- 0:44Speaker 1: Bro, Welcome to another episode of Busting with the Boys.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Is this episode three sixty seven the Christian McCaffrey episode.
- 0:53Speaker 6: A beautiful episode, a wonderful episode.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Break Down with the Boys are super Bowl week. I'll
- 0:59Speaker 1: be honest with you, I'm hot right now. On the
- 1:00Speaker 1: bus we've been we've been rocking some interviews for the
- 1:03Speaker 1: last five hours.
- 1:05Speaker 6: Yeah, it's been a classic Monday usually, so that's the
- 1:07Speaker 6: day after the super Bowl. Usually this is when the
- 1:09Speaker 6: boys have like good two week break, a nice little
- 1:12Speaker 6: time to relax, de compress from the season. And then
- 1:15Speaker 6: we had a guy come on that can only do
- 1:16Speaker 6: it today because he goes out to do something else
- 1:19Speaker 6: that we're not gonna say because this episode hasn't come
- 1:21Speaker 6: out yet.
- 1:21Speaker 1: And it is a banger.
- 1:22Speaker 6: It is a banger. We did a recap that came
- 1:24Speaker 6: out yesterday that you guys were watching with Clay Matthews
- 1:27Speaker 6: and Delaney Walker Banger. Yeah, so it's been a good,
- 1:30Speaker 6: solid day of Bus with the Boys. But you can
- 1:32Speaker 6: just tell, you can feel it. We're running on e
- 1:33Speaker 6: a little bit right now.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, for all of our super Bowl recap, talking about
- 1:36Speaker 1: the Super Bowl Game halftime show, all that stuff that
- 1:39Speaker 1: was on our Bust with the Boys football recap yesterday
- 1:41Speaker 1: with Delaney and Clay Matthews. Today we'll be diving into
- 1:45Speaker 1: Christian McCaffrey hit some stuff up here at the top.
- 1:47Speaker 1: You guys know that drill. Always a little bit of
- 1:48Speaker 1: house cleaning going on. But also if you're a fan
- 1:51Speaker 1: of Busting with the Boys, these next five weeks, good
- 1:54Speaker 1: week to be a Bus with the Boys.
- 1:56Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, how long? Yeah, I think even more than
- 1:59Speaker 6: five weeks because we had some couple banked ones that
- 2:02Speaker 6: people are gonna be like, oh shit, yeah, yeah. We
- 2:06Speaker 6: might be in a We're like in a little month
- 2:08Speaker 6: and a half piece where I feel like everyone's gonna
- 2:09Speaker 6: enjoy it every single week. People for the first time,
- 2:12Speaker 6: people who've been here for many times. It's gonna be incredible.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yeah. But it's about eighty degrees in here, and we,
- 2:17Speaker 1: as always, we are brought to you and presented by
- 2:20Speaker 1: the FanDuel Sports Book. You know them, you love them,
- 2:24Speaker 1: The FanDuel Sports Book, America's number one sports book. The
- 2:27Speaker 1: Winner Games are here, and FanDuel is ready for them.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Because every four years, winter sports takeover. Curling matches that
- 2:35Speaker 1: start slow and somehow get tense, fast speedskating decided by inches,
- 2:40Speaker 1: hockey games that feel different from the opening face off,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and so much more. That's why betting the Winter Games
- 2:46Speaker 1: on FanDuel makes sense. From game lines to metal counts
- 2:50Speaker 1: to finding your angle on the events you care about most,
- 2:53Speaker 1: FanDuel gives you more ways to stay connected to the action.
- 2:56Speaker 1: The Winter Games are on, and there's no better way
- 2:58Speaker 1: to follow them than what they on FanDuel. Fandel Play
- 3:02Speaker 1: your game, Play your game.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Winter Games, Winter Games. Talking about that hockey team USA
- 3:07Speaker 6: Hockey four Nation's gotta get they get back against Canada. Boys,
- 3:10Speaker 6: got to have it. G t h I gotta have it,
- 3:13Speaker 6: got to have it. Come Oh yeah, oh thank you,
- 3:17Speaker 6: my friend. You gotta be kidding. Look at that true
- 3:20Speaker 6: classic envelope. You know what that means right now. We'll
- 3:24Speaker 6: hit that at some point, dude. But hey, Super Bowl
- 3:27Speaker 6: weeks in the books, Super Bowl, Super Bowl Week, is
- 3:30Speaker 6: an absolute sprint. You go through twenty weeks of the
- 3:32Speaker 6: season whatever since middle of August, essentially, and you're going
- 3:36Speaker 6: every single day. We're going every day, whether we're going
- 3:38Speaker 6: to ESPN, we're traveling out to a college football game.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Boys are sitting there having the locker room for the
- 3:43Speaker 6: Dad's podcast for Willie C. We hit the Bust with
- 3:46Speaker 6: the Boys recap show and busting like it has been
- 3:48Speaker 6: a crazy year for us. And this is kind of
- 3:51Speaker 6: like when the New Year starts. But San Francisco man
- 3:55Speaker 6: as chaotic as it is insanely fun.
- 3:58Speaker 1: They ripped. People are talking about all they cleaned up
- 4:00Speaker 1: the city. Look, I come into your house, and you
- 4:03Speaker 1: clean the house just because I'm coming over. I leave
- 4:05Speaker 1: your house. I'm like, oh, it's a nice house. Right,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it's a nice house, right, SAMs.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Your people are gonna say, hey, there's a lot of
- 4:10Speaker 6: homeless thereing like I didn't see when I was there.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, a whole lot.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Yeah, I saw a few. So I saw a couple
- 4:15Speaker 6: of danglars hanging out there.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Yeah. By the way, shout out, oh, here's a clean take.
- 4:19Speaker 6: I know we're doing clean take by Kevin's Nasvill Foods.
- 4:21Speaker 6: Here's a clean take. The best team in the NFL
- 4:24Speaker 6: won the super Bowl.
- 4:25Speaker 1: The ship clean take.
- 4:28Speaker 6: That's my second best clean take on this show.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Clean take. The super Bowl sucked.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Yeah, super Bowl did suck. It wasn't that fun to watch.
- 4:52Speaker 7: That's a clean observation, so loud, damn.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I got the clean take. Sorry for the ladies out.
- 5:17Speaker 6: There, ain't no ladies listening. Sorry to the figment of
- 5:22Speaker 6: my imagination of women watching this show. That didn't smell
- 5:25Speaker 6: so bad.
- 5:26Speaker 1: That's my bad.
- 5:29Speaker 6: My bad was an accident.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Clean take, my fault, dude, clean take.
- 5:36Speaker 6: You're gonna get pink on from your microphone.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I felt like I had something last week. The way
- 5:40Speaker 1: that contact scratched my eye, Oh my god. That no,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I Just'm out of cut. That was my last pair
- 5:46Speaker 1: of contacts and their dailies. I wore the dailies for
- 5:48Speaker 1: like three months. Yeah yeah, so I tried putting them
- 5:53Speaker 1: in the kind of burn. So I'm just like, oh,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I just got to get some more contacts, all right, Yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 1: it's some more.
- 5:57Speaker 6: You had rock in the glasses. I think it's a
- 5:58Speaker 6: nice little look.
- 5:59Speaker 1: For you to you man.
- 6:00Speaker 6: Yeah, clean tank, clean tak clean did we were at
- 6:04Speaker 6: a were at a Fandel event. It's me Will Gronkowski
- 6:07Speaker 6: Russell Wilson say kuon Barkley. By the way, Vandel's talk
- 6:10Speaker 6: about the way you guys introduce us. Maybe be a
- 6:11Speaker 6: little more, a little more love on our careers. But
- 6:15Speaker 6: there's a little uh like a Maui jim or a
- 6:18Speaker 6: glasses company and they give us free glasses and wheels
- 6:21Speaker 6: of them and a couple of nice Hawaiian glasses here,
- 6:23Speaker 6: very nice. We get the cars. I forgot my glasses. Glasses.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Everybody's gonna last it Like, oh, we're gonna uni up
- 6:29Speaker 1: tomorrow at the h the Fandel party and bud Light party,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, I forgot I left my
- 6:34Speaker 1: glasses in the neighbor or the car service whatever we add.
- 6:37Speaker 6: Yeah, clean take Alcatraz ripped top five. Oh the car
- 6:44Speaker 6: ride back, I know, dude. Also clean take that that
- 6:49Speaker 6: that town whatever we drove through, although we couldn't see
- 6:52Speaker 6: it because it was nighttime, Probably top five most beautiful
- 6:54Speaker 6: town we ever sa crazy.
- 6:57Speaker 1: That's imaginative too, because it's you couldn't see it, couldn't
- 7:01Speaker 1: see it, and it was just assuming that town was
- 7:03Speaker 1: going I.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Literally said at one point, we're got to stop my
- 7:05Speaker 6: You guys would dropped off right here and leave me
- 7:07Speaker 6: out have a fine life. Yeah, I know, I would.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Clean ta clean take clean take shout out, no free
- 7:13Speaker 1: shout out to Alcatraze though.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Yeah, Alcatraze ripped and I was so. I mean, I've
- 7:18Speaker 6: been there a bunch of times. My mom's from that area,
- 7:20Speaker 6: so we would go up there and see faim. I'm
- 7:24Speaker 6: just laughing about the people tuning in. It was tuning
- 7:27Speaker 6: in for Christian McCaffrey and it could be their first
- 7:28Speaker 6: time listening to this, and I'm just ripping ass within
- 7:31Speaker 6: the first few Yeah, that wasn't fun for me because
- 7:35Speaker 6: usually your tooths don't smell that. Usually I'm breathing. I'm breathing.
- 7:44Speaker 6: I'm breathing, but sitting it hard. If you're here, to
- 7:47Speaker 6: make sure you subscribe and follow us, yeah, please guys. Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 6: Alcatraze went hard.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah, just comment nice fart.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Yeah, but yeah, man, fucking what else is up?
- 7:59Speaker 1: Dude? What I got the I alluded to it on
- 8:03Speaker 1: the pod where we just have so and so we
- 8:05Speaker 1: can't say who.
- 8:06Speaker 6: But bro official bro official friend of the podcast, not
- 8:10Speaker 6: official will be official.
- 8:11Speaker 1: But I got the uh, I got the Plunge active
- 8:14Speaker 1: in the house, and I gotta say, I'm just so
- 8:18Speaker 1: obsessed with the setup. Yeah, and I got cooking in
- 8:20Speaker 1: the house right now. Boys, I got the Plunge. No
- 8:22Speaker 1: free shoutouts to Plunge. Yep. When I was putting it together,
- 8:27Speaker 1: Charle was out of dinner, So it's just kind of
- 8:29Speaker 1: I put Scottie down already. For whatever reason, I was
- 8:31Speaker 1: obsessed with just getting this thing all the way downe
- 8:34Speaker 1: and uh started ripping it, plugged it in, hit the
- 8:37Speaker 1: little button. It starts going, and I'm kind of looking
- 8:40Speaker 1: behind making sure all the all the hoses are intact
- 8:43Speaker 1: and everything else. And then all of a sudden's like
- 8:45Speaker 1: talking about dad. You know, there's some water, and I
- 8:47Speaker 1: look up and she's kind of got that little cleaner
- 8:49Speaker 1: net where she's getting something. I'm yeah, swait, heart stop,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you know, don't be splashing too much, and she's like, no,
- 8:54Speaker 1: dead water, and it's like starting to flood the room.
- 8:58Speaker 1: They're starting to get out. It's leaking almost to the door,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and so I panic. I rip out the court and
- 9:04Speaker 1: everything else, and I go and get like six towels.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm damping everything down. Rue, she goes and gets her
- 9:09Speaker 1: rain boots on. She's like, I can't touch the water.
- 9:11Speaker 1: She runs in and puts rain boots on them. Hey,
- 9:13Speaker 1: don't jump and splash in the water. And uh, yeah,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I was in a little bit of a panic because
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm thinking I got this. I got this plunge. It's
- 9:20Speaker 1: filled all the way up with water. It's inside yep.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So if there's a leak and I have no clue
- 9:25Speaker 1: where it's coming from, like, what am I gonna do?
- 9:27Speaker 1: How am I gonna fix this? Fortunately, I watched a
- 9:29Speaker 1: couple of YouTube videos and really I just had to
- 9:32Speaker 1: like retighten the hose. But I thought I was like intact,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but it, dude, it started to like get all over
- 9:36Speaker 1: the floor and everything else. But that little hot cold
- 9:38Speaker 1: combo I got rocking, dude, it is a dream.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Talks to about. Oh the sauna, Okay, I don't know
- 9:43Speaker 6: if your cold tub went hot and cold in my asses?
- 9:44Speaker 1: It does. Crazy. The little chiller, yeah, it got this
- 9:48Speaker 1: new this newer chiller that's with it, and it can
- 9:50Speaker 1: heat up to like one hundred degrees.
- 9:51Speaker 6: A little no hot tub too.
- 9:53Speaker 1: It can if you want to turn it into a
- 9:55Speaker 1: hot tub. Now we get the hot tub going outside
- 9:57Speaker 1: right now?
- 9:58Speaker 6: Yeah, boy got an off right now. Huh man, My
- 10:02Speaker 6: boy Willie moved into his house. He spent about three
- 10:04Speaker 6: days there. He's been there for two weeks. You're about
- 10:06Speaker 6: to head off the vacation too.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I know. I was sitting there last week in San Francisco.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Low key, kind of just missing the house. I just
- 10:13Speaker 1: want to go back to the house and just kick.
- 10:15Speaker 6: It, sit around, go sit in different seats because you
- 10:17Speaker 6: haven't been there yet.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I got a goon. I haven't gooned yet.
- 10:22Speaker 6: It's gonna be mid March and Will's gonna walk up
- 10:24Speaker 6: the chart and be like, man, how dope is this house?
- 10:25Speaker 6: Would be like, we've been here for four months? What
- 10:28Speaker 6: are you talking about? But yeah, nothing like dude, clean
- 10:32Speaker 6: take moving into a new spot?
- 10:37Speaker 4: You why do you think I do it?
- 10:39Speaker 1: So?
- 10:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I met you knows eating a new spot every
- 10:41Speaker 6: three months. Gota moving around a little bit.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I might have a spot open for you there.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Trying to move in will spot?
- 10:47Speaker 6: Oh yeah, trying to move to Post Road.
- 10:49Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, I can't afford that.
- 10:51Speaker 6: Oh sorry, yeah, sorry.
- 10:54Speaker 1: There.
- 10:56Speaker 6: We got a handful of them things in Nashville. Huh,
- 10:59Speaker 6: there's a couple did we uh after our Super Bowl?
- 11:02Speaker 6: So Tuesday, Tailor hits me up and she said, Hey,
- 11:04Speaker 6: are you going to Vegas for after like Saturday Saturday night?
- 11:07Speaker 6: I was like, wow, I wasn't planning. I was playing,
- 11:08Speaker 6: coming home and spending time with the family. She's like,
- 11:10Speaker 6: you're already out there. You might as well just go
- 11:12Speaker 6: out for like a one night and just see if
- 11:14Speaker 6: you can get something done. So right after we did
- 11:17Speaker 6: the form energy thing, which, by the way, I want
- 11:20Speaker 6: to put this on everybody's radar. Doing that form energy
- 11:25Speaker 6: thing and seeing all of those individuals get after and
- 11:28Speaker 6: the heart rate monitors and the Polar No shout out
- 11:30Speaker 6: to Polar, but they had a whole bunch of stuff
- 11:31Speaker 6: going on. I think it would be sick if they
- 11:34Speaker 6: do that again next year. If Bustin did it for sure,
- 11:37Speaker 6: and it's like a forty five to fifty minute workout
- 11:39Speaker 6: and it's all about your heart rate, I think it'd
- 11:41Speaker 6: be awesome if Bustin had our own little team and
- 11:43Speaker 6: we just did it for the love of the game.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Put that in the back of your heads. I know
- 11:46Speaker 6: a lot that I just put that on you guys,
- 11:49Speaker 6: but just put that in the back of your head.
