- 2:56Speaker 2: so we wish them the best. Want to welcome to
- 2:59Speaker 2: the show now a Republican State Senator from the fourth
- 3:02Speaker 2: Eric tar Good morning, sir, and welcome to the show.
- 3:03Speaker 4: And good morning day. Glad to be back.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Last time we had you on it was just after
- 3:07Speaker 2: the session. And today though you get your one interview
- 3:10Speaker 2: that we offer to all candidates, the one free interview
- 3:12Speaker 2: I think you got to pay for. But before we
- 3:15Speaker 2: get to candidate for re election to States Senate Eric Tarr,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I do want to ask you about the announcement Friday
- 3:21Speaker 2: about the data center coming to the Buffalo area Putnham County.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Absolutely, Google's making a huge investment in Puttnham County down there,
- 3:27Speaker 5: and we have several data centers, as you know, coming
- 3:29Speaker 5: across the states, and there's an.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Awful lot of discussion about it.
- 3:33Speaker 5: People that are concerned and people that are excited, so
- 3:35Speaker 5: it's kind of back and forth. Have had a good
- 3:38Speaker 5: chance sit down and talk with the people from Google
- 3:40Speaker 5: and see what their plans are there as well, and
- 3:43Speaker 5: as a resident in Putnam County, you know, looking into
- 3:45Speaker 5: what all this means for our family or neighbors and
- 3:49Speaker 5: everybody there.
- 3:49Speaker 4: So I'm excited about it.
- 3:51Speaker 6: You know.
- 3:51Speaker 5: I think it's a good thing for the counties where
- 3:54Speaker 5: just looking at the economic side of things and want
- 3:58Speaker 5: areas that have had this of investment come to them
- 4:01Speaker 5: through the big names in data centers. It's a significant
- 4:04Speaker 5: income household that that last that comes into those communities.
- 4:07Speaker 5: So there's so many there's so many jobs that come
- 4:09Speaker 5: off of it. They produce anywhere from six to nine
- 4:13Speaker 5: jobs to come off those they average six figure salaries
- 4:15Speaker 5: when they come in, tax based increases significantly, and then
- 4:19Speaker 5: a lot of the things, there's so much misinformation that's
- 4:21Speaker 5: out there floating around. So doing my own research and
- 4:24Speaker 5: looking at trying to see, okay, what's real, what's not,
- 4:26Speaker 5: and then actually talking to the you know, the developers,
- 4:29Speaker 5: the people that are going to actually making the investment
- 4:31Speaker 5: what they are, the people that are already serving them
- 4:33Speaker 5: as Western businesses that are looking to be vendors there,
- 4:36Speaker 5: they're it's it's I think it's in you. You weigh
- 4:40Speaker 5: all the pros and cons. This is going to be
- 4:41Speaker 5: a very heavily pro thing for the county and for
- 4:44Speaker 5: the stake.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And again the further details will be released. I know
- 4:47Speaker 2: the release went out on behalf of the Governor's office,
- 4:49Speaker 2: but also several other political folks and the Putnam County
- 4:52Speaker 2: Development Authority. Uh let us know about it a little
- 4:55Speaker 2: bit early as well. So, I mean, this is one
- 4:57Speaker 2: of the county commissioners of Putnham County text me Friday morning,
- 5:00Speaker 2: a Senator and said, it's probably probably the worst kept
- 5:02Speaker 2: secret ever. You know, we knew this was coming, but
- 5:05Speaker 2: and there are concerns and I and here's what I
- 5:07Speaker 2: know about it is that there are going to be
- 5:10Speaker 2: meetings held where where residents can come out and they
- 5:13Speaker 2: can ask questions get their questions answered by reputable sources.
- 5:17Speaker 7: You know.
- 5:17Speaker 5: And this is something different from Google the way they're
- 5:20Speaker 5: doing this within Google themselves. When when I got to
- 5:23Speaker 5: sit down chat with them. One of the things that's
- 5:25Speaker 5: different about this data center compared to others as far
- 5:28Speaker 5: as the planning goes, is this is very early for
- 5:31Speaker 5: them to come out and make the announcement, to come
- 5:33Speaker 5: out and say they've done the land purchase. Usually they
- 5:35Speaker 5: usually don't make these announcements until there's a shovel to
- 5:37Speaker 5: ground and getting ready to groundbreaking. And so one of
- 5:40Speaker 5: the reasons they said they wanted to do it this
- 5:41Speaker 5: way is just to show how transparent they're going to
- 5:43Speaker 5: be about the process. I mean, they've come in, we're
- 5:45Speaker 5: buying the land. That's a that's a significant early announcement
- 5:50Speaker 5: relative to any other data center they've done.
- 5:51Speaker 4: And they've got thirty two of them.
- 5:53Speaker 2: All right, So let's the reason you're here today, though,
- 5:55Speaker 2: as I said, is we like to give any candidate
- 5:58Speaker 2: that wants an opportunity to come on the air, and
- 6:01Speaker 2: you are running for reelection to State Senate. For those
- 6:04Speaker 2: who may not actually know you, give me the bio of.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Veritar Okay, yeah, it's you can find this. I would
- 6:10Speaker 5: tell you too if you if you go on to
- 6:11Speaker 5: either Facebook or my website websites Eric J. Tarwbsenate dot com,
- 6:17Speaker 5: or you can go or my Facebook and it's what
- 6:19Speaker 5: Eric J.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Tar W State Senate.
- 6:21Speaker 5: If you check those out, there's a video it's about
- 6:23Speaker 5: six minutes, really goes over this. I'm going to break
- 6:25Speaker 5: it down a little bit that what people really don't
- 6:28Speaker 5: know about me and my family, if they'd really only
- 6:30Speaker 5: met me in my tenure as a senator. Is that
- 6:33Speaker 5: you know, from the until I was about twelve years old,
- 6:36Speaker 5: my family and I didn't have a home. We caught
- 6:38Speaker 5: her own and we lived in borrowed beds uh bared trailers,
- 6:42Speaker 5: borrowed houses. Twelve years old, my dad nine had it.
- 6:47Speaker 5: We're near an old lumberyard. We took rough cut lumber,
- 6:51Speaker 5: doug the footings behind, mixed concrete behind, built house, a
- 6:56Speaker 5: little small house out of the rough lumber.
- 6:58Speaker 4: And then.
