- 0:00Whoa. What?
- 0:01What? Hello.
- 0:04That man. I'm staring at a man with a
- 0:08beard right now. I'm staring at another man.
- 0:12Oh, I'm practically in his shadow.
- 0:15I mean shadow. Of a man, shadow of a man.
- 0:18Who is this man? Who is this man?
- 0:21Dare say the shadow of a man. Do do do do.
- 0:25It doesn't do that anymore. It was only what it was in the
- 0:29Hey guys, hey, we're back. Oh no, What's going on Season 2?
- 0:38I know you guys have missed us. We've missed you a lot.
- 0:41I hope you loved all the silent episodes we've put out in the
- 0:44meantime. That writing, that writers room
- 0:46was tough. We had the most brilliant ideas
- 0:50though, after like super long hours.
- 0:53Yeah, something about 3:00 AM really makes our creativity come
- 0:55out. Yeah, at 3:00 AM, No sleep for
- 0:57the past like 48 hours. Yeah, but 3:00 AM specifically?
- 1:01It's like being in that box where like, hey, we're gonna
- 1:05release a couple episodes where it's just silence.
- 1:07Yeah, you really have to get creative.
- 1:09Yep, Yep. It's like we actually went into
- 1:12one of those isolation chambers like the.
- 1:16Oh my gosh, the sensory deprivation.
- 1:18Yes, that that chant. I forgot the name of it because
- 1:19I blocked it off my memory. Yeah, I didn't have a good time.
- 1:22No water, no food. We just raw dogged that chamber.
- 1:26I kept going in in my swim trunks and then I'd always come
- 1:28out naked. I said it's what, it's what
- 1:30happens in there, you know, like it's, it happens.
- 1:33That's legitimate. That's been happening to me in
- 1:35my sleep, by the way. I don't.
- 1:38I don't like that. That's become a habit.
- 1:40I'd understand if it was hot, like if your room was just like
- 1:43hot and then your body just forces you to take off your
- 1:45clothes without you realizing it.
- 1:46Yeah, all those muscles are just working while I'm unconscious,
- 1:49Yeah. Was that was that the case for
- 1:50you though? Like do you think it was just
- 1:52hot? You're sweating.
- 1:53I don't know, it was like it was last night and it wasn't any
- 1:56hotter than the other nights. I had my fan on and the AC and I
- 2:01don't know, I had AI, had weird dreams but none of them involved
- 2:04me undressing myself. It was a pinky Winkler.
- 2:08And he put his clothes, my clothes, in my hands, because I
- 2:12woke up holding them. Framed you welcome.
- 2:15Welcome back to the Daily BJ everyone.
- 2:18Welcome to season 2 episode number.
- 2:22I think we're going to keep the episode number, so this is
- 2:24episode 13. 13, we're going to keep it going.
- 2:26Yeah, like at 13, it's a good number.
- 2:29It's a good number. We're here unfortunately at the
- 2:32end of summer vacation. I hope you guys had a good one.
- 2:36If you for some reason do have summer vacation a few of your
- 2:39teachers. I hope you enjoyed every single
- 2:43day. Our #1 Fan Sefas 97.
- 2:46Sefas, 97, He's a. Teacher so he had summer break
- 2:49unless he was teaching summer school.
- 2:51I hope you weren't I. Hope you weren't.
- 2:52I hope you had a well deserved break.
- 2:55Enjoying whatever you enjoy, whatever it is you do during
- 2:59summer break, whatever it is Cephas, 97 does during his
- 3:03summer break, his summer sabbatical, a bunch of Cephas
- 3:07things. Ceph I.
- 3:11Don't know. Yeah, I don't know.
- 3:13That's funny. I have found my place, found
- 3:15myself in a place where I have a lot of friends who work in
- 3:17education. All crazy.
- 3:19A lot of them. That's crazy.
- 3:20Yeah, I think you should join it.
- 3:23I asked. I asked my friend Anthony.
- 3:24I was like, y'all hiring? Not that I'm trying to.
- 3:26I'm not trying to jump ship. Love my job, been having a great
- 3:29time at work. But you never know.
- 3:31You never know what's out there. You never know.
- 3:33You always have to be thinking what's next.
- 3:34It's hustle culture, dude. You got to hustle.
- 3:36Yep, time is money. What are you doing to hustle
- 3:38these days? Exactly.
- 3:40What's your side hustle? How much are you?
- 3:41How much is in your 4O1K? Right now, what's your sign?
- 3:44My sign is money. What's your rising?
- 3:47Nothing. My stocks, that's what's rising
- 3:51like, that's why I feel like that's the mentality.
- 3:53That's where I go when I go there, you know?
- 3:55But I'm not that person. That's not my rising.
- 3:58That's. Not my rising.
- 3:59That's my my negative, my money. So if you guys know anyone who
- 4:03wants to sponsor these episodes, please connect us please.
- 4:07We're we're recording in a room for God's sakes.
- 4:12I'm in a room where there are no others.
- 4:16It's hot in here. I'm sweating.
- 4:19He's waking up without any clothes on.
- 4:20I. Know I'm going to finish this
- 4:21podcast without any clothes on. I'm so sorry, Jerry.
- 4:24Oh no. What's happening?
- 4:25Oh no, Brian, stop throwing your shirts at me.
- 4:29Look, I'm already taking off my sock.
- 4:30He's already. He's already starting.
- 4:31Guys, oh I almost showed Jerry Toes for free and I was just
- 4:35saying I need cash. You know what, I did bring pan
- 4:38dulce, so that's kind of like payment.
- 4:41I got heal, guys. I got heal.
- 4:45My foot time, guys. No, I feel like I suppose it's
- 4:47coming back on. We're back.
- 4:50We wanted to tell you how our summer was because we've had a
- 4:53very eventful summer. This was the summer I turned
- 4:55pretty. Oh, Jerry, you've always been
- 4:57pretty. Maybe not like in high school,
- 5:01but now, yeah. But now, yeah, yeah, and and.
- 5:04You're going to get prettier once you bleach your hair and
- 5:07and go silver. Soon come, maybe.
- 5:12Maybe hoping to see it. How was your summer, Brian?
- 5:15It was great. I spent a lot of time in parks,
- 5:19part of nature. Cool.
- 5:22I would say maybe 40% of the time you were there.
- 5:25Maybe, maybe not. Do you like parks?
- 5:30When would I go to the park? Yes.
- 5:35Will you wear parks? Will you wear?
- 5:36There you go. I knew.
- 5:37I knew I was missing one. I was like, wait, you missed.
- 5:39Like, do you, do you like parks? Have you liked parks?
- 5:44When will you like parks? You like parks?
- 5:48That's so cool. So what about parks?
- 5:49Like what drove you to go to a park or just go into nature?
- 5:53Honestly, not to get super philosophical, but it was just a
- 5:57need to get out of the house and really ground myself.
- 6:02In season 1 we had Frenchy on our witchy friend who really
- 6:06said go out there, touch dirt because that you'll reflect.
- 6:09And that's honestly been the main reason.
- 6:12That's awesome. It kind of slows things down.
- 6:14If it feels you, you become detached from everything that's
- 6:19been going on and, like, you just take yourself away, go into
- 6:22this green space and hear the sounds, see things, feel, you
- 6:28know, whatever weather you're feeling.
- 6:29And it's nice to just do an activity at the park.
- 6:32Yeah. To sit at the park.
- 6:33You make you feel alive. The mosquitoes are biting.
- 6:35You feel itchy. Hate a mosquito?
- 6:38You're eating your ice cream and then two hours later your
- 6:41stomach hurts. Yeah, yeah, or you're reading a
- 6:43book. Oh true.
- 6:44Yeah, but as you're wearing your lactose tolerant shirt.
- 6:48This has been the summer of stomach issues too.
- 6:51I don't know what I've been doing.
- 6:52I went to the doctor and they said you're full of shit.
- 6:54Literally. Literally.
- 6:56So that's what I've been suffering with during the
- 6:58summer. But what do I find when I open
- 7:01that freezer? There was no a pine.
- 7:04Song Pine. Song Pine.
- 7:05Song Pine. Nope.
- 7:06There is milk, there's ice and chicken Nuggets.
- 7:09I think I say cheese. I'm like that's helping your
- 7:11case. I mean, there's cheese in the
- 7:14fridge, not in the freezer. That's true.
- 7:16I had a lot of cheese today. If you hear my stomach, Jerry,
- 7:18I'm so sorry. No, you had oat milk.
- 7:22True, but I had cubes of cheese earlier.
- 7:25Why? Because they offered, I'm not
- 7:27going to say no cheese. Can't refuse cheese blocks?
- 7:31No, they have pepper Jack and cheddar.
- 7:32Those are like my two favorite cheeses.
- 7:35You know what, which cheese I don't like and I fucked up not
- 7:39too long ago. Gouda.
- 7:40No, Gouda's good. I like Gouda.
- 7:42Melty Swiss. Swiss is really cheesy.
- 7:47In a bad way, In a way you don't like.
- 7:49In a way that I don't like when I put it on my eggs thinking
- 7:52like, oh, I'll like shred it on top of my eggs.
- 7:54I know you don't like eggs. You're weird.
- 7:55Jerry has an obsession with eggs.
- 7:58I have an obsession with breakfast.
- 8:00Breakfast. Eggs is breakfast.