- 11:50Speaker 6: So anyway, we finished that, We rip over the airport,
- 11:52Speaker 6: have some airport sushi, hang out a little bit, and
- 11:55Speaker 6: go to Vegas and boys, we banked their ass in
- 11:58Speaker 6: one night. Fruitful, fruitful, fruitful, snipe them, stated Caesar's for
- 12:03Speaker 6: the first time. Shout out nikky boy from Caesar's. Uh
- 12:07Speaker 6: got him there. I sniped a little a little peace
- 12:09Speaker 6: on them real quick. Hit up Dana, Hey, where's the
- 12:11Speaker 6: move tonight? He goes meet me at Red Rock home base.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Get the Red Rock. They're all sad at me. They're
- 12:16Speaker 6: sad disappointed at me that I'm not staying at Red Rock.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I get it.
- 12:19Speaker 6: I'm dating somebody else for a minute. She's pretty, by
- 12:21Speaker 6: the way, and beat their ass too. Had us is
- 12:26Speaker 6: a nice little deal.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Dang, so is Red Rock. They're going down. They're going down, and.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Not no no, no, no, no no.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I love it.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Red Rock will always be home. But I'm married to
- 12:37Speaker 6: one woman. Her name is Taylor. All right, as far
- 12:39Speaker 6: as my casinos go, Like, I love Red Rock, That'll
- 12:42Speaker 6: always be home. But I am okay, But I can
- 12:45Speaker 6: venture around a little bit. Yeah, it's a vacation. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 6: I'm gonna venture a little bit. You're in the strip.
- 12:50Speaker 6: It's a little bit different, a little bit of a
- 12:51Speaker 6: little bit of a vibe. I had like a wyoming
- 12:53Speaker 6: king bed. It's crazy. I rolled around that thing. I
- 12:57Speaker 6: did three rotations before I man to the other side. Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 6: it's a big boy. It's a big boy. So it
- 13:02Speaker 6: was a nice little setup.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Is Uh do we know Form's gonna do it? I don't.
- 13:07Speaker 6: I don't know, because well, the way the former thing
- 13:09Speaker 6: worked at worked was we obviously got up in the morning,
- 13:12Speaker 6: ripped over late night too. The Boy's Red FanDuel and
- 13:14Speaker 6: the bud Light party, post Malone, Green Day, very cool,
- 13:17Speaker 6: very fun events. He was great, dude. He sounded an
- 13:21Speaker 6: amazing live. We go to Green Day and it's like, oh,
- 13:22Speaker 6: these guys sound like you put them on Spotify. They
- 13:25Speaker 6: were awesome. It was awesome, and we're all kind of
- 13:28Speaker 6: all the little punk rock knives coming out. We're all
- 13:30Speaker 6: just loving our head back in the corner, having fun
- 13:32Speaker 6: talking to a bunch of who's who in the zoo
- 13:34Speaker 6: and uh So we had a late night there, get
- 13:36Speaker 6: back to the hotel, had what like five hours of
- 13:38Speaker 6: sleep maybe and go to this Form thing. Chandler's there,
- 13:42Speaker 6: sal Fasela's there. Me and sal get up.
- 13:45Speaker 4: We start talking.
- 13:45Speaker 6: We're on this like little bridge. We talked for a
- 13:47Speaker 6: little bit.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Go down.
- 13:48Speaker 6: Disco Lines is there? Who he like walks like, we're
- 13:53Speaker 6: sitting in the back. We're about to go on. He
- 13:54Speaker 6: goes up, he goes, hey, you put for the Titans.
- 13:56Speaker 6: It's like, yeah, his boy is like a Titans fan.
- 13:58Speaker 6: So we start chopping it up a little bit. Clump
- 14:00Speaker 6: facetimes Matt Malone because apparently Matt Willon's a huge Disco
- 14:03Speaker 6: Lines fan. They look alike, we put a couple of
- 14:06Speaker 6: posts up. Disco Lines is commenting, like kind of a bro.
- 14:10Speaker 6: Disco Lines is kind of a bro.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Yeah, all of us were just kind of we were
- 14:15Speaker 4: just kind of watching all I just looked around all
- 14:17Speaker 4: of us banging.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah the music.
- 14:19Speaker 6: How did you get fucking move them? That dude right there? Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 6: look at him. There's are two brothers talking on FaceTime
- 14:26Speaker 6: right there. Yeah, how crazy is that?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Matt just just a big fan of his big fan.
- 14:31Speaker 2: He starts the convo to Matt and he's like, what's up,
- 14:33Speaker 2: you handsome motherfucker?
- 14:34Speaker 6: It was yeah, yeah, that's awesome. But yeah, I do that,
- 14:37Speaker 6: and then the whole event was essentially the most in
- 14:41Speaker 6: shape people I've ever seen in my life getting after
- 14:43Speaker 6: it while me and Sally and Mike just have microphones
- 14:45Speaker 6: were like, ah, all right, Team Blue and it was
- 14:49Speaker 6: just it was awesome. It was a great time. Cruise
- 14:51Speaker 6: out of there about tenns before was over made our flights.
- 14:54Speaker 8: Yeah, sure, quick question, is that literally the size of
- 14:57Speaker 8: a Wyoming king size?
- 14:58Speaker 6: Bet? I think it's like that.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It was.
- 15:00Speaker 6: I'll say this, I'm not sure if it was a
- 15:02Speaker 6: Wyoming king Alaskan king how those things work. It was
- 15:05Speaker 6: way bigger than a king size or a California king.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Way bigger. Like my feet.
- 15:09Speaker 6: I had like this much room with the feet, which
- 15:11Speaker 6: I've never had in my life. I mean there was
- 15:14Speaker 6: you know, there's like sets of pillows and like usually
- 15:16Speaker 6: a king has like two sets of pillows with maybe
- 15:18Speaker 6: a little space in the middle. Ye, three long sets
- 15:21Speaker 6: of pillows across. Its very cool, man. No, not in
- 15:28Speaker 6: my house. You mean you've been to my house? Have
- 15:30Speaker 6: you been in my master bedroom? When we build in
- 15:32Speaker 6: the house, it was like, let's build a smaller master
- 15:34Speaker 6: bedroom with the thought process of you don't you sleep
- 15:38Speaker 6: in there. You don't want it to not really hang out.
- 15:39Speaker 6: And then I go to this motherfucker's house right next
- 15:41Speaker 6: to me. He's got a little sitting area. I'm like,
- 15:45Speaker 6: I should have built a bigger master Man, because that's
- 15:47Speaker 6: kind of nice. It's a little sitting area. Those a
- 15:49Speaker 6: little fuzzy like you have, like what are those little
- 15:52Speaker 6: fus like like a golden doodles for years? Man like
- 15:56Speaker 6: you that's some cool Like it's just kind of sitting
- 15:58Speaker 6: over there. Yeah, it's a nice sesthetic, a little fireplace
- 16:00Speaker 6: behind it. Yeah. When I was like, oh my, and
- 16:03Speaker 6: I'm walking around out to gas your house up more.
- 16:05Speaker 6: But he's gotten a great little like, uh, you know
- 16:07Speaker 6: what Porsche has that like forest green like that that's
- 16:10Speaker 6: got like an iconic Porsche color they have like that
- 16:13Speaker 6: with like golden accents. And I'm like kind of pointed
- 16:17Speaker 6: all out, and char was like, oh, I wasn't familiar
- 16:18Speaker 6: that you were like into into your design. She didn't
- 16:20Speaker 6: know my background.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah, she didn't know that you had that in your bag. Yeah,
- 16:24Speaker 1: Charles obsessed with those green colors.
- 16:26Speaker 6: Yeah, and hey, I think it is the best accent
- 16:28Speaker 6: color you can have in a house at this moment,
- 16:30Speaker 6: right now. What's coming back, No, that's not it. What's
- 16:33Speaker 6: coming back is we've kind of gone through a phase
- 16:36Speaker 6: with houses like the contemporary. Look the whites and the blacks,
- 16:39Speaker 6: and there's not a whole lot of color. And then
- 16:41Speaker 6: recently they like home Alone, the Home Alone house just sold,
- 16:46Speaker 6: it was remodeled and it's all white and black Moore Contemporary,
- 16:49Speaker 6: and I feel like humans are getting back to like,
- 16:51Speaker 6: let's have homes with some more character involved in it.
- 16:53Speaker 6: And I feel like yours is the perfect blend between
- 16:57Speaker 6: like a modern type of home with like, you know,
- 16:59Speaker 6: your your earthiest, but you also have nice accents, which
- 17:02Speaker 6: kind of just juices me up because yeah, they look
- 17:05Speaker 6: at that, that's the house now. Kind of makes you sad,
- 17:08Speaker 6: doesn't it. Yeah, you much to live in that top
- 17:10Speaker 6: one right, that one down there that's an Airbnb. You
- 17:14Speaker 6: scroll up, You're like, I'm at Grandma's house. Yeah, I
- 17:16Speaker 6: feel good about that. Wallpaper is coming back, dude. Every
- 17:20Speaker 6: piece of our house that has wallpaper, I always kind
- 17:22Speaker 6: of feel warm and fuzzy on them around it. Yeah,
- 17:24Speaker 6: my kids get some nice wallpaper. Shit, you guys are
- 17:26Speaker 6: kind of living.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you get wallpaper. We have wallpaper in like the
- 17:30Speaker 1: bathrooms and stuff. Yeah, I'm just like, I mean, yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 1: that's what you want.
- 17:33Speaker 6: Clean take a wallpaper bathrooms, funky wallpaper bathrooms hit hard,
- 17:39Speaker 6: they clean tas clean. Take yes, yeah, thank you, thank you.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Also the homeless in San Francisco.
- 17:46Speaker 1: If you could switch anything for you can look at
- 17:51Speaker 1: it the next year Super Bowl. What's a change you would.
- 17:54Speaker 6: Like to see two teams that are the same one?
- 17:56Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, I'll talk about our week most of
- 17:58Speaker 1: the boys week.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Can I say the thing that was put on game
- 18:03Speaker 6: at us on a street? If I could change one
- 18:06Speaker 6: thing about our super Bowl week from here on out,
- 18:08Speaker 6: it would be that this bus is at Radio Row,
- 18:12Speaker 6: that our bus is either in the building or on
- 18:14Speaker 6: the side of the building.
- 18:15Speaker 1: But like maybe like one of the just popular areas
- 18:17Speaker 1: where we were seeing a bunch of guys.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Right, like you have a stage and maybe it's like
- 18:20Speaker 6: dressed like the bus, but like having a bus with
- 18:22Speaker 6: the boys set up there on the outskirts. We gotta
- 18:26Speaker 6: do that next year, agreed, the amount of people that
- 18:28Speaker 6: run through and like our shows will look different for
- 18:31Speaker 6: sure for those next five weeks. But like you're able
- 18:34Speaker 6: to get like a miles Garrett and Justin Jefferson and
- 18:36Speaker 6: who like all these like big time guys walking through
- 18:39Speaker 6: hit like twenty minutes with each of them. One episode
- 18:41Speaker 6: is like three of those guys. That would be awesome
- 18:45Speaker 6: even if we like go live for five minutes.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the one thing I think about, is
- 18:49Speaker 1: is there a spot where we could go in a
- 18:51Speaker 1: day or two later?
- 18:54Speaker 6: Yeah, go on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Right, because a Saturday it does make sense. But by
- 18:58Speaker 1: the time I hit basically Thursday, I'm just itching to
- 19:02Speaker 1: get home.
- 19:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Where we push it back a day, just have a
- 19:07Speaker 1: little bit more fuel in the tank. By the end
- 19:08Speaker 1: of the week, I feel like we had good fuel
- 19:10Speaker 1: the entire time.
- 19:11Speaker 6: Well, Sunny Dee was alive and well a few times,
- 19:13Speaker 6: but yeah, for the most part of the actual juice
- 19:15Speaker 6: itself was good boys. Re Vibeman think I think if
- 19:18Speaker 6: I could change another thing too, it's decision fatigue. Like
- 19:23Speaker 6: when we're a handful of times were trying to figure
- 19:26Speaker 6: out where to eat. I'm I'm looking at the group
- 19:27Speaker 6: chat and I'm obviously like I'm saying, we need to
- 19:29Speaker 6: be better. I'm guilty of this. I didn't say shit
- 19:31Speaker 6: in the group chat. I'm thinking I'll just go eat
- 19:33Speaker 6: on the eighth floor again. I really don't give a fuck.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you know that we need to coin somebody in
- 19:39Speaker 1: the group outside of clump that is the dinner person.
- 19:41Speaker 6: The dinner person exactly.
- 19:42Speaker 1: They pick it.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Every night. We have a standing resie somewhere and it's
- 19:48Speaker 6: dialed because we hit a couple of good spots. But
- 19:50Speaker 6: when we're sitting there, we had to leave an hour
- 19:53Speaker 6: for FanDuel. But you know we're gonna go down by
- 19:56Speaker 6: FanDuel or should we eat somewhere? We can't really eat
- 19:58Speaker 6: somewhere anymore because now we're it takes some time to
- 20:00Speaker 6: get around San Francisco. I think, man, grab a damn
- 20:03Speaker 6: sandwich on eight on the eighth floor.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Eighth floor was to the ritz. Yeah, clean, take your
- 20:09Speaker 1: food on the eighth floor was great.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Clean.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Take Leo Leo from the rich shout Leo from the list.
- 20:14Speaker 2: He just took care of us. He always made sure
- 20:16Speaker 2: man did last day with the banana.
- 20:18Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, bro, dude, Leo Leo. He was a guy
- 20:21Speaker 6: at the front desk. Whenever you get off the All Leader.
- 20:24Speaker 6: We hooked him up some true classic.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Well yeah, it was that three three hundred dollars class.
- 20:29Speaker 2: He actually just texted me and said, when that goes live,
- 20:30Speaker 2: let me know.
- 20:31Speaker 1: He wants to show his family. That's awesome. It's so cool.
- 20:33Speaker 6: Yeah, that he'll be a blog and everything like that.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Did you have something to add.
- 20:36Speaker 2: We got saved by the food at the Fandule party
- 20:39Speaker 2: because that night turned into we might not eat we
- 20:42Speaker 2: get there, we don't know if there's food, right. That
- 20:44Speaker 2: food kind of ripped at the Fandoh my god.
- 20:49Speaker 6: Yeah that was solid. And also that little chicken whatever
- 20:52Speaker 6: the chicken nugget thing on the side was the saw
- 20:54Speaker 6: Mine was cold, but this is warmer a little.
- 20:57Speaker 1: The little fried chicken fried chicken. Yeah. Bro that food though, Say.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Dude, we had our we had our yearly meeting with
- 21:04Speaker 6: the workahowks guys. They were awesome and the next.
- 21:06Speaker 1: They were fun. I had no clue sitting there. I'm like, oh,
- 21:08Speaker 1: this is gonna be on Netflix. Yeah yeah, I was
- 21:10Speaker 1: like I thought we were just cutting over on hanging
- 21:12Speaker 1: out with the boys.
- 21:13Speaker 6: Yeah. We uh. We went to the Volume Party, which,
- 21:15Speaker 6: by the way, if you've been to the Volume Party
- 21:17Speaker 6: the last four years like we have, this year was
- 21:19Speaker 6: incredible peak, so much fun, Like it's I think it's
- 21:22Speaker 6: the first time we stayed longer than thirty minutes. Yeah,
- 21:24Speaker 6: And there were so many people so he was to
- 21:26Speaker 6: talk to get to know like networking opportunities. And then
- 21:30Speaker 6: Michael Klein He's like, Hey, I'm gonna go to the
- 21:32Speaker 6: New Heights party. Do you want to go? And I
- 21:33Speaker 6: was like, oh, I'd love to go. See Traving the
- 21:35Speaker 6: boys go over there and the Workaholics guys were there.
- 21:39Speaker 6: Me There's and Blake like chopping it up for like
- 21:41Speaker 6: thirty minutes, just hanging out.