- 7:00Speaker 5: I got married in high school, had my first child
- 7:04Speaker 5: five days after high school graduation, special needs child. And
- 7:07Speaker 5: then going on from there, me and my wife went
- 7:10Speaker 5: on to college together. We've been married thirty five years
- 7:13Speaker 5: now graduation. Yeah, thank you appreciate that. That's a yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 5: I'll be thirty thirty six years. Sorry, married thirty six years.
- 7:20Speaker 6: Don't get it wrong here.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Man, I hope Natalie misses this show. So, but married
- 7:24Speaker 5: thirty six years, be thirty seven this year, and we
- 7:27Speaker 5: have three kids now. So through those let's started. My
- 7:32Speaker 5: first business was twenty four, working through college. There were
- 7:36Speaker 5: times I was working four jobs at a time. It
- 7:38Speaker 5: was nose to the grindstone all my life. That's all
- 7:40Speaker 5: I knew, and I enjoy that. I'm a bit of
- 7:43Speaker 5: a workaholic, so I enjoy the work. Once we started
- 7:48Speaker 5: our first business there in Tayese Valley, Generation's Physical Therapy,
- 7:51Speaker 5: and then it took off, and so I eventually went
- 7:54Speaker 5: back and got my doctor in physical therapy. I was
- 7:57Speaker 5: head a bachelor's and health science and a physical therapy
- 7:59Speaker 5: license at that point Masters and Business Administration became one
- 8:03Speaker 5: of the first five orthopedic specialists in physical therapy in
- 8:05Speaker 5: the state of West Virginia and held a lot of
- 8:09Speaker 5: positions throughout nationally and state level within the Physical Therapy
- 8:13Speaker 5: Association and a local organizations like Chamber of Commerce and
- 8:17Speaker 5: those type things. And now our family portfolio of businesses
- 8:21Speaker 5: is portfolio of small businesses spans the state where we
- 8:24Speaker 5: have businesses all the way from down in Barbersville to
- 8:27Speaker 5: Willing and I actually have one in Grace in Kentucky,
- 8:30Speaker 5: two one outside the state, and it's over thirty small businesses.
- 8:33Speaker 5: They span the range from car dealerships to hardware stores,
- 8:37Speaker 5: to physical therapy clinics, to gyms stores to retail residential leasing.
- 8:43Speaker 5: It's a pretty diverse portfolio of construction and development.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And I love business.
- 8:49Speaker 5: I just I love going out and creating something, watching
- 8:51Speaker 5: it grow, helping people develop people. It's a passion on
- 8:55Speaker 5: the development side of things. I've been an adjunct professor
- 8:58Speaker 5: at multiple universities, including University of Kentucky, Western University, Marshall University,
- 9:02Speaker 5: East Tennessee State. So there's what people really don't see
- 9:09Speaker 5: is kind of what it brought me to hear. And
- 9:11Speaker 5: so what happened in twenty fifteen when the Republicans took
- 9:14Speaker 5: majority as recruited to come up and be their chief
- 9:16Speaker 5: policy advisor. And so that's really how the level I
- 9:20Speaker 5: got started with within the Senate was that I had
- 9:24Speaker 5: relationships with several of the business people who had won
- 9:27Speaker 5: positions that won state Senate seats that year, and when
- 9:31Speaker 5: they came in, they were really going to see how
- 9:33Speaker 5: fast they could get things turned around, because anybody was
- 9:36Speaker 5: around that time here now remember that, you know, we
- 9:38Speaker 5: were worried about turning the lights on into the Capitol.
- 9:40Speaker 5: It was really upside down the budget and so I
- 9:43Speaker 5: started taking thumb drive home with me on budget on
- 9:45Speaker 5: the evenings. In twenty eighteen, ran for the seat, got
- 9:49Speaker 5: elected in twenty eighteen.
- 9:51Speaker 4: By two thousand and twenty one, I was.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Financed chair for the State of Western and the Senate
- 9:56Speaker 5: and as in really an architect or key men and
- 9:59Speaker 5: a lot of the policy that's got us where we
- 10:01Speaker 5: are now with regards to the tax cuts, over a
- 10:03Speaker 5: billion a year in tax cuts now that I got
- 10:05Speaker 5: to write the formula down for that. The economic development
- 10:09Speaker 5: that we change went from investing a million dollars a
- 10:12Speaker 5: year in economic development to six hundred million dollars at
- 10:15Speaker 5: our peak and still investing strong. It's produced an awful
- 10:18Speaker 5: lot of this and so much other pieces of legislation.
- 10:20Speaker 5: You see video coming out today on my Facebook about
- 10:22Speaker 5: third Grade Success Act, something I was able to work
- 10:24Speaker 5: with Sender Grady on where we increase funding to public
- 10:27Speaker 5: schools by one hundred million dollars a year to teach
- 10:29Speaker 5: kids to read. It's very, very focused, very specific. So
- 10:31Speaker 5: I bring business to the Senate.
- 10:32Speaker 2: What what message do you deliver went to your constituents
- 10:35Speaker 2: when you're out campaigning? I heard you telling somebody in
- 10:37Speaker 2: the early as you were out doing some door knocking
- 10:39Speaker 2: and things of that, mate, what message do you give
- 10:42Speaker 2: to the average person when you when you when you're campaigning.
- 10:44Speaker 4: You know, in a Republican primary.
- 10:46Speaker 5: One of the things I really want people to know
- 10:47Speaker 5: is that I'm I'm as conservative as they come.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Early am.
- 10:50Speaker 5: It's I'm pro life, pro Second Amendment, pro family. A
- 10:55Speaker 5: man's a man, a woman's a woman. Marriage is between
- 10:58Speaker 5: a man and a woman. That's that is my upbringing,
- 11:01Speaker 5: That's who I am at the core. The reason I
- 11:03Speaker 5: run for Senate is because of what I can bring
- 11:06Speaker 5: at an expertise level that West Virginia needs. And so
- 11:09Speaker 5: you know, it's we have so much opportunity to grow
- 11:12Speaker 5: this state and we've been losing.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Population forever the past couple of years.
- 11:16Speaker 5: With policy that has been implemented in twenty fifteen, we
- 11:19Speaker 5: finally have more people moving into the state than moving out.