- 8:02So you'll be eating eggs at night time.
- 8:05Because I'm an adult and I have free will, I can have breakfast
- 8:08for dinner. That's a really important stance
- 8:10you just made. I'm not going to invalidate.
- 8:12That for you I appreciate that I just.
- 8:14Don't think you should be using your free will to have eggs past
- 8:17like noon at the latest. Sorry, I don't mean to believe
- 8:22you. No.
- 8:23No, you're not. Trust me that I, I will ride and
- 8:25die for eggs any day. But I put Swiss on them and I
- 8:30like, you know, put it on top and I melted it.
- 8:33And then when I went in for that first bice, boom, overloaded
- 8:36with like cheese and I was like, Nope.
- 8:38So I took it off. It was the hardest thing ever,
- 8:40but I salvage what I could and I made more eggs.
- 8:43I was. About to say you didn't make.
- 8:45More eggs? No, I made more eggs after.
- 8:46I'm like, this is no, I threw most of it away.
- 8:48Was this during the egg crisis where each egg was like $4?
- 8:51No. OK, good.
- 8:52No, because we went to Costco and we got the big pack for.
- 8:55The you waited in line for your. Eggs.
- 8:56Oh, I was there at 7:00. AM Oh my God, if you're in line
- 8:58for eggs, stay in line. Stay in line, but not even the
- 9:01shortage shortage is no longer happening.
- 9:03Yeah, I can get my eggs for 399 at Trader Joe's down one day.
- 9:07It's time to be alive. Such an like, underrated egg
- 9:12place. Underrated protein.
- 9:13Underrated. No.
- 9:14Like a place where you can go buy eggs cheap.
- 9:16All, all day, every day. Trader Joe's.
- 9:19Yeah, those prices never go up. The most expensive I saw them
- 9:22was like for for something. Yeah.
- 9:24And even then like. Cheaper than a $7.00 carton.
- 9:28Yeah, Ralph's or something. Yeah.
- 9:30So super low radar. I'm, I'm pretty sure it's well
- 9:32known, but you never think of like, oh, I'm going to Trader
- 9:34Joe's for eggs. Next time you guys see Jerry,
- 9:37just point at him and be like, you don't like eggs, you don't
- 9:39like eggs. Like, yeah, I do.
- 9:43Egg Boy. Egg Boy's a great name.
- 9:45Egg man, call me. Oh my God, no, that's already
- 9:47taken. That egg man is taken.
- 9:49He's from Sonic. It is Mr. Egg, Man Egg.
- 9:53Egg. Egg.
- 9:55Bert Egg. Alberto Egg.
- 9:58Lydia Butthole Collins Great her egg.
- 10:01Her egg dad, Humpty Dumpty Dumpty Fish.
- 10:04A lot has happened since we last spoke to you.
- 10:07As I said, we were doing our summer, our summer activities.
- 10:10What's something that you did this summer?
- 10:12I went to the park, specifically a park that had a zoo in it.
- 10:18Yes, we did. You were there.
- 10:20You were there. I was there.
- 10:22Yeah. Oh, that's right.
- 10:23I was a bear. There was a bear.
- 10:24That was me. There was a Mountain Lion.
- 10:26There was 2 mountain lions. There was, there's. 3.
- 10:29Mountain lions, each one bigger than the last Jaguar.
- 10:33We're going to plug in UC Irvine Regional Park because if we can.
- 10:40Yeah, they're not paying us, but yes, we can.
- 10:41Plug because great park to go during the week.
- 10:45During the weekend doesn't matter.
- 10:47During the weekend it's not that expensive.
- 10:48Was it like 5-5? OK, but I was having this
- 10:51conversation with, I think Joe of like, oh, I don't want to go
- 10:55to a park where you have to pay. Why not?
- 10:57You're supporting public parks. Support your regional parks, $5.
- 11:01Fill your car with people. Take one car.
- 11:04We paid $5 to get in. How much did we pay for our
- 11:07tickets? $2.00. $2.00 each. 2 bucks for
- 11:11an adult, and I think it's like free for kids under a certain
- 11:15age. I won't say that number because
- 11:16I'm going to lie to you, but 2 bucks for an adult.
- 11:19Yeah. And then once you're in there,
- 11:21it is a it's it's a smaller zoo, obviously.
- 11:23But where are you going to see a Jaguar?
- 11:26Where are you going to see mountain lions?
- 11:27A bear. A bear which you can go out in
- 11:29the wild and search for them, but I don't recommend it
- 11:33multiple birds, multiple animals, coyotes, everything.
- 11:37And we happen to go on World Zookeeper Day or National
- 11:41Zookeeper Day. So there was Zookeepers and
- 11:45they're. Doing presentations.
- 11:46Yeah, doing presentations, holding animals out like out of
- 11:49their exhibits for you to for. You to well, not all of.
- 11:52Them. Some of them, yeah, there was
- 11:53like 1. There were birds of prey.
- 11:54Yeah, Raptors that you can just go and they talk to you about
- 11:58them and you learn about them. And that is so cool because
- 12:00there's so many families and everything cheap activity that
- 12:04you can do with your family that gets you out of the house, that
- 12:07it's interactive and you you get to see animals.
- 12:10That's beautiful. Do what we did.
- 12:11Bring sandwiches. Have a picnic.
- 12:12We brought a napkin, we brought some chips, some water.
- 12:18Sandwiches. Yeah, picnic.
- 12:21It was fun. It I had more fun than $2.00 the
- 12:25worth of $2.00. That was at least like $30.00
- 12:28worth of fun. Yeah, for sure.
- 12:30We got our money's worth. Minimum.
- 12:32Minimum. Like when the 2 mountain lions
- 12:34jumped off the freaking Cliff playing with each other.
- 12:37Yeah, it's beautiful. When have you been that close to
- 12:39a Mountain Lion? Yeah, to me it was a Jaguar for
- 12:41sure, because I've never seen a Jaguar.
- 12:43And then it was like the. The paw that was.
- 12:46Huge. They have like these little
- 12:49walkways that they're able to like kind of walk over you.
- 12:52And the Jaguar was just chilling up there with a from.
- 12:54One enclosure to the other. And yeah, he was chilling in
- 12:57that on that bridge overpass, super close.
- 13:00Like you can see him right there and his huge head, huge paw.
- 13:03We're just dangling right there. Well, those pictures, we took a
- 13:05lot of pictures, yeah. We had a lot of fun.
- 13:06I saw a lot of birds. I saw an American kestrel, which
- 13:10is like the smallest bird of prey that we have.
- 13:12It was. Cute.
- 13:13It was really cute Falcon family, super tiny, but it was
- 13:16an adult adorable. I took a picture with it, we saw
- 13:19a screech owl, also super tiny. Looked fake.
- 13:22Looked like a Furby animatronic Furby.
- 13:25What I twitching at the time? A call back to the Ren Fair.
- 13:28There was these little dragon things that were I guess unique.
- 13:32They were like one of one if you bought it, but they were
- 13:35controlled by this like. This long wire, yeah, that you
- 13:38kind of twist. You can twist, you can pull, and
- 13:40every like action makes the head or the wings or whatever move.
- 13:45The owl looked exactly like that.
- 13:46The holder or the the handler had a glove with a string
- 13:50attached to what with a rope string attached to the to the to
- 13:54the talons. And yeah, it looked like it was
- 13:57just controlling the head. Yeah, it was.
- 13:58So funny. It was so prompt.
- 14:00Yeah, we fed goats. Oh my God, we we fed little
- 14:04goats. The feeling of their little lips
- 14:07on your hands is so strange. It is very strange.
- 14:09Because they're aggressive with. It they're like, give me the,
- 14:11give me them chips, give me the chips, give me that.
- 14:13Crack. Give me that $0.25 of handful of
- 14:17Well, it's. We got from a really nice lady.
- 14:19She did give us a dollar. She said here's a couple
- 14:21corridors because it's $0.25 for a handful of Yeah, she's don't
- 14:25feed he. Said here kids, go have fun.
- 14:27Hear me once here. We did try to offer like, Oh no,
- 14:31here's like here's a bill. And she's like, no, it's just
- 14:33quarters. Like awesome.
- 14:35It was a bunch. We paid it forward.
- 14:36Yeah, we did. Yeah, we did.
- 14:37Because after we had extra ones, we gave them to some kids.
- 14:41We were nice. Yeah.
- 14:43I had a lot of fun that day. That was honestly, yeah, a
- 14:46really great day. What else did we do?
- 14:53Something again later that same day.
- 14:58Oh no, we we got ice. Cream.
- 14:59We got ice cream and here we are again.
- 15:01This. Summer of tummy issues.
- 15:03I've had so much ice cream. We had an ice cream party for
- 15:07arts and crafts night with with our friends Matt and Frenchy and
- 15:11and Dave, like most of the D&D crew.
- 15:13Yeah, everyone brought ice cream.
- 15:16Everyone. Brought ice cream, ice cream
- 15:18pops, ice cream tubs. We had the cookie sandwiches, we
- 15:22had the regular, the chocolate chocolate sandwiches, the
- 15:26strawberry like. The strawberry cheese cheesecake
- 15:29Strawberry. Yeah.
- 15:30It's going with crumbly bits. I love that I'm so good.
- 15:33And then a tub, which we didn't even get to.
- 15:35At this point, just put me under the utter.
- 15:38You might as well just have a bag.
