- 0:00Speaker 1: So I went to Boston, very quick trip. That's a
- 0:02long way to go for a short period of time.
- 0:05But my niece, Bailey is pregnant and we decided to
- 0:11have a little baby shower for her. If you had
- 0:13x n I six dot com slash live, you can
- 0:15see a couple of pictures. I went with my sisters.
- 0:18They are all good looking.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Well they must not be in that.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Picture then, and my mom, who is very good looking,
- 0:26very good looking. And because Bailey doesn't have any family there,
- 0:32so that's kind of hard to have a baby in
- 0:34a town where you don't have any family.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Show I recognize you, yeah in the picture.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah those are that's Michel and Carrie and Kelly.
- 0:44Speaker 2: My good pictures. Oh yeah that's Carrie.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Okay, So we just flew out for the weekend to
- 0:51give her a little baby shower.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Well it looks it looks as though you're in a barge,
- 0:55you know.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Well we decided we want we you're in Boston, you
- 0:57got to go to an Irish pub, isn't that? Isn't
- 1:00that what you have to do? I would say so.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Because because you know, you have to do the things
- 1:06that people do.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's also we don't all get together like
- 1:11that to go out very often.
- 1:14Speaker 3: So, oh yeah, there's two great traditions in Boston. It's
- 1:17Irish pubs and racism.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So Boston is a beautiful city.
- 1:23Speaker 2: It is.
- 1:24Speaker 1: And we we walked around during the day one day
- 1:28just checking stuff out, and I I don't know what
- 1:31people do for a living, because there is beautiful Brownstone
- 1:35after beautiful Brownstone, there's a picture.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Of one of these X nice way people live.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Lash live where people.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Live and they pay thousands of dollars to have their
- 1:47front porch decorated for Halloween. They are they do not
- 1:51do it themselves. They there's an article about it. There's
- 1:56there is a front porch decorator. I'm in the wrong job.
- 2:00I'm in the wrong business. There is a front porch
- 2:03decorator that will and the one I'm showing you now
- 2:08on the YouTube channel that that's a minor one. There
- 2:10were some very very elaborate Halloween Yah.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So you took a picture of a minor one, not
- 2:17an elaborate one. Why is that? Why did you take
- 2:20a picture of one of the crummy ones.
- 2:22Speaker 4: It's not a crummy one.
- 2:24Speaker 2: There are some really great ones. This is just kind
- 2:26of an Okay one, so let's take a picture of that.
- 2:29Speaker 1: It's the one I happened to take a picture of,
- 2:31uh huh. But so we walked around during the day
- 2:34and Bailey and her husband they both teach at a
- 2:38private boarding school, of which there are many.
- 2:42Speaker 2: So do they make money hand over fist and live
- 2:44in a brown breath?
- 2:44Speaker 1: No, they live in a one bedroom apartment with two huskies.
- 2:48I'm not quite sure how they're going to.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Do that with a baby. It's very expensive to live.
- 2:53Speaker 2: You just you strap one you strap the baby to
- 2:56one of the huskies.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But it's like these these schools are like fifty thousand
- 3:01dollars a year for this isn't college. That's like and
- 3:05people wonder why we're not having children.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Yeah, fifty thousand dollars a year. We ran into a
- 3:11couple of their students on the street.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Were they smarter than the average persons?
- 3:15Speaker 4: They were?
- 3:16Speaker 1: And they and there were a brother and sister, And
- 3:18I said, did both of them go to this? So
- 3:20that's like one hundred thousand dollars their parents are paying just.
- 3:24Speaker 2: And Gina can do that math because she went to
- 3:25a private school too.
- 3:28Speaker 1: But so we walked around during the day and then
- 3:30we decided to do the bar thing, which I showed you,
- 3:32And so we walked around at night and the only
- 3:35people we saw out were these ghost tours, so you'd
- 3:38have somebody like in a cloak with a lantern and
- 3:41then like you know, twenty people bought this is all
- 3:43about you, Katie?
- 3:44Speaker 2: Are you Are you sure I want to do this
- 3:46so bad? Are you sure? Or was this some sort
- 3:48of revolution that was fun than Ben could have been?
- 3:52Speaker 1: But but not a lot of people out. And I
- 3:54was talking to my niece about it, and she was saying, well,
- 3:59you know how they called New York the city that
- 4:01never sleeps. They call Boston the city that sleeps.
- 4:04Speaker 4: It's always sleepy, like people go to bed at or reasonable.
- 4:08I'm like, I could live here.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I mean, if I could afford a brownstone and live there,
- 4:14I could.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I could live. Was it like, I mean, you were
- 4:17in the downtown area?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Well, I mean most so most people go home to
- 4:21the suburbs.
- 4:22Speaker 1: But we but we walked down the street called Acorn Street,
- 4:25which is a very famous street in Boston.
- 4:28Speaker 4: It's famous because.
- 4:30Speaker 1: The people that lived on that street fought the city.