- 11:22Speaker 5: We have record investment that's coming now and with that
- 11:27Speaker 5: eventually comes children with those families, and so you'll start
- 11:30Speaker 5: seeing where we as we get a younger population. From that,
- 11:33Speaker 5: you'll start seeing where we our death rate is not
- 11:37Speaker 5: increased over our birth rate, which will then is starting
- 11:40Speaker 5: with population growth and that's coming. So it's what I
- 11:44Speaker 5: bring is business expertise as honest as a day is long.
- 11:48Speaker 5: I'm a man of integrity and I've been bringing results
- 11:52Speaker 5: since twenty fifteen, and before that, I did it in
- 11:55Speaker 5: our professional business life.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Where can people learn more about your campaign?
- 11:59Speaker 5: You know, you can go to the Facebook. You can
- 12:01Speaker 5: really go on Facebook there. It's like I said to
- 12:03Speaker 5: Eric J. Tarr State Senate, if you search that on Facebook,
- 12:06Speaker 5: you'll find the videos down there if you scroll down.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Just a couple of weeks ago, I think we put
- 12:11Speaker 5: on there a video that's very informed about me and
- 12:13Speaker 5: my family and my life, that has our whole family
- 12:15Speaker 5: and friends talking about talking about me essentially in our family.
- 12:20Speaker 5: And then you can go to my website websites Eric J.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Tarwvsenate dot com, and that video is on there as
- 12:27Speaker 5: well as all my positions on all kinds of policies
- 12:30Speaker 5: you might be important to you. You can go in
- 12:32Speaker 5: there and see what my position is, and my voting
- 12:34Speaker 5: record will demonstrated.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Final thirty, as we do with every candidate. Why should
- 12:37Speaker 2: someone vote to re elect Senator Eric Tar.
- 12:40Speaker 5: You know, I think that you want somebody who's going
- 12:43Speaker 5: to make the decisions you would make if you knew
- 12:45Speaker 5: what they knew. And so when you come up to
- 12:47Speaker 5: the Capitol, I have you'll recognize when I'm up there
- 12:51Speaker 5: that I'm a go to guy when people are looking
- 12:53Speaker 5: to develop policy that's confusing, they show up in my
- 12:55Speaker 5: office and ask for help. I'm a guy who can
- 12:58Speaker 5: influence other votes that when you go up it's more
- 13:02Speaker 5: important to be able to influence people around a good
- 13:05Speaker 5: idea to move Polsey through than just be one vote
- 13:07Speaker 5: and be a loud voice, as Greenhorns don't get that
- 13:10Speaker 5: when they come up there. So I've got the relationship,
- 13:14Speaker 5: the knowledge, the expertise, and I've got the record to
- 13:17Speaker 5: show that I'm the guy that can move Senate District
- 13:19Speaker 5: four ahead aggressively and I've done it.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Senat Eric Tarr, appreciate you being here, my friend. Thanks
- 13:24Speaker 2: a lot. Hang out with me just one a second.

- 16:10Speaker 2: I want to welcome in to the show now from
- 16:12Speaker 2: the City of South Charleston at Sean Zunaga. Welcome to
- 16:16Speaker 2: the show.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Thanks for having me. I it was good to be here.
- 16:18Speaker 2: All actually gets some big stuff coming up to the
- 16:19Speaker 2: Farmers' Market in South Charleston this Saturday.
- 16:22Speaker 9: Yes, we're actually very excited to kick off year two
- 16:24Speaker 9: starting in April.
- 16:25Speaker 6: First.
- 16:26Speaker 9: We had a very successful year one, so we're looking
- 16:29Speaker 9: to build off that and our first event is going
- 16:31Speaker 9: to be this Saturday at the Market's at Easter event,
- 16:33Speaker 9: we'll have the Easter Bunny There, tractor rides inflatables and
- 16:38Speaker 9: kids can walk through our Bunny trail candy trail and
- 16:41Speaker 9: collect candy with their Eastern baskets and everything.
- 16:45Speaker 2: So it's kind of like a trunk retreat, except for
- 16:47Speaker 2: the rabbits with rabbits. Now, if a business or people
- 16:54Speaker 2: want to come out to be vendors, I know you're
- 16:55Speaker 2: gonna have your normal vendors there, but can they can
- 16:57Speaker 2: they still take part of that?
- 16:58Speaker 9: Yes, fifteen businesses and places come to set up for that.
- 17:03Speaker 9: But if you're still interested, they can email me or
- 17:07Speaker 9: call me. My emails s Zuni at ceesheistroscent dot com.
- 17:10Speaker 9: They can call me at three zero four five five
- 17:12Speaker 9: two ninety seven eighty.
- 17:14Speaker 2: And for those who have never been to the farmers
- 17:16Speaker 2: market in South Charleston, and it's fantastic. I've been there
- 17:19Speaker 2: several times, but give us a lowdown on the farmers market.
- 17:22Speaker 9: Yeah, so we find a lot of great success so far.
- 17:25Speaker 9: We have all of our farmers coming back from last
- 17:27Speaker 9: year with Gritz Farm, Gritz Midway, Keen Quality Meets with
- 17:31Speaker 9: all your beef, hog and pork needs, Parson Rich Farms
- 17:35Speaker 9: with all your paltry needs, honeydew produce, and Muddy Mountain
- 17:39Speaker 9: Flower farms. So we have everyone coming back this year.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's great. There's a lot of parking, very
- 17:47Speaker 2: easy explain to people where it is.
- 17:49Speaker 9: It's very very easy to get to right off the
- 17:52Speaker 9: exit four thousand and six more Cocoa Avenue in South Tresson.
- 17:55Speaker 9: If you're not familiar with the area, I like to
- 17:57Speaker 9: tell people's right across the street from Bob ad By Wendys.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all you need to tell them. Yeah. And
- 18:03Speaker 2: one of the things too, about the about the farmers
- 18:05Speaker 2: market and you're going to open up I think you
- 18:07Speaker 2: said on April first, for your regular hours. What are
- 18:09Speaker 2: those outs?
- 18:10Speaker 9: Yes, it's starting April first, seven days a week, money
- 18:12Speaker 9: through Saturday nine am to six pm and Sunday twelve
- 18:15Speaker 9: to four.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Okay, if somebody wants to come out and be a
- 18:18Speaker 2: vendor for the farmers market, like cause I know you
- 18:20Speaker 2: have different vents. Sometimes you have those that are there
- 18:22Speaker 2: every week, and then sometimes you have those that are
- 18:24Speaker 2: just there a few times. How do they get involved
- 18:26Speaker 2: in this?
