 3: all these heroes that are either conscious of where they
- 34:36Speaker 3: came from their previous world or like people that they
- 34:38Speaker 3: kind of draft from this new world that are sick
- 34:42Speaker 3: of Doom's bullshit, and it becomes this whole climactic battle, right,
- 34:45Speaker 3: And it's a really cool idea to you know, to
- 34:50Speaker 3: see we've seen all these variants, we've seen different versions
- 34:53Speaker 3: of people, YadA YadA, but to see it all come
- 34:55Speaker 3: to a head where like somebody has taken that idea
- 34:58Speaker 3: and like kind of manipulated it to their own means,
- 35:02Speaker 3: and uh, yeah, to see it kind of culminate with that,
- 35:06Speaker 3: you know, we you know, there's characters in the comic
- 35:10Speaker 3: that are really pivotal to it. We could see somebody
- 35:13Speaker 3: else take up the mantle of black Panther, like a
- 35:15Speaker 3: lot of people have been alluding to, maybe Killmonger's character,
- 35:18Speaker 3: Michael B. Jordan's becomes a Black Panther or whatever. You know,
- 35:21Speaker 3: you could do a whole bunch of fuckery with it,
- 35:23Speaker 3: and it could be awesome, you know. And Marvel's been
- 35:25Speaker 3: a great job of adapting stories, kind of making them
- 35:28Speaker 3: their own, but still kind of holding the idea of
- 35:31Speaker 3: this story from comics. So I mean, I'm down I know,
- 35:35Speaker 3: you know, like all the Marvel movies, it's going to
- 35:38Speaker 3: be a waiting game to see how it all plays out.
- 35:40Speaker 3: But man, uh, sign me the fuck up. That's all
- 35:43Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 35:44Speaker 2: I mean, And here's the thing too, I kind of
- 35:45Speaker 2: want to go off. We just staid here before. There's
- 35:47Speaker 2: the point I got to make here about Downy. Figy
- 35:51Speaker 2: is a comic book nerd. He he knows these stories,
- 35:58Speaker 2: but he also if you watch some of these movies. Again,
- 36:01Speaker 2: I don't know the comics as well as the movies.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I know some of the comics because I read because
- 36:05Speaker 2: I read about them, or there have been some comics
- 36:07Speaker 2: I've read more so on the Batman side, but I've
- 36:09Speaker 2: read a few Spider Man ones, and I've read a
- 36:11Speaker 2: few Captain America once because my dad's a huge Captain
- 36:14Speaker 2: America Mark, Love your Dad America. But there have been
- 36:21Speaker 2: stories that they have not followed the comics to heart,
- 36:25Speaker 2: which is a good thing because you don't want to
- 36:26Speaker 2: go in there and see that. Yeah, because like, okay,
- 36:29Speaker 2: I don't. I don't know the Ultron story, but by
- 36:32Speaker 2: of course, but by accounts from people I know that
- 36:34Speaker 2: no age of Alton, they say Ultron is a complete,
- 36:37Speaker 2: bigger badass, but like not saying that Ultron in the
- 36:39Speaker 2: movies wasn't a badass. Yeah, it would have been nicer
- 36:42Speaker 2: may if he was less and more than swell one
- 36:43Speaker 2: movie of course. But you know what, that's just the
- 36:45Speaker 2: way it was with the with their plans the time. Yeah,
- 36:47Speaker 2: because their focus was what fanos, that was their focus.
- 36:51Speaker 3: It was just it changed a lot about that. It
- 36:52Speaker 3: wasn't Tony Starku made Ultron any of that. No, right,
- 36:56Speaker 3: a character that hadn't even been introduced to the movies yet, right,
- 36:59Speaker 3: and more or less, I.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Don't know if he has yet but anyway, but and
- 37:04Speaker 2: so like and like because and again I don't know,
- 37:06Speaker 2: though I don't know one of the comics I want
- 37:07Speaker 2: to read. I want to read more about I want
- 37:09Speaker 2: to get into my Secret War, especially coming out, because
- 37:11Speaker 2: it's sucking like Comparica Dress. But also I know for
- 37:13Speaker 2: a fact that like Civil War, that is not how
- 37:16Speaker 2: it went.
- 37:17Speaker 3: That's yeah, that's not even closer.
- 37:19Speaker 2: That's That's what I'm saying though, Like people don't like
- 37:22Speaker 2: people like because you see these movies that go, oh,
- 37:23Speaker 2: so that's like like this, it's like, actually know what's
- 37:25Speaker 2: completely different, but that that there's anything wrong with that.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Civil Wars is a kick ass movie. We got spikes, man,
- 37:32Speaker 2: we got spidering the MCU, like the the thing that
- 37:34Speaker 2: everyone thought was impossible, it happened. It happened, and then
- 37:40Speaker 2: another thing too. You could also think, uh oh god,
- 37:44Speaker 2: like there's some like stuff with thor I know, some
- 37:47Speaker 2: stuff with Man. But the thing that the point I
- 37:48Speaker 2: want to make now too. I was actually asked by
- 37:52Speaker 2: a coworker because they're a huge comic Bob comic Nerd
- 37:58Speaker 2: as well, but they're like, I just can't find myself
- 38:02Speaker 2: to go into a theater essentially, how ladies and gentlemen.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Another promresting thing, how do you take a guide that
- 38:11Speaker 2: everyone loves? Here we are you know what? You know
- 38:12Speaker 2: what Tony Stark is, Hulkgan. How do you take a okay,
- 38:18Speaker 2: the character not well, I mean that's also the same.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Thing that was.
