- 0:00Speaker 1: A global panic is now putting the metals market in play,
- 0:03Speaker 1: gold and silver all time highs. We're going to break
- 0:05Speaker 1: it down with an expert that you don't want to
- 0:07Speaker 1: miss today and it's going to be a hot one.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Let's just jump right into it. I do want to
- 0:11Speaker 1: thank our sponsor, and that of course is Tangum. And
- 0:14Speaker 1: if you guys are brand new to crypto and you
- 0:16Speaker 1: don't know what self custy is, well you're going to
- 0:18Speaker 1: learn fast because when you look at crypto and what
- 0:22Speaker 1: the banks are trying to do around taking yield, well,
- 0:25Speaker 1: self custing may be your only bastion of faith. And
- 0:28Speaker 1: that is where you can go into Tangum. Use our
- 0:31Speaker 1: link down below. It's going to get you a little
- 0:33Speaker 1: bit of a discount and the best thing is it
- 0:35Speaker 1: gets you into self custy. And did you know you
- 0:37Speaker 1: can hold digital gold on your Tangum card. That's right,
- 0:41Speaker 1: you can hold digital cold in your self custody wallet.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Very easy to set up, super secure, it's one of
- 0:47Speaker 1: the best things out there. All right, before we get
- 0:48Speaker 1: started and bring in our guests, I want to go
- 0:50Speaker 1: to a quick vescent clip around don't panic.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Take a look again, I would say This is the
- 0:57Speaker 2: same kind of a hysteria that we heard on April.
- 1:01Speaker 2: There was a panic, and what I am urging everyone
- 1:04Speaker 2: here to do is sit back, take a deep breath,
- 1:08Speaker 2: and let things play out. As I said on April second,
- 1:12Speaker 2: the worst thing countries can do is escalate against the
- 1:16Speaker 2: United States.
- 1:18Speaker 1: All right, So we remember Liberation Day, the escalations that
- 1:22Speaker 1: came up, came down, the markets were in Mayhem, all
- 1:25Speaker 1: of those kind of crazy things. And of course that
- 1:28Speaker 1: I think also began a little bit of movement into
- 1:31Speaker 1: the metals market, which we have seen do nothing but
- 1:34Speaker 1: go up the chart. So joining me now is the
- 1:37Speaker 1: number one expert in the world when it comes to gold,
- 1:41Speaker 1: silver and metals, and that's Andy Scheckman. How are you Andy.
- 1:44Speaker 3: It's good to see if Paul thanks for having me back. Brother. Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Well, listen, Miles, Franklin is doing a lot of business
- 1:51Speaker 1: today because gold and silver both are cracking all time highs.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We are seeing an absolute unbelievable move on this when
- 1:59Speaker 1: you look at what's happening around the world. First of all,
- 2:03Speaker 1: I guess we'll just get the big question out of
- 2:05Speaker 1: the way. Can this sustain at the kind of acceleration
- 2:09Speaker 1: we're seeing.
- 2:11Speaker 4: You know, Paul, I think the real question is what
- 2:13Speaker 4: is the fair price of gold and silver, two assets
- 2:16Speaker 4: that have never been allowed to find price discovery. And
- 2:21Speaker 4: I would say the institution's closest to the metal are
- 2:24Speaker 4: prioritizing control of deliverable gold and silver rather than promises
- 2:29Speaker 4: of future availability. And you know, I think that there's
- 2:35Speaker 4: a realization that this game that has been played by
- 2:39Speaker 4: the West of holding down the paper price of gold
- 2:41Speaker 4: and silver bolt for distinctly separate reasons, is coming to
- 2:45Speaker 4: an end now because what you are seeing is insanely.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Large deliveries, whether.
- 2:51Speaker 4: It be off of the LBMA or into or off
- 2:56Speaker 4: of the COMEX. The December delivery month as an example,
- 3:01Speaker 4: for gold, we saw about sixty eight million ounces delivered,
- 3:05Speaker 4: the largest December ever for silver ever in the history
- 3:09Speaker 4: of the COMEX since nineteen seventy four, four or five
- 3:14Speaker 4: million ounces of gold as well. You know, you're talking
- 3:16Speaker 4: billions and billions and billions of dollars. But this is
- 3:19Speaker 4: happening every single month since a year ago November when
- 3:24Speaker 4: he won the election.