- 21:42Speaker 1: They were everywhere. Bro Adam was on our team for
- 21:45Speaker 1: the Booze Ponies at the Dozen. Yeah, and Blake and
- 21:47Speaker 1: Durs came, they were they were backstage chilling.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Dude, those guys are awesome. We had what Joe Burrow
- 21:55Speaker 6: was that was that the New Heights Party's.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Mitch said, who else showed up to the New Heights
- 21:59Speaker 2: Party that wasn't on the list but got on there,
- 22:02Speaker 2: got in there.
- 22:03Speaker 6: I don't know. The boys, Oh, the Fellas, the Fellows
- 22:08Speaker 6: ripped off. They were getting after the Volume Party, decide
- 22:10Speaker 6: to go to where'd y'all go?
- 22:12Speaker 2: Rubicon, Pete and George it was.
- 22:15Speaker 6: And I cruised over with Jack Klein and then Clein's boss,
- 22:20Speaker 6: so I can't remember his name, but we cruise over
- 22:22Speaker 6: in New Heights for a little bit and they just
- 22:24Speaker 6: pop up in the little the one roped off area
- 22:27Speaker 6: with Delaney and it's just them all just chilling in there.
- 22:29Speaker 6: I see Burrow. I'm like, clump, go get Burrow on
- 22:32Speaker 6: the podcast.
- 22:32Speaker 1: How much juice as you be here? Body out on.
- 22:35Speaker 6: The phone tail Like this motherfucker might be the most
- 22:36Speaker 6: handsome cat ever.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Yeah, Like this dude, he's got to swag the match.
- 22:40Speaker 6: He got the hair fucking goes.
- 22:41Speaker 4: He's got everything.
- 22:42Speaker 6: You know, when you get ready, he got every everything.
- 22:45Speaker 6: When you're putting intention into going out and you kind
- 22:48Speaker 6: of get dressed up nice and you kind of look
- 22:49Speaker 6: at your your hair and your hair looks really good,
- 22:51Speaker 6: and then you go to a party and a photo
- 22:53Speaker 6: is taking to view an hour later and your hair
- 22:54Speaker 6: looks way fucked up and it's way different. Joe Burrow
- 22:57Speaker 6: looks like you just got out of the bathroom from
- 22:58Speaker 6: getting ready. The entire nights. It was the wildest thing.
- 23:02Speaker 6: His hair didn't fucking move, but yeah, it looked wavy,
- 23:04Speaker 6: didn't look restricted, but it was set right where it
- 23:07Speaker 6: needed to be. It was beautiful to see, absolutely beautiful.
- 23:10Speaker 6: So Clumb goes up to Joe Burrow, Hey, we wanna
- 23:12Speaker 6: get you in the pod. Club walks back up to me.
- 23:14Speaker 6: He goes, he ain't coming on the pod.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Tell us what happened.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I just walked up to him, like introduced myself, and
- 23:20Speaker 2: then I kind of said, hey, we'd love to get
- 23:21Speaker 2: you on Busting with the Boys, and he looks at me.
- 23:23Speaker 2: He goes, I ain't coming on. I'm gonna be honest
- 23:27Speaker 2: with you. I don't do podcasts, so there ain't no
- 23:30Speaker 2: way I'm coming on bus boys. And I was like, hey, man,
- 23:32Speaker 2: all good, nice to meet you. I walked to Tailor.
- 23:34Speaker 2: He's like, what do you say he ain't coming on
- 23:36Speaker 2: the pot.
- 23:36Speaker 6: Yeah, And then Taylor I walked over to him. I go, hey,
- 23:39Speaker 6: I heard some terrible news. He's like, what are you
- 23:43Speaker 6: telling him? I was like, I heard a bad thing
- 23:45Speaker 6: about you just now, and he looks over at Club
- 23:47Speaker 6: looks and he goes, man, it's not you guys. He
- 23:50Speaker 6: like knew exactly what I say. But the way he
- 23:53Speaker 6: Joe Burrow shut us down was in a way It's
- 23:55Speaker 6: like incredibly refreshing. The way he Joe bead Yeah, the
- 23:59Speaker 6: way he Joe beats methentic because he's like, yeah, hey,
- 24:01Speaker 6: I don't like doing podcasts. If I did it, i'd
- 24:03Speaker 6: probably be great, but I just don't. I just don't
- 24:06Speaker 6: want to do podcasts. And I'm like, hey, it's all good.
- 24:09Speaker 6: And then he started going, well, you know, if you
- 24:11Speaker 6: catch me on the right day, and I was like, Joe, listen,
- 24:13Speaker 6: if we're gonna be the guys that see each other
- 24:15Speaker 6: once every year, we kind of wap up and walk
- 24:17Speaker 6: past each other and we pretend to be boys, Like,
- 24:19Speaker 6: let's let's not be liars to each other because I know, seriously,
- 24:21Speaker 6: if you catch me on the right day, I'll go
- 24:23Speaker 6: clump pops up. What about if we come in camp?
- 24:25Speaker 6: He goes, if you guys come in camp, I'm definitely
- 24:27Speaker 6: not fucking going. It's just like that, just like that pointer,
- 24:32Speaker 6: I'm definitely not fucking And it's like, all right, when
- 24:35Speaker 6: we become a OTAs and he like leans back, He's like,
- 24:38Speaker 6: I could see myself coming on the show. Is bro,
- 24:40Speaker 6: we come to you, We set up exactly where you want.
- 24:42Speaker 6: You just walk in and we hit it for thirty minutes.
- 24:44Speaker 6: He goes, got to catch me on the right day.
- 24:46Speaker 6: I go, I kind of need more than that. I
- 24:47Speaker 6: can't just show up in Cincinnati. He's like, well, I'm
- 24:50Speaker 6: not gonna make a deal with you right now, and
- 24:51Speaker 6: I was like, that's totally fair, but you will hear
- 24:53Speaker 6: our names.
- 24:53Speaker 1: We just carve out five days to go during ot
- 24:56Speaker 1: right knowing which day it's gonna happen.
- 24:58Speaker 6: That would be funny, fe five days in Cincinnati we
- 25:01Speaker 6: got interviewed Joe Joe. I went from hey, Tayo, who's
- 25:05Speaker 6: your white buffalo? Probably Vince Fond to Tayo, who's your
- 25:07Speaker 6: white buffalo? It's Joe Burrow.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Now, now you want it?
- 25:10Speaker 6: He made me want it. Yeah, now I understand what
- 25:12Speaker 6: all those girls are thinking. You know, I got somehow, Yeah,
- 25:14Speaker 6: I gotta get him, you know, dog he is? What's
- 25:19Speaker 6: he doing?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Man?
- 25:20Speaker 6: Oh? I make five hundred million dollars in him? Who
- 25:22Speaker 6: brought the Fuck's are your problem? Man? Clean tag?
- 25:25Speaker 1: So hot right now? Clean tag?
- 25:26Speaker 6: Joe Burrow's up to something.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Man.
- 25:31Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, Burrows so hot right now?
- 25:35Speaker 4: This bus would probably be hotter if he came If he.
- 25:38Speaker 6: Came on, didn't matter what the temp was in the
- 25:40Speaker 6: bus right up to the top, so hot. He probably
- 25:43Speaker 6: doesn't sweat, does he? You're probably right fucking Joey B Man.
- 25:47Speaker 6: Joe come on our show, dude. If you're a Cincinnati fan,
- 25:50Speaker 6: please tell Joe to come on our show. That's the
- 25:52Speaker 6: new White Buffalo. Yeah, yeah, it has to be. It
- 25:57Speaker 6: has to be. What do we think for Joe b
- 26:01Speaker 6: Just get out of here. Yeah, start the CMC podcast.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and we got bangers. We can say who we
- 26:06Speaker 1: got in the roll decks not this one, not the
- 26:08Speaker 1: one we did earlier today, but people saw photos. Yeah,
- 26:12Speaker 1: landed Patrick Willis bang banger, banger if you're a San
- 26:18Speaker 1: Francisco person tuning in right now. Patrick Willis was a.
- 26:21Speaker 6: Banger with the special guest, especially Gus being Delaney Like
- 26:25Speaker 6: will made a call ten minutes before the podcast started,
- 26:28Speaker 6: was like, Yo, Willis is coming on. You guys are teammates, Like,
- 26:30Speaker 6: I think he'd be more comfortable if you came. Delaney
- 26:32Speaker 6: being who Delaney is is like, I'll be there. Drop
- 26:35Speaker 6: the pin shows up before Patrick Willis and Patrick Willis
- 26:38Speaker 6: was on time. Then you know we're getting around San Francisco.
- 26:40Speaker 6: It's like, what are we doing, dude? Ten minutes not
- 26:44Speaker 6: even keeps it hunting.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Then we got Russell Wilson on banger Bo Jackson, we
- 26:51Speaker 1: got to go ahead, keep going, fill the air banger.
- 26:54Speaker 6: C M, isn't that thing? Who am I missing? I
- 26:57Speaker 6: know he had one other person, that's right, and the
- 26:59Speaker 6: one with we did Brave. So that podcast was absolutely incredible.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Heartbroken for the boy and then the right we're just
- 27:11Speaker 6: oh ship, Yeah yeah, we got a nice little lineup.
- 27:14Speaker 6: We got all the boys on this bus who booked
- 27:17Speaker 6: them all too, big time, working hard. Shout out clumpy
- 27:20Speaker 6: boy for doing that.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Yeah, nice work. And we got good validation and confirmation
- 27:24Speaker 1: from Russell Wilson too, So glad I did. That was refreshing.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It was a fun pod. It was you know, we
- 27:32Speaker 1: we we've said a couple we've joked around about it.
- 27:33Speaker 6: We've joked around about Russ. Yeah, yeah, we have, and
- 27:37Speaker 6: is pretty hot. Russ was savvy too. I think it
- 27:40Speaker 6: was like twenty minutes in he got our guards down.
- 27:42Speaker 6: He says, I know you guys have talked a little
- 27:43Speaker 6: shit on and I was like, oh, ship, so you do.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Consume Russell Wilson looking at me and saying right before
- 27:50Speaker 2: he left persistence is key was one of the greatest
- 27:53Speaker 2: moments in my life.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Man.
- 27:54Speaker 6: I'm yeah, fuck that was because you were the guy
- 27:56Speaker 6: that was kind of running everybody down, like sprinting. I think,
- 27:59Speaker 6: uh was it deal Sanders Jr. Yes, Yeah, he kind
- 28:02Speaker 6: of bought it.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I got body bagged.
- 28:04Speaker 1: If you have to watch.
- 28:05Speaker 6: Clum ran Away came back, He's like, yeah, it just.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Kind of kept walking. He's kind of like looking over. Oh,
- 28:12Speaker 1: it's it's tough. It's not worth.
- 28:14Speaker 2: It's not worth trying to try.
- 28:15Speaker 6: To just get will And I got bodied by one
- 28:17Speaker 6: individual at the Pro Bowl too. I'll give you a hit.
- 28:20Speaker 6: He scootered away from us pretty quickly.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Michael Parsons, Yeah, I'll just drop his name.
- 28:26Speaker 6: Yeah, Mike with the boys.
- 28:29Speaker 1: If you trying to get him a dab and he
- 28:31Speaker 1: just wasn't at all like he admitting to the dab
- 28:34Speaker 1: or giving.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Much aten you gotta get him on the pod to
- 28:36Speaker 2: talk about it.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Oh, he ain't coming here the boys.
- 28:42Speaker 6: I think that's the same as much as I want
- 28:45Speaker 6: Joe Burrow.
- 28:46Speaker 4: You know.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Miles Garrett though, talk about Miles Garrett.
- 28:51Speaker 6: He's a homie.
- 28:52Speaker 2: He was a homie dropping the glasses.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, Oh, you gotta do that pod in gray shorts.
- 28:57Speaker 6: I have to you have to have to do it
- 28:59Speaker 6: in gray shorts.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Mendozo.
- 29:01Speaker 6: Here's here's an issue. Does come on? Here's the problem.
- 29:06Speaker 6: I think a lot of these athletes are hearing from
- 29:07Speaker 6: their teams that Busting with the Boys wants them to
- 29:09Speaker 6: come on. That is very because we checked a couple
- 29:11Speaker 6: that said no to us and they're like, oh, I
- 29:13Speaker 6: had no idea. It's like, oh you didn't. Yeah, you
- 29:17Speaker 6: look at one and you don't know which one of
- 29:19Speaker 6: their teammate it and then you see him going to
- 29:20Speaker 6: do that.
- 29:20Speaker 1: It's one of those things. It's so chaotic for Super
- 29:23Speaker 1: Bowl week. So I understand if they don't hear that
- 29:26Speaker 1: bus is booking them because they got teams, Like I'm
- 29:29Speaker 1: sure they got brands they're working with. Those brands wanted
- 29:31Speaker 1: to do certain interviews or go here or go there,
- 29:33Speaker 1: so everybody else they kind of tell no, so it
- 29:35Speaker 1: doesn't trickle to the player, which sucks in our world, YEP,
- 29:38Speaker 1: because we're like, man, if we could just probably talk
- 29:40Speaker 1: to this dude, I bet he'd come on.
- 29:42Speaker 6: Yeah, and that's that worked. Yeah, got that done.
- 29:45Speaker 8: I feel like that happens more times, more times than not.
- 29:48Speaker 8: When I did the booking for a very short period
- 29:51Speaker 8: of time, but it was around the Super Bowl last.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Year, and that ma is always crazy. Man.
- 29:56Speaker 8: As soon as y'all DM them, they're like, yeah, I'm there,
- 30:00Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, I.
- 30:01Speaker 6: Know, but how do you get I guess yeah, that
- 30:04Speaker 6: that's a new world that we kind of need to
- 30:05Speaker 6: figure out, is like the booking standpoint, Like how do
- 30:07Speaker 6: we go about getting that done a little more clean?
- 30:11Speaker 1: It's really in those like I mean really the super Bowl, right,
- 30:14Speaker 1: it's really just in the super Bowl. It's always our
- 30:16Speaker 1: hardest issue. Stuff doesn't get booked up really until the
- 30:19Speaker 1: week of because there's so many lists that come through
- 30:20Speaker 1: the pipe, like here's a list we want on priority. Here,
- 30:24Speaker 1: here's who we want to go out to. You never
- 30:25Speaker 1: want to corner yourself in an interview you don't want
- 30:28Speaker 1: to be in because somebody that we really wanted is
- 30:30Speaker 1: now saying yes, and they.
- 30:31Speaker 6: Could pop up like twenty four hours before, Like Russ
- 30:33Speaker 6: wasn't booked until yeah, I know, before we did it.
- 30:37Speaker 6: That was a true like clump persistence thing, Like before
- 30:40Speaker 6: Russ was booked, I look at Clump and I go, hey,
- 30:42Speaker 6: I think we need to re evaluate the way you
- 30:44Speaker 6: approach guests. It's a lot, it's a lot.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I know, there's an like, there's examples we're probably thinking
- 30:50Speaker 1: of when when you're thinking that way. But also Russ,
- 30:52Speaker 1: it's like I knew who he's into coming on whenever
- 30:54Speaker 1: he saw us at the fans with parties, like, hey,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I just want you to know, like we're trying to
- 30:57Speaker 1: figure out figure out something. I was just trying not
- 30:59Speaker 1: to put any price sure because again one benefit was
- 31:01Speaker 1: that we were in the same hotel together. Yeah, so
- 31:03Speaker 1: you can't help but pass each other. True, true, introduce yourself.
- 31:08Speaker 1: But again we're not trying to play like.