- 38:29Speaker 2: That was That wasn't my brother, that was Tony Stark's dick. Anyway,
- 38:33Speaker 2: how do you take this character that everyone loves and
- 38:36Speaker 2: for now toll Holding contacts still loves and get them
- 38:40Speaker 2: to hate them? Okay, because people are going to go
- 38:43Speaker 2: into theater, people that don't know anything about Marvel. Yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 2: you know what, they're probably gonna add, you know a
- 38:47Speaker 2: few people as like their friends. Hey, what should I
- 38:49Speaker 2: watch before I go here? What should I do before this?
- 38:51Speaker 2: And here's the thing I think Marvel's been doing a
- 38:54Speaker 2: very good job of. It's not just a dead boo.
- 38:56Speaker 2: They've done with other things too. You don't need to
- 38:58Speaker 2: watch certain movies before going in. Okay, the Devil's Advocate
- 39:03Speaker 2: example of that. The Marvels Okay, I actually I thought
- 39:08Speaker 2: it was. It wasn't a bad movie, but it was
- 39:11Speaker 2: a movie where if you didn't watch Captain Marvel, Miss Marvel,
- 39:14Speaker 2: or what are fuck? What was it? WandaVision? You didn't know,
- 39:19Speaker 2: jack shit. You had to literally watch two movies and
- 39:23Speaker 2: a nine episode series just to know half what was
- 39:26Speaker 2: going on. Okay, Deadpool you didn't need to know. Honestly,
- 39:31Speaker 2: if you watch Low any Act of movie or one
- 39:34Speaker 2: of the deap Of movies, you were fine. That's it.
- 39:37Speaker 2: You're good. I think they're gonna try to do their
- 39:40Speaker 2: best job to make that the same thing with his
- 39:42Speaker 2: Doctor Doom in terms of like why he's not Tony Stark,
- 39:46Speaker 2: But how do you get people who have loved Robert
- 39:49Speaker 2: Downey is Tony Stark for now what the closer part
- 39:52Speaker 2: of almost twenty years? Which is crazy to say, how
- 39:56Speaker 2: do you hate him? And I heard this on a
- 39:59Speaker 2: camera the name of podcast. I heard something like this
- 40:01Speaker 2: in the podcast, but I'm gonna put my spin on it.
- 40:04Speaker 2: So you essentially need to do You essentially need to
- 40:09Speaker 2: do the nWo turn. Okay, you're always gonna establish that
- 40:14Speaker 2: this is doctor doing before Tony stars, so it's not
- 40:15Speaker 2: like it's not like, oh, it's Tony Stark, but you're
- 40:19Speaker 2: going to though, here's how okay, you need to do
- 40:23Speaker 2: Infinity War? How did everyone know that Thanos is a
- 40:25Speaker 2: bad guy, even though we had nine movies leaning up
- 40:28Speaker 2: or fuck what twenty something movies lean up to this?
- 40:31Speaker 2: How does Infinity War start? Or how actually, how does
- 40:34Speaker 2: how does Ragnarok end? It ends with Thanos's ship finds
- 40:37Speaker 2: he has guardians on their little homestead in space. What
- 40:40Speaker 2: does he do? Fucking murders? Everybody chokes?
- 40:45Speaker 3: He located the.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Murders, everybody beats the absolute shit out of Thorn, breaks
- 40:51Speaker 2: Loki's neck in front of him, and then what does
- 40:54Speaker 2: he also do? Makes the Hulk look like the jopper
- 40:58Speaker 2: that he now is. Since Infinity War, by the way,
- 41:01Speaker 2: Hulk has not been the same.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Nope, literally, Hulk went the therapy Hulk.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Hulk is now Hawaiian teaser Hulk and is never coming back.
- 41:12Speaker 3: That was such a disappointment in those movies. Not a sidetrack,
- 41:15Speaker 3: but like.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Please please do it, my Hulk.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Yeah, when Bruce Banners in the Hulkbuster and he's like, bro,
- 41:23Speaker 3: we gotta we gotta do something, He's like, no, I'm
- 41:25Speaker 3: too scared, and then we never we never got that,
- 41:28Speaker 3: We never got the fight right I was That was
- 41:30Speaker 3: such a blue ball moment.
- 41:31Speaker 2: That, honestly, and this is one quick Sidebrun's Hulk thing.