- 3:25Speaker 3: And you know, you look at what's.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Happened just in the few days since in the January deliveries,
- 3:32Speaker 4: which is not a primary delivery month, and we've already
- 3:36Speaker 4: seen north of forty million ounces of silver delivered. Again,
- 3:40Speaker 4: so in the last forty days you're already and there's
- 3:43Speaker 4: still another you know, ten days plus to go, we're
- 3:45Speaker 4: already at one hundred and ten hundred and fifteen million
- 3:48Speaker 4: ounces of silver delivered to COMEX and somewhere in the
- 3:52Speaker 4: neighborhood of five six million ounces of gold delivered.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And so the question really is who's doing it.
- 3:59Speaker 4: And at that level, I would argue these people don't
- 4:02Speaker 4: do it just for the hell of it. So yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 4: so I do think it can go, and I do
- 4:06Speaker 4: think that none of us know where it stops, only
- 4:08Speaker 4: because it's never been allowed to find. They have never
- 4:11Speaker 4: been allowed to find real price discovery.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Well, we're looking at a ninety four dollars silver right
- 4:16Speaker 1: now as we kind of just look at the tracking
- 4:19Speaker 1: of silver in general. The movement of this chart absolutely insane.
- 4:23Speaker 1: If you look at gold now hitting another all time
- 4:25Speaker 1: high forty six seventy or forty seven sixty as we
- 4:29Speaker 1: are recording this right now, and a big day right
- 4:32Speaker 1: now on gold up almost four percent. So this indicates
- 4:37Speaker 1: some pressure in the market. Many people would look to
- 4:40Speaker 1: some of the actions that President Trump is in the
- 4:43Speaker 1: middle of. I have a tweet here that kind of
- 4:45Speaker 1: shows this, and that was this little visual right here
- 4:49Speaker 1: that was put out by the White House, of course,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and it shows the United States, Canada, Greenland, Venezuela all
- 4:56Speaker 1: under one flag. Point being is this gets into a
- 4:59Speaker 1: very very dicey narrative for the United States, is that
- 5:04Speaker 1: do you think metals have been the beneficiary of this?
- 5:09Speaker 1: You know, just not good position in terms of market
- 5:14Speaker 1: positioning right now?
- 5:16Speaker 3: What do you think absolutely?
- 5:18Speaker 4: I mean, I think you go back to the weaponizing
- 5:22Speaker 4: of the treasury market and against Russia, right, wrong or
- 5:27Speaker 4: indifferent part of the world says, look, you guys went
- 5:30Speaker 4: to a rock twenty two years ago looking for weapons
- 5:32Speaker 4: and mass destruction.
- 5:33Speaker 3: You didn't find them.
- 5:34Speaker 4: You destroyed their country, toppled the regime, and you're still
- 5:36Speaker 4: there today, and yet you can tell us how to
- 5:39Speaker 4: do things. You're fiscally irresponsible. You're nearly two hundred trillion
- 5:44Speaker 4: in debt. We talked about thirty eight, but don't forget Medicare, Medicaid,
- 5:48Speaker 4: social security, government, military pensions. You're wasting a trillion dollars
- 5:52Speaker 4: or occurring a trillion in debt every hundred days, and
- 5:55Speaker 4: you want to tell us how to do things.
- 5:57Speaker 3: And so this vision of the moral.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Ground that we, you know, we establish after World War Two,
- 6:03Speaker 4: you could argue they view us as having trampled upon it.