- 15:40I'm so for the same. I should just start drinking
- 15:43whole milk. Can't go wrong with whole milk.
- 15:45Maybe that's what's wrong with me.
- 15:46I need more. I need it straight for the
- 15:47source. I think if you like any of those
- 15:49bacteria. Yeah, you need that, that good
- 15:52bacteria in your in your gut. But I think if you just start
- 15:54like over consuming dairy, it'll cancel.
- 15:59Out your lactose intolerant. I have to beat myself into
- 16:02submission. You will tolerate the lactose.
- 16:04Have you thought, have you thought about that doing that?
- 16:08Not necessarily. I mean I heard like 3 ice cream
- 16:12sandwiches that day. It's not like I'm not.
- 16:14Having dairy true, true. It's hard not to.
- 16:17I I can't imagine. I can't.
- 16:18I need my chocolate milk chockey.
- 16:21But. That's what oat milk is for.
- 16:22I'm perfectly fine having chocolate milk with oat milk and
- 16:25my coffee with oat milk. Some substitutes for whole milk
- 16:28is OK, but chocolate milk is chocolate milk.
- 16:30I need. I need 2% whole milk, whatever.
- 16:34Some people are going to hate that, but some people hate eggs
- 16:38too, Yeah, for no reason. It's not that I hate them,
- 16:42they're just never my first choice.
- 16:43They're always like I have nothing else for breakfast.
- 16:46OK, I guess I have these eggs. What if in the future if we ever
- 16:50go out to eat or or we make breakfast, you give me your eggs
- 16:53and I give you my protein or something like my 2 slices of
- 16:56bacon? Is this a euphemism?
- 16:59For breakfast, yes. A trade?
- 17:03No, that because I'm just not going to order eggs.
- 17:08It's that simple. Comes with eggs.
- 17:10I'll ask for something else like, hey, can I substitute this
- 17:12out for like, some French fries? They're like, no.
- 17:14You can give it to your friend though.
- 17:16Is this your restaurant? Am I at your house?
- 17:19Let me talk to your manager. They're like, OK, wait one
- 17:22second. They do a spin.
- 17:23Flip that around the manager. What's up?
- 17:25Yeah. Why do you hate your friend?
- 17:28Just give them your eggs. Give your friends your eggs.
- 17:33Give your friend your eggs, guys.
- 17:35Stop being. Mean me when I freeze dry my
- 17:38eggs. You freeze dried your eggs.
- 17:40Yeah, I'm really fertile. My jaw is on the ground, guys.
- 17:46It's like, wait, why would you freeze dry freeze?
- 17:48Them freeze them. You never know, dude.
- 17:50Look like the the the freeze dried Skittles.
- 17:52I wonder if you can like if you hard boiled an egg and then you
- 17:55freeze dry it. I've had freeze dried candy.
- 17:58That makes sense. That makes sense.
- 18:01I think. I think you could.
- 18:02Did you just correct how you spoke?
- 18:05No, I just caught myself doing that like sound with my mouth
- 18:08and I'm like, God, I'm doing that again.
- 18:09OK, what you guys don't know is once you start listening to
- 18:13yourself talk for like hours on end, you kind of pick up on
- 18:15stuff you don't like doing. Season 1 apparently I did a lot
- 18:21of smacking before I spoke, I would add.
- 18:24Some of it out, but it would be so close to him speaking that I
- 18:27just had to leave them. Yeah, so.
- 18:29Now that you know you're going to be conscious about it and
- 18:32then you can hear the take a shot every time you hear me do
- 18:35that so. Take a shot anytime I'm
- 18:39breathing into the mic and I don't know, OK?
- 18:41There you go. There you go.
- 18:43Let's do it. I need to start holding the mic
- 18:44really far away talk. And then move the mic and I'm
- 18:47just going to, before I talk, swallow or do whatever I need to
- 18:51do to not like smack my lips and then continue talking.
- 18:55This season, we're going to do so much better.
- 18:57Yeah, we had a meeting. We sat down with the executives
- 19:00at BJ Studios. Yeah.
- 19:02And we told them we want to make history.
- 19:04HQBJHQ. BJHQ and they said, you know
- 19:08what, you can do whatever you want as long as it's self
- 19:11funded. Yeah, yeah.
- 19:13That's our limitation. Yep, and they're also kicking us
- 19:16out of Brian's room. We can no longer record in here.
- 19:18So this is our last episode in here.
- 19:21Once again guys, funding. Yeah, please donate money to me
- 19:26directly if you know me personally.
- 19:29You do have my phone number. Yeah, it's myself.
- 19:33That is my Venmo. Please.
- 19:36Please. Yeah.
- 19:38This summer, we're begging for money.
- 19:39Yeah, and then the summer's not over, which I.
- 19:43Know we could still go. We could.
- 19:45We could still make money. We could still go to more parks.
- 19:48We went to, oh, when I say we did parks, we went to a lot of
- 19:52parks. We might have scratched off all
- 19:54the parks around us. Not yet, there's still one that
- 19:57I looked into but it's more of like a fishing area.
- 20:01OK, I have fishing rods. Let's go.
- 20:03I don't know how to fish dude. You don't need to know, you just
- 20:05got to go and act like you know what you're doing.
- 20:07Just throw the whole rod in there if you need to.
- 20:11Like that one kid, the one who broke it.
- 20:12Oh, yeah. Oh, so we were at, we were at
- 20:15Irvine Park. We're at one of the, yeah,
- 20:16Irvine Park. And this kid was like screaming
- 20:19and then he just like snapped his rod in half and then threw
- 20:21it to the grass. And I was like, oh, that kid
- 20:23better go pick that up. Like it's if you're going to
- 20:26break your rod and then go throw it away, don't.
- 20:28Throw it into the freaking pond. But he was like.
- 20:30Screaming. He was like, ah, like
- 20:32frustrated. He was also like 12, maybe 13.
- 20:36Yeah, then he picked it up and he left with it.
- 20:37So I was like, OK, cool. But yeah, that's what we'll just
- 20:39do that. No, I would.
- 20:41I'd prefer to regulate my emotions.
- 20:44As yes I. Don't often get frustrated like
- 20:46that and. Then break your rod I'll.
- 20:48Break your rod. It's not my rod.
- 20:51You, you. You'd have to buy me a new one.
- 20:53I. Don't think about it.
- 20:56I don't go shopping for rods. My rods are given to me rod.
- 21:01I see what you did there. I see what you did there.
- 21:03I see what you did. You hook them and.
- 21:06Hook them. And cook them catch and.
- 21:09I hook up and glick them. Bryan, this is a family friendly
- 21:16show. No, it's not.
- 21:17This is a family friendly show. You know the name of this
- 21:19podcast? Wait, we're doing a podcast?
- 21:25Oh, I mean, Nope. Oh well.
- 21:29Park was your favorite. Irvine Irvine Regional is it has
- 21:35everything we need to. Explore it more because we only
- 21:37did a little section. Yeah, we did like loop around it
- 21:40leaving the park, but it's, you know, it's there's some nice
- 21:43areas and then there's hiking trails that we can go to.
- 21:46Yeah. I would like to because we've
- 21:49been doing a bunch of regional parks in and around like the
- 21:53Fullerton, Brea, Irvine area. There is one called Craiga Park
- 21:59and Brea. We, we were out for a little
- 22:01bit. There's a bunch of ducks there,
- 22:02dude, a lot. There's like 100 ducks.
- 22:04Jerry summoned them. Now I have a duck whistle.
- 22:07You're a duck whistle. Yeah, I was gifted a duck
- 22:09whistle. Who gave you a duck whistle?
- 22:11Dave of course, yeah. So I've been using, I've been
- 22:13using that at school as an attention grabber who works, but
- 22:17now I'm going to use it when I go to the park just.
- 22:21OK, well, you better come fully loaded with snacks that they can
- 22:24digest. I'll bring peas.
- 22:25Hey, hey. You know, you know about ducks.
- 22:28What should we bring them? What can we feed them?
- 22:30I know they do like the farmers that I have on TikTok that have
- 22:34like they post their animals, they do the like a bowl of like
- 22:37water or ice water and they do. Peas.
- 22:40Oh, just peas. So we're going to come with ice,
- 22:42water and peas. Maybe just the peas if they're
- 22:44unfrozen. Frozen.
- 22:45Oh, unfrozen. Unfrozen.
- 22:47But not bread. Never bread.
- 22:48Yeah, carbs, all that. So it has extra bread sauce.
- 22:50Just peas. You know, I can't go wrong with
- 22:52some vegetables. And if they don't eat them, then
- 22:55they're just gonna. Grow.
- 22:59Maybe. I was gonna say that I don't
- 23:01know this way. I was gonna say they're just
- 23:02gonna become compost or something, but sure.
- 23:05True. But yeah, bread.
- 23:06And who knows who knows what, unless I give him artisan bread,
- 23:10the best bread I can. Bread.
- 23:12You've seen that bread. The artisan bread.
- 23:15Bread. Yeah, the one that's like kind
- 23:17of powdery. It's so good with like peanut
- 23:20butter and Jelly. They're the best.
- 23:22I have some frozen that type of bread in my freezer right now.
- 23:26Next to the pint of ice cream. Allegedly, there's a pint of
- 23:30ice. Cream in there.
- 23:32You can't confirm nor deny. Might be there, I might have ate
- 23:36it already, but that was my favorite part.