- 41:35Speaker 2: I legitimately think that's why a lot of people are
- 41:38Speaker 2: not going as crazy or as complained about as much
- 41:41Speaker 2: as that we did get the Hulk Wolverine fight in
- 41:43Speaker 2: Deadpool is because that's that's the stigma, is that. I mean,
- 41:47Speaker 2: I love Mark Mark Ruffalo, Huh, I love him, but
- 41:50Speaker 2: right now, Hulk's a bitch.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Well but that, you know, thinking about it, like that
- 41:55Speaker 3: was back in time, that could have been a different
- 41:57Speaker 3: fucking universe altogether. That was still like the Savage Hall
- 42:00Speaker 3: that would have been fighting Boers.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Because as soon as soon as that whole came on street,
- 42:03Speaker 2: you knew exactly which.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Was like the fuck, You're still like raging and yelling
- 42:07Speaker 3: and chips like yeah.
- 42:09Speaker 2: He's so cool, but no, no, he's a bitch. Anyway,
- 42:13Speaker 2: you need to do the Infinity War scene. But and
- 42:15Speaker 2: I and I almost hate saying this because part of
- 42:19Speaker 2: it is part of this podcast that said I but
- 42:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna put my spin on it because then only
- 42:21Speaker 2: put them we mentioned one part, Okay, you need to
- 42:26Speaker 2: have you need to do the whole Tony like I
- 42:29Speaker 2: thought you were dead. You need to do that. You
- 42:31Speaker 2: need to mm hmm. But then you have him kill somebody, right,
- 42:36Speaker 2: who do you have him kill?
- 42:38Speaker 3: Captain America?
- 42:39Speaker 2: No, Pepper, you have him kill his wife? You have
- 42:48Speaker 2: him God, and people going, well, it's a stupa moment.
- 42:53Speaker 2: You can do that ship you need to have him.
- 42:56Speaker 2: This is where you really have him as Sandwich, as
- 42:57Speaker 2: the bad guy. Obviously, they still I don't know how
- 43:00Speaker 2: they're gonna do it. You still have the whole thing
- 43:01Speaker 2: where no one remembers Peter Parker, which, by the way,
- 43:03Speaker 2: and I saw one video. I know you saw a Deadpool.
- 43:06Speaker 2: I can't believe we didn't talk about the Happy Holgan
- 43:08Speaker 2: cameo in that movie, which was? Which was? I believe that.
- 43:12Speaker 2: But here's one thing. Did you notice? So obviously in
- 43:15Speaker 2: going back to the dead Pool over in spoiler, they're
- 43:17Speaker 2: showing Happy Hogan's office as Deadpool is trying to, like,
- 43:20Speaker 2: you know, convince them and the Avengers.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Right, there is a part.
- 43:24Speaker 2: And they you if you don't, And again I saw
- 43:27Speaker 2: it the second time because I have recognized the photo.
- 43:31Speaker 2: There's a part where they show Morgan Stark's little Iron
- 43:35Speaker 2: Man mask on a on a little countertop.
- 43:38Speaker 3: He's blocking half of the pictures.
- 43:39Speaker 2: It's blocking the picture of Tony and Peter, and you
- 43:42Speaker 2: only see Tony. So it's like it's again, it's that
- 43:48Speaker 2: it's that whole of no one remembers Peter. So I
- 43:52Speaker 2: don't know if you ever get to a point like
- 43:53Speaker 2: maybe maybe it's one of those scenes where Spider Man
- 43:57Speaker 2: happens to be in the room. He's trying to save
- 43:58Speaker 2: the day from Doctor Doom. Yeah yet ye, but Doctor's
- 44:00Speaker 2: just wrecking everyone and he and then somehow maybe Peter's
- 44:04Speaker 2: the one that knocks the mask off and then he goes, wait,
- 44:07Speaker 2: mister Stark because he loves him the desk of like
- 44:09Speaker 2: a father. And of course Doctorm was like, I don't
- 44:12Speaker 2: know who the fuck this guy is. Yeaha YadA YadA,
- 44:14Speaker 2: So he established right away that like Peter is like
- 44:16Speaker 2: he has no id tother the fuck's going on, and
- 44:18Speaker 2: he fucking just not kills ab it. You're not gonna
- 44:20Speaker 2: kill fucking Spider Man. Fucking merk spider Man. And then
- 44:23Speaker 2: you need to have him mark a four hulk like person.
- 44:25Speaker 2: I don't want to say cat. I actually like Breelars's
- 44:27Speaker 2: Captain Marvel, but you need to have him fucking just
- 44:31Speaker 2: destroy a Captain Marvel and really, there isn't a good
- 44:35Speaker 2: person standing right now that you can quote unquote murdered
- 44:38Speaker 2: just just thinking of the current stigma, unless you have
- 44:41Speaker 2: him killed like a hawk gy. But I mean, I
- 44:42Speaker 2: don't think that would just bring as much gravit test
- 44:44Speaker 2: because Hawkeye is not like a big time that he's
- 44:47Speaker 2: a big time, but it's not like a strong person.