- 6:07Speaker 3: And so when you see these moves that are.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I guess creating animosity either on the surface or below. Yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 4: you're looking at a situation right now where I guess
- 6:21Speaker 4: you could say that the West is still pricing gold
- 6:25Speaker 4: and silver in terms of paper pricing. Yeah, yeah, and
- 6:28Speaker 4: the rest of the world is pricing it in terms
- 6:30Speaker 4: of physical pricing. So yeah, I think they are a
- 6:33Speaker 4: primary benefactor of this type of rhetoric.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Well, with that kind of statement, you have to kind
- 6:39Speaker 1: of consider what's going on here in the US. If
- 6:42Speaker 1: you look at this from a job's growth standpoint, we've
- 6:46Speaker 1: started to see not great job growth. Of course, granted,
- 6:50Speaker 1: we saw inflation kind of holding and even if you
- 6:53Speaker 1: look at trueflation data right now, it seems to be
- 6:56Speaker 1: slipping slightly. Then you add in the fact that we
- 6:59Speaker 1: have the Supreme Court not issuing a ruling on Trump's tariffs,
- 7:03Speaker 1: which means does this actually put this on a rising
- 7:07Speaker 1: possibility of the tariffs holding. If the tariffs hold, this
- 7:12Speaker 1: is going to continue to put market disarray in play,
- 7:16Speaker 1: meaning risk assets probably will continue to bleed against metals.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Metals probably will continue to go up.
- 7:24Speaker 3: You know.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Of course, to the point I'm getting at is where
- 7:26Speaker 1: does this stop right now before we start to see
- 7:29Speaker 1: market stabilization or do you think we even see market
- 7:32Speaker 1: stabilization anytime soon?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Well, again, I would just say, what where is real
- 7:39Speaker 4: price discovery? I mean, you look at to me, when
- 7:44Speaker 4: you take a look at who's been buying the gold
- 7:46Speaker 4: for the past several years, it's been the most well
- 7:48Speaker 4: informed traders in the world.
- 7:49Speaker 3: The central banks.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Forget about how much money they have, they have more
- 7:52Speaker 4: than anyone, but they know the playbook.
- 7:54Speaker 3: What is unusual is to see.
- 7:56Speaker 4: The same thing happening here in the United States with
- 7:58Speaker 4: the most sophisticated traders on the planet on Wall Street
- 8:02Speaker 4: that are bringing in billions upon billions upon billions upon
- 8:05Speaker 4: billions every single month. I think you could argue, I
- 8:10Speaker 4: could argue that this is actually a plan, that they
- 8:13Speaker 4: are trying to do this, and I know that sounds crazy,
- 8:16Speaker 4: but it has been my feeling for a very long
- 8:19Speaker 4: time that there's a the or an economic theory called
- 8:23Speaker 4: Triffin's dilemma. Vice President Vance has talked about it. The
- 8:27Speaker 4: previous economic advisor, the real knucklehead that he was, Jared Bernstein,
- 8:33Speaker 4: did write a report called the throne King Dollar. Both
- 8:36Speaker 4: both Vance and Bernstein advocate for losing the reserve status.
- 8:40Speaker 4: That is a privilege we can no longer afford. And
- 8:43Speaker 4: you know, you got the Fund Van Neck, the Fund
- 8:48Speaker 4: Group Van Neck, who just came out talking about if
- 8:51Speaker 4: the dollar really does lose reserve status, which I think
- 8:54Speaker 4: it will, honest to god, I believe they want to
- 8:56Speaker 4: soft default on the reserve status to peg the back
- 9:00Speaker 4: back end of the bond market with gold using the
- 9:02Speaker 4: Genius Act, all of this together. If I were to
- 9:05Speaker 4: go through the whole thing with you, it take five minutes.
- 9:07Speaker 4: But what they're trying to do, I believe, is to
- 9:10Speaker 4: massively debase the dollar, to shed the reserve status.
- 9:14Speaker 3: To bring back manufacturing.
- 9:15Speaker 4: And the only way you do it is link the
- 9:17Speaker 4: back end of the bond market to gold.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Now Van Neck came out and just said that if.
- 9:21Speaker 4: They do, indeed, the base case would be thirty nine thousand,
- 9:25Speaker 4: and they're just using M zero money, which is the
- 9:29Speaker 4: you know, this is the foundation of everything else, that
- 9:32Speaker 4: is the money supply, and if.
- 9:33Speaker 3: It goes up to global M two.
- 9:35Speaker 4: They're talking about the price of gold going up to
- 9:38Speaker 4: one hundred and eighty four thousand. Now this isn't someone
- 9:41Speaker 4: in this industry. This is van X saying it and
- 9:43Speaker 4: their bond team saying it. So how high can it go?
- 9:48Speaker 4: I guess we will see.