- 18:26Speaker 9: We have a website Southtrucks some farmers market dot com
- 18:28Speaker 9: and there's a vendor application you can fill out on
- 18:30Speaker 9: those go straight to my email and we continuously look
- 18:33Speaker 9: at those.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Only Willy Bakley's basis.
- 18:35Speaker 2: And you were telling me that I guess that you
- 18:38Speaker 2: were at a conference with some other farmers markets and
- 18:40Speaker 2: got some pretty good news from there.
- 18:41Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 18:42Speaker 9: So we went to the Farmers Market Association conference and
- 18:46Speaker 9: they laid out their metrics for gross sales for the
- 18:48Speaker 9: markets in this state and we were top three in
- 18:51Speaker 9: the state and twenty twenty five, which.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Is pretty good concerning you just started yes, yeah, yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 2: I mean it's pretty good stuff right there, because there's
- 18:58Speaker 2: there's farmers markets that's been around a lot longer than
- 19:01Speaker 2: that that didn't do as well. I mean, what's the appeal?
- 19:03Speaker 2: What do you use it? What we mentioned earlier.
- 19:05Speaker 9: I just think I think the two biggest appeals are
- 19:07Speaker 9: is location, and I think the other thing is, uh,
- 19:10Speaker 9: it's safe. People keep you know where, it's very safe area.
- 19:14Speaker 9: And you know, one of the comments that I got
- 19:16Speaker 9: from one of our food truck vendors is that is
- 19:19Speaker 9: she feels safe being there without her husband, and that's
- 19:22Speaker 9: I think that's a big compliment and kind of shows
- 19:25Speaker 9: how safe the area is right there.
- 19:27Speaker 2: And we're talking about the South Charleston Farmers Market in
- 19:30Speaker 2: this big Easter event that they're going to be having
- 19:31Speaker 2: on Saturday, but we're kind of giving you some information
- 19:33Speaker 2: about the farmers market as well. The Dave Island Show
- 19:36Speaker 2: on five EDI Line brought to you in part by

- 20:12Speaker 2: going on Saturday.
- 20:12Speaker 9: Yeah, so we'll have tractor rides, the Easter Bunny. You
- 20:15Speaker 9: can have pictures of the Easter Bunny face painting inflatables
- 20:19Speaker 9: or Canny Easter Bunny Trail. You can walk through collect
- 20:23Speaker 9: Canny with your Easter baskets from eleven am to two pm.
- 20:28Speaker 2: And there's no charge.
- 20:29Speaker 6: You no charge it's all free.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, unless you want to buy something and then
- 20:32Speaker 2: you got to pay for it. Yeah, preferably you got it.
- 20:36Speaker 2: And I mean again, you just have so how many
- 20:38Speaker 2: vendors do you have on average on an avacate.
- 20:40Speaker 9: Zone on average? So we have our pop up vendors
- 20:43Speaker 9: on the weekend, so we can have anywhere between fifteen
- 20:45Speaker 9: to twenty on weekends.
- 20:48Speaker 6: Yeah, and during the week so during the week of
- 20:49Speaker 6: about about eight to ten.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Okay, all right, and e the information is available.
- 20:53Speaker 9: Where at the either cityside Troussing dot com or they
- 20:56Speaker 9: can go to Southwarton Partestmarket dot com.
- 20:58Speaker 2: All right, And what else is exciting going on in
- 21:00Speaker 2: South charlest I know you're keeping a close eye on
- 21:02Speaker 2: everything there, you and Mayor Mullins. What's any any other
- 21:06Speaker 2: news on it?
- 21:06Speaker 9: So of course we got park Place going on right now.
- 21:09Speaker 9: Kroger is looking to open in late June. Right now,
- 21:13Speaker 9: We've got a couple other structures being built Mission Barbecue.
- 21:17Speaker 6: They'll start building soon.
- 21:19Speaker 9: And I think I think the great thing about it,
- 21:21Speaker 9: I think the Mary touchlas the other day is a
- 21:23Speaker 9: great thing about park Place. It kind of opened up
- 21:25Speaker 9: other development areas in the city. You know with Jefferson
- 21:29Speaker 9: Park and in spring Hill as well.
- 21:31Speaker 2: And again we're looking about that Kroger about the middle
- 21:33Speaker 2: of June, right, yes, and it's going to be the
- 21:35Speaker 2: only Kroger like that in the state of the state. I mean,
- 21:38Speaker 2: this is a what's it called again, Kroger market place,
- 21:40Speaker 2: Kruger Marketplace. Yeah, I mean because it's got everything.
- 21:43Speaker 6: Ye, it's one hundred and twenty two thousand square feet.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Right, all right, Sean Zen. Again, it's always a pleasure
- 21:48Speaker 2: to have you on it show, and I appreciate you

- 24:50Speaker 2: Mande Baran and Me coming up at noon, brought to
- 24:52Speaker 2: you by a Selango Law. On this show Tomorrow, former
- 24:54Speaker 2: House of Delegate member Rick Stton is going to join us.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I always love talking to former legend slaters, both Republican
- 25:01Speaker 2: and Democrat, to kind of get their read on the
- 25:03Speaker 2: current state of k I was going to ask you
- 25:06Speaker 2: about that I.
- 25:07Speaker 10: Sat next to him at in UH Judiciary Committee.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I was going to ask you if you got a
- 25:17Speaker 2: thought that you got served.
- 25:18Speaker 10: Together, and he was. And we used to have the
- 25:26Speaker 10: a show that we would put on the press would
- 25:28Speaker 10: put on for the legislator every year called the Fourth House,
- 25:33Speaker 10: and I would do everybody else would read scripts and
- 25:36Speaker 10: I would do actual imitations of people and I did
- 25:40Speaker 10: Rick Staton and.
- 25:42Speaker 2: We'll give it to us now, okay, all right. If
- 25:49Speaker 2: I can't, I can't ask him about it tomorrow when
- 25:51Speaker 2: he comes on the show.
- 25:52Speaker 10: I can't put it in a context. But he was.