- 31:10Speaker 6: B two, right. But that's why you have Clump, That's
- 31:13Speaker 6: why you got You need a guy like Clump to
- 31:14Speaker 6: go and be that guy because we're not gonna be
- 31:16Speaker 6: those guys.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:17Speaker 6: Because the one time I did put myself out there
- 31:19Speaker 6: a little bit, like man, they get you on a
- 31:20Speaker 6: bus and what's going on? They scared their ass away
- 31:21Speaker 6: from me and it wasn't fun. It was that that
- 31:24Speaker 6: wasn't a fun feeling for me. You know. AnyWho, we
- 31:28Speaker 6: feel good about it. Boys, we got a couple a
- 31:33Speaker 6: couple of pieces we got to hit. Huh oh damn,
- 31:36Speaker 6: Wenna do goooner of the month the month about to
- 31:39Speaker 6: take place right here. So obviously a massive year is
- 31:41Speaker 6: taking place. But this month in general has been absolutely incredible.
- 31:45Speaker 6: Let's see. Our gooner of the month for January is
- 31:52Speaker 6: Jeremy Clump on the bus right now? Clump, do you feel.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Uh?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been been a fun month. I appreciate you, guys.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I feel like this year in general was awesome. I'm
- 32:10Speaker 2: glad football season's over because you know, you see like
- 32:13Speaker 2: that finish line, but super excited for like even things
- 32:15Speaker 2: like the Super Bowl, already having plans for new things.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Super excited for this year again, some things in the
- 32:20Speaker 2: works that it's gonna be a fun ass year. But
- 32:23Speaker 2: love you guys, it's been fun fucking this is the
- 32:25Speaker 2: best time I love. I had somewhat, I mean, being
- 32:28Speaker 2: away from my wife and kids obviously sucked, but like,
- 32:30Speaker 2: what a week that guy. It was so hard to
- 32:32Speaker 2: come home and be like, hey, babe, I know it sucked,
- 32:34Speaker 2: but I had a great fun time. It was so
- 32:37Speaker 2: much fun hang with the boys. It's a great time.
- 32:39Speaker 2: So yeah, I appreciate y'all, let's let's get more guests
- 32:45Speaker 2: than twenty twenty six.
- 32:46Speaker 6: That's a kid, Let's book more guests in twenty twenty six.
- 32:49Speaker 6: Also on the horizon, which it's nothing more than our
- 32:53Speaker 6: dumb brains, but we have some massive stuff on the
- 32:55Speaker 6: rising for you the fan, for you, the audience member.
- 32:57Speaker 6: This year is the year of the audience. That that
- 33:00Speaker 6: phrase has been coined by William Earl Compton. We have
- 33:03Speaker 6: something that pipeline. We gotta check a couple more boxes
- 33:06Speaker 6: and once we do, trust me, boys and girls are
- 33:09Speaker 6: gonna love it. You're gonna love it up to something
- 33:13Speaker 6: right now, Big hugs, tiny kisses. Let's get into this
- 33:16Speaker 6: episode with the One the Only Christ McCaffrey, great white hope.
- 33:21Speaker 1: This postseason is upon us and there's really nothing like it.
- 33:24Speaker 1: But the postseason can be stressful, crushing losses, wild ups
- 33:27Speaker 1: as you're unhinged six game parlay falling apart at the
- 33:30Speaker 1: literal last second. Things can get rough and it can
- 33:32Speaker 1: leave you feeling a little sour, But you gotta look
- 33:35Speaker 1: on the bright side. Once your team is out and
- 33:36Speaker 1: headed off to decompress, you can finally relax. Now you
- 33:40Speaker 1: can actually enjoy the postseason without all the heart palpitations.
- 33:43Speaker 1: That's why we're partnering with Jim Beam. We want to

- 34:45Speaker 6: store near you. Special guest today on Busting with the Boys.
- 34:50Speaker 6: Man individual has been through adversity. He's done everything in
- 34:53Speaker 6: the in the league could possibly do. But more than anything,
- 34:57Speaker 6: a guy that is for the boys, more than anyone
- 34:59Speaker 6: could possibly say. After this week, there was rumors flying
- 35:03Speaker 6: around everywhere Christian McCaffrey is not gonna do Busting with
- 35:06Speaker 6: the Boys. What if he doesn't, what does that mean
- 35:08Speaker 6: for the culture? Sure enough, it was all just a rumor.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Mill rumors, rumors, it's fan talk, it's it's media talk.
- 35:16Speaker 4: It's all the speculated stuff that makes the show fun
- 35:18Speaker 4: to watch. But at the end of the day, in
- 35:20Speaker 4: the back of my head, I knew the whole time,
- 35:21Speaker 4: I'm showing up.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Yea, they could put your limited participation all week long
- 35:25Speaker 1: playing the game, which is gonna make the light of game. Yeah,
- 35:28Speaker 1: you'll do whatever it is.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Some Wednesday you might have something happened. Whatever it's it's
- 35:33Speaker 4: it's gonna might affect Thursday Friday. It's not affecting Sunday.
- 35:36Speaker 4: I'll be here with the boys in the chair.
- 35:37Speaker 6: I like to I like to picture you just laying
- 35:39Speaker 6: in your bed and just kind of scrolling and seeing
- 35:41Speaker 6: Christan McCaffrey for the Boys, question mark, a bunch of things.
- 35:44Speaker 6: People wondering. You just smaund yourself knowing small smirk. I'm
- 35:47Speaker 6: about to shock the world smirk.
- 35:48Speaker 1: People forget that CMC was like an OG without being
- 35:56Speaker 1: an OG to us, Like he bought the merch on
- 35:59Speaker 1: his own. Yes, because Ionidis was his teammate in Carolina,
- 36:02Speaker 1: and I remember there. I think they were traveling to
- 36:04Speaker 1: a game and they were on the plane and Matt
- 36:06Speaker 1: snaps a photo. It's like CMC wanted me to send
- 36:08Speaker 1: the scene. He's like rocking our hat. He was a
- 36:10Speaker 1: boy before, he was a boy before. Yeah, before the
- 36:13Speaker 1: relationship even started, right, he was a homie.
- 36:15Speaker 6: And we've gone probably what a minute and a half
- 36:17Speaker 6: into this podcast, and we have not even mentioned that
- 36:20Speaker 6: this young man wouldn't comeback player of the.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Year, Yeah, within twenty four hours ago.
- 36:27Speaker 6: Dude. Was it was that surprising to you or did
- 36:30Speaker 6: they kind of tell you before.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Now it's surprising some people will tell you, like, hey,
- 36:35Speaker 4: just be prepared in case it happens.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But uh, that way you can work on a speech.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so you can work on a speech. I I
- 36:41Speaker 4: worked on it. I didn't say I had a lot
- 36:43Speaker 4: I wanted to say, but they give you minimal time,
- 36:45Speaker 4: so I don't know. But it was, Uh, it was cool,
- 36:48Speaker 4: huge honor.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Definitely when when they're telling you to like get prepared
- 36:50Speaker 1: and you're kind of thinking of a feach, do you
- 36:52Speaker 1: have like nerves or anxiety thinking about, oh shit, I'm
- 36:54Speaker 1: gonna walk up there, like you want some maybe I
- 36:56Speaker 1: want some stuff of substance, Like do I want to
- 36:57Speaker 1: hit him with a joke? Yeah, like a little bit
- 37:00Speaker 1: of anxiety of like I'm about to go up there
- 37:02Speaker 1: in front of you.
- 37:03Speaker 4: It's it's something, it's you know, yeah. I think I
- 37:05Speaker 4: always played close to the chest with with with that,
- 37:08Speaker 4: you know, give you get your thank yous out. But
- 37:11Speaker 4: it is a cool honor too. I mean it really is.
- 37:12Speaker 4: So you know, you want to be genuine and meaningful
- 37:14Speaker 4: and I think, uh, I had a few jokes lined up,
- 37:18Speaker 4: and then I looked at some of the past winners
- 37:21Speaker 4: and they made the jokes, and I'm like, I can't
- 37:23Speaker 4: be recycling jokes every other year, you get you know
- 37:26Speaker 4: what I mean?
- 37:28Speaker 1: Now?
- 37:28Speaker 4: So I just I stayed away from the jokes.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Smart man. Yeah, focus on the wife. Shout at the family.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Shout out the wife, shout out the family. Mentioned the
- 37:37Speaker 4: daughter clip it so that she can go back when
- 37:40Speaker 4: she's older. Maybe she's got Instagram. It's my birthday she
- 37:43Speaker 4: throws that up.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you're not going to understand this now.
- 37:48Speaker 4: It wasn't for It wasn't it was. This was for
- 37:50Speaker 4: me in fifteen years. Yeah, that's what that was for.
- 37:53Speaker 6: Everyone's gonna think, how what a good dad? Incredible in
- 37:58Speaker 6: your head that to happen. Have you had a chase
- 38:01Speaker 6: like reflect on because I remember last year we were
- 38:03Speaker 6: talking about all this stuff going on. Was it public
- 38:06Speaker 6: what you had? Because I don't say anything right now
- 38:10Speaker 6: that yeah, it wasn't public.
- 38:11Speaker 4: But I kind of went yeah, I went through the ringer. Yes,
- 38:13Speaker 4: year it was sure. I had a lot going on.
- 38:16Speaker 4: I kind of get you know. I gave my trainers
- 38:18Speaker 4: a real big project and I was like, hey, look
- 38:20Speaker 4: here's what's going on. Can you get me back? And uh,
- 38:24Speaker 4: you know, had it was all day every day. You know,
- 38:27Speaker 4: when I when I think about this season, I think
- 38:29Speaker 4: mostly about January first until training camp because that felt
- 38:34Speaker 4: just so it was just just so challenging, you know,
- 38:37Speaker 4: in all ways.
- 38:38Speaker 1: So are we talking about the calf?
- 38:41Speaker 6: Yeah, yes, the injury last year, the injury last year,
- 38:44Speaker 6: all that stuff you go through. I don't know if
- 38:46Speaker 6: it's public if and he's like, yeah, that like.
- 38:50Speaker 4: There was a bunch of stuff. Yeah. I was like,
- 38:52Speaker 4: he's talking, My brain's trying to work. No, it's just
- 38:54Speaker 4: there was one thing after the other that I just
- 38:57Speaker 4: you know, had to deal with and it was one
- 38:59Speaker 4: of those things where, uh it felt like you just
- 39:02Speaker 4: couldn't catch a break. And then you know, when the
- 39:04Speaker 4: season ended, it's like, obviously people tell you to take
- 39:08Speaker 4: a break all that stuff, but I was addressing so
- 39:11Speaker 4: many things and it was like, look, you really don't
- 39:13Speaker 4: have time, like if you want to come back, like
- 39:15Speaker 4: I didn't want to miss OTAs. I wanted to come
- 39:17Speaker 4: back for OTAs, like ready to go, but I could hard.
- 39:20Speaker 4: You know, I got to the point where I could train,
- 39:22Speaker 4: like train and healthily probably like a week before OTA.
- 39:26Speaker 4: So it was rehab, rehab, rehabit. Then you go to
- 39:28Speaker 4: OTAs and you're still rehabbing, right, but you're going through
- 39:31Speaker 4: the practice and you're managing and and then camp there's
- 39:36Speaker 4: only or the summer before camp, there's only so much time.
- 39:38Speaker 4: So uh, it was a long, grueling process. But one
- 39:41Speaker 4: of the cool things I got to do with my
- 39:42Speaker 4: brother Luke, so he trained with me all all off season.
- 39:47Speaker 4: I swear that kept me going. Man, it was so
- 39:49Speaker 4: fun to train with my brother. I've gotten to play
- 39:52Speaker 4: with my other two brothers, but I haven't. I've never
- 39:55Speaker 4: played with him, and then but being able to train
- 39:58Speaker 4: with him this year was I mean, can't even tell
- 40:01Speaker 4: you how awesome it was. Just having a training partner,
- 40:04Speaker 4: somebody to push you that obviously is your brother, and
- 40:07Speaker 4: you know, some days when you're alone and you're hurting,
- 40:09Speaker 4: it's like, man, I don't know if I can make today.
- 40:11Speaker 4: And then you see him running and you're like, it's
- 40:13Speaker 4: that mental competitiveness that continued to like push me throughout
- 40:17Speaker 4: so much of these training sessions that I really think
- 40:20Speaker 4: played a big role. How old are you know, twenty nine,
- 40:23Speaker 4: twenty nine, he's old, so.
- 40:25Speaker 1: When but when these injuries, yeah, when these injuries happen,
- 40:29Speaker 1: how frustrating. Is it for you? Because when they were
- 40:31Speaker 1: kind of piling up and popping up last year, it's
- 40:34Speaker 1: almost like universally like, okay, he's getting a little bit older,
- 40:38Speaker 1: white running back is are we seeing? That's that's what
- 40:42Speaker 1: the age.
- 40:44Speaker 6: You know, what it has to do with? Come on, like,
- 40:45Speaker 6: you're not supposed to.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Be here, man, I'm not supposed to be here.
- 40:49Speaker 6: Yeah, right, yeah, you're not supposed to be here.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Yeah, And so that like goes into.
- 40:54Speaker 4: But I mean in nine years later, it's like it
- 40:56Speaker 4: can't be I'm not Yeah, but no, I know you're
- 40:58Speaker 4: right though.
- 40:59Speaker 6: People won't say the time.
- 41:02Speaker 4: You're getting older, you've had some injuries, you're white. What's contextually?
- 41:10Speaker 4: That part didn't make sense.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Especially I think I think it was number two on
- 41:15Speaker 1: my list.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Let me think of all the stuff you had to
- 41:21Speaker 4: go through last year.
- 41:22Speaker 6: Mindset. That's the exact mindset a white running back needs
- 41:25Speaker 6: to have to He doesn't realize how big of a
- 41:26Speaker 6: deal it is. All right, So a dangerous species never know.
- 41:35Speaker 4: They're danger man, like the snow leopard. What were you asked?
- 41:43Speaker 1: If she knows? I was feeling less? I'm like, oh,
- 41:44Speaker 1: the whiteness has got you up.
- 41:51Speaker 5: But the mortality of a car up to us point
- 41:56Speaker 5: to get you, it's inevitable.
- 42:02Speaker 4: Did you feel this year?
- 42:10Speaker 1: Oh god, I'm starting to swear, my guts hurting. But
- 42:14Speaker 1: this then's your question? Is your question the mortality of
- 42:18Speaker 1: like yo, this could be the beginning of the end
- 42:20Speaker 1: for Christian McCaffrey.
- 42:26Speaker 6: You know, there's a handful of black running backs are like, good, good, Yeah,
- 42:31Speaker 6: we told you, we told you this wasn't gonna.
- 42:32Speaker 4: Last forever, just waiting.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but even as a player, like no one even
- 42:36Speaker 1: from the front office of where people that brought you in, Like,
- 42:39Speaker 1: I wonder if they're thinking, my mortality is coming to
- 42:41Speaker 1: life now?
- 42:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, we can wipe the last We just still.
- 42:45Speaker 6: Thinking about Trent Williams sitting there.
- 42:46Speaker 4: But I told you all, no, yeah, I think Look,
- 42:51Speaker 4: especially when you're going through a rehab process, it really
- 42:55Speaker 4: doesn't matter if it's you're in year nine or in
- 42:58Speaker 4: year four. Like I had similar thought, you know when
- 43:00Speaker 4: I was because I had a tough injury year in
- 43:02Speaker 4: Carolina a couple a year and a half really and
- 43:06Speaker 4: all those same thoughts come back, you know, whether you're
- 43:08Speaker 4: older or not. And so I think part or whiter,
- 43:12Speaker 4: you know.
- 43:13Speaker 1: You know.