- 9:49Speaker 3: What I have.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Learned, Paul, in this industry is that bull markets go
- 9:53Speaker 4: higher than anyone ever thinks possible. These things have always
- 9:57Speaker 4: been in play because no one stood for delivery. Less
- 9:59Speaker 4: than one percent a contract stood for delivery. Now you
- 10:02Speaker 4: have a whole global South that is sophisticated, motivated, wealthy,
- 10:07Speaker 4: and coordinated and they have been standing for delivery for
- 10:10Speaker 4: a very long time. And it is my belief. Someone
- 10:12Speaker 4: got to Trump as he was coming in and said,
- 10:15Speaker 4: if we don't join this party, it's game over. And
- 10:19Speaker 4: the amount of metal that's come in is four feet
- 10:21Speaker 4: of snow and Death Valley in July. It's that big
- 10:23Speaker 4: of an anomaly, Paul, It really is. And no one
- 10:26Speaker 4: in the mainstream is talking about I'm screaming about it,
- 10:29Speaker 4: that this is just out.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Of control, unusual.
- 10:33Speaker 4: And then of course we just by chance happened to
- 10:36Speaker 4: make silver a critical mineral, and all of these things
- 10:39Speaker 4: are starting to fall into place. And report by the
- 10:42Speaker 4: Economic Times came out two weeks ago and said, by
- 10:45Speaker 4: the way, those eight banks that have been short all
- 10:47Speaker 4: these years, well, the five US banks have just flip
- 10:49Speaker 4: flopped and gone long. This is about sovereign nations securing
- 10:54Speaker 4: gold and silver for the future, for perhaps a new system.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Whatever is being put in place, very different, honest to god,
- 11:01Speaker 4: very different than anything I've ever seen in thirty five years.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Andy, what, okay, So we have tokenized gold right now,
- 11:09Speaker 1: whether you look at PAXO, sex a UT, both of
- 11:12Speaker 1: course have been performing very well in terms of adoption.
- 11:15Speaker 1: We've continued to see more wallets holding these.
- 11:17Speaker 3: What about silver?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Do you think we're going to get a tokenied silver
- 11:20Speaker 1: product in the market anytime soon?
- 11:24Speaker 4: I don't see why not. The only hindrance to the tokenized.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Silver could actually be supply.
- 11:32Speaker 4: And you know, you take a look at something like
- 11:34Speaker 4: SLV or gold which allows naked shorting and these kinds
- 11:39Speaker 4: of things, it distorts what the real amount of silver is.
- 11:42Speaker 4: You know, if they figure out a way to allow
- 11:45Speaker 4: redemption in usable forms instead of thousand ounce bars or
- 11:51Speaker 4: something like that in small usable form. Yeah, I think
- 11:55Speaker 4: it's it's a game changer toy figure out how to
- 11:57Speaker 4: do it right.
- 11:57Speaker 3: But you look at a.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Company like Tether, you know, all you hear is there
- 12:02Speaker 4: they've bought fourteen billion in gold, which supports my theory.
- 12:05Speaker 4: By the way, especially with the new stable coin Genius Act.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Where is all that money going that is backing the
- 12:15Speaker 4: treasury yield? Where's it going? My feeling is it's going
- 12:18Speaker 4: into things like gold to continue to be value the dollar,
- 12:21Speaker 4: to push up the price of goal, to back the
- 12:23Speaker 4: back end of the bond market. But that's again we
- 12:26Speaker 4: can talk about that some other time. But what I'm
- 12:28Speaker 4: saying is you never hear anything about them accumulating silver,
- 12:31Speaker 4: at least I haven't, and so I think it would
- 12:33Speaker 4: be great.
- 12:34Speaker 3: There's a void for it for sure.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Yeah, if hopefully Paolo, if you're listening, this is this
- 12:39Speaker 1: is a big need right now. If that again, granted,
- 12:41Speaker 1: if you can get physical custody of it. Hey, listen,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I've got.
- 12:44Speaker 3: A clip here. Actually I want to just show the tweet.
- 12:47Speaker 1: This was Black Rocks CEO Larry Fake. He says that
- 12:50Speaker 1: global elites have lost the public's trust. I'm of the
- 12:56Speaker 1: mind did they ever have it? But do you think
- 13:00Speaker 1: that maybe they are realizing it for the first time?