- 25:57Speaker 10: We were doing an environmental bill once and I remember
- 26:00Speaker 10: he said on behalf of all the brown water drinkers
- 26:04Speaker 10: in Roaming County. You know, I can't do it like
- 26:08Speaker 10: I did it. I didn't understand. Yeah, but I used
- 26:10Speaker 10: to do him. I did ted Klausner from the green
- 26:13Speaker 10: Borough and but we have a lot of fun and
- 26:20Speaker 10: really really entertained, you know.
- 26:23Speaker 2: I don't, Danny, I don't remember. I mean I remember
- 26:27Speaker 2: reading about that, you know, and seeing skits on television
- 26:30Speaker 2: and so on and so on. I'm not so sure
- 26:32Speaker 2: you could do that today.
- 26:34Speaker 10: And I'm not sure they had the sense of humor.
- 26:37Speaker 2: That's exactly right, Yeah, I mean, because that was I mean,
- 26:40Speaker 2: from what I know about that and what other legislators
- 26:42Speaker 2: that I've talked to have said that, that was a
- 26:45Speaker 2: time when people didn't get their feelings hurts as easily.
- 26:49Speaker 2: And I don't know. There are certain political figures now
- 26:53Speaker 2: and again Republican and Democrats, for the few Democrats that
- 26:56Speaker 2: are there, that that would that would take it personally
- 27:00Speaker 2: and nobody took those things, you know, I mean from
- 27:03Speaker 2: what from what I've been told I was there that
- 27:05Speaker 2: they just didn't take it personally. It was it was
- 27:07Speaker 2: meant to be a joke and have fun with him.
- 27:10Speaker 10: And quite frankly, I made him roar. Yeah, I didn't
- 27:12Speaker 10: make him laugh. I made him roar and uh don
- 27:17Speaker 10: gracial then he was public television. He and I were
- 27:21Speaker 10: very close friends. And he would do uh kiss kiss,
- 27:28Speaker 10: and I would get down and grab him by the
- 27:31Speaker 10: by the leg. I'd be down minster speaker, you know,
- 27:36Speaker 10: I'd be I mean, it was just fun. And and
- 27:41Speaker 10: I remember Natalie ten at one time. You know they
- 27:46Speaker 10: had the song uh brick house commodore sim well, they
- 27:52Speaker 10: had Vics Brouse.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Nice. So why did you not spend more time in
- 28:00Speaker 2: state government?
- 28:04Speaker 10: I didn't fit. I didn't. I mean, I enjoyed being
- 28:10Speaker 10: in the house. I enjoyed being a reporter. But back then,
- 28:17Speaker 10: you back then you had to have a reporter. Now
- 28:19Speaker 10: you don't because it's all electronic, and.
- 28:28Speaker 2: You just to folks that may not understand what you
- 28:30Speaker 2: meant by reporters.
- 28:31Speaker 10: Well, I mean I went up there and worked for
- 28:35Speaker 10: your competitor radio.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 28:38Speaker 10: I we still have reporters, you know, I have as many,
- 28:41Speaker 10: but they don't step up at the front table, right yeah, well, no,
- 28:44Speaker 10: some do, some do well. I had my meran.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Not nearly as many as what used to do.
- 28:50Speaker 10: And I would pluy but you can do it from here,
- 28:53Speaker 10: everything everything to broadcast, yeah yeah, And I would plug
- 29:00Speaker 10: in my mornts. I had a morant, which is a
- 29:02Speaker 10: recording device, pretty antiquated, antique, and I had a microphone.
- 29:14Speaker 10: I kept the flag out there to promote, so already
- 29:18Speaker 10: I'll do it for here, I mean, if I was
- 29:20Speaker 10: still doing it. But I think the thing I enjoyed
- 29:25Speaker 10: doing the most was the lobbying for the municipal League,
- 29:32Speaker 10: because you can ask. I mean, I heard Lisa Dooley's
- 29:37Speaker 10: working for the Attorney General. I need to go apparents here.
- 29:43Speaker 10: She was our director. I mean, I took charge and
- 29:49Speaker 10: I kind of ran the lobbying part of it.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Here's what if I had to take a guess, And
- 29:58Speaker 2: don't take this wrong way, Danny, This is a compliment.
- 30:01Speaker 2: It's a backhand a compliment, but it's a compliment. You're
- 30:03Speaker 2: a guy who likes being in charge, you know, and
- 30:07Speaker 2: I don't know that a being a member of a
- 30:10Speaker 2: one hundred person body really really fits you, and that's
- 30:13Speaker 2: not necessarily a bad thing.
- 30:15Speaker 10: Well, I sat next to Vernon christ and I got
- 30:21Speaker 10: to be real good friends. We still are, and Peggy
- 30:25Speaker 10: Miller and Bob Burke who passed a long time ago.
- 30:33Speaker 10: Mark Carmon's running for the Senate. But you got to
- 30:37Speaker 10: remember I was drinking back then, so I made it
- 30:41Speaker 10: a good time.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Well, there's still enough of it going on there, so
- 30:45Speaker 2: you may not be there.
- 30:47Speaker 10: Do they really? Okay? Well, but I didn't let that
- 30:52Speaker 10: getting away of I doing my job. But really, when
- 30:57Speaker 10: you're twenty out of one hundred, you know, if we.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Were as the Republicans were at that time.
- 31:03Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean you. Well, what happened was John Hatcher,
- 31:08Speaker 10: who passed in the last year he was became a
- 31:11Speaker 10: judge down in fat County. He would if we beat
- 31:19Speaker 10: him up on Judiciary, well, the build never make the floor.
- 31:25Speaker 10: It just wouldn't make the floor. He wouldn't let us,
- 31:28Speaker 10: he wouldn't go down the floor and fight it out,
- 31:31Speaker 10: even though they had eighty twenty. If we beat him
- 31:34Speaker 10: in Judiciary wouldn't make the floor.
- 31:37Speaker 2: It's a totally different time too, And I like talking
- 31:40Speaker 2: to those legislators. As I said, I like to talk
- 31:43Speaker 2: about ones the ustless serve, but I also like to
- 31:45Speaker 2: talk you mentioned Bernard Chris to some of the ones
- 31:47Speaker 2: that were there then and are there now, because then,
- 31:50Speaker 2: you know, you got your story out, you know, via
- 31:53Speaker 2: the radio stations and public television and the three stations
- 31:57Speaker 2: in town, and the Gazette. Of course you had the
- 31:58Speaker 2: Daily Mail at that time some other publications as well.