- 43:17Speaker 4: Now, I always felt like, uh if I could just
- 43:21Speaker 4: show up every day and see what happens. And I
- 43:24Speaker 4: think being having to go through that stuff beforehand definitely
- 43:29Speaker 4: taught me a lot because it showed me that it
- 43:31Speaker 4: is possible, and that all the noise you'll have to
- 43:33Speaker 4: listen to and those thoughts in your head, those don't
- 43:36Speaker 4: have to be true. And so I tried to just
- 43:39Speaker 4: as as much as possible, even if even though it
- 43:42Speaker 4: was so difficult, I tried to just lock in and
- 43:44Speaker 4: show up every day and train my ass off and
- 43:46Speaker 4: rehab as hard as I could and just see what
- 43:48Speaker 4: would happen. I think, I think that's the only way
- 43:52Speaker 4: to do it. It's the only way to be sustainable
- 43:54Speaker 4: mentally and emotionally through the off season. Otherwise you're just
- 43:57Speaker 4: gonna ride this roller coaster of emotions where you're listening
- 44:01Speaker 4: to everything and you know, even yourself, Yeah, there's doubts,
- 44:05Speaker 4: you know, there's doubts. There's a lot of uncertainty, like
- 44:07Speaker 4: am I even gonna be healthy for this next like
- 44:10Speaker 4: you know, there's all those things come into play, But
- 44:13Speaker 4: you just show up every day, man, and eventually you
- 44:16Speaker 4: start to feel good, and you're like, Okay, I'm back,
- 44:18Speaker 4: I can do this.
- 44:18Speaker 6: When did it start to click during the off season
- 44:20Speaker 6: You're like, Okay, I'm gonna be that mindset of Okay,
- 44:22Speaker 6: I'm back, I can do this.
- 44:24Speaker 4: I think in the summer when I was training, like
- 44:26Speaker 4: after OTAs, there's just one day where you're running routes
- 44:29Speaker 4: and you're like, all right, I feel like me again. Yeah,
- 44:32Speaker 4: I feel like me again. Like, don't get me wrong, Like,
- 44:34Speaker 4: would I rather a full off season? Yeah, Like again,
- 44:37Speaker 4: there's only so much time to train. So I'm excited
- 44:39Speaker 4: I came out healthy this year because now I can
- 44:42Speaker 4: you know, I'm gonna be months ahead of where I
- 44:44Speaker 4: was last year, and if I do it right, I
- 44:46Speaker 4: think there can be massive advantages to that. So you know,
- 44:50Speaker 4: I'm excited ending this season. Hurt and having to go
- 44:54Speaker 4: through all that stuff is uh, you know, it just prolongs,
- 44:59Speaker 4: you know, getting to your peak. You know That's why
- 45:01Speaker 4: I felt like this year, I I tough threw a lot,
- 45:04Speaker 4: but now that I'm healthy, I'm excited for the offseason.
- 45:07Speaker 6: I was surprised, are you that you were healthy? Because
- 45:10Speaker 6: literally no one on your team was healthy at one
- 45:13Speaker 6: point and it was like, all right, give Christian the
- 45:15Speaker 6: ball in fifty different ways for this game, like the
- 45:18Speaker 6: Rams game or was it Rams Seattle that you just
- 45:21Speaker 6: had like fifty Fantasy points were sitting there streaming the game.
- 45:23Speaker 6: It was a Thursday night game, and everyone's hurt. I
- 45:26Speaker 6: think Kittle had a groin at that point. I think
- 45:28Speaker 6: Trent was out. Fred Warner just got hurt. Nick was out,
- 45:31Speaker 6: like every like casual fan who can name a player
- 45:35Speaker 6: on the forty nine ers was essentially hurt and done
- 45:37Speaker 6: for the season. And it was just you and you
- 45:39Speaker 6: just became the bell cow for the entire year.
- 45:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I think that again, I think that's
- 45:46Speaker 4: some of the stuff you read, but I don't. I
- 45:48Speaker 4: never saw it as it was just me at all.
- 45:50Speaker 4: You know, like Mac Jones bald his ass off. We
- 45:52Speaker 4: had we had backups come in here, you know, off
- 45:54Speaker 4: the street, guys like Kendrick Bourne had one hundred and
- 45:57Speaker 4: eighty four yards in that Thursday night game like that.
- 45:59Speaker 4: That's it's not like, you know, you're not alone, right,
- 46:03Speaker 4: some guy just had one hundred and eighty four yards.
- 46:06Speaker 4: The Marcus Robinson's out there balling and he missed the
- 46:08Speaker 4: first three weeks and he comes like all of these
- 46:11Speaker 4: got Juwan Jennings is out there like you're not You're
- 46:14Speaker 4: never alone, you know, I know, like there's there's your
- 46:16Speaker 4: you know, the big guys and the big names that
- 46:18Speaker 4: you think that you think of when you think of starting,
- 46:21Speaker 4: you know, starters in the NFL. But I think that
- 46:24Speaker 4: was one of the coolest parts about this team this
- 46:26Speaker 4: year was how unbelievable the depth was and the rookies.
- 46:30Speaker 4: We had guys come in who made serious noise that
- 46:34Speaker 4: have never played in meaningful games. And you could see
- 46:36Speaker 4: the standard that the guys like George, the guys like Fred,
- 46:40Speaker 4: you know, the guys like Brock and all these guys
- 46:43Speaker 4: have set for so long. You could see it trickle
- 46:46Speaker 4: down into the you know, the younger guys and the
- 46:48Speaker 4: second string guys to where you know, you can't replace
- 46:50Speaker 4: guys like that. You know, it's a team effort to
- 46:52Speaker 4: replace guys like that when they get hurt. But that's
- 46:55Speaker 4: why it was so fun to be a part of.
- 46:56Speaker 4: You know, I never felt like, oh man, that wasn't
- 46:59Speaker 4: the case for me, because I watch the tape and
- 47:00Speaker 4: I could see you got guys out here balling, you
- 47:03Speaker 4: know and selling out so that was made it fun.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Wasn't and wild to just all the injuries that were
- 47:08Speaker 1: taking places. Like at the end of the year, you
- 47:09Speaker 1: guys bring in Eric Hendricks, who guys were playing a
- 47:11Speaker 1: few snaps, to where he's basically starting the entire games,
- 47:14Speaker 1: either the last game of the season or the playoff game.
- 47:16Speaker 1: It was nuts to kind of see because you guys
- 47:18Speaker 1: were like the team. The NFC West was the best
- 47:21Speaker 1: division in football this year. You guys, would you guys
- 47:24Speaker 1: record end up at the end of the regular season twelve? Yeah,
- 47:28Speaker 1: twelve and five. But just knowing that you guys were
- 47:31Speaker 1: always the team that's like they're not talked about or
- 47:34Speaker 1: at some point it's going to catch up to him
- 47:36Speaker 1: because they're winning games. But you weren't talked about like Seattle.
- 47:38Speaker 1: You weren't talked about like the Rams. All these other
- 47:40Speaker 1: teams were playing well or playing at a high level.
- 47:43Speaker 1: What was it like just kind of each week it
- 47:46Speaker 1: felt like a different team was on the field.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Yeah, again, I think that was the coolest part because
- 47:53Speaker 4: it's not like we didn't know all that noise was
- 47:55Speaker 4: going on, right, I mean, I think and we had
- 47:57Speaker 4: a lot of young guys too, and so that can
- 47:59Speaker 4: be tough as a young player coming in having to
- 48:01Speaker 4: hear all that for the first time in your career
- 48:03Speaker 4: and block it out and just ball and show up
- 48:06Speaker 4: to work every day in practice. And they really did that. Man.
- 48:09Speaker 4: I've found so much inspiration from a lot of our
- 48:11Speaker 4: backups and younger guys this year, more than I'd say
- 48:13Speaker 4: I ever have, because normally you guys have been a
- 48:16Speaker 4: part of teams you lose all those guys like it's
- 48:19Speaker 4: easy to hang and hang it up and be like,
- 48:21Speaker 4: you know, maybe I can have some good individual stats
- 48:24Speaker 4: or whatever and see what happens and next you know,
- 48:27Speaker 4: that was never the case.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Man.
- 48:29Speaker 4: I think that's a huge testament too, to the staff
- 48:31Speaker 4: and getting guys right all the position coaches. Kyle's unbelievable
- 48:34Speaker 4: in on my opinion, he's the coach of the year
- 48:37Speaker 4: and what he did with our team this year, not
- 48:40Speaker 4: just not just you know, the scheme and all that stuff,
- 48:44Speaker 4: but the way he gets these guys to play from
- 48:46Speaker 4: day one. There's a very high standard. And you know,
- 48:49Speaker 4: again obviously didn't end the way we wanted, but it
- 48:51Speaker 4: was a team I'll always remember.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Yeah, So you don't think Rape should have won Coach
- 48:54Speaker 1: of the Year.
- 48:55Speaker 4: No, I think he's equally deservant, But I are that.
- 49:00Speaker 4: I think, you know, when you look at I just
- 49:02Speaker 4: Kyle's my guide. I mean, that's that's somebody you know,
- 49:05Speaker 4: obviously traded for me, believes in me, gives me the rock.
- 49:08Speaker 4: I think he's the best football mind I've ever been
- 49:10Speaker 4: a part or been around. But I also think when
- 49:14Speaker 4: you look at the adversity that our team had to
- 49:17Speaker 4: face this year, and there's a lot of coaches that
- 49:22Speaker 4: I don't know if they win twelve games and go
- 49:24Speaker 4: to the playoffs and win a playoff game and have
- 49:26Speaker 4: you know, serious shot at a run, so with a
- 49:29Speaker 4: week fourteen by you know, all that stuff, all that
- 49:31Speaker 4: stuff is it's not nothing, right, It's not everything, but
- 49:34Speaker 4: it's not nothing in ut he just did a help.
- 49:37Speaker 4: He did a hell of a job with all that stuff.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Yeah, did it is.
- 49:40Speaker 6: It's a phenomenal argument for Shanahan to win it because
- 49:44Speaker 6: when you're losing this talent on the field, you'ren't just
- 49:46Speaker 6: losing that, but you're losing like the leadership in those
- 49:48Speaker 6: meetia rooms as well. And for Shannahan to have like
- 49:50Speaker 6: to scheme up these plays with these guys like rookies
- 49:52Speaker 6: and guys who people don't really know very much, like
- 49:55Speaker 6: scheming them open. Mac Jones comes in. He was at
- 49:57Speaker 6: the Patriots don't really believed in him. He was kind
- 49:59Speaker 6: of like in that, you know, we'll see how the
- 50:01Speaker 6: forty nine ers are dead. And then he balls out
- 50:03Speaker 6: to the point where he's at the press conference and
- 50:05Speaker 6: people are saying, hey, when rock Perty comes back, do
- 50:07Speaker 6: you think you should be the starter? Basically, and he
- 50:09Speaker 6: handles that incredibly. It just seems like every year that
- 50:12Speaker 6: goes by, even though you guys still have the cell
- 50:14Speaker 6: phone tower and you guys get injured all the time,
- 50:16Speaker 6: you guys just are a rock as far as the
- 50:18Speaker 6: locker room goes, like everybody that goes in there like
- 50:21Speaker 6: they like the forty nine ers don't become the player.
- 50:23Speaker 6: The player becomes the forty nine ers, Like the culture
- 50:25Speaker 6: stands no matter what who's on the field, which is
- 50:28Speaker 6: just badass.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's well said, how's the dynamic?
- 50:32Speaker 1: How is the dynamic being around? When Max's bonne like
- 50:35Speaker 1: that team's having fun. You know, everything's all good inside
- 50:37Speaker 1: the locker room, but seeing it unfold, Mack had an
- 50:40Speaker 1: unbelievable answer when somebody asked him directly about it on handling,
- 50:43Speaker 1: whether his role with the team and everything else. But
- 50:46Speaker 1: from your vantage point, how was that dynamic being around
- 50:48Speaker 1: it when the noise was at its loudest.
- 50:51Speaker 4: Uh, it was as good as you could imagine, like
- 50:54Speaker 4: legitimate love for each other, legitimate love for football, respect
- 50:59Speaker 4: between in the entire room, and you know, as far
- 51:03Speaker 4: as outside of the quarterback room. You know, I think
- 51:07Speaker 4: it was just this this great understanding that dude, I
- 51:10Speaker 4: don't care who's in the game, what game, or who
- 51:13Speaker 4: we're playing. We all have our own individual jobs to do,
- 51:17Speaker 4: and just it was a good obsession over our individual jobs.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Whoever's at quarterback macrobrock be in the right spot so
- 51:23Speaker 4: he can hit you, you know what I mean, like
- 51:25Speaker 4: don't don't again. It was just the blocking out of
- 51:27Speaker 4: the noise that I think was a sign of a
- 51:29Speaker 4: good culture and a mature team.
- 51:32Speaker 6: With all the injuries that took place, the one that
- 51:35Speaker 6: looked like was like the most devastating to the boys
- 51:37Speaker 6: was George Kittle and the achilles and everything like that.
- 51:40Speaker 6: What was like, we've all been on the field. When
- 51:42Speaker 6: guys get hurt, there's like a serious injury that takes place,
- 51:45Speaker 6: and there's kind of like a moment of pause, like
- 51:46Speaker 6: three four plays go by, and everyone's like kind of
- 51:49Speaker 6: looking behind their shoulder a little bit, making sure they're good.
- 51:51Speaker 6: But with George, just because he loves football so much
- 51:54Speaker 6: in like such a pure way, it feel like it
- 51:56Speaker 6: felt like way different than anybody than anybody else as
- 51:59Speaker 6: far as his leadership, the way he is a leader
- 52:03Speaker 6: on the team and plays and all that.
- 52:07Speaker 1: When you when you put Georgia, yeah, I don't know,
- 52:12Speaker 1: I don't There wasn't one that was more devastating than
- 52:16Speaker 1: the other.
- 52:16Speaker 4: And we lost Bosa pretty early. We lost George week one. Uh,
- 52:20Speaker 4: we lost Brock after week one, and and then we
- 52:24Speaker 4: lost Fred I think three weeks later lost Bosa. I don't,
- 52:28Speaker 4: I forget what week early. Ricky dealt with some struggles.
- 52:33Speaker 4: There wasn't one more devastating than the other, you know, anytime,
- 52:37Speaker 4: And I think it's because we've all been through it before.
- 52:39Speaker 4: When when you can't play, man, it's it's grueling, you know,
- 52:42Speaker 4: it's it sucks. It really does happen. To watch your
- 52:45Speaker 4: team play football is a pretty miserable experience, especially when
- 52:49Speaker 4: you love football as much as all those guys I
- 52:51Speaker 4: just mentioned to and I've been there. Man, it's it sucks.
- 52:53Speaker 4: You don't feel like you're a part of the team.
- 52:56Speaker 4: You kind of just feel like an outsider watching. And uh,
- 52:59Speaker 4: it was so cool to see the leadership from George
- 53:03Speaker 4: when he wasn't playing, the leadership from Fredman wasn't playing.
- 53:05Speaker 4: How they were still active in the locker room, still
- 53:07Speaker 4: active in meetings, still had so much hope there. You know,
- 53:12Speaker 4: all the feeling of the outside of like, oh, I'm
- 53:14Speaker 4: so sorry, Like nobody felt like that.
- 53:16Speaker 6: You know.
- 53:17Speaker 4: You you talk to George about his injuries, and you know, oh,
- 53:20Speaker 4: I'm fine, I'll be just fine. You know, he's as
- 53:23Speaker 4: upbeat as anybody. I'll be just I'll be back and
- 53:25Speaker 4: sit whatever it is, six weeks, I'll be fine, be
- 53:27Speaker 4: ready to go, even his achilles stuff, Yeah, I'll be
- 53:30Speaker 4: ready week one. Yeah, he's like dialed in and happy
- 53:34Speaker 4: and you're like, oh, and now we have hope. But
- 53:36Speaker 4: I think if you if you have leaders like that
- 53:38Speaker 4: and they do it the other way where it's depressing
- 53:41Speaker 4: and it's a you know, even that mentality, as hard
- 53:44Speaker 4: as it probably is for them to put a smile
- 53:46Speaker 4: on in a lot of moments. They do it, and
- 53:47Speaker 4: I think they do it so that we don't see
- 53:50Speaker 4: how sad they are and we continue to have hope that, hey,
- 53:52Speaker 4: we can still do this. And there's you know, Fred's
- 53:55Speaker 4: coaching up the other guys, Bosa's helping Mike Kel out.