- 13:03Speaker 1: Here is that Oh my gosh, we actually have one
- 13:07Speaker 1: point six billion millennials gen Z and gen A's alphas
- 13:14Speaker 1: that are essentially now getting ready to enter the market
- 13:17Speaker 1: for finance and we no longer control it. What do
- 13:20Speaker 1: you think about that?
- 13:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, how do you think Mondomi got elected?
- 13:23Speaker 4: I think it was the turnout of the gen Z
- 13:26Speaker 4: who are very disenfranchised. You look at twenty years ago,
- 13:30Speaker 4: the average price or the average age of the first
- 13:33Speaker 4: time home buyer was like twenty eight. Now it's forty
- 13:35Speaker 4: two or so, and the people, young kids can't afford anything.
- 13:39Speaker 4: And you got this k shape economy, the Cantalon effect,
- 13:43Speaker 4: where the poor getting poorer and the richer are getting
- 13:46Speaker 4: richer because their assets had won up, you know, extremely
- 13:50Speaker 4: high over the last several years. I don't know what
- 13:52Speaker 4: I saw the number, but the top one percent has
- 13:55Speaker 4: increased their wealth by like eleven trillion dollars while the
- 13:57Speaker 4: bottom fifty percent is struggling just to put food on
- 14:00Speaker 4: the table. And that's because, like you were talking, about earlier.
- 14:04Speaker 4: The inflation numbers that we are supposed to believe out
- 14:07Speaker 4: of the BS, I mean the BLS when they call
- 14:10Speaker 4: us the you know, the cp LI, I mean the CPI.
- 14:14Speaker 4: They say it's three percent. No it's not three percent.
- 14:16Speaker 4: It's much higher in that. If you use the like
- 14:19Speaker 4: you said, true inflation, you're much higher than that. But
- 14:22Speaker 4: you know, even still here, they're going to pivot right
- 14:26Speaker 4: now fifty percent away from their target and inject more
- 14:29Speaker 4: inflation into the system, making it more difficult for the
- 14:32Speaker 4: gen z to stay afloat, making it easier for the
- 14:36Speaker 4: people who have assets to become wealthier. It's a it's
- 14:39Speaker 4: a very tough, very tough predicament we're in. But yes,
- 14:44Speaker 4: I do believe that on every level, whether it be
- 14:47Speaker 4: politically or even things like our judicial system, our institutions
- 14:53Speaker 4: like Wall Street, the comas, all of these places that
- 14:58Speaker 4: were fraud.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I mean, even look at the Federal Reserve.
- 15:01Speaker 4: All the people that have under fet Chairman Powell's watch,
- 15:04Speaker 4: have been accused of and or kicked out of the
- 15:07Speaker 4: Fed because of fraud. And you look at what's happening,
- 15:10Speaker 4: and I even hate to say it, my old home
- 15:13Speaker 4: state of Minnesota fraud all.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Over the place.
- 15:16Speaker 4: You bring in DOGE, they find two trillion dollars that
- 15:20Speaker 4: can be cut and they come up with only about
- 15:22Speaker 4: two hundred billion, about thirty plus hours of spending by
- 15:25Speaker 4: the US government fraudulent. All of this stuff, I think
- 15:29Speaker 4: is making much of the world look at like you're
- 15:34Speaker 4: saying the establishment and all of our institutions as needing
- 15:39Speaker 4: a change. And that's where I think you get this
- 15:42Speaker 4: gen Z turnout in New York to elect you know,
- 15:47Speaker 4: a guy that is almost socialists. So, you know, I
- 15:50Speaker 4: don't know crazy times for sure, but yes, I think
- 15:53Speaker 4: we're at that point, the fourth turning, if you will.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And it also aligns with what's going on with the
- 15:58Speaker 1: Clarity Act right now. The fact that we had the
- 16:01Speaker 1: banks pushing so hard to you know, rip the yield
- 16:03Speaker 1: concept out, destroy DeFi try to break down privacy. All
- 16:07Speaker 1: of that has been pushed onto Americans. I think this
- 16:11Speaker 1: may be a backfire on the status quo looking a
- 16:15Speaker 1: little bit too far into the cookie jar. And we
- 16:18Speaker 1: finally have the numbers in terms of demographics, because we
- 16:22Speaker 1: don't have the numbers from a financial standpoint, But if
- 16:25Speaker 1: you start to compile that at three x that especially
- 16:29Speaker 1: to your point of the wealthy getting even more wealthy.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Maybe we're at a point of a pivotal issue right now.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Here was Peter Schiff saying that you should sell the
- 16:39Speaker 1: bitcoin by silver. He thinks it's going to collapse. That's,
- 16:44Speaker 1: you know, his story all the way around. Do you
- 16:45Speaker 1: think diversity is the route or do you think no?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Right now, metals is the only way.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I think that we see the world very similarly. We
- 16:54Speaker 4: walk in the door largely because of the same reason.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Maybe the crypto crowd goes this way to make a
- 17:01Speaker 4: profit and the gold crowd this way to preserve it.