- 32:01Speaker 2: But the difference, one of the differences is now is
- 32:04Speaker 2: that voters have direct access. They could always call or whatever,
- 32:09Speaker 2: but now they have direct access to our legislators via
- 32:11Speaker 2: social media and via email and things of that nature.
- 32:15Speaker 2: But also one of the differences is legislators now have
- 32:20Speaker 2: ways of getting their message out. I mean, and you
- 32:24Speaker 2: look at somebody and I'll just use her as an
- 32:26Speaker 2: example because I know she wouldn't mind. You look at
- 32:28Speaker 2: somebody like delicate Kaylee Young from here in Kanawa County,
- 32:32Speaker 2: who has quite the following on social media, not only
- 32:36Speaker 2: but I mean on TikTok and all these other different
- 32:38Speaker 2: forms and not of that nature and these and so
- 32:42Speaker 2: it's just a different time now, because if there is
- 32:45Speaker 2: a no vote as opposed to waiting for it. Then
- 32:49Speaker 2: the person can just get on social media and so well,
- 32:51Speaker 2: I tried to get this through for you, but so
- 32:53Speaker 2: and so blocked it. I'm not saying that Kayla doesn't necessarily,
- 32:55Speaker 2: but I'm just saying.
- 32:56Speaker 10: That's it's just a different Let me tell you, I
- 33:01Speaker 10: think the legislature is fortunate to have jb. Acres as
- 33:06Speaker 10: Chairman of the Judiciary Committee period. Okay, Why because I
- 33:12Speaker 10: think he's a quality, one quality person, and I think
- 33:19Speaker 10: he's so smart.
- 33:21Speaker 8: You know.
- 33:21Speaker 10: JB is so such a sharp guy, and he doesn't
- 33:26Speaker 10: have to be there, you know, and I kind of
- 33:30Speaker 10: got him into politics. So I'm I think the legislature
- 33:35Speaker 10: is lucky to have somebody of his caliber that is
- 33:40Speaker 10: willing to serve up there.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Have you been following the debate over the data centers
- 33:45Speaker 2: in West Virginia?
- 33:46Speaker 10: Oh?
- 33:47Speaker 2: The whats data centers?
- 33:49Speaker 12: No?
- 33:49Speaker 2: Okay, Well, you know, the big announcement came out that
- 33:51Speaker 2: Google is going to build one in the Buffalo area
- 33:54Speaker 2: Putnam County.
- 33:55Speaker 10: Oh yeah, I know.
- 33:56Speaker 2: And of course they've been battling it in Tucker County
- 33:58Speaker 2: and so on and so forth, and it's it's a
- 34:00Speaker 2: hot button topic and talk to centator tar about a
- 34:03Speaker 2: little bit earlier. He's one hundred percent uh in favor
- 34:06Speaker 2: of him, and they've they've talked about him in Mingo
- 34:08Speaker 2: County and different places like that. I mean, I just
- 34:11Speaker 2: was kind of curious because they do create jobs, a
- 34:14Speaker 2: lot of jobs. They're they're massive facilities, and people, I
- 34:18Speaker 2: think sometimes Danny, they think that, well, this is something new.
- 34:21Speaker 2: There's been data centers in the Charleston area for years.
- 34:23Speaker 2: You people just didn't know what they were, you know,
- 34:26Speaker 2: but these data centers are something I mean, and now
- 34:29Speaker 2: that we are relying more and more on cell phones
- 34:32Speaker 2: and AI and whatever. My what I have always said
- 34:36Speaker 2: about this is if you people will that will say
- 34:39Speaker 2: we don't want data centers, we don't, okay, well then
- 34:42Speaker 2: stop using your iPhone, stop don't use AI, you know, because.
- 34:45Speaker 10: Why why would they not want data centers?
- 34:48Speaker 2: Because well, there's environmental concerns. What environmental concerns. They they
- 34:54Speaker 2: utilize a lot of water in certain areas, they're they're
- 34:56Speaker 2: they depending on the type of data center, they could
- 34:59Speaker 2: be noisy, and I think and then there's those that say, look,
- 35:02Speaker 2: we're not against them, we just don't want them. I
- 35:04Speaker 2: mean they're not building a data center in downtown Charleston.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I mean it's going to be these centers are going
- 35:08Speaker 2: to be out and more remote area. How many jobs, well,
- 35:12Speaker 2: it all depends on how big the data center is.
- 35:14Speaker 2: I mean what they tj what they say the one
- 35:17Speaker 2: in Putnam County about one hundred or so jobs, four hundred,
- 35:20Speaker 2: four hundred jobsdal yeah, yeah. And the construction of them
- 35:24Speaker 2: is I mean that brings a whole lot more people
- 35:26Speaker 2: in the construction job is to twenty okay, two thousand
- 35:35Speaker 2: different you know, different construction jobs.
- 35:39Speaker 10: Back when I was in the legislature over on the Senate,
- 35:44Speaker 10: I mean you had some real quality legislators. I mean
- 35:49Speaker 10: Chuck Chambers was one. These are all Democrats. Bob Burke
- 35:53Speaker 10: my leader, he was another. But over in the Senate
- 35:58Speaker 10: and I think he's the best legislator I ever saw.
- 36:00Speaker 10: Was Lloyd Jackson. He was a Democrat from Lincoln County
- 36:07Speaker 10: and he won't do anything now, he won't serve, he
- 36:12Speaker 10: won't of course, let everything's gone Republican. I think he's
- 36:17Speaker 10: on the board of the Clay Center, and we wouldn't
- 36:21Speaker 10: have a Clay Center for wasn't for him. I was
- 36:25Speaker 10: a spokesman for the mayor of Charleston, Kim Melton, and
- 36:31Speaker 10: behind me were John mclarity and Newton Thomas. God blessed
- 36:35Speaker 10: both of them. And I was a spokesman for it
- 36:40Speaker 10: and we were losing it and Lloyd stepped in and
- 36:45Speaker 10: that was it.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Don't you think it's interesting you mentioned Lloyd Jackson. Earl
- 36:50Speaker 2: Ray Tomlin is another one, and Earl ray served for many,
- 36:52Speaker 2: many years, you know, and one of the one of
- 36:56Speaker 2: the youngest people ever elected of a legislator. Legislator, He's
- 37:00Speaker 2: spent a lot of time there and of course eventually
- 37:01Speaker 2: became governor. Do you find it interesting that so many
- 37:05Speaker 2: political figures have just I mean and granted Lloyd Jackson,
- 37:08Speaker 2: Earl Ray Tomlin, they've they've they've earned their time away
- 37:11Speaker 2: from the spotlight. But that so many that probably could
- 37:14Speaker 2: serve just walked away and said I'm done because I've
- 37:16Speaker 2: had some conversations with some people close to course, I've done.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Earl Ray tom On my whole life, he's one hundre
- 37:22Speaker 2: percent done. He's checked out, doesn't even pay attention to
- 37:25Speaker 2: doesn't think about it. He's whits his time, you know.