- 44:49Speaker 2: And that's why he's thinking, you have him kill Pepper,
- 44:53Speaker 2: you have him kill his wife in front of everybody,
- 44:56Speaker 2: because everyone's not because because again no one, because no
- 44:58Speaker 2: one in this doomsday for part is not gonna know
- 45:00Speaker 2: what the fuck. They's not gonna know those multi verses
- 45:02Speaker 2: talking about the fuck's going on, and all they see
- 45:03Speaker 2: is Tony Stark killing his wife, the mother of his child,
- 45:06Speaker 2: not like not accidentally, like like like Loki style, grabbing
- 45:10Speaker 2: her knack, like blowing off whole through something kind of
- 45:15Speaker 2: like like whole kog. And no one expected him to
- 45:17Speaker 2: actually turn it the dark side. What happens. He comes
- 45:19Speaker 2: in the ring to run the bad guys off, runs
- 45:22Speaker 2: in the corner, says fuck you, and then drops the
- 45:23Speaker 2: leg on Savage and.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Like you could even do a thing where it's like
- 45:28Speaker 3: where it's like Tony Stark, like doctor Doom shows up
- 45:31Speaker 3: previously in the films, Betty never unmasks, and then like
- 45:34Speaker 3: Tony Stark shows back up right and does whatever, and
- 45:37Speaker 3: then it's like revealed, Oh, I've been doctor Doom this
- 45:39Speaker 3: whole time when you talking about.
- 45:40Speaker 2: And actually I'm actually I'm glad you mentioned that too,
- 45:44Speaker 2: because I'm pretty sure was it the Marvels. I've only
- 45:49Speaker 2: seen the Marvels one time. I'm pretty sure actually the
- 45:53Speaker 2: Marvels did that? Was it the Marvels? I want to
- 45:57Speaker 2: say it was.
- 45:59Speaker 3: I did what exactly?
- 46:01Speaker 2: I want to say the Marvels did, like a recap
- 46:03Speaker 2: before the movie started, one of the Marvel movies in
- 46:07Speaker 2: the last couple of years. They actually did that. They
- 46:10Speaker 2: did that as like a kind of like you know,
- 46:12Speaker 2: like like whenever like you're watching a new season of
- 46:14Speaker 2: a show or it's the season finale previously on Supernatural,
- 46:18Speaker 2: you carry my waywards it and it's like they show
- 46:19Speaker 2: the entire season. Of course, baby, that's pretty good show anyway.
- 46:37Speaker 2: But yeah, you need to do you need to do,
- 46:40Speaker 2: you put yours, you need to do cause I can't
- 46:45Speaker 2: talking about Supernatural memes? What what? Why did Why does
- 46:49Speaker 2: this Strow really want the pizza boy, you're bringing the
- 46:52Speaker 2: pizza box anyway, what fucking moose Anyway, You need to
- 47:00Speaker 2: do like a recap, like you said, like just even
- 47:02Speaker 2: if it's just like showing like the post credit of
- 47:03Speaker 2: like Fantastic four, and you do some like other multiverse
- 47:07Speaker 2: stuff or you know what, if anything, this is what
- 47:09Speaker 2: you do. You need to have the trailers. You do
- 47:12Speaker 2: one trailer for the movie and the other trailers are
- 47:14Speaker 2: just recaps. That's it, because the hype for this movie
- 47:17Speaker 2: is Jesus sorry, I'm knocked over Wolverine somehow, the hype
- 47:20Speaker 2: for this movie is gonna be so insane. You don't
- 47:22Speaker 2: need to do one hundred trailers. You don't. You just
- 47:26Speaker 2: do a couple. You do want you do a teaser trailer,
- 47:28Speaker 2: do a final trailer, and every straight between is a
- 47:30Speaker 2: recap of everything since endgame to now. And you only
- 47:34Speaker 2: do focus on the multiverse. Shit, you don't focus on
- 47:37Speaker 2: the little things. Maybe somehow Captain America gets the super serial. Okay,
- 47:40Speaker 2: you can put that in there, but that's it. You
- 47:43Speaker 2: need to focus and actually talk. Going back to Hulk
- 47:45Speaker 2: as a bitch saying, did you see the Captain America trailer.
- 47:48Speaker 3: The newest one.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Yeah, with Red Hulme.
- 47:52Speaker 3: I find it. I didn't. The last trailer I saw
- 47:54Speaker 3: just had Red Hulk at the very end.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, red Hole. Yeah, they have Red Hulk. And
- 47:58Speaker 2: guess what it doesn't look It looks like Harrison four words.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Hulk's not a bitch. So we are getting some kind
- 48:03Speaker 2: of But but again, you need to, like you said,
- 48:06Speaker 2: you need to find a way to establish it because
- 48:07Speaker 2: so many people are going to this going, how am
- 48:09Speaker 2: I gonna hate Tony Stark? And why is he in this?
