[SPEAKER_02]: Shit 90's Show's Dot Me Shit 90's Show's Dot Me was not filmed before live studio audience
1:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you ready to say it another day?
1:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So are we welcome back to shit.
1:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I need you to talk to me.
1:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just erling here with my co-host who's a tasty little giftee Sarah.
1:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
1:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:48
[SPEAKER_01]: A tasty little giftee.
1:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, of the Skinner.
1:51
[SPEAKER_01]: He's a Skinner.
1:52
[SPEAKER_00]: With so nasty, like, um, little fuck.
1:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I felt like it was so gratuitous.
2:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we spent so much time watching him peel skin and it was like spaghetti like in a way that made me uncomfortable.
2:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah again, then like you see it him actually eating it.
2:14
[SPEAKER_01]: He was a little creepy fox.
2:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Like do you think in slurping noises he gave off gallum vibes?
2:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I did not enjoy this no particular guy.
2:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what was his name?
2:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, let's see, he's a specific type of demon.
2:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, let me look what it is.
2:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I just wrote, Oh, Narl.
2:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Narl.
2:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so Carl with the GN, basically.
2:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Narl, the slurper.
2:41
[SPEAKER_00]: so slurpy.
2:42
[SPEAKER_00]: He like sings songs everything which is so creepy.
2:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to eat.
2:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's nasty.
2:48
[SPEAKER_00]: He's cute.
2:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So just to clarify apologies about last week, everyone.
2:55
[SPEAKER_00]: We originally were just delaying recording and then we ended up taking the week off.
2:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Personal life stuff happens occasionally, but we're back this week.
3:04
[SPEAKER_00]: and we're catching up on an episode of Buffy in two episodes of Angel.
3:11
[SPEAKER_00]: The same time, same place is the episode of Buffy we're talking about.
3:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Was it just me or this episode kind of feel like a nothing burger?
3:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I felt like on your God jokes,
3:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought that like she was definitely in the star of the episode, which is nice because I feel as though Emma coffield really does have great comedic timing and when they were writing her jokes as they were the last few seasons it was really annoying.
3:41
[SPEAKER_01]: However, I thought that she was outstanding and every scene and stole the scenes.
3:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that it was kind of funny.
3:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought the guy was really creepy.
3:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought the mechanism.
3:55
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you know, I disagree with you.
3:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was a good episode.
3:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought the mechanism of like them being the same place but not seeing each other and the twist of it being like well Willow was just so nervous that she accidentally on purpose did this spell will those anxiety casts magic for her essentially yeah yeah and I thought that it was interesting that spike.
4:20
[SPEAKER_01]: At first, it seemed that he was just talking more nonsense, which we can't stand.
4:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it turns out it wasn't really nonsense because he was one of the only people that was able
4:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Willow, like Ania was the same way.
4:45
[SPEAKER_00]: It's basically because I guess Willow was only concerned about those three, like Buffy, Zander, and Dawn being upset with her, which is a little strange.
4:56
[SPEAKER_00]: You'd think she would be worried that the Ania would also be upset.
5:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I was going to look up on that, or if it was just because they're demons.
5:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it seems like the demons are always very, um, they call, they're, they're usually kind of exempt from all the spells or like being able to see through.
5:18
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a very good point.
5:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I hadn't really considered like that.
5:22
[SPEAKER_00]: It could be because of Ania's demoness.
5:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but either way.
5:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
5:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess when you, okay, when you point out, Ania had an fantastic episode.
5:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I totally agree with you.
5:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I thought the comedic moments, the, um, come in, enjoy my personal space.
5:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Just like we can do the spell, but please don't
5:45
[SPEAKER_01]: You fucked up the carpet.
5:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So good about the carpet thing.
5:49
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a brand new carpet.
5:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't we'll say, I need help on you saying, I don't have any money.
5:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I also really enjoyed it on.
5:58
[SPEAKER_00]: It was so, oh, we'll talk about Dawn because she was cracking me up too.
6:03
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's, I appreciated that we had characters like Dawn and Onya who, while they love Willow, we're like not afraid to be like, girl, you don't fucked up.
6:15
[SPEAKER_00]: hooked up all our shit.
6:17
[SPEAKER_00]: My, like, place a business was destroyed because of you, like, if you're back, you're going to have to promise that you're not evil because that was not okay.
6:27
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
6:27
[SPEAKER_00]: We should have that.
6:28
[SPEAKER_00]: It felt cathartic that we got that.
6:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and even Dawn, I liked how she was like, okay, so you guys are, ooh, there was two things.
6:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Where it was like, hey, are we sure that she's going to be okay if she has even passed the American and a kill everybody classes, and then number two, I like how she's like, well, I figure what she says.
6:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, so what, Giles is blaming himself.
6:52
[SPEAKER_01]: You're blaming,
6:55
[SPEAKER_01]: yourselves who's gonna blame Willow.
6:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Dawn took up that mantle of blaming Willow and I was fucking here for it because let's face it, right?
7:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Dawn is the one who sat with Tara's dead body that Willow left behind, right?
7:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Dawn is the one who's having to kind of deal with a lot of the repercussions and I feel like she's
7:19
[SPEAKER_00]: willing to hold Willow accountable in a way that Buffy and Zander aren't necessarily willing to do because they've also like fucked up so much in the past that they feel like this is Willow's fuck up.
7:32
[SPEAKER_00]: She's allowed to have a fuck up and Dawn is more like no, she like she messed up so bad that Dawn feels protective of Buffy in the way that Buffy feels protective of Dawn, you know,
7:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not so willing to forgive and forget him.
7:48
[SPEAKER_00]: He's just, oh, didn't even pass.
7:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Good magic school and now she's coming back into town, like this isn't good.
7:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I, I, I think that Don also had a really good episode where it, somebody needs to call the girl out, um,
8:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And I also liked the ending conversation of between Willow and Buffy, where they were like, yeah, I got to be honest with you, like, I didn't really trust you.
8:19
[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel bad about it, but Willow was like, well, I didn't really trust myself.
8:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was, I thought it was good.
8:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that was like a good return of Willow.
8:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that if she came back and everybody was like, hey, welcome back.
8:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Like here's a ugly poster with an ugly yellow crayon.
8:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And there was a parade welcoming her back.
8:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I feel like we would have a big problem.
8:44
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that we needed this episode to
8:52
[SPEAKER_01]: it felt realistic that people were weary of her coming back.
8:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's fair.
8:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I just kind of got tired of the they can't see each other aspect of it.
9:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I think after like two scenes of it, I was like a little over that particular
9:09
[SPEAKER_00]: part.
9:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Because obviously, I don't necessarily want willow to just be like everything is hunky-dory as soon as she gets back in town.
9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I feel like there are conversations that needed to happen.
9:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and I did appreciate, right, that like we opened the episode with like Buffy's and her and Dawn waiting for her at the airport.
9:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they are being supportive.
9:30
[SPEAKER_00]: They are showing up for her.
9:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that Zander has talked so much about the yellow crayon that like everyone is making fun of him for it now.
9:39
[SPEAKER_00]: We're back, baby, like, yes, please make fun of Sandra all the time.
9:43
[SPEAKER_01]: He wants the credit, understandably so, for saving the world, but why does he have to make this sign so ugly?
9:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was useless, you can't even read it, like, see, you could still use yellow, but like, I don't know, outline it in black or something, yes, yes, is yellow one of the worst colors.
10:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes.
10:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody says that, but the other day I was thinking maybe Brown's not that bad.
10:14
[SPEAKER_01]: It's because she like neutrals.
10:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Why would that be?
10:17
[SPEAKER_01]: That's not surprising.
10:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, okay, so like I kind of think that Orange is the worst color.
10:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like it.
10:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that yellow can be in a salt on your eyes in a way that like few colors can be.
10:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yellow is one of the worst colors.
10:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Like if I'm thinking like what's the best warm color?
10:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably red.
10:39
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good route.
10:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
10:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I have a problem with purple people because they're so passionate about purple because they should be.
10:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, every single
10:55
[SPEAKER_01]: into purple that it gives me the it.
10:58
[SPEAKER_00]: That's very fair because the purple people are passionate.
11:02
[SPEAKER_00]: They are like passionate purple lovers.
11:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I saw TikTok the other day that feels very similar to this where it's like people it's like the thing is like oh people who like tomatoes.
11:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like oh tomatoes are great.
11:12
[SPEAKER_00]: People who like cucumbers.
11:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh community cucumbers are great.
11:14
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like people who like pickles.
11:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I fucking love pickles.
11:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
11:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like it's the same thing with the color purple that, like, if you love the color purple, you love the color purple.
11:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
11:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
11:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And people that are passionate scare me that's fair.
11:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I know because you rarely get super super passionate about any particular thing.
11:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's tough, but it makes me it just might be like purposes are just like, oh, okay, then I don't want to be there because like even I've liked purple if I said like, oh, like that purple thing is nice, then I would have somebody like you like pushing purple down my throat, yeah, but when I was a baby, they didn't know what I was going to be so they painted my
11:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, my roomy yellow, um, so yellow was my favorite color when I was a little old.
12:02
[SPEAKER_00]: That's very interesting.
12:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Mine was blue because I was very much a kid who was like, um, I like boy things, blue is a boy color.
12:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I like blue, you know, colors aren't gendered, but yeah, when I was a kid, that was how I felt.
12:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
12:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I think now that I'm older, I do think there are shades of every color that I enjoy.
12:23
[SPEAKER_00]: But like, if I had to pick a color that the shade of which I dislike the most shades of, it's probably yellow.
12:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it like green, you could find a lovely green to enjoy.
12:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Like orange, at least I do a lot of lovely greens to enjoy.
12:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I do, I think green is calming.
12:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like nature.
12:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's nice.
12:44
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, why does every single room in your house have to be green?
12:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Literally.
12:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Only two rooms are green, currently.
12:52
[SPEAKER_01]: currently in the current moment.
12:55
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll tell you, three rooms are green in the but the plans are for nine rooms in the house.
13:03
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lovely, all different shades, all different.
13:05
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, how many greens can I choose?
13:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It just happened.
13:09
[SPEAKER_00]: It just happened.
13:10
[SPEAKER_00]: any of your walls neutral at all?
13:14
[SPEAKER_00]: The only walls that are neutral currently are the walls that were like that when we moved in.
13:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Any room that I have like read, except the kitchen, the kitchen is still neutral.
13:25
[SPEAKER_00]: But any room that I have read done has a color on it now.
13:29
[SPEAKER_01]: No, so like next year we're like probably going to buy and like I just came and fathom me painting any room any color.
13:36
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I just enjoy color.
13:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I enjoy it.
13:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I just I personally it brings me joy to see color.
13:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I would go further honestly if I if I could.
13:50
[SPEAKER_00]: But.
13:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, um, I don't even know how we got here.
13:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the yellow crayon.
13:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so, yeah.
13:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, so right.
14:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll look at back and no one can see her.
14:01
[SPEAKER_00]: They can't see the, they can't see below.
14:04
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll look can't see them.
14:05
[SPEAKER_00]: We get a lot of this like
14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: of like, oh, then they go home and Willow's not there.
14:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And Willow goes home and they're not there.
14:12
[SPEAKER_01]: There's, but there, there does seem to be like sounds.
14:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they can hear certain sounds.
14:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's somebody like drop something and somebody or something.
14:22
[SPEAKER_01]: The mechanism was us.
14:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really understand because eventually, when below was talking about trying to find them, she was like, oh, it said that they didn't exist.
14:36
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, I don't know who was in the real reality if anybody.
14:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
14:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Especially because it was like, it wasn't just that she was invisible, but like, okay, way, way, way later, when she's like the Ania and the Scoobies are like saving her and Ania can see Willow, she's like Xander, you're just like, feet are inside of her.
14:57
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, how does that work?
14:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Wouldn't you bump into her at least there'd be like a physical,
15:02
[SPEAKER_01]: thing, if she's just invisible, they'd even try to show what that would look like.
15:06
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, oh, so I like I said, like I don't know like which ones the real reality or like who was really there, who really wasn't there.
15:14
[SPEAKER_01]: It gets like a little fuzzy.
15:17
[SPEAKER_01]: They kind of got a yada, but it's fine.
15:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I if you want to like nitpick, that's like kind of a big nitpick.
15:24
[SPEAKER_01]: It's
15:24
[SPEAKER_00]: It's annoying.
15:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a little silly.
15:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I do like the general like emotionality of like what they have to work through this episode where we'll kind of have to get over the fact that she's very worried about if they'll even accept her back into the Scoobies and the Scoobies are worried of like how she actually gotten better like as she able to manage the magic in a way she wasn't able to
15:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Before, and of course, all of this being exacerbated by the fact that a skinless dude is found, you know?
16:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I think the question is, like, would you?
16:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know what I want, except willow?
16:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, who's your closest friend?
16:11
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a girl.
16:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say you, let's say, let's keep it local to the podcast, right?
16:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I just don't even feel like that's true.
16:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was kind of...
16:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what you're supposed to be.
16:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so are you willow in this scenario?
16:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, say I messed up big time.
16:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I messed up big time.
16:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I did something.
16:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what I did.
16:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, obviously I didn't kill you or your dogs, but like, I did something.
16:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
16:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I went away for a while and I come back and like for whatever reason you're the only one that could pick me up from the airport.
16:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, are you forgiving me?
16:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Would you forgive me in this situation?
16:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Would you forgive the willow?
16:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I personally feel like I would need you like seeing is believing for me.
16:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I would want to have an interaction with you and like see how you were and I think the fact that they can't have that interaction.
17:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the fact that they can't have the interaction, and not only that, but they're like, what did Willow just like get off the plane?
17:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what happened to her did she just go rogue?
17:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And they find this skinless dude, which we've seen her do before.
17:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I feel like it's very fair of them to be suspicious of this situation, because I would be suspicious as well.
17:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would pick you up from the airport.
17:38
[SPEAKER_01]: That's very nice.
17:38
[SPEAKER_00]: That would be so sad.
17:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, granted that nowadays it's very different.
17:42
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't just be like literally right there outside the plane.
17:45
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but you can like do the whole circle thing.
17:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I would do that.
17:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would definitely do that.
17:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I would have a sign.
17:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I would have like flowers or something.
17:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I would just have a nice.
17:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I would pick you up from the airport.
17:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you would be weary.
17:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you wouldn't like come back and be like, oh,
18:02
[SPEAKER_01]: everything's going to be fine, like, just blind.
18:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
18:06
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I wouldn't.
18:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I would be the Dawn.
18:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing that I love about Dawn is I also partially feel like it's a little, like it's coming from like a little petty place because she's like, I'm the Willow now.
18:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the researcher now.
18:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Bicina is not coming back for her spot.
18:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it has your position has been filled.
18:29
[SPEAKER_01]: your position has been filled.
18:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I am now doing your job.
18:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Someone say better, someone say better, because at least I don't get attracted.
18:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not reading havoc.
18:40
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you come back, then what do you end up doing?
18:43
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to take my job back?
18:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm fine.
18:46
[SPEAKER_01]: We have a redundancy in the office.
18:49
[SPEAKER_01]: have a physician within the scubies.
18:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Now Willow can fulfill a different position.
18:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she does have powers.
18:57
[SPEAKER_01]: She can do her magic.
19:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe sometimes if she doesn't take advantage.
19:04
[SPEAKER_01]: So there is another position that Willow can fill, but Dawn's doing a really good job with the researchers.
19:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I love this.
19:12
[SPEAKER_00]: She knows about viscera.
19:14
[SPEAKER_00]: She immediately finds figures out what demon this is and she's correct about it.
19:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate that there is one point where she on their way to go save willow or something.
19:28
[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying, they're using spike to follow the blood trail.
19:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I really love Don being like, we could just do this like clean detective work.
19:37
[SPEAKER_00]: We're smart.
19:38
[SPEAKER_00]: We could do this.
19:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate her attitude about the whole thing because, yeah, like, two thirds of the Scoobies had powers, right?
19:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Like Xanard and how many powers, but Willow did and so to then be without those powers and be without jiles, which is an important thing to mention.
19:56
[SPEAKER_00]: They're a little bit at a loss sometimes and I really appreciate that Donna's like we've got this guys like who needs willow we don't need her even if she's gone local banana kuku pants.
20:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we can handle this ourselves.
20:08
[SPEAKER_01]: They also lost Tara.
20:10
[SPEAKER_01]: They also lost on you like the Scooby.
20:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he also lost that ugly guy.
20:17
[SPEAKER_00]: If you just called Clim Ugly, no, not him.
20:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God, okay, who's the other guy?
20:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, what is his name?
20:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, no, he's not even like, the where-wolf.
20:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Why may so mean to him?
20:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you really mean to him?
20:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm forgetting his name now too, so.
20:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
20:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It is Seth Green.
20:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it like Bo?
20:39
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I need to look this up, say what I'm saying is that they really don't have us.
20:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not working with a full deck of cards is what I'm saying.
20:52
[SPEAKER_00]: They're really down to like bear bear bones at this point because Zander fucked things up with Ania.
20:59
[SPEAKER_00]: She had to go back to Venshin's team in England, which
21:02
[SPEAKER_00]: doesn't seem to be working super well for her now.
21:05
[SPEAKER_00]: She can't even teleport because she got that taken away because she fucked up the whole swerved slug thing.
21:13
[SPEAKER_00]: She can't even teleport anymore, which is true.
21:15
[SPEAKER_01]: No, which I also liked the fact that there was repercussions for her taking back.
21:25
[SPEAKER_01]: that punishment.
21:26
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was a really good way the show could be like this is why I can't teleport anymore because it's too easy for her so they're like, I thought it was a perfect working in of that whole thing.
21:38
[SPEAKER_01]: The mechanism was broken because she really could have taken full advantage.
21:42
[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought it was funny.
21:43
[SPEAKER_01]: The line was like turns out teleporting is a privilege, not a right.
21:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And I like how she can still teleport but only for work.
21:52
[SPEAKER_00]: She has to write down her mileage.
21:54
[SPEAKER_00]: How far did you drive your only getting compensated for certain things?
21:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And it me the the spreadsheet.
22:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm recording my hours for work.
22:04
[SPEAKER_01]: It is absolutely the worst.
22:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And I bullshit it 100% at the time.
22:09
[SPEAKER_00]: to do like hours of like what you do like you spend extra time doing this or that.
22:15
[SPEAKER_00]: We're clients.
22:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not full.
22:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I see for many normal work, but um okay, but if I'm doing client specific work and we have to build for that time.
22:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
22:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so annoying.
22:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just doing it like every day or every week.
22:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And then like all the time, like, you know, August 30th comes around and I'm like punching in those out.
22:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
22:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're not supposed to do that.
22:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's busy work.
22:40
[SPEAKER_00]: No one likes it.
22:41
[SPEAKER_00]: On it isn't like this is the bureaucracy behind vengeance, demoning that we didn't know existed.
22:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which I like that there is all this shit.
22:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's interesting.
22:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Because we have been arguing for this for the slayer since season 1.
22:59
[SPEAKER_00]: We've been arguing for workers, comp, and benefits, and pay.
23:04
[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting it with on you now.
23:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, that's the thing.
23:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we're complaining about how, like, it is a bunch of bullshit that they have to deal with this.
23:11
[SPEAKER_01]: But then there's, like, good and they're bad, you know?
23:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's fun to see that it's a part of the gig.
23:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's fun to see that it's actually taken into account.
23:19
[SPEAKER_01]: It just reminds me so much of the movie Toothless, and with Kirstie Alley, which I always talk about, and you look so much about to, it's all I think you have to watch it one day, because I'm well, because it's exactly like this.
23:35
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of paper work that they show, which is just the info structure of how Toothless works of you die, and then this is the job you're given.
23:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it's just, it's, it made an impact on me.
23:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
23:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
23:53
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I feel that way about, um, oh, what was it called?
23:59
[SPEAKER_00]: A dead like me, um, I brought this show up a bunch of times too, where like the woman dies and she becomes a a Reaper and it's like, that's a job.
24:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Like she has to work as a job as a reaper.
24:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like they reheated toothlesses, no, shows is what it sounds like.
24:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, except it's not too far.
24:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Grim Reaper.
24:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but still, if that's probably just another job that Kirstie Alley didn't get.
24:22
[SPEAKER_01]: So,
24:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, basically what ends up happening is everyone realizes that it's this demon, this neural, that is like causing problems, and what dawn gets sliced, and apparently within this things like fingernails, it paralyzes you so that it can then rip your skin off and eat it.
24:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and I really, I did think the physical comedy of Dawn being paralyzed was quite good.
24:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought everyone did a great job.
24:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Michelle Trachtenberg was really funny.
24:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And I really loved onus interactions with like putting the TV remote in our hands and everything.
25:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because.
25:04
[SPEAKER_01]: because they're like, oh my gosh, she's going to throw up and choke on it and like don's like rock, rock, rock, rock, rock and then so then they like sit her up and then they're like, oh, well, we're going to leave on you.
25:16
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to help us and yeah, they put the remote in the hands so that she'll be entertained but she can't turn on the TV or turn off the TV.
25:25
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like a
25:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but they all end up in the cave simultaneously with the norrow, like literally peeling with a low skin, some, and then the end you're right, it was like strips.
25:43
[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, it was wrong.
25:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they indulged way too much in these scenes.
25:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
25:50
[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, like, he was just a nasty mother fucker this guy.
25:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Very gallum S. In the way that I did not like an ugly shit.
25:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, what about that like Marauder's map that we saw Willow playing with?
26:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it was very similar to when her entire did that spell.
26:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't they do a very similar spell and terror like,
26:14
[SPEAKER_00]: through the dust under the rug, because she was worried she was part demon and didn't want Willow to know.
26:19
[SPEAKER_00]: This was like two seasons ago.
26:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I do remember that.
26:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was the same spell.
26:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it was.
26:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was really cool.
26:26
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a map of the city and the little lights indicated who, like, different people.
26:34
[SPEAKER_01]: And if, like, there was like a bright light and then they're like, oh, that's the demon because, yeah, it's the brightest light.
26:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's like where it is.
26:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a specific spell to locate demons.
26:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And like you could see where the hell mouth was, there was like a lot of activity.
26:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I love to, on your being like, that's me.
26:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I thought that was really cool.
26:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that it was pretty, and like, useful spell.
27:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like that.
27:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Willow got on yet to do some magic with her.
27:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, far cry from, like I said, well, it was never been very kind to on ya, uh, it was fun getting to see them do like a little buddy cop sort of a situation.
27:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And on you really does come to the rescue.
27:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
27:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And she was so proud of herself that she was being so helpful that day.
27:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I love her so much.
27:26
[SPEAKER_00]: She has no reason to want to help Willow.
27:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's be very clear.
27:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Because number one, I feel like when Willow approaches onya outside of the magic shop, the magic box.
27:42
[SPEAKER_00]: She's so obviously only concerned about like, oh, where's the Fiendsander?
27:45
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm sorry, but maybe the first thing out of your mouth should be in a apology to onya.
27:53
[SPEAKER_00]: You obviously she's coming out of here with like cinched boxes of shit.
27:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just feel like she will It's nice Can do vengeance on her but then on you is like well, if you want it, it's not as fun Yeah, so she she could have at least pretended that like
28:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, please don't do vengeance on me.
28:15
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
28:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Like Willowkman.
28:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she tried, she tried.
28:21
[SPEAKER_01]: But I liked that, Ania was also just like not forgiving and she was also a little bit, and she held, but like at first she was wearing.
28:30
[SPEAKER_01]: She was just like, are you here to kill me?
28:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you finish your, I'm sorry, I'm gonna be a good witch classes, and Willow was like, no.
28:42
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have probably finished her.
28:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a good witch class.
28:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know how I don't know how Giles let her get away with like leaving early.
28:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's like the helmet is just so bad.
28:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but like Let's face it previously.
28:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Willow was a wizard.
29:00
[SPEAKER_00]: A bad wizard.
29:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Now she's a druid, because she's like taking magic from the earth, right?
29:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, she probably should have finished druid classes, because I feel like there's some shit she probably is like, you know what I mean?
29:14
[SPEAKER_00]: She's missing all like the upper level stuff, probably.
29:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Come.
29:17
[SPEAKER_00]: uh well she has so she has to train she has to learn maybe there's a local coven she can like get involved with and like learn a little more try to the school but there are all fake witches remember that except my god that's how we met Tara the black magic yes um that is so true we did try and they were all liars and fakes
29:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's go on with Spike, do we know yet?
29:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, at this point, he wasn't even losing his mind, he was seeing both of them in speaking the truth.
29:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but he still was speaking a gibberish, gibberish.
29:55
[SPEAKER_00]: He always says, right?
29:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's just part of the stick now.
29:58
[SPEAKER_01]: So he loves that he did a bunch of bad things.
30:04
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's still Mason's side because he has a soul back.
30:08
[SPEAKER_00]: That is what I think we were just back burnering spikes story line this episode in favor of like getting willow back.
30:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there was like, yeah, I think it was just like, okay, we're going to use spike in a one or two scenes, have him sniff out the blood, and that's pretty much it.
30:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we haven't really moved the needle on his storyline at all.
30:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was kind of still yapping.