- 37:29Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 2: But but but still. I mean, do you think find
- 37:32Speaker 2: that's interesting that there's so many of the old I
- 37:35Speaker 2: don't want to say old school, but older school political
- 37:38Speaker 2: figures Danny that have just say yeah, I'm done, I'm out,
- 37:41Speaker 2: I'm done.
- 37:42Speaker 10: You're looking at one. Well absolutely, yeah, I uh, I
- 37:47Speaker 10: mean I can't imagine doing to do again. I mean
- 37:50Speaker 10: that's just.
- 37:51Speaker 2: What would it take to if somebody came to you.
- 37:53Speaker 2: And I know you've got other things going on in
- 37:54Speaker 2: your life right now, but if somebody came to you
- 37:57Speaker 2: and said, Danny, we want you to run for house,
- 38:00Speaker 2: I'll just put th it out there for a house.
- 38:02Speaker 2: What what would it take to get you to run
- 38:05Speaker 2: or what? Or what would your objection be to not running?
- 38:07Speaker 2: Because I know you're not going to do it, But
- 38:08Speaker 2: what would your objection be?
- 38:11Speaker 10: Phillal ethics report for one.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Thing, darned old ethics.
- 38:16Speaker 10: Uh, that's something that I helped, right, Yeah, well there
- 38:20Speaker 10: was no ethics until we we did that in eighty nine,
- 38:25Speaker 10: the ethics legislation. But I'm done with that. Yeah, it's
- 38:29Speaker 10: none of your business. I mean that I might not
- 38:36Speaker 10: get the committee assignment I wanted, I was able to
- 38:39Speaker 10: get it. When when Bob Burke was the leader. There
- 38:45Speaker 10: was one vote. There was twenty of us and there
- 38:48Speaker 10: was one vote that that put him over the top,
- 38:52Speaker 10: and that was mine. I said, you can have it.
- 38:55Speaker 10: I want your disiary committee. He said, you got it.
- 38:58Speaker 2: So one switch gears here for a moment. Let's get
- 39:02Speaker 2: to the war in Iran. Do you think we'll see
- 39:05Speaker 2: troops on the ground in Iran?
- 39:08Speaker 10: I think that if we see one boota on the ground,
- 39:14Speaker 10: the presence in trouble.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Why is that?
- 39:18Speaker 10: Well, I just think politically it's not a good fit.
- 39:27Speaker 10: I mean, just you're just given all the ammunition to
- 39:30Speaker 10: your opposition. You've already done it. I mean, it just
- 39:39Speaker 10: it won't work. It just won't work.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Do you think Iran retaliates somehow on American soil? And
- 39:45Speaker 2: I'm not just talking about a couple of loan wars,
- 39:47Speaker 2: I think sympathizers. I'm talking about an actual orchestrated attackers.
- 39:51Speaker 10: No, no, but it'll be lone wolves. Yeah, they're already here, David,
- 39:56Speaker 10: we had an open border for four years, I mean
- 40:00Speaker 10: on there already here. Yeah, they're they're able to do.
- 40:07Speaker 6: That.

- 43:32Speaker 2: Cecil Roberts, former UMWA president, is going to be the
- 43:35Speaker 2: keynote speaker. He himself a a Vietnam vent, a Vietnam veteran.
- 43:40Speaker 2: You had a story you wanted to tell.
- 43:42Speaker 10: Well, I'm just when I got back from Vietnam, I
- 43:48Speaker 10: went I spent the summer in California and it was
- 43:51Speaker 10: I drove a bus. I mean it was, it was
- 43:55Speaker 10: a cakewalk. And then I got out August twenty six
- 44:01Speaker 10: of nineteen seventy one, and the next two days later,
- 44:06Speaker 10: I was enrolled at Marshall, and Marshall wanted to make
- 44:10Speaker 10: me live in the barracks or in the dormitory. I said, no,
- 44:14Speaker 10: I'm not going to happen. I've already got an apartment. Well,
- 44:17Speaker 10: you're a freshman. I don't care. I'm twenty one years old,
- 44:22Speaker 10: I'm a Vietnam veteran. I'm not going to live. And
- 44:24Speaker 10: they said finally, okay. But what I remember was, and
- 44:29Speaker 10: I told this story before I thought it would help
- 44:33Speaker 10: me get a girl and get a job, and it
- 44:38Speaker 10: didn't do either. People didn't want to hear about it.
- 44:44Speaker 10: I don't know all these stories about people getting sped on.
- 44:46Speaker 10: Maybe they did. I didn't.
- 44:50Speaker 2: If you didn't experience it, you didn't. I didn't experience
- 44:52Speaker 2: but a lot did and possibly some didn't as well.
- 44:55Speaker 10: But it didn't help you. I mean, being a Vietnam
- 44:58Speaker 10: veteran did not help.
- 44:59Speaker 2: You, not maybe the way it would when the World
- 45:03Speaker 2: War II veterans came back.
- 45:04Speaker 10: Oh, the the benefits were better. They paid for your
- 45:09Speaker 10: college education and your expenses. We got one hundred and
- 45:13Speaker 10: seventy five dollars a month.
- 45:16Speaker 9: That was it.
- 45:17Speaker 10: And I mean, I mean, I have no regrets about
- 45:25Speaker 10: my service. I was shocked when they put me in
- 45:29Speaker 10: the Marine Corps. I can't tell you the feeling I had.