- 48:13Speaker 2: Why is he doctor doing? You do your recap and
- 48:15Speaker 2: then in the first five minutes you just need to
- 48:18Speaker 2: have him Infinity war this ship and murder someone and
- 48:21Speaker 2: I don't know who else he can murder. That would
- 48:24Speaker 2: be as meaningful as Pepper. Not that not saying that
- 48:28Speaker 2: Pepper Potts is not a poorn, She's not like a
- 48:30Speaker 2: giant teer character, but everyone knows that character with Tony Stark,
- 48:35Speaker 2: and if you have him murder her, all bets are off.
- 48:38Speaker 2: But no one everyone's gonna hate him.
- 48:40Speaker 3: Yeah, like this this whole show that this is not
- 48:42Speaker 3: our Tony, this is not the and this is an
- 48:45Speaker 3: evil son of a bitch, you got no love in
- 48:47Speaker 3: his heart.
- 48:49Speaker 2: It's again, it's called Doomsday. It's supposed to literally be
- 48:53Speaker 2: a movie where he just comes in and just fucking
- 48:56Speaker 2: murders everybody. And then again, by the way, this isn't
- 48:59Speaker 2: a spoiler. I don't is for a fact. And then
- 49:01Speaker 2: secret wars need to be kind of like you say,
- 49:02Speaker 2: like the what was it called incursion?
- 49:06Speaker 3: Well that's the thing. It's like Doomsday could have a
- 49:08Speaker 3: multiplicit multiplicitus meaning where it's like Doomsday and like the
- 49:13Speaker 3: end of Times, it's like, Okay, this incursion is coming,
- 49:15Speaker 3: what are we gonna do about it? But then it
- 49:16Speaker 3: turns out that Doom, doctor Doom is going to use
- 49:19Speaker 3: this to his advantage to like seize power over this
- 49:23Speaker 3: new reality, so to speak. If that's where they go
- 49:25Speaker 3: with it, you know what I mean, it's Doomsday, but
- 49:27Speaker 3: it's also Doom's day, like it's his day to win whatever,
- 49:31Speaker 3: and that would be like the same the you know,
- 49:34Speaker 3: Avengers Infinity War ending where it's like Thanos actually fucking won, right,
- 49:39Speaker 3: you know, and then going into endgame, it's like, okay,
- 49:42Speaker 3: how do we recoup this?
- 49:44Speaker 2: Right?
- 49:44Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 49:45Speaker 2: If anything, but you do or it's like not like
- 49:46Speaker 2: he like you know, destroyed, like he steps his fear
- 49:48Speaker 2: in one's dead. But it's like, okay, yeah, this guy's
- 49:50Speaker 2: wait too probable. How do we beat them? And then
- 49:52Speaker 2: you knock knock on some other people's doors from other places,
- 49:55Speaker 2: which I won't say because again, not that anything has
- 49:57Speaker 2: been revealed the leak, but like it, I think it's
- 50:01Speaker 2: kind of obvious who's gonna knock on that door?
- 50:04Speaker 3: So, right, I mean, like we can talk about it, right, like, yeah,
- 50:08Speaker 3: why not?
- 50:08Speaker 2: I mean, isn't it that like it's just.
- 50:10Speaker 3: That the X Men, like the original X Men, are
- 50:13Speaker 3: gonna try and be in there, or the Potastic Four
- 50:15Speaker 3: from different universes or some shit, right you know what
- 50:18Speaker 3: I mean? Is that the rumor?
- 50:20Speaker 2: Well, so, the one thing is the supposed to be
- 50:22Speaker 2: the Fantastic Four is in a different universe and is
- 50:25Speaker 2: a different time. It's just take place in the fifties.
- 50:28Speaker 2: The time the different the different universe is carts of
- 50:31Speaker 2: the change that has been revealed, but the actual time,
- 50:33Speaker 2: if it takes place in the fifties and sixties, is
- 50:35Speaker 2: a fact that's been confirmed.
- 50:37Speaker 3: Okay, So if it's a different universe and it's all
- 50:39Speaker 3: the way back then then maybe that maybe that's where
- 50:43Speaker 3: Tony Stark is from, right that becomes doctor Doom. Maybe
- 50:47Speaker 3: it's you're on the right. Okay, let me let me
- 50:49Speaker 3: speculate this. Well, maybe instead of there being a Victor
- 50:52Speaker 3: von dum at all, maybe it's Read Richards and Tony
- 50:55Speaker 3: Stark are in those are the roommates situation, right, Like
- 50:59Speaker 3: that's right? And then the kiss. No no, but like
- 51:05Speaker 3: maybe like okay, let me just story Let me just
- 51:08Speaker 3: storycraft a little bit. Let me just storycraft a little bit, please.
- 51:11Speaker 3: Maybe like despite Tony Stark's affluence and his you know,
- 51:16Speaker 3: coming from money situation, maybe Read Richards is just still
- 51:20Speaker 3: smarter than he is. And maybe that just sticks and
- 51:23Speaker 3: Tony Starks crawling like he goes down this path of like,
- 51:27Speaker 3: well I'm proved to you who's smarter? Man, I'm evil?