- 17:03Speaker 4: But it's like a Reese's peanut butter cup, they're better together.
- 17:06Speaker 4: And I do think that taking profits off the table
- 17:10Speaker 4: that you've made in the run of in crypto and
- 17:13Speaker 4: putting it into gold and silver, taking some of that
- 17:17Speaker 4: risk off the table is a good idea. And instead
- 17:21Speaker 4: of being divisive with one another, I think having united
- 17:25Speaker 4: front not only increases your understanding monetarily of what's going on,
- 17:32Speaker 4: but I think it makes your entire portfolio and your.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Peace of mind a lot better as well.
- 17:40Speaker 4: I think Peter's a brilliant man, and I think i'd
- 17:43Speaker 4: follow a lot of what he does. I think creating
- 17:46Speaker 4: a rift between the two communities is a mistake, and
- 17:48Speaker 4: I think instead they'll just tune out the reasons that
- 17:51Speaker 4: he's talking about. I think finding some form of common
- 17:54Speaker 4: middle ground and uniting in understanding of what's wrong in
- 18:00Speaker 4: the system and finding different pathways of getting there, but
- 18:05Speaker 4: respecting one another. And the look, if you never listen
- 18:09Speaker 4: to other people's opinions, you never grow, and you learn
- 18:12Speaker 4: more and more about less and less till you know
- 18:13Speaker 4: everything about nothing. So while I am not someone who
- 18:17Speaker 4: understands crypto the way you do, I come on this
- 18:19Speaker 4: show as much for me to learn and be open
- 18:22Speaker 4: minded as it is to help your viewers understand my
- 18:25Speaker 4: world a little bit. And that to me is strength
- 18:29Speaker 4: and understanding, strength and portfolio, strength and argument and understanding
- 18:34Speaker 4: that there are two more than.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Just one way to skin a cat.
- 18:38Speaker 4: So yeah, I think he's intellectually he's at the top
- 18:42Speaker 4: of the food chain. But I think it's a mistake
- 18:44Speaker 4: to alienate all these people.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Well, I would agree with you on that because I've
- 18:48Speaker 1: known Peter. We've had him on the show for years
- 18:50Speaker 1: and years, but really, until we started having you on
- 18:53Speaker 1: the show. Did I actually say, wait a minute, metals
- 18:56Speaker 1: are a thing. We need to diversify our assets. And
- 18:59Speaker 1: we did that, you know, because it was that kind
- 19:02Speaker 1: of point that you just made, which is, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 1: a much more even keel of Hey, both both assets,
- 19:08Speaker 1: whether you believe in stocks, bonds, you look at high
- 19:11Speaker 1: equity yields, you look at what's going on in the
- 19:13Speaker 1: metals market, and then obviously in the crypto market, we
- 19:15Speaker 1: look at all of them.
- 19:17Speaker 3: So I've had it.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So thank you for bringing us into the metals game,
- 19:20Speaker 1: because it's.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I appreciate that. That's awesome. It paid off.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Hey, I've got a clip here. I want to get
- 19:26Speaker 1: your opinion on real quick. This is Chamath Polyopotia coming
- 19:29Speaker 1: in from the All End podcast. Listen to what he
- 19:30Speaker 1: had to say.
- 19:32Speaker 5: I will pick copper.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Okay, copper.