- 45:32Speaker 10: I almost fainted. I said, they can't do it. But
- 45:37Speaker 10: I'm glad I did. I mean, it's it was a
- 45:41Speaker 10: good branch of service to go in, and I had
- 45:45Speaker 10: a great experience being in the service. I wouldn't trade
- 45:48Speaker 10: it for college education, not for a minute.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Tex says, the more lying Trump administration goes on, the
- 45:55Speaker 2: more I'm realizing the open borders for four years and
- 45:58Speaker 2: flood of illegals are lies. Trump lies and conservatives are
- 46:01Speaker 2: scared people.
- 46:02Speaker 10: That's not true. Now, I'm not about him being a liar.
- 46:06Speaker 10: I'm not going to get into that. But the border
- 46:09Speaker 10: was wide open for four years period. I mean, the
- 46:16Speaker 10: numbers don't lie.
- 46:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Texas, I don't blame any of you for not
- 46:20Speaker 2: getting back into politics. It's a lot more toxic than
- 46:23Speaker 2: any of the time I can remember. A lot of
- 46:25Speaker 2: people of all parties are rude, disrespectful, and just play
- 46:28Speaker 2: nasty when talking about individuals with different opinions and views.
- 46:31Speaker 10: You wait and you know something. That's what I wanted
- 46:34Speaker 10: to say. I kept trying to think of court one
- 46:39Speaker 10: of my least favorite senators at Chris van Holland. And
- 46:43Speaker 10: then of course humor and they quote when they think
- 46:48Speaker 10: they won something. And we have a legislator who's passed
- 46:52Speaker 10: now and she's very liberal, but she was a very
- 46:55Speaker 10: good friend of mine and would help me on bills.
- 46:59Speaker 10: Her name was Pat White. She's in Putnam County, and
- 47:04Speaker 10: one time I won an amendment, you know, and she
- 47:09Speaker 10: came out of her chair and she went down and
- 47:11Speaker 10: shook her finger in my face. She said, no gloating.
- 47:16Speaker 10: I never forgot that. You don't gloat. You don't gloat
- 47:19Speaker 10: when you win because you're gonna lose. And the Republicans
- 47:24Speaker 10: are going to lose so many seats this time. Look
- 47:27Speaker 10: at all the retirements.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I actually I heard a report on ABC News
- 47:31Speaker 2: about that this morning that I mean, there are any
- 47:34Speaker 2: credible amount of people that are just choosing not to run.
- 47:38Speaker 10: I'll tell you there's one one one congressman I want
- 47:44Speaker 10: you to watch. He's one of my favorites, but I
- 47:47Speaker 10: don't think he's gonna be re elected. It's a guy
- 47:50Speaker 10: named Mike Lawler. You know who he is. He has
- 47:53Speaker 10: a beard, yeah, New York, and he won in Abiden district.
- 47:59Speaker 10: He's a very attractive person, I mean as a person,
- 48:02Speaker 10: as somebody that talks and everything. But if he gets beat,
- 48:07Speaker 10: the Republicans are going to have a long.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Night Texas High days. So according to Danny, a lone
- 48:12Speaker 2: wolf terror attack would be the result of four years
- 48:15Speaker 2: of an open border. I guess under Biden, I've heard
- 48:18Speaker 2: about sleeper terror cells of the US at least since
- 48:20Speaker 2: nine eleven. Do the Iranian terrorists come up through Mexico?
- 48:23Speaker 2: Or fly directly into the US.
- 48:25Speaker 10: No, we had people from all countries, Afghanistan, Red, China,
- 48:31Speaker 10: that all countries that came across that Mexican border. I'm
- 48:35Speaker 10: not making this up. And I'm sure they came from Iran,
- 48:39Speaker 10: and I'm sure they're sleeper sales. I'm I'm I'm not
- 48:45Speaker 10: making that up. Because I noticed it when it happened.
- 48:48Speaker 10: They would bring it up. I said, what, No, they're here.
- 48:53Speaker 2: I was going to ask you if you saw any
- 48:55Speaker 2: of the coverage of the No Kings rallies from around
- 48:57Speaker 2: the country on Saturday. Definitely, of these, they've had the biggest,
- 49:01Speaker 2: most widespread, and more people took part. Your your take
- 49:04Speaker 2: on the No Kings rallies, Well, people are having fun.
- 49:09Speaker 2: I'll say this, Danny, My wife and I were in
- 49:11Speaker 2: Huntington Saturday, not to protest. We just happened to be
- 49:14Speaker 2: in Huntington, but we were driving around an area uh
- 49:17Speaker 2: and uh, there was about in this area of Huntington.
- 49:20Speaker 2: It was around Pullman Square. There was about about one
- 49:22Speaker 2: hundred or so protesting there, and.
- 49:25Speaker 10: One time many were at the capitol about it.
- 49:27Speaker 2: I think about one hundred is what I've been told.
- 49:29Speaker 10: Is that all?
- 49:29Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe more. I wasn't there. I wasn't there.
- 49:32Speaker 10: Wow, they had him, they had him in the room Italy.
- 49:37Speaker 10: I mean they had they had him in Europe and Danny.
- 49:40Speaker 2: I'll say this. I am all for people's right to protest,
- 49:43Speaker 2: no matter what they're protesting. I applaud people for standing
- 49:45Speaker 2: up for whatever they believe in. However, I have to
- 49:47Speaker 2: say I'm not sure what the point is. I mean,
- 49:51Speaker 2: I know people are upset with the President Trump and
- 49:53Speaker 2: the policies, the economy, to the war in Iran, you know,
- 49:56Speaker 2: all of it, I guess. But if you go back
- 49:59Speaker 2: to the protest, let's say over the racial quality or
- 50:03Speaker 2: civil rights, meaningful change came from those things, right, I'm
- 50:08Speaker 2: not so sure what this accomplishes to be. I mean,
- 50:11Speaker 2: you surround yourself again, every right to do it, but
- 50:15Speaker 2: you know, we are against President Trump, we are against
- 50:17Speaker 2: these policies. Okay, what I mean, what do you expect
- 50:22Speaker 2: is going to happen?
- 50:23Speaker 10: Well, and it makes them feel unified.
- 50:26Speaker 2: But I understand, but unified to what? To what end?
- 50:30Speaker 10: It's a feeling? Yeah, that's all it is.
- 50:33Speaker 2: I mean, nothing is going to change, Nothing's going to happen.
- 50:36Speaker 10: It's gonna and give people like up Chuck humor, a