- 4:33They wanted to pay this Cobblestone Road, and the people
- 4:37that lived there said, no, we're going to buy this
- 4:39road from the city so we can leave it.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Cobblestone. Wow, it's gorgeous.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But you walk down the street and there are signs
- 4:46everywhere saying please be quiet. This is this is a
- 4:49private neighborhood. But there were, like I bet there were
- 4:53I don't know, fifty different tourists just wandering up and
- 4:57down the street checking it out. I don't know that
- 5:00I'd want to live on a street like that where
- 5:02they're just full of people all the time.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I do. I live one one now, but it doesn't.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Have charming cobblestone.
- 5:08Speaker 2: No, well, actually it does. It has. Uh and you've
- 5:12never noticed the sidewalk in front of my house?
- 5:14Speaker 1: Is it charming?
- 5:15Speaker 2: It's sandstone, Yeah, it's big sandstone slabs.
- 5:20Speaker 4: We went on a duck tour.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Duck tour what the make way for ducklings?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Well kids book, Yeah, that's the but that's not the
- 5:29tour we went. Like have you seen those tours where
- 5:34they're a boat swan boats that drives around on land
- 5:38and then you drive it straight into the water and
- 5:40then it floats.
- 5:42Speaker 4: They're old like military.
- 5:43Speaker 2: It's really fortunate that they float when you drive them
- 5:46in onto the wacause if they sunk, you.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Know, transition immediately into a boat.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Yes, they're amphibious.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And you have the super chatty tour guide, like the
- 6:01overly jokey.
- 6:03Speaker 4: To her guide. I just wanted kind of a straight.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Ahead Well what did they I mean, where did you?
- 6:09What water did you go on.
- 6:11Speaker 4: The Charles River?
- 6:14Speaker 1: And also the weekend while we were there, they were
- 6:16having the annual Regatta, which is a crew you know,
- 6:22the rowing competition. People come from all over the world.
- 6:26Speaker 2: There's a famous rock song about the Charles River. I
- 6:29think it's called dirty Water. Oh yeah, colling Stones, No,
- 6:33it's I think it's a one hit wonder. I can't
- 6:36think of the name dirty Look. Dirty Water is the
- 6:39name of the song. I can't the Standel's. It's by
- 6:44a band called the Standell's.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And I was sharing a room with my mom and
- 6:49two of my sisters and we woke up the next
- 6:54morning and my sisters were like, Mom was talking in
- 6:58her sleep and we were at the air We were
- 7:01at a hotel by the airport, and there are airplanes
- 7:03going all night, and I said, ladies, your plugs. I
- 7:08don't go anywhere I slept great, I mean a you know,
- 7:12you're in a tiny room where a bunch. I don't
- 7:14use earplugs for every lost lands and things like that.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I said, I want to, and you can buy, you
- 7:19can buy. You know, you can just buy the foam
- 7:22ones that are pretty cheap. You know, you can buy
- 7:24really good custom ear plugs that just.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I don't have to buy them. Excision sends me ones.
- 7:29Speaker 2: For lost lands and stuff.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I have a key chain of.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Like twelve pair now oh really, Yeah, but I'm a lot.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Sad that I missed out because apparently my mom was
- 7:37talking in her sleep.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Apparently she said, Jesus take the wheel.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Jesus take That doesn't sound like something Mary Clara would say.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I don't understand why one of your sisters did not
- 7:50get that on recording.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Yeah, well you don't know, you don't missed opportunity. Yeah,
- 7:56so with my ear plugs, I missed Jesus take the wheel.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Well boy, to have that recording and then use that
- 8:02as like your text ton from her.
- 8:04Speaker 1: There my mom, Jesus takes the wee.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I spent a week in Boston once doing a trade show,
- 8:14you know, being one of the guys that stands at
- 8:15a booth oh yeah, and and and talks about a
- 8:18product at a trade electronics trade show. And uh, I
- 8:22had such a great time there. I was just by myself,
- 8:26although they took me to a Boston Red Sox game,
- 8:29but other than that, I went just went to restaurants
- 8:31by myself, and the ate lots of seafood.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And I love that place. It's I wish I could
- 8:38live all these different lifetimes, because there would be a
- 8:41lifetime where I'd be like, oh A, rent to Brownstone
- 8:45and live there for you know, I don't I don't
- 8:48want to move there, but I would love the experience.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Of living You should, you should do it? Then I don't.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I mean maybe when my kids are all up and out,
- 8:56but I could just I mean, I don't want to
- 8:58move there permently, but I would just like to.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Go Gena, allow Jesus to take the wheel and go
- 9:03to Boston and live.
- 9:04Speaker 1: There for just airbnb one for a month.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and you'll be good.
- 9:07Speaker 4: I totally want to do that.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I mean, like when I spend a week there, that
- 9:11was you know, that was good.

- 9:31so you know, I just want to tour. This is
- 9:33a guy who said, whenever I say the keyword, everybody
- 9:35has to quack, just like you're playing there.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Yeah, like I don't want to, don't make me do.
- 9:44Speaker 3: But my real dream is to is to be on
- 9:46the Jungle Cruise ride at Disney Disney World. Yes, that's
- 9:49my true dream. This duck tour thing is fun and
- 9:51everything