- 51:32Speaker 3: No I need And maybe that's the situation. Maybe that's
- 51:37Speaker 3: what's going on, Like you know what I mean, I
- 51:39Speaker 3: wouldn't necessarily line up perfectly with like what they've established
- 51:42Speaker 3: timeline wise, because his dad would still be around. I
- 51:45Speaker 3: don't know. Fuck fuck me, but like I don't know,
- 51:48Speaker 3: maybe they could go in that direction, and is it
- 51:50Speaker 3: so is the idea that it's in the fifties, but
- 51:52Speaker 3: then they get flung into the future.
- 51:54Speaker 2: That's all that's been revealed is it's in the fifties.
- 51:57Speaker 3: That's it.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Okay, nothing more.
- 51:59Speaker 3: I'm down for that. I'm down for that.
- 52:01Speaker 2: And it's like, and then, of course, what role does
- 52:03Speaker 2: Galac display? What role does the actually you know what
- 52:06Speaker 2: I mean, because I mean they announced him, but they
- 52:09Speaker 2: announced how he's gonna be. Because because this is my
- 52:12Speaker 2: this is my theory. I think Kane was supposed to
- 52:15Speaker 2: be the lead into Doctor Doom, and obviously Doctor Doumen's
- 52:19Speaker 2: it be coming to lead into Galactus. But I think
- 52:21Speaker 2: now it's gonna be Caine's gone. Doctor Doom is not essentially,
- 52:24Speaker 2: it's gonna be Avengers five and well yeah, five and
- 52:26Speaker 2: six is Doctor Doom. And then they're gonna lead this
- 52:29Speaker 2: into Galactus because Galactus, again, is not a guy you
- 52:32Speaker 2: just go We're like, okay, bye, it's like, no, that's
- 52:34Speaker 2: a guy that.
- 52:36Speaker 3: No, he's on his way, he's coming.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's a guy. You don't do the big
- 52:41Speaker 2: movie where you kill him in ten years. That's oh fuck.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Okay. So Galactus is such an interesting character. Because especially
- 52:49Speaker 3: with the timeline that you're kind of presenting, like the
- 52:52Speaker 3: lineup of movies, because Galactus as a character, as his
- 52:57Speaker 3: universe was dying, he created a machine to survive the
- 53:02Speaker 3: death of a universe, and then that's what he became
- 53:05Speaker 3: Galactus into this new universe, right, and so he's this
- 53:08Speaker 3: cosmic nity that's like tasked with not just eating ship,
- 53:12Speaker 3: but like balancing the universe. Like, so like maybe that
- 53:20Speaker 3: plays into the whole Secret Wars thing, is that like
- 53:23Speaker 3: somebody from this doom created reality against story crafting just ideas,
- 53:29Speaker 3: maybe somebody survives that machine and becomes Galactus into a
- 53:33Speaker 3: new universe. I don't know where they're fucking gonna go
- 53:36Speaker 3: after this if this is the Secret Wars that they're
- 53:38Speaker 3: building it off of, because the fuck, like what do
- 53:43Speaker 3: you do? Okay, well, combine everything and then it all
- 53:46Speaker 3: just blew up? All right? Now? What fu x mes? Right?
- 53:50Speaker 2: And then and they've announced Jackman, they haven't announced like
- 53:53Speaker 2: when they're doing. They're in the process, it's been they're doing.
- 53:55Speaker 2: They're in the process of getting the X Men ready,
- 53:58Speaker 2: like they're starting to like do the pre stuff, not
- 54:00Speaker 2: like they're start filming like Okay, we're gonna start like
- 54:03Speaker 2: finding people to work on it, directors, writers, what we're
- 54:05Speaker 2: gonna do with it, Like they've started that process. But
- 54:08Speaker 2: which if they're starting that process, that means they're not
- 54:10Speaker 2: too far from filming, And like, what do you do?
- 54:12Speaker 2: Because again by dead poo Wolverine stands, I mean, I
- 54:15Speaker 2: totally anticipated somehow Logan dies at the end spoiler he.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Didn't, So he didn't. It was fine, fun, he was
- 54:23Speaker 3: holding a dog. Everything is fine, everything club is fine.
- 54:29Speaker 2: But the point, the other point trying to make is like, Okay,
- 54:32Speaker 2: and here's the one thing I'm worried about. Again, nothing's
- 54:36Speaker 2: making firm but Secret Wars I totally expect him to,
- 54:39Speaker 2: like you said, there is going to be the final
- 54:41Speaker 2: set up of all these other Marvel movies, not with them.
- 54:44Speaker 2: If I don't want to, I mean, again, I don't
- 54:47Speaker 2: want to say, like what thinks to me because because
- 54:48Speaker 2: it kind of spoiled it, But like I think it's
- 54:52Speaker 2: kind of like obviously where they're gonna go with it.