30:40
[SPEAKER_01]: He was saying, like, oh, I can't even look at Buffy.
30:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't deserve it.
30:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Something along those lines.
30:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
30:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah.
30:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I mess when he was kind of cool.
30:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this isn't my favorite spike, but it's better than rapy spike, so an improvement for short.
31:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that is true.
31:01
[SPEAKER_01]: That is true.
31:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I got the bar is solo.
31:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so solo was in the ground.
31:08
[SPEAKER_01]: That is an improvement.
31:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want your right to up out?
31:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, beyond that, we get
31:17
[SPEAKER_00]: of the very end, we kind of talked a little bit about willow meditating.
31:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So we kind of see her doing some of this more druidic sort of magic.
31:25
[SPEAKER_00]: She's using magic from the earth to regrow her skin, which is so fucking gross.
31:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I was going to say it's really cool.
31:32
[SPEAKER_00]: It is, but it's also disgusting to think about because I specifically can't un-picture this spaghetti strips of skin.
31:40
[SPEAKER_01]: There's, there's been a lot of, I just watched, there's this show, I think I told you about it, it's like so helped me got if you say ducks.
31:50
[SPEAKER_01]: So I helped me guide in the season.
31:53
[SPEAKER_01]: There was this guy, this killer, and he was the Skinner.
31:57
[SPEAKER_01]: He was the Skinner.
31:58
[SPEAKER_01]: He was the Narrow.
32:00
[SPEAKER_01]: People.
32:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
32:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Just Narrow.
32:03
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the Narrow.
32:03
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just Narrow.
32:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Carl the Narrow.
32:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Carl the Narrow.
32:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And he was a Skinner too.
32:10
[SPEAKER_01]: And I just kept thinking about that indie show that Dexter, no one ever talks about it.
32:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
32:16
[SPEAKER_00]: What season are you on of Dexter?
32:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm on four.
32:20
[SPEAKER_01]: prize Jesus at the best season.
32:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I really like this show a lot actually.
32:24
[SPEAKER_01]: You want to talk about like a good show?
32:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if anybody knows about this, but textures are really good stuff.
32:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no one knows about it.
32:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It certainly hasn't had like three or four reboot slash spin-offs, I can't believe that, but this show is really good.
32:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I laid it a lot.
32:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Probably my favorite thing that I've watched in a good, hot minute.
32:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
32:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
32:47
[SPEAKER_01]: That's my, I mean, I'm sad, and nobody really appreciated it and no one talks about it, you know.
32:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, anyway, Buffy and Willow make up, uh, and basically Willow admits, oh, as my fall, I wasn't visible.
33:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I was really scared about seeing you guys again, and I really enjoyed, like, Willow doing the meditation and she's like, well, I'm weak.
33:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have enough power to, like, fully heal myself.
33:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And Buffy, like, offers her her own magic, her own little, slayer magic to help with the healing process.
33:24
[SPEAKER_01]: We just like support like I know how holds your might your hands to know.
33:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I think she literally was giving up some of her strength to help heal Willow.
33:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I didn't even know she was able to do that.
33:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I think Willow is able to kind of Oh, take all it out.
33:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
33:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Buffy has extra, you know.
33:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate the healing spell.
33:46
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's
33:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I think healing spells are really cool.
33:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a fan.
33:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that it was, she was able to grow her skin back.
33:56
[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, and that she got the support.
34:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And like I, I was talking about earlier, I thought that it was a good conversation to have of like,
34:05
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I got to be honest with you, like I was like really nervous for you to come back.
34:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't really like there when I saw the skinner, skinned skinned person.
34:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it could be you and she was like wait a minute.
34:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I kind of thought it was me too.
34:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so simply because, well, I guess maybe it's a little concerning.
34:37
[SPEAKER_00]: But the way I'm looking at it was like this was magic.
34:41
[SPEAKER_00]: that to protect herself, but obviously, I mean, she even admits though, right?
34:47
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, well, I, you know, obviously don't have everything under control.
34:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Really, she admits that.
34:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that is like a very good sign that she's aware that she still has a lot to learn.
34:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And I, again, I cannot say how much I appreciate the fact that we have found our way.
35:04
[SPEAKER_00]: We have found some sort of a plot reason
35:08
[SPEAKER_00]: where magic is no longer drugs like because like it's like wizard magic magic has drugs drew magic is not it's out natural baby it's the weed of magic like I appreciate that so much because I was so freaking sick and tired of the magic has drug storyline yeah but yeah I don't think it's great that she can't control her magic 100%
35:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, it is concerning, but it is a good, it's kind of one of those things that, oh, like, because you're aware of it, that is better than, like, you're not being aware of it.
35:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it needs to admit there's an issue.
35:45
[SPEAKER_01]: That's good, right?
35:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's good.
35:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's for separate, admitting you have a problem.
35:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
35:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
35:53
[SPEAKER_00]: But that was our, that was our episode of Buffy.
35:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, I think it was a little bit of like a,
35:58
[SPEAKER_00]: stepping stone episode of like now we're getting a low back, but I did appreciate some of the silly bits.
36:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I did it very much appreciate on you I love her so much.
36:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I did one of the lines that really cracked me up was when willow She says something about like and almost says the word bunny in front of will in front of onion then like switches What she's gonna say and they look that onion gives her like don't you dare don't you go from it
36:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay, shall we get into courties corner because we have two episodes to like touch on today.
36:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me ask you, did you watch any of Angel?
36:30
[SPEAKER_00]: No, have you watched, okay, great.
36:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So season four episode two is called Ground to State.
36:36
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the one we missed because the way we watch, it was down whatever.
36:41
[SPEAKER_00]: We made this cool aspect.
36:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me tell you, there's this cool Gwen.
36:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Gwen loves that name.
36:48
[SPEAKER_00]: iconic.
36:49
[SPEAKER_00]: She we start off the episode with like a flashback to her as like a young kid.
36:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Turns out Gwen has a gift in that if she touches someone, it's giving X-Men, okay?
37:02
[SPEAKER_00]: If she touches someone, she like zaps them, she like burns them.
37:07
[SPEAKER_00]: So her parents sent her away to the school,
37:10
[SPEAKER_00]: She is cast aside.
37:13
[SPEAKER_00]: She has to wear mittens all the time.
37:14
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, always eating alone.
37:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And a boy goes up to her teacher's on paying attention.
37:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And he offers her a toy car when she touches it.
37:22
[SPEAKER_00]: The toy car is like burnt to a crisp.
37:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And the boy is like unconscious.
37:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Whipsy, that just reminds me of, yeah, X-Men.
37:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's very X-Men, right?
37:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I was not to say it reminds me of American Heart Story Coven, but it's, she also melted something, but it was with her hoo ha, and the person, the thing that she melted was a human.
37:52
[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, his dick?
37:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay, that makes sense.
37:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
37:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, so Gwen is, so now we get her as an adult.
38:04
[SPEAKER_00]: She has such an outfit.
38:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It's giving early season spuffy of like all leather, but like it's like a cute little like sports bra moment.
38:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's so good.
38:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, okay, I love Gwen.
38:17
[SPEAKER_00]: The minute I met Gwen, I was like this bitch best day around because she is very, very fun.
38:24
[SPEAKER_00]: So, she is like very much like a heist bitch, right?
38:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile, the rest of the crew, west of Courtney's crew here, is searchin' for Courtney, cause they're like, the fuck is this bitch?
38:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what happened to her?
38:38
[SPEAKER_00]: they try to get Dennis to help, but he's just upset because she's been gone for so long.
38:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, all this stuff happens.
38:48
[SPEAKER_00]: They end up bumping into Gwen.
38:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Her and Angel are like,
38:53
[SPEAKER_00]: fighting, but there is heat.
38:55
[SPEAKER_00]: There is a passion.
38:57
[SPEAKER_00]: She at one point shocks his chest.
39:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
39:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like very confused as to like why it doesn't do anything because he's a vampire.
39:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she puts her hands on his bare chest.
39:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
39:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And it like starts his heart beat.
39:18
[SPEAKER_00]: which obviously doesn't only happen because he's a vampire.
39:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's this big search of energy and they start making out baby and it was great.
39:28
[SPEAKER_00]: But hold up, I felt that he was in love with Cordelia.
39:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was a heat of the moment, sort of a thing.
39:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even care.
39:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like Cordelia who like angel and Gwen please.
39:39
[SPEAKER_00]: This is great.
39:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
39:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
39:41
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
39:42
[SPEAKER_00]: So, Dan.
39:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
39:45
[SPEAKER_00]: So as all this is happening, they get like trapped in this elevator, um, and angel like kind of comes to his senses like I guess that I think it was the heartbeat thing that really like sent his emotions wild.
39:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and
40:00
[SPEAKER_00]: It turns out Gwen has been working for Elliott who I think is like a member of the like law firm situation who cares he calls her a freak he sends gas into the elevator trying to kill her angel luckily doesn't have to breathe so he is able to like break out and like short circuit the situation.
40:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Gwen is about to kill Elliot but Angel stops her and yeah it's basically Gwen ends up leaving which I was very devastated because I was hoping Gwen would join the crew because she's a queen and iconic and I really hope she comes back at some point.
40:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And meanwhile, everyone's like, where are, where is Cordelia?
40:43
[SPEAKER_00]: blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and Cordelia is like literally in the air being like, get me out of here, like what's wrong with you?
40:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Like someone, please, um, and that's how that episode ends.
40:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, not a bad episode, mostly because I thought Gwen was like very, very fun.
40:59
[SPEAKER_01]: But again, I don't think she's coming back.
41:01
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't think she's coming back.
41:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay, so she's not back the next episode.
41:07
[SPEAKER_00]: No, she is not in the next episode.
41:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, she may come back like, I wouldn't be surprised if they like tap on her to come back later on.
41:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
41:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but no, she was not in the next episode, which honestly, in my opinion, I thought that this episode was one of the better episodes of Angel that I've seen.
41:27
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
41:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly.
41:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Mostly.
41:31
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, sorry, not the episode we just talked about this.
41:33
[SPEAKER_00]: This episode I'm about to talk about.
41:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
41:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's the next episode called The House Always Winsed.
41:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, poker.
41:42
[SPEAKER_00]: We are going to Vegas, baby.
41:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, okay.
41:48
[SPEAKER_00]: So the crew basically gets on the road and goes to Vegas because they want to visit Lauren to see if he can help find Quarty.
41:57
[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like really annoyed because when they find Lauren, he's doing, first of all, they allow Lauren to like a full ass like musical number, which was really, really fun.
42:08
[SPEAKER_00]: During the musical number, he gets, he does the whole kind of like give the mic to the audience, thing like individual people and they kind of sing.
42:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And he fall on ignores the crew in the audience and they're like very disappointed and like what the hell he's so big time now well it turns out he is stuck working for this asshole who runs the casino and basically this this whole musical thing is a stick so like when someone sings more and uses his powers to like see their like future where their feelings or whatever because you know how he has that gift.
42:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of course, um and he's forced to tell these like casino people about it and then they get these people to like I don't know they like
42:58
[SPEAKER_00]: get in their heads somehow and then they take advantage and they make them just like bet, bet, bet, bet all this money and they never win.
43:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So everything is rigged basically.
43:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
43:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the the crew kind of figures out about this.
43:14
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a really funny scene where Fred is forced to dress up like one of the waiters.
43:20
[SPEAKER_00]: and she has to like wear green paint because the waiters look like Lauren.
43:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So she has to wear this like whole as get up to go in and see Lauren.
43:30
[SPEAKER_01]: She did green face.
43:32
[SPEAKER_01]: That's so in a green face.
43:33
[SPEAKER_00]: She's wearing this like cute little slutty little outfit.
43:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's very funny.
43:40
[SPEAKER_00]: They're basically trying to help save Lauren.
43:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile,
43:44
[SPEAKER_00]: angel somehow ends up in the situation where he gets like chipped so then he is like bedding bedding bedding bedding bedding bedding and they don't realize it at first.
43:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So he's kind of out of a commission for that part.
43:57
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's really just like a fun kind of off campus episode where they're in Vegas, like fucking around at a casino.
44:04
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
44:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds interesting.
44:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think.
44:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Very silly, but the big thing comes at the end.
44:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So they eventually get more and out of the situation, which is great.
44:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And when the rest of them come back to the hotel,
44:22
[SPEAKER_00]: they enter in and see Cordelia just standing in the lobby and she has no idea who they are.
44:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So we're doing an amnesia storyline.
44:32
[SPEAKER_00]: How do we get here?
44:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
44:35
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't even, we have no idea what happened with Cordelia.
44:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought she was an angel.
44:40
[SPEAKER_00]: She was.
44:41
[SPEAKER_00]: She didn't like it very much, but she was.
44:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And she was like floaty in the sky.
44:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, anytime we got caught that, that is what I would say is my biggest gripe with the past two episodes of Angel is, we're really barely getting cordy content.
44:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's always like she's floating up in the sky with like a little one liner.
44:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
45:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So now she's back and she has amnesia.
45:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So that will be interesting.
45:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
45:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And then it just like ended with them being like Cordelia and she's like who are you?
45:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.
45:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, yeah.
45:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the episode ends.
45:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
45:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So she's now back, but like has no fucking clue who these people are, which is obviously we have to postpone the angel cordie get together because she has amnesia.
45:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
45:25
[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably going to be like her love for him.
45:27
[SPEAKER_00]: This would bring
45:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
45:33
[SPEAKER_00]: What about Gwen?
45:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I Google.
45:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I might be the world's biggest wedding fan.
45:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I Google terrain.
45:39
[SPEAKER_00]: She's pretty pretty hot.
45:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
45:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought so too.
45:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see the red outfit that I was talking about?
45:45
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I was just looking at her hair.
45:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, her hair is gorgeous.
45:49
[SPEAKER_01]: So gorgeous.
45:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'll be Google.
45:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, no, I thought she was great.
45:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was honestly pretty that that she was in this outfit's fire.
46:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love this.
46:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
46:01
[SPEAKER_00]: If it wasn't a get it, if it giving early seasons buffy, where she used to wear a lot more pleasure.
46:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's this other outfit, she's wearing other pleasure.
46:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just love a like X-Men sort of like girl has weird powers is called a freak like his outcast, you know?
46:18
[SPEAKER_00]: She's pretty cool.
46:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I hope they bring her back.
46:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Who knows, they might.
46:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, also Wesley is still fucking Lila or whatever her face is, and they're like nasty about it.
46:30
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like kinky about it.
46:31
[SPEAKER_00]: They're a bunch of freaks.
46:33
[SPEAKER_00]: They are a bunch of freaks.
46:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
46:35
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like really into it.
46:37
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
46:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So, is he bad now?
46:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Or is he just, he's still good, ish, I guess.
46:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Alexa, Daverlose.
46:47
[SPEAKER_01]: is to play as Gwen, that's the actor.
46:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Alexa, Davilose.
46:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
46:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm hoping she comes back because I thought she was a very fun character that I would love to see return.
47:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Like her ability to just restart angel tar are you serious?
47:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's so cool.
47:06
[SPEAKER_00]: and did it just stop after them?
47:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was very temporary.
47:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's kind of like a, like if you did the clear and then you did it and it like got the heart beating but only for like a second.
47:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Got it.
47:18
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
47:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, fascinating.
47:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
47:22
[SPEAKER_01]: It's in course we try and to watch it or know, I would say.
47:27
[SPEAKER_00]: of the two episodes, I definitely would argue the Vegas episodes more fun.
47:33
[SPEAKER_00]: It's more hijinks, but I would, if you're going to watch either one of them, I would, I would like 1.5 to exit, you know what I mean?
47:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I would like, no, listen, anyone who wants to come for me, people would busy.
47:46
[SPEAKER_00]: We got schedules.
47:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
47:48
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to watch any of them, I would more suggest the Vegas one, or if you're going to watch the other one, just watch the Gwen parts because those are the fun
47:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Where's Connor in all of this?
48:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he was around.
48:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember him being involved in literally any of this.
48:05
[SPEAKER_00]: What is he still alive?
48:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Are we still keeping him?
48:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's alive.
48:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, his name isn't Hunter.
48:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I truly think I had like an aneurysm or something.
48:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Stephen.
48:18
[SPEAKER_00]: His name is Stephen Connor.
48:19
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like not Hunter.
48:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Not Hunter.
48:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he could be a three-name or who cares, you know?
48:26
[SPEAKER_00]: in my heart.
48:26
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny.
48:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I just make shit up that happens on Angel.
48:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I could have, I will be totally 100% honest.
48:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I did rewatch buffy today.
48:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I did not rewatch the Angel episode.
48:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So my knowledge of these Angel episodes is at least a week old.
48:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a potential that I totally made shit up also, which is more fun.
48:46
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know.
48:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like it.
48:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you have no clue.
48:50
[SPEAKER_00]: All the people probably know, but that's not our problem.
48:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not my business.
48:55
[SPEAKER_01]: My circus not my monkeys.
48:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's pretty much what happens.
49:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and Lauren did sing a song about being green.
49:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So we love that kind of thing.
49:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I love that Kurt or that Lauren's not dead.
49:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember that one time where we were like, oh, he died and we came.
49:16
[SPEAKER_01]: They literally chopped this fucking head off.
49:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad that that didn't like become a thing.
49:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Me too.
49:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what's next week's episode is called.
49:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so next week for Buffy, season seven episode four, help.
49:32
[SPEAKER_00]: We got the Beatles coming to town.
49:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
49:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Angel is season four episode four, slouching toward Bethlehem.
49:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, hey, whatever angel.
49:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Fido, okay, grandpa.
49:50
[SPEAKER_00]: We're just slouching towards Bethlehem.
49:52
[SPEAKER_00]: We did get an email from Justin.
49:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, ladies.
49:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It's your friendly neighborhood Canadian Justin here.
49:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that you both are doing well.
50:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I've had some stuff happen in life recently.
50:02
[SPEAKER_00]: It's got me pretty busy.
50:04
[SPEAKER_00]: One of those being getting more time in the wrestling ring, Justin.
50:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
50:09
[SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.
50:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to know if this is like WWE or if this is like when you wear the like leotards.
50:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is one of them is real and one of them is like a show you're saying, okay, like when we were in high school and yeah, there was a wrestling team.
50:26
[SPEAKER_01]: God.
50:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
50:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I got it.
50:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Even having a couple matches, so unfortunately I fall in behind and listening to your podcast, I hope to catch up before you're done.
50:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not too far behind.
50:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Just have to plow through my favorite season six.
50:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Just and I'm so sorry.
50:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so sorry Justin, you're in for a ride and catch up on season 7 and I'm good.
50:48
[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I can't wait for in my binge to catch up on is once more with feeling it's my favorite episode of the series for obvious reasons and getting to hear daddy giles singing voice again and spicing into if I hadn't already known about myself this show and that episode specifically definitely would have been my bisexual awakening that's incredible.
51:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still hoping you guys will check out at least the first blade movie for Marvel.