- 53:58Speaker 4: Then we lose Mike kel which was a huge, huge shot,
- 54:01Speaker 4: but that room is still playing hard. So it's you know,
- 54:04Speaker 4: as much as it sucked, it was a great reminder
- 54:07Speaker 4: for me of the fundamentals of football. Will always win
- 54:11Speaker 4: games and that's a good culture, you know, blocking and tackling,
- 54:14Speaker 4: playing as hard as you can and practicing as hard
- 54:17Speaker 4: as you can and selling out.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Yeah, George said, his wife's mad at us, why because
- 54:22Speaker 1: we did the whole Well, would you do anything for
- 54:26Speaker 1: We're talking about super Bowl? And I was like, would
- 54:28Speaker 1: you go on IR and like week last week of
- 54:30Speaker 1: the season if it meant the Teak win the super Bowl?
- 54:33Speaker 1: And he was like yes, And I'm like, I don't
- 54:35Speaker 1: know why she's mad at me. The football guys obviously
- 54:37Speaker 1: didn't deliver. Yeah, they're out of the bargain, but he
- 54:41Speaker 1: should be a clip. I'm like, I was like, I
- 54:43Speaker 1: just put left out loud what I what I do,
- 54:44Speaker 1: and he sent the clip. He's like, yeah, you guys
- 54:46Speaker 1: are on her ship list. Like that's fair. But if
- 54:50Speaker 1: I could pass the blame, I put that on the
- 54:51Speaker 1: football gods.
- 54:52Speaker 6: Yeah, we plus shouldn't have asked the question. I think
- 54:54Speaker 6: we could. That's where we could kind.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Of fall back. Would you would you take a season ending?
- 54:58Speaker 4: No, it's a bad question.
- 55:00Speaker 6: It's a bad question. Yeah, Yeah, we're not gonna We're
- 55:03Speaker 6: not gonna ask that. We're not gonna ask that question.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Don't blame the gods. That's on us.
- 55:09Speaker 6: That's on us, And we'll take full responsibility for George
- 55:12Speaker 6: Kittle's injury this year.
- 55:14Speaker 1: God Claire, we are sorry. We are we are sorry.
- 55:18Speaker 1: That's so, what was your first Welcome to the NFL?

- 56:20Speaker 6: the episode.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Hey, let's let's let's just let's just ask power station.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Let's let's let's pretend the cameras are off. Let's be
- 56:30Speaker 1: in the locker room, game me up.
- 56:33Speaker 4: On the EMA where it's like son, once you start,
- 56:35Speaker 4: there's no going back.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Yeah, because you've been in the locker rooms, we all
- 56:41Speaker 1: know whether whatever whatever. When you find anything that can
- 56:46Speaker 1: allow you to be one percent better, any edge, anything
- 56:49Speaker 1: that can bring you down, anything you want it out of,
- 56:51Speaker 1: out of your life. So as this stuff is blowing up,
- 56:54Speaker 1: I'm like, surely there's got to be something to this,
- 56:58Speaker 1: and there's just no way knowing the rabbit hole that
- 57:00Speaker 1: we go down in the off season to eliminate. You know,
- 57:02Speaker 1: you're getting the jokes. So you turn off the Wi Fi?
- 57:04Speaker 1: Are you going? I guess cut the router, cut the wires,
- 57:07Speaker 1: or you don't want any any Wi Fi around you?
- 57:09Speaker 1: Why you sleep, which, by the.
- 57:10Speaker 6: Way, is a heady play. That's a heady play.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Where the necklace.
- 57:13Speaker 4: I don't want to be.
- 57:16Speaker 6: Yes, But if it's becoming news to the public, you know,
- 57:19Speaker 6: the boys are in the locker room like sitting there
- 57:21Speaker 6: being like, hey, I thought I felt my Hams drinking
- 57:24Speaker 6: a little tighter when I signed here last year.
- 57:26Speaker 1: The minute they get off the practice field, there might
- 57:27Speaker 1: be grounding mats all over the locker room. They're like,
- 57:29Speaker 1: all right, get on this immediate, have to need to
- 57:32Speaker 1: But knowing, like understanding that that that that game within
- 57:36Speaker 1: the game within the game from a player side, like
- 57:38Speaker 1: what are the thoughts in the power station?
- 57:42Speaker 4: Here's the deal. There's too many variables to say that
- 57:45Speaker 4: like this power station is what's causing an injury. There's
- 57:49Speaker 4: too many variables. Listen at the same way as you know,
- 57:55Speaker 4: not drinking water is bad for you, right, so you're
- 57:57Speaker 4: gonna drink water. But when we we have our phones
- 58:00Speaker 4: attached to us all the time, right, that's also bad
- 58:03Speaker 4: for you? Do people?
- 58:04Speaker 1: You know?
- 58:04Speaker 4: Is that? Is that? What it is? Is? It? Is it?
- 58:06Speaker 4: Maybe you didn't get enough sleep, maybe you took a
- 58:08Speaker 4: wrong hit. Now you're compensating. You didn't feel it, but
- 58:11Speaker 4: now you're Fred got rolled up on. It's it's not
- 58:13Speaker 4: like a you know, what are you gonna do? That's
- 58:16Speaker 4: that's just that's brutal. There's and in my opinion, right
- 58:20Speaker 4: like I look at everything as something like the lights
- 58:24Speaker 4: in this room, that light right there, is that dehydrating
- 58:26Speaker 4: in a weird way.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 58:28Speaker 4: I don't know, but maybe it is. And so for me, I,
- 58:31Speaker 4: like you mentioned I turned the Wi Fi off. I
- 58:33Speaker 4: don't always do that. I mentioned it to Fred a
- 58:35Speaker 4: couple of times and he went out and telling the
- 58:37Speaker 4: world that I've turned my Wi Fi off?
- 58:39Speaker 1: And then what turn the Wi Fi off? Like just
- 58:41Speaker 1: turn it off on your phone. Are you going to
- 58:45Speaker 1: the shutting it down?
- 58:46Speaker 4: Here's again, I'm not a doctor, not a scientist. I
- 58:50Speaker 4: I've done the same amount of research as probably anybody else,
- 58:53Speaker 4: and I have yet to come to any solid conclusions
- 58:57Speaker 4: worth publicizing on a podcast.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 59:01Speaker 4: So, so that's where I'm at.
- 59:03Speaker 1: But you're on bus and so there's a lot.
- 59:05Speaker 4: Let me tell you this right now. Like if I
- 59:07Speaker 4: if I wasn't on the Niners and someone was like, hey, dude,
- 59:10Speaker 4: knowing all this, do you want to go play for
- 59:11Speaker 4: the Niners? I would jump to go play for the Niners. Yes,
- 59:14Speaker 4: this is this And and that's where it's frustrating for
- 59:16Speaker 4: us because we're like, dude, like I read something. It's
- 59:18Speaker 4: like free agents are or is this something free agents
- 59:21Speaker 4: should consider before signing the Niners. I'm like, no, that's
- 59:25Speaker 4: to shut the hell up about the power station. Like
- 59:28Speaker 4: we want to get good guys to come in. There's
- 59:30Speaker 4: nothing you know, you know, Fred trains are all ye around,
- 59:32Speaker 4: He's been healthy seven years. Guys train there all year again,
- 59:36Speaker 4: people forget guys go off into their own states in
- 59:40Speaker 4: the offseason and do their own training, and there's and
- 59:43Speaker 4: you know, you're not with the team all the time.
- 59:45Speaker 4: What what happened in practice? That's something happen you get
- 59:47Speaker 4: rolled up on a little bit in practice, Like is
- 59:49Speaker 4: it I look at it as we had a really
- 59:52Speaker 4: shitty year when it comes to injuries. Some years are
- 59:56Speaker 4: like that for a lot of teams, you know. And
- 59:59Speaker 4: to say that it's caused by one thing, I think
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: is too broad of a statement.
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: I hate I agree with that that part right there,
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: that way, because there's do you have an airstack?
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I had it.
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: I had it on the top of something else.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: He said, I got something.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: I got a case on my phone. Yeah, block regular
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: phone case, just a couple of some stuff underneath case.
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: Hey, I don't disagree with you that like one thing
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: cannot It's.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: Never one thing. It's never one And I think as
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: somebody who's gone through injuries, you can drive yourself mad
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: trying to figure out you know, yeah, hey, I need
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: to do this differently. It's like you better be right
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: about your assumption. Otherwise you're going to change a lot
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: of stuff that you really didn't need to change. You know,
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: what if you just got unlucky?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: What if you know?
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: And that's where it's that's where it's so difficult, and
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: I think that's the biggest challenge for us is knowing
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: what to do and when to do it and kind
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: of trusting that process throughout an offseason.
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: And dude, when you start to go through the like
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: the biohacking world and just like finding out more and
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: more about health, Like being in high school, you didn't
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: because your dad, but us to be like yo, KFC,
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: like that's chicken, that's protein. You'd eat that. And then
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: you like get into level like, oh, by the way,
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: do you guys know fried chickens bad for you? And
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: then you kind of like like, hen't.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Stop beating white bread, but bread and enrich bleached flour. Oh,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I got to look and see if it's enriched.
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: Right, then you start literally like gluten and all these
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: all these different things. So there's layer after layer after layer,
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: and so yeah, when you get injured, that's when the
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: brain and like the conspiracy theory brain of yours, are
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: always trying to get better. What's enough? And it's to me,
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: it's like if I could take out every bad variable,
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: I absolutely would, But then everything the phone, the cell
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: phone tower, you know, the sheets, it's it's it one
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: hundred percent cotton. No, it's a tribelend and that means
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: there's this in there and you.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: Just it's everything, dude, everything you've done your research, oh, dude,
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: just stuff.
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: Yeah, because we we like that. That was kind of
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: like one of the foundations pieces of our friendship. It's
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: like when we start talking about podcasts being rog blah
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: blahlah blah. Hey Ben, do you know about Ben Greenfield?
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: Yeah? I do.
- 1:02:06Speaker 6: So we start doing account of bill of buddy stuff
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: where it's like we're doing HGH like protocols from sauna
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: and cold tub, and then you start to learn about water,
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: like generally water is good for you, but by the way,
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: microplastics and all this, you have to get a filter.
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: But then there's cankin water, all these things.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Hey, if we're gonna be in a hotel room during
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: training camp, the entire hotel room set up, you get
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: the red light, you got a cooling pad, you got
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: you're doing all this.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: I let you have crystals in my bedroom.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Yeah, BLOCKYMF and.
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: I know you do too.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: We're going to you. Yeah, But that's what I mean.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: Like, it's because I feel like sometimes when we start
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: talking about health and wellness, you know, you get the
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: you get the comments like these guys are eaighty, these
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: guys went to college like these this guy went to Stanford.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: He turns if he's an eighty. I'm like, hey, body,
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: is our job like being healthy one hundred percent of
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: the time? Is our job? That's what you do for
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: a living, Like you'll you'll look at anything and everything,
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: and so in that, That's where I've gotten to the
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: point of is this electrical substation like such a big deal?
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: I'm like, again, knowing what I know, there is too
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: many variables that happen for you to say, yeah, this
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: is this is a major whatever. So but now I mean,
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: I would.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Say too, and I'll just speak I'm speaking for myself.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: There is a lot of variables. But as that thing
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: potentially being a variable, there is, like you know, I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: would say, from my own player's perspective, there's an appreciation
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: that some of it is like getting some traction to
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: at least allow people to talk about, think about it,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: dive into it, to learn a little bit more on
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: you know, that being the case, because when people are
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: telling me it's like, oh yeah, you know, we'll be
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: sitting there talking with Delaney and I'm like, is it true.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: I won't even look at you so that way you
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: don't feel like you're part of it. And I'm like,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: is it true that this power station, all the trees
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: and planes and stuff are like dead compare to the
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: other side. He's like, oh yeah, oh yeah. And I'm like,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: that's You're just happy that it's a conversation being talked
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: about on behalf of the players Christians out here, right,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: he's not here.
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: If you're the ownership of the forty nine ers and
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: your goal is to hoist a Lombardi trophy, hoisted Lombardi trophy,
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: it's like, we need to do everything we possibly can
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: to make sure our players are around every single Sunday
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: in the fall. And if this is contributing negatively to this,
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: then we should probably look at maybe relocating, not San
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: Francisco relocation, but just like, let's move a couple of
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: blocks away, right right, that's it. You want to bring
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: them back in?
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Yeah, so you'd love to come back in. You'd allow me? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: if you want to be I was more like a
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: because this is I think it's it's it's a twofold, right,
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: Like guys live in apartment buildings. Well that's flooded with
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: Wi Fi and five G. Even if you turn yours
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: off in your room, you still have all these other places.
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: Right, So it's again like game, that's if we're if
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: we're if we're he's right, if I'm literally if we're
- 1:04:43Speaker 9: going into this and that is you know, and so
- 1:04:46Speaker 9: where I where I like to do my research now
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: is being around you know, all of these things that
- 1:04:53Speaker 9: US three don't know about, being around all the all
- 1:04:56Speaker 9: the non scene energy, the five G.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: They that's inevitable. If you live in a city, you're
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: around it. If you have your phone on you at
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: all times and you're looking at the screen, you're around
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: it all the time. You watch TV, you're it's all
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: the time. How can you combat it? Is more the
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: question like, okay, if you let's just say that it
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: is something, well, what does it do and why does
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: it cause it? It's like maybe it you know, it
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: might pull electro I'm making stuff up. I'm just talking
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: because I'm an idiot and I don't know anything. But
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: maybe it's pulling electrons from you, from your cells, which
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: are big in hydration. It's why grounding is important. You're
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: charging the electrons which allow you to hold water, hold electrolytes.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: It's all in the language. Electromagnetic field, electro lights, magnetic field,
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: magnesium a great mineral, helps with muscle recovery, helps with
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: water retention, all these things. Right if you if that's
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: what it's doing, and it's maybe you need to up
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: your electrolyte and take and that's it. Maybe that's what
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: it is, right, So it's and that's where it's like, Okay,
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: is it a huge factor?
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Not?
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: If you hydrate properly, Okay, well, then hydrate operate. It's
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: something that simple. So I think sometimes we get you know,
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: the we come up with these massive conclusions that that
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: really go back to uh, the simplest things when it
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: comes to health and wellness. And you mentioned the challenge
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: of how many things out there there are. You listen
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: to a podcast, it tells you one thing. You listen
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: to another, it tells you another. You read stuff, Well,
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: now it's saying it's not true, the food pyramid, all
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: these things. It's it's we're evolving every single day. So
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: for someone to say I have the answers like i'd like,
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: you know, there's a lot of people saying they have
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: the answers, who do you listen to? And again that's
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: the challenge. And so I think understanding physics, understanding biomechanics, biochemistry,
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: understanding that stuff will help you yourself because now you
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: know what things do. So I don't know, I mean
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: I and I'm again I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: I'm spewing nothing.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. The haters are there swinging at
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: air watching you just cook right there.
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: Yea, no, no, no.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: Popping up again. I don't know anything. I'm not a
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: scientist and I don't know anything. I'm just saying this
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: is all hypothetical.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Yeah. And if I'm a young player when we were
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: as all of us young players, and you gravitor, gravitate
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: towards veterans or guys who have success in the league,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: and you're like, I need a mimic like one of
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: mine was, like Ryan Kerrigan. He was one of the
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: cleanest guys out there as far as work, ethic, eating
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: and everything else. And you're kind of watching his habits.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: If I'm sitting there as a young cat on the
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Peace squad or my rookie year, and I'm hearing Ryan
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: on a podcast talking about. Yeah, it's to the point
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: if you're staying in an apartment or a hotel and
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I'm sitting there living in an apartment or a hotel,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I'm thinking I got to get my ass out of.
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: It, get out here as fast a yes, or or
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: or again, because cause that's it's you know, I can't
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: go live in and you know, close to the equator
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: where the sun is at its purest form because it
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: has less layers of atmosphere to run through. I can't
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: go live there. I live. I live in the US,
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: so so what can It's not about like you got
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: to get out of the hotel. Hey, if you're in
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: a hotel again, like in the morning, get outside a
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: little bit, go get your feet and some ground, and
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: and look at this song whatever you got. I mean, listen, don't.