- 23:39Yeah, yeah, I agree. I I don't agree.
- 23:42I have one part that I truly love, and I've loved it ever
- 23:45since I went to to school out in Fullerton is Carbon Canyon.
- 23:50I love Carbon Canyon. Is there anything specific about
- 23:53Carbon Canyon? I love the pond.
- 23:58I've been going to the park for a while, but just recently we
- 24:02went to the Redwood. There is a whole Redwood Grove
- 24:05hidden in one of the hikes. Redwoods in Orange County.
- 24:09Tall mess woods. That's your mind blowing.
- 24:13You can go see redwoods. In Orange County and you don't
- 24:16have to drive hours away. Nope, they're right there and
- 24:19it's a whole lot of them. If it's a weekday, you pay $3.
- 24:22If it's a weekend, it's 5. Once again, support local parks.
- 24:26These redwoods are obviously not as big as the redwoods up in
- 24:30north like California Northern. Not native.
- 24:32They're they're not native. Yeah.
- 24:34I don't remember the story. I do.
- 24:35OK. Please enlighten.
- 24:37Us for some reason, some local bank 100, I don't know if it was
- 24:42100 years ago, many years ago had a whole promotion where if
- 24:45you like open up an account with this many dollars, you would get
- 24:49a Redwood tree planted in your in your honour because some guy
- 24:52owned that little area. But there's like I would say
- 24:55maybe like 100 trees and they're.
- 24:59They're tall. I don't remember what the number
- 25:00was. Yeah, but.
- 25:01They're not super, they're not super white, they're pretty
- 25:03skinny, 'cause they're kind of surprised that they've watered
- 25:07that, they've acclimated to that, the temperate, temperate
- 25:11that. I think the word you're looking
- 25:15for is. Environment.
- 25:17Tempura. Tempura.
- 25:20Yeah, yeah, it's the weather. Southern California weather made
- 25:23it. Skinny and long, not with thick
- 25:29bases. And then beautiful, beautiful
- 25:33red colour. A lot of birds around.
- 25:35Yeah. We saw I'm forgetting the name
- 25:39of the bird. They were American Robins.
- 25:44Yeah, and we got real close to them, I.
- 25:45Think they were an American, Robin, I think sure, locking in
- 25:47that answer. And yeah, you could tell if
- 25:50they're used to people because they would just plop right in
- 25:52front of you and then jump around and stuff.
- 25:53They would like squat. Real funny.
- 25:54Yeah, and they were fast, like walking on the ground.
- 25:57Some of them were chunkier and stuff, but.
- 25:59A couple of woodpeckers too. A.
- 26:01Couple a lot of acorn woodpeckers.
- 26:03Super cool. They got like a little red band
- 26:06on top of their head. And then that one big hawk.
- 26:08And then a red tailed hawk. It was a great day for birds.
- 26:12Weeks later, remember we went back to Carbon Canyon Park and a
- 26:15Miss home girl. I'm assuming it's a girl.
- 26:17I don't know if it's a boy or girl Hawk.
- 26:18Remember we were standing and it flew into the tree right by.
- 26:20Us Yeah, yeah, that was yeah, that was like a Cooper's hawk.
- 26:23It was a smaller 10. So yeah, it was a smaller bird.
- 26:25But yeah, it just, it flew across the pond super low
- 26:29towards the area where we were at and then into the tree right
- 26:31next to us. And then I was trying to track
- 26:32it down, but I couldn't find it. There's only expected away too
- 26:35many branches. And I'd maybe I did, but I I
- 26:37couldn't see it. So I don't know if I was close
- 26:39or far, but yeah, so much nature, guys.
- 26:41Nature heals, nature is healing. Yeah, and when you pay 5 bucks.
- 26:47Nature is healing when you pay 5.
- 26:48Bucks even more to. Support it so they can clean all
- 26:51the the goose poop. Off the sidewalk and keep
- 26:55watering those long skinny trees.
- 26:57I was going to say something else about Carbon Canyon.
- 27:04There's still a couple of trails we need to go and and finish
- 27:06because it's. Hot right now, guys, we're in
- 27:09the middle of the heat wave. Yeah, it was like.
- 27:12It was ugly, it was terrible. It was 90. 7 Today I went to we
- 27:16had a work event and it was like 97° it was.
- 27:18Hot. OK, maybe, maybe.
- 27:19Yeah, in that area. What I checked today was like 80
- 27:23in the 80s. So I was like, cool.
- 27:24Oh, down here. That's why I love living in
- 27:26Orange County. I.
- 27:27Was like I can play outside today.
- 27:28Not because of the Republicans, but because the weather's nice
- 27:30are over. Here, the weather, yeah.
- 27:33California, yeah. We also had like some fun
- 27:36adventures this summer. A lot of friend Hangouts.
- 27:40Our friend was that hosted our yearly BBQ so we had our our
- 27:43infamous water balloon fights. I might have or might have not
- 27:48been throwing 98 mile per hour heaters down to the other team.
- 27:52Bruised he made. Square in the back.
- 27:54He didn't move and I threw a water bottle, a water bottle,
- 27:58water balloon at him. He threw a water bottle at me,
- 28:01guys. It was the boss one, the glass.
- 28:06I just love stitches. There's like.
- 28:08But I I did not. I don't.
- 28:11I don't remember hitting anyone directly in the face or.
- 28:14Anything. No, no, and never in the face.
- 28:15No, I think I would have felt super bad, so I apologize, yeah.
- 28:19Body. Shine body never done that,
- 28:22neither have I I. Don't see myself doing it
- 28:25anytime soon. I'll be back because he has her
- 28:28permission. Yeah, that.
- 28:32I mean, I can't imagine trying to do one at like a bar like.
- 28:35No, I don't know where your belly buttons Bing grow
- 28:37sometimes mine has lint in it. You don't be scrubbing in there.
- 28:41Are you checking right now? There's lint in it.
- 28:44You can make a blanket. No, I don't know what.
- 28:48You can make some mittens. No, I'm just saying you can.
- 28:53You can reuse, recycle. I'm self-conscious.
- 28:59Click, click, distract them. What else did we do?
- 29:04We I did it again, Guys. Take a shot, body.
- 29:08Take a body shot. It'll find the nearest belly
- 29:10button, pour some liquor in there, no see what happens.
- 29:15We've been playing a lot of DND and it's been really fun.
- 29:19Yeah, we found a dragon. We fought a dragon.
- 29:22Some dragon asses. Some dragon.
- 29:24I think we said a year and a half after, after starting in
- 29:28the indie, we finally had a genuine dragon, genuine dragon
- 29:33encounter and dragon fight, 'cause we have encountered a
- 29:35dragon in the past, but we didn't really do what, you know,
- 29:38I think we ran away from. It we kind of just jumped over
- 29:41it. We jumped over it in a really
- 29:42cinematic, dramatic way, like Shamu style.
- 29:45Yeah, yeah. Rolling that 20s is beautiful
- 29:48and the only way you can jump over a broken bridge under on
- 29:55top of a Dragon's mouth. But anyways, we killed the
- 29:57dragon guys. Amazing.
- 29:58Yeah, I'm really pumped. I love Dungeons and Dragons.
- 30:01Trying to get the gaze to play. I love Dragons.
- 30:04I want. A Dungeons into Dragons.
- 30:06I want a Dragon Tattoo. Really I do.
- 30:09I really put it. Animal Arm.
- 30:11Animal Arm. Oh, it'll be on this side
- 30:13somewhere. OK, OK, OK, idea.
- 30:15What's up? You have your animal arm.
- 30:17What if you have a Cryptid leg? I love that.
- 30:21You get a dragon, you can get Sasquatch.
- 30:25I would have to get that like. The tattooed up in like.
- 30:27The. PNW, Pacific Northwest.
- 30:30Yeah, because they know all about the cryptids or what?
- 30:32Yep. That's where the organ and
- 30:33that's where they're. You have the bat boy.
- 30:36The bat boy. Yeah, the.
- 30:38Bat Boy. The Oxford.
- 30:39Oxford. Oxford.
- 30:40Bat Boy. Harvard, Oxford.
- 30:42Sorry. Those are two different breeds.
- 30:43Two different yeah, I I don't need to don't know much about
- 30:45the Harvard. One.
- 30:46No one does. They don't run in the same
- 30:47circles. OK, we'll, we'll, we'll find
- 30:51someone. That'll be.
- 30:53That'll be such a cool. That's a cool idea.
- 30:56If you don't do that, you all have permission to do that.
- 30:58I give you permission. Just you have to pay me and me.
- 31:01Yeah. If you have more than two
- 31:04cryptids on your body, you owe us.
- 31:08Yeah, $1.00 me, $1.00 Cherry. How, how about this?
- 31:12We'll meet in, we'll meet them in the middle, because that
- 31:14might be a little bit too direct.
- 31:15If you have a tattoo, you owe us a dog.
- 31:18Yeah, we can't discriminate. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:20Everyone with tattoos, you owe us $2.00.
- 31:23And that's $2.00 per tattoo per person.
- 31:26Damn, what if like your whole body's one continuous tattoo?
- 31:29That would be crazy. I've seen it if you create or
- 31:34like somehow mess your tattoos to where they're like connected
- 31:37but makes sense not just like there's a a line or something.