- 54:53Speaker 2: But then it's like, okay, let's say let's say Avengers
- 54:55Speaker 2: five or five. Okay, Decker kills their one, Avengers six,
- 54:59Speaker 2: everyone from every fucking movie every maid that has a
- 55:01Speaker 2: Marvel name on it comes in and kills this dude. Great, cool, kumbayah, awesome, biggest,
- 55:06Speaker 2: biggest fucking cameo offspring ever of all time. Cool. And
- 55:09Speaker 2: then Avengers seven and eight, it's like, okay, like those
- 55:15Speaker 2: movies need to be top tier because everyone's gonna expect
- 55:17Speaker 2: a thousand camas. But was like, well, why would we
- 55:19Speaker 2: do that again? Okay, per example, I'm gonna say it.
- 55:21Speaker 2: I totally anticipate. I anticipate McGuire one hundred percent. There's
- 55:26Speaker 2: no way they signed him the one fucking movie. He's
- 55:30Speaker 2: been talking about doing Spider Man again ever since Spider
- 55:33Speaker 2: Man three ended, and he got to do it again
- 55:37Speaker 2: and again. Every interview he said, when they said, hey,
- 55:40Speaker 2: so when you got the call for no Way Home,
- 55:42Speaker 2: how'd you feel, his response wasn't I was grateful. I
- 55:46Speaker 2: was delighted. It was It's about time. I've been waiting
- 55:53Speaker 2: for this phone call for fifteen years. Guess what? It
- 55:59Speaker 2: was true because No Way Home is awesome. So again,
- 56:03Speaker 2: I totally anticipated that, and I'm not just saying I'm
- 56:06Speaker 2: thinking everyone and it's just like and then like, of course,
- 56:08Speaker 2: like what are they gonna do with the Spider Man
- 56:09Speaker 2: license because take they don't own it. But then like,
- 56:12Speaker 2: and Sony's done a ship job with their stuff, and
- 56:15Speaker 2: like the apparently the Venom stuff is ending and that
- 56:16Speaker 2: was supposed to be their anchor, but like that's not happening.
- 56:19Speaker 2: By the way Bill accounts the Craven movie, which it's
- 56:21Speaker 2: supposed to be really good, there's rumors that saying that
- 56:24Speaker 2: doesn't If that doesn't do well, Sony might just drop
- 56:26Speaker 2: the whole thing, please do. Just like, what are they
- 56:30Speaker 2: gonna look again? It's just it's one of those scenes
- 56:32Speaker 2: where like the one thing I'm scared about with this
- 56:34Speaker 2: and I think I'm all for Doctor Doom being Robert
- 56:37Speaker 2: Downing because how many times has Marble then just Marvel,
- 56:40Speaker 2: has a superhero casting been announced Heith Fledger, Ben Affleck.
- 56:47Speaker 2: I can go on and on. How many times has
- 56:48Speaker 2: someone been announced a superhero and the Internet's gone, you
- 56:51Speaker 2: fuck it, suck, they shouldn't be it. And guess what happens.
- 56:54Speaker 2: They go to the fucking plate, they hit it out
- 56:56Speaker 2: of the fucking park, and then they run and catch
- 56:57Speaker 2: the ball and they run back into the park and
- 57:00Speaker 2: down their fucking throats they done every single But seriously,
- 57:04Speaker 2: with Marvel, there have not been many Okay, perfect example,
- 57:07Speaker 2: there have technically been out. This is what what's Harrison
- 57:09Speaker 2: Harrison Ford's playing? Uh, he's playing the president. Potechnically, he's
- 57:12Speaker 2: playing the fourth General Ross because the of the three
- 57:16Speaker 2: pass guys have unforcedly passed away and all three prior
- 57:20Speaker 2: what happened fucking knocked it out of the park. Yeah.
- 57:23Speaker 2: I know, I know it's not just figing, but you
- 57:25Speaker 2: know has final say and it's like what what again?
- 57:28Speaker 2: At this point? Why do you doubt them? Yeah? Obviously,
- 57:30Speaker 2: like Devil says, you're the low point. Yeah, there's a
- 57:33Speaker 2: lot more to it than his fighting, you know, having
- 57:35Speaker 2: his missus. I'm sure he's had his missus here and there.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Like I've said it dark the Dark World thor. I
- 57:41Speaker 2: think that's the worst Marvel movie for me. Honestly, that's
- 57:43Speaker 2: my least favorite. But here's the thing, though, I see,
- 57:46Speaker 2: it's not a it's not a it's not a god
- 57:48Speaker 2: awful movie. Right if you when you hang out with
- 57:50Speaker 2: a good thing, Sorry, no, you go ahead.
- 57:53Speaker 3: I was gonna say. The good thing about coming in
- 57:55Speaker 3: and as a low point at a low point is
- 57:57Speaker 3: that there's only really one direction to go, right unless
- 58:01Speaker 3: they find new depths of ship different but I don't
- 58:04Speaker 3: I doubt it. I mean, I'm hopefully dumb.
- 58:06Speaker 2: And then we'll move on to the next scene here
- 58:09Speaker 2: because I know and you're on late. I appreciating on
- 58:12Speaker 2: because there's one thing, one more thing we want to talk about.