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: I don't do that every day either. I mean I
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: do get out in the sun first thing in the morning.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: I like the way I feel when I do it.
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: I do my hot tub, my cold tub, all the
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: pool stuff whatever. I like being outside first thing in
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: the morning. But I'm not, like, you know, I need
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: to get away from all again, It's inevitable, it's part
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: of our life. So it's just it's more about how
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: you can manage those things more than anything.
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: Yeah, two things are important. Educate yourself as much as
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: you want on these things, because like everybody wants to
- 1:08:26Speaker 6: be healthier, whether they do it or not as relevant,
- 1:08:28Speaker 6: but people in general like, hey, do you want to
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: be healthy? They would say, yeah, I want to be healthy.
- 1:08:32Speaker 6: And the next thing is is like, once you have
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: the information, do as much as as you want. But
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: at some point it's gonna be like you've got to
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: live your life as well.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: At some point you got to order that pizza at midnight.
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly. Ice cream.
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: I think the biggest effect on athletes in today's day
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: and they just stress. And I think the more you
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: can manage that stress, which means sometimes snag that pizza,
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: snag if that's gonna give you, Like, I mean, there's
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: a middle ground, don't get me wrong, But I every
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: time I've been so neurotic about every little thing all
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: the time, you can never really enjoy the whole reason
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: and why you're here, you know what I mean. And
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: and so that's why it's uh when you're give a
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: long answer about the substation. But that's why I don't
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: I'm not. I hate when people make it as if
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: like this substation is the biggest deal on the Planet's like, hey, man,
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: just drink a little bit more water if you think
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: it's a big deal with electrolytes in it, and you know,
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: try not to be as on your phone as much.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Next the conversations. For me, it's over like and also
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: and also like you see guys coming all the time.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: We had a lot of injuries, also had a lot
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: of guys healthy who played a lot of snaps and
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: didn't have anything wrong with them the whole year. What
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: about them? Why didn't why didn't affect them? That's like,
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: that's a genuine question that needs an answer. So that's
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: why I was like, you know what, man, I don't know.
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: You know, it sounds like it sounds like Christians had
- 1:09:53Speaker 6: a long week on radio rail.
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: This is bad.
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: It sounds like it sounds like it sounds like people
- 1:10:05Speaker 6: have really been just like only asking you about this.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: We can edit this and post and just can we
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: redo the question?
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: But yay, you're you're right, Like, if it's an issue,
- 1:10:17Speaker 6: do something that you think would negate that, like level
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: out the issue, move on onward onward, man, that's it.
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: How does Christian McCaffrey relieve stress talk about the pizza?
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: We know you're a mint chocolate chip guy. If you're
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: like man, I had a long suit.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: I like cookies and cream better than mint chocolate chip.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: I thought you said, but I also do like mint
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: chocolate chip, and you didn't like mint chocolate chip.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Taylor combated that with, like, he just likes vanilla and sprinkles.
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: Vanilla, sprinkles and caramel is my favorite.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: Sprinkles is where I draw the line. Can't do it.
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: I completely deters it. First off, it's not it doesn't.
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: It's not. It's it shouldn't be a texture that goes
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: on ice cream.
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: It's sad for me to see a grown man lose
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: his childhood.
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: That never was in my childhood. Didn't like it as
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: a child.
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: Let you have ice cream in your childhood?
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Nah?
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: See I gave I gave my dad a bad rap.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: My dad, let us have ice cream? Hey again? Conversations
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: after my Dad's like, did you guys exaggerate the ship
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: out of the stores again? You can go to bed
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: at seven thirty? Were you talking about him? Like, yeah,
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: I made for a better story.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Outside the coke can in the woods.
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: That's real.
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: That was real.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Getting tackled by one.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: Arm that was real.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: But you know what this is what didn't get understood
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: contextually was we loved it. Like we were all over it,
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: Like dude, what else? You know what I mean? Like
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: I didn't want to get jersey tack on the Oh
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: my god, we're taping our pads next thing him. My
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: whole team was taping the pads. So he's like, look,
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: I'm he wouldn't have done it if we didn't love it,
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: you know what I mean. Like and obviously sometimes you're like, dude,
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: what are we doing? But again I was like, I
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: you know, he said, I'm not supposed to be here,
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Like I always felt like that, like I need to
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: do everything under the sun to be as best as
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: I can. That's how he was in his career. You know,
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: he was the same way. He's like, hey man, I
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: need he would you know again, he'd cut the little
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: things off his cleats just to kill dead weight, you know,
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: and wear the kicker pads to make them that much faster.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: Like that's how he thought, and that's how he played,
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: and and you know, helped win three super Bowl and
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: do all these things, and I'm like, man, that sounds fun.
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: I'd I'd rather do that than not. Why don't I listen?
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: And we really did own it. We're like, dude, what
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: else can we do that would help?
- 1:12:36Speaker 9: You?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Know?
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: Ed McCaffrey he hat cell phone towers. Chase every edge
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: you can, dude, every edge you possibly can.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: That's what it is. It's it's it's chasing edges. That's it.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: What else we got?
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: I'm talking weight you guys give me to talk too much.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: I'm I'm spewing right now.
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: But you're also spitting.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I think you put in a good boat food.
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: Straight probably quad espresso at this point, just going You're
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: just on caffeine today, just caffeine and a manifesting finding
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: the edges. Not on purpose though, Like again, I'm not
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: training right now. It's the week of the super Bowl.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: It's hectic radio row. I'm gonna I'm gonna. I just
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: six pm coffee yesterday. That goes against all my rules,
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: but it felt good.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I feel like a guy who can hit caffeine late
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: at night. So go to sleep easy.
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I slept great.
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm a cut up. Try to cut off by nuone.
- 1:13:34Speaker 6: But you get in these situations like super Bowl week
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: and it's just like longer nights, earlier mornings. Yeah, that's
- 1:13:39Speaker 6: when I'm like, you know what, it's all out the
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: window at this point.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: What does when you are in it? What does a
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: regimented Christian McCaffrey day in the life look like for
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: you when you were on your own too? Not like it.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I'm not talking like during the week of football or
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: anything else, like when you're at your the thing that yeah,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: in the off season where you're like excited to fucking
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: get it going.
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I honestly, man, And it's it was really cool
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: last year because my trainers, I just whatever they tell
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: me to do, I do it. And it's it really
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: it's long days. So we structured it as you know,
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: you wake up, I do the you know, you uhould
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: go contrast hot cold hot cold hot cold, and then
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: I'll do some pool mobility stuff in the morning and
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: then eat digest that's important though. I don't even go
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: right to the run.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I just give myself and I'm whatever, all right,
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: What times did they start? Is there like a I
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: like sleep man, I'm not great at sleeping in, but
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: I try to sleep as long as I can. I
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: I so what time you go in to bed, though,
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: I try to go to bed like nine, nine to ten, okay,
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: on the tennis, Okay, if I were to, if I
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: were to do it right, I feel like going to
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: bed with the sun, waking up with the sun. Yeah,
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: that's a good way of life. Yeah, I feel like
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: way way of life. And uh but no, I don't
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: do that. I go nine to nine to tennis. I
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: wake up around seven to eight, go through that whole process.
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: Eat usually running at like ten thirty ish, so we'll
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: do all our field work, whatever that is. I'll come back,
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: eat again, treatment, nap, maybe come back and lift in
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: the afternoon, eat again, any treatment. Usually there's not a
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: whole lot of treatment after the lift, and then at
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: night do like a little pool pool flush workout.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Man, you don't know how big it is. I mean,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: you're you've been a cat, been at the top of
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: the game for a long time. So I feel like,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: even though it seems small, explaining all that, I feel
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: like any like young athletes or anybody that gravitates towards
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: listening to what your daily routine could be. I feel
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: like that could be like bible for them, like this
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: is how CMC doesn't.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: Yeah, well, well this is what I'll say too, because
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: and this is why I'm I'm like, I get that
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: question a lot, like how do you train? And people
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: like I want to copy how you train them? Like
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: it really is not that simple, right because I'm a
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: I'm at my own spot in my career, my own
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: spot in my journey physically, and you know, you get
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: high school kids that you might have to do something
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: completely different than late than me, and there's not like
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: a there's not a set program of training where this
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: is what you should follow from January till August. It's
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: not that easy, man, because you know there's again I
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: keep saying that it sound redundant, but there's there's too
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: many variables that go into it. What are your mechanics,
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: Like you might need mechanical changes that take two weeks
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: to fix before you even start to do this program. Right,
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: Like these drills, there's meaning and purpose behind the drills.
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: And that's why, like anything, I'm not a trainer, so
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: I need a trainer. I need somebody to watch me
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: and correct me where I'm wrong. Otherwise you're developing bad
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: habits and so that's part of training too, Like you know, oh,
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: what do you do for training? It's like, dude, if
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: you really want to know, like, spend an off season
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: with us. That's the only way to really understand, you know,
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: how I do it. But again, I I said this
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: the other day, like I've played with Hall of famers
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: first ballot who they did it completely different than me,
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: their first ballot Hall of Famers, like some clearly like
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: or they just trained differently. They still trained hard, but
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: they trained it, but they committed to a program, they
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: trusted it, and they did it. And I think that's
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: more important than me saying you should do three sets
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: of ten here force it like that's I think that
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: can be. That can be dangerous to give because yeah,
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: it can be dangerous.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Because usually evolved over time development for sure, it changes
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: all the time.
- 1:17:32Speaker 6: Yeah, listen to guys like Clay Matthews. So like Julius
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: Peppers who just kind of walk in the weight room.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: Julius Peppers store. I played with him in Carolina.
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I played against him he was in Carolina. Dude,
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: I remember him getting I remember getting a three point
- 1:17:47Speaker 6: stance like one of the first naps of the game
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: and he got a three point stance and I looked
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: at my form in his forum and I was like,
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: this is he's not fair?
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: Yeah, like that's somebody that was like the first I
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: saw when I walked in the locker room when I
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: got drafted, and I was like, I was twenty and
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: I look at Julius Peppers and I was like, all right,
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: you gotta lock in because that's crazy. But I remember
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: a couple of years later, I was like, hey, man,
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: what do you do to train in the off season.
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: It's like the first time I ever talk to him.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: He's so intimidating. He's the nicest guy ever, though, and
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: he goes and he's got like the Andre the Giant voice,
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: and he's like the off seasons for resting the muscles.
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: I was like, dude, oh my god, he didn't do shit,
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: did he. I don't know what he did. One of
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: the few combos I've had with him, God, but no,
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: that was uh yeah, that's that's how he did it.
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: And again, you know that's Julius Pepper is one of
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: the best football players of all time. I personally, if
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: I just rested my muscles, that's when that would show.
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I can't do it.
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: I mean I I I'd love to be able to
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: do that. I can't. That's just not me. So no,
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: but that that's what I mean. That's why it's like, dude,
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: I trained differently than other guys. I asked other guys
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: all the time, what do you do for training?
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: I played basketball? Damn that's sick.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they got to play different sports.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: You think these guys are worried about a substation?
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: Yeah, no, shot, No, not not one bit. I was
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: the craziest thing when dudes we like, go have fun
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: to train. I'm gonna play basketball, play basketball the beach
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: and play spike ball.
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: I run routes, I do ladders and play hoops like that.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: Sounds like the best off season.
- 1:19:31Speaker 6: Yeah, just have a good time.
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Was it then? Wasn't it Julius Peppers who told Luke
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Kickley Day's get in the Hall of Fame. God, that's
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: big time man, shout out Luke, friend of the show,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: friend of the boys, the best.
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: Yeah what do you do that in practice? All the time?
- 1:19:46Speaker 6: When he would just call out place twenty four to seven. Yeah,
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: was just see one of the guys like Max Crosby.
- 1:19:52Speaker 6: They would say, like, hey, during practice, if you want
- 1:19:53Speaker 6: to get something done, just like take him out of
- 1:19:54Speaker 6: practice for a little bit.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: This is what I'll say about Luke, and this is
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: why to me, he he's first off, he's a first
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: ballot Hall of Famer. I mean, he's probably he's classic Luke.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: I mean, I'm obviously honored. I get pissed off because
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: I'm like, that's a first ballot, not a second. But
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: that's a first ballot Hall of Famer. It's one of
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: the best football players I've ever seen. He could have
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: wrecked every practice, but he understood the need to give
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: the offenses a look. And he was the best practice
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: player I've ever been around. Like he wasn't. He would
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: do his job and on tape you'd be like, well,
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: Luke would have made that tackle, but he tagged off,
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: or he like let you finish the play like he
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: wasn't like when it was time to go, I mean,
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: he'd kill you. He'd do whatever he wanted. And I
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: think I mentioned this the other day on another show,
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: but Luke was is such a special player because people
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: talk about how smart he was, like, oh, Luke is
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: so smart. He calls out plays. He knew where the
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: play was going. But people don't give him enough credit
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: for how physically unbelievable he was. Like I would watch
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: him box, jump boxes his height and run like four
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: four like he was insane. He was an unbelievable athlete,
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: shredded all the things that you would want in a linebacker.
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: He was those two. But because he was so smart,
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: that's all people talk about. But he was an absolute
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: freak man.
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: God, yeah, you know why. He's a head up guy.
- 1:21:25Speaker 6: That's what they would be like, Oh, he's he's a
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: His brain is this superpower.
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: Got to be smart, gotta be smart. But yeah, you're right,
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: whatever the reasoning is. I think, you know, I I
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: got to see I think we all got to see it.
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: Who played with them firsthand? Like when you combine his
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: intelligence with that athletic ability you have Luke Keigley you know.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's a he's a monster. Mount Rushmore backers. Yeah.
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: How is you talk you about your daughter?
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Your kid?
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: Daughter? How is your mindset changed since like having a kid,
- 1:21:58Speaker 6: Like when you're when you're young and you're playing, like
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: the off season is yours. You go train, you hang
- 1:22:02Speaker 6: out the boys and then you end up married. Kids
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: the whole thing, especially.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: When you have a regiment that's down there around your life.
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: And now this kid's like three or four months old.
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: Whenever it is during the season, and you're like, you
- 1:22:11Speaker 6: come home and it's like, I usually do I remember it,
- 1:22:13Speaker 6: usually do this, but I have to have time. Like
- 1:22:16Speaker 6: it's very difficult having kids. When I was playing, it's like,
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: it's very difficult to find that balance. How have you
- 1:22:21Speaker 6: found that balance in the game.
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: Well, I think coming home and watching her smile at
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: you notice the world like you can't help but spend
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: thirty minutes or an hour with her. It's it's the
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: greatest gift you could ever ask. It truly is good day,
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: bad day, doesn't matter. You come home and you're like,
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: this is what life's about. You know, you're playing with
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: her and holding her, and it's such a good reminder
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: about how much bigger life is than football. But you know,
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: I honestly, I got to give a lot of credit
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: to my wife because whatever I have to do for football,
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: I do it, and she holds it down. To be
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: honest with you, you know, I uh, you know, we
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: all have a certain amount of time we can play
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: the game, and I'm like, look, I'm gonna maximize this.
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: This is what needs to get done in order for
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: me to play on Sunday, you know, And I try
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: to be proactive with it. I'm not like scheduling stuff
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: at seven pm, you know when I don't need to.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: I fight can do it earlier so that I can
- 1:23:17Speaker 4: spend some time with them at home. I will, but no,
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: she holds it down for sure. She always lets me, hey,
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: do what you need to do, like get right.
- 1:23:25Speaker 6: Yeah, it's so important having a partner that is they
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: call the position of life that you're in, how it
- 1:23:30Speaker 6: is not for long and then eventually you're going to
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: have to hag up. This isn't like I can just
- 1:23:33Speaker 6: do this forever. And for them to understand that and
- 1:23:36Speaker 6: take on, you know, eighty ninety percent during the football season.