- 31:40That would be gnarly. Yeah, I've seen not stuff like
- 31:43that. I've seen like people full out
- 31:45block out parts of their bodies with just like.
- 31:47Like, yeah, yeah. Honestly, I find it pretty cool.
- 31:51Like I like certain sections, like just blacked out.
- 31:56I don't think I would do it, but because I already have art and I
- 31:59don't want to cover it. But if I had like an empty like
- 32:02my whole leg, that'd be cool. No, maybe.
- 32:05Maybe. I think I'd do my arms instead
- 32:06of my legs. Like you don't hit leg Dick?
- 32:11I I hit I hit my legs on stuff and get bruises.
- 32:16To get anxiety and you just. Tap, tap, tap, tap.
- 32:19Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. Yeah.
- 32:21So yeah, I'll get a dragon eventually.
- 32:23OK, I need to know what dragon. I've always been obsessed with
- 32:26green Dragons. But would you get a color
- 32:29tattoo? No, no, no.
- 32:30Like the type of dragon. I, yeah, I didn't specify.
- 32:33Yeah, the different types of Dragons with different like
- 32:36abilities, like a green dragon normally associated with poison.
- 32:40I don't. Is that like a thing?
- 32:41Yeah, yeah, just across like. In media and in general, yeah.
- 32:46So there's like white Dragons, there's black Dragons and green
- 32:49Dragons, red Dragons, bronze Dragons, which I'm pretty sure
- 32:53are. In the book I read the weird
- 32:56one, I I think I talked about it briefly like in one of the early
- 32:59episodes for book club I was reading a a dragon book and
- 33:02those they had red blue and they have bronze.
- 33:06OK. Do you know if they had like
- 33:07different a bit? Like the bronze or breast
- 33:09attacks? The I think I don't remember
- 33:12about the redder blue, but the bronze ones were known to be
- 33:15more like magic and knowledgeable.
- 33:18Something like that. OK, OK.
- 33:20So it was more like not, it was like temperament.
- 33:23Yeah, There you go. There you go.
- 33:24Well, yeah. And, and that's like a thing in
- 33:26I think dragon lore where certain Dragons are more
- 33:29aggressive than the other ones. Like are red Dragons aggressive?
- 33:34Yeah, I want to say like red Dragons are like more aggressive
- 33:37ones. There's some books I I want to
- 33:39say like 4th Wing where certain Dragons are like you're supposed
- 33:43to approach them a certain way compared to other ones.
- 33:46And yeah, I I forget different abilities, just dragon lore in
- 33:49general. Amazing.
- 33:50Fantasy girlies. I know you read those books.
- 33:52Let us know. Yeah, I forget what.
- 33:58Jerry read these books through osmosis.
- 34:00Yeah, his wife read them to him as bedtime stories.
- 34:04I've been sleeping so good, guys.
- 34:05I've been sleeping so good. I was just playing Brian how
- 34:08I've been sleeping great. And it's because story time,
- 34:12right? Before bed.
- 34:13No shame, that puts me to it, knocks me out.
- 34:16And no disrespect, she knows. Like I was like, hey, if you
- 34:18read to me, I'm gonna sleep. I'm gonna knock out, but I think
- 34:21I think she enjoys reading is. She reading to you and she's
- 34:23like running your hand through your scalp.
- 34:25I feel like that would fix me. I I think that would fix me.
- 34:30No, no, She she has in the past, but not to go to bed, like to go
- 34:33to bed like she's fully reading and stuff and multitasking is
- 34:38hard. Yeah, for me it's it's hard.
- 34:40So no. Yeah, Anyways, Dragons anyways.
- 34:46This has also been the summer of.
- 34:49Video games, video games, but that's.
- 34:51Going to be a separate episode. We're going to go deep into our
- 34:54video game lore and what we've been up to these days.
- 34:57You might have to wait 7 episodes for that or one.
- 35:03Yeah or yeah or one. We'll see.
- 35:05Or two for the drama. For the drama we have been
- 35:10playing, we've been gamer boys, we've been nature boys, we've
- 35:12been gamer boys. We've been keeping it balanced.
- 35:15We have been keeping it balance. We do a little outside, we do a
- 35:17little inside. We do.
- 35:19We do physical activity and we do slouching activities.
- 35:23Define physical activities, because yeah, we're outside, but
- 35:25I'm not doing physical activities.
- 35:27A A a nature walk is a walk. Wow, there's like some.
- 35:33There's ghosts. Was that like a roar or was that
- 35:35like a? Engine.
- 35:36It was a dragon. If that was dragon, I'm going to
- 35:39go befriended right now. OK, I speak draconic.
- 35:42OK, roll a dice. Roll a dice.
- 35:45We're in our nerd. We're in our nerd eras.
- 35:46Yeah. That's so funny you need dice.
- 35:48I have some right here. Cool, I'm going to roll.
- 35:51This is going to be a live roll, guys.
- 35:52Oh my God. Oh, those are my Azure dice.
- 35:56Me and Azure have beef. Hey, don't you died.
- 36:00Look at this. Look at this ASMR dice ASMR.
- 36:07What did you roll? Oh, he rolled A1.
- 36:12He's going to go out there to die.
- 36:15Well guys, I will be hosting or posting the job opening for a
- 36:22ghost. I rolled a Nat one everyone
- 36:25that's. What you get for rolling my
- 36:26dice? I'm not supposed you're not
- 36:27supposed to roll another grown person's dice.
- 36:30Twitch their dice don't touch people's dice because you will
- 36:33roll ones and bad things will happen.
- 36:38I love D&D. It's kind of overtaking my life.
- 36:41I'm looking at my desk right now.
- 36:42I have 123 die sets. I have two miniatures.
- 36:48I knew I'd be into it. I did not know I was going to
- 36:50invest or take over so much of my life.
- 36:54And have we finished Balder's Gate?
- 36:55No, no. Have we?
- 36:57I, I made it to the second part. Have I ever, have I ever even
- 37:02stepped foot in the Balder's Gate?
- 37:03No. It gets so freaking hard but
- 37:06it's OK. We need more dice.
- 37:08That's all I'm hearing. Yeah, I don't mind dropping my
- 37:10$12.00 on a set of dice. Nope that at this point.
- 37:13Some of them I've used once. But you have them.
- 37:15But I have them. I have them ready for when I
- 37:17start playing with my friends and.
- 37:19Then someone's like I need 4D6 and then it we all.
- 37:23Here you go. Yep, Yep.
- 37:25We all get so excited. I feel like that should be like,
- 37:31if it's not already, that should be like a topic of like tape
- 37:34part tables fighting to give their dice to the person who
- 37:38needs them. You know, if that's like a
- 37:39competition, because I'm not. Gonna lie.
- 37:41I'm gonna I if you don't take mine, I'm gonna feel a little
- 37:44sad. It's like.
- 37:47'Cause then if you get, if they get a good role, you're like,
- 37:49wow, those were my dice. Yes, I hope I took part.
- 37:52Wow. I know we just said we sorry
- 37:55this is gonna get nerdy. I know we just talked about how
- 37:57we finally had a dragon fight. I wanted to be known that I did
- 38:01nothing. I did the least amount.
- 38:03I took damage and then I healed myself and everyone else did the
- 38:07heavy lifting. That's the kind of player I am.
- 38:10The. No, but hear me out guys.
- 38:11His character is also the most logical, which makes him a great
- 38:16team leader. Don't claim that, but he he also
- 38:21is the healer. So you did your job and.
- 38:23I healed myself. Did you die?
- 38:25The most important person to keep alive was myself.
- 38:28And did you die? No success.
- 38:31You're right, you succeeded. No one died.
- 38:34No one. Luckily, no one died.
- 38:35Someone almost died. Yeah, they were real.
- 38:37Close, but the roles were on our side and that is DNT we should.
- 38:47This would be fun to talk. About it will be it's we have
- 38:50plans for you guys, why we have plans.
- 38:52What do you? What does that mean?
- 38:53It will be what? It will be.
- 38:55We have. We have.
- 38:57We sat down with the executives. The executives green lighted a
- 39:01lot of things, guys. Yeah, we put pen to paper.
- 39:05We sat out there. We put paper to pen.
- 39:07We literally jotted stuff down. There's ideas.
- 39:10We're gonna take you places, we're gonna go places.
- 39:12We're gonna talk about things. All kinds of things and things
- 39:16that we brainstormed, we used Venn diagrams.
- 39:19We did, Cornell notes. We did the the hats that you
- 39:24draw names out of. We did this.
- 39:28No, I don't wanna. I don't wanna support that Lady.
- 39:29OK, not yeah, yeah, we, we really did that.
- 39:34We really did the thing. We put our brains together.
- 39:36We literally like put forehead to forehead and we said think.
- 39:39Think. And then we were in the in the
- 39:41chamber. Yeah, and miraculously, like
- 39:43when we had an idea, we said it at the same time.
- 39:45Yep, at the same time, like right now, we're gonna say 321.
- 39:51X. I said it.
- 39:53I just said eggs. I said it in the.
- 39:55Hiccup Tea pickup. Yeah.
- 39:56Sorry, it was the eggs from earlier.
- 39:58We both said eggs right now. That's wild.
- 40:01Have you seen the video of those Australian twins that air quote
- 40:05finish each other's sentences? No, they'll talk really slow.
- 40:10Oh OK. Until they say the same thing.