- 58:13Speaker 2: They'll be like our part two if they will keep
- 58:15Speaker 2: that short. But there was one potential thing I thought
- 58:18Speaker 2: they might go, I think your I think your theory,
- 58:21Speaker 2: which is I think it's becoming the more propul theory
- 58:23Speaker 2: the whole. Instead of doctor instead of read and Doom,
- 58:27Speaker 2: it's Doom and Stark is like roommate roommates Read and Stark. Yeah.
- 58:31Speaker 2: And then is the infamous iron Man storyline.
- 58:37Speaker 3: Yeah, which which could easily they could conglomerate or amalgam
- 58:43Speaker 3: into instead of this infamous iron Man or superior your
- 58:47Speaker 3: iron Man, as some people or some comics go like,
- 58:50Speaker 3: he could just become doctor Doom as opposed to like
- 58:52Speaker 3: an evil but Iron Man, he just becomes doct Doom instead.
- 58:55Speaker 2: But I get that, so it'll be like I think,
- 58:58Speaker 2: you know, yeah, No, it'll be to see how they
- 59:01Speaker 2: do that. But also at the same time, it's like, what,
- 59:05Speaker 2: like again, that's that's that's exciting thing. It's like, this
- 59:08Speaker 2: is why I'm happy they're not just doing the cancels.
- 59:09Speaker 2: After doing the KU's like, Okay, we don't know what
- 59:11Speaker 2: they're gonna do with this, we don't know how and
- 59:14Speaker 2: here's the thing we don't get to the thing I'm
- 59:16Speaker 2: really want to discussed about, like the money because okay,
- 59:19Speaker 2: spoiler alert, Robert Downey wanted to do this only if
- 59:22Speaker 2: the rousters were involved. That's the only signed on. And
- 59:25Speaker 2: also he's gonna break a record quick little set for you.
- 59:29Speaker 2: So guess how much money he'll make just for doom'sday.
- 59:35Speaker 3: Dude, I don't know. Fifty million.
- 59:39Speaker 2: So apparently he's taking a quote unquote larger salary, but
- 59:43Speaker 2: he's having less backpoints. So essentially it works like this.
- 59:45Speaker 2: With an actor of this alt you can find aust
- 59:48Speaker 2: variety can finds that the Internet and actual like legitimate sources. Essentially,
- 59:51Speaker 2: with big time actors like Downy, they get a stipend
- 59:54Speaker 2: words it's like, hey, here's your salary, but we're going
- 59:57Speaker 2: to pay you more money depending on how the box
- 59:59Speaker 2: off this st does. So it's kind of like this Hey,
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: you can take this giant check nowt and do the movie,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: or you can take a discount, and then you can
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: take this chance and if it makes a sertain amount
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: of money at certain points, you're gonna make this much money,
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: this much money, which is what he did with Endgame
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: of other movies. That's why, for example, corning to a
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: variety of Downey has made just for the Marvel movies
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: alone up to this point, he's maybe between five attetion
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: one million dollars. Because the first movies was parbas contract.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: He got a total flat feet after his negotiation it
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: is resigning. He took more back points really quick. Can
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: you guess the all time records? There are two movies
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: down Downey's third right now, can you guess the two
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: actors who have made the most money off the movie
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: the Rock No Tom Tom Cruise made one hundred million
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: dollars a legend off a top gun. Oh because it
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: made Yes, because it made a funck ton of money
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: because he did the points system.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: And then Will Smith, can you guess what movie Shark
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: tail Men in Black three?
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Because affairly it made enough where he made so much
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: money at first, but he did a bad point to
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: word because he was like, I'm gonna take the majority
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: of the salary first. But then it actually did burn
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: that people thought they did it did do it great,
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: but didn't thought so he got money. So Robert Downey Jr.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: It is anticipated, based on the deal he made, is
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: going to make a hundred million dollars. That's crazy per movie.
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: Oh fuck, so he's gonna make two hundred and by
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: the way, that's not included other ship because because he
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: is definitely gonna do other other than the two vendors movies.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: He is going to make two hundred million dollars for
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: these two movies. These they're gonna make a billion dollars
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: they're going to but he essentially is going to make
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: a fifth of a billion. He's he's going to make.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: He's gonna make it. He's gonna make a tenth for
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: each movie. He's gonna get a ten in the box
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: office at minimum.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: At minimum, that's an absurd amount of money at minimum.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: And now and most of the pays on this report,
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: most of these things do have a cap off. So
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: it's like a one hundred million You're done. But what
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: it doesn't disclose though, is things like toy sales, likeness.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Uh do not that, dude. These are thinking work. I
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: mean physical Maydea is becoming more popular because of it's
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: it's it's hard to find. Yeah, he's gonna make He's
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: gonna make it. He's gonna two dred million dollars. You we
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: need to get in that uh in that rubber downy
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: uh family tree there. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: We need to We need to start acting five ten
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: years ago.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: We need we need to do that. We need to
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: do the prequel to kiss, kiss, pain, bang. That way
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: he'll he'll like us.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Uh one kiss, one bang bang kiss.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: And they were roommates