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: Like people who have that like you and I had
- 1:23:42Speaker 6: or I had you have is it's extremely special to
- 1:23:45Speaker 6: have that and it just it just breeds success long
- 1:23:48Speaker 6: term in a marriage. I know you two have each
- 1:23:50Speaker 6: other's back.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: How's the uh? How's the Swadow game?
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: Swadow games? Not great?
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: We did we got we get the Velcrows.
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: She's done with swaddling. Okay, so she's not in the
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: swaddle anymore.
- 1:24:04Speaker 6: But now you're watching the film on you're swadowing. How
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: could you?
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: I just knew it wasn't great. I could tell it
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: wasn't great. I'll be but my wife's was in fantastic,
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: like unbelievable, And I always felt like mine was different
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: and definitely worse, but that that's good for her character,
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: Like you can't just be so perfectly. You need a
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: little bit of adversity. And that was yeah, no, yep,
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: exactly what she should be better for it?
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: What's the quality?
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: Have?
- 1:24:30Speaker 6: Go ahead.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: I was just gonna say, she sleeps through the night.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: That's that's awesome. Sleeping great, good for the wife.
- 1:24:37Speaker 6: Yeah, what's your like, your superpower quality that you have
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: as a father? Early in the game, my mine was
- 1:24:43Speaker 6: kids up late at night, wife's super tired. You need
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: someone to put that baby to sleep. I can turn
- 1:24:47Speaker 6: my brain off and just stare at a wall for
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: two hours while this kid just cries my arms and
- 1:24:51Speaker 6: that baby would eventually go to sleep.
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: That's that's underrated. One of the best parts about being
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: a dad is is or you get the nap, Like,
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: oh yeah, I'll give her the nap. I'll put her
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: down for a nap, and you're right there with you know,
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: like I get a nap like this is fantastic and quiet.
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: So it's and no because because she's asleep, no one
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: bugs you. So you're napping now in peace.
- 1:25:16Speaker 6: So the superpower is taking a nap with your kid.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good dad hack.
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know if that's my super superpower would be.
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Man, you need time to think about it. You haven't
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: had food, haven't had food.
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: Twelve espressos, twelve espressos. I'm good, though I don't have one.
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: I have one superpower. I think it's more good at
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: a lot, having perfected one quality. And I'm willing to
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: look at you guys in the face and tell you that, Yeah,
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: that's good. I'm still new y.
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Getting the rollover? Is she rolling over?
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: We crawled rolling? She loves rolling, She loves moving. She
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: likes jumping on her little you know, the little bouncy Yeah.
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: The loves jumping. Yeah, love jumping. But I'm trying to
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: get her to crawl before she wants to stand. So
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: I'm trying to get her to respect progressions. Get her
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: to crawl before she slips off.
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: Right, you know, get the right doors, reflection in the foot,
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: you want the correct angles, we get bad habits. We
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: can't have that, So we have to have a trainer.
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: That's why I'm here.
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: How are we going to be with sports? Are we
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: gonna in the words of Dave Lawan, my father, We're
- 1:26:27Speaker 6: gonna give them every opportunity to love sports?
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I think sports are the best way for
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: a kid to grow and develop and succeed in society.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Agreed. Yeah, I love that.
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: Whether you're good or not, it doesn't even matter. Yeah,
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: if you're good or not. I actually think it's good
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: if you're bad.
- 1:26:44Speaker 6: My oldest, I think I made a mistake, and I'll
- 1:26:45Speaker 6: tell you my mistake. I'll be vulnerable with.
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: You, please please.
- 1:26:48Speaker 6: I was putting them in a like gymnastics like my kids.
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: You see how tall I am. I didn't really have
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: body control until I was like about sixteen years old,
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: and that's when things start to really work out for me.
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: Before then, it's a bambye on the eye. I couldn't
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: figure out. My poor kids they have that trade as well.
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: So my oldest put her in soccer's she's asking the
- 1:27:06Speaker 6: coach if both teams can just share it the ball
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: for a little bit. I put her in you know, gymnastics,
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: the kids are this tall, she's this tall. It just
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: looks a little bit different. So I'm like trying to
- 1:27:16Speaker 6: press her on, Hey, let's go outside, Let's throw the ball,
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: let's go kick the ball, let's go do these things.
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: And then I'm watching playoff hockey with her last April,
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: and I'm sitting there and I'm just giving her a
- 1:27:25Speaker 6: whole thing, like, if you want, you could be great,
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: if you want to play sports. I'm just telling you,
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: like your old man did it. I can see it
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: in you. And my daughter sits back and she just goes,
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: you know what. Then I think I'm just gonna be me.
- 1:27:41Speaker 6: And that was the moment I was like, we're done here.
- 1:27:43Speaker 6: This is we don't have a fighting chance right now.
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: For feel felt like my I just lost a lot
- 1:27:48Speaker 6: of money because I to pay for school. That's what
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: it felt like. It was heartbreaking. But also now she's
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: in jiu jitsu, it was just kind of beat an
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: ass it, dude.
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: It was.
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: That's the thing about Whin and she has like crazy
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: perspective for an eight year old. She sits back and
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: just kind of dials it in. But yeah, we got
- 1:28:05Speaker 6: her jiu jitsu, and she does she's all about that
- 1:28:07Speaker 6: right now. She's like, she likes individual.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Sports, so she's getting in sport.
- 1:28:10Speaker 6: She's getting in sport. Yes, singular jiu jitsu is.
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: The sickest thing for a kid to do that like that,
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: that is cool. Yeah, at least it's not. I mean
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: I hate by the way, never mind, I can't say
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: that's going to come back to haunt me. Don't worry
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: about that might come back to haunt me if I say,
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: at least because my daughter, you never know, she might
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: be like, I don't want to play sports.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: You're right, you do.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: So let me just stop there. Yeah, because I don't
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: care what my you know, I also I am going
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: to stop there.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: You know, maybe I do. I'm stopping.
- 1:28:46Speaker 6: Let me just respect being an individual myself who has
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: been in sports my entire life, and like all I
- 1:28:51Speaker 6: really knew was sports. Having a kid that is like
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: in the piano into art songwriting class, doing a little
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: bit of jiu JITs, like she was doing so many
- 1:28:59Speaker 6: things that like it becomes fun because you're doing you're
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: now doing things that like, hey, I can't help you,
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: but I can like be a part of these things
- 1:29:06Speaker 6: with you, and that is a very fun thing as
- 1:29:08Speaker 6: a father.
- 1:29:08Speaker 4: Yeah, the best part about growing up. The best part
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: about football growing up was playing basketball and baseball, because
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: if you loved football, you waited, you didn't, you weren't
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: doing it all the time, Like you got to escape it,
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: put your mind on something else, then go to baseball
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: or track, whatever it was. Then you you know, come
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: back to it. So I completely agree with you. I
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: think doing a bunch of different stuff is important.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you'd be itching as a young buck, as a
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: young jit, just waiting for football season to come back around.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Because baseball, basketball, you could do those things all year round.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: And then as you get older it gets forced on
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: you a little bit more fall ball, you know, summer,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: but you're playing all throughout the season. Then if it's
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: snowing in the wintertime, a dad has got a massive
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: warehouse or garage. So we're hitting batting cage, you're throwing
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: the heavier baseball.
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: I always hated the indoor batting cage practice.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you get the gas.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: It's just me. You're like, it's always dark lit like
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: some gritty warehouse, which I respect the setting, but it
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: always felt like we should be doing something else, like
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: this should be another sport time, like baseball seasons, baseball season,
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: and it's not baseball season. Its being like, you know,
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: the fall or whatever, the season in the fall anymore?
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: Is it springs?
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: Spring springs?
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: Yeah, And you'd be like, you know, I shouldn't be
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: doing VP right now, I should be playing something else
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: in outside.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: Yeah, in the snow, because outside it's you know, quiet.
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: You might have the gas that a huge heat just
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: blowing and then you just be hearing the crack of
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: the bat and everything else. But it felt a little
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: bit more transactional. And then you're in there actually playing
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: sports with the fellas.
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I never Arizona was you went to the there's
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: always like a couple of vending machines at the front. Yeah,
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: you know what I'm talking about, a couple of vending machines.
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: There's the water water fountain. It's like kind of broken,
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: but you can still get some out of there.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: You hear the mound kind of hitting the concrete because
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: there's just a you know, a manufactured mound out there.
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like your boy's dad loves this, Yeah, like
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: a little too much. He's the pitcher and he's like
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: loving it, talking about your hands and your.
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Stab and your bass and all of it constantly. Oh
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: I can feel those moments right now. I'm reliving them.
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: It's like you hear the crack of the bat and
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: you hear another one a couple bays down, Yeah, or
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: guys are four bays down having VP.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: Talking about your hands, just getting them over good time.
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: You can't catch pop flies either, which was always a
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: weird right, love pop flies, love poff flies, big pop
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: fly guys, pop flies much better than grounders. Yeah, take
- 1:31:44Speaker 4: one off the chin.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Bleeding all over the place, get hit in the mouth.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: But then you get to play Pepper.
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: Pepper's good game.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: It's like all the boys are like lined up along
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: the fence and essentially like you know, the coaches out there,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: and it's a game. You're trying to be the last
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: when standing, but they're hitting like these little ground balls
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: and you can't bobble at all, right yeah yeah, okay,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: And the minute you bobble your you're eliminated. So then
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: it keeps going down and down. The pressure rises a
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: spot like gets a little brighter. It's like who can
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: be the last man standing. You might catch your boy,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: might catch it easy one. You might get out on
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: a hard one, and you're just devastating because you're like, man,
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: ain't nobody feeling this coach?
- 1:32:22Speaker 6: Like him better?
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Then like me?
- 1:32:23Speaker 6: He wanted me to fail right here? Yeah, that's where
- 1:32:26Speaker 6: weed that out sounds like my childhood wasn't as dope
- 1:32:28Speaker 6: as your guys is. Just like that memory lane, I
- 1:32:29Speaker 6: saw you guys go back in time.
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: For a minute. I wish I appreciated baseball more as
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: a kid because I always thought, man, baseball's boring. Baseball
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: is boring, but like it really is just a built
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: in smelt with your boys. Yeah, like you're just hanging
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: out with your buddies, chewing seeds, like if you ever
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: wanted to hang out with your buddies, play baseball effort
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: game And I didn't play in high school. I ran
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: track instead, And looking back, and like, I wish I
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: could have just shown up for the meats and then
- 1:32:57Speaker 4: played baseball, right because all of my football buddies played baseball,
- 1:33:01Speaker 4: and and when track would in and they were still
- 1:33:04Speaker 4: in it, we go and throw like a grill at
- 1:33:07Speaker 4: right field, and we would grill brods, cheddar brods, and
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: we would just talk ship to whoever the opposing team's
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: right fielder was, and it was like, it's awesome. Baseball
- 1:33:17Speaker 4: is awesome, a great pastime.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: You're right too, especially when new flavors of seeds are
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: coming on your back. I got some buffalo.
- 1:33:24Speaker 4: You're like, buffalo the weather, it's the weather was good.
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: Yeah, they pull out a massive bag.
- 1:33:28Speaker 6: The first time someone pops up pickle flavor and you're like,
- 1:33:30Speaker 6: I don't.
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: Know if that's gonna geah, no shot, and then you
- 1:33:32Speaker 4: have it and you're.
- 1:33:33Speaker 6: Like, holy shit, pickle rips. Now you're kind of searching
- 1:33:36Speaker 6: for pickle. Yeah, makes a flavor bake.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: I was gonna say I wasn't a mixed guy.
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: Mixing seed sounds crazy.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: That does sound or in Little League, like you get
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: done with your game and they're like, oh, everybody's getting
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: a snow cone at the concession stand, and you're all.
- 1:33:53Speaker 6: Just there'd be two diamonds and then right in the
- 1:33:56Speaker 6: middle of a concession stand and you go get yourself
- 1:33:59Speaker 6: nerd ropes and a hot dog, and you're like the
- 1:34:01Speaker 6: boys were truly living right.
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: Yeah, So it was all mixing seas.
- 1:34:08Speaker 6: Hey, when you said nacho and ranch making seeds though,
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: I thought that was a nice little move that has
- 1:34:12Speaker 6: the potential.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: I've never done it, But no, I do think that's
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: a nice conversation. I do think that sounds like a
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: nice combo. But just hearing mixing seeds, guys, you're reminiscent.
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: I'm just thinking all these different seeds in your mouth. Yeah,
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: I guess so.
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: Yeah, how about recess man, did the smell of metal
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: on your hands?
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: From the bars, playing that one game when you just
- 1:34:36Speaker 6: throw the ball in the air, whoever catches it gotta
- 1:34:38Speaker 6: tackle them. Yeah, you talk down.
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: There, trying to throw a peek at your crush. In
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: the minute she makes eye contact with you, look away.
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: Playing tag, playing tag with your crush, you tag her,
- 1:34:47Speaker 4: she goes for some other dude. Devastating news.
- 1:34:49Speaker 6: Yeah, and she's running away and you're like the tag back, like, no,
- 1:34:52Speaker 6: I tagged you.
- 1:34:52Speaker 4: You understand that, you understand what's going on here.
- 1:34:54Speaker 6: What the game is right now?
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: Right writing notes back in the day, you leave, you
- 1:34:59Speaker 4: leave the game aime of tag and you just go
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: with the boys to go play full on tackle football
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: because you're pissed. Yeah, then she's watching, Yeah, and you
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: have twelve touchdowns.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: Walk over like, yo, does she know I'm the alpha
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: in this field? Right now?
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: You have sweatstains, notes, notes ripped you.
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: You're like walking by and you're like, what would you?
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: A lot of different things, man. It might be I
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: might be in the relationship and you're writing notes back
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: and forth. I might be you know, chasing where you
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: got the yes or no box?
- 1:35:30Speaker 6: Oh you respond straight about AIM, MSN, messenger CAT whatever
- 1:35:39Speaker 6: it's on the computer.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so it's aims. There moments where
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: you could like something might crazy happen. Then you immediately
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: sign off and then sign back on and your usual.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: It might be I just got.
- 1:35:50Speaker 6: Hacked not not having the stones to talk to a
- 1:35:58Speaker 6: girl at school. But then you go on like AOL
- 1:36:00Speaker 6: and he was.
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: Sorting messages the craziest game ever. Yeah, share in person
- 1:36:05Speaker 4: and you're like, hey, you give her that half hug?
- 1:36:11Speaker 4: Yeah s, go to your boys, who's that? That's my girlfriend?
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: But yeah, then you you literally would ask girls out
- 1:36:18Speaker 6: on AOL do you want to be my girlfriend? Yes?
- 1:36:21Speaker 6: I got it immediately, I gotta go L y L.
- 1:36:23Speaker 6: I'm out of here yes, G two G yeah, yeah,
- 1:36:28Speaker 6: you hit him with the L y L and then
- 1:36:29Speaker 6: you kind of wait to see if they respond and
- 1:36:30Speaker 6: say it back, and then I don't. They're like, I
- 1:36:32Speaker 6: got it.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: Yeah, oh ship, you gotta roll at the time, you
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: gotta roll?
- 1:36:38Speaker 6: Oh yeah, where are you going?
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: Dude?
- 1:36:42Speaker 6: I got what do you have something to do today?
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: He'd be asked, b asked.
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: Hes at two fifteen in like an hour drive?
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: Will you flash me?
- 1:36:51Speaker 6: How insane is it getting around this time?
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: Hey? You heard me, you'd be on it. Will you
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: flash me?
- 1:37:01Speaker 6: He is so and So's father?
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: And then that's how you sign all the time back
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: on God had.
- 1:37:04Speaker 6: Christians gotta go? Ohsi's gotta go? Blood like question plase
- 1:37:07Speaker 6: like question?
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: People who do anything for an ice school bud Lightwe
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: would Chritian McCaffrey do anything.
- 1:37:11Speaker 6: For can't say family?
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: Maybe he can in this instance, Okay, you can't say family,
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: my daughter. There we go back.