- 40:17OK, wow, we probably did way better than.
- 40:20Them honestly, we or them? This reminds me of the the it's.
- 40:23I don't know if it's like a parody video, but it's Ben
- 40:26Stiller as Tom Cruise's double or like stunt double.
- 40:33I'll show you later if you haven't seen it.
- 40:35I mean it's not worth your time. What movie is this?
- 40:38I don't know if it's like a movie or that it's just like
- 40:39extra, like some parody thing where they're just doing it.
- 40:42But yeah, Ben Stiller is Tom Cruise as a stunt double.
- 40:46So there's like interviews with both of them wearing the same
- 40:49clothes and they laugh like very similar.
- 40:52But Ben Stiller does a really good job at like, imitating Tom
- 40:54Cruise. But anyways.
- 40:56But had me start thinking of night at the museum.
- 40:58At the museum. When was the last time you
- 41:00watched watched that movie? We we got to.
- 41:03Practice get better. If only we like wrote a script,
- 41:08memorized it. Do you mean this script?
- 41:12He hit me. Did you hear?
- 41:15It was contentual. He smacked me.
- 41:17No. Christy threw a water bottle at
- 41:19me, which missed. He slapped me in the.
- 41:21Nipple with Why is your nipple all the way over here I.
- 41:25Lost the nipple. His nipple's like 2 feet long.
- 41:30Hey, body positivity. It's everywhere.
- 41:32Dude, body positivity. It's in the soup when you cook.
- 41:37There's this little nipple I don't like to I I'm sorry.
- 41:42I'm proud to see. You.
- 41:43I almost tripped on it. I always poked your eye out.
- 41:46You know you're taller than B. If I didn't have my glasses,
- 41:49I'd. Safety.
- 41:50Safety goggles. Safety goggles, yeah.
- 41:53Let it be known that this is also the summer of body
- 41:55confidence. Absolutely.
- 41:56I went to the pool, I took my shirt off.
- 41:59I let people see. And those senora saw.
- 42:02Oh, that Senora was looking. Saw I was.
- 42:05Putting on my tanning lotion, my sunscreen and that Lady is just
- 42:08like I was locked she's. She's she's like the kids at the
- 42:12stores that just like stare because like they're kids.
- 42:15That was her starstruck. Glad she enjoyed this show, it
- 42:19made me feel good. Dude, she was, she was digging
- 42:21you. Oh good.
- 42:23I'm happy to have a blind. I wish she would have paid me.
- 42:27She didn't? No.
- 42:28Why did she pay you? I could've no, I could've done
- 42:30she like passed by and she like. Oh no, she just pinched my
- 42:33nipple. Oh, oh, that's what it was.
- 42:36She thought it was some like a little piece of string or
- 42:38something. She's like, you know, let me
- 42:40take the string out of the water.
- 42:41Whoops, That's Brian's nipple. It's, it's, it's been a while.
- 42:51It's it's fun recording. We're having fun.
- 42:54Yeah, it's cool holding the mic again.
- 42:57Yeah, we haven't recorded, but we still have seen each other or
- 43:01played video games. Every other day, yeah.
- 43:03So you know what? We've said some funny things and
- 43:06you guys will never know. Exactly.
- 43:08We'd be on the Fortnite mic just dropping bangers.
- 43:11We're. Bangers, so funny slapping.
- 43:16There's accents. There's sentence finishing all,
- 43:22all the time, especially in Fortnite.
- 43:23Fortnite is the game where we finish each other sentences.
- 43:31Yeah, it's, it's just crazy. We'll get on the battle bus and
- 43:35we're like, hey, so we're going to land at.
- 43:38Kappa, Kappa, some. Yeah, that place.
- 43:46I can't think of the names. I'm trying to think of all the
- 43:47names of the. It's Kappa something, isn't it?
- 43:50Kappa Kappa something. I don't know.
- 43:52Yo, Kappa. Kappa sounds like.
- 43:55Oh, my God. Did you ever watch Chowder?
- 43:57Yeah, of course. What was that?
- 43:58The the rod rod. Rod, Rod, Rod.
- 44:04And nothing can't go wrong. Oh, that was a that was a TikTok
- 44:08sound. Oh no, it all went wrong.
- 44:10I. Think Have you ever watched the?
- 44:12Lorax. I think so.
- 44:15Yeah. Little dude.
- 44:16Yeah, the little orange one. Yeah, yeah, Moustache.
- 44:19Yeah. That I wish I had.
- 44:20He's been all over my For You page recently.
- 44:23People pretending to be him. Or just like clips from that
- 44:26movie. I've never seen it but I feel
- 44:28like I understand Gen. Z because I think they love that
- 44:32movie. Interesting because I like the
- 44:33movie. They grew up, I guess.
- 44:35But the one seller, he's like this emo looking E boy, Yeah.
- 44:39Yeah, yeah. And I feel.
- 44:40Like they all base their personality around him.
- 44:41OK. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:43I don't know. That was just a weird rabbit
- 44:45hole went down through. Interesting.
- 44:47Wow. The Lorax, I mean.
- 44:49I'm not going to watch it. Yeah, I know.
- 44:53What did I just Oh, I mean, this is just a side note, but I've
- 44:56also caught up on a lot of movies I've seen.
- 44:58I don't watch movies, guys. I grew up like I, I grew up and
- 45:02never seen a movie in my life. I watched my first movie at 25,
- 45:05but no, a lot of Disney movies I've watched over the years.
- 45:08It was Twilight. It was Twilight's one of them.
- 45:11That was the first movie I saw and the.
- 45:15All that blew your mind? Yeah, like the the the amount of
- 45:18the production value and everything that it showed, it
- 45:21was like, wow, this is a really good film.
- 45:23This Yeah, the ketchup scene was my favorite.
- 45:26Cinematography, yeah, it really makes you think.
- 45:28The extras in the bag actually playing hacky sack, Yeah, no
- 45:31drivers in the trucks passing by.
- 45:32But also there's like no hacky sack.
- 45:34Exactly. And there's no ketchup coming
- 45:36out of the. Yeah, you know, it's all it's
- 45:37it's. Just it all means something.
- 45:39Yeah, it just it. You don't always need the actual
- 45:42ketchup coming out of the bottle.
- 45:43You don't know, you just have to like it's implied.
- 45:46Exactly. You as the viewer, like it is
- 45:49your responsibility to to know what's supposed to happen.
- 45:53The movie's not supposed to tell you.
- 45:54Yeah. And it's supposed to show.
- 45:55You. And if it doesn't, it's that
- 45:56straightforward, then is it really doing its job?
- 45:58No, it's a bad movie. Exactly.
- 46:01So what movie did you watch? What have you been watching?
- 46:02So there was a movie that has been recommended by our friend
- 46:07Dave forever since I first met him like a year and a half ago.
- 46:11He said, watch This is Spinal Tap.
- 46:16This is Spinal Tap is I forgot the director's name, but he he
- 46:22is a director who made when Harry Met Sally and like all
- 46:25these other ones like with Billy Crystal, but this is Spinal Tap
- 46:30is amazing. It's a it's a it's a
- 46:32mockumentary about this band and it is so funny.
- 46:37The humor, dry humor, just like God, 10 out of 10 movie and it's
- 46:42free on it's free. Yeah, it's on archive.org.
- 46:45It's not on any streaming server.
- 46:46You can you can buy it. On, I think you're gonna say
- 46:49it's like it's on Tubi. Oh, with that it's on a dot.
- 46:52Org website. But yeah, that was one of the
- 46:55movies that I really enjoyed a couple weeks, a couple weeks
- 46:58ago, a month ago maybe. And then Disney or Pixar,
- 47:01whatever it is. I saw Aristocats, which I really
- 47:04loved. I love that movie.
- 47:06Aristocats was so good, I had so much fun.
- 47:09I love the cast. It has some problematic scenes.
- 47:11Absolutely, Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely.
- 47:12A lot of stereotypes, yeah. 1970 something I think or.
- 47:16That's when it came out. Yeah, it was.
- 47:18Old Have you seen all good dogs go to heaven?
- 47:21No Jerry. OK, AM.
- 47:23I going to cry. Yes, I was.
- 47:27I'm already cried. I was asking Jerry what movies
- 47:29he hasn't seen, which he just started watching them.
- 47:32There's a lot. I asked him if he's seen
- 47:35Brokeback Mountain. We're on the same boat, Drake.
- 47:40You know how? You're Jerry.
- 47:42What other Jerry do you think I'm talking about?
- 47:44I thought you're a different. No shout out to other Jerry.
- 47:47He's always saying, when am I going to be on the podcast?
- 47:49Shout out to Jerry, I thought he was talking about you.
- 47:51You know I'm. Literally talking about you.
- 47:54No, I think about you. You you said I told Jerry and
- 47:57then OK, sorry. Yes, you Jerry.
- 47:59I thought Jerry, I'm sorry. I thought we showed a moment
- 48:01there. OK, Jerry, I thought we were on
- 48:02the same boat where you haven't watched movies like I like I'm.
- 48:06Sorry that Jerry loves his. Movie.
- 48:07I'm sorry if I assumed that you didn't.
- 48:09Watch No, we go to karaoke. We do karaoke and he's like
- 48:12hitting all the the Disney musical class.
- 48:14Of course. That's amazing.
- 48:16He's a good singer. I feel like you and your circle
- 48:20are just good singers. Thank you.