- 19:36Speaker 5: We are still completely underestimating how short we are in
- 19:43Speaker 5: terms of the global demand supplied dynamics of a handful
- 19:47Speaker 5: of critical elements that we need. Again, in the Trump
- 19:50Speaker 5: doctrine view of the world, that is no longer as
- 19:54Speaker 5: multilateral as it was, and we need to have unilateral
- 19:57Speaker 5: national security. And if you look through that lens, the
- 20:02Speaker 5: asset that is set up to go absolutely parabolic is copper.
- 20:08Speaker 5: And the reason is that it is, at least as
- 20:11Speaker 5: it stands today, the most useful, cheap, amenable conductive material
- 20:17Speaker 5: that we have. That material manifests in everything from our
- 20:22Speaker 5: data centers to our chips to our weapons systems. It's
- 20:27Speaker 5: just everywhere, everywhere, everywhere, And right now, Jason, we are
- 20:31Speaker 5: on a path by twenty forty where we will be
- 20:34Speaker 5: short about seventy percent of the global supply at current
- 20:39Speaker 5: course and speed, and so I will pick copper.
- 20:44Speaker 3: All right. There you have it.
- 20:45Speaker 1: One of the world's best investors out there. I mean,
- 20:47Speaker 1: you know, if you look at the places he's done
- 20:49Speaker 1: so far, he's been wrong sometimes. Tom Lee has gone
- 20:52Speaker 1: on record talking about copper being an unsung hero. You
- 20:56Speaker 1: look at the world's largest online bullion exchange completely sold
- 20:59Speaker 1: out out of copper. Let that sink in, and you
- 21:03Speaker 1: look at just what it can be used for, which
- 21:05Speaker 1: is what you Moth was getting at right there?
- 21:07Speaker 4: What do you say, Andy, I think he's right, and
- 21:10Speaker 4: I think, yeah, I think he's right. And I think
- 21:12Speaker 4: that silver and copper are nearly identical in many respects
- 21:18Speaker 4: in their certainly their conductivity purposes. Silver's a little bit
- 21:24Speaker 4: better than copper. Copper's less money, but copper has more uses.
- 21:27Speaker 4: They both have plurality in uses. Now, I don't stock
- 21:31Speaker 4: as a precious mentals company copper coins because they've always
- 21:35Speaker 4: been in my mind too bulky for you know, I
- 21:38Speaker 4: would prefer to buy something like Freeport Macmaran stock, which
- 21:41Speaker 4: I own. I think he's right, and you know, there
- 21:45Speaker 4: is no coincidence that both of them have been added
- 21:48Speaker 4: to the critical Minerals list, and Trump said within the
- 21:52Speaker 4: next one hundred and eighty days, by law, they will
- 21:54Speaker 4: find a government sponsored price floor underneath them. And that's
- 22:01Speaker 4: I think, to incentivize mining here in the United States,
- 22:05Speaker 4: because if you look at the low lying fruit that
- 22:08Speaker 4: has been picked already, by the way, much of the
- 22:11Speaker 4: silver that we find is a byproduct of mining for copper.
- 22:15Speaker 4: In fact, only about eighteen percent of the silver that
- 22:18Speaker 4: was brought to market last year came from primary silver mining.
- 22:21Speaker 3: The rest was copper's inc and maybe lead. I forgot
- 22:25Speaker 3: I think it's lead.
- 22:26Speaker 4: But anyways, as they continue to mine, the all in
- 22:30Speaker 4: sustaining cost like of silver, has gone way up, and
- 22:33Speaker 4: so you have to put a floor underneath it to
- 22:35Speaker 4: incentivize mining and here in the States. So yeah, I
- 22:39Speaker 4: think copper is a good one when known at physically.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I would own it in the form of a stock
- 22:44Speaker 4: because I think not enough people understand it, even the diehards,
- 22:48Speaker 4: Even someone like me, I would look at it and say, well, Okay,
- 22:51Speaker 4: what am I going to do with the copper? Silver
- 22:54Speaker 4: is different. It's been money for five thousand years. But
- 22:56Speaker 4: what he is saying is spot on, in my opinion.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Is a lot happening right now. Guys, we are going
- 23:02Speaker 1: to continue to follow this very closely. Andy, thanks so
- 23:06Speaker 1: much for coming in on the show today. We appreciate it.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Oh, it's a pleasure. You're a class act, Paul. Thanks
- 23:10Speaker 4: for having me, buddy, and hope to do it again.