51:13
[SPEAKER_00]: That's so funny.
51:13
[SPEAKER_00]: We just talked about Marvel.
51:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you want to keep on the vampire theme, the way Justin closed at this email very much cracked me up and is just the sign of like probably when the last time he listened to the podcast was because he signs off all the best to you both and here's hoping you have an easy pregnancy Sarah.
51:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
51:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Sarah's pregnancy is over.
51:39
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a baby.
51:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's so poor months old now
51:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh my god, Justin, you are, right?
51:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Just really cracked me up.
51:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, thank you so much for writing in Justin and hopefully eventually you get to hear this email read back once you reach this question.
51:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Justin, I feel bad.
51:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also apologies if we trashed season six too hard because you'll walk away.
52:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like we were nice about it from my memory.
52:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
52:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You definitely were.
52:13
[SPEAKER_00]: There's so nice.
52:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always nice, so, you know, famously.
52:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, anyway, you've been watching Dexter.
52:21
[SPEAKER_00]: You're on season four of Dexter.
52:23
[SPEAKER_01]: My new favorite show.
52:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I love Dexter.
52:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Favorite show.
52:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Anything else you've been watching?
52:28
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
52:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of was watching Dexter house wise, but honestly, I just want to watch Dexter.
52:34
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm watching, like, whatnot, which is stupid.
52:38
[SPEAKER_01]: What is whatnot?
52:40
[SPEAKER_00]: It's that shopping.
52:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Not to wear.
52:41
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
52:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
52:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, what not.
52:44
[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
52:44
[SPEAKER_00]: It's an.
52:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
52:45
[SPEAKER_01]: This is in a TV show.
52:46
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not where.
52:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, right.
52:49
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all closed.
52:50
[SPEAKER_01]: This is essentially, like, I'm watching QVC.
52:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's very QVC.
52:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, um, willing.
52:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I binged Margo's got.
53:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it money problems?
53:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Many troubles.
53:02
[SPEAKER_00]: money and troubles.
53:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Money troubles.
53:03
[SPEAKER_00]: We watched that recently, really enjoyed it.
53:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like all the acting was like 10 out of 10.
53:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I watched that a while ago, yeah.
53:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, where we were behind.
53:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And then recently, I've been watching some desperate housewives as well.
53:18
[SPEAKER_00]: But honestly, I've been listening to a lot more audio books than anything else recently.
53:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm very sweet.
53:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, like the thing is is I found that I was having trouble sleeping and I know it's bad for me to like watch a screen right before beds.
53:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm much better off if I'm listening to a book while I'm falling asleep.
53:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So I've been doing that a lot more.
53:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I got into this series called, it's like the Finley, excuse me, Finley Donovan series.
53:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We're basically
53:44
[SPEAKER_00]: This woman is a writer like she's an author and she writes like thriller romance sorts of things.
53:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Someone over here starts talking to her agent and thinks that she is an actual assassin, like a hired assassin.
53:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So they try to hire her to like kill their husband.
54:02
[SPEAKER_00]: She gets into all sorts of shenanigans.
54:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on the third book now and it is very fun.
54:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a very light.
54:08
[SPEAKER_00]: easy read.
54:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're in the, I would, I would definitely like say it's kind of like a beach read sort of a thing.
54:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so, but that's basically all I've been doing.
54:18
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, I think my goal this year because I've been such a bad reader is reading a certain number of books is just stick to reading zero books.
54:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
54:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So you're what is it called when you in like poker when you're like you're betting nil you're like I'm shooting the star shooting for the sky shooting for the stars or whatever.
54:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
54:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean at this three my is well just very funny zero.
54:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how many I I haven't honestly been keeping track because I did so poorly in the very very beginning of the year that I was like nervous.
54:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh I read nine books.
54:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay that's not too bad.
54:56
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like not a great reading.
54:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I do think
55:02
[SPEAKER_01]: has kept.
55:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I did read a book called One to Watch where it basically was like this girl is the first ever plus size contestant on the bachelor, right?
55:13
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that it's not called the bachelor, right?
55:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But it basically is the bachelor, right?
55:17
[SPEAKER_00]: That was actually a very good read.
55:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I really enjoyed that one.
55:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, she was the, she was the one.
55:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And like she did all the men.
55:25
[SPEAKER_00]: She was the bachelor at, okay, she was the bachelor at.
55:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
55:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, anyway, that's all I've been doing, basically.
55:33
[SPEAKER_00]: But now I get a new puppy episode to watch.
55:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So that will be fun.
55:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
55:37
[SPEAKER_00]: An angel episode to watch, which might be fun.
55:40
[SPEAKER_00]: If Gwen comes back, Gwen, who knows?
55:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I bet no one gives a shit about Gwen except me.
55:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't do that's true.
55:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope not.
55:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I love her.
55:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, that's probably it.
55:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and I celebrate in my birthday recently.
55:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Happy birthday, 13, five.
55:58
[SPEAKER_01]: What did you do?
55:58
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, you should say, out me on the podcast.
56:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Just mean, all asked, aged me on the podcast.
56:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, no, we were up at my parents' camp for a long weekend.
56:07
[SPEAKER_00]: That was really great.
56:08
[SPEAKER_00]: We had decent weather.
56:10
[SPEAKER_00]: My husband bought me, I got me like, he's so good.
56:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess.
56:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I had asked him for, have you ever played the game aggravation?
56:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you ever play this game as a child?
56:20
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's very similar to like, sorry, or trouble kind of like that vibe, I growing up, we had the board game from the 70s and when I went to go look at like the modern version, it has marbles in it and they were plastic and I was like, this is fucking garbage.
56:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't want plastic marbles.
56:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I want the one, some of these.
56:42
[SPEAKER_00]: So my husband went on eBay and he found
56:45
[SPEAKER_00]: a really like pretty much brand new version of the 70s one that's um and I was so happy I was elated we played it at least three or four times while we were up at the camp it was so fun just like silly shit like that I feel like when you get to a certain age you're like I could just buy myself something if I need it but like something like that is just like
57:06
[SPEAKER_00]: chef's guess.
57:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a good gift.
57:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
57:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, no, that's pretty much it.
57:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Happy birthday.
57:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.
57:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess we'll leave it there and we'll come back next week with a more buffy probably no trials because we're not in England anymore, so we're not going to be seeing him riding horses, but just devastating, but I'll get over it.
57:25
[SPEAKER_00]: It is unfortunate.
57:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so until next time everyone