- 48:25Thank you. I.
- 48:25Wish I could see. You.
- 48:27Can you're not bad. I'm not good, but it's fun.
- 48:31But it's fun. There's there's like, there's
- 48:33singers and then there's vocalists.
- 48:35OK, you're a singer. Vocalists are like Kelly
- 48:37Clarkson. Oh.
- 48:38So you're a singer. OK, OK, just have a unique
- 48:40voice. I'm also a dancer.
- 48:42Oh, Jerry's such a good dancer. Yeah, I took a ballet.
- 48:45He Jerry's the one who taught me how to twerk.
- 48:48He has the ability to move one, but she get a time.
- 48:50I've never seen a man do that. It it's it's talent talent.
- 48:55Dumpy ology. You just got a dumpy ology.
- 48:59I got my bachelor's in. Throwing it back.
- 49:04Yeah. But I, I there was a list of
- 49:08movies or there's just movies. I've asked Jerry if he's seen
- 49:11and he has said no, which is. Well, now we know it is All Dogs
- 49:16Go to Heaven. Such a good movie.
- 49:18Such a good movie. I would love to watch that and
- 49:22broke Brokeback Mountain, which just had it's like 20th
- 49:25anniversary. It was back in theaters.
- 49:27I haven't seen that since I was like maybe 12 or 13.
- 49:29So I would like to watch it again.
- 49:31We should watch it together. I'm done.
- 49:33Mention that to Jerry and he said as penance.
- 49:36Not as penance. It was as.
- 49:39Torture. It was a trade clause.
- 49:41I will watch the movie that you're recommending because
- 49:43you're saying it's good and I believe you.
- 49:45I will watch a good movie. I've never been recommended to
- 49:48like a bad movies. I've seen bad movies, but when
- 49:51Dulce or anyone's like you have to watch this movie and I watch
- 49:53it, I'm like, OK, I see why so continue.
- 49:58He says he will watch Brokeback Mountain if I watch Lame Is.
- 50:04Let me sit. Down.
- 50:05Well, it hurts to say it. For some reason Brian has his
- 50:08vendetta beef. With beef.
- 50:11With Hugh Jackman. No, no, no, not Hugh Jackman and
- 50:15Anne Hathaway and Anne Hathaway and never, never her.
- 50:19And you know what? That's the through line to us
- 50:21doing this double feature. Anne Hathaway's in both movies.
- 50:23Exactly, that's the connection. I've tried to watch late miss.
- 50:28It came out when I was in high school.
- 50:30They were doing high school theatre and everyone was like
- 50:32damn it guy, it's all good. They're doing les miss.
- 50:35Maybe I just want to be contrarian.
- 50:37When people are like Oh my God, it's so good when it comes out,
- 50:39I feel less motivated to watch it.
- 50:42OK. Which is why haven't watched
- 50:44Fantastic Four. I haven't watched Superman.
- 50:48I just. Saw we, we have been telling
- 50:50like Superman was so good, you got to go watch.
- 50:52Superman was so good. I haven't watched Fantastic
- 50:53Four. I still want to, but I can see
- 50:57that it's not a bad thing. Same with TV, especially with TV
- 51:00shows. People are telling me, oh, it's
- 51:02so good, you should watch it. No, that's why I haven't watched
- 51:06Game of Thrones. To be fair, Game of Thrones is
- 51:10super long and I understand that it might be the Super long of
- 51:14things like like, oh, that's a really long movie or that's a
- 51:16really long show that might, it's the commitment.
- 51:20And I think that takes a lot of time.
- 51:22I do not watch shows. It's hard for me to start sit
- 51:24down and watch a show. I feel like it's just like,
- 51:26'cause I'm older and I'm like, I'd rather play for date.
- 51:29I'm tired that way. Yeah.
- 51:30And even then video games, it's, it's besides Fortnite and like
- 51:35what? What's we're playing?
- 51:36We'll we'll get to that. I don't have the drive to play
- 51:39video games and sit there for hours.
- 51:40Like I want to sit there, but I just I get tired.
- 51:42I'm like, I want to go to bed. I'm sorry, bedtime.
- 51:45I have to go upstairs. Dang it.
- 51:48So we're going to watch Les Mis. We're going to watch.
- 51:52Les Mis and Brooke, we should, we should watch a couple movies
- 51:57and then come back and then we'll tell everyone.
- 51:59About them, yeah. And if I'm sure everyone here
- 52:02has watched. If not, that's your guys's
- 52:04homework. As soon as you can watch
- 52:05Brokeback Mountain, we cannot deliver.
- 52:07Watch All dogs go to heaven and then you have to give us another
- 52:11option. I mean, I'd say watch This is
- 52:15Spinal Tap, but it's like an older film.
- 52:18Who cares? Watch This is Spinal Tap?
- 52:20I I love that. Movie.
- 52:22See, I haven't watched it, so I'll watch.
- 52:24It it's it's funny. It's so good.
- 52:27Yeah. So then I watched the two Disney
- 52:31movies, watched the two Disney movies, ERISA Cats and the Sword
- 52:38in the Stone, and then The Sword of the Throwbacks.
- 52:41I loved The Sword in the Stone. That is like the first movie
- 52:47where after seeing it, I was like, if I watched this as a
- 52:50kid, I would have been obsessed. The last time I felt like that,
- 52:53which I could be wrong because there might have been other
- 52:54ones, but Star Wars. If I watched Star Wars as a kid,
- 52:57I would have been obsessed. That would have been my whole
- 52:59personality. And yeah, that's it.
- 53:02Because yeah, after I watched those as like a teenager, I was
- 53:04like, oh, this is amazing. And it was, that was my
- 53:06personality for the weeks to come.
- 53:10But yeah, the sword in the sun was fun.
- 53:12I was like, wow, magic, wow, shape shifting.
- 53:17That's so cool. I don't think I remember now
- 53:19you're going into the the plot of it or like what happens?
- 53:22I don't remember. It's a super short movie.
- 53:24It's like an hour and like 15 minutes.
- 53:25I remember the stone and there's the the the blonde kid, right?
- 53:29Is he the one getting this? I already remember.
- 53:32That's literally what I remember.
- 53:34Wow, I'll watch that too. Yeah.
- 53:35Do you remember Merlin? Does he wear a wizard hat?
- 53:40Yeah, he is a wizard. Does he have a big white beard?
- 53:42Yes. And a blue pointy hat?
- 53:43Yes. It's coming to me in flashbacks.
- 53:46It's all coming back to me now. Well, that's been our summer so
- 53:52far. It it's almost over.
- 53:56It is almost over, which is good 'cause I hate the heat.
- 54:00I summer is over in theory but not in actuality.
- 54:04It is so hot right now. It is.
- 54:06It's disgusting and it's gonna get worse.
- 54:09Don't tell me that. And I think for the next couple
- 54:11days, so. I can't wait till we just.
- 54:13It's cold and I have to go outside wearing a sweater I
- 54:18love. Layers.
- 54:19I love layers. I love I don't sleep with
- 54:21blankets on. I I, I hardly do.
- 54:22I just. Even in the winter, like when
- 54:24it's. Cold.
- 54:24No. When it's cold and I'm like,
- 54:26wow, I can I feel cold. Throw five of them.
- 54:28I put like, yeah, I put like 6-7 Kobe has on me and the thick
- 54:33ones and I wake up hot so I take them off, but then I get cold
- 54:35and I just put them back on. It's beautiful.
- 54:38That that's a nice problem to have being too being too warm
- 54:42and you can instantly. Get cold.
- 54:44Love that. Yep.
- 54:45Yeah, I like being cold and wanting to get warm.
- 54:49I like, I love that sometimes I'll be cranking my AC and when
- 54:53I'm in the living room I'm cold and I want to be wrapped in a
- 54:55blink. It's a little burrito, just
- 54:58toasty. Like that Homer meme when he's
- 55:00in the Covica. Just not in the sheets.
- 55:04Yeah. That's how I want to be.
- 55:08Well, it's been a privilege. It has been back here talking to
- 55:11you guys. It feels like we just reunited
- 55:14with like that friend that we haven't seen in so long, and
- 55:17then you meet with them and you just pick up where you last left
- 55:19off. That's what it feels like.
- 55:21It's it felt like we were on summer break and we came back to
- 55:24like the next grade. How was your summer?
- 55:28Oh my God, we're in 6th grade now dude.
- 55:31It's been so long and it's been like 8 weeks.
- 55:33Yeah, it's been 8 weeks but it feels like forever.
- 55:35It does. It feels like an eternity.
- 55:37You have a beard now. Time is different when you're
- 55:40older. It's too short.
- 55:42Way too short. It goes by too.
- 55:43Fast things change. People change, people leave,
- 55:47people come back. You pay bills you don't pay.
- 55:49Bills. Yeah, I hate paying bills.
- 55:53Send us money. Sponsor us.
- 55:56I want to write off my rent as my taxes.
- 55:58My rent and my taxes. Oh, that'd be.
- 56:01Fun. No, we would rent a whole studio
- 56:03if that's possible. One day.
- 56:06BJ Studios would be a physical place and then we'd come at you
- 56:10in video form. That would be fun and we would
- 56:14wear costumes. Oh my God, the outfits, outfits,
- 56:17outfits for episodes. The outfits would be legendary.
- 56:20Yeah, they would be. We'd come in looking like
- 56:22freaking counselors in Park Rangers.
- 56:25Yeah, we're, we're, we're accepting applications summer
- 56:2820. 35 today my Co worker, I was wearing an outfit for our event
- 56:34today and my Co worker said you couldn't look like you came out
- 56:37of Jumanji and I was like thank you.
- 56:40That's the greatest thing I've ever heard.
- 56:42Wait, what's his name in the black?
- 56:45In the yeah, No, no, no. In the original Robin Williams.
- 56:48Robin Williams? Like honestly, Robin Williams or
- 56:50Jack Black. Robin Williams.
- 56:52Kind of hot. Kind of hot.
- 56:54That man had a good chesser on him.
- 56:56Yeah, I do. I remember that.
- 56:58One in the same I. Wish I had chesser.
- 57:05I just sponge Jacob my chest hair.
- 57:07One day, mijo, one day when you grow up.
- 57:08Did you braid them? You could tell from all the way
- 57:11over there. Is that a fishtail?
- 57:14I did a fade, I did a skin fade. Did you?
- 57:16Fade. Did you fade your desert?
- 57:19Oh no, wait, is that a braid or or your nipple?
- 57:21Hey, Emily, shirt on. Still All right, guys, we'd like
- 57:25to give you our recommendations. OK, our song recommendations.
- 57:29Doo Doo Doo. I we'll go second.
- 57:33All right, well, it's always spooky season.
- 57:35We're getting closer to spooky season, so I am going to
- 57:39recommend the original Dracula. Well, it's inspired by the
- 57:44original Dracula. This is Bauhaus.
- 57:46Bauhaus. Bella Lugosi's dead.
- 57:52That's Italian. What is that?
- 57:53Bela Lugosi, I think he's Italian, but he's he was the
- 57:57actor that did the first Dracula, I think.
- 58:00Oh, he makes music old. Yeah, that was the bandits of
- 58:03Bauhaus. Cool.
- 58:05I have something completely different to that.
- 58:08I have a song called 15 Minutes by Madison Beer. 15 minutes.
- 58:12Yeah, it's really cool. It's pop, but it's kind of
- 58:14Trancy Club, like Nubian. 2515 minutes, 15 minutes ago I was
- 58:21laying in bed. It's just like, oh, so much can
- 58:25happen you. Hit that.
- 58:26You sounded like Madison Beer right now.
- 58:28Thank you. Madison, Brian.
- 58:34No, I'm, I'm Brian Tequila. Brian.
- 58:37She's not some beer. I'm Brian Tequila.
- 58:39Brian Tequila that's never been used before?
- 58:41Nope. Then it then it had so many
- 58:43original thoughts. Oh for sure we all I got to say
- 58:47is I saw YouTube videos today of people ghost hunting.
- 58:51And it was the freaking Queen Mary.
- 58:53And what did we do? We did that.
- 58:55We did that before the list of like 3000 videos of people doing
- 59:00it before. Us.
- 59:01We were the first to do it under the name of the Daily BJ.
- 59:04Absolutely. Yeah, one of one.
- 59:10Thank you. It's been, it's been great.
- 59:12It's been, it's been amazing. Do you like jazz?
- 59:16Yeah. Oh my God, we didn't talk about
- 59:18the thrift store. OK, last story before we go.
- 59:21We'll come back. No, we have to tell them.
- 59:23OK. If you made it this far, you
- 59:25hear you're going to hear the funniest thing that experienced
- 59:27this summer. This is the extras.
- 59:29This also came this summer. It all goes back to nipples.
- 59:32It really does. You see all the all roads lead
- 59:35back to nipples. We went to the thrift store,
- 59:37Brian and I, We were like. I played hooky that day.
- 59:40My stomach was not feeling well and I said I can't go to work.
- 59:42Yeah, and I think I had just gone to the doctor and I was.
- 59:46Coming you. You hadn't started.
- 59:47Your you hadn't started. Working yet?
- 59:49No, not yet. You were.
- 59:50Still on your break? Yeah, but I think I went to the
- 59:52doctor that morning, so I was already on that side and I was
- 59:54like, Brian, let's go get coffee.
- 59:56Picked up Brian, we went to go have coffee.
- 59:59What did we do? Great coffee it was, really.
- 1:00:01Good, amazing coffee. Yeah, I enjoyed it.
- 1:00:03I will get more food next time because it was the tiniest
- 1:00:07little portion. Tiniest little crawfel.
- 1:00:09Crawfel. Great croissant waffle mix.
- 1:00:11It's like donkey and the dragon combination.
- 1:00:15So we get coffee, we leave, We're driving down the street
- 1:00:19and we see a thrift store that. We see all the time and.
- 1:00:22We were like, I buy it. We've seen it.
- 1:00:24We're like, oh, we should go there one day.
- 1:00:25We should go there one day. We're like, what are you doing
- 1:00:27right now? Nothing.
- 1:00:27I got time. We did AU turn.
- 1:00:30No, we didn't. I turned into a business because
- 1:00:31I couldn't do AU turn practically.
- 1:00:33Yeah, I did AU turn. Flipped a bitch.
- 1:00:35Did AU turn flipped the car? Doesn't matter.
- 1:00:38We went to the thrift store. We go in the thrift store, look
- 1:00:42smaller on the inside. Yeah, it was smaller on the
- 1:00:45athletic. Yeah, look bigger from the
- 1:00:46outside. Yeah, Crazy.
- 1:00:48We're browsing through the, through the, through the,
- 1:00:50through the racks, through the Yeah.
- 1:00:52One chop. Keep just the man behind the
- 1:00:54counter. Yeah, helping some ladies.
- 1:00:57We're just browsing. We are jamming out to jazz
- 1:01:02because he was playing some really cool jazz in the
- 1:01:04background. I was bobbing my head like this.
- 1:01:06Like this guy. So look at him.
- 1:01:07Look at him. Yeah, Jazz.
- 1:01:12You like jazz? That's what he said.
- 1:01:15That's what he said. And so I look over and then I
- 1:01:19said, hey, how's it going? No, no, sorry, sorry.
- 1:01:21I I let me go back. He said, oh, he likes jazz
- 1:01:26points at Brian as he's like jamming.
- 1:01:27I'm like, oh. Hi all in Spanish by the way,
- 1:01:29All in Spanish speaking Spanish to Jess.
- 1:01:31Cool, you know, he'll be just like, laugh, nod, continue
- 1:01:34browsing and I say, oh, how are you today?
- 1:01:37Oh la como esta. And he says, are you guys
- 1:01:40brothers? Like almost instantly.
- 1:01:41Did not answer the question. Did.
- 1:01:43Not answer the question. Completely ignored my question
- 1:01:44said are you guys brothers? I'm like, Oh no, we're we're
- 1:01:48we're friends. And he's like, oh, OK.
- 1:01:50He's like, oh, I have a lot of summer clothes.
- 1:01:52And then I think he pointed out one of I.
- 1:01:55I was holding a tank. I pulled out a tank and he goes,
- 1:02:00Oh yeah, that's a good one. Uh huh.
- 1:02:02And saying yeah, Chichi. But I'm saying you had a chichi.
- 1:02:05To show some tits. And we were just like, yeah,
- 1:02:10like what? Dude, I how are you?
- 1:02:14How are you? We just.
- 1:02:15Met you, Sir. And he was just chilling on
- 1:02:18salami behind the desk or behind his counter and we're like, ha
- 1:02:21ha. And he's like, oh, we have some
- 1:02:22stuff outside for like a dollar and we're like, cool, we'll go
- 1:02:26check that out. It it didn't come off as like
- 1:02:30like Hosta or any, but it was just the most random encounter,
- 1:02:33encounter and like dialogue that we've had.
- 1:02:36He looked at us and said, oh, they're going to love this.
- 1:02:38Yup, Yup. He's like, show, show anything
- 1:02:41you want, Yeah. Show some titties.
- 1:02:42Show some nipple, freeze a nipple.
- 1:02:44So that was hilarious and we were like, wow.

- 1:02:49You guys, brothers, Sir, answer the question.
- 1:02:54How are you? Oh my God.
- 1:02:56He did not answer the question. And we did.
- 1:02:57Left without purchasing anything because there wasn't.
- 1:02:59There wasn't much to be honest. No, it was.
- 1:03:02I don't recommend it. It was, it was.
- 1:03:05It was trash. Yeah, a lot of like, Christian
- 1:03:09gospel records. I went to the records and like
- 1:03:12come on, let me find something. I looked at like the five pieces
- 1:03:15of clothing they had for men. And yeah, that was enough.
- 1:03:18Yeah. They did have a lot of cool,
- 1:03:20like random things, like some paintings, some like some sets.
- 1:03:24What are, what are they called? Like, like glassware sets.
- 1:03:27Yeah. Like vanity sets or whatever.
- 1:03:28Really nice. But yeah, I have room for that
- 1:03:31so. Well, what that was, that was
- 1:03:34the day. To a thrift store.
- 1:03:35What are you support your local thrift shops.
- 1:03:36Yes, unless they're bad. Unless they ask you.
- 1:03:39To show some titty. Yeah, get out of there.
- 1:03:42Yeah. To what we did.
- 1:03:44Run we right ahead don't come back.
- 1:03:46We ran to the dollar section and we're like, there's nothing good
- 1:03:47here by. We have to go.
